and rejoice. So always rejoice, hallelujah. So just be thankful for what

no blemish, no wrinkle. All right, So let's clean it up and
get together out here, and let's just do better for the Lord daily,
help us most people as we can. Okay, yes, yes, y'all.
So in today's message, we're going to continue our Bible reading series.
Okay, we finished off with the Book of Philippians, all right, which
is a very good read. Now we will get into the Book of Colossians,
all right. We will go to the Book of Colossians, and then
we'll close out with the prayer. We'll close out with the priestly bless him
and we'll close out. We're giving all the praise I don't going to the
most High God of Abraham, Risk and Jacob, and praise is the only
be Godson who died for our sins. Amen, halleluis y'all. So here
we go. Before I read Colossians Chapter one, I would like to read
the introduction commentary before it. Okay, So here we go. The author,
the apostle Paul, the audience, the church and Colossi. The date
about a d. Sixty. The setting. Paul, imprisoned in Rome,
writes to the Christians in Colossi to decide to dispel false teachings. Essentials of
Colossians. Picture Paul, the aging apostle, pacing back and forth in an
ancient prison cell, careful not to let the movement of his chains irritate the
guards as he dictates this and other letters. He preaches and teaches. Timothy
Tiacus, Taccus or another scribe writes furiously to keep up as Paul's passion rings
through the prison. Paul prays constantly for the believers in Colossi, even though
he has never personally visited the city, visited the city. He knows there's
struggle as they grapple with false messages that challenge the central importance of Jesus Christ.
Paul feels compelled to write because losing Christ means losing everything. Like many
of Paul's writings, this letter makes us makes up in depth what it lacks
in length. As you read Colossians, realize that the words you can scan
it just a few minutes represent truths that will make a lifetime to grasp and
live out. Ask God to help you make Christ as central in your life
as He is in the profound teaching of this letter. What to look for
in Colossians life is all about Christ. How to pray for other Christians,
glimpses of Christ, divine identity, house rules for church and home, the
value of salty conversations. All right, y'all, So let us go to
a Book of Colossians, Chapter one. Paul an apostle of Christ, Jesus
by the will of God, and Timothy our brother to the holy and faithful
brothers in Christ. At Colossi. Grace and peace to you from God our
Father. There thanksgiving and prayer. We always think God the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of
your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have for all the
saints, the faith in love that spring from the hope that is stored up
for you in heaven, and that you have already heard about the Truth,
the Word of Truth, the Gospel that has come to you all over the
world. This gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been
doing among you since the day you heard it and understand and understood God's grace
and all its truth. You learned it from Ausprefus, our dear fellow servant,
who's a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who has also
told us of your love and the spirit. For this reason, since the
day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking
God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and
understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy
of the Lord and may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every
good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all your
power according to us glorious might, so that you may have great endurance and
patience, joyfully and joyfully given thanks to the Father, who has qualified you
to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light. For
he has rescued us from from the dominion of darkness and brought us to the
kingdom of the Sun. He loves, in whom we have redemption, the
forgiveness of sins, the supremacy of Christ. He is the image of the
Invisible God, the first born over all creation. For by him all things
were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, invincible,
whether thrones or powers, or rulers or authorities, all things were created
by Him and for him. He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together. And he is the head of the body the Church.
He is the beginning and the born from among the dead, so that
everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his
fullness dwell in him and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether
things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood shed
on the cross. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your
minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ's
physical body through death, to present you wholly in His sight, without blemish
and free from accusation, if you continue in your faith, established and firm,
not moved from the hope held out in the Gospel. This is the
gospel that you heard, and that has been a proclaimed to every creature under
heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant, Paul's
labor for the Church. Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you,
and I fill up in my flesh water is still lacking in regard to Christ's
afflictions. For the sake of His body, which is the Church. I
have become as servant by the commission, and God gave me to present to
you the word of God in its fullness, the mystery that has been kept
hidden for ages and generations, but it's now disclosed to the saints. To
them, God has chosen to make known among the gentiles the glorious riches of
this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We
proclaim him, admonishing him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdoms, so
that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end, I labor
struggling with all this with all his energy which so powerfully works in me.
All right. So that's the Book of First Colossians, chapter one reading.
