<v Speaker 1>Welcome to But I'm a Lesbian, the podcast where we
<v Speaker 1>serve all batty SaaS, queer film reviews, and everything in between.
<v Speaker 1>Whether you're a baby, gay or.
<v Speaker 2>A queer elder, we're here, we're clear, and we're diving
<v Speaker 2>deep into all things lesbian.
<v Speaker 1>We're your hosts, Caitlin and Angelina.
<v Speaker 2>Get ready for some sapphig seratonin. Okay, today's episode is
<v Speaker 2>another movie from twenty twenty. I guess I keep thinking
<v Speaker 2>that movies from twenty twenty were made during COVID, but
<v Speaker 2>they were made before COVID and then we watched them
<v Speaker 2>during like lockdown time. Because yeah, so this movie is
<v Speaker 2>from twenty twenty.
<v Speaker 3>It is called a New York Christmas Wedding.
<v Speaker 2>It features time travel or timeline shifting.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like, yeah, like time yeah.
<v Speaker 3>More so than time travel.
<v Speaker 2>But anyway, I'm still gonna talk about time travel because
<v Speaker 2>I felt like it. Uh, if you could go back
<v Speaker 2>in time and redo your life, would you and if so,
<v Speaker 2>where would you go back to?
<v Speaker 1>Okay? I feel like if I had the knowledge of
<v Speaker 1>things that I do now for things that I would
<v Speaker 1>want to happen back then, then I would. But other
<v Speaker 1>than that, no, like if I had to go back
<v Speaker 1>and redo it. I wouldn't want to have to go
<v Speaker 1>through all that again because I'm just like I'm already here.
<v Speaker 1>Might as well, you know, continue on.
<v Speaker 2>It's not like, you know, where would you go back
<v Speaker 2>to if if you had the knowledge, you had your
<v Speaker 2>lifetime of knowledge.
<v Speaker 1>I would go back to high school probably, yeah, I know,
<v Speaker 1>even though high school sucks.
<v Speaker 2>I know, but when we make really interesting choices, I feel.
<v Speaker 1>No exactly, I feel like that's like the it was
<v Speaker 1>important time. I guess for some people, not for everybody.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, yeah, for a lot.
<v Speaker 1>What about you? Would you go back?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah? And I would do the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>I would go back to high school because I don't
<v Speaker 2>know that I specifically talked about this, but I think
<v Speaker 2>I kind of did on another episode, but like it's stupid,
<v Speaker 2>like I shouldn't. I don't dwell on it as much anymore.
<v Speaker 2>But like I feel like I feel like I kind
<v Speaker 2>of fucked my life up during high.
<v Speaker 3>School because like I.
<v Speaker 2>Always did well in school and I never got into trouble,
<v Speaker 2>and then I was in this era where I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to be cool, and I thought to be cool, I
<v Speaker 2>had to like start drinking and doing drugs and stuff,
<v Speaker 2>and so I did that, and then I also thought,
<v Speaker 2>you know what else is cool?
<v Speaker 3>Not going to school?
<v Speaker 2>And so then I failed like an entire semester of
<v Speaker 2>my sophomore year, partly because I got a fight with
<v Speaker 2>these girls.
<v Speaker 3>Did I talk about my friends?
<v Speaker 1>Yes today?
<v Speaker 2>So they told me if I went back to that school,
<v Speaker 2>they were gonna kick my ass.
<v Speaker 3>And I was like, oh shit. So I told my
<v Speaker 3>dad I can't go back to that.
<v Speaker 2>School, and I told him to enroll me in a
<v Speaker 2>different school because the town had multiple high schools. But
<v Speaker 2>because my dad procrastinates, he didn't enroll me in school
<v Speaker 2>until like May. So this was like I missed like
<v Speaker 2>February to May of my sophomore year, so I failed
<v Speaker 2>every class and so that severely impacted. Like if I
<v Speaker 2>were to try to go to for your college right
<v Speaker 2>out of high school, I probably wouldn't have gotten into anywhere.
<v Speaker 2>And then I had this mentality that I didn't care
<v Speaker 2>and I was going to be I was going to
<v Speaker 2>grow up to be a suicide girl.
<v Speaker 3>So I didn't you didn't need school. I just needed
<v Speaker 3>to be hot.
<v Speaker 2>So was like spend time trying to be like skinny
<v Speaker 2>and pretty and like drinking and partying, and so then
<v Speaker 2>my whole junior year, my grades were like really bad,
<v Speaker 2>like I passed, but I got like all d's and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>And then my senior year, I was like, wait, I'm
<v Speaker 2>literally smart, why was I doing this? And so then
<v Speaker 2>I like locked in and I got straight a's. But
<v Speaker 2>then I was like it's too late, you know. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and then I didn't go to college, and so I
<v Speaker 2>wish that I could redo it in that I wish
<v Speaker 2>I could go back to my sophomore year not start
<v Speaker 2>drinking and being crazy. I wish that instead of drinking
<v Speaker 2>and being crazy, I was adamant that my parents take
<v Speaker 2>me to a psychologist or a psychiatrist because I had
<v Speaker 2>really bad undiagnosed OCD and social anxiety. And that's why
<v Speaker 2>I drank alcohol. And then I was a binge drinker
<v Speaker 2>for fifteen years because I started using alcohol to try
<v Speaker 2>to be like normal in social situations. So point being,
<v Speaker 2>if I had the knowledge that I had, I would
<v Speaker 2>go back. I would probably I would never drink, and
<v Speaker 2>I would go to school, and but I would have
<v Speaker 2>the knowledge now, so I would still meet my wife exactly. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's very important because we can't be like butterfly effect
<v Speaker 2>where like everything everything changes something shittterly and then you know.
<v Speaker 1>And then you don't end up meeting her. You're like, no,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to do the things I want to do
<v Speaker 1>and still meet her. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Wow, I wish I could do that anyway. My life
<v Speaker 2>is fine now. So it's okay that I messed up
<v Speaker 2>in high school.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, you're a SOI lesbian. You're doing great.
<v Speaker 2>So okay, do you have a hot take or a
<v Speaker 2>burning desire on this movie that you want to share?
<v Speaker 1>Yes? I didn't really think the whole, Like I liked
<v Speaker 1>the Guardian Angel thing like looking out for Jennifer, but
<v Speaker 1>the whole like, as I know, you're doing like a
<v Speaker 1>bewitch today, you know you're like, yeah, the whole Asriel
<v Speaker 1>O Gab Yeah, that was a little unnecessary for me.
<v Speaker 1>That's my hot take? What about you?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I thought that it was kind of like cheesy.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah you'll we'll talk about it later. But basically the
<v Speaker 2>Guardian Angel his last name is Gabison because he's Gabby's son. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>very clever handed with the like you should have figured
<v Speaker 2>this out.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I also thought, uh, yeah, I thought it was weird
<v Speaker 4>that the lesbians at the center of this were so
<v Speaker 4>obsessed with getting the priest to marry them, even though
<v Speaker 4>he like didn't think that they deserved marriage.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so why do you want him to marry you, like,
<v Speaker 2>get somebody else to do.
<v Speaker 1>It, exactly, TikTok son.
<v Speaker 2>Get somebody else to do Yeah, yeah, you yes, I like, losh,
<v Speaker 2>they should go.
<v Speaker 3>Get somebody else to do it. Literally, there is somebody
<v Speaker 3>else that we'll do it. And also I thought that
<v Speaker 3>it was really weird that.
<v Speaker 2>There were vaguely anti abortion vibes because like the priest
<v Speaker 2>had aggressively counseled Gabby for months to keep this baby
<v Speaker 2>or whatever, and then she did keep the baby, So
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, okay, so like I guess they got what
<v Speaker 2>they wanted. But then I was like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>I can't tell if these are anti abortion vibes or not,
<v Speaker 2>because in the end, the baby was born earlier it
<v Speaker 2>died anyway, and then she died, so it's like maybe
<v Speaker 2>she would have been better off if she got an abortion.
<v Speaker 2>But I feel like the film really shied away from
<v Speaker 2>talking about abortion, Like I almost feel like they should have.
