<v Speaker 1>Well, it is another Friday the thirteenth. It's very rare
<v Speaker 1>we get two of them back to back like this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think this happens again for a very long time.
<v Speaker 1>And it's very appropriate that what we got in the
<v Speaker 1>closing segment tonight happened on Friday the thirteenth. Actually, this
<v Speaker 1>entire show happening on this day is kind of appropriate
<v Speaker 1>given that it is Friday the thirteenth. This was a
<v Speaker 1>very scary episode of SmackDown, and one where if you
<v Speaker 1>are of the belief that by road Dog no longer
<v Speaker 1>being a part of the SmackDown creative team, that that
<v Speaker 1>was in some way going to improve the overall quality
<v Speaker 1>of SmackDown. I got bad news for you. We should
<v Speaker 1>have had Wade Barrett stand up from the announced desk.
<v Speaker 1>I'm afraid I've got some bad news. I told you
<v Speaker 1>now to expect that, but now you know. You know
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre quit on tonight's show. He has since unquit,
<v Speaker 1>but he quit on SmackDown tonight. I'm thinking about quitting
<v Speaker 1>myself after sitting through three hours of this, or I
<v Speaker 1>should say two hours and forty five minutes of this,
<v Speaker 1>because the only redeeming part of tonight's show was, in fact,
<v Speaker 1>the final fifteen minutes of the show. You don't have
<v Speaker 1>to watch anything else that happened on SmackDown tonight outside
<v Speaker 1>of the contract signing that they closed with. This was
<v Speaker 1>as just nothing happening, boring, bad television as WWE has
<v Speaker 1>put on all year. I don't know how we are
<v Speaker 1>actually getting closer to WrestleMania, and somehow the show seemed
<v Speaker 1>to be getting progressively worse. I don't understand how that works.
<v Speaker 1>I just I don't know what to say at this point.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what to say at this point. Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton and Cody Rhodes, they had a contract signing for
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania because we know what the main event, presumably of
<v Speaker 1>Night one is going to be for the WWE Championship,
<v Speaker 1>and Cody and Randy are like this right, They're like
<v Speaker 1>they're bosom buddies. Even though Randy Orton dropped him with
<v Speaker 1>an RKO and the Elimination Chamber to win the chamber
<v Speaker 1>and punch his tickets to WrestleMania, these two have known
<v Speaker 1>each other for a very long time. These two we
<v Speaker 1>have been well. A lot of people have been waiting
<v Speaker 1>to see this match, and not just a match. I
<v Speaker 1>mean we had them in the King of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>Finals previously, but an actual story behind the match, one
<v Speaker 1>that taps into the history between Cody Roads and Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>As Cody Rhades said on the show tonight, the very
<v Speaker 1>first match he had in WWWE in two thousand and seven,
<v Speaker 1>the year I started the podcast, by the way, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so far back this goes. His very first match was
<v Speaker 1>against Randy Orton, and then we know all this stuff
<v Speaker 1>with legacy and everything that came after that, right, So
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of his history there to dive into.
<v Speaker 1>We got a small little piece of it in the
<v Speaker 1>contract signing. They were being awfully nice to each other.
<v Speaker 1>They were being awfully chummy, which should have been a
<v Speaker 1>sign that something was about to go down. Cody Road
<v Speaker 1>signed the contract. Randy Orton had some trouble doing so.
<v Speaker 1>He was expecting Drew McIntyre to be in this spot,
<v Speaker 1>and Cody told him, look, when the bell rings, I
<v Speaker 1>want you to bring your best. I want the best
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton, I want the viper. I want mister Rko
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton at WrestleMania. And Randy signed the contract and
<v Speaker 1>at that point, Randy Orton. It's like as soon as
<v Speaker 1>he put pen to paper and put his signature on
<v Speaker 1>the contract, a switch got flipped all the way back
<v Speaker 1>to two thousand and nine. Randy Orton, and he attacked
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes. He kicked him in the dick. It's like
<v Speaker 1>John Cena a year ago all over again, only this
<v Speaker 1>time we got a violent, bloody angle to close out
<v Speaker 1>the show. He bloodied up Cody Rhodes. You know, and
<v Speaker 1>we don't get to see this on WWE television very often.
<v Speaker 1>So when they actually do it and you have Cody
<v Speaker 1>in this case do a blade job, and he did
<v Speaker 1>a hell of a blade job, because I mean there
<v Speaker 1>was blood all over the place, on the announced desk,
<v Speaker 1>on the floor, Randy had Cody's blood all over him
<v Speaker 1>at the end. It is more effective given that we
<v Speaker 1>don't get to see this very often here on WWE.
<v Speaker 1>It was a violent attack, right leaving no doubt that
<v Speaker 1>this was a Randy Orton heel turn. Except nobody clued
<v Speaker 1>in the fans and Phoenix to this because for the
<v Speaker 1>most part, and I don't want to make it sound
<v Speaker 1>like there were no boos at all whatsoever. When the
<v Speaker 1>angle was going on and he was beating him up.
<v Speaker 1>On the outside. There were booze, but by and large,
<v Speaker 1>especially at the end, they were cheering Randy Orton for
<v Speaker 1>nearly killing Cody Roads. At the end of this show,
<v Speaker 1>they went off the air tonight with the fans chanting
<v Speaker 1>Randy as Cody Roads laid there in a pool of
<v Speaker 1>his own blood being tended to by officials. And when
<v Speaker 1>it was over, I was very conflicted. On the one hand,
<v Speaker 1>I was very happy that we got something on this show.
<v Speaker 1>This was a bad show. You want if you want
<v Speaker 1>to talk about drumming up interest and excitement in your
<v Speaker 1>biggest event of the year, okay, you can't be putting
<v Speaker 1>out standard smackdowns. I understand that not every week the
<v Speaker 1>television show could be a home run. It's three hours
<v Speaker 1>of television that they have to write. Not every week
<v Speaker 1>is going to be a grand Slam. That's not what
<v Speaker 1>I'm saying. We are in a period right now where
<v Speaker 1>we are five weeks away from what is supposedly their
<v Speaker 1>biggest show of the year. And I mean I watched
<v Speaker 1>this show and literally two hours into the show and
<v Speaker 1>I realized we still had another hour left, not even
<v Speaker 1>two hours when we were an hour ninety minutes into
<v Speaker 1>this show, and I'm like, I'm like this, this is horrendous.
<v Speaker 1>This is horrendous. You would never know that WrestleMania was
<v Speaker 1>right around the corner. I would say that it was
<v Speaker 1>a one match show, but it wasn't even a match.
<v Speaker 1>It was a contract signing. That's all this show was.
<v Speaker 1>So I was happy to get some kind of big
<v Speaker 1>angle at the end here, right. So that was nice
<v Speaker 1>because if we didn't get that, we wouldn't have had
<v Speaker 1>nothing tonight. Okay, so that's number one. Number two. I
<v Speaker 1>like that they went the bloody, violent route. I thought
<v Speaker 1>that was effective. But I'm also watching this and going, man,
<v Speaker 1>they should have If they were gonna do this, why
<v Speaker 1>not save it until WrestleMania. I understand, you have five
<v Speaker 1>more weeks and you got to try to make things interesting,
<v Speaker 1>and there are ways that you could have done that.
<v Speaker 1>Where again, they dig a little bit into their history
<v Speaker 1>and you build the tension slowly over these next five
<v Speaker 1>weeks between these two men and get people thinking that,
<v Speaker 1>wait a minute, what something's gonna go down to WrestleMania, right,
<v Speaker 1>whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen to WrestleMania, because I
<v Speaker 1>take you back one year. I'm watching the fans here
<v Speaker 1>tonight chanting for Randy Orton right when this show was over,
<v Speaker 1>and it took me back to a year ago when
<v Speaker 1>we went through this same thing with John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhoades. As great as the initial angle was an
<v Speaker 1>elimination chamber turning John Cena heel, the heel turn did
<v Speaker 1>not work. And even when he was trying his hardest
<v Speaker 1>last year, right, he was healing on the fans and
<v Speaker 1>all you fans have treated me so badly for twenty
<v Speaker 1>five years. Right. It was fucking terrible because John Cena
<v Speaker 1>has been beloved for so many years, and it just
<v Speaker 1>felt so forced and it just didn't work. And you
<v Speaker 1>had people who knew that this was the last time
<v Speaker 1>they were going to be able to see John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>They did not want to boo that man, so it
<v Speaker 1>it didn't work. It did not work, and here we
<v Speaker 1>are again. And my fear is that they haven't learned
<v Speaker 1>the lessons of the past, and they couldn't wait until WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>They just what, we got to have a heel turn
<v Speaker 1>as soon as the contract gets signed. Somebody's got to
<v Speaker 1>go heal, and they turned Randy tonight, and now we
<v Speaker 1>have five weeks of heal Randy Orton going into WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>and it's like, man, they should have waited until Mania
<v Speaker 1>to do it, which, of course, in hindsight, I look
<v Speaker 1>at the John Cena thing and I feel the exact
<v Speaker 1>same way. I don't think that WrestleMania main event last
<v Speaker 1>year would have been as bad if they would have
<v Speaker 1>saved the actual turn for Mania, and I think it
<v Speaker 1>would have been more impactful. But that again, that's hindsight,
<v Speaker 1>and that's twenty twenty vision there. So I do wonder
<v Speaker 1>if they made a mistake by sort of jumping the
<v Speaker 1>gun and doing this tonight instead of saving it for WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>I know people are going to look at this and go,
<v Speaker 1>they turn the wrong person. They should have turned Cody Roads.
<v Speaker 1>And I've been talking about this recently, Like, again, there's
<v Speaker 1>nobody that they have on that roster right now who
<v Speaker 1>is prepared to be in that position. They have not
<v Speaker 1>gotten anybody ready to be in the Cody Road spot.
<v Speaker 1>If they wanted to turn Cody Roads or WrestleMania, I
<v Speaker 1>don't see who that person is. Okay, So that's the
<v Speaker 1>main reason why I don't see them turning Cody roads heel.
<v Speaker 1>I understand the people are going to be very disappointed
<v Speaker 1>in that they want to see Cody goheel. They're sick
<v Speaker 1>and tired of babyface Cody, corporate Cody. It's not gonna happen.
<v Speaker 1>It certainly doesn't seem like it's going to happen after
<v Speaker 1>what they did tonight. So you got to you gotta
<v Speaker 1>put that away for now. I'm just more like looking
<v Speaker 1>at this wondering if the Randy turn came too early
<v Speaker 1>and they felt like, oh, we got to do something
<v Speaker 1>to really you know, heat things up. Let's just do
<v Speaker 1>it now. Now we wait for the explanation, because why
<v Speaker 1>would Randy Orton do what he did to Cody Rhodes now? Right?
<v Speaker 1>Is it going to end up being a situation where
<v Speaker 1>we're going to get the Randy Orton promo next week
<v Speaker 1>where he talks about how you've been back in the
<v Speaker 1>company now for three years or have him many four years,
<v Speaker 1>you've been WWE champion. Because we've seen Randy Orton, and
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't be shocked if they put little clips of
<v Speaker 1>this in the eventual video package just to illustrate the
<v Speaker 1>point because I pointed this out numerous times, all of
<v Speaker 1>the different times that Randy Orton was spotted right eyeballing
<v Speaker 1>the championship and Cody would be sitting next to him
<v Speaker 1>right and he'd be looking at the bell like it
<v Speaker 1>was on his mind, and at no point did Cod
<v Speaker 1>offer to give him a championship match. It's almost it's
<v Speaker 1>almost like it's almost like the Mega Powers angle where
<v Speaker 1>if you remember when Hogan and Savage had their split,
<v Speaker 1>one of the things that Savage said to Hogan is
<v Speaker 1>that man, a man, you never came at me asking
<v Speaker 1>for a title shot. Right. Instead, Hogan was busy, you know,
<v Speaker 1>groping his wife and doing all this other stuff. But
<v Speaker 1>that was one of the things that really upset him,
<v Speaker 1>is that you never asked me for a title shot.
<v Speaker 1>Are we gonna get a similar story here where Orton
<v Speaker 1>is like, you and I have been tight. I've bet
<v Speaker 1>I've had your back, even at my own expense, because remember,
<v Speaker 1>Randy has taking beatdowns for Cody in the past, right
<v Speaker 1>from the Samoans, And is it going to be one
<v Speaker 1>of those cases where you know, you never even thought,
<v Speaker 1>you never even thought to come to me and say Hey,
<v Speaker 1>do you want a shot at this? Right? Maybe they
<v Speaker 1>could explore that as a possibility. I'm curious to see
<v Speaker 1>next week unless they do one of these things where
<v Speaker 1>Randy's like, I don't know anybody an explanation, But what
<v Speaker 1>is the explanation the rationale for him doing what he
<v Speaker 1>did tonight? Like it wasn't like Cody dropped him at
<v Speaker 1>the elimination chamber. He dropped Cody. If anybody should be upset,
<v Speaker 1>it should be Cody upset at Randy. And instead Randy
<v Speaker 1>drops him at the elimination chamber to become the number
<v Speaker 1>one contender and then he nearly destroys this man tonight.
<v Speaker 1>Why now, right, we need to get that explanation for
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton. Why was it so important for him to
<v Speaker 1>do that now? Or did he just lose his mind?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe the voices got to him. What was that condition
<v Speaker 1>that he had back in two thousand and nine? Ied?
<v Speaker 1>Or I think it was IED right in the intermittent
<v Speaker 1>explosive disorder, right, I think that's what they called it.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe his IED flared up. I don't know, but the
<v Speaker 1>timing of the heel turn is what I question right
<v Speaker 1>now as an angle, though I thought it was effective.
<v Speaker 1>Let me say this. It was effective in terms of
<v Speaker 1>the violence. Was it effective in terms of what WW
<v Speaker 1>he was going for. I don't know, just because they
<v Speaker 1>were cheering for Randy Orton when they went off the air.
<v Speaker 1>But I just feel like now we're going to be
<v Speaker 1>in a situation like we were with John Cena a
<v Speaker 1>year ago. I don't understand why it had to happen now. Now,
<v Speaker 1>maybe five weeks from now, they'll convince me that this
<v Speaker 1>was the right move, But I feel like this is
<v Speaker 1>something that should have been saved for WrestleMania, and you
<v Speaker 1>would have had people going into media wondering who's going
<v Speaker 1>to turn heel? Could it be Cody, Could it be Randy. Well,
<v Speaker 1>now you've already given the answer away unless he do
<v Speaker 1>a double turn, and I don't see them doing a
<v Speaker 1>double turn. You've already given the answer away. Now you've
<v Speaker 1>taken some of the drama away, when I think it
<v Speaker 1>would have been cool to kind of preserve that and
<v Speaker 1>keep people guessing for the next few weeks. But that
<v Speaker 1>was really, honestly, I mean, the only thing worth a
<v Speaker 1>damn on this show. I mentioned Drew McIntyre him quitting.
<v Speaker 1>He was very upset about being screwed out of the
<v Speaker 1>champion or in his mind, being screwed out of the championship.
<v Speaker 1>He quit, and then of course he came back before
<v Speaker 1>the show was over to attack Jacob Fatu, which sets
<v Speaker 1>up not a WrestleMania match, it sets up a SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>match for next Friday, and we'll get into that. We
<v Speaker 1>also had more MFTs and White six nonsense lantern stuff
<v Speaker 1>here on I you know, I watched this show and
<v Speaker 1>tonight was one of those nights. It is physically painful,
<v Speaker 1>it is. It is. I get pains, like stomach pains
<v Speaker 1>sometimes when I watch these shows. I don't know. Like
<v Speaker 1>we had a few weeks ago where they got the
<v Speaker 1>lantern back, right, made you think that maybe we finally
<v Speaker 1>reached the climax here Uncle Howdie got the wind over
<v Speaker 1>Solo Sokoa, just for Talatanga to steal the lantern back.
<v Speaker 1>This must continue. So then we have a tag team
<v Speaker 1>match tonight and again the White they win. The Babyfaces
<v Speaker 1>have now won twice, now twice. Now usually in an
<v Speaker 1>extended feud like this, you're building to the baby Faces
<v Speaker 1>to get the win. Right, They've won twice and they
<v Speaker 1>got the lantern back, but then Toma Tonga steals the
<v Speaker 1>lantern back. They're gonna drag this shit out until WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>because of course, they have nothing else for either one
<v Speaker 1>of these factions to be doing other than to continue
<v Speaker 1>to feud with each other, and they'll build some kind
<v Speaker 1>of match of WrestleMania and the lantern will be returned
<v Speaker 1>to the Wyatt family. In the meantime, we have five
<v Speaker 1>more weeks of this shit. It's just it is awful television,
<v Speaker 1>just brutal, brutal. The Bella Twins were back. They're getting
<v Speaker 1>a tag team championship match next week and a WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure, but yes, they were back Tonight's they're getting
<v Speaker 1>their match, and Jelly Roll was on the show because
<v Speaker 1>we got to have our obligatory celebrity appearance to WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>So now jelly Roll is back and clearly they are
<v Speaker 1>building to something a match for him at WrestleMania. I'll
<v Speaker 1>say this, Jelly Roll is a better promo than most wrestlers.
<v Speaker 1>He's pretty good at that. He's pretty good at that.
