<v Speaker 1>AW Dynamite Tonight was an interesting show. There was actually
<v Speaker 1>quite a bit going on, and we now know how
<v Speaker 1>they intend to decide on mjf's challenger for Revolution. Now.
<v Speaker 1>AAW does not have any pay per views until March fifteenth,
<v Speaker 1>so we have a waste to go. But they are
<v Speaker 1>essentially doing a small tournament to decide on who the
<v Speaker 1>Revolution opponent is going to be. And it all kicked
<v Speaker 1>off tonight in the main event because we had a
<v Speaker 1>main event of Swerve Strickland one on one with Andrade
<v Speaker 1>l Edelo in what ended up being Andrede's biggest win
<v Speaker 1>in his entire AAW career. We had an excellent main
<v Speaker 1>event between these two men with a finish that surprised
<v Speaker 1>me a little bit. It surprised me a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>I say only a little bit, because if you think
<v Speaker 1>about it, the winner of this match, we were told,
<v Speaker 1>is going to be wrestling Kenny Omega in Las Vegas
<v Speaker 1>next week on Dynamite, And obviously there are unresolved issues
<v Speaker 1>between Kenny Omega and Androde because of what happened with
<v Speaker 1>the whole contract situation. Kenny Omega was laid out by
<v Speaker 1>Andrade months ago and then nothing ever came of it.
<v Speaker 1>It was never spoken of. Again, it's kind of a
<v Speaker 1>big loose end that really needed to be tied up,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought maybe they would use this as an
<v Speaker 1>opportunity to tie up that loose en, but I couldn't
<v Speaker 1>be sure because it is Swerve and generally he's pretty
<v Speaker 1>well protected. I was very happy to see Androdi get
<v Speaker 1>the win tonight. I think that was the right call.
<v Speaker 1>We now know that it's going to be Kenny Omegaan
<v Speaker 1>Andrade next week on Dynamite. The winner of that match
<v Speaker 1>is going to go on to wrestle Hangman Adam Page
<v Speaker 1>next month, and the winner of that match will then
<v Speaker 1>take on MJF. And there is a certain name that
<v Speaker 1>maybe you may notice is missing from this conversation, and
<v Speaker 1>we'll talk about why that is so. At least now
<v Speaker 1>we have some clarity on how all of this is
<v Speaker 1>going to be sorted out. Meanwhile, MJF has his own
<v Speaker 1>issues with one Brody King, which we've known about, but
<v Speaker 1>they were once again cropped up on him here this week,
<v Speaker 1>and we had a big match that was made for
<v Speaker 1>the show next week. So the world championship picture here
<v Speaker 1>in this company continues to be the most interesting part
<v Speaker 1>of the show, and I wish there was more going
<v Speaker 1>on that interested me as much as what has been
<v Speaker 1>going on with MJF and his kind of merry go
<v Speaker 1>round of challengers. But that is really the most interesting
<v Speaker 1>thing on the show at the moment. Now, beyond that,
<v Speaker 1>there was something a few other things that happened here tonight.
<v Speaker 1>We had a new debut. Now this seems like a
<v Speaker 1>weekly occurrence here in AW that that in and of
<v Speaker 1>itself is not really a big surprise. What was the
<v Speaker 1>surprise was the swiftness with which this person made his debut,
<v Speaker 1>because we only just learned that his contract with WWE
<v Speaker 1>was expiring. Wait, I'm not aware of there being a
<v Speaker 1>specific date that was floated. I didn't know what the
<v Speaker 1>day was that this man was going to officially become
<v Speaker 1>a free agent. But evidently it already happened because Tamaso
<v Speaker 1>Champa is officially all elite. And I know this because
<v Speaker 1>he got the graphic. Here it is and everything here
<v Speaker 1>it is AW Tomaso Champa is all elite. It's never
<v Speaker 1>really official until you get a graphic. He's already got
<v Speaker 1>his Psycho Killer T shirt. I don't know what's going
<v Speaker 1>on with this jacket with the collar and all that.
<v Speaker 1>But he came out tonight and looks as debuts go,
<v Speaker 1>in terms of the presentation, I don't think they could
<v Speaker 1>have done a better job, especially on the music. Whether
<v Speaker 1>or not AW ends up being the best landing spot
<v Speaker 1>for him is going to be in the eye of
<v Speaker 1>the beholder, right. Obviously he wanted to go to AAW
<v Speaker 1>and so he ended up in AW, and in AW
<v Speaker 1>he's going to have the freedom to work other places
<v Speaker 1>as well, possibly even New Japan, and that is something
<v Speaker 1>that we had heard about recently. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>Meltzer who reported that Champa really had an interest in
<v Speaker 1>pursuing New Japan, right, not necessarily full time, but just
<v Speaker 1>wanting to work there, which is a little questionable just
<v Speaker 1>given the fact, I mean, he is forty with a
<v Speaker 1>bad neck, and obviously they work, you know, a very
<v Speaker 1>rough style over there in New Japan. So I would
<v Speaker 1>imagine that whatever he does over there, if he does
<v Speaker 1>end up doing some stuff with them, would probably be limited.
<v Speaker 1>But if that was something that he wanted to do,
<v Speaker 1>then this was a no brainer for him because AW
<v Speaker 1>has the partnership with New Japan, whereas TNA does not,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought TNA would be a great landing spot
<v Speaker 1>for him because they just got television on AMC and
<v Speaker 1>he's the kind of person who I could see being
<v Speaker 1>vaulted into that World Championship picture, you know, wrestling people
<v Speaker 1>like Mike Santana, and I think that would have been
<v Speaker 1>a good spot for him to be in. And then
<v Speaker 1>he also of course could have worked you know, independence
<v Speaker 1>and whatever he wants to do. My fear with him
<v Speaker 1>going to AW is the fear that I have with
<v Speaker 1>anybody at this point going to AW unless they're a big,
<v Speaker 1>big name, which is that there are so many people
<v Speaker 1>that are under contract to this company, even in just
<v Speaker 1>the last month. Look at all of the people that
<v Speaker 1>they have signed that they have brought in, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't I'm sure he's not done yet. I'm sure there
<v Speaker 1>will be more. Where is Champa a month from now,
<v Speaker 1>two months from now going to land in the pecking order?
<v Speaker 1>That was my concern, where if he were to go
<v Speaker 1>to a TNA, he would be in a much better position,
<v Speaker 1>I think, to be featured in a meaningful way. The
<v Speaker 1>jury is out of whether or not that's going to
<v Speaker 1>happen in AW, because in AW he is one of many, many, many,
<v Speaker 1>many many people on that roster, but for one night,
<v Speaker 1>him coming out tonight felt like a big deal, and
<v Speaker 1>I thought they treated, as far as presentation wise, treated
<v Speaker 1>his debut like it was a big deal. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to be challenging for the Tntchchampionship this weekend, so we'll
<v Speaker 1>talk more about how that all came about. And I
<v Speaker 1>got some more thoughts on Champa as well. But we
<v Speaker 1>don't got a wonder anymore where he's gonna end up,
<v Speaker 1>because now we have our answer. We also have three
<v Speaker 1>championship matches on this show, no title changes. Went zero
<v Speaker 1>for three in terms of title changes. Unfortunately, in the
<v Speaker 1>Tag Team Championship match, it appeared that there was an injury,
<v Speaker 1>which really fucking sucks and I'm hoping it's not as
<v Speaker 1>serious as this person seemed to think it was. Well,
<v Speaker 1>we'll talk about that and the rest of the show.
<v Speaker 1>I thought that it was very similar to last week's
<v Speaker 1>show in that the n ring is really what carried
<v Speaker 1>the show. Had a lot of good matches on the show.
<v Speaker 1>My big gripe with the show last week was it
<v Speaker 1>was very light on story. Right, we already know there's
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people coming after mjf Right. We saw
<v Speaker 1>it again this week, and that's great. I think they
<v Speaker 1>should keep that up. But we already knew that there
<v Speaker 1>really wasn't a whole lot of story progression on the
<v Speaker 1>show Last Wednesday tonight. They did a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>a better job, mainly with the Kallus family stuff. There
<v Speaker 1>were some backstage segments where they sort of forwarded things
<v Speaker 1>with Okata and Fletcher and Takeshta really for the first
<v Speaker 1>time since World's End, which was a month ago. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know what took them so long, So it was
<v Speaker 1>a little bit better in that regard. They still need
<v Speaker 1>to do a better job, though, I think as far
<v Speaker 1>as beyond just Ian ring coming up with some really focused,
<v Speaker 1>really compelling, interesting story related segments that aren't just quick
<v Speaker 1>backstage hits. They still have some work to do on that.
<v Speaker 1>But as far as the matches on the show, it
<v Speaker 1>carried the day, especially that main event, and we had
<v Speaker 1>a Women's championship match on this show as well that
<v Speaker 1>I thought was very good. So we'll talk about all
<v Speaker 1>of it. This is your Wednesday Night Dynamite review. It
<v Speaker 1>is January twenty eighth, twenty twenty six. I am the
<v Speaker 1>solo monster thing. Thank you guys for hanging out with
<v Speaker 1>me here on a Wednesday night. You guys know the
<v Speaker 1>drill ninety thousand strong. If you are not a subscriber,
<v Speaker 1>please go ahead and hit that sub button. Hit the
<v Speaker 1>like button as well. We're gonna find out right now
<v Speaker 1>what the likes goal is to do be the booker,
<v Speaker 1>because we're gonna bust out the wheel if you will,
<v Speaker 1>to find out right now what the number that we
<v Speaker 1>need is to do be the booker. Quick spin four
<v Speaker 1>thirty two. So we need a minimum four hundred and
<v Speaker 1>thirty two likes in order to do be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>You guys know what to do. It's all gonna be
<v Speaker 1>on you guys. I know sometimes on Wednesday. Wednesday tends
<v Speaker 1>to be one of the slower days of the week.
<v Speaker 1>But anyway, four thirty two is the goal, So go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and let's see if we can make that happen.
<v Speaker 1>And also this weekend there's a big show coming up
<v Speaker 1>in case you didn't know, I wouldn't fault you if
<v Speaker 1>you didn't know, because the promote for it up until
<v Speaker 1>this week has pretty much been fucking dog shit. But
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble is this weekend and I am going
<v Speaker 1>to be live on Saturday night, probably around nine o'clock
<v Speaker 1>or so for the Royal Rumble review. It's an early
<v Speaker 1>start time for that show two pm Eastern, but we'll
<v Speaker 1>have some fun with that. The Royal Rumble is always
<v Speaker 1>my favorite event of the year. It doesn't really feel
<v Speaker 1>like Royal Rumble right now, but usually once the show hits,
<v Speaker 1>generally speaking, they tend to be fun. So that's what
<v Speaker 1>I'm hoping for. Hopefully you'll be with me. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's get into this here. We'll start from the top
<v Speaker 1>and we'll zip on through this. Because they opened the
<v Speaker 1>show tonight with Kenny Omega coming out for his match.
