<v Speaker 1>Jay, Katie and Josh makes one hundred. I'm looking at
<v Speaker 1>the calendar and frowning and getting annoyed because I forgot
<v Speaker 1>tomorrow is our work pot luck. Oh I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if you were tuned in last week. I was not
<v Speaker 1>happy about it. Now I'm not a fan of potlucks.
<v Speaker 1>I think they're stupid and disgusting.
<v Speaker 2>But hey, team player.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah tomorrow, I'm excited for tomorrow. I actually went shopping.
<v Speaker 3>I changed up my menu item. I was just gonna
<v Speaker 3>bring rolls to the company potluck, but somebody else is
<v Speaker 3>already doing that, so I slept on that decision.
<v Speaker 4>So I am now gonna.
<v Speaker 1>Make which side note Katie is yes that person work
<v Speaker 1>pot luck. I'm gonna bring a bag of chip or
<v Speaker 1>a bag of roll.
<v Speaker 4>I like to cook.
<v Speaker 3>I usually like to do, but now that we're doing
<v Speaker 3>mornings and everything, and I have to go get my
<v Speaker 3>brakes and my tires done today, and so it's.
<v Speaker 2>Like, you're gonna do it yourself.
<v Speaker 4>No, I have to go bring it in to get
<v Speaker 4>it done. But that just takes up a lot of time.
<v Speaker 3>I really, it's gonna be a busy week. So I
<v Speaker 3>was like, I'm just gonna bring some rolls. Somebody already
<v Speaker 3>did that, so now I am gonna make some smash
<v Speaker 3>burger met.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, we'll get back to that.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to give you too much crap because
<v Speaker 2>I'm bringing pies.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm just gonna go to like sprouts or something
<v Speaker 1>to buy a crack bring it in.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, you're not going to be making anything.
<v Speaker 2>So quickly tell you too.
<v Speaker 1>I think the best part about tomorrow is, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I was complaining about it so much and how it's
<v Speaker 1>gross and I don't want to eat food out of
<v Speaker 1>other people's kitchens and.
<v Speaker 4>Dah dah da da da.
<v Speaker 1>And then later that day I had a quick little
<v Speaker 1>chat with our big boss here, Joel, our big GM.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, I heard you were giving me giving me
<v Speaker 1>crap about my potluck.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're talking bad about the potluck.
<v Speaker 4>And I was like, oh, I was like yeah I was.
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, well, what are you going to
<v Speaker 1>eat at the potluck? He goes, well, whatever I bring.
<v Speaker 4>You're like, you are my people. Yeah, you think the
<v Speaker 4>same way. You have a smirk on his face. He's like,
<v Speaker 4>you just happened to send it on a microphone, that's right. Different,
<v Speaker 4>So what do you bring? In Smashburger.
<v Speaker 3>I bring in smashburger meatballs, so I'm very excited for it.
<v Speaker 3>It's an old family recipe I found on the internet,
<v Speaker 3>so we're gonna make that.
<v Speaker 4>And I went shopping for it yesterday.
<v Speaker 3>And it's funny because I was like at the grocery
<v Speaker 3>store and I made this observation because I was in
<v Speaker 3>the frozen food aisle.
<v Speaker 4>I was grabbing some chicken.
<v Speaker 3>And I was coming to the door from one direction,
<v Speaker 3>and then a guy was coming from the other direction.
<v Speaker 3>And it's funny how people just moved through life, not
<v Speaker 3>noticing anyone but themselves. And that's what this guy struck
<v Speaker 3>me as because he walked right in front of me,
<v Speaker 3>grabbed the handle as I was going to grab it,
<v Speaker 3>and then opened the door and stood there in the
<v Speaker 3>doorway for about three minutes, not like him right behind him,
<v Speaker 3>waiting to get the chicken. That was okay, fine, No,
<v Speaker 3>he was fine. There was nothing wrong with this guy.
