[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not gonna, I'm very conscious because we go all over this fine country and the world for that matter too, not really complain about my weather situation and I think Rob, you can relate now being in South Florida when I wake up.

[SPEAKER_04]: I literally put on a hoodie today.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the whole eastern seaboard all the way from Florida all the way through.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, it was an absolutely at least where my side of the state was a glorious weekend, but I don't.

[SPEAKER_04]: I hesitate to say that because it will really, this is the time of year.

[SPEAKER_04]: And the reason why people that are in their 80s come down here because

[SPEAKER_05]: uh... this is the time of year where the it is the greatest disparity usually yes each of you know the upper tier and the peninsula down here that's when it's uh... it's a big difference so people i i had lots of uh people send me messages about well it's no one outside but baseball's on the TV it doesn't make sense and i just respond to everyone you live up north that happens every year

[SPEAKER_21]: Whenever we were assigned snacks, I brought steak tartar.

[SPEAKER_04]: Boy, I will cop to being a self-loathing liberal and and part of me with both the men and the women defeating Canada.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there was just a little bit of a pang of.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, not, oh, with the way our president is treated, Canada, our beautiful blessed neighbors to the north, there was part of me that felt bad for Canada.

[SPEAKER_04]: They're part of North America.

[SPEAKER_04]: I like Canadian.

[SPEAKER_21]: Out of context, clues, I'm going to guess that we won.

[SPEAKER_21]: We can't the men and the women beat Canada for the gold medal, both gold medal matches were the USA and Canada and I see this over time over time wins and a lot of people are going to think this is great for the USA, but I don't and I'll tell you why because this is going to cause unrest up north and this will

[SPEAKER_04]: I used to doing the same, they're messing on the boy.

[SPEAKER_04]: This will enhance the attack that you guys are doing.

[SPEAKER_21]: Yes, because now this will be great for getting up morale for all those communities.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's just, we're Josh, he's been saying there's going to be attack from fact, Josh, 99% of all Canadians live within 14 feet of the border.

[SPEAKER_21]: That doesn't think that's an accident.

[SPEAKER_21]: He thinks it's because of you.

[SPEAKER_04]: We can kind of throw everything out that is so horrible and for a moment we can focus on that.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that Josh and I will probably talk a little about spring training baseball.

[SPEAKER_04]: I have found that there is a much different vibe.

[SPEAKER_04]: at spring training, then there was even a year ago that it is truly, I feel like baseball has a bit of a resurgence.

[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe that's because we, I'm seeing larger crowds.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, big time.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, big time huge crowd.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Theo von megapodcasters, they both strike me and you guys might no more about it than I do.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't watch them regularly, but I get the impression that both of these guys, it not averse to having a new experience with some sort of substance.

[SPEAKER_04]: Would that be accurate?

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm pretty sure I get his

[SPEAKER_04]: There's a little druggy druggy in both of those guys and the one time I turned on Rogan he was doing a little smelling salts thing and I was never a smelling salt smelling salts.

[SPEAKER_21]: That's like from the 1930s.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but hold on.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, but it was coming back

[SPEAKER_04]: It's coming back and apparently my thought about smelling salts are from movies, from television, from maybe a boxing match or whatever where you just do this and the guys kind of wake up.

[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't realize that if you do a real intense smelling salt experiment, which I'm not going to do, I've got another experimental item that someone shipped me and I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but it's a fermented tofu.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I know what I would do with that.

[SPEAKER_21]: I would send it right to camp.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that sounds like he's known salt.

[SPEAKER_04]: Did you see him with the smelling salt?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, fantastic segment when he was doing that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, occasionally someone gets praise who really deserves it.

[SPEAKER_04]: And Mike Tureko, not only the hardest working sportscaster in the business, but a guy that, uh, I don't know, it's a, it's kind of a tradition with great, great, great play by play guy and sportscasters that,

[SPEAKER_04]: They use an economy of words and I think that Tureko has done that and he did a great job and upheld the tradition of great broadcasters at the Olympics starting with Jim McKay.

[SPEAKER_21]: I was going to say Jim McKay has that beautiful, his whole notion of fewer words the better.

[SPEAKER_21]: Fantastic.

[SPEAKER_04]: And it made me regret that I hadn't

[SPEAKER_04]: Enjoy the Olympics more, although I did enjoy the the men's hockey game because, you know, an overtime hockey when there's nothing quite like it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and I just really just if you if you if he hasn't gotten the credit he deserves yet he's got it now because he really got the thumbs up and want to say salute to a guy that I've had a chance to hang out with a little bit might to

[SPEAKER_21]: I think it's unfair because people are so busy complaining against Chris Collins' worth and the like that they don't spot like the people that are good at their job.

[SPEAKER_21]: And I mean, Collins' worth is insultingly bad.

[SPEAKER_21]: He bothers me.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think what Chris Collins' worth and a lot of the NFL analysts that are on the NFL broadcast are exceedingly verbose.

