<v Speaker 1>Well, what's going on, guys. It is another Wednesday night.
<v Speaker 1>This is your AW Dynamite review. It is March eleventh,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six. I'm the solo monster. You know. This
<v Speaker 1>Sunday rare Sunday pay per view AW Revolution in Los Angeles.
<v Speaker 1>Tonight was the final edition of Dynamite's Final Chance to
<v Speaker 1>sell you on Revolution, and I thought it was a
<v Speaker 1>little curious when they were advertising a press conference. That
<v Speaker 1>was the big thing that they were advertising for this show.
<v Speaker 1>So I thought, well, maybe they're gonna do something in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. They're gonna have a podium and chairs set
<v Speaker 1>up in the ring in front of all the fans, Like,
<v Speaker 1>what does that mean, You're gonna have a press conference
<v Speaker 1>on the show. Well, we found out what they meant,
<v Speaker 1>because that's what they closed the show with tonight. MJF
<v Speaker 1>and Hangman Page. They have their Texas Deathmatch coming up
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday for the AW World Championship. But tonight they
<v Speaker 1>had a press conference that was not in front of
<v Speaker 1>the fans in the arena, which did not seem to
<v Speaker 1>please the fans very much if you were listening keeping
<v Speaker 1>an ear out. Look. I do not want to fault
<v Speaker 1>them for trying something different. I'm all for trying different things,
<v Speaker 1>whether it's WWEE or a W I feel like so
<v Speaker 1>often we get a lot of the same shit, So
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to fault them for trying something different.
<v Speaker 1>They did something different, it didn't work. Don't ever do
<v Speaker 1>it again. Consider it a lesson learned. This did not work.
<v Speaker 1>I know what they were going for as your your
<v Speaker 1>closing go home segment here on this show. I thought
<v Speaker 1>it was a fail. I think there were other ways
<v Speaker 1>that you could have gotten to the big pull apart
<v Speaker 1>brawl that we got there at the end between Hangman
<v Speaker 1>and MJF. So we'll get into what was involved here
<v Speaker 1>in this segment. Again, I could hear the fans, some
<v Speaker 1>some contingent of fans anyway they were they were getting
<v Speaker 1>very restless and they were either booing or they were
<v Speaker 1>chanting boring, maybe both, I don't know, at different points
<v Speaker 1>during the press conference. I'm gonna put that in quotes
<v Speaker 1>press conference. Yeah, I means as closing segments go I
<v Speaker 1>thought this one was pretty lame. But again, we got
<v Speaker 1>to the same point in the end where Hangman tried
<v Speaker 1>to kill MJF by giving him a dead eye on
<v Speaker 1>a barbed wire board. So if you're wondering what kind
<v Speaker 1>of match we're gonna get on Sunday, let me already
<v Speaker 1>know Texas Death Right. You've seen one Texas Death Match
<v Speaker 1>in this company, then you know exactly what to expect.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be violent, it's gonna be bloody, it's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be gory. There's gonna be lots of weapons in barbed
<v Speaker 1>wire and staple guns and god knows what else. But
<v Speaker 1>MJF was able to scurry away and live to fight
<v Speaker 1>another day and Hangman again, if he loses on Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>he can never again challenge for the AW World Championship.
<v Speaker 1>Even though I have pointed out a very I think
<v Speaker 1>simple way around the stipulation for when Hangman does lose
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday, which is that he could always win the
<v Speaker 1>Casino Gauntlet at all in and that way he will
<v Speaker 1>guarantee himself a future shot at the AW World Championships.
<v Speaker 1>He's a simple workaround. It didn't exist when Cody Rhoades
<v Speaker 1>did this back in twenty nineteen, but now they have
<v Speaker 1>the benefit of the briefcase the contract. But no, I
<v Speaker 1>do not think that Hangman Adam Page is leaving Los
<v Speaker 1>Angeles as the aw World Champion. No matter how hard
<v Speaker 1>they try to convince me, until I see it with
<v Speaker 1>my own two two eyes, I will not believe it.
<v Speaker 1>And frankly, if it did happen, I think it would
<v Speaker 1>be a mistake. I think it would be a big
<v Speaker 1>mistake to take that title off of MJF Right now.
<v Speaker 1>We also on this show had potentially the TV match
<v Speaker 1>of the year, which is kind of funny because these
<v Speaker 1>two men went out there at the end of last
<v Speaker 1>year and had what may have been the television match
<v Speaker 1>of the year. This time, though it was for the
<v Speaker 1>TNT Championship. It was Kyle Fletcher defending his title against
<v Speaker 1>Speedball Mike Bailey, and they went out and they had
<v Speaker 1>an excellent match, even though it was marred by a
<v Speaker 1>lame finish. Finish wasn't very good. Actually, we had a
<v Speaker 1>couple of lame finishes on this show. This was not
<v Speaker 1>the only one. There were at least two TAKESHTA slowly
<v Speaker 1>seems to be moving away a little bit more from
<v Speaker 1>the Don Kallis family, which is good. This is like
<v Speaker 1>a slow moving glacier that we've seen for a while.
<v Speaker 1>Now you can see where it's going but it's taking
<v Speaker 1>a while to get there. But they moved. I think
<v Speaker 1>they moved the ball maybe another yard down the field
<v Speaker 1>towards the eventual split between Takeshta and the don Kallis family.
<v Speaker 1>And we got a handful of matches added to the
<v Speaker 1>card on Sunday, not only to the main pay per view,
<v Speaker 1>but to the zero hour pre show as well. And
<v Speaker 1>so what we'll do at the end of the review
<v Speaker 1>here I will run down the entire updated Revolution card,
<v Speaker 1>go through the entire thing, give my updated predictions. We'll
<v Speaker 1>save that for the end. You know, as far as
<v Speaker 1>the show tonight, it didn't feel like there was a
<v Speaker 1>whole lot that happened that was terribly important. You got
<v Speaker 1>some good wrestling on the show. You had the press
<v Speaker 1>conference thing at the end, which I just thought was
<v Speaker 1>a dud and didn't really work. But we had a
<v Speaker 1>couple of matches at least on this show that I
<v Speaker 1>thought were fun and that I enjoy not just Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>and Speedball. There was a women's match on this show
<v Speaker 1>with Willow Nightingale and Persephone, which I thought was good.
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed it. I would not mind seeing these two
<v Speaker 1>women working again in the future. I think this was
<v Speaker 1>the first time they've ever been in the ring together
<v Speaker 1>one on one in a singles match. And remember, Persephone
<v Speaker 1>has a contract with them. She's got one of those
<v Speaker 1>dual contracts, so she's technically under contract to AW. I'd
<v Speaker 1>like to see her more often. She just beat Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>the other day to win the CMLL Women's Championship, although
<v Speaker 1>her title was not on the line tonight. It was
<v Speaker 1>only Willow's title, and actually both of Willow's titles will
<v Speaker 1>be on the line this Sunday. She's going to be
<v Speaker 1>pulling double duty on that Revolution card. We'll talk about
<v Speaker 1>all of it. This is your AW Dynamite review. Thank
<v Speaker 1>you for joining me here on yet another Wednesday night.
<v Speaker 1>Like and subscribe. We are approaching ninety one thousand subscribers,
<v Speaker 1>so the faster you sub the faster we'll get there.
<v Speaker 1>Hit that like button as well. Super chats are open.
<v Speaker 1>I will be reading all of your messages if and
<v Speaker 1>as they come in. I know we had some that
<v Speaker 1>came in before I went live. And also a quick
<v Speaker 1>shout out for those of you who may have missed it.
<v Speaker 1>The latest episode of The Uncrowned Wrestling Show, episode number five,
<v Speaker 1>is up right now. It went up yesterday, actually early
<v Speaker 1>than usual yesterday on the Ariel hell Wani Show podcast feed.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for all of the great feedback, so if
<v Speaker 1>you missed it, that will be on your docket tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>of stuff to listen to on your Thursday. But thank
<v Speaker 1>you for all of the great feedback so far. We're
<v Speaker 1>five episodes deep. We got number six on the way.
<v Speaker 1>It's been good fun time. Let's bring up the wheel,
<v Speaker 1>see how many likes we need to do be the
<v Speaker 1>Booker tonight. We know how things go on Wednesdays sometimes,
<v Speaker 1>but we're gonna we're gonna shoot for the heavens here
<v Speaker 1>and see what we land on. Is this going to
<v Speaker 1>be a be the Booker night or not? Eh? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. We'll see if you want it bad enough.
<v Speaker 1>If you want it bad enough, you're gonna have to
<v Speaker 1>work for it. Five hundred and thirty likes on a Wednesday, hmm,
<v Speaker 1>stranger things have happened. Got some work to do on that,
<v Speaker 1>but that's the goal. Five hundred and thirty likes minimum
<v Speaker 1>if we are to do be the Booker. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know where ex Caliber was. I can't say I was
<v Speaker 1>terribly disappointed. I think Ian Riccabani is great. So hey,
<v Speaker 1>if ex Caliber wants to take a week off here
<v Speaker 1>and there, he's got my permission. He was not on
<v Speaker 1>the show tonight. Tony Schavanni was on play by play.