<v Speaker 1>You see Kenny Omega, he was scheduled for a match
<v Speaker 1>on tonight's show. He had some stiff competition. Let me
<v Speaker 1>tell you, I wasn't sure if Kenny Omega was going
<v Speaker 1>to be able to overcome the odds here. I really
<v Speaker 1>I I wasn't sure because we had Kenny Omega one
<v Speaker 1>on one with Rocky Romero, yes of the Don Kallis family,
<v Speaker 1>the same Rocky Romero. I should point out to you
<v Speaker 1>who has not won a match, a singles match, in
<v Speaker 1>an aw ring or a ring of Honor ring since
<v Speaker 1>October of twoenty twenty four, and that was in Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor. I couldn't even tell you the last time,
<v Speaker 1>if ever, that he won a singles match in an
<v Speaker 1>aw ring, but if it happened, it pre dates October
<v Speaker 1>of twenty twenty four. So this is the competition they
<v Speaker 1>found here for Kenny Omega. Omega quickly hit a slingshot
<v Speaker 1>dive out to the floor, and then back inside. We
<v Speaker 1>got the Kataro Crusher, which led to Rocky briefly taking
<v Speaker 1>a powder outside the ring, got a cheap shot in,
<v Speaker 1>he escaped a snap Dragon, He ended up eating a
<v Speaker 1>V trigger, a Snapdragon, an V trigger, and then finally
<v Speaker 1>just put this thing away, the one Winged Angel, and
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega picks up the win. You know, for a
<v Speaker 1>guy who cut that promo a few weeks ago and
<v Speaker 1>told the entire world, you know, I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>just be handed a shot of the world championship. I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to earn my way back into the world title scene,
<v Speaker 1>right I'm going to earn my way to be the
<v Speaker 1>number one contender. You would think that they would be
<v Speaker 1>able to find, uh, you know, competition that is a
<v Speaker 1>little bit better than Rocky Romero because you look at
<v Speaker 1>Rocky Romero's win loss record, it ain't great, it's not
<v Speaker 1>so you would think he would want competition a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of a higher level. I don't see how this
<v Speaker 1>really accomplishes that, but it was a quick three minute
<v Speaker 1>win for Kenny Omega. So Tony Schiavanni climbs into the
<v Speaker 1>ring after this. He is rocking a Neon yellow tie
<v Speaker 1>and he's got Nikes to match. He was radioactive as
<v Speaker 1>he climbed into the ring and he's talking to Kenny
<v Speaker 1>Omega about all the possible challengers for mjf's championship, and
<v Speaker 1>Shravanni said that the two top contenders are going to
<v Speaker 1>face off a Grand Slam Australia, which I believe it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be a collision, specially it's a Saturday. I
<v Speaker 1>think it's Valentine's Day, so I think that's going to
<v Speaker 1>be a taped collision special, which is what it may
<v Speaker 1>have been last year as well. The winner of that
<v Speaker 1>match is going to then challenge MJF for the championship
<v Speaker 1>in Los Angeles on March fifteenth at Revolution, which just
<v Speaker 1>be aware that is a Sunday pay per view A
<v Speaker 1>lot of their pay per views are on Saturdays. This
<v Speaker 1>one is on Sunday, which, honestly for me is probably
<v Speaker 1>better in many ways because sometimes these Saturday shows can
<v Speaker 1>really fuck up my weekend schedule as far as the
<v Speaker 1>podcast goes, so I don't necessarily mind it. But the
<v Speaker 1>winner of the main event Tonite between Androde and Swerve
<v Speaker 1>Strickland will face Kenny Omega in Las Vegas next week
<v Speaker 1>to determine one of those spots in Australia. Omega said
<v Speaker 1>that he hates to repeat himself, but aw is supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be worth the best wrestle, so Omega said that
<v Speaker 1>whether it's someone that he really hates, like someone from
<v Speaker 1>the Don Kallis family, or someone that he loves, he
<v Speaker 1>will become the world champion once again. And at that
<v Speaker 1>point that brought out his old friend, the cowboy hangman,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Page, down to the ring and Page said that Omega,
<v Speaker 1>you know he looks good, but truth be told, after
<v Speaker 1>all these years, he'd rather be fighting beside him than
<v Speaker 1>fighting against him. But with the world title at stake,
<v Speaker 1>so be it. So he made the mistake of looking
<v Speaker 1>past Samoa, Joe and the ops and hoping that he
<v Speaker 1>would get to defend the title against Kenny one day,
<v Speaker 1>but because of a kick to the balls by hook,
<v Speaker 1>things are a little bit different now. So as much
<v Speaker 1>fire and passion as Omega has, he will not be
<v Speaker 1>the next world champion. It will not be Andrade, it
<v Speaker 1>will not be Swerve, it will be him. It will
<v Speaker 1>be Hangman. So of course Swerve is not going to
<v Speaker 1>allow that to go without getting a word in here.
<v Speaker 1>So Swerve Strickland makes his way out to the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and he excused himself for sounding like a broken record,
<v Speaker 1>but he came back to aw for a world championship
<v Speaker 1>and he has not been pinned since returning. Says his
<v Speaker 1>mission remains the same. He is getting back his world title.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't care who he has to stomp out to
<v Speaker 1>get it. Omega said that he fancies himself at being
<v Speaker 1>pretty astute at reading the room, and he feels the
<v Speaker 1>animosity between them, and he's looking for a fight, And
<v Speaker 1>Strickland laughed and says, more than you will ever know.
<v Speaker 1>So then we hear don Callus's voice like nails on
<v Speaker 1>a chalkboard instant heat. As he makes his way out
<v Speaker 1>onto the stage, a tells Swerve to enjoy being undefeated.
<v Speaker 1>It ends tonight when Andrade pins him and he goes
<v Speaker 1>little Kenny Daddy is here to tell him when Androde
<v Speaker 1>beats Swerve, he's coming for Kenny Omega and Callous that
<v Speaker 1>he hasn't forgotten about Hangman. He has something special in
<v Speaker 1>mind for of ooh, maybe a new member of the
<v Speaker 1>Callus family. We don't have enough of those. I think
<v Speaker 1>we need a new member. I'm surprised I didn't debut
<v Speaker 1>Champa as a new member tonight. That might have been
<v Speaker 1>the most shocking part of the entire show. I was
<v Speaker 1>fully expecting. That's one of the reasons I didn't want
<v Speaker 1>him coming here in the first place. I was convinced
<v Speaker 1>that if he showed up, he was going to be
<v Speaker 1>the newest member of the Don Kallis family. So all
<v Speaker 1>three of them, he says, are going to understand that
<v Speaker 1>the Callous family runs this show. And Omega sprinted down
<v Speaker 1>the aisle and chased him to the back. So it
<v Speaker 1>is going to be Kenny Omega against and I already
<v Speaker 1>mentioned the outcome. It's going to be Kenny Omega against
<v Speaker 1>Andrade in Las Vegas next week. The winner is going
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle Hangman in Australia. Now, why does Hangman not
<v Speaker 1>have to qualify for this? Well, my guess they didn't
<v Speaker 1>outright say this, but my assumption is that it was
<v Speaker 1>going to be Hangman Page one more time against Samoa Joe.
<v Speaker 1>Samoa Jo has said he wants his rematch, he wants
<v Speaker 1>to come after the World Championship. He just beat Speedball
<v Speaker 1>right last week, ex Caliber mentioned earlier in the show
<v Speaker 1>on commentary that Samoa Jo sustained a non contact injury.
<v Speaker 1>He sustained an injury in training this week and they
<v Speaker 1>wished him well. They didn't give any other details about
<v Speaker 1>how serious the injury is, what the injury is, Is
<v Speaker 1>it a cover because he has to go film something like,
<v Speaker 1>we don't know. I'm taking it at face value that
<v Speaker 1>he suffered some kind of training injury. But that sucks,
<v Speaker 1>and I assume that's why Hangman has no opponent and
<v Speaker 1>he's just going to Grand Slam and he's going to
<v Speaker 1>meet the winner of the Omega the Androde match next week.
<v Speaker 1>So for the time being at least, Simojoe is out
<v Speaker 1>of the world title picture. Again. I've been loving what
<v Speaker 1>they're doing, you know, where everything is just so hyper
<v Speaker 1>focused on the world Championship and somebody in the chap
<v Speaker 1>might have been quazed before I went live. Who made
<v Speaker 1>the comba. It's actually it's very true. Think of how
<v Speaker 1>long the world title was locked in a briefcase, almost
<v Speaker 1>a year. We did not see the physical belt, right,
<v Speaker 1>it was locked away in a briefcase by the death Riders.
<v Speaker 1>And so now the World Championship, right, we see it
<v Speaker 1>and it's it shines brightly. It's one of the best
<v Speaker 1>looking belts at all of wrestlings. It was number one
<v Speaker 1>now it's number two behind the IWGP. But it's nice
<v Speaker 1>that we have all of these people that are you know,
<v Speaker 1>they have one common goal in mind. Everything is just
<v Speaker 1>revolving around the championship, and it's something that we are
<v Speaker 1>seeing right now in Mjf's reign. He hasn't been champion
<v Speaker 1>for very long, but it's a nice change, you know,
<v Speaker 1>from what we had previously. And he's the champion. He's
<v Speaker 1>not wrestling every week, but he's appearing on the show
<v Speaker 1>every week. He had the match with Bandido right last
<v Speaker 1>or two weeks ago. He's going to be wrestling non
<v Speaker 1>title on the show next week, and then you know,
<v Speaker 1>we'll see if he ends up wrestling in Australia as well,
<v Speaker 1>but I like it. I like him. The more the merrier.
<v Speaker 1>As far as competition for that title, that's what it
<v Speaker 1>should be about. He needs to have eyes in the
<v Speaker 1>back of his head. Right, They're coming from everywhere. Right,
<v Speaker 1>he's a sleep with one eye open. The sharks are circling.
<v Speaker 1>That's the way it should be. Now, we had John
<v Speaker 1>Moxley against Ace Austen. This was a Continental title qualifier
<v Speaker 1>or qualifier eliminator. They love their eliminator. Tony loves his
<v Speaker 1>eliminator matches, so we got an eliminator match here outside
<v Speaker 1>of the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal that we had on
<v Speaker 1>this show last month. This was Ace Austin's first match
<v Speaker 1>on Dynamite. Now. He was supposed to be in a
<v Speaker 1>tag team match I think on Collision this past weekend,
<v Speaker 1>and there were some travel issues with the weather. He
<v Speaker 1>wasn't able to make it. My guess is the reason
<v Speaker 1>this match is happening is because it was to make
<v Speaker 1>good for him. Yeah, he couldn't be there on Saturday,
<v Speaker 1>so he ended up getting a match on Dynamite. We
<v Speaker 1>may not see him have another match on Dynamite for
<v Speaker 1>nine months. I don't know, but there he was tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and he was controlling most of the commercial break. Moxley, though,
<v Speaker 1>turned the tables as soon as things came back, took
<v Speaker 1>Austin up in the corner with a superplex. Later on,
<v Speaker 1>both men were trading strikes until Austin avoided a corner
<v Speaker 1>charge and he hit a springboard kick for a two count.
<v Speaker 1>Austin took too long capitalizing though, that allowed Moxlay to
<v Speaker 1>fire off a cutter out of nowhere, followed by a
<v Speaker 1>death rider, and he picked up the win. Now After
<v Speaker 1>the match was over, Kenoski Takesha's music hits, and Takeshta
<v Speaker 1>power walks down to the ring and he climbs inside
<v Speaker 1>and he confronts Moxley and pointing at the the Continental Championship,
<v Speaker 1>and Moxley said that he remembered how takesh to beat
<v Speaker 1>him in the Continental Classic, and again he pointed at
<v Speaker 1>the title again, and then Takesha left. So then Jake
<v Speaker 1>Doyle and Mark Davis they ambush Moxley from behind and
<v Speaker 1>they stood tall and we were told that their tag
<v Speaker 1>team title match, which they were scheduled for tonight, was
<v Speaker 1>not next, which was very weird because you would think
<v Speaker 1>that's what was about to happen here, but he's like, no,
<v Speaker 1>then the match is not next, that's coming up later
<v Speaker 1>on in the show. Instead, we're getting a TNT title
<v Speaker 1>match next. So that was a little bizarre. But them
<v Speaker 1>attacking Moxley here would play a very big role in
<v Speaker 1>the tag team title match later on in the show.
