Speaker 1: Welcome to But I'm a Lesbian, the podcast where we
serve all batty SaaS, queer film reviews, and everything in between.
Whether you're a baby gay or a queer elder, we're here,
we're queer, and we're diving deep into all things lesbian.
Get ready for some sapphig serotonin. And today we have
another special guest. So this is our producer, sound mixer, photographer,
amazing friend, Victoria. So she's also the artist behind our
theme song. So if you like that, that's her, that's
me still little falsetto yes, And she made she does
She does a lot of really cool artistic things, as
you can tell by my introduction of all the things
that she does. But she also made this gorgeous homemade
jewelry and we have it in our giveaway that we
had recently, so it's another cool thing that she does.
Speaker 2: So it makes me sound cooler than I am.
Speaker 1: No, she is so cool. And she's a Libra. She's
a fucking libra.
Speaker 2: So Libras are the best almost the best Aquarius risings.
Speaker 1: Oh that's why. That's also why she's so unique. Very yeah,
I was gonna say weird that is that I was
trying to be nice. But why am I being nice
to aquariums when I'm an aquarius and I say I'm weird.
Speaker 2: I like being strange. Yeah, interesting, I think so too.
I have you seen The Craft? Of course?
Speaker 1: Okay, I've asked some people and they haven't seen it.
But you know, there's like the part where they're at
the at the bus and the guys like, be careful here, girls,
there's weirdos out here, and she's like, we are the
weirdest mister. Yes, I had that on my nails one time,
but it was awkward because the girl that did my
nails at the time had not even seen the movie.
So she's like, I don't know why you watched it afterward.
I hope so too, but I don't know. She's like
trying to think I'm due for a rewatch. Yeah, yeah,
me too. That's one that I make my wife watch
a lot. I love it. AnyWho, So, thank you so
so much for coming on this episode. I'm so excited
for our listeners and viewers to see how funny and
gorgeous you are, because it's.
Speaker 2: Fun to be in front of the camera instead of
behind it.
Speaker 1: Exactly. Yes, so I know sometimes She'll be behind the
camera and she like makes a face to something we say,
and it's so hard for me to try not to
like react or look directly at her.
Speaker 2: So I can be like the like disembodied voice chiming,
and sometimes.
Speaker 1: Would be funny, like if you're fact checking us, it's like,
actually gay marriage was legalized in Yeah, okay, that is
so funny. So I wanted to ask you about one
of our favorite topics around here, which is movies. So
I wanted to ask you what's your favorite movie genre
or like top on one.
Speaker 2: I think it's one that you don't like. I like
sci fi a lot, and fantasy. I do like aliens.
Speaker 1: Oh man, I just in the I was like, I
made a face.
Speaker 2: And I also live for old lady British period dramas.
I love a Victorian drama true to my name, So
oh that makes sense. Yeah, I've seen every iteration of
pride and prejudice that exists.
Speaker 1: I've never seen Pride and prejudice. I've also never read
the book. I haven't read the book yet, okay, Like
I don't know. Okay, So we're at some point going
to do a portrait of a lady on fire I
love that movie. Yeah. I was like, yes, I was like,
she would love this. Okay, So I did see that movie,
but I only saw it once. I need to rewatch it.
I did like brought it up.
Speaker 2: When you guys were like talking about what films to cover,
and I was like, I've seen that one.
Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, and you're like it's slow and I'm sorry.
Speaker 2: I was like, but it is gay.
Speaker 1: I know that. And the title the title is a poem.
I mean, it's beautiful, very gay.
Speaker 2: Doesn't it make you wet? Audience? Come on?
Speaker 1: I do remember. I think what I remember most was
like I liked that they stayed true to I could
be wrong remembering this wrong, but I feel like I
remember that the women were not shaved in like no.
Speaker 2: I think it was like, I think they had like
a historical piece. When it's like, why doesn't she have
armpit hair?
Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, this is crazy. So I remember,
does she have a waxer? She was an early adopter
of getting rid of all of your hair because you're
a woman. She has an eppillator. Yeah, no, I I
do like that. There's another one that I watched recently
that I think you would like. I don't know if
I told you about it. It's called the Favorite. No, okay.
It also has Rachel wisen It, who we're gonna soon
talk about Disobedience, which is a lesbian movie she was in.
Speaker 2: Which I didn't see and you talked about and I
need to see the spinning though.
Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's this classic.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what I'm doing tonight.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a really good movie. But okay, the Favorite
is about Oh, I'm probably gonna sound dumb because I
don't know which queen it was whatever, some queen that
was I think, yes, well it was a long time ago.
Speaker 2: Yeah it was Victoria.
Speaker 1: Oh, oh my god, probably yeah.
Speaker 2: Well, is there rumors of her being a lesbian? She
was rambunctious, Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 1: This queen was as maybe gay, and they really build
on that in this movie because she has like favorite
not really servants but kind of like handmade people. They
and them fucking and then it's like you gotta be
the favorite, right, Like, I don't know anyway you would
like that? I think I would. Yes, So I'm losing
feathers from my outfit so that keeps happening. So that's cool. Well,
cats do shit a lot at tracks, that's true. I'm
just fitting in, so okay, this brings me too. I'm
really curious about this because I don't know that we've
talked about this before. Who is your club crush?
Speaker 2: I had to think about this at home. This is
not a spontaneous answer. Okay for those of you, no
one knows me, so not for those of you. Done emmy,
I guess I'm Pan. I used to go by Bye
and then I realized pan was an option. Yeah, so
I have two for my man option. I picked up
gay obviously.
Speaker 1: Is it pedro?
Speaker 2: No?
Speaker 1: Oh he's not. He's straight, that's laws man. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I don't know if you know who this is Andrew Scott.
Speaker 1: Wait, why does that sound familiar?
Speaker 2: Irish? And I first fell in love with him when
he was the Hot Priest and Fleabag.
Speaker 1: Okay, I watched that, but I can't remember what he.
Speaker 2: Loved like he played Ripley most recently. He's just like
a not the script, white my type, white dude, dark hair, yeah,
dark eyes. He's just hot to me, but not like
damn like just like I don't know.
Speaker 1: He's just a good looking he does for me. Yeah, yeah,
I gotta look him up because I watched Fleabag, but
I can't remember what the priest probably like a seven.
Speaker 2: I like a seven.
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, Okay, approachable, Yes, Okay, this is so funny.
I think about this. Okay, I don't know. Do you
feel like being attracted to someone, like, do you feel
like their personality or like has like a lot to
do with it, Like even if it's like celebrities.
Speaker 2: Sure, I mean there's obviously like if you don't get
to interact with them, it's purely kind of the vibe
you look like. Yeah, but definitely if you can try
and suss out some personality traits, yeah, like if you're
a jerk, you lose a point.
Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I just feel my like man crush is
Seth Rogan, and people.
Speaker 2: Met Seth Rogan.
Speaker 1: I like choice, he's always high. He's a nice guy.
We wouldn't probably get along in real life because I
don't smoke pot, but I think he's so funny.
Speaker 2: I just show you his uh ceramics.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I just think he's so funny. And it's
like to me, like, I know, he's just like an
average looking guy, but it's cute. Yeah. I just whenever
I would tell people like, oh my god, it's a throgan.
Speaker 2: Love him.
Speaker 1: People are like that's weird, Like you, I don't think
that's weird, okay, especially coming from a lesbian. Yeah, I'm like,
he just seems like a good guy, you know, he's
one of the good ones.
