steadfast, all right, always be in the word. Stay in that word
and yet, and also make sure you're a doer of the word. Amen.
It's very important to be a doer of the word. Y're all out
right, So let us think the Lord for another day. Let's think the
Lord for getting us through and protecting us as we go in and go out.
Amen. Let's just thank him for food in our belly, clothes on
our back, roof, over our head. All right, we got to
appreciate things better. You know. It's very easy to complain and murmur about
things. But through everything, you gotta worship him. You gotta praise him.
Amen, Through the good, bad and ugly, you got to praise
him, all right. Keep your eyes fixed on him, all right.
You gotta trust in him, y'all? All? All right? So,
yes, yes, greetings family, Shalane, Body of Christ. What's going
on with you all? Thank you all for listening and supporting. I truly
love you all, appreciate you all, praying for you. All right.
We have to uplift one another. We got to encourage one another, and
we gotta stay strong and united for the Lord. All right. So much
going on all four corners of the earth. But let nothing get in between.
Separate our relationships with the Lord. Amen, and let God continue to
pour out his spirit upon this all right. Let us stay in his presence,
let us stay in his word and his will. Yes, yes,
y'all welcome everybody, all people's, all nations, all tribes, all languages,
all tongues, all racist, all faces, all four corners of the
earth. Whether you are there's a light or a gentile, it is all
right. Whether you are chosen or adopted, it is all right. Let
us gather fellowship that praise the Lord. Yes, yes, Let everything that
has breath praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Let everything that he made praise to
praise the Lord. Yes, yes, everything that he made, let it
praise the Lord. Amen. Yes, yes, only he is worthy of
all the glory, and praise nothing and nobody else. All right. Let
us do fatherless business and fatherless will for the rest of our lives until his
son comes back. All right. Let's keep working hard for the Kingdom of
Heaven. Let us keep our hands to the plow. Let us keep our
feet on the enemy's neck. Amen. Our enemies are our footstool. This
whole earth is the most highs footstool. Amen. So yes, yes,
y'all, let's always keep that in mind, to remember that as we go
day by day. And the spiritual warfare in this battle that we're in.
Okay, spiritual warfare is very intense. So you gotta keep on the armor
of God. People, gotta keep on the armor of God. We don't
wrestle against flesh and blood y'all. We're going against princip Palace of the heir
Wikinness of high places. A man, the rulers are all these demonic forces
up there. Man, that's the real battle, all right. Don't need
to beef the people down here and go back and forth and all that,
and that's nonsense, man, all right. We gotta tear it down to
the kingdom of darkness. That's what we gotta tear down. Can't tearn down
each other. There's no rewarding that. It's nothing good come out of that.
All right. Let's let's pick the right fight. Let us, you
know, fight the good fight of faith. Okay, when you focus on
things more important, stop the petty immature stuff and grow up. Okay,
let's mature now, Okay, let's be maturing Christ they man, Yes,
yes, y'all, let's get it all right. So I hope that you'll
ought to bless stand and bless night, all right. Stay preyed up,
people, stay prayed up, call out on his name, Stay in his
presence, all right. All the petitions stays given, his prayers, requests,
make it known to him, the supplications, all of it ain't man,
You need healing, restoration, deliverance, breakthrough, help, some resources,
something, just cry out to the Lord for it. Amen. Yes,
yes, all right. So I today's message, what we're gonna do
is we're gonna continue our Bible reading series. All right, We're gonna pick
up from the Book of Matthew chapter twenty five and onward. All right.
We finished Matthew twenty four last time, and I was a very great read
who was reading Matthew twenty three twenty four and we're at least seventeen through twenty
four. But those chapters of Matthew twenty four, it's very powerful, and
it was kind of interesting because as I read those chapters, it was raining,
like really hard. It was about thunder and everything. So I contact
that as a sign from the Lord. Alright. I wrapped up that message.
Then, so on this one, we're gonna go finish up the Book
of Matthew and then from there we'll close out with the priestly blessing. We'll
close out with prayers, and we'll close out. We'll give them all the
praise on the God to the Most High God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
and praise only be gone something to die for our sentence. Amen.
All right, y'all, So here we go. All right, y'all,
let's get it. Matthew, Chapter twenty five, verse one. The parable
of the ten virgins at that time, the kingdom of heaven will be like
ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five
of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps
but did not take any oil with them. The wives, however, took
oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in
coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight, the
cry rang out, here's the bridegroom come out to meet him. Then all
the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the
wives, give us some of your oil. Our lamps are going out.
No, they replied, there may not be enough for both us and you.
Instead to go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived.
The virgins, who were ready, went in with him to the wedding
banquet, and the door was shut. Later the others also came, Sir,
Sir, they said, opened the door for us, But he replied,
I tell you the truth, I don't know you. Therefore, keep
watch, because you don't know the day or the hour. The parable of
the talents again, it will be like a man going on a journey who
called the service and entrusted his property to them. To one, he gave
five talents of money, to another, two talents, until another one,
until another one talent each according to his ability. Then he went on his
journey. The man who received through five talents went at once, had put
his money to work and gained five more. So also the one with two
talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went
off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money. After
a long time, the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.
The man who had received the five talents brought the other five master.
He said, you're entrusted me with five talents. See I gave fine I
gained five more. His master replied, well done, good and faithful servant.
You have been faithful with a few things I would put you in charge
of many things. Come to share your master's happiness. The man with the
two talents also came master. He said, you entrusted me with two talents,
se I have aimed two more. His master replied, well done,
good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things. I
will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness.
