<v Speaker 1>Jerry Katy and Josh Mix one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Let's talk about the vision boards stuff. Okay, I'm kind
<v Speaker 2>of calling BS on what you're doing, but why don't
<v Speaker 2>you explain everybody what you're doing.
<v Speaker 3>No, first of all, it's Douglas County Libraries and I
<v Speaker 3>love all these different, like outside the box things that
<v Speaker 3>they do, and so this is going to be a women.
<v Speaker 2>Well, no, it's.
<v Speaker 3>Gonna be the library. And that's the thing is, like
<v Speaker 3>they like to get people in the building in a
<v Speaker 3>lot of different ways. So this thing is just the
<v Speaker 3>in person event all about creating vision boards that are
<v Speaker 3>gonna light up our wellness and life goals. So it's
<v Speaker 3>also including the journaling, but it's really to just kind
<v Speaker 3>of motivate that clarity for us. So, uh, it's twenty
<v Speaker 3>five bucks for us to get in there and create
<v Speaker 3>our vision boards and they're gonna have niblis and some
<v Speaker 3>drinks as well. So I'm pretty excited about it. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>I'd like to get into this mindset. I am definitely
<v Speaker 3>a believer in positive thinking. This is along those realms,
<v Speaker 3>and I just I'm doing it with a I feel
<v Speaker 3>like we're both kind of in the same boat of
<v Speaker 3>wanting positive things to happen. But we're both guilty at
<v Speaker 3>least these last couple of years of not like spearheading
<v Speaker 3>it right, we're like, good things will happen.
<v Speaker 2>It's fine.
<v Speaker 3>I'm gonna sit in my apartment every single day. So
<v Speaker 3>this is our way of getting out there, meeting other
<v Speaker 3>people who are like minded and doing things that are
<v Speaker 3>gonna benefit us. So that's why I like it. I
<v Speaker 3>like the idea of vision boards because you know how
<v Speaker 3>I feel about manifestation, all about this is that same
<v Speaker 3>kind of thing. You know, you see it, you believe it,
<v Speaker 3>you can make it come true. That's why I thought
<v Speaker 3>much Did.
<v Speaker 2>This cost you twenty five bucks? Bucks? And it's got
<v Speaker 2>Nibleys and yeah good, yes, Actually I have nibble on
<v Speaker 2>my vision.
<v Speaker 4>See uh.
<v Speaker 2>So when you provide you the board, you have to
<v Speaker 2>bring it.
<v Speaker 3>All the supplies and everything that they have. They have
<v Speaker 3>everything there exactly, all the magazines that you're gonna cut,
<v Speaker 3>the pictures, glitter, I'm sure felt numbers will be that's vision.
<v Speaker 2>They give you command strips for the back of the
<v Speaker 2>poster boards. You can stick it on your.
<v Speaker 3>Water Yeah yeah, I'm all of these things.
<v Speaker 2>Are you allowed to bring in your own items that
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna put on your vision board or do you
<v Speaker 2>have to use their stuff?
<v Speaker 3>I'm not sure, but I don't see why they wouldn't
<v Speaker 3>let you.
<v Speaker 2>Probably I would think it could bring your own vision.
<v Speaker 3>Bring your own vision. Yeah, think, yeah, I think you can.
<v Speaker 3>What things do you think I should bring?
<v Speaker 2>Do you have your head? I think I would cancel
<v Speaker 2>immediately go out to the bar and have drinks.
<v Speaker 3>No, that's not happening, that's not That's why your twenty
<v Speaker 3>twenty six is gonna be a little different than my
<v Speaker 3>twenty twenty sex is this.
<v Speaker 2>Is this dated? Does anybody really actually do the whole
<v Speaker 2>vision board thing anymore?
<v Speaker 5>No?
<v Speaker 2>It seems incredibly ten years ago. Like I remember ten
<v Speaker 2>years ago everybody was all about vision boarding it and
<v Speaker 2>doing it and everybody had one. It's like the Christmas
<v Speaker 2>sweater to me, where it's just kind of dumb. Now, okay,
<v Speaker 2>film that silly.
<v Speaker 3>But I think that's the thing is people who it's
<v Speaker 3>just like a fad, Like the power of positive thinking
<v Speaker 3>is something that will matter, but.