<v Speaker 1>Do I need to see Jelly Roll and the mizz
<v Speaker 1>wrestling of WrestleMania? No? I do not, but it looks
<v Speaker 1>like that's where we're headed after the angle that they
<v Speaker 1>shot here on this show tonight. I do want to
<v Speaker 1>show you a sign. This is a sign that was
<v Speaker 1>in the crowd on their own show tonight. This was
<v Speaker 1>caught on television. Triple H has no fresh ideas. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't say it, but that man right, well, actually, I
<v Speaker 1>can't see who's holding this sign. I can't see if
<v Speaker 1>that's a guy or a girl, but whoever's holding that
<v Speaker 1>sign up, Triple H has no fresh ideas. That's exactly
<v Speaker 1>what I felt after watching the MFTs and why at
<v Speaker 1>six stuff. I can't say that I disagree with that sentiment.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>to say. I knew when SmackDown went back to three
<v Speaker 1>hours that this show was going to be brutal. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't know it was going to be this bad. I really,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I try to find the good in these
<v Speaker 1>shows where I can, and normally this time of year
<v Speaker 1>is very exciting and we're getting ready for the big show.
<v Speaker 1>It's like the super Bowl is around the corner, and
<v Speaker 1>I feel like, honestly, I feel like we're building to
<v Speaker 1>like fucking bragging rights. I mean, we're building to like
<v Speaker 1>Clash at the Castle or something. What are we doing here?
<v Speaker 1>This is fucking horrendous. This is your Friday the thirteenth
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown review. I can subscribe. That's are open. Appreciate all
<v Speaker 1>the support. Boy do I need some support after watching
<v Speaker 1>some of these shows. I'll be reading your messages as
<v Speaker 1>we go along here. There is some wrestling coming up
<v Speaker 1>this weekend. In case you were wondering, Texas Death is
<v Speaker 1>coming for MJF and I am going to be live
<v Speaker 1>for the aw Revolution review that will be on Sunday night.
<v Speaker 1>Will be a very late night on Sunday. But if
<v Speaker 1>you thought the ending of SmackDown tonight was violent and bloody,
<v Speaker 1>oh boy, you just wait, you just wait. You're gonna
<v Speaker 1>get that in the first probably thirty seconds of this match.
<v Speaker 1>And I saw that Tony Kahn actually just tweeted their
<v Speaker 1>revolution if it hasn't already a revolution, he claims, is
<v Speaker 1>expected to sell out, well, should specify sell out of
<v Speaker 1>their allotment to tickets. They're at the Crypto dot Com Arena.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure that's like a twenty thousand seat building
<v Speaker 1>thing getting twenty thousand people in that building. But if
<v Speaker 1>they get eleven thousand, that's a healthy crowd, so good
<v Speaker 1>for them. Anyway, that'll be on Sunday night. Let's spin
<v Speaker 1>the wheel find out how many likes we need for
<v Speaker 1>be the booker tonight. Let's take aver a spin. Four
<v Speaker 1>sixty five is the magic number for tonight. That is
<v Speaker 1>how many likes we need as the likes minimum for tonight,
<v Speaker 1>four hundred and sixty five likes. So you guys know
<v Speaker 1>what to do. We didn't get there on Wednesday, see
<v Speaker 1>if we can get there tonight. But boy, oh man,
<v Speaker 1>this show is a struggle, let me tell you. And
<v Speaker 1>I know I'm not the only one who feels that
<v Speaker 1>way because you were. You were commiserating with each other
<v Speaker 1>in the live chat. I was dropping in and I
<v Speaker 1>could feel your pain. It's just so lifeless. It's just
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, man, I don't know. Drew McIntyre start
<v Speaker 1>from the beginning here. Drew McIntyre was not happy about
<v Speaker 1>what happened last week. We got a lot to talk
<v Speaker 1>about here in this review. Drew McIntyre lost his WWE
<v Speaker 1>championship to Cody Rhodes, so he came out of the
<v Speaker 1>crowd to kick things off, and he was calling on
<v Speaker 1>Nick all this to come on out and make things right.
<v Speaker 1>Said that instead of protecting your golden boy, Cody Rhodes,
<v Speaker 1>come on out here and fix this. So all this
<v Speaker 1>walked out, got into the ring and he said there's
<v Speaker 1>nothing to make right, said that you headbutted a referee
<v Speaker 1>last week. These are the consequences of your own actions.
<v Speaker 1>And Drew said, yes, aside from Jacob getting involved, you
<v Speaker 1>and me we had a deal. Cody didn't win the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble, Cody didn't win the elimination chamber. Therefore Cody
<v Speaker 1>should not be getting a shot at the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 1>He called all this a corporate stooge, and all this
<v Speaker 1>called it rich that McIntyre comes out and complains about
<v Speaker 1>getting screwed when he screwed Cody out of the championship
<v Speaker 1>multiple times. So listen up. Drew did everything he could
<v Speaker 1>to prevent Cody from getting a fair shot, and now
<v Speaker 1>he understands why because the first time you did, he
<v Speaker 1>beat you. So all this was in the ring saying this.
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre was standing on top of the announced desk and
<v Speaker 1>at that point Drew jumped down. He got into the ring,
<v Speaker 1>he got right up in all this his face. He
<v Speaker 1>called this bullshit and he said that all this is
<v Speaker 1>going to make this right or else. So that brought
<v Speaker 1>out Jacob Faugh too. So now all three men were
<v Speaker 1>in the ring, and he said fix what. He said
<v Speaker 1>that Drew never would have even been the champion if
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't for me. He fixed the situation last week.
<v Speaker 1>So Drew McIntyre is no longer WWE champion. So this
<v Speaker 1>isn't about all this, This isn't about Cody or anybody else.
<v Speaker 1>As Jacob was doing his promo, he was getting chance
<v Speaker 1>of what from the crowd says, So Drew's pointing fingers
<v Speaker 1>at everybody else. He's pointing fingers at the referee. He's
<v Speaker 1>pointing fingers in Nick all this. But let's keep it real.
<v Speaker 1>I'm the one that screwed your ass. So what the
<v Speaker 1>hell is Drew going to do about it? And Drew
<v Speaker 1>said what am I going to do about it? He said,
<v Speaker 1>you and Nick and Cody and all of these people,
<v Speaker 1>I'm done with it. And he walked right up to
<v Speaker 1>Nick all this and he told him I quit. And
<v Speaker 1>with that he left the ring and he exited through
<v Speaker 1>the crowd. So If this sounds awfully familiar to you,
<v Speaker 1>then it should for good reason if it's deja vus
<v Speaker 1>that you're getting, Because this is not the first time
<v Speaker 1>that Drew McIntyre has uttered the words I quit. I
<v Speaker 1>don't mean in an I quit match. They ran the
<v Speaker 1>same angle two years ago with him in cmpunk where
<v Speaker 1>he quit the company. I quit. That was in twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty four. They ran the same angle with him again
<v Speaker 1>here in twenty twenty six. So I guess every year
<v Speaker 1>or two we're gonna have Drew McIntyre come out and
<v Speaker 1>quit when he doesn't get his way. Actually, this was
<v Speaker 1>more akin to what Brett Hart did in nineteen ninety seven.
<v Speaker 1>If we're being perfectly honest. Brett Hart came out after
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble. Remember Stone Cold Steve Austin screwed him
<v Speaker 1>out of a win in the Rumble, and Sean Michaels
<v Speaker 1>had screwed him the month before out of winning the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Championship. He got screwed by Sean, he got screwed
<v Speaker 1>by Austin. He looked at Vince mcmahony, goes, I quit.
<v Speaker 1>If I'm not getting a title match, I quit, And
<v Speaker 1>before the night was even over. He was already back.
<v Speaker 1>And the same thing happened tonight with Drew mcintarry before
<v Speaker 1>this show was even over. He had already unquit and
<v Speaker 1>come back. He's the modern day Brett Hart. Only Brett
<v Speaker 1>had more time with the belt than Drew did. He
<v Speaker 1>had he had more rains with it than Drew did.
<v Speaker 1>But that's basically what this was like. We'll get back
<v Speaker 1>to Drew MacIntyre later. This was not the last time
<v Speaker 1>that we would see him here on this show. We
<v Speaker 1>go to the back and we see Solo Socoa in
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs and they're discussing strategy and he says that
<v Speaker 1>to him and Talatanga, they're gonna be taken on Uncle
<v Speaker 1>Howdie and Eric Rowan because this is the feud that
<v Speaker 1>will not die. Solo asked Tomatoga, watch over the stolen lantern.
<v Speaker 1>This is your responsibility tonight to make sure you are
<v Speaker 1>the protector of the lantern. And so everybody but Tomatanga leaves.
<v Speaker 1>He's standing there with the lantern and he can sense
<v Speaker 1>someone's presence behind him and when he turns around, their
<v Speaker 1>Shinsky Nakamore. This is apparently his only role on the
<v Speaker 1>show is to torment Tomatonga every single week, and he
<v Speaker 1>looks at Tomatonga and again he once again asked him,
<v Speaker 1>when are you going to be your own man? But
<v Speaker 1>Solo Sekoo walks back in and he warns, Knocka Morris,
<v Speaker 1>stay the hell away before you get hurt. So after
<v Speaker 1>a break, Jacob Fatu was with Nick Alldis. He was
<v Speaker 1>not happy that Drew McIntyre just up and quit right
<v Speaker 1>when he was about to whoop, and before he could
<v Speaker 1>finish what he was going to say, Trick Williams interrupted
<v Speaker 1>and Jacob wasn't very happy about that he'd chewed him out.
<v Speaker 1>Trick was upset about being disrespected by Fatu and then
<v Speaker 1>last week by Randy Orton, and he told Nick Aldas,
<v Speaker 1>do your job. And so all this did, and he said, well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna make a match right now. It's going to
<v Speaker 1>be you and Jacob Fatu later on tonight. So we
<v Speaker 1>got an impromptu match here on this show. But after this,
<v Speaker 1>unfortunately pain, I feel pain. We had Solo Socoa and
<v Speaker 1>Talatoga against Uncle Howdie and Eric Rowan. When I saw
<v Speaker 1>this in the preview, I cried on the inside, and
<v Speaker 1>when it was over, I cried more you'll know why
<v Speaker 1>here in a second. It went through a break to
<v Speaker 1>complete and total apathy. Here from the crowd in Phoenix,
<v Speaker 1>Solo tagged in. He tried to hit Sister Abigail on Howdy.
<v Speaker 1>He got reversed though into a back suplex. So they
<v Speaker 1>each tagged out and the big guys came in, Eric
<v Speaker 1>Rowan Talatonga. They went at it for a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Rowan got him up on his shoulders. Solo, though blind,
<v Speaker 1>tagged back in. That allowed Talatoga to escape anyway. Solo
<v Speaker 1>tried to hit a big Samoan splash Eric Rowan, though
<v Speaker 1>got the knees up. Howdy tagged in. He attempted Sister Abigail,
<v Speaker 1>but that got countered into a Samoan spike and Rowan
<v Speaker 1>broke up. The subsequent count he and Taalatanga they took
<v Speaker 1>each other out of ringsight, so at this point things
<v Speaker 1>broke down outside with the Wyatts and the MFTs. Solo
<v Speaker 1>went to the floor. He took out Dexter Loomis and
<v Speaker 1>Joe Gacy with samo and spikes, and as Solo got
<v Speaker 1>back in the ring, he had Howdie imposition for a spike.
<v Speaker 1>When he looked over and the lantern was unguarded sitting
<v Speaker 1>there on the apron and Nicki Cross, who I'm pretty
<v Speaker 1>sure has not wrestled the match at about six years.
<v Speaker 1>At this point, I don't even know if she would
<v Speaker 1>remember how to wrestle. But she slowly walks over towards
<v Speaker 1>the lantern and Solo is looking at point, don't you dare?
<v Speaker 1>And she takes possession of the urn and I'm thinking
<v Speaker 1>it or the land, whatever the fuck it is the lantern,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm thinking to myself, this is great. Yes, Nicky, run, run,
<v Speaker 1>take it and go right. And she starts to make
<v Speaker 1>off with the lantern, and that distraction opened up Solo
<v Speaker 1>to Sister Abigail from Uncle Howdie, who picks up the
<v Speaker 1>win for his team. And this actually got a reaction. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I would like to think that this whole finishing sequence
<v Speaker 1>here got a reaction because the people like me were
<v Speaker 1>so happy that this was finally over. They were overjoyed,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm thinking, thank god, it's finally over. The Babyfaces
<v Speaker 1>have won again and they have taken possession of the lantern.
<v Speaker 1>My joy, however, was short lived, because after the match,
<v Speaker 1>as Howdy took possession of the lantern, he got blasted
<v Speaker 1>from behind by Tomatonga with a hidden blade, and Tomatoga
<v Speaker 1>took possession back of the lantern. The fucking MFTs took
<v Speaker 1>the lantern back and they retreated to the back. They
<v Speaker 1>are going to drag this shit all the way out
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle Mania, and now I'm just left to wonder
<v Speaker 1>what kind of a match are they going to have?
<v Speaker 1>Is it going to involve solo? And howdy? Is it
<v Speaker 1>going to involve all the members of both factions? What
<v Speaker 1>could they possibly? Are they going to suspend the lantern
<v Speaker 1>above the ring and have a ladder match between the
<v Speaker 1>two factions, or better yet, maybe we could have a
<v Speaker 1>lantern on a pole. We could have a pole match
<v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania. I can honestly sit here and tell you,
<v Speaker 1>and again I say it every week. This is not
<v Speaker 1>a knock on any of the individual performers in this
<v Speaker 1>I fucking hate this storyline. I am so done with
<v Speaker 1>this and the fact that they are going to drag
<v Speaker 1>this out all the way to WrestleMania makes me sick
<v Speaker 1>because this is just one of those things where it's
<v Speaker 1>so it is so lazy. This has been going on
<v Speaker 1>for so long, it is the most just surface level,
<v Speaker 1>bare bones form of storytelling that you could possibly think of,
<v Speaker 1>that this is the best thing that they could come
<v Speaker 1>up with, and they think this makes for good television.
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand it. I just don't. The Babyfaces have
<v Speaker 1>now been successful two separate occasions, and they have taken
<v Speaker 1>possession back of the Lantern, only for the Heels to
<v Speaker 1>just take it back so that we can drag this
<v Speaker 1>out and prolong this even more. For all of the
<v Speaker 1>time that they have now devoted to this feud, literal
<v Speaker 1>months and months of this, They've gotten very little return
<v Speaker 1>on their investment because every single time that some combination
<v Speaker 1>of these guys are in the ring together, they are
<v Speaker 1>just wrestling to no reaction. They are wrestling to crickets
<v Speaker 1>and nobody cares. There was no engagement from the crowd.
<v Speaker 1>There was no back and forth except for the finish,
<v Speaker 1>where again people were just happy it was over with.
<v Speaker 1>It's not just me watching from home on television. I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching the same fucking show that everybody else is watching,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm paying very close attention to whether the fans
<v Speaker 1>are engaged. I'm thinking, maybe I'm just weird, Maybe it's
<v Speaker 1>just me. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm not,
<v Speaker 1>But I'm not. Nobody seems to care about this. Why
<v Speaker 1>are we still doing this? We go backstage, Damian Priest
<v Speaker 1>is talking to Our Truth. They had just gotten done
<v Speaker 1>watching what we all watched. Sorry for them. Our Truth
<v Speaker 1>was wearing a stone cold Steve Austin T shirt as
<v Speaker 1>we get ready for three sixteen Day. He has not
<v Speaker 1>officially been announced for three sixteen Day, but it'll be
<v Speaker 1>very disappointing if he's not there on the show. He'll
<v Speaker 1>be on Busted Open Radio by the way, Monday morning,
<v Speaker 1>so I'm sure Lugreca and then we'll ask him point blank,
<v Speaker 1>are you going to be on raw tonight? Otherwise what
<v Speaker 1>the hell is the point of even doing the interview?
<v Speaker 1>They so Truth thought the MFTs were the Judgment Day,
<v Speaker 1>and so Damian Priest had to correct him and tell
<v Speaker 1>him that's not the Judgment Day. Priest said that when
<v Speaker 1>they face those guys, though, they will become the WWE
<v Speaker 1>Tag Team Champions. Who are the tag team Champions? Who
<v Speaker 1>are the tag team champions on this show? Oh it's
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs? Thank god? Oh my god. They're feuding over
<v Speaker 1>the lantern. I totally forgot they have belts. Anyway, Los
<v Speaker 1>Scarzis shows up. They complained about Priest and Truth stealing
<v Speaker 1>the win after all they did talking about the match
<v Speaker 1>last week, after all the hard work and the gauntlet
<v Speaker 1>match that they put in, and Priest just remembered taking
<v Speaker 1>them out quickly during that match, and then he said,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, I'm going to go talk to Nick
<v Speaker 1>all this and I'm going to make a match between
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to make a match between the four of
<v Speaker 1>us tonight. Yeah. Hey, look, yeah, I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>to tell you. When that feud is so focused on
<v Speaker 1>a lantern, it is hard to remember that the actual
<v Speaker 1>tag team championships are involved as well, because the titles
<v Speaker 1>have taken a back seat to the lantern. The lantern
<v Speaker 1>is really the subject of this entire storyline, this whole
<v Speaker 1>feud between them. It really doesn't have anything to do
<v Speaker 1>with the tag team titles, and the tag team division
<v Speaker 1>fucking sucks on this show, so it's easy to just
<v Speaker 1>forget about the tag team titles altogether. Can't blame me
<v Speaker 1>for that. Jade Cargill, the WWE Women's Champion, took on
<v Speaker 1>Meechen tonight non title. Before the match, they cut to
<v Speaker 1>comments that this was very weird. So they cut the
<v Speaker 1>comments backstage earlier from Julia and Keana James, and they
<v Speaker 1>were directed towards Tiffany Stratton. Keana said that Tiffany talks
<v Speaker 1>a big game, and Julia asked, Tiffany, do you really
<v Speaker 1>think that you could take this US title from me?