<v Speaker 1>He was joined by Ian Ravani and Brian Danielson because
<v Speaker 1>they were in San Jose. And I think at this
<v Speaker 1>point Danielson is only appearing typically on the shows that
<v Speaker 1>are out west because he lives that way, and I
<v Speaker 1>know he's talked about when he travels, it really wreaks
<v Speaker 1>havoc on his neck and his neck pain and discomfort
<v Speaker 1>flares up. So they were out on the West coast.
<v Speaker 1>He was on the show tonight, but he was also
<v Speaker 1>the guest of honor, guest of Honor mc whatever you
<v Speaker 1>want to call him, the master of Ceremonies for the
<v Speaker 1>press conference at the end of the show later. So
<v Speaker 1>that was your commentary team. And since they were out west,
<v Speaker 1>since they were in San Jose, guests who showed up?
<v Speaker 1>He popped up on the show tonight. A wild Dave
<v Speaker 1>Meltzer appears. We got an Uncle Dave jump scare there
<v Speaker 1>he is. Look at this, Look at this, Look at
<v Speaker 1>the great one that we have on screen here plus
<v Speaker 1>plus Okata as well. Okata is there too. Yes, Dave
<v Speaker 1>Meltzer was on the show, which I'm sure had a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people talking about everything but the show because
<v Speaker 1>they have Meltzer derangement syndrome here. They can't stop talking
<v Speaker 1>about the guy. But there he is enjoying his aw dynamite.
<v Speaker 1>Tonight say goodbye. So they opened the show with John
<v Speaker 1>Moxley and Claudio Castignoli against Knowski, Takesha and Hetcha Sero.
<v Speaker 1>Yet another battle between members of the Death Riders and
<v Speaker 1>members of the Don Kallis family in this ongoing feud
<v Speaker 1>here with these two factions. Takesha was sporting a black
<v Speaker 1>eye from the match he had on collision with Claudio
<v Speaker 1>and we got a preview here of revolution. As Moxley
<v Speaker 1>and Takesha they went at it. Moxley wanted a Gotch
<v Speaker 1>style pile driver. Takesha, though, escaped into a power drive knee.
<v Speaker 1>Both men were down. This was late in the match
<v Speaker 1>Claudio and Hetchisera. They were going at it when Hetchiesera
<v Speaker 1>almost collided with the referee Mike Posey in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>but he stopped short. He put on the brakes, but
<v Speaker 1>then when he turned around, Claudio poked him in the
<v Speaker 1>eye and then he uppercutted him and then he cradled
<v Speaker 1>him for the wind and the fans booed that finish.
<v Speaker 1>They did not like that finish. This was a weird
<v Speaker 1>one because this whole fucking thing is weird. But it
<v Speaker 1>was weird because the fans they clearly like Moxley and
<v Speaker 1>they clearly like Takeshta, even though they are both part
<v Speaker 1>of what is still a heel faction. Death Riders are
<v Speaker 1>a heel faction. Don Callus Family is a heel faction,
<v Speaker 1>but they love Takeshta and they love Moxley, and typically
<v Speaker 1>they will boo all of the other members, and there
<v Speaker 1>are exceptions to that, but by and large the rest
<v Speaker 1>of them Wheeler, Yuda and Garcia and then they get booed.
<v Speaker 1>So it's been weird since day one when they started
<v Speaker 1>sharing Moxley and they didn't split him away from the
<v Speaker 1>Death Riders. It's still weird, but yes, the finish was
<v Speaker 1>not one that the fans were happy with. Now, when
<v Speaker 1>it was over, the remaining members of the Callous Family,
<v Speaker 1>the ones who were there anyway, they hit the ring
<v Speaker 1>to put a beat down on the Death Riders. Lance
<v Speaker 1>Archer showed up. He even took down Marina Shaffir with
<v Speaker 1>the shoulder tackle. They tried to get Takesha to take
<v Speaker 1>Moxley's head off with a steel chair. They were holding
<v Speaker 1>Moxley and they gave him the chair and Takeshta wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>do it. He was thinking about it, but he just
<v Speaker 1>couldn't bring himself to do it, and he threw the
<v Speaker 1>chair out of the ring. And so the other members
<v Speaker 1>of the Callus family here, they were very upset about this.
<v Speaker 1>What are you doing? And Takesha was trying to explain
<v Speaker 1>to them, I'm going to do this on my own.
<v Speaker 1>I don't need this. So don Callous can see things
<v Speaker 1>are breaking down here. He comes over and he's trying
<v Speaker 1>to calm the situation down and he's saying, leave, leave,
<v Speaker 1>let's go to the back. Go to the back. The
<v Speaker 1>match was okay. I gotta tell you, I am tired
<v Speaker 1>of all of these revolving combinations of the Death Riders
<v Speaker 1>against the Callous family. We've seen a lot of different
<v Speaker 1>combinations of this now for many, many weeks, and at
<v Speaker 1>this point it's time to wrap it up. It's time
<v Speaker 1>to wrap things up and hopefully that will happen now
<v Speaker 1>coming out of Sunday, when we get Moxley and Takeshta
<v Speaker 1>no time limit one on one for the Continental title,
<v Speaker 1>I will say I do like that we are getting closer.
<v Speaker 1>I think I hope to Takeshta breaking away from the
<v Speaker 1>Kallus family. Now, there have been teases of this before.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously he doesn't get along with Okada. Ocada doesn't like him,
<v Speaker 1>so it's been building for a while, but the baby
<v Speaker 1>face turn is on the horizon now. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if it's going to happen before he has the match
<v Speaker 1>with Okada, or if it's going to happen coming out
<v Speaker 1>of the match with Okada. I think it should happen before,
<v Speaker 1>but I also don't see the match happening until we
<v Speaker 1>get to Wembley. I think that's what this is all
<v Speaker 1>building to. I think this is building to again Champion
<v Speaker 1>against Champion Takeshta and Okada, and that would be the
<v Speaker 1>end of August, which is still quite a ways off
<v Speaker 1>if I'm right. If I'm right, and they're holding off
<v Speaker 1>until then to do the match, but I think the
<v Speaker 1>split should happen before then, so at least we took
<v Speaker 1>another little small step in that direction. Tonight. Now, we
<v Speaker 1>had Renee Piquette backstage with the TBS champion Willow Nightingale
<v Speaker 1>and the new CMLL Women's World Champion, Persephone. Oh my,
<v Speaker 1>as Nightingale said, this is a match that she's been
<v Speaker 1>waiting for for a while, and both of them were
<v Speaker 1>congratulating the other for beating Mercedes Monette. Persephanie said that
<v Speaker 1>she hit Mercedes harder than Willow did, and Willow said, well,
<v Speaker 1>I hope you hit me even harder tonight. I think
<v Speaker 1>I can take it elsewhere. Don Kallis was backstage hyping
<v Speaker 1>up Kyle Fletcher before his upcoming TNT title defense. Mjf
<v Speaker 1>interrupts and he tells Fletcher, I want you to beat
<v Speaker 1>the shit out of that Dollar Store karate kid for
<v Speaker 1>kicking me in the face last week talking about Mike Bailey.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher got up in his face. He wasn't happy about
<v Speaker 1>being spoken to like that, and he said, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know who you think you are. Maxwell, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>who you think you're talking to, but I don't take
<v Speaker 1>orders from you. I'm gonna go out there and I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna do it, but I'm gonna do it for myself.
<v Speaker 1>So then mjf just ignores him, looks over at Callous
<v Speaker 1>and says, hey, you got to tell your boys how
<v Speaker 1>to talk to the world champion, and then he walks off,
<v Speaker 1>and Fletcher tells Callus, we'd better not be working for
<v Speaker 1>that guy, and Callus just laughed it off. But that
<v Speaker 1>led into the TNT Championship match with Kyle Fletcher putting
<v Speaker 1>his title on the line against Speedball Mike Bailey, one
<v Speaker 1>third of the now former Trios Champions, as they will
<v Speaker 1>be going for the belts again on Sunday of Revolution.
<v Speaker 1>There was no Kevin Knight on the show, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>which is very interesting because I just got done talking
<v Speaker 1>about all the television time they've devoted to Kevin Knight,
<v Speaker 1>and he's had multiple matches on these shows now for
<v Speaker 1>several weeks, and he was nowhere to be found on
<v Speaker 1>the show tonight. But this was the rematch Fletcher Speedball,
<v Speaker 1>the rematch from the Continental Classic where these two guys
<v Speaker 1>went out there on a random episode of Dynamite in
<v Speaker 1>December and they tore the house down and they had
<v Speaker 1>one of the best television matches of the entire year.