<v Speaker 6>The whole vision board resolution, because like you're not looking
<v Speaker 6>at this vision board in November?
<v Speaker 3>No, you know, yeah you will, you'll create a different
<v Speaker 3>and not supposed to be a year long than have
<v Speaker 3>you heard about bullet journaling? Also, like, I didn't know
<v Speaker 3>about this until Zoe. I mean, Zoe has.
<v Speaker 2>Explained to people the bullet journal.
<v Speaker 3>Her entire like since she was like nine, she's done
<v Speaker 3>bullet journals, and it's really just every month you create
<v Speaker 3>a journal and in it you just have like goals
<v Speaker 3>and inspiration and things. So like she'd create a bullet
<v Speaker 3>journal and for the month of January, she'd put all
<v Speaker 3>the things that she wants to accomplish, some of the
<v Speaker 3>things that make her happy, some of the things that
<v Speaker 3>she wants to work on, areas that you know, she
<v Speaker 3>wants to improve and whatnot, and things that she's succeeding
<v Speaker 3>at already, because you want to get those. So the
<v Speaker 3>bullet journey.
<v Speaker 2>I like this because I make journals, and that's.
<v Speaker 3>Kind of what this is. Also, it's the vision board
<v Speaker 3>and the bullet different.
<v Speaker 2>The journal is more now. I think the vision board
<v Speaker 2>is ten years ago. I don't know if people do
<v Speaker 2>vision boards anymore. Prove me wrong, Prove me wrong, everybody.
<v Speaker 2>Three oh three six nine one one mix three oh
<v Speaker 2>three six nine one sixteen forty nine. Do you have
<v Speaker 2>a vision board? Do you? Uh, do you create one
<v Speaker 2>at the beginning of every year? What's on your vision board?
<v Speaker 2>I want to know? Yeah, prove me wrong three oh three,
<v Speaker 2>six nine one, sixteen forty nine, because I just feel
<v Speaker 2>like this is such a pass a thing.
<v Speaker 3>Do you think it's done?
<v Speaker 2>What did did you do in last year?
<v Speaker 3>I didn't know, so I haven't done vision Well. My
<v Speaker 3>friend kind of just recommended this because we are trying
<v Speaker 3>to get out and do things and not just expect
<v Speaker 3>the universe to work out just board. We're trying to
<v Speaker 3>do things. That's it. It's not even just bored. I'm
<v Speaker 3>just trying to fill my time with things that I
<v Speaker 3>think are positive and worth it and they're gonna bring
<v Speaker 3>me joy.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah right, I'm not knocking you for it exactly, but no,
<v Speaker 2>absolutely not knocking you. So everybody's gonna, oh, not a jerk,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not knocking. I just feel like the vision board
<v Speaker 2>is dating. Yeah, and I get that.
<v Speaker 3>I get what you would think that, But again, I
<v Speaker 3>think this is just like people who are very invested
<v Speaker 3>in manifestation, meditation, things like the sound bath things that
<v Speaker 3>I do. This ties into all that, you know, it's
<v Speaker 3>a power positive thinking we got.
<v Speaker 1>Hi, Candice, Hi.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, good morning. What do you want to say?
<v Speaker 1>I am all about it. I'm totally with you, Katie.
<v Speaker 1>So there's a book. I do it an audio and
<v Speaker 1>it's called The Secret.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, I'd love The Secret.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I listened to it all the time and it
<v Speaker 1>talks about manifesting and everything. I did one a board
<v Speaker 1>three years ago, and I didn't realize that I had
<v Speaker 1>bought the house that I wanted that I had put
<v Speaker 1>on my board.
<v Speaker 4>I need to make sorry.
<v Speaker 1>I need to make a new one this morning, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>or this year. This year. I'm sorry, not this morning,
<v Speaker 1>but this year, so that I can manifest new things.
<v Speaker 1>I guess, but I'm all about it. That's so funny
<v Speaker 1>that you're talking.
<v Speaker 2>Explain how that worked with the house. What do you mean?
