<v Speaker 1>You know, I was reading earlier on one of the
<v Speaker 1>websites they had a WWE must have been a press
<v Speaker 1>release coming out of WrestleMania talking about some other record
<v Speaker 1>that they had set and I don't know, some sort
<v Speaker 1>of business announcement about how well they did and all
<v Speaker 1>the money they generated for WrestleMania this year. And it's
<v Speaker 1>always jarring to read something like that, and then immediately
<v Speaker 1>after that you have a day like today, which happens
<v Speaker 1>almost every year. There's always this Black Friday period in WWE,
<v Speaker 1>this dark cloud that hangs over and you just wait
<v Speaker 1>for the announcements of who they have cut, who has
<v Speaker 1>WWE released from their contract, and sometimes it's just this
<v Speaker 1>mass wave of releases. Sometimes it's only a handful of names.
<v Speaker 1>Many times though, they will just release people in mass,
<v Speaker 1>and you understand that, you know, no job is guaranteed,
<v Speaker 1>and they really are the ones with all the power.
<v Speaker 1>You know, you sign these contras for X number of years,
<v Speaker 1>And I always think back to the Good Brothers many
<v Speaker 1>years ago, and they had re signed with WWE, these
<v Speaker 1>big money contracts, five year deals, and then just a
<v Speaker 1>matter of months later the company cut them because at
<v Speaker 1>the end of the day you know when you signed
<v Speaker 1>these contracts, Really what you're doing is you're making a guarantee.
<v Speaker 1>You're making a promise to the company that, Okay, I
<v Speaker 1>will be under contract to you for X amount of
<v Speaker 1>time and I can't go anywhere. But of course, when
<v Speaker 1>the shoes on the other foot, the company can let
<v Speaker 1>you go at any moment. It doesn't matter if you
<v Speaker 1>have a five year contract a ten year contract, unless
<v Speaker 1>you have a no cut contract, which I'm willing to
<v Speaker 1>bet most talent in WWE do not have, but maybe
<v Speaker 1>the very tippy top talents. The reality is that your
<v Speaker 1>job is never safe, and especially if you are someone
<v Speaker 1>who is very low on the totem pole in WWE.
<v Speaker 1>And I made the comment a few weeks not even
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago. Last week, two weeks ago, somebody
<v Speaker 1>had sent in a question and they had asked me,
<v Speaker 1>who do I think who do I think is going
<v Speaker 1>to get you know, released from WWE, you know, with
<v Speaker 1>the post WrestleMania cuts. Yeah, And I said, I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to name any names because that's just kind of gross.
<v Speaker 1>But also I would just say that if you are
<v Speaker 1>someone who is not currently being utilized by the company,
<v Speaker 1>if you're sitting in the back, if you're flying out
<v Speaker 1>to whatever city that Raw or SmackDown is and you're
<v Speaker 1>not actively being used, and you're sitting backstage or in catering.
<v Speaker 1>You want it, you know you're hoping to be on
<v Speaker 1>the show. You're never on the show. To me, those
<v Speaker 1>are the people that should always be worried. Those are
<v Speaker 1>the people that are always on the bubble because you're expendable,
<v Speaker 1>you're not actively on the show. You're not being allowed
<v Speaker 1>to contribute in any meaningful way. So, of course, low
<v Speaker 1>hanging fruit. If people have to get cut, I would
<v Speaker 1>be worried if I was someone like that, although occasionally
<v Speaker 1>you will also find talents that are on television who
<v Speaker 1>get cut anyway. And so as I'm looking at the
<v Speaker 1>list of names as that we now have, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to get into here momentarily, there are names on
<v Speaker 1>this list that lost their jobs today in WWE and
<v Speaker 1>NXT that don't shock me. It's all sad, it's all shitty,
<v Speaker 1>no matter who you are, no matter who you like
<v Speaker 1>or don't like, no matter who you think should or
<v Speaker 1>should not be on TV, it's always a shitty situation
<v Speaker 1>when somebody loses their job and I would not advocate
<v Speaker 1>for that, and anybody who advocate for that as an asshole.
<v Speaker 1>So let me just say that first and foremost. But
<v Speaker 1>there are times where I will look at these lists
<v Speaker 1>and I will see certain names on there, and I
<v Speaker 1>just scratch my head. I am baffled by some of
<v Speaker 1>the names that will pop up on these lists, and
<v Speaker 1>all the times I've said, well, if you're not really
<v Speaker 1>being utilized, I would be worried. There are names on
<v Speaker 1>this list that were being used and still lost their
<v Speaker 1>job today in WWE, and it has me sitting here wondering,
<v Speaker 1>what the hell is going on here? How are these
<v Speaker 1>decisions being made? To my count, two dozen names have
<v Speaker 1>gotten their release or have left have departed WWE as
<v Speaker 1>of today, two dozen and yet deaf Rebel remains employed.
<v Speaker 1>Think about that. But it was fightful bodyslam Dot that
<v Speaker 1>really all the main sights now are reporting on it,
<v Speaker 1>but they were the ones that first started breaking the
<v Speaker 1>news about talent releases in WWE. And this is what
<v Speaker 1>we know so far. Now. This can and unfortunately probably
<v Speaker 1>will evolve, because there's no indication that this is it,
<v Speaker 1>that there won't be any more releases. I hope not
<v Speaker 1>but it is still possible there could be more. These
<v Speaker 1>are the people that are on the list, and I
<v Speaker 1>will say we don't know for sure of all of
<v Speaker 1>these names were necessarily released by WWE. It could be
<v Speaker 1>a case where certain contracts were all to expire. I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to guess based upon how many names are on
<v Speaker 1>this list and the fact they all happened at the
<v Speaker 1>same time, most if not all, of these are probably
<v Speaker 1>releases from the company. But two names on that list
<v Speaker 1>are Alistair Black and Zelina Vega, two names that were
<v Speaker 1>part of the SmackDown roster. They were not on SmackDown Tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and the reason they were not on SmackDown Tonight is
<v Speaker 1>because they are no longer working for WWE. This is
<v Speaker 1>the same Alistair Black who has pinfall wins in the
<v Speaker 1>last couple of months on television over Randy Orton, who
<v Speaker 1>just main evented WrestleMania, by the Way, and Sammy's Ain
<v Speaker 1>who went into WrestleMania as the United States Champion. The
<v Speaker 1>same Alistair Black, who, if the latest reports are to
<v Speaker 1>be believed, the original idea was for him to be
<v Speaker 1>the one on the phone with Randy Orton or the
<v Speaker 1>voice in the head of Randy uh and there was
<v Speaker 1>going to be a story that would have played out
<v Speaker 1>of WrestleMania involving Alistair Black and Randy Orton, potentially even
<v Speaker 1>a match at WrestleMania between the two of them. That
<v Speaker 1>Alistair Black the one that they only first brought back
<v Speaker 1>to the company one year ago, and also his wife,
<v Speaker 1>Zelena Vega gone from the company. The reason I say
<v Speaker 1>that most of these are probably releases, but we can't
<v Speaker 1>say for sure that all of them are. I'm wondering,
<v Speaker 1>and again, maybe not, maybe this is not the way
<v Speaker 1>that it worked out. But I'm looking at this and
<v Speaker 1>I'm wondering if maybe Zelena Vega got the call to
<v Speaker 1>be released. And who's to say that Alistair Black was, Like,
<v Speaker 1>if she's gone, I'm gone, right, We just don't know,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't I hesitate to say that he was released.
<v Speaker 1>We we just we don't know. We know that she
<v Speaker 1>was because she's already commented on this. Zelena Vega not
<v Speaker 1>very happy about the fact that Sean ross Sap of
<v Speaker 1>Fight for was the first one to make public her
<v Speaker 1>name as one of the releases. She claimed on her
<v Speaker 1>Twitch stream that she got a phone call not from
<v Speaker 1>Paula VEC or anybody specifically WWE. But she actually got
<v Speaker 1>a phone call from TKO. Normally, when she gets these
<v Speaker 1>calls in the past, it'll come from Stanford, It'll come
<v Speaker 1>from a WWE number. Evidently, in this case, she claims
<v Speaker 1>that she got a call from TKO. Whatever that means.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. If it said TKO on her caller ID,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. But she says she got the call
<v Speaker 1>directly from TKO. So there's gonna be a whole conversation
<v Speaker 1>around who's responsible for this, who's calling the shots when
<v Speaker 1>it comes to this list of talents that have been released.
<v Speaker 1>Is this a paula Vec thing? Is this a Nick
<v Speaker 1>con thing? Is this a TKO thing? Oh, she got
<v Speaker 1>a phone call from TKO. This is now the narrative online.
<v Speaker 1>Can't blame Triple H and WWE. This is coming from TKO.
<v Speaker 1>Let me explain something to you. I'm not in the
<v Speaker 1>You are not in the room. None of us are
<v Speaker 1>in the room when these names are chosen and when
<v Speaker 1>these decisions are made. So I cannot sit here and
<v Speaker 1>tell you with one hundred percent certainty this is the case.
<v Speaker 1>But I will tell you with ninety nine percent certainty.
<v Speaker 1>People like Ari Emmanuel and Mark Shapiro are not sitting
<v Speaker 1>around in a room with a list of all the
<v Speaker 1>WWE talents in front of them, going, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>Alistair Black and Zelina Vega and this person and that person, Well,
<v Speaker 1>let's cut this part. I will keep this guy, but
<v Speaker 1>we'll let this woman go. That's not how this works.
<v Speaker 1>That's not how this works. So the idea that TKO
<v Speaker 1>is making the decision on who to release is preposterous
<v Speaker 1>to me. Now, the decision that, okay, certain cuts need
<v Speaker 1>to be made for budgetary reasons, Right, you have a number.
<v Speaker 1>You can't go past this number, So you gotta that.
<v Speaker 1>I can believe that's exactly what's going on here. That
<v Speaker 1>I can believe. But as far as who is making
<v Speaker 1>the decision on who goes and who stays, you cannot
<v Speaker 1>say that Paul Avec and people like that have no
<v Speaker 1>responsibility in this because it is impossible for me to
<v Speaker 1>conceive that these decisions are being made one hundred percent
<v Speaker 1>independent of him. He the chief content officer who is
<v Speaker 1>responsible for trying to figure out week to week, which
<v Speaker 1>talents are going to be utilized on television, Which talents
<v Speaker 1>are we going to have in this storyline or that storyline.
<v Speaker 1>And if you believe that they're mapping stories out weeks
<v Speaker 1>or months in advance, which I'm not so sure that's
<v Speaker 1>the case watching these fucking shows, it is impossible to
<v Speaker 1>conceive that they have absolutely no involvement in this process whatsoever.
<v Speaker 1>He is still in a position to be picking the
<v Speaker 1>names of the people who are going to be cut,
<v Speaker 1>even if he's not the one making the phone call.
<v Speaker 1>At the end of the day. So I'm sure more
<v Speaker 1>information will come out about the who, what, where, when
<v Speaker 1>and why and the days to come. But I already
<v Speaker 1>see this narrative for me that because Elena Vega made
<v Speaker 1>a comment about TKO owners twitch stream, this is all TKO,
<v Speaker 1>and it's not this person's fault. It's not that person's fault.
<v Speaker 1>It's a collaboration. And there is nobody sitting in the
<v Speaker 1>offices of TKO making these specific decisions on which talents
<v Speaker 1>are being cut. That is ridiculous. Me, stop yourself for
<v Speaker 1>a second and think about that. Use your fucking brain. Okay.