Speaker 2: I met him when I worked at the pet store
and he came in high as a kite. He was like,
we saw him out front. He got out of his
jeep or whatever. He's like smoking a j puts it
out comes in wreaking a pot and it was like late,
no one's in there, luckily, and then he walks up
to the counter. I'm at the Redge and he's like, oh,
I forgot what I came in here for that.
Speaker 1: I was like, do you have an account with us?
Speaker 2: And he's like I do. And I was like, what's
the name on the account? And these guys always put
it under their wives names? Oh okay, because we also
had like Elijah Wood was uh and Mark Maren was
also a customer. And that guy sucks anyway.
Speaker 1: I don't know who that is.
Speaker 2: Mark Moron. Maren is Maren. He's a f him. It
doesn't matter.
Speaker 1: He's bad, He's a jerk.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's cheap anyway, I hate rich cheap people.
Oh yeah. So I was like, I think you're here
for dog foodser and he's like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
and I went and like I was like, I'll get it.
So that was like the main interaction. Oh my god,
that's so which is like just funny and nice, and
he's like, you guys have a great nut.
Speaker 1: Oh my god. Yeah. He seems very like even though
he's very high, he's very down to earth, you know,
like he's like famous, but he's like, I'm just a dude.
I also really like him because he has like spoken
about like purposely being child free, and I think that's
really cool because people that are married often get those questions,
and him and his wife have been together for a
really long time and people would always ask like, are
you guys gonna have kids? When you're gonna have kids,
He's like, I don't think our life would be as fun.
I wouldn't like our life as much if we had kids.
And that's like honest, you know an answer, yes, And
I love that. So anyway, tell me your other crush
as a producer.
Speaker 2: I'm like, how are we doing for time? Sorry quickly.
My female crush would be Zoe Kravitz.
Speaker 1: She's so beautiful, but.
Speaker 2: Probably because I also want to bang her parents.
Speaker 1: They're both very beautiful, That's why she's.
Speaker 2: But yeah, that's my answer.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand. I think that. Yeah, well, Zoe is
so beautiful. I mean, Lenny Kravitz is a good looking guy,
but she looks so much like Lisa Bonet, and I
always loved her When I would watch The Cosby Show
on Nick at Night, I was like, how is Denise
so beautiful? Like she's like the prettiest girl I've ever seen,
you know, And so then now she's his daughter totally
looks like her. Yeah, yeah, so she hit the parents pots,
Yeah she did. I have seen that. She I've seen
like some tiktoks that show like what work they think
she's had done, and it's but this is how you
know it's good work. It's undetectable, like you see people
and you're like, oh god, like reality we live in
this is a weird time. No, I think she had
like a Nodes job. But it's like I do watch
those videos.
Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, just on Instagram reel because I oh, I
know Angelina and I will be like quoting random TikTok sounds,
and Victoria is like, what are you guys doing Instagram yet?
Speaker 2: I haven't seen it.
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lag. Wait a few months, and then
I'll feel like that long. I don't know how long.
Speaker 2: It takes a week or two now, okay, okay, that's
faster it was on Reddit first probably.
Speaker 1: Oh okay, yeah, yeah, so okay. Anyway, So do you
have a hot take or a burning desires about this movie?
What is it?
Speaker 2: I have lots of burning desires.
Speaker 1: You are the double You're like in my homeland of Hell,
it's always Bernie God.
Speaker 2: Am I lustful? Is it weird when the devil say
is God?
Speaker 1: Maybe maybe you would say me, I'm so lustful because
it's like drop a comment?
Speaker 2: Is it weird? Okay, I'm gonna preface this by saying
I did not read the R. L. Stein series, so
I do not know how true to form this is.
But I do like that they made lesbians involved. I
was disappointed by the lack of gayness in movie two. Yeah,
and I thought it was.
Speaker 1: Weird that there was not one, but two kind of
graphic hetero sex scenes involving teenagers. Yeah, that was bold
and it wasn't like kind of like subtle.
Speaker 2: It was like banging.
Speaker 1: Yeah, the guy was fucking the chef both times. Yeah,
oh my god. I just remember the second one. I
was like, the second one, she don't stop.
Speaker 2: She was writing that, yeah boy, And then the first
one she was like harder and I was like whoa.
And I'm just like, in nineteen seventy eight, we definitely
had queer people. Yeah, and since there was bullies involved,
I feel like we could have taken liberties and had
even like a queer adjacent or vaguely queer person, even
like as a background character.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I felt like there could have been room for that.
Speaker 2: And or I don't know, like because I have seen
all three parts and none of the scenes between Dina
and Sam are gratuitous like that, and not that I
needed that, but I definitely didn't need the gratuitous like
straight sex.
Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, it did kind of feel like, are
they like, look, we're being progressive because it's gay, but
the sex scenes are not gonna be so much like
they supposed to be. Teenage No, Okay, this reminds me
I don't think you watched this show, but Euphoria, Yeah,
I don't know, Okay, I felt weird when I said
watching it because I know they're all adults, but they're
playing teenagers and they're First of all, you can tell
that a man directed it because there are penises everywhere,
Like it's so much full frontal male nudity, and my
wife and I were like, wow, fuck, like why are
there so many penises? And then they're supposed to be kids,
and then there are a lot of like sex scenes
and a lot of boobs, and I'm like, these are
all these are all teenagers, you know, Like I know
that they're in their twenties, but it is weird that
they made it so sexual.
Speaker 2: But it's a little bit of the hick for me.
Speaker 1: Yeah, well my hot take was kind of similar, but
yours is much more thought out. Mine was just I
was sad that it's not that gay, and I forgot
that this one wasn't really gay because the first one
and the third one are gay and the second this
one is gay in a way because Dina and Sam
do still exist in the movie, and like there are like,
you know, the whole point is that Dina is trying
to save Sam, who has been possessed, and that is
her girlfriend and they are in love, so it's like
still a little gay. But in the seventies portion there
was nothing okay, which I thought was weird. So yeah,
I agree with your hot take. So okay, we are
going to take a quick little break, ye, so grab
some snacks and your emotional support item because this one
is a little spooky and we'll be right back and
get into the recap. Welcome back to but I'm a Lesbian.
This week we are discussing Fierce Street Part two, nineteen
seventy eight, and our guest co host Victoria is going
to the recap on this one.
Speaker 2: Yay, but don't mess it up. Lots of spoiler alerts.
If you didn't watch it, pause, go watch it on Netflix.
Speaker 1: It's well I was gonna say it's free, but you
have to pay for Netflix. That's free if you pay
for you have Netflix.
Speaker 2: Yeah, So to recap, Part one ends with Sam is
now possessed by the Witch and she stabs Dina, and
then Dina's on the phone with a c Burman, who
was the lone survivor of the night Wing Camp incident
and she says it's never over. So that's how part
one ended. So we pick up with this Sea Berman,
the survivor, and she has a note that says it's
happening again, which, as you recall, was Sheriff Good left
that at her house. And she's seems a little cuckoo
pun intended because she in a room full of clocks.
Speaker 1: So I was like, what I forgot about that? Too
heady for you.
Speaker 2: I I forgot that she had all these like alarm
I kind of like that, but maybe that means I
like psychosis. But so she has a room full of
clocks that remind her of all the things she needs
to do, like go to work, eat, feed her dog,
who's uh, really cute. And then in the middle of
the night, so she's like super paranoid clearly, and she
like triple checks everything. And in the middle of the
night there's a bunch of knocking on doors and windows
and flashlights and she thinks it's like monsters coming for
her or whatever, but no, it's just Dina and Josh.