<v Speaker 3>He just walked up to it and was completely oblivious
<v Speaker 3>to anyone around him but himself. He stood there in
<v Speaker 3>that doorway for I'm not even for it had to
<v Speaker 3>be three minutes, touching the chicken, looking at the chicken,
<v Speaker 3>turning the chicken around and reading the chicken.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm like literally standing there. And let me tell you,
<v Speaker 4>there are times that I got as well. There's times
<v Speaker 4>did you get? I did? I did?
<v Speaker 3>I was close to him saying something, but when I
<v Speaker 3>was making the sound of I was moving my cart,
<v Speaker 3>so he saw me in the corner of his eye.
<v Speaker 4>He was doing all the things so.
<v Speaker 2>That he with his chicken behind.
<v Speaker 4>Here's the thing.
<v Speaker 3>If you're gonna go, if you're gonna gock, that's fine,
<v Speaker 3>but move to the side so someone can trying to
<v Speaker 3>make a decision.
<v Speaker 4>I know he was, and that's fine with that dad.
<v Speaker 1>Someone on his side, because his wife probably sent him
<v Speaker 1>in and for that few minutes, he's probably like, what
<v Speaker 1>did she tell me to get?
<v Speaker 4>No, I don't know.
<v Speaker 3>You have to have a little bit of spatial awareness
<v Speaker 3>and at least a consideration for others as well. If
<v Speaker 3>you're gonna stand in the same spot for three minutes
<v Speaker 3>in a grocery store, make to look around, look around
<v Speaker 3>and see if there's someone behind you.
<v Speaker 4>I should have, actually, monsters, I should have audibly said something,
<v Speaker 4>maybe excuse me, what are you gonna say? I tried to.
<v Speaker 1>Move so now I can have the chickens.
<v Speaker 3>I was going to grab the door minutes the seconds before.
<v Speaker 4>He swept in front of me to grab it.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like he went in and swooped in on
<v Speaker 3>the situation, and then he was very rude about not
<v Speaker 3>moving for three whole minutes and just standing there in
<v Speaker 3>the doorway like.
<v Speaker 4>It really kind of irritated me.
<v Speaker 3>I took a video of Homie because I was like,
<v Speaker 3>oh fine, if we're just standing here, just give a
<v Speaker 3>video the videobe situation.
<v Speaker 4>Because you're not gonna move.
<v Speaker 1>So he got to the freezer door first, he was
<v Speaker 1>looking at the product he wanted to buy.
<v Speaker 2>For three minutes, he.
<v Speaker 4>Read the whole chicken. Maybe he has dietary restrictions.
<v Speaker 3>He must have because he and here's the thing, I
<v Speaker 3>knew exactly what I wanted.
<v Speaker 4>I loved that chicken. Then give the chicken.
<v Speaker 3>I guess I should have swooped in one point five
<v Speaker 3>seconds earlier.
<v Speaker 4>You get there. It's survival. What was I thinking?
<v Speaker 1>If the go get a couple more things that you
<v Speaker 1>need while this guy is doing his thing, and circle
<v Speaker 1>back around get your chicken.
<v Speaker 4>Before he's done reading the chicken.
<v Speaker 1>It's been two minutes I'm on his side. Okay, you're
<v Speaker 1>an anglic angry shopper.
<v Speaker 4>This is shocking to me that you're angry shopper.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, no, I figured you're you're the selfish one turn
<v Speaker 3>at the freezer turn.
<v Speaker 2>What gives you more of a right to be in
<v Speaker 2>there than him?
<v Speaker 4>No, I he can have his turn. I'm just saying,
<v Speaker 4>look around.
<v Speaker 3>If there's someone behind you, maybe move out of the way.
<v Speaker 3>Don't stand there for three minutes. No, yes, I'm not
<v Speaker 3>doing I really don't.
<v Speaker 4>Don't come at me. I'm not coming at you.
<v Speaker 1>I'm dissecting the situation we are, and I think just
<v Speaker 1>purely observation all the way.
<v Speaker 2>You are a monster.
<v Speaker 4>You stop it right now. Maybe he was hot.
