<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katy and Josh one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Well we're back after an exciting weekend.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>It was the big finality finale to a couple of
<v Speaker 2>weeks of build up for the Mixed one hundred Diamond
<v Speaker 2>Dive two point zero and it went down at Dave
<v Speaker 2>and Busters in Westminster on Saturday morning.
<v Speaker 3>And what a turnout, right with?
<v Speaker 1>Katie asked, Yeah, it was so much fun. I was
<v Speaker 1>actually just looking at the pictures on Facebook.
<v Speaker 3>Thank you, sorry. It was so much fun.
<v Speaker 1>And it was just all of our friends and all
<v Speaker 1>of the listeners who came together to support one big thing.
<v Speaker 1>And yeah, I always like when we get together with
<v Speaker 1>like minded people.
<v Speaker 3>Like that, so it was very nice.
<v Speaker 1>It was good to see him dive into that cake
<v Speaker 1>and just do work.
<v Speaker 3>It's the best lady. And they went all out diving
<v Speaker 3>into that thing, didn't They truly brought the game. They
<v Speaker 3>were on top of each other.
<v Speaker 1>They're like there was at one point someone pulled someone
<v Speaker 1>else off another lady and then Cake went flying into
<v Speaker 1>the chair street.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I had to like at one point, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I was man in the mic doing a little play
<v Speaker 2>by play, and I finally was like, ladies, stop throwing
<v Speaker 2>the cake. Yeah, because the ring might be in that
<v Speaker 2>chunk they were throwing around, So yeah, they stopped. But Cheryl,
<v Speaker 2>Sweet Cheryl Hooper Dovevan and got the ring. Yeah, what
<v Speaker 2>a nice lady. We're gonna try to get her on
<v Speaker 2>the phone at eight o'clock today just to talk about
<v Speaker 2>the experience and how she's feeling.
<v Speaker 3>Like she had tears of joy. She sure did, literally
<v Speaker 3>crying at the event.
<v Speaker 1>Well, and I just want to say, like she was
<v Speaker 1>one of the first people there. She got qualified early on.
<v Speaker 1>She had a costume, she had a shirt that said
<v Speaker 1>something about, you know, her ex husband took her first
<v Speaker 1>ring so if she needed to find another on or something.
<v Speaker 1>And I just loved her whole story, Like she is
<v Speaker 1>a kindergarten teacher, and she had her students strategize on
<v Speaker 1>how she was gonna win these things.
<v Speaker 3>Oh there's some smart kindergarteners, you know.
<v Speaker 1>So it just her whole story was so heartwarming, and
<v Speaker 1>she was very excited. Again, one of the first people
<v Speaker 1>to show up. So she met Josh and I when
<v Speaker 1>we got there at like ten thirty.
<v Speaker 3>And it was just ready to go.
<v Speaker 1>So excited and so but everybody was everyone who came
<v Speaker 1>to the event. We had forty ladies lined up around
<v Speaker 1>that cake, and each and every one of them was
<v Speaker 1>so excited to be a part of it. And that
<v Speaker 1>was the main theme when everybody left was this is
<v Speaker 1>just one of the most exciting things I've ever done
<v Speaker 1>in my life.
<v Speaker 3>I'm just so happy I got to do it.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>It was fun to look around at one point and
<v Speaker 2>even before it started, just seeing everybody smiling. Yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 2>like this was just kind of the highlight of their day,
<v Speaker 2>coming to watch a bunch of ladies dive into a cake.
<v Speaker 2>And then during the event, like if you go back
<v Speaker 2>and watch the video, everyone is just so happy to
<v Speaker 2>be there and just.
<v Speaker 3>To watch this go down.
<v Speaker 1>It was.
<v Speaker 3>It was a joy to be there.
<v Speaker 2>It really was David Buster's very gracious host, because good god,
<v Speaker 2>that place was a mess afterwards.
<v Speaker 3>It was a mess. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Even as much as we try and corral everything into
<v Speaker 1>one little spot in the building, I mean, cake up everywhere,
<v Speaker 1>it really does. I mean I saw frosting in the bathroom,
<v Speaker 1>so there was a.
