<v Speaker 1>Tonight was the SmackDown before Saturday Night's main event. Only
<v Speaker 1>have hours left to go before John Cena's final match,
<v Speaker 1>And actually we have a special countdown clock here. It
<v Speaker 1>is T minus twenty one hours until John Cena's final
<v Speaker 1>match on Saturday Night's main event. When I was putting
<v Speaker 1>the preview together for tonight's show, they were really promoting
<v Speaker 1>it around the idea of this being a celebration of
<v Speaker 1>John Cena's career. I was surprised how little focused there
<v Speaker 1>was on that. You had little packages and inserts here
<v Speaker 1>and there. Not that I mind it, I mean, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the show must go on, but the way they were
<v Speaker 1>promoting this, I thought we were going to get more
<v Speaker 1>on him than what we got. But before we get there,
<v Speaker 1>we had an actual show to get through. Tonight. It
<v Speaker 1>was the very middle of the road episode of SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>The major plus was the focus that we had tonight
<v Speaker 1>on a bunch of new faces, which was really by
<v Speaker 1>necessity because one of the things John Cena wanted tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>night was not just to focus on himself. He wanted
<v Speaker 1>there to be a focus on the future, right. He
<v Speaker 1>wanted there to be a focus on NXT. So because
<v Speaker 1>we have a bunch of these cross branded matches tomorrow night.
<v Speaker 1>We had some faces on the show tonight that you
<v Speaker 1>will see on Saturday Nights made Event. One of them
<v Speaker 1>is the NXT champion Oba Femi. Get used to it,
<v Speaker 1>because if these people know what they're doing, he'll be
<v Speaker 1>on Smackdad a lot sooner than maybe some people think.
<v Speaker 1>Actually SmackDown could use him right now, So with any
<v Speaker 1>hope we won't have to wait too long into twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty six to see him every Friday night, because Friday
<v Speaker 1>night is really where he should be long and be
<v Speaker 1>most effective. I think we, not the raw couldn't use him,
<v Speaker 1>but my god, if anybody can use some NXT talent
<v Speaker 1>right now, believe me, it is SmackDown, especially because tonight
<v Speaker 1>we got the official announcement which we already knew, but
<v Speaker 1>they themselves made it official that SmackDown is moving back
<v Speaker 1>to three hours on January second, the beginning of the year,
<v Speaker 1>the very first SmackDown of twenty twenty six. SmackDown moves
<v Speaker 1>back to three hours every single week, And no one
<v Speaker 1>is more depressed about this than I am. But this
<v Speaker 1>is the reality, and this is the way it's going
<v Speaker 1>to be for at least the first six months, if
<v Speaker 1>not longer. This year, we didn't get two hours of
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown back until Independence Day. Who knows how long it
<v Speaker 1>may go next year, But I can tell you one thing,
<v Speaker 1>I keep seeing these reports. I think bodyslam dot Net
<v Speaker 1>had another one today. The WWE recognizes the need for
<v Speaker 1>new faces on SmackDown. They recognize the need for changes
<v Speaker 1>on Friday nights going into this three hour era of
<v Speaker 1>the show. I feel like I've been seeing some variation
<v Speaker 1>of this report now off and on for months, and
<v Speaker 1>nothing ever seems to change. So excuse me if I
<v Speaker 1>will believe it when I see it, But if they're
<v Speaker 1>going to expand this show, for the love of God,
<v Speaker 1>we need Obafemi, We need people like Javon Evans, and
<v Speaker 1>we need more women in the women's division. For tonight,
<v Speaker 1>we had Obafemi making an appearance to confront Cody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 1>We had Javon Evans, who was in action ahead of
<v Speaker 1>his tag team match. Him and Leon Slater are in
<v Speaker 1>action on Saturday Night's main event. Tomorrow, we had Lash Legend,
<v Speaker 1>who is an official member of the SmackDown roster and
<v Speaker 1>still has some work to do, but she was a
<v Speaker 1>welcome addition to the women's roster on this show, so
<v Speaker 1>she was featured tonight as well. And of course I
<v Speaker 1>would be remiss if I didn't mention the one saving
<v Speaker 1>grace of this show, which is the United States Championship.
<v Speaker 1>It was not so much an open challenge tonight as
<v Speaker 1>much as it was just a fucking great match between
<v Speaker 1>Ilia Dragonov and Tamaso Champa where Ilia Dragonov got some
<v Speaker 1>color because these men were laying their shit in and
<v Speaker 1>I didn't even see exactly what spot had happened on.
<v Speaker 1>But Dragonov ended up bloody in this match. So whether
<v Speaker 1>it's an open challenge or not, you know, he has
<v Speaker 1>become the most reliable weekly part of the show and
<v Speaker 1>I want him to I want his reign long may
<v Speaker 1>it continue into the new year, because the minute they
<v Speaker 1>take that championship away from him, I fear for this show.
<v Speaker 1>So we got a banger of a match from him tonight.
<v Speaker 1>So it wasn't, you know, all terrible, But it was
<v Speaker 1>just a very middling show tonight that kind of fell
<v Speaker 1>off a cliff honestly, after the first i'd say hour,
<v Speaker 1>after the first forty five minutes to an hour, this
<v Speaker 1>show fell off pretty hard. We actually had a mixed
<v Speaker 1>tag team main event tonight, the Terror Twins Damian Priest
<v Speaker 1>and Rhea Ripley against Alistair Black and Zelina Vega. And uh,
<v Speaker 1>we'll talk about that match. It wasn't pretty. This is
<v Speaker 1>your SmackDown review. It is Friday Night. It is December twelfth,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty five. I am the solemn Monster, closing out
<v Speaker 1>yet another week as we head into a big night
<v Speaker 1>in a big stream Tomorrow Night. Hit that like button,
<v Speaker 1>hit that subscribe button. Super chats are. You will see
<v Speaker 1>your messages popping up here and there on screen, and
<v Speaker 1>I will be reading all the ones that came in
<v Speaker 1>a little bit later on here in the stream. Let
<v Speaker 1>me also, just for the benefit of those who don't
<v Speaker 1>already know, who haven't heard me talking about this all week,
<v Speaker 1>but we do have the farewell Tomorrow night, Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event, eight pm Eastern start on Peacock here in
<v Speaker 1>the States. I believe Netflix internationally. If I'm not mistaken.
<v Speaker 1>Once the show is over, pull on up here to
<v Speaker 1>the channel, because I'm going to have a full review
<v Speaker 1>and a full recap of all the happenings on Saturday
<v Speaker 1>Night's main event John Cena against Gun There we have
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of in interpromotional cross brand I can't even
<v Speaker 1>say interpromotional cross branded matches. Tomorrow night, we'll talk about
<v Speaker 1>it all live here on YouTube. Bring those thumbs and
<v Speaker 1>your super and everything else, and we'll talk some Saturday
<v Speaker 1>Nights main event. That will lead then into episode nine
<v Speaker 1>forty two, and I got some fun stuff planned for
<v Speaker 1>that for the podcast on Sunday. Shout out to Sidrow
<v Speaker 1>who is with us tonight? Is it YouTube or is
<v Speaker 1>it Netflix? I see. I thought it was Netflix that
<v Speaker 1>was airing it internationally, and now people are saying it's YouTube. Well,
<v Speaker 1>wherever it is, all you international folks can figure it out.
<v Speaker 1>Here in the States, it's on Peacock. The one good
<v Speaker 1>thing about that it's not on NBC, which means no
<v Speaker 1>commercials in the middle of matches. But it also shows
<v Speaker 1>you how well Saturday Night's main event must have been
<v Speaker 1>doing for NBC that they didn't even bother to wait
<v Speaker 1>until John seen his last match to try to pop
<v Speaker 1>a number before they said, Nana, we're going streaming only
<v Speaker 1>on these shows. So anyway, that's where you can catch
<v Speaker 1>it now on social media. Earlier today we got a
<v Speaker 1>video from the SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis, who had
<v Speaker 1>a message. She had a plea to one Drew McIntyre,
<v Speaker 1>the very man that he kicked out of the show
<v Speaker 1>last week, the very mad who he suspended all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, He would like to have a conversation about
<v Speaker 1>having him back. And the problem, he says, is that
<v Speaker 1>Drew has not been taking his phone calls, he has
<v Speaker 1>not been returning his text messages. So this video was
<v Speaker 1>the only way for him to get through. And so
<v Speaker 1>he has a proposition. He invited him to show up
<v Speaker 1>here on the show to try to work things out.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, we come back live backstage, Cody Rhoades crosses
<v Speaker 1>paths with all this, and now all this is claiming
<v Speaker 1>that he received a letter since then from McIntyre's attorney
<v Speaker 1>claiming unsafe working conditions, that SmackDown is an unsafe work environment.
<v Speaker 1>And he produces the letter, and Cody takes the letter
<v Speaker 1>and he crumples it up into a ball and he
<v Speaker 1>throws it away. And Cody makes his way out to
<v Speaker 1>the ring for the opening segment, so he gets his entrance.
<v Speaker 1>He comes down to the ring, and of course the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Champion like to know what people want him to
<v Speaker 1>talk about, So he tells the fans that Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 1>feels that SmackDown is an unsafe work environment. He said,
<v Speaker 1>none of the problem is McIntyre is only half in,
<v Speaker 1>which is why he's not the WWEE champion and why
<v Speaker 1>Cody doesn't sweat him. He says that he would fire
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre if he were his boss. Well, of course he
<v Speaker 1>would say that. I mean, I would do the same
<v Speaker 1>thing if I was the champion, I would fire all
<v Speaker 1>of my competition. Naturally, It's the only thing to do.
<v Speaker 1>Almost heelish, dare I say, But Cody said he can't
<v Speaker 1>fire McIntyre, he can whip his ass. That brings out
<v Speaker 1>the NXT champion, the Ruler Oba Femi getting his first
<v Speaker 1>formal entrance here on SmackDown, a scene that hopefully we
<v Speaker 1>will see a lot more of in twenty twenty six,
<v Speaker 1>and he rumbles on down to the ring. He does
<v Speaker 1>that little dance that he'd everybody's gonna get into, the
<v Speaker 1>Ruler dance, So he makes his way to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, he and Cody are wrestling Champion against Champion,
<v Speaker 1>non title on Saturday night's main event. Tomorrow. Oba tells
<v Speaker 1>Cody that he's worried about the wrong person, when the
<v Speaker 1>person he should be worried about is the man standing
<v Speaker 1>right in front of him, the NXT champion. He introduced
<v Speaker 1>himself and said that he was in the mountain that
<v Speaker 1>you cannot conquer. Oba said that everybody is talking about
<v Speaker 1>the future these days and acting like it's this far
<v Speaker 1>away thing, but he disagrees. He was knocking on Cody's
<v Speaker 1>front door and telling him that the future is now
<v Speaker 1>and he is the future. He said, your time is up,
<v Speaker 1>My time is now, and Cody said, well, that's a
<v Speaker 1>John Cena quote, and he's happy that Oba looks up
<v Speaker 1>to him. Also, Cody then remindsed Oba that he's the
<v Speaker 1>guy who beat Sena for the WWE Championship. Cody went
<v Speaker 1>to go leave, Oba, though grabbed him by the arm
<v Speaker 1>to stop him, and we ended up with a shot
<v Speaker 1>of both men staring each other down and holding up
<v Speaker 1>their respective championship belts. This was a basic segment in
<v Speaker 1>many ways and actually pretty short but effective, and I
<v Speaker 1>thought that Oba passed his first test here right. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>there was it a whole lot to The promo was
<v Speaker 1>very simple, but the one thing that was very clear
<v Speaker 1>to me from the moment they hit his music and
<v Speaker 1>he made his entrance, and just his presence in the
<v Speaker 1>ring and that little face to face with Cody, who
<v Speaker 1>was the top guy in this company. He belongs there,
<v Speaker 1>certainly doesn't look out of place. He belongs there, and
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown more so than Raw could definitely benefit from having
<v Speaker 1>him full time on the roster. Would be a very
<v Speaker 1>wise move on their part to move him as quickly
<v Speaker 1>as possible, which is why I didn't want to put
<v Speaker 1>the NXT Championship back on him in the first plays,
<v Speaker 1>because my fear was that that means he's going to
<v Speaker 1>be down there for a few more months at least.
<v Speaker 1>And then when I saw Javon Evans win the Iron
<v Speaker 1>Survivor Challenge, I said, okay, well, maybe he can win
<v Speaker 1>the championship from Oba at New Year's Evil at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of next month, and then we see Oba in
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble. Right, it's all perfect, and who knows,
<v Speaker 1>maybe we'll still see Oba in the Rumble. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what they were going for as far as having
<v Speaker 1>Javon bump up his title match to Tuesday, and then
<v Speaker 1>of course he lost when Ricky Saints cost him the title,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know what they're going to do in
<v Speaker 1>New Year's Evil. They may end up doing a triple
<v Speaker 1>threat match. Still very possible that Oba may drop the
<v Speaker 1>championship without having to take a pin. Maybe that's the idea.
<v Speaker 1>As long as we get Oba in the rumble, because
<v Speaker 1>to me, that's his entryway into the main roster, then
<v Speaker 1>I'm okay with it. And I love that we're getting
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Oba tomorrow because I think it's going to
<v Speaker 1>be a fucking killer match, and what a spotlight for
<v Speaker 1>Oba Femi, right, doesn't get any bigger than this, this
<v Speaker 1>early in his career. Right, a match on a show
<v Speaker 1>where John Cen is retiring. All eyes are going to
<v Speaker 1>be on that show tomorrow. They're going to have nineteen
<v Speaker 1>thousand people sold out in that building and you're facing
<v Speaker 1>the WWE champion. So again, in short of a WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>or like a big stadium show, really doesn't get any
<v Speaker 1>bigger than that. But I am genuinely looking forward to
<v Speaker 1>that match tomorrow. I would love to see Oba pick
<v Speaker 1>up the win. I still think that we get a
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre appearance. Maybe he wins off of a Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre distraction of some kind, but I would be very
<v Speaker 1>surprised if we do not see McIntyre rearing his head
<v Speaker 1>and showing up and playing some kind of role in
<v Speaker 1>the end of that match tomorrow. Now backstage, Ilia Dragonov
<v Speaker 1>the United States Champion. He was met by Fraxium and
<v Speaker 1>they offered to help him even the odds against Tomaso
<v Speaker 1>Champa if Jonnie Gargano and Candice Larray war to get
<v Speaker 1>involved in their match tonight. Dragonov respectfully declined the invitation,
<v Speaker 1>saying that he was going to follow John Cena's example
<v Speaker 1>and bring the fight to Champa and Diy by himself,
<v Speaker 1>and that led into the United States Championship. We had
<v Speaker 1>Ila Dragonov against Tamaso Champa, no open challenge needed this week.