<v Speaker 1>But she says she got the call at five oh
<v Speaker 1>nine pm this afternoon that she was being released, and
<v Speaker 1>she was very upset that Sean Ross sap beat her
<v Speaker 1>to the punch before she had the opportunity to go
<v Speaker 1>out and make the announcement herself. Now this was five
<v Speaker 1>oh nine pm, she claimed. I think Sean got the
<v Speaker 1>announcement up. It was eight o'clock or after eight o'clock.
<v Speaker 1>All I'll say is this, I don't know if she
<v Speaker 1>has some personal beef with him. I think I saw
<v Speaker 1>him make a comment that she she already didn't like him,
<v Speaker 1>So maybe she already doesn't like the guy. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>He's in a position in this case where he is
<v Speaker 1>reporting information on people that have been released by the company.
<v Speaker 1>It is not his job to wait and sit on
<v Speaker 1>information that he may have in the event that every
<v Speaker 1>single one of these twenty four talents so far that
<v Speaker 1>got released may want to go ahead and make an
<v Speaker 1>announcement on their own, put a video out, put a
<v Speaker 1>tweet out. It's not how this works. But she's also,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure very upset, which is understandable, very emotional about it.
<v Speaker 1>But again I already see the piling on and oh,
<v Speaker 1>you know, how could he do something like that? He
<v Speaker 1>didn't do in this case. He didn't do anything that
<v Speaker 1>you wouldn't expect someone in his position to do. And
<v Speaker 1>that's what I'll say about that for now. Now. Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black and Zelina Vega they were doing stuff on television,
<v Speaker 1>they were involved in like the Randy Yorton stuff, and
<v Speaker 1>they were in the background of certain backstage segments. And look,
<v Speaker 1>a lot of the time that doesn't lead to anything.
<v Speaker 1>It's something it gets people's jolly's going, oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>look he's in the background. What does it mean? It
<v Speaker 1>doesn't mean anything. Okay, nine times out of ten when
<v Speaker 1>Triple H does that, it means nothing. Maxine Dupree has
<v Speaker 1>been seen in the background on Raw in recent weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I think with the Vision, does that mean that she's
<v Speaker 1>going to join the Vision? She hasn't even been on television,
<v Speaker 1>so I wouldn't get too excited about that sort of stuff.
<v Speaker 1>But nonetheless, there they were in the background, here in
<v Speaker 1>the background. There in the background. There, Sammy's ain they
<v Speaker 1>would show up and talk to Sammy's Ain and Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 1>They would show up and talk about Randy Orton. And
<v Speaker 1>I just find it hard to believe again, if this
<v Speaker 1>was their decision to let him go, that you couldn't
<v Speaker 1>find something for this man to do on this show.
<v Speaker 1>When you absolutely could have. I mean, you could say
<v Speaker 1>that about different people on this list. He was one
<v Speaker 1>of the more surprising names, not the most surprising, the
<v Speaker 1>most surprising name on this list, and the one that
<v Speaker 1>when I saw it, I thought that it was someone
<v Speaker 1>who was trolling. I said, surely this can't be true true,
<v Speaker 1>But it is is Kyrie Saane. Now, I'm not gonna
<v Speaker 1>sit here and tell you that, you know, Kyrie Sayne
<v Speaker 1>is someone who was being you know, prepped to challenge
<v Speaker 1>for the World Championship and the women's division or anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. No, but she has been involved in a
<v Speaker 1>very specific story now for months on Monday Night Brow
<v Speaker 1>and the pairing with Oscar the Kabuki Warriors, but the
<v Speaker 1>story that they have been telling where she has just
<v Speaker 1>been verbally and psychologically abused and manipulated by this woman
<v Speaker 1>and they want you to feel sympathy for Kyrie. Every
<v Speaker 1>time that you know, you hear Oscar shout Kyrie's name
<v Speaker 1>and she would slink away looking all terrified. And of late,
<v Speaker 1>eo Sky has been roped into this story because Eosky
<v Speaker 1>is trying to convince Kyrie you don't need to be
<v Speaker 1>associating with her anymore. You don't need her. She treats
<v Speaker 1>you like dog shit. And it all seemed to be
<v Speaker 1>building to this big moment at WrestleMania. We might get
<v Speaker 1>a match at WrestleMania between Eosky and Osco. It's almost
<v Speaker 1>like custody of Kyrie, right, But she was the central
<v Speaker 1>I mean, she was the crown jewel. She was the
<v Speaker 1>focal point of this story. And then we got no
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania match, which now makes me wonder if how early
<v Speaker 1>did they know they were going to be cutting this woman,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe that had something to do with why we
<v Speaker 1>ended up not getting that match of WrestleMania. I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be surprised, but it seemed like that was the direction
<v Speaker 1>that we were heading in. And even if they were
<v Speaker 1>to do the match of Backlash, we could get EO
<v Speaker 1>and Oscar. That's great. Well, the story that you have
<v Speaker 1>been preparing people for, the story that you have been
<v Speaker 1>telling people is out the fucking window now. So I
<v Speaker 1>would love to know what is the logic behind a
<v Speaker 1>decision like this. Do you mean to tell me that
<v Speaker 1>Kyrie Sam was making so much money that she had
<v Speaker 1>to be cut, that she had one of the more
<v Speaker 1>expensive contracts on the books and had to be unloaded.
<v Speaker 1>She was in the middle of an important story on
<v Speaker 1>that show, and we never got the payoff to it.
<v Speaker 1>This is a company that loves to talk about storytelling
<v Speaker 1>and loves to talk about your characters and building stories,
<v Speaker 1>and this has been playing out for so long and
<v Speaker 1>now we will never get the payoff to it. The
<v Speaker 1>payoff was Kyrie comes to her senses and stands up
<v Speaker 1>to Osca, and instead Kyrie saying, got fired today and
<v Speaker 1>she's gone, and Oscar now is all by herself. And
<v Speaker 1>whatever they do now on Monday night row with Osca
<v Speaker 1>and EO and look, I hope they have a great
<v Speaker 1>match if they ever actually put these two women in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. But whatever story they tell now, the story
<v Speaker 1>is dead dead. So they expect you to sort of
<v Speaker 1>invest in these characters and invest in these stories that
<v Speaker 1>they're telling. And sometimes the stories are good, sometimes the
<v Speaker 1>stories are shit. But then something like this happens and
<v Speaker 1>they kind of like they throw a monkey wrench into
<v Speaker 1>the entire thing, and you just see her going, why
<v Speaker 1>have I bothered? Why invest your time in any of
<v Speaker 1>this stuff? If this is the sort of thing that's
<v Speaker 1>going to happen, Like I am completely puzzled by that cut.
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand it. Again, I'm not going to sit
<v Speaker 1>here and try to convince you that she was the
<v Speaker 1>most important person on that show. She wasn't, but she
<v Speaker 1>was an important part of the show. I don't understand that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand the logic that goes into something like that,
<v Speaker 1>because there are gonna be names on this list here
<v Speaker 1>that I read to you, and you're not even gonna
<v Speaker 1>know who some of these people are. Some of them
<v Speaker 1>are nxtenams. Some of them may be talents that, oh
<v Speaker 1>they were trying with and they just came to the
<v Speaker 1>realization that this person just isn't advancing quick enough. Look,
<v Speaker 1>that's understandable. Not everybody who is brought into the Performance
<v Speaker 1>Center debuts in NXT is gonna make it. But in
<v Speaker 1>a situation like this, I have absolutely no idea what
<v Speaker 1>is going through their fucking brains when they let some
<v Speaker 1>of these people go, How the fuck do you get
<v Speaker 1>rid of Kyrie Saine in the middle of this? You know,
<v Speaker 1>Julia lost her United States Championship tonight on SmackDown. I'd
<v Speaker 1>be very worried right now if I were her. That's
<v Speaker 1>the one that's all I was thinking of when she
<v Speaker 1>lost to Tiffany Stratton tonight. Why does she lose that
<v Speaker 1>championship tonight. Not only that, but they were clearly teasing
<v Speaker 1>a split or at least some tensions between her and
<v Speaker 1>Keana James. So clearly there's a split on the way,
<v Speaker 1>or maybe there won't be. That's assuming Julie is even around.
<v Speaker 1>I hate to even think like that, but you can't
<v Speaker 1>tell me that you weren't thinking the same thing when
<v Speaker 1>that match was over. That's why I don't think these
<v Speaker 1>cuts are necessarily done. Yet the entire Wyatt six faction
<v Speaker 1>is gone from SmackDown, So not one member, not two members,
<v Speaker 1>every single member of the Wyatt six is gone. Bo
<v Speaker 1>Dallas or Uncle Howdie, whatever you want to call him,
<v Speaker 1>he's gone. Eric Rowan is gone, Dexter Loomis is gone,
<v Speaker 1>Joe Gasey is gone, Nicky Cross is gone. And so
<v Speaker 1>now it makes a lot of sense why they just
<v Speaker 1>lost in the way that they did a very anti
<v Speaker 1>climactic way to the MFTs on SmackDown last week. We
<v Speaker 1>had to sit here for the last six months it
<v Speaker 1>felt like six years, and watched the MFTs and the
<v Speaker 1>Wyatt six feud mostly over a fucking lantern. Now, I
<v Speaker 1>know you could talk about all this, it's the significance
<v Speaker 1>of the lantern. The lantern. It was Brave's lantern. It's
<v Speaker 1>the significance of it was a fucking lantern. The story
<v Speaker 1>was shit, and they dragged this thing out for months
<v Speaker 1>to where I thought they were going to put that
<v Speaker 1>on the WrestleMania car. Thankfully they didn't. So again, let's
<v Speaker 1>not sit here and pretend that what they were doing
<v Speaker 1>with the Wyatts was any good. It wasn't. Now they
<v Speaker 1>could have been doing other things with the Wyatt six
<v Speaker 1>instead of dragging this thing out for so long. Absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>that whole storyline, that whole few did nothing for either group,
<v Speaker 1>actually made the Wyatts, I think, less over than they
<v Speaker 1>were at the beginning of the whole thing. But the
<v Speaker 1>reality is this, the Wyatt six always was going to
<v Speaker 1>have a shelf life of a certain amount of time.
<v Speaker 1>I never looked at that as a sustainable gimmick in
<v Speaker 1>the long haul. I think it was cool the way
<v Speaker 1>that Bo was brought back and was allowed to pay
<v Speaker 1>tribute to his brother and continue his legacy and be
<v Speaker 1>able to carry on with some of the characters that
<v Speaker 1>he had created and thought about in his head, and
<v Speaker 1>I think he paid great tribute to him. And if
<v Speaker 1>you remember when they made their debut on Raw, remember
<v Speaker 1>when they massacred the entire roster. And I know some
<v Speaker 1>people were turned off by that, they thought the whole
<v Speaker 1>thing was ridiculous, But most people, I think were pretty
<v Speaker 1>excited about the way that they did and said, man,
<v Speaker 1>what a fucking debut this is. It was certainly memorable.
<v Speaker 1>It was a hell of a debut. And then the
<v Speaker 1>problem becomes, how do you follow up something like that?
<v Speaker 1>They massacred the entire roster. Chad Gable was laying there
<v Speaker 1>on the floor. It looked like he was shot in
<v Speaker 1>the hand. Everybody, I mean, blood on the walls. It
<v Speaker 1>was like something out of a horror movie. But you
<v Speaker 1>look at that and you go, how do you how
<v Speaker 1>do you continue on with something like that without just
<v Speaker 1>you know, you had all these guys in this group.