<v Speaker 1>Now they're running it back, only this time there's a
<v Speaker 1>championship on the line, and having seen the match so far,
<v Speaker 1>it's in the running for Television Match of the Year
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty six as well. I'm not going to
<v Speaker 1>run through everything they did here because there's no point
<v Speaker 1>in doing so. You should all go out of your
<v Speaker 1>way to watch this match. If I had one thing
<v Speaker 1>to recommend on this show, this would be it. But
<v Speaker 1>here's the cliff notes version. Ahead of a commercial break,
<v Speaker 1>they were actually out on the apron. Fletcher was looking
<v Speaker 1>for a snake eyes into the corner. Bailey, though countered
<v Speaker 1>into a poison run on the apron. Both men were down.
<v Speaker 1>Fans were going nuts as they cut to a break.
<v Speaker 1>Shout out to that crowd, by the way in San Jose,
<v Speaker 1>a very spirited crowd tonight. Always good to hear a
<v Speaker 1>crowd that's loud and invested. I don't care how big
<v Speaker 1>or small it is. You want to hear them make
<v Speaker 1>a lot of noise. We haven't been getting a lot
<v Speaker 1>of that lately uncertain shows, so it's nice when we
<v Speaker 1>actually get it. Later on, Fletcher went for a brainbuster
<v Speaker 1>Bailey Thull slipped out and he applied a sleeper hole
<v Speaker 1>and he attempted to transition into an arm bar. Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>escaped Bailey he at that point was able to or
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher was able to power him up drop him with
<v Speaker 1>a power bomb to escape. They fought over near the
<v Speaker 1>corner and Bailey delivered a poison rona from the top
<v Speaker 1>rope and followed that up with a roundhouse kick very
<v Speaker 1>close near fall. Bailey lined up for another kick. Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>delivered a Mitchioku driver, also very close near fall. So
<v Speaker 1>we got the three minute time call right three minutes
<v Speaker 1>left here in this TNT title match, Bailey missed the
<v Speaker 1>ultimate weapon from the middle. Ocatta showed up at this
<v Speaker 1>point and he had a screwdriver. You know when I
<v Speaker 1>showed you that shop before you saw Kyle put it
<v Speaker 1>back up here on the screen. You see there's Okata
<v Speaker 1>and there's of course Dave Meltzer, and you see the screwdriver.
<v Speaker 1>You see the screwdriver there in Ocada's hand. It looks
<v Speaker 1>look at this picture, it looks like Dave for a
<v Speaker 1>moment thought about swiping the screwdriver out of Ocatta's hand.
<v Speaker 1>He's staring at the screwdriver. I think Dave's his evil
<v Speaker 1>thoughts were intruding on his mind here, and he was
<v Speaker 1>thinking about maybe reaching over and trying to make the save,
<v Speaker 1>but he was able to restrain himself. But as you
<v Speaker 1>could see, Ocada showed up with a screwdriver and he
<v Speaker 1>distracted the referee. Mark Davis then showed up. He fed
<v Speaker 1>the TNT title belt to Fletcher, who blasted Bailey in
<v Speaker 1>the head with it, and then he quickly picked him
<v Speaker 1>up and delivered a brainbuster for the wind to retain
<v Speaker 1>the championship. Brian Danielson said that you wanted Bailey to
<v Speaker 1>get a rematch so that he can get a fair shot.
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't mind them running it back again, so you
<v Speaker 1>can count me in. You know, they work a million
<v Speaker 1>miles an hour, and I know that may not be
<v Speaker 1>everyone's thing. It's not always my thing either. These two
<v Speaker 1>though they work really well together. They just they know
<v Speaker 1>how to go in there and have a fast paced,
<v Speaker 1>exciting wrestling match and some very convincing near falls in
<v Speaker 1>the process. And in this case, when you have the
<v Speaker 1>time limit, which I guess they had in their first
<v Speaker 1>match too, and you hear that there's you know, three
<v Speaker 1>minutes left, two minutes left, the minute left, it adds
<v Speaker 1>to the drama down the stretch. You know, when you
<v Speaker 1>know you have a you're constrained by a time limit,
<v Speaker 1>and again second time. Now the fans always go nuts
<v Speaker 1>for it. So I thought this was an excellent match
<v Speaker 1>with a shitty finish. That's the best way to describe it.
<v Speaker 1>An excellent match with a shit finish. I mean, it
<v Speaker 1>made sense for what they were trying to do, but again,
<v Speaker 1>just it's a lame finish. It might have been necessary,
<v Speaker 1>but it's a lame finish. Kyle was not losing. We
<v Speaker 1>knew Kyle wasn't losing. And look, Speedball's in the trios
<v Speaker 1>match on Sunday, so they were trying to put more
<v Speaker 1>heat on the Heels and now Speedball is gonna want
<v Speaker 1>to get revenge, you know when they show up on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>He was this close from winning the championship. In fact, backstage,
<v Speaker 1>a little bit later, Speedball was interviewed backstage. He was
<v Speaker 1>very upset. Then he says that he can make excuses,
<v Speaker 1>but that's not who he is, so he needs to
<v Speaker 1>look forward and not back. Revolution he said, the don
<v Speaker 1>Kallis family will get exactly what they deserve. We got
<v Speaker 1>another standby match in the middle of the show, another
<v Speaker 1>stand by match with Brody King. This is his gimmick now,
<v Speaker 1>and he was in street clothes because he wasn't even
<v Speaker 1>ready to wrestle tonight. He had been searching high and
<v Speaker 1>low all day for Swerve Strickland and couldn't find him,
<v Speaker 1>and then he was hey, you got a match. So
<v Speaker 1>Brody King came out against some poor job guy. The
<v Speaker 1>bell sounded. Poor job guy got wrecked with a lariat
<v Speaker 1>and then a gonzo bomb and that was it. So
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna need to trot another standby match out because
<v Speaker 1>this one didn't go very long. So when it was over,
<v Speaker 1>Brody is outside. He's high fiving fans as he's leaving,
<v Speaker 1>and one of them in a hoodie, wraps a chain
<v Speaker 1>around his neck, and of course it ended up being
<v Speaker 1>Swerve Strickland, and he continued choking him with the chain
<v Speaker 1>in the ring until Brody snapped the chain in half
<v Speaker 1>with his bare hands, and the look on Swerve's face,
<v Speaker 1>it was a look of a man who knew that
<v Speaker 1>he was fucked. He knew that his luck had turned,
<v Speaker 1>and he went to go bail. He got dropped with
<v Speaker 1>the back sup plex big cannon ball in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>Brody grabbed the chain, he started choking Swerve out on
<v Speaker 1>the apron with it. Prince Nana comes up from behind
<v Speaker 1>Brody and he's throwing these weak shots, and Brody is
<v Speaker 1>more just annoyed by this than anything else. But it
<v Speaker 1>just provided enough of a distraction for Swerve to snap
<v Speaker 1>his arm, really his wrist over his shoulder, and then
<v Speaker 1>he was able to scamper off. And it was the
<v Speaker 1>same wrist Brian Danielson told us that has been broken
<v Speaker 1>in the past, so perhaps setting up a story point
<v Speaker 1>for their match on Sunday. I guess we'll see if
<v Speaker 1>the arm and the wrist is going to be a focus.
<v Speaker 1>Very basic angle. Otherwise, I mean, again, nothing that we
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen from these two before. I'm already interested in
<v Speaker 1>seeing it. I'm excited to see the match. I'm excited
<v Speaker 1>mostly probably to see a match that wasn't even promoted
<v Speaker 1>on the show today, which is Androte Elitelo and Bandido.
<v Speaker 1>But those are two matches I'm looking forward to on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>What they did here, I mean, it didn't really do
<v Speaker 1>much to change that. You know, Swerve cannot well go
<v Speaker 1>in there and lose to Brody. Really I mean, if
<v Speaker 1>he's going to be next in line, which I presume
<v Speaker 1>he is, to challenge for the World Championship, possibly a dynasty,
<v Speaker 1>then he shouldn't be losing. But he shouldn't be losing anyway,
<v Speaker 1>whether he's challenging for the title next month or not.
<v Speaker 1>If nothing else, he shouldn't be losing until Kenny Omega
<v Speaker 1>comes back and gets his revenge for what Swerve did
<v Speaker 1>to him. So, I mean, I hate to beat Brody
<v Speaker 1>because he already lost one big match to MJF. But
<v Speaker 1>it's just not the right outcome here. You know, Swerve
<v Speaker 1>is the one that they're building up as a heel
<v Speaker 1>to eventually challenge for the championship. So you kind of
<v Speaker 1>see where it's going on Sunday, and when the segment
<v Speaker 1>was over here, it kind of felt like that's the
<v Speaker 1>direction that they're leaning towards. So after this, we had
<v Speaker 1>Darby Allen and Orange Cassidy against the dogs David Finley
<v Speaker 1>and Gabe Kidd. They are the dogs now. David Finley,
<v Speaker 1>of course, made his debut on the show last week.