<v Speaker 1>Two of them got in a pretty stiff exchange early
<v Speaker 1>on Dragonov. They'll got the better of it with a
<v Speaker 1>hard boot to the jaw. Champa then targeted the surgically
<v Speaker 1>repaired knee of Dragonov with the giant brace on its
<v Speaker 1>kind of hard to miss outside the ring. Champa barely
<v Speaker 1>avoided a running charge from Dragonov, who could not stop
<v Speaker 1>himself and he went careening into the ring steps. Champa
<v Speaker 1>then delivered a suplex that ended up with Dragonov's knee
<v Speaker 1>smashing off the top of the ring steps, and he
<v Speaker 1>shrieked in agony as they went to come chel. After
<v Speaker 1>a break, Dragonov attempted a Constantine's special, but the bum
<v Speaker 1>knee buckled at the very last second. He did manage
<v Speaker 1>to ground Champa with a leaping inziguri to the side
<v Speaker 1>of the head, and the champion then connected on two
<v Speaker 1>German supplexes. He tried to lift Champa up, he couldn't
<v Speaker 1>do it because of the knee. He did finally lift
<v Speaker 1>Champa up, though with a uranagi for a near fall,
<v Speaker 1>so Dragonov now he hobbles up to the top row,
<v Speaker 1>but takes enough time where it gives Champa a chance
<v Speaker 1>to kick him outside onto the apron. Champa then hoist
<v Speaker 1>Dragonov up. He delivers an air raid crash on the apron,
<v Speaker 1>still though not enough to put Dragonov away, so Dragonov
<v Speaker 1>comes back with a missile dropkick off the top. After
<v Speaker 1>a break, we'd come back to Champa landing an avalanche
<v Speaker 1>air raid crash only for a two count sometime just
<v Speaker 1>before I don't think it was on this spot, but
<v Speaker 1>it was sometime maybe right before Dragonov got his nose
<v Speaker 1>busted open, and Corey Grays wasn't sure if it was
<v Speaker 1>coming from his lip or his nose. It was definitely
<v Speaker 1>the nose and there was a lot of blood. He
<v Speaker 1>was bleeding all over the place. Both men got into
<v Speaker 1>it again with a battle of just brutal strikes. Champa
<v Speaker 1>targeted Dragonov's knee with a dragon screw. Ilija counted a
<v Speaker 1>German supplex by Champa and hit the torpedo Moscow. At
<v Speaker 1>this point, here comes Johnny Gargano. He runs out to
<v Speaker 1>the ring, he gets up on the apron. He's running distraction. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>on the other side, referee doesn't see that. Candice Leray
<v Speaker 1>goes after Dragonov. I think she draped him neck first
<v Speaker 1>over the top rope, and this opened Dragonov up for
<v Speaker 1>a running knee strike from Champa. And still this is
<v Speaker 1>a good near fall. It was as convincing a near
<v Speaker 1>fall as we had the entire match, and there were
<v Speaker 1>a couple of them. Not enough, though, so Dragonov kicks out.
<v Speaker 1>He fin things off after countering Champa's fairytale ending into
<v Speaker 1>a pinning combination. So it was hardly a decisive win.
<v Speaker 1>It's more like he survived it. But he does survive
<v Speaker 1>and he does retain the United States Championship. After the match,
<v Speaker 1>Gargano and Champa they attacked Dragonov until Carmelo Hayes ran
<v Speaker 1>out to make the save and got a pretty damn
<v Speaker 1>good reception for doing so. And as Diy beat a
<v Speaker 1>hasty retreat, Mellow went over to Dragonov, helped him up
<v Speaker 1>to his feet, and the two of them shared a
<v Speaker 1>moment of mutual respect. You know, just think about it.
<v Speaker 1>Had TRIPLEH been open to doing five matches instead of
<v Speaker 1>four at Survivor Series, you could have put this match
<v Speaker 1>on that show and maybe even given them another five
<v Speaker 1>minutes commercial free. Would have really enhanced the show. It
<v Speaker 1>would have helped out Survivor Series a lot. But as
<v Speaker 1>it was, we got it tonight. Excellent match, excellent hard
<v Speaker 1>hitting stuff. You could tell just by looking at Dragonov's
<v Speaker 1>face there was a lot of blood coming out of
<v Speaker 1>his nose. And another great defense. I mean, what more
<v Speaker 1>is there to say? Another great defense of the United
<v Speaker 1>States Championship. Dragonov is he's so damn good at this.
<v Speaker 1>He's just so damn good. I mean, he had those
<v Speaker 1>people biting on every near fall and the way he
<v Speaker 1>was selling the knee. You know, sometimes in his selling,
<v Speaker 1>I feel like he goes a little over the top,
<v Speaker 1>But for the most part, there's nobody else in wrestling
<v Speaker 1>right now who sells the way the Dragonov does, you know,
<v Speaker 1>whatever body part it might be, or just selling exhaustion
<v Speaker 1>from a match where even he doesn't have to go
<v Speaker 1>thirty minutes with Gunther, you know, he could have a
<v Speaker 1>competitive fifteen minute television match and by the end of it,
<v Speaker 1>even if he wins, you just look at the guy
<v Speaker 1>and he's like wearing the wounds of war on his face.
<v Speaker 1>It feels like this man has been in a battle.
<v Speaker 1>And there's not a lot of wrestlers, honestly, that I
<v Speaker 1>watch right now in either of the two main companies
<v Speaker 1>where I see someone who sells the way that he does,
<v Speaker 1>and it helps because it sets him apart from everybody else.
<v Speaker 1>It makes him unique in that way, Whereas I feel
<v Speaker 1>like if someone like him had come along thirty or
<v Speaker 1>forty years ago and was selling like that, he would
<v Speaker 1>have been one of many, and sadly he's one of
<v Speaker 1>a very select few now. But it does, I think,
<v Speaker 1>enhance his matches, and it does make him stand out
<v Speaker 1>more so, he's great and like I said, the people
<v Speaker 1>were losing their minds on some of those near falls
<v Speaker 1>that Kathy Kelly was backstage with the Bounty Boy from NXT,
<v Speaker 1>Javon Evans, who was asked about his big match tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>where he's teaming up with the TNA X Division champion
<v Speaker 1>Leon Slater. When the Miz interrupted, we've talked about the
<v Speaker 1>Jericho Vortex before, we're in the mis Vortex now. So
<v Speaker 1>Miss shows up, he complains about how he wasn't booked
<v Speaker 1>for John Seen his final show tomorrow. This led to
<v Speaker 1>Evans challenging Miz to a match for later tonight. Miz
<v Speaker 1>said that Evans won't make it to Saturday if he
<v Speaker 1>gets hurt tonight, and Evans also in this promo or
<v Speaker 1>in this segment, kept calling him unk unk. He kept
<v Speaker 1>calling him, and so this was very upsetting to the Miz.
<v Speaker 1>At the very end, he called Evans nephew. And I
<v Speaker 1>thought about it and I said, you know, Miss is
<v Speaker 1>old enough where it kind of makes sense that he
<v Speaker 1>could be his uncle, and then I got very depressed.
<v Speaker 1>So that was a match that was made for later
<v Speaker 1>in the show. Big Vantage von Evans so anytime we
<v Speaker 1>get to see him in action, it only makes the
<v Speaker 1>show better. After this, we had the entirety of the
<v Speaker 1>Wyatt six make their way out to the ring and
<v Speaker 1>we got a rare in ring. Uncle Howdie promo showed
<v Speaker 1>a replay of the brawl last week between the Wyatts
<v Speaker 1>and the MFTs, and that's the one where Solo and
<v Speaker 1>his promo had the bowl leave line. So here we go.
<v Speaker 1>Uncle Howdy is in the ring and he's going to speak.
<v Speaker 1>He talked about Solo Socoa's attempts to discredit his family,
<v Speaker 1>saying that Solo might not have the power to look
<v Speaker 1>within himself, but howd he did? He said that Soco
<v Speaker 1>is real family, talking about the original bloodline, the og
<v Speaker 1>bloodline turned their back on him because he used and
<v Speaker 1>abused those that he claimed to love. How do he
<v Speaker 1>called Solo delusional for claiming that the MFTs ran SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>because as long as the Wyatts had the tag team titles,
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs run nothing. Well, I mean, they might be
<v Speaker 1>running people off from this show. How do you then
<v Speaker 1>issue a challenge the Solo in the MFTs that if
<v Speaker 1>they wanted the titles, they should come and get them.
<v Speaker 1>There It was weird. There was a moment somewhere in
<v Speaker 1>here remember which line it was, where it actually sounded
<v Speaker 1>like Bo may have forgotten what his next line was
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be, at least it came off that way
<v Speaker 1>to me. But he got back on track. So we
<v Speaker 1>hear that Solo soco his entrance music, and they're waiting
<v Speaker 1>for the MFTs to come out, and there's no MFTs. Instead,
<v Speaker 1>they appeared on the Titan Tron or the led boards whatever,
<v Speaker 1>and it's Solo at the head of the table and
<v Speaker 1>all the MFTs are standing around him and behind him
<v Speaker 1>and no clown makeup. This week, Solo said that the
<v Speaker 1>Wyats didn't call the shots. He did. Then he said
<v Speaker 1>that they were going to do things his way and
<v Speaker 1>the Wyatts had better prepare for war, and if how
<v Speaker 1>He wants to keep his family safe, they should just
<v Speaker 1>hand over the tag team titles because if they don't,
<v Speaker 1>the only thing you can do is run. I wonder
<v Speaker 1>where he got that from. This was not good. This
<v Speaker 1>was not good. The Howdie promo was very just eh,
<v Speaker 1>it really wasn't that great. And I just don't care
<v Speaker 1>about anything involving the MFTs. There's nothing these people can
<v Speaker 1>do to get me to give a single solitary shit
<v Speaker 1>about what any of these people do on this show.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry if they do. If they if they can
<v Speaker 1>find a way, if they can find a way to
<v Speaker 1>make me care about these guys. Whoever is responsible for
<v Speaker 1>that should be promoted to head writer of this show.
<v Speaker 1>And I promise you will not be road Dog. But
<v Speaker 1>maybe there's a maybe there's a magic man somewhere behind
<v Speaker 1>the scenes who can do something, who could put together
<v Speaker 1>some sort of story or angle on this show next
<v Speaker 1>year to get me to give a single shit about
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs. That's the person who I want running this show.
<v Speaker 1>But right now I don't and I don't see that
<v Speaker 1>changing now after this, the show really fell off. After well,
<v Speaker 1>with this segment and then henceforth, this show really fell off.
<v Speaker 1>In the back, Charlotte Flair was hyping up Alexa Bliss
<v Speaker 1>for her match tonight when Rhea Ripley wandered over because
<v Speaker 1>she's in the main event tonight, she's not even on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>Rhea wanders over and says that she and EO they
<v Speaker 1>get the next shot at the women's tag team titles,
<v Speaker 1>and Bliss says that she respects them, but she and
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte are not going to step aside for anyone, and
<v Speaker 1>RHEO wished them luck in or wished her luck in
<v Speaker 1>her match tonight. After this, we got clips of various
<v Speaker 1>athletes and celebrities congratulating John Cena on his retirement. We
<v Speaker 1>heard from Tom Brady, we heard from Peyton and Eli
<v Speaker 1>Manning separately. We heard from Snoop Dog, we heard from
<v Speaker 1>Jelly Roll. Eli Manning was the best. And maybe I'm
<v Speaker 1>a little bit biased still, you know the New York
<v Speaker 1>connection here, but Eli was the best. He puts Sina over.
<v Speaker 1>He says, even though he hears he's a big fan
<v Speaker 1>of the New England Patriots. But hey, I guess no
<v Speaker 1>one's perfect, including the seven Patriots. Now see Eli's got
<v Speaker 1>the jokes. It's not just you guys in the chat. Now,
<v Speaker 1>Eli's got the jokes here. But see, that was a
<v Speaker 1>great one though, that right there, Noah, no one is
<v Speaker 1>going to be able to top that one tonight. It's
<v Speaker 1>funny because it's true eighteen and one Patriots fans eighteen
<v Speaker 1>and one we don't forget. So then we had Alexobliss
<v Speaker 1>with Charlotte Flair in her corner, taking on Lash Legend
<v Speaker 1>with Naya Jackson hers Bliss sent Legend out of the
<v Speaker 1>ring with a Hurrican rana, and then as she tried
<v Speaker 1>to leap from the apron, she got caught and she
<v Speaker 1>got tossed ribs for first onto the top of the
<v Speaker 1>timekeeper's barricade. Back inside, Bliss took a hard clothes line.