And the man who had received the one talent came master. He said,
I knew that you are a hard man harvest, harvesting where you have
not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was
afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See here is
what belongs to you. His master replied, you wicked, lazy servant.
So you knew that I have harvest. You knew that I harvest where I
have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. Well,
then you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that
when I returned I would have received it back with interest. Take the talent
from him and give it to the one who has ten talents, for everyone
who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever
does not have even what he has, will be taken from him and throw
that worthless outside until the darkness, where they will be weeping and gnashing of
teeth, the sheep and the goats. When the Son of Man comes in
his glory and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne
in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he
will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from
the goats. He will put the sheep on his right hand and the goats
on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right,
Come you, who are blessed by my father. Take your inheritance the kingdom
prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry,
and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me
something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I
needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me.
I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous
will answer Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or thirsty
and give you something to drink. When did we see you a stranger and
invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you. When did we see
you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply,
I tell you the truth. Whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers of mine, you did for me. That he would say
to those on his left apart from me, you who were cursed into the
eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry
and you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave
me nothing to drink. I was a stranger and you did not invite me
in. I needed clothes and you did not clothe me. I was sick
and in prison, and you did not look after me. They also will
answer, Lord, when do we see you hungry or thirsty, or a
stranger, or needing clothes, or sick or in prison, and did not
help you? He will reply, I tell you the truth. Whatever you
did not do for one of the least of these, you you did not
do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the
righteous to eternal life. That's the book of Matthew, chapter twenty five,
reading right there, so heavy, reading right there, ain't men. The
gospel is serious, y'all. Father's business is serious. Okay. So Jesus
hitting the disciples with the ferry, with the parables and letting them know what
it is. All right. I just wanted to put the God's eternal heaven.
The earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Matthew, chapter twenty five, verse thirty five, twenty four, verse thirty
five. Okay. So with the Book of Matthew chapter twenty five review Jesus
using the parable of the Ten Virgins, discussing the foolish virgins and the wise
ones, you know. And the wise ones had their lamping the oil,
the foolish ones didn't, you know. And when they came time for the
wedding for the bridegroom, the foolish were locked out. See that that lamp,
the oils. That's staying on fire for the Lord. That staying and
the works for God until he comes back. You know. Got to keep
your fire and your oil. People, gotta story stay working for the Lord
always and then because when he comes back, he want to want to He
wanted you want him to come back while catch you while working. You don't
want to get caught slipping and lack end and you know, be too late.
And that's what this parable broke down for us, you know. And
it's important man keep that lamps and them oils. People keep it. Stay
on fire for the Lord. Stay on fire for the Lord. Do not
lack, Do not lack, okay. And also the parable of the talents.
You know, just discussing how you give somebody orders to commands and how
they respond to what they do with it will make or break their ending.
You know, everything that God has given us a commanders, we gotta double
that two times what he called us to do. Amen, So do not
be the wicked, lazy servant. Man, be diligent for the Lord.
People, spread that gospel, help out the poor, laid the hands,
cast out the unclean, classed out demons. Do it. Do everything for
the Lord, all right. Put the word of God out there. Man
do his will. Y'all got to do his will, Okay. You gotta
win souls for the Kingdom of Heaven. People, you have to, all
right. And then when the book of Matthew Chopping twenty five discusses more about
the separation of the sheep and the goats. You know how the sheep is
innocent, harmless animal, a gentle, delicate animal. That's how we're described
in that metaphorical sense as animals. And then the goats represent the rebellious,
the wicked, the hard headed and all that. And Jesus is gonna be
in his glory and he's gonna separate the right from the left, the sheeps
from the goats, you know what I mean. And he'll tell us well
done, my servant. You know, when I was sick, you visit
me all these things. But the wicked here gonna say, depart from I
never knew you, wicked, lazy servant. So there's some very powerful words
right there, all right. So the Book of Matthew chapter twenty five something
we definitely got to apply to our lives and reflect on and always remember that
the wicked will go into eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life,
all right. Always put in work for the Lord people always. Okay,
So I would like to do before I get into Matthew chapter twenty six,
I want to read this commentary in between these pages, all right, and
then we'll go from there. So here we go all right, Matthew chapter
twenty four, verses thirty six through fifty one. For the Biber reading commentary
recommended reading the Book of Proverbs chapter eleven, verse thirty, the Book of
Matthew chapter twenty five, verses fourteen through thirty, the Book of John chapter
nine through the Book of John chapter nine, verse four, the Book of
Philippians chapter one, versus twenty through twenty six. All right. The title
of this commentary is called make the most of Today carper DM. The Latin
phrase means seize the day, and it certainly echoes a valid objective. We
do need to seize each day because we don't know whether tomorrow will come or
just how much of this life remains for us. But what if we did
imagine if a clock on the bottom of one foot digitally displayed how many days
remained before we died. Theologian Francis Cheffer put another way, life is like
a clock with no hands, is ticking, but you never know when it's
going to strike midnight. What a sobering thought for those living in the first
century or the twenty first century. Despite all of our advances and safety measures
in both industry and transportation, and all of our progress in the medical field,
life still maintains a measure of unpredictability for us. To day. Accidents
still happen, that people still suffer from strokes and coronary artery disease, often
similarly out of the bloom. Nearly everyone has a story to tell regarding a
friend, family member, or a co worker who has experienced something like this.
The first century disciples ask Jesus, what will be the sign if you're
coming in of the end of age Verse three. In the midst of his
teaching, Jesus replied, keep watch, because you do not know on what
day your Lord will come Verse forty two. In a way, Jesus urges
his followers to seize the day because no one knows when he will return.
