<v Speaker 1>What is going on everybody? It is Saturday Night and
<v Speaker 1>that could only mean one thing. It is Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event. Twenty four hours after a very boring SmackDown Man,
<v Speaker 1>that show was not fun. Last night, WWE tonight delivered
<v Speaker 1>two hours in the same venue in Montreal at the
<v Speaker 1>Bell Center. We are one week out now from the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble and WWE went out tonight and they delivered
<v Speaker 1>what I think, top to bottom was the best installment
<v Speaker 1>of Saturday Nights Made events since they rebooted the show
<v Speaker 1>back in twenty twenty four. So, and again maybe it's
<v Speaker 1>low praise. I can't really think back to many of
<v Speaker 1>these shows that I would say were outstanding or anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. But we are a week out from the
<v Speaker 1>main show, which is the Rumble that's the bigger of
<v Speaker 1>the two shows. We didn't have a large card tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and in fact, one of the matches they promoted never
<v Speaker 1>actually technically was a match. But I do think top
<v Speaker 1>to bottom it was the strongest Saturday Nights Made event
<v Speaker 1>that they've done so far. We do have a new
<v Speaker 1>number one contender for the WWE Championship that we were
<v Speaker 1>promised tonight we would find out who Drew McIntyre's opponent
<v Speaker 1>would be at the Royal Rumble. It was either going
<v Speaker 1>to be Randy Orton, Sammy z Ain, Trick Williams, or
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest. And as I mentioned a few weeks ago,
<v Speaker 1>I said, you know, this show is in Montreal and
<v Speaker 1>then the Royal Rumble next weekend is in Riod, two
<v Speaker 1>places where Samy Zain happens to have a very large
<v Speaker 1>fan base. The people love him in these two places,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't see this as being the WrestleMania main events,
<v Speaker 1>so it would only make sense that Sammy z Ain
<v Speaker 1>would get a big win here in Montreal. The last
<v Speaker 1>time they were here for like a major event, Samy's
<v Speaker 1>Ain challenged for the WWE Championship and it didn't work
<v Speaker 1>out too well for him. But tonight he was able
<v Speaker 1>to pick up the win, which means he will get
<v Speaker 1>another crack at the title in Riod next Saturday. They
<v Speaker 1>had what I thought was a good four way that
<v Speaker 1>was the main event of the show here. Not my
<v Speaker 1>favorite thing on the show, but I thought that it
<v Speaker 1>was a good match, and it was the first time
<v Speaker 1>that we saw Trick Williams in a major main roster match.
<v Speaker 1>WWE you would never even know that he was only
<v Speaker 1>called up a month ago to the main roster. He
<v Speaker 1>has just fit like a glove on that SmackDown brand.
<v Speaker 1>He fit right in there with Randy Orton and Sammy
<v Speaker 1>and Priest. He was more over than Damian Priest was.
<v Speaker 1>So I like the main event, and as predictable as
<v Speaker 1>the finish was, it is the right match to be doing.
<v Speaker 1>Predictable does not always mean bad. That was the correct outcome.
<v Speaker 1>Although there was one thing that surprised me about that match,
<v Speaker 1>which I'll talk about a little bit later on Cody
<v Speaker 1>roads in Jacob Fat two. They do not like each other.
<v Speaker 1>We saw that on SmackDown last night. That was the
<v Speaker 1>best part of SmackDown was the face to face interview
<v Speaker 1>with Cody and FA two that got me hyped up
<v Speaker 1>to see this match first time ever. One on one.
<v Speaker 1>The bell never rang. These two came out there, they
<v Speaker 1>opened the show, and they just brawled all over the building.
<v Speaker 1>I ever wrote in my notes, because you guys know
<v Speaker 1>how much of a fan I am of the false
<v Speaker 1>count any war stipulation. When people actually make use of
<v Speaker 1>the false count any war stipulation, and unfortunately, and this
<v Speaker 1>goes for aw as well, but especially in WWE, rarely,
<v Speaker 1>if ever, do they fully take advantage of that stipulation.
<v Speaker 1>This was not a false count anywhere match, but you
<v Speaker 1>would watch it and you would think that it was,
<v Speaker 1>and they actually made better use of it if it
<v Speaker 1>was a false count anywhere match than most actual false
<v Speaker 1>count anywhere matches. They were brawling all over the place
<v Speaker 1>and it went exactly the way that I told you
<v Speaker 1>it would when we did the predictions the other week
<v Speaker 1>where I said, there's not gonna be a winner here.
<v Speaker 1>They're not gonna want to beat Cody Rhoads. Cody is
<v Speaker 1>their guy. They had to be dragged, kicking and screaming
<v Speaker 1>just to beat him in three stages of hell. And
<v Speaker 1>he's coming off that loss, you think they're gonna beat
<v Speaker 1>him again. And then you got Jacob Fatu, who this
<v Speaker 1>was his first match back in a few months. They
<v Speaker 1>don't want to beat him either, So what do you
<v Speaker 1>think they're gonna do. They're going to try to do
<v Speaker 1>a finish that protects both of these men in some way,
<v Speaker 1>and sure enough, that's exactly what they did. But even
<v Speaker 1>though the bell never rang and we never got an
<v Speaker 1>official match, hottest thing on the entire show. Fans were
<v Speaker 1>super into this. Both guys beating the hell out of
<v Speaker 1>each other. What's not to like? So we have the
<v Speaker 1>women's tag team titles they were on the line. I
<v Speaker 1>enjoyed that match. That was a very good match. And
<v Speaker 1>then we had Aj Styles and we had Shinsky knockemore
<v Speaker 1>not bad for a match that we got on twenty
<v Speaker 1>four hours notice. Couldn't imagine why would Nick all This
<v Speaker 1>be inviting AJ Styles to SmackDown last night. Styles just
<v Speaker 1>announced on Monday that he was accepting the challenge that
<v Speaker 1>Gunther put out for him to get a rematch at
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble, but he was going to put his
<v Speaker 1>career on the line. And remember on Monday, AJ spoke
<v Speaker 1>to his wife and told that in Pierce, I'm doing it.
<v Speaker 1>So he got the invitation from Nick all This to
<v Speaker 1>be there on SmackDown last night. And he steps aside
<v Speaker 1>and he says, well, that's you. I wanted to ask
<v Speaker 1>you about that, but that's not the only reason I
<v Speaker 1>invited you here to Montreal. He steps aside, and then
<v Speaker 1>we see Shinsky Nakamora walk in and Nakamura was questioning
<v Speaker 1>his wisdom and putting his career on the line, but said,
<v Speaker 1>well you're gonna do this, then why don't you and
<v Speaker 1>I have a match. That's how we got this. It
<v Speaker 1>was all set up very quickly. There was no sort
<v Speaker 1>of hint at it or build or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>It was just two guys who have obviously a history
<v Speaker 1>together going back even pre dating WWE, and none of
<v Speaker 1>their matches in WWE really stand out too much. Their
<v Speaker 1>matches actually got progressively better coming off the very disappointing
<v Speaker 1>Wrestle Media match they had eight years ago. But they
<v Speaker 1>went out there tonight and what they were promoting as
<v Speaker 1>the last time ever, final time one on one AJ
<v Speaker 1>Styles and Shinsky Nakimour, and they had an excellent match.
<v Speaker 1>They had a fucking killer match tonight. Crowd wasn't exactly
<v Speaker 1>hot throughout the entire thing the way they were for
<v Speaker 1>John Cena and AJ Styles, but you can understand it
<v Speaker 1>because it's Shinsky knock Himore, and let's just be honest, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>when was the last time that knock Himour was portrayed
<v Speaker 1>as any one of any great relevance on that roster.
<v Speaker 1>It's been a while. They dust him off every now
<v Speaker 1>and then like a toy on a shelf when they
<v Speaker 1>want to play with him, and then they put him
<v Speaker 1>back on the shelf. That is his role in w
<v Speaker 1>w W. They don't do a whole hell of a
<v Speaker 1>lot with him, and he's been there for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>But for tonight they kind of turned back the hands
<v Speaker 1>of time, even the gear that Knockamora came out wearing,
<v Speaker 1>and they dialed it back and they went out there
<v Speaker 1>and they just had a great fucking wrestling match, back
<v Speaker 1>and forth, lots of near falls, lots of knees to
<v Speaker 1>the face, including one in particular that I thought Knockamoura
<v Speaker 1>silly legit. No, they had a killer match. They had
<v Speaker 1>a killer match, and you knew how it was going
<v Speaker 1>to go because it's just building to aj match with
<v Speaker 1>Gunther next weekend. But I'm so happy the two of
<v Speaker 1>them had the chance to go out there and have
<v Speaker 1>the kind of match they had tonight, considering some of
<v Speaker 1>the weaker matches that they've had in their WWE stin
<v Speaker 1>so when you put all that together again, it's not
<v Speaker 1>exactly a big card. But for what we got here
<v Speaker 1>on this show, I thought it was a very very
<v Speaker 1>good show and the best one they've done so far.
<v Speaker 1>In the last two years. Certainly a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>lot better than whatever the hell it was I watched
<v Speaker 1>last night. This is your Saturday Night's main Event review.
<v Speaker 1>It is January twenty fourth, twenty twenty six. I am
<v Speaker 1>the Solemn Monster. Thank you for being with me here
<v Speaker 1>on a Saturday night. I know many of you were
<v Speaker 1>with me last night for the SmackDown review. We got
<v Speaker 1>the sound off coming up tomorrow. We got a lot
<v Speaker 1>of shit to talk about, oh do we ever? But
<v Speaker 1>tonight we're talking this show. I can subscribe. Super chats
<v Speaker 1>are open, so if you want to get them on
<v Speaker 1>in I will be reading your messages. Let me know
<v Speaker 1>what you thought of the show tonight, and any other
<v Speaker 1>thoughts or predictions or anything you have for the Royal Rumble.
<v Speaker 1>Get the money in. We'll hang out a little bit
<v Speaker 1>later on. All these special donation amounts are in the
<v Speaker 1>description down below, downwhere down here and again we'll do
<v Speaker 1>some be the booker. If we hit the likes goal,
<v Speaker 1>which means we got to bring the wheel out. This
<v Speaker 1>is the new thing now that we do. This will
<v Speaker 1>determine what the number of likes is, the minimum number
<v Speaker 1>of likes that we need live during the stream in
<v Speaker 1>order to do be the booker. Let's see what it is,
<v Speaker 1>three sixty one. We should be able to do that
<v Speaker 1>blindfolded in standing on our head three hundred and sixty
<v Speaker 1>one likes we hit three sixty one, we will be
<v Speaker 1>the booker. Now it's on you. You guys got to
<v Speaker 1>go out and make it happen. Show kicked off with
<v Speaker 1>Stephanie McMahon at the podium where normally we would see
<v Speaker 1>Joe Tessitour and sometimes Jesse Ventura, but neither of them
<v Speaker 1>were there tonight, and Stephanie McMahon was there, and she
<v Speaker 1>told us that Joe test was stuck at the airport
<v Speaker 1>in Detroit due to weather issues. I think most people,
<v Speaker 1>unless you are all the way out west, are dealing
<v Speaker 1>with some severe weather issues this weekend. In fact, here
<v Speaker 1>in New York, we're only a few hours away from
<v Speaker 1>the snow moving in. I don't even know. I don't
<v Speaker 1>even know what the projections are. I've heard half a foot,
<v Speaker 1>I've heard as much as sixteen inches of snow. I
<v Speaker 1>don't even know what to expect. I just know it's
<v Speaker 1>fucking cold outside and whatever falls is going to freeze,
<v Speaker 1>and it's not going to go away for a while,
<v Speaker 1>so I know that. But wherever you are, in all seriousness,
<v Speaker 1>please just don't go out if you don't have to,
<v Speaker 1>but just stay safe because in some places, like what
<v Speaker 1>they're predicting is ridiculous. And Stephanie here even said, like outside,
<v Speaker 1>I guess where they were in Montreal. It was minus
<v Speaker 1>seven I think, with a windshill of minus twenty, so
<v Speaker 1>not good. But I'll be inside tomorrow recording the sound
<v Speaker 1>of hopefully my internet doesn't go down. So then she asked, Montreal,
<v Speaker 1>are you ready? She said this in English, and then
<v Speaker 1>she did it in French. I forgot to mention because
<v Speaker 1>I think this started last month. There is a new
<v Speaker 1>theme song for Saturday night's main event. They have done
<v Speaker 1>away with the classic stuff and we are now stuck
<v Speaker 1>with Quavo as the new theme for this show. I
<v Speaker 1>think they have relegated Obsession to like some of the
<v Speaker 1>bumpers where they put like the preview graphics up. I
<v Speaker 1>think it's still in there, but it is no longer
<v Speaker 1>used as the intro for this show. So they're already
<v Speaker 1>starting to phase out some of the retro elements, which
<v Speaker 1>kind of sucks, like the turnbuckles and all that kind
<v Speaker 1>of stuff. Now, look, they have kept the red, white
<v Speaker 1>and blue ring ropes and they still have the old
<v Speaker 1>school Madison Square Garden microphones that drop from the ceiling
<v Speaker 1>when Lilian does her announcements. So it kept some of
<v Speaker 1>the retro elements, but they're already phasing other aspects of
<v Speaker 1>it out. So they opened with Cody Rhoads against Jacob Fatu,
<v Speaker 1>and we start with a shirtless Fatu. He is walking
<v Speaker 1>through the backstage area, cutting a promo on Cody as
<v Speaker 1>he makes his way through the back through the gorilla
<v Speaker 1>position out to the ring and to a very strong reaction.
