<v Speaker 1>Wednesday, November twelve, twenty twenty five. You are listening to
<v Speaker 1>the Daily Dose Sports podcast and I am your host,
<v Speaker 1>Clinton Daily, coming to you from my I see here
<v Speaker 1>in Denver, Colorado, and we are back for another week
<v Speaker 1>of talking sports with a dose of common sense. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Happy Wednesday to you. Hope you had a good weekend.
<v Speaker 1>Hope your week is going well and that you your family,
<v Speaker 1>your friends, everyone is staying strong and staying healthy right now.
<v Speaker 1>And I can't believe how fast this year is going,
<v Speaker 1>because I mean, we are, what a couple of weeks
<v Speaker 1>from Thanksgiving? Where is this going? And I don't know
<v Speaker 1>where you're at, but here in Colorado, look, we're used
<v Speaker 1>to getting some snow by now, not a flake. Haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen one single bit of it, which is insane because
<v Speaker 1>we're almost halfway through the month of November. Haven't seen
<v Speaker 1>any snow whatsoever, And here we are. Don't. Look Now,
<v Speaker 1>college football has a couple of regular season games left
<v Speaker 1>that's gonna be done. And we are now at about
<v Speaker 1>the midway point of the NFL season. Where in the
<v Speaker 1>world is this time going? It is just going so fast.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking of that NFL season, Like I said that twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty five NFL season is about at the mid season point,
<v Speaker 1>and I can't figure out that league. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what's going on in that league, but I know a
<v Speaker 1>few people who might be able to help us out.
<v Speaker 1>Today on the Daily Dose, we are going to be
<v Speaker 1>joined by our esteemed panel of NFL experts to break
<v Speaker 1>down the NFL season now, what we have seen so far,
<v Speaker 1>and what we might expect to see later on this season.
<v Speaker 1>In fact, we have so much to get to we
<v Speaker 1>need to jump over to that right now. Joining us
<v Speaker 1>this week on the Daily Dose, we have our illustrious
<v Speaker 1>panel of NFL experts to let us know kind of
<v Speaker 1>what we've seen so far, what we can still expect
<v Speaker 1>to see this season, and who in the world is
<v Speaker 1>going to end up in Super Bowl sixty this next February.
<v Speaker 1>First up, of course, we have president of the Dale
<v Speaker 1>dis I team that finds the stories no one else
<v Speaker 1>can find. Big Rob was just here last week talking
<v Speaker 1>little college football. But he is back. West Virginia Mountaineer
<v Speaker 1>Philadelphia Eagle fan, Rob, you're back again, and Rob, before
<v Speaker 1>we get into the NFL, your Mountaineers got a big
<v Speaker 1>win over the University of Colorado over the weekend. But
<v Speaker 1>we had been told by Dion Sanders that the time
<v Speaker 1>to get the buffs was in year one because they
<v Speaker 1>were coming. But Rob, it seems like year three is
<v Speaker 1>also a really good time to play them too.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, that works too. A couple of years they're coming.
<v Speaker 1>They're coming. To keep pushing that out, Lady, yehs just
<v Speaker 1>a little way, okay, just making sure because I know
<v Speaker 1>we kept hearing is coming. Now it seems like it's going.
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't quite sure I had the thing quite squared away.
<v Speaker 1>Next up, we have Mike in cass A rock out
<v Speaker 1>on the Colorado Planes. Mike. Currently our Denver Broncos are
<v Speaker 1>sitting on top of the AFC West. Why don't we
<v Speaker 1>feel better?
<v Speaker 3>Fold?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, that's that's a good way to put it. Finally,
<v Speaker 1>we have our wiley, savvy veteran, and do you pioneer
<v Speaker 1>Larry from Centennial Larry? When do those ski slopes open?
<v Speaker 1>And can I go with you during the next Broncos
<v Speaker 1>game because my doctor he doesn't care for what they're
<v Speaker 1>doing to my cardio help right now?
<v Speaker 4>Absolutely, any anytime you want Clinton in my pleasure.
<v Speaker 5>And we're about forty fifty days away.
<v Speaker 1>Oh dear, well, that's like another three or four games
<v Speaker 1>they're getting.
<v Speaker 5>It feels like a lifetime.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it really does. It really does. Having never been
<v Speaker 1>skiing in my entire life, Yeah, it really feels like
<v Speaker 1>a lifetime. As usual, the NFL has been unpredictable, and
<v Speaker 1>many of the teams we expected to dominate have slid back.
<v Speaker 1>A few of the teams we swore we're going to
<v Speaker 1>be terrible that actually kind of looked like contenders. We
<v Speaker 1>have parody at its very finest. But first we do
<v Speaker 1>have to mention former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliboo did pass
<v Speaker 1>away over this past weekend at the age of eighty four.
<v Speaker 1>Taglelyboo brought a ton of growth of the league. He
<v Speaker 1>had an era of peace with the players union. He
<v Speaker 1>did a pretty good job. Maybe not the most memorable guy,
<v Speaker 1>but did a very good job while he was in there. However,
<v Speaker 1>I think one of the big storylines this season has
<v Speaker 1>been that little tweak in the kickoff rules, basically meaning
<v Speaker 1>every team starts at their own thirty yard line every
<v Speaker 1>single time. That means you gain like no twenty thirty yards,
<v Speaker 1>you're in field goal range, and we are seeing kickers
<v Speaker 1>boom the ball. We have now had nearly one hundred
<v Speaker 1>field goals over fifty yards. It's unreal. We had one
<v Speaker 1>almost at seventy yards. Scoring is up. I'm not sure
<v Speaker 1>if it's good. I'm not sure if it's bad. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I guess we'll say it's a it's a good thing, Mike.
<v Speaker 1>Is the scoring being up a good thing in the NFL?
<v Speaker 1>Is this new method? Is it working?
<v Speaker 3>I think it's good. I think it envelops more a
<v Speaker 3>broader fan base, right, you know, the excitement of scoring
<v Speaker 3>and high scoring games. It's not too many people enjoy
<v Speaker 3>a defensive a true defensive struggle, or a defensive minded game.
<v Speaker 3>So I think the scoring being up is a positive overall. Rob.
<v Speaker 1>Do you like the up ticket scoring? Do you like
<v Speaker 1>this new kickoff rule? Or are you a positive? Is
<v Speaker 1>this a positive?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? No, I agree. I think it is a positive.
<v Speaker 2>You know, more scoring, more excitement for the betters out
<v Speaker 2>there who would do that. For the gambling aspect, higher
<v Speaker 2>scores are always good. But I will say now that
<v Speaker 2>they will say they got that corrected. They need to
<v Speaker 2>do something about the on side kick.
<v Speaker 1>The on side kick is a bit of a problem.
<v Speaker 1>There's a few things they need to do, some things
<v Speaker 1>about Larry. I'm not a fan of the idea that
<v Speaker 1>every offensive line just gets to stand up before the
<v Speaker 1>balls even snap. Is it just me or our officials
<v Speaker 1>just looking the other way are returning this into NBA traveling?
<v Speaker 1>What's going on with these fall starts too? I don't
<v Speaker 1>like it?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I don't know. It is super confusing, I think
<v Speaker 5>for the viewer for sure.