But we do know that each of us will come face to face with Jesus
and give an account of how we have lived for him. Each of us,
large measure determines how that encounter will go. Jesus wants us to be
ready no matter when he returns, to be faithful and why servants Verse forty
five. Who are faith Who are the faithful? And why servants? Those
who are ready, those whom the Master finds doing his will when he returns.
Are you ready things to take away? How would your life be different
if you knew you had just a year left to live? A month a
day God gives. God gives each of us gifts with which to serve him.
Can you identify the ways in which God wants you to serve him?
Do you think God sees you as a faithful and why servant? Why?
Or why not? Something to reflect on? All right? Let us apply
that to our lives. Okay, Always make the most of the day.
People always always all right? So that was the commentary in between pages.
Now let us go to the Book of Matthew, chapter twenty six, the
plot against Jesus. When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said
to disciples, as you know, the passovers two days away, and the
son of Man would be handed over to be crucified. Then the chief priest
and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest whose
name was Syphas Sayphus, miss bram with me about miss Pounce's name, Caiaphus
Siaphus, And they plotted to arrest Jesus in some sly way and kill him
but not during the feast, they said, or they may be a right
among the people Jesus anointed at Bethany. While Jesus was in Bethany, in
the home of a man name known as Simon the Leper, a woman came
to him with an alabaster jar, a very expensive perfume, which she poured
on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw
this, they were angry. Why this waste, they asked. This perfume
could have been sold at a high price, and the money given to the
poor. Aware of this, Jesus said to him, why are you bothering
this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you
will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When
she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for
burial. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the
world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.
Judas agrees to betray Jesus. Then one of the twelve, the one called
Judas, a scariot or scariot, went to the chief priest and asked,
what are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you.
So they counted out for him thirty silver coins. From then on, Jesus
watched for an opportunity to hand him over the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Supper.
On the first day of the feast of unleavened Bread, the disciples came
to Jesus to ask, where do you want us to make preparations for you
to eat the Passover. He replied, going to the city to a certain
man and tell him. The teacher says, my pointed time is near.
I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house. So
the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. When evening
came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve. Excuse me,
and while they were eating, he said, I tell you the truth.
One of you will betray me. They were very sad and began to say
to him, one after the other, surely not, I Lord, Jesus
replied, the one who has dipped his hand into the bull with me will
betray me. The son of Man will go just as it is written about
him, but whole to that man who betrays the son of Man. It'll
be better for him if he had not been born. Then Judas, the
one who would betray him, said, surely the Irabbi. Jesus answered,
yes, it is you. While they were eating, Jesus took bread,
gave thanks, and broke it and gave it to his disciple, gave it
to his disciples, saying, take and eat. This is my body.
Then he took the cup, gave thanks, and offered it to them,
saying, drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of
the covenant, which has poured out from many for the forgiveness of sins.
I tell you I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now
on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my father's kingdom.
When they had sung on him, they went out to the Mount of
Olives. Jesus predicts Jesus predicts Peter's denial. Then Jesus told them, this
very night, you will all fall away on me on account of me,
for it is written I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the
flock will be scattered. But after I have risen, I will go ahead
of you in Galilee. Peter replied, even if all fall away on account
of you, I never will I tell you the truth. Jesus answered,
this very night before the rooster krause, you will disown me. Three times,
but Jesus declared, But Peter declared, even if I have to die
with you, I will never disown you. And the other disciples said the
same, thesmayne Gethsamene. Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called
Gethsamine, and he said to them, sit here while I go over there
and pray. He took Peter and the two sons of Zibiiti Zibide along with
him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to
them, my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay
here and keep watch with me. Going a little farther, he fell with
his face to the ground and prayed, my father, if it is possible,
may this cup be taken from me? Yet not as I will,
but as you will. That He returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.
Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour? He asked,
Peter, watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.
The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. He went away a
second time and prayed, my Father, if it is not possible for this
cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.
When he came back, he again found them sleeping because their eyes were
heavy. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third
time, saying the same thing that. He returned to the disciples and said
to them, are you still sleeping and arresting? Looked the hour is near,
and the son of Man is betrayed to the hands of sinners. Rise,
let us go. Here comes my betrayer, Jesus arrested while he was
still speaking Judas, one of the twelve arrived. With him was a large
crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priest and the elders
of the people. Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them, the
one I kiss at the one I kisses. The man arrest him. Going
at once to Jesus, Judas said the greetings, Rabbi, and kissed them.
Jesus replied, friend, do what you came for. Then the men
stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. With that One of jesus companions
reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the High
Priest, cutting off his ear. Put your sword back in its place,
Jesus said to him, For all who draw the sword will die by the
sword. Do you think I cannot call on my father and he will at
once put my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would
the scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way in this way.
At that time, Jesus said to the crowd and my leading a rebellion,
that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me. Every day
I sat in the temple, of course, teaching, and you did not
arrest me. But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets
might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples deserted him, and deserted him and
fled before the Saint Hedren. Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Kaiaphas,
the High Priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had
assembled, but Peter followed him at a distance right up to the court of
the High Priest. He entered and sat down with the guards to see the
outcome. The chief Priest and the whole hedren, we're looking for false evidence
against Jesus so that they could put him to death. But they did not
find any. Though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward and
declared. This fellow said, I am able to destroy the Temple of God
and rebuild it in three days. Then the High Priest stood up and said
to Jesus, are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that
these men are bringing against you? But Jesus remained silent. The High Priest
said to him, I charge you under oath by the Living God. Tell
us if you are the Christ, the Son of God, Yes, it
is as you say. Jesus replied, But I say to all of you,
in the future you will see the son of Man sitting at the right
hand of the Mighty One, at coming on the clouds of heaven. Then
the High Priest tours closed and said, he has spoken blasphemy. Why do
we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard to blasphemy.