<v Speaker 1>Well obviously not two of the brightest members of the
<v Speaker 1>roster that they would go and you know, fuck up
<v Speaker 1>Moxley when they have their own championship match later on
<v Speaker 1>on the show. Gee, I wonder, I wonder if that.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder how that's going to end for them. We'll
<v Speaker 1>see because we're not there yet. But at least now
<v Speaker 1>we know which member of the Callus family Moxley was
<v Speaker 1>referring to when he put Callous unnoticed last week. Remember
<v Speaker 1>I made the comment, I go, you're going to have
<v Speaker 1>to narrow it down as far as which member you're
<v Speaker 1>talking about. Takeshta is that member? That's my guess. Probably
<v Speaker 1>going to be the match in Australia at Grand Slam.
<v Speaker 1>Far as the Ace Austin match again his first match
<v Speaker 1>on Dynamite Singles match, This Ace Austin guy it's pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he probably didn't need me to tell you that,
<v Speaker 1>but he's pretty good. It would be kind of nice
<v Speaker 1>if we got to see him a little more often.
<v Speaker 1>On this show, we saw Mark Brite, Let's go. He
<v Speaker 1>was next against L Clone for the TNT Championship. Now,
<v Speaker 1>this match was originally supposed to happen on Collision. If
<v Speaker 1>you remember, the Collision taping was canceled because of all
<v Speaker 1>the storms in Texas. So they taped Collision after Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>last week and they held off on this match, and
<v Speaker 1>instead they got a slot here on the live show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>A sauce that is going back to Collision. Yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>was his maiden voyage here to Dynamite in singles action,
<v Speaker 1>and he's going back home, boys, He's going back home,
<v Speaker 1>back to Collision. He goes. But we had Mark Briscow
<v Speaker 1>and L Clone, so they had a slug fest late
<v Speaker 1>in the match until Briscoe fired off an exploder and
<v Speaker 1>a Fisherman's bomb. Briscoe went up top, he hit Froggy bow.
<v Speaker 1>Clone kicked out Brisco's signal for a Jade Driller. Now
<v Speaker 1>it looked to me like he hit the Ja driller. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>he hit the jay driller L Clone pops right back
<v Speaker 1>up to his feet like he bounced out of it
<v Speaker 1>and landed on his feet and no sold it, which
<v Speaker 1>I hated. And then he fired off a pellet kick.
<v Speaker 1>There was a one leg at ASII moon salt outside.
<v Speaker 1>Clone then quickly took Briscoe back in, went up top
<v Speaker 1>hit a double foot stomp. Brisco ended up fighting off
<v Speaker 1>a portal bomb and then hit a or got a
<v Speaker 1>high stack and got the flash pin. So he no
<v Speaker 1>sold a J driller and he kicked up out of it.
<v Speaker 1>Now I don't know of the idea because I know
<v Speaker 1>some people might be like, oh, well, he didn't know
<v Speaker 1>sell it. He just he avoided the move. If you
<v Speaker 1>watched the sequence, it looked like he fucking dropped him
<v Speaker 1>on his head with the J driller and he just
<v Speaker 1>bounced right back up to his feet. So I don't
<v Speaker 1>care what the intent was. I'm telling you what it
<v Speaker 1>looked like. And I hated that. To me, that is
<v Speaker 1>a move that should just be protected from here on out.
<v Speaker 1>And if he's not going to win with it, or
<v Speaker 1>if you're going to do something like this with the
<v Speaker 1>other person, is going to no sell something, no sell
<v Speaker 1>the froggy bow. There's any number of moves that you
<v Speaker 1>can just sort of no sell like it's not a
<v Speaker 1>big deal. The Jade Driller, in my opinion, should not
<v Speaker 1>be one of those moves. I'm sorry, not from L Clone,
<v Speaker 1>but the fact that they had L Clone kick out
<v Speaker 1>of that and then it took a high stack at
<v Speaker 1>a flash pin for Mark Briscoe to beat this guy
<v Speaker 1>so hardly a decisive win tells you how strongly they
<v Speaker 1>put over El Clone here in this match. Even though
<v Speaker 1>he didn't win. They put him over about as strong
<v Speaker 1>as you could put somebody over without them actually winning
<v Speaker 1>the match. And look Ares, he's the one who portrays
<v Speaker 1>L Clone. Ares is very good, right, he's a very
<v Speaker 1>good rest. But again, I just I hated that j
<v Speaker 1>Driller spot. So after the Magic Briscoe took the mic
<v Speaker 1>and he said that he's not doing any ducking or
<v Speaker 1>dodging and he's going to be right back in action
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday night, and he loves the concept of the
<v Speaker 1>TNT Title Open Challenge, but one asterisk no one from
<v Speaker 1>the don Kallis family, because he's sick and tired of them.
<v Speaker 1>So step up, who's it going to be and the
<v Speaker 1>lights go out, and all of a sudden, on the
<v Speaker 1>big screen we see and hear a beating heart and
<v Speaker 1>then the words psycho Killer on the screens on either side.
<v Speaker 1>Because they don't have tunnels anymore, if you feel notice,
<v Speaker 1>they have kind of a main screen in the middle
<v Speaker 1>from the entrance where you walk out, and then two
<v Speaker 1>more vertical screens on the side. So we had Psycho Killer,
<v Speaker 1>and it sounded like the crowd still didn't pick up
<v Speaker 1>and I knew instantly, I'm like, oh shit, but it
<v Speaker 1>didn't sound like everybody picked up on it right away.
<v Speaker 1>But then the music kicked in the name popped up,
<v Speaker 1>and then this got a big reaction, and it was
<v Speaker 1>Tomasso Champa Psycho Killer himself. He just trade filed the
<v Speaker 1>trademark applications right in the last few weeks and just
<v Speaker 1>got his not release. Really, but he gained his freedom,
<v Speaker 1>I guess you would say, because his WWE contract expired
<v Speaker 1>and he made the announcement that he was not renewing,
<v Speaker 1>and he made it sound like that was his decision
<v Speaker 1>and at the company's decision. I'm not sure which, but
<v Speaker 1>again it sounds like it was his call, like if
<v Speaker 1>he wanted to stay. He probably could have stayed, but
<v Speaker 1>he opted to leave. Why did he opt to leave?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. You'd have to ask Tomaso Champa. You
<v Speaker 1>could look at what he was doing in WWE, and
<v Speaker 1>you could surmise from that that maybe he realizes, look,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not getting any younger and I'm on borrowed time
<v Speaker 1>at this neck. He mentioned in the letter that he
<v Speaker 1>posted on social media. You know, my first decade and
<v Speaker 1>then my second decade in wrestling, I spent in WWE
<v Speaker 1>after being like on the indies in the first decade,
<v Speaker 1>and now in my third decade, my final decade. You know,
<v Speaker 1>he's kind of venturing out on his own and doesn't
<v Speaker 1>know what the future holds. So maybe he just wanted
<v Speaker 1>to try new things before all a said and done.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he was unhappy with the position that he was
<v Speaker 1>in because, let's be honest, guys like him and Johnny Gargano,
<v Speaker 1>the spot that they were in on SmackDown that was
<v Speaker 1>as good as it was going to get. He was
<v Speaker 1>a big deal in the Black and Gold NXT days, right,
<v Speaker 1>he was a main eventor he was like a Hall
<v Speaker 1>of Famer in NXT. He was never that on the
<v Speaker 1>main roster, and at this point he was never going
<v Speaker 1>to be that. So if he was unhappy with his position,
<v Speaker 1>that would be reason enough for him to go. You
<v Speaker 1>know what, I'm going to bounce. I'm going to bounce
<v Speaker 1>and I'm going to go somewhere else, or I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle in a whole bunch of different places, because
<v Speaker 1>I just get the impression this guy just really loves wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe he just wants to work, and he wants
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle as many new people and maybe some old
<v Speaker 1>faces as he possibly can. And you can't fault the
<v Speaker 1>guy for not wanting to be stuck on SmackDown Wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>you know, AXIOM and wrestling the same fucking people over
<v Speaker 1>and over and over again. And as they call up
<v Speaker 1>new people from NXT, who do you think, Who do
<v Speaker 1>you think of the guys that are going to be
<v Speaker 1>there doing jobs for Obafemi or Ethan Page or Royce
<v Speaker 1>Keys or whoever they call up from from NXT. It's
<v Speaker 1>going to be people like Matt Cardona and Kit Wilson
<v Speaker 1>and Johnny Gargano and Tomaso Champa. So I can't get
<v Speaker 1>in the man's head and tell you exactly what the
<v Speaker 1>reason was maybe it was monetary, it was financial, who knows,
<v Speaker 1>But I really thought that TNA would be a good
<v Speaker 1>landing spot for him, and he felt otherwise. Either that
<v Speaker 1>or AW came in with a better offer. Where he'll
<v Speaker 1>land up, you know, in a few weeks, let alone
<v Speaker 1>a few months. I think we all know where he's
<v Speaker 1>gonna end up. But for now, he debuts, and he
<v Speaker 1>comes out and he confronts the TNT champions, someone that
<v Speaker 1>he has history with from their days together in Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor, so there is some history there. But he
<v Speaker 1>gets into the ring and he stares at the TNT
<v Speaker 1>title and he's telling Briscoe he's coming for it. And
<v Speaker 1>then he gave Briscoe a kiss on the cheek, and
<v Speaker 1>then he left the ring and he went over to someone.
<v Speaker 1>It might have been his family. I think his daughter
<v Speaker 1>maybe was in the front row. I couldn't see. It
<v Speaker 1>was a little kid who had headphones on to protect
<v Speaker 1>her ears. So my guess is his family was there
<v Speaker 1>at ringside. But again, he got a great response here
<v Speaker 1>from the crowd, and I thought, as far as the
<v Speaker 1>presentation is concerned, fucking awesome theme song and again the
<v Speaker 1>beating heart and everything else I thought production wise, presentation wise,
<v Speaker 1>this was great. That song is a definite home run
<v Speaker 1>from My ruckus. Uh. It's apparently it's called My Shadow Knows.
<v Speaker 1>It's not on Spotify yet, but hopefully soon it will
<v Speaker 1>pop up on Spotify. So yeah, Night one was a success.
<v Speaker 1>I just I worry about, you know, where where is
<v Speaker 1>he going to end up going for and not not
<v Speaker 1>like he'll be competing in wrestling MJF. You know, for
<v Speaker 1>the World Championship. If it were me, and I know
<v Speaker 1>Mark Briscoe hasn't had it for very long, but if
<v Speaker 1>it were me, I put the title on him. Like
<v Speaker 1>they're doing this title match on Collision this weekend. I
<v Speaker 1>put the fucking title on him. That's what I would do.
<v Speaker 1>Because let's say he goes in there and he loses, right,
<v Speaker 1>he loses to Mark Briscoe. Realistically, where does Tamaso. I'm
<v Speaker 1>grateful he's not in the Callous family, but realistically, where
<v Speaker 1>does Champa Land? What role does he end up in?