<v Speaker 1>It's almost like a supernatural force. And that's the problem
<v Speaker 1>with a gimmick like this is that where do you
<v Speaker 1>go next? There weren't a lot of great places to
<v Speaker 1>go with it if you wanted to kind of keep
<v Speaker 1>that aspect of it up or you can humanize them
<v Speaker 1>and go in a totally different direction, and we could
<v Speaker 1>learn more about each individual, you know, character in the group,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe some of them even branch off a little
<v Speaker 1>bit and start doing some single stuff. And they don't
<v Speaker 1>just do group stuff. They don't just do you know,
<v Speaker 1>six man tags or whatever. There were other ways to
<v Speaker 1>go about utilizing the Wyatt six, and they chose to
<v Speaker 1>go in the most basic, kind of boring, paint by numbers,
<v Speaker 1>vanilla way that they could. Would come out. They were
<v Speaker 1>an entrance, I am sorry to say, but that's what
<v Speaker 1>they ended up being. They became they were an entrance,
<v Speaker 1>and then the bell rang and they would have matches
<v Speaker 1>from time to time, not very often because they were
<v Speaker 1>an attraction. So you really shouldn't have them on TV
<v Speaker 1>every week. But when they were actually using them, what
<v Speaker 1>were they doing on the show that was exciting? What
<v Speaker 1>were they doing on the show that was interesting? We
<v Speaker 1>had these cut ins with these the VHS style vignettes,
<v Speaker 1>and after a while they all sort of blend together, right,
<v Speaker 1>They weren't really doing much at that point to think
<v Speaker 1>outside the box. It was the same basic bullshit every
<v Speaker 1>single week. And then the MFTs came along and at
<v Speaker 1>that point, I mean, it was just death all around.
<v Speaker 1>It was like they would come on my television screen
<v Speaker 1>and I would just try to do something else because
<v Speaker 1>I had absolutely no interest in seeing these people working
<v Speaker 1>together on this show. And it soured me. It soured
<v Speaker 1>me on all of them, it really did. And so
<v Speaker 1>you look at it and you go, Okay, what is
<v Speaker 1>the endgame for this group? For Uncle Howdy? Where do
<v Speaker 1>you go from here? Uncle Howdie is not wrestling Cony
<v Speaker 1>Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Joe Gacy is a talented guy.
<v Speaker 1>He had a chance to do a few different things
<v Speaker 1>in NX Team, remember the schism. He was doing some
<v Speaker 1>other stuff down there and was given the chance to
<v Speaker 1>start cutting promos and stuff like there was something there
<v Speaker 1>with him. But in the Y at six he was
<v Speaker 1>just a background player, barely ever had the chance to speak.
<v Speaker 1>He was just a guy Dexter Loomis who never spoke.
<v Speaker 1>That was his old gimmick. That sounds like death. Just
<v Speaker 1>another guy Eric Rowan they brought back. Remember when Rowan
<v Speaker 1>had that cameo on that aw pre show match, and
<v Speaker 1>I mean everybody's raving about him. He looked great in
<v Speaker 1>that match, and so when he was brought back to WW,
<v Speaker 1>he's like, Okay, you know what, that's kind of cool.
<v Speaker 1>They're giving him another chance. There's something there with him.
<v Speaker 1>He's not carrying around the dumb spider in the cage.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see what they do with him this time. They
<v Speaker 1>did nothing. They did nothing. They were an entrance. They
<v Speaker 1>didn't know what else to do with them. So it
<v Speaker 1>kind of feels like it was only a matter of
<v Speaker 1>time before we got here. But I look at like
<v Speaker 1>Nicki Cross, What the hell happened to Nicki Cross? She
<v Speaker 1>was part of this group. Do you remember the last
<v Speaker 1>time you saw Nicky Cross in a match on television?
<v Speaker 1>I bet you don't. If I asked you who was
<v Speaker 1>the last person that Nicky Cross was in the ring
<v Speaker 1>with in a singles match on television, and I'd put
<v Speaker 1>a gun to your head and I said give me
<v Speaker 1>the answer in ten seconds, you'd be fucking dead. You
<v Speaker 1>couldn't tell me. This woman hasn't worked a match on
<v Speaker 1>television in two years. To my knowledge, she wasn't injured.
<v Speaker 1>They basically put her on ice for two years. This
<v Speaker 1>woman is a wrestler. Instead, she came out in the
<v Speaker 1>funny mask and she would just be in the background
<v Speaker 1>and every now and then she would do a crossbody
<v Speaker 1>onto somebody on the floor. That was what she was
<v Speaker 1>being paid to do. She wasn't actually being used in
<v Speaker 1>the ring anymore. Maybe now she'll actually go out there
<v Speaker 1>and she'll have this big resurgence on the independency, and
<v Speaker 1>I think that would be great to see. It would
<v Speaker 1>be nice to get her back in the ring and
<v Speaker 1>have her start wrestling again. But this is what I mean,
<v Speaker 1>It's like, I don't know what the end goal was
<v Speaker 1>for this group. Just never made any sense to me
<v Speaker 1>the way they were being used. But the entire group, now,
<v Speaker 1>the entire faction gone from WWE. The tag team division
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown Fucking sucks. Okay, we have had the MFTs
<v Speaker 1>and the Wyatts doing some tag team stuff. And who
<v Speaker 1>are the tag team champions right now? Holy shit, I
<v Speaker 1>just forgot who the tag team champions are on this show?
<v Speaker 1>Is it the MFTs? I think the MFTs are the
<v Speaker 1>tag team champions. No, Damian Priest and Our Truth. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so there you go. I swear to you. I swear
<v Speaker 1>to you. I wasn't putting on an act there, I
<v Speaker 1>for the moment forgot who the fuck. The tag team
<v Speaker 1>champions were Damian Priest and Our Truth. Okay, the tag
<v Speaker 1>team that tells you everything you need to know. The
<v Speaker 1>tag team division on SmackDown sucks, and so you have
<v Speaker 1>the MotorCity machine Guns. They were part of that tag
<v Speaker 1>team division on SmackDown. They were doing nothing on the show,
<v Speaker 1>Alex Shelley and Chris Saban. Every now and then they
<v Speaker 1>would kind of dust them off to do something. The
<v Speaker 1>last thing we saw them doing on the show they
<v Speaker 1>were with Johnny Gargano trying to convince them to not
<v Speaker 1>lay on the crate. This was the compelling television that
<v Speaker 1>they came up with for these guys, Alex Shelley and
<v Speaker 1>Chris Saban, two very talented guys. The problem is right
<v Speaker 1>out of the gate when they got on smack Down,
<v Speaker 1>they made them tag team champions within the first two weeks.
<v Speaker 1>After that, it was all downhill. Where do you go
<v Speaker 1>from there? Right? They lost the titles not long after
<v Speaker 1>that and that was it. They never got back up
<v Speaker 1>to that level. They were part of I think a
<v Speaker 1>couple of memorable TLC matches on SmackDown, I think a
<v Speaker 1>year ago, right, weren't they part I think they might
<v Speaker 1>have been part of that match, but beyond that, I
<v Speaker 1>couldn't tell you a whole hell of a lot about
<v Speaker 1>what these two guys did. They always felt like they
<v Speaker 1>were on the bubble to me. And part of the
<v Speaker 1>problem also was that they never really got over. If
<v Speaker 1>we're being honest. We would see them on the show
<v Speaker 1>and it was painful. Sometimes they'd be out there and
<v Speaker 1>it was like pulling tea to try to get a
<v Speaker 1>reaction from the audience. And yeah, you could put some
<v Speaker 1>of that maybe on WWE in terms of the way
<v Speaker 1>that they were being booked and utilized on the show,
<v Speaker 1>but you can't put it all on WWE. Some of
<v Speaker 1>it goes on the talent, and the reality is they
<v Speaker 1>just did not get over at a high level on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>That put them in a very vulnerable position where today
<v Speaker 1>they were on the cutlist. And so the MotorCity machine
<v Speaker 1>Guns no longer in WWE. Alba Fire, who has been
<v Speaker 1>playing one of Chelsea Green's secret hervist agents, is gone.
<v Speaker 1>She posted on x Kaylee Ray would batter Alba Fire
<v Speaker 1>just saying Kaylee Ray, of course is the persona that
<v Speaker 1>she was playing in NXTUK and I believe she got
<v Speaker 1>a name change. When did she get the name change?
<v Speaker 1>Because I thought she was Kaylee Ray in nxt UK
<v Speaker 1>unless they changed her name there. But basically, she's ready
<v Speaker 1>to get back out there and be Kaylee Rays and
<v Speaker 1>say fuck you to Alba Fire and I think she's
<v Speaker 1>gonna do just fine for it. I think a lot
<v Speaker 1>of people on this list, frankly, are gonna end up
<v Speaker 1>doing very well for themselves, you know, and land somewhere
<v Speaker 1>if they want to sign a contract, if they don't
<v Speaker 1>want to, I think they'll do well on the indies.
<v Speaker 1>She's one of those people. But again, she wasn't really
<v Speaker 1>being used in a meaningful way. She was there to
<v Speaker 1>wheeld Chelsea Green out in her wheelchair. That's it. That's it.
<v Speaker 1>This one, it felt like it was only a matter
<v Speaker 1>of time. Zoe Stark. Zoe Stark is a name that
<v Speaker 1>we have not heard in a very long time because
<v Speaker 1>Zoe Stark suffered a horrific knee injury on raw in
<v Speaker 1>May of last year. I mean, I think back to
<v Speaker 1>that injury and the way her leg be Oh god,
<v Speaker 1>it was awful, and the scream I still I could
<v Speaker 1>hear her scream in my head so it was a terrible,
<v Speaker 1>terrible injury. She tore her ACL, her MCL, her meniscus,
<v Speaker 1>and she was on the road to recovery. She had surgery,
<v Speaker 1>she went grueling rehab, and we hadn't really heard any
<v Speaker 1>updates on her in quite some time. I was kind
<v Speaker 1>of following her social media on Instagram from time to time,
<v Speaker 1>and she seems, you know, to be doing a lot better.
<v Speaker 1>And I had actually just mentioned her not that long ago,
<v Speaker 1>and it felt like she might be, you know about
<v Speaker 1>ready to come back very soon. And I was thinking, well,
<v Speaker 1>they have the Women's Intercontinental title, they have the Women's
<v Speaker 1>United Stage Championship, and I could see her, you know,
<v Speaker 1>being plugged into one of those divisions and she could
<v Speaker 1>be a solid addition there, you know. Well, I mean
<v Speaker 1>it was wishful thinking that won't be happening, though, because
<v Speaker 1>she has been released by WWE, and I was not
<v Speaker 1>aware of the fact that apparently just recently she was
<v Speaker 1>cleared to return. Because you hear the name Zoe Stark
<v Speaker 1>and she was let go, It's like, well, that's pretty
<v Speaker 1>fucking shitty. Woman is still out recovering from this horrendous injury,
<v Speaker 1>hoping to make a comeback and you let her go.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently she was medically cleared. I don't know how recently,
<v Speaker 1>but sometime recently she was medically cleared to return, and
<v Speaker 1>I guess was just waiting to find out how they
<v Speaker 1>were going to bring her back into creative on television.
<v Speaker 1>To me, this is almost shittier. This is almost worse
<v Speaker 1>than if they would have just let her go in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of her rehabbing from that injury, because she
<v Speaker 1>went through all of this grueling rehab and recovery and
<v Speaker 1>she made it, and she got medically cleared, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure in her head she's all excited. Man, she's ready
<v Speaker 1>to come back. She's ready to jump back in that
<v Speaker 1>ring and contribute and get another chance. And then she
<v Speaker 1>has it taken away from her because that injury has
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that has to fuck with your head. That injury,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure was just devastating to her on so many levels.