[SPEAKER_04]: Silence is so powerful in sports, not just with the great moments, but sometimes you just John Madden, I go back again to the analysis where if he was in a game that was a blowout and they'd show a shot of a pigeon on the sidelines, they'd say this telecast isn't interesting.

[SPEAKER_04]: let's let's do something that'll make.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get started and entertain and he'd love doing it.

[SPEAKER_04]: And he realized that this, I think we completely forget about professional sports that it is entertainment first.

[SPEAKER_04]: I would love to see it move from the area of detail.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know so much about each player and each offense and each defense and each batting line up and each statistic.

[SPEAKER_04]: I would love to see it move into the realm of I am an entertainer.

[SPEAKER_04]: and I want to keep this broadcast as entertaining as I can, not forcing the issue, but just really just kind of reacting to what the camera is showing the audience.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_21]: Hearing what you're saying, I'm reminded mostly, I think, of Vince Gulley, because he could carry an entire baseball game.

[SPEAKER_04]: Another play by play guy, not an analyst.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but still a great example.

[SPEAKER_04]: And from his great pedigree, with old broadcasters.

[SPEAKER_21]: And if a game was slow, he could effortlessly launch into his story.

[SPEAKER_21]: I remember one time, he went into like a five minute story about the Beatles getting on and off the field in a patty wagon in that stadium.

[SPEAKER_21]: It was a chase stadium, right?

[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah, or the old chase stadium.

[SPEAKER_21]: And he'd stop just in time to give you the call, but it was a slow game.

[SPEAKER_21]: So he had to do something to pick it up.

[UNKNOWN]: Right.

[SPEAKER_21]: for lack of a word, he would weave the broadcast and it was just so listenable.

[SPEAKER_21]: And sometimes silence is part of that.

[SPEAKER_05]: And they feel like traditionally baseball has done a better job of that because of the way they came here.

[SPEAKER_04]: As far as my own sports are concerned, I had a moment.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you will call it a pity party, uh, where I, I wrote this down that I do, I, I hate my joints.

[SPEAKER_04]: I, I'm basically, it started with my hips.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's a gone.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I was going to tell you, I started with my knees.

[SPEAKER_04]: It probably started with maybe, I mean, I'm essentially checking off each joint that fails.

[SPEAKER_21]: Well, what joints, what joints do you have and which are made of corpses and which are made of metal?

[SPEAKER_04]: The knee, right knee, would be a cadaver ACL that was installed.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, that is my fault.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was a that because the injury was a result of falling on my part.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it was not something where we're in tear.

[SPEAKER_04]: The hips.

[SPEAKER_21]: uh... bone on bone and that was just uh... my genetic make of i've looked at the MRIs i've seen that there's you know that it that it was bone on bone and i'm happy i've been happy since they installed them back to the back to the knee Josh what you don't know is mic at that time was going to what they call a uh... a very special uh... almost concierge style doctor and he was actually allowed to choose the corpse

[SPEAKER_21]: It's very much like going into the palm restaurant and choosing your lobster.

[SPEAKER_21]: And that's why I tried that was the problem.

[SPEAKER_04]: It might not mean anything to you, but I have in my right me.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_04]: I knew him very well, we got to know each other and had a pretty fun relationship.

[SPEAKER_04]: He said, well, I have some good news and some bad news, and I went FU.

[SPEAKER_04]: And he said, just get to the point.

[SPEAKER_04]: The good news is,

[SPEAKER_04]: And he points to the screen and says, this is one of the best MRI pictures I have ever seen and he says the bad news.

[SPEAKER_04]: You see that little curly Q right there and he points to I said, yeah, he said, that's what's left of your eyes.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that was done.

[SPEAKER_04]: Then the back.

[SPEAKER_04]: uh... where it is not fake is it i mean you have nothing put it no no they couldn't he right they wanted i i certainly might have taken advantage of it but they call it degenerative disc disease discs are those soft little pieces of cartilage between your uh... your your spying joints yeah you're fair to bra

[SPEAKER_04]: And, uh, It's great.

[SPEAKER_04]: That, that means there's very little of that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've managed that with a, like, one surgery and some injections and so far.

[SPEAKER_04]: they say that they kind of naturally fuse together when you get really old and I'm getting really old so that's when you want to hear for your back the concierge doctor didn't use why do you keep saying concierge doctor why are you doing what you doing that golden voice stuff to me all right no I'm not saying gold and boy I'm just saying that it gives you more options like I remember one of your options was to put pieces of carpet remnants in between your vertebrae to someone and this is more technology it was no.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I thought it was the carpet when, in fact, it was the stuff between the carpet.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you don't want that.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that's been okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then the needs been okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then the only the knees because of after that surgery, the only area that was holding out was the shoulders.

[SPEAKER_04]: And low and behold, now this one right here.

[SPEAKER_04]: is starting, I guess, to go, and I need to get some help because it affects my number one hobby down here, which is eating ice cream of all.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, but I number one hobby, and I know that it's a complicated joint.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know that it's a Spike Lee joint.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know that it is

[SPEAKER_04]: It's just, I thought maybe one area of my body I could avoid, you know, doing it.