<v Speaker 4>I mean when you see, like if they call a
<v Speaker 4>false start, you couldn't you know half the time, I
<v Speaker 4>don't know when it was, yeah, because all the movement
<v Speaker 4>on the on the line, So I don't really know.
<v Speaker 4>I do think they have to look at that. As
<v Speaker 4>far as the kickoff goes, though, I got to be honest,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know that anybody knows like scoring's up right
<v Speaker 4>if if it's because of field goals, well, nobody keeps
<v Speaker 4>track of that. I guess you really have to screw
<v Speaker 4>things up.
<v Speaker 5>Not to be in field goal range if you have a.
<v Speaker 4>Decent offense, you know, and you play the ball right
<v Speaker 4>from the kickoff.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well, here in Denver, we're more than capable. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we had met back in August. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>we all got together except for Mike. I want everyone
<v Speaker 1>to keep that in mind. Mike was unable. Mike had
<v Speaker 1>some things. He had his easy top beard at the time,
<v Speaker 1>and he was unable to make it because he was
<v Speaker 1>shaving it off. But right now, I want everyone to
<v Speaker 1>take a look back at what you picked back in August,
<v Speaker 1>and if you and you get a chance right now,
<v Speaker 1>you can brag on what you got. Right now, Mike,
<v Speaker 1>we're just gonna have what is honor among thieves. Mike,
<v Speaker 1>you've got to tell us what you expected to happen,
<v Speaker 1>even though we don't have any proof of what He's
<v Speaker 1>gonna say here, and you're gonna tell us, Hey, I
<v Speaker 1>nailed it. I totally nailed it. What'd you get right
<v Speaker 1>going into season? What did you have? Right?
<v Speaker 4>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>I uh?
<v Speaker 3>And this wasn't a stretch of the imagination. And I
<v Speaker 3>don't think anybody's gonna doubt me. But the Jets and
<v Speaker 3>Saints battling for the number one overall pick.
<v Speaker 1>Uh, Yeah, they're not very good. Yeah, you definitely nailed that.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. With the off season acquisitions, I was maybe not
<v Speaker 3>to this extent, but I was thinking that lovable Denver
<v Speaker 3>defense was going to take a step up. They've really
<v Speaker 3>really improved on that. I mean, they're they're on pace
<v Speaker 3>to break the all time sack record. You know, there's
<v Speaker 3>a few things here and there that that that you
<v Speaker 3>don't think halfway into the season is tough to say, right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I think that. I think thatone's going to be, you know,
<v Speaker 3>leading the division halfway. No, I think it will be
<v Speaker 3>at the end.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see, we'll see. We're going to keep Mike honest,
<v Speaker 1>he he nailed a couple there, Rob What do you
<v Speaker 1>look back and say that you that you nailed from
<v Speaker 1>our season preview? What'd you get right?
<v Speaker 3>For me?
<v Speaker 2>It was the NFC East. I wanted to pick against
<v Speaker 2>the Eagles because nobody ever repeats in that division, but
<v Speaker 2>I couldn't do it. I thought the Cowboys defense would
<v Speaker 2>be bad. I thought the Commanders would take a step back,
<v Speaker 2>and then the Giants would be terrible, and that's how
<v Speaker 2>it yelled out. So that's the one for me. NFC
<v Speaker 2>East and the.
<v Speaker 1>You're exactly right, Larry, what about you? What'd you get right?
<v Speaker 5>Well?
<v Speaker 4>I got a couple of things right, but mostly I
<v Speaker 4>think you know, Green Bay, I think, and it wasn't
<v Speaker 4>a stretch. I didn't go out on a limb on
<v Speaker 4>anything here. I'm kind of picking the things that are
<v Speaker 4>working right for me, right, I tell you what I
<v Speaker 4>got right, Green Bay and the Rams. I think I
<v Speaker 4>had them high on my list. Green Bay still has
<v Speaker 4>something to prove, but I think but just by watching
<v Speaker 4>the Rams, man, they just looked really good. I don't
<v Speaker 4>know they've dropped games too, but man, when they're on,
<v Speaker 4>they're on.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah they are. I picked a couple of teams.
<v Speaker 1>I picked Tampa to be the class of the NFC South.
<v Speaker 1>It's kind of like it's kind of like being the
<v Speaker 1>most ethical senator. I don't know, but they're on top
<v Speaker 1>of the NFC South for now, and I thought Washington
<v Speaker 1>would take a step back. So I'm gonna go ahead
<v Speaker 1>and take victory lap on that because everything broke their
<v Speaker 1>way last year and you just kind of felt like
<v Speaker 1>it couldn't happen again. All right, Mike, you weren't here,
<v Speaker 1>but was there something that just shocked you that you
<v Speaker 1>were Like, I missed that. I wouldn't have got that pick, right,
<v Speaker 1>What did you miss?
<v Speaker 3>I thought against you know, being a homer here. I
<v Speaker 3>thought bon Nicks and the Denver offense was going to
<v Speaker 3>take a step forward, and it has been in a
<v Speaker 3>complete about face.
<v Speaker 2>It is.
<v Speaker 3>It looks he looks like a rookie. His footwork's terrible.
<v Speaker 3>I really thought with a good offseason going into a
<v Speaker 3>second year, he was going to show signs of improvement
<v Speaker 3>and he's not even close.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah he is. He's struggling as of recently. Rob what
<v Speaker 1>about you? What'd you miss? What'd you get wrong?
<v Speaker 2>For me? It was the Falcons. I had them winning
<v Speaker 2>the division. I was all in on them and even
<v Speaker 2>watching them the first half of the season. I feel
<v Speaker 2>like the talent's there, but for whatever reason, you put
<v Speaker 2>it together. So, yeah, that was a miss for me.
<v Speaker 2>The Falcons.
<v Speaker 1>They've got talent, they're not doing a whole lot with it. Larry,
<v Speaker 1>what about you? Did you have anything that you just
<v Speaker 1>missed that you want to say?
<v Speaker 2>Oops?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah? I had the Falcons too, But Washington, you know,
<v Speaker 4>they're just and I get it, you know a lot
<v Speaker 4>of the things I ended up getting wrong are because
<v Speaker 4>of injury, right, But yeah, I thought Washington was going
<v Speaker 4>to play a lot better than they've been shown.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you know I thought that. I didn't think either
<v Speaker 1>one of these teams was going to be a super
<v Speaker 1>Bowl contender. But I thought the Raiders would show at
<v Speaker 1>least some improvement under Pete Carroll. They've been awful, and
<v Speaker 1>I thought the Arizona Cardinals would at least compete. They've
<v Speaker 1>been worse. I can't believe it, but the Arizona Cardinals
<v Speaker 1>are absolutely horrible, and I thought they at least be respectable,
<v Speaker 1>no respect whatsoever, So I missed that. All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>jump in to our division recaps. We're kind of kind
<v Speaker 1>of look at each division at the midway point and
<v Speaker 1>see if we can't make sense of these. We start
<v Speaker 1>off in the AFC East, where we all expected the
<v Speaker 1>Buffalo Bills to dominate and maybe the New England Patriots
<v Speaker 1>could vy for a playoff berth. Well, that hasn't really
<v Speaker 1>been the case. The Bills have got a number of obstacles.
<v Speaker 1>Their offensive weapons are on quarterback Josh Allen aren't great.
