<v Speaker 1>Tonight was a very special edition of AW Collision, which
<v Speaker 1>is the reason why I am live tonight here on
<v Speaker 1>Valentine's Day. Not normal that you would see me here
<v Speaker 1>for a Collision review, but this was Grand Slam Australia,
<v Speaker 1>so it's not just any regular Collision. And we had
<v Speaker 1>an AW World Championship match in the main event with
<v Speaker 1>MJF defending his title against Brody King. We had a
<v Speaker 1>number one contenders match to find out who would be
<v Speaker 1>going to Revolution to challenge the champion. We all know
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be MJF at Revolution, and we had,
<v Speaker 1>you know, on paper, looked like a pretty solid card.
<v Speaker 1>So I said, you know what, we'll go live tonight
<v Speaker 1>and we'll talk about the show. I don't know how
<v Speaker 1>long we'll be here for, but we'll talk about the show.
<v Speaker 1>And it was very similar to last year's show in
<v Speaker 1>that it was a good show. In this case, it
<v Speaker 1>was a and I think it was quiz shout out
<v Speaker 1>to quizzical one in the chat, who I think summed
<v Speaker 1>it up pretty well. It's basically a televised house show
<v Speaker 1>with actual stakes. We had a world championship, We had
<v Speaker 1>multiple championship matches on this show. But we had a
<v Speaker 1>world title match again, we had another match with Revolution implications,
<v Speaker 1>So that's kind of what it felt like to me.
<v Speaker 1>We got some good wrestling, not a lot of major
<v Speaker 1>story development here on this show, anything outside of crowning
<v Speaker 1>the number one contender for Revolution, So it wasn't too
<v Speaker 1>heavy on that. But yes, we know who will be
<v Speaker 1>challenging MJF. It will be Hangman Adam Page. I know
<v Speaker 1>there were some people who were hoping maybe Andrade go
<v Speaker 1>a little outside the box Androde and MJF in Los
<v Speaker 1>Angeles next month. But and this is especially true for
<v Speaker 1>the people who talk a lot about story, and story
<v Speaker 1>is obviously very important. Tony Kahan puts a premium on
<v Speaker 1>the end ring, but you have to have some sort
<v Speaker 1>of story involving these characters to kind of title together.
<v Speaker 1>And the reality is the person who makes sense for
<v Speaker 1>this spot is Hangman Adam Page because there is a
<v Speaker 1>history between Hangman and MJF. And as I've pointed out,
<v Speaker 1>and there are two matches last year, MJF lost both
<v Speaker 1>of those matches. I mean it only and look what
<v Speaker 1>happened a few weeks ago when MJF got beaten and
<v Speaker 1>embarrassed on TV. Who was the man who came out
<v Speaker 1>and that he blames for that. It was Hangman Adam Page.
<v Speaker 1>It was always going to be Hangman Adam Page in
<v Speaker 1>that spot going to revolution. Hey, I hope one day
<v Speaker 1>we get to see MJF and Andrade. It just won't
<v Speaker 1>be in LA. But that was the outcome that made
<v Speaker 1>the most sense here. MJF of course still the AW
<v Speaker 1>World Champion. I don't know that anybody legitimately thought it
<v Speaker 1>would go any other way, especially what we saw a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks ago on TV. We got a proper match
<v Speaker 1>here between these two went about twenty minutes long. I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was a good match. You know. One thing
<v Speaker 1>I noticed with this show, and I'd be very curious
<v Speaker 1>to hear from people who were actually in attendance at
<v Speaker 1>the event, But there were parts of the show where,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, the crowd seemed kind of lively, But there
<v Speaker 1>were also matches where the crowd, Yeah, they had about
<v Speaker 1>seven thousand people I believe in the venue. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what the venue capacity was. It was bigger than
<v Speaker 1>your your average television audience for AW. So they had
<v Speaker 1>a decent number of people there, and it just felt
<v Speaker 1>like for certain matches in parts of the show, the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was not as I don't know, invested or not
<v Speaker 1>as loud as you would hope for them to be,
<v Speaker 1>and it kind of affected a couple of matches there.
<v Speaker 1>But we had MJF in the main event. We had
<v Speaker 1>Kyle Fletcher putting his TNT championship on the line of
<v Speaker 1>what they build as Game seven in a ladder match
<v Speaker 1>against Mark Briscoe. I was stunned to see Tamaso Champa
<v Speaker 1>lose the TNT title that quickly on television this week.
<v Speaker 1>I still don't agree with that. I see why they
<v Speaker 1>did what they did here. They wanted to have Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>go in and get a big moment here and pay
<v Speaker 1>off this feud with him and Mark Briscoe that's been
<v Speaker 1>going on out for months. I still disagree with the move.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher got his moment. When all was said and done,
<v Speaker 1>we had John Moxley and Kenoski TAKESHTA Continental championship on
<v Speaker 1>the line, and not only did we not get a winner,
<v Speaker 1>we did not get an outcome here for this match.
<v Speaker 1>But it appears, based on what we saw here tonight,
<v Speaker 1>that the match for Revolution may not be Okata and Takashda.
<v Speaker 1>There may be a different plan in place here. I've
<v Speaker 1>been waiting for this rematch with Okata and Takeshtan. It
<v Speaker 1>looks to me like they're gonna make us wait if
<v Speaker 1>what I saw tonight is any indication quite a while,
<v Speaker 1>potentially before we actually see that rematch between the two
<v Speaker 1>of them, because there may be another rematch coming up
<v Speaker 1>before that. Wheeler yuda he also got a haircut on
<v Speaker 1>this show. It had to be him. It had to
<v Speaker 1>be him. I mean, look, you can't even see the
<v Speaker 1>guy's face. He's walking around. He's like he's like he's
<v Speaker 1>wearing a bush. Of course it was going to be
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler Yudah. And then you have the women's tag team
<v Speaker 1>titles on the line as well. We had a women's
<v Speaker 1>World championship change on Wednesday. Now, I thought coming into
<v Speaker 1>this show we would have up to two title changes.
<v Speaker 1>As it turned out, we got the title changes on
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite and we got nothing tonight because tech Labete Chris
<v Speaker 1>Statlander on Wednesday. But still the tag team champions the
<v Speaker 1>Babes of Wrath. But there is a new addition to
<v Speaker 1>the women's roster in aw Tony Kahan continues his signing
<v Speaker 1>Binge although I'm going to say this one was probably
<v Speaker 1>done quite a while ago and they just waited until
<v Speaker 1>now to make it official and make the announcement. It
<v Speaker 1>is a very solid edition though, whatever you think about
<v Speaker 1>all the people that he's been signing so far this year,
<v Speaker 1>and again I have a feeling this signing goes back
<v Speaker 1>even before this year. He was just kind of waiting
<v Speaker 1>for the right moment to announce it. But this person
<v Speaker 1>that he signed is a very solid addition that I
<v Speaker 1>like very much to this women's division. So we will
<v Speaker 1>talk about who that is, and we'll talk about the
<v Speaker 1>entire show. It was a good show overall. It was
<v Speaker 1>an easy two and a half hours to watch. But again,
<v Speaker 1>if you watched it, you saw some good wrestling. If
<v Speaker 1>you didn't watch it, outside of missing some good matches,
<v Speaker 1>you didn't miss a whole lot. This is not a
<v Speaker 1>show that if you missed it, oh my god, all
<v Speaker 1>these big developments, we got to go back and check
<v Speaker 1>it out. No, no, not really, but you did get
<v Speaker 1>some good wrestling here in these two and a half hours.
<v Speaker 1>This is your aw Grand Slam Australia twenty twenty six review.
<v Speaker 1>I am the Solemn Monster. Thank you for hanging out
<v Speaker 1>with me here and being my Valentine here on Valentine's Day.
<v Speaker 1>Hit that subscribe button, hit that like button, and we'll
<v Speaker 1>take the wheel for a spin. I don't know that
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be terribly active tonight, but we will
<v Speaker 1>take the wheel for a spin to find out if
<v Speaker 1>by chance we hit our goal. How many likes do
<v Speaker 1>we need to do be the booker? Four hundred? We
<v Speaker 1>had four hundred likes. We will be the booker. We
<v Speaker 1>had quite the night last night during the SmackDown review
<v Speaker 1>and not the best night for be the Booker. It
<v Speaker 1>would be nice to kind of get our mojo back
<v Speaker 1>and make up for what we did last night. But
<v Speaker 1>we'll see. So there you go. Get to work on that.
<v Speaker 1>Let's get to work here on this show. Ex Caliber
<v Speaker 1>and Tony Shavani, they were the announced team here. Shout
<v Speaker 1>out to the dude in the crowd. I didn't get
<v Speaker 1>a photo of it, but there was a guy in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd who was holding up a sign that said
<v Speaker 1>too many belts. I salute you, sir. He is one
<v Speaker 1>hundred percent right. That's like a general rule, by the
<v Speaker 1>way in wrestling today, too many belts. See this guy
<v Speaker 1>knows just this one poor guy with a sign in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd, just trying to spread the word. They opened
<v Speaker 1>with the continental title on the line with John Moxley
<v Speaker 1>defending against Kenoski Takeshta. No don callous because nobody was
<v Speaker 1>allowed a ringside There's no outside interference allowed here in
<v Speaker 1>these continental title matches. There was a dive early on
<v Speaker 1>in this match here by Moxley where he almost overshot
<v Speaker 1>Ta Keshta and almost took a header right into the floor.
<v Speaker 1>Came flying out with such momentum he couldn't stop himself.
<v Speaker 1>So they brawled on the floor for a while. Moxley
<v Speaker 1>whipped him into the barricades. Takeshta went Moxley into the barricade,
<v Speaker 1>charged him with a big boot. They ended up back
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and Moxley dumped him with a pile driver.
<v Speaker 1>Takesha the fought back, so Moxley did what Moxley does.
<v Speaker 1>He thumbed him in the eye. Sent them back out
<v Speaker 1>to the floor. After a commercial, we got a blue
<v Speaker 1>thunderbomb that got Ta Keshta a near fall, and they
<v Speaker 1>were fighting and jockeying for position up on the top
<v Speaker 1>turn buckle and to Casa went for a power bomb
<v Speaker 1>out of the corner. Initially Moxley blocked it. He let up,
<v Speaker 1>though Takesha ended up walking him out of the corner
<v Speaker 1>with the last ride power bomb for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Moxley caught him with a cutter out of nowhere, a
<v Speaker 1>curb stomped him on the apron. He waited for the
<v Speaker 1>referee to count to Keshta out. He barely beat the
<v Speaker 1>count back in and he slid back into the ring
<v Speaker 1>right into another curb stomp. So Moxley locked down the
<v Speaker 1>bulldog choke and they announced five minutes remaining. Takesha started
<v Speaker 1>to fade, Moxley put the body scissors on and he
<v Speaker 1>transitioned into a cross arm breaker. Takeshta got to the
<v Speaker 1>ropes though ex caliber. He then clarified for US on
<v Speaker 1>commentary that when it comes to the Continental title, these
<v Speaker 1>matches here on TV have a twenty minute time limit
<v Speaker 1>and on pay per view they have a sixty minute
<v Speaker 1>time limit. So I like how he's clarifying this. We're
<v Speaker 1>fifteen minutes into this match, but he clarified it for us.