Oh yeah, it's Sam, who's tied up in the trunk. Yeah,
Like Sam's just like tied up all of this maybe,
so if you forget about Sam, that's where she is.
And so they're asking Bremen. I keep saying Burmin.
Speaker 1: No, I think it is Bermin. I don't know. I
wrote it as Bermin seed Burman.
Speaker 2: Okay, I'll say see you find out her answers on
how to stop the witch since she actually survived. And
then they decide to tie up Sam somewhere else, so
they tire up in the bathroom, and then we just
cut to nineteen seventy eight to find out what happened.
So it's the Nightwing summer camp and we're kind of
focused on this seat Berman. We don't know which sister
she is. We're guessing Cindy. So there's Cindy Berman and
then there's Ziggy and we open on Ziggi, who's a
younger sister and she's getting kind of beat up and
bullied by a bunch of kids led by this bully
named Sheila, and they're calling her a witch, and so
clearly she's like an outcast.
Speaker 1: I feel like they could have made Ziggy gay. She
seems ripe to be gay. I'm just gonna throw that
one up. I feel like a lot of times like
because they're trying to like they're so they're trying so
hard to make it like fit with me stream. They're like, well,
it's a trilogy, we'll make one of them not have
anything gay, you know, Like I don't know. They feel
like it's gonna get put into like the gay category
or something instead of in the horror of people are queer,
Like yeah, no, I agree. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Also okay, sidebar, Yeah, I don't know. When I was
in high school, like a lot of people were experimenting,
especially women, So I feel like it would have been
normal for the girls to be trying it out.
Speaker 1: But whatever, Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 2: So they threatened to hang Ziggy from the tree, which
is like Jesus, yeah, really violent. They burn her arm,
and then I forgot who comes to break it up?
Speaker 1: Is it the good or white dudes?
Speaker 2: White dudes come to the rescue, And then we cut
to Cindy. Okay, now I have Burman, so I don't know.
I was drinking wine.
Speaker 1: I really think it is.
Speaker 2: I don't know. So then we cut to her sister, Cindy,
and she's cleaning the outhouse and so clearly she's like
a camp counselor and she's there with her boyfriend. I wrote,
she's a virgin, goodie, two shoes and a snitch. Yeah,
and then she like, I think she's looking for the
radio or something, and she like walks in on the
other camp counselors, one of which is like Alice, her
like ex best friend who's a punk, and she's like
going to Poundtown with her boyfriend. Yeah, so that's gratuitous
sex number one. Yeah, and they're smoking pot so they're bad.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
Speaker 2: Meanwhile, Ziggy goes to see Nurse Lane because she has
a burnt arm, and so they're kind of chatting and
she asks her about the Witch's mark, and we know
that Nurse Lane's daughter is Ruby Lane, which is one
of the killers. Yeah, the creepy one that sings Who's Hot. Yeah,
I'm such a weirdo. I knew a meeting. The song
that Ruby Lane sings, by the way, it's the Mills Brothers.
Speaker 1: What was the song? I don't even remember it.
Speaker 2: You always hurt the ones you love.
Speaker 1: Ah, that's sad because she killed, like I think she
killed like her friends at a party or something.
Speaker 2: And oh yeah, there's a good choice.
Speaker 1: Yeah, And he was like, oh, I love the Mills Brothers.
I have her on a record. I should play that later.
Speaker 2: I'm gonna put that one on and so Nurse Layne's
kind of like creepy, and then she says something weird
and she's like, I don't know. She kind of like
goes into an episode while she's like rapping Ziggy's arm
and she's like doing it too tight, and Ziggy's like, oh,
you're hurting me. And then like.
Speaker 1: Nurse Layane's like sometimes killing isn't murdered, it's justified, and
she's like.
Speaker 2: Breaking out and I was like, WHOA did I just
hear that? So, like, you know, she's she's losing it,
and I don't remember if we see it then, but
like Nurse Layne has like a journal where she's got
all of her like ideas about the Witch, like how
to stop it and stuff like that. Yeah, we see
it sometimes.
Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like they vaguely show, like
Ziggy you look at it at a notebook or something,
but they don't really like explain because I think why
she asks about the Witch's mark, but yeah, something like that.
Speaker 2: There's a lot of back and forth in this. Uh yeah,
so stay with me. Then we go back to Cindy
who is still cleaning with her boyfriend Tommy, and Nurse
Lane comes in. I remember she just kind of had
this weird episode with Ziggy and she comes in and
she says to Tommy, I'm sorry, but I can't save you.
One way or another. You're gonna die tonight. I saw
your name on the wall.
Speaker 1: And then she attacks him with the knife. What the
fuck missus Lane? Which, honestly, go miss Lane. She was
trying to end that shit. Now as a black person,
I'll you know, whatever you watched in a movie, you're like.
Speaker 2: If you just killed that fool right now? Movie Women
over women good?
Speaker 1: We didn't need a whole you know, even just done
twenty minutes in. She tried, but she fails because Tommy
knocks her out, and then Nurse Lane gets arrested. Damn.
Speaker 2: Anyway, then Ziggy's still getting bullied whatever, and they col
her a witch and they're so jealous, really are like
it's which is funny because now like we've reclaimed witch.
Like I don't know about you, I've been a witch.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think. Well, I always thought whiches
were cool because I love like practical magic, yeah, and
the craft obviously, and Harry Potter was really big when
like we were kids, So I was like waiting for
my acceptance letter, like I really wanted to. Now. Yeah,
I'm still like waiting.
Speaker 2: And because of our age, we were the exact same
age as Harry Potter.
Speaker 1: Yes, that's yeah. I know like I am one of you.
Speaker 2: I'm in your class.
Speaker 1: You I'm a Hufflepuff, just let me in.
Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm Gryffindor or raven Claw because
I'm very charismatic. You should take a test. Maybe I'm Slytherin.
Speaker 1: Okay, my wife is a Slytherin. Really yeah, but you know,
I don't know. She says she is. But I always
thought I was a Hufflepuff because I'm like friendly and
like nice and silly. But I've also heard of Hufflepuff
as like the stoner house, and I'm not a stoner
and Gryffindor as I've now conquered my anxiety and my sobriety.
I feel like a Gryffin door because I feel brave. Anyway,
you should take it to a beautiful transition.
Speaker 2: I love that for you.
Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's weird that they're calling her a witch
and making fun of her, because which is our cool?
Speaker 2: They're cool now, But I guess I'm ninety four seventy eight.
Speaker 1: Whatever, a long time ago.
Speaker 2: And so yeah, so Ziggy believes in the curse. She
thinks Shady Siders are cursed, and her sister Cindy doesn't
believe it, and they kind of get in a tiff,
and Ziggy's like, we're all cursed, like that's why mom
drinks and that's why dad left. And I was like,
whoa yesh.
Speaker 1: And Cindy calls her a monster and I thought that
was messed up.
Speaker 2: And then the bullies like tag up Ziggy's cabin with
a bunch of like graffiti that's mean and hurtful. And
then so, yeah, we are at like a summer camp.
So they split up the Shady Siders and the Sunny
Valers into two teams to play color war. So Shady
Side is blue and Sonny Bell is red, and that's
important because the kids are gonna be like running around
when the killer comes, so that's gonna be great. Tommy
has started feeling woozy and weird after the Nurse Lane
like attack, and so Cindy's convinced that Nurse Laane was
on drugs and that's why she attacked tom.