[SPEAKER_04]: And some might say, well, Mike, if you were more physically fit, perhaps you could avoid this.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is it that ship might say?

[SPEAKER_05]: Is it that bone on bone feeling or is it a muscle string?

[SPEAKER_04]: And if I don't, that's the thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like it might be a rotator cuff related.

[SPEAKER_04]: But I don't know enough about it to tell.

[SPEAKER_04]: The bottom line is I am about

[SPEAKER_04]: a minute away from picking up the phone and having to go to a guy and I don't want to go to a guy.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've been trying to get by with watching videos and it's just nothing.

[SPEAKER_04]: Cutting the mustard.

[SPEAKER_21]: If it happens, if it happens, what?

[SPEAKER_21]: If it happens, will shoulder be corpse-related?

[SPEAKER_21]: Will it be hardware-related or will it be injection-related?

[SPEAKER_04]: The US Embassy in Mexico issued a security alert to American citizens on Sunday to shelter in place.

[SPEAKER_04]: until further notice.

[SPEAKER_04]: If they are currently in a Jelisco state, I think it's maybe pronounced Halisco state, which includes Puerto Vallarta, Chapala and Guadalajara, Baja, California, state, also, Tijuana, Ticate, and Encinada, Quintana, Rú state, which is Cancun.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean,

[SPEAKER_04]: This is such a wide swath.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Cosimelplied, Al-Karman, and Taluma, the unrest reportedly linked to a military operation, targeting a powerful drug lord.

[SPEAKER_04]: The Associated Press reported Sunday that the leader of the helisco, new generation cartel, Namesio Asaguera, Servantes, also known as Elmencio, was killed in the operation.

[SPEAKER_04]: this is the biggest guy in the cartels in Mexico.

[SPEAKER_04]: He was killed in the operation.

[SPEAKER_04]: The advisory warned citizens to avoid crowds, seek shelter, and minimize unnecessary movements and monitor local media for updates.

[SPEAKER_04]: Whenever I see this, all I can think of as well, it's revenge time, and maybe it's going to be unstable there for quite some time.

[SPEAKER_21]: All held correctly.

[SPEAKER_21]: What does the L men show mean?

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you see videos of burn buses and people stopping burning cars in the middle of the street.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's very strange.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is different though than previous local stories coming out of Mexico.

[SPEAKER_04]: Usually we feel that feeling of detachment with the horrors that go on in Mexico.

[SPEAKER_04]: Whereas this time when they're mentioning these tourist areas to, you know, shelter in places what you normally hear about a hurricane.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, don't hear that about a guy drug lord that was bumped off.

[SPEAKER_04]: And now it's so unsafe in the streets that people should stay in their hotel rooms.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, very very very very very of American hostages.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, very very scary will keep you posted on that.

[SPEAKER_04]: weather all across the eastern seaboard a blizzard warning in effect for all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island in much of New Jersey and New England, a classic noreaster walloping the area with strong winds and heavy snow.

[SPEAKER_21]: But I did feel creepy when I sat down and the couple next to me was a lady and her son and he was, of course, eating a pretzel of banana and apple sauce because it's a kid show.

[SPEAKER_21]: She was doing a selfie and I said, would you like me to take a picture of the both of you?

[UNKNOWN]: No.

[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah, I would do and then then that make you did it hit home at that moment That was one of it and the other time is they she does something akin to the sharing and showing of Christ peace in the show where you're supposed to fist bump like the person next to you

[SPEAKER_04]: uh... he's abandoned when does it get sad that's funny uh... kids out on their own that's a funny thing as he grows up he uh... he takes work as a why i don't want to call the one project that immediately puts the uh... yeah the comedy

[SPEAKER_04]: he's a tree cutter, you know, he goes out on cruise and works in the woods.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is it a period piece or does he have modern equipment?

[SPEAKER_04]: It's it's skirts the olden days to the industrial.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right up until the 1960s.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's where.

[SPEAKER_04]: So in the olden days, he's got the, you know, the handheld tools and he cuts the sad trees down out with the sad crew out in the sad woods.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he meets her at church and they fall in love.

[SPEAKER_04]: it's happy but he always has to leave again so there's an ass said so there's an asterisk even when he's happy train dreams that's the movie sad woods you know and sad when the old men in the woods occasionally die for a variety of certain

[SPEAKER_04]: Do they leave them in the woods or do they bury them?

[SPEAKER_04]: What do they do?

[SPEAKER_04]: They bury them in at least the one who threw the saddest way.

[SPEAKER_04]: The saddest way was when they, I think cremation would be sadder.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think at one point three guys died because of an accident out in the woods and they buried all three and sad graves in the sad woods that were hit by the sad trees.

[SPEAKER_04]: What was the accident?

[SPEAKER_04]: A tree falling on them?

[SPEAKER_04]: It was sad.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's sad.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