<v Speaker 1>So Takesha hit a pair of exploders, he missed a
<v Speaker 1>knee strike. Both men traded sleeper attempts until Moxley spiked
<v Speaker 1>him with a death rider only for a two Takesha
<v Speaker 1>escaped a second attempt at a death rider and was
<v Speaker 1>exchanging head butts with Moxley. We got the one minute
<v Speaker 1>time call here in this match, so Moxley was bleeding
<v Speaker 1>from the nose and they were both staggered by head
<v Speaker 1>butts momentarily. Now, I will say I mentioned the crowd
<v Speaker 1>before they announced I think thirty seconds left in this match,
<v Speaker 1>and when they said that, the crowd went crazy. The
<v Speaker 1>crowd was going nuts here for the last thirty seconds
<v Speaker 1>of this match. Moxley hit a lariot for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Takashia hit a knee strike to the back of the
<v Speaker 1>head for another one just as the time limit expired,
<v Speaker 1>and after the match was over, Moxley and Takasha they
<v Speaker 1>started brawling again. Takasha gave him the raid Fire, which,
<v Speaker 1>of course, had he done that during the match, he
<v Speaker 1>might be the champion right now, but he gave it
<v Speaker 1>to him when the match was over. And the way
<v Speaker 1>this was left, and you know, ex Caliber, there's a
<v Speaker 1>reason why I think ex Caliber butted into let us
<v Speaker 1>know about twenty minutes on TV, sixty minutes on pay
<v Speaker 1>per view, and then we got this no contest here,
<v Speaker 1>we got this time limit draw. It was a very
<v Speaker 1>good match. Again, the crowd was understandably pissed at the
<v Speaker 1>time limit draw. But the only conclusion that you're left
<v Speaker 1>with here watching this match is that we are going
<v Speaker 1>to get a remap. Of course we're going to get
<v Speaker 1>a rematch, but we're going to get a rematch at Revolution.
<v Speaker 1>Now Here, I am sitting here coming out of World's
<v Speaker 1>End and everything that they were building to for that
<v Speaker 1>inevitable match right between Okata and Takeshta, and the match
<v Speaker 1>they had was good, but it was actually underwhelming because
<v Speaker 1>you know they're capable of so much more. It just
<v Speaker 1>felt like they were holding back in that first match,
<v Speaker 1>and it's like, okay, well, we don't have a pay
<v Speaker 1>per view again until March fifteenth, so we still got
<v Speaker 1>a few months and you'll build to a rematch or Revolution. Well,
<v Speaker 1>now we're a month away from Revolution, and it looks
<v Speaker 1>like the match that we're probably gonna get is Ta,
<v Speaker 1>Keshta and Moxley for the Continental Championship, which makes me
<v Speaker 1>wonder if the plan here is to have takesh to
<v Speaker 1>take the title from Moxley at Revolution and then wait
<v Speaker 1>and build to the rematch between Okada and Takeshta at Wembley,
<v Speaker 1>which is in August. They wouldn't make us wait that long,
<v Speaker 1>would they? Would they make us wait that long and
<v Speaker 1>do Okada to Keshta at Wembley Champion versus Champion to
<v Speaker 1>unify the titles back together? Of course they would. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if that's what they'll do. Would they do it? Though? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I'm I'm sure Tony would do it. But if I
<v Speaker 1>have to wait until August to get this rema between
<v Speaker 1>Okada and Takeshda, I'm not going to be very happy
<v Speaker 1>about this. But that was the impression I was left
<v Speaker 1>with when this was over, because they've done nothing in
<v Speaker 1>recent weeks to really advance any of that story with
<v Speaker 1>Okata and Takeshta. They really have done nothing, honestly, so
<v Speaker 1>it's very plausible that they're gonna make us wait several
<v Speaker 1>months before we get that match. This match here, though, again,
<v Speaker 1>it was very good. I wouldn't mind seeing them run
<v Speaker 1>it back again, but the idea of having to put
<v Speaker 1>the other match off for that long is just not
<v Speaker 1>something I'm terribly interested in, so I guess we'll have
<v Speaker 1>to wait and see, but I do think Takesha ends
<v Speaker 1>up with that continental title. I do think the endgame
<v Speaker 1>here is to get gold on him. Okada has the
<v Speaker 1>international title, and eventually when they do clash, you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have a unification of those two titles to whoever wins,
<v Speaker 1>and that should be Takeshta. We have the babes of Wrath,
<v Speaker 1>Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron Australia's own Harley Cameron taking
<v Speaker 1>on Megabad, Megan Bain and Penelope Ford for the women's
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles. Hey MGM, ballin what's going on? Nineteen
<v Speaker 1>months of channel membership, says this is a good placeholder
<v Speaker 1>for those without a Valentine this year. Thank you solo. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean plenty of people here who I'm sure have
<v Speaker 1>already celebrated Valentine's Day and they're just hanging out with
<v Speaker 1>me talking wrestling here. It doesn't mean that everybody, doesn't
<v Speaker 1>mean that everybody is sitting around with a bottle in
<v Speaker 1>one hand and a gun in the other, But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>thank you, and they'll welcome Viva La Terry Davis is
<v Speaker 1>now a Channel member, and as is the MJF is mid.
<v Speaker 1>I'll have you know. MJF is anything but mid. I'll
<v Speaker 1>let him hear you say that. Tag team titles on
<v Speaker 1>the line here. Late in the match, Bain set camera
<v Speaker 1>up on her shoulders for a doomsday device. Willow stopped
<v Speaker 1>Penelope from climbing the rope, so Ford hit her with
<v Speaker 1>an Asai moon salt instead. All four women were brawling
<v Speaker 1>when Cameron hit Bane with a Canadian Destroyer and a
<v Speaker 1>Willow hit Bane with a death Valley driver. Harley missed
<v Speaker 1>a swanton bomb and Penelope caught Harley with a stunner,
<v Speaker 1>and then she tried to moonsalt. Harley, though, got out
<v Speaker 1>of the way and then caught Ford with a backslide
<v Speaker 1>for the flash pin. So Harley got a win in
<v Speaker 1>her home country. Good for her. I thought it was
<v Speaker 1>a decent enough match. There were no really believable near
<v Speaker 1>falls for the challengers, so I mean there was no
<v Speaker 1>real drama here, and honestly, I would have changed the
<v Speaker 1>titles here, especially when you look at what they did
<v Speaker 1>when the match was over. I'm not quite sure why
<v Speaker 1>they didn't, because when the match was over, we had
<v Speaker 1>somebody run in here. At the end. It wasn't gonna
<v Speaker 1>be all smiles and rainbows here for the baby faces.
<v Speaker 1>They were quickly laid out here by this mystery woman
<v Speaker 1>who is quickly identified, and it was Australian independent wrestler
<v Speaker 1>Lena Cross who comes into the ring. And Lena Cross,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, who was every bit as big as
<v Speaker 1>Meghan Bane, if not taller. I'm gonna say she's every
<v Speaker 1>bit of six foot. She comes into the ring, she
<v Speaker 1>drops Harley Cameron and she and Megabat are working together.
<v Speaker 1>They both lay out the babes of Wrath and Penelope
<v Speaker 1>Ford grabs their belts and they're holding up the tag
<v Speaker 1>belts and Megan Bain has Willows a TBS championship and
<v Speaker 1>they're holding up all the belts. And actually, before I
<v Speaker 1>go any further, I have to mention here that in fact,
<v Speaker 1>Lena Cross, this is her. She is all elite. And
<v Speaker 1>I know this because the graphic was posted before I
<v Speaker 1>went live tonight. See, it's never official until the graphic
<v Speaker 1>is up. And again I'm willing to bet that this
<v Speaker 1>has been the case for many months. Tony Kahan was
<v Speaker 1>just waiting for the Big Australia Show to debut her. Now,
<v Speaker 1>you would think that you know people down there. I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure know her, she is Australian, that she would have
<v Speaker 1>gotten a better reaction. I don't know if they just
<v Speaker 1>edited it out of the show because she's supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be a heel and maybe they cheered her. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I heard she got a big reaction, but it didn't
<v Speaker 1>come across that way on TV, which was kind of surprising.
<v Speaker 1>But yes, Lena Cross is now officially all elite and
<v Speaker 1>we had Lena I will say this, and the reason
<v Speaker 1>I am very bullish on this, we had Lena Cross
<v Speaker 1>in House of Glory two years ago. Funny enough, we
<v Speaker 1>had her in House of Glory to wrestle Meghan Main
<v Speaker 1>when Meghan Bain was the Hog Women's Champion, and they
<v Speaker 1>had a hell of a match, very hard hitting, which
<v Speaker 1>I think is really her style. But I just remember
<v Speaker 1>it being a very good match. And I'm surprised it
<v Speaker 1>took this long for her to show up on TV somewhere,
<v Speaker 1>you know, outside I think of one match that she
<v Speaker 1>had last year on Collision. It's been about a year
<v Speaker 1>and a half probably since we had her in and
<v Speaker 1>I would have expected her to be on television somewhere
<v Speaker 1>consistently by now, but better late than never. I like
<v Speaker 1>this pickup for the women's division. Whatever you think of
<v Speaker 1>all the signings that Tony Khan is making and is
<v Speaker 1>he's signing too many people and the people that he
<v Speaker 1>signed that aren't even on TV, Leana Cross is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a very solid addition to that women's division,
<v Speaker 1>assuming that he uses her in aw and she doesn't
<v Speaker 1>end up transitioning over to a Ring of Honor or
<v Speaker 1>something like that. So I like this. I like this signing,
<v Speaker 1>but the way they did this was very strange. If
<v Speaker 1>they were going to do this, if they were going
<v Speaker 1>to have her make her big debut tonight on this
<v Speaker 1>show in Australia and align herself with Megabad, then why
<v Speaker 1>the hell wouldn't she just show up and help them
<v Speaker 1>win the titles. Why would she show up when the
<v Speaker 1>match was over and they've already lost. I mean to
<v Speaker 1>what to do get Harley Cameron to win? Was it
<v Speaker 1>that important to get Harley Cameron to win? She got
<v Speaker 1>a match on this show. That should be enough. Kyle
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher got a big win later in the show. Not
<v Speaker 1>every Australian star on the show has to win tonight.