<v Speaker 1>I was asking the question last night, what should we
<v Speaker 1>expect as far as the reaction to fa Tu compared
<v Speaker 1>to the reaction for Cody. I was figuring, definitely more
<v Speaker 1>positive for Fatu than it would be for Cody. And
<v Speaker 1>that's pretty much the way that it worked out here.
<v Speaker 1>Cody entered next. He was wearing the skull mask that
<v Speaker 1>he wore to WrestleMania. More of a mixed reaction, mostly positive.
<v Speaker 1>It was mostly positive. It was more of a mixed reaction.
<v Speaker 1>So Fatu jumped Cody as he climbed the ropes for this.
<v Speaker 1>You know, the second part of his theme song where
<v Speaker 1>he goes whoa for the second time, right, and everyone's
<v Speaker 1>getting ready to do it, and before everybody could do
<v Speaker 1>the woe, Fa Twu is in the ring. He kicks
<v Speaker 1>Cody's legs out from underneath him and ruins it, and
<v Speaker 1>he got booed. Fans actually booed that they couldn't do
<v Speaker 1>the second woe in the song, and so the two
<v Speaker 1>of them started brawling. Charles Robinson he got knocked over
<v Speaker 1>right away. The bell has not rung yet at this point,
<v Speaker 1>so there is no match underway, so officials flooded the ring.
<v Speaker 1>They tried to calm things down, and then security arrived
<v Speaker 1>to pull them apart, even though you know, they could
<v Speaker 1>have just rung the bell because these two were scheduled
<v Speaker 1>to have a match. We could just ring the bell
<v Speaker 1>let him fight, but no, can't do that. So Fa
<v Speaker 1>two did a step up leap at one point because
<v Speaker 1>Cody was outside. He was being pulled away by the
<v Speaker 1>security geeks and they're all piled up outside and Fatuo's
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and it's like, oh gee, I wonder,
<v Speaker 1>I wonder what he's gonna do. And he goes to
<v Speaker 1>do the step up. I don't know if it was
<v Speaker 1>like a moon salt the moon salt, right, not a cannonball,
<v Speaker 1>but he kind of slipped a little bit. He lost
<v Speaker 1>his footing and he hit the move. But the idea
<v Speaker 1>was that he would hit Cody and then everybody would
<v Speaker 1>fall down. Well, he didn't come anywhere close to Cody.
<v Speaker 1>He landed on some of the security geeks, but everybody
<v Speaker 1>fell down anyway. So Cody threw Fatu back in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>only to closeline him right back out over the top.
<v Speaker 1>He landed a suicide dive that sent Fatu sailing over
<v Speaker 1>the announced desk, and then Cody posed on top of
<v Speaker 1>the desk and it was just mass chaos here. So
<v Speaker 1>Fatu tried to exit through the crowd. Cody followed him,
<v Speaker 1>and he also got back dropped onto the concrete. Cody
<v Speaker 1>got up, he tossed him into some equipment cases that
<v Speaker 1>were sitting nearby. So fat to dump Cody into the
<v Speaker 1>where the lower bowl seats were in the building, and
<v Speaker 1>they started fighting up the stairs. They are fighting their
<v Speaker 1>way up the staircase towards the concourse where all of
<v Speaker 1>the concessions are. And this took a little while, but
<v Speaker 1>eventually they make their way out onto the concourse. So
<v Speaker 1>now they're they're you know, you see the merch tables,
<v Speaker 1>you see where the food stations are, and Cody grabbed
<v Speaker 1>a few different garbage cans. He was bouncing them off
<v Speaker 1>some of these security gig There was actually one in
<v Speaker 1>particular that was kind of funny. It was almost like
<v Speaker 1>a cartoon where he took this you know, plastic garbage
<v Speaker 1>can and basically bounced it right off of his head.
<v Speaker 1>So he's knocking him down like pins in a bowling alley.
<v Speaker 1>Jamie Noble is there. He's begging them to stop. Fatu
<v Speaker 1>starts choking Cody, And there was one poor security guard
<v Speaker 1>who comes over and he's yelling at them or he's
<v Speaker 1>trying to tell them, you know, save it for the rumble,
<v Speaker 1>save it for the rumble, save it for the rumble,
<v Speaker 1>and for his troubles. Fa too delivered a yuranagi through
<v Speaker 1>a nearby merch table, and so that was the end
<v Speaker 1>of that guy. So they briefly fought over to where
<v Speaker 1>one of the food stations were, and I was kind
<v Speaker 1>of hoping they would go like behind there and start
<v Speaker 1>from food at each other or something. But this is
<v Speaker 1>where like I'm watching this going, man, I know the
<v Speaker 1>bell hasn't even run yet. Technically there is no match,
<v Speaker 1>but this is a better false count anywhere match than
<v Speaker 1>most false count anywhere matches in WWE were they're almost
<v Speaker 1>afraid to go to like different parts of the building.
<v Speaker 1>Unfortunately that's where it ended. And at that point they
<v Speaker 1>took the brawl back into the arena. Nick All, this
<v Speaker 1>I noticed, nick All, this was there. So now he's
<v Speaker 1>among all of the security people that are trying to
<v Speaker 1>get things under control here. So they end up on
<v Speaker 1>some boxes and there's another security geek who got in
<v Speaker 1>their way, and the two of them grab him and
<v Speaker 1>they send him flying backwards onto the waiting pile down
<v Speaker 1>below of all the other security geeks waiting to catch him.
<v Speaker 1>All of a sudden, Drew McIntyre appears. A while the
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre shows up, and he did what twenty different
<v Speaker 1>security guards were unable to do. He was able to
<v Speaker 1>calm the situation. And the way in which he calmed
<v Speaker 1>the situation was he grabbed Jacob and he shoved him
<v Speaker 1>backwards off the boxes that they were standing on, and
<v Speaker 1>Fatu went crashing through one of the tables down below.
<v Speaker 1>So that was the end of Jacob Fatu and as
<v Speaker 1>far as Cody is concerned, he gives Cody a low
<v Speaker 1>blow and he sets him up for what ended up
<v Speaker 1>being actually a pretty good looking jackknife power bomb through
<v Speaker 1>one of the other tables down below. It actually kind
<v Speaker 1>of reminded me of the bump that Eric Bischoff took
<v Speaker 1>at the Great American Bash when Kevin Nash power bomb
<v Speaker 1>them off the stage, and Bishop had a farther distance
<v Speaker 1>to fall because he was being powerbomb by a seven
<v Speaker 1>foot man off the stage that night, but it just
<v Speaker 1>kind of reminded me of that a little bit. So
<v Speaker 1>it was a good bump there for Cody, and that
<v Speaker 1>was it. Both men were taken out and Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 1>finally was able to do what nobody else could do.
<v Speaker 1>He'd put an end to this, made his way through
<v Speaker 1>the crowd back down to ringside into the ring and
<v Speaker 1>he just sort of reveled in all of the chaos
<v Speaker 1>and then backstage after this, Kathy Kelly caught up with
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre and she said that he owed everyone in explanation,
<v Speaker 1>he said that it was a statement to everybody on
<v Speaker 1>the roster, if you want to run your mouth, or
<v Speaker 1>you want to come near me or my title. That's
<v Speaker 1>what's going to happen. So when I did my predictions,
<v Speaker 1>this is that's why I couldn't pick a winner. I said,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think anybody's winning this match. I at least
<v Speaker 1>thought there would be a match. I thought there would
<v Speaker 1>be a bell and they would have some kind of match,
<v Speaker 1>and that eventually it would end up in the crowd
<v Speaker 1>and either they would be counted out or it would
<v Speaker 1>be a no contest. There'd be some kind of big
<v Speaker 1>bump in the crowd that would take both of them out.
<v Speaker 1>And I feel like we saw that once before with
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. But that's how that this
<v Speaker 1>would end, and that way neither man has to lose,
<v Speaker 1>and then they're both in the Royal Rumble next week,
<v Speaker 1>and so they could just carry all this hatred over
<v Speaker 1>into the Rumble. So the only thing different that they
<v Speaker 1>did here was they just never rang the bell, so
<v Speaker 1>technically there was no match. But I thought that what
<v Speaker 1>they did here though, was fine. It was fun. I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was a very chaotic way to open the show,
<v Speaker 1>a hot way to open the show, and they did
<v Speaker 1>what they wanted to do. I mean, they spared either
<v Speaker 1>man from taking a loss here, so we knew that
<v Speaker 1>was going to be the case. But I didn't feel
<v Speaker 1>like I was cheated out of anything because this went
<v Speaker 1>long enough, Like this dragged on long enough where it
<v Speaker 1>felt like a match, you know, But at the end
<v Speaker 1>of the day, it's like as long as as long
<v Speaker 1>as they give it a proper amount of time. It
<v Speaker 1>started at ringside, right, they were fighting over by the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk. After they got out of the ring, they
<v Speaker 1>were in the crowd for a little while, they went
<v Speaker 1>up the stairs, they were on the concourse, they came
<v Speaker 1>back out. So I don't know what the total amount
<v Speaker 1>of time maybe this was, I don't know, twelve minutes
<v Speaker 1>something like that. What I have liked to have seen
<v Speaker 1>an actual proper match between them that would have gone
<v Speaker 1>fifteen minutes. Yes, and I hope we get it. I
<v Speaker 1>still hope we get it. They may not want to
<v Speaker 1>do it, because again they're still afraid to beat people,
<v Speaker 1>so we may not even get it. But I didn't
<v Speaker 1>really feel cheated out of anything. If they would have
<v Speaker 1>fought for like five minutes and been separated, that would
<v Speaker 1>have been fucking terrible. But I thought what we got here.
<v Speaker 1>It was nice and nice chaotic way to open the show.
<v Speaker 1>And as far as the drewmacin tire interference, you would
<v Speaker 1>watch this and you would think, boy, we must be
<v Speaker 1>getting a triple threat match soon. Now. The rumors or
<v Speaker 1>that Drew McIntyre is going to walk into WrestleMania as
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Champion, which I'm fine with, but right now,
<v Speaker 1>according to bodyslam dot Net, the plan is to do
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Drew one on one it WrestleMania, which I
<v Speaker 1>think would be fucking ridiculous. You do a triple threat match.
<v Speaker 1>If you're going to go that route, stick Jacob in there.