<v Speaker 1>And I was very confused and I was racking my Now.
<v Speaker 1>I was not here last week, although I did go
<v Speaker 1>back and skim the important part of the show. I
<v Speaker 1>was at House Glory last week. But correct me if
<v Speaker 1>I'm wrong. Was there a segment or a promo recently
<v Speaker 1>on the show where Tiffany Stratton said something about Julia
<v Speaker 1>and Keanna James. The only time I could remember any
<v Speaker 1>real interaction with them or maybe a mention of the
<v Speaker 1>US title was back in October when they bumped into
<v Speaker 1>each other backstage. So I'm watching this and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>this felt like something that was kind of forced in there,
<v Speaker 1>because clearly the direction for WrestleMania is going to be
<v Speaker 1>Julia and Tiffany Stratton. And they were like, well, we
<v Speaker 1>got to do something here. But they're talking like Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>had just cut a promo on them last week, or
<v Speaker 1>had done something to disrespect them last week? Did I
<v Speaker 1>miss something here? I mean, am I just totally out
<v Speaker 1>to lunch on this particular storyline or are they just
<v Speaker 1>pretending that something they're manufacturing something that doesn't exist. It
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't shock me because with the way this WrestleMania build
<v Speaker 1>has been going, if they just fucking rushed it and
<v Speaker 1>forced it. But I was like, what are they talking about?
<v Speaker 1>So Michen attacked right away, and she even caught Jade
<v Speaker 1>with a suicide dive outside the ring, only for Jade
<v Speaker 1>to just basically no sell it, come right back and
<v Speaker 1>mow her down with a pump kick, and she took
<v Speaker 1>over on offense. So Jade gave her a fallaway slam
<v Speaker 1>on the floor outside and she kicked up into a
<v Speaker 1>commercial break and it ended the way that you would expect.
<v Speaker 1>Jade licked her and then gave her a choke slam
<v Speaker 1>and then finished her off with the for the win.
<v Speaker 1>As Jade matches go, there was really nothing technically bad
<v Speaker 1>about it. I thought as a match it was fine.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he didn't have any heat, but outside of
<v Speaker 1>that it was okay. Wasn't a squash or anything. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>they gave Meechen more offense than you would expect. So
<v Speaker 1>when the match was over, Kathy Kelly got in the
<v Speaker 1>ring to interview Jade, and Jade very rudely snatched the
<v Speaker 1>microphone out of her hand told her to get lost,
<v Speaker 1>and Jade said, you know, the whole world thinks that
<v Speaker 1>I should be scared of one woman, Rhea Ripley. She
<v Speaker 1>said that she hasn't been afraid of anything her entire life.
<v Speaker 1>She promised to beat Ripley at WrestleMania and that she
<v Speaker 1>would always be on top, and that brought out Rhea
<v Speaker 1>Ripley and Jade bailed outside. At that point, Rhea got
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and Rhea said that at WrestleMania, Jade
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't be that, she wouldn't be a she would be
<v Speaker 1>her bitch. Is it really deep stuff? There? Really really
<v Speaker 1>deep stuff here in this promo. Five weeks they have
<v Speaker 1>five weeks to really try to put some heat on this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how they do it. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how they do If this is what we're doing here,
<v Speaker 1>We're every week they're just gonna say I'm that bitch. No,
<v Speaker 1>I'm that bitch, you know what, I'm half expecting that,
<v Speaker 1>like Vince McMahon is secretly texting Triple H stuff and
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna or Bruce and we're gonna get a pose
<v Speaker 1>down between them. That would totally be a Vince segment.
<v Speaker 1>I'm waiting for the pose down between the Remember the
<v Speaker 1>Triple H and Scott Steiner posed down back in the day. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>outside of like Jade doing something dastardly to EO Sky
<v Speaker 1>as a way to get it Rhea, and I'd rather
<v Speaker 1>not because Leo should have her own dedicated storyline and
<v Speaker 1>match that she's preparing for for WrestleMania Oscar. Outside of
<v Speaker 1>her doing something like that, I'm not even sure honestly
<v Speaker 1>what they can do because clearly on the promo side,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they're not leaning into any of the social
<v Speaker 1>media stuff from last week, and on the promo side,
<v Speaker 1>there ain't much there. There really isn't, you know. But again,
<v Speaker 1>if she did something the EOEO obviously is best friends
<v Speaker 1>with Rhea, they've established this, that would be something. But
<v Speaker 1>you know, I wouldn't want her to do something that
<v Speaker 1>takes you know, EO out of WrestleMania or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>He has rude and the Warrior forgot about that one too.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe Jade will crack one of those workout bars across
<v Speaker 1>Rhea's back. They'll have like a push up contest. Jade
<v Speaker 1>was doing push ups in the middle of her match
<v Speaker 1>with meechin tonight. I'm telling you we're gonna be getting
<v Speaker 1>some kind of pose down type segment soon. You watch,
<v Speaker 1>you watch. Cody Rhodes was backstage. She was chatting with
<v Speaker 1>Nick all This about the contract signing later with Randy.
<v Speaker 1>Orton said that day, I looked the contract over and
<v Speaker 1>everything looks to be in order. So all This left
<v Speaker 1>and said, I'll see you out there. Sammy's ain't showed up.
<v Speaker 1>He's been stalking this man for weeks. Everywhere Cody goes,
<v Speaker 1>he turns and there he is. I mean, he's like
<v Speaker 1>Cody's Dan Housen, where he just turns around and he's there.
<v Speaker 1>So Sammy said, look, I don't want to make a
<v Speaker 1>big thing about this. I just want to congratulate you.
<v Speaker 1>You went out and did exactly what you said you
<v Speaker 1>were gonna do. You won the championship back last week,
<v Speaker 1>so I just wanted to congratulate you for it. Cody, though,
<v Speaker 1>he goes, look, I don't want to fight with you.
<v Speaker 1>But he knows that Sammy said the same thing to
<v Speaker 1>Randy right congratulating him after he won the elimination chamber,
<v Speaker 1>so he says, Sammy deserves a title shot. You need
<v Speaker 1>to stop beating around the bush and just come out
<v Speaker 1>with it. So Sammy is offended by these comments, says
<v Speaker 1>he gave Randy respect because he admires him. He looks
<v Speaker 1>up to Randy. He doesn't look up to Cody, but
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't look up to Cody because they're friends. He says,
<v Speaker 1>as friends, they're supposed to be equals. Cody might be
<v Speaker 1>champion again, but Sammy still thinks that they're equals and
<v Speaker 1>he shouldn't be spoken down to. So Cody says he
<v Speaker 1>would uh. He looks up to Sammy, he's inspired by him,
<v Speaker 1>and Sammy might not look up to him, and that's fine,
<v Speaker 1>but all he has to do is look at the title.
<v Speaker 1>So Cody leaves and Sammy has another meltdown before Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black and Zelina Vegas show up, and Black wonders if
<v Speaker 1>the title just might not be meant for Sammy, and
<v Speaker 1>that really pisses Sammy off, and he gets up in
<v Speaker 1>his face and Sammy tells him stay away. From me.
<v Speaker 1>It is. It's actually hilarious to me that they have
<v Speaker 1>literally literally taken the carrying cross and scarlet gimmick and
<v Speaker 1>just transfer it's Alistair blackens like they're not even hiding it,
<v Speaker 1>like it is literally the same thing. I just I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I guess they felt, you know what, we
<v Speaker 1>don't really need to spend the money on the same act,
<v Speaker 1>so we already got these guys under contract and we'll
<v Speaker 1>just do it with them. Instead of having four, we
<v Speaker 1>only have to pay two. I don't know, It's just
<v Speaker 1>it's so funny to me. I mean, there's nothing different
<v Speaker 1>about it. There is nothing different about it. Oh man. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>And then and then Black says, fight me, fight me.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure if this is really all that much
<v Speaker 1>better than him sitting in a dark room for six
<v Speaker 1>weeks all those years ago, because he shows up for
<v Speaker 1>like ten seconds and that's it. Now he does have
<v Speaker 1>a win over Randy Orton. Remember that Randy Orton is
<v Speaker 1>the number one contend for the WWE Championship. He is
<v Speaker 1>going to be in one of the WrestleMania main events.
<v Speaker 1>Are they going to circle back around to the fact
<v Speaker 1>that Alistair Black has a win over him at some point,
<v Speaker 1>especially if Randy wins the title of WrestleMania, Alistair Black
<v Speaker 1>should show up the very next week on smack then
<v Speaker 1>and go, hey, where's my title shot? I got to
<v Speaker 1>win over the champion. I want my title shot. We
<v Speaker 1>had Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Naya Jackson Lash legend.
<v Speaker 1>This was for the women's tag team titles. The Bella Twins. Ugh,
<v Speaker 1>this goes from bad tours. The Bella Twins come out
<v Speaker 1>to the ring before the match and they addressed the
<v Speaker 1>crowd and the sisters Bella said that it felt good
<v Speaker 1>to be back on SmackDown, and the reason they're here
<v Speaker 1>was that they were next in line for the women's
<v Speaker 1>tag team title. I guess they said it, so that
<v Speaker 1>makes it true. I guess. I okay, sure, why not?
<v Speaker 1>So they said they're gonna be sitting at ringside to observe.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna be scouting the competition tonight. So Bliss tried
<v Speaker 1>to go for a diving cannon ball off the apron.
<v Speaker 1>Nya caught her and slammed her on the ring apron.
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte then dropped Nya with a dive, Lash took her
<v Speaker 1>out with a big Boot and then they took another
<v Speaker 1>commercial break, and it literally felt like they had just
<v Speaker 1>come back from commercial like two minutes early. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>time it with my stopwatch, but I'm like, didn't they
<v Speaker 1>just take a commercial? And then the match just started
<v Speaker 1>and they're already back to going to a commercial. And
<v Speaker 1>then I realized something. And this has been something I
<v Speaker 1>realized for a while, but it really hit me watching
<v Speaker 1>this sh tonight. And I've I've watched WWE for most
<v Speaker 1>of my life at this point, okay, well over thirty years,
<v Speaker 1>so I've seen a lot of WWE television. I've seen
<v Speaker 1>a lot of commercials, right, a lot of commercial breaks
<v Speaker 1>on these shows. But one thing I can honestly, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm not even trying to be funny. I'm not joking
<v Speaker 1>or being facetious or anything when I say this, If
<v Speaker 1>you watch these shows live that goes for raw and
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown SmackDown, probably more so because it's three hours instead
<v Speaker 1>of two and a half on Netflix. If you watch
<v Speaker 1>these WWE shows live today in twenty twenty six, the
<v Speaker 1>live viewing experience has never been worse. It is as
<v Speaker 1>bad today as it has been in the thirty plus
<v Speaker 1>years that I have been watching this product. H it's
<v Speaker 1>very appropriate, but that's a pop up just now, thank
<v Speaker 1>you Tuxedo. But in all seriousness, I mean the live
<v Speaker 1>viewing experience is horrendous. Now. I watch the shows live, right.
<v Speaker 1>I choose to because obviously I come on here with
<v Speaker 1>you guys when the show is over and we talk
<v Speaker 1>about it. So I don't have the luxury if this
<v Speaker 1>is what I intend to do, and this is what
<v Speaker 1>I do, this is my job. Obviously, I don't have
<v Speaker 1>the luxury of just being like, eh, i'll watch it tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>I'll watch it in bits and pieces throughout the week.
<v Speaker 1>That's how I used to watch Monday Night Raw there
<v Speaker 1>for a while, because remember I used to talk about
<v Speaker 1>the key stuff on Raw on the following Sunday Sound
<v Speaker 1>of I didn't really start going live with the Raw
<v Speaker 1>reviews on Monday Night until Vince left. When Vince left,
<v Speaker 1>I said, Okay, let's give this a shot. I'm already
<v Speaker 1>covering Dynamite Live and SmackDown. Let's throw Monday in there.
<v Speaker 1>That's really where that started. But what I would do
<v Speaker 1>sometimes is because I knew I had the whole week
<v Speaker 1>to get through it. And you know, before I talked
<v Speaker 1>about it on the Sound of I would sometimes it
<v Speaker 1>would take me, sometimes three four five days to get
<v Speaker 1>through an entire episode of Raw, because there were weeks
<v Speaker 1>where Raw was pretty fucking rough. But if you watch
<v Speaker 1>these shows live, the way they throw these commercial breaks
<v Speaker 1>in there and during the matches, it's not even just
<v Speaker 1>in between the matches, it's in the middle of the
<v Speaker 1>fucking match so many fucking times. I don't I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it's it's it's horrendous. It's horrendous. The viewing experience has
<v Speaker 1>never ever been as bad as it is right now.
<v Speaker 1>It's terrible. I don't know why. I don't know how
<v Speaker 1>anybody who doesn't do this stomachs it, or why they
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't just wait until the next day or some other
<v Speaker 1>time and just, you know, fast forward through and just
<v Speaker 1>watch what they want to watch. It's awful, absolutely awful.
<v Speaker 1>So later on, Charlotte tried to move from the apron,
<v Speaker 1>she got caught into a Samoan drop for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Nya dragged Charlotte over to the corner she was looking
<v Speaker 1>for the annihilator. Charlotte moved out of the way, followed
<v Speaker 1>that with the moon Salt legend broke up the pin
<v Speaker 1>but then fell victim to a tornado DDT from Bliss.
<v Speaker 1>So outside the ring, Charlotte and Nya were going at it,
<v Speaker 1>and it all ended with Nya pulling Nicki Bella out
<v Speaker 1>of her chair into harm's way as Charlotte came in
<v Speaker 1>with a big boot, so she inadvertently booted Nicki down
<v Speaker 1>to the ground. Back in the ring flare connected with
<v Speaker 1>natural selection, Alexa went up top. She was going to
<v Speaker 1>go for twisted Bliss, but Breee Bella gets into the
<v Speaker 1>ring and attacks Nya Jacks for the disqualification. Referee calls
<v Speaker 1>for the bell and after the match was over, Nya
<v Speaker 1>and Lash they laid everybody out and they stood tall,
<v Speaker 1>and I just I wrote one word here in my
<v Speaker 1>notes at the end of this chapter here, ug. That's it.
<v Speaker 1>That's all I wrote, UG, because what else is there
<v Speaker 1>to say. Now? Obviously they're building to a multi team
<v Speaker 1>match of WrestleMania. That much is clear. Although later on
<v Speaker 1>in the back, when the Bellas confronted Charlotte and Alexa,
<v Speaker 1>they let them know we talked to all this and
<v Speaker 1>we're up next, and it was announced that the Bella
<v Speaker 1>twins are going to be getting a Tag Team Championship
<v Speaker 1>match next week on SmackDown. Now. I'm sure Charlotte and
<v Speaker 1>Alexa will be sitting ringside as observers watching their match
<v Speaker 1>next week, and we'll get a very similar angle, and
<v Speaker 1>this will all lead to multi team Madnissent Mania for
<v Speaker 1>the tag belt. At least with Charlotte and Alexa and
<v Speaker 1>the Bella Twins against Nay and Lash. They could end
<v Speaker 1>up throwing one or two more teams in there. You
<v Speaker 1>know who knows. We can get Bailey and Lyra as
<v Speaker 1>a team, Raquel and Rock Sam. I mean, there's any
<v Speaker 1>number of teams that you could throw in there. You
<v Speaker 1>want to have five, six teams in there, turn it
<v Speaker 1>into a ladder match if you won't, I'm not asking
<v Speaker 1>for that. I'm just saying it could end up being
<v Speaker 1>more than just those three teams. But this is very
<v Speaker 1>clearly leading to something of media. So whatever's going to
<v Speaker 1>happen next week is going to be very similar to
<v Speaker 1>what happened tonight. That seems to be the direction here.
<v Speaker 1>We go backstage and we see Jelly Roll is back
<v Speaker 1>there and he's chatting with Damian Priest in Our Truth,
<v Speaker 1>and after that, Jelly Roll spots his old friend Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>He goes over to Randy and they're exchanging pleasantries with
<v Speaker 1>each other. And I'm gonna be on Miss TV. What
<v Speaker 1>do you recommend? And Orton says, well, if the miss
<v Speaker 1>is a waxing on for too long, you should drop
<v Speaker 1>his ass. That was his advice. But I'm watching this
<v Speaker 1>and I'm going, why is Jelly Roll here? I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I know they love their celebrities, and Jelly's cool, you know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean when he was in that match at Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slim last year, right, he did his part and I
<v Speaker 1>thought he did very well. I can't say that I'm
<v Speaker 1>excited to see him in the way that I would
<v Speaker 1>be excited if they were bringing Bad Bunny back, because
<v Speaker 1>Bad Bunny had a genuinely great fucking singles match with
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest once upon a time. I wouldn't mind seeing
<v Speaker 1>him back. But I get why they want them on
<v Speaker 1>the shows, right. They're very popular music artists, millions of downloads.
<v Speaker 1>Jelly Roll just won three Grammy Awards, WrestleMania is coming up.
<v Speaker 1>We got to get the obligatory celebrity on the show.