<v Speaker 1>It would have made more sense to put the belts
<v Speaker 1>on Megan Bain and Penelope Ford and make a statement
<v Speaker 1>that way, this woman shows up, she helps them win
<v Speaker 1>the championship. So that part I disagreed with. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why they didn't just do that. Maybe it'll make
<v Speaker 1>sense in a few weeks, but I think that would
<v Speaker 1>have been more impactful than having her run out there
<v Speaker 1>when they already fucking lost. But I'm glad to see
<v Speaker 1>that she is officially signed. Now. We had Hangman Adam
<v Speaker 1>Page against Andrade. This was a very important match because
<v Speaker 1>the winner of this match go on to challenge for
<v Speaker 1>the AW World Championship on March fifteenth at Revolution against
<v Speaker 1>whoever the champion may be. Gee. I wonder, I wonder
<v Speaker 1>who the champion will be. Don Khalish joined on commentary
<v Speaker 1>and Androtti he avoided a buckshot lariat. He was taunting Hangman,
<v Speaker 1>he's doing his tronquillo pos in the ropes. He booted
<v Speaker 1>him out of the ropes to the floor, and then
<v Speaker 1>ANDROTI went over to the barricade over by the barricade
<v Speaker 1>where this lovely young woman was just smitten with him,
<v Speaker 1>and she looked awfully similar to the woman that we
<v Speaker 1>saw on TV I think last week who wanted a
<v Speaker 1>selfie with him. She definitely was not Australian, so she
<v Speaker 1>wanted a selfie and he took a selfie and then
<v Speaker 1>she kissed him on the cheek and then he got
<v Speaker 1>blasted in the face with a boot by Hangman. So
<v Speaker 1>then Hangman goes over to the woman and he's like,
<v Speaker 1>I'll take a selfie with you, and she's like sure,
<v Speaker 1>she's already moved on. So now Hangman takes a selfie
<v Speaker 1>with her, and she wants to get a kiss, and
<v Speaker 1>Hangman pulls away and he goes, no, no, I'm married.
<v Speaker 1>See it's a faithful man. There you go. He's also
<v Speaker 1>on television, so he's not a fucking idiot inmy I mean,
<v Speaker 1>if he's gonna kiss her, it's like, all right, here,
<v Speaker 1>here's here's my room number. We'll get do this off camera.
<v Speaker 1>We're not gonna do this on TV. I'm a married man.
<v Speaker 1>You know. Valentine's Day? Can you imagine the Hangman's wife
<v Speaker 1>watching this show. It's fucking Valentine's Day. He's not even
<v Speaker 1>home and she's watching the show and he's getting kissed
<v Speaker 1>by this woman and getting kissed by that woman. At
<v Speaker 1>least do it off camera. So back in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>Page went for a superplex, Androde blocked it. He went
<v Speaker 1>for a sunset flip out of the corner. Page blocked that.
<v Speaker 1>He tried for a tombstone, Androde blocked it. Hangman went
<v Speaker 1>for a springboard off the middle rope and Androde jumped
<v Speaker 1>onto the ropes with him and then took him down
<v Speaker 1>with a Spanish fly and Androde control throughout the commercial break.
<v Speaker 1>Page charged into the corner with a lariat and he
<v Speaker 1>dropped Androde with a pop up power bomb for a
<v Speaker 1>dear fall, Androte almost came down head first by the way.
<v Speaker 1>They brawled down to the ring apron where Hangman went
<v Speaker 1>for a dead eye and Eldelo he counted out into
<v Speaker 1>a sunset flip. Page They'll rolled through into a lariat,
<v Speaker 1>so Hangman came off the top of the lariat for
<v Speaker 1>a near fall. Androde came back with the three Amigos
<v Speaker 1>and the crowd broke out into a chant of Eddie,
<v Speaker 1>which is customary whenever you do that. Spot Androtte took
<v Speaker 1>too long though, going for a moon salt. Hangman rolled
<v Speaker 1>out of the way, but Andrede landed on his feet
<v Speaker 1>and he hit the standing moon salt for a two count.
<v Speaker 1>Page caught Androte after this with a springboard lariat, Androte
<v Speaker 1>tried for a springboard torneo dive out to the floor,
<v Speaker 1>and Page caught him. I don't think he did. There
<v Speaker 1>was a little bit of editing trickery going on here.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think he caught him because then they shot
<v Speaker 1>this into different camera and there was a little bit
<v Speaker 1>of a jump cut here, so it didn't go as
<v Speaker 1>smoothly as they wanted. But he got him up and
<v Speaker 1>he delivered a fallaway slam into the barricade outside, right
<v Speaker 1>into the guardrail, and I mean Androde smacked into that guardrail.
<v Speaker 1>So back inside. Page went for the buck shot lariot
<v Speaker 1>Androte was too far away though, and he caught Page
<v Speaker 1>when he landed in the ring with the back elbow,
<v Speaker 1>Androte hit a meteora in the corner and then the
<v Speaker 1>hammerlock DDT only for two, Androte went for DDT for
<v Speaker 1>a second time. Page though countered, and eventually he dropped
<v Speaker 1>him on his head with a dead eye. So now
<v Speaker 1>Don Kallas is panicking at ringside. He's like, oh shit,
<v Speaker 1>this is not going to end well. So he gets
<v Speaker 1>up from commentary and he goes over to the apron.
<v Speaker 1>He jumps up on the apron and he's grabbing Aubrey
<v Speaker 1>Edwards and he's trying to distract the referee. And so
<v Speaker 1>this gives Androte an opportunity here to try for the
<v Speaker 1>low blow punk kick, but Page sees it coming and
<v Speaker 1>he blocks the kick. He catches his foot and he
<v Speaker 1>gives it right back to him and he kicks him
<v Speaker 1>in the dick. And then after that, Hangman goes to
<v Speaker 1>the apron. He hits the buck shot lariot and he
<v Speaker 1>gets the wind. This got thirteen minutes. Has a lot
<v Speaker 1>of matches did on this show outside of the main
<v Speaker 1>event they got thirteen minutes. If this was on pay
<v Speaker 1>per view, this would have gotten another five to ten
<v Speaker 1>minutes easily. And we see a lot of matches on
<v Speaker 1>these aw pay per views that I think get a
<v Speaker 1>little too self indulgent. Frankly, there are matches sometimes that
<v Speaker 1>are given twenty five minutes that really have no need
<v Speaker 1>to go twenty five minutes, especially when you have a
<v Speaker 1>pay per view with eleven other matches. So that's a
<v Speaker 1>common issue when I'm watching these aw pay per views.
<v Speaker 1>I remember there was a match, it might have been
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher and brisco It was definitely a Mark Briscoe match
<v Speaker 1>a few months ago that got like twenty five minutes,
<v Speaker 1>And there were other matches on the show that I
<v Speaker 1>thought were more important that didn't even get that much time.
<v Speaker 1>So I say this because on this show was the
<v Speaker 1>opposite where there were certain matches that didn't get enough time,
<v Speaker 1>but they were restricted because it was a TV special.
<v Speaker 1>So if this was on Revolution, for example, this would
<v Speaker 1>have gotten twenty minutes easily, and it felt like they
<v Speaker 1>needed it because as good as this match, and it
<v Speaker 1>was a very good match, these two guys can go,
<v Speaker 1>and it just felt like they never reached that fever
<v Speaker 1>pitch right that you would hope for, like if they
<v Speaker 1>had gotten another five or six minutes even they would
<v Speaker 1>have kicked it up into another gear and it just
<v Speaker 1>sort of ended prematurely. So that was the disappointment there.
<v Speaker 1>People will debate the outcome of this match if you
<v Speaker 1>are of the belief if you just are not a
<v Speaker 1>Hangman fan, or you are, but you're like, man, you
<v Speaker 1>know what, I don't want to see him in there
<v Speaker 1>with MJF. I don't want to see him in there
<v Speaker 1>wrestling for the championship, fair enough. I like Hangman. I
<v Speaker 1>don't mind. Hang Many has great matches, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>people call him the main character in AW and it's
<v Speaker 1>very true. You know, he's certainly one of them, if
<v Speaker 1>not the main character. The history with MJF is the
<v Speaker 1>reason why he is going to Revolution. I don't mind
<v Speaker 1>the match. Would Andrade going in there have been a
<v Speaker 1>more interesting match? Yes, yes, because Androte is not a
<v Speaker 1>babyface and the way that Hangman is, he's part of
<v Speaker 1>the don Kallis family right. Callus is one of the
<v Speaker 1>more hated vile characters on the entire show. And it
<v Speaker 1>would have been very interesting going into that Los Angeles
<v Speaker 1>market with Androtti in the main event because he would
<v Speaker 1>have been the ultra baby face in there against MJF.
<v Speaker 1>And it would have been a match that we haven't seen,
<v Speaker 1>so it would be a fresh match, and you keep
<v Speaker 1>him undefeated for a little bit longer and then he
<v Speaker 1>loses to MJF. You could have done that what they
<v Speaker 1>did here, though, I don't mind it. I'm not going
<v Speaker 1>to shit on it because the story is there in
<v Speaker 1>a way that it isn't with Androtti and MJF. And
<v Speaker 1>I don't think you could be somebody who harps on
<v Speaker 1>story all the time and look at this and be
<v Speaker 1>upset about the fact that they went with the guy
<v Speaker 1>who has the heavier story history with MJF. To me,
<v Speaker 1>that's just hypocritical. But there's nothing wrong with feeling that
<v Speaker 1>way if you're just kind of bored of Hangman being
<v Speaker 1>in the world title picture. I'm just telling you this
<v Speaker 1>was the match I expected all along, because MJF was
<v Speaker 1>winless against this man all year last year, and then
<v Speaker 1>when he got beat in thirty fucking seconds by Brody
<v Speaker 1>King a few weeks ago, it was Hangman who came
<v Speaker 1>out to provide the distraction that led to that happening.
<v Speaker 1>Like everything was just sitting right there in front of you,
<v Speaker 1>screaming at you that the main event of this pay
<v Speaker 1>per view was going to be MJF and Hangman Adam Page,
<v Speaker 1>and now it is, and now MJF will have a
<v Speaker 1>chance to go in there and get his win back,
<v Speaker 1>And so it's predictable in that way. Maybe if Androtti
<v Speaker 1>would have gone, there would have been some unpredictability. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they're gonna put the belt on Androtte, But realistically
<v Speaker 1>it's not gonna happen. You have all of these different
<v Speaker 1>challengers that they have teased and set up for MJF
<v Speaker 1>over the next at least six months, whether it be Hangman,
<v Speaker 1>whether it be Swerve or Kenny Omhor whoever we already
<v Speaker 1>saw Bandido, Brody King Tonight, Will Osprey is going to
<v Speaker 1>be back at a few months hopefully. Right there's any
<v Speaker 1>number of people Darby, although to be honest with you,
<v Speaker 1>right now, I don't really have any interest in seeing
<v Speaker 1>that as some big pay per view title match. There's
<v Speaker 1>a lot of other people I'd rather see MJF, and
<v Speaker 1>they're right now than Darby. But the point is they're
<v Speaker 1>all set up for MJF. They're like bowling pins, you know,
<v Speaker 1>They've lined them up, and he's going to try to
<v Speaker 1>knock them all down until somebody knocks him down first.