<v Speaker 1>Legend jumped up for a big splash, standing splash on
<v Speaker 1>Bliss for an earfall. Bliss got a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>an offensive flurry, and then she got caught by a
<v Speaker 1>forearm shot that Lash refers to as the Lash minute
<v Speaker 1>on the apron. Jack's tripped up Bliss, so Charlotte came
<v Speaker 1>over and got involved. She took out Naya Legend then
<v Speaker 1>headed outside. It hit Charlotte with a big boot to
<v Speaker 1>take her out of the equation in the ring. Legend
<v Speaker 1>then finished off Alexa with her Lash extension finish and
<v Speaker 1>she pinned her just like that. One two three. Lash
<v Speaker 1>is still very green. She's still putting it all together.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody can doubt her athletic ability. I mean, you heard
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole talking about it a little bit on commentary
<v Speaker 1>and the records that she set, you know, back in
<v Speaker 1>college She's gonna go far, you know. And you could
<v Speaker 1>tell they recognize that they have something special there and
<v Speaker 1>it's just a matter of bringing it out of her
<v Speaker 1>and her putting all the pieces together. It'll be a
<v Speaker 1>while yet, though, before she gets there. Alexa. You know,
<v Speaker 1>she took some hard shots here in this match. And
<v Speaker 1>I'll be honest with you, I'm watching this match, especially
<v Speaker 1>at the very beginning, and it just it looked a
<v Speaker 1>little ridiculous to me because she's just just so tiny
<v Speaker 1>compared to Lash. She's just so much bigger than her,
<v Speaker 1>and it was hard for me to just buy into.
<v Speaker 1>But it served its purpose. And what was the purpose
<v Speaker 1>of this, right What was the primary purpose of this,
<v Speaker 1>even though Charlotte and Alexa are in the hunt for
<v Speaker 1>the women's tag team titles. It was to put over
<v Speaker 1>how dominant Lash Legend is. Lash Legend is the new
<v Speaker 1>girl in town, and the objective right now is and
<v Speaker 1>should be to try to get her over as strongly
<v Speaker 1>as possible. Now, what are we seeing with Jade Cargill
<v Speaker 1>right now? Jay Cargill is the Women's I'll get to
<v Speaker 1>her in a little bit. She's the women's champion. What
<v Speaker 1>has Jade been doing since winning the title from Tiffany Stratton,
<v Speaker 1>she's been beating up people like b Fab and Meechin.
<v Speaker 1>You know what that's gonna do for Jade Cargill zero nothing.
<v Speaker 1>It's not going to do a damn thing for her.
<v Speaker 1>Because she can go around and beat up all the
<v Speaker 1>mid carters she wants to, it doesn't get her any
<v Speaker 1>more over than she already is. You can have lash
<v Speaker 1>Legend go out there, and I'm not saying you can't
<v Speaker 1>feed her people like that. I mean that's what they
<v Speaker 1>used to do back in the old days, right You
<v Speaker 1>would debut on the syndicated shows and beat up a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of jobbers and get your move over, and then
<v Speaker 1>eventually you'd graduate to the name talents. And there's nothing
<v Speaker 1>wrong with that, but that's not the way they do
<v Speaker 1>things now. But if you really want to get her over,
<v Speaker 1>you know what would be more impressive than lash Legend
<v Speaker 1>going out there and beating up Mechen. It would be
<v Speaker 1>her going in there and pinning a five time women's champion,
<v Speaker 1>which is what she did here in this match. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss has been very successful of her career on
<v Speaker 1>the main roster, and she just got played with like
<v Speaker 1>a toy in that ring and got put down one, two, three.
<v Speaker 1>That's how you start to give credibility to the new person.
<v Speaker 1>So that was the goal here, I thought. To that end,
<v Speaker 1>they accomplish what they were seeking out to do. This
<v Speaker 1>is how you make new stars, right, It's something that
<v Speaker 1>they have to do with this show, especially now that
<v Speaker 1>we're heading back to the three hour format in a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks. And frankly, even if the show wasn't going
<v Speaker 1>back to three hours, this show is in desperate need
<v Speaker 1>of a reset when it comes to the women's division, especially.
<v Speaker 1>This is the sort of thing you have to do
<v Speaker 1>to try to make new stars. But what they did
<v Speaker 1>in doing this, there's a flip side to this. They have,
<v Speaker 1>at least for the time being, taken Alexa out of
<v Speaker 1>In my opinion, they've taken Alexa out of the running
<v Speaker 1>as a potential challenger for Jade. She just went in
<v Speaker 1>there and lost pretty much clean to the new girl.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see Alexa Bliss having a very good argument
<v Speaker 1>for going in there now and challenging Jade for the championship,
<v Speaker 1>which I'm not saying that's what they were gonna do,
<v Speaker 1>But if you wanted to give her some credible challengers.
<v Speaker 1>Alexa and Charlotte are right there. They just took Alexa
<v Speaker 1>off the table as far as that goes. Although the
<v Speaker 1>match they were teasing a few weeks ago was Jade
<v Speaker 1>and Charlotte, it wasn't Jade and Alexa, but I suppose
<v Speaker 1>if they did Alexa and Jade, it would be about
<v Speaker 1>as much of a mismatch as this match was, so
<v Speaker 1>it would look just as ridiculous to be seeing the
<v Speaker 1>two of them together in the ring. After this, we
<v Speaker 1>had the miss where I'm gonna start calling him the
<v Speaker 1>gatekeeper on these shows. Right, Remember the first Ghostbusters movie,
<v Speaker 1>we had the key Master. It was the key Master
<v Speaker 1>and the gatekeeper. Right, Let's start calling Miss the gatekeeper
<v Speaker 1>who was the key master to his gatekeeper. He took
<v Speaker 1>on Javon Evans. Mis got the advantage early with a
<v Speaker 1>shoulder block, started taunting the crowd. Evans sprang up, he
<v Speaker 1>had a springboard at hurrican Raden sent Miz out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring. Miz took over after sending Evans into the
<v Speaker 1>ring post, and he had Evans trapped at a cross face
<v Speaker 1>after a commercial break, but the rookie turned that into
<v Speaker 1>a pen attempt. To escape the hold. Evans mounted a
<v Speaker 1>comeback with his rebound inziguri to Miz, but that was
<v Speaker 1>only enough for a two count. Miz started mocking John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>He did a five knuckle shuffle and then he tried
<v Speaker 1>his own version of an attitude adjustment. Evans, though, instead
<v Speaker 1>landed on his feet, or at least I mean not really.
<v Speaker 1>I mean that was the idea. Yeah, the idea is
<v Speaker 1>that he would land on his feet. Didn't really work
<v Speaker 1>out that way, but he sent Miz outside and then
<v Speaker 1>it went soaring over the top rope with a big
<v Speaker 1>dive out to the floor. Miz tried to counter an
<v Speaker 1>og cutter into a skull crushing finale that didn't work.
<v Speaker 1>Evans finally connected with the og cutter to pick up
<v Speaker 1>what Michael Cole referred to as the biggest win of
<v Speaker 1>his career. Yes, and Mis, for the record, has not
<v Speaker 1>won a singles match in all of twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 1>Perspective always very important to keep perspective on these things.
<v Speaker 1>I understand that MS is a former WWE champion, and
<v Speaker 1>I understand that Mis not only made event at a WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>but he beat John Cena at WrestleMania don't. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>don't take my word for it. Just ask him. He'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you. Right, He's had some very He's won almost
<v Speaker 1>every title there is to win in this company. Money
<v Speaker 1>in the back like, he's done a lot of stuff,
<v Speaker 1>all right. He's going to be a first ballot Hall
<v Speaker 1>of Famer when it's time for him to go in.
<v Speaker 1>And all of that being said, a win over the
<v Speaker 1>Miz in twenty twenty five means nothing. It has been
<v Speaker 1>rendered completely meaningless. You can rattle off all the accomplishments
<v Speaker 1>that you want to, no one is going to look
<v Speaker 1>at a win over the Miss these days as the
<v Speaker 1>biggest win of anyone's career. And that's just the sad
<v Speaker 1>reality of it. You are only as strong as how
<v Speaker 1>people see you today, and only as strong as how
<v Speaker 1>you are booked today, not ten years ago. That's the distinction.
<v Speaker 1>Miss is back to playing the role of gatekeeper here.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, this was fine again. It was all about
<v Speaker 1>showcasing Javon Evans for a few minutes before the bigger match,
<v Speaker 1>which is him and Leon Slater against aj Styles and
<v Speaker 1>Dragonly on Saturday Night's Made Event tomorrow. Like all these
<v Speaker 1>new players that have matches tomorrow and even Bailey and
<v Speaker 1>soul Ruka very very brief, but they did show them
<v Speaker 1>in the crowd. I mean, they didn't really do anything
<v Speaker 1>with them, but they were at least on the show.
<v Speaker 1>So it was about shining a spotlight on most of
<v Speaker 1>these new NXT faces that are going to be on
<v Speaker 1>the show tomorrow, getting them a spot on the show,
<v Speaker 1>and doing something with them that would just give them
<v Speaker 1>that little bit of momentum and just highlight to the
<v Speaker 1>audience watching at home. Hey, this is someone to pay
<v Speaker 1>attention to. That's the only reason that this match existed. Clearly,
<v Speaker 1>whatever they were planning on doing with Mizz and Carmelo Hayes,
<v Speaker 1>that has been scrapped, and you know what, it's for
<v Speaker 1>the better. It's not anything that Carmelo Hayes honestly at
<v Speaker 1>this point, not that they couldn't go out there and
<v Speaker 1>have a good match, but what is Carmelo Hayes gain
<v Speaker 1>if they would have kept that thing going and built
<v Speaker 1>to a big match, which honestly they should have done
<v Speaker 1>for as long as they were dragging that story out.
<v Speaker 1>To not do like a big blowoff match is pretty ridiculous.
<v Speaker 1>But let's be honest here, if they had done it,
<v Speaker 1>What does he really gain from it? Not mine, that's
<v Speaker 1>my point. He gained more from coming out there and
<v Speaker 1>getting a big reaction from the crowd and saving il
<v Speaker 1>Ya dragonoff and maybe eventually building to him finally winning
<v Speaker 1>the US title. That means far more than any match
<v Speaker 1>would have with the Miz, But they have very clearly
<v Speaker 1>scrapped that because they have not interacted at all or
<v Speaker 1>talked about or mentioned each other at all in weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I will say this about Javon Evans though. The height
<v Speaker 1>that he gets on some of those jumps is unbelievable,
<v Speaker 1>and I just hope he doesn't break a leg or
<v Speaker 1>an ankle one day. There was one jump or dive
<v Speaker 1>that he did tonight where as he was coming down,
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, man, he's coming down from a pretty high
<v Speaker 1>distance there. I hope he doesn't roll an ankle. He's
<v Speaker 1>got a fucking match in twenty four hours. Boy, that
<v Speaker 1>would have sucked. So that's the only thing I worry
<v Speaker 1>about with him. Sometimes he gets he gets a little
<v Speaker 1>too high in that way, but maybe he does, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. Backstage, Rhea Ripley was confronted by Naya Jacks
<v Speaker 1>and Lash Legend. We threatened to do what they did
<v Speaker 1>to Alexa Bliss to Ripley, and Ripley was unfazed by
<v Speaker 1>their threat and told them that she and EO Sky
<v Speaker 1>were gunning for the women's tag team titles. So after
<v Speaker 1>they left, Rhea spotted someone we couldn't see, and then
<v Speaker 1>the camera panned over. It was Jade Cargill. So we
<v Speaker 1>had a very brief, uncomfortable stare between these two women.
<v Speaker 1>Perhaps foreshadowing a WrestleMania match seems unlikely. It would seem
<v Speaker 1>more likely to me if Bianca could not be back
<v Speaker 1>in time for Mania, then maybe they would do Jade
<v Speaker 1>and Charlotte on that show. But you can't rule it
<v Speaker 1>out right. You can't rule out the possibility that maybe
<v Speaker 1>Riea switches brands and Ria and Jade on the table,
<v Speaker 1>maybe as a potential WrestleMania match. So no words were
<v Speaker 1>exchanged between the two of them. Instead, Jade just started
<v Speaker 1>to make her way towards the ring for her scheduled
<v Speaker 1>match with Michin, a match that never took place because
<v Speaker 1>after a break. As Michin was delivering a promo while
<v Speaker 1>walking towards the gorilla position, she was talking a big
<v Speaker 1>talk man. She was going off on Jade and talking
<v Speaker 1>about bullying I think, and all this stuff, and all
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden, out of nowhere, she gets attacked by
<v Speaker 1>Jade Cargill and put down like a geek, and Jade
<v Speaker 1>throws her into the wall in the gorilla position, and
<v Speaker 1>then she calls for her music. I should point out
<v Speaker 1>to you that Jade was not even dressed for a match.
<v Speaker 1>Her match was scheduled, but she didn't look like she
<v Speaker 1>was in her usual gear. So she gets into the
<v Speaker 1>ring and she immediately demands a microphone. She said that
<v Speaker 1>what happened to Mechen is what happens when women don't
<v Speaker 1>know their place in the back. Jade said that she's
<v Speaker 1>that bitch, But as she said the word bitch, she
<v Speaker 1>got cut off by Miechen's music. She came walking out
<v Speaker 1>licking her wounds, but she had a kendo stick. She
<v Speaker 1>was being surrounded by a bunch of officials who were
<v Speaker 1>trying to convince her to go backstage. She wouldn't have
<v Speaker 1>any of it. So Jade met her in the aisleway
<v Speaker 1>and Michen worked her over with the kendo stick. Michin
<v Speaker 1>then went under the ring and pulled out a table, which,
<v Speaker 1>of course got a pop from the crowd, but before
<v Speaker 1>she could do anything with the table, she got dropped
<v Speaker 1>with a big boot and Jade rolled her inside, and
<v Speaker 1>then Jade slides the table back under the ring. In
<v Speaker 1>the crowd booed, easy heat. You want easy heat, you
<v Speaker 1>tease the table and then you don't give it to them,
<v Speaker 1>you'll be the biggest heel in the building. So she
<v Speaker 1>gets into the ring, she no sells Michin's punches and
<v Speaker 1>then she choke slams her. And I will say the
<v Speaker 1>choke slam looked great, got some good height on it.
<v Speaker 1>And then Jade left the ring and as she was leaving,
<v Speaker 1>she's looking into the camera and she's calling for some
<v Speaker 1>real competition. Yeah, that would be nice, that would be nice.