What do you think he is worthy of death? They answer, and they
spit in his face and struck him with their fist. Others slapped him and
said, prophecy to prophesied to us, Christ, who hits you, Peter
disowns Jesus. Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant
girl came to him. You also were with Jesus of Galily, she said,
But he denied it before them all. I don't know what you're talking
about, he said. Then he went out to the gateway, where another
girl saw him and said to the people there, this fellow was with Jesus
of Nazareth. He denied it again with an oath, I don't know the
man. After a little while, though, standing there, went up to
Peter and said, surely you are one of them, for your accent gives
you away. Then he began to call down curses on himself, and he
swear to him, I don't know the man. Immediately a rooster crowd that
Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken before the rooster crowds you would disown me
three times, And he went outside and whipped and wept bitterly. Wow.
But Matthew chapter twenty sixth reading right, This always gets heavy, the death
of Christ, right, that laid up the build up to it's so heavy
and devastating, right, But obviously the outcome and the reward of it's just
beautiful. But just the build up, the details, you know, details
matter. It's the details that really gets you, right when you let us
sink in. So this is where it gets real hectic, all right,
the plot against Jesus. This is where prophecy gets fulfilled. And this is
where things take a turn. You know. So they were celebrating the passover,
so this happened during the Passover, Ain't that's something? And then you
know he's just with the disciples eating and drinking, and you know, Judas
agrees to betray him, and it just gets real hectic, man, because
it's like wow, it makes you think, like, well, if Jesus
never sin broke a law commandment and was righteous and he got betrayed, none
of us are excused from that. You get what I'm saying, the same
things that Jesus went through just for to die for our sins, we have
to go through similar things, you know, by doing his father's business,
doing a father's will, and then during persecution mockery, attacks, all types
of stuff. You know, nobody's excused from that. The prophets went through
it. Christ went through it, all of them, Jeremiah, Daniel,
Elijah, they all went through it, you know what I'm saying. And
it just gets crazy. You know that someone who betrays he was never gonna
be just some random stranger around the persons. Always gonna be someone close to
you within your inner circle, you know, So gotta be careful and mindful
of the people we keep around us, what have you. But you know,
things happen on its own accord. You know, as we go further
in the Book of Matthew, chapter twenty six, the woman is annointing Jesus's
feet with her hair and the perfume and everything, and which is a memorable
thing that Jesus brought up. And then you know, Jesus always had to
teach the disciples things, you know, because disciples were always like very doubtful
of very like a knowledge wasn't understanding the things of God. So Jesus always
had that compassionate patience to correct them and rebuke them and reproof them. Will
have you know edification, all right? And then it goes further into the
Lord's Supper, all right, then the first day of the first of the
feast of unloving Bread, and then they're celebrating it to pass Over in the
part that guess to me, mad, it's like Jude did this for just
silver, thirty silver coins. He just for thirty shekels of silver man as
it was crazy, you know, And then Jesus predicts Peter, denying him
three times. You know. Peter's like, nah, man, I'll never
betray you. I'm always going to be down for you. Then when it
came time when come push, come to shove, you know, Jesus was
right, you know what I mean. And you know Peter fold at that
moment was just too that kitch was too hot for him because you saw what
they was about to do to him, and he knew he couldn't he couldn't
bear with that, you know, so he shied away from it, you
know what I mean. Because everybody said they'll do something and they die for
some until they start to see high plays out and they see how people back
out of it. So Jus just told him, like, hey, that
rooster gonna crowd and that's gonna be that, you know what I mean,
but even through that, Jesus still forgave him and still love for him,
and they prophably had to be fulfilled and stuff like. This is why Jesus
was a man of sorrows, because he understood what he had to go through
for our sins. Our transgressions are iniquities, how much it was gonna cost
him. His life is blood being shod, the mockery, the persecution,
all that just for our sins, you know. So we really have to
love the Lord with all of our mind, heart and soul, our strength
and might. We really have to, man, because he endured all this
for us. Bro. You know, his blood cleaned up our mess,
all right, So we got to really live for him. Okay, we
owe him. He already did his part by dying for us. Now we
gotta live for him forever. Amen, So let us pursue that, all
right. And then this goes further in the Book of Matthew chapter twenty six,
where they went up to go pray Hannah. Disciples got tired, you
know, they got sleepy, the eyes were heavy, and Jesus tells them
like, hey, you know you have to watch and pray so that you
will not fall to temptation. He says, the spirit is willing, but
the body is weak. The flesh is weak, all right. So that's
the purpose of praying and being watchful. It keeps you alert, sober and
spiritual warfare, so you're not lacking or tripping or slacking what havever. You
know what I'm saying, gotta stay alert for the Lord. You have to,
man, you gotta stay upright for the Lord. People. I speak
for myself as well, me and you, all of us. We gotta
do better, all right. Jesus always pushed the disciples to do better.
He always pushed them, challenged them to do better. And that's how we
have to be when it comes to things of God. Amen. So then
Jesus gets arrested, he gets portrayed by Judas with the kiss, and it
just plays out, man, it plays out, and he's getting beat up,
he's getting mocked all this stuff. Man, it's just like wow,
you know, you go only imagine how I really played out, Like imagine
being there, you know, and how how bad they did him. You
know. It's one thing to just read it in the word, but to
visualize if like try to think in your mind, like wow, you know,
what I'm saying. So they were mocking him hard, mocking who he
was, mocking who he was for the Lord, and all these different things.
