<v Speaker 1>Wednesday, February eleven, twenty twenty six, you are listening to
<v Speaker 1>the Daily Dough Sports podcast and I am your host,
<v Speaker 1>Clinton Daily, coming to you from my I seating here
<v Speaker 1>in Denver, Colorado, and we are back for another week
<v Speaker 1>of talking sports with a dallas of common sense. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Happy Wednesday to you. Hope you had a good weekend.
<v Speaker 1>Hope you had a great Super Bowl party. I hope
<v Speaker 1>your week is going well and that you, your family,
<v Speaker 1>your friends are all staying strong and you're all staying healthy.
<v Speaker 1>Right now, and let me just see if I have
<v Speaker 1>this straight, because I have to be mistaken. So not
<v Speaker 1>only do we go into this coming weekend without any
<v Speaker 1>football whatsoever, but according to my calculations, yeah, we also
<v Speaker 1>have Valentine's Day on Saturday. Yeah. That's great news, isn't it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, isn't that just kidding on your neck? Fantastic?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah? Of course, the NFL season is now over with
<v Speaker 1>that Super Bowl completing on Sunday. Was it an exciting
<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl?
<v Speaker 3>No?
<v Speaker 1>Not really. The Seattle Seahawks defense was the difference with
<v Speaker 1>their ability to get pressure on New England Patriots quarterback
<v Speaker 1>Drake May and they did it with just their front four,
<v Speaker 1>and that allowed them to take away everything else New
<v Speaker 1>England wanted to do. I don't know if the Patriots
<v Speaker 1>had a great game plan. We can go ahead and
<v Speaker 1>blame Josh McDaniels for that one. But the game was
<v Speaker 1>largely boring. But we'll get to more of that in
<v Speaker 1>just a few minutes. We do have some other things
<v Speaker 1>going on in the world of sports, though. The twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty six Winter Olympics in Italy are cruising along, and
<v Speaker 1>while the Winter Olympics are mostly odd, I guess they
<v Speaker 1>do at least give us something to watch right now.
<v Speaker 1>You know, my problem with the Winter Olympics is that,
<v Speaker 1>with the exception of maybe the stuff that takes place
<v Speaker 1>on like skates, I look at most of the events
<v Speaker 1>like I mean, I guess I could do that if
<v Speaker 1>I had a few drinks in me. That's what makes
<v Speaker 1>the Winter Olympics a little bit weird. I watched the
<v Speaker 1>Summer stuff like, I couldn't throw the javelin that far,
<v Speaker 1>I couldn't pull vault the winner stuff. You're like, no,
<v Speaker 1>give me a few pops and put me on a sled.
<v Speaker 1>I just might win. So the Winner Olympics are at
<v Speaker 1>least giving us something to watch. I guess the NBA
<v Speaker 1>is now at about the midway point of their season,
<v Speaker 1>and we will have those NBA All Star Game festivities
<v Speaker 1>coming this weekend. But if you're wondering how the NBA
<v Speaker 1>is currently going, the NBA currently has a scandal that
<v Speaker 1>accuses players of using insider information to rig player prop bets.
<v Speaker 1>So how does the NBA respond to that? Well, this
<v Speaker 1>past week, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Janni Santa Decompo has now
<v Speaker 1>purchased some shares of the prediction market platform Caushi and
<v Speaker 1>is going to be an endorsed spokesperson for them. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>congratulations to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, you have ruined the NBA.
<v Speaker 1>Well done. Hey, you know I always say I do
<v Speaker 1>not believe that leagues are actually fixed until Vegas stops
<v Speaker 1>releasing odds on those leagues. Like I mean, Vegas doesn't
<v Speaker 1>release odds on WWE, it's fixed. We all know it. Well, NBA,
<v Speaker 1>you're getting dangerously close to that line. Well done, Adam Silver,
<v Speaker 1>You're the worst commissioner in all sports. College hoops got
<v Speaker 1>its biggest boost of the season so far this past
<v Speaker 1>Saturday when the number fourteen North Carolina tar Heels hit
<v Speaker 1>a three to beat the number four Duke Blue Devils
<v Speaker 1>at the buzzer. Hey, college basketball, honestly, it feels a
<v Speaker 1>little weird right now, right I mean, we have players
<v Speaker 1>that have gone to the G League and now they're
<v Speaker 1>suing to come back to college to make more money
<v Speaker 1>in college. I mean, it feels weird. College hoops is
<v Speaker 1>just a little bit weird right now. But it was
<v Speaker 1>kind of good to see some excitement about the actual
<v Speaker 1>play on the floor instead of that weird stuff. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna once again have a wide open March Madness
<v Speaker 1>field this spring. In games like Carolina Duke, they give
<v Speaker 1>us at least a little bit of excitement. So while
<v Speaker 1>football is over Valentine's Day is this weekend, we do
<v Speaker 1>still have a few things to watch in the world
<v Speaker 1>of sports right now. But of course, the big news
<v Speaker 1>this past week was Super Bowl sixty and we actually
<v Speaker 1>recorded a live podcast as soon as that boring game ended.
