<v Speaker 1>Jared, Katy and Josh one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Right, Katie.
<v Speaker 1>I gotta know, I was perusing the socials this morning
<v Speaker 1>and I saw the picture of you and some sort
<v Speaker 1>of rock in the background.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and you were like, where's Katie? That's fine, right, you.
<v Speaker 1>Know, I've lived here my entire life, and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>staring at it. I'm staring at it. I'm staring at
<v Speaker 1>I was like, where is Katie?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Was that target? It was not target. No, that's the
<v Speaker 2>rock ball. That's different. No.
<v Speaker 3>I thought that'd be a fun new feature, figure out
<v Speaker 3>where I am in the state of beautiful Colorado. But
<v Speaker 3>I thought that was a pretty easy one, and I
<v Speaker 3>was shocked at how many people didn't get it.
<v Speaker 2>Springs, were you Garden of the Gods?
<v Speaker 3>I know, I was just south though I was definitely south.
<v Speaker 3>I'll tell you what. It took me twenty two minutes
<v Speaker 3>to get there from my house down in Loan Chop.
<v Speaker 2>Oh. So it's not far, no outlets, not the closes.
<v Speaker 2>We're in the rock, close in the rock, the rock.
<v Speaker 2>Where are we at? Come to the rock for the
<v Speaker 2>rock bottom Castle Rock. I was at the rock.
<v Speaker 3>I was at Castle Rock.
<v Speaker 2>So I was right there. But that wasn't the rock. Well, No,
<v Speaker 2>that was cast I have never hiked up there. It
<v Speaker 2>is so fun. Were posing like crazy up there? No, okay,
<v Speaker 2>And I.
<v Speaker 3>Was actually shocked that it wasn't busier because it was
<v Speaker 3>President's Day and a lot of people had the day off.
<v Speaker 3>But what I like about that hike is you could
<v Speaker 3>be around a bend and feel like you're totally in
<v Speaker 3>the mountains. Like the first time I hiked that, I
<v Speaker 3>felt like I was going to get lost, and then
<v Speaker 3>I didn't realize.
<v Speaker 2>You can pretty much see the parking lot from where.
<v Speaker 3>You high after you're gonna have to drink your pee.
<v Speaker 2>If you can see you can see the store, you.
<v Speaker 3>Can see everything. But that's the fun thing about it
<v Speaker 3>is like there are turns where you feel like you're
<v Speaker 3>in the mountains, you're in the wilderness, and then you
<v Speaker 3>come around the corner and there's I twenty five.
<v Speaker 2>And then you round it.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah so uh but yeah, I took a picture and
<v Speaker 3>it's right there at the top. So you hike all
<v Speaker 3>the way up and you're at the base of Castle Rock.
<v Speaker 3>Now there are signs everywhere that tell you not to
<v Speaker 3>climb up on the action.
<v Speaker 2>That was my next question, I want to get up top.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and you're not supposed to do. And there's signs
<v Speaker 3>everywhere that tell you. I mean, it's not just that
<v Speaker 3>you could fall and die, it's that you will loosen
<v Speaker 3>the rock, and that is then makes it harder for
<v Speaker 3>other people, Like you're gonna ruin it for everybody, kind
<v Speaker 3>of thing if you climb up and down that.
<v Speaker 2>But people do it all the time. I see people
<v Speaker 2>do it all the time.
<v Speaker 1>You go up there and you're leaning against that rock
<v Speaker 1>and climbing on it a little bit, you Katie, next thing,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you feel a shift.
<v Speaker 3>Rolling down thousands of years peaked on all Katie brings
<v Speaker 3>down Castle Rock. But the show get back up there
<v Speaker 3>and do something like please shimmy, shimmy. But no, it's
<v Speaker 3>like one point three miles up and down. I mean
<v Speaker 3>it's like four hundred feet elevation, so you definitely get
<v Speaker 3>a little work on the calves and the glutes and whatnot.
<v Speaker 3>But it's a nice little hike. It takes you like
<v Speaker 3>for fifty minutes to go up and down and it
<v Speaker 3>kid friendly. But again, you're climbing over rocks at point,
<v Speaker 3>so you feel you still feel like you're on a hike, you're.