<v Speaker 1>And so imagine working yourself back up to a place
<v Speaker 1>where now you are medically cleared and ready to come
<v Speaker 1>back and they fire you. To me, that's even worse now.
<v Speaker 1>She already posted on social media as well, she said,
<v Speaker 1>thank you WWE. You made a young girl's dream come true.
<v Speaker 1>You cannot have been better and more supportive during my healing,
<v Speaker 1>and I will forever be grateful. Thank you to all
<v Speaker 1>the girls in the back, the producers, cameraman, you were
<v Speaker 1>all incredibly kind and gracious. And a special thank you
<v Speaker 1>to Terry Taylor and Coach Bloom for teaching me so
<v Speaker 1>much and being a shoulder to lean on. It's just
<v Speaker 1>the end of this chapter and the beginning of a
<v Speaker 1>new one, falling forward, onward and upward with God's plan.
<v Speaker 1>And then she listed her email address if you want
<v Speaker 1>to book Zoe Stark z Stark dot booking at gmail
<v Speaker 1>dot com. I can assure you that some people will
<v Speaker 1>be reaching out to her to book her on their shows.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that she's going to be hurting for
<v Speaker 1>work when she's ready to make her comeback. Now. It
<v Speaker 1>makes me wonder. I can't help but look at this
<v Speaker 1>and want because of me, And we're talking about we're
<v Speaker 1>talking about WWE and TKO and big corporation here looking
<v Speaker 1>at this and wondering if they were waiting until she
<v Speaker 1>was officially healed and medically cleared, if they were going
<v Speaker 1>to make a move like this. That's the cynic in me.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to believe that that's the case. And
<v Speaker 1>also they have shown in the past that they will
<v Speaker 1>let you go even if you are currently out injured.
<v Speaker 1>I have other names to get to here. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>the next name I'm gonna get to falls under that category.
<v Speaker 1>So maybe that's not what happened. Yet I just think
<v Speaker 1>that's incredibly shitty. Zoe is a talented wrestler, and Zoe
<v Speaker 1>is someone who, as I said, could be play. You
<v Speaker 1>have two women's mid car championships now in this company
<v Speaker 1>that were really only instituted a few months before she
<v Speaker 1>got hurt. She would be someone who, again you can
<v Speaker 1>easily plug in and then if she does really well
<v Speaker 1>this run and she really hits it off, then who knows,
<v Speaker 1>maybe she can climb even higher. But they evidently felt
<v Speaker 1>that it wasn't worth it. She wasn't worth it. She
<v Speaker 1>didn't bring enough value to this company, so they let
<v Speaker 1>her go. Santo's Escobar. This is another one that is
<v Speaker 1>just wild to think about. Santacobar was on SmackDown once
<v Speaker 1>upon a time, leading a small faction. It was him,
<v Speaker 1>it was Angel, it was Berdo, and again they weren't
<v Speaker 1>really lighting the world on fire. They really weren't doing
<v Speaker 1>a whole lot with them. And then his contract expired
<v Speaker 1>and he chose not to re sign with WWE, as
<v Speaker 1>I recall, and so he was about to become a
<v Speaker 1>free agent. I think for a brief period of time
<v Speaker 1>he did become a free agent. WWE apparently really wanted
<v Speaker 1>to sign him. They wanted him back, and so they
<v Speaker 1>negotiated a new deal. They apparently threw a shit ton
<v Speaker 1>of money at this guy, and he agreed to re sign.
<v Speaker 1>And I look at that, I go, hey, good for him.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that was his plan, but apparently
<v Speaker 1>he got a much better deal out of it. And
<v Speaker 1>then we didn't hear anything about Santos Escobar for months,
<v Speaker 1>for months, and then there was a report that, oh,
<v Speaker 1>he kind of fell through the cracks, and so WWE
<v Speaker 1>is hearing plans to bring him back very soon. Fell
<v Speaker 1>through the cracks, and then they bring him back in
<v Speaker 1>Triple A. Unfortunately for him, he got injured. I think
<v Speaker 1>he got injured back into January. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>he didn't know about it, didn't know the severity of it,
<v Speaker 1>hit it, I don't know what happened there, if he
<v Speaker 1>got hurt in January. It wasn't until March at that
<v Speaker 1>Triple A Rey de Reys show. He was in that
<v Speaker 1>four way match and you could tell that something was wrong.
<v Speaker 1>He just did not look great in that match. Somehow
<v Speaker 1>he worked the match, but I think it was a
<v Speaker 1>triceps tear, and so he underwent surgery to repair his arm.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently within the last few weeks he had a second surgery.
<v Speaker 1>There was some issue I think with his ulnar nerve
<v Speaker 1>I believe is what I read. So again he's going
<v Speaker 1>to be out for a while. He just had two surgeries.
<v Speaker 1>He re signed with the company because they pursued him.
<v Speaker 1>They wanted him back, and so they threw money at
<v Speaker 1>him and he agreed to come back, and now he
<v Speaker 1>is done. They have fired him. And again I look
<v Speaker 1>at this and I just go, I don't understand how
<v Speaker 1>that works. You wanted him so bad. It wasn't even
<v Speaker 1>being used on the show in any significant way. It
<v Speaker 1>was kind of weird. How we have to have him,
<v Speaker 1>we have to have him back, and it's like, all right,
<v Speaker 1>good for him. He's a talented guy. Hopefully they'll do
<v Speaker 1>more with him. But apparently not good enough to hold
<v Speaker 1>on to because now he's out of a job anyway.
<v Speaker 1>As it turned out, again, it's just one of those things.
<v Speaker 1>And again he's hurt at the time, at the moment,
<v Speaker 1>he's hurt. So that's one of those names on the
<v Speaker 1>list that I just shake my head at and I go,
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand. Make it make sense, because to me
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't. Apollo Cruz, I don't know, to be honest
<v Speaker 1>with you, I don't know how he survived the previous
<v Speaker 1>cuts because you talk about somebody who was being paid
<v Speaker 1>and showing up to work and really not being utilized
<v Speaker 1>outside of maybe wrestling on main event. That is the
<v Speaker 1>story of Apollo Cruise in his career the last few years.
<v Speaker 1>He did get a bit of a push. Years ago.
<v Speaker 1>He was even the Intercontinental Champion at one point. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>how many years ago? That was? I was five years ago.
<v Speaker 1>What have they done with Apollo Cruse in the last
<v Speaker 1>four years five years? Nothing good for him. He survived
<v Speaker 1>a lot of other waves of cuts. Unfortunately it caught
<v Speaker 1>up with him this time. He should have read jtg's book.
<v Speaker 1>See if you would have read jtg's book, he would
<v Speaker 1>have known, don't answer your phone. Unfortunately he answered his
<v Speaker 1>phone and he ended up on the list, Andre Chase
<v Speaker 1>and Dante Chen. They were also released from NXT. Chase
<v Speaker 1>he had not been on NXT television since January. I
<v Speaker 1>think the peak of the whole Chase youth thing that
<v Speaker 1>was some time ago, as it is Dante Chen. He
<v Speaker 1>was the first Singaporean wrestler ever signed to w WE.
<v Speaker 1>He tweeted saying five years, one hundred and forty seven matches,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, WWE. And I don't think he meant it
<v Speaker 1>this way. But if that isn't an argument for the
<v Speaker 1>the need for more house shows, I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>is one hundred and forty seven matches in five years
<v Speaker 1>isn't very many matches. But he was never really used
<v Speaker 1>as anything other than, you know, like a lower card,
<v Speaker 1>almost like an enhancement guy to really make the other
<v Speaker 1>person look good. I don't ever remember him being pushed
<v Speaker 1>in a serious way, even in NXT the appearances I
<v Speaker 1>remember him making, I don't believe he was ever seriously pushed.
<v Speaker 1>Tyra May Steele is gone. She won a gold medal
<v Speaker 1>in the twenty twenty Tokyo Olympics, first female winner from
<v Speaker 1>the first season of WWELFG. She is gone. This is
<v Speaker 1>this is a kind of a an eerie one. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know how many of you were paying attention to this,
<v Speaker 1>but if you remember last month she tweeted. It was
<v Speaker 1>a very weird tweet and some people took it to
<v Speaker 1>mean that she had been released by WWE, and WWE,
<v Speaker 1>I guess had to put a statement out saying she
<v Speaker 1>is in fact not released and she's still under contract.
<v Speaker 1>But she had tweeted something about I guess having a
<v Speaker 1>dream or having a nightmare that resulted in her being
<v Speaker 1>released by WWE. But she was just talking about a dream.
<v Speaker 1>She was talking about a nightmare that she had. One
<v Speaker 1>month later, that nightmare has become a reality because she
<v Speaker 1>has in fact been released by WWE. So that's a
<v Speaker 1>little eerie. And the other names on this list you
<v Speaker 1>may or may not know. I only know a handful
<v Speaker 1>of them. Serena Linton, Tyson DuPont, Tyreek, Iguay, Chris Island,
<v Speaker 1>Malik Blade, Trill London, and Luca Crucifino, who I think
<v Speaker 1>had been doing stuff in Evolve. They are all gone
<v Speaker 1>from WWE. So those are the names that we know
<v Speaker 1>of so far. By my count I believe that makes
<v Speaker 1>twenty four. It's somewhere in that two dozen range and
<v Speaker 1>there could be more yet to come. This is all
<v Speaker 1>broken just in the last several hours. Sometimes these things
<v Speaker 1>will drag on into the weekend or the beginning of
<v Speaker 1>the following week. Hopefully that's all of them. Again, no
<v Speaker 1>one takes pleasure, and if you do, again, you're an asshole.
<v Speaker 1>No one takes pleasure in hearing that somebody got fired,
<v Speaker 1>so you know, randomly released, they lost their job, unless
<v Speaker 1>there's a damn good reason for it. Some people, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>if it's a disciplinary thing, that's a different story, but
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't seem to be the case here. And I
<v Speaker 1>would be very curious to find out more about the
<v Speaker 1>Alistair black one, if that in fact was a release,
<v Speaker 1>or if it was something if it was a case
<v Speaker 1>where his wife was released and he's kind of standing
<v Speaker 1>with her and opted to leave on his own volition. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that's what happened here. We'll wait
<v Speaker 1>for more information. It's just a terrible thing if you
<v Speaker 1>are in that position, because I'm sure for a lot
<v Speaker 1>of these people they've been through it before, and a
<v Speaker 1>lot of them haven't. And it's a terrible phone call
<v Speaker 1>to get and then you wonder, okay, well, what's next
<v Speaker 1>for me. It's a little bit different. If your an
<v Speaker 1>established name, you'll probably be fine. Some of these names
<v Speaker 1>that they want to continue wrestling if they were out
<v Speaker 1>of the PC, let's say, they don't know, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they don't know where their future is going to take them.
<v Speaker 1>Some of these names on this list, whether it's again
<v Speaker 1>a Kyrie Saying or Santos Escobar, Zoe Stark, someone like that.