Speaker 1: Yeah, so they go over to her.
Speaker 2: Office to like look for them and oh, and they
find her diary on Sarah Fear, and so they realized
that Camp night Wing was actually built over the original
sixteen sixty six settlement, and she's kind of mapped it
out where everything was back then and where it is
in today's layout. And so then Alice, the other camp
counselor who's a punk, and her boyfriend Ernie. I'm glad
you're at the boyfriend's name because I didn't know I
pay attention to men's name.
Speaker 1: I was like, I don't know her boyfriend with the
long hair.
Speaker 2: You seemed like a nice guy. Okay, yeah, I think
they I didn't write this down. I think they come
into the room too, and yeah, and they're like drugs
and they steal the drugs and they run out into
the woods and the like where are you gonna go?
Find the Witch's house? And Cindy and Tommy are like
now and they like run after okay it's and Tommy
is like definitely out of it. And then they find
what they think are partially Doug Graves, but then they're
not sure if that's actually just Nurse Lane looking for
the missing hand, because they're like, oh, like if we
can find the severed hand, we can end the curse.
So it seems like this has now become common knowledge.
I feel like there's some gaps here.
Speaker 1: Yeah, likes to just understand.
Speaker 2: Like, how are we sharing this?
Speaker 1: Not whatter, It's fine, it's just a movie.
Speaker 2: Doesn't matter.
Speaker 1: It's a missing hand. It needs to be rejoined with
the rest of the quickly absorbed the information in the diary.
So I don't know, it's okay, I'll take it.
Speaker 2: And then so they find sarah Fears house, but it's like, okave,
like a subterranean thing dwelling, and they think it's been
recently used, and there's like an altar, the witch's mark
is there, and Alison Cindy go into one of the
rooms and they see Tommy's name written on the wall
of killers. Meanwhile, Tommy's acting weird as hell in the
other room with Alice's boyfriend Arnie, and he grabs an
axe he kills him. It is sad.
Speaker 1: He was a good guy. Probably yeah, I was.
Speaker 2: Like, I hope he was stone when he went out.
Seems like a died past. And then so Alice and
Cindy are like, oh shit, and they run deeper into
the cave and then they get trapped by like a
rock slide thing, and so now they're like deep inside
of a network of like caverns or what have you.
And so Tommy just leaves the Witch's Layer with his
axe to go kill other people. So from here on out,
we're gonna be toggling between the caves with Cindy and
Alice and Tommy killing people at camp.
Speaker 1: Okay, so try and stay with me.
Speaker 2: So back at camp, they're doing the color War thing,
which is and Ziggie and the future Sheriff Nick Good
have teamed up. They kind of were crushing on each other. Yeah,
and they decided to prank the bully Shila by dropping
a can of disgusting bugs all over her in the outhouse.
Speaker 1: Yeah that's my nightmare. I mean, also probably getting murdered
at a camp with by an expert bugs by yeah bugs.
Speaker 2: Oh my god. I feel like I can't stand a
chance against a murderer, but the bugs would be like, yeah,
I'm like I could outrun an ex murderer.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I probably would trip though, like I mentioned in
the last one, I would definitely be like falling in
the woods.
Speaker 2: Good, I just gotta run faster than you.
Speaker 1: Yeah. True. Yeah, that's like they they can only catch
the slowest people. Yeah, something I don't know.
Speaker 2: I was saying that kid in third grade? Really yeah,
and then it all went downhill.
Speaker 1: Oh damn.
Speaker 2: Okay, back in the cave, Cindy and Alice are arguing
because they're ex best friends, remember, and Alice doesn't believe
in the curse because she's a punk. And then they
figure out that the cave is like a network that's
shaped like the Witch's marks, so they use that to
figure out like where it's going. And then back at camp,
Tommy kills What.
Speaker 1: Did I say?
Speaker 2: I wrote, Tommy kills another kid? Headero kiss. That was
stream of consciousness there, so Tommy kills someone.
Speaker 1: And then the little chubby kid right, yeah he was
that actor was in Pen fifteen, which I talked about
in another episode. I love that he played a little
gay boy. I didn't like that they killed him, No,
it was that it was so cute. Yeah, he looked
like he would have grown up to be queer. Well,
he played a gay got a gay boy in PEN fifteen,
so I was like, well that was my gag in
a way. Yeah, we almost had a gay but they
killed him right away.
Speaker 2: What happened?
Speaker 1: Oh yeah?
Speaker 2: And then Ziggy and Nick like makeout in I don't know,
I forgotur and wait what and they get interrupted by
finding the dead body or whatever, and then back in
the cave. I'm getting whiplash.
Speaker 1: I know. It's a lot. It's a lot that happens back.
Speaker 2: In the cave. This is when Alison Cidy find like
the weird pulsating demonic heart beast thing.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like buzzing with flies.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1: It's gross. It's kind of reminiscent of like in the
first movie how when the fire happened and they anyway
as the killers like reformed. They came from like a
weird black goo and it looks like that black goop,
but this is like a giant it's like also giving
like have you seen Joe dirt? Yeah, you know, he
finds like the ball of shit from the sky somewhere
reminds me of but like wet and pulsating.
Speaker 2: It's gross.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the source of evil for sure.
Speaker 2: It's alive.
Speaker 1: Alice touches it. Why, I don't know. She's like, I'm
so cool, I can touch that.
Speaker 2: I would not touch that, and then she sees all
the killers and some of the killings, and that like
drives her temporarily mad, and so she runs away screaming
because like Cindy looks dead to her and she's freaking out,
and then she like horrifically breaks her leg.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was crazy.
Speaker 2: I don't like Gore by the way. Oh, like I
don't like horror movies. Horror Gore And I'm.
Speaker 1: Like, you have to come on this movie.
Speaker 2: You want to review a hory movie.
Speaker 1: I'm like, sure, Yeah, that was gross.
Speaker 2: And meanwhile, back at camp, Tommy.
Speaker 1: Is on the pro Oh yeah.
Speaker 2: Ziggy realizes that Sheila's still like locked in the outhouse
with bugs on hers, so she's like, whoop's gotta go
find her. And then Nick goes to find Cindy and
Alice and they're like rounding.
Speaker 1: Up the kids.
Speaker 2: They realize that there's a killer on the list. They're
trying to, you know, do the right thing. Then we
get our second gratuitous sex scene between two unimportant people.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but like hippie girl.
Speaker 2: The hippie girl and like the you know, preppy guy.
Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was just gross.
Speaker 2: Yeah, And then she got murdered and not him, And
I thought that was a poor choice.
Speaker 1: It was giving like that, but she was the shady sider.
Speaker 2: Yeah, it becomes very apparent in this movie that only
shady siders get murdered.
Speaker 1: Yeah, tailors, it's messed up. Yeah. It was also giving
that old trope of like a slutsky first type of thing,
Like they showed that she is a teenager and she
is happy sex and then she has to die. Yeah,
but Alice didn't die immediately. She was also a teenager
having sex immediately. Well I don't even remember if she
dies or not, to be honest, but you're still alive
right now.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Oops.
Speaker 2: Back in the cave, Cindy like stints Alice's broken leg,
and then they have a heart to heart. This is
all happening so fast. Cindy said that she regrets becoming
a prep. Alice is like I'm a cutter, and I
was like, damn, that hits. And then they find all
this red moss and Cindy, you remember seeing that when
she was scrubbing the outhouse earlier, so she's like, oh,
shoot or underneath the outhouse. And then back at camp,
Tommy just.