<v Speaker 1>Let's jump into that right now today on Does we
<v Speaker 1>are actually recording this live from the Northern Plains Glida, Roddy,
<v Speaker 1>home of the Mayor and his lovely wife, where they
<v Speaker 1>have just hosted another outstanding Super Bowl party. For super
<v Speaker 1>Bowl sixty which did just finish up. We are recording live,
<v Speaker 1>like I said, and first and foremost, that was a
<v Speaker 1>really boring game. Like we had a tough time just
<v Speaker 1>getting through that game. You just were waiting for the
<v Speaker 1>the final seconds to tick off the clock. But it
<v Speaker 1>was rough. We have the Mayor joining us right now. Mayor,
<v Speaker 1>welcome and thank you for hosting once again. This is
<v Speaker 1>the second party you have hosted, but thank you for
<v Speaker 1>joining us.
<v Speaker 4>I reached out to you, I said, hey, we need
<v Speaker 4>another daily dose of super Bowl party and we're here,
<v Speaker 4>and I'm glad you're here. And we had about what
<v Speaker 4>fortify people, We.
<v Speaker 1>Had a We had a pretty good turn out, solid.
<v Speaker 4>Turnout, all the food, all the all the cocktails, and
<v Speaker 4>even the kids. We have a little few kids about
<v Speaker 4>to pop on here in a second. Definitely appreciate you
<v Speaker 4>being here and having a podcast here for sure.
<v Speaker 1>No, we thank you for hosting again and we hope
<v Speaker 1>that the damages to your home are minimal. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it was. It was another good party, despite the game
<v Speaker 1>being very boring. You know, the super Bowl has become
<v Speaker 1>such a huge event. It's not just the game, it's
<v Speaker 1>the the second biggest party of the year here in
<v Speaker 1>the United States, everybody does it up like we go.
<v Speaker 1>We go nuts for the Super Bowl, even if we
<v Speaker 1>didn't care about the game. I don't know that anybody
<v Speaker 1>here was a Seahawks fan. Nobody's a Patriots fan. It's
<v Speaker 1>just a party.
<v Speaker 4>The only reason, the only reason I was here was
<v Speaker 4>to host the party a b You know what.
<v Speaker 1>We had four affiliates with the Seahawks.
<v Speaker 4>For CSU rams go rams ok, and uh you know, hey,
<v Speaker 4>Tory Horton got his ring.
<v Speaker 1>Tory Horton is to get his ring sitting out on
<v Speaker 1>injured reserve, but he's going to get himself a ring,
<v Speaker 1>and that is outstanding. We will break down at least
<v Speaker 1>a little bit of that Super Bowl. But we've got
<v Speaker 1>a few people joining us today. We've got Ricky. Ricky,
<v Speaker 1>tell us where you're from, give me give me your
<v Speaker 1>name and where you're from, and give me what team
<v Speaker 1>you would be cheering for in the perfect world.
<v Speaker 5>I'm Ricky from Cheyenne, from Cheyenne, and in a perfect world,
<v Speaker 5>we'd be rooting on the Broncos.
<v Speaker 1>And thank you. I appreciate that we we are Bronco fans.
<v Speaker 1>I think most everyone here was probably pretty close to
<v Speaker 1>Broncos fans, I think, I believe. So, Yeah, it seems
<v Speaker 1>like it seems like we had a lot of Bronco
<v Speaker 1>fans here. I know a few people drifted out there.
<v Speaker 1>We may have had a few random kind of bandwagon
<v Speaker 1>Patriot fans, but but nothing nothing to be Okay. So
<v Speaker 1>we've got three Bronco fans right now, and now we
<v Speaker 1>have one other guest that we want to bring on
<v Speaker 1>the podcast real quick. We've got a young man named uh, well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna tell you his name, he's going to
<v Speaker 1>tell you his name. Give me your name, give me
<v Speaker 1>your age, and where are you from?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, my name is Lucas.
<v Speaker 1>I'm from Hyoming and I'm six years old. You're six
<v Speaker 1>years old? So are you in first grade? Then?
<v Speaker 2>Yes?
<v Speaker 1>Okay? Are you a football fan? Yes? And who is
<v Speaker 1>your favorite team? If you had to say Ernando? Wait
<v Speaker 1>say that again? Who's your team? Who's your team?