<v Speaker 1>Like one subject at a time.
<v Speaker 2>They were like we can only talk about how Catholics
<v Speaker 2>should accept the gays.
<v Speaker 3>We can't also go at abortion, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, there's too much.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, So I was like they should have just kind
<v Speaker 2>of left the whole Gabby Son thing and Gabby being
<v Speaker 2>pregnant out of it. I thought it was Yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, they.
<v Speaker 1>Just said abstinence, no sex at all.
<v Speaker 3>Or only with only with other women? Yes, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>When you go to the doctor, you know, and they
<v Speaker 2>do that thing that I feel like every lesbian has had, right,
<v Speaker 2>They're like, are you sexually active? And You're like yes,
<v Speaker 2>and they're like what form of birth control are you using?
<v Speaker 2>You're like none, yes, And I remember when it was
<v Speaker 2>always like awkward, right, And then when I was like
<v Speaker 2>twenty one, I had went to Planned Parenthood and the
<v Speaker 2>medical assistant was a lesbian and she could tell my awkwardness.
<v Speaker 2>And then she's like, oh, do you have a female partner?
<v Speaker 2>And I was like yeah, She's like, just say female partner.
<v Speaker 2>And so now that's what I do. And now now
<v Speaker 2>my doctor because now I'm old and I have an
<v Speaker 2>established doctor, and she knows me, and she knows that
<v Speaker 2>I'm married to a woman, so she wouldn't ask them.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, but you know, when you're first.
<v Speaker 2>Meeting doctors, and that became my new thing. I was like,
<v Speaker 2>they're like, what former birth control? I was like, female partner.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yeah, So anyway, I don't know why I was
<v Speaker 5>talking about that. Oh about yes, So AnyWho, those are yeah,
<v Speaker 5>those are some interesting takes.
<v Speaker 2>And I guess if you haven't seen the movie, you're like,
<v Speaker 2>what are they talking about?
<v Speaker 1>Ya?
<v Speaker 3>But we'll get into it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah after the break, So grab your mistletoe and get
<v Speaker 2>ready for a super queer sleigh ride.
<v Speaker 3>We'll be right back.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, welcome back to but I'm a lesbian. This week,
<v Speaker 2>we are discussing a New York Christmas wedding.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, So I don't know why I was so silent, girl,
<v Speaker 1>I was so silent After you said that.
<v Speaker 2>You were like, I was thinking of about explaining it
<v Speaker 2>more and maybe you could read that in my face.
<v Speaker 2>But then I was like, no, I have to not
<v Speaker 2>over explain because I was gonna be like, not just
<v Speaker 2>any New York Christmas wedding.
<v Speaker 3>That's the title of the movie, and that's what I thought.
<v Speaker 3>I know that, So that was why the awkward silence
<v Speaker 3>came from you. Guys.
<v Speaker 1>Some people don't write because you know, we said it
<v Speaker 1>at the beginning, but I guess we don't skip, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>like they skip, So we have to make sure they
<v Speaker 1>know that this is okay.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it is called a New York Christmas Wedding. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>And I don't think I mentioned this, but this wasn't
<v Speaker 2>for me. I accidentally happened upon this. This was like
<v Speaker 2>accidentally gay movie to me because I just was like,
<v Speaker 2>I want to watch like a cheesy Christmas movie, and
<v Speaker 2>I clicked on it and I was like, oh my.
<v Speaker 1>God, wait gay. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, so tell me all about it, about Gabbysan.
<v Speaker 1>About gaby Son. Yes, I'm not even gonna call him Azroal,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just gonna call him gabby Son.
<v Speaker 2>Yes.
<v Speaker 1>So the movie begins with the teenage girl struggling to
<v Speaker 1>find something to wear, so she heads to the kitchen
<v Speaker 1>and she's making cookies and eggnog. I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>I was gonna call it something else, but eggnog was
<v Speaker 1>just not in my head.
<v Speaker 3>Oh do you like eggnog?
<v Speaker 1>I've only had it once, like the regular kind and
<v Speaker 1>then like the one with like alcohol. Yeah, and I
<v Speaker 1>did not like it. I don't think they really mixed.
<v Speaker 1>For me, I just don't like it.
<v Speaker 3>I think it sounds like you would throw up to
<v Speaker 3>me because it's like if.
<v Speaker 1>You had like you're and sweet. Yeah, did you ever
<v Speaker 1>like it?
<v Speaker 3>Okay? I didn't like eggnog.
<v Speaker 2>Then one time in high school, I took a culinary
<v Speaker 2>class and we made eggnog and it was so good.
<v Speaker 2>But that was like the best that I've ever had.
<v Speaker 2>It was like homemade. And anyway, that's funny. I guess
<v Speaker 2>I really want to talk about eggnog. You guys, you
<v Speaker 2>guys as if there's other people like you're the listeners, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>you're involved in this.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>So uh, I do like noog, like a obviously no
<v Speaker 2>eggs because I'm a vegan, so I.
<v Speaker 3>Like like a vegan knog.
<v Speaker 2>But the problem is usually like I want one glass
<v Speaker 2>a year, you know, like I, and so we always
<v Speaker 2>buy it and then we each have one glass and
<v Speaker 2>then the rest goes to waste.
<v Speaker 3>We never drink it all.
<v Speaker 2>And so this year we were both like, man, I
<v Speaker 2>really want like my glass of nog.
<v Speaker 1>For the year.
<v Speaker 2>I wish they made it in smaller things, and we
<v Speaker 2>found the brand so delicious, the coconut. Okay, they have
<v Speaker 2>it in like kind of a small curton, so it's
<v Speaker 2>enough for us each to have like a.
<v Speaker 3>Glass and a half.
<v Speaker 1>Wow.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I had my glass for the year, but I
<v Speaker 2>think I might on Christmas maybe I'll have my other
<v Speaker 2>little half.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, don't get too crazy, Kayla. And it's
<v Speaker 1>only one a year.
<v Speaker 2>I know.
<v Speaker 3>It's just so sweet and like thick. I don't know,
<v Speaker 3>it's weird. It's just like too much.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 5>It's so cute.
<v Speaker 1>Though, that's your your guys, is Christmas tradition the Christmas Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you have to sing that while you Yes, your vegan nock.
<v Speaker 2>My vegan nock. Okay, anyway, sorry, you're okay. She's making
<v Speaker 2>egg nog and cookies.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, and it's Christmas time obviously, right, unless it just really.
<v Speaker 3>Likes I was gonna say, it's kind of sad. Nobody
<v Speaker 3>ever has the dog at other times. That's true.
<v Speaker 1>They're like that, they forget about it unless there's some
<v Speaker 1>people out there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like I don't know, people don't know. But you
<v Speaker 2>can get a peppermint moocha literally anytime of the year.
<v Speaker 2>Peppermint syrup is available year round at most coffee shops,
<v Speaker 2>but people only get it around Christmas, but I get
<v Speaker 2>it whenever I fucking feel like it because I love
<v Speaker 2>pas and I love peppermint hot chokies.
<v Speaker 1>You're like, I'm not going to wait until Christmas for that.
<v Speaker 2>Oh.
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, I do what I want and I love
<v Speaker 3>the outlet.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, often they have things after the season,
<v Speaker 2>so it's like it'll be February and I'm like, oh
<v Speaker 2>my god, pumpkin muffin.
<v Speaker 1>They're like trying to get it.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, I'm so sorry. Now you're okay, tell me
<v Speaker 2>about the girl and the cookies and the dog.
<v Speaker 1>So as that girl is making her cookies and her nog,
<v Speaker 1>they're actually.
<v Speaker 3>On non shock. Oh yeah, go ahead.
<v Speaker 1>See that's the problem when you have two hosts that
<v Speaker 1>like to talk the other one doesn't discourage. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I know, I'm like, forget about the story. They can
<v Speaker 1>watch it. They don't need the recap, you guys.
<v Speaker 3>It's where is it.
<v Speaker 1>It's on to be Oh yeah, to be favorite. Okay, okay,
<v Speaker 1>so stop, it's okay, okay. So meanwhile, a girl and
<v Speaker 1>her boyfriend are in bed kissing and her phone rings.