<v Speaker 1>I know wrestle Mania is still a few months away,
<v Speaker 1>stick Jacob in there. I'd be okay with them doing
<v Speaker 1>a triple threat match. At least it would add a
<v Speaker 1>different element than just doing Cody and Drew again for
<v Speaker 1>the fifth time or the sixth time since Wressell Palooza.
<v Speaker 1>To just run that match back again one on one
<v Speaker 1>when we just had three stages of hell would be
<v Speaker 1>fucking terrible. And after what we saw tonight, things are
<v Speaker 1>set up perfectly if they could drag it out that
<v Speaker 1>long to do a triple threat. Now, how do you
<v Speaker 1>let's say Cody goes on to win, not the Rumble,
<v Speaker 1>but let's say he wins the Chamber and earns the
<v Speaker 1>right to Allen for the championship. You'd have to come
<v Speaker 1>up with some reason why Jacob would be inserted. And
<v Speaker 1>we still don't know how that storyline, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>is gonna play out with who attacked him a few
<v Speaker 1>months ago. But this was certainly set up to make
<v Speaker 1>you want to see all three of them in the
<v Speaker 1>ring together. And I would be totally fine with that
<v Speaker 1>being the WrestleMania match. But for the love of God,
<v Speaker 1>do not give me another Cody and Drew matche one.
<v Speaker 1>You cannot do that at WrestleMania when you have already
<v Speaker 1>given that to us so many times, and you just
<v Speaker 1>did really three matches in one if you want to count,
<v Speaker 1>if you want to, you can count three stages of
<v Speaker 1>hell as three separate matches. You're gonna run that back again,
<v Speaker 1>one on one at WrestleMania with what stipulation? What are
<v Speaker 1>you gonna do, Helena Cell? You already gave it to
<v Speaker 1>us in a cage. We don't need Helena Cell. What
<v Speaker 1>can you do? You add someone else to the mix hell.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe Jacob walks out of WrestleMania with the title, I'd
<v Speaker 1>be fine with that. We had Rhea Ripley and EO
<v Speaker 1>Sky defending the women's tag team titles against Live Morgan
<v Speaker 1>and Rock San Perez, the Ladies of the Judgment Day,
<v Speaker 1>so the Heels got heat on EO for a while here.
<v Speaker 1>Early in this match, Lived through EO around with some
<v Speaker 1>of the Three Amigos sup plexes, but again EO kicked
<v Speaker 1>out and Rhea's on the apron. She's dying to get
<v Speaker 1>that hot tag. So finally EO's reaching for the tag
<v Speaker 1>and Roxanne was able to hold her back and she
<v Speaker 1>starts stomping on EO's ankle. EO counter with a roll
<v Speaker 1>through into a double stomp, so we got two hot tags.
<v Speaker 1>Actually at the same time. Live Morgan tagged in and
<v Speaker 1>she was trying to avoid this, but it was inevitable.
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley didn't manage to get the tag, so we
<v Speaker 1>had old rivals now in the ring together with a
<v Speaker 1>Rhea and Live. Immediately, Rhea starts throwing her around. She
<v Speaker 1>had a fallaway slam before drop kicking Morgan clear across
<v Speaker 1>the ring, so Ripley goes for riptide. Live counters into
<v Speaker 1>a code breaker and Ripley. She caught her though, and
<v Speaker 1>she picked her up for a razor's edge. Morgan, though
<v Speaker 1>was able to wiggle out of it. She tagged in Roxanne.
<v Speaker 1>Ripley though headbutted Live anyway, and then booted Roxand down
<v Speaker 1>to the mat. Now later on, Rhea was able to
<v Speaker 1>down Morgan with a razor's edge. Eo basically punctuated things
<v Speaker 1>with a missile drop kick and Roxanne was able to
<v Speaker 1>sneak into there. She literally just snuck right past Rhea
<v Speaker 1>to break up the pen attempt. So Perez went for
<v Speaker 1>an around the world head scissors and ended up spiking Rhea.
<v Speaker 1>Rhea took this bump right on top of her head
<v Speaker 1>and rolled out to the floor. EO tagged in with
<v Speaker 1>a prone Live Morgan in the corner, and she charged
<v Speaker 1>in for the bullet train knees. Live moved out of
<v Speaker 1>the way though, and hit I guess, I wrote, spinning
<v Speaker 1>crucifix slam. I guess is what you would call is
<v Speaker 1>the best way I could describe. It didn't work. She
<v Speaker 1>only got a two count out of it, so Ripley
<v Speaker 1>on the outside, Perez went for a sunset bomb. Eo, though,
<v Speaker 1>countered with a kick to the face and then went
<v Speaker 1>up top. She was going to go for the over
<v Speaker 1>the Moon Salt. Perez though, got her feet up and
<v Speaker 1>then she hit pop Rocks and she had her dead
<v Speaker 1>to rights. She had Eo beat right in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of the ring. The referee stops the count before three
<v Speaker 1>because the spot was that Rhea Ripley was going to
<v Speaker 1>slide back into the ring and break up the pin.
<v Speaker 1>Except Rhea was late. Simple as that Ria missed her Q.
<v Speaker 1>She was late, so it looked terrible. So and like
<v Speaker 1>EO tried to get a shoulder up, but clearly it
<v Speaker 1>was late and the referee had to hold up. So
<v Speaker 1>that's bagap. But Riha tagged in. She hit rock Sand
<v Speaker 1>with a head butt and then she put her down
<v Speaker 1>with riptide. Eo tagged in hit the over the Moon
<v Speaker 1>Salt wet from the pin. But before the referee could
<v Speaker 1>count three, right, Ria Ripley is standing in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>She's watching right, They're about to win the match. All
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden, Raquel Rodriguez is at ring saying she
<v Speaker 1>must have been hiding under the ring because she's just
<v Speaker 1>standing there on the outside opposite the hard camp. She
<v Speaker 1>reaches in, she yanks Ria's legs out from under her.
<v Speaker 1>Riha then lands on top of the referee just before
<v Speaker 1>the referee could count three. So she got EO outside,
<v Speaker 1>did Raquel, and she ended up hitting a power bomb
<v Speaker 1>on the a hard power bomb too. She just fucking
<v Speaker 1>power bomb the shit out of her right on the
<v Speaker 1>floor outside before Raquel could do any more damage though,
<v Speaker 1>we hear Stephanie Vicker's music and outruns the women's world champion.
<v Speaker 1>She's healed, no walking boot. She wasn't limping to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>She ran down to the ring and she attacked Raquel,
<v Speaker 1>knocked her over the barricade into the crush. She stood
<v Speaker 1>on top of the barricade, did Stephanie, and she dove
<v Speaker 1>off the barricade onto Raquel. They had very limited space
<v Speaker 1>here to do anything because the fans were kind of
<v Speaker 1>like right on top of them. So Stephanie dives off
<v Speaker 1>the barricade and in like the weakest, safest way possible, like,
<v Speaker 1>Raquel catches her and then very very gently falls down
<v Speaker 1>to the ground. Again. They didn't have a lot of
<v Speaker 1>room to kind of maneuver out there, but anyway, off
<v Speaker 1>they went Meanwhile in the ring, Perez tried to steal
<v Speaker 1>one by pinning Eo, but she kicked out, so she
<v Speaker 1>tagged and Live Live rushes into the ring. She's like,
<v Speaker 1>tag me, tag me, so she tags in and she
<v Speaker 1>hits Oblivion, but she never saw Rhea Ripley blind tag
<v Speaker 1>herself into the match. So after she drops Eo, who
<v Speaker 1>had a pretty good to sell on the Oblivion, Ripley
<v Speaker 1>nailed her with a riptide and then stacked her up
<v Speaker 1>as only Rhea ken and got the pin to retain
<v Speaker 1>the women's tag team titles. That Ria missq where she
<v Speaker 1>got there late. That was really the uh that was
<v Speaker 1>kind of the main thing that stands out about this match.
<v Speaker 1>That was like, yeah, that that didn't look good. I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>there were some moments where I got a little ugly
<v Speaker 1>in there, but honestly, I really liked this match. I
<v Speaker 1>thought this was a very strong match. It was never boring,
<v Speaker 1>it was never slow. They got some good near falls
<v Speaker 1>out of it. That the cardinal sin of that women's
<v Speaker 1>I hated that women's match. Last night. Okay, they had
<v Speaker 1>a three way tag team Number one contenders match and
<v Speaker 1>it was Charlotte Flair and Alexibilis, Naya Jackson, Lash Legend,
<v Speaker 1>and Julia and Keanna James and they gave the win
<v Speaker 1>to Julia and Keana. But I thought the match, the
<v Speaker 1>match was so so boring and slow. Oh and I
<v Speaker 1>talked about like they had another one of these on
<v Speaker 1>NXT on Tuesday that was infinitely better and more exciting
<v Speaker 1>on NXT. And then you watched SmackDown last night, right,
<v Speaker 1>would just supposed to be the A show, the main
<v Speaker 1>roster show, and it's like they're they're like wrestling in
<v Speaker 1>slow motion, and I'm like, what's going on here? So
<v Speaker 1>this was just like a one eighty from what we
<v Speaker 1>got on Like they were sleeping through the match last night.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what was going on. But this match
<v Speaker 1>here was all action from start to finish, high energy,
<v Speaker 1>all action. I thought this was very good. So I
<v Speaker 1>enjoyed it and great to see Stephanie back already. I
<v Speaker 1>thought maybe she'd be out for a little bit longer.
<v Speaker 1>I don't expect to see her in the Rumble next week,
<v Speaker 1>because why would she be in the Royal Rumble. But
<v Speaker 1>there was talk that maybe she wouldn't even be back
<v Speaker 1>until closer to the elimination Chambers. So the fact that
<v Speaker 1>she was able to go out there and get physical
<v Speaker 1>tells me she's cleared and she's ready to go. So
<v Speaker 1>that's a good sign. And now Riya and Yeah, we'll
<v Speaker 1>defend the women's tag team titles. I don't know when.
<v Speaker 1>They haven't announced a date, but they will be defending
<v Speaker 1>it next against Keana James and Julia whenever that may be.
<v Speaker 1>But first, all these women are going to be in
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble next weekend. So after this, we had
<v Speaker 1>for the final time one on one AJ Styles and
<v Speaker 1>Shinsky Knackimore. Earlier today, Aj Styles tweeted this, I had
<v Speaker 1>some gear made for the Rumble, but I have decided
<v Speaker 1>that it's a perfect fit for my match with Nakamura tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and that gear turned out to be He was wearing
<v Speaker 1>a mask on his way down to the ring, and
<v Speaker 1>we were told on commentary that this was the first
<v Speaker 1>time that aj was wearing a mask to the ring
<v Speaker 1>in ten years. The last time that Aj Styles wore
<v Speaker 1>a mask, or maybe that mask, I don't know, but
<v Speaker 1>the last time he wore a mask to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>We were told ten years ago that would have been
<v Speaker 1>Russell king them that would have been right before weeks
<v Speaker 1>before he debuted in the Royal Rumble in WWE. It
<v Speaker 1>was again Shinsky Knockamore. There was Russell Kingdom ten, which
<v Speaker 1>turned out to be for each of them in both
<v Speaker 1>cases their final match, their final match, their final singles
<v Speaker 1>match in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and it was against
<v Speaker 1>each other, and it was a fucking great match still
<v Speaker 1>to this day, the best match those two ever had
<v Speaker 1>against each other. And so now here we are full circle.
<v Speaker 1>Ten years later, Aj comes out, masks on him and
<v Speaker 1>Knackamore in the ring one more time. Knackamore came out
<v Speaker 1>after this, and he was shirtless. He was wearing all
<v Speaker 1>he's got this red outfit and it's what he used
<v Speaker 1>to wear when he first debuted in WWE. He's probably
<v Speaker 1>wearing that New Japan too, but this is like what
<v Speaker 1>he was wearing in like the NXT days, the Black
<v Speaker 1>and Gold days, and when he first hit the main roster.
