<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katie and Josh makes one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I do also want to welcome everybody to Earth Day.
<v Speaker 3>Happy Earth Day, everybody Earth.
<v Speaker 4>What do you do?
<v Speaker 1>Uh? Say? Thank you?
<v Speaker 4>Don't throw your straws in the ocean, don't use a straw.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that's not kidding, that's.
<v Speaker 4>Not gonna happen.
<v Speaker 5>In all.
<v Speaker 2>They say, if you want to help combat loneliness, you
<v Speaker 2>got to live near a lake. They found that people
<v Speaker 2>who spent the most time around a lake reported less
<v Speaker 2>loneliness than the people who were weren't connected with nature.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what it is about a lake.
<v Speaker 4>It's water, is that what it is.
<v Speaker 3>It immediately makes you feel better. There's so many scientific
<v Speaker 3>studies that prove it. Especially running water. Just the sound
<v Speaker 3>of it can lower your blood pressure, your stress levels,
<v Speaker 3>like all of it. It's immediately good for you. About this, No,
<v Speaker 3>that's annoying.
<v Speaker 1>I can already tell I didn't even have to hear it.
<v Speaker 1>My blood pressure.
<v Speaker 3>Exactly all of a sudden, it's not so great anymore. No,
<v Speaker 3>but water is really really good for your whole soul.
<v Speaker 1>So that make you.
<v Speaker 6>Feel I gotta say, even just going around Evergreen the
<v Speaker 6>other day, I felt really good. You just feel like
<v Speaker 6>a much deeper connection, I would say, to nature, and
<v Speaker 6>you feel good about yourself. I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I liked it all right. I live near a lake.
<v Speaker 2>It's at the end of my street, actually, so I
<v Speaker 2>go walk around it a lot. It mostly just smells funny.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't feel that connected anyway. For Earth Day,
<v Speaker 2>you're supposed to volunteer and help clean up.
<v Speaker 4>You're supposed to plant and garden.
<v Speaker 2>Reduce, reuse, recycle, right, go out connect with nature. So
<v Speaker 2>maybe go lay on a rock and sun your nether regions.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, and then advocate and learn. You're supposed
<v Speaker 2>to watch documentaries, attend workshops on climate change, and write
<v Speaker 2>your local representative about environmental policies.
<v Speaker 4>That's a lot, you know, I say to that last.
<v Speaker 3>One, Yeah, I don't know how much writing our local
<v Speaker 3>representatives is going to do anything.
<v Speaker 6>They don't do a lot of reading, I know.
<v Speaker 2>Going back to step though, have you seen the videos
<v Speaker 2>of that one guy who has been popping on the
<v Speaker 2>Instagram's right now where he goes outside and he is
<v Speaker 2>completely naked and he lays on his back on a
<v Speaker 2>rock and just spreads him spreads his booty cheeks and
<v Speaker 2>you're supposed to have the sun.
<v Speaker 4>I don't want to say penetrate sunny sun, the sun
<v Speaker 4>your reach. Do you not do this? You know?
<v Speaker 2>Well, I know it's not a new thing, but for
<v Speaker 2>some reason, this guy is on my feed constantly, so
<v Speaker 2>maybe I watched it for just a little too long.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, I have I've never done this. Have you
<v Speaker 2>guys done it?
<v Speaker 1>I just know that it exists.
<v Speaker 4>I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I live in an apartment. That's not really for me.
<v Speaker 4>You're always in the mountains hiking and stuff. Do it?
<v Speaker 7>There are people there with me. That's like the last
<v Speaker 7>It's one thing.
<v Speaker 3>The pe next to a tree, it's another thing to
<v Speaker 3>completely just put it up there in the.
<v Speaker 1>Sun to hit it.
<v Speaker 4>You gotta go and you're not gonna get.
<v Speaker 7>Any sun, like you need to be where the sun
<v Speaker 7>can reach you.
<v Speaker 6>Like.