So as we could see from here, as we review it, Paul's ryan
from prison to the people of Colossi. All right. He's just giving them
thanksgivings and prayers and showing love or what have you. And he's also just
discussed in the supremacy of Christ and explaining how Christ is the is the image
of the invisible God. He's the first born of all creation. By him,
all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and
invisible, whether throws or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created
by him and for him. And He is before all things, and in
him all things hold together. So remember God, Dave give his son all
the authority and power of course to judge or what have you. And also
he shut his blood for our sins. So Jesus really puts it all together.
Amen. And he's the beginning in the end. So when he comes
back, that's gonna be that people. Amen. So when Jesus come back,
it's gonna be for real it's gonna be serious man. So yes,
yes, who can endure the day of the Lord? Who can endure?
Amen? So yeah, man, Father's beenness of serious. Okay. Now
it also goes further to detailing Paul's labor for the church. How Paul suffered
and went through a lot for the sake of the Gospel and for Christ,
and to also bear with Christ's afflictions as well, to spread the word of
God, and look reach out to the gentle house and things of that nature,
and to give them hope. Okay. So he ends it with saying
to this Ni labor struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in
me. So these men of the most high, these women are the most
high in the Bible. They were tireless workers. Okay. They dealt with
a lot of labor and affliction throughout their walk with God. Because the things
that they went through for God's glory, for God's word, for obedience,
for spreading the word in the Gospel. They took a lot mentally physically what
have you. But you know, praise the Lord for keeping us, keeping
us here and daring and doing these things. Because it takes a lot of
straight to get all this stuff done ain'ten. So we got to keep laboring
for the Lord people. The workers made, but the labors a few.
So Jesus needs to workers. Jesus need the workers. All right, More
people need to go out there and spread the word. Hallelujah. I right,
y'all. So that is the Book of Colossus chapter one reading. All
right, Now, let us go to the Book of Colossus chapter two.
All right, but Colossus chapter two, here we go. I want you
to know how much I am struggling for you, and for those at Laodicia,
and for all who have not met me personally. My purpose is that
they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may
have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the
mystery of God, namely Christ, and whom are hidden all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you
by fine sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body,
I am present with you in spirit, and delight to see how orderly you
are and how firm your faith in Christ is. I would like to read
this incommentary scripture just within Colossus chapter one verse seventeen. God superintends everything.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Ay
man, just wanted to read that. Now, let us continue to book
a Colossius, Chapter two, verse six, freedom from human regulations through life
with Christ. So, then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continued to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened
in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to
it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on
human tradition and the basic principles of this world, rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form. And
you have been given fullness in Christ, who was the head over every power
and authority. In Him, you were also circumcised in the putting off of
the sinful nature, not with the circumcision done by the hands of men,
but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism,
and raised with him through your faith in the power of God who raised
Him from the dead when you were dead in your sins and in the circumcision
of your sinful nature. God made you alife with Christ. He forgave us
all our sins. Having counseled the written code with its regulations that was against
us and that stood opposed to us, he took it away, nailing it
to the cross, and having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a
public spectacle of them, triumph triumphing them over them by the cross. Therefore,
do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or
with regard to a religious festival, a new moon celebration, or a Sabbath
day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come. The
reality, however, is found in Christ. Do not let anyone who delights
in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such
a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual
mind puffs him up with idle notions. He has lost connection with the Head,
from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and
snows, grows as God causes it to grow. Since you die with Christ
to the bay principles of this world, Why, as though you still belong
to it, do you submit to its rules, do not handle, do
not taste, do not touch. These are all destined to perish with use
because they are based on human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an
appearance of wisdom with their self imposed worshiped, their false humility, and their
harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
Okay, Paul, So that is the Book of Colossians, chapter two
reading. Okay, So, as we reviewed the Book of Colossians chapter two
reading, Paul just goes more further into detail about the labor for the church
and costly working hard and revealing the mystery of God and Christ and the knowledge
and wisdom of the spiritual matters, and its stressing to the people to keep
your firm, keep your faith firm in Christ. As Paul's what really getting
that, and Paul's saying like, don't get so caught with people who like
to make fine sounded arguments and stuff over debating about spiritual matters, because remember,