Speaker 1: Murdered four more children. Yeah, what the fuck Tommy?
Speaker 2: And then Siggy finally finds Sheila in the outhouse and
they start fist fighting, and some other dude comes. I
think his name was Gus. I don't know. He's like
someone's friend, and so I don't know what happened to Sheila.
I think she ran away and.
Speaker 1: She was like, I need to get away from these bugs. Yeah,
they knocked her out, oh I remember, now, Okay, they
knocked her out. Oh yeah, because then she was like
in the bathroom, like knocked.
Speaker 2: You out, like, and then Cindy hears. She's like screaming,
and Ziggy opens the toilet and sees her sister down there.
Speaker 1: She's like, what, you're in the ship, just.
Speaker 2: Down in the ship hold so gross and like Cyndy
and Alice didn't gag or anything.
Speaker 1: I'm like, come on now, that's probably so stinky and disgusting.
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was unrealistic. Yeah, and they like try to
pull her out. Ziggy and this random dude that's there
to help, possibly Gus. I think I didn't write down
his name. I was like, he's not important. Yeah, but
Tommy comes and murders the guy helping her.
Speaker 1: It's why he wasn't important. We knew he wasn't important,
and I was like, let me.
Speaker 2: Whin that back and get his name.
Speaker 1: He died.
Speaker 2: I was like, never mind, it doesn't matter. And then
what happened okay, and then Nick.
Speaker 1: This movie is just like I accidentally gave you and
then you put my food in the bag and you
give it to Ready, and then Nick and ZIGGI get
trapped in what I'm calling the wild animal room.
Speaker 2: I don't know what.
Speaker 1: Oh I thought of Angelina because there was a tarantula
in there. There was right, Yeah, so look sidebar.
Speaker 2: I saw my first I think it was my first
wild tarantula, Like last weekend down in Losulivo's Sweet I
was just like dining at a restaurant.
Speaker 1: It was really wild. Yeah, walking around it was so cool. Oh,
I'm so sorry. I'm so scared of them that I
had an involuntary reaction. You did.
Speaker 2: They were like jag grin.
Speaker 1: You're like, it's so cool, and well it didn't.
Speaker 2: It was cool from afar.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know why they scare me so much. Anyway,
dry Guy into Spider, I know, but I feel like
it's dumb, Like I'm a vegan. I should love all creatures,
and I do love them very afar like, yeah, anyway, okay,
they're in the wild Animal Wild Animal room. Uh.
Speaker 2: Tommy tries to kill Ziggy and instead Nicklake pushes her
out of the way and he gets axed in the
leg and then Tommy doesn't finish him off. And that's
when I was like, he won't kill a sunny veiler. Wow, prick, Yeah,
because some of them could probably get killed and I
wouldn't be mad about it. Yeah, And then Ziggie runs
but she can't catch the bust of children escaping, so sad.
Speaker 1: Yeah, you probably could have because you were the fastest
kid in third grade, so you would have made it.
I would have made you, kidding up, would have saved
Sheila would have gotten on that bus. I know. I
thought it was really nice that she did that, even
though Sheila is a cunt and one that her exactly
I was brought me and wanted to hang me. Yeah. Yeah,
she's a good person, I feel like, is what we're
gathering from Ziggy. Yeah, she's kind.
Speaker 2: So Ziggy misses the bus and then back in the cave,
Cindy have decided to split up because Alice has a
broken leg and is lagging it, and so Cindy is
looking for a way to get out because she needs
to help Ziggy because she saw that the murderers like
following her, and so she uh goes to find another
way out and thinks she found one. Meanwhile, Alice thinks
that she might have found the location where the witch's
hand is.
Speaker 1: So that's tight, we need that.
Speaker 2: And then Cindy breaks into the mess hall, which just
combediently happens to be where Ziggy is trapped wrapping up
very nicely.
Speaker 1: Yes, perfect.
Speaker 2: Tommy has Ziggy trapped in a storage closet and so
there's they're in the mess hall. Yeah, so there's lots
of knives. Yeah, and so she tries stabbing him. It
doesn't have an effect. Uh oh, sorry, Cindy has broken
into the mess hall. My bad. Cindy is now in
the mess hall. Oh yeah, yeah, Cindy is there, Ziggy
is there, there's knives, there's Tommy. Tommy chokes out Cindy
and then I don't know this, my notes are I
was like chasing sues. Yeah, I was like, Cindy stabs
him a bunch of times. Yeah, Tommy falls for now
and then I wrote, why do people always act like
they're safe and scary movies? Prematurely?
Speaker 1: I don't know. It bothers me so much.
Speaker 2: I was like, girl, you are still in danger.
Speaker 1: Yeah, you are still in danger. Yeah. It's like they're
always thinking like, oh, I knocked him out, so I
can go do this, Okay. When people just knock the
person out, I'm like, no, if you don't see brains,
you are not done. Yeah, like or you need to
get far away. Yeah. It's crazy, especially if they're undead,
which they don't know about Tommy yet. I think they
still just think. I guess they know that he's possessed,
but also I don't know that they know that he can't,
like that he can come back and stuff.
Speaker 2: Yeah, to be fair, I guess Cindy did stab him
a bunch of times. Yeah, but I don't also like,
if I'd stab my boyfriend a bunch of times, I
don't think I would like sit in the same room
near him with my sister and.
Speaker 1: Be like we did it, Oh my god.
Speaker 2: Like I'd be like, we need to get the f
out of here.
Speaker 1: Yeah, the bus left us.
Speaker 2: Yeah, the bus left.
Speaker 1: We need to roll.
Speaker 2: Yeah, And then Alice emerges, so maybe they're waiting for Alice.
Speaker 1: I don't know.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she found the Witch's hand, so that's clutch ye.
And then I don't know why she did this. Ziggy's like,
let me touch that. She's like, I know, let me
touch that and bleeds on it. Fucking hell, we know
what that does. Yeah, okay, so she sees the witch,
so like if they weren't trying to kill her already,
Ziggy is now a target and now all the killers
of the past are going to be after her. And
then the creepy pulsating thing comes alive and that's where
the old killers are generated from. So they come to life,
and that means that Tommy regenerates and he gets up
and immediately kills Alice because she's in the way. Yeah,
it's so sad, I said, right in the middle of
a heartfelt monologue exactly.
Speaker 1: I was like, it's so sad because they were having
this like especially from a moment.
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like really cute. They like rectified their
friendship finally and thoroughly. And she was just like, my
life sucks and no one loves me and I'm never
gonna leave Shady Side and my boyfriend just got murdered.
Speaker 1: She just gets it's so sad. She was. I mean,
I was gonna say, she's right that she didn't get
to leave Shady Side, But I don't know that the
camp is in Shady Side, is it?
Speaker 2: Yeah?
Speaker 1: It is, Oh okay, So yeah, she didn't get it's
very sad. It's pretty must I know. And then this
was I think a highlight of the movie for me.
Cindy beheads Tommy with a shovel.
Speaker 2: Yeah, she was like, I mean business and I don't
like Gore, but I was like, that was wild. Yeah,
it was gratifying for me.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: And then we hear fucking Ruby Lane singing.
Speaker 1: Got creepy Miller mode otis the Mills brother Mills brothers
Miller otis that Miller?