<v Speaker 1>The defensive front is being pushed around. The Patriots, meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>are on top Mike been New England Patriots are looking
<v Speaker 1>more and more like the class of the division, that
<v Speaker 1>might even be the class of the AFC. Did owner
<v Speaker 1>Robert Kraft find another soul to sell to the devil?
<v Speaker 3>I don't know where and when you're a billionaire, I
<v Speaker 3>guess the rules don't apply, right, So it's it's very possible.
<v Speaker 3>May is looking like the class of last year's NFL
<v Speaker 3>quarterback draft class so far as completion percentages out of
<v Speaker 3>this world for a sophomore quarterback. The coaching move was
<v Speaker 3>the right move.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 3>The defense is excellent. Boy, that's that was one of
<v Speaker 3>my big surprises that they're doing so much better so soon.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've been very surprised by the Patriots. I thought
<v Speaker 1>they would be good. I didn't think they'd be that good.
<v Speaker 1>But I also didn't expect the Bills to be as
<v Speaker 1>bad as they've been, and they're not horrible. They're still
<v Speaker 1>gonna make a push for a playoff spot. But man,
<v Speaker 1>I'm starting to get concerned about the Bills. Anybody on
<v Speaker 1>the panel have anyone other than those two teams with
<v Speaker 1>a shot at the playoffs? No, it's those two or busts, right,
<v Speaker 1>because those other two teams are just hot, flaming garbage.
<v Speaker 1>Who's got Patriots winning that division? I'm gonna switch that up,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm gonna I'm gonna make the Patriots my my
<v Speaker 1>divisional winner. There anybody else I do. Now, Yeah, anybody
<v Speaker 1>got the Bills getting in. I've got the Bills as
<v Speaker 1>a wildcard. Yes, Bill's wildcard.
<v Speaker 5>I've still got the Bills winning the division. Okay, I'll
<v Speaker 5>do that, but I do I have.
<v Speaker 4>To put the Patriots in as a wildcard and swap out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Rob, what about you?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm going to reverse it from a preseason I
<v Speaker 2>had the Bills winning it, and I had the Pats
<v Speaker 2>sneaking in as a wildcard. And now I got the
<v Speaker 2>power the Pats as the division winner, and I have
<v Speaker 2>the Bills making it as a wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>All Right, I've got exactly the same thing. I think
<v Speaker 1>that division is the two team race, and it's going
<v Speaker 1>to be interesting to see how it ends up. The
<v Speaker 1>NFC East was also expected to be a two team race,
<v Speaker 1>but the Philadelphia Eagles are on top and they're just
<v Speaker 1>running away with it. The Washington Commanders are stumbling, The
<v Speaker 1>Dallas Cowboys are awful. The New York Jets are worse.
<v Speaker 1>They were feisty for a few weeks, but that has
<v Speaker 1>gone south. Rob, Is there any chance that Philadelphia Eagles
<v Speaker 1>head coach Nick Sirianni can screw this up? Because the
<v Speaker 1>rest of the division looks horrible.
<v Speaker 2>N that's just because they're too far ahead. Now, Yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we got a cushion, so so we'll be okay.
<v Speaker 1>Anybody else coming out of this division, I've got Philly
<v Speaker 1>and Philly only. Anybody else got anything different? Nope, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's just really right. Okay, let's jump forward to the
<v Speaker 1>AFC North. We expected it to be one of the
<v Speaker 1>best divisions in the NFL. That has not been the case.
<v Speaker 1>The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently on top of the division,
<v Speaker 1>but it feels kind of precarious because they're not a
<v Speaker 1>great football team. But the Cincinnati Bengals last year, Burrow,
<v Speaker 1>they don't have a defense. The Baltimore Ravens have been awful,
<v Speaker 1>but they're getting better. The Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Browns, Larry,
<v Speaker 1>I know the Steelers are currently on top of the division,
<v Speaker 1>but could a team like the Ravens catch them and
<v Speaker 1>pass them on?
<v Speaker 5>And they will?
<v Speaker 4>You know, I think I think Baltimore's too good all around,
<v Speaker 4>and that division still is not very good. Regardless of
<v Speaker 4>what Pittsburgh's record is. I think they'll fall off at
<v Speaker 4>the end of the year. So Baltimore's gonna win that division.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, of anyone else get in. No, see, I'm the same.
<v Speaker 1>I've got Baltimore passing them and I've got them taking
<v Speaker 1>the division. Mike, same, Yeah, same, I think.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, how many years in the last decade has
<v Speaker 3>Pittsburgh started off hot and then just crap the bed
<v Speaker 3>in the second half of the season. Yep, I don't know.
<v Speaker 3>I just and that may not be the exactly what happens,
<v Speaker 3>but there's I think there's too many other good teams
<v Speaker 3>in the AFC that are going to squeeze them out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I do too, Rob, What about you? How do
<v Speaker 1>you see this AFC nor shaping up?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I got it the same. Ravens are healthy now,
<v Speaker 2>so they make a comeback here When the division at
<v Speaker 2>ten and seven, Steelers finished nine and eight, But those
<v Speaker 2>nine wins, it's not gonna be enough for a wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>Interesting the we're gonna see a flip. Yeah, I've got
<v Speaker 1>to Steelers now out and I had them scraping in
<v Speaker 1>when we did our preview. But I'm not liking the
<v Speaker 1>way that team is playing, not liking the way they're
<v Speaker 1>put together. Let's move forward to the NFC North, which
<v Speaker 1>is highly competitive. The Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions and
<v Speaker 1>Chicago Bears are all within a half game of each other.
<v Speaker 1>The Minnesota Vikings are just another game back, Mike. The
<v Speaker 1>NFC North is highly competitive, So why am I a
<v Speaker 1>little disappointed in every single one of those teams?
<v Speaker 3>Maybe because because they're losing games they shouldn't lose, right,
<v Speaker 3>that's every team this year?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're right.
<v Speaker 3>Every single team has lost a game they really shouldn't
<v Speaker 3>have lost, right except for a Broncos who've won games
<v Speaker 3>well anyway, Yeah, I mean the season by the Lions,
<v Speaker 3>they got twitched, just boat raced. Yeah, and then they
<v Speaker 3>went on a run, and now they've stumbled a couple
<v Speaker 3>of times. It's you can't figure them out. Green Bay,
<v Speaker 3>who are they? I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's a weird division. Minnesota's bringing up the rear,
<v Speaker 3>but they may finish close to five hundreds.
<v Speaker 1>So sure, who do you have coming out of that
<v Speaker 1>division right now?
<v Speaker 2>Mike?
<v Speaker 3>I have Detroit taking it in Green Bay as a wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Larry, what about you? Yeah, Larry, how do you
<v Speaker 1>see the NFC North finished up?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah? I have I have Detroit winning it, and I
<v Speaker 4>still have Green Bay as a wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna ye, all right, Rob, what about you?