people in that time prayer were getting caught up with false teachings and human
philosophies. So Paul's just really rejecting those things, debunking those things with the
knowledge of God and knowledge of Christ and what have you. Okay. And
furthermore, Paul goes more to detail about freedom from human regulations through life with
Christ, and how he's just saying how people need to stop having sinful nature
and to really start living better for Christ and to be baptized with Him and
letting Christ live through you, all right, And that even though we were
dead in our sins, God made us a laugh with Christ, that he
forgave us all of our sins. Okay. So Paul goes further to detail,
saying how having canceled a written code with its regulations that was against us
and that still opposed to us, he took it away by nailing it to
the cross, all right. And also he says, and having disarmed the
powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them
by the cross, you know. Furthermore, Paul goes into detail about being
careful with those who have false humility and those who worship angels to squalify for
the prize. So you'll remember, like people worshiped all types of angels,
they didn't worship the creator of them, Okay, they worshiped angels, falling
angels, all types of crazy stuff, okay, remembering them time parents they
were, they were worshiping all types of things, and even till this day,
people worship all types of crazy stuff too, Okay. So furthermore,
Paul goes into detail about such a person, goes into a great detail about
what he has seen in his unspiritual mind, puffs them up with idle notions,
okay, basically saying how people get so caught up in pagan things that
become atheists and all types of stuff that they're not willing to humble the souls
and submit themselves to knowing God the things of God and knowledge of God or
what have you understand the Christ. So Paul goes further to details, saying,
how you know these are all destined to perish with us because they are
based on human commands and teachings, saying such regulations indeed have an appearance of
wisdom with their self imposed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment
of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sexual indulgence. You
know, Paul just saying how people the world try to walk around like they're
so smart and they know everything, but yet they still have issues with sexual
temptations or they can't have that. They're not good with self control, you
know. But yet they're so strict and have so much regulations about other things
when it comes to the knowledge. So Paul's just really going at people who
have puffed up minds, basically atheists or unbelievers or those who worship all types
of things that don't hold no value of a virtue. Okay, So that's
where Paul was getting that in Colossians chapter two. All right, now,
before I go to the Book of Colossians chapter three, I would like to
read the commentary thus within Colossians two. Okay, so here we go today's
Bible reading Colossians chapter two, verses six through fifteen. Recommended reading the Book
of John chapter three, verses three through fifteen, and also the Book of
Galatians chapter three, verses one through four. The tie of this commentary is
a new creation. The first Christians insisted that when we become Christians, a
profound change occurs in our fundamental identity and who we are at the core of
our being, and who we are first and foremost before we are anything else.
In our awareness of ourselves. The first Christians were convinced that in identify
with Jesus death on the cross, something within this dives. They called this
person who died the old man or the old woman, the person we were
before we had a spiritual birth. So this old nature of mine, the
one that was constantly pulling me down and causing me to live in ways I
was a created to live, has died. And no matter how many times
that old nature raises its ugly head and pretends to be alive, it is
dead. And not only did that old person die, but I have been
given a new nature again, Paul writes and colossions, you have been raised
with Christ. I have this new life, This new identity has been given
to me. I have taken on the identity of Christ. Paul continues,
You used to walk in these ways and the life you once live. These
first Christians kept insisting that something so transformational was happening in the lives of followers
of Jesus that they could refer to their old lives as the life we once
lived. It is not that we are perfect now, or that we will
never have to struggle, or that the old person will come back from time
to time. It's that this new way of life involves a constant, conscious
decision to keep dying so the old to the old, so that we can
live in the new. Paul describes it as Christ being in our lives,
Christ being our lives. Paul goes so far as to insist in another letter
that if we are having this new kind of trans this transforming experience with Christ,
of which we are taking on a new identity, we are literally now
a new creation. The issue, then, isn't my being myself up over
all the things I am not doing or the things I am doing poorly.
The issue is my learning who this person is, who God keeps insisting I
already am. Notice these words from the letter to the Philippians. Let us
live up to what we have already attained. There is this person who we
already are in God's eyes, and we are learning to live like it is
true, quote unquote Robel. Things to take away from this commentary, What
does it mean for your old self to die? Why is it why it
is important that you begin to live as a new creation? Does your life
reflect that you have been born again? How can you begin to walk in
newness of life? All right? Y'all become a new creature in Christ,
but born again, new life, new person. The Lord is doing a
new thing. Amen. So every day you should always be striving towards being
a new person, more new every day. Okay, Let the old ways
die. Let the old ways go to old thinking, the old habits,
the old approach of stuff. Let it all die down of Jesus name.