Speaker 2: I love that Miller probably totally a person. Yeah, all right,
I think we're done with going back to the caves.
Thank god. Yes, everyone's out of the cave. Everyone's dead
or gone. So now who's left. We got Ziggy and
Cindy left and some other people but whatever.
Speaker 1: And they're like, we got to reunite the hand and
and the curse.
Speaker 2: Yeah, but since there's a part three, we know that
they fail. Oops, And so Ziggy and Cindy run to
the tree and attempt to dig up Sarah Fear's grave
and all of the old killers are coming up on
them and it's really creepy and they can't find the body.
And then like Ziggy just gets stabbed a bunch and
Cindy gets axed a bunch.
Speaker 1: Is crazy and they died.
Speaker 2: Yeah the end, dud just kidding, not the end, but
it was like, damn, like.
Speaker 1: It seems like the end.
Speaker 2: They just got Hella murdered.
Speaker 1: Yo, Yeah, I got where are we going from here?
The acts thing with Cindy, it was like just.
Speaker 2: That was gross.
Speaker 1: The sound effects there, it was okay. As a sound
designer though, props. Yeah, that was legit.
Speaker 2: The crunchy, slushy sound. I don't know what it's supposed
to sound like, but very believable.
Speaker 1: It's like the opposite of ASMR because like you want
like this nice relaxing ASMR and this is like terrifying sounds.
But yeah, it was.
Speaker 2: It was pretty graphic. So so at this point in
the movie, which one do you think is Seaberman?
Speaker 1: Okay, So it was interesting because this I watched the
whole series, like when it first came out, and then
I hadn't seen it for like five years or whatever,
and so when I was rewatching it this time, I
was like, I don't know who is it? Because I
thought that it was going to be Cindy. But then
I thought, is that too obvious? Because did anyone does
anyone name their child Ziggy? Especially in the seventies, it
seems like a nickody name, you know. And then also
Sadie Sink plays Ziggy and she was like really famous
at the time because the Stranger Things and the other girl.
I hadn't seen it anything, so I was I was
starting to think maybe Ziggy is ce Berman and Ziggy
is like a nickname. But then I honestly was like,
is it some other random person? Because they both got killed? Yeah,
they were killed. They were killed. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I was like, how is.
Speaker 1: Both of them?
Speaker 2: I was deader than dead? I was like, who is
coming back right now?
Speaker 1: Yeah? So I don't know what did you think? You
were just thinking they're both dead? So well, so.
Speaker 2: I was like, okay, uh, Cindy. I thought it was well,
it seemed obvious it would be Cindy, but then that
also seemed too obvious. But also ce Berman Current Day
or whatever in the nineties has a dog named Major
Tom and that's a David Bowie reference. And they're playing
David Bowie at the beginning, and Ziggy is also a
David Bowie reference. So then I was like, I think,
see Berman is Ziggy. Also, Ziggy got stabbed in like
less axed fatal ways, whereas like or sorry did I
say Cindy Ziggy? I was like, Ziggy got stabbed in
a less fatal way, like Cindy's chest cavity was not
coming back from that, So.
Speaker 1: I was like, like, stabbing her chest so so much.
Speaker 2: For second, I was like, is there about to be
magic or something? I was like, I love magic. Yeah,
You're like, I know this upernatural. I love magic.
Speaker 1: Yes. The Witch comes out and like saves. Yeah. It's like.
Speaker 2: And I was like, whoa that would be taking liberties
with Arlestein. Yeah, okay, So we were like, I don't know,
and then Nick runs up and.
Speaker 1: Gives CPR to Ziggy and he calls her Christine Strawberry girl. Christine.
I don't know if anyone knows that's well, I do
you do? That's what matters? Okay, Susy and the banshees
and and then we hear a voiceover of Ziggy adult
Ziggy saying, most days I wished I'd stayed dead.
Speaker 2: Oh that was sad. And then we popped back to
present day. And at this point I did pause the
movie and I was like, God, how how much movie
is left?
Speaker 1: They're kind of each long, and there was still, like,
I want to say, like thirty minutes. Somehow You're like,
is this a joke?
Speaker 2: I was like, what is left? And somehow this what
I wrote? And two paragraphs took thirty minutes. But we
popped back to present day and Ziggy has been telling
this story to Dina and Josh that we've been witnessing,
and basically at the end, when Ziggy is like recovering
and the cops are there, she's telling them about the
curse and the witch, and no one believes her because
why would they.
Speaker 1: Yeah, and Nick is just like kind of quiet, even
though he had told her that he believed her, because
he wants to be a sheriff when he grows up,
because his daddy sheriff.
Speaker 2: Yeah, his daddy's daddy sheriff.
Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you can do something different, you can, Yeah,
don't be a square. Yeah, so I knew I didn't
like him from when they showed him as a grown
up little sus Yeah, but it is nice that he
saved her because he loved her.
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was chill.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a good thing he did. Also helping
with the bugs, that was also a good thing he did.
Speaker 2: Yeah, he like peaked right then.
Speaker 1: Yeah, he was cool when he was like fourteen. They
are when he got shitty.
Speaker 2: Honestly, I think I peaked in high school too. I mean,
I don't know, it depends, well, it depends. Yeah, I
guess one can have multiple peaks. But it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, because you are cool because you're a libra.
Speaker 2: Though, I'm cool with more money though, so I'll take that.
Speaker 1: Okay, this is what I hear. Like, I've heard people say, like,
your thirties are like your twenties, but you have more
money so they're better. Yeah, I do feel like that.
Speaker 2: Also, I have better boundaries now too, which I think
is infinitely more important.
Speaker 1: Yes, and I'm way more comfort than I was in
my twenties. And even though like there are like some
signs of aging that make me upset, but I'm like
where I don't know, Well, I have a what are
you talking about?
Speaker 2: Your fallless get out of here?
Speaker 1: But it's just it's like it's scary, but I don't
have that many gray hairs, so are fine. Anyway, what
were we talking about before I decided to like be
vain in terns.
Speaker 2: I was gonna say Nick and Ziggy don't end up together?
Oh yeah, yeah, why would she? She's too cool.
Speaker 1: She's like, I just need major Tom and all of
my clocks and I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she tells Tina and Josh that there is
no end.
Speaker 1: Yeah, She's like she's like, my life has sucked since
then pretty much. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Like it's like, cool, I'm alive, but I'm alive, but
I'm not living and it's like.
Speaker 1: Whose fool is that? Though? Yeah? And then like Josh
and You are like, oh no, there's an end, Like
we just we know where the body is.
Speaker 2: Just he tell us where the hand is?
Speaker 1: Yeah, like you didn't really have to tell us this
whole sorry, cool story, bro, but like where's the hands?
This lonely older woman, it's like, let me let me
tell you get that hour of my life back, but
where's the hand? Sam is like still at the bathroom.
Speaker 2: This whole time, she's just making some zombie noises, so sad.
And then I don't know. I think maybe I looked
at my phone because I was like texting a cutie,
but I guess it. They went to the mall and
John and Dina.
Speaker 1: I was like, wait, why are they the mall?
Speaker 2: I looked up. It's like, what's going on?
Speaker 1: I think did they figure out that the mall was
over something? Also like the mall I couldn't be bothered
to rewind, but I think it was something like that, Like.
