<v Speaker 1>Jared, You, Katie and Josh mix one hundred Wow, hallelujah.
<v Speaker 2>JKJ made it back in for a fun Monday coming up.
<v Speaker 2>In about an hour, we're gonna dive into Fast five.
<v Speaker 3>Be ready to call in.
<v Speaker 2>Shoot, I remember what we had up for grabs today?
<v Speaker 2>Did I have to print that out for you? What
<v Speaker 2>do we have up for grabs today?
<v Speaker 4>It was on a print out I gave you right
<v Speaker 4>there in front of you.
<v Speaker 5>I have it. It's on here. Oh yeah, you're right,
<v Speaker 5>we have four Fast five.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, that's right. It's the tickets to see Whiz Khalifa.
<v Speaker 2>That's what it is. Get stoned. Let's send some people
<v Speaker 2>off to get stoned at red R.
<v Speaker 5>That four twenty show's amazing though he's been doing that
<v Speaker 5>for a minute, and yeah, Whiz Khalifa, those are some
<v Speaker 5>good days.
<v Speaker 2>Get your whiz on this morning in about an hour
<v Speaker 2>when we play.
<v Speaker 5>Actually April nineteenth, though it's the day before four well,
<v Speaker 5>close enough, still close.
<v Speaker 3>Enough, you'll still be getting stoned there exactly.
<v Speaker 4>It's that kind of show. How about those nuggets? Huh?
<v Speaker 4>Clinch right?
<v Speaker 3>Three seeds off?
<v Speaker 5>Three seed looks like we're taking on the Timberwolves again.
<v Speaker 3>It's always the timber Timberwolves.
<v Speaker 5>But you know what, we're healthy, We're playing the right
<v Speaker 5>kind of basketball at the right time. So absolutely, let's
<v Speaker 5>go Nuggets.
<v Speaker 3>It's exciting.
<v Speaker 5>Nicola is playing ridiculous basketball, insane basketball, and so is
<v Speaker 5>Jamal Murray.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Jogics just set the record.
<v Speaker 6>He's the only player of all time in NBA history
<v Speaker 6>to record a or lead the league in assist per
<v Speaker 6>game and rebounds per game.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, that is the most exciting thing.
<v Speaker 6>And it's absolutely absurd that he probably won't be walking
<v Speaker 6>away with the MVP Trophy this year.
<v Speaker 5>Insane, It makes no sense. But I'm don't understand this
<v Speaker 5>all respect for media members who didn't vote for him,
<v Speaker 5>because who wouldn't Who wouldn't vote for the best basketball
<v Speaker 5>player on the plane? I don't get me, But yeah,
<v Speaker 5>I mean still, it's a very good look for our
<v Speaker 5>Denver Nuggets and our sports in the Mile High City
<v Speaker 5>in Colorado in general.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, we are doing it.
<v Speaker 5>Do you Pioneers getting it done over the weekend eleven times?
<v Speaker 5>The Avalanche, the Mammot, the Nuggets, they are all just
<v Speaker 5>killing it. And the Rockies even look kind of good.
<v Speaker 3>What Let's go.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's a good time to be a sports fan
<v Speaker 4>in Colorado.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Jersey.
<v Speaker 2>I know in PMI coming up here in a few minutes.
<v Speaker 2>We'll talk about the old ABS coach too.
<v Speaker 6>You know.
<v Speaker 3>And his face a beautiful face.
<v Speaker 6>He's got such a beautiful face.
<v Speaker 2>Speaking of basketball, my son wrapped up his basketball season
<v Speaker 2>over the weekend. Oh is a little three on three season,
<v Speaker 2>And I think I think we're done.
<v Speaker 4>I think we're moving on from basketball now.
<v Speaker 3>Really, after years and years of.
<v Speaker 4>The B ball and the squeaky shoes, he's no longer
<v Speaker 4>a baller. I don't. I think it's time. I think
<v Speaker 4>he's kind of getting burnt out on it. I'm getting
<v Speaker 4>a little burn out.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, So I felt bad because he had his
<v Speaker 2>last two games and I was sitting there in the
<v Speaker 2>stands watching the Artemist splash down. That's kind of how
<v Speaker 2>much I was into it. Like I was streaming it.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, this is history.
