and that you help outs, maybe pus you count along your journey.
And I just pray that you let the Lord use you, let the Lord

being stubborn, stop being hardheaded, stop leaning on your own understanding, and
just listen to what the Lord is telling you and showing you and move by
the spirit, live by the spirit, and to not be currently minded when
you're approaching spiritual warfare. Okay, yes, yes, y'all. Let us
think the Lord for another day. Let us think the Lord for waken us
up and giving us another chance to get closer to Him and to do his
will. Let us think the Lord for a food in our belly, clothes
on our back, roof over our head. Let us think the Lord.
Let us think the Lord for protecting us coming in and coming out, and
those around us as well. Amen. Yes, yes, got to be
more grateful, got to be more appreciative things. Too many people complain now
to make people praise anymore. Too much people bigger and whine about what's wrong
and what's bad and what's going on. And there's not enough people praising God
for what the Lord has brought them through in the first place. Amen.
So it us always be grateful, gratitude, always be appreciative of everything that
the Lord has done for us, because we can't count how much good He's
been to us. We just can't count it. Amen. Yes, yes,
y'all, welcome everybody. I appreciate all of you guys for listening supporting.
It means a lot to me. I appreciate your support. I love

the Lord. Us uplift for each other in Christ I as sharpens iron,
gladness, joy, merry, heart, goodness, love, peace, hearty.
Let us spread that towards each other. Let us strengthen each other and
the Lord stability, and pray for one another. Okay, because it's a
lot going on out there, so we have to be supportive. Okay,
Yes, yes, y'all. Let us worship and truth their spirit. Welcome
everybody, all people's, all nations, all tribes, all languages, all
tongues, all racist, all faces, all four corners of the earth.
God bless all of you. Whether you're an Israelite or a gentile, it
is all right. Whether you are chosen or adopted, it is all right.
Let us all praise the Lord. Let us give them all the glory,
honor and praise forever. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Yes, yes, all of God's creation should praise the Lord. Everything that
has breath, all the mountains, all the trees, all the plants,
all the animals, all the creatures, in the sea, all the birds
in the air, everything that has breath, let it praise the Lord.
Amen, Rejoice, always rejoice. Okay. Let us love the Lord our
golf, all of our mind, hearts, soul, strength that might.
Let us love our neighbors as we love ourselves. And let us keep obeying
the Gospel, obeying the Word. Let us keep being obedient. Let us
keep knowing the Lord better. Okay, let us keep seeking his face.
He is a reward to those who seek him diligently. Okay. So with
sincerity, always chase God and pray for what you need to pray for.
Okay, whatever prayers, thanksgiving, petitions, requests, make it know to
God, the supplications, whatever. Okay, you know what you need to
make that request towards the Lord, and do it in his Son's name and
He'll do it. Amen, touching, agreeing, Yes, yes, y'all.
God's timing is due, timing, perfect time. And so have that
patience and durance and strength as you're going through what you're going through right now.
Okay, alrighty y'all so, yes, yes, y'all so. And
today's message, we're gonna continue our Bible reading series. All right, we
left off on the Book of Colossians. Reading Okay, very great, excellent
reading. So now we're going to continue in the book of First That'ssalonians.
All right, So we're going to go through the Book of First That'ssalonians,
and then we'll close out with the prayer. We'll close out with a priestly
blessing, and we'll also close out we're given all the praise on the gold
to the Most High God of Abraham, myersk and Jacob, and praise only
begun. So die for our sins, amen, Yes, yes, y'a.
Also here we go, So before wegin to First Thessalonians, chapter one,
we're just going to read the introduction commentary of First Thessalonians that go from
Darrel Kay. So here we go. The author, the apostle Paul,
the audience, the church, and Thessalonica. The date about a d.
Fifty one, the setting. Writing from Corinth, Paul encourages the young persecuted
Christians in Thessalonica Essentials of First Thessalonians. Paul's first letter to the Church at
Thessalonica offers help and encouragement ask Christians encounter their final enemy, death apparently expecting
Christ's imminent return. The Thessalonian believers struggle to connect the message of that expect
to return with the reality that fellow Christians among them are dying. Paul writes,
to expand their understanding of God's plan. He wants them to realize that
those who die in Christ don't have to wait any longer to enter eternity.
At the same time, those who remain alive must concentrate on living lives that
honor Christ. As you read First Assalonians, recognize that healthy spiritual living often
includes reflecting on the brevity of life as a follower of Jesus. Look for
ways in which hope and promised shine brightly even a dark valley of death.
