<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katy and Josh one hundred before we dive into
<v Speaker 1>pm I. I did have this story in front of
<v Speaker 1>me this morning as Katie was just a little bit
<v Speaker 1>ago talking about how she's in the Christmas I am.
<v Speaker 2>I love it.
<v Speaker 1>She put her tree up, she got a new tree skirt,
<v Speaker 1>a fancy little star at the top of her tree.
<v Speaker 1>They say, if you're having a hard time getting into
<v Speaker 1>the Christmas spirit, there are five things that you should
<v Speaker 1>be doing to kind of get yourself in the mood. Okay, meyow.
<v Speaker 1>Number one just says the usual suspects. Put your tree up,
<v Speaker 1>get some lights on your house.
<v Speaker 2>It helps, It really does.
<v Speaker 3>Listen to a little bit of Christmas music.
<v Speaker 1>I might go off on Christmas lights later this week,
<v Speaker 1>we'll see, okay, because I think outdoor Christmas.
<v Speaker 3>Lights are stupid.
<v Speaker 1>But that's that's a whole nother issue.
<v Speaker 3>Stupid out stupid, that's stupid.
<v Speaker 1>Number two, Wrap a few gifts, just start rapping, you know,
<v Speaker 1>put a few under your tree, get the Christmas paper out,
<v Speaker 1>get the tape in, the scissors, do that thing where
<v Speaker 1>you get the scissors on the paper.
<v Speaker 3>And go or kas make as feeling ever. That'll get
<v Speaker 3>you in the mood.
<v Speaker 1>So number three is eat or drink something festive, have
<v Speaker 1>a little egg nug, a little hot Toddie or something.
<v Speaker 2>Peppermint mocha, December.
<v Speaker 3>Girl, Yes Girl. Number four go ice skating. I don't
<v Speaker 3>want to do that. I might fall, Actually, I might
<v Speaker 3>roll my ankle yet again.
<v Speaker 1>And then number five, which is easy to just throw
<v Speaker 1>on your favorite Christmas movie.
<v Speaker 2>Which is mine, is probably Christmas Story.
<v Speaker 1>I just love that one, like Rambo.
<v Speaker 2>Okay isn't.
<v Speaker 3>Or Violent Night that's a good one too.
<v Speaker 1>I will say Christmas Vacation has already been played I
<v Speaker 1>think three times.
<v Speaker 3>Now at the house. Oh my gosh, great movie. Man
<v Speaker 3>oh man, man oh man.
<v Speaker 1>All right, guys, this time for a little PMI, we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna throw a positive story at you, a minus and
<v Speaker 1>something interesting to start your day with.
<v Speaker 3>Jake, Kay, j you got the.
<v Speaker 2>Pei got that pe okay.
<v Speaker 4>Because here's the thing is, there's actually a term when
<v Speaker 4>it comes to sitting in the dentist chair and you
<v Speaker 4>don't want to. It's called dento phobia. I suffer from
<v Speaker 4>dento phobia. Eye the dento phobiat going to the dentist and.
<v Speaker 3>You haven't been in like six seven years, it's been.
<v Speaker 4>Two years actually coming up this February, I think. But
<v Speaker 4>part of the reason is when I have to go
<v Speaker 4>in and get my cleaning, like they have to do
<v Speaker 4>extreme cleaning on my teeth, and.
<v Speaker 2>I just I can't. I just it makes me so anxious.
<v Speaker 4>Just even thinking about it puts me in a mood
<v Speaker 4>to where I just it makes me so fearful.
<v Speaker 3>Let me ask you about the extreme cleaning.
<v Speaker 1>Is it just because you've got like a saliva issue
<v Speaker 1>or is it just because you've been putting it off
<v Speaker 1>for so long?
<v Speaker 3>It's because hygiene.
<v Speaker 2>It's well.
<v Speaker 4>For one, I have the diastemas, which are the spaces
<v Speaker 4>between my teeth, which makes it easier for things to
<v Speaker 4>get in between them, actually floss.
<v Speaker 2>A little better and everything.
<v Speaker 4>Also, back in the day, I was a smoker, and
<v Speaker 4>if you're a smoker, they have to do an extra
<v Speaker 4>cleaning on your teeth.
<v Speaker 2>Because they have to get up in those gums.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, years ago.
<v Speaker 4>I had not smoked in probably like seven eight years.
<v Speaker 4>It's been That's what I said. And the ladies the
<v Speaker 4>last time when I went in, I told her, I
<v Speaker 4>was like, it has been years since I smoked.
<v Speaker 2>You still gotta move my gums back the way you do.
<v Speaker 1>And how much were you smoking? I mean nine packs
<v Speaker 1>a day smoke. It was like how many packs a day?
<v Speaker 1>So that's a little under a pack of day. I think,
<v Speaker 1>like I was a smoker.
<v Speaker 2>Like smoke.
<v Speaker 1>Thought maybe if you were pounding three packs a day,
<v Speaker 1>then yeah, it's probably later.
<v Speaker 2>No, it's just the you when you're a smoker.
<v Speaker 4>You have to go in and get that extra cleaning
<v Speaker 4>type stuff and they literally have to like pull back
<v Speaker 4>your gums and then the water.
