All right, y'all, Peace and blessings, God bless you all. I'm
Jarvis Kingston, and I hope that y'all doing all ryan, staying strong and
solving these times. That wren. I pray that you have repented and that
you were baptized. I pray that you were safe, protected and prayed up.
And I just hope that whatever situation that you're going through, that the
Lord is with you, that he guides you, he protects you, he
looks out for you, he comforts you. I pray that your mental health
gets better. And I just prayed you keep on waiting for the Lord,
of trusting in him. Blesses the person whose hope isn't the Lord. Blesses
the person whose trust isn't the Lord. All right, So keep walking by
faith and not by sight. Stay on that narrow path, fight the good
fight of faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, keep your eyes fixed
on the Price, all right, and always start your treasures in heaven.
Y'all, Yes, yes, y'all. Let us thank the Lord for another
day. Let us think the Lord will baking us up today. Let us
thank the Lord forgiven us another day and of the breath and of the chance
to get closer to him and improving our other errors in our lives. Let
us thank the Lord for a food in our belly, closing our back,
u roof over our head. Let us think the Love for protecting us coming
in and coming out. And let us just think the Lord for just his
word, his creation, his mercy, his favor. His love is only
the gods to die for our sins, his promises as covenants. Letus think
the Lord for that, Amen, because that's very powerful. Amen. His
grace is very amazing, his favor, his love really is amazing. Okay,
So let's be more appreciative of that. Let us not misuse it or
abuse it. Let's not take it for granted. All right, let us
always be thankful and grateful, even through the highs and lows, the good,
bad ugly, through the trials and tribulations, the hardships, the test.
We still serve the Lord, we still love him, we worship him,
and we praise him. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all. Count
it all, joy, people, count it all, joy. Yes,
yes, y'all. Welcome everybody. Thank you all for listening and supporting.
It means a lot to me. I truly appreciate all of you. I
love you all, praying for you all. And we have to uplift one
another and Christ, we have to encourage each other in the Lord. All
right, So just I appreciate all of you, all four quarters of the
earth. Y'all. Yes, yes, greetings by your Christ alone family.
What is going on with you? All? Welcome? Welcome, welcome,

languages, all racist, all faces, all four quarners of the earth.
Whether you are an Israelite or a gentile, it is all right, whether
you were chosen or adopted, it is all right. Let us gather,
let us praise the Lord, put aside differences, or let us gather for
the most high staying unity. Amen. We are all in this together.
Okay. You are not alone in this journey. Your brothers and sisters or
Christ are with you. We're scattered all four corners of the earth, but
we are all with each other in spirit and truth and harmony and piece of
love. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all. Let us love the Lord,
our golf of our mind, hearts, soul strength that might. Let
us love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Let us constantly, keep doing
father's business and Father's will for the rest of our lives until his son comes
back. All right. His son is coming back like a thief in the
night. He has come back hour nobody knows but the father. All right.
He has come back for people, for a church with no spot,
no blemish, no wrinkle. All right, So let us stay ready so
we don't have to get ready. Amen, Yes, yes, y'all.
So start off this week. Start after this day, we're gonna continue our
Biber reading series. All right. So the last episode of the biber Ready
series we left off at the Book of Hebrews, which which was a very
excellent read. All right. Now we are in the Book of James,
all right, looking very forward to reading the Book of James and sharing it
with you all that. From there, we will close out with a prayer.
We'll close out with the priestly blessing, and we'll also close out we're
giving all the praise, honor glory to the most High God of Abraham,
ersk and Jacob, and praise is only Begune son who died for our sins.
Amen, yes, yes, ye. Also let us go in the
Book of James. Now before we go into James Chapter one. I would
like to read the commentary introduction build up before chapter one. Okay, so
let us go through with the intro. The author James, the brother of
Jesus, the audience the early Jews Christians who scattered because of persecution, the
date about a d. Forty nine. The setting James encourages former members of
the Jerusalem Church, now dispersed throughout the Roman Empire. Essentials of James,
written by one of jesus earthly brothers. The letter from James conveys the pithy,
the pathi no nonsense tone of a sibler who wishes he had paid closer
touching when his older brother spoke. James expresses a passionate, heartfelt, and
common sense faith in Jesus. He seems to realize the folly of furvish claims
of faith not supported by the way people live. While James knows what While
James knows that people can fake the externals of faith, he expresses great concern
about the dangers of such a false life. Do not merely listen to the
word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says one twenty two. He
pleads, as you read this letter. Notice james special ability to highlight players
where the rubber of faith meets the road of life. The ways the ways
you face hardships, perceive others needs, speak, and reach out all reflect
the quality of faith that guides you. What to look for in James,
the good that comes from trials and temptations. But we can learn from the
poor, the importance of controlling the tongue, how genuine faith finds a way
to express itself, the special challenges of riches, the art of practicing prayer.
All right, y'all, So let us now go into the Book of
James. Chapter one. Here we go James, a servant of God and
of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations.
Greetings, trials and tribulations. Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever
you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your
faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work, so that you may be
but sure and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom,
he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,
and will be given to him. If any of you lacks wisdom, he
should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and will
be given to him but whenever. But when he asks, he must believe
and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea,
blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he would
receive anything from the Lord. He is a double minded man, unstable in
all his ways and all he does. The brother and humble circumstances ought to
take pride in his high position. But the one who is rich should take
pride in his low position, because he would pass away like a wild flower.
For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant. It blossoms
fault, and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich
man will fade away even while he goes about his business. Blessed is the
man who perseveres under trial, because when he has to the test, he
would receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
When tempted, no one should say God is tempted me, For God
cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone but each one.
Each one is tempted when by his own evil desire he is dragged away and
enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin,
and sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death. Don't
be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, the father of lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth
through the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits
of all he created. Listening and doing, my dear brothers, take note
of this. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, as
slow to become angry. For man's anger does not bring about the righteous life
that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil
that is so prevalent and humbles up the word planted in you, which can
save you. Do not merely listen to the words deceive yourselves, do what
it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it
says. It's like a man who looks at his face in a mirror,
and after looking at himself, goes away, immediately forgets, and immediately forgets
what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law
that gives freedom and colts to do this, not forgetting what he has heard,
but doing it. He will be blessed in what he does. If
anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight ring on his tongue,
he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that our God,
that the religion that God, our Father accepts as pure and faultless as this.
To look after orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep on
keep oneself from being polluted by the world. It's the Book of James chapter
one reading right there, right, be a doer of the word, not
just so the listener, be a doer of the word, effective doer any
man, Yes, yes, yo. So as we review the Book of
James chapter one, James just goes further to detail, expressing everything to the
twelve tribes, all right, because at this time period they were all scattered.
Furthermore so, James is discuss them to them about trials and tribulations and
how you know, testing trials they builds up patience and perseverance and character and
things of that nature, and how that God wants us to be mature and
complete and not lacking anything, And that if we lack wisdom, we should
ask God, who gives generously and openly and freely. All right. But
we can't ask with doubt, all right. We gotta be confident, bold
and full of faith when we're asking God for things. Okay. Can't be
timid or shaky or doubting or skeptical about it. Amen. He is the
father of lights, so he gives perfect gifts to us. Then gotta want
it and do and go after it. Okay, gotta keep seeking God's facing.