<v Speaker 1>So now we got Jelly Roll back, and they're setting
<v Speaker 1>him up here for a segment with the Mizz and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, don't tell me. They're doing jelly roll and
<v Speaker 1>the Miz at WrestleMania. We'll get back to this. First
<v Speaker 1>we have Damian Priest and our Truth against Los Garza
<v Speaker 1>Truth wrapped to the ring, and then they went to
<v Speaker 1>a commercial. They came back, they wrestled for maybe two
<v Speaker 1>and a half minutes maybe, and then they went to
<v Speaker 1>another fucking commercial. I shit you not. And then I'm
<v Speaker 1>so I'm watching and they give you the counter in
<v Speaker 1>the corner that tells you it's like seven commercials. You're
<v Speaker 1>on commercial one of seven. I'm like, well, great, I'll
<v Speaker 1>go fix a snack. I guess for myself. Come back
<v Speaker 1>up here. We still were only on commercial five of seven. So, like,
<v Speaker 1>we have these matches and it's hard to even like
<v Speaker 1>rate or judge the quality of the matches because you
<v Speaker 1>miss half of them. It just makes the matches completely inconsequential.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't even matter. And sometimes it's interesting because and
<v Speaker 1>I use the VPN, so I'm watching these smackdowns on
<v Speaker 1>Netflix technically, and maybe it depends on what server you
<v Speaker 1>connect to, but it's very inconsistent because some commercial breaks,
<v Speaker 1>it'll fade to black and then come right back and
<v Speaker 1>you can watch the action right which you can't do
<v Speaker 1>on USA network. But I would say at this point,
<v Speaker 1>you know half the shows, you get the commercials, you
<v Speaker 1>get the commercials. So it might depend on what country
<v Speaker 1>you're connected to, but I do think they're trying to
<v Speaker 1>force more of them in there, but it's like I
<v Speaker 1>would say, it's a probably half and half split. I
<v Speaker 1>think with a Jade match, of all the matches on
<v Speaker 1>this show, I got to see what was going on
<v Speaker 1>with the Jade match during commercial. That's gee. Thanks. These
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania commercials are annoying as fuck. Well that could very
<v Speaker 1>well be because think about it, we have been watching
<v Speaker 1>these WrestleMania commercials with Aerosmith since November because they were
<v Speaker 1>very very like, we got to sell tickets for WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>this year, so when tickets went on sale in November,
<v Speaker 1>we've been seeing these commercials since November, and it's kind
<v Speaker 1>of sad that they still five weeks out don't even
<v Speaker 1>have forty thousand tickets out for either night. Now they'll
<v Speaker 1>make a metric fuck ton of money and set a
<v Speaker 1>new Gate record because of the ticket prices they're charging,
<v Speaker 1>but yeah, last night checked, it was still right around
<v Speaker 1>thirty seven thousand each night. We're five weeks out. Not great.
<v Speaker 1>Angel avoided a South of Heaven late in the match. Priest, though,
<v Speaker 1>dropped him with a razor's edge. Truth tag back in
<v Speaker 1>and that set up stereo finishes. Truth hit the attitude adjustment,
<v Speaker 1>Priest hit the South of Heaven and they picked up
<v Speaker 1>the win. The fans were into the finish at least
<v Speaker 1>when they hit the double finishing moves there. Honestly, I
<v Speaker 1>will say this pairing Damian Priest off with Our Truth,
<v Speaker 1>even though it makes pri seem less than because Truth
<v Speaker 1>is not someone that really is focused on at a
<v Speaker 1>very high level here on this show. So to come
<v Speaker 1>out of this long feud with Alistair Black that he
<v Speaker 1>won and then just get paired off with Our Truth,
<v Speaker 1>it's a step down. But Truth is likable. He's over
<v Speaker 1>with the audience and it allows them to do you know,
<v Speaker 1>comedy in the back. And I actually think it benefits
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest because Damian Priest was very cold, and I
<v Speaker 1>do think Priest is better when he is paired off,
<v Speaker 1>either with someone or a group, because he has not
<v Speaker 1>been able to recapture what he had when he was
<v Speaker 1>with the Judgment Day and in the immediate aftermath of that,
<v Speaker 1>like when him and Rheas split away from the Judgment
<v Speaker 1>Day on Rowthy were super over, and ever since he
<v Speaker 1>moved over to SmackDown and he's been by himself, he
<v Speaker 1>has not been able to recapture that at all. So
<v Speaker 1>I do think he's someone who is better off, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>being paired off with at least one other person. So
<v Speaker 1>I think for him, you know, it probably benefits him.
<v Speaker 1>It's still sad though, that they felt the need to
<v Speaker 1>even put these two together. It's a sad commentary on
<v Speaker 1>the state of the tag team division on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking of which, that's the perfect segue talking about the
<v Speaker 1>sad state of the tag team division as we go
<v Speaker 1>to the back and Johnny Gargano, who was no longer
<v Speaker 1>in a tag team but he used to be, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure he would still love to be, but apparently
<v Speaker 1>he is firmly entrenched in his WWE contract according to
<v Speaker 1>fight Fuls, so he is not going anywhere anytime soon.
<v Speaker 1>So anybody looking forward to the diy FTR rematch in
<v Speaker 1>aw You're gonna have to wait a little bit longer,
<v Speaker 1>But they go to the back and there he is,
<v Speaker 1>and Johnny Gargano is laying face down on another production case,
<v Speaker 1>as he's been doing every single week. He's been laying
<v Speaker 1>down on a crate. And Candice Larray is standing there
<v Speaker 1>and Alec Shelley is standing there as well, and they're
<v Speaker 1>trying to figure out what to do with this guy.
<v Speaker 1>The bigger story here, honestly, much bigger than any of
<v Speaker 1>this bullshit, is what was going on in the background.
<v Speaker 1>Did you notice what was going on in the background
<v Speaker 1>during this segment? Off in the distance, Jade Cargill was
<v Speaker 1>having a conversation with b Fab and then they walked off.
<v Speaker 1>They left together, So it looks like Jade maybe getting
<v Speaker 1>herself a new Batty soon. You know, wouldn't that be
<v Speaker 1>something at WrestleMania if rear Ripley loses because of b Fab,
<v Speaker 1>what a finish that would be to that WrestleMania match.
<v Speaker 1>I actually don't mind, and I don't know that this
<v Speaker 1>is where they're going with it, but I did float
<v Speaker 1>that as a possibility a few months ago where maybe
<v Speaker 1>they would put b Fab with Jade and maybe even
<v Speaker 1>find one other person, because you know, when Jade was
<v Speaker 1>in aw she had the batties, she had Leila Gray,
<v Speaker 1>and I forgot who the other one was. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't think that's a terrible idea if they wanted to
<v Speaker 1>do something like that here and put a couple of
<v Speaker 1>people with her. But yeah, keep your eye on the beefab.
<v Speaker 1>Something's cooking there. But after Candas rolled Johnny away on
<v Speaker 1>his case, Chris Saban showed up and he told Shelley
<v Speaker 1>that he had just spoken with Nick all this and
<v Speaker 1>he got them a match with Fhraxium on the show
<v Speaker 1>next week, and Shelley was all excited, and Saban was
<v Speaker 1>still upset with Shelley for what happened last week. I
<v Speaker 1>guess we're just paying more attention to Johnny Gargano because
<v Speaker 1>he really thinks he can help Johnny, and he's like,
<v Speaker 1>you're paying more attention to this guy than our team.
<v Speaker 1>So next week, he's expecting Shelley to prove himself that
<v Speaker 1>he still stands for the Motor City machine Guns. Elsewhere
<v Speaker 1>in the back, the Miz is walking and he runs
<v Speaker 1>into Dan Hausen. Dan Housen shills his new T shirt,
<v Speaker 1>which apparently is selling very well well, and MSS is
<v Speaker 1>surprised that Dan Housen even has merch. He's been here
<v Speaker 1>for a week, and Dan Housen says, well, I have
<v Speaker 1>my new T shirt the very first night I came in,
<v Speaker 1>which it is very interesting, isn't it how that we
<v Speaker 1>talk about contracts and contract tampering and all this stuff,
<v Speaker 1>And clearly Dan Housen was still under contract to AW
<v Speaker 1>until like the night before he debuted, because that's when
<v Speaker 1>they pulled him off the roster page. It's like when
<v Speaker 1>the clock struck midnight the day of the elimination chamber. Right,
<v Speaker 1>he became a free agent, and they had It's like
<v Speaker 1>they had everything already laid out, like they had the
<v Speaker 1>entrance and they had the music, and they had the
<v Speaker 1>T shirts made. It's like, hmm, how how far at
<v Speaker 1>advance did they have this deal made? Is what I
<v Speaker 1>would like to know. So he says that I've got
<v Speaker 1>my idea for my own talk show to I missus
<v Speaker 1>like he's doing miss TV. But Dan Housen has all
<v Speaker 1>these ideas about you know, I'm gonna do this show
<v Speaker 1>and we'll call it this, and mis didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>hear about it. He blew him off. So dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>cursed him again, so you knew exactly where this next
<v Speaker 1>segment was going here, which was miss TV. And his
<v Speaker 1>microphone was not working, of course, not because he's cursed,
<v Speaker 1>so he asked for another one, and then he brought
<v Speaker 1>out Jelly Roll to the ring Jada Parker. See that's interesting.
<v Speaker 1>See that could work. B fab and Jada Parker as
<v Speaker 1>Jade's new batties. That could work. It would be one
<v Speaker 1>way to introduce Jada to the main roster. Is she ready? Though?
<v Speaker 1>I haven't watched too much NXT of late because I
<v Speaker 1>think Jada disappeared for a while. She may have been hurt,
<v Speaker 1>so I haven't seen some of her recent work. Is
<v Speaker 1>she ready for a main roster? Well, I'm sure she is.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they got fucking Lash Legend on the main roster,
<v Speaker 1>so if Lash is good enough to be on the
<v Speaker 1>main roster, I don't see why Jada Parker shouldn't be.
<v Speaker 1>So Jelly Roll comes out and said that there was
<v Speaker 1>no way he was gonna miss his boys, Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>and Cody Rhoads, and they're big contracts signing here tonight
<v Speaker 1>in Phoenix, and the fans actually reacted. They showed signs
<v Speaker 1>of life here in this segment, so Miss tried to
<v Speaker 1>convince Jelly to take him on as a mentor, and
<v Speaker 1>mister Roll was not interested in that. He knows the
<v Speaker 1>history of Miss stabbing partners in the back. Mis mentions
<v Speaker 1>Jelly's redemption story, but he pointed out that two years ago,
<v Speaker 1>two years ago, at SummerSlam, Jelly, you know, he basically,
<v Speaker 1>if you remember, at SummerSlam, he did a spot I
<v Speaker 1>want to say it was with Austin Theory, right, he
<v Speaker 1>gave I think he gave Austin Theory a big choke
<v Speaker 1>slam or something, and he couldn't get He trouble getting
<v Speaker 1>up because he was just morbidly obese. As Miz pointed
<v Speaker 1>out here, like your your obese body, you were not
<v Speaker 1>able to get up off the mat. You had to
<v Speaker 1>be helped up. And he goes, that was the moment
<v Speaker 1>that Jelly knew he needed to change his life. So basically,
<v Speaker 1>it's as if he's taking credit for Jelly having this
<v Speaker 1>realization that I've got to make a change here in
<v Speaker 1>my life. Right. So he got very hot about that
<v Speaker 1>and asked if MS was actually trying to take credit
<v Speaker 1>for him losing two hundred and fifty pounds, Well, that
<v Speaker 1>would be that would be the ozempic, right, It's a
<v Speaker 1>combination of ozempic and exercise and everything out. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it's so crazy. I see these pictures of all these
<v Speaker 1>celebrities and you see it in their face. I saw
<v Speaker 1>something I couldn't even believe. I thought it was Ai
<v Speaker 1>or something. There was a god. Who was it? Was
<v Speaker 1>it Ozzie's daughter. She used to be on a talk show.
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember the name of the talk show. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>she still is, I don't know. But there was something
<v Speaker 1>that came across my timeline and had her name on there,
<v Speaker 1>Kelly Kelly Osbourne, and I'm like, that's not Kelly O's.
<v Speaker 1>I thought the caption was incorrect. I thought that they
<v Speaker 1>were taking her name and inadvertently attaching it to somebody else.
<v Speaker 1>I had no idea that that was her, Like, she
<v Speaker 1>doesn't even look like the same person. I was like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>I had no idea. I had no idea. And then
<v Speaker 1>there were people in the comments that were like piling
<v Speaker 1>on her and everything else, and I, you know, that's
<v Speaker 1>awful and terrible, but like I legit had no idea
<v Speaker 1>that this was the same person. It's like, wow, anyway,
<v Speaker 1>So he got very upset with Mis for trying to
<v Speaker 1>take credit for his massive weight loss. He called Mis
<v Speaker 1>a disgusting person. So then Mis said that he liked
<v Speaker 1>Jelly better when he was fat. Jelly says, fat or skinny,
<v Speaker 1>I'll whip your ass. It's like when a Stone told
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk wherever they had that backstage segment. This is
<v Speaker 1>why I hope Austin's on the show on Monday. I
<v Speaker 1>would love one more backstage interaction with him in Punk.
<v Speaker 1>But they had that show all oh god, what year
<v Speaker 1>was that? That had to be twenty twenty eleven, right,
<v Speaker 1>twenty eleven, twenty twelve, twenty eleven, Yeah, it was definitely.
<v Speaker 1>It was definitely June of twenty eleven. And they were
<v Speaker 1>in the back and Punk said like, have you taken
<v Speaker 1>a breathalyzer? He wants him to take a breathalyzer? Can
<v Speaker 1>you spell the alphabet backwards? And Austin's like, well, now
<v Speaker 1>I could whip your ass backwards. I'm it's a fucking
<v Speaker 1>great come on, we need another segment with them on Monday.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, you cowards. So a misdemanded respect because he's
<v Speaker 1>the locker room leader and Jelly roll called him a
<v Speaker 1>locker room loser. This brings out Kit Wilson and he
<v Speaker 1>says that miss should stop wasting time talking with Jelly
<v Speaker 1>because Jelly is the problem. He says. Jelly says he
<v Speaker 1>likes Kit. We all like Kit, and then he does
<v Speaker 1>the Kit Wilson pose where he liked gyrates. So Wilson
<v Speaker 1>doesn't like Jelly's face tattoos or his criminal history, and
<v Speaker 1>he says the Jelly Roll is someone running away from
<v Speaker 1>who he really is. And then he calls it Jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll fat phobic, and he says the Jelly doesn't inspire anyone,
<v Speaker 1>He just promotes an unhealthy beauty standard. And he calls
<v Speaker 1>Jelly Roll toxic. So they get to shoving and Jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll throws a punch. Kit Wilson gets out of the way,
<v Speaker 1>and of course, because he's cursed, mis gets punched by accident.
<v Speaker 1>That is how the segment ended. I will say the
<v Speaker 1>Jelly Roll is not a bad promo. Again, he is
<v Speaker 1>better than most wrestlers I see on TV. And the fans,
<v Speaker 1>you know, cheered, they were behind Jelly Roll. He had
<v Speaker 1>a certain intensity about his promo that really worked for him.
<v Speaker 1>That's probably the best thing I could say about this.
<v Speaker 1>Am I excited to see Jelly Roll against the Miz
<v Speaker 1>of WrestleMania? I am not. I know it will be
<v Speaker 1>the It'll be the obligatory comedy match, kind of like
<v Speaker 1>come down entertainment match of the nights, you know, like
<v Speaker 1>what we had with Sammy Zine and Johnny Knoxville all
<v Speaker 1>those years ago, or was that WrestleMania thirty eight, which,
<v Speaker 1>to be fair, that match ended up being a lot
<v Speaker 1>of fun. So I'm not saying this can't be a
<v Speaker 1>lot of fun. But I'm just saying, like I can't
<v Speaker 1>sit here and tell you I'm excited to see it.
<v Speaker 1>I hope it all works out where maybe it'll end
<v Speaker 1>up being one of the sleeper matches of the show.
<v Speaker 1>But do I care about any of this? No, No,
<v Speaker 1>I do not. But my guess is it'll be miss
<v Speaker 1>against Jelly. Dan Housen will end up being in Jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll's corner, Kit Wilson will end up being in Missus corner,
<v Speaker 1>and that's gonna be the match of WrestleMania. Really not
<v Speaker 1>much else to say about this. We did find out
<v Speaker 1>that Kit Wilson is going to be calling out Jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll on next week's show, so apparently he'll be back.
<v Speaker 1>They cut to the back and we see Apollo Cruise
<v Speaker 1>and il you, dragon Of. They have an Ilia Dragonof
<v Speaker 1>hanging out now with Apollo Cruise in the back. The
<v Speaker 1>last person we saw hanging out with Apollo Cruise was
<v Speaker 1>Matt Cardona, who I don't think we've seen since. But
<v Speaker 1>they're they're in the back having just watched the segment
<v Speaker 1>that we saw, and they this was just they're reacting
<v Speaker 1>to it in the phoniest of ways, especially dragon Of.
<v Speaker 1>Dragonoff was like, oh wow, Like I'm like, dude, Like
<v Speaker 1>he can't even he can't even fake his enjoyment of
<v Speaker 1>that segment. He's trying, but it's just it's not working.