<v Speaker 1>So I created the vision board like Katie's talking about,
<v Speaker 1>and you go on and you put, Okay, I want
<v Speaker 1>a house that looks like like mine. Is great. I
<v Speaker 1>live in Idaho, but I'm working in Colorado, and I
<v Speaker 1>wanted a big one. I wanted a big basement. I
<v Speaker 1>wanted six bedrooms. I have three and a half baths,
<v Speaker 1>three car garage, a big, beautiful yard. And I wrote
<v Speaker 1>all that down and I it was weird because I
<v Speaker 1>did pack it away because I was getting frustrated that
<v Speaker 1>I hadn't received it and you know all that. But anyways,
<v Speaker 1>then we were unpacking for that house and I found
<v Speaker 1>the board crazy and it happened.
<v Speaker 2>Generally, wouldn't you like when you're going to look at
<v Speaker 2>houses like you're you like, I want a three bedroom house,
<v Speaker 2>So wouldn't you just be looking at three bedroom houses anyway?
<v Speaker 7>Yes, And so that just wanted.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it just.
<v Speaker 1>Happened to come on the market like it wasn't on
<v Speaker 1>the market when I was searching. And then it was
<v Speaker 1>like we were getting frustrated because I wasn't finding what
<v Speaker 1>I wanted and it was like going to be our
<v Speaker 1>forever home and I didn't you know, I hate moving,
<v Speaker 1>so I didn't want to do that again.
<v Speaker 2>So you had a house on your vision board and
<v Speaker 2>it came true.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, and I love it, but I do need to
<v Speaker 1>do a new one for those here.
<v Speaker 3>Well and Candid, So up to that, Candice, can I
<v Speaker 3>tell you, like I had kind of the same experience
<v Speaker 3>in the sense that when I lived in Grand Junction,
<v Speaker 3>I had a dream to move back to Denver and
<v Speaker 3>I had a picture of Denver on my vision board.
<v Speaker 3>And the funny thing is is when I actually moved
<v Speaker 3>back to Denver and I got my job at Mixed
<v Speaker 3>one hundred, back at the old studio where we were at,
<v Speaker 3>the picture I printed out on my vision board was
<v Speaker 3>the same as the view from our big top thirteenth
<v Speaker 3>floor studio back on Colorado Boulevard. And I to this
<v Speaker 3>day that blows my mind that that came true in
<v Speaker 3>that way. And so I think that's what it is,
<v Speaker 3>is the power of positive thinking. Something that you have
<v Speaker 3>to remember is a lot of times it's not gonna
<v Speaker 3>happen immediately, but I'm talking years later. I had this
<v Speaker 3>picture on the importance you had a car, and remember
<v Speaker 3>that picture, that view of us from that top story building.
<v Speaker 3>And that's the thing is most of the pictures that
<v Speaker 3>you see of Denver are from the west, right. It's
<v Speaker 3>the picture of the stadium and everything, the course field,
<v Speaker 3>you've got in power field there and everything, but it's
<v Speaker 3>from the west looking in. This one was from the
<v Speaker 3>east looking to the west, so you had the mountains
<v Speaker 3>and everything in the background, and again ideal to what
<v Speaker 3>we looked out of that window on that top floor
<v Speaker 3>when we had the studios in that building. So just
<v Speaker 3>to me, that means something, that means my positive thinking
<v Speaker 3>worked at least in that little way.
<v Speaker 2>You live in Colorado and there's a thousand million times of.
<v Speaker 3>The front ring you but that you take from any works.
<v Speaker 2>But look at I mean, nobody was up in the
<v Speaker 2>twelve four of ours that.
<v Speaker 3>You to have that picture on my vision board. I
<v Speaker 3>just think that it's pretty mad. That was something that
<v Speaker 3>was something, you know what I mean, Like I made
<v Speaker 3>that happen a vision board. It was on a vision board.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, unbelievable.
<v Speaker 8>Here's Bill, Billy, how are you guys?
<v Speaker 2>Well, Bill, we're fine. I actually manifested a bill calling
<v Speaker 2>to believe it or not, two weeks ago. I said,
<v Speaker 2>I bet we get more bills that call the show.
<v Speaker 8>Well, I don't know if you were assuming that the
<v Speaker 8>bill was going to be under the age of fifty,
<v Speaker 8>but I'm one.
<v Speaker 3>Of the few.
<v Speaker 2>All right, that's awesome. So Bill, are you a fan
<v Speaker 2>of the vision board?
<v Speaker 8>Sorry, just cut out there one more time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, are you a fan of the vision board?