And even through that, Jesus was still prophesizing, you know what I'm
saying. So Matthew twenty six is always a heavy chapter, you know,
reading how Christ died and the build up towards it. It's always heavy to
read, all right. So let's always take that consideration of how we live
our lives. You know, we owe the Lord everything. We owe the
Lord, repentance, baptism, our lives, our faithfulness, our committedness.
We owe him at all man, everything we do for God. Amen.
Let us not do anything just for ourselves anymore. No more selfishness, all
right, because Jesus was very unselfish, very so we have to be unselfish,
ain't man? All right? So that's Matthew Chapter twenty six reading.
Now let us go into the Book of Matthew chapter twenty seven, all right,
the Book of Matthew chapter twenty seven. Here we go, all right,
all right, Matthew chapter twenty seven, Verse one, Judas hangs himself
early in the morning. All the chief priests and the elders of the people
came to the decision to put Jesus to death. They bound him, led
him away, and handed him over to Pilate, the governor. When Judas,
who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized
with remorse and returned at the thirty silverish coins to the chief priests and the
elders. I have sinned, he said, for I have betrayed innocent blood.
What is that to us? They replied, that's your responsibility. So
Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and
hanged himself. The chief priest picked up the coins and said, it is
against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.
So they decided to use the mate to buy the Pottus Field as a
burial place for foreigners. That's why it has been called the field of Blood
to this day. Then what was spoken by Jeremy the prophet was fulfilled.
They took the thirty silver coins and the price set on him by the people
of Israel, and they used them to buy the Pottus Field. As the
lord commanded me, Jesus before Polate. Meanwhile, Jesus stood before the governor,
and the governor asked him, are you the king of the Jews?
Yes, it is as you say, Jesus replied. When he was accused
by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer. Then Polati
asked him, don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you? But
Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge, to the great
amazement of the governor. Excuse me, now, it was the governor's custom
at the feast to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd. At that time,
they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas Barabbas, So when the crowd had
gathered, Polati asked them which one do you want me to release to you,
Barabbas or Jesus, who was called Christ. For he knew it was
out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him. While Polatti was
sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message, don't have
anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal
today in a dream because of him. But the chief priest and the eldest
persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabus and to have Jesus executed. Which or
the two do you want me to release to you? Asked the governor.
Barrebus answered, they answered, what shall I do? Then? With Jesus,
who was called Christ, Polatti asked. They all answered, crucify him?
Why what crime has he committed? Asked Polatti, But they shouted all
the louder, crucify him. When Polatti saw that he was getting nowhere,
but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and wash washed his
hands in from the crowd. I am innocent of this man's blood, he
said, it is your responsibility. All the people answered, let his blood
be on us and on our children. And he released Barabus to them.
But he had Jesus flogged and handed him over to be crucified. The soldiers
mocked Jesus. Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Pratatorium pratorium and gathered
the whole company of soldiers around him. They stripped him and put a scarlet
robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it
on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in
front of him and mocked him. Hale king of the Jews. They said,
they spit on him and took the staff and struck him on the head
again and again. After they had mocked him, they took off the robe
and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify
him the crucifixion. As they were going out, they met a man from
Serene Syene named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. They
came to a place called Gougatha, which means the place of the skull.
There they offered Jesus whining to drink mixed with gaul, but after tasting it,
he refused to drink it. When they had crucified him, they divided
up his clothes by casting lots, and sitting down, they kept watch over
him. There above his head they placed a writ in charge against him.
This is Jesus, the King of the Jews. Two robbers were crucified with
him, one on his right hand and one on his left. Those who
passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, you,
who are going to destroy the temple of building in three days, save yourself.
Come down from the cross if you are the son of God. In
the same way, the chief priest, the teachers of the law, and
the elders mocked him. He saved others, they said, but he can't
save himself. He's the king of Israel. Let them come down now from
the cross, and we will believe in him. He trust in God.
Let God rescue him now if he wants him, For he said, I
am the son of God. In the same way, the robbers who were
crucified with him also heaped insults on him. The death of Jesus. From
the sixth hour until the ninth hour, darkness came over all the land.
About the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Eloi Lama
sabashathani, which means my God, My God, why have you forsaken me?
When when some of those standing there heard this, they said, he's
calling Elijah. Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled
it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to
Jesus to drink. The rest said, now leave him alone, let's see
if Elijah comes to save him. And when Jesus had cried out again in
a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment, the
curtain of the temple was torn into two from top to bottom. The earth
shook and the rock split. The tombs broke open, and the bodies of
many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of
the tombs, and after Jesus resurrection, they went into the Holy City and
appeared to many people. When a centurion and those who were and those with
him who regarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they
were terrified and exclaimed surely he was the son of God. Many women there
watching from a distance, they fought they had followed Jesus from Galilee to care
for his needs. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of
James and Joseus, and the other mother and the mother of Zabette's sons,
the bureal of Jesus. As evening approached, there came a rich man from
Arimathea Arimathea named Joseph, who had himself who had himself become a disciple of
Jesus. Going to Polatti, he asked for jesus body, and Poladi ordered
that it be given to him. Joseph took the body wrapped it in the
clean linen's cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb noon tomb that
he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in from
it to the tomb and went away. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were
sitting dear sitting there opposite the tomb. The guard at the tomb. The
next day, the one after preparation day, the chief priest and the pharisees
went to Polate, Sir. They said, we remember that while he was
still alive, that deceiver said, after three days I will rise again.