<v Speaker 5>It's such a nerd But I get that, I get
<v Speaker 5>that that is right up your alley to do it.
<v Speaker 5>But you know, the thing is is, you know your
<v Speaker 5>son is right around the age where you really have
<v Speaker 5>to find out what you love and put that passion
<v Speaker 5>towards it. I mean, that's the thing is now he
<v Speaker 5>just needs to decide what it is that he's so
<v Speaker 5>passionate about. And you know, just practice makes perfect no
<v Speaker 5>matter what it.
<v Speaker 3>Is you decide to look at you, it really does.
<v Speaker 5>So if you're seeing that he's not feeling basketball the way,
<v Speaker 5>because I mean, it really likes you wake up, you practice,
<v Speaker 5>you get off school, you do laughs, and you practice
<v Speaker 5>and it is that kind of mentality. So if he
<v Speaker 5>doesn't want to do that for basketball, then find what
<v Speaker 5>he wants to do that for you.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I think it's time to move on.
<v Speaker 2>I think he's thinking about dipping his toe into like
<v Speaker 2>some track and some crust.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. But yeah, we we wrapped it up. He was
<v Speaker 3>playoffs too.
<v Speaker 5>Oh, I that's perfect.
<v Speaker 4>So for my son this weekend with his basketball to
<v Speaker 4>birthday weekend for my daughter.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think you're actually more more happy and excited
<v Speaker 2>about your birthday than she was about hers.
<v Speaker 4>But that's cue, that's adorable.
<v Speaker 5>What's wrong?
<v Speaker 6>What is it?
<v Speaker 3>No?
<v Speaker 4>No, it's fine, it's fine. I was just normal birthday, like.
<v Speaker 3>It's my month, it's my month.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and it was like an eight hour, nine hour birthday.
<v Speaker 2>Again, it's you know, all the family piles in around
<v Speaker 2>ten to eleven, and then they don't leave until it's
<v Speaker 2>dark out.
<v Speaker 4>The party's going a really long time at my house.
<v Speaker 2>The only reason that everyone kind of packed up and
<v Speaker 2>left was the power went out unexpectedly, like it's seven
<v Speaker 2>thirty or whatever.
<v Speaker 4>Oh went out, and everyone's like, well, I.
<v Speaker 2>Guess we're gonna take off now that it's dark and
<v Speaker 2>we're lighting candles.
<v Speaker 3>That's our cute.
<v Speaker 2>But it's funny, you know, you kind of realize that
<v Speaker 2>you got a lot of first world problems. We're very
<v Speaker 2>spoiled here in this country in time. Because the biggest
<v Speaker 2>irritation from the birthday party over the weekend was Nick
<v Speaker 2>Knack went and purchased a big sheet cake. Okay, it
<v Speaker 2>was the cheerleading theme and so there's uh the it's
<v Speaker 2>the edible image on top.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and it was wrinkly so your face.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, But it was like the person who was making
<v Speaker 2>the cake close their eyes and then laid the edible
<v Speaker 2>image on there and then just putting butt in the fringe.
<v Speaker 3>It was like, whoo.
<v Speaker 2>If you were a little mini surfer, you could have
<v Speaker 2>surfed on it waves. So there we were in the
<v Speaker 2>kitchen with it set out before everybody got there, and
<v Speaker 2>we're trying to pat it down. We had paper towel
<v Speaker 2>on it. We're trying to smooth it. And she's like,
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna complain. I'm calling the store. I'm gonna complain.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, Babe, once she slice into this thing,
<v Speaker 2>it's like two slices with a knife, nobody's gonna carry.
<v Speaker 3>This will be a memory.
<v Speaker 5>The picture of the cake, that's what's happening.
<v Speaker 3>That's what was important.