<v Speaker 1>So there was a lot of throwbacks here. On commentary,
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole pointed out that uh Aj once led the
<v Speaker 1>Bullet Club and Knockamora once led Chaos in New Japan
<v Speaker 1>Pro Wrestling, so we got some technical exchanges early on here.
<v Speaker 1>From these two back and forth, they locked up again.
<v Speaker 1>Knackamora was pushing Styles to the ropes, so he backed
<v Speaker 1>off at the referees request, and Styles did the bullet
<v Speaker 1>club gun gesture. Knackamora did the come on, came on.
<v Speaker 1>He did the come on, and so aj came towards him,
<v Speaker 1>so Styles ended up sending him outside jumped over the
<v Speaker 1>ropes onto him. Later on, Styles went for a Styles clash. Knockamura, though,
<v Speaker 1>was having none of it, and he countered out with
<v Speaker 1>a running knee strike. Knackamura set up for a keen shasa, Styles,
<v Speaker 1>though dodged it, pulled him down for a calf crusher,
<v Speaker 1>and Knackamora was screaming in pain and he was reaching
<v Speaker 1>for the ropes, trying to crawl for them. But he
<v Speaker 1>was locked in this hold for a while, and I
<v Speaker 1>mean a while, like he it felt like he was
<v Speaker 1>in this hold forever, and it was to the point
<v Speaker 1>where I really think that it It kind of killed
<v Speaker 1>it as a potential finish now for Styles to use
<v Speaker 1>in his match with Gun Through. He probably will use it,
<v Speaker 1>but I just think we just saw Shinskan Nakimore here.
<v Speaker 1>He was locked in this calf crusher forever and he
<v Speaker 1>refused to tap. He would not tap. Now, if Shinsky
<v Speaker 1>Nakimore is in this hold for fucking five minutes and
<v Speaker 1>refuses to tap, how am I supposed to believe that
<v Speaker 1>Gunther is going to tap to the calf crusher. So
<v Speaker 1>that's the only thing that kind of like made me go, eh,
<v Speaker 1>I would not have if the idea was that he
<v Speaker 1>was going to struggle in it and then eventually counter
<v Speaker 1>out or get to the ropes. He shouldn't have been
<v Speaker 1>in it for that long because that was the hole
<v Speaker 1>that aj used in the match with gun Through a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks ago, and I assumed it was going to
<v Speaker 1>play a role in their rematch as well, But now
<v Speaker 1>it kind of like, I don't know, it took a
<v Speaker 1>little something away from it, I think. So Knockomoor encountered
<v Speaker 1>out into a triangle Styles lifted him up though for
<v Speaker 1>a Styles clash. Shinske got out of it, and Stiles
<v Speaker 1>then hit this massive knee strike right to Knockimore's chin
<v Speaker 1>and just knocked him senseless. And you know what it
<v Speaker 1>made me think of? Like I saw this spot and
<v Speaker 1>it made me think of money in the bank twenty
<v Speaker 1>eleven and the step up knee that CM Punk gave
<v Speaker 1>to John's Cena. I don't know if you remember, but
<v Speaker 1>in that match, Seena was up against the ropes. He
<v Speaker 1>was kind of hanging in the ropes and Punk, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he does this thing where he'll do like a quick
<v Speaker 1>step up knee. He did one of them, and then
<v Speaker 1>he did a second one, and I think it was
<v Speaker 1>the second one. It connected flush and not even on
<v Speaker 1>the chin, like he fucking need him in the face,
<v Speaker 1>like in the nose. And they showed it in slow
<v Speaker 1>motion as they did here, and that's exactly what this
<v Speaker 1>reminded me of. Like, man, he I would not at
<v Speaker 1>all be shocked if he legitimately got his bell rung,
<v Speaker 1>but if he didn't, they made it look damn real.
<v Speaker 1>So that was a hell of a knee strike there.
<v Speaker 1>So Stiles picked him up. Two of them start trading
<v Speaker 1>forearms styles, hit the pel a kick that opened him
<v Speaker 1>up the to a kinshasset to the back of the
<v Speaker 1>neck and Knockamoura then went to the corner. He was
<v Speaker 1>going to try for a proper kinshasa, but then as
<v Speaker 1>he came out of the corner, his knee gave out
<v Speaker 1>on him because Aj was working the knee, the leg,
<v Speaker 1>the calf. He's been working that now for most of
<v Speaker 1>the match, so Stiles hit one of his own. Knockamoor,
<v Speaker 1>though grabbed the bottom rope at two and a half
<v Speaker 1>to kick out. After that knee strike, Stiles then hoisted
<v Speaker 1>Knackamoor up onto his shoulders and he hit a spinning
<v Speaker 1>rack slam or a rack bomb for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Stiles then set up for a phenomenal forearm. Knackamoor caught
<v Speaker 1>him on his shoulders before driving him to the mat
<v Speaker 1>covered him for a two count. So Shinsky then hit
<v Speaker 1>a I have to say, a shitty looking sling blade,
<v Speaker 1>and you know it was shitty because Wade Barrett tried
<v Speaker 1>to cover for it by it was like a five
<v Speaker 1>second delay. And then Wade Barrett's like, is a modified
<v Speaker 1>a modified sling blade. That's the easiest way, by the way, like,
<v Speaker 1>if somebody hits something that doesn't look good, just say, oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's like a modified version. That's the way you cover
<v Speaker 1>for it. So both men got to their feet and
<v Speaker 1>traded kicks and punches. Knock him or a head butted Styles.
<v Speaker 1>He rolled him into an armbar, Styles rolled on top
<v Speaker 1>of him, got a two count, which forced Knockamora to
<v Speaker 1>release the hold, so Shinsky went for a kinshasa Styles
<v Speaker 1>have blocked it. He tried to roll him into a
<v Speaker 1>calf crusher. Again, Knockamoura rolled through, stood up, and drilled
<v Speaker 1>him with another knee, so Knackamora went for another n Shassa.
<v Speaker 1>Styles moved and Knockamorra crashed into the corner. AJ charged
<v Speaker 1>him and Knockamoors sent him over the top to the apron.
<v Speaker 1>Styles wrenched Knockimore's leg over the top rope and then
<v Speaker 1>he hit the phenomenal forearm immediately transitioned into a Styles clash,
<v Speaker 1>which he attempted to go for the entire match. It
<v Speaker 1>was not until the very end that he finally was
<v Speaker 1>able to connect on the hold, and when he hit
<v Speaker 1>the move that's what won him the match. So at
<v Speaker 1>least in this kit now there were a lot of
<v Speaker 1>like back and forth knee strikes. It was just a
<v Speaker 1>very kind of hard hitting, you know match Ilia dragonov
<v Speaker 1>match where they're both bleeding when it's over. But it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't just like, oh, let's just hit our finishers over
<v Speaker 1>and over and over and kick out right, because that
<v Speaker 1>stuff get that shit gets old after a while, we
<v Speaker 1>see so much of that I liked, at least in
<v Speaker 1>this case. AJ must have gone for that styles clash,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know at least three times earlier in the match,
<v Speaker 1>could never do it, and when he finally gets it
<v Speaker 1>the very end, that's the move that wins the match
<v Speaker 1>for And when it was over, it felt like these
<v Speaker 1>two had been in a fucking war. I mean, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it felt like, Okay, this guy had to really earn
<v Speaker 1>that win. Even though Knakamora has not really been booked
<v Speaker 1>in a way where I would say, you know, not
<v Speaker 1>that some people wouldn't see him as someone with any credibility,
<v Speaker 1>but the way he's been booked on the main roster
<v Speaker 1>now for a few years, yeah, I wouldn't say that
<v Speaker 1>he's been booked as somebody that has a ton of
<v Speaker 1>credibility in the eyes of the fans. But it's almost
<v Speaker 1>like they were able to kind of roll back the
<v Speaker 1>hands of time here for one night, and this was
<v Speaker 1>fucking great. This was fantastic. And you know, AJ had
<v Speaker 1>the chance to go out there a few months ago
<v Speaker 1>in Perth and him and John CeNAT Crown Jewel. They
<v Speaker 1>were able to go out there and have one last
<v Speaker 1>classic together. The fans really responded to what all the
<v Speaker 1>callbacks and everything and just the atmosphee and those two
<v Speaker 1>always had great chemistry in the ring, more so than
<v Speaker 1>AJ and Nakamora did, because again they had some disappointing
<v Speaker 1>matches in WWE. I have in all the times that
<v Speaker 1>I saw John Cena and AJ styles one on one
<v Speaker 1>against each other in the ring, disappointing or underwhelming, those
<v Speaker 1>are not words I would use to describe any of
<v Speaker 1>their matches. They delivered every single time. I can't say
<v Speaker 1>that for AJ and Nakamoora, but I was happy that
<v Speaker 1>AJ was able to get that one last classic with
<v Speaker 1>John Cena, And I'm happy that these two were able
<v Speaker 1>to go out there considering some of the weaker matches
<v Speaker 1>they've had in years past together and have what I
<v Speaker 1>would consider to be, if not the best match that
<v Speaker 1>they have had since the Tokyo Dome, the second best.
<v Speaker 1>I say that because their Money in the Bank match
<v Speaker 1>in twenty eighteen was actually an excellent match, but it's
<v Speaker 1>been so long since I've seen it, I can't say
<v Speaker 1>for sure. If this one tops the Money in the Bank,
<v Speaker 1>I'd have to go back and rewatch it. So if
<v Speaker 1>this is not their best match since twenty sixteen, then
<v Speaker 1>it's their second best match. And I'm glad they had
<v Speaker 1>the chance, even on twenty four hours notice they put
<v Speaker 1>this together. I'm glad they had the chance to go
<v Speaker 1>out there and do it. Was back and forth all
<v Speaker 1>the way through. It was Knakamura's best match in years
<v Speaker 1>that I can say, and you know again, hopefully the
<v Speaker 1>first or second great match of this year, hopefully in
<v Speaker 1>a line of many more matches to come that AJ
<v Speaker 1>will have. That's the question, right because next weekend he's
<v Speaker 1>putting his career on the line against gunther In Riod
<v Speaker 1>and it's possible at least that it could be his
<v Speaker 1>last match. I just I refuse to believe that's the case.
<v Speaker 1>I just I can't. I can't see it. I can't
<v Speaker 1>see seven more days and guess what, that's it. The
<v Speaker 1>retirement run of AJ Styles has come to an end.
<v Speaker 1>I just think that would be absolutely ridiculous. But when
<v Speaker 1>the match was over, one more cool thing. They paid
<v Speaker 1>respect to each other, they were on their knees. We
<v Speaker 1>got the fist bump again. They recreated the fist bump
<v Speaker 1>from Russell Kingdom when they were in the ring on
<v Speaker 1>their knees, put the fist out, the other one puts
<v Speaker 1>the fist out. Just this great visual. They gave it
<v Speaker 1>to us again here and then they embraced So I
<v Speaker 1>thought that was just a great cherry on the Sunday
<v Speaker 1>there at the end. But now we wait to see
<v Speaker 1>what happens in the rematch with aj and Gunther can't
<v Speaker 1>be the end. I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
<v Speaker 1>There's just so many reasons. There's so many reasons to
<v Speaker 1>not believe that next weekend will be the last match
<v Speaker 1>of AJ Styles. I don't see him having his retirement
<v Speaker 1>match in Riod number one, number two. It's the first
<v Speaker 1>pl of the year. I'm not saying he's gonna wrestle
<v Speaker 1>for the entire year. But you're this close to WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>You mean to tell me you're not gonna get Aj
<v Speaker 1>Styles one more WrestleMania match. The fuck out of here,
<v Speaker 1>Get out of here. Main event of this show, the
<v Speaker 1>short card. We're already at the main event. Main event
<v Speaker 1>was a fatal four way number one contenders match for
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship, with the winner challenging Drew MacIntyre at
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble, Randy Orton, Damian Priest who came into
<v Speaker 1>this match with stitches in his mouth from his match
<v Speaker 1>last night, Trick Williams and Sammy Zain. Sammy of course
<v Speaker 1>got the biggest reaction of everybody who came out. Trick
<v Speaker 1>Williams though, was right behind him. Trick, where everyone's going,
<v Speaker 1>Whoop that trick, whooped that trick? He got the second
<v Speaker 1>I want to say second best because Randy Orton of
<v Speaker 1>course got a great reaction as well, but the fans
<v Speaker 1>were very animated for Trick's entrance. Trick Williams got a
<v Speaker 1>bigger reaction coming out than Damian Priest did. Think about that.