Amen. Yes, yes, all right. So that's the Book of Colossius
chapter two, and the commentary as well. Now let us go to the
Book of Colossius chapter three. All right, Colossians chapter three. Here we
go. Rules for holy living. Since then you have been raised with Christ.
Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right
hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ and God.
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear
with him in glory. Put to death. Therefore, whatever belongs to your
earthly nature sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed,
which is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming. You
used to walk in these ways into life. You once live. But now
you must rid yourselves of all such things as these anger, rage, malice,
slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each
other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices, and
have put on the new self, which is being renewed in the knowledge and
knowledge in the image of its creator. Here there is no here, There
is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, Barbarian Scythian Scythian slaver free.
But Christ is all and is in all. Therefore, as God's chosen
people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other, and forgive whatever grievances
you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And
over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect
unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since, as
members of one body, you recall to peace and be thankful. Let the
Word of Christ do well in you richly, as you teach and admonish one
another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
With gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether
in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him. Rules for Christian households.
Wives, submit to your husbands as it is fitting in the Lord. Husbands.
Love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. Children.
Obey your parents and everything, for this pleases the Lord. M Fathers.
Do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged slaves. Obey your
earthly masters and everything, and do it not only when their eyes on you,
until when their favorite, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the
Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as
working for the Lord, not for men. Since you know that you were
receiving an inheritance from the Lord as a reward, it is the Lord Christ
you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for is wrong.
And there's no favorite toism. Yes, yes, y'all. So that is
the book of Colossus chapter three reading. Okay, all right, So as
a review Colossus chapter three, Paul just goes further to detail about discussing the
rules for Holy living and discussing the rules for households. Okay, Paul's basically
going to detail about having a new life for Christ, to put the old
ways from you. Whatever body used to do, whether it was sexual,
morality, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, malice, filthy language,
slander, rage, whatever, all these old practices, put it away
and being new in Christ, you know, Paul. But basically the story
also describes how Christ is sitting at the right hand of God and how we
should have our mindset on things above and not on earthly things, okay,
And that when Christ also appears, we will also appear with him in glory.
That's the glorification process, okay, when Christ comes back. Okay.
So Paul's just going more further into detail about having renewed in knowledge of God
and Christ as well, and also saying that let there be no division or
what have you. He's saying here that here there is no Greek or Jews,
circumcised or uncircumcised, Barbarian psythean slaver free, but Christ is all and
is an all, all right. And he's also saying that therefore, as
God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, to clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive
each whatever grievances you may have against one another, all right, because we
would call to be a peace, all right. Sing songs to one another,
you know that love to joy, that gladness. That's what we share
towards one another. Okay. No need for beef and negative energy and hate
and jealousy and all. Let's no place for that, all right. Furthermore,
Paul goes into detail about whatever you do word or deed, do it
all the name of the Lord Jesus, and give things to God the Father
through him about it, all right, So always be grateful, thankful and
glad about what you're able to get done throughout the day and what you're able
to service or provide for people a man. Furthermore, Paul goes detail about
how households should be established. Okay, He's basically saying, wives and into
your husbands as it is fitting in the Lord husbands. Love your wives,
and do not be harsh with them. Children. Obey your parents and everything
for this please, as the Lord fathers, do not embitter provoke your children,
or they would be discouraged. Okay, And yes, that's how the
Lord. That's how Paul wanted to explain how the household should be. Okay,
women, you have to submit to your husband. Stop giving your man
a hard time. Support your man. Fellas, love your wives. Man,
stop being harsh with them. No need to be veriably abusive or all
that domestic vice stuff, all that negative enersy energy, man, brothers gotta
stopped doing that stuff. Okay. No more tausi households, No more tausium
places, man, no more broken households. Man, we need to restore
the household. That needs to be restored and fixed. That children obey your
parents and parents. Love your children, do not provoke them. All right,
that's very powerful that Paul talks about the household. Okay, because many
households today are very troubled. Okay. It's a lot of broken households,
a lot of division, a lot of trauma, a lot of bad things,
and a lot of people's homes. Okay, and you know Satan likes
to do Satan likes to attack the home. He likes to attack that,
the nuclear family, the structure. You gotta remember, God is always about
pro creation, marriage, love being fruit from multiplying all those things. So
Satan likes to attack that. He likes to attack the man, he likes
to attack the woman. He likes to attack the children as well. So
you families out there, your household's got to be strong for the Lord.