<v Speaker 1>That person's not going to be Andrade. So to me,
<v Speaker 1>as far as predictability unpredictability, it's not radically different no
<v Speaker 1>matter who you put in there with him. So I'm
<v Speaker 1>just saying story wise, I understand why Tony kh stuck
<v Speaker 1>with Hangman. You know, we got Kenny O'megan, Swerve, Strickland,
<v Speaker 1>who are going to be wrestling on TV this Wednesday
<v Speaker 1>coming up? Swerve, if I were a betting man, Swerve
<v Speaker 1>is probably going to get the shot at Dynasty or
<v Speaker 1>Double or Nothing, right whichever show. Kenny Omegan doesn't get
<v Speaker 1>the shot because Dynasty's in Vancouver. It could ease be Kenny,
<v Speaker 1>it could be Swerved either way. But they're going to
<v Speaker 1>go down the line with these different challengers. And as
<v Speaker 1>far as Andrade is concerned, here's my hope with Andrade.
<v Speaker 1>Androtti has been fucking great since he came back to AIW.
<v Speaker 1>This man has been in peak form. He's out there
<v Speaker 1>and he looks super motivated and he's having fun. He's
<v Speaker 1>going out in these different indie promotions winning world championships.
<v Speaker 1>Right He's on a roll right now. And until tonight
<v Speaker 1>he was undefeated in this run in AW. So now
<v Speaker 1>he got beat, not the end of the world. Now
<v Speaker 1>it's on Tony Conda. Make sure that you don't, you know,
<v Speaker 1>kind of lose interest in the guy. Well, he already
<v Speaker 1>got beat, and so now we've got to focus on
<v Speaker 1>other people, and Androte kind of goes down this way.
<v Speaker 1>Androte has been one of the more fun parts of
<v Speaker 1>the show. You got to keep him in that mix.
<v Speaker 1>You got to keep him, you know, keep them moving
<v Speaker 1>along here. That's the key. Now, Andrade should still be
<v Speaker 1>a featured part of the show. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>and this could be an idea. And I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>talk about the TNT title in a little bit. Kyle
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher is still the TNT champion. Kyle Fletcher is part
<v Speaker 1>of the same group that Andrade is a part of.
<v Speaker 1>They have definitely given you hints that there is a
<v Speaker 1>babyface turn coming in the not too distant future for
<v Speaker 1>Kyle Fletcher, and so I wonder if there's a way
<v Speaker 1>to work Androte into this where the person who ultimately
<v Speaker 1>takes the title away from Kyle Fletcher is Andrade. And
<v Speaker 1>it could factor into an eventual split in the family
<v Speaker 1>where Fletcher is either excommunicated or he chooses to leave
<v Speaker 1>and says, fuck you, I don't need you anymore, whatever
<v Speaker 1>it is. But if Androte was to settle into a
<v Speaker 1>role as TNT champion sometime in the next few months,
<v Speaker 1>I like that. I think that would be a great
<v Speaker 1>place for him to be. And that's just one idea.
<v Speaker 1>He's too good to be demoted, you know, back down
<v Speaker 1>the car too far. That's my only hope with him.
<v Speaker 1>Just because he's not wrestling for the world title doesn't
<v Speaker 1>mean he's buried or his push is over. It's done,
<v Speaker 1>it's finished. You know. Sometimes Tony or some of these promoters,
<v Speaker 1>they have a short attention span. You know, they get bored.
<v Speaker 1>It's a joke about Vince McMahon all the time, right,
<v Speaker 1>he have his toys and Tony Kahan same thing. You
<v Speaker 1>get your toys, you play with your toys. After a while,
<v Speaker 1>you get bored. You put it on the shelf, or
<v Speaker 1>you put it in the toy chest. You buy a
<v Speaker 1>new toy, and you forget about the old toys, right.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want them to forget that. Androti is still there.
<v Speaker 1>He's still the shiny new toy. That's my only hope.
<v Speaker 1>But the match here between them, again, I would have
<v Speaker 1>liked for it to have gone longer, but this was
<v Speaker 1>a very good match. I enjoyed this. Shout out by
<v Speaker 1>the way to tone VC, also one of our esteemed
<v Speaker 1>Channel members. Yeh see, Sarah agrees it's a possibility you
<v Speaker 1>could see Androte and Fletcher out of this, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm telling you, man Androde, he has been on a roll.
<v Speaker 1>It's been a lot of fun to watch. It was unexpected.
<v Speaker 1>It was unexpected just the way things ended up being
<v Speaker 1>late last year, where we weren't even sure if he'd
<v Speaker 1>be back on TV. We didn't know if he'd still
<v Speaker 1>be sitting at home stuck in a contract. But it's
<v Speaker 1>been fun to watch. So we had a Tornado tag match.
<v Speaker 1>The loser of the fall would be forced to get
<v Speaker 1>their head shaved. Orange Cassidy and Timeless, Tony Storm taking
<v Speaker 1>on Wheeler Yuda and Marina Shafir Da had a strand,
<v Speaker 1>a purple strand of Mina Shirikao's hair attached to his
<v Speaker 1>own hair as he came out. This was after they
<v Speaker 1>cut off some locks from her head on Wednesday. So
<v Speaker 1>Cassidy and Storm they attacked Youdah and Shafir in the
<v Speaker 1>crowd as they were making their entrance. The brawl began.
<v Speaker 1>They all fought off. We got a split screen for
<v Speaker 1>a little bit because they were in two different areas,
<v Speaker 1>so it's just chaos in the crowd here at How
<v Speaker 1>do you pronounce this building? By the way they were
<v Speaker 1>in Tonight starts with a Q anybody know how you
<v Speaker 1>pronounce it. I don't know. Never heard of the venue before,
<v Speaker 1>but they were in Sydney, Sydney, Australia. So the big
<v Speaker 1>spot here. Early in this match, Wheeler Da gets Tony Storm.
<v Speaker 1>We got some intergender action going on here. He gets
<v Speaker 1>her on top of what to me there was like
<v Speaker 1>a black tarp over what looked like two tables. It
<v Speaker 1>may have just been one big equipment case. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>because he was going to give her a pile driver
<v Speaker 1>on top of whatever it was, and he did. He
<v Speaker 1>gave her a pile driver and whatever it was, it
<v Speaker 1>didn't break. And then she rolled off and fell on
<v Speaker 1>the floor. So she ended up being carried to the
<v Speaker 1>back by Luther I guess for a medical atime tension
<v Speaker 1>that left Orange Cassidy all by himself two on one.
<v Speaker 1>After a break, Tony came marching back down to the
<v Speaker 1>ring and she made a bee line for Marina Shaffir.
<v Speaker 1>We got Suplex City Germans Galore. Then she danced with
<v Speaker 1>Orange Cassidy until Marina Shafir beat him both up. Cassidy, though,
<v Speaker 1>was back with a beach break to Marina. You to
<v Speaker 1>look like he was gonna let Marina take the losing fall.
<v Speaker 1>He was gonna let her get her head shaved here
<v Speaker 1>so he could save his own head. And anyway, he
<v Speaker 1>thought about it for a moment. Stun Dug Millionaire to
<v Speaker 1>you to, followed by a tilted world DDT. Here comes
<v Speaker 1>the orange punch, but not so fast. Marina Shaffir now
<v Speaker 1>gets into the ring and he hesitates, but then he
<v Speaker 1>decides to go for it. She avoids it and got
<v Speaker 1>an ankle lock applied on him. At the same time,
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler Da got put in the TCM chicken wing by
<v Speaker 1>Tony Storm. So we have these these dueling submissions that
<v Speaker 1>are going on here at the same time, and Marina
<v Speaker 1>is shouting for Da, don't tap out, don't tap out,
<v Speaker 1>so she released her hold, Tony released hers on dah
<v Speaker 1>and the two ladies went at it until Udup blasted
<v Speaker 1>Tony with the busycu knee and he went for the pin,
<v Speaker 1>and it was only the intervention of Orange Cassidy that
<v Speaker 1>saved her hair. So there was a spot here where
<v Speaker 1>Dup blasted Shaffir with the busycu knee by accident, a
<v Speaker 1>little bit of friendly fire here from the death Riders.
<v Speaker 1>Tony took you to down with the German Suplex. Then
<v Speaker 1>there was the running hip attack in the corner. Orange
<v Speaker 1>Punch catches you, dah Tony finishes him off with a
<v Speaker 1>storm zero for a pinfall wind and you know what
<v Speaker 1>that means. That means that Wheeler Udah is going cue ball.
<v Speaker 1>Those are the rules. You gotta deliver on the stipulation. Now,
<v Speaker 1>Mina Shirakawa comes out. She's carrying a barber stool down
<v Speaker 1>to the ring. Luther has the barber tools. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>he had everything here. They put this tray in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>You got the scissors, you got the the trimmer, you
<v Speaker 1>got the little thing with the blue barbe side solution
<v Speaker 1>in it. They're all ready to go here. The only
<v Speaker 1>thing missing was the old school barber pole or brutus
<v Speaker 1>beefcake wearing, you know, the fishnets or whatever the fuck
<v Speaker 1>it was that he used to wear. That's the only
<v Speaker 1>thing that was missing here. So he kicks the stool
<v Speaker 1>over and he says, fuck this, and he bails out
<v Speaker 1>of the ring and he's gonna leave. He starts to
<v Speaker 1>leave through the crowd until John Boxley comes walking up
<v Speaker 1>to him and he blocks him and he says, you
<v Speaker 1>got to get back in there, and he's telling him,
<v Speaker 1>you lost, get back in there. Got to take it
<v Speaker 1>like a man, because you know John Boxley now he's
<v Speaker 1>all righteous and he's he's a babyface now even though
<v Speaker 1>the rest of the death Riders are not. Now he's
<v Speaker 1>telling him, you got to take your medicine like a
<v Speaker 1>big boy. You gotta go back in the ring. So
<v Speaker 1>you to return to the ring. And Marina goes back
<v Speaker 1>into the ring with him as she's holding his hand
<v Speaker 1>as he sits there, and Mina gets the first cut
<v Speaker 1>and she's got a little scissors and she's cutting the
<v Speaker 1>hair off. Tony has the scissors, Cassidy. Finally, he busts,
<v Speaker 1>will be here all night if they keep using these
<v Speaker 1>stupid scissors. So he busts out the trimmer and then
<v Speaker 1>he starts to really really shave the hair off and Moxley.
<v Speaker 1>They flash Moxley a look on his face of just
<v Speaker 1>disappointment as he's watching this, and so, look, I actually
<v Speaker 1>wasn't expecting this much intergender wrestling in this match, which
<v Speaker 1>was fine. I mean, the people enjoyed it. Look, this
<v Speaker 1>was in many ways the match on the car. We
<v Speaker 1>call it the comdown match. I guess but it was
<v Speaker 1>sort of the comic relief because there was a lot
<v Speaker 1>of humor here in this match, but it was also
<v Speaker 1>the payoff the the people wanted to see. They guaranteed
<v Speaker 1>you that somebody was gonna go bald. Now, actually nobody
<v Speaker 1>was really shaved, totally bald, but they promised you that
<v Speaker 1>somebody was going to get their head shaved, so they
<v Speaker 1>had to deliver on that stipulation. Wheeler da Nobody likes
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler Ydah. Of course we know this already. Nobody likes Dah.