<v Speaker 1>The other thing I love also, I love how every
<v Speaker 1>time Randy Orton is out there, when Trick Williams is
<v Speaker 1>out there, he's always vibing to his theme music. He's
<v Speaker 1>always like bouncing up and down. Whoop that trick, Whoop
<v Speaker 1>that trick? Right, every single even last night. The way
<v Speaker 1>they ended SmackDown last night, they made you think that
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams was gonna be the last man standing, right,
<v Speaker 1>that was gonna be the parting shot of SmackDown. And
<v Speaker 1>then Randy Orton snuck up behind him, hitting RKO. I
<v Speaker 1>saw a fan video from someone in the front row
<v Speaker 1>right where Orton rolled out from under the ring as
<v Speaker 1>Trick was posing looking at the hardcam and he rolls
<v Speaker 1>out from under the ring. They're playing Tricks music, and
<v Speaker 1>before he gets into the ring, Randy's looking at the
<v Speaker 1>crowd and he's vibin. He's vibin, man, He's vibe into
<v Speaker 1>the music to the point where I thought, because the
<v Speaker 1>fans were already reacting, right, oh my god, it's Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>I was. I was feary, and I had already seen
<v Speaker 1>the show, so I know this didn't happen. But I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching the fan video and I'm like, he's lucky that
<v Speaker 1>Trick didn't turn around too early. You know. Now, I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure one of the referees outside gave him his cue,
<v Speaker 1>like okay, turn around. But if he was going based
<v Speaker 1>on crowd reaction, like Randy almost lost himself there for
<v Speaker 1>a second where instead of getting right into the ring
<v Speaker 1>and sneaking up behind him, he was like vibe into
<v Speaker 1>the music. It would have been funny if Trick just
<v Speaker 1>turned around expecting to eat an RKO and instead he
<v Speaker 1>just sees Randy dancing outside the ring. He was doing
<v Speaker 1>the same thing tonight though, oh Man. So the bell
<v Speaker 1>rang and Williams immediately bailed out to the floor. Orton
<v Speaker 1>went for an early rko he missed. He sent Priest out.
<v Speaker 1>That left Orton and Zayane to kick things off. Officially.
<v Speaker 1>Williams grabs Zaine by the ankle. He dragged him out
<v Speaker 1>of the ring. Orton followed. He took out Trick and
<v Speaker 1>then Priest launched him. Said he got a running start
<v Speaker 1>and he launched himself off the ring steps and he
<v Speaker 1>took out Orton and Trick. So this is how this
<v Speaker 1>match started. In the ring. A little bit later on,
<v Speaker 1>Williams caught Sammy with a spin kick and that allowed
<v Speaker 1>Priest to slam Trick. Priest then set up Sammy for
<v Speaker 1>a pile driver. Zaane countered out with the tornado DDT
<v Speaker 1>think he this might have been the spot. He kind
<v Speaker 1>of slipped a little bit in the ropes but hit
<v Speaker 1>the DDT find Then Sammy caught a returning Orton with
<v Speaker 1>a blue thunderbomb attempt Orton blocked it landed a power slam,
<v Speaker 1>so there was a blue thunderbomb though on Orton that
<v Speaker 1>followed for a two count. Orton crawled to the corner.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy charged it in for the Halluba kick trick. Williams
<v Speaker 1>though interrupted things. Priest followed Williams out of the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Trick though hit a booke end. I'll call it a
<v Speaker 1>book end because I know Booker T is a big
<v Speaker 1>fan of trick. Hit a book end to Damian Priest
<v Speaker 1>on the top part of the timekeeper's barricade. So then
<v Speaker 1>after this, the spot was that he brings Priest over.
<v Speaker 1>They're still outside the ring, but he brings him over
<v Speaker 1>towards the ring right, So if you're looking at the
<v Speaker 1>hardcam view, they're right there outside of the ring, and
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zine is going to do a flip dive out
<v Speaker 1>over the top onto both of them. He's going to
<v Speaker 1>wipe both of them out. Sammy does the flip dive
<v Speaker 1>and basically like barely even touches the two of them.
<v Speaker 1>He basically right on his tailbone, just splats on the
<v Speaker 1>floor and they both fall down and sell it anyway,
<v Speaker 1>Zay gets back into the ring. He hits Priest with
<v Speaker 1>an exploder in the corner. Zaye follows up with the
<v Speaker 1>Halluva kick he had priest pinned Trick. Williams though pulls
<v Speaker 1>the referee, Ryan Chan out of the ring, or Ryan
<v Speaker 1>Tran out of the ring. And now you know, Tran
<v Speaker 1>is looking at him and he's yelling at him, what
<v Speaker 1>are you doing? You can't do that, And they're just,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they're jawjacking back and forth outside the ring.
<v Speaker 1>So Orton then lambs all three opponents one and right
<v Speaker 1>after the other on the top part of the announced desk,
<v Speaker 1>and that left all of them down on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>Orton picks up Trick. He dumps him on the table
<v Speaker 1>again before rolling him back inside. Now Orton enters the
<v Speaker 1>ring and Trick scampers off onto the other side. Out
<v Speaker 1>on the other side, Sammy rolls up Orton, though for
<v Speaker 1>a two count Orton charges sim He moves Orton crashes
<v Speaker 1>and burns in the corner posts himself. Sammy then goes
<v Speaker 1>up top. He had to jump over a charging Orton.
<v Speaker 1>He avoided the RKO, he shoved off and then he
<v Speaker 1>tried for a halluva kick, but Orton dropped him with
<v Speaker 1>the RKO. But but here comes Trick Williams to throw
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton out of the ring. He is going to
<v Speaker 1>try to steal the pin, but Damian Priest returns to
<v Speaker 1>the ring and he breaks up the pen attempt. So
<v Speaker 1>now Orton hits a double draping DDT on Trick and
<v Speaker 1>on Priest and then Orton strikes the Viper's pose and
<v Speaker 1>he is getting set up for the RKO trick those
<v Speaker 1>shoves him towards Damian Priest, who hits the South of
<v Speaker 1>Heaven chokes lam. Trick again unsuccessfully tries to steal the pin.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy returns, he goes for a halluva kick, Trick avoids
<v Speaker 1>it and Trick goes up. Zaane cuts him off and
<v Speaker 1>he joins Trick on the ropes. Damian Priest then sneaks
<v Speaker 1>up behind Sammy's Ain and he grabs him by the
<v Speaker 1>arms and he delivers a razor's edge. Trick now is
<v Speaker 1>standing on the apron and he took a swing. Priest ducked.
<v Speaker 1>Priest then delivered a high kick to knock Trick to
<v Speaker 1>the floor, but then Sammy's Ain out of nowhere, comes
<v Speaker 1>charging into the corner with a halluva kick to Damian
<v Speaker 1>Priest and he pins Damian Priest to become the number
<v Speaker 1>one contender for the WWE Championship. Sammy is celebrating his win.
<v Speaker 1>They show his wife and his son looking on in
<v Speaker 1>the front row. He's on the ropes, he's celebrating. Here
<v Speaker 1>comes Drew McIntyre. We saw him earlier in the night,
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre. He sneaks into the ring. He tries to
<v Speaker 1>ambush Sammy. Sammy's able to avoid it and he sends
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre immediately back out to the floor. Drew then immediately
<v Speaker 1>picks up his belt and he leaves, so not much
<v Speaker 1>of an ambush attempt. Just like that, Drew McIntyre's attempt
<v Speaker 1>has been foiled, and that is how the show ended.
<v Speaker 1>So I thought it was a good main event. It
<v Speaker 1>was not my favorite thing on the show tonight, but
<v Speaker 1>they I thought kept a very good pace as far
<v Speaker 1>as the match. It was never like there was never
<v Speaker 1>a dull moment in this match. Everybody had, you know,
<v Speaker 1>ample time to shine and have their spots and get
<v Speaker 1>their shit in. This was first or tricks first big
<v Speaker 1>match on the main roster. He's only been up for
<v Speaker 1>a bet a month and at this point he's I
<v Speaker 1>think a couple of TV matches his second main event.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, he was in the main event last
<v Speaker 1>night against Damian Priest. That he was in the main
<v Speaker 1>event tonight against Damian Priest and Randy Orton and Sammy's Ain,
<v Speaker 1>So he hasn't been up for very long. He never
<v Speaker 1>felt out of place. He actually fits in quite well.
<v Speaker 1>So the finish predictable, right. I mean, most people I
<v Speaker 1>would imagine figured Samy's Ain was going to win. It
<v Speaker 1>was really one of two names. It was either Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton or it was Sammy's Ain. Trick Williams had no chance.
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest honestly had no chance. He really didn't. So
<v Speaker 1>it was either going to be Orton or Sammy. With
<v Speaker 1>the idea that if it was Orton, that would have
<v Speaker 1>made Sammy one of the I would say, one of
<v Speaker 1>the top three favor favorites to win the Royal Rumbele Match.
<v Speaker 1>But it just felt to me like he's not going
<v Speaker 1>to WrestleMania this year. There's a much better chance if
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's Ain is going to finish his story and get
<v Speaker 1>his moment and finally become a world champion, that it
<v Speaker 1>happens in Rihadna next year WrestleMania, but in Ria this
<v Speaker 1>year he gets his shot and he loses again, he
<v Speaker 1>loses again, and it just feeds into the larger story
<v Speaker 1>and they save the pay the payoff for later on,
<v Speaker 1>probably next year, because right now it's just not time.
<v Speaker 1>It's not his time yet. The one thing I will say,
<v Speaker 1>though I said earlier, there was one thing that surprised
<v Speaker 1>me about this match, Sammy winning. Figured that out already,
<v Speaker 1>I thought, though I thought for sure Sammy was going
<v Speaker 1>to pin Trick to win this match. The fact that
<v Speaker 1>they wouldn't even pin Trick in a four way like
<v Speaker 1>this with some big names and they pined Priest says
<v Speaker 1>a lot. It says a lot more so about just
<v Speaker 1>what they think of Trick Williams, but also it says
<v Speaker 1>I think kind of it says something about where Damian
<v Speaker 1>Priest is, you know, because this is a company that
<v Speaker 1>takes I mean, they go to painstaking land to protect
<v Speaker 1>people to the point where they don't need to be
<v Speaker 1>that protected. Like there are people on the roster who
<v Speaker 1>are over enough where if you beat them every now
<v Speaker 1>and then, if you pin them cleanly every now and then,
<v Speaker 1>it will not be a killer for their career. You know.
<v Speaker 1>Cody is one of those people. Riere Ripley is one
<v Speaker 1>of those like you can find people like that, and
<v Speaker 1>they don't. They didn't go out of their way to
<v Speaker 1>protec Damian Priest. They're like, yeah, you're taking the pin.
<v Speaker 1>We're not even gonna beat the new guy. We're gonna
<v Speaker 1>beat you though. It's okay, And I think that says
<v Speaker 1>a lot. It's said because you know, Priest comes out,
<v Speaker 1>he's not getting the reactions that these other guys are getting.
<v Speaker 1>And I've said this has been a problem since he
<v Speaker 1>came to SmackDown, since he left the Judgment Day and
<v Speaker 1>he left Monday Night Raw. He was still super over
<v Speaker 1>on Raw. Once they moved him to SmackDown, which I
<v Speaker 1>thought would be a good move, get him away from
<v Speaker 1>the Judgment Day and hopefully he can become one of
<v Speaker 1>the top names, like truly top three or four names
<v Speaker 1>on that brand. And it just it hasn't clicked yet.