What have you? I would love to read this in commentary scripture within
the Book of James chapter one, where God gives wisdom. Just want to
repeat James Chapter one, verse five. If any one of you lacks wisdom,
he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,
and it will be given to him, all right. Furthermore, James Chapter
one goes further to details, saying, blesses the man who perseveres under trial,
because when he has to detest, he will receive the crown of life
that God has promised to those who love him. All right, So the
crown of life. Paul talked about different crowns too within in the scriptures as
well. So there's five crowns in heaven. There's five crowns. Okay,
Yes, it's the crown of life, the incorruptible crown, the crown of
righteousness, the Crown of glory, and the Crown of rejoicing. All right,
So the crown of life is referred there's referenced within the Book of James,
all right. So make sure we get our crowns. People, Let's
make sure our lives reflect that. Let us go all the way to the
most high. Start our trust in heaven. Okay. Let us resist all
sensation down here. Okay, it's very easy for people to get caught up.
Us stand firm and be strong in the Lord in the world. Okay.
Furthermore, James goes more to detail discuss the temptation and things of that
nature, how it gives birth to sin and also to death as well.
All right. Furthermore, James goes into detail about how we are to be
first fruits that he created, all right, into that He gave us birth
through the Word of truth. All right. So it's so important how we
embrace his creation and why he created us in the first place, all right.
Furthermore, James says to you know, be slow to speak, slow
to anger, and to be quick to listen, all right. We got
to have better self control and discipline when it comes to our senses or what
have you, also saying how man's anger does not bring about the righteous life
that God desires, so you gotta keep your cool. People got to have
that composure and be cool, calm and collected a right and not let our
son go down on our wrath. Like you know, don't sin while we're
angry, all right. We all have different emotions at different times and stuff,
but that self control is what matters, okay, because I'm great.
Things don't happen out of anger. They just don't, all right. So
furthermore, James goes into detail about saying being a doer of the word and
not just a hearer, all right in this spiece for myself as well and
anybody who's listening. You know, I don't want to just keep recording these
episodes and not doing myself. So I'm I'm doing I've got to practice these
exercise these myself as well, all right. So as we hear the word,
they gotta do it too, all right, So we don't become a
hypocrite or contradict ourselves or what have you. All got to be consistent,
hey man. And furthermore, James just says that you know, whoever does
what the word says to do, you'll be blessing what you do, hey
man. It brings blessings, all right. And James goes into detail about
religion. But pure religion is, which is interesting, okay, says if
anyone considers herself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue,
he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Furthermore, he says,
religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless as this to look after
orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the
world. So we got to ask ourselves, like all these religions on earth,
do they really care for orphans and widows? And are we truly being
keeping ourselves polluted from this world? You know, it's like everybody's super worldly
people from all types of different religions or worldly too. You get what I'm
saying. And James just says right here that looking after widows and the orphans
is a real religion, pure religion, and that keeping yourself polluted from the
world. So basically being set apart, being holy, being consecrated, not
follow ways of the world. It's basically what James is getting at. We
got to ask ourselves, like, are we truly following God in his word?
Or are we doing the things of this world? You know what I
mean? Are we truly following pop culture, follow all these trends on social
media, or are we really following with the Lord selves? All right?
We got to evaluate our lives and ask ourselves that. All right. So
that is the Book of James chapter one reading. All right, So now
let us go into the Book of James chapter two. All right, James,
Chapter two. Here we go. Favoritism forbidden, my brothers, as
believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. Suppose a man
comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor
man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the
man wearing fine clothes and say here's a good seat for you, But say
to the poor man you stand there, or you sit on the floor by
my feet? Have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
Listen, my dear brothers. Has not God chosen those who are poured
in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the
kingdom? He promised those who love him. But you haven't sold to the
poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not
the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who
are slandering the noble name of Him to whom you belong. If you really
keep the royal law found of scripture, love your neighbor as yourself, you
are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted
by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles
at just one point, it's guilty of breaking all of it. For he
who said do not commit adults, you also said do not murder. If
you do not commit adults, you but do commit murder, you have become
a lawbreaker. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by
the law that gives freedom because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who
has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Faith in deeds, What
good is it, my brothers, If a man claims to have faith but
has no deeds, can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sisters
without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, go,
I wish you well, keep warm and well fed, but does nothing
about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way,
faith by self, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Faith with thought works is dead. But someone will say you have faith,
I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show
you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God
good? Even the demons believe that, and shudder, you foolish man.
Do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor
Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the
altar. You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and
his faith was made complete by what he did, and the scripture was fulfilled.
That says Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,
and he was called God's friend. You see, a person is justified
by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way,
was not even Rahab the prostitute, considered righteous for what she did when she
gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction. As
the body without the spirit is dead. So if faith without works is dead.
That's the Book of James chapter two reading right there, Yes, yes,
that right there. The word is a double less short does cut deep.
The word will have a way of humbling you. You could read the
word and the word will read you. Amen, it will read you.
All right. So as we review the Book of James chapter two, James
goes further to detail about how favoritism is forbidden and how we shouldn't show favoritism.
You know, a lot of times we tend to do that. Me
you will look at someone and on the outside and kind of go off on
that. But then we look at someone who may not have the most appeasing
appearance, we kind of look down on them or pre judge or kind of
you know, tree them a certain way. And and that's that we shouldn't
do that. If we're men and women are the most high. You know,
we're believes a guy. We shouldn't walk around with that mindset, that
approach. But all of us in our lives have struggled with this at some
point of our life. But we've grown a matured out of it. Okay,
some people still think like this, Some people still have that a coach
of how they go about certain things. And we're called not to do that,
all right. We should not show favorite toisom, all right, because
you know. Furthermore, Jancis goes into detail about how how the Kingdom of
Heaven is inherited by poor people. Basically, he and he goes James goes
friend and saying like, hey, you know, rich people are the ones
who send y'all the courts and persecute y'all and exploit y'all, slander the name
of the creator. You know, rich people are the most blasphemous people.
But you want to rich, You want to treat rich people and people to
status better than your own poor brother or our own poor sister. Ain't that
something? So that's what James just basically getting that. Furthermore, he goes
into detail about, you know, keeping the royal law found the scripture.
You know, love your neighbor as you love yourselves. You know, that's
you know, Jesus said that. Jesus said, you know, the two
most important commandments that sum everything up is to love the Lord your God,
all your mind hearts, so strength it might. And to love your neighbor
as you love yourselves. You know. So those those those laws are very
power fool all right, And those two things. You know, people struggle
with those two, believe it or not. So we have to be a
lot better with that. Man, get rid of and prejudice, spirits,
that favoritism, that indifference that races by a spirit. Get rid of that
in the name of Jesus. Get rid of that, because that's that's a
stumbling block for a lot of people. That's really within a lot of people,
all right, it's very obviously evident. Okay. Furthermore, James just
goes into detail about the law and people who stumble and break these things,
the law breakers and guilty of breaking all of it. Because what James is
saying is, hey, whoever keeps the whole law and yes, stumbles at
just one point, it's guilty of breaking all of it. You see.
So that accountability is important, all right, like every commandment matters. That
just shows you that because you can't pick and choose which commandments you want to
follow and deal you can't be nitpicky about it, you know, because he
brings up the examples of you know, do not murder, do not coming
adultery, and differ things like that. But you know that favorite that that
favoritism spirit, that's a very awful spirit to have. It's very awful.