<v Speaker 1>It was a segment that happened. That's what I wrote
<v Speaker 1>in my notes. It was a segment that happened, and
<v Speaker 1>it's not one that does anything to enhance an already
<v Speaker 1>very bare bones women's division on this show. The show
<v Speaker 1>going from two hours to three hours, I know people
<v Speaker 1>have this thought in their head that oh, this is
<v Speaker 1>going to be great because now there's going to be
<v Speaker 1>an extra hour and they can feature more people with
<v Speaker 1>that extra hour, and theoretically, sure, that's true, but adding
<v Speaker 1>an extra hour to this show is not going to
<v Speaker 1>be a cure for the disease that has afflicted this show.
<v Speaker 1>The key is to get Jade some real competition and
<v Speaker 1>at the same time start building up new faces like
<v Speaker 1>Lash Legend and others, so that three, four or five
<v Speaker 1>months from now, six months from now, we could be
<v Speaker 1>having a totally different conversation about what this women's division
<v Speaker 1>looks like on SmackDown. It is doable, it is absolutely doual,
<v Speaker 1>something they should have already done by now. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why they dragged their feet for so long that
<v Speaker 1>I have to read these stupid reports about how while
<v Speaker 1>they recognized the show was in need of what took
<v Speaker 1>them so long? Why did it take them until the
<v Speaker 1>end of the year when they're on the cusp of
<v Speaker 1>three hours to realize, oh shit, we better shore up
<v Speaker 1>this show, We better shore up this women's division. Oh yeah,
<v Speaker 1>no shit, dude, I could have told you that six
<v Speaker 1>fucking months ago. Why did they drag their feet for
<v Speaker 1>so long? Now they have no choice, But it's absolutely possible,
<v Speaker 1>it's absolutely doable that this show. You could do a
<v Speaker 1>one tot eighty just on this division alone, in a
<v Speaker 1>matter of months. Look at the SmackDown Tag Team Division
<v Speaker 1>at the beginning of the year and through much of
<v Speaker 1>the year WrestleMania, even into summer slim right, it was
<v Speaker 1>one of the hottest parts of this show. They were
<v Speaker 1>cooking with oil with those tag teams, those five or
<v Speaker 1>six teams that they had in the division. And now
<v Speaker 1>it's gone cold again in a matter of a few months.
<v Speaker 1>You can take something that's cold and heated up right right,
<v Speaker 1>You do that with a fucking microwave. You can do
<v Speaker 1>that with the SmackDown Women's division, put it in the
<v Speaker 1>microwave and heat it up. But to do that takes time.
<v Speaker 1>It's not gonna happen overnight. That's why I just cannot
<v Speaker 1>understand why it took them so long to start calling
<v Speaker 1>people up from NXTA. I mean, do you think that
<v Speaker 1>these women, that any of these people are just going
<v Speaker 1>to be over on day one? You know, not everybody
<v Speaker 1>looks like an Obafemi. It takes time. You can establish
<v Speaker 1>these people in front of the NXT audience. The main
<v Speaker 1>roster audience is a different animal, and it will take
<v Speaker 1>time for people to you know, to build equity in
<v Speaker 1>these characters on this show. This is something that should
<v Speaker 1>have started a long time ago, and they're already behind
<v Speaker 1>the eight ball on this. But Jade Cargill is the
<v Speaker 1>one that I look at on this show, and honestly,
<v Speaker 1>Stephanie on Raw is not much better. They have really
<v Speaker 1>dropped the ball on coming up with compelling challengers for
<v Speaker 1>their women's champions and they're so focused, so hyper focused
<v Speaker 1>lately on those women's tag team titles that they do
<v Speaker 1>so at the expense of their two individual titles. I
<v Speaker 1>would much rather have a strong, robust list of challengers
<v Speaker 1>for Stephanie Vquer and for Jade Cargill than worry about
<v Speaker 1>who's in contention for the fucking tag team titles. Who cares,
<v Speaker 1>Let's focus on what matters here. I understand that Bianca
<v Speaker 1>being out for so long probably fucked up a lot
<v Speaker 1>of their plans, but she's not the only person they have,
<v Speaker 1>and we still don't know when they're gonna have her back,
<v Speaker 1>so they've got to shape up real quick. But it
<v Speaker 1>takes time to really build these people up. It's terrible.
<v Speaker 1>It's just terrible how they've let this fester for so long.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't under stand it. They closed the show
<v Speaker 1>with the Terror Twins, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley taking
<v Speaker 1>on Alistair Black and Zelena Vega. Now going just by
<v Speaker 1>Zelena Black attack Priest as he you talk about a
<v Speaker 1>feud that's been going on forever, this is this is
<v Speaker 1>the case with Damian Priest and Alistair Black. And when
<v Speaker 1>they announced that Rhea Ripley was coming to smack down
<v Speaker 1>for a mixed tag with Priest to take these two on,
<v Speaker 1>it just breeked of, Okay, We've we've got to really
<v Speaker 1>try to heat this guy up. And so how do
<v Speaker 1>we heat up Damian Priest. We put him back together
<v Speaker 1>for one week with Rhea Ripley. That's that's legitimately all.
<v Speaker 1>This was Black attack Priest as he was posing on
<v Speaker 1>the top rope, so that kicked things off. Soon though,
<v Speaker 1>he found himself on the receiving end of a clothes
<v Speaker 1>line that sent him out of the ring. Priest then
<v Speaker 1>pointed towards Rhea and was going to go make a tag,
<v Speaker 1>and then Zelena jumped on his back and he just
<v Speaker 1>completely no soul this because it's like a bug on
<v Speaker 1>his back. I mean, the size difference between these two.
<v Speaker 1>So he tagged in Rhea anyway, Ripley blasted Selena with
<v Speaker 1>a clothesline, actually a series of them, followed by a
<v Speaker 1>need of the face. Zelena targeted Ripley's arm with a
<v Speaker 1>submission over in the corner coming out of a break,
<v Speaker 1>followed by a meteora from the top rope for a
<v Speaker 1>near fall. And then Zelena, I don't know, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what she was trying to do. She whiffed on
<v Speaker 1>some kind of leg scissors move that she I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what I honestly, I have no idea what she
<v Speaker 1>was attempting to do here. She opted for a DDT instead.
<v Speaker 1>Ripley got a hot tag to Priest, Zelena climbed on
<v Speaker 1>his back again. Priest ditched her, but Black took advantage
<v Speaker 1>of the distraction. He went on the offensive. Priest ended
<v Speaker 1>up in his corner and Ripley tagged herself in. So
<v Speaker 1>Black and Zelena. They end up nailing stereo moon salts
<v Speaker 1>onto their respective opponents outside on either side of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>opposite sides, and then there was a terrifying botch and
<v Speaker 1>not the only time in this match where they just
<v Speaker 1>were not operating on the same page. Rhea Ripley tried
<v Speaker 1>for riptide, Zelena ended up somehow. You know, you've all
<v Speaker 1>seen Rhea Ripley deliver riptide right where she picks the
<v Speaker 1>woman in a pump handle position and picks her up.
<v Speaker 1>In this case, she lifts up Zelena, who I guess
<v Speaker 1>was trying to counter out of this move. Zelena ends
<v Speaker 1>up on Rhea's shoulder, as if Rhea was going for
<v Speaker 1>either like a shoulder breaker or like a Ron Simmons dominator. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so just visualize that. So that's the position that she's in,
<v Speaker 1>and I can only imagine that Zelena was a tempting
<v Speaker 1>to do some sort of reverse code red. That's that's
<v Speaker 1>my best guess as to what she was attempting to
<v Speaker 1>do here, because she she goes again. I'm trying to
<v Speaker 1>describe this in a way where you can visualize this.
<v Speaker 1>Zelena goes forward, right, She's laying out across Rhea's shoulder,
<v Speaker 1>but she goes forward so behind Rhea, and I guess
<v Speaker 1>the idea is that Riea is going to go backwards
<v Speaker 1>with her. Well, the only thing is, as Zelena goes forward,
<v Speaker 1>she hasn't fully rotated yet. Riea falls backwards. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>even sure whose fault this is, to be honest with you,
<v Speaker 1>but Ria goes backwards. Zelena had not fully rotated. She
<v Speaker 1>got folded up in like horrifying fashion. So she's lucky
<v Speaker 1>she didn't break her fucking neck on this landing. The
<v Speaker 1>referee immediately, Ryan Tran immediately went over to check on
<v Speaker 1>her and make sure that she was okay. She got
<v Speaker 1>bent in half. This looked awful, but she recovered and
<v Speaker 1>she hit a proper code read for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>And again, there were multiple moments in this match where
<v Speaker 1>it was just it was a mess. This ended with
<v Speaker 1>Priest and Ripley delivering stereo razors edges to the two
<v Speaker 1>of them, and then Rhea finished off Zelena with a
<v Speaker 1>proper riptide and pinned her for the wind and then
<v Speaker 1>after it was over, the cherry on top. Michael Cole
<v Speaker 1>on commentary yells Priest and Zelena with the wind. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>actually a very appropriate piece of commentary for this main
<v Speaker 1>event here Priest and Zelena with the win. According to
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole, look, I don't want to bag on Zelena
<v Speaker 1>too much here because I know she just lost her uncle.
<v Speaker 1>She just posted it yesterday on Instagram about it a
<v Speaker 1>whole post. She was very close with him. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know exactly when he passed away, if it was within
<v Speaker 1>the last few days or a week ago, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know when it was, but she lost someone she was
<v Speaker 1>very close with. Maybe her mind was elsewhere, but the
<v Speaker 1>reality is this match was a mess. This match was
<v Speaker 1>an absolute mess. The people like seeing Priest and Rihea though,
<v Speaker 1>especially Rhea, So you know, this whole Terror Twins thing
<v Speaker 1>they mentioned coming into it. I think they were six
<v Speaker 1>and oh together in mixtag matches, So you know, that
<v Speaker 1>was a fun thing for the live crowd who got
<v Speaker 1>to see Rhea Ripley on a show that normally you
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't see her on. But to go back to Priest
<v Speaker 1>and Black, Damian Priest and Alistair Black, they have been
<v Speaker 1>feuding now for what feels like centuries in reality, it's
<v Speaker 1>been months, but they've been feuding for a while. Now
<v Speaker 1>they are in and I defy you to tell me
<v Speaker 1>I'm wrong. They are in exactly the same spot that
<v Speaker 1>they were in at the beginning of all of this,
<v Speaker 1>and Priests wasn't exactly in a great spot right. He
<v Speaker 1>has cooled off tremendously since we last saw him on
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw. They are in exactly the same spot
<v Speaker 1>they were in at the beginning of all of this.
<v Speaker 1>This program, this feud, this rivalry has not helped either
<v Speaker 1>one of them other than yes, it's gotten them on TV.
<v Speaker 1>So what what does it meant? What has Alistair Black
<v Speaker 1>really done since he came back earlier this year? What
<v Speaker 1>has Damian Priesce really done really since he got called
<v Speaker 1>over to SmackDown from Rada? SmackDown? Right? What has he
<v Speaker 1>really done that you can honestly look back on and go, boy,
<v Speaker 1>you know, that's a memorable Damian Priest moment, right, a
<v Speaker 1>few to with Drew, But like, he is not in
<v Speaker 1>a better position than he was in a year ago,
<v Speaker 1>and he's certainly not in any better of a position
<v Speaker 1>now than he was at the beginning of this feud.
<v Speaker 1>And he won the match, which would seem to put
<v Speaker 1>a period on this. I don't really see the need
<v Speaker 1>for this to continue on. This is a pretty decisive
<v Speaker 1>way in here for him and Rhea, But I don't
<v Speaker 1>see how this program has really helped either one of them. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>this is as cold as Damian Priest has felt to
<v Speaker 1>me since he joined the Judgment day him joining the
<v Speaker 1>Judgment Day was a turning point for him. Now, I
<v Speaker 1>know he did the stuff with Bad Bunny and all that,
<v Speaker 1>but like him joining the Judgment Day was the best
<v Speaker 1>thing that could have happened to him because it added
<v Speaker 1>character depth to him. And we all know how many
<v Speaker 1>segments the Judgment Day get on television every single week,
<v Speaker 1>So all those television segments and the stuff with him
<v Speaker 1>and Balor, and it's like it really was a huge
<v Speaker 1>positive for him. And this is as cold as he
<v Speaker 1>has been since before he joined. And for Black, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know what their plans are for him heading into WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>It honestly feels to me like he may not even
<v Speaker 1>get a WrestleMania match at this rate. I'm not sure.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, priest is going to get a WrestleMania match,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and we still have a few months left
<v Speaker 1>to go, but you can kind of start seeing where
<v Speaker 1>certain people may fall in, you know, in terms of
<v Speaker 1>the card. Maybe not who they're going to face, but like,
<v Speaker 1>oh yeah, I could see this person having a match,
<v Speaker 1>this person maybe being in the main event. If you
<v Speaker 1>were to ask me, what do I see Alistair Black
<v Speaker 1>doing a WrestleMania what do I see Damian Priest doing
<v Speaker 1>a WrestleMania facing each other. I don't know. Beyond that,
<v Speaker 1>I couldn't tell you. I couldn't tell you. I have
<v Speaker 1>no idea. This was a very, very middle of the
<v Speaker 1>road show here again with less focus on John Cena
<v Speaker 1>than I was expecting, given that was the main thing
<v Speaker 1>they were promoting really, you know, coming into tonight. But
<v Speaker 1>again I stand by this. The major plus was the
<v Speaker 1>focus on the newer faces, you know, Obafemi and Javon
<v Speaker 1>Evans and lash legend Ilia Dragon off Right. He may
<v Speaker 1>not be a newer face, oh he is still I
<v Speaker 1>would say he's relatively new still to SmackDown, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he's been around for a while. But he continues to
<v Speaker 1>be the MVP of this show. He has been the
<v Speaker 1>MVP of SmackDown now ever since he returned, literally the
<v Speaker 1>night he returned. Ever since then, he has been the
<v Speaker 1>MVP of this show and continues to be so. I
<v Speaker 1>liked those elements of the show tonight, and the match
<v Speaker 1>he had with Shampa was fucking great. It's been a
<v Speaker 1>while since we've seen Champa have a match that great,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like a singles match like that. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>talking to TLC match he was in because we really
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen singles Champa like the one we got from
<v Speaker 1>the NXT Black and Gold days, like Goldie and all that, like,
<v Speaker 1>he hasn't emerged on the main roster. Only now we're
<v Speaker 1>really starting to see signs of that Tamaso Champa. So
<v Speaker 1>we got to see a little bit of that tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I would like to think that this is the start
<v Speaker 1>of a pattern as far as featuring some of those
<v Speaker 1>faces we saw tonight, But the reality is, why did
<v Speaker 1>we see Obafemi tonight? Why did we see Javon Evans tonight?