<v Speaker 4>I am so.
<v Speaker 8>I personally have never made one. However, my fiance has
<v Speaker 8>made vision boards for the last three or four years.
<v Speaker 8>I know when you guys were talking about is this
<v Speaker 8>a dated thing? My fiance's mom does it with a
<v Speaker 8>lot of her friends, and it's kind of shifted down
<v Speaker 8>through the generations, almost as like a holiday crafts idea.
<v Speaker 8>But yeah, it's I've loved it. I'm probably gonna start
<v Speaker 8>doing them now. But on the manifestation side of things,
<v Speaker 8>I think it's all as true as it can be.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, what are have you manifested something that has come true?
<v Speaker 8>That is a loaded question?
<v Speaker 2>What do you what are you currently manifesting?
<v Speaker 8>What I'm currently manifesting is is good health, a great year,
<v Speaker 8>and great success within both of our careers for our family.
<v Speaker 2>Isn't that somebody some some some something that everybody just
<v Speaker 2>wishes in general?
<v Speaker 8>I think so. But I think having the vision board
<v Speaker 8>of the constant reminder, like everyone's talking about their New
<v Speaker 8>Year's resolutions right now, but we'll see where everyone's at
<v Speaker 8>come February. Whereas you got the it's the same as
<v Speaker 8>the sticky notes on the mirror right when you wake
<v Speaker 8>up to start the day on the good reminders or
<v Speaker 8>the positive mental thinking. So I think it's really just
<v Speaker 8>the reminder to try to keep you on track.
<v Speaker 3>Hi, goodbye back, it's a visual reminder.
<v Speaker 2>Well, we wish you much success and health in the
<v Speaker 2>new year. Bill, we thank you for having us on
<v Speaker 2>in the morning.
<v Speaker 8>Appreciate it. Love listening to you guys in the morning too.
<v Speaker 8>Have a great year.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you, Bill, Take care, buddy, Hi Rosa, Hi, good
<v Speaker 2>morning to you. So what are your thoughts on the
<v Speaker 2>vision board?
<v Speaker 9>Well, good morning. I actually love vision boards. It's actually
<v Speaker 9>an established practice. It's not just, you know, a fad.
<v Speaker 9>I learned about making a vision board at school at
<v Speaker 9>Red Rocks Community College. It was one of our class projects.
<v Speaker 9>And I can say, as of yesterday, everything on my
<v Speaker 9>vision board has come true.
<v Speaker 4>A year ago.
<v Speaker 9>Yep, as of yesterday, I finally completed my vision board.
<v Speaker 1>Tell us to make the next one.
<v Speaker 2>Give us like three or four things that was on there.
<v Speaker 9>Okay, So one of the things on it was a
<v Speaker 9>picture of a dog that looked just like mine because
<v Speaker 9>I wanted a well trained dog. I actually found a
<v Speaker 9>great dog trainer. She has her second lesson on Saturday
<v Speaker 9>and I can already see improvement in her behavior.
<v Speaker 2>Okay.
<v Speaker 9>The second thing on my vision board was my turtle.
<v Speaker 9>She's quite big and hard to take care of so
<v Speaker 9>cleaning her tank was kinda hard, so I wanted some
<v Speaker 9>help with that.
<v Speaker 4>I did find.
<v Speaker 9>I visualized the turtle as being well and like happy,
<v Speaker 9>and can I ask you.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I have so many questions.
<v Speaker 2>What is the turtle's name?
<v Speaker 7>Samuel Square?
<v Speaker 2>Your phone cut out Squared.
<v Speaker 4>It's a it's a book in the Bible.
<v Speaker 9>It's Samuel too, and so I named her Samuel.
<v Speaker 2>Samuel, Samuel Samuel. Your phone was cutting out roses, so
<v Speaker 2>it's just Samuel. Yeah, Samuel, Samuel Square. Though I know
<v Speaker 2>that's your cue. Give me two more things that were
<v Speaker 2>on your vision.
<v Speaker 9>Board, okay, so uh me one of the things with
<v Speaker 9>me at a new job which I started last year,
<v Speaker 9>which I love. And then another thing on the vision
<v Speaker 9>board was a car. I actually was able to get
<v Speaker 9>one yesterday.
<v Speaker 2>Checked it out.
<v Speaker 3>You're doing that's amazing.