<v Speaker 1>The girl's like, oh, Jenny is calling and I need
<v Speaker 1>to answer it. Because it might be important. So Jenny
<v Speaker 1>was the girl getting the cookies in the eggnog, and
<v Speaker 1>the girl that answered her name is Gabby. So Jenny
<v Speaker 1>is pissed. She's like, where are you. You're supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be here. I made cookies, I made eggnog. It's a
<v Speaker 1>tradition for us to decorate the Christmas tree, and you're
<v Speaker 1>not here. And Gabby's like, oh my god, I'm so sorry.
<v Speaker 1>I just got so caught up studying with Oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>I almost said, yeah, Vinnie, I want to call him Vincent.
<v Speaker 1>Isn't that Yeah? So she's like, I got busy studying
<v Speaker 1>with Vinnie and Jenny's like yeah, right, like he is
<v Speaker 1>a loser, he doesn't study, like okay exactly, And so
<v Speaker 1>they get into an argument and Gabby is basically telling Jenny,
<v Speaker 1>which I thought was really fucked up, because she's like,
<v Speaker 1>you can't mention your mom for everything. Her mom is dead. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>She's like she's like, but this is like a specific
<v Speaker 1>tradition that they used to do. And so Jenny's upset
<v Speaker 1>because Gabby told her like, I'll always be here for
<v Speaker 1>you and we can always do this, and Gabby is
<v Speaker 1>just like, well, I don't care. I'm with my boyfriend.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Now I love boyfriends.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So they have they get into a fight and
<v Speaker 1>Jenny tells Gabby like, you're dead to me, don't talk
<v Speaker 1>to me. So then immediately after she runts to her
<v Speaker 1>room and she's like writing this angry letter and Gabby
<v Speaker 1>hangs up the phone and Vinnie's like, are you okay,
<v Speaker 1>And she's like, no, I'm not okay. I just got
<v Speaker 1>into a horriboole fight. And he's like, I know what
<v Speaker 1>can help you If we have sex for the first.
<v Speaker 3>Time, definitely help and she's like okay.
<v Speaker 1>So she's convinced by him. Yeah, and so obviously we
<v Speaker 1>assume they're gonna have sex, and then Jenny runs to
<v Speaker 1>like go mail her little angry letter, and then fast
<v Speaker 1>forward it is twenty years later and a grown up
<v Speaker 1>Jenny is assisting a vet. She's like a little vet assistant.
<v Speaker 1>So there's the vet and she's the vet assistant. She's
<v Speaker 1>there while they are putting down a dog and she's
<v Speaker 1>very upset and the dog is a really good actor.
<v Speaker 3>I was like, he was.
<v Speaker 1>Really cute, Like when they obviously it was like the
<v Speaker 1>time from the go his little eyes stick closed and
<v Speaker 1>I always look at that because sometimes it's so cute
<v Speaker 1>when like they open or they're like oops, yes it's
<v Speaker 1>so cut.
<v Speaker 3>But he was really good. It takes they did.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So Jenny's really upset, and the VET is like,
<v Speaker 1>this is very different from your world of finance that
<v Speaker 1>you're used to. So we see that she's had like
<v Speaker 1>a very big career switch. Yeah, And Jenny says that
<v Speaker 1>she was upset that the dog's owner wasn't there because
<v Speaker 1>how you'd like not be there for them because it
<v Speaker 1>reminds her of her best friend that died when she
<v Speaker 1>was like a teenager, and her dad and her mom,
<v Speaker 1>and she's just like, I don't want to picture my
<v Speaker 1>loved ones like alone. And so the VET is like, no,
<v Speaker 1>it's okay, Like you'll it's okay, go ahead and take
<v Speaker 1>this time off. Leave early because she is going to
<v Speaker 1>have dinner with her fiance's parents. But she calls her
<v Speaker 1>fiance and she's like, can we just skip the dinner
<v Speaker 1>with the parents. But then she gets home and she
<v Speaker 1>hears the fucking parents. I'm like that would piss me off.
<v Speaker 1>You had a bad day at work and you called
<v Speaker 1>and then you just hear them, So she's like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. So she goes to the closet and then
<v Speaker 1>her fiance David appears and he's like trying to have
<v Speaker 1>sex with her in the closet and she's like, first
<v Speaker 1>of all, your parents are here. Stop. And then he's like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 1>well my bad.
<v Speaker 2>And so she literally like sounded distraught, seemed like she
<v Speaker 2>had a bad day. So I'm like, wow, he doesn't
<v Speaker 2>even realize.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and she called him too, like she left. She
<v Speaker 1>was like, hey, can we just give the dinner please,
<v Speaker 1>like I'm not up to it, like I just didn't
<v Speaker 1>have like a really good day. And he was like, no,
<v Speaker 1>I know what'll help you dinner with my parents.
<v Speaker 2>And then in the closet, Yeah, it's like the perfect
<v Speaker 2>night who would have.
<v Speaker 1>And so during dinner, Jenny is like trying her best
<v Speaker 1>to be like cordial with everybody because the mom is
<v Speaker 1>a bitch and she's taking over the wedding. She's like,
<v Speaker 1>you're going to have a Christmas wedding. This is going
<v Speaker 1>to be the theme. This is what's going to happen.
<v Speaker 1>These are the guests, and Jenny's like, no, I don't
<v Speaker 1>want this, like this is our wedding and the mom
<v Speaker 1>just doesn't understand because she's like, well, we are like
<v Speaker 1>a high class family and there are going to be
<v Speaker 1>guests that obviously need to be at this wedding. And
<v Speaker 1>David doesn't say anything, He's just there like, uh. The dad,
<v Speaker 1>his dad tries to like sort of like neutralize the
<v Speaker 1>situation more than he does, but Jenny's just like, no,
<v Speaker 1>fuck this. So she gets in her little running gear
<v Speaker 1>and she's leaving, and her and Dimig into an argument
<v Speaker 1>because he's like really, like, you're gonna leave right now,
<v Speaker 1>and she's like, you never stand up for me. You
<v Speaker 1>don't have a backbone. And then here comes the mom
<v Speaker 1>like did I upset you? And she's like I can't
<v Speaker 1>do this. So she decides to go for a run
<v Speaker 1>to clear her head, and during the run, she sees
<v Speaker 1>a man get hit by a car and we learned
<v Speaker 1>that his name is as Reel as Real. Gabby's yes,
<v Speaker 1>and he's like, girl, I'm okay, I'm fine, I'm okay girl.
<v Speaker 3>I really feel like they want us to know that
<v Speaker 3>he's gay.
<v Speaker 1>Yes.
<v Speaker 2>He keeps being like it's fine girl. She's like no, no,
<v Speaker 2>it's okay girl. Yeah, And she's like, well, let me
<v Speaker 2>walk with you, and he's like, nah, it's okay girl,
<v Speaker 2>okay girl. And so I'm like, okay, she only I
<v Speaker 2>think she only felt safe because she's like, oh, he's gay.
<v Speaker 3>I can walk with this man in the night.
<v Speaker 1>She's like, he's okay, I just want to stay with you.
<v Speaker 1>And kese you have a concussion because the car like
<v Speaker 1>took off. Yeah, it was like a hidden run. What
<v Speaker 1>the heck I know. And so as they're walking, he's like, so, like,
<v Speaker 1>tell me what's on your mind, because clearly she's upset
<v Speaker 1>about something. Yeah, And he's like it's okay. We're strangers,
<v Speaker 1>Like you're never gonna see me again. So sometimes it's
<v Speaker 1>like easier to share your problems with strangers than like
<v Speaker 1>your loved ones, because there's like they don't know the
<v Speaker 1>story and there's some judgment whatever. So Jenny confined confides confines.
<v Speaker 1>She confides in him about hers soon to be in
<v Speaker 1>laws and how she doesn't want a Christmas wedding, and
<v Speaker 1>he's like, okay. I feel like during the whole time
<v Speaker 1>that she's like telling him all this stuff, he's just walking.