<v Speaker 1>Because they have matches tomorrow. If they weren't on that
<v Speaker 1>show tomorrow, if wwe got their way, if Triple Ah
<v Speaker 1>got his wish and did what he originally wanted to do,
<v Speaker 1>which was make tomorrow entirely a tribute show to John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>we don't get Javon Evans or Obafemi on this show
<v Speaker 1>to That's the only reason we got them, and so
<v Speaker 1>I don't know when we're going to see them again.
<v Speaker 1>So for tonight, it felt great. Oh it feels fresh.
<v Speaker 1>We actually have some new faces here, but that may
<v Speaker 1>not last very long, but hopefully as they flip the
<v Speaker 1>calendar to January, we will start to see some of
<v Speaker 1>these faces a little more often because it's going to
<v Speaker 1>take time for fans to really again buy into these
<v Speaker 1>newer faces. Now is the time to start getting people
<v Speaker 1>familiar with them. We know they're going to three hours
<v Speaker 1>on January second, I am dreading it. You can make
<v Speaker 1>all the points you want to make about how this
<v Speaker 1>is going to be a good thing, because there's people
<v Speaker 1>who are sitting in the back and catering who aren't
<v Speaker 1>getting chances to be on the show.
<v Speaker 2>Whose fault is that? Whose fault is that? That's Triple
<v Speaker 2>H's fault. That's Triple H and Road Dog's fault. You
<v Speaker 2>could rotate people in and out on the two hour show.
<v Speaker 2>They choose not to do it. So sure, maybe some
<v Speaker 2>of these people will will get more screen time on
<v Speaker 2>a three hour show, but it always comes down to creative.
<v Speaker 2>You could have a five hour show. I don't want
<v Speaker 2>to give them any ideas. Now you can have a
<v Speaker 2>five hour show. It doesn't matter if the creative sucks.
<v Speaker 2>So of course I'm hoping we get to see more
<v Speaker 2>of Carmelo Hayes. I hope we get to see more
<v Speaker 2>of Ray Phoenix, who's been a ghost on this show,
<v Speaker 2>and some of the tag teams who also have seemed
<v Speaker 2>to have disappeared. You know, where's Montese Ford in the street?
<v Speaker 1>Profits? But it all comes down to creative and compelling
<v Speaker 1>matches and compelling stories. I don't really have a whole
<v Speaker 1>lot of faith and trust in the brain trust there
<v Speaker 1>right now to give that to us, because I feel
<v Speaker 1>like if they had the ability to do so, we
<v Speaker 1>would be getting it already and we're not. So I
<v Speaker 1>don't have a whole lot of faith as we go
<v Speaker 1>into this new three hour era. I'm dreading it. I
<v Speaker 1>certainly hope that they can prove me wrong, but right
<v Speaker 1>now it's like I'm counting down the weeks and just
<v Speaker 1>enjoying trying to enjoy these two hour shows while we
<v Speaker 1>still have them. Not that these shows are all that
<v Speaker 1>great every week, but man, January second, I'm just good Lord,
<v Speaker 1>three hours of this Tomorrow night is Saturday Night's main event.
<v Speaker 1>It's a very short card. Let's run through it real quick.
<v Speaker 1>We've got aj Styles and Dragon Lee taking on Javon
<v Speaker 1>Evans and Leon Slater, the TNA X Division champion. I
<v Speaker 1>am very much looking forward to This match probably the
<v Speaker 1>closest that we will get to seeing AJ Styles and
<v Speaker 1>Javon Evans or AJ Styles and Leon Slater in a
<v Speaker 1>ring together. AJ puts Slater over in a big way
<v Speaker 1>back at Slamniversary. Came out to the ring and after
<v Speaker 1>he won the championship from Moose and cut that great
<v Speaker 1>promo and put him over. So now we'll see what
<v Speaker 1>they can do in the ring tomorrow. I am expecting
<v Speaker 1>an AJ Styles dragonly win. I've seen conflicting things about
<v Speaker 1>whether or not now the tag team titles are on
<v Speaker 1>the line. I don't think they are, but I've read
<v Speaker 1>conflicting things about that, so I'm not sure. But AJ
<v Speaker 1>and Dragon Lee, either way, I think are going over
<v Speaker 1>in this match. We have Bailey against soul Ruka. Little
<v Speaker 1>a showcase match here, Wwe against NXT nothing you know,
<v Speaker 1>nothing on the line, as is the case in all
<v Speaker 1>of these matches, but it's a big spotlet on the
<v Speaker 1>NXT talents and sol Ruka is another one we talk
<v Speaker 1>about Oba and Javon. Soul Ruca is ready to be
<v Speaker 1>on TV right now. Soul Ruka would be a welcome
<v Speaker 1>addition to the SmackDown women's division that soul Snatcher is
<v Speaker 1>gonna get over on Week one. I don't think it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna take very long for her to get over with
<v Speaker 1>that move. I In this match, I think you need
<v Speaker 1>to have at least one of the NXT talents winning.
<v Speaker 1>While I would love to see Oba win, I'm going
<v Speaker 1>with sol Ruka. I think sol Ruka beats Bailey. In
<v Speaker 1>the Cody and Oba match, I'm not sure what the
<v Speaker 1>actual finish will be, but I don't see it being
<v Speaker 1>a clean, decisive finish because Drew McIntyre is going to
<v Speaker 1>get involved, So whether that results in a no contest
<v Speaker 1>or a disqualification, I'm not sure. I don't see Oba
<v Speaker 1>just straight up beating Cody. I don't think they want
<v Speaker 1>to go there, but I do think we see Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre and Opa. Frankly, Oba does not have to win.
<v Speaker 1>Opah's gonna get over just by going out there and
<v Speaker 1>having a killer match with Cody, even if it gets
<v Speaker 1>fucked up with the finish, a big night for him,
<v Speaker 1>and then in the main event, which is going on last.
<v Speaker 1>None of this bullshit about opening the show, which would
<v Speaker 1>have been ridiculous even if John Cena wanted to go
<v Speaker 1>on first. I would have overruled him and said, no,
<v Speaker 1>you're going on last. We built this whole fucking show
<v Speaker 1>around you. You're going on last. John Cena, last ever match.
<v Speaker 1>He is insistent that he will never wrestle again, and
<v Speaker 1>I believe him. I believe this is it. We will
<v Speaker 1>never see him back in the ring wrestling again. He
<v Speaker 1>takes on Gunther, the perfect final opponent for him. It's
<v Speaker 1>too bad we didn't get any sort of interaction on
<v Speaker 1>television between them in the week or two leading up
<v Speaker 1>to this match. So maybe, you know, in the vein
<v Speaker 1>of those old school Saturday night's main events where you
<v Speaker 1>would have me and Jeane in the back interviewing people
<v Speaker 1>before their match, maybe we'll get like one good spirited
<v Speaker 1>backstage John Cena promo one last time before his match tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>But this is it, and I have been saying this
<v Speaker 1>now for a few weeks. I believe that John Cena
<v Speaker 1>should win this match. I think John Cena is going
<v Speaker 1>to win this match. I am picking him to win.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's the move to make I think everything
<v Speaker 1>has been set up, like even Gunther on Monday Night
<v Speaker 1>he comes out there and he also I'll put it
<v Speaker 1>up too, since I brought it up, but he put
<v Speaker 1>that countdown clock on the screen there. It is T
<v Speaker 1>minus twenty hours to go. He had the countdown clock
<v Speaker 1>up on the screen. He was telling us about all
<v Speaker 1>the things he's going to do to John Cena on Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna wrap my arms around him. I'm gonna squeeze
<v Speaker 1>every last bit of hustle, loyalty and respect that of
<v Speaker 1>his body, and I'm gonna make him do the one
<v Speaker 1>thing he is vowed to never do. I'm gonna make
<v Speaker 1>him give up. It's like he laid it all out.
<v Speaker 1>So now I feel like if Gunther goes in there
<v Speaker 1>and just does it, I don't know what a lame
<v Speaker 1>way for John Cena his career to come to an end.
<v Speaker 1>I think for this story, it works better if the
<v Speaker 1>babyface goes over. I don't give a shit that he's
<v Speaker 1>leaving and Gunther is staying for tomorrow. I think the
<v Speaker 1>right finish is John Cena winning and then sending the
<v Speaker 1>fans home happy, giving them what they want to see
<v Speaker 1>that he can cut, you know, his postmatch promo, his
<v Speaker 1>retirement speech, and just give the fans, you know, a
<v Speaker 1>night that they can smile over and look back on
<v Speaker 1>and go. Man, this was this was great. You know,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they didn't get it right, you know for a
<v Speaker 1>lot of this retirement run, but they got it right
<v Speaker 1>at the finish. And they say, you know, it's not
<v Speaker 1>how you start, it's how you finish. So you could
<v Speaker 1>squander a lot of goodwill depending on how this match goes,
<v Speaker 1>or you can really leave the people, I think with
<v Speaker 1>a happy moment. So I'm picking John Cena to win.
<v Speaker 1>Here you go, let's take a look at the Twitter
<v Speaker 1>politic countdown off the screen there, what did you think
<v Speaker 1>of SmackDown before Saturday Night's made event? Fifty nine point
<v Speaker 1>eight percent thumbs up and forty point two percent thumbs
<v Speaker 1>down for tonight's show, And you can vote at Solo
<v Speaker 1>Monster the place to go, get into your super chats here,
<v Speaker 1>and we are currently sitting at two hundred and ninety
<v Speaker 1>three likes. That's not gonna get it done. That's not
<v Speaker 1>gonna get it done. But we always have Tomorrow Night
<v Speaker 1>for be the booker. L A Night's final match was
<v Speaker 1>on Monday's right, we should be celebrating La Night's final
<v Speaker 1>match Lakers Pads. When Sena has gun thor beat and
<v Speaker 1>Fien starts playing all right Lakers pads. I'm gonna have
<v Speaker 1>to I'm gonna have to just like ban you from
<v Speaker 1>all future streams. I don't want to hear I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to hear Fiend. I hear it on the radio.
<v Speaker 1>I turned the channel. I just I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>hear it. No Fiend Holiday says I would like to
<v Speaker 1>see Ilia keep the US title until WrestleMania, given he
<v Speaker 1>has good matches. The weekly US Open challenges won't make
<v Speaker 1>it feasible, though he's likely dropping it to boring Tomatonga
<v Speaker 1>and MFTs will hold tag in the US gold. Is
<v Speaker 1>that their great plan for when SmackDown goes to three hours?
<v Speaker 1>To just put all the gold on the MFTs because
<v Speaker 1>that'll be a great way for me to stop doing
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown streams uh Prime, dried Ribs and Chicken. After the
<v Speaker 1>Street Fighter twenty twenty six Mookie trailer came out, WWE
<v Speaker 1>and TKO could be more tempted to book a Cody
<v Speaker 1>Road's Roman Reigns three at WrestleMania forty two. You can
<v Speaker 1>book whatever they want. I think that would be stupid.
<v Speaker 1>I hope not. Obafemi is Thanos dark Side and m
<v Speaker 1>Baku of WWE. Who is m Baku? Everybody in WWE
<v Speaker 1>is too clean, polished and shiny. Everybody needs to wrestle
<v Speaker 1>in the dirt. I'm going to start calling Triple H
<v Speaker 1>mister clean. Well, he certainly looks like him Broadley seven
<v Speaker 1>aside from a few Why do the women on the
<v Speaker 1>main roster wrestle in slow motion most of the time
<v Speaker 1>compared with the fast paced women from NXT? Is it
<v Speaker 1>a producer thing? I think it is. I think it is.
<v Speaker 1>I think you could see stylistically there are changes in
<v Speaker 1>the way that some of these women wrestle. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know exactly what the reason is for it. It's possible,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they just allow them to do more things
<v Speaker 1>in NXT, and when you get to the main roster
<v Speaker 1>it's just a different beast. But I know what you're
<v Speaker 1>talking about. It's like subtle changes. But I've noticed it myself.
<v Speaker 1>Dry Chicken says Vecna from Stranger Things tells Triple H,
<v Speaker 1>it's time for Melo's push in WWE. You don't need Vecna,
<v Speaker 1>It's it's been time for a Melo push in WWE.
<v Speaker 1>Aaron says by Rent Cell, who will be the bigger star?
<v Speaker 1>Oba bron Jacob and Soul Ruka, Roxan Perez, Blake Monroe.
<v Speaker 1>I hope they all get over as big star. As
<v Speaker 1>far as the biggest star, I mean, I think bron
<v Speaker 1>Breaker is the one that they're positioning to be the
<v Speaker 1>biggest star, so probably him. And then on the women's side,
<v Speaker 1>I think man, I mean, the sky's the limit for Blake.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Mariah May is awesome. I mean, all three
<v Speaker 1>women are awesome. But I'm gonna say, of those three,
<v Speaker 1>who will end up being the bigger star, I'll say
<v Speaker 1>Soul Ruka, scum dog. Thank you for the ten no message,
<v Speaker 1>just showing some love. Prince Vegena says, for some reason,
<v Speaker 1>the h Man gives priest the win in every feud
<v Speaker 1>been in Black even drew this alistair blackfeud should have
<v Speaker 1>been wrapped up months ago. Yep. Don't really have much
<v Speaker 1>more to add on to what you said there the
<v Speaker 1>sheltered Kid. Why is Trick Williams still not called up yet?