<v Speaker 2>I send it to me and I'll show you because
<v Speaker 2>it was it was gnarly looking. So then I was like,
<v Speaker 2>I got a great idea. I'm just gonna wet down
<v Speaker 2>my hand and try to smooth it. So the thing
<v Speaker 2>with those edible images, like when it hits your saliva
<v Speaker 2>or water, they dissolve. No they yeah, they smear and
<v Speaker 2>they dissolve. Oh no, So listen, if that ever happens
<v Speaker 2>to you, guys, don't use water on your hands.
<v Speaker 3>Because I took.
<v Speaker 4>Something that said cheer and went all the way across
<v Speaker 4>its happy birthday ruin first world problems right there at
<v Speaker 4>Jay Bear's house.
<v Speaker 2>We'll be back in about three and a half minutes
<v Speaker 2>with your PMI here it makes I think Katie's got
<v Speaker 2>the positive today.
<v Speaker 5>I do. And if you are an overthinker like me,
<v Speaker 5>you are gonna love this story. Because if you can't sleep, guys,
<v Speaker 5>you're not alone. Yeah, a lot of us can't sleep.
<v Speaker 5>In fact, about thirty percent of us experience trouble falling
<v Speaker 5>or staying asleep, and experts are saying it's because we
<v Speaker 5>worry so much. We're constantly what are you worried.
<v Speaker 3>About right now? Well, here's the thing.
<v Speaker 5>Is night I was laying in bed and right before
<v Speaker 5>I fell asleep, I'm like, oh my gosh, is my
<v Speaker 5>credit card bill do? And it just and immediately I
<v Speaker 5>grabbed my phone. I looked and made sure that I
<v Speaker 5>wasn't ready for a payment and it was gonna be
<v Speaker 5>late and hit me with the fee. But that kind
<v Speaker 5>of stuff happens to me all the time, and experts
<v Speaker 5>are saying it's because I don't schedule time to worry. Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>our brains are gonna worry no matter what. So whether
<v Speaker 5>it's we're right about ready to go to sleep and
<v Speaker 5>all of a sudden our brain hit some kind of
<v Speaker 5>responder where.
<v Speaker 3>It's like, no, you've got this.
<v Speaker 5>Wait a minute, there's this it's gonna do that if
<v Speaker 5>we don't do it for it. Now, they're saying, if
<v Speaker 5>you schedule time to worry throughout the day, you waking
<v Speaker 5>up in pure panic mode because you forget to do something,
<v Speaker 5>it's gonna happen less less often. So if it's just
<v Speaker 5>something that you build into your day, your brain is
<v Speaker 5>gonna get used to focusing on your worries at that
<v Speaker 5>specific time of day and it's not gonna alert you
<v Speaker 5>in the middle of a sleep.
<v Speaker 4>Not a bad idea.
<v Speaker 3>I love it.
<v Speaker 5>And also because your bed it should be just for sleeping.
<v Speaker 5>You shouldn't be worrying in there, you shouldn't be eating,
<v Speaker 5>you shouldn't be doing things that other than reading, And
<v Speaker 5>they're saying that's a good activity to do like that,
<v Speaker 5>your bed should be well I get okay, okay, I'm
<v Speaker 5>sorry it.
<v Speaker 1>Glazye tell me a lot about But when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to overthinking, you definitely should not do that in bed,
<v Speaker 1>and you should schedule time to do it and.
<v Speaker 4>It'll help you out. It's not a bad idea, it's
<v Speaker 4>probably legit.
<v Speaker 2>It sounds silly like, Okay, today, at one o'clock, I'm
<v Speaker 2>gonna sit on my couch and worry about everything.
<v Speaker 3>Nobody talk to me. I'm worrying for like the next hour.
<v Speaker 3>I'm going to worry.
<v Speaker 5>I think this is amazing because I do happen to
<v Speaker 5>worry like throughout the day. It'll just hit me, it
<v Speaker 5>really will, like without any notice. It'll hit me if
<v Speaker 5>I can schedule it. And I've been doing it the
<v Speaker 5>last couple of days.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, you know, with a list too.
<v Speaker 4>I would think that you write down your worries.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like Aspire notebook and it's there, it's written down,
<v Speaker 2>it's not on your mind. That's probably paired with that
<v Speaker 2>would be really beneficial you with.