<v Speaker 2>Too and he just needed to cool down a little.
<v Speaker 4>Fever.
<v Speaker 3>You do that, You stand by the meat, by me
<v Speaker 3>chosen meat.
<v Speaker 1>You go stand now, there's different meat restrictions if you're hot.
<v Speaker 1>It's Katie's world and we're all just living in it.
<v Speaker 1>I guess remind me to never go shopping.
<v Speaker 4>You mean me. I'm just calling you out on your nonsense.
<v Speaker 4>Three extra minutes to get my real good?
<v Speaker 2>And what were you doing after the grocery store? You
<v Speaker 2>went home? And sat on your couch and watched stranger things.
<v Speaker 4>I did laundry.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, so what was the big hurry to get out
<v Speaker 2>of the grocery store.
<v Speaker 4>I just didn't want you were heading into sch just
<v Speaker 4>observing that this guy was not letting me.
<v Speaker 1>A doctor who has to get to the hospital to
<v Speaker 1>deliver a baby.
<v Speaker 4>Now I don't matter, No, you matter, okay, but.
<v Speaker 1>What you had going on after this door didn't matter.
<v Speaker 1>Things matter to me, Well, things matter to that guy too.
<v Speaker 1>It was chicken and dietary restriction. It's diving to PM. I.
<v Speaker 1>Although I think this was the last few minutes was
<v Speaker 1>the minus. It was for all of us, big time.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, tell me you have the P Do you have
<v Speaker 4>the pe?
<v Speaker 5>I have the PO And it actually segues perfectly because
<v Speaker 5>there's so much hate going into these conversations that a
<v Speaker 5>recent study has just shown that the strongest friendships anybody
<v Speaker 5>has is not finding commonality in things that you love.
<v Speaker 5>It is finding the common ground in things and people
<v Speaker 5>that you cannot stand. Katie, look that looks at chicken
<v Speaker 5>for three minutes. So find yourself another girl that hates
<v Speaker 5>men that does the same thing. Because absolutely, how you
<v Speaker 5>find your best friendships and Jeremy. I think this has
<v Speaker 5>to do with you a lot too, because you hate
<v Speaker 5>a lot of things.
<v Speaker 1>I don't hate a lot of things, bs On a
<v Speaker 1>lot of things, and you I hate potlucks.
<v Speaker 2>I will say that, but I just call bs On stuff.
<v Speaker 4>What I hate. I think you just there's a lot
<v Speaker 4>of things there's already learning.
<v Speaker 3>I think we've not done three What musicals, Dolly Partner.
<v Speaker 4>I don't hate Dolly Parton.
<v Speaker 1>I just point out that there's an oversaturation adult She's
<v Speaker 1>quite charming.
<v Speaker 4>What else do I hate things already? Today?
<v Speaker 2>I hated musicals?
<v Speaker 4>No, you don't have to. We know you do. You
<v Speaker 4>can just see in my face.
<v Speaker 2>Music speak the fuel all the time.
<v Speaker 4>You hate downtown? There you go. There's another thing. Come on,
<v Speaker 4>I mean, all three of us hate going But that's
<v Speaker 4>why we like each other. We have a common ground
<v Speaker 4>and their hatred for going downtown.
<v Speaker 2>Because I don't hate a lot of things.
<v Speaker 4>You kind of do. Though.
<v Speaker 1>I hate complaining Katie complaining about this guy in the
<v Speaker 1>Frozen Chicken.
<v Speaker 5>I hated that, see and I found common I found
<v Speaker 5>commonality with you there. I was like, you know what, Katie,
<v Speaker 5>you kind of sound like the jerk in this story.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just the logical voice of reasons sometimes and people
<v Speaker 1>don't like that. And that's you just said it to
<v Speaker 1>You're like, now that I said it out.
<v Speaker 2>Loud, maybe I was the bad person.
<v Speaker 4>Well, the video parts.
<v Speaker 1>Filming somebody, some innocent man in the grocery store looking
<v Speaker 1>at chicken, and you're like, I gotta film this.