<v Speaker 2>So it's something that you look at every day and
<v Speaker 2>you kind of set that goal and you and you
<v Speaker 2>got her done.
<v Speaker 9>I think it was because I kept looking at it.
<v Speaker 9>It just kind of motivated me, and maybe more subconsciously
<v Speaker 9>than consciously, because I started just making fun all changes
<v Speaker 9>just in everyday life.
<v Speaker 7>And so that helps.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so it worked for you, and and vision boards
<v Speaker 2>are still a thing then in your opinion, I think so. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>one more question, where do you keep your vision board?
<v Speaker 9>So I just have it on the wall with all
<v Speaker 9>the rest of my paintings.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right, Well, good for you. Well congratulations, I
<v Speaker 2>guess is that what you're saying. Yeah, your vision board,
<v Speaker 2>well done, start your thank you, Thank you Rosa by Rosa.
<v Speaker 3>I love that.
<v Speaker 2>I know.
<v Speaker 3>On the turtle is healthy and that was important to.
<v Speaker 2>Her longest Sarah has Hi Sarah, good morning, Hello, good morning,
<v Speaker 2>good morning to you. So are vision boards dated?
<v Speaker 7>I don't think they're dated. I think they're like just
<v Speaker 7>kind of a really helpful tool for people to have
<v Speaker 7>a visual kind of ank to the goals that they
<v Speaker 7>want to have. For some people, you know, the bullet
<v Speaker 7>journal or a list of goals or a is however,
<v Speaker 7>however you want to like manifest the thing that reminds
<v Speaker 7>you of your goals. But some people are just more visual,
<v Speaker 7>and I think it's a really cool like visual anchor
<v Speaker 7>of like, oh yeah, this is why I do what
<v Speaker 7>I do day to day. So I think just like
<v Speaker 7>setting intentions and goals for the year is just kind
<v Speaker 7>of another avenue to like reminding what it is you
<v Speaker 7>want in the year.
<v Speaker 2>I have a spiral notebook that I keep on my
<v Speaker 2>kitchen counter, but it's just a to do list. Is
<v Speaker 2>that technically a vision board? The guy version?
<v Speaker 7>I would agree. I think that is like right, like
<v Speaker 7>we have like planners with like what do I have
<v Speaker 7>to get done today? Like, I think it's the same thing.
<v Speaker 7>It's just a different scales, a different Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I just don't cut out pictures like if it's I
<v Speaker 2>got a vacuum for the day, I don't put a
<v Speaker 2>picture of event.
<v Speaker 3>Again, the visual aspect of it. Some people are very much,
<v Speaker 3>you know, encouraged visually. So I love that you pointed
<v Speaker 3>out that there are people who can just write down
<v Speaker 3>what they need to do and that's enough for them
<v Speaker 3>to set their minds to it. But there are people
<v Speaker 3>who need to see, you know, a clean turtle in
<v Speaker 3>front of them to be like I need to clean
<v Speaker 3>that tank. You know, I get it.
<v Speaker 7>I think I really think it is a visual thing.
<v Speaker 7>I don't like the secret.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, that's interesting.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, I think it's gimmicky. I think it's just the
<v Speaker 7>like I watched the movie, I read the book, I
<v Speaker 7>did the things. I'm also a therapist. I'm a little
<v Speaker 7>biased in that way, but I feel like it's a gimmicky,
<v Speaker 7>like almost culty practice. It's a culty like a group
<v Speaker 7>of people who like got together and said, let's make
<v Speaker 7>money from like reminding people of what they want day
<v Speaker 7>to day.
<v Speaker 6>Wouldn't all the vision boards be considered gimmicky then too,
<v Speaker 6>I mean, you're buying all the products that they want
<v Speaker 6>you to buy to make the vision board.
<v Speaker 2>It's something different about The Secret, though, Sarah. I remember
<v Speaker 2>watching that and it was it was very much it
<v Speaker 2>made you feel awkward somehow.