<v Speaker 1>I have a feeling he will be on SmackDown in
<v Speaker 1>the new year, because he would fit right in there
<v Speaker 1>in that US title picture. And I even mentioned something
<v Speaker 1>about that maybe a month or two ago, or if
<v Speaker 1>Mello gets the championship. Actually, I think the way I
<v Speaker 1>presented it was in terms of these open challenges where
<v Speaker 1>Mello was going to come out to accept it, but
<v Speaker 1>he gets attacked by Trick, and Trick comes out instead
<v Speaker 1>and accepts like on his first night in Who Wins
<v Speaker 1>the t Title something like that. But you know, if
<v Speaker 1>Mellow ends up with the United States Championship, I would
<v Speaker 1>get Trick on Smack then, and you can build to
<v Speaker 1>a Mellow Trick feud over the US title. Plus then
<v Speaker 1>you get Trick and Lash Legend on the show together
<v Speaker 1>since they're an item. Actually just got engaged over Thanksgiving
<v Speaker 1>retro Koah, where does Cody get off saying that he
<v Speaker 1>would fire Drew when we saw him begging all this
<v Speaker 1>to reinstate Drew not long ago. He's a damn heel.
<v Speaker 1>There's a heel buried under there, Heart of Debonair. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Solo Monster, You're why I got into podcasts. That's awesome.
<v Speaker 1>We talk about the men's Mount Rushmore, Rock Hogan, Austin,
<v Speaker 1>et cetera. Wrestling ended today. Who was on your women's
<v Speaker 1>Mount Rushmore? I don't know. I mean, I I kind
<v Speaker 1>of hate the Mount Rushmore questions. Honestly, I mean they're
<v Speaker 1>just they're so played out. I mean, if I had
<v Speaker 1>to have some women in mind for a Mount Rushmore spot,
<v Speaker 1>I think Becky's on there, probably Trish, you know, I'm
<v Speaker 1>inclined to put Mercedes on there. And then as far
<v Speaker 1>as that fourth person is concerned, man, I'm tempted. I'm tempted.
<v Speaker 1>I'm tempted to put Oscar. I'm tempted to put Oscar
<v Speaker 1>on there. So yeah, maybe maybe some combination of those women,
<v Speaker 1>you know, but then you're leaving out people like Mayu
<v Speaker 1>Yuwatani and you're the Aja Kanan and you know, Dump
<v Speaker 1>Matsumoto and Manami Toyota. I didn't grow up watching those women,
<v Speaker 1>but I know how how great they are. How do
<v Speaker 1>you leave them off of Mount Rushmore? You know? But again,
<v Speaker 1>it's my Mount Rushmore, so it's all subjective. Christopher, you
<v Speaker 1>knew exactly what you were doing. Forgot that was the
<v Speaker 1>Kyrie super Chat. Thank you, Christopher. I'm gonna get to
<v Speaker 1>yours in a minute. And the heart of debonair. You
<v Speaker 1>made me think. It's not one of those questions you
<v Speaker 1>could just think of on the spot though. It's just
<v Speaker 1>there's been so many women over the years. Yeah, someone
<v Speaker 1>mentioned Sherry, Like I thought Sherry was great, but you know,
<v Speaker 1>in terms of like her in ring work and her accomplishments, honestly,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't hold a candle to what some of these
<v Speaker 1>women today have done over the last ten years. Now.
<v Speaker 1>If Sherry were a part of this era like prime Sherry,
<v Speaker 1>Sherry would have fucking killed it. And I think Sherry
<v Speaker 1>absolutely would have ended up in a Mount Rushmore spot.
<v Speaker 1>But she just came up at a different time where
<v Speaker 1>you know, she wrestled, but there wasn't really much of
<v Speaker 1>a division back then, and then the majority of her
<v Speaker 1>work that she's remembered for was as a manager. But
<v Speaker 1>I would be open to having Sherry on there. I
<v Speaker 1>think Cherry was like I look at her like the
<v Speaker 1>way I look at Bobby Heenan where Bobby could do
<v Speaker 1>it all. You know, Bobby could wrestle, That's how we started.
<v Speaker 1>Bobby could wrestle, Bobby could manage, he could commentate, he
<v Speaker 1>could do so many different things. And that's what Cherry was.
<v Speaker 1>Scherry could wrestle, she can manage, she could help get
<v Speaker 1>other people over. That's what she was doing with I mean,
<v Speaker 1>Sean Michaels has complimented her for that. You know, she
<v Speaker 1>was really helpful to him at a time when he
<v Speaker 1>was first coming up as a singles heel. But there
<v Speaker 1>was a reason they put her with so many different people.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they had her with Savage and Dbassi and
<v Speaker 1>Sean and because they, you know, trusted her in that spot,
<v Speaker 1>because she was a great manager. Hank says, what's the
<v Speaker 1>last WWE shirt that you bought? I bought the Cody
<v Speaker 1>Rhoades shirt a couple of years ago he came out.
<v Speaker 1>Actually it was the design I think he got sued for,
<v Speaker 1>but it had American Nightmare in it. But it's like
<v Speaker 1>the red, white and blue design with the dog has
<v Speaker 1>Pharaoh's likeness in there. I like the way that looked,
<v Speaker 1>So that would have been the last one. Holiday says,
<v Speaker 1>we're probably getting Cody against Drew for the title on
<v Speaker 1>the January second SmackDown ge if only somebody had pitched
<v Speaker 1>that very idea last week. Says it'll be a draw
<v Speaker 1>for the return of the three hour show. Hopefully Drew
<v Speaker 1>wins the belt. I talked about all this last week
<v Speaker 1>and of the two big championship matches that week. If
<v Speaker 1>we get two of them, which one I would prefer
<v Speaker 1>to see a title change in. It's Drew. I just
<v Speaker 1>don't think he could afford to go in there and
<v Speaker 1>lose again. What's the point in even doing the match
<v Speaker 1>if you run it back just for him to lose again.
<v Speaker 1>The ufman says, eighteen wins and one giant loss. Talk
<v Speaker 1>about the Patriots. I have believe it or not, I
<v Speaker 1>should have worn it on the stream tonight. I should
<v Speaker 1>have quickly. I could change out of it right now
<v Speaker 1>now that'll be for members only. I have a T
<v Speaker 1>shirt that literally just has eighteen and one on it,
<v Speaker 1>and I wore it for quite some time after that
<v Speaker 1>after that Super Bowl. Still have it. Heart of debonair
<v Speaker 1>by rewatch delete the rivalry Austin versus Rock, Taker versus Sean,
<v Speaker 1>Cody versus Roman, Well we're deleting Cody and Roman. As
<v Speaker 1>great as a was, as great as the matches were. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>you could say goodbye to Cody and Roman. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>rewatch Taker and Sean, and I'm gonna buy on Austin
<v Speaker 1>and Rock. Austin and Rock is is just an all timer,
<v Speaker 1>very entertaining super pony. If Cody loses to Oba, That
<v Speaker 1>means Drew is fucked. They ain't gonna have Cody lose
<v Speaker 1>two big matches in a row. Drew fan should be
<v Speaker 1>rooting for Cody. It's a good way to look at it.
<v Speaker 1>If you are a Drew McIntyre fan, you should be
<v Speaker 1>rooting for a Cody Rhads win or at least a
<v Speaker 1>no contest if Drew gets involved. Him losing two in
<v Speaker 1>a row is very unlikely. Yeah, Rectangled, thank you Rectangled Galaxy.
<v Speaker 1>Bobby means SmackDown Women's division needs call ups asap. Now
<v Speaker 1>that the show is going back to three hours. He
<v Speaker 1>would put it on par with Raw. Ruka and Bailey
<v Speaker 1>could kill it. We'll find out tomorrow. They're going one
<v Speaker 1>on one tomorrow. Jeremy Rose says main event was a
<v Speaker 1>bore lame finish as predictable. However, was hoping for something
<v Speaker 1>crazy like Alistair's fireball to Rhea making him Heal of
<v Speaker 1>the Year. Didn't China take a fireball to the face
<v Speaker 1>from Kane? I think she might have. Yeah. I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>they just they beat Alistair and that's it. This feud
<v Speaker 1>is over. I mean there's not much more they could
<v Speaker 1>do with it. But where do they go with Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black next. Like, given the SmackDown roster as it is,
<v Speaker 1>I can't even think of who would make sense to
<v Speaker 1>put him with. Where does he even go from here?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, Alexander. I wonder who did Julia piss
<v Speaker 1>off in the office. I don't think she pissed off anybody.
<v Speaker 1>I just think that they they don't have anything really
<v Speaker 1>worthwhile for her because to them, she's not a priority.
<v Speaker 1>They look at her and go someone looks at her
<v Speaker 1>and goes, we can't really make money off her, so
<v Speaker 1>we're not going to really focus on her. And I
<v Speaker 1>think that sucks. I think that's a mistake. Triple Ah
<v Speaker 1>needs to learn. You can't reheat the cold French fries,
<v Speaker 1>that is Damian priest. Yeah, trying to reheat French fries
<v Speaker 1>in a microwave, it's awful. The only way to do
<v Speaker 1>it is in the air fryer. You could take it
<v Speaker 1>from me. I've tried heating up French RECKSAGGI French fries
<v Speaker 1>in the microwave, But you put that shit in the
<v Speaker 1>air fryer. Come at all crispy, it's great. I think
<v Speaker 1>when I bought my air fryer last year, Like there
<v Speaker 1>are a few moments in life that I would say
<v Speaker 1>are truly life changing. That was one of them, because
<v Speaker 1>before that I just had a regular toaster of it,
<v Speaker 1>and then it shorted out and that went caput, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, oh, now I have space on the counter.
<v Speaker 1>Let me buy one of these air fryer things everybody
<v Speaker 1>talks about. And it's great. It's a game changer for sure,
<v Speaker 1>bas beer Is. I wholeheartedly sympathized with you three hour
<v Speaker 1>raws and smacked it. Well, we're not quite a three
<v Speaker 1>hours of raw yet, but it wouldn't shock me if
<v Speaker 1>it ends up going three at some point, Prince Begeta,
<v Speaker 1>if you had the pen, would you have had rye
<v Speaker 1>Back win the title in twenty twelve, and if he
<v Speaker 1>did become champion, would he have stayed in the main event?
<v Speaker 1>I would have. Yes. I would have put the on
<v Speaker 1>Ryeback when he took seeing his place in that hell
<v Speaker 1>in a cell Machigan's punk, I would have put the
<v Speaker 1>title on rye Back. He was that over at that point.
<v Speaker 1>I think you go with your hot hand. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know how long it would have lasted. Maybe rye Back
<v Speaker 1>would have continued to soar, you know, maybe he would
<v Speaker 1>have fizzled out. But Punk was in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>that four hundred and I mean it ended up being
<v Speaker 1>four hundred and thirty four days. He was in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of that run. They didn't want to do that,
<v Speaker 1>and you know we had Punk and Rock at the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble. Doesn't mean that rye Back had to hold
<v Speaker 1>the championship until then. Could have dropped it back to Punk,
<v Speaker 1>you know, a month or two later if they felt
<v Speaker 1>like it wasn't working out. But as over as he was, yes,
<v Speaker 1>believe it or not, I think I would have put
<v Speaker 1>the belt on Ryeback. I spoke a lot of weed.
<v Speaker 1>Eddie was right before my time, literally because the first
<v Speaker 1>thing I saw was Randy running Taker with the Lowrider
<v Speaker 1>and been hooked to rest ever since. Is what about you?
<v Speaker 1>You're asking me about what my like first wrestling memory was.
<v Speaker 1>They got me hooked. I mean, the first wrestling memory
<v Speaker 1>for me that had me scared to death was Randy
<v Speaker 1>Savage and Ricky Steamboat in nineteen eighty seven heading into
<v Speaker 1>Wrestle Mainty three. When Savage came off the top rope
<v Speaker 1>to the floor. Ricky was over by the metal guardrail
<v Speaker 1>and he got his throat knocked right into the guardrail,
<v Speaker 1>and he's grabbing his throat and he couldn't breathe. He's coughing,
<v Speaker 1>he's gasping for air. They ended up having to carry
<v Speaker 1>him out on a stretcher. I thought the man was dying.
<v Speaker 1>I thought I was witnessing at death in real time.
<v Speaker 1>So that would be my earliest wrestling memory. More says
<v Speaker 1>WWE is down thirty two percent from the last time
<v Speaker 1>in this venue fifty three hundred. Well, that's what happens.
<v Speaker 1>And you put together a show like the one we
<v Speaker 1>had tonight where people are like, eh, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not really all that interested in this that, and
<v Speaker 1>you're charging what you are charging for tickets. This is inevitable.
<v Speaker 1>This is what's gonna end up happening. Paul Carpenter Triple
<v Speaker 1>H two safe. We need more gimmick matches, more matches
<v Speaker 1>on ples, more main events stars, more title defenses from
<v Speaker 1>top champions on TV. I'll throw another one in there.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think we need every fucking title reign to
<v Speaker 1>be super long either. I'm not saying hot potatoes the thing,
<v Speaker 1>but I think we need fewer long title reigns. Make
<v Speaker 1>things a little more interesting, make things a little more exciting.
<v Speaker 1>Somewhere along the way, it just became how many records
<v Speaker 1>can we set? This person's been champion for X number
<v Speaker 1>of days, this person's been champion for I mean we
<v Speaker 1>had Roman reigns, right, thirteen hundred something thirteen sixty right?
<v Speaker 1>Was that? The number Athena over a thousand days is
<v Speaker 1>Ring of Honor Women's World Champion, and you could find
<v Speaker 1>other ones. Mercedes five hundred and something days is the
<v Speaker 1>TBS Champion, and before that it was Jade at five
<v Speaker 1>hundred and something days as the TBS champion, and Gunther
<v Speaker 1>six hundred and sixty six days as the Intercontinental Champion,
<v Speaker 1>and so on and so on, and it's like, fuck, man,
<v Speaker 1>like a few of them here and there, okay, but like,
<v Speaker 1>why does it feel like every title reign has to
<v Speaker 1>be super long in months and months and months? It's
<v Speaker 1>fucking boring. Where did this become the norm? Luis with
<v Speaker 1>a fifteen John Cena should have been Kurt Angle's final
<v Speaker 1>opponent when Kurt was having his retirement match. Screw Vince
<v Speaker 1>McMahon and bum ass Baron Corbyn. Oh yeah, that's right,
<v Speaker 1>Louise and Ashley, that's Also for the ten out of
<v Speaker 1>ten that we hit on the bonus goal in the chat,
<v Speaker 1>which guarantees at least one round of be the booker,
<v Speaker 1>although we are only twenty five likes away. Look at
<v Speaker 1>that from maybe a double a double? Can we make it?