<v Speaker 2>Same here? The Lions win it all and Packers sneak
<v Speaker 2>in as the last wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay, I'm gonna go Packers winning the division and
<v Speaker 1>the Lions sneaking in as a wildcard because I don't
<v Speaker 1>trust that defense. Although at this point I don't trust
<v Speaker 1>any of those teams. The NFC North is wild and
<v Speaker 1>I can't figure it out. I wouldn't be shocked one
<v Speaker 1>bit to see Chicago come through and knock a team out,
<v Speaker 1>because they're just goofy enough to do that. And they
<v Speaker 1>won another game today that I'm not really sure how
<v Speaker 1>they won, but they did. We moved forward to the
<v Speaker 1>AFC South and we all expected the Houston Texans to
<v Speaker 1>just run away with his awful division. Again, well, one
<v Speaker 1>team is running away with his division. It just isn't them.
<v Speaker 1>The Indianapolis Colts have been the surprise of the league.
<v Speaker 1>They're eight and two. Running Back Jonathan Taylor should be
<v Speaker 1>an MVP candidate. Quarterback Daniel Jones has been very good. Next,
<v Speaker 1>we have the Jacksonville Jaguars. I'm not sure they're flaky.
<v Speaker 1>They can win, they have some talent, but I don't
<v Speaker 1>always trust them. The Texans are struggling, and the Titans
<v Speaker 1>might be picking first again in the NFL Draft. We
<v Speaker 1>will see, But Rob, how much faith should anyone have
<v Speaker 1>in the Colts and in Daniel Jones?
<v Speaker 2>You can trust them during the regular season. This feels
<v Speaker 2>like last year's Vikings to me. Yep, dominate and then
<v Speaker 2>once they hit the playoffs they get in trouble. But
<v Speaker 2>I got the Colts win in the division. If at
<v Speaker 2>the Jags finish up at ten and seven, But this
<v Speaker 2>is gonna be my last team out. They're right there
<v Speaker 2>the schedule, they kind of limped to it, but that's
<v Speaker 2>my last team out. So I just have the Colts
<v Speaker 2>winning the division.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Larry, what about you? How are you seeing the
<v Speaker 1>SAFC South go?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I this might be a surprise, but I had
<v Speaker 5>to change things.
<v Speaker 1>Uh okay, what no way?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>For sure Indy winning the division and my earlier pick.
<v Speaker 4>If Jacksonville went in the division, I don't have them
<v Speaker 4>in the playoffs.
<v Speaker 1>Jacksonville is our only team getting in, is the Colts?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Mike, what about you?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah? I think like most people, I had Houston win
<v Speaker 3>the division. Sure, I just thought it was going to
<v Speaker 3>be kind of like the NFC South, you know, by default,
<v Speaker 3>just because the other teams are so bad. But boy,
<v Speaker 3>Andy is impressive. They currently lead the league in point differential,
<v Speaker 3>So it's not just the Daniel Jones show the defense
<v Speaker 3>playing very well. They win that division going away, and
<v Speaker 3>they're the only only team to make the playoffs.
<v Speaker 1>And all right, I'm going to put the Colts in
<v Speaker 1>his division winner. I'm going to have the Jags scrape
<v Speaker 1>their way into a wild card, and I'm gonna just
<v Speaker 1>feel sick about even doing that moving forward. The NFC
<v Speaker 1>South is maybe the worst division in the NFL. It's
<v Speaker 1>definitely the flakiest. Currently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on
<v Speaker 1>top of the six and three record. Bizarrely, the Carolina
<v Speaker 1>Panthers are just like a game and a half back.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what's going on there. The Atlanta Falcons
<v Speaker 1>are bipolar, and the New Orleans Saints are awful? Larry,
<v Speaker 1>do we trust anyone in this terrible division?
<v Speaker 5>No?
<v Speaker 4>But what do they say, Somebody's got to win it, right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>So I'm going with Tampa Bay. I had Atlanta and
<v Speaker 4>I no longer have Atlanta, and so I'm only picking
<v Speaker 4>Tampa Bay to come out of this division as the winner.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, I'm doing the same thing, Rod Boy, about you.
<v Speaker 2>Same for me. Just the Bucks, and I think they
<v Speaker 2>get healthier too. They've had a lot of injuries, so
<v Speaker 2>I think they get on a somewhat hot streak down
<v Speaker 2>the stretch. But yeah, just the Bucks from this division.
<v Speaker 1>I could totally see that. Mike. How are you looking
<v Speaker 1>at this NFC.
<v Speaker 3>South Yeah, you know, keep it simple, stupid, right. I
<v Speaker 3>think it's going to be the same Tampa Bay. I'm surprised.
<v Speaker 3>I did not have Carolina improving this much. Oh they may,
<v Speaker 3>you know, ten and seven, maybe nine and eight, something
<v Speaker 3>like that, but I don't have them high enough for
<v Speaker 3>a wild card.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, yeah, I've got it. About to say. I think
<v Speaker 1>Tampa's just going to kind of walk away with this
<v Speaker 1>terrible division because there's just no competition and they don't have,
<v Speaker 1>you know, tough enough schedule. We now reach the AFC West,
<v Speaker 1>a division very near and dear to well three of
<v Speaker 1>our hearts. Hey, this division has now been won nine
<v Speaker 1>times in a row by the Kansas City Chiefs, But
<v Speaker 1>right now the Chiefs are in third place behind the
<v Speaker 1>Denver Broncos. And the Los Angeles Chargers. Mike, is there
<v Speaker 1>any way that the NFL can orchestrate away for the
<v Speaker 1>Chiefs to overtake those two teams and win the tenth
<v Speaker 1>division title in a row.
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, it can absolutely happen. I like Harbaugh, but I
<v Speaker 3>don't see how they can. As good as you know,
<v Speaker 3>justin Herbert is that offensive line is decimated. Yea, he
<v Speaker 3>is taking so many hits. I just don't see him,
<v Speaker 3>you know, continuing along the path they are, they may
<v Speaker 3>stumble a little bit. Denver schedule becomes real here coming
<v Speaker 3>up here shortly, you know, I next week's game literally
<v Speaker 3>in week eleven maybe for the division. You know, it
<v Speaker 3>could send Denver Denver into a spiral. If Denver somehow
<v Speaker 3>picks it up. It's a huge lead on Kansas City.
<v Speaker 3>So I actually have Kansas City winning the division with
<v Speaker 3>Denver and the Chargers as the wild card.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Wow, You've got this thing jumbling up quite a bit. Then, Larry,
<v Speaker 1>what about you? How are you seeing the SAFC West?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah? I have to go a little bit away from
<v Speaker 4>what Mike just said.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, the schedule gets tough with Kansas City coming up
<v Speaker 4>next week. But after that, you've got some teams that are,
<v Speaker 4>you know, not great, So I don't. I didn't have
<v Speaker 4>the Broncos winning the division. I do now based on
<v Speaker 4>the record and the rest of the schedule. So and
<v Speaker 4>I've got the Chargers and Kansas City making the playoffs too.
<v Speaker 1>So okay, it's coming out.
<v Speaker 5>Of the West.
<v Speaker 1>You've got three of them getting in. All right, Rob,
<v Speaker 1>finish this up again once again, you're the only one
<v Speaker 1>objective here. How is the AFC West going to play out?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I got three and as well. I think the Broncos.
<v Speaker 2>They got a big enough lead, so that's my division winner.