<v Speaker 2>The Red?
<v Speaker 1>The Red?
<v Speaker 2>What is that?
<v Speaker 1>What is the Red? Is this a soccer team? What
<v Speaker 1>am I missing here? The Texas Red Raiders? Oh? Debably not? Wow?
<v Speaker 1>Not Mike fan?
<v Speaker 2>Ricky?
<v Speaker 1>Is Lucas a Texas fan? Is that what we've got?
<v Speaker 1>We've got Texas long horns throw He's got he's throwing
<v Speaker 1>long horns at us. We I didn't know where we
<v Speaker 1>were going there. That's all right. We got we got
<v Speaker 1>dogs involved, We've got the whole things going at the Parliament.
<v Speaker 1>Benjamin's talking right now, Benjamin Shaddiger a little bit to us. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, it was a weird Super Bowl. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't ever feel like it ever got that interesting. It
<v Speaker 1>just kind of seemed like Seattle, even though they weren't
<v Speaker 1>scoring early, it felt like they were probably it was
<v Speaker 1>a matter of time. It seemed like they were going
<v Speaker 1>to break off a big one. New England couldn't get
<v Speaker 1>any offense going. The offensive line was horrible, and then
<v Speaker 1>we saw Seattle's defense, their defensive line just just completely
<v Speaker 1>decimate him. Yeah, yeah, that was That was a rough game.
<v Speaker 1>Final stats on the game are really going to be misleading.
<v Speaker 1>Sam Darnold, Seahawk's quarterback goes for two hundred two yards,
<v Speaker 1>He has one touchdown. Running back Kenneth Walker is one
<v Speaker 1>hundred and thirty five yards no touchdowns. Meanwhile, Patriot's quarterback
<v Speaker 1>Drake May throws two hundred and ninety five yards and
<v Speaker 1>two touchdowns. He didn't have two interceptions, but it was
<v Speaker 1>all garbage time, so it's completely meaningless. And you could
<v Speaker 1>see during the game You're like, he's putting up numbers
<v Speaker 1>late when the game was decided. It didn't matter. It
<v Speaker 1>just was a boring, nonsense game. Best part of the
<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl? Does anyone here at the table have their
<v Speaker 1>their high moment? A good commercial? You enjoyed the halftime? Anything?
<v Speaker 1>Anyone got anything for us? Ricky? What you got? Honestly? Yeah?
<v Speaker 5>I think the fourth quarter wasn't bad. You finally got
<v Speaker 5>some score.
<v Speaker 1>That's fair.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, a little bit of plays going on. Oh, it
<v Speaker 5>was kind of like, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Lucas, what was your favorite part of the Super Bowl today?
<v Speaker 1>The cupcakes?
<v Speaker 2>Yes?
<v Speaker 1>Really? That was that the best part of the day.
<v Speaker 1>Sliding down the staircase, sliding down the stairs. Yep, okay,
<v Speaker 1>well I'll be young again. Right, at least you had
<v Speaker 1>an eventful day to day. Are you going to be
<v Speaker 1>tired tonight?
<v Speaker 2>Do you feel like yes?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, here's the question for you. This is a million
<v Speaker 1>our question. Who won? And on that note, yeah, that
<v Speaker 1>was the kind of game that it was today. You
<v Speaker 1>were you're you're correct, there's no wrong answers. You you
<v Speaker 1>did kind of nail it. What a strange game. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna change this up though, because the game was what
<v Speaker 1>it was. The Seattle Seahawks win the game twenty nine
<v Speaker 1>to thirteen. I think I think missus does maybe won
<v Speaker 1>a square on your on your board over here on
<v Speaker 1>the on the MPG squares, So I'm going to at
<v Speaker 1>least be thankful for that. Did have a number of
<v Speaker 1>winner on the scores. But the problem was, by the
<v Speaker 1>time the game ended, everybody was falling asleep and the
<v Speaker 1>party was dwindling, and you had a good turnout today,
<v Speaker 1>and everybody's like, you know what, we're checking out, We're
<v Speaker 1>going home. Yeah, I'm rich. Normally where everybody hangs out
<v Speaker 1>and normally this is when the party starts.
<v Speaker 4>But they actually said third quarter.
<v Speaker 1>I think the game's gone. Oh yeah, no, it just
<v Speaker 1>was in the story. I mean, everybody checked out there
<v Speaker 1>like boring. It just was that kind of day. And
<v Speaker 1>that's too bad. Yeah, unfortunate, very unfortunate. But you know what,
<v Speaker 1>that's all right.
<v Speaker 4>Us being Colorado Bronco fans, you know, it just tappened
<v Speaker 4>the we're here for the squares and for the booze.