<v Speaker 1>He made his choice. No longer a free agent, he
<v Speaker 1>is now all Elite for multiple years. Danielson said, Finley
<v Speaker 1>despises his father for never winning a world championship. Well,
<v Speaker 1>now we know. I guess why he didn't show up
<v Speaker 1>on NXT this week side by side with his dad.
<v Speaker 1>I guess that explains everything. So Cassidy made a hot
<v Speaker 1>tag to Darby, who hit some coffin splashes. He Lowbridge,
<v Speaker 1>gave Kid to the floor, then he caught Finley with
<v Speaker 1>a springboard coffin splash. Kid returned, he got trapped in
<v Speaker 1>a scorpion deathlock. Finley was able to break that up
<v Speaker 1>code read by Darby, though got blocked. And so as
<v Speaker 1>he's sitting on Finley's back right and this code red
<v Speaker 1>has just been blocked, here comes Gabe Kid with this
<v Speaker 1>fucking great lariat just takes his head off, just fucking
<v Speaker 1>wrecked him with it. S As Finley was posing in
<v Speaker 1>the corner, Cassidy was able to hit a stun dog.
<v Speaker 1>Darby followed with the code red. Finally, Darby and Orange
<v Speaker 1>they hit double dives outside on both dogs. As Darby
<v Speaker 1>place gave Kid on a chair, he connected with a
<v Speaker 1>missile drop kick off the top rope. Cassidy signaled for
<v Speaker 1>an orange punch. He got blasted though from behind by
<v Speaker 1>Clark Conners who came from the crowd with a tire iron.
<v Speaker 1>He hit him with a tire iron. Darby rolled Kid
<v Speaker 1>back inside, but he missed the coffin drop. Finley was
<v Speaker 1>in with a backbreaker across the knee, followed by a dominator,
<v Speaker 1>and then Kid came over for a leaping pile driver
<v Speaker 1>to win it for the Dogs. I still want to
<v Speaker 1>call them war Dogs, but I guess now they're officially
<v Speaker 1>the dogs. See, this is what I'm talking about when
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking about a bunch of lame finishes on the show. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>in the opening match, we had Claudio with an ipoke, okay,
<v Speaker 1>and then a fucking cradle a roller up. And then
<v Speaker 1>in the TNT title match we had Ocatta coming out
<v Speaker 1>with a screwdriver and Mark Davis with a belt shot
<v Speaker 1>or to hand the belt to Fletcher for a belt shot.
<v Speaker 1>And then here in this match we had you know
<v Speaker 1>what went down here. So this kind of came one
<v Speaker 1>right after the other after the other, and I just
<v Speaker 1>thought that, uh, I don't know, pretty fucking lame. We
<v Speaker 1>go from all that to a tire iron, eh am.
<v Speaker 1>I supposed to be excited by this, but the Dogs win,
<v Speaker 1>which is good because they had to win. Here they're
<v Speaker 1>brand new. You can't be beating them. You just put
<v Speaker 1>them together as a trio. You can't be beating them.
<v Speaker 1>When the match was over, Darby got tossed outside Clark
<v Speaker 1>Connors through Cassidy in the ring where he planted him
<v Speaker 1>with a spear. But here comes Roderick Straw. Now, if
<v Speaker 1>you remember, Roddy walked out on Orange Cassidy a number
<v Speaker 1>of weeks ago. He didn't want to have anything to
<v Speaker 1>do with him. He didn't want to, he didn't want
<v Speaker 1>him in the conglomeration. He just doesn't like him. So
<v Speaker 1>what's gonna happen? Now? Roddy walks out and he teased
<v Speaker 1>taking out Cassidy instead. He threw Cassidy headfirst into Findley
<v Speaker 1>and he took out the rest of the dog, so
<v Speaker 1>it was a swerve. Darby recovered. He threw his skateboard
<v Speaker 1>a Gabe kid. Clark Conner's got dropped with an end
<v Speaker 1>of heartache. Strong stared down. Cassidy offered his hand, he
<v Speaker 1>pulled him up and they high fived each other, so seemingly,
<v Speaker 1>seemingly for the time being, all as well. We'll see
<v Speaker 1>if that lasts far. As Finley's debut. I mean this
<v Speaker 1>was really nothing special. You know, he looked fine, to
<v Speaker 1>be honest with you, you know, week two and he
<v Speaker 1>kind of just blended in as just another guy, which
<v Speaker 1>is likely the kind of role that he's going to
<v Speaker 1>have for a while on the show until they decide
<v Speaker 1>to sort of rotate people out of that upper part
<v Speaker 1>of the card and maybe they'll focus on him at
<v Speaker 1>some point. They'll have him challenging for a championship of
<v Speaker 1>some kind. There's plenty of them to choose from. There's
<v Speaker 1>plenty of belts for him to challenge for. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, you for someone who just got introduced, I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to say that falling completely flat, but again
<v Speaker 1>just felt like another guy. And it's week two, first match,
<v Speaker 1>but at least they won, they had to win, and
<v Speaker 1>they have added a new match to Revolution. It will
<v Speaker 1>be Orange Cassidy Darby, Allen and Roderick Strong against all
<v Speaker 1>three members of the Dogs. So that is now on
<v Speaker 1>the card for Sunday. After this, we went to a
<v Speaker 1>Willow Nightingale defending her TBS championship against the CMLL Women's
<v Speaker 1>World Champion Persephone. This was only for the TBS title.
<v Speaker 1>This was Persephone's Dynamite debut. Persephone is a strong gal.
<v Speaker 1>She is very strong. She muscled Willow up at one point,
<v Speaker 1>hit a fallaway slam, and then kipped up to a
<v Speaker 1>big reaction as they went to a commercial break. Later on,
<v Speaker 1>Willow wanted a moon salt. She got it, but there
<v Speaker 1>was nobody home, so she splatted and that allowed Persephone
<v Speaker 1>to hit a release German. Willow, though blocked a charge,
<v Speaker 1>she ended up doling out one of her own. Persephone
<v Speaker 1>hit a lion salt for a close near fall as
<v Speaker 1>the ring announcer announced a ten minute call. Is it
<v Speaker 1>the same thing with the TBS title? I would imagine
<v Speaker 1>it's the same thing. Twenty minute time limit. Pretty sure
<v Speaker 1>it's twenty. So Willow missed a corner charge. She ate
<v Speaker 1>a shotgun drop kick. Persephone went up top and Willow
<v Speaker 1>met her up there. The two of them were jockeying
<v Speaker 1>for position. Persephonie tried a sunset bomb. Willow held on.
<v Speaker 1>She did not want to go, so Persephanie she ended
<v Speaker 1>up getting her. She grabbed her under the armpits as
<v Speaker 1>if she was going to give her a razor's edge,
<v Speaker 1>either that or a crucifix bomb. Instead, Willow was able
<v Speaker 1>to escape and she got a back slot and she
<v Speaker 1>pinned her. She got a flash pin off of a
<v Speaker 1>backslide to retain her championship. Persephonie couldn't believe it. She
<v Speaker 1>was upset, So was I fucking backslide. I'd be upset too,
<v Speaker 1>But Willow Nightingale is still your TVs champion. This was fun.
<v Speaker 1>This was fun. I would love to see them run
<v Speaker 1>this back again at some point. I think the backslide finish,
<v Speaker 1>if nothing else, you know, it leaves it open for that,
<v Speaker 1>because it was hardly a decisive finish, right. She didn't
<v Speaker 1>beat her decisively. She left the door open for a
<v Speaker 1>rematch down the road. But I thought Persephonie looked impressive
<v Speaker 1>out there. And again, she's got the dual contract, so
<v Speaker 1>it's not just well, they have the working relationship with CMLL,
<v Speaker 1>and so every now and then we have a CMLL
<v Speaker 1>talent on the show. She's got a CMLL deal and
<v Speaker 1>she's got an aw deal. Hopefully that means we get
<v Speaker 1>to see more of her on these shows. Obviously we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna see the most that you will see of her.
<v Speaker 1>We'll be in CMLL. But Hopefully we get to see
<v Speaker 1>more of her on these shows going forward, because she
<v Speaker 1>look as fun as this match was. There's any number
<v Speaker 1>of women on that roster right now. I can name
<v Speaker 1>five of them off the top of my head. If
<v Speaker 1>you want to throw Statlander in there, or a Jamie Hayter,
<v Speaker 1>or a Tecler or a Tony Storm up and down
<v Speaker 1>the list that Persephanie could work with and that would
<v Speaker 1>be a lot of fun. Megan Bain, hopefully we get
<v Speaker 1>the chance to see it. We had the Young Bucks
<v Speaker 1>and Mark Brisco against FTR and Tamaso Champa. This was
<v Speaker 1>our main event of the evening, the in ring main event.