<v Speaker 2>Chiefs get hot, make a run, but not enough. They
<v Speaker 2>get in as a wildcard and came down to the
<v Speaker 2>Chargers and the Jacks. For me, I think the Chargers
<v Speaker 2>lent to the finish and they get in as well
<v Speaker 2>as the as my last wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I have got Broncos winning the division. Like you said,
<v Speaker 1>the lead is just too much, and I've got the
<v Speaker 1>Chiefs getting in a wild card. I feel look at Chargers,
<v Speaker 1>that offensive line is a problem, and god forbid, justin
<v Speaker 1>Herbert get hurt because it's gonna go south real quick
<v Speaker 1>if he does that's gonna get real, real ugly. Plus
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna change, you know, the running game, and that
<v Speaker 1>running game has at least been solid. If Herbert's not
<v Speaker 1>in there, it ain't gonna be solid anymore because you're
<v Speaker 1>gonna be able to stack the box. So I've only
<v Speaker 1>got two coming out of the AFC West. We finish
<v Speaker 1>up with the NFC West that hey, it might be
<v Speaker 1>better than expected. We've got the Seattle Seahawks, the Los
<v Speaker 1>Angeles Rams, and the San Francisco forty nine Ers all
<v Speaker 1>battling for a playoff berth. And then we have the
<v Speaker 1>Arizona Cardinals. What do you even say about the Arizona Cardinals?
<v Speaker 1>Is suppressing every single year? Rob, At what point will
<v Speaker 1>Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold turned back into a pumpkin?
<v Speaker 2>It's just like the Colts. We'll be fine for the
<v Speaker 2>regular season, Okay, playoffs is when they get into trouble.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I got the Rams went in the division,
<v Speaker 2>who have the Seahawks in as a wild card, and
<v Speaker 2>also have the forty nine Ers limping in who is
<v Speaker 2>a wild card as well.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, well I've got the exact same thing. I've got Seahawks, Rams,
<v Speaker 1>and Niners getting in Seahawks leading and getting the division. Mike,
<v Speaker 1>how do you see this NFC West?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, same boy, we seem to like the Western divisions
<v Speaker 3>of the conferences. Three teams as well. I've got the
<v Speaker 3>Rams taking the division, Seattle is the next wildcard, and
<v Speaker 3>then San Francisco's squeaking in.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Larry finished this off. How's this NFC? What's gonna
<v Speaker 1>play out?
<v Speaker 5>I've only got two teams.
<v Speaker 4>Obviously, Seattle has been a great surprise, and I guess
<v Speaker 4>maybe it shouldn't have been. They're playing great, So I am.
<v Speaker 4>I still have the Rams winning the division, but I
<v Speaker 4>got Seattle up there getting them in as a wildcard.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, yep, all right. We're gonna jump into our playoff
<v Speaker 1>predictions here in just one second. But before we do,
<v Speaker 1>we're right about the midway point. And it's funny because
<v Speaker 1>every year we do this, and every year at the
<v Speaker 1>midway point we go, oh, we reallyct this team, and
<v Speaker 1>by the end of the year we go, what were
<v Speaker 1>we thinking? That's all right, We're gonna go around the
<v Speaker 1>horn right now and we are going to say, right now,
<v Speaker 1>if you had to pick a most valuable player, who
<v Speaker 1>would your MVP be and I'll be very honest, right now,
<v Speaker 1>I might go Jonathan Taylor running back for the Colt,
<v Speaker 1>but I know that's not who's gonna win it because hey,
<v Speaker 1>let's be honest, they don't pick running backs. They're not
<v Speaker 1>gonna give it to that guy. Mike, who would be
<v Speaker 1>your MVP right now at the midway point?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's just like the Heisman in college right. Yes,
<v Speaker 3>I don't know. It's funny there's two top five candidates
<v Speaker 3>on the same team right now. I think in the
<v Speaker 3>last few weeks, May has joined the conversation. Yeah, Stafford
<v Speaker 3>is playing out of his mind. I'm gonna take the
<v Speaker 3>dark horse. I'm gonna take Taylor. I think what he's
<v Speaker 3>doing is absolutely incredible, and because he's so potent, that's
<v Speaker 3>I think that's why Daniel Jones is having a successful
<v Speaker 3>season as well.
<v Speaker 1>So I would agree about one hundred percent. Rob, What
<v Speaker 1>about you, who'd be your MVP right now at the
<v Speaker 1>midway point?
<v Speaker 2>For me, it would be Stafford. Okay, Mike mentioned just
<v Speaker 2>playing out of his mind right now. I think that,
<v Speaker 2>you know, keeps going. Yeah, So Stafford for me.
<v Speaker 1>I get it. He is so valuable to that team.
<v Speaker 1>They lose him. That's a different team, Larry, finish this off.
<v Speaker 1>Who would be your MVP at the midway point?
<v Speaker 5>Okay, I'll go different. I'm gonna go Sam Donald.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I will say that Seattle continues to win ball
<v Speaker 4>games and and you know, I think part of the
<v Speaker 4>part of the Matt stafford is that he should be
<v Speaker 4>doing it right. Yeah, no one, no one really expects
<v Speaker 4>Donald to do this. He's just got that whatever, that
<v Speaker 4>old legacy hanging on him. But yeah, I'll take him.
<v Speaker 1>All right, We're gonna go to one more award, and
<v Speaker 1>that would be the dreaded mid season Coach of the Year.
<v Speaker 1>Me personally, I would probably go Mike Rabel the New
<v Speaker 1>England Patriots. But does anybody else have anything different, because
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, there's a number of teams that could
<v Speaker 1>have this. Mike, who would be your mid season coach
<v Speaker 1>of the Year?
<v Speaker 3>I really like Rabel with what he has done with
<v Speaker 3>that team. Tell you say this name to a casual,
<v Speaker 3>casual NFL fan will wonder who you're talking about. How
<v Speaker 3>about the coach of the Colts.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, no, you're right, Shane Stier. Yeah, he's done a
<v Speaker 1>phenomenal job.
<v Speaker 3>Nobody knows who he is. But you're right, you're taking
<v Speaker 3>a cast off who probably wouldn't have started if the
<v Speaker 3>young kid wouldn't have got injured. Right, you make a
<v Speaker 3>good trade to shore up your defense midway through the league.
<v Speaker 3>He's he's got to get some votes there. I like
<v Speaker 3>that one.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, No, that's a good pick. I like that pick. Rob.
<v Speaker 1>What about you? Who'd be getting your coach of the year?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I agree, Shane Steichen from the Colts. Like I said,
<v Speaker 2>there was a little buzz about you know, Rabel. You
<v Speaker 2>know with the Titans, he was a proven coach. You know,
<v Speaker 2>people thought they wouldn't be this good the Patriots, but
<v Speaker 2>you know there was an idea there. Like Mike said,
<v Speaker 2>the Colts kind of came out of nowhere. Yes, So
<v Speaker 2>for me, it's Shane.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Larry finished this off. Who would be your
<v Speaker 1>coach of the year? And why is his name? Pete Carroll?
<v Speaker 5>That would be funny. No, I am gonna take Verbel.
<v Speaker 4>I think, you know, I think more you know of
<v Speaker 4>what May is doing has to do with the coach
<v Speaker 4>and the defense.
<v Speaker 5>I think he's got his fingerprints all over that.
<v Speaker 4>Not that Shane Steichen wouldn't be a good pick also,
<v Speaker 4>but I'm going with.
