<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katie and Josh one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Well.
<v Speaker 1>By far, the biggest trending news of the morning is
<v Speaker 1>DQ celebrating their annual Free Cone Day today to mark
<v Speaker 1>the arrival of spring tomorrow. Customers can roll in and
<v Speaker 1>receive one free small vanilla soft serve cone at participating
<v Speaker 1>non mall DQ locations nationwide, no purchase necessary.
<v Speaker 3>I take the kids over there generally every year to
<v Speaker 3>do that, but then I feel guilty and to buy it,
<v Speaker 3>like eight blizzards before I leave. Yeah, throw a.
<v Speaker 1>Cake on there too, Hey know, Dilly bars, Jilly bars.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, let's go. Let's go.
<v Speaker 4>We were Actually you could probably help us with this argument.
<v Speaker 4>Your parents owned a DQ back in the day. So
<v Speaker 4>can you dip it in cherry the cone, wait for
<v Speaker 4>that to harden, and then go ahead and dip it
<v Speaker 4>in chocolate, wait for that to harden, and then go
<v Speaker 4>ahead and dip it in butterscotches that allow?
<v Speaker 1>Well, I don't know if it's allowed if you come
<v Speaker 1>up and order it, I know behind the scene, like
<v Speaker 1>when we were closed, I would do that.
<v Speaker 3>I think you probably could.
<v Speaker 5>It's not gonna mess up the cherry dip or anything, though.
<v Speaker 3>I think if it hardens and you do it fast enough.
<v Speaker 5>It's OK. I might ask them to do that for
<v Speaker 5>me today, just to see.
<v Speaker 1>I would love to just walk in and say, can
<v Speaker 1>I stick my fist in the cherry sauce and put
<v Speaker 1>it and just lick my hand for the rest of
<v Speaker 1>the day. The cherry sauce was always my favorite. I
<v Speaker 1>always would used to get like just a little cup
<v Speaker 1>of soft surf. I would drizzle the cherry sauce all
<v Speaker 1>over it.
<v Speaker 5>Butterscotch is mine?
<v Speaker 1>Check that one.
<v Speaker 3>Butterscotch so good.
<v Speaker 1>Free cone day at Dairy Queen if you want to go,
<v Speaker 1>treat yourself or your kiddos. So it's no secret I'm
<v Speaker 1>not that big of a sports guy. So when this
<v Speaker 1>whole March madness thing rolls around.
<v Speaker 3>I kind of check out.
<v Speaker 5>I love it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't pay attention to any of it. I couldn't
<v Speaker 1>tell you who's in it, who's playing or whatever. But
<v Speaker 1>the one thing I do like to do when we're
<v Speaker 1>talking about sports ball and you know, talking about what
<v Speaker 1>team is playing what team, I always focus on the colors.
<v Speaker 1>So whatever color their uniform is, this is the team
<v Speaker 1>I generally root for.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, a lot of people do that this time of
<v Speaker 5>year or.
<v Speaker 1>The team with the better mascot yep is generally. I
<v Speaker 1>was like, that's a way cooler mascot.
<v Speaker 5>Huh Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So when this song popped up this morning a little
<v Speaker 1>jar on sports here, I was like, I gotta play this.
<v Speaker 1>Some dude went and sang all sixty four mascots in
<v Speaker 1>this year's NCAA Men's basketball tournament.
<v Speaker 3>He sang all in about forty second. Oh he has
<v Speaker 3>no jen. You like, how can you not play that
<v Speaker 3>on the air? So here you go.
<v Speaker 2>Horn Frocks, tubul Dot, Jay Hawks and Hawkeys, Blue Devil's, Bilikins, Bruins,
<v Speaker 2>Panders and by Guy's Red Hawks, Red Raiders, Red Storm,
<v Speaker 2>Crimson Tide, Biting the Line, Eye, Rember Warriors, on the Pride, Royals, Raiders, Rams, Razorbacks,
<v Speaker 2>Husky's Huskers, three Wildcats, Cowboys, Long Horns, Bulls, Broncos, Apt
<v Speaker 2>to buy Sien, They're still thirty two to go, Boiler Makers, Cyclones, Hurricanes,
<v Speaker 2>Al Sharks and Gators, Commodhors, Cardinals and the Cavaliers, Wolververines,
<v Speaker 2>Vandals and the Volunteers, comed Enscales, Bigger Saints, Lancers, Cougar Swice, Tigers,
<v Speaker 2>Ie three Panthers from two Megas to the Zimpstat's ride
<v Speaker 2>them down your record six March madness.