<v Speaker 1>There are companies, whether it be a TNA or an
<v Speaker 1>AW or what have you, MLW that will absolutely be
<v Speaker 1>able to use them and hopefully they will land on
<v Speaker 1>their feet and they will do well. And who's to
<v Speaker 1>say that, you know, years from now WWE doesn't come
<v Speaker 1>calling again. That's what happens sometimes, you know, you get released,
<v Speaker 1>shit happens, You go out, you work, you make yourself
<v Speaker 1>into a bigger name and a hotter commodity, and all
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden one day ww's like, hey, you know,
<v Speaker 1>let's have a conversation. And there have been ex samples
<v Speaker 1>of this before of people that have left or been
<v Speaker 1>fired and have come back, and hopefully that will be
<v Speaker 1>the case with some of these folks. You know, if
<v Speaker 1>they want to work for WWE again, hopefully that will
<v Speaker 1>be the case for them, Hopefully they'll land on their feet.
<v Speaker 1>But just some of these names are just puzzling to me.
<v Speaker 1>I would be curious to see if any news comes
<v Speaker 1>out about why someone like a Kyrie saying, in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of a story like that on Monday night, Raw
<v Speaker 1>is suddenly let go. I don't understand that. That doesn't
<v Speaker 1>make any sense to me. If there were names on
<v Speaker 1>this list that were, you know, bigger names, let's say,
<v Speaker 1>and you look at that and you hear, oh, man,
<v Speaker 1>this person was making you know, high six figures and
<v Speaker 1>they're not really being used in a high six figure
<v Speaker 1>kind of way, and WWE decided, you know what, that
<v Speaker 1>contract has to go. It sucks, But I can understand
<v Speaker 1>that at least there's a logic to that. To me,
<v Speaker 1>there's no logic in some of these names being on
<v Speaker 1>this list. I don't understand it. And in some cases, yes,
<v Speaker 1>you can look at it and go to, wwe really
<v Speaker 1>drop the ball on this person or that person. But
<v Speaker 1>then there are other names where you know what, it
<v Speaker 1>cuts both ways. Sorry to say, some of these cuts
<v Speaker 1>are not surprising at all. Sometimes there are names that
<v Speaker 1>are going to be cut and they've got to make
<v Speaker 1>room for new ones. We have new NXT call ups.
<v Speaker 1>That was something we saw on Raw Monday Night, Ethan Page,
<v Speaker 1>Soul Ruka even earlier this year, Obafemi, Javon Evans, Trick Williams,
<v Speaker 1>Jordan Grace. You have to make room for the next
<v Speaker 1>generation of stars, which also means that as new names
<v Speaker 1>come in, there are going to be names that have
<v Speaker 1>to go out. And we've talked about this issue with
<v Speaker 1>AW before. They have a gigantic roster and they signed
<v Speaker 1>and they signed, and they signed, and they sign people
<v Speaker 1>and you don't hear stories a lot about people who
<v Speaker 1>are leaving, about people who are being released, which in
<v Speaker 1>a way is is kind of good. But you can
<v Speaker 1>get to a point where the roster becomes overloaded, and
<v Speaker 1>that's not good either because then you have people who
<v Speaker 1>become unhappy because they're not being utilized because there's only
<v Speaker 1>so much television time, right, it kind of cuts both ways.
<v Speaker 1>That's why everybody on this list can't just go to
<v Speaker 1>AAW But that's why it's also good to have multiple
<v Speaker 1>places to go work aw TNA MLW. I mean you
<v Speaker 1>also have a Ring of Honor, which is technically still
<v Speaker 1>aaw but it's good to have multiple places to work.
<v Speaker 1>This is an example of why this is something WWE
<v Speaker 1>does just about every single year, and it's to be expected.
<v Speaker 1>It sucks, but it's part of life. When you work
<v Speaker 1>for that company, you have to accept that it's part
<v Speaker 1>of life. At some point, they're going to turn around
<v Speaker 1>when you're of no use to them, You're of no
<v Speaker 1>value to them anymore, and they're gonna say goodbye. And
<v Speaker 1>the question is do you have a backup plan on
<v Speaker 1>what it is that you want to do. This week's
<v Speaker 1>episode is sponsored by Wicks. Look's a web designer. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>when I started my first site years ago, I used
<v Speaker 1>to edit code in a Windows Notepad document. But playing

<v Speaker 1>Just think what Wix can do for yours. Try it
<v Speaker 1>now at wis dot com slash harmony. That's wis dot
<v Speaker 1>com slash harmony. I mentioned there being some NXT call
<v Speaker 1>ups on the show tonight. Raw Monday Night, we saw
<v Speaker 1>who they were there, it only made sense that we
<v Speaker 1>would have more NXT call ups on the show tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and we did fatal influence the entire trio. J C.
<v Speaker 1>Jane Fallon, Henley Laney read they're officially now part of
<v Speaker 1>the SmackDown roster. We also learned tonight that Blake Monroe
<v Speaker 1>the Glamour is on her way to SmackDown. That is
<v Speaker 1>long overdue and a move that I think will absolutely
<v Speaker 1>strengthen the women's division on that show, as will fatal influence.
<v Speaker 1>Ricky Saints is on his way to smack Then. He
<v Speaker 1>did not debut tonight, but we did get a vignette
<v Speaker 1>for him, and he is going to be making his
<v Speaker 1>debut in Tulsa next week, which would mean that Ricky
<v Speaker 1>Saints and Royce Keys are going to be reunited. Two
<v Speaker 1>former members of Team TAZ going to be reunited here
<v Speaker 1>on this show. And again, these are moves that were
<v Speaker 1>were needed, especially after what we saw Monday night. SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>needed a boost. They got that boost. One boost I
<v Speaker 1>thought the show might get was the addition of Cmpunk.
<v Speaker 1>There was no mention of cmpunk on the show today,
<v Speaker 1>there was no cmpunk appearance. There was no indication that
<v Speaker 1>cmpunk is going to be SmackDown bound. He still could be,
<v Speaker 1>but for the time being, it doesn't look like that. Instead,
<v Speaker 1>what we had in the main event was Solo Sokoa
<v Speaker 1>against Jacob fa Tu, who was both on Raw Monday
<v Speaker 1>and on SmackDown tonight. And I'm all for more Jacob
<v Speaker 1>fa too. I think he's got a huge upside. I'm
<v Speaker 1>a big Jacob fa two fan. I have no issue
<v Speaker 1>with that. But we had the bloodline stuff close the
<v Speaker 1>show out on Monday night. How did they open the
<v Speaker 1>show tonight with the bloodline stuff? How much of the
<v Speaker 1>bloodline are we going to get across these two shows?
<v Speaker 1>It was jarring to see on a day where so
<v Speaker 1>many non bloodline names were released and lost their jobs,
<v Speaker 1>and they just seemed to be flooding the zone with
<v Speaker 1>more bloodline stuff on these shows. It was very noticeable.
<v Speaker 1>But Jacob is looking for an answer on Monday from
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns, so tonight what they wanted to do was
<v Speaker 1>get him in the main event and get a win
<v Speaker 1>under his belt and push the story of him in Roman.
<v Speaker 1>Is that going to be the match of Backlash or not,
<v Speaker 1>we won't know until Monday night. But that is why
<v Speaker 1>they did what they did today, and the USO's by
<v Speaker 1>the way, they crossed over from Raw to SmackDown tonight
<v Speaker 1>as well, because what brand split. There is no fucking
<v Speaker 1>brand split. They can go wherever they want to go,
<v Speaker 1>so they decided to show up on SmackDown tonight. Cody Rhodes,
<v Speaker 1>his eye is all fucked up after the WRESTLEMANI a
<v Speaker 1>Night one main event. I thought we would get some
<v Speaker 1>sort of injury update on him tonight. We didn't. He
<v Speaker 1>came out, he cut a promo, a very basic promo,
<v Speaker 1>certainly nothing as interesting as what we saw with him
<v Speaker 1>in Punk on Monday. But there was no mention of
<v Speaker 1>whether or not he suffered some sort of injury. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>beyond just what we see with our own two eyes,
<v Speaker 1>or if he's medically cleared, or when he might be
<v Speaker 1>back in the ring. There was nothing. There was nothing.
<v Speaker 1>His eye still looks all gnarly. It'll be a few
<v Speaker 1>weeks before he heals up. Doesn't look like he's probably
<v Speaker 1>going to be in the ring at Backlash, which I
<v Speaker 1>guess doesn't really matter. If they have Roman defending his
<v Speaker 1>title on that show. We had more bloodline on the show,
<v Speaker 1>and honestly, beyond that, we do have a new United
<v Speaker 1>States Champion on the women's side. We're going to get
<v Speaker 1>into that. This was not a great show. I do
<v Speaker 1>like the fact that we're getting some new faces on
<v Speaker 1>the show. I think that it's absolutely needed. I think, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>a whole fucking reset is needed with this show, in
<v Speaker 1>this entire product, and we're getting that to some degree
<v Speaker 1>with some of these new faces that have been called up.
<v Speaker 1>But this was not a great show tonight. It was
<v Speaker 1>a decent show. There were definitely things I liked, and
<v Speaker 1>there were definitely things I did like, and that was
<v Speaker 1>really the story of smack then, And we're going to
<v Speaker 1>get into all of it here because this is your
<v Speaker 1>Friday Night SmackDown review on a very newsworthy night. It
<v Speaker 1>is Friday night, April twenty fifth, twenty twenty six. I
<v Speaker 1>am the solemn Monster, like and subscribe. Thank you again
<v Speaker 1>for helping me smash ninety two thousand subscribers earlier this week.
<v Speaker 1>I very much appreciate that. Onward we go spin the wheel.
<v Speaker 1>Not a very really mood tonight, But let's find out
<v Speaker 1>how many likes we need to do Be the Booker
<v Speaker 1>later on, little thing we do at the end of
<v Speaker 1>these streams, five hundred and thirty. That is the goal
<v Speaker 1>for tonight. So get those likes up, and we're already
<v Speaker 1>at four to forty five, so I think we're going
<v Speaker 1>to do pretty well. But that is the goal for
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker tonight. Let's take it from the very
<v Speaker 1>top here. We got a lot to get into here.
<v Speaker 1>I got a lot to say about this show. But
<v Speaker 1>it started the same way it ended on Monday Night.
<v Speaker 1>We saw Jacob fought Too close the show. He opened
<v Speaker 1>the show tonight and he made his way down to
<v Speaker 1>the ring after having just challenged Roman Reigns, the brand
<v Speaker 1>new World Heavyweight Champion, to a match at Backlash for
<v Speaker 1>the title, and I thought that that meant that Jacob
<v Speaker 1>was moving to Monday Night Row. Now maybe he is,
<v Speaker 1>we don't know, because he was right back on SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>this week, not only in this segment, but he closed
<v Speaker 1>the show in the main event. So who the fuck
<v Speaker 1>knows what brand Jacob Fought Too is ultimately gonna land on.
<v Speaker 1>But he comes out and he states that he told
<v Speaker 1>Roman that he wanted him and that he needed the
<v Speaker 1>world title, and then Roman looked at him in the
<v Speaker 1>eye and said, you're not ready. The truth is Roman
<v Speaker 1>was right because what Roman told him has been something
<v Speaker 1>that he's heard from his friends and family his entire life.
<v Speaker 1>If Roman thinks he's not ready, he better step up
<v Speaker 1>in the ring to prove it. And that brought out
<v Speaker 1>the USOS, who evidently forgot what day of the week
<v Speaker 1>it was they came out here on SmackDown, Jimmy said
<v Speaker 1>that he heard what fat I had to say on
<v Speaker 1>Monday about how he wanted to level up for his family,
<v Speaker 1>and he said, Cody defended his title, but he's slipping.