<v Speaker 5>The pro tip, the pro tip on top of the
<v Speaker 5>positive linked.
<v Speaker 4>You you're rubbing off on me. Okay, who's got the minus?
<v Speaker 3>Josh?
<v Speaker 6>I got the minus today and it's talking AVS hockey,
<v Speaker 6>which is a bummer because normally it's a very positive
<v Speaker 6>thing with them. But Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar. Over
<v Speaker 6>the weekend, they were taking on the Vegas Golden Knights
<v Speaker 6>and an arrant puck from Keegan Colosar's stick went over
<v Speaker 6>the boards and actually drilled him in the face, so
<v Speaker 6>much so that it caused him to collapse in pain.
<v Speaker 6>He did not lose consciousness or anything, but he dropped
<v Speaker 6>to the ground holding his face and he was taken
<v Speaker 6>with the team doctor back to the locker room.
<v Speaker 3>He's actually gonna miss some times.
<v Speaker 6>It's kind of I'm it's not funny what happened, but
<v Speaker 6>it's funny hearing this that the head coach is out
<v Speaker 6>with injury. He broke an orbital bone in his face
<v Speaker 6>and also has an eye abrasion, a corneil abrasion, so
<v Speaker 6>it's messed up something with his cornea. So he's gonna
<v Speaker 6>miss the game in edmund and then Calgary. They're hoping
<v Speaker 6>to have him back for the final home game of
<v Speaker 6>the season when they take on the Seattle Crack and
<v Speaker 6>in a few days here. But that's a scary incident.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, watching your head coach collapse in pain. I've
<v Speaker 6>never seen that before actually.
<v Speaker 5>So I was watching that game it went into overtime,
<v Speaker 5>and it like, he is such a tough mama Jim.
<v Speaker 5>He grew up playing hockey too, Yeah to not like
<v Speaker 5>cry as a puck hits you in the face, like
<v Speaker 5>man coach Bednar. He is a tough one.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, he would lose better though. Recovery hopefully.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, all right, let's wrap things up with the interesting.
<v Speaker 2>I immediately thought of your daughter, baby Nana, when I
<v Speaker 2>saw this story this morning, Katie, because I know she
<v Speaker 2>wants a doggy really really bad, and she's been pushing
<v Speaker 2>you to get a dog.
<v Speaker 3>Ye, yes, she has.
<v Speaker 2>New study just came out that says, on average, we
<v Speaker 2>spend about four thousand and seventy two dollars a year
<v Speaker 2>for one pet. So just shy of forty three hundred
<v Speaker 2>dollars a year for a pet. Do a little beet
<v Speaker 2>poop pop poop math on that spread it out over
<v Speaker 2>twelve years, you're looking at a little bit more than
<v Speaker 2>fifty thousand dollars over twelve years for one dog or cat.
<v Speaker 2>And that's before anything goes wrong like my dog who
<v Speaker 2>ate the grape? Yeah, and we had thousands of dollars
<v Speaker 2>worth of medical bills.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, that's just the bare minimum, bare minimum.
<v Speaker 3>Baby.
<v Speaker 2>They say it doesn't help that vet costs have jumped
<v Speaker 2>about forty three percent in the last five years, and
<v Speaker 2>there's a big chunk of pet owners who are actually
<v Speaker 2>in big time debt right.
<v Speaker 4>Now because of their little fur babies.
<v Speaker 2>They say, gen Z, though, is considering a petless lifestyle.
<v Speaker 2>A lot of them are like, I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>get a set. I don't want the cost. Smart That's
<v Speaker 2>one thing that gen Z that I'm on board with
<v Speaker 2>with you guys.
<v Speaker 3>So they're not going to have babies or pets.
<v Speaker 2>No babies or pets, just a lot of money and
<v Speaker 2>a lot of free time.
<v Speaker 4>Oh damn them. I know you guys.
<v Speaker 3>Shun a second.
<v Speaker 6>You can do.
<v Speaker 3>Nothing, gen Z. You guys suck. There you go.
<v Speaker 2>There should p mi I This Morning Positive minus Interesting