<v Speaker 3>That's jar on sports right there, that's three sports. I
<v Speaker 3>can get on board with. That guy nailed it.
<v Speaker 5>I didn't hear duke wait for two.
<v Speaker 3>It was one of the first ones.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, next to a fighting a LINEI what.
<v Speaker 3>We good? Okay, Yeah, they're right there in the front.
<v Speaker 1>So that's going on in the world of movies. The
<v Speaker 1>New Disney CEO, Josh something or other. Uh, he said
<v Speaker 1>there's gonna be a new Lelo and Stitch movie coming out.
<v Speaker 3>In May of twenty twenty eight. Lelo and Stitch too. Wow,
<v Speaker 3>that's a great name for it.
<v Speaker 1>Uh. The first one received or pulled in about a
<v Speaker 1>billion dollars at the global box office. They got a
<v Speaker 1>couple of my bucks. I took my daughter to see it.
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was pure garbage, but I guess some
<v Speaker 1>people liked it. Really, why are you looking at me
<v Speaker 1>like that?
<v Speaker 3>I love that face because.
<v Speaker 4>Lelo and Stitch are just like, always money, always money.
<v Speaker 3>He's a cute little character he is.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and their whole Ohannah means fit, you know what
<v Speaker 4>I mean? Like the whole meeting of mamily okay, and
<v Speaker 4>I loved it.
<v Speaker 3>This is more right up my alley.
<v Speaker 1>Incredibles three is set for June sixteenth of twenty twenty eight,
<v Speaker 1>almost exactly ten years since Incredibles two.
<v Speaker 3>That's one of my favorite.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, that's a good movie too. That baby's hilarious.
<v Speaker 1>Like Jack Jabe and the roller coaster at Disneyland in
<v Speaker 1>credit coaster pretty great.
<v Speaker 3>It's so good, you guys. That's the one we went on.
<v Speaker 1>And it's been a few years, but we're like with
<v Speaker 1>my daughter, we're like, is she old enough to be
<v Speaker 1>on a coaster? And she just made the cutoff, just
<v Speaker 1>made it to get on the coaster and it's upside
<v Speaker 1>down and twist and fast, you know, because it's based
<v Speaker 1>on Jack Jack Yeah, really fast, and so we're like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's do it. So she sat next to me and
<v Speaker 1>I looked over at one point and she had passed out.
<v Speaker 3>Oh oh no, baby, yeah, I know.
<v Speaker 1>And it scared the hell out of me because I
<v Speaker 1>watched stir like, I looked over and we did the
<v Speaker 1>thing and she went and she just passed out, and
<v Speaker 1>I put my arm over on her just to like
<v Speaker 1>keep holding her in, and I was like I don't
<v Speaker 1>think we're gonna do that one anything, stomp the that one.
<v Speaker 5>Ever, We're gonna wait, tell you grow more for that one.
<v Speaker 3>Did you have fun? Yeah, it was great. It's not
<v Speaker 3>the happiest place on her.
<v Speaker 1>Tell me all right, what else we got?
<v Speaker 5>There's a rattlesnake. Oh my gosh.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, but no, they are on the trails even earlier
<v Speaker 4>this year because of the hot weather. So they're putting
<v Speaker 4>out some warnings as far as rattlesnakes because they are scary.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if you've ever came across one, just
<v Speaker 4>out in the open and you don't expect it.
<v Speaker 5>That little rattle that they have. It almost like lulls
<v Speaker 5>you to sleep, a little, like.
<v Speaker 3>Wives till they're actually incredibly friendly.
<v Speaker 5>You're funny, but.