Okay. Furthermore, James just goes into details, saying, speak and act
as those who are going to be judged by the lat of goods freedom because
judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy
triumphs over judgment. So be carefy you evaluate someone. Okay, you gotta
check yourself first, all right. Let us not be hypocrists and contradict ourselves.
You stand before the most High, when you stand before Jess and get
judge, you're gonna want that mercy. So you better have mercy on people
down here. You better not be misterating people and all that, because hey
man, everybody read what they saw. You know, God's to not be
mocked. So always keep that in mind. Furthermore, James just goes more
to detail about faith and works, faith and deeds. He just basically saying
how faith with that works is dead. You know. He brought the example
of Abraham and saying how Abraham had the faith and the works to go along
with it, and obedience and all of that because God told Abraham to what
to do, and Abraham went through without even hesitating to do it. God
told Abraham, hey, give up your son, and Abraham was right about
to do it, and the Lord said, all right, all right.
You see, that's the type of faith works we gotta have, okay,
because if we are having faith and no works back it up, it's useless.
You know. People be wanting all these things in life, but they
don't work for it. People wanting this and that, but their actions don't
reflect it, you know what I'm saying. And this goes for me too,
I'm you know, we got to improve it. All this stuff in
our lives, we have to improve in it, you know, Iris Sharpen's
iron because I'm not gonna sit like I got it all together and be doing
things out the park neither. That's the purpose of all this, you know,
as we read the word, we have to read ourselves and check ourselves,
and you know, look in the mirror and look at our personal lives
and look at how we're going about things like my faith in my work's really
adding up? Get what I'm saying, and not even just on the internet,
just in real life, you know, because God sees everything. God
sees everything and doing publicly privately. He sees it all. So he sees
who's really serving him all the way and who isn't. He sees who's really
getting ready for his son a return to who isn't. He sees who's trusting
in him and who's not. He sees who has the faith in him who
doesn't. He knows the hearts. Okay, he judges the hearts. So
we gotta be on point about our faith and works and our consistency in our
actions and our beliefs and things being aligned together. Can have one without the
other. Okay. The example James said was, you know what good is
if you have faith in no deeds? You know, can such faith save
him? You know, He's just like, hey, you know, suppose
a brother and sisters without closing daily food. If one of you said to
him go I wish you will keep warm and well fed, but does nothing
about his physical needs. What good is it? In the same way,
faith, by itself it is not accompanied by action, is dead. So
actions, people, actions, action, action. We need to be more
in action for God man. You know I speak for myself too. We
need to be more in action. Can't just be sitting on words alone.
The actions are more telling than words, always as always will be. You
know, we gotta remind ourselves for that. You know, you pray to
God for one of all these things or what have you, But you know,
for one is it really God's will? Do it? Then another thing,
it's like, are you even willing willing to work for it? You
know what I mean? Are your actions and plans towards what you want is
aligned? You know, a person could say, like, hey, they
want to lose weight, but they're not changing their diet or their habits or
their routines about their exercise or what have you. You see, faith that
that works is dead. So you have to be willing to put in the
work to back up that faith or a claim of what you want? All
right, and the works people works all right? And one thing every person
of God had all in common. They all had to work. They all
had it. Elijah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Disciples, Daniel,
Ezeki, Azaiah German. They always walking in faith. They was all obeying
God. They was all aligned. They would constantly obeying God constantly, constantly.
Of course, he has some people in the Bible who you know,
messed up out of their ways, but just in general, like Daniel,
he was always on point. And Bible said Daniel had an excellent spirit.
So Daniels is obedient. Samuel was obedient, obedient faith works, trusting the
Lord, walking intom obeying him. Boom. So that's how we gotta be
okay, because when the scripture says, love the Lord, I got far
from my heart is so strength that might you notice to say strength and might.
So it's an all out effort. It's our works. How it's an
all out thing, you see, because if you if you love the Lord
just verbally, you know what that scripture says. It says, hey,
with their lips they honored me, but the hearts are far from me.
You see what I'm saying. So if you just love God with your lips,
but you don't love him with your mind, your heart, your soul,
your actions, your where you live in you, you know your works.
See yeah, man, man, we gotta check ourselves. Man,
we gotta do better. I ain't sharp, desirn. People. I ain't
sharp, desirn. I speak for myself too, and anybody listening. Man,
we gotta be better people. We have to, right. So that
is the Book of James chapter two reading. Amen, Yes, yes,
y'all, so alright? So, and and also in James chapter two even
goes further to say how even rahab Rehab the prostitute, she was even considered
righteous for what she did. She gave lodging to the spies that sent them
off in a different direction as the body without the spirits dead. So faith
of thought works is dead. All right. Keep that in mind, people,
keeping in mind, all right. So what I love to do before
I read James chapter three, Before James chapter three, I would love to
read this commentary within James chapter two. Amen, all right, I write,
y'all, So here we go. Today's Bible reading James chapter two Versus
fourteen through twenty six. Recommended reading the Book of Genesis chapter fifteen, versus
one through six. The Book of Matthew chapter seven, Verses twelve through seven,
twenty seven, and also a book of Second Peter chapter one, Versus
five through nine. All right, the title of this commentary is walk the
talk. A few things annoy us as much as people who talk a good
game but can't back it up. The co worker who is aggerates his sales
prowess but can't pull off the big deal. The man who claims to shoot
like Michael Joan on the basketball court but can't sink even the easiest shot.
The Christian role model who condemns unrighteousness and sent in other people's lives then is
caught up in some illicit scandal. Our culture even has a cliche to describe
this principle. If you're going to talk to talk first, you need to
walk the walk. The apostle James uses a bit more formal expression. Faith
of thou works is dead verse twenty six. Works always an inevitably accompany true
faith. Our actions don't save us. Faith alone does, but faith can't
exist without accompanying action. Faith in works, faith indeeds work together. When
it comes to this combination, then we need to walk to talk as followers
of Jesus. When we struggle to act on our faith. We don't need
to beat ourselves up. Only one person in all of human history effectively merge
the perfect faith with a perfect life, Jesus. We can't solve the problem
of falling short by just trying harder to do right. Instead, our positive
actions must spring naturally from what's going on in our hearts. When your faith
indeeds don't seem to coincide, consider the following. Examine your heart. Does
it gravitate toward God or towards En? Perhaps scars from previous experiences are negatively
negatively affecting your openness to God. Ask Him to remove those wounds and heal
your emotions so you can serve Him more effectively. Take a thorough inventory of
your walk with Christ. Do you desire more of Jesus? If not,
pray that God will replace unhealthy desires with a deeper hunger for knowing Christ.
Live your life out in the open. Don't claim to be more spiritual than
you are. Be yourself, Confess your fears and shortcomings, share your victories.
You'll discover that you're not alone theologians. Theologians call the lifelong process of
merging faith and action sanctification. It's God's way of making us more like Christ.
Walking and talk doesn't come easily. But when we make sure that what's
going on in our hearts is pure, the appropriate actions will naturally float out
of them. Then with James, we can humbly and confidently say, I
will show you my faith by what I do Verse eighteen. Amen, Yes,
yes, y'all. Things to take away from the commentary, how well
do you walk to talk? What internal struggles or temptations prevent you from living
a life that reflects your faith? What steps can you take to build a
stronger faith? Very reflective commentary, right there. Okay, so let's walk
it, walk it, walk it, y'all. Walk in the power of
God, walking walking at faith, walk by faith, not by sight.