<v Speaker 1>He's just like okay, girl, He's like m And so
<v Speaker 1>she talks about the awful fight that she had with
<v Speaker 1>her bff that resulted in them never speaking again. She
<v Speaker 1>also talks about her mom dying when she was fifteen
<v Speaker 1>and then her dad dying like a couple of years after.
<v Speaker 1>Aziriel says that she shouldn't underestimate the power of love
<v Speaker 1>around Christmas time and that when she wakes up tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>she will see endless possibilities and answers to her questions.
<v Speaker 1>And she's just like Okay, She's like, oh whatever, right.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine you're like telling someone this and they're like the
<v Speaker 1>power of love during Christmas. I'd be like shut the
<v Speaker 1>fuck up, Like what Okay.
<v Speaker 2>I would think they're a Bible humper and that they're
<v Speaker 2>about to try to like convert into something.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'd be like, oh, I'm like no, normind. So
<v Speaker 1>Jenny leaves and there's like a little wave scene and
<v Speaker 1>Azrael is like very happy with himself after that. He's
<v Speaker 1>just like smiling, yes, girl. So Jenny goes to sleep
<v Speaker 1>and when she when she gets there, she like climbs
<v Speaker 1>into bed and David's already asleep, and when she wakes up,
<v Speaker 1>she is she feels like a dog licking her. But
<v Speaker 1>she thinks it's Davis, so she's like, David, stop stop.
<v Speaker 1>But we see it's a dog and she's like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. And then she's like what the fuck? Who, Like,
<v Speaker 1>whose dog is this? Yeah, they don't have a dog.
<v Speaker 1>And then she sees Gabby, her bff from twenty years ago,
<v Speaker 1>as a grown up, and Gabby's selling her like like
<v Speaker 1>what are you doing? Get up? Like, we have things
<v Speaker 1>to do. Can you walk the dog? Can you feed them?
<v Speaker 2>Like?
<v Speaker 1>Can you do all these things? And Jenny's like, holy shit,
<v Speaker 1>like what's going on? Yeah, Like, imagine the person that
<v Speaker 1>you were in love with that died and you wake
<v Speaker 1>up and they're like right there with you. It'd be
<v Speaker 1>so crazy.
<v Speaker 2>So I know it's also crazy because she like looks
<v Speaker 2>really different, but in real life you would be able
<v Speaker 2>to tell, yeah, it's just different actresses, you know, so
<v Speaker 2>they're not the same.
<v Speaker 3>But in the life you'd be like, oh my god.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So obviously Jenny's in shock, but she's like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 1>let me go walk the dog. And she's walking around
<v Speaker 1>and she's like this is not where I live because
<v Speaker 1>she grew up in the Bronx, right or Queens.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know. I don't know New York. I'm sorry
<v Speaker 3>to the New York mentioned it.
<v Speaker 1>She mentioned it. I want to say it's either the
<v Speaker 1>Bronx or Queens. But yeah, obviously in her life, her
<v Speaker 1>with David, she lives in Manhattan, so she sees it.
<v Speaker 1>She's like in a different neighborhood. So she's like walking
<v Speaker 1>around and she runs into Asrul, who's in this like
<v Speaker 1>little leather like fit, and he's like, oh hey. She's like,
<v Speaker 1>do you remember me.
<v Speaker 3>He's like yeah.
<v Speaker 1>She's like, you got hit by a car yesterday and
<v Speaker 1>he's like mm hmmm fine. He's like grown fine and
<v Speaker 1>it's fine. Girl. So she's freaking out and she's like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, like there's I don't know what's going on,
<v Speaker 1>and I need to get back to Manhattan to see David.
<v Speaker 1>And he's like, okay, let me help you just close
<v Speaker 1>your eyes, which is already strange enough, but she decides
<v Speaker 1>to trust it, and he like snaps and they're at
<v Speaker 1>their apartment like at the front door, and she's just
<v Speaker 1>like how did we get here? And I'm like, wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>you be more freaked out? Okay, so she's knocking on
<v Speaker 1>the door.
<v Speaker 2>No, maybe this is just all a dream. At this point,
<v Speaker 2>I feel like she's like what She's like, this is
<v Speaker 2>a really crazy dream, right, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So she's like knocking the door and David opens and
<v Speaker 1>there are kids. He has kids and a wife, and
<v Speaker 1>she's like, David, who is this woman? Like who are
<v Speaker 1>these kids? And David's just like, who are you? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know you. We have kids in here, So
<v Speaker 1>please don't start anything. I'm gonna call the cops.
<v Speaker 3>She's like, lady, She's like.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I'm so sorry. So, as she's like leaving, he
<v Speaker 1>tells as Real tells her like, so I'm actually your
<v Speaker 1>guardian angel, and I sent you to an alternate universe
<v Speaker 1>so where you and Gabby are engaged and you basically
<v Speaker 1>have forty eight hours to embrace what could have been.
<v Speaker 1>And then he's like bye, bye, girl, I gotta go,
<v Speaker 1>and she's just like, what are you talking about? So
<v Speaker 1>she decides to go walk by her old house. Did
<v Speaker 1>I skip that? Oh no, no. So she goes to
<v Speaker 1>her old house and she learns that her father is alive.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, She's like, oh my god.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. He's like, girl, what are you doing here? Let
<v Speaker 1>me drive you back my apartment.
<v Speaker 3>Overly excited to.
<v Speaker 1>See yeah, and then because she asked about her mom
<v Speaker 1>and he's like, why would you ask that? So her
<v Speaker 1>mom is not alive in this only her dad and Gabby,
<v Speaker 1>And so he drops her off and she's like okay,
<v Speaker 1>like i'll see you later, and she goes inside and
<v Speaker 1>she's like looking around the house and it's really cute
<v Speaker 1>because there's like photos of her and Gabby from when
<v Speaker 1>they were like teenagers and like obviously growing up together,
<v Speaker 1>and it's so cute, like the wife and their dog.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like oh. And so then she's like starting to
<v Speaker 1>like you know, understand, like okay, like this is I
<v Speaker 1>guess what could have been. So she heads to the
<v Speaker 1>church to meet Gabby because Gabby had told her in
<v Speaker 1>the morning, like it's very important you need to be
<v Speaker 1>here for this meeting with the father. Oh I forgot's name,
<v Speaker 1>father Kelly, which aka big.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah missed a big yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I don't like him.
<v Speaker 2>I mean I didn't really watch the show, but I
<v Speaker 2>just decided I didn't like him because I think he
<v Speaker 2>did something fucked up. I don't know, he probably did
<v Speaker 2>do something fucked up. He's a man, and did the
<v Speaker 2>guy in real life do something fucked up.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, I don't know he did. I feel like he
<v Speaker 3>got in trouble when they made and just like that.
<v Speaker 3>I think that they.
<v Speaker 2>Wrote him off because he had some kind of the
<v Speaker 2>like a me too allegation against him.
<v Speaker 3>Sorry if I made that up. His name is Chris not.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god. Okay, Well we maybe I'm wrong.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to be just accusing men, but I
<v Speaker 2>really think I heard that.
<v Speaker 1>Oh it's okay. He doesn't really play a good character
<v Speaker 1>in here either most of the movie. So yeah, saved, Okay. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So she heads to the church and Gabby is pissed
<v Speaker 1>at her. Gabby works at the church. She's like, what
<v Speaker 1>is it called. She works for the choir.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, she's like the choir director.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, and she's like mad that they missed the meeting.
<v Speaker 1>But she's like, okay, fine, like let's go see him.
<v Speaker 1>So Jenny is surprised to learn that they're there to
<v Speaker 1>convince father Kelly to marry them. Yeah, because he doesn't
<v Speaker 1>want to do gay marriages, even though they say Pope
<v Speaker 1>Francis has spoke in favor of same sex marriage and
<v Speaker 1>so did the government, so why is he not doing this?
<v Speaker 1>And He's just like, I'll pray on it and see
<v Speaker 1>what comes to me. And he's known these girls all
<v Speaker 1>their life, and Gaby reminds him like, do you remember
<v Speaker 1>what you were there for me for? Like we've been
<v Speaker 1>through all of this, you know us, it's no different,
<v Speaker 1>you know. And so she walks off and she's really upset,
<v Speaker 1>and Father Kelly's just like, oh my god, Like I
<v Speaker 1>don't know what to do. I said, Father Kelly is
<v Speaker 1>stupid and won't do it because he says God won't
<v Speaker 1>allow it. Okay, yeah, the Pope.