<v Speaker 3>Bitterly and sweatpants and sneakers, and I'm like.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he's going through a rough time and he's got
<v Speaker 1>an inner ear problem he couldn't even hear you.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe, and dietary restriction.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know. I don't know him.
<v Speaker 1>You're right, you're right. Okay, we're right, Katie. Now now
<v Speaker 1>do you have the minus? What's your second minus minus?
<v Speaker 3>And it is actually having to do with the holiday
<v Speaker 3>coming up and the businesses that have decided they're gonna
<v Speaker 3>stay open during Thanksgiving. There's a lot of them this year,
<v Speaker 3>and I couldn't.
<v Speaker 4>I don't like this. I don't either.
<v Speaker 3>So Arby's many locations are going to be open on Thanksgiving.
<v Speaker 3>Burger King, here's the thing. There's a few that aren't
<v Speaker 3>as well. But Cracker Barrel is in the camp that
<v Speaker 3>is gonna stay open. David Busters is gonna be open Duncan.
<v Speaker 1>Like so many You're gonna have people out there, like
<v Speaker 1>sweatpants guy possibly that don't have anybody else, nothing else
<v Speaker 1>to do.
<v Speaker 4>They need to eat.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they want to go out to the cracker Barrel
<v Speaker 1>and get a chicken fried steak that day. Yeah so
<v Speaker 1>and on top of it, employees get like time and
<v Speaker 1>a half and they might love it.
<v Speaker 3>And that's the thing is like there, I just remember
<v Speaker 3>a time when everything was shut down on Thanksgiving. It
<v Speaker 3>was a day when everyone was with their family and
<v Speaker 3>celebrating and it was just a thing.
<v Speaker 4>But you are so right, like you hit the nail
<v Speaker 4>on the head.
<v Speaker 3>Not only are there people who don't have families to
<v Speaker 3>celebrate with and they'd still like a place that they
<v Speaker 3>can enjoy a good meal, there are those workers out
<v Speaker 3>there who are going to be getting holiday pay who
<v Speaker 3>really rely on that. And you know, you look at
<v Speaker 3>the people who are working at restaurants. You know the
<v Speaker 3>tips that come in on thanksg Like people are super
<v Speaker 3>generous with the tips because people are working on Thanksgiving.
<v Speaker 3>So we don't want to completely dismiss that. There's a
<v Speaker 3>lot of people who enjoy these businesses being open on
<v Speaker 3>the holiday. But yeah, so there's a positive and of
<v Speaker 3>minus all there as well.
<v Speaker 4>Make that much.
<v Speaker 5>I do like that too, because we always focus so
<v Speaker 5>hard on the dinner and like everything, getting everything ready.
<v Speaker 5>Almost every single time on Thanksgiving, I completely forget about
<v Speaker 5>making a lunch. So I like that you could stop
<v Speaker 5>off at Arby's or something like that, you know, because
<v Speaker 5>there's always the tie over food, you know, meal that
<v Speaker 5>you need right before you go into Thanksgiving and eat
<v Speaker 5>at two pm.
<v Speaker 4>Like yeah, you know, no exactly.
<v Speaker 3>There's a lot of reasons for places to stay open.
<v Speaker 3>So there's a little bit of both coming up next week.
<v Speaker 1>Just make sure if you're standing in line at Arby's
<v Speaker 1>crowd looking at that menu there, come be aware of
<v Speaker 1>Katie behind you.
<v Speaker 4>What if that was it?
<v Speaker 3>Like you went up to order at Arby's and they're like,
<v Speaker 3>are you ready, and they're like, give me a second,
<v Speaker 3>I'm almost ready, and there were people behind you who
<v Speaker 3>were ready, and you didn't say, say point of a line,
<v Speaker 3>You didn't say you know what, you had the make
<v Speaker 3>up your mind, and now you're up there it is
<v Speaker 3>time for.
<v Speaker 2>You can't see from a distance, and.