<v Speaker 7>I felt very awkward watching it and reading the book,
<v Speaker 7>and it's like it's kind of just like I remember
<v Speaker 7>the visuals of like the people who were like I
<v Speaker 7>just envisioned all this money and then suddenly I had
<v Speaker 7>all these dollar bills and it's like, that's that's not
<v Speaker 7>how it works. Like the power of the mind is
<v Speaker 7>that you're reminded of the things that you're wanting and
<v Speaker 7>hoping for, and you're working toward it. You're doing something
<v Speaker 7>to work toward that goal. It doesn't just come out
<v Speaker 7>of nowhere. But The Secret kind of paints it as
<v Speaker 7>like you manifest and it shows up and like there's
<v Speaker 7>just a lot more to it, and it's just not there.
<v Speaker 2>Was not a chapter on initiative.
<v Speaker 7>Well, there was not a chapter.
<v Speaker 2>There was nothing in it about implementing. It was truly like,
<v Speaker 2>if I recall again it's been a thousand years since
<v Speaker 2>I've watched it, it was like truly sitting around closing
<v Speaker 2>your eyes and being like I wish I had a turtle.
<v Speaker 2>I wish I had a turtle.
<v Speaker 3>Well, and I think, like, go ahead.
<v Speaker 2>Get a job, make some money, go buy a turtle.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, well no, it's exactly I think. Honestly, it
<v Speaker 3>was very much. I appreciate your point, Sarah, and that
<v Speaker 3>it was gimmicky and they needed to make money off it,
<v Speaker 3>so they had it has been it that way, But
<v Speaker 3>they really tapped into the age old preface of like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, positive power positive of power of things, excuse me,
<v Speaker 3>power positive, that it works. I think, you know, like
<v Speaker 3>they tapped into that, but they needed to make money
<v Speaker 3>off it, so that's where the spin comes. But yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I appreciate that thought because they didn't think about it.
<v Speaker 7>That making making money off the placebo effect.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yes, yes.
<v Speaker 4>Effect.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like we could hang out well the.
<v Speaker 3>Voice of reason for sure. Like I came in here
<v Speaker 3>with a lot of just factual stuff.
<v Speaker 2>So, hey, have you watched the TV show Shrinking on
<v Speaker 2>Apple TV?
<v Speaker 4>I have not.
<v Speaker 2>It's all about therapy and therapists and it's really good. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>Harrison Ford is in it, and that Jason guy, Jason
<v Speaker 2>Jason goals and he might be a seagull. I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>but look up Shrinking on Apple TV. I think you
<v Speaker 2>would like it.
<v Speaker 7>I will, I will take a look at it. Cycle
<v Speaker 7>between like Grease Natamine girls.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, no it is.
<v Speaker 4>It's we need something new.
<v Speaker 2>It feel good but yet funny, yet logical, and I
<v Speaker 2>think you would really like it. So check it out.
<v Speaker 7>Amazing.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you, Thank you for calling, and you can call
<v Speaker 2>whenever you want.
<v Speaker 7>All right, amazing, thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Bye bye. I'm gonna put more Sarah on my.
<v Speaker 3>Vision a lot of good points.
<v Speaker 2>Where are we out on time? I'll do two more
<v Speaker 2>Brandon and Lisa. We might have a couple of minutes
<v Speaker 2>if anyone else wants to sound off about vision boards
<v Speaker 2>three oh three six nine one one mix three oh
<v Speaker 2>three six nine one sixteen forty nine? Are they old school?
<v Speaker 2>Are they pass? Or do you still have one. Give
<v Speaker 2>us a whoa Brandon, they didn't love me doing brand
<v Speaker 2>I'll put him on hold, Josh. Can you see it's
<v Speaker 2>up here, Brandon. And here's Lisa. Hi, Lisa.
<v Speaker 7>Well hello, Well top of the.
<v Speaker 2>Morning to you. What are your thoughts on the vision boards?
<v Speaker 4>Well, I'm so this was forty years ago when I
<v Speaker 4>was a single parent of twenty years years old, barely
<v Speaker 4>making twenty thousand a year, which was a struggle at
<v Speaker 4>that time. I wrote myself a blank check. I put
<v Speaker 4>payable to my name, and in the amount too, I
<v Speaker 4>put three times my current age and forty years. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>it took a few years to get there, and I
<v Speaker 4>did work really hard on it. But here I am
<v Speaker 4>forty years later and I am sixty years old, and
<v Speaker 4>there and then some so I don't know. I think
<v Speaker 4>it's about putting things out into the universe and just
<v Speaker 4>and I stuck that check in a drawer, so I
<v Speaker 4>forgot completely about it until several years later when I
<v Speaker 4>was cleaning things out and I was like, oh my gosh,
<v Speaker 4>I made it. I did it, and it was you know.