<v Speaker 1>He said that that should be his target, not Roman,
<v Speaker 1>and he warned not to go after the ot scene.
<v Speaker 1>Instead run the play with the family and the fans.
<v Speaker 1>I will point out the fans were booing there like
<v Speaker 1>these two guys were heels, and Jimmy basically said, just
<v Speaker 1>ignore them, don't listen to what these people have to say. Said,
<v Speaker 1>they're not going to give you that lifestyle, they're not
<v Speaker 1>going to give you the big money, they're not going
<v Speaker 1>to put your kids in nicer schools. So then Jay
<v Speaker 1>chimed in and he said, it's too late. He said,
<v Speaker 1>Jacob stepped up, he opened his mouth. He said that
<v Speaker 1>it was time to see if he can swim in
<v Speaker 1>the deep end, and to get respect from Roman, you
<v Speaker 1>need to walk up to him, look him in the eye,
<v Speaker 1>and get ready for war. So now the MFTs were
<v Speaker 1>out all but Tallatanga. He was never mentioned, he was
<v Speaker 1>never seen. It's as if he just didn't exist in
<v Speaker 1>this world anymore, which again has me wondering if we're
<v Speaker 1>going to see his name on a list very soon.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully he's just sick or maybe he missed his flight.
<v Speaker 1>But on a day where you had about two dozen
<v Speaker 1>people released from this company, not a good time to
<v Speaker 1>be no showing here on this show. It's probably not
<v Speaker 1>a good sign. But the other members of the MFTs
<v Speaker 1>came out. Solo Sokoa said the usos were lying to him.
<v Speaker 1>He took credit for bringing Jacob into WWE. He said,
<v Speaker 1>fat Tu wasn't going to beat Roman alone. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to need an army in the form of the MFTs.
<v Speaker 1>Tom A Tonga then swiped the microphone out of Solo's
<v Speaker 1>hand and he asked him, why are we wasting our
<v Speaker 1>time with this? He said, fat Tow is a lost
<v Speaker 1>cause he couldn't even beat you. So Toma got super
<v Speaker 1>kicked by Jacob, who told Solo that the only one
<v Speaker 1>who should be talking to him right now is Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns and Fatu then issued the challenge to Solo to
<v Speaker 1>face him later tonight in the main event. This was
<v Speaker 1>your typical revolving Door WWE opening promo segment. As far
<v Speaker 1>as continuing the Bloodline stuff from Monday into Friday, I
<v Speaker 1>really wish we would get some more variety on these shows.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if they want to put up a some
<v Speaker 1>semblance of or pretend that there's a real split going
<v Speaker 1>on here, I don't think we need. You know, the
<v Speaker 1>bloodline stuff takes up enough oxygen as it is, and
<v Speaker 1>that's fine on Monday, but if that's where Roman's gonna be,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know why we need it on this show
<v Speaker 1>as well, when there's so many other people who could
<v Speaker 1>use that time. But Jacob being featured in a title
<v Speaker 1>role like this where he's like the main player, I
<v Speaker 1>can get behind that that I do like. I like
<v Speaker 1>the added focus on him. He got that big win
<v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania over Drew McIntyre, who was not on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he's off filming more for his Highlander movie. So
<v Speaker 1>they sent it to Kathy Kelly in the back, who
<v Speaker 1>interviewed Julia and Keanna James about Julia's upcoming US title
<v Speaker 1>match with Tiffany Stratton, and Keanu said that they were
<v Speaker 1>both mad about the lack of respect. She said it
<v Speaker 1>only lit a fire under them to beat Tiffany. Julia
<v Speaker 1>said she feels no pressure, only anger. Julia was very
<v Speaker 1>upset about being left off the right card, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure some of that is very real emotion, because I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure she was not happy about being left off that card,
<v Speaker 1>as I believe the only singles champion right or certainly
<v Speaker 1>one of them. I mean, we know that both women's
<v Speaker 1>world titles were defended, and we know the women's I
<v Speaker 1>see and the women's tag titles were defended, so Julia
<v Speaker 1>was the only women's champion on the main roster to
<v Speaker 1>not have a title match either, not of WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 1>would be upset too if I were her. If you
<v Speaker 1>watch their body language and listen to what they were
<v Speaker 1>saying here in this segment, they're definitely teasing a split
<v Speaker 1>between these two. Julia was not happy with Keana. Keanu
<v Speaker 1>was not happy with Julia. They were both being very
<v Speaker 1>snippy with each other, which I think is long overdue.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see this pairing has not helped either one
<v Speaker 1>of them. How has this pairing really benefited Julia. Like
<v Speaker 1>the sooner they split them, the I would like to say,
<v Speaker 1>the better off they'll be, But then again, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if that's necessarily a good thing for Julia and
<v Speaker 1>her long term future in this company, especially after what
<v Speaker 1>we saw here. In this next match, which was Julia
<v Speaker 1>defending her United States Championship against Tiffany Stratton, fast paced
<v Speaker 1>early on, they had dueling pinfall attempts from both women.
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany grabbed Keana when she tried to interfere. Julia tried
<v Speaker 1>to come in for something. She accidentally collides with Keana,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm just saying, uh oh, that's not good. Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>hit Julia with her rolling sent on. She went up
<v Speaker 1>top for the prettiest Moonsalt ever, and Julia caught her
<v Speaker 1>on the way down into what I thought was going
<v Speaker 1>to be an armbar, but she transitioned into kind of
<v Speaker 1>like a Rings of Saturn. It was actually a very
<v Speaker 1>cool counter of the pme. So Tiffany got out of it,
<v Speaker 1>but then she got blasted with the Arrivaderchi. Ni, what
<v Speaker 1>a sin it would be. By the way, if they
<v Speaker 1>let Julia go and they're a month out from their
<v Speaker 1>first show, their first plee in Italy, can you imagine here?
<v Speaker 1>I was like a month ago to moth Ago, thinking, oh,
<v Speaker 1>Julia should get a match on that show, or she's
<v Speaker 1>got some Battalion roots. She could defend her title on
<v Speaker 1>that show. She may not even be employed by the
<v Speaker 1>time they get to that show. The way things are going,
<v Speaker 1>how fucked up would that be? So Tiffany reversed the
<v Speaker 1>Northern Lights bomb into an Alabama Slam. She followed with
<v Speaker 1>the prettiest moon Salt ever. This time it connected, and
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany Stratton is your brand new United States Champion. I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was and it went about eight minutes. I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was solid for those eight minutes. But again,
<v Speaker 1>Julia losing the title today, of all days, you gonna
<v Speaker 1>tell me I'm wrong not to be worried for this woman.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's a terrible sign. I think that's a
<v Speaker 1>very bad sign for her future. But as far as
<v Speaker 1>her second run, she had two runs as the United
<v Speaker 1>States Champion, and neither of them were successful, because if
<v Speaker 1>they were successful, then she wouldn't be in the position
<v Speaker 1>that she's in right now where I feel again, I
<v Speaker 1>feel like she's on the bubble. I feel like she
<v Speaker 1>may be a lost cause on this show. They've never
<v Speaker 1>really fully gotten behind her. They've never really allowed her
<v Speaker 1>to go out there. And again, this was eight minutes.
<v Speaker 1>That's decent enough. She really hasn't had the chance to
<v Speaker 1>go out there and engage with somebody in a way
<v Speaker 1>where she can really show off what she can do.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying she has to go out there and
<v Speaker 1>stiff people and injure them. I'm just saying we really
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen Julia, the real Julia. We have yet to
<v Speaker 1>see her on SmackDown. We saw more of her in
<v Speaker 1>NXT than we have on SmackDown, and she's another one.
<v Speaker 1>I mentioned the Motor City machine Guns right, very talented.
<v Speaker 1>I like those guys. They weren't over, they weren't getting
<v Speaker 1>reactions on the show. Julia goes out there, she doesn't
<v Speaker 1>get any reactions on the show. You can be a
<v Speaker 1>Julia fan, but you can't be blind to this, and
<v Speaker 1>that's what worries me, But I just feel like they
<v Speaker 1>haven't really done a whole lot with her. She's walking
<v Speaker 1>around with a championship. That's great, but what does that
<v Speaker 1>really mean if you're not doing a whole hell of
<v Speaker 1>a lot on the show show. And I also don't
<v Speaker 1>think they trust her on promos because she'll she'll speak,
<v Speaker 1>but it's like in sound bites and if you've heard Julia,
<v Speaker 1>her English is actually not that bad. Like she could
<v Speaker 1>go out there in the back or wherever and cut
<v Speaker 1>a promo if they wanted her to cut a promo
<v Speaker 1>on somebody. But I just feel like they don't let
<v Speaker 1>her go out there and do what she can do,
<v Speaker 1>you know, to the best of her ability. She's kind
<v Speaker 1>of limited in that way. And you couple that with
<v Speaker 1>the fact that she's just not getting over with the audience.
<v Speaker 1>That's the kiss of death. I think they see more
<v Speaker 1>in Keana James than they do in Julia. I think
<v Speaker 1>of the two, if I had to say one is
<v Speaker 1>safe and the other is not, I think Keana is safe.
<v Speaker 1>I really do. I think they see Keana as somebody
<v Speaker 1>who could really be a player in that women's division.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they see Julia the same way. It sucks,
<v Speaker 1>but I really don't. I've seen nothing that they have
<v Speaker 1>done on these shows to demonstrate to me that they
<v Speaker 1>see the value in Julia in being a real top
<v Speaker 1>tier player in that women's division. And it doesn't help
<v Speaker 1>that she was left off the WrestleMania card, the only
<v Speaker 1>champion to be left off the WrestleMania card. We got
<v Speaker 1>a pre tape vignette of Dan Hausen. I think they
<v Speaker 1>said this was earlier today or earlier this week, visiting
<v Speaker 1>the miss's house. The misses living in this palatial estate.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this was his real house, probably not,
<v Speaker 1>but whatever, it's a beautiful home. Whoever's house it is.
<v Speaker 1>It's like when Cody Rhodes went to Drew McIntyre's house
<v Speaker 1>that that wasn't Drew McIntire's house. But anyway, so he
<v Speaker 1>goes and he rings the doorbell and miss you know,
<v Speaker 1>he opens the door. He can't believe. First of all,
<v Speaker 1>he opens the door, nobody's there. But then he turns
<v Speaker 1>around and Dan Hausen has somehow teleported into his house,
<v Speaker 1>and he asks him, you know what he you doing
<v Speaker 1>in my house? How did you find my house? And
<v Speaker 1>he orders him to leave and MS turns around. I
<v Speaker 1>think to close the door or open the door, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know whatever. But he turns back around and dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen is gone. So Mis goes walking through the house
<v Speaker 1>and he goes to the backyard and he finds Dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen is lounging in his pool, and the Mis he
<v Speaker 1>does not want Dan house in the lounging in his pool,
<v Speaker 1>and he says, get out of my pool, and so
<v Speaker 1>he did. But all he did was teleport himself into
<v Speaker 1>the outer pool. It's the best way I could describe.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a main pool in the middle, and then
<v Speaker 1>there's like kind of like an outer pool. He goes, well,
<v Speaker 1>I am he told me to get out of that pool.
<v Speaker 1>So now I'm in the other pool and MS just
<v Speaker 1>comes charging at him. Of course, no one's there, and
<v Speaker 1>MS falls in the water, and it says in the
<v Speaker 1>corner of the screen to be continued. So we're going
<v Speaker 1>to get a follow up vignette later on in the show.