<v Speaker 1>So Carmelo Hayes shows up. He wants to have a
<v Speaker 1>chat with Dragonov, who said that he was stuck between
<v Speaker 1>two extremes. Ilia said ultimate confidence on one hand, self
<v Speaker 1>doubt on the other, and Hayes asked him to lock
<v Speaker 1>in unless there was something more to why he couldn't
<v Speaker 1>just fight him, and Dragonov said that he couldn't fight
<v Speaker 1>Hayes right now because he was fighting himself. Deep doesn't
<v Speaker 1>really make for exciting television, now, does it. When this
<v Speaker 1>is what how many weeks in a row? Now that
<v Speaker 1>Ilia Dragonov has said I can't fight you, and he
<v Speaker 1>really hasn't given us a straight answer about why how
<v Speaker 1>many weeks has this been going on for? It's a
<v Speaker 1>match I want to see, and if they do it
<v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania, that's great. But every fucking week I can't
<v Speaker 1>fight you. I can't fight you. I can't fight you.
<v Speaker 1>I'm having an internal struggle. I can't fight you. Doesn't
<v Speaker 1>really make for very interesting TV. So as Tiffany Stratt,
<v Speaker 1>we go to Tiffany Stratt, she's looking into the camera
<v Speaker 1>and she's addressing Julia and Keana James, and Chelsea Green
<v Speaker 1>rolls up behind her in her wheelchair and as soon
<v Speaker 1>as she rolls up, Tiffany just takes the wheelchair and
<v Speaker 1>just pushes it and off goes Chelsea. And then Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>turns back to the camera and just continues to cut
<v Speaker 1>her promo and in the background you see Alba Fire
<v Speaker 1>just running trying to catch up to Chelsea. So that
<v Speaker 1>was kind of amusing, and Tiffany said what she said,
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be Tiffy time. She was on her way
<v Speaker 1>to the ring for her match elsewhere. Dan Hausen appeared
<v Speaker 1>again with his jar of teeth, and he asked the
<v Speaker 1>miss if he got any of his teeth knocked out
<v Speaker 1>by Jimmy jam because he wanted to add more to
<v Speaker 1>his collection. And dan Housen then reminded Miss, you know
<v Speaker 1>there was one way. There's only one way to reverse
<v Speaker 1>the curse, and miss was about to tell him off,
<v Speaker 1>but again when he turned around, dan Hausen was gone.
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany stratting against Keana James. After a break, Chelsea Green
<v Speaker 1>was rolled down to the ring by Alba Fire. Keana
<v Speaker 1>went for a power bomb stratt encountered with the rolling
<v Speaker 1>sent on. She was getting ready to hit the prettiest
<v Speaker 1>moon Salt ever when Julia pulled Keana out of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and so Tiffany decided to hit a dive out onto ball.
<v Speaker 1>James and Julia at ringside. So in all of the chaos,
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea stands up out of her wheelchair. She's got her
<v Speaker 1>walking boot on for her broken ankle, which is legitimately broken.
<v Speaker 1>She stands up out of the wheelchair and she is
<v Speaker 1>wielding what appears to be a pink wrench, and she
<v Speaker 1>is teasing that she is going to hit Tiffany with
<v Speaker 1>the wrench. Julia, though, gets in the way and stops her.
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany ends up getting back in the ring. Julia gets
<v Speaker 1>up on the apron and grabs Tiffany, so Keana comes
<v Speaker 1>in with a big boot. Tiffany moves and she inadvertently
<v Speaker 1>boots Julia, who gets knocked off the apron, and she
<v Speaker 1>on top of Chelsea and Alba and and awkwardly kind
<v Speaker 1>of falls on them and wipes them out. At ringside
<v Speaker 1>and then back in the ring, Stratton finishes things off
<v Speaker 1>with the rolling sent on and the prettiest moon salt
<v Speaker 1>ever for the win. It was actually a solid match
<v Speaker 1>before all of the wackiness there at the end. Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>and Julia for the US title was the match I
<v Speaker 1>talked about a couple weeks ago. It just seemed to
<v Speaker 1>me to be the obvious direction for Tiffany just by
<v Speaker 1>process of elimination, because what else would Tiffany be doing
<v Speaker 1>on the show, right, She's got to be doing something.
<v Speaker 1>Julia was the only one who has a championship who
<v Speaker 1>had no obvious opponents, so just put the two of
<v Speaker 1>them together, So that clearly is the direction for many.
<v Speaker 1>The question though, is where does Chelsea Green fit into
<v Speaker 1>all this, because it feels to me like for weeks
<v Speaker 1>now we've seen Tiffany interacting with Chelsea and Alba, so
<v Speaker 1>they've been building something with them. If they think that
<v Speaker 1>Chelle he is going to be back in time and
<v Speaker 1>cleared in time for WrestleMania, and again she's got I
<v Speaker 1>think it's a small break, but there is a break
<v Speaker 1>in her ankle. I don't know how long she's been
<v Speaker 1>out already for. If there's a possibility that she will
<v Speaker 1>be back in time for WrestleMania, they can make it
<v Speaker 1>a triple threat. But right now it looks like it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be Tiffany and Julia one on one and great,
<v Speaker 1>there's no reason for that title not to be represented
<v Speaker 1>on a show where every other women's championship is going
<v Speaker 1>to be defended, Like, you can't do that. You can't
<v Speaker 1>defend every other women's title and leave this one off
<v Speaker 1>the show. What message does that? Senid? So I'm happy
<v Speaker 1>they found something for Julia to She's probably gonna lose,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm happy they found something for her to do
<v Speaker 1>on the show. If you're gonna have the two world
<v Speaker 1>titles and the women's I see and the women's tag
<v Speaker 1>belts all represented at WrestleMania. You can find room for
<v Speaker 1>the US title on that show, right, and again there's
<v Speaker 1>talk that there could be five or six women's matches
<v Speaker 1>on the card. Fine, as long as this is one,
<v Speaker 1>and if Chelsea happens to be clear, then they could
<v Speaker 1>just throw her in there. Chrise, it would be nice
<v Speaker 1>for Chelsea to get a roll on the show too.
<v Speaker 1>If not, she could sit in her wheelchair a ringside.
<v Speaker 1>Now backstage, Kathy Kelly interviewed Trick Williams about his upcoming
<v Speaker 1>match with Jacob fought Too. Sammy's ain showed up. This
<v Speaker 1>is his new thing now, he just shows up and
<v Speaker 1>he told Trick to keep talking. He remembered Trick saying
<v Speaker 1>that he would walk into the main event of WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>and put the company on his back. And he also
<v Speaker 1>remembered Trick saying that he couldn't get the job done
<v Speaker 1>he being Sammy. Sammy said, Trick runs his mouth, but
<v Speaker 1>he can't back it up. He says Trick is embarrassed
<v Speaker 1>as he should be. So Trick says, you're lucky that
<v Speaker 1>I have a match coming up where I would drop
<v Speaker 1>your ass and Sammy said, I'm here every week. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not a hard man to find, so I'll see you around.
<v Speaker 1>I just love how Sammy's Ain's new gimmick is that
<v Speaker 1>he's just backstage stirring up shit with everyone. He's just
<v Speaker 1>like the resident shit stir in the back. He's just
<v Speaker 1>you know, sidling up to Cody picking fights with Trick Williams.
<v Speaker 1>He's walking up to Randy Orton, He's being confronted by
<v Speaker 1>Alistair Black. He's got a lot, He's got more going
<v Speaker 1>on backstage than he does in the ring. Still has
<v Speaker 1>no WrestleMania match, although I would think Trick Williams would
<v Speaker 1>be the obvious match for him. So he had Jacob
<v Speaker 1>Fatu against Trick Williams. We finally got a good match
<v Speaker 1>on this show. Finally Trick lined up the trick shot.
<v Speaker 1>Fa Tu landed a super kick and then a pop
<v Speaker 1>up samo and drop fa Towu went up top for
<v Speaker 1>the swanton bomb, only got a near fall out of it,
<v Speaker 1>so Trick rolled out of the ring. Fatu followed and
<v Speaker 1>both men they wind up in front of the announced
<v Speaker 1>desk outside. But guess who's back. He quit, but now
<v Speaker 1>he unquit because Drew McIntyre showed up unbeknownst to the
<v Speaker 1>referee and he attacked put him back in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>That set up a Trick shot, and Trick Williams gets
<v Speaker 1>the pin on Jacob Fatu. So you had to see
<v Speaker 1>that coming, right, I mean, you knew, you knew it
<v Speaker 1>was gonna be a fuck finish in this match of
<v Speaker 1>some kind. Up until that point, though, what we got
<v Speaker 1>from these two I thought was good before we got
<v Speaker 1>the you know, the obvious Drew McIntyre return. After the match,
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre took out Fatu in the ring with a Claymore
<v Speaker 1>kick and before the main events segment. This is skipping
<v Speaker 1>ahead a little bit, but when Nick all this was
<v Speaker 1>in the ring for the contract signing, before he even
<v Speaker 1>went into that, he did make an announcement, which is
<v Speaker 1>that he wanted to welcome back Drew and also let
<v Speaker 1>him know that next week on SmackDown, he's got a
<v Speaker 1>match with Jacob Fatu. So they're doing the match on
<v Speaker 1>TV next week. This is going to lead to a
<v Speaker 1>rematch at Wrestle Media. And this actually kind of makes
<v Speaker 1>sense because there's been rumors there was a report it
<v Speaker 1>might have been from Wrestle Votes that WWE was looking
<v Speaker 1>to really load up a lot of matches of WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>with stipulations, you know, in part because they have these
<v Speaker 1>the first hour of WrestleMania on both nights is on
<v Speaker 1>ESPN two and ESPN. But they want to have stipulations
<v Speaker 1>for some of the undercard matches on the show. And
<v Speaker 1>so it makes sense that they're gonna do the first
<v Speaker 1>match between them next week. We're not going to get
<v Speaker 1>a clean finish or a decisive finish, and then they'll
<v Speaker 1>run it back at WrestleMania with a stipulation. And I
<v Speaker 1>just looked back to last year. What was Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 1>doing on the WrestleMania card. Last year? He was wrestling
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest in a Sin City street fight. Would not
<v Speaker 1>at all be shocked if they put Drew back in
<v Speaker 1>the Sin City street fight again this year or some
<v Speaker 1>or some sort of stipulation, but some kind of street
<v Speaker 1>fight stipulation would make sense. That's what this feels like
<v Speaker 1>to me. So I think that's what they're gonna end
<v Speaker 1>up doing. And you know, as soon as you lost
<v Speaker 1>the championship, this was the obvious match. And I still
<v Speaker 1>sit here. I still sit here, and I maintain I
<v Speaker 1>am not convinced that Drew McIntyre was the one who
<v Speaker 1>kicked Jacob's teeth out of his mouth. Now, maybe they're
<v Speaker 1>just going to abandon that story altogether. Maybe Drew will
<v Speaker 1>pop up on television one of these weeks and he'll
<v Speaker 1>cop to it and say, you know what, I lied,
<v Speaker 1>I really did do it. But I'm just telling you,
<v Speaker 1>I still think it's gonna end up being either Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton or sammy'san. I was leaning towards Orton, and actually
<v Speaker 1>him doing what he did to Cody tonight kind of
<v Speaker 1>lends more credence to that, to be honest with you,
<v Speaker 1>but I am still not convinced that it was Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre behind that attack. But they closed the show with
<v Speaker 1>the only segment of the night that really mattered, if
<v Speaker 1>we're being perfectly honest here, It was the contract signing
<v Speaker 1>for the WWE title match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton,
<v Speaker 1>and came out, he was cheered. Cody came out and
<v Speaker 1>he got booze. Wasn't booed out of the building, but
<v Speaker 1>he got booze noticeable booze certainly more than what well
<v Speaker 1>Randy didn't get any booze, but he certainly got booze himself.
<v Speaker 1>So Cody and Randy are in the ring and they
<v Speaker 1>hug and they sit right next to each other at
<v Speaker 1>the table. Randy even asked him, he is a little
<v Speaker 1>awkward the two of us sitting so close together. He
<v Speaker 1>was being awfully nice. This should have been a dead
<v Speaker 1>giveaway something was going down here. So Cody said, you know,
<v Speaker 1>in two thousand and seven, his very first match in
<v Speaker 1>WWE was against Randy Orton, and he would then go
<v Speaker 1>on to watch Randy win the Royal Rumble in main
<v Speaker 1>event wrestle Mania, and yeah, that terrible main event, and
<v Speaker 1>he thought if he could be like that one day,
<v Speaker 1>And then he left, and Randy put a post out
<v Speaker 1>after Cody left about how he thought that Cody could
<v Speaker 1>be a world champion one day. So he's always been
<v Speaker 1>proud to be r Andy's boy. And with that, Cody
<v Speaker 1>signed the contract. Randy Orton's turned down, but he hesitates.
<v Speaker 1>He goes to sidne it, he stops short, he stands up,
<v Speaker 1>He goes in the corner. He bows his head like
<v Speaker 1>he's conflicted about something, and he takes the microphone. He
<v Speaker 1>goes he doesn't think Cody understands, like I need this,
<v Speaker 1>and he's pointing up of the WrestleMania sign like I
<v Speaker 1>need this. But this wasn't supposed to be this hard.
<v Speaker 1>It was supposed to be Drew. It was supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be him against Drew for the championship. But now Cody
<v Speaker 1>is the champion. And Cody gets up and he tells him,
<v Speaker 1>let me let me take this weight off your shoulders.
<v Speaker 1>When the bell rings at WrestleMania, right he says, we
<v Speaker 1>get to watch the best Randy Orton that there's ever been.
<v Speaker 1>He gets the legend killer, the one that JBL said,
<v Speaker 1>if you built a wrestler from the ground up, it
<v Speaker 1>would be Randy. Orton says he knows that they get
<v Speaker 1>the master of the RKO. But that's when the bell rings,
<v Speaker 1>and after it's over, he wants him to know he
<v Speaker 1>will always love him. So Randy goes and he signs
<v Speaker 1>the contract and with that the two of them shook hands.
<v Speaker 1>Right now, I'm waiting, I'm waiting to see someone coming out.
<v Speaker 1>Is Randy goet to do? I thought Randy was just
<v Speaker 1>gonna drop him on the spot with an RKO. But
<v Speaker 1>they shake hands and then Randy rams him. Randy the
<v Speaker 1>ram he rams him face first into the table and
<v Speaker 1>then he just kicks him square in the dick. And
<v Speaker 1>I just got flashbacks to a year ago with the
<v Speaker 1>John Cena stuff. But he kicks him in the dick.
<v Speaker 1>He rips Cody's shirt off, he throws him out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring. He goes outside. He throws Cody over the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk, and then he picks up the ring steps
<v Speaker 1>and he hits Cody in the head with them when
<v Speaker 1>Cody gets back up, So nick All, this comes over
<v Speaker 1>because we got to get away from Cody here for
<v Speaker 1>a minute. Let Cody do his business. Nick All, this
<v Speaker 1>comes over and Randy shoves him down on his ass.
<v Speaker 1>So now when they cut back to Cody, Cody comes
<v Speaker 1>up and he is busted wide open. I mean, he
<v Speaker 1>looked like he hit a good one here. He's got
<v Speaker 1>blood just pouring out of his head and it's all
<v Speaker 1>over his tie and his shirt and everything. Randy places
<v Speaker 1>him on top of the announced desk and he's just
<v Speaker 1>punching away at his forehead. And Randy leans the steps
<v Speaker 1>up against the announced desk and he places Cody's head
<v Speaker 1>that Cody is laying on the desk. He places Cody's
<v Speaker 1>head in the crevice of the ring steps, like what
<v Speaker 1>are they going to do here? So Jelly Roll, who
<v Speaker 1>was in the crowd watching this, Jelly Roll now comes over.
<v Speaker 1>I guess he's trying to calm down Randy. What are
<v Speaker 1>you doing, Randy? Or I sing of a fucking song.
<v Speaker 1>Randy turns around and he shoves jelly Roll down. So
<v Speaker 1>Randy looks down at himself and he sees, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Cody's blood is all over his arms, and Cody's blood
<v Speaker 1>is all over his chest, and he looks stunned at
<v Speaker 1>his own actions, like again like he snapped, can't believe
<v Speaker 1>what he's done, and he goes to leave. So all
<v Speaker 1>this gets back up, Jelly Roll gets back up, and
<v Speaker 1>they go over to check on Cody, who again is
<v Speaker 1>laying on the desk. His head is in the crevice
<v Speaker 1>of the steps, and all the officials are there checking
<v Speaker 1>on him. Randy eventually comes back though. He's got a
<v Speaker 1>steel chair and he climbs up on top of the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk and he smashes the steps right, so we're
<v Speaker 1>supposedly he's caving Cody's heading with the chair, but he
<v Speaker 1>hit the steps and so it made a nice loud sound.
<v Speaker 1>And at that point, you know, they got this great
<v Speaker 1>shot of Randy who is standing on top of the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk with a share in his hand, and you
<v Speaker 1>see the WrestleMania sign behind him off in the distance.
<v Speaker 1>So then Randy gets in the ring, he grabs the
<v Speaker 1>WWE title and he sits down in a chair and
<v Speaker 1>he's just holding the belt up against his waist as
<v Speaker 1>he's sitting there, and they're going off the air, and
<v Speaker 1>you just hear the fans chanting Randy, Randy, Randy, even
<v Speaker 1>though he just tried to murder Cody Rhodes right the
<v Speaker 1>Golden Boy, they are cheering for Randy Orton and chanting
<v Speaker 1>his name as the show goes off the air. Now,
<v Speaker 1>there were some booze when the initial turn happened and
<v Speaker 1>he had Cody outside and he was bleeding and Orton
<v Speaker 1>was attacking him and he shoved down, you know, jelly
<v Speaker 1>roll like I don't want to make it selling. There
<v Speaker 1>were no booze, and they were just like cheering wildly
<v Speaker 1>for him the entire time. But they were cheering for
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton, and especially when the show went off the air,
<v Speaker 1>they were chanting the man's name which you would think
<v Speaker 1>is not the reaction that you would be going for
<v Speaker 1>in a situation like this. That's going to be a
<v Speaker 1>problem going forward. Now, that's going to be a problem.