That's what Paul is basically saying. Many, I gotta be strong with it,
Okay, resist the enemy. Man, do not let the devil in
your household rebuke all that negative stuff out the house. So okay, I
just wanted to explain that and to just talk about that, you know,
because like people don't preach about the household no more. That's not preached no
more. That should always be talked about and stressed daily. Fixing the home,
all right, making sure the wife is good, making sure the husband's
good, making sure the children are good. Man, you know what I
mean for the Lord. So let's always emphasize that part, okay. And
furthermore, Paul just goes on to say that, you know, do all
your work for the Lord and not for men. All right, So when
you do this, don't do it for validation or for approval. You do
it for the Lord. You do it for the Lord's eyes. You do
it for the Lord's sight. You do it for God, okay, And
basically he's saying that anyone who does wrong will be repaid for us wrong.
And there's no favorite toism, all right, so Paul stresses that. All
right, so let us be stronger than point out here in these days that
ran. All right. What I'd love to do is read this in commentary
scripture within Colossus three as well, okay, titled God is Life the book
Colossus, chapter three, verse four. When Christ, who is your life,
appears, then you also appear with him in glory. All right,
glorification process a man. So he is coming back and it will be very
excellent when he comes back. Okay. So that's the biog of Colossus chapter
three reading overall. Now let's go to big of Colossians chapter four. All
right, Colossians chapter four, Here we go, yes, yes, yea,
all right, y'all, Colossians chapter four. Masters, provide your slaves
with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a
master in heaven. Further instructions, devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and
thankful, and pray for us too, that God may open a door for
our message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ. For which I
am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly as I should.

opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of great seasons with the salt,

mature and fully assured. I vouch for him that he is working hard for
you and for those at Leodicia and higher Rapulus. Our dear friend, Luke,
the Doctor and the sun greetings. Give my greetings to the brothers at
Laodicia, and to Nympha Nympha and the church in her house. After this
letter has been read to you, see that it also read in the church
of the Laodicians, and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicia.
Tell our capus see to it that you complete the work you have received in
the Lord. I Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember
my chains. Grace be with you. I'll write y'all. So that is
the Book of Colossians, chapter four reading. All right, As we review
the Book of Colossians chapter four, Paul just gives further instructions on how to
deal with Christ and how to deal with God to being more watchful and thankful,
and we have to devote ourselves to prayers. Okay. Also, he's
also stressing to be careful how you treat outside. It's be careful how you
treat people who are not into the same faith. You stop to always show
hospitality and love no matter what. Don't be harsh and mean and asking disrespectful
towards people. Okay. Furthermore, Paul goes into detail about being wise and
also making the most of every opportunity and let your conversations always be full of
grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
That's a powerful thing, because you know, a lot of times when
we communicate with random people along the way, a lot of a lot of
conversations tend to be counterproductive and not seasoned with salt, not graceful. We're
in the end times, we're in these last days. So the way people
are kind of operating moving around nowadays, people kind of come at you kind
of crazy, kind of wild, say random stuff a lot of times,
like really random outbursts, like really carnal things. So a lot of times
it's hard to continue to convo with someone like that. But you can't deal
with things with peace, love and grace. You can, but you have
to be very patient with people out here. Okay, just because you believe
in the Lord, and you might have grace or something about a down me,
everybody else will. So when you're having conversations with people, you just
gotta be very circumspect about it and watchful because you know, people lose their
people who got temperate issues. People get angry fast, Like a conversation can
go from zero to a hundred real quick, you know what I'm saying.
So just be mindful when you communicate out here, because a lot of crimes
and bad stuff, even violent stuff encounters happened due to miscommunication, misunderstanding,
slick responses. You know, just to take one word or one attitude,
little thinking of Carvo for things to go south man, it really does.
So y'all gotta be careful y'all talking to people out here, like especially if
you're out and about running errands, or you at applauza, you're going to
the store to gas station and you know, the random people just start just
saying anything to you know, like you just gotta be patient with that.