<v Speaker 1>Because it would be kind of said if he ends
<v Speaker 1>up in exactly the same position he was in on
<v Speaker 1>Friday Nights Now, he may be okay with that because
<v Speaker 1>the big difference is with aw he will have the
<v Speaker 1>freedom to work independent dates. He will have the freedom
<v Speaker 1>if he wishes to to work New Japan. I mentioned
<v Speaker 1>the New Japan angle. Maybe that was the deciding factor
<v Speaker 1>for him. Maybe he really wants to do something with
<v Speaker 1>New Japan. In AW he will have the chance to
<v Speaker 1>do that. Maybe he cares less about Okay, where where
<v Speaker 1>in the pecking order am I going to land on
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite or on Collision. I just there's so many people
<v Speaker 1>on this roster. I just want to be able to
<v Speaker 1>work with all of them and then you know, kind
<v Speaker 1>of book my own shots and work a whole bunch
<v Speaker 1>of other places too. Maybe that's what makes him happy,
<v Speaker 1>I hope. So. Clearly he made this choice for a reason,
<v Speaker 1>just like Josh Alexander, right, he chose AW over WWE.
<v Speaker 1>One of the reasons he did that was because of
<v Speaker 1>the roster. There were people on that roster, including Kenny Omega.
<v Speaker 1>Omega was one of the big reasons why Josh Alexander
<v Speaker 1>chose AW over WWE. He really wanted to work with
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega and he got the chance to do so
<v Speaker 1>last week. Everyone has their reasons for it. I really
<v Speaker 1>don't think that the money these guys are being offered
<v Speaker 1>in some cases between the two companies is radically different. Like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it's I don't think there's a life
<v Speaker 1>changing difference between the money that's being offered. I think
<v Speaker 1>it has more to do with, Okay, who am I
<v Speaker 1>going to be working with and what am I able
<v Speaker 1>to do outside you know of what I'm doing for
<v Speaker 1>this company, because I really want to work in all
<v Speaker 1>these different places. And also, don't forget they have the
<v Speaker 1>relationship with CMLL. Right who knows, maybe there could be
<v Speaker 1>opportunities there. He got Claudio running around as the CMLL
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight Champion. Me to tell me, you can't see Shampa,
<v Speaker 1>you know, doing some stuff maybe over there working at
<v Speaker 1>Arena Mexico. I hope it all works out. Champa is
<v Speaker 1>a great talent, and I hope that it all works out,
<v Speaker 1>and I think we're going to be seeing a lot
<v Speaker 1>of him in a lot of different places. Backstage, Renee
<v Speaker 1>welcomed Kyle Fletcher, and at his request, Kauzzuchka Okada was
<v Speaker 1>there and Kazuca Ocada is talking about using the screwdriver
<v Speaker 1>at World's End, and I'm like, World's End. January twenty
<v Speaker 1>eighth World's End I think was December twenty six. It's
<v Speaker 1>been a month and now we're finally following up on
<v Speaker 1>the screwdriver stuff. It took a little while, it took
<v Speaker 1>too long, but Okada said, look, I took the screwdriver
<v Speaker 1>because I wanted to win. Wanted to win, and I
<v Speaker 1>didn't really even think. I didn't really give any consideration
<v Speaker 1>to the fact that I used it, and then you
<v Speaker 1>couldn't in your match. I wanted it to be you
<v Speaker 1>and me in the finals of the Continental Classic. And
<v Speaker 1>he apologized, he said I'm sorry. So Fletcher said, look,
<v Speaker 1>it takes a big man to admit his faults, and
<v Speaker 1>I accept your apology, and they shook hands and Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>walked off, and Ocata just sort of stared at him
<v Speaker 1>as he walked off. And I thought for sure that
<v Speaker 1>when Fletcher was no longer within listening distance, Okada was
<v Speaker 1>just going to go bitch, but he didn't. Maybe in
<v Speaker 1>his mind he did, but he did not call him
<v Speaker 1>a bitch. So all seems to be well for now
<v Speaker 1>with Fletcher and Okada. This will play into another backstage
<v Speaker 1>segment later in the show. MJF walked to the ring
<v Speaker 1>the aw World champion was out. Next first thing he
<v Speaker 1>did was look over at Taz, who has replaced Brian
<v Speaker 1>Danielson on commentary. Danielson had mentioned that all the traveling
<v Speaker 1>apparently was really wreaking havoc on his neck. So I
<v Speaker 1>guess he's just not traveling anymore, which is too bad
<v Speaker 1>because I was enjoying him on commentary. But I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's Taz. So Taz is very good to
<v Speaker 1>what he does. It's good to have Taz back. So
<v Speaker 1>the first thing he does is look over at Taz
<v Speaker 1>over on commentary and he goes, I can't believe they're
<v Speaker 1>making us work in a dump like this. I think
<v Speaker 1>they were in Where were they tonight's Cedar Park, Texas?
<v Speaker 1>They were somewhere in Texas and Taz. They zoom in
<v Speaker 1>on Taz, and Taz is like, I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>to tell you. I ain't got no answers for you, Champ.
<v Speaker 1>So before MJF could even get another word out, brody
<v Speaker 1>King's music hits. He walks to the ring and MJF asks,
<v Speaker 1>if can we speak like men? He told bark Boy
<v Speaker 1>that last week, he told him he needs to beat
<v Speaker 1>someone who matters. If you want a shot at the champion.
<v Speaker 1>But yet here you are still following me around like
<v Speaker 1>a lost puppy. He goes, it's the same thing that
<v Speaker 1>you did with Malachi black ooh, and he goes, you know,
<v Speaker 1>he used to terrify me. How you guys used to
<v Speaker 1>turn the lights on and off. So then you also
<v Speaker 1>follow that other guy around. Buddy Matthews, he said, a
<v Speaker 1>name that strikes fear into the hearts of everyone. And
<v Speaker 1>then he asked, how's his ankle doing? Actually, his ankle
<v Speaker 1>is is not doing well. You know, next month, it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be a full year since he's been out.
<v Speaker 1>It's one of those fluky things, man like he was
<v Speaker 1>was it Okada? Was he wrestling Okada? I want to
<v Speaker 1>say maybe Ocada. Whatever the match was, it was a
<v Speaker 1>Grand Slam, and he came out for his match. Remember
<v Speaker 1>what happened? He came out for his match and either
<v Speaker 1>he jumped over the top rope into the ring and
<v Speaker 1>it happened, or he was in the ring on the
<v Speaker 1>ropes and then he kind of jumped down. It was
<v Speaker 1>one of those like fluky things, and he just bent
<v Speaker 1>like his his ankle just bent the wrong way. And
<v Speaker 1>he proceeded to wrestle, like a fifteen minute match on
<v Speaker 1>an ankle that he had no business wrestling on. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure it made it that much worse, but that's
<v Speaker 1>what it was. It didn't happen during the match. It
<v Speaker 1>did its total fluke occurrence. It's kind of like the
<v Speaker 1>Bianca bell Air thing where yeah, she's wrestling this match
<v Speaker 1>and she breaks her finger or a couple fingers. It
<v Speaker 1>ended up being more of like a broken knuckle. But
<v Speaker 1>like in terms of like wrestler injuries, you're like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>all right, well this person broke a finger, they broke
<v Speaker 1>a knuckle. He'll be back soon enough. It's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>a year. Yeah, Like I'm hoping we see her on Saturday,
<v Speaker 1>but if we don't, I have no fucking idea when
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna see her again. It's just sometimes the smallest,
<v Speaker 1>stupidest things are the ones that really do the most
<v Speaker 1>damage and keep you out for the longest time. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>to answer his question, his ankle is not doing very well.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know when we're gonna see him again. So
<v Speaker 1>now Brody, says Ora. MJF says, Brody follows a loser
<v Speaker 1>like Bandido, so maybe he should follow MJF. He goes,
<v Speaker 1>he'll pay him to follow him around, but first we
<v Speaker 1>have to fix your esthetic. And then he had this
<v Speaker 1>great line. This was actually this is a great line
<v Speaker 1>about how I never met a liberal man that looks
<v Speaker 1>more like a Nazi than Brody King. And even he
<v Speaker 1>couldn't help but laugh at that. He goes, but it's okay. MJF.
<v Speaker 1>Will get him in a nice suit. He'll get a
<v Speaker 1>nice scarf like I have. Because the pipe dream of
<v Speaker 1>you becoming the champion is just that, it is a dream.
<v Speaker 1>The reality is, in order to be the champion of
<v Speaker 1>the world, you need to be a leader, and just
<v Speaker 1>like these schmuck fans, you are nothing more than a follower.
<v Speaker 1>So then it was Brody's chance to speak, and promos
<v Speaker 1>are I wouldn't say promos are his strong suit, not
<v Speaker 1>that he's terrible at them, but I don't know for
<v Speaker 1>a guy who is you know, bang on when he
<v Speaker 1>comes out As far as projecting intimidation, I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>get a guy like Brody King walking towards you and barking,
<v Speaker 1>you know that's gonna be intimidating, right, So he's got
<v Speaker 1>that down pat When he cuts his promos, though, I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't say he cuts an intimidating promo, like that's not
<v Speaker 1>really his strong suit. But you gotta cut promos, right,
<v Speaker 1>You got to be able to speak and communicate. And
<v Speaker 1>so here was his chance to retort to MJF. He goes, look,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need to follow anybody around. And what you described,
<v Speaker 1>it's called friends, which is clearly something you never had.
<v Speaker 1>But he said MJF was right about him needing to
<v Speaker 1>beat somebody who matters. So what he did was he
<v Speaker 1>sat down with Tony Kahan and they thought about who
<v Speaker 1>Brody could face to potentially earn himself a shot at
<v Speaker 1>the AW World Championship, and they figured it out someone
<v Speaker 1>worthy enough MJF. And this is not what MJF wanted
<v Speaker 1>to hear, based on the look on his expression. Set
<v Speaker 1>it all. So next week they're going to have an eliminator.
<v Speaker 1>Now there's that word again. The eliminator match's coming up
<v Speaker 1>next week, and when Brody wins, the two of them
<v Speaker 1>will then square off of the AW World Championship in
<v Speaker 1>Australia at Grand Slam, and he will become the leader
<v Speaker 1>that AW needs. And then he barked at him, and
<v Speaker 1>that was the end of the promo, so it all
<v Speaker 1>blew up in mjf's face. I like this, I actually,
<v Speaker 1>And for all the shit that I give them about
<v Speaker 1>these stupid eliminator matches, this I actually liked. And I'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you why, because I really, I generally do not
<v Speaker 1>like when they do this stuff. I just I wish
<v Speaker 1>they wouldn't do it, just the idea you got to
<v Speaker 1>beat the champion twice basically to become the champion, you
<v Speaker 1>you gotta beat them first time, then you got to
<v Speaker 1>come back and beat them a second time. In this case, though,
<v Speaker 1>story wise, right, it makes sense and there's a reason
<v Speaker 1>for it, as opposed to how these eliminator matches usually happen,
<v Speaker 1>like the one with John Moxley and Ace Austin tonight,
<v Speaker 1>or the one with him and Shelton or anybody else, right,
<v Speaker 1>take your pick. They're just randomly assigned. Most of the time.
<v Speaker 1>They fall from the sky at random and you never
<v Speaker 1>know what you're gonna get. It's like putting a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of names in a hat and just randomly picking them out,
<v Speaker 1>and that's how we get these eliminator matches more often
<v Speaker 1>than not. In this case, they've been building this now
<v Speaker 1>for a few weeks where brody king the stuff with
<v Speaker 1>Bendido is what led to what we now see with
<v Speaker 1>MJF and with Brody King, and so MJF has been
<v Speaker 1>trying to avoid this man right at all costs. Literally
<v Speaker 1>ran away from him last week, ran for his life.
<v Speaker 1>And so if he wants Brody to find somebody worthy
<v Speaker 1>enough to be well, who better than MJF himself. So
<v Speaker 1>again his plan backfired. It blew up in his face.
<v Speaker 1>And at least here it's like, okay, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>that actually makes sense. At least there's a reason for it.