<v Speaker 1>That's exactly what it was. Okay, here's one thing I
<v Speaker 1>want you to think about, because, like I said, the
<v Speaker 1>super Bowl is a huge advent. It's not just a game.
<v Speaker 1>It's a huge party day. There are super Bowl games though,
<v Speaker 1>that you can remember where you were when you watch them.
<v Speaker 1>You can remember who you were with when you watched
<v Speaker 1>them and what you were doing when they actually took place.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it was your favorite team that won it all.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was just the people you
<v Speaker 1>were with. Maybe it was just a party that you went,
<v Speaker 1>whatever that was. We're going to go around the table.
<v Speaker 1>Lucas might be too young to find this one. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna go around the table and give me your best
<v Speaker 1>super Bowl memory. And like I said, it might be
<v Speaker 1>your favorite team, but it might not. It might just
<v Speaker 1>be like, no, this was a great game. I enjoyed
<v Speaker 1>the game, and from that perspective, that was my favorite
<v Speaker 1>super Bowl. Ricky Dia A favorite super Bowl that you
<v Speaker 1>look back on fondly and say, Okay, I remember where
<v Speaker 1>I was at, what I was doing. That was the
<v Speaker 1>funnest super Bowl I've ever been a part of.
<v Speaker 5>Well, obvious, the obvious one is super Bowl fifteen. Fifty
<v Speaker 5>Okay Manning, Yeah, Rockets.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>But a big one for me that I remembered all
<v Speaker 5>the time is Patriots Buccaneers, and the Buccaneers actually won
<v Speaker 5>the Super Bowl. I think I remember that one. My
<v Speaker 5>dad was in the military, so we were at one
<v Speaker 5>of you know, one of his friend's houses, and a
<v Speaker 5>bunch of kids there. I mean we're all eight, nine,
<v Speaker 5>ten years old, and I think most of us were
<v Speaker 5>actually watching the game.
<v Speaker 1>This is wait, this is Patriots, Bucks. No, Patriots, and
<v Speaker 1>Bucks haven't play. Give me, give me Patriots, Rams Patriots.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to think of who, well is that AFC, NFC.
<v Speaker 1>It sounds right, I mean, they just don't think.
<v Speaker 5>Think because I think it. For me, it was one
<v Speaker 5>of the first Super Bowls that I didn't see the
<v Speaker 5>Patriots win.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't a Super Bowl Eagles? Was it Eagles? When
<v Speaker 1>the Eagles won on the like when they scored fifty,
<v Speaker 1>I think that might have been the Buccaneers.
<v Speaker 5>The Buccaneers won, and this was a long time ago.
<v Speaker 5>The Buccaneers definitely won. I could have sworn they played
<v Speaker 5>the Patriots.
<v Speaker 1>So Bucks won in two thousand and three when they
<v Speaker 1>beat the Raiders and then they yeah, and then they won.
<v Speaker 1>When when Brady went back and beat the Chiefs in
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty twenty one, I'm trying to think of who
<v Speaker 1>else that would have been. I don't know unless it
<v Speaker 1>was Yeah, unless it was I haven't been in too
<v Speaker 1>many Super Bowls. No, I think they've been in two.
<v Speaker 1>Bet know what do you got?
<v Speaker 5>Maybe it was Bucks Raiders.
<v Speaker 1>It might have been. It might have been Bucks Raiders
<v Speaker 1>because that was yeah, and that defense was just so
<v Speaker 1>nasty against the Raiders that day. That as good as
<v Speaker 1>the Raiders offense was, and it was good at that
<v Speaker 1>time with Ridge Gannon, that defense was nasty and they
<v Speaker 1>just ate got the Maids for sure. No, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 1>I remember you should be stopping by Daily Dose Sports
<v Speaker 1>every single week to see what new things we have
<v Speaker 1>going on over there. We have links to the podcast.
<v Speaker 1>We have links to new articles each week. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>this week one went up that was actually Olympic flavored.
<v Speaker 1>I don't do that very often, but there was a
<v Speaker 1>subject out there we wanted to touch on, So remember
<v Speaker 1>to check that out. You can always email the podcast
<v Speaker 1>as well, Daily Dose Sports at gmail dot com. We
<v Speaker 1>do hear from listeners here and there, and we will
<v Speaker 1>always take the time to respond to you. We just
<v Speaker 1>might end up using what you send in on the show.
<v Speaker 1>And remember you can pick up Daily Dose gear at
<v Speaker 1>dyalodosports dot com right now too. We've got T shirts,
<v Speaker 1>we've got hoodies, we've got sweatshirts, we've got baseball caps.