Find encouragement and encourage others with this amazing resurrection. Hope What to look for
it in First Assalonians, struggles and joys that come from sharing the Gospel,
Hopeful prayers for others, the power of a hard day's work, seeing death
as a wake up call encouragements many facets. All right, y'all, so
let us go to the First Assalonians Chapter one. Here we go, all
Silas and Timothy, to the Church of the Thessalonians in God, the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you, thanksgiving for the
Thessalonians faith. We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in
our prayers. We continually remember before our God and the Father, your work
produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by
hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers loved by God,
that He has chosen you, because our gospel came to you, not
simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with
deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You
became imitators of us and of the Lord. In spite of severe suffering,
you welcome the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit, and so
you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaiah Akia. The
Lord's message reign out from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaiah or your
faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore, we do not need to
say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave
us. They tell us how you turn to God from idols to serve the
living and True God, and to wait for his son from heaven, whom
he raised from the dead, Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
Right. So that is the book of First Thessalonians, Chapter one,
right there, Paul, Silas and Timothy writing letters to the Church of Thessalonians
and giving them thanksgiving for their faith, and just giving them appreciation and props
because they turned away from the idols and served the true Living God. And
how the gospel was not just spread just with words, but also with power,
with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction, okay. And also how
in spite of suffering, you welcome the message with the joy given by the
Holy Spirit. So they will all throughout Macedonia and these regions just preaching and
all throughout Greece, just giving the word and these letters to these people,
all right, And that Jesus will come back to rescue us from the coming
wrath, ain't men. So that's the First Tessalonians chapter one reading. Now
let us go into chapter two, all right, Paul's ministry and Thessalonika.
You know, brothers, that our visit to you was not a failure.
We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi, as you know. But
with the help of our God, we dare to tell you His gospel in
spite of strong opposition. Opposition for the appeal we make does not spring from
error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the
contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel.
We are not trying to please men, but God, who test our
who test our hearts. You know we never used flattery, nor did we
put on a mass to cover upgreed. God is our witness. We were
not looking for praise from men, not from you or anyone else. As
apostles of Christ, we could have been a burden to you, but we
were gentle among you, like a mother caring for our little children. We
loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the
Gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you have become so
dear to us. Surely you remember, brothers are toil and hardship. We
work night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone. While
we preached the Gospel of God to you. You are witnesses, and so
as God of how holy, righteous and blameless, we were among you who
believed for you. Know that we dealt with each of you as a father
deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live
lives worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory. And
we also thank God continually, because when you receive the word of God which
you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men,
but as it actually is the Word of God, which is at working you
who believe. For you, brothers, who became imitators of God's churches in
Judea, which are in Christ Jesus, you suffer from your own countrymen the
same things as those churches suffer from the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus
and the prophets, and also drove us out. They displeased God and are
hostile to all men. In their effort to keep us from speaking to the
gentile so that they may be saved. In this way, they always heap
up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them
at last. Paul's longing to see the Thessalonians. But brothers, when we
were torn away from you for a short time in person, not in thought.
Out of our intense longing. We made every effort to see you,
for we wanted to come to you, certainly I Paul did again and again,
but Satan stopped us. For what is our hope, our joy,
or the crown in which we would glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus
when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory
and joy. All right? So that is the book of First Thessalonians,
Chapter two reading. Okay, So furthermore, Paul goes into detail about his
own mystery and Thessalonica, and he's just reminded them of how spreading the godspel
came with a strong opposition, but we still got the word out regards what
was in the way, and just really doing it for God and not to
please men. And or it's to remind people that God does test the hearts
of people, all right. Paul just goes further to detail about to explain
how much he cared for the people. They're dealing with hardships and toils and
burdens, and how through all that they were still being able to prospect the
gospel towards them and encouraging and comforting them to live worthy lives of God.
All right. So you know how Paul just streussed him that he called us
to glory and to His kingdom and glory, and that we should always thank
God continually because we were all able to receive the Word and to make it
work in us and to you know, help us believe in all those different
things. And Paul goes further to detail about how they went through their afflictions
and their persecutions and sufferings, all those churches, and how from their own
people and all so how they suffered from the Jews because the Jews were trying
to stop people from They're trying to stop them from pritchet gentiles. So all
these churches, all these people, they all dealt with all types of persecutions
and attacks for the sake of the Gospel. Okay. So you know,
no physical people, no physical thing, can stopped spiritual matters or prophecy being
fulfilled in man. You can't stop the Word of God. You can't stop
people from being saved. All right, that God's will be done. And
Paul goes further to detail about how and Paul's longing to see the Thessalonians.