<v Speaker 1>I look guilt, call my guilty pleasure. I got a
<v Speaker 1>kick out of this. We come back, Tiffany Stratton is
<v Speaker 1>being interviewed by was it Kathy? I thin Kathy was
<v Speaker 1>the one who was interviewing her, not on the stage,
<v Speaker 1>but it was kind of like this was one of
<v Speaker 1>those weird things where they're filming this and you could
<v Speaker 1>see the crowd in the background, but they're kind of
<v Speaker 1>by the stage or just kind of off to the side,
<v Speaker 1>and she's going to do an interview here with Tiffany,
<v Speaker 1>the brand new champion, and Tiffany said it felt amazing
<v Speaker 1>to be on top again, she was no longer stuck
<v Speaker 1>in second place as the runner up. Said that she's
<v Speaker 1>ready to show that the WWE is operating on Tiffy time,
<v Speaker 1>but she's interrupted. She's interrupted by bre Mode. Out comes
<v Speaker 1>bri Bella with her shiny new Women's Tag Team Championship belt.
<v Speaker 1>She raises it high above her head, and then Page
<v Speaker 1>comes out, and this was Page's return to SmackDown. She
<v Speaker 1>used to the general manager on this show, I believe
<v Speaker 1>many years ago, almost a decade ago. So she comes
<v Speaker 1>out with her tag team title, and the champions made
<v Speaker 1>their way down to the ring and bre noted that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, while it's a shame that she couldn't win
<v Speaker 1>these titles with her sister, shout out to Nikki. She's
<v Speaker 1>at home recovery. She was more than happy to do
<v Speaker 1>so alongside an old friend like Page, and she welcomed
<v Speaker 1>Paige back to WWE. So Page spoke and she was
<v Speaker 1>starting to lose her voice. She apologized. She said that
<v Speaker 1>she had a hectic week when she got the call
<v Speaker 1>from Brie though about tagging with her at WrestleMania. She
<v Speaker 1>said that that was something that she couldn't say no to.
<v Speaker 1>She was more than happy to answer, and she said
<v Speaker 1>it was a rough road to get back here, but
<v Speaker 1>she was happy to be back home. SmackDown is still
<v Speaker 1>her house, she said. So that brought out Charlotte Flair
<v Speaker 1>and Alexa Bliss, and Flair said that she could speak
<v Speaker 1>for herself and Alexa and welcoming Page back, but she
<v Speaker 1>had something that belonged to them, and Charlotte suggested that
<v Speaker 1>if Page wanted to prove that she was the best,
<v Speaker 1>she and Brie could defend their women's tag team titles
<v Speaker 1>against the two of them. So the challenge was accepted.
<v Speaker 1>They called for a referee. Here comes Charles Robinson charging
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring like it's WrestleMania twenty four all
<v Speaker 1>over again, and that took us into the commercial break.
<v Speaker 1>That is, two impromptu matches on this show so far
<v Speaker 1>that had been made, which again begs the question what
<v Speaker 1>is Nick All this doing? During the week, he continues
<v Speaker 1>to make the case for the worst general manager in WWE.
<v Speaker 1>So they come back from break and the title match
<v Speaker 1>here is already in progress Bliss and Flair. They cut
<v Speaker 1>the ring in half on Brie. Brie was about to
<v Speaker 1>make a hot tag to Page when who should show
<v Speaker 1>up and pull her down off the apron and send
<v Speaker 1>her into the ring steps J C. Jane and the
<v Speaker 1>referee calls for the disqualification fallon. Henley and Laney Reid
<v Speaker 1>of Fatal Influence also show up and they beat down
<v Speaker 1>Flair and Bliss, and they left all four women laying.
<v Speaker 1>So Fatal Influence has arrived here officially on SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 1>the match itself, it wasn't a match, it was an angle.
<v Speaker 1>It was a means to get to the Fatal Influence arrival.
<v Speaker 1>That's all this was. I love the move. I think
<v Speaker 1>it is something that this roster in this show sorely needs,
<v Speaker 1>not just more talent, but more talent in the women's division.
<v Speaker 1>Although I could also sit here and tell you that
<v Speaker 1>part of the problem isn't necessarily the lack of women
<v Speaker 1>in the women's division. It is the lack of really
<v Speaker 1>understanding what to do with most of the women that
<v Speaker 1>they already have in the division, because you have people
<v Speaker 1>like Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss pages back now who
<v Speaker 1>are still doing stuff in the tag team division. Like
<v Speaker 1>if they were all gunning for the world champion, if
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss, if charlot at Flair wanted to go after
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley's title, which I would assume in time they will,
<v Speaker 1>that would make things a lot more interesting as it
<v Speaker 1>pertains to the WWE Women's Championship. But that's just not
<v Speaker 1>the case right now. So, like when you're thinking about
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley and her upcoming challengers, what do you think
<v Speaker 1>of I'm sure she's not done with Jade, right, Jade
<v Speaker 1>wasn't on the show tonight, but I'm sure Jade will
<v Speaker 1>get her rematch at some point. And then after that,
<v Speaker 1>who are we looking at? Tiffany Stratton just won the
<v Speaker 1>US title, Blake Monroe hasn't even debuted yet. So when
<v Speaker 1>I think of potential challengers in these next few months
<v Speaker 1>for Rihea Ripley, it's a short list. After Jade it's
<v Speaker 1>a short list. Jordan Grace. Now, Jordan Grace was also
<v Speaker 1>Jade's first feud. I mean, Jade went one hundred plus
<v Speaker 1>days without a single title defense, if you remember, her
<v Speaker 1>first defense was against Jordan, I believe, and then she lost.
<v Speaker 1>So I would hate for Jordan to be using the
<v Speaker 1>same role here where it's like, oh Riha needs an
<v Speaker 1>opponent and then she goes in there and loses again.
<v Speaker 1>But Rhea and Jordan, I mean, that has the makings
<v Speaker 1>of a very good match. I'd love to see that
<v Speaker 1>Keana James again. I think that they have big things
<v Speaker 1>in her future. I think we see names like that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, long before we get to a Charlotte or
<v Speaker 1>an Alexa. But I've always liked Fallon Henley. I actually
<v Speaker 1>thought at the time they put the belt on jac Jane.
<v Speaker 1>And the thing with Jace is, you know, you look
<v Speaker 1>at her rise to where she is now when I
<v Speaker 1>used to look at fatal influence or a toxic I
<v Speaker 1>guess Toxic Attraction was the first group that she was
<v Speaker 1>a part of. I never saw her as being like
<v Speaker 1>the world champion, right that was Mandy Rose. Mandy Rose
<v Speaker 1>was like she was the NXT women's champion, and then
<v Speaker 1>I would look at jac Jane and Jace maybe would
<v Speaker 1>be like, you know, North American Champion or something like that.
<v Speaker 1>And then they had her beat Stephanie Vicaire last year
<v Speaker 1>in shocking fashion, and I didn't get it. I got
<v Speaker 1>didn't understand it. I thought that Fallon Henley had a
<v Speaker 1>bigger upside. I don't know why they went with her
<v Speaker 1>and that Fallon they were part of the same group.
<v Speaker 1>And I came around. Eventually, I came around and jayc
<v Speaker 1>The more that I saw her work, she really leveled up.
<v Speaker 1>And I again, Sean Michaels obviously was a huge fan
<v Speaker 1>of her work. I've become more of a fan of
<v Speaker 1>her work over time, certainly compared to a year ago.
<v Speaker 1>So good for her. And now she's got the call
<v Speaker 1>and she's on SmackDown now. But I wanted Fallon Henley
<v Speaker 1>in that spot, if anybody so all that to say that,
<v Speaker 1>I also think Fallon could do big things on this show,
<v Speaker 1>and I like her now being on SmackDown. Lady Reid.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't seen enough of her to really form an opinion. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>I haven't seen too much of her work. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>she may be really good. I just I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>So I'm looking forward to seeing more of what she
<v Speaker 1>can do, not just in the ring, but even speaking
<v Speaker 1>wise on this show. So I liked the move and
<v Speaker 1>it injects some life into the division. We had Royce Keys,
<v Speaker 1>of course, he is also one of the new members
<v Speaker 1>of the SmackDown roster, and here we had a vignette
<v Speaker 1>for him. Various people from Palo Alto, which is where
<v Speaker 1>he's from, gave their thoughts on him, talked about how
<v Speaker 1>proud they were of him. His brother, I believe, was
<v Speaker 1>interviewed in here. He was also proud that, you know,
<v Speaker 1>his brother was able to make it to the top.
<v Speaker 1>And it was just one of these baby face vignettes
<v Speaker 1>where they show him, you know, kind of going back
<v Speaker 1>home and everybody's proud of him and pulling for him
<v Speaker 1>and they look up to him. So after this, we
<v Speaker 1>had the w w WEE Champion Cody Rhodes, fresh off
<v Speaker 1>his win at WrestleMania against Randy Orton. He was out
<v Speaker 1>to the ring next Black Eye and All. And he
<v Speaker 1>gets in the ring and once the music stop, he
<v Speaker 1>was showered with booze from the crowd. He said that
<v Speaker 1>he wanted to talk about how he left WRESTLEMANI of
<v Speaker 1>forty two battered, half conscious and bloodied. He still made
<v Speaker 1>the decision to walk up that long ramp at Allegiant
<v Speaker 1>Stadium to the back. Why because the moment that you
<v Speaker 1>see him take that side ramp right and go along
<v Speaker 1>the side, this run is over. Said at WrestleMania, he
<v Speaker 1>wanted to send a message to Randy Orton, who was
<v Speaker 1>not here tonight, so we didn't have Randy Orton on
<v Speaker 1>the show either. With Randy Orton who started him out
<v Speaker 1>in this sport and taught him everything he knows, he
<v Speaker 1>wanted to send a message and walking back on his
<v Speaker 1>own power that Randy Orton gave him his best shot,
<v Speaker 1>a punt to the head and he's still standing. He
<v Speaker 1>wants to send a message to a sarcastic and condescending
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zain who called him the Golden Boy. So he
<v Speaker 1>showed up to WrestleMania draped in gold from head to
<v Speaker 1>toe because he wanted to show that he was gold,
<v Speaker 1>His family was gold, every fan of his was gold.
<v Speaker 1>And the most important message he wanted to send was
<v Speaker 1>those or to those outside forces. This is what he said,
<v Speaker 1>outside forces that keep interjecting themselves into his WrestleMania plans.
<v Speaker 1>He said, you guys are zero to three. Send your
<v Speaker 1>best or count your money and mind your damn business.
<v Speaker 1>This is the first SmackDown after WrestleMania. He says, it's
<v Speaker 1>easy to find him, whether you're from NXT, from Monday
<v Speaker 1>Night Raw or from Friday Night SmackDown, wherever it may be,
<v Speaker 1>He's easy to find, hard to beat. I was hoping
<v Speaker 1>he would say hard to kill a little tribute to
<v Speaker 1>one of the better Steven Sagal movies. Not that there
<v Speaker 1>is a great Stephen Sagal movie, but of the ones
<v Speaker 1>that he's made, that would be one of them. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm wondering, you know, him mentioning it doesn't matter where
<v Speaker 1>you're from NXT Monday Night Raw SmackDown, was that meant
<v Speaker 1>to be a veiled reference, a veiled message to cm Punk,
<v Speaker 1>one would assume. So, after what we saw from the
<v Speaker 1>two of them on Raw Monday Night, he flat out
<v Speaker 1>told Punk, you named the place right, Punk's all about, Well,
<v Speaker 1>you never know what a championship opportunity may fall out
<v Speaker 1>of the sky. He said that twice on Monday, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, So what does that mean? And we were
<v Speaker 1>talking about that on TNT the other night. JD mentioned
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank and I thought, well, could be,
<v Speaker 1>could be Punk's already won money in the bank. I
<v Speaker 1>think twice money in the bank though was not until September,
<v Speaker 1>so I mean, what you know, if it was some
<v Speaker 1>sort of money in the bank reference, then I suppose
<v Speaker 1>Punk would be walking around with it until WrestleMania next year.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not so sure they wouldn't do that much at
<v Speaker 1>SummerSlam this year if they're already teasing it so hard.