<v Speaker 7>So, yeah, you said you didn't do it either, So
<v Speaker 7>today literally just.
<v Speaker 4>Said you don't. I haven't done it yet. I guess
<v Speaker 4>I should have edited it yet. It's gonna be a
<v Speaker 4>hot one today and sunny. You should do it.
<v Speaker 6>You should do it, go to your backyard and would
<v Speaker 6>be so full of energy tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, y are shoot and raised.
<v Speaker 4>You happiirthday everybody. So what's going on with this hot
<v Speaker 4>pot story? Oh?
<v Speaker 3>Well, my baby Nona, my daughter and I we love
<v Speaker 3>to go out to hot pot.
<v Speaker 1>It's our new favorite thing.
<v Speaker 3>And I like the ones that you can go up
<v Speaker 3>and get all your condiments and sides by yourself.
<v Speaker 1>So a lot of.
<v Speaker 3>Times they will bring you the extras, whether it's like
<v Speaker 3>the little mushrooms, and you know, I guess the best
<v Speaker 3>way for me to describe hot pot is like a
<v Speaker 3>fond dou but with like Asian food, right, So you
<v Speaker 3>have a lot of like the kimchi, the rice, the
<v Speaker 3>seaweed salad, the mushrooms, the quail eggs, all those sides,
<v Speaker 3>and then you have the proteins on top of it,
<v Speaker 3>the meats that they bring out, the seafood, the shrimp
<v Speaker 3>and everything.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 3>So Zoe and are sitting there, we're just talking about it.
<v Speaker 3>We're talking about what all of our favorite things are
<v Speaker 3>when it comes to the sides. And I just love
<v Speaker 3>the mushrooms and I'm a sucker for a good quail egg,
<v Speaker 3>like they're just so rich and ath are so good.
<v Speaker 3>But Zoe, we were on the phone talking and she's like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, Mom, My favorite would have to.
<v Speaker 7>Be the intimidation Crab and I was like, oh, the one,
<v Speaker 7>Oh god, the one. Now she said it so matter
<v Speaker 7>of fact.
<v Speaker 4>She said it twice.
<v Speaker 3>She said the intimidation crab, and I was like, the
<v Speaker 3>scared of the mean, ask.
<v Speaker 7>Crab, like what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 3>And it literally took me a second before I figured
<v Speaker 3>out she was trying to say imitation crab. And it
<v Speaker 3>was just one of those funny moments where I had
<v Speaker 3>to tell her say it again and listen to what
<v Speaker 3>you're saying.
<v Speaker 7>She's like, what intimidation crab?
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, listen to what you're saying. You
<v Speaker 1>can eat me, tell you to.
<v Speaker 3>Eat me, Oh god, and then snapping at her step snap,
<v Speaker 3>step away, get you out the way.
<v Speaker 1>I'm right now, I know exactly.
<v Speaker 3>Can you just imagine like a crab with boxings like.
<v Speaker 1>Wear enough to the nana? You know, it's so cute.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not surprised though, so huge the way she said
<v Speaker 3>it was.
<v Speaker 4>Banker does. But don't let this money intimidate you like.
<v Speaker 1>You use the words right all the time.
<v Speaker 7>It happens to all of us.
<v Speaker 1>Definitely made my whole day.
<v Speaker 4>I don't watch her podcast about this time on Wednesdays,
<v Speaker 4>we give you three stories to start your day.
<v Speaker 2>It's a positive, a minus, and something a little bit interesting.
<v Speaker 1>Baby you have the pe I do have the pee.
<v Speaker 3>And this is taking place at the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington.
<v Speaker 3>So a little baby yellow was born there in February
<v Speaker 3>and it's like the first baby elephant that's been born
<v Speaker 3>here in quite some time.
<v Speaker 7>So they were very very excited about it.
<v Speaker 3>But the baby's mom didn't respond the way they wanted.
<v Speaker 3>So she's not feeling the little elephant baby Nana, that's mine.