So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day.
Otherwise his disciples may come and still the body and tell the people that
he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than
the first. Take a guard. Pilate answered, go make the tomb as
secure as you know how So they went and made the tomb secure by putting
a seal on the stone and posting the guard. M That is the Book
of Matthew, chapter twenty seven. Reading right there, man, man,
man, A lot went down just within that one chapter. Huh so much
so much. You know, this is where you know Judas In Matthew twenty
seven, he talks about Jews how Judas hanged himself. You know, see
Judas had that guilt, that conscious is sunk in that shame, and he
just went off and hanged himself. Man. That's the thing when people are
emotional and driven by flesh and money, when they realize how wrong they are
and that bad conscience hits them, they you know, Juda's just off himself.
You know, it's just crazy basically. You know, he realized how
wrong he was for doing that. He realized those thirty silvers are those thirty
shukeles or silver wasn't worth It wasn't worth it at all. Man. That's
innocent blood right there. But just shows you what people do for anything,
you know what I'm saying. Let me just read this little quick commentary scripture
that was in the between chapters twenty seven. It says, God is the
Mighty One. I say to all of you, in the future, you
will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand the Mighty One and
coming on the clouds of heaven became Matthew, chapter twenty six, verse sixty
four. Okay, so Jesus is just going through it he's dealing with the
governor, deal all these soldiers. He's being mocked, ridiculed, spit on,
attacked, just going through it for our sins and transgrissions, you know,
and they were like, you know, just crucifying, get rid of
him. You know, they had robbers and other criminals, but they just
wanted Jesus to go that bad. That's how evil those people was, you
know, That's how bad it was. And now that the death of Jesus
it gets a bit different because when you read Acts chapter five, verse thirty,
it says he was hanged on a tree. But then when you read
it throughout the Gospels, it talks about the cross and crucifixion, things that
nature. All in all, he still died for our sins, all right,
when you just go to Isaiah fifty six, that sums it up the
best. So let's not be too so much about it and technical about it.
Then did he died for our sins? And that's very important, you
know. So that was Matthew chapter twenty seven. And then you know,
as it goes further, it just talks about how he cried out to the
Lord and how you know, the sun everything got dark and the earth shooking
up, and everything just shifted when he went through with that process, you
know, and everything just changed. Once he died, his spirit gave up
on him and it happened. You know. He died for our sins,
just right there. And then when every when everybody saw how everything shaking up,
that's when they realize, oh, he is the son of God,
you know. So people have that see it to believe in mindset. They
don't. People don't have natural faith and just believe out of it. They
just got to see it first. That's how people are. That's how Scott
for his evil people Pharisees type of people are. You know. So Jesus
died for our sins, man, man, man, man, that's just
something you just got to reflect on, man for real. Before you complain
and get mad about your situation, just remember he died for your sins.
All right. I just want to read another incommentary scripture that was within Matthew
twenty seven. A right, that will read that one after twenty A.
Al right, so there's this commentary right here in between twenty Matthew twenty seven
I want to read that's actually based on twenty eight. So we'll get to
both of those after re matth twenty al right, so olive do now is
read the Book of Matthew, chapter twenty eight. All right, Book of
Matthew, chapter twenty eight, Verse one. Here we go the Resurrection.
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a
violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and,
going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The
guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, do not be afraid, for I know
that you're looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here.
He has risen, just as he has said. Come and see the place
where he still where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples.
He has risen from the dead, and it is going ahead of you into
GALILEI. There you will see him now I have told you so. The
women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran
to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. Greetings, he said.
They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said
to them, do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go
to Galilei. There they will see me the guards report. While the women
were on their way, some of the guards went to the city and report
to the chief priests everything that had happened. When a chief priest had met
with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum
of money, telling them you were to say his disciples came during the night
and stole him away while we were asleep. If this report gets to the
government, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble. So the
soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed, And this story has
been widely circulated among the Jews till this very day. The Great Commission.
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told
them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some
doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and
on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
As Shirley, I am with you always to the very end of the
age. Wow. Wow, wow, that's the Book of Matthew, chapter
twenty eight reading right there. Just a beautiful wrap up right there. You
know what I'm saying. That's just beautiful. And I love the women that
came through for Jesus. I love Mary, Magdalene and Mary, all those
women, Mandy. You know, a good woman goes a long way.
Man. It's very important to have supportive women when you're going through some stuff.
Amen. That's very beautiful to see that. All right, that's very
beautiful man. You know, you know Jesus died and then he comes back
three days later. He's going through that process and he talks to the women,
and the women where they were joyful but scared at the same time.
Hey, you know, that's a very supernatural experience. So that's not the
ordinary, that's not regular. So you're gonna have all them different mixed emotions.
But nonetheless they were. They were glad, and Jesus telling these women,
you know, hurry up and tell disciples to meet me at the mountain
and everything and what have you. So the women did that with joy,
and they told disciples everything, and they all went to that mountain. Then
they all worshiped, and then they all took the Great commission and the orders
from Jesus and talking with him. I just love the Great Commission, you
know. Jesus just tells them like, hey, all authority in heaven and
earth and earth has been given to him. Hey, what did he tell
us to do? Y'all? Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of this On
and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of age.