Aimen, God gotta really protect this out here because people are really getting more
violent and tripping out here. You feel me, you know, it's people
are more rude and hostile and angry on edge more than ever. So you
have to be peaceful and calm and patient when you're out and about. Okay.
And furthermore, in to put a Colossians chapter four, Paul just goes
more for them to detail about his final greetings. Okay, he's just saying
his farewells or what have you, and showing love to his brothers and sisters
in the faith, showing love to those who are part of the work,
the work of God and the fellow workers. Okay. So Paul was always
showing love and giving credit and giving justice where it was due. And it's
imparting that we always do that, you know. You always acknowledge and respect
and other person's work in the faith, you know, So Paul was always
doing that. And also yeah, you know, I want to just read
this part right here. It since Colossus chapter four, verse twelve talks about
his friend April for us. He says, April for us, who is
one of you and a servant of Christ, Jesus sends greetings. He is
always wrestling in prayer, that you may stand firm and all the will of
God mature and fully assured. That term always wrestling in prayer that's very powerful
wording wrestling in prayer. That is a prayer warrior right there, wrestling in
prayer. You know, that's that's a nice thing to hear, you know,
because a lot of people, everybody's prayer life is different. Some people
pray calm, some people pray in many different ways. You talk to the
Father how you want to talk to him, a man. There's no political
correctness about a prayer. Of course, Jesus was just talking about how to
pray and stuff and not doing it like the Pharisees and stuff and being all
prissy and fancy about it. But everybody prays differently. Some people could pray
for long periods of time long, some people pray really short brief. But
here Paul said wrestling with prayer. So when you're wrestling with prayer, that
means your prayers are like very strong, very mighty, very just like it
tense, you know, because you have some people like that who were intense
prayer of people, very intense and throughout my lifetime of like fellowship and or
ministry or being around different churches and different cities and states or what have you,
like, people with the most intense prayers, it tend to be like
middle aged people and elders, you know what I mean, Like they have
like the most intense prayers, you know what I mean. Like, So
I just kind of like I like that term wrestling with prayer, wrestling and
prayer for you. You know, that's the type of prayers we need to
send out to each other. We wrestling a prayer for you that you be
firm, you stand firm in the will of God, maturing fully assured.
So yeah, man, And that's Paul writing for a prison man, and
he in the chains writing these letters. Man, I'm telling you, when
you were in this walk, you're doing this man, I'm telling you,
you're gonna go through them battles. Man, You're gonna get ridiculed, mocked,
made fun of, disrespected, beat up, jumped, attacked, might
have to run out somewhere. You go through all that, you might even
get in prison for it. Okay, there's persecution is everywhere all four corners
of the earth. We already know certain churches and certain countries. They're getting
their churches burned down, they getting run out, they're getting prisoned, they
getting thrown in underground camps, all types of crazy stuff for their beliefs.
It hasn't really hit America yet. I think the difference between persecution just as
of right now in America here and other countries. I think in other countries
they really go through the stuff they were going through in the Old and New
Testament. You know what I'm saying, Like they really getting locked up,
beat up out there. They really are getting killed out there, you know
what I'm saying. Mostly here in America, our persecution is like verbal.
It's verbal. It's like back and forth words. You know, like mockery,
or you lose a job position, or you don't get promoted, or
you might lose a certain status over it, or you might get your channel
band or you know, you might get your content pulled down. Like that's
type of persecution, like most American people get. You get your page taken
down, or um, they block your episode, they block your show or
your content and just make up some random community guideline just to say it,
you know, stuff like that. But um, but the stuff that's going
on all four corners the other countries is gonna come here, all right.
So with US America, America's like the last place where in a sense people
can like truly express their opinions or what have you in a certain sense and
a certain way. But in other countries, when you firm on your faith
or what have you, in those tolitarian countries or those really rough, intense
foreign places, um you get, they just they straight up kill you on
the spot for that. They don't even spare you, and they don't even
play like that. They've tort you for the Gospel. They tort you for
your faith in God. They tort you for reading the Bible, They torture
you for going to church fellowship, and like that. Stuff is crazy and
intense. So all throughout Asia, Africa, certain parts of Europe, the
persecution is real, man, okay. And in America when it comes here,
man like fully hardest is I'm telling you, it's gonna be real,
you know, disturbing. So let us be very strong. Okay, this
is no fearmongering. This is just a real prophetic thing. Okay. Jesus
told us that all these things would come to the past, so and the
prophets too. So gotta be strong, people, gotta be strong in the
word, and don't fold, don't bend. Be firm, people, be
firm, and man, be firm in that faith. Do not compromise or
conform at all. All right, do not walk in fear of fear is
not of the most high, but a power of love, and the sound
might always keep that in mind. Name man. All right, y'all.