<v Speaker 1>This did not close the show, but it was technically
<v Speaker 1>the main event of the evening. I would call it
<v Speaker 1>the party match of the night. But let's be fucking
<v Speaker 1>honest here. Okay, most matches on these shows you could
<v Speaker 1>call them party matches. Okay, they're basically I mean, it's
<v Speaker 1>kind of redundant to say, oh, this is the party
<v Speaker 1>match of the night. They're all they're all mostly like this.
<v Speaker 1>Brisco knocked Champa off the apron before the opening bell,
<v Speaker 1>The Bucks hit double dives out onto FTR, and it
<v Speaker 1>was just mass chaos all over rings Before the bell
<v Speaker 1>even rang, Somersalt cutter off the apron by matt On
<v Speaker 1>cash Wheeler. Briscoe jumped from the barricade onto Champa. He
<v Speaker 1>was setting a table up. Finally the bell rings. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so now we're officially underway after all this insanity. Now
<v Speaker 1>the match is officially begun. FTR hit the first part
<v Speaker 1>of the power plex. This actually just made me shake
<v Speaker 1>my head. Right, So they have the old power and
<v Speaker 1>Glory powerplex spy, right, they've been doing it for years.
<v Speaker 1>So they hit the first part of it, which is
<v Speaker 1>the big superplex. Down goes Mark Brisco and so here
<v Speaker 1>comes cash Wheeler for the splash. Brisco gets the knees up,
<v Speaker 1>which is fine, okay, he cut off the second part
<v Speaker 1>of it. But as soon as he gets the knees up,
<v Speaker 1>like he's right back up, nothing happened, Like, dude, you
<v Speaker 1>just got superplexed off the top rope. But he's right
<v Speaker 1>back up and just onto the next It's like, gotta
<v Speaker 1>keep things moving, gotta keep things moving. I guess right,
<v Speaker 1>there's no time for that silly selling stuff. We just
<v Speaker 1>got to keep things rolling along. It broke down into
<v Speaker 1>a spot fest from here. FTR wanted a spike pile driver.
<v Speaker 1>Later on, Matt Jackson off the barricade outside. I think
<v Speaker 1>Wheeler was on the barricade and he was gonna jump off.
<v Speaker 1>They were gonnave him a spike pile driver. Wheeler, though
<v Speaker 1>got knocked off. Matt threw Dax onto the announced desk,
<v Speaker 1>so Harwood blasted Matt with one of the monitors that
<v Speaker 1>he picked up, and Wheeler ended up jumping off the
<v Speaker 1>guardrail with a spike pile driver onto the table, which
<v Speaker 1>did not break. Champa caught Briscoe with a running knee
<v Speaker 1>strike for a two count. He went for another one. Briscoe,
<v Speaker 1>though blocked it and he wanted a jay driller. Wheeler
<v Speaker 1>hit him from behind, but he hit the air raid
<v Speaker 1>crash and then another running knee and Tomaso Champa pins
<v Speaker 1>Mark Briscoe to win this match, and when it was over,
<v Speaker 1>Champa set up a bunch of chairs in the ring
<v Speaker 1>and he hit brisco in the back with one of them.
<v Speaker 1>He placed him up on top and he came off
<v Speaker 1>with an avalanche air raid crash through two tables that
<v Speaker 1>were seated right next to each other, and Tomaso Champa,
<v Speaker 1>along with FTR, but Tomaso Champa was left standing tall
<v Speaker 1>here in the main event of the evening, which was
<v Speaker 1>nice to see. I questioned what he lost that championship
<v Speaker 1>to Kyle Fletcher. My concern was that, Okay, he's again
<v Speaker 1>one of many that Tony has signed recently, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure we'll see him on Collision, but Dynamite is still
<v Speaker 1>there a show. Is he just gonna vanish from the show?
<v Speaker 1>He did there for like a couple of weeks, but
<v Speaker 1>it was nice to see him because now he's heel. Right,
<v Speaker 1>there was a heel turn, which is another reason why
<v Speaker 1>I like the fact that he got the win here
<v Speaker 1>in this match. They had to follow up in some
<v Speaker 1>kind of strong way because they turned him heel on Saturday,
<v Speaker 1>and the way they turned him heal, I wouldn't even
<v Speaker 1>be surprised if this was his idea. It was like
<v Speaker 1>a playoff of the old memorable NXT angle with Johnny Gargano.
<v Speaker 1>They just replayed the angle that you know they did
<v Speaker 1>with DIY years ago, and it's like it was never
<v Speaker 1>going to be as good as the original. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why you would have just tried to recreate it,
<v Speaker 1>but I was at least happy that they turned him
<v Speaker 1>heal because you know, he calls himself the Psycho Killer.
<v Speaker 1>I think Champa is better off as a heel anyway,
<v Speaker 1>So I was happy to see that, and you had,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you want to follow it up in a
<v Speaker 1>strong way. There's no better way to follow it up
<v Speaker 1>than with a win. So they did what they had
<v Speaker 1>to do here, and I'm sure that we're probably gonna
<v Speaker 1>end up getting another Champ of Briscoe match. Right, he
<v Speaker 1>did turn on Briscoe on Saturday, so and then he
<v Speaker 1>pinned him here. So it seems to me like a
<v Speaker 1>match is being up. Although nothing was announced for Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>I think they have enough matches for Sunday. And then
<v Speaker 1>as far as FTR in the Bucks, you know, they
<v Speaker 1>gave you a little preview of what to expect at Revolution.
<v Speaker 1>I do still think we are getting a title change
<v Speaker 1>in that match. So they said, we're all out of
<v Speaker 1>commercial breaks. We can't go to commercials. So here's what
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna do. We're gonna pitch it to a video package,
<v Speaker 1>probably the one that they will air on Sunday. Do
<v Speaker 1>they typically air sometimes? They do? Right, They air the
<v Speaker 1>video packages on the pay per views. I know WWE does,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't know. Sometimes AW they just they go
<v Speaker 1>from one match to the next and they don't have
<v Speaker 1>time for all the videos. This will probably be the
<v Speaker 1>one that they air on Sunday, though, at least on
<v Speaker 1>the pre show. So we got a whole preview for
<v Speaker 1>MJF and Hangman and all of the events that have
<v Speaker 1>led up to the championship match of Revolution. So when
<v Speaker 1>they came back live, they had an areas set up
<v Speaker 1>that was not in the ring, who's in the back
<v Speaker 1>somewhere for a press conference, and Danielson was there as
<v Speaker 1>the host, and he introduced us first to the challenger, Hangman,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Page, and then he welcomed in the AW World
<v Speaker 1>Champion MJF. And he was at a podium and they
<v Speaker 1>had a table on either side, and you know, Hangman's
<v Speaker 1>over here and MJF sits down over here, and I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>how's this gonna go? And you could see in the
<v Speaker 1>front right. They never cut to like a wide shot
<v Speaker 1>of like everyone who was sitting there the press corps,
<v Speaker 1>but you saw some people sitting up front. I mean
<v Speaker 1>this was I mean, this was about as legit as
<v Speaker 1>the the WrestleMania eight press conference when they had the
<v Speaker 1>room full of reporters to announce who was challenging Rick
<v Speaker 1>Flair at WrestleMania eight right for the championship, but they
<v Speaker 1>pitched it to actual you know, actual people. So the
<v Speaker 1>first person first question. I don't know who asked the question,
<v Speaker 1>but is this just about the world time or is
<v Speaker 1>this about pure revenge? Okay, this was for Hangman. Hangman
<v Speaker 1>made it very clear, this is about the championship, even
<v Speaker 1>though MJF fucked him out of the trios titles previously.
<v Speaker 1>It's not about revenge more than anything, It's about the
<v Speaker 1>AW World Championship said And then there was another question
<v Speaker 1>for someone watching AAW for the first time and they're
<v Speaker 1>watching your match a Texas death match. Now, I want
<v Speaker 1>you to think about that. If you're someone who's never
<v Speaker 1>watched wrestling before and your first exposure to wrestling is
<v Speaker 1>going to be a Texas death match in AEW and
<v Speaker 1>you know how they do Texas death matches, You're either
<v Speaker 1>going to fall in love with wrestling because you are
<v Speaker 1>the most bloodthirsty son of a bitch in the world,
<v Speaker 1>or you are going to be fucking mortified and you
<v Speaker 1>will never watch another second of wrestling for the rest
<v Speaker 1>of your life. There really is no in between. You
<v Speaker 1>go from one extreme to the other. If that's going
<v Speaker 1>to be your first match, it's not something I would recommend.
<v Speaker 1>But that was the question for someone watching for the
<v Speaker 1>first time. What do you want them to leave with?