Do what he said to do. Preach the gospel, spread the word,
baptized of the nations due to Father's will. Works works works, bear fruit,
people, bear fruit. Jesus said, a tree that doesn't bear fruit
is getting thrown out into the fire. Bear fruit people. All right,
All right, So that's the Book of James chapter two. Reading with the
commentary. Now let us go into the Book of James chapter three. All
right, the Book of James chapter three. Here we go, taming the
tongue. Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers,
because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all
stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says,
he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body. His
whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to
make them obey, as we can turned the whole animal. Or take ships
as an example. Although they are so large and driven by strong winds,
they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.
Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes
great boast. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small
spark. The tongue is also a fire, a world of evil among the
parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course
of his life on fire, and it's itself set on fire by hell.
All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and creatures of the sea are
being tamed, and have been tamed by man. But no man contained the
tongue. It is a restless evil full of deadly poison. With the tongue
we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who have
been made in God's likeness. Of the same mouth come praise and cursing.
My brothers, this should not be both fresh water and saltwater flow from the
same spring, My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives or grape vine
bear figs? Neither can a sault spring produce fresh water. Two kinds of
wisdom. Who is wise and understanding among you, let him show it by
its good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not
boast it. Do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such wisdom
does not come down from heaven, but it's earthly. But it's earthly,
a spiritual of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition,
there you find disorder in every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from
heaven is first all of pure then peace loving. Consider it submissive, full
of mercy and good fruit, and partial and sincere Peacemakers who soul in peace
raise a harvest a harvest of righteousness. All right, that's the Book of
James chapter three reading right there, Taming the tongue. M wow, that
self control. See, self control is not just only like your physical body
has. It's the tongue. Self control thoughts, self control in the mind,
self control and your attitude, the way you see things, the way
you perceive things, self control in the heart, self control, what your
habits, routines, put that tongue. You know, James really went in
about taming the tongue. He says that we could praise God win the mouth
and the curse. I I'm in with it. I mean, man,
man, man, I mean you know, I mean you see, y'all
could go out and quote the scripture right now, and then if you're driving
on the road and somebody cut you off on her, you're gonna cuss up
a storm beat the horn, ain't you? So? Like James really went
in about that. You know what I'm saying. He was just basically saying,
like, it shouldn't be that way. We shouldn't be a hypocritic contradicting
ourselves, even just through our tongue. Because you know, when you read
the Book of Proverbs, it describes how life and death is in the power
of the tongue. You know, the things you say it literally makes your
life or breaks it literally does. You have to be careful what you speak
over your life or what you speak towards somebody. Words can heal or it
can hurt for real some people. Everybody's sensitivity levels are different. The way
people react and respond to things and receive stuff are always different. That's why
the Bible always tells us to be gentle, considerate, compassionate, calm,
understanding of what have you. Because the things you say, how you say
it, the tone, the mannerisms, all that matters. And all throughout
our lifetime we've dealt with all types of people who, you know, they
just got a nasty tongue. Man. You know when I say that,
I don't mean it from just like you know, they just say mean nasty
things man. Like you know, we know evil world, you know what
I mean, we know really messed up world. So there's people that really
just say hurtful things, man, very painful things, insults, bad words,
just very harsh things. Man. I think the Book of Proverbs it
says something about there's a generation whose tongue is like knives or who who Who's
whose teeth are like veins? I think in proverbs because it's saying like how
people are so mean and hurtful with their mouth and their tongues and the things
they say, how they say it. Of course, the way people blaspheme
God and mocked believers or what have you, obviously, and the way people
insult each other on social media, the way people say mean harsh things,
the way people verbally abuse others and bully one another. A person's bad words
can literally traumatize somebody. There's people out there who are tormented by what somebody
said to them years ago or probably just recently. I mean, I don't
know you guys lives. I don't know what you guys and dirt and went
through. But there's people out there in the world who are tormented by what
somebody said to them in elementary school or middle school, or high school,
or in college or you know, life after school. You know, or
someone says something bad at the job, like a customer custed out, somebody
or your co workers says something mean or heart to your supervisor, manager,
or your next door neighbor, or it could be any I'm telling you man,
that the tongue is dangerous. See James, he goes in about the
tongue man, because it's dangerous. You gotta understand all these profits, all
these our forefathers, the Disciples of Christ, they all dealt with ridicule,
They all dealt with mockery, insults, they all dealt with bad name man.
You got understand what they dealt with. Bro. You see Alicia Elisha
wasn't having he put them bears on them children. He was in front of
games. But you know, the profits to everybody else. We had to
always take the higher road. We had to always, you know, keep
it moving. You know what I'm saying, Because people say harsh things,
man, and words do hurt, all right. I don't care how tough
you are. I don't care how gangs do you think you was. I
don't care how mentally strong you think you are. If somebody say something really
hurtful, it's gonna trigger you. It's gonna really make sure they shoot.
It's gonna make you want to hurt them. I mean, even in the
Book of Proverbs, it says a person's mouth calls for blows, a fool's
mouth calls for blows. So people could say things that can literally instigate,
that could trigger you, that could make you want to fight them, that
could make you want to just really put hands on them, man, Because
because people just are disrespectful. People got no respect for themselves or others.
People have no moral morality or just any decency. Man. And and remember
Jesus said in the last days, the love will grow cold. You know,
people be offended. The spirit of offense is at all time high.
It ain't always just old people sensitive, and it's it's just you understand times
of people that's walking around this earth. Man. I mean the things people
just be saying to each other, you know, the insults, the disrespect,
the mannerisms. This is a classless generation. Man. We're wearing a
fallen world right now. We're in a really distasteful generation. You understand,
very distasteful, man. You know what I'm saying. I mean, heck,
you got little children cussing out man. You got these little children cussing
like sailors is. You've got children cussing like the forty fifty year olds out
here. Bro. You know what I'm saying, Like, man, I
mean, people just got a bad mouth man, and the little babies,
the youth, the teenagers, these young adults of course, middle age people
you are, know them them grumpy types. Oh gosh, you know sometimes
even a few older people man that they'll just say real messed up stuff,
you know, James just saying like, you know, it shouldn't be like
that, you know what I'm saying. And it says how the tongue is
also a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body.
It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course on his of his life
on fire, and it's itself, it sets itself on fire by hell.
So people could say hell bound things. Man, like you be like you
ever was a round a person, just be like, how can you be
so messed up? Like the how can you be so evil and so dark?
It well make you say something like that just now, I'm telling you
that comes from a dark place, man, It comes from hell, man,
you know, like the you know, even when you read the Book
of Proverbs, it talks about how a good word makes the heart glad,
and how a good word and an obedient ears like golden apples, you know,
like like Solomon. The Proverbs it kept going on and on about how
you speak good words, how you speak good towards one another, How healthy
it is, how beautiful it is. How marryr heart makes the body,
does the body good like medicine. How married heart is a continual feast,
you know. But furthermore, like Solomon went on and on about how a
contentious woman, you know, it's like a rain that never stops. It
says, better to be on the corner of a rooftop than to be in
a house shared with a contentious woman. You know, a woman that can't
stop talking, a woman that just go ah, just nagging, nagging,
you know that just you know, vexing. You see that vexing spirit,
that annoying spirit that just won't shut up. Spirit, don't know when to
be quiet spirit, that contentious spirit. Proverbs goes on and on about the
heart and the tongue and mannerisms. Man, it's crazy, you know,
but also says, what's in the heart person, so is he? Whatever
a person thinks in their hearts, so is he. So when someone shows
you who they are, and I stay, man, that's who they are.
