<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katie and Josh Mix one hundred and this one
<v Speaker 1>came from Candace. I like her opening line, y'all are dope. Hey, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>y'all are dope, and you're gonna love this. It's the
<v Speaker 1>same kind of thing that Katie was going on with
<v Speaker 1>her mom and aunt.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, the picture.
<v Speaker 1>Your aunt was posting bad pictures of your mom for.
<v Speaker 2>Her birthday on her birthday.
<v Speaker 1>So yes, very similar, Candace says, I'm honestly furious and
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what to do next. My mother in
<v Speaker 1>law mailed out their Christmas card last week. It's the
<v Speaker 1>big photo collage. They send it to the entire mailing list.
<v Speaker 1>I'm included in the picture, but the pictures they chose
<v Speaker 1>of me are awful. I look overweight, frumpy, tired, and
<v Speaker 1>overall terrible, just terrible. These are not pictures I would
<v Speaker 1>ever approve of, let alone want sent out to what
<v Speaker 1>feels like half of the country. What's making this worse
<v Speaker 1>is that several friends and family members who have received
<v Speaker 1>the card already have reached out asking why she would
<v Speaker 1>choose these photos of me. They've all said the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>Everyone else in the card looks great. I look like
<v Speaker 1>I was at it as an afterthought.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, I'd be so mad, a.
<v Speaker 1>Little frumpy dumpling. I'm embarrassed, I'm angry. I feel like
<v Speaker 1>she didn't even consider how I'd feel about being presented
<v Speaker 1>like that in something so public. She goes on to say,
<v Speaker 1>I've had some issues with my mother in law in
<v Speaker 1>the past, and I feel like this is her way
<v Speaker 1>of getting back at me. My question is what do
<v Speaker 1>I do JK J. Do I let it go, pretend
<v Speaker 1>it's not a big deal even though it clearly is
<v Speaker 1>to me? Or do I confront my mother in law
<v Speaker 1>and ask why she thought it was okay to use
<v Speaker 1>these pictures where I look so bad, especially knowing how
<v Speaker 1>many people would see him. She ends by saying, I'm
<v Speaker 1>genuinely pissed and need some guidance. Love you, guys, that's
<v Speaker 1>from Candace. If you've been in the situation, if you
<v Speaker 1>just want to give Candace some advice, phone lines are
<v Speaker 1>wide open. Three O three six nine one one mix
<v Speaker 1>three O three six nine one sixteen forty nine. This
<v Speaker 1>is awesome.
<v Speaker 2>I'm so mad. Is that for you? Candace?
<v Speaker 1>Mother in law sent out the Christmas card. Candace is
<v Speaker 1>in it, but she looks overweight, frumpy, tired, and overall
<v Speaker 1>just terrible. What does she do about this?
<v Speaker 3>Well, and the picture's one thing, but the dynamic with
<v Speaker 3>the mother in law, I think anyone who's had that
<v Speaker 3>can relate.
<v Speaker 2>It is, Oh, that gets frustrating.
<v Speaker 3>I used to go at it with my mother in
<v Speaker 3>law when it came to Zoe and her buying her stuff,
<v Speaker 3>because she would always buy her boy clothes and it
<v Speaker 3>would make me so mad and I would.
<v Speaker 1>Just hold up, would Zoe's a little girl and she's
<v Speaker 1>got my boy.
<v Speaker 2>This is a thing.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like sometimes people in that dynamic, the mother
<v Speaker 3>in law, they do things just to be petty because
<v Speaker 3>they can, and they want a boy too.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's because she retired and she just wanted
<v Speaker 2>to stir the pot.
<v Speaker 3>Like I think honestly, I feel like she just wanted
<v Speaker 3>to start a fight, and so I had to I
<v Speaker 3>will never forget. I had to like get in her
<v Speaker 3>kitchen a little bit. I had to be like, listen,
<v Speaker 3>I dress so wee like a girl.
<v Speaker 2>I want girl things.
<v Speaker 3>To dress her in you getting me a little you know,
<v Speaker 3>a boy's outfit is not helping me in this game.