<v Speaker 1>It just hasn't clicked. Now, last year he didn't get
<v Speaker 1>a lot of ring time. If you go back and
<v Speaker 1>look at his stats. I talked about this in the SoundOff,
<v Speaker 1>I think a couple months ago. The number of matches
<v Speaker 1>that he had in twenty twenty four as compared to
<v Speaker 1>the number of matches he had in twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 1>huge difference, And then he finally commented on it. He
<v Speaker 1>was on a podcast and he said, you know, I'm
<v Speaker 1>beat up. You know, my gut, my knees and this
<v Speaker 1>and that, my back. It's not like any one injury,
<v Speaker 1>but he's been. He's been very beat up, or at
<v Speaker 1>least last year he was, so they were trying to
<v Speaker 1>protect him from himself, and they kept him out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring a lot, so he wasn't wrestling a lot.
<v Speaker 1>The feud with Alistair Black, it was. It was a dud.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I just I thought it was boring. You know,
<v Speaker 1>some guys bring the best out of each other and
<v Speaker 1>some guys don't. And I don't think that that feud
<v Speaker 1>really did either of those guys any favors. It gave
<v Speaker 1>them something to do on TV, but I don't really
<v Speaker 1>see how it benefited either one of them. And Priests
<v Speaker 1>won the ambulance match, but what good did it do him.
<v Speaker 1>He just he's not over at the same level that
<v Speaker 1>he was un raw. It feels like it's time to
<v Speaker 1>really consider moving him back into the heel column. One
<v Speaker 1>of the things I've talked about lately is that SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>on the on the especially on the heel side, they
<v Speaker 1>are in dire need of some top heels on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I floated the idea of moving someone like
<v Speaker 1>Powerhouse Hobs, you know, into that spot, sending him right
<v Speaker 1>to the main roster. And I think he could really
<v Speaker 1>be someone who could potentially help on that on that side.
<v Speaker 1>But if you turn Damian Priest to hel I think,
<v Speaker 1>just given the state of things on SmackDown, that would
<v Speaker 1>probably be the better way to go. You know, just
<v Speaker 1>got to try something different. It just feels like it's
<v Speaker 1>not working. You can't tell me that they didn't expect
<v Speaker 1>him to be at a level higher than where he
<v Speaker 1>currently is on that SmackDown roster. It's just it's something
<v Speaker 1>is missing. Whether it's making him a heel and not
<v Speaker 1>a baby face, whether it's pairing him off again with
<v Speaker 1>someone or another group, I don't know, but there's definitely
<v Speaker 1>something that's missing there. But Top to Bottom again best
<v Speaker 1>Saturday Night's main event that they have done since the reboot. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's web at times, it's web a time. You know
<v Speaker 1>that that didn't help. I think you're right about that,
<v Speaker 1>that that did not help. Oh, he's got a great voice.
<v Speaker 1>He's got a voice that would look He's got a
<v Speaker 1>voice that reminds me of Samoa Joe and low key
<v Speaker 1>in that. I think he would be a great voice actor.
<v Speaker 1>But we're not talking about voice acting. We're talking about wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>and we're trying to heat this guy up so he
<v Speaker 1>could be a bigger player on SmackDown. But yes, he
<v Speaker 1>I think he has a good voice for voice acting
<v Speaker 1>and commercials. So anyway, not a terribly important show. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't call this an important show, but I thought it
<v Speaker 1>was a fine two hours, especially after that terrible three
<v Speaker 1>hours that we got last night. Take a look at
<v Speaker 1>the Twitter poll. What did you think of Saturday night's
<v Speaker 1>main event here from Montreal? Now? The question is you
<v Speaker 1>know who has the better voice of the of the
<v Speaker 1>two of us. Is it Damian Priest or is it
<v Speaker 1>the Solemn Monster. I'll leave that up to you. What
<v Speaker 1>did you think of this show? Thumbs up seventy six
<v Speaker 1>point four percent thumbs up, fourteen percent thumbs in the middle,
<v Speaker 1>and nine point six percent thumbs down. Much better than
<v Speaker 1>the score from last night, I'll tell you that much.
<v Speaker 1>I ever remember that what was the score? I don't
<v Speaker 1>even think we hit forty percent thumbs up for SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>last night. Way, if you want to vote on X,
<v Speaker 1>it is at Solo Monster and that is where you
<v Speaker 1>guys can go. Let me scroll back here so we
<v Speaker 1>can open up these super chats. There we go. I
<v Speaker 1>had to get them open first. There they are there,
<v Speaker 1>they are Solo Tone Beau Show. Thank you, Leopoldo. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it was, it was. It was thirty nine percent. It
<v Speaker 1>was thirty nine percent. Thumbs up last night, Joseph Stewart
<v Speaker 1>back with us again for another night, Joseph. I hope
<v Speaker 1>you're having a good Saturday and it's not gonna be
<v Speaker 1>snowing too badly where you are, says Frank Langella as
<v Speaker 1>Skeletor or Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Well, I thought
<v Speaker 1>they both did a fine job in their respective roles.
<v Speaker 1>But I gotta go Jack. Gotta go Jack as the
<v Speaker 1>Joker Jurassic Park or Godzilla Jurassic Park. Are you a
<v Speaker 1>fan of Dragon ball Z? No, says he Man or
<v Speaker 1>Luke Skywalker, he Man Skeletor or Darth Vader. See, I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna piss a lot of people off when I say this.
<v Speaker 1>Skeletor and Tila and Man at Arms and orco orco
<v Speaker 1>over Yoda all day long and Evil Inn. As you
<v Speaker 1>can tell Joseph, it's Masters of the Universe for me
<v Speaker 1>over Star Wars. Did I use did I used to
<v Speaker 1>own the Castle Gray Skull toys as a kid. I
<v Speaker 1>probably did. I honestly don't remember. I'm trying to think
<v Speaker 1>if I had that one. I had the Ghostbusters Firehouse,
<v Speaker 1>and I had the April O'Neil news Van, so I
<v Speaker 1>probably did have that. Have I seen the mel Brooks
<v Speaker 1>movie Dracula Dead and Loving it with Leslie Nielsen? Yes? Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it was quite funny. Power Rangers. Now, I didn't didn't
<v Speaker 1>really pay much attention to it when it first came out.
<v Speaker 1>Do I miss the WWF Live Wire show that used
<v Speaker 1>to come on Saturday mornings? I missed some of the
<v Speaker 1>some of the phone calls. Whatever happened to Bruce from Connecticut?
<v Speaker 1>That's what I want to know. A demolition man or
<v Speaker 1>Judge dread demolition Man stallone or Lundgren stallone? I remember
<v Speaker 1>the scene and who framed Roger Rabbit when Christopher Lloyd
<v Speaker 1>turned into a tune? Yes I do. Why did Macho
<v Speaker 1>Man and Gorgeous George disappear from ww television after Vince
<v Speaker 1>Russo came in. I don't remember exactly why. I know
<v Speaker 1>if it was it's an injury or just Russo. He
<v Speaker 1>was probably moving away from using some of those guys.
<v Speaker 1>He was at least making an attempt to use some
<v Speaker 1>of the younger talents, but just some of the things
<v Speaker 1>he was doing with them were ridiculous. Have I seen
<v Speaker 1>the movie total recall? Of course, who hasn't. Who hasn't
<v Speaker 1>four point fifty four? By the way, on the likes,
<v Speaker 1>we'll do be the booker here in a moment, he says,
<v Speaker 1>I'll be watching Empire Strikes Back tonight. Well, I hope
<v Speaker 1>you're watching it after the stream and not before. But Joseph,
<v Speaker 1>thank you as always enjoy the Empire Striking Back, which
<v Speaker 1>I've never seen. Uh, we gotta dried ribs and chicken. Logan,
<v Speaker 1>Paul Logan, Paul the big defender of Triple H. He says,
<v Speaker 1>the cult of Papa H soldiers are worse than the
<v Speaker 1>TNA soldier. You say that, but you didn't experience the
<v Speaker 1>TNA soldiers soldiers like I did back in the day.
<v Speaker 1>I'll never forget the general, the colonel whatever. He was
<v Speaker 1>with the furry hat. Don't ask if you weren't around
<v Speaker 1>for that whole fiasco, don't even ask. Those were Those
<v Speaker 1>were fun times. Though. We need dark Alexa aka Twisted
<v Speaker 1>Bliss back to the dark side soon, eh? Do we
<v Speaker 1>dried ribs and Chicken? After watching WWE Unrels Season two,
<v Speaker 1>somebody mentioned the macho man there is after watching WWE
<v Speaker 1>Unreals Season two. I said it before and I'll say
<v Speaker 1>it again. After WrestleMania road Dog Bruce Pritchard Michael Hay
<v Speaker 1>should be given their flowers and fruit baskets and part
<v Speaker 1>ways with w w E. Well, that's not gonna happen.
<v Speaker 1>They are embedded in the system. We got big Money Jackson?
<v Speaker 1>Is that the bossmo Jackson? I don't know is at
<v Speaker 1>this point? I'm expecting another bad year for WWE. You're
<v Speaker 1>expecting a bad year for WWE. I hope not. I've
<v Speaker 1>got a lot of WWE television I gotta watch this year,
<v Speaker 1>Although if it's as bad as it was last night,
<v Speaker 1>in that final hour or ninety minutes or so, could
<v Speaker 1>make for some entertaining content. Says also looking forward to
<v Speaker 1>Masters of the Universe this summer, Yeah, I think it
<v Speaker 1>comes at as June fifth. It's I think in June.
<v Speaker 1>I think that comes out in June. PJK says, I
<v Speaker 1>dislike unreal. A lot of people do Jackson big money.
<v Speaker 1>Jackson says riptide is a weak move. Also, sloppiness and
<v Speaker 1>sluggishness is becoming a regular thing in WWE matches. At
<v Speaker 1>this point, NXT is better than the main roster. The
<v Speaker 1>main roster sucks big time. Nakamora is the Japanese Michael Jackson. Well,
<v Speaker 1>that was his inspiration. There's a reason why you see
<v Speaker 1>some Michael Jackson in Shinsky. Nakamora when he comes out
<v Speaker 1>Holiday one ninety seven says, hey, solo, it seems like
<v Speaker 1>we may get a triple threat now between Drew, Cody,
<v Speaker 1>and Jacob. Looking forward to the match, the question is
<v Speaker 1>do they pull the trigger and put the title on Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>I'd love it. I'd love it, But if if the
<v Speaker 1>choice is, uh, you know Cody and Drew or Cody
<v Speaker 1>you know Drew, or the two of them doing something
<v Speaker 1>like you can't do Cody and Drew one on one
<v Speaker 1>again at Wrestle Made. You can't do that. You can't
<v Speaker 1>do that. You gotta have Jacob in there. You gotta
<v Speaker 1>have Jacob Orton, you got have somebody else in there
<v Speaker 1>with them. Jackson says, A j Again's Knackamora best match
<v Speaker 1>I've seen in a while. It was quite good. Chasa says,
<v Speaker 1>do you think they change Gunther's name because Walter is
<v Speaker 1>the guy in breaking bed cooking meth? No? I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that had anything to do with it.
<v Speaker 1>Saint Clairs's random question, but do you think Rhino could
<v Speaker 1>have been a solid mid card heel champion in WWE
<v Speaker 1>aside from the US title run during the Invasion? I do.
<v Speaker 1>I think he absolutely could have been mid card like
<v Speaker 1>upper mid card and big money. Jackson says, I love
<v Speaker 1>Fatal four Ways and this match is fire. GMB is
<v Speaker 1>with us. I miss Bianca so much. Hope she's cleared.
<v Speaker 1>You and me both can't believe it's almost been a year.