Yeah, so Paul just kept wanting to see the Thessalonians, but he described
how Satan stopped him. So it's interests on how the devil can try to
resist so many people from doing so much things are going places. So or
it's got had a spiritual strength to be led by God in the spirit.
And you know, let the Lord guide your steps, all right, because
the enemy, his agents, the principals of the world, the evil darkness,
the rulers, they always trying to stop God's people from going where they
need to go or do what God called him to do. Amen. So
let us be strong in our steps, in our journeys, and keep serving
the Lord wherever we go, and help us make people as we can.
Amen. Furthermore, Paul goes into detail about for what is our hope,
our joy or the crown in which we would glory in the press of our
Lord Chiez when he comes. Is it not you? Indeed, you are
our glory and joy. So Paul ends the first That'salonius chapter two with that's
saying, okay, now let us go into first as Salonius chapter three.
All right, First, as Salonius chapter three, here we go. So
when we couldn't stand it no longer, we thought it'd be best to be
left by ourselves and Athens, we sent Timothy, who is our brother and
God's fellow worker and spreading the Gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you
in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials.
You know quite well that we were destined for them. In fact, when
we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted,
and it turned out that way, as you well know. For this reason,
when I could stand it no longer, I sent it, I sent
to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the
tempter might have tempted you, and our efforts might have been useless Timothy's encouraging
report. But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought
good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always
have pleasant memories of us, and that you long to see us, just
as we also long to see you. Therefore, brothers, and all our
distress and persecution, we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For
now we really live, since you're standing firm in the Lord. How can
we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in
the presence of Our God because of you, night and day. We pray
most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your
faith? Now? May Our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear
the way for us to come to you. May the Lord make your love
increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does
for you. May strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy
in the presence of Our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all
his holy ones. Yes, yes, y'all. That is the book of
First a Simonians, chapter three reading. So as we go through that review
it, Paul just going more further to detail about how they had to go
to Athens. That's how much Satan was disruptive in their travels and journey,
so they had to end up just being in Athens by themselves. But then
they said Timothy, and Timothy went out their way, went out his way
to go preach and spread the encouragement and spread the gospel, the good news
of faith. And love or what have you. And Timothy came back with
good report, good news, and they felt good all in all that they
were able to be around each other and show love and increase the love of
God withinness into you know, just spread that gospel. Man. It's always
beautiful when people are welcoming and hospital showing hospitality and love. Because it's not
easy doing this stuff. So going from place to place doing this on this
journey, it can be a lot of challenges and bumps up the road.
But God clears the way. God makes a way for us. Amen,
he really does. So God allowed Timothy to get going and do the work.
So okay, so let let the Lord, let the spirit gode us
wherever we go from here on. Now the amen, yes, yes,
y'all. So that's first Tessalonians chapter three reading. Now let us go to
first, That'salonians chapter four. All right, First, That'salonians chapter four.
Here we go living to please God. Finally, brothers, we instructed you
how to live in order to please God. As in fact you are living
now. We ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus, to do
this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the
authority of the Lord Jesus. It is God's will that you should be sanctified,
that you should avoid sexual immorality, that each of you should learn to
control his own body in a way that is wholly and honorable, not impassionate,
less like the heathen who do not know God, And that in this
matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord
will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and
warned you. For God did not call us to be imperor, but to
live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject
man, but God, who gives you his holy spirit. Now, about
brotherly love, we do not need to write to you, for your yourselves
have been taught by God to love each other, and in fact you do
love all the brothers there throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers,
to do so more and more. Make it your ambition to lead a quiet
life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands,
just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect
of outside of sins, so that you will not be dependent on anybody the
coming of the Lord. Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant
about those who fall asleep or to grieve like the rest of men who have
no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we
believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him according
to the Lord's own word. Tell you that we who are still alive,
who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not proceed those
who have fallen asleep, For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with
a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call
of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that,
we who are still alive and our left will be caught up together with them
in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will
be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage each other with these words.
It's a book. A first, That'salonians chapter four reading right there, very
very excellent interest and read. So as we review first that Salonans four,
Paul is just expressing to live a life that's pleasing to God, and that
we should avoid sexual morality. And not be caught up at our passionable lust,
and not be passionate about less like to heave him. But we should
have self control, have control of our own bodies, and be holy and
honorable. But how we go about there, it's okay. And also Paul
goes further to detail about not taking advantage of people, all right, to
not wrong people, person's brother, and that the Lord will punish anybody who
does these such sense and we warned and told those things over and over,
okay, And Paul goes further to detail saying, for God had not caused
to be impaired, but to live a holy life. He says, Therefore,
he who rejects this instruction does not reject man, but does not reject
man, but God, who gives you his holy spirit, all right.