<v Speaker 1>And after what he did to Marina or not Marina,
<v Speaker 1>but to Mina on Wednesday, it was the only outcome here, right.
<v Speaker 1>Of course he was going to get his come ups here.
<v Speaker 1>So when he finally did, the fans got what they wanted.
<v Speaker 1>The fans had fun with it. I really have not
<v Speaker 1>given a shit about the story, the stuff they've been
<v Speaker 1>doing with the conglomeration and all that. Like, I don't
<v Speaker 1>give a shit. He had Roderick Strong walking out the
<v Speaker 1>other night on you know, the Conglomeration, and like, I
<v Speaker 1>don't care personally, Like I just don't care about it.
<v Speaker 1>But Tony's Storm is such a great character, right, and
<v Speaker 1>people love Tony. They're giving other women a chance to
<v Speaker 1>have the spotlight in the division now, so I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to hear any of this nonsense about oh Tony Storm,
<v Speaker 1>look at look at the fall of Tony Storm. Like,
<v Speaker 1>Tony Storm is doing what you should be doing, which
<v Speaker 1>is giving other people an opportunity to shine and grow
<v Speaker 1>and get to a level where they can be maybe
<v Speaker 1>the next Tony Storm. And Tony Storm is bulletproof, so
<v Speaker 1>she could take a backseat for a little bit and
<v Speaker 1>be in a lesser story and still be every bit
<v Speaker 1>as over as she was before because she's fucking great.
<v Speaker 1>So there's no harm in it. I just haven't cared
<v Speaker 1>about some of the shit that they've had them doing.
<v Speaker 1>But in the end, the people got what they wanted
<v Speaker 1>to see. They got to see Wheeler you to get
<v Speaker 1>his head shaped. This week's episode is sponsored by Wicks.

<v Speaker 1>Ladder Match which was for the TNT Championship, Kyle Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>defending against Mark Briscoe. They built this as Game seven.
<v Speaker 1>This was they never built as a best of seven
<v Speaker 1>series between these two, but they were tied up six matches,
<v Speaker 1>three wins apiece, Game seven title on the line. Kyle
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher just won the title back on Wednesday from Tomaso Champa.
<v Speaker 1>Champa had the championship for what eleven days, didn't have
<v Speaker 1>it for very long, and I was stunned when they
<v Speaker 1>took it off of him that soon. And my hope
<v Speaker 1>was that, Okay, well they've gone and done this because
<v Speaker 1>they wanted Kyle Fletcher to get a big homecoming and
<v Speaker 1>come to Australia as the TNT champion, when realistically you
<v Speaker 1>could have had the two of them go to a
<v Speaker 1>time limit draw on Wednesday, And maybe they didn't want
<v Speaker 1>to do that because they knew they were doing a
<v Speaker 1>time limit draw on Saturday between Moxley and Takesta. But
<v Speaker 1>I'm just saying, if they would have gone to a draw,
<v Speaker 1>they were this close from going to a draw anyway,
<v Speaker 1>they were within three or four minutes of it, and
<v Speaker 1>you run that match back here on this show, that
<v Speaker 1>would have to me anyway, that would have been a
<v Speaker 1>little more like palatable. You still would have had Tomasso
<v Speaker 1>Champa dropping the belt in short order, and people would
<v Speaker 1>have some people would have been upset about that. But
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking at it going, why couldn't you just run
<v Speaker 1>that match back on Saturday. That match on Wednesday that
<v Speaker 1>they had was fucking great. That was the best television
<v Speaker 1>match all year so far, so ladder stipulation or no
<v Speaker 1>ladder stipulation, I would have loved for them to run
<v Speaker 1>that match back here. They wanted to wrap this up here,
<v Speaker 1>this whole series, and put a nice little bow on
<v Speaker 1>it and be done with it, and so that's why
<v Speaker 1>they did what they did. And my hope was, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>Champa calls himself the psycho Killer. Maybe he'll show up
<v Speaker 1>here on this show, right, Craze over losing the TNT championship.
<v Speaker 1>He was nowhere to be found. Champa had nothing to
<v Speaker 1>do with any of this. He was not on this show.
<v Speaker 1>My only hope for him is that he's the new guy,
<v Speaker 1>and he came in right like a bolt of lightning.
<v Speaker 1>He won the championship his first night in in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>technically his second night in. They gave him a badass presentation,
<v Speaker 1>great theme song, right checking all the boxes for Tamaso Champa.
<v Speaker 1>But we know how this goes. New guy comes in,
<v Speaker 1>maybe gets a little hot right away, and then fades.
<v Speaker 1>I hope not. I would prefer to see him as
<v Speaker 1>a heel psycho killer heel Champa. That's the way to go.
<v Speaker 1>Is he gonna go after the TNT title again? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see.
<v Speaker 1>Certainly there's no hint of that on this show. But
<v Speaker 1>whether it's the TNT title or something else, because they
<v Speaker 1>got so many frickin' belts in this company, take your pick.
<v Speaker 1>You got the national title, the international title, the Continental title,
<v Speaker 1>the TNT title, the world title. At least I got
<v Speaker 1>rid of the FTW title. Pick a belt. He can
<v Speaker 1>go after any of them, but Champa. You know, he
<v Speaker 1>built up some real momentum in these last two weeks.
<v Speaker 1>Don't squander it. That's all I'm saying, Don't squander it.
<v Speaker 1>It took all of thirty seconds for the fight here
<v Speaker 1>to go to the floor and they brawl around ringside.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher caught Briscoe with a half and half. Fletcher was
<v Speaker 1>the first to grab a ladder. Briscoe cut him off
<v Speaker 1>with a dropkick. Brisco claimed the ladder, set it up
<v Speaker 1>on the floor. Fletcher, though, caught up to him and
<v Speaker 1>slammed him on the apron. And the way he did
<v Speaker 1>this was so he's standing on the apron, he grabs
<v Speaker 1>brisco and kind of throws him, and brisco he hits
<v Speaker 1>the ropes like his legs hit the ropes. He kind
<v Speaker 1>of bounces off the ropes on the way down. The
<v Speaker 1>best way I could describe this it looked reckless and
<v Speaker 1>safer at the same time. I don't really know how
<v Speaker 1>to reconcile that. I think by him hitting the ropes
<v Speaker 1>in the way that he did, like it looked reckless,
<v Speaker 1>but I think it was actually safer for him to
<v Speaker 1>do so. And then Fletcher came off the ladder with
<v Speaker 1>the moon salt back inside. Fletcher lawn darted brisco The
<v Speaker 1>ladder is set up in the corner, it's between the turnbuckles,
<v Speaker 1>and he lawn darts him into the ladder face first,
<v Speaker 1>and you actually could see brisco you know, cutting himself.
<v Speaker 1>You could kind of sell he was cutting himself, and
<v Speaker 1>then the camera cut away. When they cut back to him,
<v Speaker 1>blood coming out of the top of his skull. So
<v Speaker 1>after a break, there's a ladder bridge that is set
<v Speaker 1>up on the floor between the ring apron and there's
<v Speaker 1>another ladder. Fletcher falls backwards, gently falls backwards onto the
<v Speaker 1>ladder bridge and Briscoe comes off the top with a
<v Speaker 1>froggy bow onto the ladder which does not break. Briscoe
<v Speaker 1>went for the belt which was pretty high up there.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher that was able to recover and catch up to him.
<v Speaker 1>He was also bleeding. Now Fletcher power bomb brisco off
<v Speaker 1>the ladder down through another ladder. Fletcher he set up
<v Speaker 1>another ladder bridge in the rain. Lots of ladders here.
<v Speaker 1>It's a ladder match, so he sets up another ladder
<v Speaker 1>bridge in between another ladder and the turnbuckles. Brisco took
<v Speaker 1>a bite out of Fletcher's bloody wound, and then he
<v Speaker 1>looks out into the crowd and he shouts tastes like
<v Speaker 1>shrimp on the barbie. Tony Schavani made some comment, Oh,
<v Speaker 1>you gotta love he's so entertaining. That's right, Tony. So
<v Speaker 1>that he put Fletcher through the ladder bridge with a
<v Speaker 1>j driller, a j driller. That should have been it,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, a jade driller through a ladder. That should
<v Speaker 1>be the end of the fucking match right there. Of
<v Speaker 1>course it wasn't that. There was a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>a delay, and so Brisco then climbs the ladder. He
<v Speaker 1>got his hand on the belt. Fletcher had already recovered
<v Speaker 1>and caught up to him. Fletcher gave Brisco a twisting brainbuster,
<v Speaker 1>give him a brainbuster off the top of the ladder,
<v Speaker 1>which is Fletcher's finishing move, basically right the sheer drop brainbuster.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher starts to climb and Brisco catches up to him.
<v Speaker 1>Now you can, as you can tell here, not a
<v Speaker 1>lot of time to sell big moves. This is the
<v Speaker 1>downfall of doing a match like this, and the downfall
<v Speaker 1>of doing a match like this on a television show
<v Speaker 1>where you have more severe time restrictions than you would
<v Speaker 1>would on a pay per view match, so that didn't help.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't want to just use that as the
<v Speaker 1>only excuse here, because this is unfortunately something that is
<v Speaker 1>a common occurrence in most ladder matches in wrestling, where
<v Speaker 1>big moves, in big spots like that, which frankly should
<v Speaker 1>be the end of the match, they're not given ample
<v Speaker 1>time to breathe, like these are major, you know, bumps
<v Speaker 1>that these guys are taking it like finishing moves being
<v Speaker 1>dropped on their fucking head. But you got to just
<v Speaker 1>keep it moving right onto the next, on to the next,
<v Speaker 1>on to the next, and there's no time to sell it.
<v Speaker 1>There's no time to really let it breathe, and that's unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>that's just the common issue with these types of matches.