<v Speaker 4>No, like that rattle is so like it'll catch you
<v Speaker 4>off guard and then once.
<v Speaker 5>You realize what it is, it is terrifying.
<v Speaker 4>But they say usually in the evening hours is when
<v Speaker 4>you're gonna see them, because you know they're not out
<v Speaker 4>and about during the day, but they will be sitting
<v Speaker 4>on like rocks and whatnot, just because yeah, for the
<v Speaker 4>sun they need all that heat.
<v Speaker 1>But they say, seriously, though, just try to sit down
<v Speaker 1>and have a conversation with one.
<v Speaker 4>That's not what they say. They actually tell you follow
<v Speaker 4>the thirty by thirty rules. So you stay thirty feet away,
<v Speaker 4>you do not try and talk to the snake, and
<v Speaker 4>then you also give it thirty seconds to get out
<v Speaker 4>of the way. Okay, So that's what they say.
<v Speaker 5>You should do when it comes to the snakes. And
<v Speaker 5>also don't try and move them.
<v Speaker 4>Act never say that's when you get bit is when
<v Speaker 4>you try and touch the snake.
<v Speaker 3>So if you see, you're not supposed to throw things
<v Speaker 3>at him either. Oh, that was what I read.
<v Speaker 1>It was funny because last year Nina, who's on in
<v Speaker 1>the Evenings here on Mix, she posted a video of
<v Speaker 1>her up at Red Rocks and there was some rattlesnake
<v Speaker 1>on the trail that she was hiking on and she
<v Speaker 1>started throwing things at it trying to get it to move.
<v Speaker 1>And I immediately sent her a link on why you
<v Speaker 1>should not be throwing things at rattlesnakes. Yeah, because it
<v Speaker 1>just pisses them off.
<v Speaker 5>It does.
<v Speaker 3>Don't do that and they're very I like the people
<v Speaker 3>throwing sand at me or something exactly.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, don't be silly, but definitely that thirty by thirty
<v Speaker 4>rule is a good one to follow.
<v Speaker 3>That again, thirty feet, so.
<v Speaker 4>Stay away thirty feet from the rattlesnake and then give
<v Speaker 4>it thirty seconds to move out of the way.
<v Speaker 5>So they're saying that's a good rule to follow.
<v Speaker 1>Same with those creepers at the bars, ladies, thirty thirty
<v Speaker 1>by thirty.
<v Speaker 3>Exact guy at the bar.
<v Speaker 5>That's where it sounded familiar.
<v Speaker 3>One too many, thirty feet away.
<v Speaker 5>Give them thirty seconds.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, give them thirty seconds. He'll up.
<v Speaker 4>That's all they need. Thirty seconds, all right. Two teens
<v Speaker 4>got arrested this week.
<v Speaker 5>You see this.
<v Speaker 4>They broke into a middle school. Happened in Westminster. So
<v Speaker 4>officers got report of a break in at More Middle
<v Speaker 4>School and when they got there, they didn't see anything,
<v Speaker 4>but they're smart.
<v Speaker 5>Dog they had with them got.
<v Speaker 4>Worked up about the ceiling and then they found the
<v Speaker 4>two teenagers in the ceiling.
<v Speaker 5>They were hiding in there.
<v Speaker 3>Let's get in the ceiling exactly.
<v Speaker 4>And they don't know why they broke in, probably some
<v Speaker 4>kind of vandalism that they were looking to get into.
<v Speaker 4>But they didn't list the charges either when they arrested them, so.
<v Speaker 3>Well, they're miners, right, they can't exactly.
<v Speaker 1>So the big thing right now, since I'm enthralled in
<v Speaker 1>the middle school lifestyle is, uh, they're really into urban exploring.
<v Speaker 3>That's probably it.
<v Speaker 1>My son is constantly every time we drive by an
<v Speaker 1>abandoned building, he's like, can we go urban exploring?
<v Speaker 2>There?
<v Speaker 3>Can we go in there? They're chearing this church down
<v Speaker 3>by us? He's like, let's go urban explore. I was like, no, no,
<v Speaker 3>I don't need to be on the newsbody scary.