<v Speaker 1>Thank you? Louise Face Verus with a pair of super
<v Speaker 1>chat says there isn't a definitive face of aw. Do
<v Speaker 1>you agree? Yeah, I mean, I would say Hangman was
<v Speaker 1>probably the closest thing. I kind of look at him
<v Speaker 1>as like the main character or at the moment, especially
<v Speaker 1>now that he lost the belt and swerve his back,
<v Speaker 1>Osprey's out, MJF has been out. There is no real
<v Speaker 1>definitive face of the company. I would agree with that. Also,
<v Speaker 1>techn the pro wrestler with the leopard head, Oh is
<v Speaker 1>that okay? Yeah? Yeah, I know him. Nick Grosso, what's
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts on Sarah Stock going scorched earth on all
<v Speaker 1>the wrestling companies? Now, I've only been keeping track of
<v Speaker 1>some of what she's saying. Look, I mean, more power
<v Speaker 1>to or if there's any truth to any of the stuff.
<v Speaker 1>But she's not exactly the greatest messenger. Given some of
<v Speaker 1>the things that she's said on social media, especially the
<v Speaker 1>things that she had to say about Amanda Huber and
<v Speaker 1>some of the insults, and then the stupid comment she
<v Speaker 1>made when somebody mentioned something about Vince and she was like,
<v Speaker 1>he didn't rape me. I don't care. He didn't rape me.
<v Speaker 1>He was good to me. Yeah, she's not exactly the
<v Speaker 1>most reliable messenger, and bass Bears says, fiend is everywhere. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>don't remind me. This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN.
<v Speaker 1>You know, in this country, it's illegal in almost every
<v Speaker 1>state to drive without car insurance, but that doesn't stop
<v Speaker 1>people from doing this very thing every single day. And
<v Speaker 1>maybe you fancy yourself a great driver with an impeccable
<v Speaker 1>driving record, but you know, there's all kinds of crazy
<v Speaker 1>people on the road these days, So why in the
<v Speaker 1>world would you ever want to take that risk. That's
<v Speaker 1>what going online is like without ExpressVPN. Every time you
<v Speaker 1>connect to an unencrypted network, whether it's in a hotel,
<v Speaker 1>at the airport or anywhere, really, just know that your
<v Speaker 1>data is not secure. Any hacker on that same network
<v Speaker 1>can easily gain access to and steal your personal data.
<v Speaker 1>And let me tell you that's a pain in the
<v Speaker 1>rear end. That you don't want to have to deal with.
<v Speaker 1>Your data is valuable too. Hackers can make up to
<v Speaker 1>one thousand dollars per person selling your personal information on
<v Speaker 1>the dark web. I mean it's called the dark web
<v Speaker 1>for a reason. You don't want your data floating around there.
<v Speaker 1>ExpressVPN stops hackers from stealing your data by creating a secure,
<v Speaker 1>encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. ExpressVPN is
<v Speaker 1>the best VPN because it's super secure. It would take
<v Speaker 1>a hacker with the supercomputer over a billion years just
<v Speaker 1>to get past EXPRESSVPNS encryption. It's also very easy to use.
<v Speaker 1>Just tab one button and you're protected. It also works
<v Speaker 1>across all of your devices, doesn't matter if it's your phone,
<v Speaker 1>your laptop, tablet, it works on all of them. And
<v Speaker 1>check this. Plans start at just three dollars and forty
<v Speaker 1>nine cents a month. That works out to just twelve
<v Speaker 1>cents a day. I was on the road in Chicago
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago, I had my ExpressVPN loaded up
<v Speaker 1>on my phone at the venue and at the hotel
<v Speaker 1>as well. You can never be too safe. My privacy
<v Speaker 1>is important, so for me, it's totally worth the very
<v Speaker 1>minimal effort involved in keeping my stuff secure. Secure your
<v Speaker 1>online data today by visiting ExpressVPN dot com slash solom
<v Speaker 1>monster that's e xp ressvpn dot com slash solo monster
<v Speaker 1>to find out how you can get up to four
<v Speaker 1>extra months ExpressVPN dot com slash slo monster. Chris Lloyd says, Hey, Solo,
<v Speaker 1>I am almost seven months sober. Well, that is very
<v Speaker 1>cool to hear. Just finished physical therapy for a ruptured
<v Speaker 1>disc in my neck. Christmas is right around the corner, guys. Well, Chris,
<v Speaker 1>that sounds very painful, so hopefully the physical therapy goes well.
<v Speaker 1>But seven months sober is awesome and long may it continue.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure that can't be easy, but you just and
<v Speaker 1>no need me to tell you this. But just one
<v Speaker 1>day at a time, one foot in front of the
<v Speaker 1>other man, that's all. That's all you need to worry about.
<v Speaker 1>But Merry Christmas and happy Holidays to you. Here's to
<v Speaker 1>a better twenty twenty six. Bay Spears. Victoria would have
<v Speaker 1>thrived today. She was great. Victoria was very good. Scumdog
<v Speaker 1>be the booker. Let's Go and Sound Up podcast was
<v Speaker 1>my number one podcast on Spotify. I got to see
<v Speaker 1>your message. Oh that's good. I'm glad. Yeah. This year
<v Speaker 1>they allowed creators or certain creators to upload like a
<v Speaker 1>short video message, and I did and they said we'll
<v Speaker 1>be back to you to let you know if it
<v Speaker 1>was approved, And they never got back to me to
<v Speaker 1>tell me if it was approved. So I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>either they're not using it, or I guess they'll use it,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't see it. So I was hoping that
<v Speaker 1>people would see it, because they never got back to
<v Speaker 1>me and told me whether or not it was accepted
<v Speaker 1>or not. Bace Verus has Seena worked with k fed
<v Speaker 1>and Travis Scott, who performed better Oh oh, Kevin Federline
<v Speaker 1>by far. He knew his role and he got a
<v Speaker 1>lot of heat. They got more out of him than
<v Speaker 1>they did Travis Scott. All they got out of Travis
<v Speaker 1>Scott was a busted ear drum for Cody Rhodes. Good job.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy Rose. Where was Orton? Thought he was coming back tonight? Now,
<v Speaker 1>Originally he was advertised for last week's back then locally
<v Speaker 1>he was advertised for that show, And now I think
<v Speaker 1>he's in Saudi Arabia, I think so. I don't even
<v Speaker 1>think he's going to be there tomorrow night unless he's
<v Speaker 1>flying right back in ke Kelsey, Kelsey Kelsey. Uncle Dave
<v Speaker 1>got back his credibility, do you agree. Look, Dave gets
<v Speaker 1>things wrong and Dave gets things right. I still think
<v Speaker 1>he gets more right than wrong. And he's gotten a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of things right over the last couple of months.
<v Speaker 1>You know, he was the one who first mentioned lash
<v Speaker 1>legend of war games. He was the one who mentioned
<v Speaker 1>Austin theory, and we'll see if that one pans out,
<v Speaker 1>you know. But he mentioned Sena and Domit Survivor series,
<v Speaker 1>and there's been a few other things also, So you know,
<v Speaker 1>he's very up and down. But I think he's more
<v Speaker 1>up than down. But you know, he makes it easy
<v Speaker 1>to mock him and just rag on him, especially when
<v Speaker 1>he's wrong. Orton's on vacation. Orton's on vacation. That's the
<v Speaker 1>longest vacation I've ever seen him. I want to go
<v Speaker 1>on that vacation. He's been on vacation for like three months.
<v Speaker 1>Was he on a cruise around the world. He was
<v Speaker 1>on vacation, But that doesn't account for the other two
<v Speaker 1>months he's been out, all right, So let me take
<v Speaker 1>a look at these member chats now, hopefully I don't
<v Speaker 1>miss anybody. Sidrow with seventeen months of membership, was trying
<v Speaker 1>to think of a bald joke, but I got nothing
<v Speaker 1>off the top of my head. And cops are investigating
<v Speaker 1>a case of stolen underwear. Suspects are being debriefed. I
<v Speaker 1>would hate to have that job. I'll let Sidrow take
<v Speaker 1>care of that. Angel Alaga, thirteen months of membership. That's awesome. Angel.
<v Speaker 1>You know it is the holiday season, so if you're
<v Speaker 1>in the spirit of gifting, you could always gift memberships
<v Speaker 1>to people on the channel as well. Don't forget High Life,
<v Speaker 1>High Life Viz Welcome to the Channel. And Dark One
<v Speaker 1>seventy seven, just stopping in to say happy holidays, solo
<v Speaker 1>enjoying the sound of you're killing it brother, Well, dark one,
<v Speaker 1>thank you. I just said Dark One in the chat. See,
<v Speaker 1>dark One's got a waste to go. Dark Ones only
<v Speaker 1>got to one month of membership, so's he's got some
<v Speaker 1>catching up to do, but he'll get there, Dark One.
<v Speaker 1>As you can see, we are enjoying the snowy holidays
<v Speaker 1>here on the Channel, so I hope you're having a
<v Speaker 1>very good month. There we go, look at that the
<v Speaker 1>Winston slip just gifted a membership and who got it?
<v Speaker 1>Sage Valiant received a gifted membership. Now, when Sage comes
<v Speaker 1>back on to the channel, if Sage is not with
<v Speaker 1>us right now live, Sage is going to see that,
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, I got a membership, and he's going
<v Speaker 1>to have the Winston slip to thank for it. The
<v Speaker 1>Winston slip also says my first SmackDown, Big show through Mankind,
<v Speaker 1>Mankind in a grave. Dude, I remember exactly the match
<v Speaker 1>you're talking about. It's still one of the craziest things
<v Speaker 1>I've ever seen. That was the only tag team buried
<v Speaker 1>a live match, might have been the only buried a
<v Speaker 1>live match we ever had on TV. I'll never forget that.
<v Speaker 1>That's like the old school SmackDown stage with the ovaltron,
<v Speaker 1>and there was some distance from the stage to the grave,
<v Speaker 1>like that mound of dirt and fucking big show Man.
<v Speaker 1>He just like projectile through and Folly is no small man,
<v Speaker 1>and he just threw Mankind from the stage. He lands
<v Speaker 1>on the mound of dirt like on the grave. He bounced, dude,
<v Speaker 1>he bounced one hot into the grave. One of the
<v Speaker 1>coolest things I've ever seen. Oh, look at scummed just
<v Speaker 1>gifted five channel memberships. Five of them he won Uped
<v Speaker 1>Winston by four, Rectangled Galaxy Punch, mclightning, Sarah Duffs, Vid Stuffs, VIDs,
<v Speaker 1>Thought does Visits already a member and Shutterbug fan. Look
<v Speaker 1>at that. Oh there's Sage Stages here, Sages with us.
<v Speaker 1>Sage is grateful. I didn't know if Sage was with us.
<v Speaker 1>Look at that. Sage valiant says, I am grateful, scum Doug.
<v Speaker 1>That's very kind of you. Five gifted memberships. What's a
<v Speaker 1>membership gift? Well, it's exactly what it sounds like. You
<v Speaker 1>can buy a membership for yourself or if you want
<v Speaker 1>to gift them to people. They were a signed randomly,
<v Speaker 1>but you should be able to There should be one
<v Speaker 1>of the yeah, one of the buttons on the side there,
<v Speaker 1>and you can give memberships to as many people as
<v Speaker 1>you would like. That's how it works. Yeah, Mick broke
<v Speaker 1>ribs on that bump. He mentioned it at one of
<v Speaker 1>his I could see why the way he landed. Surprised
<v Speaker 1>he didn't break multiple ribs. It's a crazy I mean
<v Speaker 1>he's taken crazy ass bumps his entire career, but I
<v Speaker 1>mean that one was nuts. All right, We hit ten
<v Speaker 1>out of ten on the bonus goal, and we are
<v Speaker 1>currently at four hundred and sixteen likes, which means that
<v Speaker 1>you guys are getting a double B the booker man.
<v Speaker 1>I thought we were going to have to wait until
<v Speaker 1>Saturday Night's made event for that. But you may get
<v Speaker 1>back to back nights. If you guys show up and
<v Speaker 1>show out tomorrow like I think you will, we may
<v Speaker 1>get back to back knights of double be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>So let's do it, ladies and gentlemen, it is now
<v Speaker 1>time to be the booker. Let's do it. You know
<v Speaker 1>it's a good night when we get two rounds of
<v Speaker 1>be the Booker. Rectangle wants to know curious on the
<v Speaker 1>Cody versus orton who should be the face and who
<v Speaker 1>should be the heel. I think it would be actually
<v Speaker 1>more interesting if Cody was the heel and Randy was
<v Speaker 1>the face, just because most people were assuming the opposite,
<v Speaker 1>or maybe if they could find a way to do it. See,
<v Speaker 1>but this would be like this would be like long
<v Speaker 1>term booking here if you put the two of them
<v Speaker 1>together as both babyfaces to have like a match or
<v Speaker 1>initially a match for the Championship, but then have Cody
<v Speaker 1>go Heel, and then Cody becomes the Heel Andy Stay's babyface,
<v Speaker 1>and then you have like a whole program out of it.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like to me that would be more interesting.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we begin with Solo Monster's favorite tag team
<v Speaker 1>of all time, them and the Heart Foundation. They're right there,
<v Speaker 1>Demolition Acts and Smash if there's any justice in this world.