<v Speaker 1>And it just felt to me like this is twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty five all over again. You know where they did
<v Speaker 1>the turn with John Cena before WrestleMania instead of waiting
<v Speaker 1>until Mania, which in hindsight, would have been the better
<v Speaker 1>thing to do. As great as that angle was an
<v Speaker 1>elimination chamber, I think looking at what they did, it
<v Speaker 1>would have been better to save the turn. It would
<v Speaker 1>have been more impactful to save the turn if you
<v Speaker 1>were going to turn Sena save it for WrestleMania. Instead,
<v Speaker 1>he went into the match already as a heel. He
<v Speaker 1>worked the match is a heel. Nobody wanted to see that.
<v Speaker 1>And then we had that dog shit ending with Travis
<v Speaker 1>Scott no Rock. So we got a belt shot in
<v Speaker 1>a nut shot and he wins number seventeen. That will
<v Speaker 1>forever be a stain on Triple h and his booking
<v Speaker 1>of that WrestleMania last year. I don't care what anybody says.
<v Speaker 1>They ruined number seventeen last year. Now, imagine if Sena
<v Speaker 1>had gone into that match. One of my concerns about
<v Speaker 1>even doing that match at all last year was they
<v Speaker 1>were so alike. Cody is basically trying to be this
<v Speaker 1>generation's version of John Cena, So you know, it could
<v Speaker 1>be a very boring build up to wrestle Mania. If
<v Speaker 1>you just have two baby faces like Sena and Cody
<v Speaker 1>being nice to each other. They would have had to
<v Speaker 1>come up with a way to build tension between them.
<v Speaker 1>But again, how much better would it have been if
<v Speaker 1>people really didn't see it coming and he's so desperate
<v Speaker 1>to win seventeen he resorts to a nutshot or a
<v Speaker 1>belt shot, and it's like, oh my god, not only
<v Speaker 1>did he set the record, he turned fucking heel right
<v Speaker 1>in the main event. And now I'm kind of looking
<v Speaker 1>at this a year later and I'm like, I hope
<v Speaker 1>I don't end up feeling the same way when this
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania is over, where it's like, shit, this would have
<v Speaker 1>been so much better if they would have saved the
<v Speaker 1>turn for Mania itself instead of maybe just doing a
<v Speaker 1>title change. Right, If Randy goes in there and wins
<v Speaker 1>the belt from him, I'll happily eat my words. If
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania goes off the air with them doing some sort
<v Speaker 1>of double turn. I don't I mean, that's just I
<v Speaker 1>don't even see how that would work. So, assuming that's
<v Speaker 1>not the case, I think that was a mistake. We'll
<v Speaker 1>see what Orton's explanation is for why he did what
<v Speaker 1>he did. Cody was being very magnanimous and very respectful
<v Speaker 1>of him and saying all the right things. You know,
<v Speaker 1>when the bell rings, you go out there and you
<v Speaker 1>be Randy Orton, you know, like I love you like
<v Speaker 1>a brother, and I'm your boy, and I respect you
<v Speaker 1>and all this stuff, and then Orton just decided to
<v Speaker 1>fucking murder the guy. Now we need to know the why,
<v Speaker 1>and what is this build now going to look like
<v Speaker 1>between now and then is Cody Is Cody going to
<v Speaker 1>forgive him for what he did? Is Cody going to
<v Speaker 1>want to rip his head off? I would imagine Cody,
<v Speaker 1>you'll have the same exact reaction he had to John
<v Speaker 1>Cena last year, where he has all this like infinite
<v Speaker 1>respect for this guy, right, but he was very angry
<v Speaker 1>and they had, you know, officials come out to get
<v Speaker 1>in between them so Cody wouldn't kill him. Only when
<v Speaker 1>Cody finally won face to face with John c And and
<v Speaker 1>he could have put his hands on him, he didn't,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know. I just don't want to go
<v Speaker 1>through this shit again. Right. The build last year was
<v Speaker 1>very underwhelming, and I just fear like, here we are
<v Speaker 1>again and they haven't learned from those mistakes, and I
<v Speaker 1>just don't want them to do the exact same thing
<v Speaker 1>they did last year. But I'm watching this going okay.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I didn't expect them to do this angle tonight.
<v Speaker 1>It kind of felt rushed in that regard. I just
<v Speaker 1>hope that they didn't rush it for the sake of, Oh,
<v Speaker 1>we got to get something going here, because the build
<v Speaker 1>has been very underwhelming for this wrestlemedia. We got something
<v Speaker 1>over here with Roman and punk on raw. We got
<v Speaker 1>to do something big here on the SmackDown side. So
<v Speaker 1>let's just do the turn now, right and get a
<v Speaker 1>viral moment out of it. I really hope there's a
<v Speaker 1>good plan for this. I really do, because Randy's going
<v Speaker 1>to continue to get these kinds of reactions, and this
<v Speaker 1>is in the lead up to the show. It would
<v Speaker 1>have been one thing if he would have still been
<v Speaker 1>a babyface, right, people still would have cheered for Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>Cody would have gotten more split reactions, And now it's
<v Speaker 1>just going to be very weird if he's coming out
<v Speaker 1>there trying to play heel and people don't want to
<v Speaker 1>boo him, Like, are we really going to go through
<v Speaker 1>this again two years in a row. You know, that's
<v Speaker 1>my only gripe with it. But obviously it was the
<v Speaker 1>best thing on the entire show by a country mile.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing else they did tonight even comes close. I literallyzed
<v Speaker 1>sat around waiting the entire night for this fifteen minute
<v Speaker 1>contract signing at the end of the show, and it
<v Speaker 1>shouldn't be that way where it's like, I can't wait
<v Speaker 1>for this fucking show to be over. I mean, this
<v Speaker 1>was a tough show to sit through. Tonight. They just
<v Speaker 1>seem to be getting worse. I don't understand it. It's
<v Speaker 1>inexcusable with the talent they have and the resources that
<v Speaker 1>they have at their disposal, and the creative minds that
<v Speaker 1>they could have sitting in the room planning out their
<v Speaker 1>biggest show with the fucking year to be putting on
<v Speaker 1>television shows like the one that they gave us tonight,
<v Speaker 1>or that raw show from a couple of weeks ago.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, we're barely even three months into the year
<v Speaker 1>and there've already been multiple candidates for worst show of
<v Speaker 1>the year before we even get to WrestleMania. Are they
<v Speaker 1>trying to set the expectations for this show so low
<v Speaker 1>that when we get there they blow us away with
<v Speaker 1>an amazing show? Right? Are they playing four D chests
<v Speaker 1>like what's going on here? It's gonna take a lot
<v Speaker 1>more than what we saw in that main event tonight
<v Speaker 1>to save this show week after week if they think
<v Speaker 1>they could just turn out one big angle at the
<v Speaker 1>end of three hours. So the Twitter poll, what did
<v Speaker 1>you think of SmackDown from Phoenix? Forty three percent thumbs
<v Speaker 1>up and about fifty seven percent thumbs down. Yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>if it wasn't for that closing angle, those numbers would
<v Speaker 1>be that gap would be a lot bigger than it is.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of that forty three percent I'm telling you
<v Speaker 1>right now was that closing segment. It's just unbelievable. And
<v Speaker 1>they have the audacity to charge the kinds of ticket
<v Speaker 1>prices they charge for these shows. Somehow the shows get
<v Speaker 1>worse and the prices go up. I mean, if that
<v Speaker 1>isn't a slap in the face. I don't know what is.
<v Speaker 1>I really don't shout out to Joseph. Happy Friday to you, brother.
<v Speaker 1>I wish SmackDown gave you a better show. Maybe road
<v Speaker 1>Dog quit because he just couldn't stand his name being
<v Speaker 1>attached to these shows. It's like, I can't I can't
<v Speaker 1>take it no more. I gotta get out of here.
<v Speaker 1>I'm tired of being blamed for this. Joseph. I'm a
<v Speaker 1>Tony Montana guy. When it comes to al Pacino roles,
<v Speaker 1>Tony Montana and de Niro for me, Godfather one or two,
<v Speaker 1>I'll go, well, Godfather too. Cape Fear, Yeah, saw that
<v Speaker 1>many years ago. He was very He was a very
<v Speaker 1>disturbing character in that movie Goodfellas or Godfather Goodfellas, Goodfellas
<v Speaker 1>or Casino Goodfellas. Did I know that Cape Fear movie
<v Speaker 1>is a remake of No? I did not know that. Spielberg, Scorsese.
<v Speaker 1>Why does WWE want Randy Orton to have the most
<v Speaker 1>world title wins after John Cena? Who says they? Do
<v Speaker 1>you say that as if it's a guarantee that Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton is going to break John Cena's record. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think that's the case. At all, far from a guarantee.
<v Speaker 1>Will you be going to see the new Robert Pattinson's
<v Speaker 1>Zendaijah Move No, No, I will not, and the Michael
<v Speaker 1>Jackson movie. No. I have about five or six movies
<v Speaker 1>on my list of movies I'd like to see this year,
<v Speaker 1>and neither one of those are on my list. I
<v Speaker 1>was I a fan of The Godfather Three. No, Joseph,
<v Speaker 1>I hope you have a great weekend. See I try
<v Speaker 1>to give Joseph my answers in a snappy way. Some
<v Speaker 1>of these some of these are so easy. I don't
<v Speaker 1>even have to think about them. Death Sithe says, just
<v Speaker 1>like Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns has always been a heel.
<v Speaker 1>Sometimes he likes the masquerade as a baby face. He
<v Speaker 1>even poisoned Stephanie McMahon's drink. What what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 1>Triple h poison Stephanie's drink paid off somebody too at
<v Speaker 1>the bachelorette party? Right? We got big money? Is that?
<v Speaker 1>Bossmo Jackson? I think it might be big money? Jackson.
<v Speaker 1>Can you see Uncle Howdie getting a title run in
<v Speaker 1>WWE outside of the tag team titles? No? Will Drew
<v Speaker 1>show up on Raw next week? Well, now you got
<v Speaker 1>your answer. He was already back before the show was
<v Speaker 1>even over. Am I a fan of Jamaican food? Might
<v Speaker 1>be if I ever had some? I've never eaten it before.
<v Speaker 1>Your favorite Terminator movie? Terminator two Judgment Day, one of
<v Speaker 1>the best movies ever made? Are you a fan of
<v Speaker 1>the Vanity Project in NXT? I have not seen enough
<v Speaker 1>of them to say one way or the other. Rhea
<v Speaker 1>looks like she is Edward Scissorhans's sister. Well, she's a
<v Speaker 1>lot sexier than Edward Scissorhands, that's for sure. Alistair Black
<v Speaker 1>needs a change to Raw keep him away from Sammy.
<v Speaker 1>If they move him to Raw, he will not be
<v Speaker 1>doing anything much different than what they have him doing now.
<v Speaker 1>It would just be a lateral move. Broley says Bedala
<v Speaker 1>was the one who first reported Mariah May leaving AW
<v Speaker 1>has been teasing Statlander potentially leaving AW suits first. I'm
<v Speaker 1>hearing about it. I haven't heard anything else about it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what her contract status is. If she
<v Speaker 1>becomes available, I think wwe would be crazy not to
<v Speaker 1>scoop her up. She would be a great addition to
<v Speaker 1>that roster. What would her name be? Half these people,
<v Speaker 1>they make them change their names. Half of them don't.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure she would be one of the people
<v Speaker 1>that would have to change her name. What would her
<v Speaker 1>new name be? Dry Chicken says, I dare Jade car
<v Speaker 1>Gill to bring a bag full of baby products send
<v Speaker 1>a message to the RIA defenders by calling them the
<v Speaker 1>RIA crybabies. Yeah, don't do that, Big Mo Jackson. I
<v Speaker 1>love Drew McIntyre, but I hate his booking. It's not fair. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look, you got your WWE title run. That's
<v Speaker 1>about as good as you're gonna get. Chris O'Neill thoughts
<v Speaker 1>on Ricky Sosa. Very talented young man, very excited to
<v Speaker 1>see how high he can climb. I'm very impressed by
<v Speaker 1>what I've seen. What was it the God? What did
<v Speaker 1>I see him use the other day? Wasn't the Blue Thunderbomb?
<v Speaker 1>It was like the Blue thunder Slam. I'm already a
<v Speaker 1>fan venom Ktetsu with two bucks. I ever played Smash
<v Speaker 1>TV or Total Carnage on arcade. I did not play
<v Speaker 1>Smash TV. I did play Total Carnage, but not in
<v Speaker 1>the arcade. I actually played it on MS DOS on
<v Speaker 1>a computer. Very different experience. I'm sure than playing it
<v Speaker 1>in the arcade. Josh Herman with a nine ninety nine. Hey, solo,
<v Speaker 1>where do you like to sit for wrestling events? I've
<v Speaker 1>only been to one and I sat on the floor
<v Speaker 1>a few rows back. But I found out once people
<v Speaker 1>stand up, it's hard to see the ring. Thanks for
<v Speaker 1>the advice. Well, especially if they have signs. If they
<v Speaker 1>stand up and they hold up their signs, that's a
<v Speaker 1>double whammye I mean, where do I like to sit?
<v Speaker 1>I like to sit in the front row if I could,
<v Speaker 1>if I could afford it, which if I went to
<v Speaker 1>a WWE show, I wouldn't. So if you're not in
<v Speaker 1>the front row, my advice is even the first two rows.
<v Speaker 1>You could be in the first two rows, that's great.
<v Speaker 1>Anything past that, it's not even worth it being on
<v Speaker 1>the floor. You want to be one level up. So
<v Speaker 1>what is that section one hundred or something that to me,
<v Speaker 1>that's the best place to be. You're still close, but
<v Speaker 1>you're not so close that your view is going to
<v Speaker 1>be obstructed. But it all comes down to your budget.
<v Speaker 1>If we're talking to WWE show, brother, I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>honestly don't think it's worth it to go to a
<v Speaker 1>WWE show at these prices, I think it's for the
<v Speaker 1>product that they are putting out right now. It is
<v Speaker 1>insulting the prices that they are charging. This week's episode
<v Speaker 1>is sponsored by WIS. We got to talk about Wis's
<v Speaker 1>new Harmony editor. This thing makes it incredibly easy to
<v Speaker 1>create a website from scratch, right down to the way
<v Speaker 1>that you always pictured it in your head. It's insane.
<v Speaker 1>I only wish this existed years ago and I created
<v Speaker 1>my first website. Would have saved me a lot of grief.
<v Speaker 1>It is the new way to create websites. You just
<v Speaker 1>type in a prompt and you can get yourself set
<v Speaker 1>up with a professional website in no time. And my
<v Speaker 1>favorite part is the way that it allows you to
<v Speaker 1>jump back and forth between AI and hands on editing
<v Speaker 1>whenever you want, so you get the speed and efficiency
<v Speaker 1>of AI and your own personal AI agent named Aria,
<v Speaker 1>along with the precision of your own hands so you
<v Speaker 1>stay in control of every little detail to help you
<v Speaker 1>build your site and manage your business, whatever that may be.
<v Speaker 1>It could be for your podcast like this one that
<v Speaker 1>you're listening to right now, It could be a to
<v Speaker 1>service anything, literally anything, and enjoy easy domain registration with
<v Speaker 1>web hosting included. It's the new way to create websites.
<v Speaker 1>Trust Wix with yours and see what they can do
<v Speaker 1>for you. Visit wis dot com slash harmony. That's wix
<v Speaker 1>dot com slash harmony. Broley Triple A should let talent
<v Speaker 1>help write their build, just like Punk Roman, Orton Cody
<v Speaker 1>are helping write their own build. Differences are night and day, yes,
<v Speaker 1>but that would negate the need for a creative team.
<v Speaker 1>They have people that they pay to do that sort
<v Speaker 1>of thing. It's one thing to have the talent give input,
<v Speaker 1>which I think is great, but also keep in mind
<v Speaker 1>that not everybody, you know, not everybody is going to
<v Speaker 1>put together something like Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho did
<v Speaker 1>when they put basically their whole few together in two
<v Speaker 1>thousand and eight. Not everybody has such a creative mind
<v Speaker 1>that that is a good idea. There are a lot
<v Speaker 1>of wrestlers and talents out there who have terrible ideas,
<v Speaker 1>and believe me, it could be a lot worse. So
<v Speaker 1>you got to be careful when you say that. You
<v Speaker 1>might have some guys that they got it up here,
<v Speaker 1>they're very creative, and then you may have some where
<v Speaker 1>it's like, Eh, yeah, that's not a good idea, let's
<v Speaker 1>not do that. But I think you want to work
<v Speaker 1>in concert with the creative team and give your input,
<v Speaker 1>and I think you do want to give the talent
<v Speaker 1>some flexibility to a point, you know, But you got
<v Speaker 1>to understand it. They have people whose job it is
<v Speaker 1>to come up with these ideas. They're just going to
<v Speaker 1>outsource it to the talent, then what's the point of
<v Speaker 1>having a creative team. Vibes and stuff. Cody fell forward again, Lesnar, Sena,
<v Speaker 1>and Orton all turned on him. When will he learn
<v Speaker 1>the ruthless aggression eraror can't be trusted? Well, I'll tell
<v Speaker 1>you you would think that now would be a good
<v Speaker 1>time to learn. If he did go, heal, he would
<v Speaker 1>have good reason. He's been turned on too many times
<v Speaker 1>by men. Let me rephrase that he's been turned on.