<v Speaker 1>But Fletcher starts to climb, Brisco catches up to him,
<v Speaker 1>and Brisco sets up a second ladder and both men
<v Speaker 1>are fighting on top of their respective ladders. Fletcher pushes
<v Speaker 1>Brisco's ladder over. Now he's very slowly pushing the ladder over,
<v Speaker 1>and the fans are rising to their feet because they're
<v Speaker 1>expecting some sort of huge bump here and I'm looking around, like,
<v Speaker 1>are there tables stacked up? Maybe that I didn't see. No,
<v Speaker 1>the ladder is very slowly tipping over. The fans are
<v Speaker 1>waiting for something big to happen, and all that happens
<v Speaker 1>is that Brisco just jumps down off the ladder and
<v Speaker 1>he lands throat first on the top rope, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like a hangman, and you get like, the crowd is
<v Speaker 1>kind of like oh, and Fletcher is still on the
<v Speaker 1>ladder and he climbs up and he grabs the belt
<v Speaker 1>and he pulls it down and just like that, Kyle
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher retains the TNT Championship. There were some brutal bumps
<v Speaker 1>in this match, and again I wish they would have
<v Speaker 1>let some of those bigger, like the brainbuster and the
<v Speaker 1>jay Driller and stuff like that. I wish they would
<v Speaker 1>have I mean, at least let that breathe a little
<v Speaker 1>bit more. But the finish came off very anti climactic,
<v Speaker 1>Like think about what I just described to you. We
<v Speaker 1>had a jay driller through a ladder, We had a
<v Speaker 1>brainbuster off a ladder. We had a froggy bow off
<v Speaker 1>the top rope down onto a ladder bridge like we
<v Speaker 1>saw some wicked shit in this match. And then it
<v Speaker 1>ends when Fletcher gently tips the other ladder over and
<v Speaker 1>he just falls, you know, face first, wrote first over
<v Speaker 1>the top rope, and the match is over. It just
<v Speaker 1>didn't match the high points of the match. The finish
<v Speaker 1>fell flat. People were very happy to see Fletcher retain.
<v Speaker 1>Of course they were in his hometown. He was the
<v Speaker 1>returning hero, so I mean they were happy about that.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, the finish came off very anti climactic. But
<v Speaker 1>finally this feud can be over. There is no Game eight,
<v Speaker 1>there's no such thing. There's no Game nine, there's no
<v Speaker 1>Game ten. It's totally Game seven. And that's it. The
<v Speaker 1>series is over. And so now Kyle Fletcher can move
<v Speaker 1>on to whoever the next challenger is going to be. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I just laid out an idea involving Andrade. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>saying that has to be the next guy. We'll see
<v Speaker 1>if Champ is still in the mix, but it's time
<v Speaker 1>to move on from Mark Brisco in this spot. So
<v Speaker 1>then we had the main event, and the main event
<v Speaker 1>of this show. Yeah, selling, what the fuck is that? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I know, I know, I know, Hey, Markel, fifty four
<v Speaker 1>months of channel membership been a minute finally made it live.
<v Speaker 1>I'm happier with us. I'm usually not live for collision,
<v Speaker 1>but I made an exception tonight. I'm glad you could
<v Speaker 1>be here. Main event was for the AW World Championship.
<v Speaker 1>It was MJF defending against Brody King. I have to
<v Speaker 1>give a shout out to the ring announcer here, Arcady Ara.
<v Speaker 1>She was handling the ring introductions here for the show
<v Speaker 1>and for the main event, and I thought she did
<v Speaker 1>an excellent job here. I just wanted to say that
<v Speaker 1>I thought she she especially for the ring intros here
<v Speaker 1>for the title match, she did a hell of a job.
<v Speaker 1>And for those of you who want to know, yes,
<v Speaker 1>the fans in Australia did chant it and no TNT
<v Speaker 1>did not edit them off the show, so now you know.
<v Speaker 1>So Brody he press slammed MJF out of the corner. Early.
<v Speaker 1>King went for a cannonball in the corner. MJF moved
<v Speaker 1>out of the way, so Brody crashed and burned and
<v Speaker 1>he was selling his left leg, his left knee like
<v Speaker 1>he may have heard it. He may have wrapped it
<v Speaker 1>around the rope. MJF saw this and he took to
<v Speaker 1>working on the leg. He was wrapping it around the
<v Speaker 1>ring post. Later on JF clipped the knee and then
<v Speaker 1>he busted out the old kangaroo kick. We haven't seen
<v Speaker 1>one of those in a while, and the crowd popped.
<v Speaker 1>So then MJF flipped him off. He followed King out
<v Speaker 1>to the floor with the toepay back inside. MJF avoided
<v Speaker 1>a sent on and he went to an ankle lock.
<v Speaker 1>He was tying King up with a knee bar and
<v Speaker 1>Brody was able to break the hold by getting to
<v Speaker 1>the ropes. So after a break, Brody, even on the
<v Speaker 1>bad wheel, he is going to hit a toepace. Suicida
<v Speaker 1>is a giant man, and this man comes flying through
<v Speaker 1>the ropes out of the ring, wipes out MJF, who
<v Speaker 1>actually made it back into the ring before Brody did.
<v Speaker 1>But Brody went on the offense. He gave MJF a
<v Speaker 1>backdrop and MJF let out it oh shit as he
<v Speaker 1>was backdropped high into the air right before he took flight.
<v Speaker 1>It's you know, it's like little things like that, Like
<v Speaker 1>even earlier in the match when Brody, you know, Gorilla
<v Speaker 1>pressed him up, did the same thing, just let out
<v Speaker 1>like a little oh shit. Just little things like that
<v Speaker 1>that adds so much. So they wound up outside the ring.
<v Speaker 1>MJF was seated up against the barricade and Brody backed
<v Speaker 1>up and he came charging in even on one leg
<v Speaker 1>for a running crossbody. Then he got MJF back inside
<v Speaker 1>and he had the crowd barking. In comes Brody with
<v Speaker 1>the cannon ball, this time it connects, he covers him,
<v Speaker 1>MJF kicks out, so he goes for the gonzo bomb.
<v Speaker 1>MJF flips out of it and he gets a sleeper
<v Speaker 1>hole applied and the knee gives out. So now MJF
<v Speaker 1>has got him in the hold down on the mat
<v Speaker 1>and Brody's eyes are all glazed over. The arm drops
<v Speaker 1>once and we have I think it was Tony Shavani
<v Speaker 1>on commentary who's saying, well, you know it's got to
<v Speaker 1>it's got to drop three times, so it drops ones.
<v Speaker 1>But here's Bandido. We haven't seen Bandido in a few
<v Speaker 1>and he's got a brace on his left hand. He
<v Speaker 1>does have a hand injury, apparently, it's like I guess,
<v Speaker 1>a relatively minor injury, but he does have a legitimate
<v Speaker 1>hand injury. So that's what that was. But Bandido is out.
<v Speaker 1>He is shouting to Brody to try to rally him
<v Speaker 1>and try to wake this guy up. Don't give up,
<v Speaker 1>don't give up, he's saying, don't give up. And King
<v Speaker 1>gets back to his feet and he falls backwards to
<v Speaker 1>break the hold. Bandido is pounding on the mat. He's
<v Speaker 1>trying to rally his tag team partner back to his feet.
<v Speaker 1>MJF rolls out to the floor. King goes to take
<v Speaker 1>flight again. This time though, MJF jumps up on the
<v Speaker 1>apron and he grabs him and he delivers a DDT
<v Speaker 1>through the ropes onto the apron. So now Brody is
<v Speaker 1>on the floor and Bryce Remsburg is counting. MJF dives out.
<v Speaker 1>Now Brody was supposed to catch him seamlessly on his shoulders.
<v Speaker 1>He didn't. He just he picked him up and put
<v Speaker 1>him back on his shoulders, and then he delivered it
<v Speaker 1>running death Valley Driver into the guardrail, and man, did
<v Speaker 1>MJF hit that guardrail hard? So now both met her
<v Speaker 1>down outside. Bryce is up to seven, counting both guys
<v Speaker 1>out here and Bandido it brod He's back to his
<v Speaker 1>feet and it looks like Brody's about to just go
<v Speaker 1>back into the ring, and Bandido's like, you got you
<v Speaker 1>gotta get him back in the ring like he forgot,
<v Speaker 1>So he goes over and he grabs MJF and at
<v Speaker 1>the very last possible second, he gets MJF and himself
<v Speaker 1>back into the ring before the ten count, So Bandido
<v Speaker 1>saved his ass on that one. MJF, though, pulls out
<v Speaker 1>the dynamite diamond ring from his trunks and he goes
<v Speaker 1>to use it, and Bryce catches him, and as he
<v Speaker 1>argues with the referee, King blasts him with a forearm shot.
<v Speaker 1>I swear it sounds like a gunshot going off, and
<v Speaker 1>he got MJF trapped in the sleeper over the ropes.
<v Speaker 1>This was just like in their first match, and his
<v Speaker 1>body goes limp and MJF falls to the floor, so
<v Speaker 1>Brody goes out after him. He deposits him back inside
<v Speaker 1>the ring. Here comes the gonzo bomb and it connects.
<v Speaker 1>He drops him straight down on his head and he
<v Speaker 1>covers him and MJF kicks out. So MJF gets Brody
<v Speaker 1>out flat on the apron, laying out there on the apron,
<v Speaker 1>and he starts undoing Brody's knee brace on the bad
<v Speaker 1>knee and Brody's trying to fight back and MJ's fighting
<v Speaker 1>him off, and he's now he's pulling the brace down
<v Speaker 1>to expose the knee. He starts biting him on the knee.
<v Speaker 1>MJF gets up on the apron. Brody though was gonna
<v Speaker 1>give him a gonzo bomb on the apron. Brody ends
<v Speaker 1>up on the ropes because MJF he held onto the rope.
<v Speaker 1>He was like, you're not gonna fucking drop me again
<v Speaker 1>on my head. So Brody ends up like sitting on
<v Speaker 1>the ropes and MJF grabs him and he gets him
<v Speaker 1>in a tombstone position, and instead of dumping him with
<v Speaker 1>a tombstone on the apron, he slams him down flat.
<v Speaker 1>And then he follows back in the ring with the
<v Speaker 1>heat Seeker and he spikes Brody and he covers him
<v Speaker 1>and he pins him clean, just like that, twenty one
<v Speaker 1>minutes into the match, and MJF is still the aw
<v Speaker 1>World Champion. When the match was over, we hear Hangman's
<v Speaker 1>music and he storms down to the ring. He's got
<v Speaker 1>the Revolution contract in his hand, gets right up in
<v Speaker 1>front of mjf's face and he signs the contract and
<v Speaker 1>MJF holds up his title. Hangman makes like he's gonna
<v Speaker 1>go leave, and then he makes like he's gonna like
<v Speaker 1>he rares back like he's gonna stab him in the
<v Speaker 1>head with a pen, and MJF. He flinches and he
<v Speaker 1>falls down to the mat and Hangman leave the ring
<v Speaker 1>and he power walks to the back. As ex Caliber
<v Speaker 1>reminds us, we have a big match coming up on
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite next week between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland, and
<v Speaker 1>nothing has been announced as far as you know, any
<v Speaker 1>kind of stipulation. It's not like a number one contenders
<v Speaker 1>match or anything like that, but that is a big
<v Speaker 1>match that they have already announced. In addition, there's going
<v Speaker 1>to be a face to face between MJF and Hangman
<v Speaker 1>on that show. Mind you, they're having a face to
<v Speaker 1>face for Revolution. Revolution is still a month away, you know,
<v Speaker 1>we still got four weeks to go, but we're going
<v Speaker 1>to get a face to face between them. This was
<v Speaker 1>a very good match, a very surprisingly clean win for MJF,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought they worked it well, you know, with
<v Speaker 1>the focus being on Brody's bad knee, so you had
<v Speaker 1>the psychology of that bandido coming out trying to cheer
<v Speaker 1>lead for Brody to kind of rally him and get
<v Speaker 1>him back into things. It was also the second straight
<v Speaker 1>match though, where we had a finish that came off
<v Speaker 1>as anti climactic. I mentioned the Fletcher match and the
<v Speaker 1>way that ended it just it kind of fell flat.