<v Speaker 1>At least there's a story for it. Just don't make
<v Speaker 1>a habit out of it. But in this case I'll
<v Speaker 1>allow it. I'm okay with it. Any other circumstance probably not.
<v Speaker 1>But here I think it works. They aired a video
<v Speaker 1>package for the Young Bucks with them talking about how
<v Speaker 1>a little bit of humility is what they needed and
<v Speaker 1>they're going to be back to their roots. They're challenging
<v Speaker 1>any team to face them in Las Vegas next week
<v Speaker 1>for a super kick party. We're going to get another
<v Speaker 1>new signing? Are we getting another new tag team added
<v Speaker 1>to the roster? Who was facing the Young Bucks next
<v Speaker 1>week we had Chris Statlander. She will not be wrestling
<v Speaker 1>the Young Bucks next weekend or a next week rather,
<v Speaker 1>but she did defend her AW Women's World championship here
<v Speaker 1>on this show against Tecla. I feel like they've been
<v Speaker 1>building to this match now for a few months. So
<v Speaker 1>the Sisters of Sin, they came out with Tecla for
<v Speaker 1>her entrance, but they left soon after, and because we
<v Speaker 1>were reminded that if they want a shot at the
<v Speaker 1>AW Women's Tag team titles, which were offered to them
<v Speaker 1>by the Babes of Wrath, then they have to keep
<v Speaker 1>their distance from this match. So Tekla offered a handshake.
<v Speaker 1>At the very beginning, she slapped Statlander before taking to
<v Speaker 1>powder outside. So to the outside, Statlander picked her up.
<v Speaker 1>She held her up for a while, very impressive delayed
<v Speaker 1>vertical suplex. Follow that up with a sling shot into
<v Speaker 1>the ring steps Sternham first, so Tecla worked over Statlander.
<v Speaker 1>During a commercial, Statlander tried a death valley driver. Techa
<v Speaker 1>escaped to the apron and guillotined her, and then she
<v Speaker 1>rolled through a top rope dodge. Statlander though charge and
<v Speaker 1>motored down with a lariat. Champion then took two long
<v Speaker 1>going up top, so that allowed Techla to slap her
<v Speaker 1>and join her on the rope. She delivered a spider suplex.
<v Speaker 1>Statlander rolled outside, tried to create some distance, and Tecla
<v Speaker 1>met her with a crossbody block and the crowd was
<v Speaker 1>I mean to me. To my ear, sounded like the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was pretty solidly behind Tecla. Here, Statlander kicked out
<v Speaker 1>at two back inside. Statlander fired off an uppercut, turned
<v Speaker 1>her back though to charge, and that gave Tecla enough
<v Speaker 1>time to hit a spear. We got a little bit
<v Speaker 1>of a reset here. Both women started swinging from their knees.
<v Speaker 1>They rose to their feet. Statlander was screaming at Tecla,
<v Speaker 1>beat me, go ahead, beat me instead, though Techla spat
<v Speaker 1>in her face, so the black widow was briefly applied. Tecla, though,
<v Speaker 1>wrenched at the arm and followed with a curb stomp
<v Speaker 1>for close to count. We got a spider pose from
<v Speaker 1>the challenger, and as she charged in, she ran right
<v Speaker 1>into a thrust kick. Tecla rolled out of a Saturday
<v Speaker 1>night fever into a roll up. Then she matrixed out
<v Speaker 1>of a charge, tried another spear. Statlander caught her with
<v Speaker 1>a doctor bomb and then the Saturday Night Fever to
<v Speaker 1>retain the title. After the match Willow Nightingale Harley Cameron,
<v Speaker 1>they came down to the ring to celebrate with Statlander
<v Speaker 1>and then out on stage comes Megan Bain and Penelope
<v Speaker 1>Ford and they stand there and they stare from Afar,
<v Speaker 1>and that is how this came to an end. My
<v Speaker 1>only criticism here is that they only got about eleven
<v Speaker 1>minutes for a match that felt like they took at
<v Speaker 1>the very least many many weeks, if not a few
<v Speaker 1>months building. They took their time really building to to this,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Tecla getting this World Championship match, and I
<v Speaker 1>just felt like it was about ready to kind of
<v Speaker 1>go into that next gear and then it ended because
<v Speaker 1>I thought what we got here was excellent stuff from
<v Speaker 1>these two. I just wish they had a few more
<v Speaker 1>minutes to really, you know again, take it to that
<v Speaker 1>next gear. And I also would not have minded a
<v Speaker 1>title change here. I like Statlander as the champion. I
<v Speaker 1>do worry though, now she beat Techla clean in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the ring. So unless Techla's going to get
<v Speaker 1>another rematch for some reason, Tecla had her shot and
<v Speaker 1>she goes to the back of the line. Now, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure who's next. You know, you had Megan
<v Speaker 1>Bain come out, She's another one. I wouldn't mind her,
<v Speaker 1>you know, ending up in a program with Statlander. But
<v Speaker 1>I assume her and Penelope Ford coming out. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they were eyeballing Harley Cameron and Willow. So they're going
<v Speaker 1>after the women's tag team titles, which I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>guess that didn't stop a Willow from going after the
<v Speaker 1>the TBS title, so people love holding multiple championships. I
<v Speaker 1>don't get the sense that they're going in to Megan
<v Speaker 1>Bane and Chris Statlander. I think Megan Bain and Penelope
<v Speaker 1>four they're eyeing the tag belts. What does that mean
<v Speaker 1>for stat Who is the next obvious one in line?
<v Speaker 1>For Statlander? I feel like her just beating Tekla. Now
<v Speaker 1>it's like, Okay, we've kind of exhausted all of the
<v Speaker 1>obvious options. I don't know who's next. I kind of
<v Speaker 1>feel like we've hit a wall now as far as
<v Speaker 1>what's next for her, because again Mercedes is taking time off.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think she's going to be coming back. I
<v Speaker 1>mean not now. She could be back. I suppose for
<v Speaker 1>a revolution, but she's going to be out of the
<v Speaker 1>picture for a while. I'm not expecting her back in
<v Speaker 1>the next few weeks. And if they want to tell
<v Speaker 1>that story with her actually winning the championships, that's a
<v Speaker 1>later story. You're not doing that now. So I don't
<v Speaker 1>think they're going to her. I don't know. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know who's next. As far as credible challengers, I feel
<v Speaker 1>like we've exhausted all the all the main ones. Thunder
<v Speaker 1>Rosa who's said thunder Rose isn't thunder Rose out? Yeah, no,
<v Speaker 1>we're not. We're not looking at thunder Rose. And next
<v Speaker 1>in line stat has been lame as Champ, says Bash.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I think she does a great job
<v Speaker 1>as far as the matches that she's been having. I
<v Speaker 1>just think she needs a really good opponent and a
<v Speaker 1>really good story. She doesn't have that right now. They
<v Speaker 1>exhausted the Jamie Hater match Tekla now has come and gone.
<v Speaker 1>If they don't go to Bain, I I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just struggling to see who that next obvious challenger
<v Speaker 1>would be. I don't know. Don Kallis was backstage with
<v Speaker 1>Kyle Fletcher and Kenoski Ta Keshta, but he's gonna bring
<v Speaker 1>home the gold. Androde has already made his intentions known
<v Speaker 1>about challenging for the aw World title, and Callus told
<v Speaker 1>Tekeshta take Kyle's lead for earlier and forgive Okada because
<v Speaker 1>if you look up Fletcher's name in the dictionary, you'll
<v Speaker 1>find TNT and he'll be bringing home the title to
<v Speaker 1>the family, whether it's from Mark Brisco or whether it's
<v Speaker 1>from Tamaso Shampo. So Callus said that he's going to
<v Speaker 1>go enjoy a Martini while Davison Doyle take home the
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles. And then he walked off, and then
<v Speaker 1>Takeshta looks at Kyle Fletcher and he asked him, he goes,
<v Speaker 1>you forgave Okada, and Fletcher tried to explain, and Takeshta
<v Speaker 1>just walked off disappointed. He was very upset about this.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I gotta say, I know, I understand how
<v Speaker 1>crowded it is in the world title scene. Right now.
<v Speaker 1>This is what we've been talking about, right MJF. Looking
<v Speaker 1>over his shoulder, you got Hangman and Omega and Swerve
<v Speaker 1>and possibly Andrade and Brody King and he just defended
<v Speaker 1>against Bandido and Samoa Joe and eventually will Osprey. Right well,
<v Speaker 1>these different names, it's very crowded. However, the idea of
<v Speaker 1>Kyle Fletcher just being slotted back in the TNT title picture,
<v Speaker 1>it's a step down. It feels like we're going backwards
<v Speaker 1>with Fletcher when we should be going full steam ahead.
<v Speaker 1>We're kind of taking a couple of back steps here,
<v Speaker 1>and that bothers me, even though I understand right now
<v Speaker 1>there's really no obvious spot for him, and again, it
<v Speaker 1>would be Heal against Heel if you had him at
<v Speaker 1>MJF and that doesn't really make a lot of sense.
<v Speaker 1>I get that. I just don't like how it feels
<v Speaker 1>like we're going backwards with him. Yeah, we gotta we
<v Speaker 1>gotta figure out something else for Kyle Fletcher. He him
<v Speaker 1>just going back after the TNT title. It just doesn't
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, doesn't see it well with me. We
<v Speaker 1>had FTR against Jake Doyle and Mark Davis, but the
<v Speaker 1>aw Tag Team titles, we got a series of shoulder
<v Speaker 1>tackles here from Doyle to Cash Wheeler, who tried to
<v Speaker 1>leap frog Doyle though hit a chest bump in mid air,
<v Speaker 1>so Davis tagged in. Harwood suffered the same fate as
<v Speaker 1>Davis started a chop exchange, hit a standing sent on
<v Speaker 1>as he hit the ropes, though Wheeler low bridged him.
<v Speaker 1>Doyle got sent outside as well. Wheeler attempted to die,
<v Speaker 1>he got caught, and then he got Lawn darted into
<v Speaker 1>his partner, and the fans were cheering for Davis and Doyle.
<v Speaker 1>They were cheering for the Callus family going, which is
<v Speaker 1>a hard thing to do because these people do not
<v Speaker 1>like Don Callous, but there are members of his family
<v Speaker 1>that people like, like Takeshta. So they haven't been partners
<v Speaker 1>for very long, but in the last few weeks it
<v Speaker 1>has felt like the fans have you taken in a
<v Speaker 1>more positive way than not to this new pairing. I
<v Speaker 1>like this new team, actually, I just I think that
<v Speaker 1>they add something to the Tag team Division that maybe
<v Speaker 1>the Tag team Division had taken away from them with
<v Speaker 1>the Lucasaurus injury. Right lost that team, and it's cooled
<v Speaker 1>down a little bit now, and we were talking about
<v Speaker 1>how okay the aw tag Team Division. It feels like
<v Speaker 1>it's got a new lease on life, and look at
<v Speaker 1>all these teams, and now I feel like in the
<v Speaker 1>last few weeks things have really cooled off. I almost
<v Speaker 1>feel like they're just sort of in a holding pattern
<v Speaker 1>until Cope and Christian come back. Whenever the hell that is,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but FTR is not dropping those belts
<v Speaker 1>until they do. And then they lost Jurassic Express. So
<v Speaker 1>it was like, Okay, these guys work well together and
<v Speaker 1>if they get a reasonable push, then you know that
<v Speaker 1>could be something fun for the division. But but unfortunately
<v Speaker 1>we don't know if we're going to be getting Davis
<v Speaker 1>and Doyle for a while because they come back from
<v Speaker 1>the break. Now Harwood looks like his chest is a
<v Speaker 1>little bloodied up from all the chops from Mark Davis.