<v Speaker 1>You can pick them in whatever color that you want.
<v Speaker 1>But if you need that last minute Valentine, make sure
<v Speaker 1>you stop by dealodosports dot com for me. Yeah, you
<v Speaker 1>got a go I mean solid John Lway sure, spinning
<v Speaker 1>the helicopter drive. Yeah, Bay Packer, Sure, that's the Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's one that's say. I mean, look at my hair.
<v Speaker 1>Hair in my arms just went up. Like when that
<v Speaker 1>was awesome. I was at my brother's house and I
<v Speaker 1>actually think I put in fifty bucks for a square
<v Speaker 1>and we won big. Oh dice, even that was even bigger,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like stoked. And when you were a Bronco
<v Speaker 1>fan at that point, there was almost that feeling that
<v Speaker 1>you didn't want to go back to the Super Bowl
<v Speaker 1>because you're like, I don't want to lose five, Like
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to have a fifth loss. We already
<v Speaker 1>had four, and you're going, oh no, we're going to
<v Speaker 1>take that back. The Bills had taken it from us.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to do it again. And then to go
<v Speaker 1>out and I remember that game so well because that
<v Speaker 1>first drive far drives him right down the field and
<v Speaker 1>you're like, oh no, here we go again. Exactly well
<v Speaker 1>we have the same thing again.
<v Speaker 4>And then when he comes back and then that but that,
<v Speaker 4>that's what we needed, was a little Terrell Davis.
<v Speaker 1>TD needed some help, and he finally got help.
<v Speaker 4>He got help, and he was on it. There was
<v Speaker 4>no There was definite TD help for John L.
<v Speaker 1>Wade. John always said we're winning this game. And you
<v Speaker 1>could see on that helicopter play where he dives and
<v Speaker 1>he and he goes and gets first down that they
<v Speaker 1>had to have. You could see just how much it
<v Speaker 1>meant to that team. I still remember him standing up
<v Speaker 1>and pumping his fist the bench, just going like no,
<v Speaker 1>We're like we're here to win this winn. Yeah, this
<v Speaker 1>isn't going to be the blot that we've had every
<v Speaker 1>single year. Correct. I'm waiting. We're kind of waiting right
<v Speaker 1>now to see who is going to win this m
<v Speaker 1>v P. And I don't think they've announced. Wait, who's
<v Speaker 1>that actual wait, is that Walker winning m v P.
<v Speaker 1>I who wins this? He's just told him that, Oh
<v Speaker 1>that is it is Walker Walker MVP. I didn't call it.
<v Speaker 1>I said, I said no touchdowns, but he had what
<v Speaker 1>five yards? Yep? Rushing? They good for him? Man with it.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, here's what I gotta say with it. Two running
<v Speaker 4>back system nowadays in the NFL. Yeah, and you're like,
<v Speaker 4>well if now if what's his uh charbonnet?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, if Sharon plays, it's it's And then it's like,
<v Speaker 1>will you give it to both of them? If they
<v Speaker 1>both have of course they would have you give it
<v Speaker 1>both to them. They have to run all over the Patriots. Yep,
<v Speaker 1>why not. Keep in mind Kenneth Walker, I believe is
<v Speaker 1>about to be a free agent. You you can't let
<v Speaker 1>him go, right, Like, you have to resign him. He
<v Speaker 1>just wins the m v P. Like, you've got to
<v Speaker 1>bring him back, don't you. Well, he's definitely got credentials. Now, well,
<v Speaker 1>you've got a really good backup and he's like solid.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, I don't know. Well, hey, there's the
<v Speaker 1>oh we have the we have the Mayor's lovely wife,
<v Speaker 1>the Mayor's lovely wife. You want to jump on here
<v Speaker 1>real quick. We need to. We need to at least
<v Speaker 1>thank you for for hosting this party. I switched with you.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna we're gonna bring on the Mayor's lovely wife.
<v Speaker 1>I hope make sure you can hear in there, Lucas.
<v Speaker 1>Nice job on the on the podcast, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>outstanding work job on the podcast. And and bring some
<v Speaker 1>hook him horns in for us that we did na
<v Speaker 1>see coming. I was waiting for some pokes. I was
<v Speaker 1>waiting Raiders. Yeah, I was, yeah, Red Raiders. And I
<v Speaker 1>was like, Ricky looks at him like, son, Oh I
<v Speaker 1>didn't teach you, well, you might as well, said Boomer.
<v Speaker 1>Holy cow, that melted down right there, melting right now. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>he's hurting.
<v Speaker 5>I didn't want to disrespect you in your own home,
<v Speaker 5>so I.