<v Speaker 2>I had to have a conversation with her. She didn't
<v Speaker 2>like that.
<v Speaker 3>We didn't talk for like a month, but guess what
<v Speaker 3>she didn't do again. And I think that that's just
<v Speaker 3>kind of something like this, You really gotta put your
<v Speaker 3>foot down.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I'm glad you did.
<v Speaker 4>That.
<v Speaker 1>Whole scenario is so strange and funny to me telling
<v Speaker 1>you that your mom was just her mother in law
<v Speaker 1>was being a punk and buying you boy clothes. But
<v Speaker 1>it's just so strange. It's the reason this is.
<v Speaker 3>Kind of falling in those same lengths, though, is that
<v Speaker 3>she is purposely posting something that she knows is gonna
<v Speaker 3>hear it. The mother in law is doing something that
<v Speaker 3>they know is gonna set that person off. In my opinion,
<v Speaker 3>that's how it sounds.
<v Speaker 1>So you think it's personally, I think I think, what
<v Speaker 1>if Candace is overweight, frumpy, tired, and overall terrible and
<v Speaker 1>she's just now kind of realizing it by seeing these pictures.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I mean, this is just kind of
<v Speaker 1>like looking in a mirror, mate.
<v Speaker 3>I think that Candace takes plenty of pictures that look nice,
<v Speaker 3>and the mother in law went out of her way
<v Speaker 3>to find bad ones, And if she did, then that's
<v Speaker 3>a problem.
<v Speaker 2>And again it's got to be.
<v Speaker 3>Nipped in the butt early, because if it's not, then
<v Speaker 3>it's just gonna get out of hand.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, yeah, where does it end? The next thing,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you walk into her house and there's a
<v Speaker 1>giant picture of you all frumpey and ugly the entry way.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly, it's the main picture.
<v Speaker 1>Three oh three six nine one one mix three oh
<v Speaker 1>three six nine one sixteen forty nine. If you want
<v Speaker 1>to sound off about Candace's situations, phone lines are always
<v Speaker 1>wide open. We're a very accessible morning show. We would
<v Speaker 1>love to talk to some of our listeners today. Now
<v Speaker 1>here's what I would do personally, just because I'm evil,
<v Speaker 1>I would if I had not sent out my Christmas
<v Speaker 1>cards yet, I should have asked her if she had
<v Speaker 1>sent him out yet, I would create my own Christmas
<v Speaker 1>card for the season with some family colashes and photos.
<v Speaker 2>I'm petty like that. I'd do the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>And guess what I would be doing. I'd be sifting
<v Speaker 1>through my four million photos that I took throughout the year,
<v Speaker 1>and I'd be finding pictures of my mother along where
<v Speaker 1>she looks. What are the words, overweight, frumpy, tired, and
<v Speaker 1>just terrible.
<v Speaker 2>There you go. I agree. I think that's.
<v Speaker 1>That's that's that how you fight fire with fire, you
<v Speaker 1>have to. I mean, what does that just make you
<v Speaker 1>a bigger a hole essentially? Hi, Alissa, how are you? Well?
<v Speaker 1>We're all right, but ken this is passed. What are
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts for her?
<v Speaker 5>I wasn't included on the collage card as my mother
<v Speaker 5>in law didn't really like me, so I'd rather there
<v Speaker 5>be a frumpy fat picture of me then no picture
<v Speaker 5>at all?
<v Speaker 1>Was that this year's credit or not credit card? Christmas card?
<v Speaker 5>Back in the day? Rest in peace to her? But
<v Speaker 5>I was not included, and so I taped my picture
<v Speaker 5>all over her house.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I love that.
<v Speaker 5>I hit my face everywhere in the cupboards, in the bathroom,
<v Speaker 5>all over the place.
<v Speaker 2>Melissa.
<v Speaker 1>That is I love you such a power move.
<v Speaker 2>I love that.
<v Speaker 1>Are my people?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, she did like Dave, but my ex sister in
<v Speaker 5>law made that year's card and they weren't even married.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, that's crazy, all right? So what do you saying
<v Speaker 1>to Candice then this? Should she do this like a
<v Speaker 1>little petty comeback?