<v Speaker 3>Said, yeah, so you think he like friends with He's
<v Speaker 3>like that's yeah.
<v Speaker 1>He looks up to the Pope. So I'm like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>do you really because the Pope would be okay.
<v Speaker 3>So wait, I gotta tell you something.
<v Speaker 2>We have fact checked and mister Big Chris notth has
<v Speaker 2>had multiple people accuse him of us.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, oh my god, I didn't make it up. He
<v Speaker 3>is a bad person.
<v Speaker 1>Oh.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think they knew that yet when they filmed this,
<v Speaker 2>because that didn't out until like and just like that
<v Speaker 2>was starting to come out, so that was like that
<v Speaker 2>was after Okay, Yeah, anyway, whoa, he's a bad guy.
<v Speaker 1>Your intuition was fought on.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, usually you can guess that about most men.
<v Speaker 3>Probably a bad guy. But I was like, I think
<v Speaker 3>I think I heard something.
<v Speaker 2>You're like, no, I know, man, Okay, So he plays
<v Speaker 2>a jerk in this. He's like, oh, I'm so I
<v Speaker 2>it's giving like hate the sin, love the sinner or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>because he's like, you know, I love you girls like
<v Speaker 2>that type of thing, but like I don't think you
<v Speaker 2>deserve right.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, you guys are actively sinning and you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>go to hell, so I will not marry you. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's you're broken people.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, And he's like I don't want to the hell.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm like you won't. So Gabby reminds him of
<v Speaker 1>oh I already said that. Yeah, how in high school
<v Speaker 1>she got pregnant and her parents just own her, and
<v Speaker 1>how he was there for her and then he said
<v Speaker 1>he'll pray on it. So then they leave and then
<v Speaker 1>obviously Gabby's like pissed. But they go to the store
<v Speaker 1>and she goes inside and Jenny's like still looking around,
<v Speaker 1>like whoa, like still in shock and lo and behold
<v Speaker 1>here comes Vinnie and he's still an asshole.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and is he like to have a job.
<v Speaker 1>Or he looks like a fucking loser because he's just
<v Speaker 1>walking around and he's like, oh hey, he's like he
<v Speaker 1>says that he could be their unicorn, him and Gabby,
<v Speaker 1>and then Jenny's like what the fuck, like no, and
<v Speaker 1>then Gabby comes out and then he's like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>he's being an asshole still, and then Gabby's like just
<v Speaker 1>ignore him whatever. But Jenny's like no, and she punches him,
<v Speaker 1>which good for her, and in the car they're like
<v Speaker 1>laughing and talking about it because she's just like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>like fuck him basically, and then Gabby's like, well, we
<v Speaker 1>do kind of like I I guess not like a
<v Speaker 1>soft spot in her heart. But she's like he was
<v Speaker 1>the reason why I figured out I was gay after
<v Speaker 1>we had sex, and so she's like he serves some
<v Speaker 1>purpose in my life and oh yeah. So they go
<v Speaker 1>over to her Jenny's dad's house and they're having like
<v Speaker 1>a really great time, and Gabby's being really like emotional
<v Speaker 1>because she's like I want to say thank you to
<v Speaker 1>you know, obviously Jenny's dad, because she's like, my parents
<v Speaker 1>disell me about being pregnant and then obviously being gay.
<v Speaker 1>In a relationship and you basically raised us like you
<v Speaker 1>were always there for us, and it was really sweet,
<v Speaker 1>and the dad was so happy for them to get married.
<v Speaker 1>He was just like, I'm so happy. And then, in
<v Speaker 1>a classic dad move, he falls asleep on their kliner. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>literally misses like a huge I feel like they have
<v Speaker 1>selective hearing too, because he was like, that's not my problem.
<v Speaker 1>He like asleep on the couch and Jenny and Gaby
<v Speaker 1>are on the other couch and they're like talking reminiscing,
<v Speaker 1>and then Jenny is like, so, why Vinnie, why were
<v Speaker 1>you with Vinnie? And why did you leave and not
<v Speaker 1>talk to me? And Gabby's like, are you serious? You
<v Speaker 1>literally said that I was dead to you and that
<v Speaker 1>you never wanted me to speak to you again. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm just respecting your wishes. Yeah, And Jenny's just like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but you could have like reached out and like all
<v Speaker 1>this other stuff. And so they get t he an argument,
<v Speaker 1>and Gabby's like kind of upset because she's like, do
<v Speaker 1>you really want to bring up the past right now?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>And then Jenny's dad wakes up and he's like, it's
<v Speaker 1>time for you girls to go home. He's like you
<v Speaker 1>should go home, and so they go home and they're
<v Speaker 1>still upset with each other, but Gabby brings out Jenny's
<v Speaker 1>letter and makes her read it out loud, and she's
<v Speaker 1>just like, I'm telling you, like, what happened in the
<v Speaker 1>past is the past. When you wrote that letter to me,
<v Speaker 1>it hurt me. Yeah, but I'm over and now like
<v Speaker 1>we're perfect for each other. We know all the like,
<v Speaker 1>we have so much history and we've like grown together.
<v Speaker 1>And Jenny's very emotional because that's her first time reading
<v Speaker 1>it since she wrote it back. Yeah, and so she's like,
<v Speaker 1>I just need a minute, Like I need a minute.
<v Speaker 1>So she's like sitting thinking over things, and then she
<v Speaker 1>meets Gabby in bed and they're like it's very I
<v Speaker 1>think it's like PG fourteen or something TV fourteen because
<v Speaker 1>they're like touching me fourteen four. Yeah, they're like touching
<v Speaker 1>each other, but like obviously we assume that they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have sex, but they don't show anything. So it's just
<v Speaker 1>like a lot of rolling around and yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Like the ar yeah right or whatever. They're like fancy underwear.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like they have matching sets. I think so
<v Speaker 2>people in movies and TV always have like matching brown
<v Speaker 2>underwear sets, you know, and I'm like, wow, I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>maybe I should be like more. Maybe if on Fight
<v Speaker 2>like only had black bras and black underwear. But I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>I gotta buy all these bright colors and different designs,
<v Speaker 2>so like never matches, but I think it's wow, so
<v Speaker 2>cool when they like matching Lacey sets, You're like I
<v Speaker 2>need that one, Like, man, someday I'll be that put together.
<v Speaker 1>So they have sex, and then the next day, Jenny
<v Speaker 1>goes to meet Gabby at the church because Gabby left
<v Speaker 1>her little saying like hey me me the church, don't
<v Speaker 1>be late and don't wear my leather pants. I was like,
<v Speaker 1>oh okay, And so then Jenny's like happy and embracing, like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, me and gabrid together. So she goes
<v Speaker 1>to the church and Father Kelly is giving a sermon.
<v Speaker 1>He says that the passage that he's reciting has hurt
<v Speaker 1>many gay Catholic people because it's basically saying that gay
<v Speaker 1>people are broken and they are sinners and that they
<v Speaker 1>don't get communions like the communion wafers or should be
<v Speaker 1>like accepted, and so he's basically like, that's wrong, and
<v Speaker 1>then he calls up all thegbtk as people in the church.
<v Speaker 1>He's like calling out their names. He's like getting out.
<v Speaker 1>We're watching this movie on He's like, so he just
<v Speaker 1>outed everybody in church, and I'm like, yes.
<v Speaker 2>I think.
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, are all of these people out about being gay?
<v Speaker 3>Or did she?
<v Speaker 2>Did they tell him during confession because I don't think
<v Speaker 2>he's allowed to talk about that.