<v Speaker 3>Well made mistake.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't put the booties on, and man, getting into
<v Speaker 2>my car and then getting home, I looked at the
<v Speaker 2>bottom I wore my areat boots, which was a mistake,
<v Speaker 2>and they're just covered in uh in frosting, So no,
<v Speaker 2>I thought I'd be safe. But somewhere along the lines,
<v Speaker 2>I was stepping in frosting. I was tiptoeing around trying
<v Speaker 2>to avoid everything.
<v Speaker 3>But it got me. It got me good. But so
<v Speaker 3>many great listeners came out.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, so many just fantastic people I met just at
<v Speaker 2>David Buster's just hanging out who were very gracious and
<v Speaker 2>they're like, well, you got to listen to your show now,
<v Speaker 2>this is really fun.
<v Speaker 3>It was a blast.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Even Safeway Rice Bakery. That cake it looked so
<v Speaker 1>neat to see that cake in the middle of that
<v Speaker 1>big room, just all frosted up, and I got to
<v Speaker 1>take a big old doll up of that frosting.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it was good. It was tast was really good.
<v Speaker 1>I told them, I was like, you didn't just you know,
<v Speaker 1>bring lard to frost that you knew people were going
<v Speaker 1>to roll in it.
<v Speaker 3>You brought actually, like, this tastes good. And the cake
<v Speaker 3>was from Safeway, so there's this giant s on it.
<v Speaker 3>You know. How many people came up to me like
<v Speaker 3>what's the as for Yeah, eventually.
<v Speaker 2>I told him, but in true chair bear fans fashion,
<v Speaker 2>I was like, salmon, there's actually we hit some.
<v Speaker 3>Salmon inside of it.
<v Speaker 2>And then I was like, spatula, you got to dive
<v Speaker 2>into dispatch, that's what you're looking for.
<v Speaker 3>They look at me like, why am I watching? Why
<v Speaker 3>am I?
<v Speaker 2>Also a big old thank you to Rocky Mountain Custom
<v Speaker 2>Jewelry out here in Centennial. Nick and Matt, the the
<v Speaker 2>owners there of that jewelry store, came through again with
<v Speaker 2>a beautiful ring that was a beautiful rock.
<v Speaker 1>My jaw dropped when I saw that ring, like, I,
<v Speaker 1>it's so just sparkly and beautiful. I mean a five
<v Speaker 1>thousand dollars ring.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, fat rock or even Nick Knack was like, oh yeah,
<v Speaker 2>can I.
<v Speaker 3>Participate in nextears?
<v Speaker 1>It shined up in pretty on the finger.
<v Speaker 3>It was like, oh gosh.
<v Speaker 2>It was because we slid it on Cheryl's finger and
<v Speaker 2>you know, she was covered in cake. And then Nick
<v Speaker 2>came over from the Rocky Mountain Customs jury and he
<v Speaker 2>slid it off her finger and he put it in
<v Speaker 2>his mouth and we're like no, no, He's like, don't
<v Speaker 2>worry about I'm gonna.
<v Speaker 3>Clean it up. I was.
<v Speaker 1>Still in the mouth though.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, if you want to see all the pictures
<v Speaker 2>and a ton of video, truly a ton of pictures too.
<v Speaker 2>There's a lot of content from our event on this
<v Speaker 2>past Saturday, hop.
<v Speaker 3>Onto the socials.
<v Speaker 2>We posted a buttload of him over the weekend, Jeremy,
<v Speaker 2>Katie Josh on Facebook and Instagram and of course mixed
<v Speaker 2>one hundred Denver on Facebook and Instagram and you can
<v Speaker 2>see how it.
<v Speaker 3>All went down.
<v Speaker 2>And again we'll get Cheryl on the phone with us
<v Speaker 2>at eight o'clock today and talk about her experience and
<v Speaker 2>if she stopped looking at that ring all weekend, I'm sure.
<v Speaker 1>All weekend was just a blur for her like that
<v Speaker 1>happened on Saturday, I'm sure she's still just riding on
<v Speaker 1>a high yep.
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, so congratulations to Cheryl. Coming off the weekend of
<v Speaker 3>of oush Mooby Doopy Doopy.