<v Speaker 5>I would just be happy you weren't included.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, you're part of the family, Melissa.
<v Speaker 1>You would be in our Christmas card. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>calling this morning. Have a great day you too. Damn
<v Speaker 1>I love what she did. Here is Kate, Kate, thank
<v Speaker 1>you for holding this morning. What are your thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>Candace's message?
<v Speaker 4>II.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, I'm so excited to be talking to you guys.
<v Speaker 1>So sweet. Thank you.
<v Speaker 6>Of course, family can be so tough, you know, and
<v Speaker 6>it's definitely like a lot of different ways that you
<v Speaker 6>could handle this, and hard to know exactly what to
<v Speaker 6>do without knowing every bit of the situation. But I
<v Speaker 6>would really you got to lean on your significant other,
<v Speaker 6>you know. I think my husband and I are really
<v Speaker 6>lucky to have good relationships with our in laws, but
<v Speaker 6>there's still some turbulent moments, you know, moments where maybe
<v Speaker 6>someone says something or yet you know, I think you
<v Speaker 6>really got to lean on your significant other for that
<v Speaker 6>support and to kind of stand up for you when
<v Speaker 6>maybe the in laws do something that doesn't rub you
<v Speaker 6>the right way.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'd be curious to see how long, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they've been married, how long the mother in law has
<v Speaker 1>been around, because it's like, if they've been around, she's
<v Speaker 1>been your mother in law for twenty years. I feel
<v Speaker 1>like you could speak up, no problem. Yeah, but if
<v Speaker 1>this is two three years into a marriage, you got
<v Speaker 1>to lean on the hubs.
<v Speaker 2>Right yea, you probably do want to come from them?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, yeah.
<v Speaker 6>I agree. I agree, And then I'm very much just
<v Speaker 6>kind of a turn the other cheek type of person.
<v Speaker 6>So I think what I would do is just kind
<v Speaker 6>of create this situation that you would want to have.
<v Speaker 6>I would send out my own Christmas card with the
<v Speaker 6>pictures that I wish had been included, and just kind
<v Speaker 6>of create the situation that I wish would have happened.
<v Speaker 6>I personally would not kind of throw my mother in
<v Speaker 6>law under the bus and include bad pictures of her,
<v Speaker 6>But you know I wouldn't blame you you did had.
<v Speaker 1>A bad idea. Are you calling me out right now, Kate?
<v Speaker 1>Are you getting in my kidsen? No?
<v Speaker 2>No, no, you just sound so grown up and mature.
<v Speaker 1>I know who is this person on the line who
<v Speaker 1>is so mature and wise?
<v Speaker 4>Right?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, such good thoughts.
<v Speaker 1>I love that option of just truly rising above and
<v Speaker 1>just posting the best pictures of the year of you
<v Speaker 1>on your Christmas card like this is who I am.
<v Speaker 6>No, that means a lot, and I'm again so thrilled
<v Speaker 6>to be chatting with you, guys. I I pot out
<v Speaker 6>a native. I grew up listening to the Mixed one
<v Speaker 6>hundred show and I've never called before, but it is
<v Speaker 6>so exciting to chat with you guys.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I personally can't thank you enough. I've been here forever.
<v Speaker 1>I want you to come out to our toy drive
<v Speaker 1>this Saturday. Can you make it out to Lakewood at
<v Speaker 1>roller City and come meet us?
<v Speaker 6>Oh my gosh, I would really wish. I could. You know,
<v Speaker 6>I'm off of work today. I have my off days
<v Speaker 6>on the weekdays because I work weekends, so I'll be
<v Speaker 6>at work. But I really wish it goes well for
<v Speaker 6>you guys.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you very Kate. We're gonna get to a couple
<v Speaker 1>more phone calls, but thank you for listening for so
<v Speaker 1>long and finally calling in.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, thank you, guys. I appreciate you and hope you
<v Speaker 6>have a good day.
<v Speaker 1>You too, want wish She's very wise? Hi, Jeremiah, what's up?
<v Speaker 1>What up?
<v Speaker 4>Dog?
<v Speaker 1>Oh God? What are your thoughts for Candace?