<v Speaker 3>Then everyone's been waiting for us for you to order,
<v Speaker 3>and you're not even ready.
<v Speaker 4>No, you you're so hungry.
<v Speaker 3>You step back and you let that person behind you go.
<v Speaker 3>They're ready, they know what the assignment was.
<v Speaker 4>They're ready.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, But how do I know that? What if I
<v Speaker 1>let you go ahead of me and and you're still like,
<v Speaker 1>you know what?
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what I want? They're like, you know,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what I want? Either? Someone will. That's
<v Speaker 4>crazy talk that someone will know, beause the point of
<v Speaker 4>a line, though you are there to wait, you know
<v Speaker 4>what your You can't be holding up that line. I
<v Speaker 4>don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Same with the drive through.
<v Speaker 4>You with me about food so much today.
<v Speaker 1>Same with the drive through, Like if I pull up
<v Speaker 1>to then what I want all over and let you
<v Speaker 1>go in front of me and a drive I need
<v Speaker 1>to know the rules here.
<v Speaker 4>You should know what you want when you get up there.
<v Speaker 2>But if I've never been, is this your first time?
<v Speaker 1>I haven't been to Arby's in one hundred years, So honestly,
<v Speaker 1>if I rolled into an Arby's, I wouldn't know what
<v Speaker 1>to get.
<v Speaker 4>It would take me a few minutes. It's the same
<v Speaker 4>as every other one. You walk up, you roll up,
<v Speaker 4>you order, you go to the beef and cheddar.
<v Speaker 5>You get the beef and cheddar, no matter what.
<v Speaker 2>But what if I want to side?
<v Speaker 4>What kind of side do they have?
<v Speaker 2>I didn't know that it would take me a minute
<v Speaker 2>to look at their sides.
<v Speaker 4>Now what if I being crazy? Their sauces are good?
<v Speaker 4>You go with the horses sauce of the army.
<v Speaker 2>I think you just anti line. You are anti line.
<v Speaker 4>I'm anti have your stuff together and be ready to order.
<v Speaker 3>Rush.
<v Speaker 4>I'm actually kind of taking Jay's side. Now, such a
<v Speaker 4>rush everywhere. I don't know why you guys are coming
<v Speaker 4>at me. We're coming.
<v Speaker 2>You came at that poor man with the chicken is
<v Speaker 2>who you're coming at?
<v Speaker 4>He probably listens to the show, and is that me?
<v Speaker 4>Do you want to seek? At this point? I do
<v Speaker 4>want to. Let me quickly give you the interesting.
<v Speaker 2>We'll get into a break and then you can show
<v Speaker 2>me your Cooper video.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, all right, listen.
<v Speaker 1>This is truly interesting and truly makes me so happy.
<v Speaker 1>Researchers are saying that raccoons may be inching closer to
<v Speaker 1>becoming pets. You guys, let's raccoons are physically changing in
<v Speaker 1>their response to interactions with humans. Uh, their faces are involving,
<v Speaker 1>evolving to look cuter.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, no way.
<v Speaker 1>They say they're dumpster diving less because they're getting foods
<v Speaker 1>from humans. Uh, they're becoming less disease ridden. It's all
<v Speaker 1>because the time, the time and proximity that they are
<v Speaker 1>spending around people, mostly men, standing in front of freezers
<v Speaker 1>at store. Yes, so they're showing signs of domestication syndrome
<v Speaker 1>is what they're calling it. Foxes, it's happening to and mice.
<v Speaker 1>It's also happening to.
<v Speaker 2>The raccoons.
<v Speaker 1>If you I have ever looked at pictures of baby raccoon.
<v Speaker 4>Their hands are little. There's so yeah. I love them.
<v Speaker 4>I love them. They're so cute. I want a baby raccoon.
<v Speaker 2>I want a baby raccoon as well.
<v Speaker 4>I want a baby raccoon so bad.
<v Speaker 2>I hope you don't have to stand in line for
<v Speaker 2>a while.