<v Speaker 1>MJF said he wants them to leave with the fact
<v Speaker 1>that he's a real professional wrestler and that he is
<v Speaker 1>leaving with the AW World Championship, and Hangman said that
<v Speaker 1>Max is going to be leaving in an ambulance. So
<v Speaker 1>the next question came from Baby Huey with the bone
<v Speaker 1>It's a radio station, say I know that, Baby Huey,
<v Speaker 1>And he asked MJF about losing both of his matches
<v Speaker 1>last year to Hangman. MJF called him a tub of goo.
<v Speaker 1>He said that those wins were flukes. Hangman is out
<v Speaker 1>of bullets and he will never be able to challenge
<v Speaker 1>for the AW World title ever again. So then it
<v Speaker 1>was someone from the ringer I think it was. His
<v Speaker 1>name was Chris. I believe what lessons is Hangman taking
<v Speaker 1>away from his pre is Texas death matches And Hangman
<v Speaker 1>said that he now again in the midst of all
<v Speaker 1>of this. I could hear the crowd. They were either
<v Speaker 1>booing or chanting, boring. They were clearly getting very restless
<v Speaker 1>because again, this was happening backstage, so they were watching
<v Speaker 1>on a video wall. But Hangman said that he has
<v Speaker 1>ended careers in Texas Death. Has he has he ended? Well?
<v Speaker 1>I guess he has. Actually he had the match with
<v Speaker 1>Christopher Daniels. I guess that would be the one career
<v Speaker 1>that he ended in Texas Death. But he said he's
<v Speaker 1>bringing every lesson that he has ever learned in those
<v Speaker 1>matches to teach MJF. And he's going to do it
<v Speaker 1>one drop of blood at a time. So Brian pitched
<v Speaker 1>it to another question, this one from Denise Salcedo. This
<v Speaker 1>one was for Hangman. She brought up his past Texas
<v Speaker 1>Death matches and his wins. So her question is is
<v Speaker 1>this the convergence of all of his story here in California?
<v Speaker 1>Just yeah, the last match he had with MJF. Was
<v Speaker 1>it the last match? They had two matches last year, now,
<v Speaker 1>I guess the last one would have been at Forbidden Door.
<v Speaker 1>I think the first one they had last year was
<v Speaker 1>in La at Revolution, if I'm not mistaken. Although that
<v Speaker 1>wasn't a Texas deathmatch, but anyway, he said, it is
<v Speaker 1>to convergence of everything. People have compared him in Max
<v Speaker 1>for six years now and finally they get to finish
<v Speaker 1>it once and for all. This year will be a
<v Speaker 1>replay of Revolution last year, just a lot more bloody.
<v Speaker 1>So that we had one more question from Christopher from
<v Speaker 1>Self Made for Hangman. If you do not win the
<v Speaker 1>World Championship, who are you in aew and Hangman just
<v Speaker 1>said that, well, that's not happening because I'm winning the championship.
<v Speaker 1>But when he said it, you could hear it in
<v Speaker 1>his voice, you could see it on his face. He
<v Speaker 1>was almost stammering over his words, like he was nervous,
<v Speaker 1>like he didn't fully believe what he was saying. The
<v Speaker 1>words were coming out of his mouth, but maybe he's
<v Speaker 1>not fully believing them. And MJF picked up on this
<v Speaker 1>and he kind of smirked, and you know, MJF said that, well,
<v Speaker 1>it's obvious that you're not winning and you're never going
<v Speaker 1>to be able to challenge for the title ever again.
<v Speaker 1>So here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna celebrate. And
<v Speaker 1>he called somebody over and this person hands him two
<v Speaker 1>beers and two red solo cups, and he gets up
<v Speaker 1>and he goes, heng Man, we're going to toast to
<v Speaker 1>you never again, challenging for the aw World title. And
<v Speaker 1>as he walks over towards Hangman, he smacks one of
<v Speaker 1>the beers out of his hand one of the cups.
<v Speaker 1>MJF takes the other cup and he splashes it in
<v Speaker 1>his face, and so here we go, here we go,
<v Speaker 1>and they start fighting. Danielson just backs as far away
<v Speaker 1>from this as he possibly can, and they brawl off
<v Speaker 1>somewhere and again this was clearly staged in like the
<v Speaker 1>area behind the screens in the stage and the curtain.
<v Speaker 1>It might have been in the lobby like right behind that, uh,
<v Speaker 1>because they soon brawled out into the arena, more specifically
<v Speaker 1>into the crowd, and they're fighting through the fans and
<v Speaker 1>one of the security guys gets pulled in by MJF
<v Speaker 1>as Hangman is about to throw a punch, and he
<v Speaker 1>decks the security guy by accident, so down he goes.
<v Speaker 1>So they wound up in the ring. Hangman mounts him
<v Speaker 1>with punches, but security pours out all these security goofs
<v Speaker 1>they hit the ring to break them up. Hangman punches
<v Speaker 1>each one of them out. While this is happening, MJF
<v Speaker 1>is down in the corner. You could see him putting
<v Speaker 1>the dynamite diamond ring on his finger. And after Hangman
<v Speaker 1>has knocked down all of the security goofs. MJF gets up.
<v Speaker 1>He charges at him like he's gonna hit him with
<v Speaker 1>the ring, but he gets scooped up and Hangman drops
<v Speaker 1>him on his head with a dead eye. So Hangman
<v Speaker 1>goes under the ring. He pulls out a barbed wire board,
<v Speaker 1>just to give you a little taste of what we
<v Speaker 1>can expect on Sunday, and he leaves the board lying
<v Speaker 1>on the ground outside. He goes in the ring. He
<v Speaker 1>brings MJF out onto the apron and he picks him
<v Speaker 1>up like he's gonna give him a dead eye. He's
<v Speaker 1>gonna give this guy a dead eye. Off the apron,
<v Speaker 1>down onto the barbed wire board. MJF realizes this and says,
<v Speaker 1>you ain't gonna do that to me, and so he's
<v Speaker 1>able to escape and he scampers off through the crowd,
<v Speaker 1>and that is how they went off the air. That
<v Speaker 1>was their final tease for the World Championship match. Their
<v Speaker 1>final hot like big cell to the audience was a
<v Speaker 1>press conference. By the way, how are you going to
<v Speaker 1>have a press conference on this show and Dave Meltzer
<v Speaker 1>is in the building and you don't have Dave Meltzer
<v Speaker 1>asking a question during the press conference? How are you
<v Speaker 1>gonna do that? This didn't work. This didn't work. I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate them trying something different for a change instead of
<v Speaker 1>just having you know, just I guess, a regular face
<v Speaker 1>to face. Honestly, compared to what they did here, it
<v Speaker 1>would have been no better and no worse, and it
<v Speaker 1>would have resulted in exactly the same pull up art brawl,
<v Speaker 1>but at least it would have been in front of
<v Speaker 1>the fans and you wouldn't have had people chanting, boring.
<v Speaker 1>They tried something different. It didn't work. Don't do this again.
<v Speaker 1>You want to do a press conference, that's fine, but
<v Speaker 1>you don't do it in the you know, kind of
<v Speaker 1>the go home segment here on the final dynamite before
<v Speaker 1>your big pay per view. There are other ways to
<v Speaker 1>go about doing stuff like this, and this ain't it.
<v Speaker 1>This ain't it. This was. This was a swing and
<v Speaker 1>a miss is what this was. As far as the
<v Speaker 1>rest of the show goes again, you got some good wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>Excellent match again between Kyle Fletcher and Mike Bailey. Those
<v Speaker 1>guys bring it every single time. They just, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>they bring out the best at each other. I enjoyed
<v Speaker 1>the women's match. To me, those are the two best
<v Speaker 1>parts of the show for me, and the rest of it.
<v Speaker 1>The rest of it was just kind of there. They
<v Speaker 1>didn't do a whole hell of a lot that was
<v Speaker 1>any different than probably they've done over the last week
<v Speaker 1>or two. It was a lot of similarities and some
<v Speaker 1>of the stuff that they did, so they didn't really
<v Speaker 1>move the needle too much for me. On Revolution, there's
<v Speaker 1>some really strong matches on paper that are on that card.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's going to be a really good pay
<v Speaker 1>per view. I just can't say that tonight's show is
<v Speaker 1>any great shakes. This week's episode is sponsored by Wicks.
<v Speaker 1>We got to talk about Wicks's new Harmony editor. This
<v Speaker 1>thing makes it incredibly easy to create a website from scratch,
<v Speaker 1>right down to the way that you always pictured it
<v Speaker 1>in your head. It's insane. I only wish this existed
<v Speaker 1>years ago and I created my first website. Would have
<v Speaker 1>saved me a lot of grief. It is the new
<v Speaker 1>way to create websites. You just type in a prompt
<v Speaker 1>and you can get yourself set up with a professional
<v Speaker 1>website in no time. And my favorite part is the
<v Speaker 1>way that it allows you to jump back and forth
<v Speaker 1>between AI and hands on editing whenever you want, so
<v Speaker 1>you get the speed and efficiency of AI and your
<v Speaker 1>own personal AI agent named Aria, along with the precision
<v Speaker 1>of your own hands so you stay in control of
<v Speaker 1>every little detail to help you build your site and
<v Speaker 1>manage your business, whatever that may be. It could be
<v Speaker 1>for your podcast like this one that you're listening to
<v Speaker 1>right now, it could be a product, a service, anything,
<v Speaker 1>literally anything, and enjoy easy domain registration with web hosting included.