Speaker 2: I think you told them like that's the hand was
so they like dig up the hand in the mall
and then they take it back out to the witch's
body out in the middle of the woods, which we
saw on part one. And then of course, whenever someone
touches that freaking hand, their nose starts bleeding. So Dina's
nose starts bleeding over the hand, and as she puts
it on the body, she has this crazy ass vision
and then she sees herself like as Sarah Fear in
sixteen sixty six, and sees her reflection like in the well.
Speaker 1: Yeah, and the rest is to be continued. Yeah, wild
that's pretty crazy because I wondered how they were going
to tie in sixteen sixty six. Yeah, Like I'm like, oh,
this is so weird. So okay, so it's kind of
like gonna be something where she is like living it,
like we're seeing it. I think, so Sarah's eyes, but
the actors is going to be still dinah. Yeah, which
I'm like, damn it.
Speaker 2: I love a period piece.
Speaker 1: I know it's funny because originally I wanted you to
do this one and we ended up having to switch
stuff around. Or I wanted you to do the third
one because I was like, oh it's old it's old time.
Ush'll like it. The day that this airs tomorrow is
my birthday. Yeah, so this is my birthday gift. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I get to be on the pod.
Speaker 1: Yay.
Speaker 2: So fun.
Speaker 1: So yeah, then they say that's all that happened, right,
They are like to be continued. So that was really cool,
and thank you for doing the recap O, thank you, yay, okay,
thank you for coming on. So here is the fun. Well,
it's all fun, but this is like a part we
do on every episode. So munch Merge, murder and again.
The options are the grown up versions and I really
want to make sure that that is noted and the
alive versions, because two of these people die, but there's
not a lot of women, and I refuse to put
men in here, even though I know that your pan,
but I don't put men.
Speaker 2: None of those guys were appealing.
Speaker 1: Okay, yes, not well maybe Ernie before he died.
Speaker 2: I don't know.
Speaker 1: Okay, So the options are Cindy, Alice, and Ziggy. Okay.
Speaker 2: I did not prepare an answer for this.
Speaker 1: It's more it's more fun that way. It's like off
the cuff, so.
Speaker 2: I was thinking more. I flipped it more like if
I were a teenager, oh okay, instead of they were adults,
because like none of these people if I was an adult.
But if I were a teenager, Cindy's kind of my
type because I was definitely like a punk a lot
of my teenage dumb.
Speaker 1: So you would like Cindy and her.
Speaker 2: I would probably like hook up a munch Cindy, I think,
And then I would probably merge with Ziggy, I guess,
because she's like kind of radical and has a good heart,
and Alice is pretty boring, so let's just murder her again.
Speaker 1: That's sad, I kind of I, well, I feel the
boy left. No, I'm like trying to think, Okay, I
think I also would.
Speaker 2: Oh wait, I said, Cindy, Oh my god, I got
my people mixed up. Alice.
Speaker 1: I thought you meant you were a punk and she
did ballet and.
Speaker 2: You wanted to be the skater boy and like you,
so you were like I like, I like brain parted.
I would munch Alice punk to punk and then I
would merge with and then I would murder Cindy boring
Virgin Goodie too. She's yeah, yeah, because she wouldn't munch
or merge anyway. No, no, she wouldn't.
Speaker 1: Okay. So I did feel weird about this one because
I don't uh okay. The girl that plays Alice looks
so much like my cousin Brenna, and like the first
time we watched this, I was like, oh my god,
I've never seen anyone that looks like Brenna, and she
looks just like her, like and I don't even think
my cousin was well, she's like twenty two no, I think, no,
oh my god, wait, she's like Angelina's age. She was
born in two thousand, so actually she's like twenty five now.
But anyway, point being, I was like, I think she
was still a child when this came out. Anyway, point being,
I could not because the actress looks like my cousin.
I feel like anything else would be like vaguely sexual
and like incestuous in my mind. But I don't want
to kill my cousin. But I feel like I would
have to murder Alice because she reminds me of But
if you merged with her in a sexless marriage, oh okay,
I could do that. Okay, so that's a good idea
of you option because I really don't like Cyndia. I
think she's really boring, and I liked Alice more. Yeah,
so yeah, you're right. Okay, So I would sexlessly merge
with Alice and we would just be actual, very best friends,
and with I would munch ziggye grown up ziggie. Because
even though Sadie Sink was technically an adult when this
movie came out, she looked like so young. She looks crazy.
So I'm like talking about forty year old nineteen ninety
four Sea Berman.
Speaker 2: I can't wait to see what she looks like old.
I think she'd be a really pretty, like fifty year
old lady.
Speaker 1: Yeah, probably because she'll always have some sort of like
a I don't know, like a little youthful glow. Hopefully
her skin doesn't get too destroyed because she's very pale.
Speaker 2: Yeah, better where that sunscreen, Sadie.
Speaker 1: Yeah, but she's a vegan, so hopefully I always am
like me and my baby are.
Speaker 2: Okay, don't mean to like hurt your feelings. A collagen
is key?
Speaker 1: Oh and oh I use vegan collagen.
Speaker 2: Okay, tell her to get that vegan college.
Speaker 1: Yes, she needs that, Okay, I would. I would also
murder Cindy because she's boring. So my bye Cindy. So okay,
I'm really interested to know what you would rate this
movie as someone that is not that into horror movies.
Three cherries okay, Okay. So it's just like it's fine.
Speaker 2: I thought it was hokey. Yeah, it felt like it
was for children, but then there was like whoa wed sex? Yeah,
and I was like this is not for children, and
I was like, wait, with the gore, this is probably
rated R. So I'm very confused on who the audience is. Yeah,
I'm not the audience, though.
Speaker 1: I think I'm the audience. I think because R l
Stein was like very pop fuler with millennials, and this
came out in twenty eighteen or nineteen. It was like
pre pandemic, so like, I feel like we were the
age group. And it was perfect for me and my
wife because, as we talked about in the last episode,
she loved like the Goosebumps and she read some of
the Fear Street. I didn't because I was too scared,
but I wanted to watch it because now I like
scary movies and I will watch anything if there's lesbians
in it. So I heard that it was kind of gay,
and I was like, we gotta watch that, and she's like,
I already wanted to watch it. So I think we
were the target audience, like that age group, like late
twenties at the time. But yeah, it maybe that's part
of why it didn't do that well, or I never
hear people talk about it.
Speaker 2: It wasn't bad though, it was definitely like fun to watch.
It wasn't like a waste of my life.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna give this. It's really hard because I
really liked all of them, and I want to give
them all of five out of five, but this one
was the least gay.
Speaker 2: Which made me sad about loss of a Yeah, so
you have to lose a cherry, so four, I would
say four out of five.
Speaker 1: It's still pretty good. Yeah. Yeah, I did really like it.

Our handle on all platforms is at But I'm a
Lesbian Pod. Welcome back to But I'm a Lesbian. Here,
Here we are. I was going to say, here's our
special segment. So it's special because I'm here. Yes, okay,
So we are going to do the same type of
questions for each guest on this little special Halloween series.
I guess. So it's get to know our guest and
I'm going to ask and Victoria will answer.
Speaker 2: So I love talking about myself, kay, okay, because I'm
a Libra. Yeah so this wasn't one of the questions.
Speaker 1: I know you want to know.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a Libra son. Yes, I Leo Moon and
an Aquarius rising. Wow, so I can talk about myself forever.
Speaker 1: I love this. I feel like I forgot But I'm
also Leo moon, so we have the same moon.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I'm surprised this pod episode hasn't gone like.