Beautiful. And you know, this debunks all that stuff them camps be
talking about in the corners, the I U S, the gooc see all
these camps and stuff, these Hebrew camps they always go on and all just
about oh, the twelve tribes and this, this and that. You know,
Jesus told us to go He tells us to make disciples of all nations
and to baptize them, and the Father's son of Holy Spirit. You see
what I'm saying. They said all nations, and you say a few people,
you say, baptize other Israelites. He said, baptize all nations,
disciples of all nations, all four corners of the earth. Y'all. All
right, So let us get out of that prejudice spirit, that spirit of
division, all right. Do not get caught up in that man. The
Kingdom of Heaven is beyond that. Stop being prejudiced and racists or whatever whatever.
That all that energy, no need for that man. The Great Commission
goes above that people. Okay, I'm telling you that's gonna be black,
white, Latino, Asian, all types of looking people's doing this stuff,
bro, all types of people. So don't get hung up on that.
And also goes back to the Book of Joel where the scripture says that the
Lord would put his spirit upon all flesh, and your sons, your daughters
would prophesize. Okay, So let us not get hung up on looks and
stuff, all right. So what I love to do with the wrap up
of Matthew Chapter twenty eight. What I love to do is just read the
commentary, all right, and the commentary scriptures. Okay, So the commentary
scripture is Matthew chapter twenty eight, verses nineteen nineteen through twenty, where God
commission's disciples, therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And Shirley, I
am with you always to the very end of the age. Now, let
us read this commentary from Harry. Okay, let's go through this commentary,
all right. Til of it. Let's see where we go. Today's Bible
reading verses Matthew chapter twenty, verse sixteen through twenty. Recommended reading Psalm eighty
six, the Book of Proverbs chapter fifteen, verse fourteen, and the Book
of Mark chapter sixteen. All right. The title of this commentary is called
One More for Jesus. My father was a minister for over fifty years,
serving mostly in small rural churches. He was a simple preacher, but he
was a man with a mission. His favorite activity was taking teams of volunteers
overseas to build church buildings for small congregations. In his lifetime, Dad built
over one hundred and fifty churches around the world. In nineteen ninety nine,
my father died of cancer in the final week of his life. The disease
kept them awake in a semiconscious state nearly twenty four hours a day. As
he dreamed. He talked out loud about what he was dreaming. Sitting by
his bedside, I learned a lot about my dad by just listening to his
dreams. He relieved one church building project after another. He relived one church
building project after another. One night near the end, while my wife,
my niece, and I were by his side, Dad suddenly became very active
and tried to get us out of bed. Of course, he was too
weak, and my wife insisted he laid back down, but he persisted in
trying to get out of bed. So my wife finally asked, Jimmy,
what are you trying to do? He replied, got to save one more
for Jesus. Got to save one more for Jesus. Got to save one
more for Jesus. He began to repeat that phrase over and over during the
next hour. He said the phrase probably a hundred times got to save one
more for Jesus. As I sat by his bed with two flowing down my
cheeks, I bowed my head to thank God for my dad's faith. At
that moment, Dad reached out and placed his frail hand on my head and
said, as if commissioning me, save one more for Jesus, Save one
more for Jesus. I intend for that to be the stem of the rest
of my life. I invite you to consider it as a focus for your
life too, because nothing will make a greater difference for eternity. If you
want to be used by God, you must care about what God cares about.
What He cares about most is the redemption of the people he made,
He wants has lost children found. Nothing matters more to God the Christ.
The Cross proves that. I pray that you will always be on the lookout
to reach one more for Jesus, so that when you stand before God one
day, you can say mission accomplished. Rick Warren things to take away from
this commentary If you were honest with yourself, what do you care most about,
how does this story impact you, what can you do to begin living
a life? And what you could say mission accomplished? That's the commentary right
there for the Book of Matthew chapter twenty eight reading. That's a very powerful,
beautiful story, y'all. Yes, yes, So that wraps up the
whole Book of Matthew chapter all right, whole Matthew all right. The Book
of Matthew has twenty eight chapters in it, so we are done with that.
In the next episode of our biber Reading series, we will continue to
Biber ray series and get to the Book of Mark, all right. So
I look forward to hearing the Book of Mark and onward. All right.
The Word of God is so powerful and amazing. It's very beautiful to listen,
read and hear it. But it's even more effective and better to do
it, all right, be doers of the word, all right, speak
for myself and anybody listening. Let us be doers of the word. Example
Christ set for let us follow that example. We're to be christ Like,
we're to be immentaries of God, and we're to be christ Like, all
right. The same love that Christ have for all of us to die for
our sins, we have to carry that that type of love as well,
that love for God, that love for our neighbors, the love for all
all right, Let the Lord change your heart to where the Lord you will
even start loving your enemies. You start loving strangers, the poor person.
You have love for it all. No need to have hate or prejudice,
spirits or division or bitterness or soudness or resentment or unforgiveness in your heart.
God cannot use an unforgiven person. Remember that if you don't forgive others,
my Father will forgive you. Never forget that people, All right? That
love man, you know, Paul said, if you could do all those
spiritual things but have no love as useless. The love is what matters.
Love, Love, Love. Remember the Great Commission, y'all, Remember the
Great Commission. Okay, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always
to the very end of the age. Or some beautiful words. That's some
very powerful words to leave with somebody. Amen, It's a very powerful to
lead of earth. See how Christ went through with that. And you noticed
when Christ went through dying for our sins, he didn't run away from it.
He didn't shy away from it. He didn't hide. He took it
like a man. He stood it. He stood full bold, and they
faced it. Took that. He took that persecution, He took that mockery.