<v Speaker 1>Verbel I get it. No, he's done a phenomenal job.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't know that again that you could go,
<v Speaker 1>you know, wrong on either one of those guys. They've
<v Speaker 1>done very very well. All right, let's now jump in
<v Speaker 1>and go to our playoff predictions. We are going to
<v Speaker 1>roll through our top seven teams from each conference and
<v Speaker 1>let everyone know who's going to be making the postseason. Mike,
<v Speaker 1>go ahead and start us off. Just roll through the
<v Speaker 1>AFC one three seven. Who do you have?
<v Speaker 3>Top two? Nobody would have thought this at the beginning
<v Speaker 3>of the year, right, I've got the Patriots as the
<v Speaker 3>number one seed. Okay, I've got the Colts is the
<v Speaker 3>number two seed. Like I said before, i got the
<v Speaker 3>Chiefs winning the coming back and winning the West. And
<v Speaker 3>I've got Baltimore winning that division. Wildcards or Denver, Los
<v Speaker 3>Angeles Chargers and the Buffalo Bills.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Rob, you are up next. Let's have your
<v Speaker 1>top seven picks in the afsay, yeah, same.
<v Speaker 2>Team's different order. Patriots number overall, number one, Colts number two,
<v Speaker 2>Denver Broncos number three, Ravens number four, and then my
<v Speaker 2>wild cards, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and La Chargers.
<v Speaker 1>And Larry finished this off. Who are your top seven?
<v Speaker 5>Okay?
<v Speaker 4>I've got Patriots number one, Indie number two, the Baltimore
<v Speaker 4>Ravens number three, Denver number four, KC five, Chargers six.
<v Speaker 5>Oh in Buffalo, Buffalo. Yeah, so Buffalo's seven, right?
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 1>Yep, that would be seven. All right, I would go
<v Speaker 1>number one. I'm gonna I'm gonna stick with the Colts,
<v Speaker 1>Patriots at two, Broncos at three, Ravens at four, and
<v Speaker 1>then Bill's Chiefs and Jaguars as my wild car teams.
<v Speaker 1>I won't feel good about them. Moving over to the NC, Mike,
<v Speaker 1>what do you have?
<v Speaker 3>I've got the Rams as the number one seed. I
<v Speaker 3>like Philly as the number two seed, and the Lions
<v Speaker 3>and the Bucks. High wildcard is Seattle at number five,
<v Speaker 3>Green Bay and then the Niners.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Rob, you're up. NFC? What do you got?
<v Speaker 2>Same team's different order, Eagles number one, Rams number two,
<v Speaker 2>Bucks number three, Lions number four, then wild cards Seattle
<v Speaker 2>forty nine, Ers, and the Packers.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Larry, you are the last one. What do
<v Speaker 1>you got? NFC?
<v Speaker 3>Okay?
<v Speaker 4>I still have Detroit number one, Philly two, Rams three,
<v Speaker 4>Tampa Bay four, Seattle five, Green Bay six, nine or seven.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have our seven. My NFC looks a
<v Speaker 1>little bit different. I've got Seattle staying on top of
<v Speaker 1>the one. Packers two, Philly three, Tampa at four, the Rams, Lions,
<v Speaker 1>and Niners finish out those three wildcard spots. All right,
<v Speaker 1>we are going to jump in right now to our
<v Speaker 1>wild Card weekend. Give me all three of your AFC
<v Speaker 1>wild Card games and winners. Mike, you are up first.
<v Speaker 1>Give me your three wildcard games, and who's gonna win them?
<v Speaker 3>Indy over Buffalo, the Chiefs over the Chargers.
<v Speaker 1>Who that would be fun?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>And your four versus five or.
<v Speaker 3>Versus five for that tough Baltimore beating the Broncos.
<v Speaker 1>Well that just hurts my feelings. All right, rob AFC
<v Speaker 1>wild Card weekend, what's gonna look like?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Number two verse seven Colts versus the Chargers. I got
<v Speaker 2>the Colts advancing. This is where that Chargers line gets
<v Speaker 2>them into trouble. Yeah, the three six Broncos versus the Chiefs. Sorry, guys,
<v Speaker 2>but I have the Chiefs advancing.
<v Speaker 1>All right?
<v Speaker 2>Then number four and five I got the Ravens versus
<v Speaker 2>the Bills and the Ravens get it done this time.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, Baltimore takes it all right, Larry, AFC wild Card.
<v Speaker 1>Who are your three games?
<v Speaker 4>I've got Chargers over over Baltimore, Okay, I've got Buffalo
<v Speaker 4>over Houston.
<v Speaker 1>Buffalo gets through, and.
<v Speaker 5>Casey and Denver and Denver wins.
<v Speaker 1>Up, Denver advances. Well, that makes me feel a little
<v Speaker 1>bit better. I don't know if I buy it all right.
<v Speaker 1>On my side, I've got Patriots versus Jags, Patriots advance,
<v Speaker 1>Broncos versus Chiefs. Chiefs advance, Ravens versus Bills, and Bills advance.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Mike, NFC Wildcard Weekend, what do you got?
<v Speaker 2>Uh?
<v Speaker 4>My?
<v Speaker 3>Two seven is the Eagles over the Niners. We've got
<v Speaker 3>the Lions beating the Packers and an NFC North showdown there,
<v Speaker 3>and then I've got Seattle upsetting Tampa Bay.
<v Speaker 1>I like that. Rob, You're up, NFC. What's it looked
<v Speaker 1>like in Wildcard Weekend?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Two seven is Rams versus the Packers. I got
<v Speaker 2>the Rams advancing. The three six, I got the Bucks
<v Speaker 2>versus the forty nine ers. I have the Bucks advancing
<v Speaker 2>in a close one, and the four to five is
<v Speaker 2>the Lions and the Seahawks. This is where it falls
<v Speaker 2>apart for Donald.
<v Speaker 1>Lions Detroit beat Sam Donald. He turned into a pumpkin.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Larry, NFC Wildcard weekend. What do you got?
<v Speaker 5>I've got the Rams, Lions, Seattle, and Philly.
<v Speaker 1>You have four teams winning your clearly drunk?
<v Speaker 3>Sorry? Is that the new flex game on Prime?
<v Speaker 5>Sorry? Sorry? Rams, Lions in Seattle.
<v Speaker 1>Detroit and Seattle get through? All right. I have got
<v Speaker 1>Packers versus Niners, Packers advance, Eagles versus Lions, Eagles advance,
<v Speaker 1>and Buccaneers versus Rams and Rams advance. All right, we
<v Speaker 1>are moving on to the divisional round. Mike, I want
<v Speaker 1>both divisional games on the AFC side. What do you
<v Speaker 1>have for your divisional round?
<v Speaker 3>I've got let's see the one versus four that's gonna be.
<v Speaker 3>I've got the Patriots beating the.
<v Speaker 1>Ravens, New England advances to the championship game. What do
<v Speaker 1>you got next?
<v Speaker 3>And Indie beating Kansas City.
<v Speaker 1>And the Colts. So now you're getting Patriots versus Cults.
<v Speaker 1>All right? I like that, rob AFC divisional round. How
<v Speaker 1>does it look?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? The Patriots versus the Chiefs get an upset here
<v Speaker 2>Chiefs advance. Then the two verses four is the Colts
<v Speaker 2>versus the Ravens falls apart for the Colts, Ravens advance.