<v Speaker 2>We went from the Diamond Dive out for date night
<v Speaker 2>for Valentine's Day. I had been planning a nice little
<v Speaker 2>outing for me and the missus sweet nick Knack for
<v Speaker 2>a couple of weeks.
<v Speaker 3>Made reservations down at the Lake House down by us.
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely adore that restaurant right there on the Lake at
<v Speaker 2>Clement Park had the filet white tasty.
<v Speaker 3>Nick Knack had some sort of sandwich and cheese curds.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, cheese curds, right, I guess man.
<v Speaker 3>We felt like we were out in Wisconsin again. Really
<v Speaker 3>good cheese curds. Highly recommend.
<v Speaker 2>And then while at dinner, she looked down at my
<v Speaker 2>wrist and she said, what the hell do you have
<v Speaker 2>on your wrist? And I proceeded to pull my white
<v Speaker 2>dress shirt back and present to her my new Cassio
<v Speaker 2>watch I had picked up on Amazon for twenty seven dollars.
<v Speaker 3>Cassio.
<v Speaker 2>Really, it's a Cassio, the unisex digital watch that is
<v Speaker 2>very vintage, very big. Back in the eighties, it was
<v Speaker 2>a Cassio, Katie. Can you want to take a look
<v Speaker 2>at it?
<v Speaker 1>Kinda let me turn my screen around in the accent?
<v Speaker 3>What in the actual Cassio is that? I don't think
<v Speaker 3>my dad had that same every dad, every single dad.
<v Speaker 3>I don't. Here's a way throwback, but.
<v Speaker 2>Remembering planes, trains and automobiles when they were trying to
<v Speaker 2>get home and everything, and they're trying to sell everything
<v Speaker 2>in John Candy's like, and I have this Cassio and it's.
<v Speaker 3>The Casio watch. It's all digital.
<v Speaker 2>It's got that when you hit the buttons on the site. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and in the dark, you gotta hit the little button
<v Speaker 2>on the side and it lights so multiple times throughout
<v Speaker 2>the evening.
<v Speaker 3>I was like, you know what, I wonder what time
<v Speaker 3>it is?
<v Speaker 2>Hold on, let me check my cassio and I'd light
<v Speaker 2>it up even in the car.
<v Speaker 3>I was like, you see that it lights up at night.
<v Speaker 3>But it was just one of those impulse purchases.
<v Speaker 2>That I was like, I gotta have one of these,
<v Speaker 2>because yes, Katie, you are spot on that every dad had.
<v Speaker 1>One of these shit, Like I remember him putting it
<v Speaker 1>on the bedstand, putting it on every morning, like doing
<v Speaker 1>the light trick to us as well, what time is it?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't want to brag, but this sing's water
<v Speaker 2>resistant as well.
<v Speaker 3>Of course it is. It's pretty solid purchase.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, Yeah, we were all dressed up looking real
<v Speaker 2>fancy because we're going down to the Symphony and put
<v Speaker 2>my cassio on. So I'll wear it to work. At
<v Speaker 2>some point I'll let you touch it and take a
<v Speaker 2>look at it.
<v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, of course it's so cool.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, so we went from the lake House right
<v Speaker 2>downtown and a big old thank you to the fine
<v Speaker 2>folks at the Colorado Symphony for putting on a great show.
<v Speaker 2>I haven't been down to the Symphony at the Betcher
<v Speaker 2>Concert Hall in probably twenty years.
<v Speaker 3>Wow, I mean it has been a minute.
<v Speaker 2>So I was kind of looking for something fun and
<v Speaker 2>unique to do with Nick Knack.
<v Speaker 3>So we went and did that. And it's funny.
<v Speaker 2>You know, right when we got in the front doors,
<v Speaker 2>it's just like a total mingles. You know, everyone's hanging
<v Speaker 2>out and they've got multiple bars and everybody's talking about
<v Speaker 2>music Cotail Tail hour before you go listen to beautiful music.
<v Speaker 2>And we go walking up and there's this guy standing
<v Speaker 2>there that works there in a full suit.
<v Speaker 3>He's got a little name tag on it says Bob.