<v Speaker 1>It's the new way to create websites. Trust Wix with
<v Speaker 1>yours and see what they can do for you. Visit
<v Speaker 1>wix dot com slash harmony. That's wix dot com slash harmony.
<v Speaker 1>But speaking of that pay per view, let's talk about
<v Speaker 1>this updated card here. Because we now have what I
<v Speaker 1>assume I shouldn't. I shouldn't even say that, because I
<v Speaker 1>know the way Tony operates, He'll probably add something else.
<v Speaker 1>We'll probably get one or two more things added to
<v Speaker 1>the fucking Zero Hour. But for the time being, this
<v Speaker 1>is the up to date complete card here for Revolution.
<v Speaker 1>Ricochet not on the show tonight, but he will be
<v Speaker 1>and he will not be on the Revolution main card either.
<v Speaker 1>He's on the pre show. Ricochet is defending the National
<v Speaker 1>Championship against nineteen or twenty twenty twenty other men. It's
<v Speaker 1>a twenty one man blackjack Battle Royal. We have not
<v Speaker 1>had one of these in about three years, I believe,
<v Speaker 1>since Double or Nothing twenty twenty three. The only other
<v Speaker 1>person we know in this Battle Royal is Tamaso Champa.
<v Speaker 1>We do not know the names of anyone else. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>Big Boom Aj of the Costco guys will end up
<v Speaker 1>in there. We don't know anybody else in the Battle Royal,
<v Speaker 1>so it's kind of hard to make a prediction here.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm gonna say Ricochet retains. I don't see him
<v Speaker 1>losing the title. Now. Also added to the Zero Hour,
<v Speaker 1>Willa Nightingale is going to be putting her TVs championship
<v Speaker 1>on the line against Lena Cross, who just debuted. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that she has has she does she wrestle
<v Speaker 1>on collision, Maybe she did. If she's had a match
<v Speaker 1>she's had one, But then again, Persephone got a tv
<v Speaker 1>S title match, so it kind of doesn't matter. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Mark Briscoe lost the TNT Championship to Tamaso Champa in
<v Speaker 1>Champa's first match in aw They don't have rankings anymore,
<v Speaker 1>so anybody can get a title shot at any given time.
<v Speaker 1>It don't matter. So Lena Cross is going to go
<v Speaker 1>in there and get a TBS title match against Willow,
<v Speaker 1>and I hear this and I'm like, would they do
<v Speaker 1>a title change here? I don't think they should. I
<v Speaker 1>think she should lose the tag belts before she loses
<v Speaker 1>the TBS title. Now, if she was wrestling Megan Bain,
<v Speaker 1>I would feel different because then I would do a
<v Speaker 1>title change with Lean Across. I wouldn't do it yet.
<v Speaker 1>So I was picking Willow to win this match, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm sticking with that. But then we got the announcement
<v Speaker 1>that that will not be the only time we see
<v Speaker 1>Willow and Lena wrestling on Sunday, because not only are
<v Speaker 1>they having a singles match on the pre show, they
<v Speaker 1>have been added to the main card as well, and
<v Speaker 1>Willow and Harley Cameron are going to be defending their
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles against Leana Cross and Megan Bain. So
<v Speaker 1>these two women are going to be pulling double duty
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday, and in that case, we need a title change.
<v Speaker 1>We need those tag team titles to come over to
<v Speaker 1>Megan Bane and Lenacross. And I fully believe one hundred
<v Speaker 1>and ten percent that had Penelope Ford not gotten hurt
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago, the tag belts would already be
<v Speaker 1>on Megan Baine and Penelope Ford instead. Penelope is going
<v Speaker 1>to be out for a while. Tony Kahn had an
<v Speaker 1>update the other day and her injury is worse than
<v Speaker 1>they expected, so it's going to be many weeks, if
<v Speaker 1>not months, he said, before we see her back in
<v Speaker 1>the ring again. So thankfully for them, they had associated
<v Speaker 1>Lean Across with the two of them. You just sub
<v Speaker 1>her in there for Penelope. Put the belts on the
<v Speaker 1>two of them. There's no reason. There's no reason not to.
<v Speaker 1>I still don't know why Willow has two belts. So
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get new tag team champions on Sunday. We
<v Speaker 1>have Darby Allen Orange Cass City in Roderick Strong against
<v Speaker 1>David Finley, Gabe Kid and Clark Conners. This should be
<v Speaker 1>a win for the dogs again. They're just trying to
<v Speaker 1>get this crew established. There's no reason for them to
<v Speaker 1>lose this match. They won tonight, they should win on
<v Speaker 1>Sunday as well. Timeless Tony Storm won on one with
<v Speaker 1>Marina Shaffir. Everyone is banned from ringside, the Conglomeration, the
<v Speaker 1>death Riders, no one is allowed at ringside. This will
<v Speaker 1>be a win for Timeless Tony Storm. Kenoski Takeshta, John
<v Speaker 1>Moxley aw Continental Championship, no time limit. When they had
<v Speaker 1>their first match in Australia, they went to a time
<v Speaker 1>limit draw. I was hoping for a title change there.
<v Speaker 1>We didn't get it, but it felt like they're going
<v Speaker 1>to have to run this back. Well, here we are
<v Speaker 1>now we have to get a winner, right, there's no
<v Speaker 1>bullshit here. Someone's winning and someone's losing, and the person
<v Speaker 1>who wins should be Knoski Takashta. So he gets his
<v Speaker 1>hands on that continental title and you use that to
<v Speaker 1>further the issues with him and Okado Okada, sus he
<v Speaker 1>wins a championship because he's been mocking Takeshta like I
<v Speaker 1>have a belt, Kyle has a belt. Even fucking Mark
<v Speaker 1>Davis has a belt. You know who doesn't have a belt, Takeshta. Well,
<v Speaker 1>now Takeshta will have a belt, and that's not gonna
<v Speaker 1>sit well with Okada, and so you could just kind
<v Speaker 1>of go from there. Takeshta should win that title. Takesha
<v Speaker 1>needs to win this match. John Moxley's been going out
<v Speaker 1>there every week on television. He's wrestling everybody. He's been
<v Speaker 1>going down the line, every member of this fucking family,
<v Speaker 1>even El Clone, Mark Davis, up and down the line.
<v Speaker 1>Josh Alexander, it's time. It's time. It's time to take
<v Speaker 1>this title, this useless title. Useless though it may be.
<v Speaker 1>At least they could further the story here with these
<v Speaker 1>other two and put it on Kenoski Takeshta. We have
<v Speaker 1>Kazuska Okada, speaking of which, who not only is the
<v Speaker 1>International Champion, he's one third of the Trios Champions, tagging
<v Speaker 1>with Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis to defend those Trios
<v Speaker 1>titles against Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey and Mystico. Why because
<v Speaker 1>it's Mystico and Tony Kahn says, Hey, if I can
<v Speaker 1>get mystic Goo on my show, I want him on
<v Speaker 1>my show. Okay. It literally the only the only real
<v Speaker 1>uh thing to say about Mystico's involvement in this match.
<v Speaker 1>At least there is story and bad blood with Jet
<v Speaker 1>Speed and the Callous Family. But again, Mystico being thrown
<v Speaker 1>in there. He's literally just being thrown into the match.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Hangman was their partner. Hangman's a little busy
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday. We need it, We need a replacement. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>let's call Mystico. Okay, they're not winning. Callous Family is
<v Speaker 1>holding onto these titles. They just won them. They just
<v Speaker 1>won these titles. It would be uh, it would be
<v Speaker 1>I would be sad for Mark Davis as quickly as
<v Speaker 1>he got a belt if they took it away from him.
<v Speaker 1>So for Mark Davis's sake, let's give him a little
<v Speaker 1>more time with the belt. So then we have Tecla
<v Speaker 1>defending her aw Women's World Championship against the former champion,
<v Speaker 1>Chris Statlander. This will be two out of three falls.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going with Tecla to retain Brodie King and Swerve Strickland.
<v Speaker 1>One on one has got to be a win for Swerve.
<v Speaker 1>Swerve is the one who's being built up either for
<v Speaker 1>the rematch with Kenny Omega World Championship match with MJF
<v Speaker 1>or Hangmen. I suppose it's possible either way. You got
<v Speaker 1>to give him the win here. Androde Liedlo one on
<v Speaker 1>one with Bandido. There's no story here. There's no story here,
<v Speaker 1>but it's going to be a kick ass match, and
<v Speaker 1>I think Androti is going to pick up the win.