<v Speaker 1>But he thinks he's doing something so good, so he's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>get up here, everyone, get up here, all the gays
<v Speaker 1>and so then he's like, this is the first time
<v Speaker 1>that this is gonna happen here at this church. I
<v Speaker 1>And then as he's like saying that he's gonna do
<v Speaker 1>this for gay people, a couple walks out. They're just
<v Speaker 1>like a straight a straight couple walks out. But then
<v Speaker 1>everyone else is just like nodding their head and they're excited,
<v Speaker 1>and especially Jenny's dad is like finally, right, yeah, And
<v Speaker 1>so then he like one by one gives them their
<v Speaker 1>little communion wafer and then he's just like yay, and
<v Speaker 1>then all the other people go back, but he's like
<v Speaker 1>Jenny and Gabby, will you stay here with me? And
<v Speaker 1>Gabby's like, just trust me, because Jenny's like what the fuck, like,
<v Speaker 1>why are we up here? So then he starts performing
<v Speaker 1>a wedding ceremony and they get married, and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god. That's so that's why she told her
<v Speaker 1>what to wear, because she's like, don't wear my mother pants,
<v Speaker 1>and she picks out an outfit for her, and so,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they get married and they're like, oh my god.
<v Speaker 1>So then they go to their reception, which I you know,
<v Speaker 1>Gabby obviously this of course, but I just think it's funny,
<v Speaker 1>like she's just like, show up to the church. Yeah, bo,
<v Speaker 1>when we got married, here's our reception. Let's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>have the time of our lives. And so I also
<v Speaker 1>thought it was really sweet how her outfit that they
<v Speaker 1>got married in. Jenny was like, oh man, like, you know,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for putting this together. Like I'm really happy
<v Speaker 1>to be married to you, but I wish I had like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like I was all dressed up and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And then Gabby pulls out like a red dress for
<v Speaker 1>her and she's like, you mean like this, and then
<v Speaker 1>it's so cute because like they know each other, so
<v Speaker 1>they're all like dressed up and stuff, and they have
<v Speaker 1>like a really fun time. They're dancing, and then it's
<v Speaker 1>time for the speeches and Gabby's brother is like, you
<v Speaker 1>may not know me. I'm Gabby's brother. Our family would
<v Speaker 1>want to be here, but they just need time, and
<v Speaker 1>Gabby's just like, oh and I'm like spend twenty years okay, right,
<v Speaker 1>So then everyone's giving speeches. Jenny's dad gives a speech,
<v Speaker 1>and then they Gabby and Jenny give a speech and
<v Speaker 1>they're basically praising father Kelly. They're saying like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>he you were so like this all happened because of you.
<v Speaker 3>And just like stroking his right.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, oh my god, guys like it's okay, Like
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't me, Like, get the attention off of me.
<v Speaker 1>So outside, Jenny sees as real and she's like I
<v Speaker 1>know what you're here for and I'm not leaving, like
<v Speaker 1>this is my life and he's like, m sorry, girl.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, you don't have enough time here. He's like
<v Speaker 1>you he says it very like it almost feels like
<v Speaker 1>a horror movie in that part because she's just like,
<v Speaker 1>you haven't till tonight.
<v Speaker 3>And then he walks Genress. Yeah, he like.
<v Speaker 1>Walks off, and the way he looks at her, he's
<v Speaker 1>just like, you haven't til tonight, and she's like as real.
<v Speaker 1>She's like trying to call him, but she doesn't want
<v Speaker 1>to call attention, so she's just standing there like whispering
<v Speaker 1>his name, and then she sees David and David's like, girl,
<v Speaker 1>are you ready to come with me? Like, come this way,
<v Speaker 1>and then Gabby appears and Gabby's like, Jennifer, what do
<v Speaker 1>you do? You're like, let's come back in. So she's
<v Speaker 1>like being pulled in both ways, and so she's upset
<v Speaker 1>because she doesn't want to leave. She's very happy and
<v Speaker 1>she got married to the love of her life. But
<v Speaker 1>so she tells Gabby like, I'll be in there with
<v Speaker 1>you and in a minute, just like give me a second.
<v Speaker 1>So she goes in and they're taking their photos and
<v Speaker 1>it's really sweet, and then they go back to their
<v Speaker 1>place and Jenny's trying, like her hard is to keep
<v Speaker 1>Gabby awake because she knows that when they both go
<v Speaker 1>to sleep and she wakes up the next day, she's
<v Speaker 1>not gonna be in that alternate world with her, And
<v Speaker 1>so they end up falling asleep and then Jenny wakes
<v Speaker 1>up to David kissing her and that's a fucking jump scare,
<v Speaker 1>it was. He's just like, no, genuinely, I'm like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. She's just like, oh, what the fuck. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, I'm so sorry, babe, Like I will stand
<v Speaker 1>up to my mom. This is our wedding, and like
<v Speaker 1>I'm basically apologizing for all the wrong that he's done.
<v Speaker 1>And so she's just like, will you take me somewhere
<v Speaker 1>and he's like, okay, Sure. So she asked David to
<v Speaker 1>go with her to her old neighborhood. She stops at
<v Speaker 1>the church and she's asking about Gabby because she said,
<v Speaker 1>I know like that Gabby got pregnant, but I never
<v Speaker 1>knew what happened. And so the lady there is really cute.
<v Speaker 1>Her name is Jane, and she's an older lady, and
<v Speaker 1>she talks about how father Kelly was removed from that
<v Speaker 1>church because he was performing same sex marriages and he
<v Speaker 1>even married Jane the lady and her wife, which I
<v Speaker 1>thought was really nice. And the lady says that father
<v Speaker 1>Kelly counseled Gabby to keep the child and made arrangements
<v Speaker 1>to give birth in the west, so like a home
<v Speaker 1>for single pregnant teens to give birth, and she did
<v Speaker 1>give birth, but the baby was still born, and so
<v Speaker 1>she was obviously very upset, and she was walking and
<v Speaker 1>she walked into traffic absent mindedly, and that's how she died.
<v Speaker 1>And so Jenny is obviously like upset at this news,
<v Speaker 1>which I can see where you're thinking, like, we don't
<v Speaker 1>know the full story until then, it's just she had
<v Speaker 1>the baby, but the baby's not there. And then, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god, I totally skipped over that because we've been
<v Speaker 1>making jokes about it. But Asrael reveals to Jenny that
<v Speaker 1>day before they He's like, I am Gabby's son.
<v Speaker 3>That's why my name is Asriel, Gabby's son.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And then Jenny's like what And so obviously we
<v Speaker 1>know that, like the child is in here, but they
<v Speaker 1>don't know what happened. So then after she's talking to
<v Speaker 1>David in the church and he's like, who was Gabby
<v Speaker 1>And she's like, she was my first love and I
<v Speaker 1>really wish that, you know, you would have met her.
<v Speaker 1>And so they're walking and she sees Asriel just like
<v Speaker 1>sitting in the pew and she's like, hold on, I
<v Speaker 1>need to talk, Like I need to stay here for
<v Speaker 1>a second. So David goes to the end and he's
<v Speaker 1>just like flipping through his little magazine as she's like
<v Speaker 1>sitting there talking to no one. He can't see Asriel,
<v Speaker 1>and she's like, oh my god, I thought i'd never
<v Speaker 1>see you again. And she's like so happy, and he's
<v Speaker 1>just like, hey, so, hey girl, basically, I can give
<v Speaker 1>you an option to go back in time, and you
<v Speaker 1>know you can, like you, depending on how far you
<v Speaker 1>go back, I won't be here for you anymore. Because
<v Speaker 1>if she goes all the way back, then you know, she.
<v Speaker 3>Would have never got pregnant. Yeah, all of that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So he's just like, I'm okay with that. I'm
<v Speaker 1>okay with not like if it means you're happy or
<v Speaker 1>you can stay here. And so she's concerned about David
<v Speaker 1>because she's like what about him? And he's like, well,
<v Speaker 1>you saw him, like he had a wife and kids,
<v Speaker 1>like he's gonna be more than fine. And so then
<v Speaker 1>she's like, yeah, I do want to go back in time,
<v Speaker 1>and so then he has to recite this little thing
<v Speaker 1>and then when she opens her eyes, it's like she's
<v Speaker 1>transported back to the time where her and Gabby had
<v Speaker 1>that fight. And so she's still doing all the things,
<v Speaker 1>but when she calls Gabby, she is upset to her,
<v Speaker 1>but so of lashing out, she's like, Okay, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>I'm upset, but we can have this conversation like another time,
<v Speaker 1>like whatever, what I want to tell you, I can't
<v Speaker 1>tell you over the phone. And so then Gabby is like, hmm,
<v Speaker 1>that's interesting. She's like interesting. But Jenny still goes up
<v Speaker 1>there to write her little letter and she's like walking
<v Speaker 1>down and her dad's like, hey, you have a visitor.