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler made the same. He plants Doyle with a power slam,
<v Speaker 1>It got no sold, and Doyle mowed him down with
<v Speaker 1>a body block. Hartwood got placed in the corner for
<v Speaker 1>a superplex. Wheeler made the save and out on the apron,
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler spikes Doyle with a DDT And it was at
<v Speaker 1>that moment that Jake Doyle immediately like he he's on
<v Speaker 1>the apron and he's up on his knees and he's
<v Speaker 1>grabbing his right arm. And if you go back and
<v Speaker 1>you watch it. He looks up at Wheeler, who's also
<v Speaker 1>on the apron. He looks up at cash Wheeler and
<v Speaker 1>he audibly told him, I just tore my tricep. I'm sorry,
<v Speaker 1>I just tore my bicep. Not tricep. I just tore
<v Speaker 1>my bicep. And we didn't see him again for the
<v Speaker 1>rest of the match. That was the end of Jake Doyle. Now,
<v Speaker 1>basically what happened is when he took the DDT with
<v Speaker 1>his right arm, he held onto the top row and
<v Speaker 1>it looked like it was maybe hyper extended. And I'm
<v Speaker 1>kind of hoping that's all it is now. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>he knows his body better than any of us do.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, sometimes you think it's one thing, it
<v Speaker 1>ends up being another. You think it's really bad and
<v Speaker 1>it's not as bad. That's kind of what I'm hoping here.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he just hyper extended it. Maybe he does have
<v Speaker 1>to take a few weeks off. But hopefully he didn't
<v Speaker 1>tear anything. But he seemed in that moment pretty sure
<v Speaker 1>that he tore his bicep. If he did, man that
<v Speaker 1>it's just it fucking sucks. I Mean, they literally just
<v Speaker 1>got paired up together like Jake's something just debuted like
<v Speaker 1>a couple of weeks ago, two three weeks ago, Max,
<v Speaker 1>and they were really just starting to get these guys
<v Speaker 1>going here and then like this could be a total
<v Speaker 1>fluke occurrence where just by and I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>he was holding the rope, but look, shit happens, right
<v Speaker 1>he's holding the rope. Maybe you know, you take moves
<v Speaker 1>on the apron, you're trying to just brace yourself whatever
<v Speaker 1>it is, and then something stupid happens. So we have
<v Speaker 1>to just wait and see how serious it is. But
<v Speaker 1>he seemed to think it was pretty serious. So that, uh, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that sucks. So Davis is on his own now. He
<v Speaker 1>took out Wheeler. He went up with Harwood, who slid
<v Speaker 1>out and he crotched Davis. He hit an avalanche backsuplex
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler flew in off the top with a splash for
<v Speaker 1>a two count. Davis sent Wheeler outside before they could
<v Speaker 1>try a shatter machine, and he sank in a sleeper
<v Speaker 1>hole on Dax, who was flailing around. All of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>the Death Riders show up. John Moxley is back out here.
<v Speaker 1>He has not forgotten what happened to him earlier in
<v Speaker 1>the show, and this is where the uh I mentioned
<v Speaker 1>these two guys aren't too bright. This is why what
<v Speaker 1>did you think was going to happen? Did you think
<v Speaker 1>this was going to go unpunished? So the Death Riders
<v Speaker 1>come out, Daniel Garcia takes the referee right, he takes
<v Speaker 1>Paul Turner, which allowed Moxley to blast Davis in the
<v Speaker 1>head with the continental title. Davis is sent backwards right
<v Speaker 1>into a shatter machine and FTR pins him to retain
<v Speaker 1>the tag team titles. So kind of a predictable finish there,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you had to know the Death Riders would
<v Speaker 1>take their revenge for what happened earlier in the show,
<v Speaker 1>and the Death Riders in the Callus family they are
<v Speaker 1>feuding with each other, so it makes sense. It was
<v Speaker 1>a very like WWE raw style finish. We get so
<v Speaker 1>many of these finished, so many more of these finishes
<v Speaker 1>on any given episode of Raw Smack SmackDown that when
<v Speaker 1>they happen on an aw show it's more noticeable because
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't happen in this way very often. But that's
<v Speaker 1>that's how I describe it. It's like a WWE finish here.
<v Speaker 1>And so although the referees in both companies, they're all
<v Speaker 1>made to look like just fucking morons, So it was
<v Speaker 1>a cheap win. The match itself I thought was solid.
<v Speaker 1>The injury, though, that kind of cast a dark cloud
<v Speaker 1>over things. And again, all I can say is hopefully
<v Speaker 1>he's he's not going to be out for too long,
<v Speaker 1>because yeah, before it was Mark Davis who got hurt.
<v Speaker 1>He only not that long ago came back from an injury, right,
<v Speaker 1>I think it was a foot injury. So now Doyle
<v Speaker 1>is hurt, Davis is back on his own, which is
<v Speaker 1>just going to be death for him. Yeah, it's the
<v Speaker 1>simplest of spots. Well, I mean, look, I mean when
<v Speaker 1>you're taking a DDT on the apron, I wouldn't call
<v Speaker 1>that the uh. I wouldn't call that the simplest of spots.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, it wasn't like he was doing anything too crazy.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he was taking he was taking to DDT.
<v Speaker 1>You know, he just had his arm holding onto the
<v Speaker 1>rope and whatever happened happened. You know, maybe he felt
<v Speaker 1>something pop. I don't know. Renee was backstage with Orange Cassidy,
<v Speaker 1>who was talking about his feud with Wheeler. Dah said
<v Speaker 1>that Ydah is unrecognizable from the man that he knew
<v Speaker 1>five years ago with his dumb, bushy beard, so you'da
<v Speaker 1>walked in. Marina Shafir also walked in, and she grabbed
<v Speaker 1>Cassidy by his hair, and as she did this, timeless
<v Speaker 1>Tony Storm showed up and told her to unhand him,
<v Speaker 1>as a Shafir is like a bad dose of the clap, said,
<v Speaker 1>you don't know how you got there, but she's she's
<v Speaker 1>going to need her to get out of here. Really,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't know. So Marina asked if Tony wants more
<v Speaker 1>milk or does her girlfriend want more flowers? So Storm
<v Speaker 1>told her to piss off and when her and Citrus
<v Speaker 1>Boy meet them, they'll be in some deep shit and
<v Speaker 1>security separated all of them and I so, I guess
<v Speaker 1>we're getting a mixedtag match. We're getting a mixtag match
<v Speaker 1>very soon apparently when I don't know, but we're getting
<v Speaker 1>a mixed tag match. And then the main event, it
<v Speaker 1>was Swerved Strickland one on one against Andre Rode l Idelo,
<v Speaker 1>with the winner meeting Kenny Omega on Dynamite next week
<v Speaker 1>in Las Vegas. Before the final commercial break. Here, androde
<v Speaker 1>this was early in the match, is a lovely female
<v Speaker 1>fan in the front row, very strategically placed, and Androde
<v Speaker 1>goes over to this clearly planted fan in the front row,
<v Speaker 1>takes her phone and snaps a selfie of the two
<v Speaker 1>of them together, and then as he goes to walk away,
<v Speaker 1>she grabs him by the arm and she passes a lot.
<v Speaker 1>I thought she was passing along like her snotty tissue
<v Speaker 1>or something, but apparently it's a I don't know, paper
<v Speaker 1>or napkin or something. She wrote her phone number and
<v Speaker 1>then she kissed it, and then Androte takes it and
<v Speaker 1>he shows like her lipsticks on there, like with the
<v Speaker 1>lips and everything. So yeah, I quite the lady's been here.
<v Speaker 1>I mean he is a single man now, I guess right,
<v Speaker 1>So he's quite the lithario. I will say, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Androde is in the best shape that I've ever seen
<v Speaker 1>him in. So good on him. I think they did
<v Speaker 1>something like this odd collision as well. Citrus Boy is
<v Speaker 1>so funny. No, that's Orange, it's Orange, Cassidy. He is
<v Speaker 1>Citrus Boy. So coming out of that break, Androde is,
<v Speaker 1>I mean he's on fire man. He had a torneo
<v Speaker 1>dive out to the floor back inside. He hit the
<v Speaker 1>moon salt where he lands on his feet and then
<v Speaker 1>immediately does a second moon salt standing moon salt. He
<v Speaker 1>nailed that, and he was getting chance. I mean, the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was chanting and he's in there wrestling Swerve, who's
<v Speaker 1>pretty popular himself and he's part of the Callus family
<v Speaker 1>all that, and he's got people chanting Elidelo, so they
<v Speaker 1>were into it. But then Swerve dropped him on the
<v Speaker 1>apron with the death Valley driver. They ended up on
<v Speaker 1>the outside and on top of the barricade where Swerve
<v Speaker 1>tempted a pile driver on the top part of the barricade,
<v Speaker 1>exactly what he did last week in his main event
<v Speaker 1>against Kevin Knight. So instead this time Androde back dropped
<v Speaker 1>him and Swerve landed spine furs right on the top
<v Speaker 1>part of the barricades. So now both men are down
<v Speaker 1>on the floor and Aubrey Edwards is administering the count.
<v Speaker 1>They both dove back in at the nine count. We
<v Speaker 1>got a slugfest with four arm shots. Androde tried for
<v Speaker 1>his message finish, which ex Caliber says he is now
<v Speaker 1>calling the DM sliding into your dms like that girl
<v Speaker 1>with the snotty tissue. So he went for the DM.
<v Speaker 1>Swerve avoided it, and he came off the ropes and
<v Speaker 1>Androte put his boot up, but then like he was
<v Speaker 1>gonna boot him in the face, but then he quickly
<v Speaker 1>dropped the boot and just as quickly as possible, he
<v Speaker 1>turned and man, he absolutely wrecked Swerve with that spinning
<v Speaker 1>back elbow that he does. Swerve ended up down in
<v Speaker 1>the corner. Androde goes to the opposite corner. He comes
<v Speaker 1>charging out, but he charges right into a house call
<v Speaker 1>kick and Swerve covered him. Androde kicks out, Swerve went
<v Speaker 1>up top. Androde, though latched onto his leg, he climbs
<v Speaker 1>up with him. He hits well. He takes Swerve down
<v Speaker 1>with an avalanche poison rana off the top. So then
<v Speaker 1>the mediora knees in the corner connect and then he
<v Speaker 1>plants him with the hammer lock DDT. That was very
<v Speaker 1>similar to the hammer lock DDT that he beat Johnny
<v Speaker 1>Gargano with in one of the great matches of the
<v Speaker 1>Black and Gold era of NXT NXT takeover Philadelphia. I
<v Speaker 1>saw that. I think in that case it was I
<v Speaker 1>want to say that was inelevated hammer lock DDT. I
<v Speaker 1>think Gargano was kind of draped over the ropes, but
<v Speaker 1>he definitely beat him with a hammer locked DDT. I
<v Speaker 1>remember that because as soon as he pined Gargano, the
<v Speaker 1>air went out of the building. The air went out
<v Speaker 1>of me too. I'm like, oh my god. If ever
<v Speaker 1>there was a match that was set up for a
<v Speaker 1>story book nd finish, it was that one, and then
<v Speaker 1>Androte just beat him. But it's still one of my
<v Speaker 1>favorite matches in the last twenty years. But here, unlike
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Gargano, Swerve kicked out, so Swerve ended up getting
<v Speaker 1>him in a position for big pressure. Androte rolled through
<v Speaker 1>though into a pinning combination only for a two. Swerve
<v Speaker 1>caught him with the house call kick, and again he
<v Speaker 1>tried for big pressure. Androde though reached out and he
<v Speaker 1>grabbed a hold of Aubrey Edward. I think he grabbed
<v Speaker 1>it by the wrist. He grabs Aubrey by the wrist
<v Speaker 1>and as she pulls herself away, that momentary distraction allows
<v Speaker 1>Androte to lift his leg for the low blow, and
<v Speaker 1>then at that point he hit him with the DM
<v Speaker 1>which is his finish, and he pinned Swerve with his finish.