<v Speaker 1>Getting a workout, especially your buns are going to be
<v Speaker 1>sore the next Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>But it is one of the easier hikes that I
<v Speaker 3>go on, and I figure, you know, it's like forty
<v Speaker 3>five minutes from the city. That's a good hike for
<v Speaker 3>people to get in in a day. It's a day
<v Speaker 3>hike for you if you and they're great. So many
<v Speaker 3>places in Castle Rock for you to spend the day too,
<v Speaker 3>Like you go do Castle Rock hard Park Breweries, there's
<v Speaker 3>outlets that you can go have fun at.
<v Speaker 1>So you like going to that is it's like that
<v Speaker 1>barn place or something. It's like a couple of big
<v Speaker 1>antique stores next to each.
<v Speaker 3>Other, act me something.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, they're Yeah, they're side by side.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, that's right by Castle Rock Park. Yes, So it's
<v Speaker 2>fun to go through those.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you can't afford anything in there, but it's
<v Speaker 1>fun to wonder to peruse.
<v Speaker 2>They stow the star up on top of the rockland
<v Speaker 2>and the why don't they take that down? Why would they?
<v Speaker 2>Because it looks junky.
<v Speaker 1>Did you think to me when I drive by, it's
<v Speaker 1>like you got this beautiful piece of nature this year,
<v Speaker 1>beautiful rock sitting up there and then you get all
<v Speaker 1>this mishmash sitting on top.
<v Speaker 2>Then it's just good. They don't like the start up
<v Speaker 2>at night? Do they for Christmas?
<v Speaker 1>No?
<v Speaker 2>They light it up every night? Yeah? Is it every night?
<v Speaker 2>Every single night? No? I like it Christmas lights. They
<v Speaker 2>look bad in the daytime junk And it's.
<v Speaker 3>Fun like when you're like again walking around the because
<v Speaker 3>you go all the way around the structure multiple times
<v Speaker 3>and you can see that flag and star from different
<v Speaker 3>vantage points and it's really neat. Like I got a
<v Speaker 3>whole video that I'm going to put together about Castle
<v Speaker 3>Rock and Rock Park, so I'll get that on the
<v Speaker 3>socials as well.
<v Speaker 1>But we wanted to go hiking yesterday. That was one
<v Speaker 1>of the things that the kids wanted to do, and
<v Speaker 1>Nick Knack and I had a little quick conversation about
<v Speaker 1>like do we want to do this because it's been
<v Speaker 1>so warm out and there's been so many mountain lion
<v Speaker 1>spottings down by us. Yes, so we're like, do we
<v Speaker 1>really want to go into like a backwoods trail right
<v Speaker 1>now and there's been so.
<v Speaker 2>Many mountain lion sightings. Yeah, so we didn't.
<v Speaker 3>You know what's funny is I was too between Rocksboro
<v Speaker 3>Park and Castle Rock Park, and it was like.
<v Speaker 2>Rocks probably safer.
<v Speaker 3>Rock parks a little more, especially me hiking by myself,
<v Speaker 3>because that's you talk about those mountain lions, you'd probably
<v Speaker 3>be okay, you knick knack and the kids. I want
<v Speaker 3>to keep them close to you, don't know, the thing
<v Speaker 3>for the small one exactly, don't let them.
<v Speaker 2>We might go out as a four pack, come back
<v Speaker 2>as a three pack.
<v Speaker 3>Is this thing careful? But they hid up in the tree.
<v Speaker 3>That will ruin your whole hike.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I was saying.
<v Speaker 3>All you're doing is looking up and we can see
<v Speaker 3>them first. There's no way you're going to see them first.
<v Speaker 3>By the they will see you long before you know
<v Speaker 3>they're there.
<v Speaker 2>But he just pounce on you right down from the trees.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. I'm scared too, a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not gonna lie. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, I don't want to do that for
<v Speaker 1>the entire walk, be stressed out, you know, and what's
<v Speaker 1>sneaking up behind me?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know unless it's Sydney Sweeney. I don't. I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to be on the trail doing that, pouncing
<v Speaker 2>on you exactly.
<v Speaker 1>So we ended up going to Clement Park over by me,
<v Speaker 1>where there's a Starbucks and a.
<v Speaker 2>Barn and Noble. Just you gotta worry about there is
<v Speaker 2>getting a paper cup.