<v Speaker 1>And it is Gabby and she brought like little candy
<v Speaker 1>canes and I'm like that's so sweet. And Jenny's like,
<v Speaker 1>what are you doing here? She's like, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>You sounded like you have something really important to like
<v Speaker 1>say over the phone. So Jenny hides the letter in
<v Speaker 1>her pocket and she's like I did, like you know
<v Speaker 1>what about Vinnie And she's like, he wanted to have
<v Speaker 1>sex with me, so I punched him. So we see
<v Speaker 1>that in this timeline, what was supposed to happen is
<v Speaker 1>that she never has sex with a man.
<v Speaker 3>She's a gold starter.
<v Speaker 1>I know. It's just kind of funny. And so Jenny
<v Speaker 1>confesses her feelings to Gabby and is like, I'm in
<v Speaker 1>love with you. And then Gabby's like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>of course you are, like why wouldn't you be, But
<v Speaker 1>I'm also in love with you. She's like, I'm amazing,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm also in love with you too. And so
<v Speaker 1>it's really cute because they are decorating the Christmas tree
<v Speaker 1>and they're like talking about their wedding and Jenny's like,
<v Speaker 1>I think we're going to have a big Christmas wedding
<v Speaker 1>and like big white dresses and yeah, it was cute.
<v Speaker 1>So then the film ends a happy ending. Yeah, so sweet,
<v Speaker 1>so sweet.
<v Speaker 3>I mean it's good at I haven't indeed.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, so now for the moment that you've all been
<v Speaker 2>waiting for. I'm sure you have been waiting some our
<v Speaker 2>version of fuck Mary, kill, Munch, merge murder. So the
<v Speaker 2>options this time are Jennifer slash Jenny, this stud from
<v Speaker 2>the church that they showed that was outed by the church, yes,
<v Speaker 2>and Jane the lady that works at the church.
<v Speaker 1>Yes.
<v Speaker 3>So I don't know, do you have thoughts on this?
<v Speaker 1>Okay? So I think I would merge with Jennifer. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I would merge with Jennifer for sure. I would munch
<v Speaker 1>the church said, and then I would have to kill
<v Speaker 1>Jane from Church because unfortunately, I she's not my type
<v Speaker 1>and she's also married, so she probably wouldn't even want
<v Speaker 1>anything to do with me either, So the only option
<v Speaker 1>is to kill her. So oh yeah, I just want
<v Speaker 1>to murder her because we're not into each other. I
<v Speaker 1>know it's the only way we should do, like an
<v Speaker 1>honorary save one of these days.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, true, because sometimes it's like, sometimes it's so obvious
<v Speaker 2>that I don't I don't want to put who would
<v Speaker 2>be really obvious, like obviously if we put what David's mom,
<v Speaker 2>yeah was of.
<v Speaker 1>Course we would kill imagine like I want to merge
<v Speaker 1>with her.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I was like, I'm not gonna put her because
<v Speaker 2>it's too obvious. Okay, So yeah, I think I would
<v Speaker 2>munch Jennifer. Okay, I would merge with the church stud
<v Speaker 2>because I'm not into a femine. Jennifer's too form me.
<v Speaker 3>I can say that, and I would also have.
<v Speaker 2>To murder Jane from the Church. I feel bad, but
<v Speaker 2>this is so weak. She's the oldest one, so she's
<v Speaker 2>the closest to like Dinah.
<v Speaker 1>I thought the same thing too, it's okay, merge. At
<v Speaker 1>this point, it's like, either even if we don't like her,
<v Speaker 1>we're just putting her out of like the options. Oh
<v Speaker 1>my god, I thought you were gonna say putting her
<v Speaker 1>out of her miss Oh my god. She seemed happy.
<v Speaker 3>She's just she was happy with her wife.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but she lies. Oh my god?
<v Speaker 3>Do you feel bad? Okay?
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, what would you rate this movie overall on a
<v Speaker 2>scale of one to five?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, it wasn't awful. I did get emotional at parts,
<v Speaker 1>which I did the first time around and the second
<v Speaker 1>time too. Like watching the movie, I want to say,
<v Speaker 1>because we're not doing the HAPs anymore, and I feel
<v Speaker 1>like reading this, I'm gonna do a four and five
<v Speaker 1>just because it would have been a three point five
<v Speaker 1>for me? What about you?
<v Speaker 2>No, that's actually the same thing I did. Like, I
<v Speaker 2>was really torn between making it a three. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>didn't really want a round up two a four. But
<v Speaker 2>I feel like it's an important film for people that
<v Speaker 2>are really religious to see, Like hopefully it they might
<v Speaker 2>happen upon it like I did, and it might change
<v Speaker 2>their thoughts because it spent so much time focusing on
<v Speaker 2>like being accepting and the church being accepting and like
<v Speaker 2>it's okay to be gay basically, and so I felt
<v Speaker 2>like that made me give it a four, even if
<v Speaker 2>it was kind of like a little cheesy and stuff,
<v Speaker 2>because I feel like I feel like it could do
<v Speaker 2>some good for a lot of people that are like, well,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not okay with gays because of what the church says,
<v Speaker 2>and it's like, well.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, actually you should watch this movie where yeah, a
<v Speaker 1>bad example of father Kelly.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah I know.
<v Speaker 2>So.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I also set a four out of five, but it's
<v Speaker 3>like a week four.
<v Speaker 1>I feel the same. It's not a strong four for me. No,
<v Speaker 1>it's very weak. It's barely holding up.
<v Speaker 2>Yees, Like it would be like a I would give
<v Speaker 2>it like a C plus or you know, if we
<v Speaker 2>were doing we're doing great.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm like, what's it called?
<v Speaker 1>AnyWho? Yes? Okay.

<v Speaker 4>Deude Dice, I need some bus Dear Dice.
<v Speaker 2>Hell we please, Dune Dikes, I need some bus doom
<v Speaker 2>dike skiing.
<v Speaker 1>Dear Dikes. We have received some questions from you all
<v Speaker 1>a lot, surprisingly, so thank you so much keep sending
<v Speaker 1>them in. We are always looking for more, so send
<v Speaker 1>us your dilemmas and we may feature it on the show.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, we have a little spreadsheeting. It's pretty exciting. So
<v Speaker 3>for our first dilemma, I will read it.
<v Speaker 2>This is from Lizzie So dear dykes pan woman here
<v Speaker 2>who primarily dates men.
<v Speaker 3>I know that's what they wrote. I didn't write that.
<v Speaker 1>I recently.
<v Speaker 2>Started dating a new guy who I actually like. Holy shit,
<v Speaker 2>this is so rare as you might imagine. I do
<v Speaker 2>think it seems rare because I hear about men and
<v Speaker 2>they seem shitty.
<v Speaker 3>I hear about them, I.
<v Speaker 1>Hear about like they have bad reviews.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I'm like, oh no, he's cute, funny and we
<v Speaker 2>share a lot of the same hobbies. Everything is going
<v Speaker 2>really well until pause for dramatic effect.
<v Speaker 3>This is me pausing.
<v Speaker 2>He reveals to me that he doesn't vote like girl.
<v Speaker 2>I don't mean like once or twice, I mean like never.
<v Speaker 2>He has never voted. I asked him about Trump, and
<v Speaker 2>we agree he is an evil pedo, dumbass, and yet
<v Speaker 2>he wouldn't vote against him.
<v Speaker 3>Help, what do I do?
<v Speaker 1>That's difficult. I read the question what are my thoughts?