<v Speaker 7>She's not like bonding with it.
<v Speaker 3>Zoo keepers are having to intervene in this situation, but
<v Speaker 3>the herd is coming around, so that's how this is
<v Speaker 3>becoming positive. So when mom gets aggressive towards the baby,
<v Speaker 3>the head lady elephant they've noticed her trying to put
<v Speaker 3>mama back in her place.
<v Speaker 1>She's like, that's not what we do.
<v Speaker 3>You don't do that to your baby, right, So they're
<v Speaker 3>noticing that the head lady elephant is trying to get
<v Speaker 3>things in order, and then exactly another one of the
<v Speaker 3>lady elephants has taken the little baby under her trunk,
<v Speaker 3>if you will. She's trying to raise her as one
<v Speaker 3>of her owns, and that it's helping the other elephants
<v Speaker 3>be like, Okay, they're recognizing little.
<v Speaker 1>Baby as a member of the little.
<v Speaker 4>Baby or something. Well, does he have oversized ears? And
<v Speaker 4>can you fly?
<v Speaker 6>No?
<v Speaker 1>No, no, it's not Dumbo.
<v Speaker 3>But what they are saying is that little mama she's
<v Speaker 3>never had a baby before. This is all new for
<v Speaker 3>her too, and animals react strangely sometimes, So they're just
<v Speaker 3>saying they're trying to keep the peace with everybody because
<v Speaker 3>mom could come around eventually, maybe after they need her
<v Speaker 3>to really take care of the elephant, but they still
<v Speaker 3>need her to recognize this little baby elephant as a
<v Speaker 3>member of the herd. And it looks like that's what's
<v Speaker 3>happening again, the fact that these other two elephants are,
<v Speaker 3>you know, noticing the little baby and then all the
<v Speaker 3>other ones are coming along making friends and stuff.
<v Speaker 4>It looks good. It's like the monkey, that's exactly it.
<v Speaker 3>It's kind of what it made me think of, is
<v Speaker 3>the new Internet sensation punched the little elephant. But yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it looks like they're going to introduce her to the
<v Speaker 3>public and whatnot in the next few months. But it's
<v Speaker 3>taken a little longer than expected because again of this
<v Speaker 3>little exactly. But no again, elephants are weird, so hopefully
<v Speaker 3>they'll all come around. But right now it is a
<v Speaker 3>positive because I tell you what, that little baby elephan
<v Speaker 3>is so stinking cute, oh so.
<v Speaker 1>Very cute with that little trunk. Oh my goodness.
<v Speaker 3>So here you go of a nice positive story out
<v Speaker 3>of Washington.
<v Speaker 6>Yay, all right, Well, I don't want to bring you
<v Speaker 6>down too much, but I have a lesson in how
<v Speaker 6>to not deter thieves from breaking into your car. So
<v Speaker 6>in New Orleans, man uh tried something a little I
<v Speaker 6>don't know, thinking outside the box on how to deter
<v Speaker 6>people from stealing his car. He put a mannequin in
<v Speaker 6>the passenger seat and then a Michael Myers mask over
<v Speaker 6>that mannequin. He said for years he would do that
<v Speaker 6>just to make sure that if people ever broke into
<v Speaker 6>his window, they'd kind of maybe be taken aback and
<v Speaker 6>go whoa and go move on to the next car. Well,
<v Speaker 6>a group of thieves went down the neighborhood and actually
<v Speaker 6>broke into several cars in his neighborhood. And when they
<v Speaker 6>got to his car, they see the Michael myers mask
<v Speaker 6>in the car and the mannequin. They jump back just
<v Speaker 6>like you thought they would, but instead they shoot the
<v Speaker 6>car twenty times. They open fire on this car and
<v Speaker 6>just light it up. I mean seriously light it up.
<v Speaker 6>And this story actually gets more interesting. One of the
<v Speaker 6>bullets apparently bounced off of the top of the truck
<v Speaker 6>and went into their bedroom and missed them by like feet.