<v Speaker 4>The adventures that though those guys go on are like
<v Speaker 4>a lot of.
<v Speaker 3>Stuff is like super unstable. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I know a guy particular who does this, and
<v Speaker 4>he said, he's like, man, you could get lost, like
<v Speaker 4>some of the tunnels that they have, oh some of those.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, but like if you're going into an old mall
<v Speaker 3>and stuff, that's fun.
<v Speaker 4>That's like it's extreme some of the stuff that they do.
<v Speaker 1>But oh, I just want to go into an old
<v Speaker 1>circuit city, different tunnels, that is different.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, you know what they did find what? Oh my goodness,
<v Speaker 4>I think this was in Arvada. Yeah, in Arvada they
<v Speaker 4>found out one hundred and fourteen cats in a now
<v Speaker 4>condemned home over the past week. So and that's just
<v Speaker 4>the cats they were able to corral. Anyone who's tried
<v Speaker 4>to catch a cat will tell you it's not easy, right, Like,
<v Speaker 4>they try and get away. So the officers were able
<v Speaker 4>to get one hundred and fourteen cats. They believe there's
<v Speaker 4>even more out and about, but they were able to
<v Speaker 4>get those one hundred and fourteen to shelters and places
<v Speaker 4>that they can get services.
<v Speaker 1>So definitely a sickness, that's a mental illness to have
<v Speaker 1>that many. And I was watching the story on this
<v Speaker 1>and the neighbors were complaining because of how bad the
<v Speaker 1>house smelled.
<v Speaker 3>And you could smell it from the outside. Yes, like
<v Speaker 3>walking by just stunk.
<v Speaker 4>You can imagine like someone with one cat the minute
<v Speaker 4>you walk into that house, if you can smell it,
<v Speaker 4>you can smell it. So imagine one hundred and fourteen.
<v Speaker 1>Cats just going everywhere the house and yeah, dead, some
<v Speaker 1>of them were dead, yes.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, And the officer said it was uninhabitable, like the
<v Speaker 4>way the house looked was just and now condemned as
<v Speaker 4>you can see. So yeah, thankfully those cats were able
<v Speaker 4>to home homes. And that being said, it is the
<v Speaker 4>Cat Fest in Loveland this weekend. The Catfest going on, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>because I thought you'd like what goes on at the
<v Speaker 4>cat is going to be at the Ranch Events Complex
<v Speaker 4>in Loveland, and they're going to have a floor show,
<v Speaker 4>adoption booths and more.
<v Speaker 3>What's going on with the floor show.
<v Speaker 5>So there, it's a sold out floor show. And that's
<v Speaker 5>the thing when they have cat shows.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what that means, because again, anyone who's
<v Speaker 4>had a cat nos, they don't listen to you.
<v Speaker 5>They do want the cats exactly.
<v Speaker 4>So the fact that they actually have a cat show
<v Speaker 4>it intrigues me as well. But they also have a
<v Speaker 4>kitten yoga area, a cat video cafe, and an Egyptian
<v Speaker 4>cat temple.
<v Speaker 3>Kill me.
<v Speaker 4>It knew you'd love to kill me. That's Saturday in Loveland.
<v Speaker 4>So come on down, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Come on down, Catfest, check me out, chalk.
<v Speaker 2>Check.
<v Speaker 3>I like che Do working in now I'm going to see.
<v Speaker 4>Check me out now, down dout, doun bout out down
<v Speaker 4>out down then countdown.
<v Speaker 1>You're not gonna find this kind of quality entertainment anywhere
<v Speaker 1>else on.
<v Speaker 3>The Denver radio dial. I'll tell you that much.
<v Speaker 5>Right, Get that cat a record deal. That's funny, guys.
<v Speaker 3>That's the hype. Thank you very much. Fun stuff today,
<v Speaker 3>all right.

<v Speaker 1>those people that tries one hundred sometimes every morning, be
<v Speaker 1>ready to call in at seven point thirty for Fast five.

<v Speaker 1>the Mix one hundred March matchness.