Furthermore, Paul goes into detail about he doesn't need to express or explain anything
about brotherly love because you've all been taught by God how to love each other,
and that y'all do show love. So he's basically saying, Asidonia,
they show love over there. Or Furthermore, Paul goes to detail about making
your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to
work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily
life may win the respect of outsiders, and so that you will not be
dependent on anybody. Interesting, Okay, Furthermore, Paul, it's a details
saying, explain the coming of the Lord, all right, And this when
people call it the rapture, right, But the word term rapture is not
in the Bible at all in the Old or New Testament, you know.
And then really it's um as we read it right here, it doesn't say
rapture, just as what we caught up with him? Um. If anything,
this all goes back to Christ, of course, coming back for us.
He's saying that those who died will be rose again, all right.
So he's saying that those who are dead or Christ will rise first, and
then after that we who are still alive that are left will be caught up
together with him in the clouds to meet the Lord in the error. So
we would built the Lord forever. Therefore a court encourage each other these words.
So it talks about dead in Christ's talking about basically the martyrs and those
who went all out for the gospel. They would be risen up first,
and then those who are still alive during all these states coming on going on
like all them, and time prophecies may fulfill. When all that stuff's going
on the earth, then those who are still alive will be caught up with
the most High with them. Okay. All goes back to Christ's return,
the glorification process and so forth and so forth. So it goes more further
to detail like a revelation, you know. So all in a very powerful
prophetic stuff right there. So you definitely want to live for the Lord,
and you definitely want Christ to come back for you. Okay, you do
not want to be left behind, I'm telling you, man, So let
us keep being firm and serve the Lord forever. Man, and just know
he is coming back, all right. He is coming back. All the
prophets said, the apostle said, the disciples said, he is coming back.
Okay. Soys, remember that trumpet will sound off that trump trumpet.
The archangels they all gonna pull up, okay, so be mindful of that,
all right, the coming of the Lord. All right. So that
is the first that's Alonians chapter four reading. Okay, well, I would
love to do before I read first. That's Alonans chapter five. Is read
the commentary within First Thessalonians four. Okay, so here we go. Today's
Bible reading First Thessalonians chapter four, verses thirteen through eighteen. Recommended reading First
Corinthians chapter fifteen. Also Philippine Philippians chapter one, twenty one through twenty three.
The title of this commentary is Scared to Death. Despite all the personal
fitness trainers, grasping intencinal bypass surgeries, expensive wrinkled creams, and everything else
people used to look young and keep fit, the mortality rate still stands at
one hundred percent. Someone once remarked that our generation would produce the best looking
courses in history. Of course, Christians aren't immune from the desire to live
longer and look better in the process. And while there's nothing wrong with caring
for our bodies, Paul reminds us that death is nothing to fear. Paul
wants to address the concern of the Thessalonian Christians about loved ones who have died
before Christ returns. Of course, behind this worry for others likely stands a
more personal concern, what will happen to me when I die? Paul gets
straight to the point with his encourage and answer. Those who die before Jesus
returns. Those who die before Jesus return will, on that final day rise
from the grave and the company Christ to meet those still alive. Death doesn't
dash our hope in Christ. Indeed, death for Christians marks the transitions and
infinitely, infinitely better life. While Paul sees to calm the fears of his
readers, he also expresses his concern about the effect these anxieties will have on
the other people around him, especially non Christians. Paul reminds us that we
don't need to grieve the deaths of our loved ones or worry about our own
deaths like the rest of men verse thirteen. Paul noticed that Paul doesn't say
that Christians won't grieve. Death is horrible and it separates us from our loved
ones. If we try to pretend that this lass doesn't matter, we wouldn't
be authentic. Paul is that wants us to know that we don't need to
grief like those without hope. Yes, we mourn our loss, but we
also rejoice knowing that one day will be reunited with loved ones who also knew
Christ. Most importantly, Christ will unite us with himself for all eternity.