Speaker 1: Three hours, you know. Well, you know what's so funny too,
is that so like we had wa in the last
episode and she it's so interesting because she has the
same sun sign as me and the same rising sign,
but I feel like we're so different. But I guess
she just took on different traits because she's an Aquarius
sun and a Leo rising. But then she's a Scorpio
moon and I see so much of the scorpioness in
her though, because she's very like quiet and sterious. Yeah,
And I'm like, let me tell you my whole life story,
and she's like, stop telling people everything, let me tell
you everything about Yeah, let me overshare. Yes. So anyway,
I think, yes, thank you for sharing that. Do you
know what like your mid heaven is? Do you know
any of those things? I only looked into it recently
and I don't know that much about it.
Speaker 2: So I feel like those aren't as important.
Speaker 1: Well. I mean, they're called the Big Three for a reason.
Speaker 2: I like to know people's like Venus and Mars because
I think that relates more to how they like to
be cared for and how they need to be talked
to when there's disagreement, and I think that's more important
for like interaction with loved ones and friends?
Speaker 1: What is what does your mars tell you? I know
the venus has to do with love stuff relationship.
Speaker 2: You like how you like to be loved and what's
exciting and love, But you know that works for friends too,
like how you like to be cared for, And then
with mars could be like how you handle disagreements, but
how you are you but also just kind of how
you like show up.
Speaker 1: Okay, I need to look more into this. What's your
when you're bored? Yeah? What's your venus?
Speaker 2: My venus isn't Sagittarius? So I like excitement?
Speaker 1: Ahh okay, this makes sense when I both have venus
and Capricorn, which sounds boring. No, that sounds steady and wonderful. Okay,
I'm like boring because I don't.
Speaker 2: No tracks that you guys have been together for so long.
Speaker 1: I know that it's like oh okay, so okay, what
is either the most recent song you listen to or
the last book key read more? Both?
Speaker 2: If you want to tell me, I have a book
music pairing for you. So I am currently I just
got a kindle. I'm really excited. Oh, entering the Century fancy.
I like to flip pages. Okay, assue me.
Speaker 1: I did too, but I fold the book over and
that's really bad. It was finding.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm reading nineteen eighty four because the reality
of our world is not dystopian enough and I need
more fascism in my life. So big brother is watching
Oh my God, and so I'm reading ninety eighty four.
And I also just listened to the Brat album for
the first.
Speaker 1: Time, oh like like three sixties.
Speaker 2: No, no, I thought that was like a fun duality
that shows that I contain multitudes.
Speaker 1: Yes, okay, no, that is so good. And I have
never read nineteen eighty four because I went to a
lot of high schools and I know that we read
it in high school, but I always like missed when
it had been read at the other one. So I've
like never read it, So maybe I should. I don't know.
It might make me also frustrated more stad Yeah, like
when I read The Handmaid's Tale. Yeah, So what is
a comfort movie that you put on when you need
a little joy? And is it a period piece.
Speaker 2: This one was hard. I'm not like a movie guy. Yeah,
I probably turned in music when I need a comfort.
But I really like Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I could watch it a lot.
Speaker 2: And I even though Clementine's like really frustrating, I like
kind of want to be here also, Yeah, and I
like Hopeless Romance.
Speaker 1: I've never seen that movie. I've seen like clips of
it a million times and I've never seen it. Okay,
have to watch it. I love Kate Winsley. I think
she's like the most beautiful.
Speaker 2: She's so hot. Yeah, and she has like different colored
hair Pine for her in every way. The music is good,
Like I'm a sucker for instrumental music, like I love
instrumentals and nerd fact, all of the effects, the special
effects are done in camera. That means they built a
set so like there's a part where like Joel, which
is Jim Jim Carrey, like it thinks he's a baby
or whatever.
Speaker 1: It's it's trippy because they're going in.
Speaker 2: His mind and he's under the table and Clementine is big.
That wasn't cgi. They built a skewed table, so one
end was really big and the other end was really small,
so that it looked like Clementine was like monstrously tall
and he was a bait.
Speaker 1: It's oh my gosh, that's cool.
Speaker 2: Such a feat.
Speaker 1: Who was your favorite cartoon crush? Did you have a
cartoon crush when you were a kid.
Speaker 2: I wanted to be Sandy from SpongeBob. I wouldn't say
it crush, but I wanted to be here.
Speaker 1: Okay. And what's the best piece of advice anyone has
ever given you? So?
Speaker 2: This was actually a Maya Angelou quote that my friend
told me, and I didn't know it was a quote.
But when someone tells you who they are, believe them.
I love that one because it's usually people telling you
how shitty they are. Don't believe them.
Speaker 1: Yes, you make excuses for the behavior, pa, you stay
in shitty relationships, so don't do that. Yeah, okay. Do
you put ketchup on your fries or do you put
it on the side or do you not eat ketchup
on it?
Speaker 2: I'm not a monster. Put it on the side.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's normal.
Speaker 2: Dipping is normal. I don't want ketchup on my hands.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, I am glad that you do that
because my wife is weird.
Speaker 2: But you missed one question and I do have a good.
Speaker 1: Oh no, okay, what is the question? Is it my
leads for the lesbian ross? Okay, if you were to
green light lesbian rom com tomorrow, who would you cast
to lead?
Speaker 2: Very simple? Ruby Rose and Janelle Monet. Oh, and it
needs to be a robbery heist kind of thing. Okay,
I want to see them rob people rob men.
Speaker 1: Would this be Janelle Monet plane into more femme like
they do sometimes?
Speaker 2: No, I want Janelle Monee to be the soft mass
and then I want Ruby Rose to be like the
butcher fem Yeah. Okay, I love this. I do you
hear that Netflix greenlight it? Yes, people will watch it.
Men will watch it.
Speaker 1: Yeah, they will because they're both there and then there's
going to be a robbery heist thing going on. So yes,
heard it here first. Yeah. But if someone steals it
to you, like, uh, come back to this podcast and
you here where it was pitched. It's vaguely it was pitched,
but not directly to the intellectual property for this idea. Yeah, jesuise. Okay,
so thank you so much for being on the podcast.
Speaker 2: Thank you.
Speaker 1: I really want to have you come on another time
when we do a portrait of the Lady on Fire,
Let's do it? Yes, yes, okay, so and thank you
all for tuning in too. But I'm a lesbian. We
are your go to for Saffig media reviews, WLW drama
and unfiltered queer takes. If you enjoyed the show, please like, share,
and subscribe on every platform and leave us a review
to help support the queer community and keep this lesbian laedpoddriving. Literally,
I would appreciate it. Me and Angelina and Victoria and
my wife that does the editing, Monita, would really appreciate
if someone would leave us like a nice review on
Apple podcast. I think I don't know if you can
leave reviews with words on Spotify, but anyway, we don't
have any reviews that actually say anything, and it would
be really cool if even if you were like nice,
like just say something, we would really appreciate it. And
don't miss next week's episode because we'll be finishing up
the Sapphag trilogy with Fear Street Part three, sixteen sixty six,
which is also available on Netflix, and we're going to
have another guest host, Angelina's girlfriend Yami. So Angelina and
Yami will be hosting this next week's episode together and
I'm going to take the week off, So it's going
to be really cool. It's going to be an awesome
conclusion to this three part series. Until then, we will
see you next Tuesday. Executive producers for But I'm a
Lesbian are Caitlin Batty and Angelina Herrera. Produced and mixed
by Victoria Shiplett. Creative direction and video editing provided by
Juanita Here Your Day. Music by Stiletto Falsetto.