<v Speaker 1>The finish here fell flat too, because I just think
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people weren't expecting the heat seeker to
<v Speaker 1>be the finish. And I mean, I'm sure he's used
<v Speaker 1>it as a finish in some of his matches before,
<v Speaker 1>but it's not really been established as like the finishing move.
<v Speaker 1>You know that mjf uses in every match, and I
<v Speaker 1>just think at that moment in that spot, a lot
<v Speaker 1>of people were in it weren't really expecting that to
<v Speaker 1>be it, and then the match was just kind of over.
<v Speaker 1>But I also don't think people really believe that the
<v Speaker 1>finish was going to go any differently here. You know,
<v Speaker 1>there was really no And I talk about this even
<v Speaker 1>with some of the WWE matches. You know, one of
<v Speaker 1>the things that happened sometimes is when you telegraph the
<v Speaker 1>outcome of the match in advance, it's hard for people
<v Speaker 1>to buy into all the near falls. It's hard for
<v Speaker 1>people to really fully invest in it. When Hangman beat
<v Speaker 1>Andrade earlier in the show, like it was over, we
<v Speaker 1>already knew at that point with one hundred percent certainty.
<v Speaker 1>I mean with ANDROTI it would have been ninety eight
<v Speaker 1>percent certainty. But we already knew at that point what
<v Speaker 1>the match for Revolution was going to be. So maybe
<v Speaker 1>that factored into it a little bit as well as
<v Speaker 1>far as the direction for Revolution. Just to go back
<v Speaker 1>to what I said before, it could have been Andrade.
<v Speaker 1>It would have been a great match, It would have
<v Speaker 1>been a great atmosphere in La doing that. In the
<v Speaker 1>main event, the story is MJF and Hangman, and they
<v Speaker 1>want to put this story to bed and then move
<v Speaker 1>on to whoever the next challenger is going to be,
<v Speaker 1>whether it's Kenny, whether it's Swerve. They want to close
<v Speaker 1>this chapter on the story between MJF and Hangman, and
<v Speaker 1>so you'll see in their face to face on Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>this week. You know, MJF is going, I'm sure he's
<v Speaker 1>going to bring up the fact that you know, he
<v Speaker 1>went zero for two against this man last year, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and it eats him up inside because he knows he's
<v Speaker 1>better than him. And they're going to bring up all
<v Speaker 1>the history between them. These are two guys that go back.
<v Speaker 1>These are two of the ogs you know, outside of
<v Speaker 1>the EVPs and someone like Darby. These are the ogs
<v Speaker 1>here of AW. They were there from day one in
<v Speaker 1>twenty nineteen. You know, their history goes back that far.
<v Speaker 1>I think that segment they had back in twenty nineteen
<v Speaker 1>with Brett Hart where he I think unveiled the AW
<v Speaker 1>world title, if I remember correctly, I think Hangman and
<v Speaker 1>MJF were involved in that segment. So that's why we're
<v Speaker 1>getting this match here revolution. But either way, I'm cool
<v Speaker 1>with it. Either way, Hangman and MJF, Andrade and MJF.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully ANDROTI will have another big match on that show,
<v Speaker 1>maybe Fletcher, maybe Kyle Fletcher. But again, it for me,
<v Speaker 1>it was an easy two and a half hours. He
<v Speaker 1>got some good matches. But if you didn't see the
<v Speaker 1>show story wise, big developments or anything, I mean, yes,
<v Speaker 1>Lena Cross showed up, but in terms of big developments,
<v Speaker 1>he didn't miss much. It really was like a big
<v Speaker 1>house show that happened to have some high stakes because
<v Speaker 1>we had a bunch of championships that were on the line.
<v Speaker 1>Now we have a number one contender for the pay
<v Speaker 1>per view that was the story of revolution or the
<v Speaker 1>story of Grand Slam heading into revolution. You know it's
<v Speaker 1>a big show because I'm live for a collision review
<v Speaker 1>that never happens. It may not happen again until they
<v Speaker 1>go back to Australia next year. This may be it
<v Speaker 1>is your big annual collision Collision live review here. But
<v Speaker 1>where I CMJF in the main event for the World Championship.
<v Speaker 1>To me, that's a big show. You know, that's a
<v Speaker 1>show worth covering. Here. Let's take a look at the
<v Speaker 1>Twitter poll what did you think of Grand Slam? With
<v Speaker 1>nearly eight hundred votes in so far, sixty seven percent
<v Speaker 1>thumbs up, thirty two point seven percent thumbs down. The
<v Speaker 1>the MJF is mid, says I only watch for Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>and MJF. Yeah, but if he's mid, why are you
<v Speaker 1>watching him? Brett Hart doesn't remember MJF. Sadly, yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>saw that clip too. Part of me would like to
<v Speaker 1>think that Brett is trolling, but sadly I don't think
<v Speaker 1>he is. Springwood says, the first collision I've seen in years. Well,
<v Speaker 1>what did you think? What did you vote? In the poll?
<v Speaker 1>He didn't tell me, you didn't mention it. Alright, let's
<v Speaker 1>take a look at your super chats here which he
<v Speaker 1>thought of the show tonight, and we'll get you out
<v Speaker 1>of here. I will start with Toya. Toya ain't nice, says,
<v Speaker 1>it's been a real heavy, sad week for me, but
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to say congrats on the podcast. I'll be
<v Speaker 1>your valentine. Well, I'm sorry it's been a tough week
<v Speaker 1>for you. I don't know what's going on, but I
<v Speaker 1>hope it gets better for you, and I appreciate the offer.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, Boots with that one hundred dollars Boots bomb.
<v Speaker 1>It may be the last collision he sees in years.
<v Speaker 1>It could be I don't know, but some other big
<v Speaker 1>matches worth watching here. I see enough wrestling as it is. Boots,
<v Speaker 1>you are the men, but you already knew that. Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>brother street Fighter. I'm sorry, but have zero interest in Mosley.
<v Speaker 1>What is his story? Yeah, his story is a little weird.
<v Speaker 1>He's the babyface and a lot of the other members
<v Speaker 1>of his crew are heels. His story is that he
<v Speaker 1>is the fighting champion who I guess has seen the
<v Speaker 1>error of his ways. I don't know they haven't really
<v Speaker 1>flushed it out all that well. Willow wisp another Hangman
<v Speaker 1>versus MJF match mid Randy Bobandi says, I'm not sure
<v Speaker 1>if you watch them growing up, could you rank your
<v Speaker 1>favorite Stooges. I'm not gonna count Joe der Rita or
<v Speaker 1>Joe Besser because let's be honest, they don't count. You know,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't watch them. I was an Abbott and Costello guy.
<v Speaker 1>I was not a three. I don't hate the three Stooges.
<v Speaker 1>I just I didn't grow up on them. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>watch them. I'm aware of them, but I'm not a
<v Speaker 1>Stooges guy having and Costello man. That's my jam uh
<v Speaker 1>vival Terry Davis, I love you, solo, Thank you, Terry.
<v Speaker 1>Why did he see his errors because Tony Kahn told
<v Speaker 1>him to? That's That's as good of an explanation as
<v Speaker 1>they gave on television. Randy says, heiden Reich is a
<v Speaker 1>better poet than Kip. You mean Kit Kip? Who cute
<v Speaker 1>Kip Kip Sabian? Who are we talking about here? Talking
<v Speaker 1>about Kit Wilson? David Rice, thank you for the twenty.
<v Speaker 1>This is one of my biggest gripes with ae W.
<v Speaker 1>Lena Cross has a great look. Why would you just
<v Speaker 1>have her run in with a large amount of the
<v Speaker 1>audience not knowing who she is, run some venettes on
<v Speaker 1>her first in this case, see I don't, I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I disagree, I disagree in this case, not every single
<v Speaker 1>person who debuts is going to have vignettes. There have
<v Speaker 1>been debuts over the years. I'll use I'll use one
<v Speaker 1>of the best examples I can give you brock Lesner.
<v Speaker 1>When brock Lesner showed up in two thousand and two.
<v Speaker 1>He showed up and he destroyed the people that he
<v Speaker 1>was in the ring with, to the point where I, like,
<v Speaker 1>I still remember that angle today, I still remember him.
<v Speaker 1>He gave Maven what is to this day one of
<v Speaker 1>the cleanest f fives that I have ever seen him give,
<v Speaker 1>and then the triple power bomb to Spike Dudley, which
<v Speaker 1>would have kept going, but Spike told him, like that's it,
<v Speaker 1>I can't take anymore. Why he was destroying this poor bastard,
<v Speaker 1>and like that's his first night in. They didn't run
<v Speaker 1>vignettes for him. Rock is coming, like there was nothing.
<v Speaker 1>He just showed up. Nobody knew who the fuck this
<v Speaker 1>guy was, but they took one look at him and
<v Speaker 1>they're like, holy shit, this guy looks like a freak.
<v Speaker 1>It looks like a mutant. And that's okay because sometimes
<v Speaker 1>you don't need to run weeks of vignette. So generally, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's what you should do, but you don't do that
<v Speaker 1>for everybody because that's boring. Then every debut is the
<v Speaker 1>same lean across. They were obviously saving her because they
<v Speaker 1>were in Australia and they figured that the people would
<v Speaker 1>know her. Now again, I read one thing that said
<v Speaker 1>that she got this great, amazing response. Didn't come across
<v Speaker 1>that way on TV. It came across like these people
<v Speaker 1>didn't know who the fuck she was. So I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what to make of that. I mean, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why they would have edited out a positive response
<v Speaker 1>just because what she's a heel? I mean, so what,
<v Speaker 1>But in this case, that's exactly why Tony did it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure you know she's from Australia. They wanted it
<v Speaker 1>to be a surprise and so we'll debut her in Australia.
<v Speaker 1>I don't blame them for not running vignettes for her.