You know, we in the last days were in the days of Noah,
you know, we in perilous times when you know, you don't think
Noah got ridiculed when he was building that arc, when he was obeying God
and he was the only righteous one in that generation. You don't think them
people was badmouth and Noah and saying all types of crazy stuff towards him.
Jesus was dealing with insults and mockery for dying for our sins. You know
what I'm saying that the Pharisees, they kept going at him and insulting him
and blaspheming him and disrespect to him. But but Jesus handled it with loving
grace. Though See, Jesus could have easily sent them holy angels and you
know, and he could have really got real spiritual with and you know,
just Hylijah called fire from heaven. He Jesus could easily did that too.
He could have called him holy angels and everything. But he handled it with
love and grace. That's why Jesus told us to walk bol why she just
told us to be wiser service, be gentle as doves, because he's saying,
hey, I send you a sheep among wolves. Okay, So dang
there, every person you're dealing with, as you're saying out by the spirit
you're dealing with a wolf. The people are verbally just aggressive, verbally just
on edge, verbally rady to just tear you up. You know what I'm
saying, Like you don't bother nobody. You just be out the way,
and people just say crazy stuff to You'd be thinking like, man, what's
up with this person? What I did to you? This isn't so he
understanding satan. He understands how the tongue. He understands that. So his
age is his devices, wicked schemes like they all through the tongue, blasphemy,
hurtful things. That's why Jesus was saying, you know, what comes
out of a person's heart tells you if they're clean or not clean. You
see what I'm saying, because Jesus just saying, like sexual morality, malice,
hate, all that comes out the heart. Man. You know.
So man, you know, James, Chapter three is very powerful. I
know I'm kind of really going on about this, but I'm just like,
man, like you know, taming the tongue, I'm just like, wow,
man. And then with this social media, with these trolls and these
fake profiles and these hateful comments and mean messages, all this bullying and cyber
bulliant. I'm telling you, like, like dog people die by that stuff.
Man. People I heard like people come in suicide over verbal abuse man,
and and cyber bulliant. That's how crazy it is. Man. You
know so people just say mean heart stuff. Man, it's wild. Man.
Well, I'm telling you, like having self control and composure and this
era, boy, it's very challenging. I don't care the type person you
are, me and you whoever. Man, I'm telling you, like,
you may be peaceful and calm and loving or what have you. But most
environments you in and most people deal with ain't so like keeping your composure for
Christ, keeping your your cool for God. That's a challenge. Bro.
It's not easy. I'm telling you, it's not easy. You'd be really,
you'd be ready to put some hands on people, bo, you'd be
ready to I'm telling you. But hey, man, you know got to
have that self control. Man of self control. You know, vengeance belongs
to him, all right. And even when you read at Saiah, of
course it says no web performed against you, sean prosper and at any tongue
that rides up against you and judgment will be condemned, all right, so
you know what I'm saying as the heritage of the saints, So there will
be time, a time and place where you could put some money they place
verbally or what have you. And then you got that cool, cool calm,
collect self control. You know, God can handle that foolish, foolish
person. I've seen people verbally assault me, attack me, and I've seen
God punish them right on the spot, gave them instant judgment or or down
the road. Um you see them and they're in a real bad place in
their life. I've seen throughout my life through personal experiences. I remember going
to you know, elementary school and middle school, high school. People should
say harsh things to me and messed up stuff. And then you see them
down the road in life. They're looking crazy. They're in a bad spot.
And the thing is, you don't wish nothing to nobody, but you
just see how how how the Lord repays evil, How the Lord repays people
with bad mouths, bad tongues, mistreatment of others. You know, people
with that type of tongue and attitude, they really think they're not gonna get
judged for that or recompense for that. You gotta understand when you disrespect it
is a light or a gentile you really dispect the most high. You know,
if you talk to you, if you disrespect them, talking crazy to
a child of God, a man of God, a woman of God,
you you're basically going out their father who sent them or put them in that
environment. So that's why the Lord said vengeance is his because the whole thing
is like, Hey, anybody touched my children, they getting it. Anybody
by the my kids, they anybody by my children, They're gonna get it.
Ain'tbody harm my sheep physically, verbally, they gonna get it. So
you know you gotta count it all. Joy man. All the profits in
the Bible, they all dealt with name calling, assaults, ridicules, disrespect,
mockery. They've they've dealt with it all. And that's why, like
Jesus is the perfect example because he'd been there, done that, He suffered
it all. He bared it all for our sins. So my thing out
of this whole thing about people with bad mouths and bad tongues is like,
if Jesus can bear with all the mockery and insults and ridicule for our sins,
I believe that he handled it with love and grace too. I believe
we could get through this evil generation through love and grace. I believe so
all right with God, all things are possible. I know some of you
have been hurt really bad verbally, probably by your partner or your ex,
or a co worker or a friend whoever in your life. Hey, probably
some of your family members. Yeah. Some people come from abusive verbal,
abusive households, a tossic environment. Some people come from you know, just
crazy environment situations. And you know, it's it's like, hey, man,
you know, if Jesus can handle that with love and grace, we
can too. We just gotta stop being so like like, oh, I
ain't nobody from trying me dud. Like we saw an edge about that.
But it's like, that's not Jesus way of handling it. It's not it's
not always about being a bigger person and being a bigger man and all.
That's not even really about that. It's just like you on this neurow path.
You can't let some goofy person throw you off the trail, all right,
you can. You can't take debit. You gotta remember Satan. He
loves to use his agents and goofy people to do his work, his dirty
work. In the spiritual warfare, words are powerful, all right, whether
you're praising God or singing a song of him, worshiping praise and calling out
on the name of the Lord. Words are powerful no matter what word you
say out there is out there. Okay. So Satan and his devices is
falling angels them, demons and in spirits them. Torment and spirits. They
like to attack verbally, They like the verbally attack God's people, like to
vex them or use random people to do it. So Jesus, the prophets,
all of them, they were able to go through that with strength and
being and trusting the Lord through it. And these end times we're going to
experience it on a much more higher level. Like the hate for God's people
is going to intensify and get stronger. The disrespect towards God's people is gonna
get stronger. So we gotta get stronger than the spiritual warfare. We got
to be stronger than the Lord. Okay. We can't be emotionally unintelligent.
We can't be always losing self control and anger all the time. You know
what I mean? You know, So the tongue is powerful. Man.
I know I went in along about this James, but when I read James
three, this one really stood out to me. Man. I just said,
man, like the tongue, man, you know the way people will
just be talking. Man, I mean, man, you go to a
supermarket, somebody who was getting cussed out. Every time you go to the
gas station, the applies that still running air, somebody about to fight throw
down over words. Man, I'm telling you, the disrespect is at an
all time high. Man. James is saying, like, Yo, these
people they speak these evil words. Man, these people disrespectful out of here.