So I would love to read this commentary that was within Colossius chapter four.
Okay, and it's crazy, it's fine. I just talked about this off
the head dome. And then now the tide of this commentary is the first
martyr Stephen. So martyr, y'all, who we were martyrs? Okay,
so let us go through this momentary, the first murder Stephen. At this
they covered their ears and yelling at the top of their voices. They all
rushed at him, dragged him out of the city, and began to stone
him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young
man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, Lord Jesus
received my spirit. And he fell on his knees and cried out, Lord,
do not hold this in against them. When he had said this,
he fell asleep. The Book of Acts, chapter seven, fifth, verses
fifty seventh through sixty. He didn't feel fear now, when the High Council
had arrested him, his fear had seemed so palpable, palpable he could almost
taste it. The way Stephen figured it, they were going to kill him.
The trial was just a formality to try to assage their own collective conscious
There would be no escape for him. Stephen fell to his knees and tried
with all honesty to unpack the terror in his heart. To his lord,
the spirit of Christ whispered to him, I too have been in a place
like this. We have much in common, my friend, and I will
never leave you. Stephen began weeping now as a different emotion washed over him,
something that felt like gratitude. The guard found him crying when he came
to him to take him before the Council, but the members were amazed at
Stephen's face as he walked in. It was beaming with joy. In response
to his question, and Stephen delivered his death speech with particular particular passion.
He recounted the history of the hardheadedness of the Jews, culminating in the rejection
of Jesus. His friends wept as they listened outside, but the Pharisees,
embarrassed, decided they had to kill this man. It wasn't fear then that
Stephen felt as they led him to the place where they would break his body
with stones. Lord, it will hurt a great deal when the stones fall.
Stephen prayed, and he heard the Lord's distant, distant reply, what
is a few minutes? I will be with you? That idea ran continuously
in his head like a waterfalls. They bound him. Christ's presence comforted him
as the Pharisees led him to the pit and the men began to take off
their outer clothes. It was hot and dusty work, stoning to death a
man as young and healthy as Stephen. What is a few minutes? He
asked himself, as the first large stone snapped his collar bone like a brid
old twig, sending him hurtling onto the dirt. What is a few minutes?
He cried aloud. It was then that he looked up and saw a
young man holding the coats of his overheated executioners. Stephen's eyes locked with Sauls
years later, saw now Paul would remember Stephen's rapture, his face, his
wiry smile, his almost brotherly expression. That memory would help Paul as the
Romans led him away to be murdyrd back to the future. Sometimes God asked
us to take difficult and painful steps for him. What difficult things have you
done because you felt God wanted you to? Stephen's Testimoni, your friend,
a high court sealed his fate. Why is it that some people would rather
kill someone else than listen to the truth. What role did did hope play
in Stephen's story? What steps can you take to become a man who is
full of deep hope in the salvation God has promised? The story continues.
Read about Stephen's life and death in the Book of Acts chapter six, verses
three, all the way through the Book of Acts chapter eight, verse two.
Right, yes, yes, y'all, We're gonna go through painful steps
for the Lord. Physical pain, emotional pain, mental pain. But count
it all joy, because it's for the Lord. Amen. If Jesus died
for our sins and our transgressions and as blood could be shut for him,
I'm pretty sure we could take some blows and bumps and bruises for the Lord.
Amen. I'm pretty sure we could take some standing there for the Gospel.
Amen. Hallelujah. So count it all, Join people and be firm
and strong in this walk. Yes, yes, y'all, yes, yes,
so there you have it, all right. That's the whole reading of
the Book of Collossions. All right, very excellent brief reading. A lot
of these letters and books and the New Testament are pretty brief, short,
but very potent, very effective. Okay, So just four chapters in the
Book of Collossions, very excellent reading. I'm happy to share the Word with
you all amen. Let us take these words and apply to our personal lives
and keep working towards towards God in Christ the Gospels. Keep the work going,
and stay in the faith, to stay in alignment people. Okay.