<v Speaker 1>I do think it's something that they should, you know,
<v Speaker 1>generally do more of when it comes to debuting these
<v Speaker 1>people and giving the audience rite a sense of who
<v Speaker 1>they are, where they're from, why they're important. A lot
<v Speaker 1>of times, you know, especially in aw Tony will just
<v Speaker 1>assume that the audience knows who they are, or they'll
<v Speaker 1>just go to Google and they'll google in and look
<v Speaker 1>up who the person is, and he's content with that,
<v Speaker 1>And that isn't always the smartest way to go about
<v Speaker 1>doing it. I think that's kind of stupid sometimes, But
<v Speaker 1>in this case, I disagree. I think the way they
<v Speaker 1>did it, as far as saving it as a surprise
<v Speaker 1>for Australia is fine. Now, the execution of it was
<v Speaker 1>not great. I would not have executed it exactly the way,
<v Speaker 1>especially just having her go out there after they already
<v Speaker 1>I just think that's just incredibly stupid. Instead of having
<v Speaker 1>her help them win the titles, we'll send her out
<v Speaker 1>there after they've already lost the match. A good job
<v Speaker 1>on that, Randy says, Buy sell or rent for five
<v Speaker 1>title reigns of Doom, Triple h jbl Or Jeff Jarrett, Well,
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't watching TNA as closely as I was WWE,
<v Speaker 1>so I probably would just have Jarrett ranked last. Triple
<v Speaker 1>h is by far the worst. I'm sorry, the Reign
<v Speaker 1>of Terror was just fucking awful. JBL I'll put in
<v Speaker 1>the middle, and then Jarrett, I'll put last. Randy says,
<v Speaker 1>I know you can't give any spoilers, but any chance
<v Speaker 1>that h Og might make it appearance in Maryland, there's
<v Speaker 1>always a chance. That's all I can really say. There's
<v Speaker 1>always a chance. Is it something that's imminent, No, but
<v Speaker 1>is there a chance? Yes, Ishmael, I'll be at the
<v Speaker 1>Sacramento show this upcoming Wednesday. Damn I do missing Matt
<v Speaker 1>Sidell on TV. And you got to try the new
<v Speaker 1>Red Bull flavor Cherry Soakura is amazing. Brother. The last
<v Speaker 1>time I had an energy drink, I was tweaking. I
<v Speaker 1>don't do well with them. I think I think I
<v Speaker 1>had a monster. Actually I think I had I didn't
<v Speaker 1>even have an entire monster. I think I had half.
<v Speaker 1>But it was one of those big cans. But I
<v Speaker 1>had half. I had half of a Monster energy drink
<v Speaker 1>at the office, and uh yeah, that was not That
<v Speaker 1>was not good. That was not good. So I avoid
<v Speaker 1>all that. I don't do any of the energy drink stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I don't drink caffeine. I'm not a coffee guy. I
<v Speaker 1>just you know, I don't do any of that stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And street Fighter Techla's promo tonight gave me major Heath
<v Speaker 1>Ledger joker vibes. She is a loose cannon and I
<v Speaker 1>love it. Yeah, Techla's a little psycho. They did have
<v Speaker 1>a vignette coming off the women's title match from Wednesday,
<v Speaker 1>but stat Lander cut a promo in the back all bloody,
<v Speaker 1>you know, she's still coming after the world title. And
<v Speaker 1>then Tekla was back there with her leather strap and
<v Speaker 1>her belt and she was just she was a crazy woman.
<v Speaker 1>I know in a way she almost gives off, not
<v Speaker 1>in terms of the voice, but there are aspects of
<v Speaker 1>her that remind me of Luna Vashan, like in a
<v Speaker 1>good way, because Luna was awesome, and I think Luna
<v Speaker 1>is very underrated and does not get the credit that
<v Speaker 1>she deserves. But yeah, she's got some Lunabashon vibes going on.
<v Speaker 1>There are we are five hundred and thirty. Lie man,
<v Speaker 1>how the hell do we do that? That came out
<v Speaker 1>of nowhere? You guys must really want to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit. Well, if you wanted that bad and let's
<v Speaker 1>get to it. Ladies and gentlemen. It is now time
<v Speaker 1>to be five hundred and thirty likes, my goodness asking
<v Speaker 1>you shall receive all right? Oh look everybody, it's Turbo
<v Speaker 1>Floyd and uh oh god, who's the other guy? His
<v Speaker 1>name has popped out of my head? Oh man, anyway,
<v Speaker 1>it's the Outrunners. Can't believe the Outrunners never did get
<v Speaker 1>even briefly that tag team title run. What a what
<v Speaker 1>a missed opportunity that was because we're off the peak
<v Speaker 1>now right. They passed the peak. The peak is over
<v Speaker 1>and they never did get that run? A dark one.
<v Speaker 1>What's going on? Channel member for three months? Appreciate the
<v Speaker 1>stream tonight, any chance that hog comes to Los Angeles
<v Speaker 1>and congrats on the new podcast. Thank you? Yes, well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean obviously, we had our Los Angeles debut in
<v Speaker 1>January a few weeks ago, and I was not able
<v Speaker 1>to be there, but it was a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>show and the match between Andrede and Amazing red was excellent.
<v Speaker 1>We are coming back to Los Angeles. The announcement is
<v Speaker 1>coming any week now, any week now. I know the dates.
<v Speaker 1>I cannot share the dates, but you will not have
<v Speaker 1>to wait much longer. We are going to be coming
<v Speaker 1>back to LA and I am. I am planning on
<v Speaker 1>being there this time. So for all the people I
<v Speaker 1>missed in Los Angeles last time, hopefully we'll get a
<v Speaker 1>chance to meet up. And it's gonna be a good show.
<v Speaker 1>We're going back to the Globe, the Globe Theater anyway, Outrunners,
<v Speaker 1>I almost forgot where I was here. The Outrunners are
<v Speaker 1>going to be taking on Top Flight. That sounds like
<v Speaker 1>a collision match to me, A very appropriate night to
<v Speaker 1>be booking this match. That is a collision match through
<v Speaker 1>and through. Here we go women's match. We have someone
<v Speaker 1>that you will not be seeing on Collision or Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>or any other show. Doctor Britt Baker, DMD. Look at this,
<v Speaker 1>I booked her before Tony Cohn did. The former aw
<v Speaker 1>Women's World Champion, Doctor Britt Baker taking on Bianca bel Air.
<v Speaker 1>So said, we're heading into WrestleMania. It is going to
<v Speaker 1>be a year and Bianca Belair is still not back
<v Speaker 1>coming off of what I thought was the match of
<v Speaker 1>the year, my personal match of the year in twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty five. She left on a high note. I'll say that,
<v Speaker 1>but still know Bianca Belair. It's terrible and in the
<v Speaker 1>main event. Yeah, you know, what's a good point, suplexus,
<v Speaker 1>He says, both haven't been seen for about ten months.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like BRIT's been out longer than that though, Right,
<v Speaker 1>did Britt make any appearances in twenty twenty five? I
<v Speaker 1>think the last time we saw her was probably the
<v Speaker 1>fall of twenty twenty four. Alright, our main event now,
<v Speaker 1>Kurt Angle one of the goats. This man, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you talk about the perfect pro wrestler, this man just
<v Speaker 1>got it. He just got it, you know what I mean?
<v Speaker 1>Like he took to it like a duck to water.
<v Speaker 1>Kurd Angle. He can be in my promotion anytime. What
<v Speaker 1>a fall it was? Yes, fall was the last time
<v Speaker 1>I believe we saw Brett Baker. It was indeed a fall.
<v Speaker 1>Kurt Angle against Ray Phoenix. Oh you hear that? That
<v Speaker 1>means we just had a clean sweep. Look at that
<v Speaker 1>kurd Angle and Ray Phoenix. You know, as fun as
<v Speaker 1>kurd Angle and Ray Mysterio was at Summer slimon O two.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine a kurd Angle prime curd Angle against Ray Phoenix match.
<v Speaker 1>I'm fucking great with that. Holy shit, that is the
<v Speaker 1>opening match on my pay per view. You give those guys,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, twelve minutes, maybe fifteen, that match would
<v Speaker 1>be something else. Let me tell you, I love it.
<v Speaker 1>We picked some good ones tonight. It's a good recovery
<v Speaker 1>from last night. Keep that momentum going. Next time I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna be Live with you will be Monday night. That'll
<v Speaker 1>be for the Raw post show. As we are on
<v Speaker 1>the road to the Elimination Chamber. We've got more qualifiers
<v Speaker 1>coming up on Monday Night. We got a lot of
<v Speaker 1>stuff to talk about on the podcast tomorrow, not just
<v Speaker 1>the Grand Slam fallout now where we go from here,
<v Speaker 1>but just a bunch of other things to get into
<v Speaker 1>from AW and from WWE, maybe a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>New Japan. So that'll be episode nine fifty one. It'll
<v Speaker 1>be dropping sometime a mid afternoon tomorrow, so definitely tune
<v Speaker 1>in for that. It's a big week coming up because
<v Speaker 1>not only is the sound off tomorrow, we got Raw
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night. Tuesday. Tuesday evening will be episode two of
<v Speaker 1>The Uncrowned Wrestling Show, which of course is part of
<v Speaker 1>Yahoo Sports, and on the Ariel Hellwanie Show Feed. Big
<v Speaker 1>shout out to Ariel. He has been hanging out in
<v Speaker 1>is it Lavonia, Lavignya? I think it's Lavignya, Italy covering
<v Speaker 1>the Winter Olympics for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He's been
<v Speaker 1>over in Italy, freezing his ass off, having the time
<v Speaker 1>of his life. And we've kicked off this new wrestling show.
<v Speaker 1>The reception to it so far has been incredible, so
<v Speaker 1>I thank you for that. And episode two will be
<v Speaker 1>dropping on Tuesday, and then of course we got Tuesday
<v Speaker 1>Titans that night and Dynamite on Wednesday with Kenny Omegan,
<v Speaker 1>swer of Strickland and man No SmackDown review. I will
<v Speaker 1>be at the House of Glory show. We have a big,
<v Speaker 1>big show coming up on Friday, Andrede is gonna be
<v Speaker 1>there actually challenging for the HROG World title against Charles Mason,
<v Speaker 1>and MJF will be there. Now we know he will
<v Speaker 1>be walking in as the aw World Champion, which means
<v Speaker 1>we can make an announcement this week as far as
<v Speaker 1>what his match is going to be. So that'll be
<v Speaker 1>Friday night. Hopefully I get to see some of you there. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Somebody asked me in the chat about the Observer Awards.
<v Speaker 1>I am gonna run through I'm not every single there's
<v Speaker 1>so many categories, but I'll run through the key categories.
<v Speaker 1>Chime in on the Observer Awards and Dave's big faux
<v Speaker 1>pas this week as well. That'll be the top story.
<v Speaker 1>We got a lot to cover tomorrow anyway. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>guys for hanging out with me here on a Saturday night.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't know what to expect here, but we had
<v Speaker 1>a pretty good audience here, pretty good feedback. I appreciate it.
<v Speaker 1>I need an assist. Call Keana. Is she not busy
<v Speaker 1>with Julia? I could use her help actually. Anyway, Be well,
<v Speaker 1>stay safe, have yourselves a great rest of your night,
<v Speaker 1>and keep an eye out for the sound off. Make
<v Speaker 1>sure you're subscribed on the feed Sola Monster Sounds Off