<v Speaker 1>The Italian Stallion says, Hey, Solo Monster, what do you
<v Speaker 1>think of unreal show? It's strange because it's interesting to
<v Speaker 1>watch and see what goes on. However, it has destroyed
<v Speaker 1>the business for me, even though we already knew. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I kind of just take it for what it is.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that everything you see on that show
<v Speaker 1>is real. You know, you can kind of watch certain
<v Speaker 1>things and suspect is this being manufactured for a certain reason,
<v Speaker 1>and then other things, you know, come come across very real,
<v Speaker 1>like the stuff with Lyra, especially when she shit the
<v Speaker 1>bed with Becky and they had that match at Summer Slim.
<v Speaker 1>She was very upset about that. Chelsea. You know, there's
<v Speaker 1>some people who come across well, others who do not.
<v Speaker 1>I'll save it for a more uh not even in depth.
<v Speaker 1>I mean when I when I I'm not done yet
<v Speaker 1>watching the last episodes, so I'm probably not gonna review
<v Speaker 1>it on the podcast tomorrow, but when I'm done with Unreal,
<v Speaker 1>I'll give you my thoughts on the season overall, as
<v Speaker 1>far as you know. Do I hate I don't hate it,
<v Speaker 1>I don't love it. I take it for what it is.
<v Speaker 1>I enjoy parts of it. I dislike other parts of it.
<v Speaker 1>My feelings so far on season two are not unlike
<v Speaker 1>my feelings for season one. They're really not radically different.
<v Speaker 1>Bass Beers says, I missed the show. I need a review. Well,
<v Speaker 1>it's a good thing. Somebody is talking about the show
<v Speaker 1>tonight on YouTube. Lucky for you, Italian Stallion says that
<v Speaker 1>this show was useless and a waste of my time. However,
<v Speaker 1>I'll just leave it that because I'm not a wrestler,
<v Speaker 1>so I have to sit down, cross my legs and
<v Speaker 1>be quiet. That's right, that's right. Better listen to moose Hey, Paul,
<v Speaker 1>what's going on? Last three matches played out better than anticipated?
<v Speaker 1>The last three matches, you mean, the only three matches.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, technically we didn't have that fourth match today
<v Speaker 1>because the bell never rang. Why do you do the
<v Speaker 1>intro before coming on screen? Is it to allow more
<v Speaker 1>viewers a chance to jo I thought people already kind
<v Speaker 1>of knew this. It just seems so obvious to me,
<v Speaker 1>but I have to constantly explain this to people. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it is the difference between if I just literally come
<v Speaker 1>on screen and so hi guys, and just go right
<v Speaker 1>into the fucking review. It's the difference between having one
<v Speaker 1>hundred people or having six hundred people. I would much
<v Speaker 1>rather have five or six hundred people at the beginning
<v Speaker 1>and then it grows from there. But at least I
<v Speaker 1>have those five hundred. When I'm getting into the early
<v Speaker 1>part of the review, people come in and go, oh shit,
<v Speaker 1>I got to start from the beginning, you know, and
<v Speaker 1>I try to keep it to three or four minutes. Max.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that's unreasonable, but apparently some people. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not not you, but you should see some of these
<v Speaker 1>fucking comments. I get, holy shit, their time is so precious,
<v Speaker 1>I know, but yes, that's why it's done that way.
<v Speaker 1>Ride Ribson Chicken. If Cody Rose would ever turn heel
<v Speaker 1>I hope it's characteristics has inspirations of Homelander, Doctor Doom,
<v Speaker 1>and Harvey Dent. I mean, that's a lot of different
<v Speaker 1>characters there that you just named. I mean says you're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have half his face, he's gonna be painted, he'll
<v Speaker 1>have the Doctor Doom hood. And then Homelander. Is that
<v Speaker 1>is that the boys that show? The Boys? I haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen it yet. I don't know too much about Homelander.
<v Speaker 1>We've got daf's of VIDs. Is UFC competing with WWE
<v Speaker 1>now Saturday Night's main event versus UFC three twenty four
<v Speaker 1>and Royal Rumble against UFC three twenty five next Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>Has this happened before? If so, why I'm watching both?
<v Speaker 1>I feel like usually they try to avoid each other,
<v Speaker 1>but honestly, I mean, and again, I'm not a huge
<v Speaker 1>Maybe you're a bigger MMA fan than I am, But like,
<v Speaker 1>UFC just fucking sucks now, dude, Like UFC ain't what
<v Speaker 1>it used to be. I don't hear as many people
<v Speaker 1>even talking about it anymore. Like who are the stars? Like?
<v Speaker 1>Who are the big name games right now in UFC?
<v Speaker 1>Who are the big attractions in UFC? I don't think
<v Speaker 1>there's a whole lot of competition going on there right now.
<v Speaker 1>Phil says, Hei Solo, hope you're staying warm in the storm.
<v Speaker 1>I skipped Saturday night's main event to watch the Triple
<v Speaker 1>A Show instead. What did I miss? Now? You missed
<v Speaker 1>some good matches. You should go back and check them out. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I think that Triple A show was taped right. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think it was live tonight there, It was taped
<v Speaker 1>last week. They have their weekly show now on Fox
<v Speaker 1>in Mexico, which WWE so far has been streaming on
<v Speaker 1>their YouTube channel this week, this weekend, last week in
<v Speaker 1>UFC is in it's two thousand and four SmackDown era?
<v Speaker 1>Are we sure it's not more like a nineteen ninety
<v Speaker 1>five WWF era. Well, at least they got their seven
<v Speaker 1>billion dollars from Paramount, so they're happy. Alexander says Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre needs to come out to broken dreams he did
<v Speaker 1>a few years ago. It's probably not going back to it. Hey, Justin,
<v Speaker 1>what's going on? Nineteen ninety nine, super chat, No questions,
<v Speaker 1>just showing love. Keep up the great job. Hey, I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate that, Justin. That's very kind to you. Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>MLK zero one zero. My predictions for the final two
<v Speaker 1>for both the Rumble matches or La Night and bron
<v Speaker 1>Breaker for the men, Bianca and soul Ruka for the
<v Speaker 1>women's here you Go not bad Bobby means a triple
<v Speaker 1>threat at Madia makes sense to me. You cannot have
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Drew one on one again now. When it
<v Speaker 1>comes to the Rumble, I think Broun should win it.
<v Speaker 1>It would be nice to have a newer name who
<v Speaker 1>hasn't won it already. Leopoldo AJ's mask was badass. Love
<v Speaker 1>that he wore it tonight. Yeah, it was pretty cool. Also,
<v Speaker 1>Shin not tapping to calf Crusher should have been at
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania thirty four and a great hand jobs and more.
<v Speaker 1>Fa Too is looking amazing since his return. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>think he slimmed down a little bit more. That's probably
<v Speaker 1>why he had the shirt off when he came out.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's good to have him back in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and it's good to have him in that top mix,
<v Speaker 1>and I hope he stays there Holiday one ninety seven. Unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>I have a feeling AJ's last match will be at
<v Speaker 1>the Rumble. It would mark ten years since his WWE
<v Speaker 1>debut and likely be the end of his current contract,
<v Speaker 1>and they'll want to give the Saudis a big moment
<v Speaker 1>on the show. I don't give a shit fuck their
<v Speaker 1>big moment. Next week can't be the end You're gonna
<v Speaker 1>start the year and then just boot him out of there.
<v Speaker 1>We literally, literally last month we had John Cena's final match,
<v Speaker 1>So you mean to tell me that one month later
<v Speaker 1>is when AJ checks out. We wrestle Mania right around
<v Speaker 1>the corner. I can't accept that Jamie Dorsh is a
<v Speaker 1>no DQ match and a no holds barred match the
<v Speaker 1>same thing, or is there a difference. There is no difference.
<v Speaker 1>They are the exact same thing. We got. Dallas Caballero says,
<v Speaker 1>the next WWE game is Attitude Era slash Monday Night
<v Speaker 1>War themed that was twenty eight years ago. When are
<v Speaker 1>we going to move on? It's like in ninety eight
<v Speaker 1>reminiscing about the Sam Martino era. I think it just
<v Speaker 1>goes to show how how many eras we've gone through
<v Speaker 1>since then, and how many shitty years we've had. They
<v Speaker 1>haven't all been shitty, but for so long it felt
<v Speaker 1>like they were trying to chase that same you know,
<v Speaker 1>success that they had, but they couldn't quite take it
<v Speaker 1>as far as they did, because there's a lot of
<v Speaker 1>bad stuff in the Attitude era too, But it's just
<v Speaker 1>one of those things where you know, they had Austin
<v Speaker 1>and rock lightning in a bottle. You're never gonna have
<v Speaker 1>that again. You're never going to have an era in
<v Speaker 1>this company where you have two huge stars, two huge
<v Speaker 1>babyfaces that just shrike fucking gold simultaneously. The way that
<v Speaker 1>you did with those two, they got so lucky. And
<v Speaker 1>you know who they have to thank for that, Jim Ross,
<v Speaker 1>because he's the one who recruited both of them. But
<v Speaker 1>it was them and of course everything else, it just
<v Speaker 1>came together. It was just the perfect storm. The competition
<v Speaker 1>from WCW. It motivated them to be better and to
<v Speaker 1>be you know, a little more open to trying out
<v Speaker 1>new things. And we had the the nWo and everything else.
<v Speaker 1>It was just like, you can't recreate that, you can't
<v Speaker 1>manufacture that. They've been chasing that ever since. I mean
<v Speaker 1>that anyway they can milk it. Believe me, they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>do it. They know that if they build this game
<v Speaker 1>around the Attitude era and the Monday Night Wore It,
<v Speaker 1>it's still gonna sell. Of course it's gonna It's always
<v Speaker 1>gonna sell. They've been romanticizing that error for so many years. Hey, Jake,
<v Speaker 1>what's going on? Big Money Jackson says, Yes, the boss
<v Speaker 1>Moo Jackson is now Big Money Jackson. Okay, good to know.
<v Speaker 1>And Michael Miranda with a ten spot no message, just
<v Speaker 1>showing some up. Hey Michael, I appreciate that, Thank you. Brother.
<v Speaker 1>Leopoldo says right now would be a good time for
<v Speaker 1>Punk to join the UFC. Yeah, I think that would
<v Speaker 1>be a pretty terrible idea actually, And duffs Vid says,
<v Speaker 1>I gotta say, I haven't watched UFC since the mid
<v Speaker 1>to late two thousands, and tonight's UFC one for me
<v Speaker 1>had blood. Well, I mean, I don't imagine most of
<v Speaker 1>them had Blood Had Blood on SmackDown last night from
<v Speaker 1>Ilia Dragonov main event intros going on now and one
<v Speaker 1>guy cut a promo after his win, kind of like
<v Speaker 1>macho Man. Well, if you're gonna copy anyone's promos, macho
<v Speaker 1>Man would be a good one to learn from. For
<v Speaker 1>Punk to get his two wins back, you could send
<v Speaker 1>Punk back to the UFC, and instead of getting his
<v Speaker 1>two wins back, he'll have four losses. Okay, so that's
<v Speaker 1>just a bad idea. Let's not do Let's take our
<v Speaker 1>world heavyweight champion and send him back to the UFC.
<v Speaker 1>You think the shoulder Demon is bad, you'll have to
<v Speaker 1>deal with the shoulder Demon, the knee Demon, the neck Demon,
<v Speaker 1>the ankle Demon. They're all going to attack the ball
<v Speaker 1>at once. Remember the movie Ghost the end of the
<v Speaker 1>movie when they take the guy the friend you all
<v Speaker 1>like the black evil spirits from hell, They all like
<v Speaker 1>grab him and to take him away. That's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>all the demons taking Punk away. All right, Well, we
<v Speaker 1>smashed the like Skull, which means that I owe you
<v Speaker 1>around to be the booker. We had two of them
<v Speaker 1>last night. We got one of them tonight, So let's
<v Speaker 1>do it. Ladies and gentlemen, It is now time to
<v Speaker 1>be the Booker, the whole body. Forget the shoulder demon,
<v Speaker 1>will be the body demon. Every part of his body
<v Speaker 1>will be broken. What did I think of the more
<v Speaker 1>to Kai character? Not really a fan, Not that it
<v Speaker 1>had a whole lot of time to play out on TV,
<v Speaker 1>but yeah, I'm not really a fan. All Right, we
<v Speaker 1>got the the APA. If you're looking for some protection,
<v Speaker 1>you don't go with Trojan, you go with the APA.