<v Speaker 4>So that was my version of a vision board. Is
<v Speaker 4>I just I just wrote it out on a blank
<v Speaker 4>check and it came to be, and I'm very thankful.
<v Speaker 2>There's a fairly well known story about Jim Carrey, and
<v Speaker 2>you know, he was a struggling actor for many, many
<v Speaker 2>years making Diddaly and one of the things he did
<v Speaker 2>is he took a blank check and wrote ten million
<v Speaker 2>dollars on it. He wanted a ten million dollar pay day,
<v Speaker 2>and he started taking off and he did Ace Ventura,
<v Speaker 2>made a couple of bucks. He made, he did the
<v Speaker 2>Mask after that made a couple bucks, and then he
<v Speaker 2>made the movie called Dumb and Dumber and his payday
<v Speaker 2>for that was exactly ten million dollars. And he talks
<v Speaker 2>about how he, you know, looked at that check and
<v Speaker 2>was like, Wow, I manifested this. I did this. And
<v Speaker 2>he did it kind of as a way as his
<v Speaker 2>dad pushed him a lot and stuff like that. And
<v Speaker 2>it's one of those things where he actually took that
<v Speaker 2>check and put it in the pocket of his dad
<v Speaker 2>in his casket after his dad passed away.
<v Speaker 3>Wow.
<v Speaker 2>But it's right along the same lines that he manifested
<v Speaker 2>a ten million dollar payday. And by the third movie
<v Speaker 2>it happened and he had wrote a check in that
<v Speaker 2>exact amount.
<v Speaker 3>Just gave me goosebumps.
<v Speaker 2>So that's what Lisa, he did. You did you rolling it.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't dream that big, but.
<v Speaker 2>You should have wrote a bigger number on that.
<v Speaker 3>Check right, Lisa, you essentially made a vision board way
<v Speaker 3>back when and you put it out into the universe.
<v Speaker 3>And you know, I mean that is what it is.
<v Speaker 3>Is is you're just like starting the conversation about something
<v Speaker 3>that you want to happen. Now again, you have to
<v Speaker 3>work to make that happen. But when you made it happen,
<v Speaker 3>it kind of felt like it was a little bit magic,
<v Speaker 3>didn't it.
<v Speaker 4>It did? It is when I found it, you know,
<v Speaker 4>several years later and went wow, I did this, And
<v Speaker 4>you know again check now probably still in the in
<v Speaker 4>a file in a drawer.
<v Speaker 2>You should frame that.
<v Speaker 3>You should frame that. You should absolutely frame that.
<v Speaker 2>Bring mojo, you never know?
<v Speaker 5>Right?
<v Speaker 4>Well, anyway, so I believe in it. I think it's
<v Speaker 4>not passe. I mean it is. It is a thing.
<v Speaker 4>It definitely is a thing.
<v Speaker 2>Well, we appreciate you schooling us and Lisa, thank you
<v Speaker 2>so much for calling in.
<v Speaker 4>You guys have a beautiful day.
<v Speaker 3>Bye.
<v Speaker 2>All right, see if we got.
<v Speaker 5>Brandon back, Hey, what's going on Well, we.
<v Speaker 2>Manifested a better phone and you did it a better phone.
<v Speaker 2>Go all right, buddy, you get the final word on this.
<v Speaker 2>What are your thoughts on the vision boards?
<v Speaker 4>Oh?
<v Speaker 5>I totally agree in the power of positive thinking. I
<v Speaker 5>did my first vision board back in twenty sixteen. I
<v Speaker 5>had things on there that were were for traveling for work.
<v Speaker 5>I got a new job that year, I got, you know,
<v Speaker 5>promoted to a management position. I ended up going to
<v Speaker 5>Mexico on a really cool vacation and after that, I
<v Speaker 5>was just like, you know what doing this and like
<v Speaker 5>the whole crafting and the art part about it also
<v Speaker 5>makes it really fun. This year, my girlfriend and I
<v Speaker 5>decided to kind of step it up a little bit
<v Speaker 5>and we actually got a pre made tarot card reading
<v Speaker 5>that we waited to open until New Year's Eve, and
<v Speaker 5>we opened that and based our vision board around that,
<v Speaker 5>and we spent like three or four hours doing our
<v Speaker 5>vision words this year, and they're amazing and I just
<v Speaker 5>can't wait to see what unfolds this year for both
<v Speaker 5>of us.