<v Speaker 2>Is like, oh my gosh, I hurt so much. So anyway,
<v Speaker 2>EVE been thinking about it makes my face.
<v Speaker 3>Do you have a water pick at home?
<v Speaker 2>No?
<v Speaker 3>You should maybe get yourself a water pick.
<v Speaker 2>That makes me anxious again. It reminds me of the demis,
<v Speaker 2>but the nightmare if.
<v Speaker 1>This might like wean you off of that a little bit,
<v Speaker 1>if you have control over how.
<v Speaker 4>Much water pick though, And it made me inc like
<v Speaker 4>I would go to bed and have nightmares of the
<v Speaker 4>water pick because.
<v Speaker 1>We have water picks at our house. When the kids
<v Speaker 1>had braces. You know, you get in there and squirt
<v Speaker 1>it all out. Okay, sometimes I take it in the
<v Speaker 1>shower and get my Yeah, I don't want it to
<v Speaker 1>go to.
<v Speaker 2>Multiple uses. I get it.
<v Speaker 4>I swear this is the positive though, because here this
<v Speaker 4>is a new thing that they're doing therapy dogs at
<v Speaker 4>the dentist office.
<v Speaker 3>What do the dogs do the cleaning?
<v Speaker 2>No, the dogs just.
<v Speaker 4>Lay on your lap while they mess around in your
<v Speaker 4>mouth and get all the stuff done. What And here's
<v Speaker 4>the thing is, there is a dental assistant right here
<v Speaker 4>in Colorado who kind of went viral with her just cuddliness,
<v Speaker 4>and that's why this story is making the round.
<v Speaker 2>So her name is Annie.
<v Speaker 4>She's a little lab at Highlands Ranch Dental Care and
<v Speaker 4>she is a patient care assistant, so she comforts anxious
<v Speaker 4>patients and helps them stay calm. She is not the
<v Speaker 4>only famous dental therapy dog here in Colorado, though. Lucy
<v Speaker 4>is a Golden Retriever out at the University of Colorado
<v Speaker 4>School of Dental Medicine, and she roams the clinic halls
<v Speaker 4>helping patients feel more at ease during procedures. And I
<v Speaker 4>am not the only one who suffers from dento phobia.
<v Speaker 2>And I a lab.
<v Speaker 3>Like laying on you for a half hour. That's all
<v Speaker 3>I need, really, Bernard.
<v Speaker 4>No, I know, just cover me, don't let me see
<v Speaker 4>anything just lay on top of me.
<v Speaker 2>But no, this immediately put me at ease.
<v Speaker 4>When I was thinking about it, I was like, I
<v Speaker 4>could probably make a dentist appointment at this specific spot
<v Speaker 4>because I know that little Annie's gonna come and make
<v Speaker 4>you got to it.
<v Speaker 2>I will.
<v Speaker 1>I just saw the story this morning that you've talked
<v Speaker 1>about it, and everyone with your safe jam back.
<v Speaker 4>Well maybe they'll, you know, help me out a little
<v Speaker 4>bit since it was so nice and talked about Annie.
<v Speaker 2>The way I did.
<v Speaker 3>But I love this. It was so sweet.
<v Speaker 4>Because I know again like you guys make fun of it,
<v Speaker 4>but it really is a fear for me, Like it
<v Speaker 4>makes me of it.
<v Speaker 2>It makes me not sleep that night.
<v Speaker 3>Have I made fun of it?
<v Speaker 2>Well, I mean it sounds silly, I guess is a
<v Speaker 2>better way to put it.
<v Speaker 4>It does sound silly that I am a grown woman
<v Speaker 4>who is terrified.
<v Speaker 3>I'm glad you said it. Yeah, my mom has it.
<v Speaker 2>You get it.
<v Speaker 3>You get a little toy out of the treasure chess.
<v Speaker 2>They don't give me a toy, I asked, do they
<v Speaker 2>put you under?
<v Speaker 3>Can they put you under and give you some like.
<v Speaker 2>The monkey nose?
<v Speaker 4>I've asked for the monkey nose multiple times, I'm like,
<v Speaker 4>just put it over my face, put me out. But
<v Speaker 4>apparently that's reserve your actual surgical receidures.
<v Speaker 3>They don't do that just for I was hoping you
<v Speaker 3>could bring some back to the studio too.
<v Speaker 2>I know the monkey notes sounds fun. Huh, that's a
<v Speaker 2>good time.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, can we do That's fantastic? All right, Well, so
<v Speaker 3>I guess give this place a shit out again.
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to It's Highland's Ranch Dental Care. Highlands Ranch
<v Speaker 4>Dental Care, and Annie is the little assistant who is
<v Speaker 4>making day days better for people out there. Thank you
<v Speaker 4>any thank you a dragon or buddo?
<v Speaker 3>You got a minus, didn't you? Josh?