<v Speaker 1>Ooh, Casey and Baltimore are going to that championship round, Larry,
<v Speaker 1>what do you got AFC Division round? Who's getting through?
<v Speaker 5>Hey, I've got Chargers beating Buffalo, and I've got the
<v Speaker 5>Pats beating Denver.
<v Speaker 1>Ooh it hurts, yeah, hurts a lot. All right, I
<v Speaker 1>have got Patriots versus Bills, Patriots advance, Colts versus Chiefs,
<v Speaker 1>Chiefs advance. I will go vomit quietly to myself. All right, Mike,
<v Speaker 1>moving over to that NFC side Division round. What do
<v Speaker 1>you have.
<v Speaker 3>Let's see here in the NFC West Showdown. I've got
<v Speaker 3>the Rams beating the Seahawks.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, that'd be a fun one.
<v Speaker 3>And the other game is and I've got Philly beaten Detroit.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, Rams versus Philly. Okay, I like that. That'd be
<v Speaker 1>a good matchup, very similar to what we had last
<v Speaker 1>year in the division round. Rob what do you got NFC.
<v Speaker 2>NFC one seed verse the four that's the Eagles versus
<v Speaker 2>the Lions. I have the Eagles advancing, Then the two
<v Speaker 2>three game Rams and the Bucks Rams in a blowout.
<v Speaker 1>Ooh, you guys have exactly the same teams getting through.
<v Speaker 1>On the NFC side, Larry, NFC side, who's getting through
<v Speaker 1>the divisional round?
<v Speaker 5>I've got the Rams beating Detroit, and I've got Seattle
<v Speaker 5>coming out of the other game.
<v Speaker 1>And the Seahawks get through. And in my division round,
<v Speaker 1>I've got Packers versus Rams, I've got Packers advancing, and
<v Speaker 1>I have got Seahawks versus Eagles. Seahawks advance and get
<v Speaker 1>past the tush push because they were playing at home
<v Speaker 1>and they made too much noise. All right, we are
<v Speaker 1>now down to our championship game. Mike, just go ahead
<v Speaker 1>and tell us Super Bowl sixty. Don't tell us who's winning.
<v Speaker 1>Who's going?
<v Speaker 3>Uh, Indian the.
<v Speaker 1>Rams, Indianapolis Colts versus the Los Angeles Rams going to
<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl sixty. We'll come back to you in just
<v Speaker 1>one minute for your winner, Rob, super Bowl sixty. Who's
<v Speaker 1>going to be in it?
<v Speaker 2>AFC Chiefs first, Ravens. The hype is a loud, big underdogs,
<v Speaker 2>but we get Ravens come through other side. Eagles versus
<v Speaker 2>Rams comes down to the wire again. Rams lose it
<v Speaker 2>last play of the game. Eagles sneak through and advance.
<v Speaker 2>Ravens Eagles Super.
<v Speaker 1>Rob has got Ravens versus Eagles and the All Birds
<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl. All right, Larry, finish us off. You've got
<v Speaker 1>or You've got Chargers versus Patriots and Rams versus Seattle.
<v Speaker 1>Who's going to Super Bowl sixty? Larry?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I've got the Chargers coming out of the Wow.
<v Speaker 4>I've got the Rams coming out of the NFC.
<v Speaker 1>An All LA Super Bowl for Larry.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, maybe they could sell out the stadium with both.
<v Speaker 1>Don't get carried away now you've gone too far. All right,
<v Speaker 1>I am going Super Bowl sixty in Santa Clara. I
<v Speaker 1>am going with an old school AFC West matchup, Kansas
<v Speaker 1>City Chiefs versus Seattle Seahawks.
<v Speaker 5>Wow.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, disgusting on all fronts. I understand completely. All right, Mike,
<v Speaker 1>you're going to start this off super Bowl sixty. You
<v Speaker 1>have Indy versus the Rams in a game that Eric
<v Speaker 1>Dickerson has no idea to cheer for. Who is going
<v Speaker 1>to come out on top super Bowl sixty.
<v Speaker 3>I'm gonna stick with the Rams.
<v Speaker 1>Rams to win, all right. Rob, You've got Baltimore versus
<v Speaker 1>the Eagles in your Super Bowl sixty. Who's going to
<v Speaker 1>be our super Bowl champions?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Ravens versus Eagles in a back and forth game
<v Speaker 2>experience takes over Eagles spec.
<v Speaker 1>To back, Philly wins back to back. You know, Rob
<v Speaker 1>would just be elated if that were to happen. He's
<v Speaker 1>not going home at all. Larry, you are up next.
<v Speaker 1>You have got an all LA super Bowl played in
<v Speaker 1>northern California. Hey, where the hoboes are running rich and
<v Speaker 1>the poop is everywhere. Who's coming on? Who's going home
<v Speaker 1>with the hardware?
<v Speaker 5>I'm with Mike. It's going to be the Rams.
<v Speaker 1>Rams. Wow, we've got We've got two Rams picks here
<v Speaker 1>to win it all, and I am finishing it off.
<v Speaker 1>I have got the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Seattle Seahawks,
<v Speaker 1>And you knew it had to happen. At some point,
<v Speaker 1>Sam Donald looked in the mirror and realized, oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>I'm Sam Donald. A few calls just magically swing their way.
<v Speaker 1>The Kansas City Chiefs somehow still come back win the
<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl, and no one watches the NFL ever again,
<v Speaker 1>We're done. I've had enough. I'm not watching this fixed
<v Speaker 1>nonsense anymore. I've got the Chiefs rallying to beat the
<v Speaker 1>Seattle Seahawks. Hey that you know. It's funny because I
<v Speaker 1>went through and I had made my picks, I scrapped
<v Speaker 1>them all, I redid them. I scrapped him again. I
<v Speaker 1>made a couple of changes, and then I just threw
<v Speaker 1>darts at a board And this is what I came
<v Speaker 1>up with. But if you can tell anyone that they
<v Speaker 1>can do any better, I go ahead, because I can't
<v Speaker 1>figure out this league from one minute to the next.
<v Speaker 1>It's insane. And every single week the games that we go,
<v Speaker 1>hey there might be an upset there, that's not the one.
<v Speaker 1>The one we never saw coming is the one? What
<v Speaker 1>happened there? I is it just parody? Is that all?
<v Speaker 1>Is that? All it is? The margin for error is
<v Speaker 1>just so small, it is it is.
<v Speaker 4>And injuries we've seen that this year for sure. They
<v Speaker 4>just take a toll man and you know, if you're
<v Speaker 4>able to count for him and hopefully get guys back
<v Speaker 4>at the right time, that means everything right Like the
<v Speaker 4>early part of the season is just kind of a
<v Speaker 4>shaken out period and hopefully you're in good position.
<v Speaker 5>But it's about being healthy from here on out till the.