<v Speaker 1>They will be part of the twenty twenty six WWE
<v Speaker 1>Hall of Fame class, and Demolition will be taking on
<v Speaker 1>the team of Hangman, Adam Page and Kenny Omega. Two
<v Speaker 1>generations locking up Man Demolition, Hangman and Omega. That's the
<v Speaker 1>main event on any show. Right there, I'll close my
<v Speaker 1>show with that instant bell. That's what that is. That
<v Speaker 1>is an instant bell. All right, women's be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>We have Piper Niven unfortunately out with a neck injury
<v Speaker 1>right now, but Piper Niven is with us. That was
<v Speaker 1>from her Do Drop days, don't you remember Do Drop? Everybody?
<v Speaker 1>Piper Niven and Carmela not really feeling it. I mean
<v Speaker 1>we just went from Demolition against Kenny Omega and Hangman
<v Speaker 1>Page to this, so it doesn't really entice me. Our
<v Speaker 1>first of two main events tonight. Well, this man is
<v Speaker 1>not going to be any other place on the card.
<v Speaker 1>It's in his contract. Hollywood Hulk Hogan is in the
<v Speaker 1>main event. Where else would he be. You think he's
<v Speaker 1>gonna curtain jerk. Hollywood Hogan is in the main events
<v Speaker 1>here in b the booker, and Hollywood Hogan is taking
<v Speaker 1>on Yokozuna, two heels, Hollywood Hogan and yoko Zuna. And
<v Speaker 1>you guys are gonna think I'm crazy. I am giving
<v Speaker 1>that the buzz. I don't think that's gonna work. You know,
<v Speaker 1>there was always a rumor that Hogan tried to get
<v Speaker 1>Yokozuna into WCW. You know exactly why he wanted to
<v Speaker 1>get Yokozuna into WCW. To get his wind back, to
<v Speaker 1>get his wind back. You ain't getting your wind back
<v Speaker 1>on my dime, Hogan, that ain't gonna happen. I am
<v Speaker 1>depriving you of getting your win back. You lost, Alcimenia
<v Speaker 1>got squashed. Now we move on to round ten. Not
<v Speaker 1>on my watch, it's not happening. That don't work for me.
<v Speaker 1>That's right. Well, now we got some stipulations to pick
<v Speaker 1>here for round number two. All right, We're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>ourselves a good old fashioned dog collar match. These things
<v Speaker 1>can get very violent and very bloody. In fact, in
<v Speaker 1>this match here with Piper and Valentine, Piper had his
<v Speaker 1>ear drum busted by one of the chain shots. So
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna get violent. Now. I don't know about doing
<v Speaker 1>a tag match, so why don't we mean, do we
<v Speaker 1>do a women's dog collar match. We'll do a women's
<v Speaker 1>dog collar match. You'll see those too often. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think I've ever seen one. Step right here and be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker women's dog collar match with Becky Lynch. I
<v Speaker 1>mentioned Becky Lynch. She would be on my Mount Rushmore
<v Speaker 1>for the ladies. Becky Lynch. I'm gonna put that dog
<v Speaker 1>collar around her neck. And who's she going to be
<v Speaker 1>attached to? Uh oh, this is not gonna add well
<v Speaker 1>for Becky Lynch. Amazing Kanan, Awesome Kan Karma. She's had
<v Speaker 1>many names over the years, Awesome Kong and Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 1>and a dog collar match, though, I mean, that's that's
<v Speaker 1>a pretty good pick. That's a pretty good pick right there.
<v Speaker 1>And you know we should have had Awesome Cong and
<v Speaker 1>Gail Kim in a dog collar match. See now that
<v Speaker 1>that would have been something you have. Rest in peace, Becky.
<v Speaker 1>This is probably the end of Becky Lynch. We do
<v Speaker 1>this match, all right, We got ourselves a tag team
<v Speaker 1>loser leaves Town match. One of these teams is gone.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I might even have to remove them, legitimately
<v Speaker 1>remove them from Be the Booker if they lose. Although
<v Speaker 1>who's losing. We have to figure out who wins and
<v Speaker 1>who loses. All right, let's see loser Leaves Town tag
<v Speaker 1>team style. We have the natural disasters earthquake and typhoon.
<v Speaker 1>What do you think their combined weight was at that time.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna say this was a total combined weight of
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred thirty one pounds. That's what I'm gonna say.
<v Speaker 1>All right, loser leaves town. Man, someone's staying, someone's going.
<v Speaker 1>Oh I know who's going. I know exactly who's going.
<v Speaker 1>That's it. We'm gonna write this down right now. Best friends,
<v Speaker 1>best friends. There you go, best friends are gone from
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker. They're gone. They lost, they lose the match. Hey, look,
<v Speaker 1>stipulations matter. There are consequences to these stipulations. Say goodbye
<v Speaker 1>to best friends, and now we get to our main event.
<v Speaker 1>They shall be removed kennel from Hell. Oh come on, now,
<v Speaker 1>we can't do can't we can't do this. We we
<v Speaker 1>actually just had a Kennel from Hell match like two
<v Speaker 1>weeks ago. But those are the rules. Nothing I can
<v Speaker 1>do about it. We have a Kennel from Hell main event.
<v Speaker 1>This is gonna have to be one hell of a
<v Speaker 1>match for me to give this the bell. My finger
<v Speaker 1>is itching already to touch the buzzer. Oh, I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>he's going to enjoy this. I'm sure he's going to
<v Speaker 1>enjoy this greatly. Jim Cornett actually, that's the look that
<v Speaker 1>he had on his face when he found out that
<v Speaker 1>he is going to be in a Kennel from Hell match,
<v Speaker 1>which is a Russo special. By the way, I should
<v Speaker 1>say that Vince Russo has struck again, and of all people,
<v Speaker 1>he has chosen Jim Cornett to be in this Kennel
<v Speaker 1>from Hell match. You know Russo is in here. It'd
<v Speaker 1>be kind of funny if you land on him. Kenny
<v Speaker 1>Omega will be wrestling Jim Cornett in a Kennel from
<v Speaker 1>Hell match. I have to see this match. Twinkle toes
<v Speaker 1>mcfingerbang is going to be wrestling Jim Cornett in a
<v Speaker 1>Kennel from Hell match. I would pay pretty decent money
<v Speaker 1>actually to see this match. And the question really isn't
<v Speaker 1>so much what is Kenny Omega going to do to
<v Speaker 1>Jim Cornett. The question is really what is Jim Cornett
<v Speaker 1>going to do to Kenny Omega in this match? Dave
<v Speaker 1>will give it five stars? Dude. I think Dave might
<v Speaker 1>be in Kenny corner. He may be managing him for
<v Speaker 1>this match. Don Kallus interferes and Jim wins, Oh, I'd
<v Speaker 1>picked Cornet to go over here. You know, when a
<v Speaker 1>Kennel from Hell, there's no rule against bringing a tennis
<v Speaker 1>racket in there. I love it. See, this is the
<v Speaker 1>kind of thing you never know what you're gonna get.
<v Speaker 1>And be the booker. Kenny Omega against Jim Cornett in
<v Speaker 1>a cage. I'm sure Jim Cornett would love to get
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega in a cage. He would love to end
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega in a cage. What a match, that's right,
<v Speaker 1>be the booker classic. You got a classic main event
<v Speaker 1>and you got the dogs outside running around, right. I'm
<v Speaker 1>glad we stuck with the stipulation. The promo Cornett would
<v Speaker 1>cut would be epic. Oh yeah, the pre match promo,
<v Speaker 1>the postmatch promo telling you may he's got that racket,
<v Speaker 1>you can't count him out. Well, look, bring that same
<v Speaker 1>energy tomorrow and we get to run it back, and
<v Speaker 1>we get to pick a whole new spate of matches,
<v Speaker 1>because tomorrow night, I'm gonna be live with you right
<v Speaker 1>here on this very channel talking John Cena's farewell. Full
<v Speaker 1>review of Saturday night's main event. As soon as the
<v Speaker 1>show is over. It's an eight o'clock start. Usually they
<v Speaker 1>are about two hours, but apparently they can go as
<v Speaker 1>long as they want, so I've seen it does a
<v Speaker 1>big long speech after the match. There's no telling. It
<v Speaker 1>could be two and a half hours, it could be
<v Speaker 1>three hours, but I would suspect by about eleven o'clock
<v Speaker 1>is when I'll be live here on the channel, So
<v Speaker 1>come join me then. I haven't stopped laughing yet. The
<v Speaker 1>Observer posted a clip on Twitter of them confirming that
<v Speaker 1>Sena versus Gunther was going on first tomorrow. I quote
<v Speaker 1>tweeted and posted a lengthy rant. Yeah, they are not
<v Speaker 1>going on first. I can believe that they were deciding
<v Speaker 1>on what the order was going to be, and then
<v Speaker 1>they ultimately decided on them going last. But honestly, it
<v Speaker 1>never should have been a thing to even consider that
<v Speaker 1>match has to go on last. That's it. The whole
<v Speaker 1>show was based around that match. I mean, this is
<v Speaker 1>just it's ridiculous. I saw people going, oh, you know,
<v Speaker 1>back in the old days of Saturday Night's main events,
<v Speaker 1>sometimes they put the main event on first. Yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>well aware of that. They used to do that on
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw too in the early days. The difference,
<v Speaker 1>of course, is that most of the people that are
<v Speaker 1>going to be in the building tomorrow and watching at
<v Speaker 1>home on Peacock are watching to see John Cena's final match.
<v Speaker 1>So if John Cena was true to his word it
<v Speaker 1>really wanted a spotlight on the NXT talents, the last
<v Speaker 1>thing he would do is give people a reason to
<v Speaker 1>tune out when his match is over. Like that just
<v Speaker 1>never made any sense to me. So thankfully they are
<v Speaker 1>going on last. What do I think the order is
<v Speaker 1>going to be If I was laying out this show,
<v Speaker 1>if I was booking this show, I am putting that's
<v Speaker 1>a good question. I think that what I would do
<v Speaker 1>is I would go Sina, I'm sorry, Sina, Cody and Oba.
<v Speaker 1>I would open with Cody and Oba, and then from
<v Speaker 1>there I would go to the tag team match, and
<v Speaker 1>then you do Bailey and Soul Ruka, and then you
<v Speaker 1>do Sena and Gunther. That's how the match order would go.
<v Speaker 1>So we'll all find out tomorrow. Yeah, I mean Saturday
<v Speaker 1>Night's made event back then, you want to go back
<v Speaker 1>to the beginning days on NBC. I mean it was
<v Speaker 1>it was on whenever Saturday Nights or Saturday Night Live
<v Speaker 1>was preempted, so those shows were starting at eleven thirty,
<v Speaker 1>and the numbers those early shows did were sick. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it would do really good numbers. Of course, none better
<v Speaker 1>than the show which technically wasn't Saturday Night's main event.
<v Speaker 1>Pretty sure, it was a Friday, so they called it
<v Speaker 1>the main event. But the one where Andre beat Hogan
<v Speaker 1>to win the title in eighty eight. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if the entire show did this, but their match right,
<v Speaker 1>parts of the show had as many as thirty three
<v Speaker 1>million people. Think about that. Thirty three million people watched
<v Speaker 1>at least a part of that show that night. That
<v Speaker 1>is insane. So numbers that just will never be matched.
<v Speaker 1>It's not possible. How do you even measure it today,
<v Speaker 1>you know, because everything is clipped and posted on TikTok
<v Speaker 1>and Instagram and everything, and so yeah, I mean there
<v Speaker 1>are things on social media that I'll get fifty million views,
<v Speaker 1>but like, how do you really measure that shit? Today?
<v Speaker 1>Everything is so fragmented. That's what makes it more impressive.
<v Speaker 1>Back then, it was just NBC. That was it. That
<v Speaker 1>was it. There was no other network that it was
<v Speaker 1>airing on. At the same time, there was no streaming.
<v Speaker 1>Thirty three million people to watch Andre the Giant beat
<v Speaker 1>Hogan and win the championship and end a four year
<v Speaker 1>title run with a hip toss. Called it a suplex,
<v Speaker 1>but it was a hip toss bp LB punk or
<v Speaker 1>we could do bp unk right like missus Javon's unc copy.
<v Speaker 1>This be the Booker, So I can ask JD about
<v Speaker 1>it on TNT. Well, I mean, you saw the matches.
<v Speaker 1>You can just bring it up yourself. Just write down
<v Speaker 1>what the matches were retro Koah Buyer sell, Corny versus
<v Speaker 1>Kenny in the kennel or Solemn Monster against Khali in
<v Speaker 1>the Punjabi prison. I think we would go Corny and
<v Speaker 1>Kenny in the kennel. I don't think anybody wants to
<v Speaker 1>see Solomn Monster against Khali in the Punjabi prison. That
<v Speaker 1>was a horrific draw on be the booker that time. Yes.
<v Speaker 1>Then Andre gave Andre gave a great postmatch interview where
<v Speaker 1>he told me and g and I surrender the tag
<v Speaker 1>team championship to te Dbasse. I go what the tag team? What?
<v Speaker 1>That doesn't look like the tag team title? Oh? And
<v Speaker 1>then Hogan pressed Earl Hebner over his head on Earl's
<v Speaker 1>first night when they did the twin Hebner angle and
<v Speaker 1>he got a running start, he threw him out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring and threw him right over Andre and Dbass
<v Speaker 1>in Virgil's heads and I think he I think he
<v Speaker 1>got injured. And then Hogan whined and cried about the
<v Speaker 1>plastic surgery. Look at the money falling out of his pocket. Eh. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he did that a lot in his career. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>really Yeah, I look back on it now, But like
<v Speaker 1>Hogan did a lot of crying during his career. He
<v Speaker 1>cried when he lost the title in eighty eight, right,
<v Speaker 1>he cried and moaned about SIT eliminating him from the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble, which was completely legal, nothing wrong with it.
<v Speaker 1>Pulled him out of the ring too, gave Rick Flair
<v Speaker 1>the win. If I can't win, nobody can. Always said
<v Speaker 1>Hogan was a heel. He was a heel masquerading as
<v Speaker 1>a babyface. I said it for years. I just didn't
<v Speaker 1>realize it when I was a kid. Be well, stay safe,
<v Speaker 1>and I will see you for the Saturday Night's main
<v Speaker 1>event review tomorrow. Until then, take care, guys,