<v Speaker 1>I would say, I'm just kidding. The first thought was
<v Speaker 1>take his ballot from him and make all the good choices,
<v Speaker 1>because obviously this person would want register and vote, vot, vote, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>for this specific person, whether you want to do hear
<v Speaker 1>or not, like just get it sent to your house. Yeah, No,
<v Speaker 1>I know that this person would, I'm guessing, would obviously
<v Speaker 1>want him to come to the realization that he does
<v Speaker 1>have power in voting, and there are a lot of
<v Speaker 1>other things that you can do. We don't know what
<v Speaker 1>this person looks.
<v Speaker 2>Like, but it's giving sis Het white Man. Yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 2>sure there are other people that don't vote. That that's
<v Speaker 2>true under that, but that's what it makes me. This
<v Speaker 2>is our first impression. So we don't know we need
<v Speaker 2>a picture of him since.
<v Speaker 1>It's a picture and we won't show anyone obviously, but
<v Speaker 1>it's like on Instagram. Oh wow, he was ready to
<v Speaker 1>blow up.
<v Speaker 3>Unless we find out something more bad, something extra bad. Anyway, No, okay,
<v Speaker 3>what do you think?
<v Speaker 2>What do I?
<v Speaker 3>Okay?
<v Speaker 2>Well, I think that if you really like him and
<v Speaker 2>he hasn't done anything worse than this, then I think
<v Speaker 2>it is worth it to keep having the conversations because
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, it's hard because it's been a really
<v Speaker 2>long time since I've dated, you know, But I feel
<v Speaker 2>like there are things that one and I didn't necessarily
<v Speaker 2>agree on when we first started dating, and we talked
<v Speaker 2>about them, and I think they've changed over the years,
<v Speaker 2>sort of Like I remember she said when we were
<v Speaker 2>first dating she believed in God and I was an atheist,
<v Speaker 2>so that was like interesting and like could be a
<v Speaker 2>deal breaker for some people, I don't know. Also, like
<v Speaker 2>when we went vegan, like she wanted to do it
<v Speaker 2>before I did, and I was like mad because I
<v Speaker 2>wanted to keep eating sushi, like you know, But then
<v Speaker 2>like I came to the realization that I agreed with
<v Speaker 2>her viewpoints and she was right and like.
<v Speaker 3>Also, I remember one time.
<v Speaker 2>I don't even know why we would talk about this,
<v Speaker 2>but we when we were young, we thought we wanted
<v Speaker 2>to have kids, I think. And so she's like, well,
<v Speaker 2>when I have kids, we're only going to teach them
<v Speaker 2>Spanish and then they'll learn English at school. And I
<v Speaker 2>was like, why would you do that when you know English?
<v Speaker 2>You should teach them both as they're learning, so they
<v Speaker 2>don't have like that experience that you had in school
<v Speaker 2>where kids made fun of you because you were learning
<v Speaker 2>English and you would like.
<v Speaker 3>Say things wrong or whatever. And she's like, oh, She's like.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't think about it, and we've talked about it more,
<v Speaker 2>but it's like it makes sense, especially when you're really young.
<v Speaker 2>She's thinking of things like how she grew up. She
<v Speaker 2>didn't learn englist she went to school, so she's like
<v Speaker 2>that's how it is. And I'm like, okay, but like
<v Speaker 2>you know English like your main language now, so like anyway, so,
<v Speaker 2>like my point is, if you really like the person
<v Speaker 2>and they're like actually potentially like a good match for you,
<v Speaker 2>hopefully they will be willing to take your thoughts into
<v Speaker 2>account and they will realize that you're right and they're wrong,
<v Speaker 2>and it also brings me back to I hate this
<v Speaker 2>and I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I
<v Speaker 2>have just such a sincere hatred for this saying when
<v Speaker 2>people say, well, there's no ethical consumption under capitalism anyway,
<v Speaker 2>so they use that as an excuse to just do
<v Speaker 2>whatever fucking shit things they want, and they're like, it's okay,
<v Speaker 2>because like everything's bad and the giving that's what this
<v Speaker 2>no voting is giving, because it's like they're being like, well,
<v Speaker 2>I think that he's an evil person, but like my
<v Speaker 2>vote doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, you know, and it's like, okay,
<v Speaker 2>Like that's the same. You can be like it's okay
<v Speaker 2>if I litter because I'm only one person and it's
<v Speaker 2>everybody else is Literally it's like, oh, if I don't vote,
<v Speaker 2>that's okay because other people are going to vote.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, And it's stupid.
<v Speaker 2>It makes me mad, and I think we should all
<v Speaker 2>do our part, even if it feels like it's like
<v Speaker 2>this insurmountable thing that we can never change. You know,
<v Speaker 2>if we all try, then hopefully things will really change,
<v Speaker 2>like things have changed in the past, and things have
<v Speaker 2>changed for the worst recently because of people that are voting, and.
<v Speaker 1>I shouldn't be voting. I'm sorry. There should be like
<v Speaker 1>a cab when you can vote, like take a test
<v Speaker 1>to where you're.
<v Speaker 2>Like, okay, yes, and I think you should have to
<v Speaker 2>take some sort of a test to like prove like
<v Speaker 2>your cognitive skill.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna be all over Fox News right now.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's crazy because like when we're after Trump won
<v Speaker 2>this most recent time, there were people searching like how
<v Speaker 2>do I change my vote?
<v Speaker 1>What is a tariff? Like you know?
<v Speaker 3>And I'm like you why, like the most up? Why
<v Speaker 3>don't you look this stuff up?
<v Speaker 1>They're like I didn't think too.
<v Speaker 2>Because yes, yeah, Anyway, my point is he seems like
<v Speaker 2>he has he seems like he's sort of smart because
<v Speaker 2>he's not like a maga person.
<v Speaker 1>At least he agreed we have. He has that going
<v Speaker 1>for so you all you got to do is show.
<v Speaker 3>Him the validity in your one vote counting.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, and and you're a woman, so he should listen.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, obviously, yeah, he should worship the ground you walk on.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, like he every man should listen to all the
<v Speaker 1>women in the world. I think we should run the
<v Speaker 1>world and they shouldn't even have opinions or thoughts.
<v Speaker 2>That I saw like a clip of a podcast or
<v Speaker 2>something where they were like, I don't think men should
<v Speaker 2>be allowed to vote, and I was like, oh my god, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I think the same thing, but in the way that
<v Speaker 2>they're not allowed to vote, then their votes can't count,
<v Speaker 2>like we only count women and non binary people.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, point being, I think it's worth it to keep
<v Speaker 2>talking to this person and show him the error of
<v Speaker 2>his ways.
<v Speaker 3>You know, yeah one time. This is not the same,
<v Speaker 3>but showing someone the error of their ways.
<v Speaker 2>I had to explain to an adult man who was
<v Speaker 2>like married and had kids that cows don't just magically
<v Speaker 2>make milk. They have to like be impregnated and have
<v Speaker 2>like babies, and that is where you know, the lactation
<v Speaker 2>comes from.
<v Speaker 3>And so now he knows that.
<v Speaker 2>Point being, sometimes people are like sure, they're so sure
<v Speaker 2>of something, and then you can explain to them with
<v Speaker 2>facts and then they're like, oh, oh my god, that
<v Speaker 2>makes sense because like my wife didn't lactate until she
<v Speaker 2>was having the baby.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, wow, well you educated him, Yes, yes, educating
<v Speaker 1>men one woman at a.
<v Speaker 3>Time, yes, I mean it's so so, but because we're
<v Speaker 3>smarter anyway, do you have anything else to say to Lizzy.
<v Speaker 1>I agree with you. I think, yeah, I think it
<v Speaker 1>might be worth it to give it a shot and
<v Speaker 1>to hopefully I hope that he can come around and
<v Speaker 1>be like, oh my god, I'm so stupid and wrong
<v Speaker 1>and let me continue voting for like the rest of
<v Speaker 1>my life. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, hopefully he still has time. Hopefully he's not like eighty.
<v Speaker 3>We don't know how old.
<v Speaker 1>We don't know the age if he is at that point,
<v Speaker 1>And I mean, fuck, maybe he shouldn't just vote time
<v Speaker 1>I can give a fast but at least he has
<v Speaker 1>like the right ideas.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so, like I don't know, I don't know. Thank
<v Speaker 2>you so much for tuning in to but I'm a Lesbian.