This truth allows us to ask Paul advice encourage each other with these words verse
eighteen. Things to take away What is your attitude toward death? How do
you grieve? How does your response to death affect other people around you,
especially non Christians believers? How can you find encouragement and even cause for rejoice
in the midst of your grief? Interest in commentary, you know not to
fear death, okay, to not be scared of death and to not have
anxieties over it. We've all experienced losses from our loved ones or friends or
people we've met along the way. But you know, we still have to
live. We have our lives to live, okay, And that's not stuft
to be so worked up over. We all grief and we all mourning,
have different times for all that, but all in all, we got to
make our lives fully symbolize and Christ, make our lives fully represent the things
of God on our way out level meaningful life for God, okay, and
to pass that on the others while we still have this life that we have,
okay, Because in the Bible every it says that everybody's days are numbered,
all right, in the physical matter. So let's make sure we keep
serving Christ with the time, with the time we have right now. Okay,
all right, So that is First Ustalonians chapter four, a commentary reading.
Now let us go to First Usalonians chapter five. All right, first
Esslonis chapter five. Here we go, Now, brothers, about times and
dates, we do not need to write to you, for you know very
well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
While people are saying peace and safety, the structure will come on them
suddenly as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But your brothers are not in darkness, so that they should surprise you like
a thief. You are all sons of light, of the light, and
the sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to
the darkness. So then let us not be like others who are asleep.
But let us be alert and self controlled. For those who sleep sleep at
night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we
belong to the day, let us be self controlled, putting on faith and
love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet for God
did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ. He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep,
we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build
each other up, just as in fact you are doing final instructions. Before
I want to continue, I want to read this in commentary scripture with their
first Asalonius five, God will call us home first, as Salonius chapter four,
verse sixteen, For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a
loud command with the voice of the archangel what the trump and call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first? All right, So let
us continue first that Salonians five, verse twelve. Final instructions. Now we
ask you, brothers to respect those who work hard among you, who are
over you in the Lord, and who admonish you. Hold them in the
highest regard and love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
And we urge you, brothers, who warned those who are idle,
encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone, make sure
that nobody pays back wrong for wrong. Will always try to be kind to
each other, and to everyone else. Be joyful, always pray, continually
give thanks in all circumstances, For this is God's will for you in Christ
Jesus. Do not put out the spirit's fire. Do not quench the Holy
Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything, Test all things,
hold on to the good, avoid every kind of evil. Let us
read this in commentary scripture with them. First that Salonians five. God is
faithful. First that Salonian's chapter five, verse twenty for the one who calls
you is faithful and he will do it. Let us continue first That's alone,
chapter five, verse twenty three, twenty three. May God himself,
the God of Peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit,
soul, embody be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. Brothers,
pray for us. Greet all the brothers with the holy kiss. I
charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Yes, yes,
y'all. That is the book of first Us alone is chapter five reading all
right, very powerful, effective, excellent reading right there. Okay, as
we review First Us Alone, chapter five, Paul goes further to more detail
about the coming of the Lord and he's saying how he's going to come like
a thief in the night. And he's saying, while people are saying peace
and safety, the structure will come on him suddenly as labor pains on a
pregnant woman. They will not escape. So we're seeing that more and more
often. You keep seeing these like New World Order groups or these world leaders
politics, these people with big platforms just trying to talk about peace and safety
and do all these things that's so called help humanity. But worst things come
out of that, all right. So that's prophecy being fulfilled right there.
It's not going to be peace and safety they're giving me all that false hope.
It's going to be wrath and destruction being poured out all four corners.
Okay, So it's gonna be chaos and destruction all throughout the earth, all
right, People gotta understand prophecy. Furthermore, Paul goes into details, just
saying that we are sons of light and sons of the day, so we
are not darkness. We are not to be mixed with darkness or things of
it. Okay. Tell us to be alert, sober, self control,
and to always be putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the
hope of salvation as our helmet. I remember that God did not appoint us
to suffer wrath, but to receive salvage the right Lord Jesus Christ. We
have to always keep that in mind, okay, And that he died for
us so that whether we are awake earstly we may live together with him.
Okay. Therefore, encourage one another and build up each other, just as
you in fact you are doing. And I further Moore Paul gives us find
instructions. He goes further to say that whoever's working hard among you, respect
them and admonish them and what have you, and hold them to the highest
regard of love because of their work. All right. And also to live
in peace with each other. You know, warned those who are idle,
encourage the timid, help the weak. Be patient with everyone, all right.
Be patient with everybody, okay. Make sure to nobody pays back wrong
for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone
else. Be joyful, always prayer, continually give things at all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out
the spirits fire, do not quesh the Holy Spirit, all right, and
do not qush the spirit the spirits telling you something, to show you something.
Just move on and do not downplay it or what have you. What