<v Speaker 1>Farouke and Bradshaw, Nick All. This calls for you to
<v Speaker 1>add a stipulation. We're already starting with the stipulation. This
<v Speaker 1>is what happened last night. We actually ended up with
<v Speaker 1>I think a double sweep last night. Last night, the
<v Speaker 1>two rounds turned into something very interesting. Ay, so we
<v Speaker 1>got to pick a stipulation here for this APA tag
<v Speaker 1>team match, they're gonna be in full Metal Mayhem. It
<v Speaker 1>is a full Metal Mayhem match for Ruken Bradshaw against
<v Speaker 1>Caine and the Big Show in full Metal Mayhem. Now,
<v Speaker 1>if this was the APA against canaan big show, not
<v Speaker 1>a fan Canaan big show against the APA with ladders
<v Speaker 1>and stuff, that at least makes it a little more interesting.
<v Speaker 1>I'll allow it. At least we got a stipulation in there.
<v Speaker 1>But the idea of either one of these guys climbing
<v Speaker 1>the ladder is just ridiculous. They can use them as
<v Speaker 1>weapons climbing though, that's a different story. We have sky Blue,
<v Speaker 1>who we actually landed on just last night. I believe
<v Speaker 1>it was sky wasn't it sky Blue against Makos Atamora
<v Speaker 1>last night? She's back again. She's back for more, sky Blue.
<v Speaker 1>It'll be taking on Tiffany Stratton, who I suspect we
<v Speaker 1>will see back in the Royal Rumble. Apparently she's been
<v Speaker 1>dealing with an injury of some kind, but I would
<v Speaker 1>imagine if it was a serious injury that was going
<v Speaker 1>to keep her out for a long time, we would
<v Speaker 1>have heard about that. All right, Well, we're two for two.
<v Speaker 1>I can't say it's an enthusiastic two for two, but
<v Speaker 1>we are two for two so far. Let me get
<v Speaker 1>one more. Let's see, let's see how we can end
<v Speaker 1>things here. Ah, fine, start, we have our Samoan named Joe,
<v Speaker 1>who looks like he's in a foul mood. He always
<v Speaker 1>looks like he's in a foul mood. Samoa Joe she's
<v Speaker 1>been dealing with the shoulder demon probably like everybody else.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, Samoa Joe against Brett the Hitman hearts
<v Speaker 1>do Believe for the first time and Be the Booker history.
<v Speaker 1>We have had three three straight rounds, back to back
<v Speaker 1>nights of Be the Booker that are a clean sweep.
<v Speaker 1>Never been done before, three rounds in a row. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but you talk about matches that would have been cool
<v Speaker 1>to see that we missed out on Brett Hart and
<v Speaker 1>Samoa and Joe. I feel like those two would work
<v Speaker 1>very well together. I do. They would work very well.
<v Speaker 1>To ah, Joe versus Brett, Brett versus a lot of guys,
<v Speaker 1>none more so than kurd Angle. But that's a match
<v Speaker 1>I would have loved to have seen. I bet Brett
<v Speaker 1>would hate Joe, says Bliss Fan. Why would he. Joe
<v Speaker 1>doesn't shop people any more so than anybody else does.
<v Speaker 1>I think he would like Joe. Imagine Joe doing the
<v Speaker 1>nope spot to Brett. It'd be priceless. Joe taps out well,
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't have to tap out Brett. Brett found different
<v Speaker 1>ways to beat people. He didn't always tap them out
<v Speaker 1>in the Sharpshooter. It's one of the things I loved
<v Speaker 1>about Brett. Even the night he won King of the Ring,
<v Speaker 1>he won three different matches in the same night. Not
<v Speaker 1>one of them did he win with a sharpshooter. I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure he would find he would find a way, he
<v Speaker 1>would find a way to beat Joe. He will find
<v Speaker 1>something about Joe to hate and give him time. Did
<v Speaker 1>Brett have beef with Joe over Tyson Kitt I don't remember. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>if he did, I actually don't remember, but that I
<v Speaker 1>would not be holding Joe responsible for that. Even I
<v Speaker 1>think Tyson Kidd has said that was just a culmination
<v Speaker 1>of years of bumps and then just one, you know,
<v Speaker 1>one wrong bump at the wrong time, and that was
<v Speaker 1>a bad injury. I think he said that he was
<v Speaker 1>in the five percent of he was told that he
<v Speaker 1>was in the five percent of people who actually survive
<v Speaker 1>that kind of injury. It was like it was almost
<v Speaker 1>like an internal decapitation or something like. It was a really,
<v Speaker 1>really bad injury. It's a good thing he didn't, you know,
<v Speaker 1>get carried away the way that those idiots carried that
<v Speaker 1>UFC fighter off the stage. The other day during the
<v Speaker 1>weigh ends, when he collapsed from the weight cut. Did
<v Speaker 1>you see that video? That was scary. This guy weighed
<v Speaker 1>in and he gets off the scale and he goes
<v Speaker 1>to walk off stage and he kind of stumbles a
<v Speaker 1>little bit and he just collapses face first. Somehow, he
<v Speaker 1>only ended up with stitches in his chin. He's lucky
<v Speaker 1>he didn't knock all of his teeth out, but he
<v Speaker 1>just collapsed face first. This guy, I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>he was trying to weigh in at and what he
<v Speaker 1>weighed before, but like these like this weight cutting is
<v Speaker 1>just ridiculous. It's just out of control. But then like
<v Speaker 1>he's laying there for a while, and eventually he sits
<v Speaker 1>up because he's dehydrated, and he sits up, but then
<v Speaker 1>he ends up back down on the ground again, and
<v Speaker 1>these fucking schmucks they pick him up. His body is limp,
<v Speaker 1>his neck is like swinging around all over the place,
<v Speaker 1>and they carry him off the stage, like that's not
<v Speaker 1>how you're supposed to do it, because you don't know
<v Speaker 1>if he suffered some sort of you know, neck injury
<v Speaker 1>when he fell initially at least stabilized the person's neck. Oe,
<v Speaker 1>We'll just pick him up. Body's limp, just carry him
<v Speaker 1>off the stage. Imagine if they carry Tyson Kid out
<v Speaker 1>of the ring like that, he would have been dead
<v Speaker 1>before he even got to the back. Fucking idiots. Hey, Griga,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for the gifted membership. It says five dollars.
<v Speaker 1>Super chat from Griga is just showing some love solo.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, Griga. Super Pony says Joe Goldberg. If you
<v Speaker 1>know you know Joe Goldberg, are you talking about Mike
<v Speaker 1>Goldberg or is there some joke here that I'm not
<v Speaker 1>aware of? Anyway, thank you for hanging out with me
<v Speaker 1>here on a Saturday Night. Tomorrow is zound Off. Episode
<v Speaker 1>nine got a lot of ground to cover. We'll talk
<v Speaker 1>more about the fallout from Saturday Night's made event, but
<v Speaker 1>I will have my predictions for the Royal Rumble. There
<v Speaker 1>was also a death in the wrestling family, a legend
<v Speaker 1>this week. I will talk about him as well on
<v Speaker 1>the podcast. I will give my thoughts, my honest thoughts
<v Speaker 1>on the entire Tramegel situation and what happened there. And
<v Speaker 1>there's a bunch of other things too. There was an
<v Speaker 1>aw story in the Hollywood Reporter about you know, some
<v Speaker 1>some stuff in terms of Warner Brothers Discovery. I mean
<v Speaker 1>there's a bunch of stuff, so you'll want to tune
<v Speaker 1>in for this show tomorrow. That'll be episode nine eight. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Navy forty one to eighty one. Watching Michael Hayes take
<v Speaker 1>credit for producing a match as like a little brother
<v Speaker 1>thinking he beat a video game while his controller was unplugged. Well,
<v Speaker 1>at least he wears a funny hat, so there is that.
<v Speaker 1>That wasn't even the most offensive thing that Michael Hayes
<v Speaker 1>said on Unreal. I talked a little bit about what
<v Speaker 1>I thought that was last night on the stream, and
<v Speaker 1>whenever I get around to talking about Unreal, I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>I'll bring it up again. But that wasn't even the
<v Speaker 1>most offensive thing. But thunder Force says, for me, the
<v Speaker 1>worst time WWE was when being over protective with their
<v Speaker 1>talents was during the Golden Era due to the number
<v Speaker 1>of dques and countouts that occurred even on pay per view. Dude,
<v Speaker 1>it was. I'll tell you how out of control it was,
<v Speaker 1>because I've seen it on the vault. They upload a
<v Speaker 1>lot of Coliseum home videos. These are colisseum right, this
<v Speaker 1>is not even airing on television. And if I tell
<v Speaker 1>you the number of matches where guys just get counted out.
<v Speaker 1>They just leave the ring and they walk out and
<v Speaker 1>they get counted out. It's just ridiculous. It's the point
<v Speaker 1>of absurdity. They were like allergic to clean finishes and matches, Like,
<v Speaker 1>is it really gonna kill Hacksaw Jim Duggan to lose
<v Speaker 1>a fucking match? Really, So you're not wrong about that.
<v Speaker 1>They were terrified, either terrified of beating people or just
<v Speaker 1>people just were refusing to lose. But even I feel like,
<v Speaker 1>even if you look at some of the WrestleManias, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like on the undercard, some of those matches and some
<v Speaker 1>of the finishes like in the early WrestleManias, it's just ridiculous.
<v Speaker 1>All right, be well, stay safe. Thank you for all
<v Speaker 1>I love, Thank you for hanging out with me here
<v Speaker 1>on a Saturday. And whatever part of the country or
<v Speaker 1>the storm sphere you may be in right now, just
<v Speaker 1>stay safe with the weather. It's gonna get nasty. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna get nasty these next couple of days. Toya says,
<v Speaker 1>I'm here. I'm drunk while I'm here. Hi, Solo, you
<v Speaker 1>must be because you've stumbled in here at the very end.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, Toya and Leopoldo. Why is Solo such a
<v Speaker 1>punk hater? One UFC win Lol, Yeah, that's always my
<v Speaker 1>favorite thing. Why are you so mean they'll see him punk?
<v Speaker 1>What did he ever do to you? Yeah, Devin? What
<v Speaker 1>kind of heel does Solo like? More funny, entertaining love
<v Speaker 1>to hate heels like the rock or a traditional, serious,
<v Speaker 1>no nonsense heels like Triple H. Well I like Triple A.
<v Speaker 1>I like the rock over Triple AH. So I was
<v Speaker 1>gonna say traditional, more serious, no nonsense heals, but given
<v Speaker 1>the examples that you listed there, I would take the
<v Speaker 1>rock over Triple H. So I don't know what to think. Now.
<v Speaker 1>I have to I have to uh reevaluate my whole
<v Speaker 1>my whole life. Now, I'm not sure, super Pony, how
<v Speaker 1>do you hate punk so much? I know, I know?
<v Speaker 1>How is it possible for me? It is because punk
<v Speaker 1>is a Blackhawks fan. Yeah, Triple H. Triple H two
<v Speaker 1>thousand into two thousand and one was the best version
<v Speaker 1>of Triple H. I've always said that, always said that
<v Speaker 1>always will. All right, I'm gonna get out of here.
<v Speaker 1>Hit that leg button on your way out if you
<v Speaker 1>have not already done so. In a week where we
<v Speaker 1>hit ninety K, thank you very much. Live Monday night
<v Speaker 1>back here for the raw post show, and then, of
<v Speaker 1>course we got the Royal rumble coming up, so let's
<v Speaker 1>end the month strong. I can't do it without you.
<v Speaker 1>I will see you guys then and tomorrow for Night
<v Speaker 1>forty eight. Until then, take care, guys,