<v Speaker 1>Didn't want to Jose, Ricky. That was nice job, cowboy,
<v Speaker 1>belt buckalo. Right now we have we have the Mayor's
<v Speaker 1>lovely wife, who also we know was a co host
<v Speaker 1>on this. We would like to thank you so much
<v Speaker 1>for hosting the party, for hosting the podcast. We appreciate
<v Speaker 1>you having a sin. We hope we didn't damage your
<v Speaker 1>your no, your home too much, but thank you for
<v Speaker 1>for having us back after last year. We had a
<v Speaker 1>good time. We just unfortunately got a really boring game
<v Speaker 1>this year. Were you able to stay awake? Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>No, I'm happy to host, and I was happy to
<v Speaker 3>have everyone here. Thank you for being here, and I'm
<v Speaker 3>happy to have the second.
<v Speaker 1>Annual, second annual. Yeah, host MPG. Yes, super Bowl yep. No.
<v Speaker 2>It was a great group of people today.
<v Speaker 1>Really, So here's what I can say, okay.
<v Speaker 3>Is we gathered with a fantastic group of people of
<v Speaker 3>family and friends, and we watched some football.
<v Speaker 1>We did there. There there was something on going. There
<v Speaker 1>was something on.
<v Speaker 2>It was not the most exciting of games.
<v Speaker 1>No, it was a little bit boring. I was really
<v Speaker 1>kind of struggling to keep up with the game because
<v Speaker 1>it just wasn't the first half. I mean you were
<v Speaker 1>sitting there watching and what the first half ended up
<v Speaker 1>nine to nothing? I mean a thrill halftime? I mean
<v Speaker 1>half times. Yeah, it was all field goals. There were
<v Speaker 1>no big plays. It was just just a snooze fest.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm trying to stay wake halftime. I'm not positive.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty positive though, bad Bunny outgained the Patriots offense
<v Speaker 1>on that walk. He was just walking walking through the
<v Speaker 1>whole stadium.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, he may have.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and then they you know, they have all the
<v Speaker 1>people out on the field.
<v Speaker 4>I don't I don't know what was what did we
<v Speaker 4>say the first half stats?
<v Speaker 1>Uh? Yeah, there was a few that Philip Rivers kids.
<v Speaker 1>They filled up the they filled up the field. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that was half. I think Lady Gaga maybe joined him,
<v Speaker 1>did I wasn't she out there? I think she was
<v Speaker 1>out there. Yeah, I think she joined. It just wasn't
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't much of a game. It just wasn't very fun.
<v Speaker 1>The Seahawks, I guess, dominate dominated the first.
<v Speaker 4>I think I gave you that statu punt punt, punt,
<v Speaker 4>punt punt.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. The first after the Patriots was rough and you
<v Speaker 1>could see that offensive tackle Will Campbell really struggled to
<v Speaker 1>keep anyone in front of him got pushed around all
<v Speaker 1>day and that was a concern going into the game.
<v Speaker 1>I'll give the Seahawks this. They did a better job
<v Speaker 1>against Drake May running than the Dever Bronco was dead
<v Speaker 1>and that got her got hurt to see the because
<v Speaker 1>the Broncos allowed me to run way way way too
<v Speaker 1>much and that's what ended up killing Denver, Broncos. So
<v Speaker 1>Mayor's wife, you have something to say, you had something
<v Speaker 1>on your mind there. I could I could see the
<v Speaker 1>wheel turning. I don't know where you're going to go
<v Speaker 1>with that, but I could see the wheel turning.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, it's nothing related to this fantastic football games.
<v Speaker 1>Well no, you there was. There was no fantastic football game.
<v Speaker 2>But do you what do you have to say after that?
<v Speaker 1>Nothing? Well, then then I'm going to present I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to present the question to you. What's the what super
<v Speaker 1>Bowl in your history? What super Bowl do you remember
<v Speaker 1>that you just loved that, you were just like that
<v Speaker 1>was that was the super Bowl that made me happy?
<v Speaker 2>Well, without question, it is Super Bowl fifty.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, we've got to We've got to know the Super
<v Speaker 1>Bowl fifty. Yes, Broncos beating the Panthers, Yes, yes.
<v Speaker 2>That was without question?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Peyton Manning, Yes, yeah that was.
<v Speaker 5>It was.
<v Speaker 2>But I also am old enough to remember all the
<v Speaker 2>Broncos like.
<v Speaker 3>Attempts yep at the Super Bowl, which you know, like
<v Speaker 3>I was born in Bronco bo Bronco fan. Yeah, like
<v Speaker 3>I literally was born into this, and so I've always
<v Speaker 3>just loved watching and cheering for the Broncos.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's what made today even harder because we
<v Speaker 1>were watching this going what if we had bows in
<v Speaker 1>that game, we might have been playing and I feel
<v Speaker 1>like we I don't know if we could, Yes, it
<v Speaker 1>might have been better than this fiasco. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>That was a rough one.