<v Speaker 1>He's been turned on by too many men. Here, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, forget this vibes and stuff. You know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean? We have TF Addict eighty six with
<v Speaker 1>a five dollars super chat Happy Friday the thirteenth solo.
<v Speaker 1>What's your favorite kill scene from Part six? Jason Lives Undead?
<v Speaker 1>Zombie Jason is the best. What do you think? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he's pretty cool. He's pretty cool. My favorite kill scene
<v Speaker 1>from part six I don't know. I think the sleeping
<v Speaker 1>bag scene was from part seven, right, and then they
<v Speaker 1>recreated it in Jason X. I don't know offhand. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I remember how they brought him back to
<v Speaker 1>life and Tommy went with his friend to go dig
<v Speaker 1>him up. But from part six, I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that I have one from part six. It's
<v Speaker 1>been a while since i've seen it. See all the
<v Speaker 1>see all the rainbow emojis for Cody in the chat
<v Speaker 1>Ah the r is that one? Okay? Yeah, okay, So
<v Speaker 1>the r V kill isn't that one? I think I'll
<v Speaker 1>go with that one with the face the face imprints
<v Speaker 1>in the r V, it might be that one. Cody
<v Speaker 1>is like Sting back in the day. He never learns.
<v Speaker 1>Sting never learned his lesson when it came to the horse,
<v Speaker 1>Eat Sleep, repeat, Eat, Sleep, Eat repeat. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>the dollar. Death Side says if Cody thought the rock
<v Speaker 1>gave him problems, well, sick prick Randy Orton will give
<v Speaker 1>him worse. Just ask the McMahon's Triple H Jeff Hardy
<v Speaker 1>and Sean Spears. Will I be at h Og in Vegas? Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I will. I will be there. I will be at
<v Speaker 1>the Palms Casino Resorts, and then I will be in
<v Speaker 1>Los Angeles two weeks later. I'll be at the Globe Theater.
<v Speaker 1>We got Ragnarok no Oba the Bella Twins wrestling for
<v Speaker 1>the titles next week, an eight month Wyatt's MFT feud
<v Speaker 1>Alex Shelley suddenly caring about Johnny. This show sucks, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it does. SmackDown sucks. Do with a super chat. Cody
<v Speaker 1>bleeds before every Mania Rock Sena and Orton. He's trying
<v Speaker 1>to do his part. He's trying to put some heat
<v Speaker 1>on this thing that sythe forgot to mention. Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>tried to set John Cena on fire at Bragging Rights.
<v Speaker 1>Then he tried to blow him up all right with
<v Speaker 1>the pyro that was in the Ironman match. Maybe Cody
<v Speaker 1>shall watch out when he does his woe. During his entrance,
<v Speaker 1>Basbeers says, have you seen the ovw incident? I have, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I'll talk about that on the sound of It's disgusting
<v Speaker 1>that side. Can we get a segment with Brett Hart
<v Speaker 1>and Drew McIntyre because Brett can lecture Drew about what
<v Speaker 1>it truly means to be screwed. I don't think Brett
<v Speaker 1>wants to have anything to do with this show. Hulkling
<v Speaker 1>ninety three. Me and my bro laughed our asses off
<v Speaker 1>for the recurring weekly segment. Sammy hates water bottles. They're
<v Speaker 1>always conveniently there after he gets angry. Yeah, that's become
<v Speaker 1>part of his stick now. The end of every interaction
<v Speaker 1>with Cody in the back, it's always a water bottle
<v Speaker 1>sitting nearby and he smacks it away. The sheltered kid,
<v Speaker 1>Let's take a moment to appreciate you for doing God's
<v Speaker 1>work by being our shield from awful shows. Five dollars
<v Speaker 1>is not enough to show thanks, but it's all I got. Well, brother,
<v Speaker 1>believe me, it's much appreciated. I appreciate you, Hulkling ninety three.
<v Speaker 1>Since last week, I've predicted Meechin and Beefab to link
<v Speaker 1>with Jade, mainly for Rhea to have bodies to lay
<v Speaker 1>waste to during the build more so than anything. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it could be Mechen as well. I'm just saying. In
<v Speaker 1>that one segment she was talking to be fab not
<v Speaker 1>mitchin Bace bears. We saw the carrion scarlet ripoff from
<v Speaker 1>a mile away tuxedo with the conveniently timed Bremode. Thank you, brother,
<v Speaker 1>you nailed that one. Death side. I've been staying sober
<v Speaker 1>since your TNA Impact review two months ago, but these
<v Speaker 1>shows are making it harder and harder not to give
<v Speaker 1>in and fall off the wagon. Well, don't do that.
<v Speaker 1>These shows are not worth it. You gotta stay the course.
<v Speaker 1>Let me be the one to fall off the wagon.
<v Speaker 1>I'm tempted myself. Cornell Bryant, I put a good word
<v Speaker 1>in for you, by the way, the other day, Cornell,
<v Speaker 1>it's like, yeah, ask me to Randy turned babyface Cody
<v Speaker 1>will get booed. Yes, it's exactly basically bass Beer says,
<v Speaker 1>do you think Darby Allen wakes up with back pain?
<v Speaker 1>I think Darby Allen wakes up with all kinds of
<v Speaker 1>pain because he has also said he's straight edged, so
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't take pain pills or anything. There's no way
<v Speaker 1>that you could put your body through the kind of
<v Speaker 1>abuse that he does and not wake up in just
<v Speaker 1>great pain. And you know what, that's hey, that's his
<v Speaker 1>cross to bear. I mean, that's that's his choice. He's
<v Speaker 1>not a stupid part wow. I mean he does stupid things,
<v Speaker 1>but he's not dumb enough to know that that isn't
<v Speaker 1>the consequence of what he does. So it's like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we all make choices in life. You know, sometimes people
<v Speaker 1>have to learn the hard way. Uh. Skip Bayless says
<v Speaker 1>USA Canada WBC game was more fun than SmackDown. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure it was. I one hundred percent believe that.
<v Speaker 1>I think on one of the channels I have access to,
<v Speaker 1>there's a fucking test pattern. I think that's more entertaining
<v Speaker 1>than SmackDown. I may watch that tonight. Shout out to Leo.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to be positive. I'm not happy about Keana
<v Speaker 1>taking the loss, but at least it wasn't a clean loss.
<v Speaker 1>I will I will say I am frustrated. It seems
<v Speaker 1>like she will not have a match of WrestleMania, and
<v Speaker 1>it's frustrating after the great year that she has had
<v Speaker 1>so far. I wouldn't say she's had a great if
<v Speaker 1>you're going back to last year, I wouldn't say it's
<v Speaker 1>been a great year. She had a great showing in
<v Speaker 1>the elimination chamber, and I think that she's got I
<v Speaker 1>think she's got a pretty high ceiling. But she's still
<v Speaker 1>very very early into her run. So if she hasn't
<v Speaker 1>have a match of WrestleMania this year, I don't look
<v Speaker 1>at it as any great thing because they haven't really
<v Speaker 1>focused on her too much, you know, And I think
<v Speaker 1>as long as she's still attached to Julia that will
<v Speaker 1>not be the case. But like by this time next
<v Speaker 1>year at WrestleMania, she should be in a better spot.
<v Speaker 1>I still think it's just very early for her. Like,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't get too discouraged if she's not If she's
<v Speaker 1>not in an actual match, she'll be nothing else. She'll
<v Speaker 1>be in Julia's corner for her match. But in terms
<v Speaker 1>of her not having a match herself, I wouldn't be
<v Speaker 1>too discouraged by that. Mactub Who do you? Who do
<v Speaker 1>you you more? Oh? I don't even know what you're
<v Speaker 1>trying to say? Who do you you more? Overall? And
<v Speaker 1>why I don't know what you're trying to say? Uh? Cool, bro,
<v Speaker 1>I was at the show. Cody got booed so bad.
<v Speaker 1>I'm shocked. I wouldn't say I'm shocked. I think that
<v Speaker 1>it was probably to be expected putting him in there
<v Speaker 1>with somebody like Randy who the fans love. Mac Tubbs says,
<v Speaker 1>why is that Hogan in eighty seven seemed more well
<v Speaker 1>known worldwide than Austin did in ninety eight, even though
<v Speaker 1>Attitude era is considered the peak of WWE and Austin
<v Speaker 1>was its face. It was the national expansion, and wrestling
<v Speaker 1>was just more mainstream in a way that it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>in the late nineties. You know, wrestling was very popular
<v Speaker 1>in the late nineties, and it was mainstream to a degree,
<v Speaker 1>but just not in the way that wrestling was or
<v Speaker 1>in specifically WWE when it got hot in the late eighties.
<v Speaker 1>Hogan really was the right guy in the right place
<v Speaker 1>at the right time. Why do you think Triple H
<v Speaker 1>has so many WrestleMania duds despite being a top star
<v Speaker 1>who has afforded the best conditions to excel H Well,
<v Speaker 1>I'll mean, look, there is a reason why Triple H
<v Speaker 1>is not on my Mount Rushmore. I think Triple H
<v Speaker 1>was very good. I think in some respects by some
<v Speaker 1>people he's overrated. Not to say that he wasn't very
<v Speaker 1>good and didn't have great matches. He did, but he
<v Speaker 1>was never that guy. You know, he was not Rock,
<v Speaker 1>he was not Austin, he was not that super charismatic,
<v Speaker 1>you know, just great dynamic performer. There was just there
<v Speaker 1>was an element there to him that was just missing,
<v Speaker 1>you know that the real top top guys had that
<v Speaker 1>he just didn't because he has he has had a
<v Speaker 1>lot of duds of WrestleMania, you know, him and Jericho
<v Speaker 1>in in the SkyDome. A lot of that had to
<v Speaker 1>do with their match going on last after Rock Hogan.
<v Speaker 1>No one was going to be able to follow that.
<v Speaker 1>That was a terrible decision putting that match on in
<v Speaker 1>the main event. I know why because it was for
<v Speaker 1>the title, but that was a terrible decision. They would
<v Speaker 1>have benefited greatly by going on earlier in the show.
<v Speaker 1>But I also think that when Triple H initially came
<v Speaker 1>back in OH two, he was all roided up and
<v Speaker 1>he just wasn't the same performer that he was when
<v Speaker 1>he left with the injury in two thousand and one.
<v Speaker 1>I always say, like in Ring two thousand, Triple H
<v Speaker 1>two thousand into two thousand and one, to me, that's
<v Speaker 1>peak Triple H. That is like Triple H at his
<v Speaker 1>physical peak as an in ring performer was during that
<v Speaker 1>period when he came back, he was too big, He
<v Speaker 1>put on too much muscle mass. It wasn't the same.
<v Speaker 1>He just wasn't working the same. Maybe the speed there
<v Speaker 1>were just there were certain elements to his style that
<v Speaker 1>when he decided to just right up and put on
<v Speaker 1>all that muscle mass, and I think that affected him too.
<v Speaker 1>Retro Koh, I think Cody should have been the one
<v Speaker 1>to turn. It would have been far more interesting. Okay, well,
<v Speaker 1>then who ends up in his place? Randy Orton? Forty
<v Speaker 1>seven year old Randy Orton? Really, who takes his place?
<v Speaker 1>He turned Cody into a superheel. Who takes his place?
<v Speaker 1>Who's that guy? Who's that guy doing all the appearances
<v Speaker 1>on the side of the truck that you build, you
<v Speaker 1>build the brand around, you build the company around. Who
<v Speaker 1>is that? Give me an answer? Uh? Omg, it's Winky
<v Speaker 1>Wi Whiz MZ and Dan Housen against Jelly Roll and
<v Speaker 1>Blank Jericho WrestleMania. Bro forgive my awful Vince Russo booking
<v Speaker 1>with how bad things are anything is possible? Is that
<v Speaker 1>is pretty bad? If that was the goal, you nailed it. Kreflow,
<v Speaker 1>rest in peace to the great Ernie anasts I'll never
<v Speaker 1>forget when he said keep fucking that chicken on Channel five.
<v Speaker 1>Ernie Anasts was a New York news icon. I remember
<v Speaker 1>Ernie Anastas as the anchor on Channel seven Eyewitnesses, and
<v Speaker 1>he was on multiple stations, but when I was younger,
<v Speaker 1>he was the anchor, one of the anchors on eyewitness
<v Speaker 1>news here. And to me, when I think of like
<v Speaker 1>news anchor, I think of Ernie Anastas, and yeah, he
<v Speaker 1>just passed away at eighty two the other day. Remember
<v Speaker 1>Ernie Anastis and Roz Abrams, Bill b Tell and Slipper
<v Speaker 1>House extra extra with a four ninety nine double Babyface
<v Speaker 1>versus baby Face wrestle many the main events. Triple H
<v Speaker 1>is still the top heel baby dragged my ass through
<v Speaker 1>broken glass. These quote storylines, death scythe clarify. Roman poisoned
<v Speaker 1>Stephanie's drink in twenty fourteen to get into a Battle Royal,
<v Speaker 1>where the winner qualified for a ladder match for the
<v Speaker 1>WWE title and money in the bet. What what are
<v Speaker 1>you talking about? He poisoned her drink to get into
<v Speaker 1>a match. I have no memory of this. Twenty fourteen
<v Speaker 1>is the year where he first split away from the Shield,
<v Speaker 1>he wrestled Randy Orton. Didn't he get that summer slim
<v Speaker 1>in twenty fourteen? When did he poison Stephanie's drink? I
<v Speaker 1>guess I've mentally blocked part of the Authority era out
<v Speaker 1>of my mind. I have no memory of that whatsoever,
<v Speaker 1>which is which is weird because I'm sure I talked
<v Speaker 1>about it and reviewed it on the SoundOff. But I've
<v Speaker 1>done a lot of these soundofs. I've done nine hundred
<v Speaker 1>and fifty four of them, so forgive me if I
<v Speaker 1>don't remember every detail. Bader Mohammad, we need Randy to
<v Speaker 1>deliver an RKO to Brandy Rhoades. Also, do you think
<v Speaker 1>he's winning at Mania to enhance the heel turn? I
<v Speaker 1>think he should. I don't know if he will, but
<v Speaker 1>I think he should also. I finished watching The Shield
<v Speaker 1>a few months ago. That was a great crime slash
<v Speaker 1>drama TV show. The Shield is one of my favorite,
<v Speaker 1>like top three TV shows of all time. Fucking love
<v Speaker 1>that show. I recommend it to anybody who has never
<v Speaker 1>seen it, and I have yet to have one person
<v Speaker 1>right me back and go, man, I wish you didn't
<v Speaker 1>tell me to watch that show. Man, what a waste
<v Speaker 1>of time, not once, not once, they all thank me
<v Speaker 1>for it, Mays the Great Solo. Even if the shows
<v Speaker 1>were great regularly, that still does not justify these prices.
<v Speaker 1>And even if this was prime attitude area, it would
<v Speaker 1>still be insane. Sure it would still be more tolerable
<v Speaker 1>at least, but I don't disagree. Have I seen the
<v Speaker 1>Wire I have. I didn't like it as much as
<v Speaker 1>the Shield. A lot of sitting around in a car doing nothing. Luis,
<v Speaker 1>I take back everything I said in the chat before
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown about Randy Orton being in the position John Cena
<v Speaker 1>was in for twenty plus years. Okay, I'm glad you
<v Speaker 1>got that off your chest, Luise, Mystic Jay. No offense
<v Speaker 1>to the man, But why is Jelly Roll always their
<v Speaker 1>go to guy? They love their celebrities, he likes wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>and so they're going to try to use him as
<v Speaker 1>much as possible. If you just watch the show every week,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they spend plenty of time making sure that
<v Speaker 1>you are aware of all of the celebrities that are
<v Speaker 1>in the crowd, even if it's somebody that you have
<v Speaker 1>never heard of before. They love showing them. Although they
<v Speaker 1>did show Mark Kerr. He was in the crowd tonight
<v Speaker 1>UFC Hall of Famer. He was the subject of the
<v Speaker 1>movie The Smashing Machine. He was there. Who else was there? Oh?
<v Speaker 1>Who's the girl that was there? She was holding that
<v Speaker 1>replica WWE belt upside down the silver belt. Yeah, they
<v Speaker 1>showed her in the crowd too, John Jay, am I
<v Speaker 1>the only one that doesn't like ring announcer Mark nash Man.
<v Speaker 1>I miss Samantha. Where would you rank her with Fink, Chimmel,
<v Speaker 1>Roberts and Garcia. I think I might have her behind think. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>in terms of WWE, I would put her behind think,
<v Speaker 1>which is crazy to say because it wasn't even something
<v Speaker 1>that she ever aspired to do. It just she was
<v Speaker 1>naturally great at it. She never wanted to be a
<v Speaker 1>ring announcer, She never wanted to be an announcer of
<v Speaker 1>any kind. And a mac tub think Heal Punk with
<v Speaker 1>Evil Triple H would be a good idea. No, No,
<v Speaker 1>I don't. I really don't have any desire to see
<v Speaker 1>Triple H as a character on the show at this point.