<v Speaker 1>FTR puts the AW World Tag Team titles on the
<v Speaker 1>line against the Young Bucks. I still feel like we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna get a title change here. I'm going with the
<v Speaker 1>Bucks for the win, and perhaps we will get the
<v Speaker 1>return of Copeland and Christian and they will play some
<v Speaker 1>sort of role here and we'll circle back around to
<v Speaker 1>them in FTR, only without the belts on the line.
<v Speaker 1>And then in the main event, MJF puts the AW
<v Speaker 1>World Championship on the line Texas Death against Hangman Adam Page.
<v Speaker 1>If Hangman loses, he can never again challenge for the
<v Speaker 1>AW World title, at least not until he wins the
<v Speaker 1>Casino Golman. MJF is not losing this title. I know
<v Speaker 1>they want you to believe that Hangman is going to win.
<v Speaker 1>He's not gonna win. I think MJF is retaining and
<v Speaker 1>I believe the very good chance that Swerve Strickland is
<v Speaker 1>going to factor into the finish here. I think he
<v Speaker 1>is looking for clear road to get back to the championship.
<v Speaker 1>He already took out Kenny Omega. Now he has the
<v Speaker 1>chance to take out Hangman for good and he will
<v Speaker 1>have a clear path to MJF in that world title.
<v Speaker 1>This alliance with him and Hangman is going to be
<v Speaker 1>short lived. I think he plays a role in this
<v Speaker 1>in some way. I do, But either way, MJF is
<v Speaker 1>going to win. So that's the card. We'll see if
<v Speaker 1>they add one more, two more. I think they're taping
<v Speaker 1>Collision tonight to air on Saturday, so we'll find out.
<v Speaker 1>And I am planning on being live so when this
<v Speaker 1>pay per view is over on Sunday night, at god
<v Speaker 1>knows what hour, I'll be live with you on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>and we'll talk about Revolution. So that's coming up on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>You get to podcasts on Sunday, get episode nine fifty
<v Speaker 1>five of the SoundOff earlier in the day, and then
<v Speaker 1>you get your Revolution review at night. See look at that.
<v Speaker 1>Aren't you excited? Just take a look at the Twitter
<v Speaker 1>pol What did you think of Dynamite in San jose
<v Speaker 1>sixty percent thumbs up for tonight's show and roughly thumbs
<v Speaker 1>down sixty forty split for Dynamite Tonight. Get those votes
<v Speaker 1>in on x at Solabonsters the place to go. Let's
<v Speaker 1>take a look at your super chats here. I thank
<v Speaker 1>those of you who have dropped one. I do appreciate it.
<v Speaker 1>It's a very slow night. We are not hitting the
<v Speaker 1>goal for be the Booker. I believe the goal was
<v Speaker 1>five twenty right, five twenty five thirty. I think it
<v Speaker 1>was five thirty. Yeah, we're about two hundred likes off,
<v Speaker 1>so it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. So I'll
<v Speaker 1>try to get you out of here. Joseph Stewart, Happy
<v Speaker 1>Wednesday to you, my friend. As you know, I'm a
<v Speaker 1>big Motu fan, so of course I'm gonna buy on
<v Speaker 1>that and the Sopranos over the Godfather. Kate Winslet has
<v Speaker 1>been cast as the female lead in The Lord of
<v Speaker 1>the Rings The Hunt for a Gollum. I can't wait
<v Speaker 1>to not watch it. I didn't make it. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>make it to the end of the first one. I
<v Speaker 1>fell asleep, so I never watched the other two or
<v Speaker 1>the Hobbit or any of the other spinoffs that there
<v Speaker 1>may have been, so I can't say I have any
<v Speaker 1>interest in it. If you do, I hope it's at
<v Speaker 1>least a quality film, but I will not be seeing it.
<v Speaker 1>I got at least five movies I'm interested in seeing
<v Speaker 1>this year, and that ain't one of them. Although I
<v Speaker 1>guess if she was just cast, I guess it's not
<v Speaker 1>coming out this year. Daniel Craig reportedly turned down the
<v Speaker 1>role of Christopher Dent, Harvey Den's father in The Batman
<v Speaker 1>Part two. You mean James Bond turned down the role
<v Speaker 1>of Christopher Dent. He was in a good movie many
<v Speaker 1>years ago called Layer Cake. I should check that out.
<v Speaker 1>Have you seen the movie Practical Magic, Nicole Kidman and
<v Speaker 1>Sandra Bullock? I have not. Have you seen the Sandra
<v Speaker 1>Bullock movie Miss Congeniality? Yes? I have. The movie Soap Dish.
<v Speaker 1>Never heard of it. A Bugs Life? I never saw
<v Speaker 1>Bugs Life. Never did Joseph. Thank you. I hope you
<v Speaker 1>have a great rest of your week. Hey, Oscar, I
<v Speaker 1>did get your message before, I guess. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>the heads up. And as far as I know, that
<v Speaker 1>account is not following me, but it has been blocked,
<v Speaker 1>So thank you the shoulder Demon. There's too many bald
<v Speaker 1>wrestlers in AW. Any more of this and I may
<v Speaker 1>have to show up next week break shoulders and make
<v Speaker 1>them humble. Well, if there's one thing that AW certainly
<v Speaker 1>does not need more of, it is injuries. So please,
<v Speaker 1>shoulder Demon, do not do that. Chicago for MBK, Fletcher
<v Speaker 1>and Speedball had Mello had a mellow dragonov vibe. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>some guys just they just click, you know, they just
<v Speaker 1>click in the ring. Cory Blake, Hey, Corey, thank you
<v Speaker 1>for the twenty I appreciate that. Hey solo, Today is
<v Speaker 1>my fortieth birthday. I wanted to ask you, besides John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>who had the best back to back years in the
<v Speaker 1>Ruthless Aggression era? My choice is Randy Orton in two
<v Speaker 1>thousand and four and two thousand and five. Would you agree?
<v Speaker 1>I would not agree. I would not agree. My choice
<v Speaker 1>would be brock Lesner two thousand and two and two
<v Speaker 1>thousand and three. That is the correct answer. Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>He had a good back to back, but he didn't
<v Speaker 1>have a brock Lesner back to back. Thank you, Corey,
<v Speaker 1>we got dev to dust. I showed you to one
<v Speaker 1>of my friends. He says, you sound like the baseball
<v Speaker 1>slash football commentator Joe Buck. Well, I think I'm more
<v Speaker 1>generally interesting and exciting than Joe Buck. Joe Buck's been
<v Speaker 1>doing this for a very long time. I appreciate the comparison,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't know. I think I'm a little more
<v Speaker 1>exciting than Joe Buck. An Arabian Night, solid episode match wise,
<v Speaker 1>but zero in ring promo segments, hyping pay per view matches. Also,
<v Speaker 1>why twelve matches on Sunday, especially with Mox and Takeshta
<v Speaker 1>going long one am finish? Well, if that happens, We're
<v Speaker 1>just gonna shut this shit down and I ain't going
<v Speaker 1>live even I have my limits. Why twelve matches? Because
<v Speaker 1>that's it's aw dude, like they can't help themselves. Of course,
<v Speaker 1>it's it's you know, every now and then or a
<v Speaker 1>big show like all In or something. Okay, fine, but
<v Speaker 1>I mean they do this shit all the time. No
<v Speaker 1>nobody should be surprised by this. But yeah, again, like
<v Speaker 1>they tried that with a press conference as far as
<v Speaker 1>a promo segment, and it just it didn't hit, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it just didn't work. And then you had all these
<v Speaker 1>you know, you had these matches up and down the
<v Speaker 1>car that were very fast paced and everything. But you know,
<v Speaker 1>it would have it would have benefited by having, like
<v Speaker 1>you said, some some more promo related stuff to really
<v Speaker 1>drive home, you know, some of the stories or or
<v Speaker 1>some of the issues between some of the parties involved,
<v Speaker 1>and that just really wasn't there. And David Wilson Layer
<v Speaker 1>Cake is in fact very underrated. Good film, good soundtrack too. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>go check that out. I don't remember what year that
<v Speaker 1>came out. I want to say that was actually right
<v Speaker 1>before he became Bond. I don't know if that's the
<v Speaker 1>film that got him noticed, but I think it might
<v Speaker 1>have come right before he was cast to be James Bond.
<v Speaker 1>Oh Man the angelic voice of Solo Monster, a voice
<v Speaker 1>from above. You know, you hey never know you get
<v Speaker 1>to the pearly gates, I might be the voice that
<v Speaker 1>you hear. Hopefully you won't find out for a while. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>next time I'm gonna be live with you will be
<v Speaker 1>on Friday. We'll be talking SmackDown. Wow, it's another Friday,
<v Speaker 1>the thirteenth, back to back months. That doesn't happen very often,
<v Speaker 1>but that's when I'll see you live for the SmackDown again.