<v Speaker 4>But again, I saw those stats against uh, the Seahawks
<v Speaker 4>versus Patriots, and they're all top three against Patriots, and
<v Speaker 4>the Patriots were all like bottom twenty five.
<v Speaker 1>The Patriots the softest path ever to get to exactly.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you played the softest regular season cchentuled since
<v Speaker 1>the nineties. You get to see the Chargers backup offensive line,
<v Speaker 1>you get to see c. J. Stroud, and then you
<v Speaker 1>get to see Jared Stadam. So it was a soft
<v Speaker 1>path for the Patriots to get there.
<v Speaker 4>Anyways, and I bet you Patriots fans are going to
<v Speaker 4>argue this right now.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they're gonna argue about let's talk about it. They're
<v Speaker 1>gonna argue about why Belichick and Craft didn't get into
<v Speaker 1>the Hall of Fame either, but they're gonna argue about
<v Speaker 1>a lot of things. All right, Well, I'm we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna, you know, wrap this up because I don't
<v Speaker 1>want the podcast to be as boring as the game.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so we we all don't have nothing to talk
<v Speaker 4>about them, like, yes, we all hate the Patriots.
<v Speaker 1>We're all gonna one two talk about it was boring.
<v Speaker 1>It was boring. No, we're gonna all go read the
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if something interesting A drink.
<v Speaker 3>I don't think I even saw cool commercial.
<v Speaker 1>No, we were just talking about that half time. Halftime
<v Speaker 1>was fine. Commercials were nothing itself.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe I kind of glanced over and I think I
<v Speaker 4>saw the AI Friends one.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, I didn't even see it. I think I totally
<v Speaker 1>missed it. I saw I saw a horse raising an
<v Speaker 1>eagle er So I don't even know what was going on.
<v Speaker 1>I don't The commercials were not great.
<v Speaker 4>If anything, let's say this, Do we have something to
<v Speaker 4>look forward to with bo Nicks and the Broncos next year?
<v Speaker 1>Yes? Absolutely.
<v Speaker 4>I really feel that everyone's like, oh, you guys barely won,
<v Speaker 4>you barely won, you barely won.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, man, let's go. Let's do the Broncos. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>we just talked about John Elway didn't win it until
<v Speaker 1>he got some help. Tell me the help that bow
<v Speaker 1>Knicks had this year. You lose your starting running back,
<v Speaker 1>you didn't have a tight end that contributed regularly, your
<v Speaker 1>best wide receivers, Courtland Sutton, and he drops the easy ones.
<v Speaker 1>Bo Nix needs some help, and they need to go
<v Speaker 1>get him a few pieces to play with because this
<v Speaker 1>team has defensively coaching wise, you've got a few pieces
<v Speaker 1>in place. You've got to go find him a few
<v Speaker 1>more weapons. They didn't have nearly enough that you could see, especially,
<v Speaker 1>you know, against you know, the Bills. Bo Nicks out
<v Speaker 1>played Josh Allen. Yes, I agree, And and you're sitting
<v Speaker 1>there going the Holy account and he's doing without much
<v Speaker 1>help really really here, Oh, I mean, I can't blame
<v Speaker 1>it that he did. He did out play Josh though,
<v Speaker 1>Yeah he didn't turn it over and Josh did and
<v Speaker 1>and Josh is a phenomenal quarterback, but bo was better
<v Speaker 1>that day. And again he did it without much help.
<v Speaker 1>The Broncos need to go get some people because they
<v Speaker 1>should have been playing. Yeah, I agree, we should have
<v Speaker 1>been playing.
<v Speaker 5>And I think you're absolutely right on the weapons part
<v Speaker 5>of that, because bo Nicks is like Sean Payton's.
<v Speaker 1>That's his guy, that's his guy. That's it. This is
<v Speaker 1>Drew Brees too. Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, and if he got some good weapons on the
<v Speaker 5>on the eving core.
<v Speaker 1>We're really really hoping like Evan Ingram is going to
<v Speaker 1>come out and kind of you know, Jimmy Graham or somebody.
<v Speaker 1>He just never really materialized. You couldn't keep a running
<v Speaker 1>back healthy with Dobbins going down. Dobbins might have been
<v Speaker 1>a game changer, but Harvey just not not an everyday back,
<v Speaker 1>at least not right now in his rookie year. But
<v Speaker 1>he's learning.
<v Speaker 2>I feel hopeful about.