<v Speaker 1>And I just feel like if you did something like
<v Speaker 1>Corporate n I'm just not a big I'm just not
<v Speaker 1>a big fan of that. Somebody asked me about that recently.
<v Speaker 1>It's basically what it would be. It would be corporate punk.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, eh, I'm not feeling it. Hank. What pay
<v Speaker 1>per view do you recommend from the Vince Senior era?
<v Speaker 1>They didn't have pay per views back then, so I
<v Speaker 1>recommend none of them. But they did do a big
<v Speaker 1>show at Shay Stadium in nineteen eighty that had one
<v Speaker 1>of the earliest Hogan Andre matches. Not the earliest, but
<v Speaker 1>one of the earliest Hogan Andre matches was on that show.
<v Speaker 1>That was in nineteen eighty. I think that also had
<v Speaker 1>Bruno and Zubisco. I believe in the main event, pay
<v Speaker 1>per views did not become a thing until the mid eighties.
<v Speaker 1>I think Vince Senior was dead by then. He had
<v Speaker 1>closed circuit. Vanessa Hudgens, That's who it was. Well, we're
<v Speaker 1>currently sitting at five hundred and seventy nine likes. I
<v Speaker 1>believe the goal was four to sixty five. Yes, so
<v Speaker 1>we did beat that goal. Corporate punk in corporate Orton,
<v Speaker 1>Oh God, not that again. We already had corporate Orton.
<v Speaker 1>We had Orton with the authority. No thank you once
<v Speaker 1>was enough? Is it time? To be the booker it is.
<v Speaker 1>In just a second here, I gotta get to retro
<v Speaker 1>Koh though I admit I don't have an answer for
<v Speaker 1>who takes Cody spot. Nobody can. But Cody just feels
<v Speaker 1>like Rinse repeat for the past four WrestleManias seasons. I
<v Speaker 1>don't disagree. He hasn't really evolved his his character in
<v Speaker 1>any sort of meaningful way. Neither did Hogan for all
<v Speaker 1>those years. But it was a while before people started
<v Speaker 1>really booing Hogan. I mean, they really got a lot
<v Speaker 1>out of him during that first run. Cody is not Hogan.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't have the charisma that Hogan had. Cody has charisma,
<v Speaker 1>but it is a very different, more subtle charisma. Few
<v Speaker 1>people had the charisma that Hogan had. There's a reason
<v Speaker 1>why Hogan got over the way he did. Even though
<v Speaker 1>he looked at a young age. He looked like a
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, middle aged, middle aged, like washed up
<v Speaker 1>muscle beach bodybuilder, with you know, the fucking ring around
<v Speaker 1>his head. I think he came out of the womb
<v Speaker 1>like that, didn't exactly have the coolest look, but he
<v Speaker 1>made it work for him. Cody is not that. But
<v Speaker 1>like I said, they don't have that obvious person to
<v Speaker 1>step in and take his place, And so you got
<v Speaker 1>to look at it from a business perspective. It doesn't
<v Speaker 1>make any sense to turn him heel unless you have
<v Speaker 1>that person who can just step right into his shoes.
<v Speaker 1>Can't do that. Mactub. Do you think Savage is Rushmore
<v Speaker 1>level or just below? I'd like to say that he's
<v Speaker 1>on Rushmore, but I think he's probably just outside the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Like if you have four on Mount Rushmore, I probably
<v Speaker 1>have him at like five. I think he just misses
<v Speaker 1>the mark for me. But if you told me that
<v Speaker 1>he was on yours, I wouldn't disagree. Savage is one
<v Speaker 1>of my all time favorites. Savage and Brett are my
<v Speaker 1>two favorites of all time. To me, he was the
<v Speaker 1>perfect pro wrestler in many ways. I mean he could work.
<v Speaker 1>He could do it all really in the ring. I
<v Speaker 1>mean he could work. He could sell, very entertaining, very charismatic,
<v Speaker 1>great on promos, had that from the voice to everything else,
<v Speaker 1>like you can believe like that that's him, That's who
<v Speaker 1>he was, like he lived it, colorful outfits, he was great.
<v Speaker 1>It's time to be the booker, ladies. You gentlemen, it
<v Speaker 1>is now time to be the booker. Is La Knight
<v Speaker 1>stuck in mid card for life? Yes? Yes, he is
<v Speaker 1>just being honest with you. You don't want me to
<v Speaker 1>lie to you, now, do you? I only tell the truth.
<v Speaker 1>Savage is one of the rare few who covers every
<v Speaker 1>area of being a great wrestler. Honestly, when I think
<v Speaker 1>of that criterias, Savage and Kurt Angle come to mind.
<v Speaker 1>They did everything well. They got what wrestling is, and
<v Speaker 1>they excelled in every aspect of wrestling that you could
<v Speaker 1>think of. Kurt Kurt was one of those guys who
<v Speaker 1>he was a machine. He could wrestle obviously won a
<v Speaker 1>fucking gold medal with a broken neck. He could be
<v Speaker 1>the serious wrestling machine and he could also be the
<v Speaker 1>biggest goof on the planet. I can't tell you how
<v Speaker 1>many times I laughed out loud watching Kurt Angle segments
<v Speaker 1>when he first debuted, like those first couple of years,
<v Speaker 1>or even during the invasion stuff with Austin. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they're just there's some guys that just they check every
<v Speaker 1>single box that you could imagine. Randy Savage and Kurt
<v Speaker 1>Angle are the top two when it comes to that
<v Speaker 1>We have the Acclaimed former aw World Tag Team Champions
<v Speaker 1>also coming to House of Glory next weekend. The Acclaimed
<v Speaker 1>will be in action at SuperClash. Maybe we'll all Scissor together.
<v Speaker 1>Wouldn't that be something? Scissor be solid Monster the Acclaimed
<v Speaker 1>against men on a Mission Down says, I hope be
<v Speaker 1>the booker is better than SmackDown. Well, we're not off
<v Speaker 1>to a great start here. Women's be the booker. We
<v Speaker 1>have Charlotte Flair, who's going to be wrestling for the
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles this year. Hmm. Charlotte Flair's opponent is
<v Speaker 1>who Alexa Bliss? Look at that I had the balls
<v Speaker 1>to do a wwe wouldn't do a WrestleMania. I'm putting
<v Speaker 1>them together in a one on one. No where's Bliss fan?
<v Speaker 1>Bliss Fan's gonna love this. Charlotte Flair against Alexa Bliss.
<v Speaker 1>There you go. See that should have been the WrestleMania match.
<v Speaker 1>So be the booker knows. There you go, predicting the future.
<v Speaker 1>All right, tiebreaker, no clean sweep tonight, but we gotta
<v Speaker 1>get the tiebreaker. Big Eie former WWE champion Big Ee
<v Speaker 1>Actually I think he's isn't he a Grand Slam or
<v Speaker 1>Triple Crown. He's WWE champion, he was an intercontinental champion.
<v Speaker 1>I believe tag team champion, Money in the bank winner, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>big ee against the Undertaker Purple Glove Undertaker. This is
<v Speaker 1>nineteen ninety four. Undertaker ninety four into ninety five. I
<v Speaker 1>could tell just by the gloves. When did he stop
<v Speaker 1>using the purple gloves. It was in ninety five, right,
<v Speaker 1>because I don't remember him wearing them in ninety six. No,
<v Speaker 1>maybe he was wearing them in ninety six though, because
<v Speaker 1>he didn't go back to the gray until ninety seven
<v Speaker 1>for that WrestleMania. Yeah, maybe he did wear them into
<v Speaker 1>ninety six. I guess this could be. Actually, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>I think I'm wrong. I think this is nineteen ninety six.
<v Speaker 1>Now that I think about it, I believe this is
<v Speaker 1>nineteen ninety six because it looks like I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>It's funny how I could kind of look at a
<v Speaker 1>photo and tell I think this might have been during
<v Speaker 1>his Mankind feud. Yeah. Anyway, two out of three is
<v Speaker 1>not bad. A nice little recovery there for be the Booker,
<v Speaker 1>But we didn't hit the bonus goals, so unfortunately tonight
<v Speaker 1>we only get the one round, but we will try
<v Speaker 1>again on Sunday night because we have the aw Revolution
<v Speaker 1>pay per view Texas Death for MJF. It's gonna get bloody,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to get violent. Can't be an easy thing
<v Speaker 1>to do when you have a match like this and
<v Speaker 1>you have to wait until all those other matches all
<v Speaker 1>the I mean, everyone's going out there trying to just
<v Speaker 1>have a banger after banger after banger. They're just doing
<v Speaker 1>everything right. They're throwing the kitchen sink out there, and
<v Speaker 1>then it's like eleven thirty at night and you got
<v Speaker 1>to go out there and have a Texas Deathmatch and
<v Speaker 1>bleed all over the place. Can't be an easy thing
<v Speaker 1>to do. My thoughts on WWE signing Nicki Blackheart what
<v Speaker 1>I have seen of her, she's very impressive. I would say,
<v Speaker 1>I hope they don't change her name, but I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>they will. They had Shatzi black Heart and eventually they
<v Speaker 1>just shortened it to Shatsi, So I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>name they're gonna give her, but I don't know that
<v Speaker 1>it'll be as cool as Nicki Blackhart. Yes, Revolution is
<v Speaker 1>running opposite the Academy Awards on Sunday, and they're both
<v Speaker 1>in Los Angeles too, they're the same city. But again,
<v Speaker 1>Revolution it sounds like they've already exceeded eleven thousand tickets,
<v Speaker 1>which is good. Their pay per views generally do sell well. No,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think Biggie ever won the US title. I'm
<v Speaker 1>pretty sure he won the ICY title. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>he ever won the US title. I have ever seen
<v Speaker 1>the Big Show movie Knucklehead. No, I heard of it,
<v Speaker 1>I never watched it. I didn't see the Triple H
<v Speaker 1>movie either where he's a bus driver or something. Right,
<v Speaker 1>wasn't he like a bus driver? That looked terrible? I
<v Speaker 1>didn't watch that either. I honestly think the only like
<v Speaker 1>B level straight to DVD movies I saw from like
<v Speaker 1>WWE people back then was a stone cold He did
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of them Hard to Kill God. There were
<v Speaker 1>so many of them. I watched like two or three
<v Speaker 1>of them. They were cheesy as hell, but I enjoyed them. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, I saw a really good movie last
<v Speaker 1>night by One Night where I don't have to do
<v Speaker 1>a show. And there was an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie that
<v Speaker 1>came out in twenty thirteen called The Last stand actually
<v Speaker 1>a very enjoyable movie. Had him in it. Johnny Knoxville
<v Speaker 1>was in it. God, who was it? It was Schwarzenegger.
<v Speaker 1>It was Johnny Knoxville. I forgot the other There's a
<v Speaker 1>one more name in there. I think Louise Guzman is
<v Speaker 1>in there too, but I forgot the name of the
<v Speaker 1>other person. I enjoyed it. It was actually a very
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was a very enjoyable movie. Oh what
<v Speaker 1>Forrest Whittaker. Yeah, Forest Whitaker is in there. He played
<v Speaker 1>an aging police chief in some little po dunk town somewhere.
<v Speaker 1>A Rambo prequel is in the works. Gotta be awfully
<v Speaker 1>hard to use Schwartzenegger for that one. I think The
<v Speaker 1>Rundown was WWE's best movie. Was The Rundown of WWE film.
<v Speaker 1>I guess it might it might have fallen under their
<v Speaker 1>studio and that wasn't a bad one. Luis says, don't
<v Speaker 1>call the Staples Center by that vomit inducing Nay, Oh
<v Speaker 1>you mean the Crypto dot com arena? Is that the one?
<v Speaker 1>You know? They were in Arizona today? Do we still
<v Speaker 1>have the talking stick? Is that still a thing? Remember
<v Speaker 1>the talking stick? I think that's like a resort in Casino.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing is worse than guaranteed Rate Field. I guess they
<v Speaker 1>call it the Rate. Is that what people in Chicago
<v Speaker 1>call it? The Rate? What a terrible fucking name. They
<v Speaker 1>already cast some young guy to play Rambo. Well you
<v Speaker 1>kind of have to. You got no choice. You gotta
<v Speaker 1>you gotta get somebody young to play Rambo in a prequel.
<v Speaker 1>New Names thinks I want my staples? Say yes, I
<v Speaker 1>want my old corporate name back. I want the old
<v Speaker 1>corporate name to replace the new corporate name. It's just
<v Speaker 1>Rate Field now. Really, somehow that's even worse Great Field,
<v Speaker 1>It just gets worse. Braves play at Trust Park. No,
<v Speaker 1>it's true, isn't it truest truest Park, not Trust Park.
<v Speaker 1>The arena is now Mortgage Matchup Center. No more talking
<v Speaker 1>stick Mortgage matchup Center. It's fucked up to make a
<v Speaker 1>Rambo prequel, considering he was traumatized by war. Never should
<v Speaker 1>have had sequels. What's the worst WWE movie? The SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>that I just watched tonight. Remember they make movies, they
<v Speaker 1>make movies. I miss the days when baseball fields were
<v Speaker 1>just named after old, dead white guys. It was a
<v Speaker 1>much simpler time back then, SmackDown was longer than most movies. Yes, sadly,
<v Speaker 1>you're right. Actually, SmackDown is about the length of The Batman,
<v Speaker 1>which I still haven't watched. I would have been better
<v Speaker 1>off watching The Batman tonight and then going live and
<v Speaker 1>doing a review. In the original cut of Rambo, he
<v Speaker 1>deleted himself at the end. Is that true? I didn't
<v Speaker 1>know that. What do you think Stone Cold Steve Austin
<v Speaker 1>does on Monday Night? If he shows up, well, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I'm hope for an interaction with him in punk on
<v Speaker 1>the show. But it's interesting. If he shows up, he's
<v Speaker 1>going to be on a show that is going to
<v Speaker 1>have brock Lesner and Roman Reigns like they're expecting some
<v Speaker 1>of the big names back Tomorrow night or Tomorrow night,
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night. I don't even know what day of the
<v Speaker 1>week it is. Have I seen War of the World
<v Speaker 1>with Ice Cube? I heard that was one of the
<v Speaker 1>worst movies ever made. I find that very hard to
<v Speaker 1>believe in a world where Battlefield Earth exists that it
<v Speaker 1>would be worse than Battlefield Earth. But either it's worse
<v Speaker 1>or almost as bad as Battlefield Earth. Is that true?
<v Speaker 1>I stayed away from it. I didn't want to waste
<v Speaker 1>my time with it. He won't be riding a four
<v Speaker 1>wheeler now, he will not an Austin Danhausen segment. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but then what happens if he curses Austin? Wow, the
<v Speaker 1>Batman is second only to The Dark Night? Is that true?
<v Speaker 1>I just wish it wasn't so damn long. Three hours.
<v Speaker 1>It's like I remember seeing The Watchman and I'm like, God,
<v Speaker 1>this movie it just never fucking ends, Like it's just
<v Speaker 1>too long. And then apparently the director's cut was even longer.
<v Speaker 1>Austin can't drink beer, so he puts a curse on Austin.
<v Speaker 1>And then every time Austin tries to drink beer, he
<v Speaker 1>gets Mantezuma's revenge. Now that would be a curse. If
<v Speaker 1>he curses Austin, the beer will be flat. Do you
<v Speaker 1>think Sinners wins for Best Picture? Well, look, it's hard
<v Speaker 1>to say. I mean, I can't say that I've seen
<v Speaker 1>all the nominees or anything, but I have seen Sinners
<v Speaker 1>and I enjoyed it very much. Do I think Sinners
<v Speaker 1>is the best movie of the year? Again, I haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen all of the candidates. I find it hard to
<v Speaker 1>believe it's the best movie of the year. I enjoyed it.
<v Speaker 1>Though it should win some awards. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>it's up for. Michael says, I've seen all the movies
<v Speaker 1>nominated for Best Pictures. Sinners should win. All right, that's fine.
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed it. Good soundtrack too. Have Austin spoke weed
<v Speaker 1>instead of beer. They always go for the pretentious movies
<v Speaker 1>that critics love but are boring as hell. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>still feel like Mickey Rourke should have won for the wrestler.
<v Speaker 1>Sean Penn win right for like Milk? Was that what happened?
<v Speaker 1>Mickey Rourke should have won for the wrestler. I maintained
<v Speaker 1>that old fashioned with makers. This man has style anyway,
<v Speaker 1>good shit. We can go all night with this. But
<v Speaker 1>imagine naming your movie Milk. Well, you know that's not
<v Speaker 1>my favorite movie. I'm staying far away from that hit
<v Speaker 1>that like button on your way out again. I will
<v Speaker 1>see for sound of nine fifty five's and we drop
<v Speaker 1>it on Sunday and then Sunday night for the Rebel review.
<v Speaker 1>Cameron Spencer, coming in Hot four ninety nine, says, why
<v Speaker 1>are you against doing Omas and oba at Mania? You'll
<v Speaker 1>get on board. Eventually, No, I won't. It's adorable that
<v Speaker 1>you think I will, but I won't. Watch the new
<v Speaker 1>twenty eight years later movie Shure rename SmackDown that soon
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna be reviewing smack that I'll start out looking
<v Speaker 1>like this, and then I'll come on the stream and
<v Speaker 1>have like a big white beard. I'll look like Gandalf.
<v Speaker 1>Fucking shows are so long. Anyway, I'll see you guys
<v Speaker 1>back here live on Sunday nights. Take care,