<v Speaker 2>This is so romantic. I want to puke. I know,
<v Speaker 2>what was the tarot card reading? What did it say?
<v Speaker 5>So mine was to kind of uh see myself as
<v Speaker 5>the person that I am today, and you know, put
<v Speaker 5>all of the past Brandon and everything, you know, like
<v Speaker 5>in the past, and it's talked about looking at myself
<v Speaker 5>and seeing what I am now in the mirror and
<v Speaker 5>just you know, being proud of the person that I
<v Speaker 5>am now and moving forward in my life with me.
<v Speaker 2>Who tell us who that Brandon is?
<v Speaker 5>Well, So I think one thing about me is I
<v Speaker 5>just got five years of sobriety, which is thank you, yeah,
<v Speaker 5>thank you, and I'm really proud of that.
<v Speaker 7>And I think that, you know, the new.
<v Speaker 5>The person that I have now is a more healthier
<v Speaker 5>and more into wellness and positivity person that I am today,
<v Speaker 5>and so I just moving forward with that. I think
<v Speaker 5>it's really what my tyrot card reading was telling me,
<v Speaker 5>and it was great, Like it gives me the chills
<v Speaker 5>to even think about it now.
<v Speaker 2>It's good for you. Takes years to you, but I feel.
<v Speaker 3>Like that, Yeah, you know, high five, so hi five
<v Speaker 3>all around, because that's and you know, it's it's funny
<v Speaker 3>that you mentioned that you're leaving the old Brandon in
<v Speaker 3>the past, because if you look at like the Chinese
<v Speaker 3>New Year's right, last year was the year of the Snake,
<v Speaker 3>and that's where we're shedding our skin and we're becoming
<v Speaker 3>the people that we are for this year, which is
<v Speaker 3>the year of the Horse, and it's greener pastures for you, Brandon.
<v Speaker 3>I love it so just.
<v Speaker 2>Making it all come true.
<v Speaker 5>I hope everyone does a vision board because I really
<v Speaker 5>think that having that there in front of you and
<v Speaker 5>to be able to kind of look at it, it
<v Speaker 5>really helps kind of push you to try and you know,
<v Speaker 5>get those.
<v Speaker 2>Things time totally. You said you had a girlfriend, right,
<v Speaker 2>I did. Yeah, you're gonna put a ring on it?
<v Speaker 2>Is that on your vision board? I feel like I
<v Speaker 2>hit a hot button. Here is that on her vision board?
<v Speaker 9>Well?
<v Speaker 5>We did him together, and I'm sure it's in the
<v Speaker 5>vision you know, sometime in the future. But I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Why are you driving your feet?
<v Speaker 5>Well, it's still still pretty new. It's we're still in
<v Speaker 5>the new love phase right now.
<v Speaker 2>So so this isn't like a six year relationship.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I actually enjoy this time because this is some of
<v Speaker 2>the best times. Yeah, the love awesome.
<v Speaker 5>We are embracing it's a lot this you know, this
<v Speaker 5>time of the year too, especially.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Brandon, again, a very thoughtful phone call thank you
<v Speaker 2>so much for having us on in the morning, buddy,
<v Speaker 2>and call us later in the year and give us
<v Speaker 2>an update about what's going on with you.
<v Speaker 5>All right, all right, I will thank you guys. Well,
<v Speaker 5>you're welcome.
<v Speaker 3>Congrats again on that five years, Brandon. That's a really
<v Speaker 3>big deal.
<v Speaker 2>Good job, good guy.
<v Speaker 3>Oh I loved today.
<v Speaker 2>I think I've been proved wrong. Are you to make
<v Speaker 2>of soial? Oh? I got my list? I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>You're right, you're right, you're right. Sorry, it's ridiculous.
<v Speaker 3>I'll do one for us. Okay, I'll do a j
<v Speaker 3>vision board. We'll put it up in the studio. I
<v Speaker 3>will make it happen.
<v Speaker 2>You're welcome. That's very nice. You