<v Speaker 1>This next season, Oh for sure.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like with Bonix has a little bit of
<v Speaker 3>longevity with the team, I feel like we have some
<v Speaker 3>opportunity to build on that. I really hope we can
<v Speaker 3>really lean into that. And I'm putting all my cards
<v Speaker 3>in that.
<v Speaker 1>I agree with you one hundred percent. I think that
<v Speaker 1>that the future is right. It felt like a game
<v Speaker 1>tonight that we should have been involved in.
<v Speaker 3>But that, yeah, I agree, and I love I love
<v Speaker 3>Chean Pagne. I think he's got some good years left
<v Speaker 3>in him. Let's let's let's have some.
<v Speaker 4>Good We won't watch the games with their hands over
<v Speaker 4>well anymore.
<v Speaker 1>That did happen a lot this year. There are a
<v Speaker 1>lot of games that we were scared to the entire game.
<v Speaker 4>But can you give me a heart attack for the
<v Speaker 4>fourth times every sings quarter week with that team.
<v Speaker 1>All right, well, here's the question, here's the we'll finish
<v Speaker 1>on this. What in the world are we going to
<v Speaker 1>do until next football season? How are we surviving? Mexico
<v Speaker 1>sounds good? Yeah, does sound kind of good right now?
<v Speaker 1>Caldo Avalanche, they're on break, They're on break for the Olympics.
<v Speaker 1>But the Apps are playing very, very well. The Nuggets
<v Speaker 1>are still a contender. They will be in it if
<v Speaker 1>they can get healthy, they can get some people back.
<v Speaker 1>But it's going to be a long dry season until
<v Speaker 1>we can get the NFL because you know, we live
<v Speaker 1>and I just need them to keep going.
<v Speaker 4>But until season Broncos next year, maybe might get lucky,
<v Speaker 4>find somebody some help.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, if they can do that, but then it'll be
<v Speaker 1>it'll be a really fun year next year. Well, I
<v Speaker 1>want to once again thank you guys for hosting, Thank
<v Speaker 1>you for having the Daily does come in and and
<v Speaker 1>we had an amazing party, even though at the end
<v Speaker 1>of the party there's not much standing because everyone fell
<v Speaker 1>asleep because the game was so boring that is not
<v Speaker 1>on you. I feel bad for you because I'm like
<v Speaker 1>you over that is that is who could possibly have
<v Speaker 1>predicted we'd get maybe the most boring super Bowl at
<v Speaker 1>least in the last yeah, in the last fifty years.
<v Speaker 4>But if this is the case, though, but I want
<v Speaker 4>to extend it next year because I feel like the Broncos.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, hey, same time, same time, same same place, same time,
<v Speaker 1>and that, Yeah, I think let's plan on that we
<v Speaker 1>need to hear next year. Okay, we'll plan on that
<v Speaker 1>next year. We'll book that right now, and we'll plan
<v Speaker 1>on that next year. We'll be back and hopefully we're
<v Speaker 1>watching our team play exactly instead of this boring nonsense
<v Speaker 1>that we just got done watching. Well, I want to
<v Speaker 1>thank you guys very very much. Always appreciate you hospitality,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for all that you contribute to the daily dose. Ricky,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for stalking by Lucas, thank you for stalking
<v Speaker 1>by Mayor, Mayor's lovely wife. We appreciate that. And we
<v Speaker 1>will wrap that up and we'll be talking a little
<v Speaker 1>more NFL next week. We might have to wrap up
<v Speaker 1>the season next week and put a big bow on
<v Speaker 1>this week. We have some awards we're going to be
<v Speaker 1>handing out next week, and they might not all be good,
<v Speaker 1>but we've got some awards we're gonna be handing out
<v Speaker 1>next week. For sure. Most boring game might have might
<v Speaker 1>have been this. Yeah, thank you guys very much. Everybody
<v Speaker 1>keep and I love the Dose for sure, love you Hey.
<v Speaker 1>Next week in the Dose, like I said, we are
<v Speaker 1>going to be rapping a nice pretty ribbon around the
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty five NFL season. We'll take a look back
<v Speaker 1>at some of the biggest disappointments, some of the better surprises,
<v Speaker 1>and we have a number of awards to hang out.
<v Speaker 1>We will be reflecting on the good and trust me,
<v Speaker 1>also the bad of the NFL season that we just
<v Speaker 1>saw complete. So make sure you check out the Dose
<v Speaker 1>and make sure you let a friend know to do
<v Speaker 1>the same.
<v Speaker 5>Hey.
<v Speaker 1>I want to say thank you again to the Mayor
<v Speaker 1>and his lovely wife for hosting the second annual Northern
<v Speaker 1>Plains Glitter Rodney Super Bowl party this year. And I