He took the embarrassed, He took the shame, the embarrassing, the
guilty. He took our sins, our nig our transgressions. He took all
that. Right. So when we're going through stuff in our life, we
gotta face it. We gotta be bold and strong and courageous. You gotta
be bolder courageous to proclaim that you're the son of God in front of all
those people, in front of all those religious people, all them pre Pharisees,
all them evil people. You proclaimed that you're the son of God.
He did that bold, loud and clear. Amen, gotta be bold people.
He went through it. He or a new house gonna play out.
He didn't shy away from it. He didn't run away from the smoke.
He went right in there and did what he had to do. He did
that fireless business. That's how we have to approach this. Amen. We
got an approach it like that, and these end times, trust me,
we will get persecuted and go through this too. All right, we will
go the same thing Christ and the prophets went through. We're gonna go through
it too. May be a bit different, what have you, but it's
gonna all be the same result for the glory of God, for Father's business,
for the kingdom of Heaven. Amen, y'all gotta stay strong out there,
man. The spiritual warfare is intense. It's intense, y'all. Satan
is attacking children, He's attacking everybody. Man. He's trying to bring as
many souls to Hell with him as he can him and them falling angels and
the devices of evil and these principalities they trying to take down as much people
tell they can fire with them. We need to save these souls. We
need to reach these people. We need to preach to these people. We
need to pray for these people. We need to lay hands on these people.
We need to heal these people, restore these people. And His Son's
name by His power, Holy Spirit. We need all of that, man,
We got to reach out to these people. Man. People need Jesus,
they need God, they need deliverance, they need repentance, they need
all of that. They need everything. They need all of it, all
of it, man. They need to get baptized. That's why every message
I do, I don't care if it's a Bible reading message or a news
roundup or any of church not. It don't matter any topic, biblical or
cardinal. I'm gonna ois start off with make sure you repent, you're baptized.
I'm gonna OI started my message that. I'm gonna end it with that
because people need that. We need it, y'all. We need to get
right with the Lord. Man. Y'all see what's going on all over the
world. Y'all see how crazy and weird this world getting. Man, people
need to repent, y'all. Gotta get it together. Man, need to
need to get to father's business. Man. So just how to get that's
that? Man? All right, come on, y'all, let's let's come
on man, all right, gotta gotta help these people out here. Man,
gotta handle our purpose better. Let nothing be done in vain. Let
everything be done for the glory of God. Let everything be done for the
came of Heaven. It's not a time to think about yourself. There's not
a time to be selfish. Man. It's not a time to be a
narcissist and self pleasing and self serving. You better be serving God out here.
Better be serving the Lord for the rest of your life out here,
y'all better get it man, the spiritual war for its intense. All right.
So there you have it, all right. That's the reading for today,
the Book of Matthew, chapter twenty five versus all way through Matthew twenty
eight. All right, that's an excellent way to close out the Book of
Matthew. It's a reflection like this. He went through this for us,
And what are we doing down here for him? What are we doing in
return? How are we reciprocating the same thing Christ did for us? How
are we reciprocating that? Do our lives reflect what He'd done for us?
Right? Does our life reflect deliverance, healing, restoration, baptism, his
blood? Does our life represent that? Let let's not follow the ways of
the world. Let's not follow the things of the world. It's not then
we gotta get these people. He gotta reach these people. Gotta reach these
people. Man. Gott to spread that gospel, got to baptize these people,
Gotta heal these people, lay their hands, Gotta do all that.
Got to preach that sound doctrine. Got to preach that pure gospel. Man.
These people out here, they're playing with the word. Man, They
mocking God. They playing around with this stuff. Man, and they're gonna
get there is all right. Let us fear the Lord and make sure we're
doing it right. Amen. And the only right way is Christ's way.
Amen. That's the only right way. You know what I mean? Period.
All right, come on, y'all, come on, y'all. Let's
get it, man, Let's get it for the Lord. Man, all
right, all right, come on, y'all, come on. So that's
the message. All right. What I'll love to do is our close out.
Let's give all the praise, honor and glory to the most High God
of Abraham, Magic and Jacob, and praise is the only big God and
Son who died for our sentence. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all,
So here we go, hallelujah. He is the hope for humanity. Yes,
yes, y'all, true hope, blessed the person, trust and the
Lord. Yes. Yes. He is the Adam, the second ad of

for our sins. Praise the Lord, Praise him, Praise him for
the rest of your life. His son is too awesome, boasting the Lord.

readings. Man got to reflect on that. Man just reading, that's just
thinking like man, He did all that for our sins. How we gonna
reciprocate, How we're gonna pay him back with our lives, our commitment,
all right, with the oil and the lamp, I staying on fire for
the Lord, doing his will, doing father's will, father's business. That's
how you pay him back, all right. He gave us his word,
He gave us the examples. He gave us the life to live, live
it, do it. Gave us the power and authority of casting out demons,
casting out the unclean, laying the hands. He gave us the authority
and power to do that in his name, by the blood, by the
power, Amen, by the father's son. He spared to baptize others.
Amen. He gave us the great commission. He gave us all these things.
Let's get to it, man, But it has to apply. People

Amen. So we touched on the green. Man. That's that all right,
Yes, yes, y'all. So I just pray to God that whoever
listens, mess, I pray that you repent, man. I just pray
that you get baptized. Man. I pray that you turn from your way
as you stop backsliding. Man, you get it together. You stay on
that neural path. Man. No more distractions, no more nonsense, no
more immature stuff, man, no more backpellan. We're going forward and upward
forever. Right. Come on, y'all, get out that comfort zone.
Get off them huge man, get off that chair. Stop being on that
sideline, getting that field. Man, get on that court, get on
there, get out there, preach, heal, cast out, baptize somebody.