<v Speaker 6>So he was he wanted to say anonymous, obviously, but
<v Speaker 6>he said, hey, I don't think I'll be doing that
<v Speaker 6>again to the tur thieves. I'm just gonna lock my
<v Speaker 6>doors and have my car alarm go off. These thieves
<v Speaker 6>have not been caught yet. They didn't steal anything, but
<v Speaker 6>they shot up his truck. His truck is totaled. It
<v Speaker 6>has twenty to thirty bullet holes in it now, so
<v Speaker 6>they have to get.
<v Speaker 1>Alert authorities in this case.
<v Speaker 6>Well they were alerted. They just haven't been found yet.
<v Speaker 6>They haven't been caught yet. Yeah, that's a crazy thing.
<v Speaker 4>Cheese. Yeah it's the Toyota Swiss cheese truck.
<v Speaker 5>Now.
<v Speaker 4>Well this is a minus. It is a minus. I
<v Speaker 4>love a good gang violent story to start the day.
<v Speaker 4>Well it wasn't just a gang violence.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what it was. Geeze.
<v Speaker 6>All right, don't use Michael Myers as a way to
<v Speaker 6>de tur thieves.
<v Speaker 2>All right, this is kind of fun for all the
<v Speaker 2>kiddos going to prom here in a few weeks. One
<v Speaker 2>of these six Oscar Meyer Wiener mobiles was in Topeka,
<v Speaker 2>Kansas this past weekend.
<v Speaker 4>For a NASCAR Our pre race celebration.
<v Speaker 3>E w.
<v Speaker 4>Now, some students were there from the local.
<v Speaker 2>Unfortunately named Seamen High School. They spotted the Wiener mobile
<v Speaker 2>and they decided to stop for photos, and then that's
<v Speaker 2>when things got kind of interesting. Their prom was coming
<v Speaker 2>up the next day, so one of them got the
<v Speaker 2>idea if they could ask the lady manning the Wiener
<v Speaker 2>if they could.
<v Speaker 1>Take the Wiener mobile to prom and make a.
<v Speaker 2>Big old entrance. And they were expecting a no. But
<v Speaker 2>the driver, Maggie Dawson, who's a what do they call
<v Speaker 2>him a hot dogger, she's a brand ambassador. She checked
<v Speaker 2>her schedule and said, yeah, I'll totally give you guys
<v Speaker 2>a ride. I've got some audio here from the students
<v Speaker 2>and the Wiener lady here you go.
<v Speaker 4>One of my buddies was like, can we rent this thing?
<v Speaker 1>And I was like bro, what if we just ask
<v Speaker 1>about prom?
<v Speaker 4>What if they take us it's tomorrow? Like that'd be insane.
<v Speaker 5>It was a little light bulb and we were like, well,
<v Speaker 5>what time is prom? And from there we checked our
<v Speaker 5>schedule and we were able to make it happen. Hearing
<v Speaker 5>about prom, I mean, I have such special memories like
<v Speaker 5>with my high school experience with my prom, and knowing
<v Speaker 5>that we could add the weedy magic of the Big
<v Speaker 5>Dog to it, we figured it had to be done.
<v Speaker 6>Oh man, excuse me, the what not a prom.
<v Speaker 4>That's part of the pro night Right?
<v Speaker 1>I guess you do.
<v Speaker 4>Anyway, Megan, it was very special.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, she said, imagine the kind of happiness that this
<v Speaker 2>is going to bring, and it really will.
<v Speaker 4>I think.
<v Speaker 6>Honestly good for them because there's only six full size
<v Speaker 6>wien ormobiles, so for them to kind of happen upon
<v Speaker 6>you guys.
<v Speaker 4>They came by the radio station.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, they gave me two whistles.
<v Speaker 2>There you go, guys, there's your p M I this
<v Speaker 2>morning with JKJ Here.
<v Speaker 4>It makes