<v Speaker 1>I love it. I love it. This is how low
<v Speaker 1>the bar has been set, by the way, because everybody
<v Speaker 1>kicks out of everybody else's finish so many times that
<v Speaker 1>when you have a competitive back and forth match like
<v Speaker 1>this and one guy hits his finish and he wins
<v Speaker 1>with it, it's amazing. I'm very impressed. But I was more
<v Speaker 1>impressed that they actually had Andrede go over on Swerve. Now,
<v Speaker 1>it took a low blow to do it, he had
<v Speaker 1>a cheat. That's okay, this was the right outcome and
<v Speaker 1>he just picked up the biggest win so far of
<v Speaker 1>his aw career. And that means that next week we
<v Speaker 1>are getting Kenny Omega one on one against Andrede l Eedlone.
<v Speaker 1>I love it for a few different reasons. The main
<v Speaker 1>reason I really like, well, there's two reasons. Number One,
<v Speaker 1>I liked that it wasn't just so obvious that Swerve
<v Speaker 1>was going to go in there and win. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they gave him the win last week over Kevin Knight.
<v Speaker 1>He comes back this week back to back Great Maine
<v Speaker 1>events by the way for Swerve Strickland. But he did
<v Speaker 1>didn't have to win this match. He didn't have to
<v Speaker 1>win this match because I think you also don't want
<v Speaker 1>to just give away Kenny Omega against Swerve of Strickland
<v Speaker 1>on Dynamite next week, like that could be a pay
<v Speaker 1>per view match. You don't have to give it away.
<v Speaker 1>And one of the reasons that you don't have to
<v Speaker 1>give it away next week is because you've already established
<v Speaker 1>an issue a few months ago between Kenny Omega Androde
<v Speaker 1>that went unresolved for reasons that were out of your control. Well,
<v Speaker 1>guess what, Androtte now is officially all Elite, he's under contract.
<v Speaker 1>He got him back, and you cannot allow Kenny Omega
<v Speaker 1>to at some point not circle back to the fact
<v Speaker 1>that this guy showed up and fucked him up and
<v Speaker 1>then disappeared and then we never spoke of it again.
<v Speaker 1>It's stupid. It doesn't make any sense. So it's not
<v Speaker 1>like Omega called him out. But okay, now they're going
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle and you at least have a recent history
<v Speaker 1>between them to draw from where Kenny never did get
<v Speaker 1>his revenge on Androde for doing what he did, and
<v Speaker 1>now he will next week because Kenny Omega is going
<v Speaker 1>to beat Androde. So you at least gave Androde a
<v Speaker 1>big win this week before he loses next week. This
<v Speaker 1>was the right outcome. This was an excellent made event,
<v Speaker 1>fantastic match again, Androte had the fans cheering for him
<v Speaker 1>at different points during the match because he was on
<v Speaker 1>his a game here, you know. I mean, if you can,
<v Speaker 1>if they could keep this up and keep him in
<v Speaker 1>the mix like this, he'll do very well for himself.
<v Speaker 1>I don't have a lot of faith in them doing that,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, the guy was on fire out there.
<v Speaker 1>He had a great match, and Swerve usually always has
<v Speaker 1>great matches, So these two work very well together. And
<v Speaker 1>I do wonder for Swerve what that means for his
<v Speaker 1>immediate future, Like are they potentially building to maybe a
<v Speaker 1>Swerve heel turn. You know, is Swerve getting a little
<v Speaker 1>stale maybe in the current role that he's in. Does
<v Speaker 1>he need to go back to having that harder edge,
<v Speaker 1>because really he was at his most interesting when he
<v Speaker 1>was feuding with him And I do feel like he
<v Speaker 1>he walks around with a chain every week looking all
<v Speaker 1>tough and bad ass, but he's lost some of that edge.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't know if he's not going to be
<v Speaker 1>in the immediate world title pictures, so like now we
<v Speaker 1>know he's not wrestling for the title at Revolution, maybe
<v Speaker 1>they're going to have him wrestling forward a Dynasty because
<v Speaker 1>Dynasty is the event where he won the championship for
<v Speaker 1>the first time. Maybe Dynasty is kind of swerves swerve show.
<v Speaker 1>But in the meantime, like where do you go with him?
<v Speaker 1>I feel like there's got to be maybe a shift
<v Speaker 1>in direction as far as his character goes. We weren't
<v Speaker 1>done yet though. They went backstage after the match, Renee
<v Speaker 1>was with MJF asking for his thoughts on the match
<v Speaker 1>next week that he's having with Brody King. He said
<v Speaker 1>that if that oversized bag of milk with sharpie written
<v Speaker 1>all over him thinks he has a shot, he's got
<v Speaker 1>another thing coming. Kenny Omega shows up and he says,
<v Speaker 1>one more week, one more win, and I'll be seeing
<v Speaker 1>you at Revolution for the Championship. So he puts his
<v Speaker 1>hand out. MJF just walks away. As he's walking away,
<v Speaker 1>he bumps into Andrade, and Androde says, I want to
<v Speaker 1>slap you right now, because they've been beefing on social
<v Speaker 1>media and the other d might have been yesterday, but
<v Speaker 1>the other day Andrade said to him, when I see
<v Speaker 1>you like, I'm gonna find you when I get to Dynamite,
<v Speaker 1>when I get to TV and like, I'm gonna punch
<v Speaker 1>in the face a right, playing off the fact that
<v Speaker 1>he has literally punched someone in the face backstage in
<v Speaker 1>the past and it got him into some hot water.
<v Speaker 1>So they've been beefing on social media. He goes but
<v Speaker 1>and he looked down at the title around mjf's waist,
<v Speaker 1>and he just pointed to it and says, I want that.
<v Speaker 1>So MJF just keeps on walking. He walks right out
<v Speaker 1>of the building. There's a waiting suv outside. He puts
<v Speaker 1>his hand on the door. He goes to open the door,
<v Speaker 1>and someone we can't see who pushes the door shut,
<v Speaker 1>and then we see that it is Hangman Adam Page,
<v Speaker 1>and so the two of them share a very brief
<v Speaker 1>little stare down. MJF quickly gets into the car. He
<v Speaker 1>yells at the driver to drive off they go, and
<v Speaker 1>that leaves Hangman with a smirk on his face to
<v Speaker 1>close the show. So, yet again, as was the case
<v Speaker 1>last week, the in ring really carried the day. The
<v Speaker 1>main event was fantastic. I thought the women's match was
<v Speaker 1>also very good, and really there were a lot of
<v Speaker 1>matches on this show that were at least good. Those
<v Speaker 1>are the two standouts for me. The TNT title match
<v Speaker 1>was good as well, you know, the world title scene. Look,
<v Speaker 1>I don't really have much else to say about it
<v Speaker 1>that I haven't already said. It's the most interesting part
<v Speaker 1>of the show. We got a little bit of progression
<v Speaker 1>on the Kallus family stuff with those backstage segments Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>to Keshta. Okay, it's still moving at a glacial pace.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying give it all away now. I would
<v Speaker 1>hope and assume this is building to a more proper
<v Speaker 1>singles match, right, not worried about the Continental Classic or anything,
<v Speaker 1>but doing it a proper Ocata takeshta match that hopefully
<v Speaker 1>will be better than what we got last month, and
<v Speaker 1>doing that in Los Angeles in March, so you know,
<v Speaker 1>we still have a little bit of time left to go.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't know, man, this is it's been moving
<v Speaker 1>at a glacial pace, kind of like punk in the
<v Speaker 1>main event on Raw Monday Night. That's the last I'll
<v Speaker 1>say about that. But the other thing I also like.
<v Speaker 1>I like how they've already set up two big matches
<v Speaker 1>for the show next week, so we know we're getting
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega and Andrede and a non title We're getting MJF
<v Speaker 1>and Brodie King and then whoever the young bucks are
<v Speaker 1>teasing that they're going to be wrestling, but those are
<v Speaker 1>two big matches right right away that we already know
<v Speaker 1>for now next week. So I liked it. I like
<v Speaker 1>the show this week. Take a look at the pole.
<v Speaker 1>What did you think of Dynamite from Texas? Fifty seven
<v Speaker 1>percent thumbs up for tonight's show, eighteen point eight percent
<v Speaker 1>thumbs in the middle, and twenty four percent thumbs down
<v Speaker 1>at Solo Monster on x is where you guys can
<v Speaker 1>go to vote in the poll. But you already knew that.
<v Speaker 1>You already knew that. Let's get to your super chats
<v Speaker 1>right now. Cmsloth, Yeah, it was. It was not great.
<v Speaker 1>What are you gonna do? We're three hundred and eighty likes.
<v Speaker 1>Remember the goal is four thirty two, So Saith the
<v Speaker 1>wheel Bender mc simpsons is great. Main event. Tony com
<v Speaker 1>better have some big plans for Andrade if he is
<v Speaker 1>going to have him beat Swerve, well, I mean the
<v Speaker 1>big plan is to have him lose to Kenny Omega.
<v Speaker 1>The key is what happens after that. He was super
<v Speaker 1>over on the show tonight so like if that were
<v Speaker 1>to continue, Yeah, he definitely needs to be featured in
<v Speaker 1>a more prominent way. He can't just be, you know,
<v Speaker 1>another background player in the Callus family. You know, number
<v Speaker 1>number six or number four in the Callous family. Well, now,
<v Speaker 1>fifteen dollars super Chat, Shampa and aw will be absolutely
<v Speaker 1>sick awesome debut. Side note, it's time for me to
<v Speaker 1>simp for stardom again. Next week February seventh, Supreme Fight
<v Speaker 1>on pay per view. Love you Solo, still the best
<v Speaker 1>of what you do? Thank you brother. Yes, Stardom startom.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't get to check out too much of Stardom
<v Speaker 1>last year, but last year they had a very good
<v Speaker 1>year business wise. I think they actually might have They
<v Speaker 1>might have generated more money than New Japan did for
<v Speaker 1>Bushy road Right, they had that big show in was
<v Speaker 1>it April where they had like seven thousand plus people.
<v Speaker 1>Linklex says, what is Rocky Romero's finishing move? Fuck you
<v Speaker 1>asking me for the How am I supposed to know?
<v Speaker 1>He never wins his matches, he never has a chance
<v Speaker 1>to hit one. I don't think he has a finishing move.
<v Speaker 1>You know, when you lose all your I think losing
<v Speaker 1>I think is his finishing move. He hit it again tonight.
<v Speaker 1>Phil says, Hi solo. Did you know that the original
<v Speaker 1>title for john Wick was called Scorn, but Keanu kept
<v Speaker 1>accidentally calling it john Wick during interviews to the studio
<v Speaker 1>renamed it. Is that true? It's actually funny if that's true.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't know that. Roscoe P. Coltrane, thank you for
<v Speaker 1>the two ninety nine Australian Arabian Night says damn, how
<v Speaker 1>much was Jericho making all these signings? I'm telling you man,
<v Speaker 1>how much money came off the books from that one
<v Speaker 1>fucking contract. Tony Kahan must have loved Black and Gold.
<v Speaker 1>He signed like eighty five percent of that man's division.
<v Speaker 1>Is Gargano next, well, depending on what his contract is up,
<v Speaker 1>he may well be that the rate things are going.