<v Speaker 4>Candace? Don't listen to listen Kate. They're lame. They're not
<v Speaker 4>having any fun, like have fun back with it, you know,
<v Speaker 4>like superimpose the worst of her. You can find card
<v Speaker 4>all right, yes, yes, I'm watching my language. Superimpose her
<v Speaker 4>into the card and maybe even you know, set her
<v Speaker 4>like I don't know, a foot away from everybody else
<v Speaker 4>when you do it, and just have fun with it,
<v Speaker 4>you know, and and send it out to everyone in
<v Speaker 4>the family.
<v Speaker 1>Damn it. You're like the total opposite of kid. This
<v Speaker 1>call to in, Jeremiah. With all the photo editing programs
<v Speaker 1>right now, you could like put like little devil horns
<v Speaker 1>on her or put a put a big old booger
<v Speaker 1>coming out.
<v Speaker 2>Of her nose.
<v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, or you could just have her doing something
<v Speaker 3>like naughty with Frosty, you know what I.
<v Speaker 1>Mean, in a fantasy here on the air.
<v Speaker 2>Get that mother in law?
<v Speaker 1>Gun, were you putting that carrot?
<v Speaker 5>Now?
<v Speaker 4>Right now?
<v Speaker 1>No, Jeremiah, this call has gone too far. It has
<v Speaker 1>gone too far.
<v Speaker 4>But I have a little fun with it.
<v Speaker 1>I do like that This will call is the total
<v Speaker 1>opposite of Cade. So you're so incredibly immature and we
<v Speaker 1>love it as well.
<v Speaker 4>Thank you for the compliment.
<v Speaker 1>You have a good day. That's a good one, all right,
<v Speaker 1>is it?
<v Speaker 6>Hello?
<v Speaker 4>Whoa?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so you heard the whole story about Candace and
<v Speaker 1>the Christmas card? Right, yeah, all right? What do you
<v Speaker 1>wanted to do about it?
<v Speaker 5>I don't like I think that Candace should like take
<v Speaker 5>her mother in law to like coffee or something and.
<v Speaker 6>Be like, hey, why did you put these mean photos
<v Speaker 6>of me in?
<v Speaker 5>And confront her?
<v Speaker 1>But don't be mean about it, because you want to
<v Speaker 1>keep that relationship. What if she does that and the
<v Speaker 1>mother in law looks her in the eye and says,
<v Speaker 1>because I don't like you.
<v Speaker 5>Oh, then you have to you have to be like, wow,
<v Speaker 5>where is that coming from? Geez?
<v Speaker 1>And then she'll say, well, I've never liked you and
<v Speaker 1>I think my son could have done way better, and
<v Speaker 1>I don't like your attitude and I think you're ugly.
<v Speaker 1>Then what do you say?
<v Speaker 5>And then I say so I then we don't need
<v Speaker 5>to talk to each other.
<v Speaker 1>And then mother in law say, fine, you're dead to me.
<v Speaker 1>I have a great Christmas. I hope you can get
<v Speaker 1>a divorce. Then what.
<v Speaker 4>Then you just leave?
<v Speaker 1>Then you bounce, then you throw puncher and leave the rubber.
<v Speaker 6>On her face and leave throw the coffee at her.
<v Speaker 1>That's what we wanted, liesel. How old are you twelve?
<v Speaker 1>So you know you're hung pretty good? With me, with
<v Speaker 1>me being silly with you, you're hung pretty well.
<v Speaker 2>That's off to you.
<v Speaker 1>Job, Thank you for calling in this morning. Have a
<v Speaker 1>good day all right, of course, thank you bye. Then
<v Speaker 1>he jump the frappuccino right on her face.
<v Speaker 2>What you wanted to keep that relationship going?
<v Speaker 1>You know? I think? Bottom line, I think Kate nailed it.
<v Speaker 1>Our first time caller, Kate right like level headed. Just
<v Speaker 1>send out a good picture of yourself, move on and just.
<v Speaker 2>Be naughty AI pictures of the mother in law.
<v Speaker 1>Don't do anything with Frosty's care.