So all right, just make sure you're not doing that, all right.
Make sure you're always speaking the gospel, the good word, hope,
encouragement, love, peace, good tidings. Make sure you're always giving the
good news. Make sure your words ain't harmful like evil people's words aren't.
Mind for real. Gotta gotta gotta tame that tongue. People, gotta have
self control, all right, all right. Furthermore, when we review the
Book of James, chapter three, James goes further to detail about two types
of wisdom. He's talking about how you have heavenly spiritual wisdom and then you
have earthly, unspiritual wisdom of the devil. All right. He's basically saying
like, like, Hey, you know he said, who is wise and
understanding among you? Let him show up by as good life, by his
deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. Basically saying like, but
if you harbor bitter envy, bitterness, envy and selfish ambition your hearts,
do not boast about it, or do not a you know, you said,
such wisdom does not come from down from heaven. But it's earthly,
unspiritual of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there
you find disorder in every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven
is first of all pure, then peace loving. Consider it submissive, full
of mercy and good fruit, and partial and sincere. Peacemakers who sulk in
peace raise a harvest of righteousness. Amen. God is the God of peace,
most definitely, So let us keep it peaceful. Let our wisdom always
be heavenly, Let it be from heaven. All right. Don't be two
wise or two righteous. You ruin yourself and all this earthly wisdom. It's
unspiritual. Okay, Let make sure we always ask the love for wisdom.
Amen. Yes, yes, So that is the Book of James chapter three
reading. Okay, I just want to read this in commentary scripture of James
chapter four, verse seven. Even though they get to yes, as God
looks for submission, submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he
will flee from you. Alrighty, alrighty, So always submit to God.
People always always always resist surrender, let it go. Let God always always
submit to the Lord. Amen. All right. So that's James chapter three
in a commentary scripture. Now let us go into the Book of James chapter
four. All right, James chapter four, Here we go. Submit yourselves
to God. James chapter four. What causes fights and quails among you?
Don't they come from your desires? That battle within you? You want something
but don't get it. You kill a cavette, but you cannot have what
you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do
not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you
ask with wrong motives, wrong attention. Is that you may spend what you
get on your pleasures. You adulterous people. Don't you know that friendship with
the world is hatred towards God, and anyone who chooses to be a friend
of the world becomes an enemy of God. M Or do you think Scripture
says without reason that the spirit he calls to living us envies intensely, but
he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says God opposes the proud,
but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves then to God. Resist
the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he
will come near to you. Wash your hands your sinners, and purify your
hearts. You double minded, grieve mourning, wail. Change your laughter to
mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he
will lift you up. Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who
speaks against his brother or judges him, speaks against the law and judges it.
When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting
in judgment on it. There's only one lawgiver and judge the one who is
able to save him destroy. But you, who are you to judge your
neighbor? Okay, boasting about tomorrow? Now listen you who say today or
we would go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry
our business, make money. Why you do not even know what will happen?
Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow? What is your
life? You are missed that appears for a little while and then vanishes a
vapor. Instead, you ought to say, if it is the Lord's will,
we will live and do this or that as it is you boasting,
brag all such boasting as evil? Anyone then who knows the good he ought
to do and doesn't do it. Since Book of James Shopter fore reading,
Man, I'll tell you James was going in man, Jay, James is
not playing with y'all. James was not playing, but he was talking to
the control tribes. Man. He would hey, man, you know he
will. James is not playing as definitely Jesus brother and man, it was
not playing with y'all, boy man. Book of James Shopter four. It's
like when I read these, it's like be just punching my It's like a
body blow. You know what I'm saying. It's a gut check, man,
really chin check you. You know what I'm saying. Because we just
go through our lives where we go through and then once you read that word,
it just be like, oh, okay, be hidden, you know.
But as we review James chapter four, James just goes more to detail
about what caused us fights and crawls among you, and it's like it all
comes from desires to battle within you, you know. And he says,
you know you don't guys, you don't have something, so you want to
killing Covetto over it. You know what I'm saying. But you can't have
what you want. It's basically saying like you know, you're crawling your fight.
And he says you do not have because you do not ask God.
He said, when you ask, you do not received because you ask what
the wrong motives or intentions, and you may spend what you get on your
pleasures. See, we be asking God for all these types of things that
we want out of life. But the reason why a lot of people's answers
don't get a lot of people's prayers don't get answered because people don't have right
intentions. All right, it's not just what you're praying for is why you're
praying for it? You see what I'm saying, Like the motives, the
intentions, what's the root of one and this desire. What's the root of
this request, submission, prayer, things given or what have you? Like,
why you're praying for this? Why do you want that? You know?
And when when you're really talking to God and like praying to ask them,
you know, it's like the things you should mostly be praying to God
about asking about is more about protection, answers, love, peace, you
know, things that really matter, like strength during this battle, you know,
was the not understanding your Holy Spirit guidance? You know, that's the
main type of stuff we should all be praying about. Those are the main
types of prayers the forefathers of provience all prayed about. They didn't just pray
for random materialistic stuff because they weren't lacking. You know, we we you
know, so we didn't always have our mind set on stuff like that we
fast for today. You know, people pray all these things that and they
don't even have the right intention in the first place. Like people be praying
for stuff just so they could bride the social media about it. They don't
even pray for like real things that matter. But we're not here to be
little anyone's requests or what have you. Now, if Presson has a need.
It's one thing, but like it's the intention, you know, Like
if you're saying, like, Lord, provide me with a job or this
or that, right, but it's like you get the job, are you
gonna really do the job right? Are you gonna spread His word in that
job? Are you going to carry yourself and upright matter in that work environment?
Are you going to save a soul in that job? Are you going
to be able to stay strong within that work environment that God blesses you with?
Right? Or you know, it's it's attentions that matter. Because God
will answer people's prayers when they ask for faith and alignment and all those different
things. But a lot of times the prayers don't get answered. People always
question themselves and wonder why. You know, we got to ask our intentions
in the first place. It's my heart, right, Do I still have
unforgiveness in my heart? And my seeking self and selfish ambition? Am I
seeking self pleasure? Am I seeking narcissism? Why am I really praying for
this stuff? Am I seeking validation from social media? Am I trying to
prove a point to somebody? See, that's the type of things you got
to ask yourself about your own intentions. A lot of people and they don't
want to look in that mirror. You gotta looking at mirror. You gotta
be like, well, why am I praying for us? So why do
I want this? Like you know what I'm saying. So, you know,
James just goes further to detail about your motives and pleasure. You know,
most people pray for pray out of wrong intentions and motives and for pleasure.
They don't even have good intentions when they're asking God for things. Okay,
so we got to be more mindful of that. Furthermore, James goes
into details, saying, you adulterous people. Don't you know that friendship with
the world is hatred towards God. Anyone who choose to be a friend of
the world becomes an enemy of God. Look at that. You know,
we are called to be set apart people anyway within this world, but not
of it. We're not supposed to be following the ways of this world and
trying to get along. We're not supposed to be going about it that way.
Honestly, gotta understand that a lot of times people get so caught up
in the world and so lost in it. They lose their way in that
stuff. Man. You know, like God calls us to be come back
to him, come back to his word, come back to his presence,
come back to obeying him, come back to living for him. He calls
us to do that because the ways of the world is against the most high.