<v Speaker 2>Bob's there handing out flyers. He's like, hey, Bob, you're
<v Speaker 2>Jeremy from Mixed, aren't you. I was like, yeah, yeah, Bob,
<v Speaker 2>I go I he was wondering you had that look
<v Speaker 2>in your eye that you kind of knew me.
<v Speaker 3>He's like, oh yeah.
<v Speaker 2>He's like, I'm a big listener. And in the middle
<v Speaker 2>of this fancy event.
<v Speaker 3>Everybody's dressed up. He goes I love that segment you
<v Speaker 3>did the other day really loud. He's saying this where your.
<v Speaker 2>Wife called in and busted you about farting in your sleep.
<v Speaker 3>Bob, we'ren't a nice plane relax.
<v Speaker 1>Stop.
<v Speaker 3>So we got a good laugh about that.
<v Speaker 2>Nicol's like, she's like, yeah, okay, So we got to
<v Speaker 2>meet Nick Knack and everything. But then we made our
<v Speaker 2>way into the actual auditorium there and listen to this band.
<v Speaker 2>Do I want to say their name because i I
<v Speaker 2>got something to say about this band. I'm gonna wait,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not gonna say who the band was, but okay,
<v Speaker 2>so they got the Colorado Symphony. The orchestra is there, okay,
<v Speaker 2>and then they're paired with this band that travels around Okay,
<v Speaker 2>so they're like the backing to this band, and the
<v Speaker 2>lead singer for the band is beautiful woman okay, six
<v Speaker 2>foot tall, blondish hair, you know, and incredibly revealing plunging
<v Speaker 2>V suit jacket and that's it. Nothing else underneath it,
<v Speaker 2>Oh through the entire thing, and busty a f Okay.
<v Speaker 3>So she's singing and doing samba and.
<v Speaker 2>Dan and the entire time I'm looking at her. Brestos's okay,
<v Speaker 2>like the entire time, and so is Nick Knack, and
<v Speaker 2>so is every man in that place.
<v Speaker 3>They had the intermission.
<v Speaker 2>And we could hear the guys behind us like, I'm
<v Speaker 2>having a hard time concentrating on the music. I can't,
<v Speaker 2>I can't focus on anything like you. She at one
<v Speaker 2>point looked at me. She's like, I want to take
<v Speaker 2>my phone and zoom in. She's like, and see what
<v Speaker 2>we're because we were up kind of high. And she's like,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't want the people behind me to like
<v Speaker 2>notice that I'm doing that. She's like, because I'm infatuated
<v Speaker 2>with her breastlesses. Right, So after intermission, this lady comes
<v Speaker 2>out in a change of wardrobe, a slinky little dress
<v Speaker 2>and we're talking like bikini straps just covering, you.
<v Speaker 3>Know, just enough and even more revealing. And I'm like,
<v Speaker 3>oh my god, what is happening too? Am I allowed
<v Speaker 3>to look at my allowed to look at all?
<v Speaker 1>Well? If your wife is looking at I think was
<v Speaker 1>the hall past tag team.
<v Speaker 2>So the funny thing is is, I mean, let's be real,
<v Speaker 2>the symphony more.
<v Speaker 3>Of an older crowd, more of an older crowd, gentlemen.
<v Speaker 2>There was some there's some younger people, but generally up
<v Speaker 2>front was a lot of older men, and she kept
<v Speaker 2>doing the shimmy shimmy where she would get down and like.
<v Speaker 3>Lean in and like singing to the people in the
<v Speaker 3>front row.
<v Speaker 2>And at one point I leaned over to Nicole and
<v Speaker 2>I was like, we're gonna have an old.
<v Speaker 3>Guy die tonight. There's gonna be a dead man, and
<v Speaker 3>they're gonna be like good.
<v Speaker 1>He guaranteed nobody was napping burying the Symphony on Saturday.
<v Speaker 3>Night in their face. These old guys are loving it.
<v Speaker 3>I mean they're loving it up front. Or we're gonna
<v Speaker 3>have a man die tonight.
<v Speaker 2>So needless to say, we're gonna go back to the
<v Speaker 2>Symphony quite a bit front row.
<v Speaker 3>Huge fan. We're doing the upgrade for Suresey