<v Speaker 1>End well and who can stay healthy and right now,
<v Speaker 1>who actually starts to get better, because we're going to
<v Speaker 1>start to see some teams making some runs. We're going
<v Speaker 1>to start seeing some teams get some streaks together and
<v Speaker 1>start figuring it out. Teams that may start slow. You know,
<v Speaker 1>we talked about Baltimore. Here's a team that a couple
<v Speaker 1>of weeks ago, we're looking at their left for dead
<v Speaker 1>and now we're going, I don't know, they might figure
<v Speaker 1>this out and make and make a run. And meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>we could see a team that started so fast. And
<v Speaker 1>I'll just use this because we use it every year,
<v Speaker 1>but usually it's Arizona. We're like, hey, Arizona looks pretty good,
<v Speaker 1>and then they just go down the toilet. By now.
<v Speaker 1>It starts, you know, fast, and then they fade very
<v Speaker 1>very quickly. I think we're going to see that again
<v Speaker 1>this year because we seem to see it every single Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Well, and it also has a lot to do with
<v Speaker 4>the rest of your division, right Yeah, if you don't
<v Speaker 4>know or if you expect your division to be worse
<v Speaker 4>or better than it was, you know, you're how you
<v Speaker 4>play those games changes. But yeah, if you find yourself
<v Speaker 4>in a division that that isn't that competitive, and you
<v Speaker 4>get that the division title, then you're set up pretty
<v Speaker 4>good regardless of what your record is.
<v Speaker 1>Sure, and you make a really good point because we're
<v Speaker 1>talking about some of these games. Hey, somebody from the
<v Speaker 1>NFC South is going to get a home playoff game.
<v Speaker 1>Every year, it seems like we see a team in
<v Speaker 1>the playoffs that we're like, they won. No, it happens
<v Speaker 1>every single year, and I think we're going to see
<v Speaker 1>it happen again because again, that margin for error is
<v Speaker 1>just so small. You get into games, you see a turnover,
<v Speaker 1>you see a penalty, and all of a sudden, the
<v Speaker 1>game swings away that we did not expect it to
<v Speaker 1>go at all. Mike, We're going to go ahead and
<v Speaker 1>finish this off. But do you have any closing thoughts
<v Speaker 1>anything that you're looking forward to the rest of this
<v Speaker 1>NFL season? What do you have for your closing thoughts
<v Speaker 1>on our mid season NFL review?
<v Speaker 3>You know, it's it's just always you never know what
<v Speaker 3>to expect, right that people say the NFL is scripted,
<v Speaker 3>but you can't make a script like what you're on
<v Speaker 3>this year. I mean, we had another what twenty six
<v Speaker 3>point comeback today? That's there's more this year than in
<v Speaker 3>the last twenty years or something like that. In the
<v Speaker 3>fourth quarter, it's how many blocked punts and blocked field
<v Speaker 3>goals have there been this year? I mean, it's it's
<v Speaker 3>so bizarre this year. It's fun. Any team obviously can
<v Speaker 3>win at any time against anybody. I mean, who would
<v Speaker 3>have thought Miami would have drubbed the Bills today? I mean,
<v Speaker 3>come on, it's you never know what to expect. And
<v Speaker 3>that's what's great about the NFL.
<v Speaker 1>No, you're exactly right. And every year talk about it
<v Speaker 1>and say, hey, there's going to be a team, and
<v Speaker 1>we think they're going to be better this year. And
<v Speaker 1>nobody saw the cults like nobody, nobody thought that was
<v Speaker 1>going to happen. And here we are, and we're going
<v Speaker 1>to who why don't we see the coming? Because you can't.
<v Speaker 1>You just can't tell. You figure, you have a team
<v Speaker 1>figured out, you have a coach figured out, you have
<v Speaker 1>a player step up, and all of a sudden, you're going, wow,
<v Speaker 1>they're a lot better than we expected. Rob what do
<v Speaker 1>you have? It's mid season and and that's always kind
<v Speaker 1>of Hey, this has been really fun. And also, why
<v Speaker 1>is the season halfway over. That depresses me. But Rob,
<v Speaker 1>what do you have for your for the mid season review?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't know how it's gone that fast, but
<v Speaker 2>definitely looking forward to the back half of the season.
<v Speaker 2>Kind of like you guys mentioned, like you think right now,
<v Speaker 2>like you got your Patriots eight and two, Colts, your
<v Speaker 2>Broncos all eight and two. But I still have probably
<v Speaker 2>the most questions about those teams out of every right,
<v Speaker 2>and like I said, there's nobody that I really feel
<v Speaker 2>good about. So, like I said, I'm just I'm looking
<v Speaker 2>forward to the second half of the season.
<v Speaker 1>No, you're exactly right about the time I think I
<v Speaker 1>have it figured out. That team just bottoms out and
<v Speaker 1>has a loss that I'm like they lost to who.
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand it. It's just such a wide open season.
<v Speaker 1>Larry finished this off. Give us, give us some clarity,
<v Speaker 1>help us to understand what's going on in the NFL
<v Speaker 1>right now.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I've gotten none of that.
<v Speaker 4>I think it's because it is the surprises, right, the
<v Speaker 4>stuff that comes out of nowhere, you know, there seemed
<v Speaker 4>the kicks, the kicking game is just we're paying attention
<v Speaker 4>to it way more than we ever did. We care
<v Speaker 4>about you know, extra points that don't get made. That's
<v Speaker 4>the margin raa you're talking about, right, And and that's fun.
<v Speaker 4>You know, you'd rather watch a good game than a blowout.
<v Speaker 4>And just because it's coming down to you know, nobody
<v Speaker 4>cared about kickers before, right they it seems like they
<v Speaker 4>do these days.
<v Speaker 1>Well they're booming them almost seventy yards now, Yeah, you're
<v Speaker 1>starting to care a little more.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>It's funny because I heard a lot. You know, we
<v Speaker 1>saw the Denver Broncos this last Thursday look like just
<v Speaker 1>garbage and scrape out of win against the Raiders. And
<v Speaker 1>we're all sitting there going the Bronco is fake and
<v Speaker 1>and I understand the sentiment. And also I look around
<v Speaker 1>the league and go show me who's not fake, because
<v Speaker 1>I don't know everybody's.
<v Speaker 4>How would you rather be a Bronco fan today or
<v Speaker 4>a Buffalo bill fan?
<v Speaker 2>Right?
<v Speaker 3>Right?
<v Speaker 1>No, the Bills are legit, right, but Bill's well are they?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't feel good about anybody. There's not a single
<v Speaker 1>team right now that I'm like, no, I know there,
<v Speaker 1>I don't.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know except for the except for the Rams.
<v Speaker 1>Except for the Rams. They're apparently gonna. Well, we got
<v Speaker 1>two of you guys, got them win the whole thing.
<v Speaker 1>So and then we've got, uh, you know, the league
<v Speaker 1>being involved in one very shady situation that I have picked,
<v Speaker 1>but I picked it last year and I kind of
<v Speaker 1>nailed it. Gentlemen, as usual, I want to thank each
<v Speaker 1>of you for your time. I want to thank EGV
<v Speaker 1>for all your contributions to the Deli does and just know,
<v Speaker 1>as we get down, you know, to those playoffs, we
<v Speaker 1>get a little closer, we get a little further down
<v Speaker 1>into this season, we will have you back and we
<v Speaker 1>will all tell everyone how much we all got. Right.
<v Speaker 1>But I would like to say thank you very much.
<v Speaker 1>Always appreciate your visits, always draw our time together. I
<v Speaker 1>hope you all have a wonderful week. Hey, next week,