And obviously you can see that vividly every day. You know what I'm
saying, So very interesting things James said, Very powerful, potent thing he
said. Furthermore, James goes into detail explaining how we should always submit ourselves
to God and resisting the devil so he could flee from us. Come near
to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, your
sinners, and parify your hearts. You double minded look at that. Yeah,
James was not playing with us, y'all, Hugh, James wasn't playing.
Yeah, That's why I love about these men are the most hide these
these people man like you know, Paul and James and Man the Elijah,
Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah. These these men could give that word, man,
they knew how to give it, and we have to give in that
same manner. See, it's you know that love, correction, edification right
sharp and iron. You have to be about that. It's the only way
press could grow and get better. Okay, if we're going around just giving
a bunch of feel good stuff, it's gonna keep people in sin, it's
gonna keep people comfortable, it's gonna keep people not fearing God. You see
what I'm saying. The purpose of this word is to make us fear the
Lord better more often than to get more closer and obedient towards him. So
we got to be better in these areas, man, all right. Furthermore,
James going to detail about, you know, saying, humble ourselves before
the Lord, and he will lift us up. That's very true, very
true. Jesus said, whoever exhausts himself will be humbled. Whoever humbles himself
with big exalted. So furthermore, James goes into details, saying brothers do
not slander one another. He says, anyone who speaks against his brother or
judge him, speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the
law, you're not keeping it, but sitting in a judgment on it.
He says, there's only one lawgiver and judge, the one who is able
to save him destroy it. But you, who are you to judge your
neighbor? I love how James questions us. He questions our approach, our
attitude towards one another. You know, who are we to really judge?
Right, Because the same fault we could find is somebody, We could find
it more within ourselves. Honestly. See, you might find something that you
don't like as somebody to feel offended about it or what have you. But
you know, trust me, you look at deep in that mirror, you
look at yourself. There's a lot more then you can point out someone else.
Okay, So let us, you know, be on point and be
more evaluate ourselves better. Man, We gotta evaluate ourselves. And furthermore,
in the Book of James, chapter four, James going to detail about boasting
about tomorrow and you know it basically saying how tomorrow's not promised, you know,
and you never know what a day could bring forth. We know Jesus
said that, and we also know that's said also in the Book of Proverbs.
You know that's very true. Man, Life is very unpredictable. Things
are happening faster than ever. I mean, there's a whole lot of good,
bad and ugly going on. These last days, Like some people are
experienced some good things instantly randomly surprisedes, but a lot of people just getting
hit with all types of stuff, man, all types of shocks and traumas,
losing loved ones. You know, you just never know what they may
bring forth, you know, rejection, hurt, things just happening. You
know, you're planning a trip, you get God forbid any when this happens.
But just saying, this happens every day all over the world. Okay,
so you know someone out there, maybe you're planning a trip, then
you know next to you know, they hit the highway and an accident happens.
You see what I'm saying, Like, you never know what a day
could bring. That's why we have to always be like, if it's God's
will, if God has swollen, then I'll look forward to doing this,
this and that. That's why we gotta take it one day at a time.
We got to make each day full and effective, take it one day
at a time, all right. And that's basically James just getting up.
You know, he's just saying like, hey, you don't even know what
tomorrowic could bring. Man, you don't you don't know what could happen in
your life. And he's basically saying, like our life is a vapor,
it just vanishes. You know. You hear one moment and boom, it's
gone, just like that. You know, time is speeding up, man.
Things don't even feel the same, like an hour, don't even feel
like an hour, no more a day, don't even feel like a day.
Like things are just speeding up. There there's prophecy being fulfilled. When
you read the Book of Daniel, it says how God countrols the seasons he
couldtrols the times he could he did. He got a speeding things up,
y'all. He's speeding it up. You see all this stuff going on.
If he's speeding it up, man, I'm telling y'all, so we gotta
take it one day at a time. With this time that we do have.
Now we'll use it effectively daily getting closer to the Lord. We're living
out his word, practicing it, doing it, saving the soul as best
we can, or what have you, and seeking him and get closer to
him. And also just in our personal life with your day to day,
going to your career, your job will have you just take it one day
other time you never know that they could bring for it there. Maybe somebody
out there listened to us is probably going through a real harsh time or a
troubling time. You gotta hang in there. I mean, God can turn
that bad moment into something really good. He could surprise you just like that.
I'm telling you. There's people all types of testimonies and good tidings,
and they could tell you how much the good news, the good news,
the Gospel save them, how much the Lord delivered them or set them free,
how God changed their lives, how they woke up the good news,
how they you know, found out they got that good email, they got
that good you know. So always stay in the moment, people, always
trusting the Lord, all right, and take it one day at a time,
all right, because tomorrow it's not promised to anybody. Man. And
when we're looking around, Shoot, these young people they die more harsh and
faster than everybody else. Like this, these young kids, they live so
fast. He's chosen these young teenagers, these these young adults, theyre living
so fast. You know, when you're living like fast and reckless and lawless,
you know, it's just like dang. You know, people be shortening
their own days with their actions or what have you. Man, you know,
and the Bible does talk about hard days and number but you know,
you gotta churish this life. Man, You gotta embrace it, take it
one day at a time. People, whenever you're about to plan something or
go on a trip or whatever, just say, if God is willing,
I look forward to doing this. If it's God's will, then let us
will be done to leave me here or take me there. That's how we
should be talking. We should always just be going on on bragging and boasting.
Because furthermore, when you read James chapter four, you know, James
just declared, declares. He says, as it is. He says,
you know, you don't boasting, bragg and he says all such boasting is
evil. All boasting is evil. Okay, So he says anyone that who
knows the good but does not do it, it's a sin. All right.
So if you know better, you do better. All right. We
all grown, We don't know right from wrong, so let us do better
from that wana, all right. It's not time to play dumb or have
excuses. All right. You gotta sharpen up. You gotta sharpen up and
tighten up a man. Yes, yes, y'all. So that is the
Book of James chapter for reading. Now let us go into the Book of
James chapter five. All right, the Book of James Chapter five. Here
we go. Warning to the richel, Warning to rich oppressors. Now listen,
you're rich people, weep in well because of the misery that's coming upon
you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your
gold and silver are accorded. They're correct. Will testify against you and eat
your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look
the wages you failed to pay, the workmen who mold your fields, or
crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of
the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth and luxury and self indulgence.
You have fatten yourselves in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered
innocent men who are not opposing you. Patience and suffering. Be patient,
then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for
the land to yield this valuable crop, and how patient he is for the
automnan and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because
the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or
you will be judged. The judge is standing at the door. M brothers,
as an example of patience in the faith of suffering, and take the
prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we
consider blessed those who have been who have persevered. You have heard of Job's
perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full
of compassion and mercy. MM. Above all, my brothers, do not
swear, not by heaven or by earth, or by anything else. Let
your yes be yes, and your no be no, or you will be
condemned. The prayer of faith. Is any one of you in trouble,
he should pray. Is anyone happy, let up sing songs of praise.