<v Speaker 1>Devin from NJ says, buy er sell big head signs
<v Speaker 1>at wrestling shows. Uh, yeah, we gotta we gotta burn those.
<v Speaker 1>We gotta burn the big heads unless I see my
<v Speaker 1>big head. If someone wants to bring a big solo
<v Speaker 1>monster head, I'll accept that. But yeah, these these these
<v Speaker 1>big heads it shows, they have to be burned. Andre
<v Speaker 1>Jefferson ten dollars super chat. It's great to see Shampa
<v Speaker 1>sign with a W and not the don Kallis family.
<v Speaker 1>A great debut and hope Tony Kahan does great with him.
<v Speaker 1>I'm really starting to think Sean Michaels was the brains
<v Speaker 1>behind NXT and not Triple H. Well look at me,
<v Speaker 1>Seawan Michaels. If you're talking about Black and Gold, Shawn
<v Speaker 1>Michaels had no creatively anyway. He had no connection, no
<v Speaker 1>role within that Triple H had you know, people writing
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't like everything was his idea, but no, it
<v Speaker 1>was him who oversaw that period. He was trying to
<v Speaker 1>build his own super indie and b Needler. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen you before, but your insight changes wrestling. I think
<v Speaker 1>that's a compliment. I'll take it as one. I think,
<v Speaker 1>thank you, brother, I appreciate it. We just refresh this
<v Speaker 1>and make sure I got everybody here so I don't
<v Speaker 1>leave nobody out. We got a few more, Alex says
<v Speaker 1>brother solo. Buy rent cell on your favorite RVD match
<v Speaker 1>against Jericho at Unforgiven, oh one? Seen a One Night Stand?
<v Speaker 1>Oh six? Or against Angle and Austin at No Mercy,
<v Speaker 1>Oh one? Much love? Man? You know I haven't seen
<v Speaker 1>that No Mercy match in a long time. I kind
<v Speaker 1>of want to go with that one, but I don't.
<v Speaker 1>Oh Man, I did Jericho one also at Unforgiven, I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I remember that being really good, but i'd have to
<v Speaker 1>go back and rewatch it. I'll go with the One
<v Speaker 1>night Stand. I don't think the actual match a one
<v Speaker 1>night Stand was anything special, but just for the you know,
<v Speaker 1>the atmosphere and the building that night and everything, it
<v Speaker 1>was a special match. I'll buy on that one. I'll
<v Speaker 1>rent on the match with Angle and Austin, and I'll
<v Speaker 1>sell on the Jericho one Chicago for MBK. Champa has
<v Speaker 1>a great entrance and that's all for tonight. His song
<v Speaker 1>is quite great. And Carl Winslow, yes, the Carl Winslow
<v Speaker 1>apparently is with us, says, be the booker hell Miss
<v Speaker 1>versus Evil, Oh my god in a Punjabi prison match. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know that's right. I have to add Evil now.
<v Speaker 1>I guess he once he debuts in WWE, I'll have
<v Speaker 1>to add him to be the booker. But I have
<v Speaker 1>to wait to see what his name is if they
<v Speaker 1>if they change his gimmick, I'm telling you we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna have good is going to be debuting. I
<v Speaker 1>did see something where WWE I think trademarked the name sinister.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that's a legitimate trade mark filing
<v Speaker 1>that they made. That might give us some insight into
<v Speaker 1>what his new name will be. Super pony Our, Kevin Owens,
<v Speaker 1>sammy's Ain, and Finn Valley are going to be the
<v Speaker 1>only Black and Gold talents that never signed with AW
<v Speaker 1>or will one of them one day sign there. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think any of them will sign with AW. That
<v Speaker 1>is that is just my my belief. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna happen. And Side of the Ham for twenty
<v Speaker 1>says I went to AW in Orlando on January twenty first,
<v Speaker 1>and somebody had a Solo Monster sign. I didn't ask
<v Speaker 1>him about it since I had to pee, but it
<v Speaker 1>was cool to see. Well, yeah, that probably was that
<v Speaker 1>was last week. I was, yeah, that was last week's show.
<v Speaker 1>That was probably Rekinson. Yeah, Recanson had the it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>the solo Monster Baybay sign? Yeah? He always he tries
<v Speaker 1>to bring it to the shows in Orlando. He used
<v Speaker 1>to bring it to like Daily's place. I think Daily's
<v Speaker 1>place is. Do I have this right? I think I
<v Speaker 1>read somewhere that Daily's Place is being renovated, so it's closed.
<v Speaker 1>They're not going to be able to run it for
<v Speaker 1>a few years. I thought I had read that somewhere. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean again, I saw some somebody posted an image
<v Speaker 1>of a trademark filing for Sinister, which I think is legit,
<v Speaker 1>And you would assume that if it just so happens
<v Speaker 1>that the rumors are that they're going to sign some
<v Speaker 1>guy named Evil, so you just put two and two together,
<v Speaker 1>that may end up being his new name. Anyway, we
<v Speaker 1>did hit the special goal tonight, which was four hundred
<v Speaker 1>and thirty two likes. We are currently four thirty seven.
<v Speaker 1>See the wheel tried to defeat you all, but as
<v Speaker 1>you can and see, the wheel did not win you
<v Speaker 1>guys did. So let's go ahead and be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Ladies and gentlemen. It is now time to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Dailies is down for a while. Yeah, see, I thought
<v Speaker 1>I had heard that. I guess there'll be no Dailies
<v Speaker 1>place shows for a few years. That's all right, all right,
<v Speaker 1>here we go. We get one shot at this. We
<v Speaker 1>got to make it a good one. Did you not
<v Speaker 1>hear what I said? I said, we have to make
<v Speaker 1>it a good one. We land on miss and our Truth.
<v Speaker 1>Oh god, this is when this is when they uh
<v Speaker 1>de unify the tag Belts. I think, what a terrible
<v Speaker 1>decision that was, What an awful decision that was. And
<v Speaker 1>I said it at the time, I said, this is
<v Speaker 1>this is probably not going to end well. And look
<v Speaker 1>at the state of the tag team divisions right now
<v Speaker 1>on Raw and SmackDown Garbage, Absolute Garbagems and Our Truth.
<v Speaker 1>They're going to defend those titles. Well now business has
<v Speaker 1>picked up. If there's any justice in this wrestling world,
<v Speaker 1>these two men will be part of the Hall of
<v Speaker 1>Fame class of twenty twenty six. Because I don't see
<v Speaker 1>them flying out to Saudi Arabia next year. You gotta
<v Speaker 1>get it done this year. Acts and Smash Demolition put
<v Speaker 1>them in the Hall. Do with the writers did not
<v Speaker 1>have the or the voters or whoever votes in the
<v Speaker 1>NFL one did not have the balls to do with
<v Speaker 1>Bill Belichick put Demolition in the Hall of Fame. Women's
<v Speaker 1>be the booker. We have Deanna Parrazzo, who I believe
<v Speaker 1>is a What title does she have? Is she the
<v Speaker 1>pure Champion? The Ring of Honor? Women's Pure Champion. Here
<v Speaker 1>in this image she was the Impact Knockouts Champion, A
<v Speaker 1>fine choice. Deanna Piazza will be defending that title against Naomi,
<v Speaker 1>also a former champion. This is not the best version
<v Speaker 1>of Naomi. Though best version of Naomi was the version
<v Speaker 1>that we got before she had to leave. She had
<v Speaker 1>more important things to tend to. She is the pure Champion, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>that's what I thought, the inaugural Ring of Honor Women's
<v Speaker 1>Pure Champion. So basically, Tony created a belt to give
<v Speaker 1>her something to do because he was doing nothing with her.
<v Speaker 1>Very good, all right, it's main event and guess who
<v Speaker 1>it is everybody. He has sent morse code to let
<v Speaker 1>us know that he was going to be and be
<v Speaker 1>the booker tonight. So this was not unannounced. Actually I
<v Speaker 1>opened my fortune cookie the other night and there was
<v Speaker 1>a message from him in the fortune cookie that said,
<v Speaker 1>I will be appearing and be the booker. It is
<v Speaker 1>the OTC. Roman Reigns has graced us with his presence.
<v Speaker 1>He will be defending his championship there in that image
<v Speaker 1>against mankind, Roman Reigns and Mankind. That'd be a fine Matt.
<v Speaker 1>I think that she would be a very good match.
<v Speaker 1>Where is Lisa that she go crazy? Asa is probably
<v Speaker 1>just sitting outside of his house right now. She's got
<v Speaker 1>binoculars on the seat next to her. She's waiting to
<v Speaker 1>get a glimpse Roman reigns in Mankind. I like that. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad I was able to give you guys a
<v Speaker 1>clean sweep. Since we only have the one round tonight,
<v Speaker 1>at least we made it a good one. Didn't Naomi
<v Speaker 1>defeat Diana Piazzo with a knockouts title? You're asking the
<v Speaker 1>wrong person. Somebody in the chat will have to answer
<v Speaker 1>that for me, because my answer is, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Mankind elevates literally anyone he is in the ring with. Well,
<v Speaker 1>he was in the ring with Al Snow, and I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't say that there was a lot of elevation going
<v Speaker 1>on there. He was in the ring with Al s
<v Speaker 1>though he was in the ring with Valvenus. I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>say everybody, but yes, most of the people that he
<v Speaker 1>worked with, most of the people that they intentionally had
<v Speaker 1>him work with who they wanted to push to a
<v Speaker 1>level higher than him, so they put them in the
<v Speaker 1>ring with Mick. He did his job. He helped elevate
<v Speaker 1>them and for Undertaker, I still maintain he is Undertaker's
<v Speaker 1>greatest rival. I've answered that question a couple of times before.
<v Speaker 1>People think, oh, it's Kaine, it's Shawn Michaels. No it's not.
<v Speaker 1>It's Mankind. Mankind was the first like he was the
<v Speaker 1>first one truly to come along where it felt like
<v Speaker 1>he was the Undertaker's equal and the Undertaker could not
<v Speaker 1>figure this man out multiple matches, over multiple pay per views.
<v Speaker 1>His greatest rival is Mankind. Anyway, thank you guys for
<v Speaker 1>hanging out with me here on a Wednesday. I will
<v Speaker 1>be live with you again on Friday at a weird time,
<v Speaker 1>probably three point thirty in the afternoon. So as long
<v Speaker 1>as you're subscribed and you have your notification bell on,
<v Speaker 1>it should notify you when I go lie. I know
<v Speaker 1>some for whatever reason, some people don't get notifications from YouTube,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm not sure why, but this would be a
<v Speaker 1>good time to make sure you have your notifications on.
<v Speaker 1>So if I go live at a wacky time, it'll
<v Speaker 1>let you know. Hopefully you can join, but for sure
<v Speaker 1>I will be here on Saturday for the Royal Rumble.
<v Speaker 1>Is this the end? Is this the end of aj styles?
<v Speaker 1>In WWE I think it is. We'll find out together
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday and then we'll talk about it. And then Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>brand new episode of the sound Off, episode ninety nine,
<v Speaker 1>I will have my thoughts, full thoughts and a review
<v Speaker 1>on WWE Unreal Season two, so you'll have that, you'll
<v Speaker 1>have the Rumble, Fallout and all the other news of
<v Speaker 1>the week that is coming your way this Sunday. All right,
<v Speaker 1>Be well, stay safe, have yourselves a great night, hit
<v Speaker 1>that like button on your way out. Leave a comment,
<v Speaker 1>share with anybody you think might enjoy this, and I'll
<v Speaker 1>see you back here at some point on Friday for
<v Speaker 1>the SmackDown review and Saturday for the Royal Rumble. Until then,
<v Speaker 1>take care, guys,