<v Speaker 5>I do have the minus. And this is actually kind
<v Speaker 5>of scary. So the Douglas County Sheriff's Office just conducted
<v Speaker 5>a little research project to see how well that the
<v Speaker 5>move over law is going into effect now down. This
<v Speaker 5>is all in honor of fallen Trooper Cody Donahue. The
<v Speaker 5>move over law was put into place because he was
<v Speaker 5>hitting killed on the shoulder of I twenty five and
<v Speaker 5>so there it is a law now that if you
<v Speaker 5>see a police officer conducting a stop, you have to
<v Speaker 5>get over. You have to move over and make sure
<v Speaker 5>that you're not in any lane close to him. I
<v Speaker 5>think it's anything right, any vehicle, but this is specifically
<v Speaker 5>the the being pulled over. And even if a guy
<v Speaker 5>is changing a tire or something, to get over anything,
<v Speaker 5>you have to move over. So thirty two deputies conducted
<v Speaker 5>a targeted areas like I twenty five four seventy Highway
<v Speaker 5>eighty five on Wednesday last week. And despite all the awareness,
<v Speaker 5>there are signs everywhere I see.
<v Speaker 3>All over and I twenty five move over.
<v Speaker 5>For those, seventy six violations were still put out in
<v Speaker 5>one day because people just simply are not aware of
<v Speaker 5>it yet. So that includes sixty six citations and ten warnings.
<v Speaker 5>The division Chief of Patrol, Joel White, says people are
<v Speaker 5>still unaware of it. When they were pulled over, they
<v Speaker 5>were like, I did not know that you had to
<v Speaker 5>do this still, and that's not good. If you see
<v Speaker 5>those flashing lights, I know, well, you know.
<v Speaker 3>Trying to get out of it.
<v Speaker 5>Either way, I mean, you're still getting a citation for that,
<v Speaker 5>but it is.
<v Speaker 4>Important to note that like when I'm driving and I
<v Speaker 4>see someone on the side, a lot of times it's
<v Speaker 4>you're not able to get over there's somebody on the
<v Speaker 4>writing slow down, like twenty miles you have to say
<v Speaker 4>twenty miles under if that's the case. But I mean,
<v Speaker 4>there are so many little different things to the law
<v Speaker 4>that it's I'm glad that they're.
<v Speaker 2>Announcing it again. Like, let's remember this is a law.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, you'll, yeah, if that's what he says, you're
<v Speaker 5>going seventy five eighty five miles an hour, you will
<v Speaker 5>absolutely kill someone. So yeah, like you said, Dropp, don't
<v Speaker 5>twenty miles under the speed and if you can safely get.
<v Speaker 1>A move yere we go, yea yeah, head's up everybody
<v Speaker 1>out there today. All right, here's the interesting I absolutely
<v Speaker 1>love this story because of the photos that are attached
<v Speaker 1>to it. You can go see him on our Facebook page.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy Katie and Josh Now Animal control officers near Richmond,
<v Speaker 1>Virginia shared photos of a raccoon. The raccoon broke into
<v Speaker 1>a liquor store last Friday, smashed a bunch of bottles.
<v Speaker 1>They're thinking it's hard to tell from the pictures, but
<v Speaker 1>they're thinking he then lapped up a bunch of gin
<v Speaker 1>and whiskey that fell onto the floor.
<v Speaker 2>He can't do that a little trash panda.
<v Speaker 1>So he broke into the liquor store, smashed a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of bottles, lapped it up, and got hammered. Proceeded to
<v Speaker 1>stumble around the liquor store and they found him passed
<v Speaker 1>out in the bathroom.
<v Speaker 3>We've all been there, We've all been there. The picture
<v Speaker 3>is great.
<v Speaker 1>It is one of the funniest things because it is
<v Speaker 1>just like this sterile looking liquor store bathroom. You got
<v Speaker 1>a toilet and a plunger sitting there, and right in
<v Speaker 1>the middle is a raccoon on his tummy, just completely
<v Speaker 1>sprawled out, passed out, tails straight behind him.
<v Speaker 3>Dude has had a party of the night. Pictures got
<v Speaker 3>a hangover. Believe it's on Jeremy Katie Josh. I think
<v Speaker 3>I threw it up there. Okay, yeah, you gotta go
<v Speaker 3>see the picture of the record.
<v Speaker 1>You feel bad for the little guy, but at the
<v Speaker 1>same time you're like, damn it, that's cute.
<v Speaker 3>That's really cute.
<v Speaker 1>And so they they scooped him up, they took him
<v Speaker 1>to an animal shelter, and they basically let him sleep
<v Speaker 1>it off. Do They said he has zero signs of
<v Speaker 1>energy injury, so he didn't cut himself.
<v Speaker 3>They said he's probably got a little.
<v Speaker 1>Raccoon hangover, though they described him as very intoxicated.
<v Speaker 4>When you say it, like his little arms are out,
<v Speaker 4>his legs are straight back, like he just looks like aw.
<v Speaker 3>A picture of like a college kid, you know, after
<v Speaker 3>a night a party.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, my gosh, like the girls in the club,
<v Speaker 4>that's what they look like, like the black eyes with
<v Speaker 4>their maidens up like, you know, so fun that's funny that.
<v Speaker 1>Raccoon knows how to party. You can see the pictures
<v Speaker 1>on our Facebook page. Jeremy Katie josh On Dever's Mix