Is any one of you sick, He should call the elders of the church
to pray over him and annoy him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer offered and faith will make the sick person well. The
Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he would be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so
that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and
effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it
would not reign, and it did not reign on the land for three and
a half years. Again he prayed, and that heavens gave rain and the
earth produced its cry. My brothers, if one of you should wander from
the truth and someone should bring him back in bringing back, remember this,
whoever turns a center from the era of his way will save him from death
and cover a multitude of sins. Yes, yes, that's some gems right
there for you. You have it. That's a Book of James chapter five,
very very powerful read right there. So as we review the Book of
James chapter five, James just gives him warrant to all the rich oppressors.
Man, man, man, James is not playing. And when I read
this first part of James chapter five versus one, all the way through six,
like I'm thinking of all these oppressive rich people that still exists to this
day, Like all these owners of these billionaire companies, these super top people
in the world, you know, all the Bill Gates that Elon Musk is
the these billionaires Amazon, all these companies, you know, the way they
stay at the top. They oppress workers and they oppress people. And when
you read it like James went in on chapter five, he said, he
said, the misery is coming upon you. He said, your wealth has
rotted and eating your clothes and mosying your clothes. And he said, he
said, you have hoarded wealth in the last days. He said, the
wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields a cry out against
you. You know, if there's a lot of labor strikes, y'all see
that right, all these companies, these these workers are going on strike.
See James five, man, I'm telling you, the cries of the harvesters
have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth and
luxury and self indulgence, indulgence, you have fatten yourselves in a day of
slaughter. You have condemned and murdered innocent men who were out of post to
you, blood sacrifices. Huh mmm. I'm telling you James's not playing man.
And it's so crazy that he talks about rich oppressors, because these these
rich super companies, these superhist companies. They really oppressed the workers. They
don't pay them, no benefits, no pension. I just saw this,
like random video on Twitter. This dude. I don't know if he was
like a construction work or a factory work or something. Dude had flipped out
because he was having issues with his pension or something like that. I don't
think. I don't think the company. The company did some type of deal,
some crazy stuff, bro. You know how that get down that,
you know, and the worker was mad because he worked. He worked for
that company for like thirty years, like thirty plus years, and he wasn't
even able to get no benefits or changed due to that whole like transaction.
It's a wild crazy story. And I'm just thinking, like, wow,
man, the way these companies begin over on people and these workers man as
wild. So um yeah, man, Like you know, James went in
about that. Man. You know, everybody here got these different jobs and
careers and all this stuff, and they get oppressed, they get used up,
they get mistreated in the work environment, they go through all this stuff
in the workplaces, they don't they don't get appreciated for their work of their
honor, you know. And my, my thing is when I do these
like podcast messages or what have you. Or this is why I constantly tell
everybody who's listening to like, keep working for God. Man. God is
not oppressive man. God looks out man. God blesses, He comforts,
He provides man. God does not mistreat his workers. Man, he does
not. He values what we do for him. And we were singing praise
with worship. We call out to him and crow on him. We leave
people to him his word or he do his work and through his will do
father's business. Man, Like I'm telling you. You know, the scripture
says that He's a reward to those who diligently seek him. You know what
I mean. He really is a rewarder man, He truly is. And
I have just a superficial way and materialistic external fain way, just like his
protectors being protected by God. Man knowing you was loved, by the fact
that you're loved by him, He's protecting you. He has angels protecting you.
You know what I'm saying. His outstretched arm, his mighty hand,
his finger got just all over your life. The blood of Jesus pleaded all
in your life, all around you. You know, God look, look,
God looking out for you, even at your lowest points, God caring
for you. God is near to the Lord's near to the broken hearted.
God cares about his people, He cares about his children, He cares about
his workers. These jobs and these companies they don't care about you, They
don't care. But God cares about you. You crowd to the owner of
the company. The owner ain't gonna want to hear nothing you crown about you.
Crowd to the Lord. You call on his name, He'll show you
great mighty things. He will do amazing, great mighty things if you humble
yourself a calling his name. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all. These
these jobs, these companies, these these these supervisors, these higher ups,
you already know that corporate stuff. Man. So James really went in on
them and let them know what they said the later day of the Lord is
coming, so the you know the Lord's coming in near. So even you
know when Jesus, when Jesus was preaching and doing Father's business, you know,
he really went against those rich people because he made that parable by house.
It's harder for a camera to go in need of an eye than it
is for a rich man into the game. Of heaven, because these rich
people they're hard to very tainted. Man, they're hard to attention to,
messed up and then get over and ruthless and do whatever to stay on top.
But again judge for that, all right, all right. So furthermore
in the Book of James, Chapter five, James goes further to detail about
patience and suffering. He tells us to be patient and the Lord's coming,
and he says, how the farmer waits for the land to yield his valuable
crop, how patient is for the ottumn springs, and spring rains you to
be patient, stand firm because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against
each other, brothers, or you would be judged. The judge is standing
at the door. Alright, he alright, he said, brothers. As
an example of patience in the face of suffering, take prophets who spoken the
name of the Lord. As you know, we consider bless those who have
persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance, and how have seen what the
Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, and
he says, above all, he told brothers to not swear by heaven or
earth. Okay, or anything that your yes. Lets let your y sps,
let you know b no, or you'll be condemned to send into what
Jesus said, you know, let your sps, let you know b no.
Anythink more than that's from the evil one. All right. And furthermore,
let's see what we have here. James just goes more to detail about
the prayer of faith. All right, and fame buys in trouble. Pray
anyone happy, let him six songs or praise anybody's sick, calling the elders
of the church and pray for him, Pray for her, anoint him,
annoy her with the oil and the name of the Lord. All right,
and the prayer offer the faith will make the sick person well. The Lord
will ray him up. If he has sin, he'll be forgiven. Therefore,
a confessior sins to each other and pray for each other so that you
may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
So it's for that part of that. A righteous man prays for met each
other man for real, you know, because it's it's effective. God really
hears those, He hears his people, He hears it. You know what
I'm saying, because you know the prophets, they could pray, boy them
old this could pray and God hears them. Okay, I just want to
read this in commentary scripture within James five. God hears prayer the Book of
James, chapter five, verse sixteen. Yeah, I just want to reread
that. You know, therefore a confessor sins to each other and pray for
each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man
is powerful and effective, most definitely is y'all. Elijah was a man just
like us. He prayed earnestly that would not reign, and did not reign
on the land for three and a half years. And again he prayed,
and the heavens gave rain and the produced its crops. My brothers, if
one of you should wonder from the truth and someone should bring him back,
remember this. Whoever turns a center from the era of his way will save
him from death and cover a multitude of sins. Let us always correct each
other in turn brothers and sisters away from their sins. Y'all. That's why
we gotta spread this gospel, okay. Gotta save these souls, Gotta reach
to these people, to the Kingdom. Okay, gotta keep spreading the word,
ain'tmen. Yes, yes, y'all. So that you have it.
That is the book of James reading. All right, very excellent read,
very awesome, awesome read. Man. I mean that that book is just
five chapters, but it's full of gems. Man, James was not playing.
All right. We gotta be for real, for real about this is
how we go about this walk with God, our relationship, how we're going
about things. Okay, So let us always be doers of the word and
being a faith and you know, be patient and that's suffering. Be patient,
and them trials and test people. Okay. Crown of life, Crown
of life, Crown of life. Okay, all right, y'all. So
there you have him. What I would love to do is I close out,
is give all the praise, honor and glory to the most High God
of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and praise is only the Godson who died
for our sins. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all, So here we