<v Speaker 1>So I assume that was a not so veiled message
<v Speaker 1>to Punk. But again, as interesting as that segment was
<v Speaker 1>on Monday and seeing the two of them in the
<v Speaker 1>ring together, Punk and Cody actually closed SmackDown last week.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I wasn't here to talk about it. I
<v Speaker 1>was coming home from Las Vegas, but they ended the show.
<v Speaker 1>It was basically like a love fest between the two
<v Speaker 1>of them. I thought they were gonna embrace and start
<v Speaker 1>tonguing each other in the middle of the ring. And
<v Speaker 1>then on RAM Monday night, we had a much better
<v Speaker 1>segment and you know, far less lovey dovey between the
<v Speaker 1>two of them that strongly hinted at an upcoming match
<v Speaker 1>at some point between the two of them, And that's
<v Speaker 1>interesting because to me, that's one of the biggest matches
<v Speaker 1>that WWE can do right now. Realistically, when you think
<v Speaker 1>of what are the biggest matches that WWE can book
<v Speaker 1>right now and not including the Rock, okay because the
<v Speaker 1>Rock ain't coming back, Cody and Punk, Cody and Punk.
<v Speaker 1>You can say Roman in Oba, you could say Roman
<v Speaker 1>and Gunther, But honestly, I think Cody and Punk is
<v Speaker 1>at the top of that list. That's a match that
<v Speaker 1>hasn't been done yet to match that I think people
<v Speaker 1>would want to see, and it's an interesting match where
<v Speaker 1>you could do Babyface and Babyface and let the fans choose.
<v Speaker 1>But also like Punk is a heel in that scenario
<v Speaker 1>would be great, Cody is a heel in that scenario
<v Speaker 1>would be great. It kind of works like no matter
<v Speaker 1>which way you want to do it. So hopefully we
<v Speaker 1>get it at Summer SLIM and they don't make us
<v Speaker 1>wait until next year. Oh, I underlooked under Siege. Yeah yeah,
<v Speaker 1>well I didn't say that was the only decent movie,
<v Speaker 1>he did. You know you mentioned under Siege? How can
<v Speaker 1>you neglect under Siege too? On the Train. One of
<v Speaker 1>my favorite quotes is from that movie Assumption is the
<v Speaker 1>mother of all fuck ups. It's one of the great
<v Speaker 1>quotes from Under Siege too, and it's quite true. The
<v Speaker 1>more you assume things, the more you're likely to fuck up. Uh.
<v Speaker 1>There was no mention here of him being medically cleared
<v Speaker 1>or what his medical status was, and you could just
<v Speaker 1>look at his face. He ain't going to be wrestling
<v Speaker 1>for at least a few weeks, so I think a
<v Speaker 1>backlash match is out the window, even if they had
<v Speaker 1>an opponent lined up for him. I mean, we're going
<v Speaker 1>to get a rematch with him and Randy. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know when we're going to see Orton again, but it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't seem to me like backlash is even going to
<v Speaker 1>be possible If his eye is looking like that. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine that they are going to need it
<v Speaker 1>to even if it's nothing broken, that eye is going
<v Speaker 1>to have to clear up a little bit before he
<v Speaker 1>gets back in the ring. But yeah, there was no
<v Speaker 1>there was no medical update, There was no hint of
<v Speaker 1>when we may see him back in the ring. But
<v Speaker 1>I just wanted to say one last thing here about
<v Speaker 1>the Pat McAfee angle. We saw what they did at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>That was their way of writing off Pat McAfee. Pat
<v Speaker 1>McAfee did not want to have anything to do with
<v Speaker 1>this anymore. I don't think, honestly he wanted to have
<v Speaker 1>anything to do with this at the beginning. There were
<v Speaker 1>reports that he said no initial when they pitched it
<v Speaker 1>to him, and I don't know what they did to
<v Speaker 1>get him on board. Maybe they threw a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>money at him. But I think even he realized, based
<v Speaker 1>on the reaction, like this is a mistake. He's a
<v Speaker 1>fan and he sees all the negative reaction, and as
<v Speaker 1>much as he seemed to be sort of reveling in
<v Speaker 1>it when he was on television, I would imagine someone
<v Speaker 1>like him, who probably has a big ego and cares
<v Speaker 1>about what people say about him because he's a public figure,
<v Speaker 1>is looking at his social media every single day and
<v Speaker 1>he is just getting slaughtered on social media. And then
<v Speaker 1>you have Jelly Roll, who's a genuine fan. And jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll flat out said in his vlog that he did
<v Speaker 1>the other day he had a message for Pat McAfee said, Pat,
<v Speaker 1>I love you, brother, but like you and I, we
<v Speaker 1>really don't have any business being a part of this,
<v Speaker 1>So why don't we just stick to what we do?
<v Speaker 1>And you know what, that's a great message. And I
<v Speaker 1>think they both if you were to ask both of
<v Speaker 1>them to be as honest as possible, I think that
<v Speaker 1>they would feel the same way about what they were
<v Speaker 1>upon of as a lot of the fans did watching
<v Speaker 1>the show at home on TV or the fans on
<v Speaker 1>social media who were complaining about it. So this tag
<v Speaker 1>match that was rumored for backlash and made sense if
<v Speaker 1>you really think about it, isn't happening now because Pat
<v Speaker 1>McAfee wanted to end this as soon as possible, and
<v Speaker 1>they're just basically hitting the reset button now and we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna get the Cody and Randy feud that we should
<v Speaker 1>have gotten going into WrestleMania. There are even reports that
<v Speaker 1>they were going to put the belt on Randy and WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>The plan was to make him a fifteen time world
<v Speaker 1>champion in WrestleMania, but then when Pat pulled out, plans changed.
<v Speaker 1>They decided to go a different way with it. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why Pat pulling out would have to affect
<v Speaker 1>the outcome of that match, but I guess McAfee made
<v Speaker 1>that you know, he made that promise that if Randy
<v Speaker 1>doesn't win, you'll never see or hear from me again.
<v Speaker 1>So maybe they felt they had to have Randy lose
<v Speaker 1>the match as a way to get rid of Pat
<v Speaker 1>whatever it was. I'm glad the angle is over, but
<v Speaker 1>I think we will look back on this WrestleMania forever,
<v Speaker 1>really looking back on forty two and just saying, man,
<v Speaker 1>what could have been? What could have been with this
<v Speaker 1>story of this match going into Night one of WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>Because some of the work in the actual match, like
<v Speaker 1>down the Stretch, was actually pretty good on the whole.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't think the match was nearly as good as
<v Speaker 1>it could have been, but a lot of it again,
<v Speaker 1>like this dark cloud that just hung over it, with
<v Speaker 1>this horrendous angle. And you have Cody in this promo
<v Speaker 1>tonight referencing outside forces and you know, keep your nose
<v Speaker 1>out of my business and count your money and just
<v Speaker 1>you know, basically leave me the fuck alone. And I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if this is you know, if that verbiage
<v Speaker 1>is in that promo for a particular reason, if there's
<v Speaker 1>going to be some sort of development out of this,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure the answer is now they're just gonna move
<v Speaker 1>on from this. I wonder how much of that is
<v Speaker 1>Cody just wanting to vent his frustrations and Triple H's like, sure,
<v Speaker 1>go ahead, have at it, because you know that Cody
<v Speaker 1>is you know he's looking at all this going. Men,
<v Speaker 1>you know you fucked up my whole story here, and
<v Speaker 1>this is not the first time here going into WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>that something that should have been beautiful has been ruined.
<v Speaker 1>Like how many WrestleManias are we going to continue to
<v Speaker 1>do this? I'm sure he's legitimately as frustrated as anybody.
<v Speaker 1>How could he not be? How could he not be?
<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest and Our Truth they are the Tag Team
<v Speaker 1>Champions and they defended their titles against Tomatonga and j. C. Matteo.
<v Speaker 1>Backstage before the match, though Solo Sokoa was giving marching
<v Speaker 1>orders to the MFTs. Solo said he wants them to
<v Speaker 1>get the tech titles back, don't let the family down,
<v Speaker 1>and as the others walked off, the Great Tonga loa,
<v Speaker 1>wait until I get to the main event, We're gonna
<v Speaker 1>talk more about Togala. Tangaloa looked at Solo and asked
<v Speaker 1>him about Jacob what about Jacob, and Solo said, I'll
<v Speaker 1>take care of Jacob, don't worry about him. So Truth
<v Speaker 1>got the hot tag late in the match. He did
<v Speaker 1>the the Ron Sena spots to J C. Matteo, you
<v Speaker 1>can't see me in the five knuckle shuffle, Togaloa distracted
<v Speaker 1>the referee as Toma ran in. He hit the Truth
<v Speaker 1>with a spinning neck breaker, so they covered Truth and
<v Speaker 1>the spot was that Damian Priest would dive in at
<v Speaker 1>the last possible second to break it up. He was
<v Speaker 1>a little late, so it looked like shit. Priest blind
<v Speaker 1>tagged into the match, though he and Truth hit their
<v Speaker 1>rise up Flapjack finish to retain the titles in a
<v Speaker 1>boring match. This tag team division is dead D E
<v Speaker 1>A D dead dead. No wonder they're releasing tag teams.
<v Speaker 1>They'n I'm planning on doing anything with them. They have
<v Speaker 1>a dead division. They don't give a shit, they don't
<v Speaker 1>don't care. It's not much better on Monday Night Row.
<v Speaker 1>At least we got the Street Profits back on Monday.
<v Speaker 1>We haven't seen them in months. But it's not much
<v Speaker 1>better on Monday. It's worse. On Friday, though, we got
<v Speaker 1>Part two from the Missus mansion after this is after
<v Speaker 1>he fell in the pool. Earlier, Mis was in his house.
<v Speaker 1>He was playing, or Dan Housen was actually in the house.
<v Speaker 1>He was playing Missus's virtual golf game. It's like he
<v Speaker 1>has like a giant screen and it is like it's
<v Speaker 1>clearly a game and he's golfing, and I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what it is. I don't know if that's a wee
<v Speaker 1>game or what the fuck that is some sort of
<v Speaker 1>golfing simulation. And so Mis walks into the house and
<v Speaker 1>just asking him what he's doing. And anyway, he ends
<v Speaker 1>up grabbing missus Slammy because he sees he's got a
<v Speaker 1>trophy case with belts and there's a Slammy Award. So
<v Speaker 1>he snatches the Slammy Award. The base of the award
<v Speaker 1>that black bass, it goes flying off of it. He
<v Speaker 1>goes to leave. He's gonna leave with the Slammy Award,
<v Speaker 1>and he opens the front door and he walks out,
<v Speaker 1>and he runs into Maurice, who is not very happy
<v Speaker 1>about seeing Dan house, especially coming out of her house.
<v Speaker 1>So she's not happy about this. Miss comes running out
<v Speaker 1>with a bowl of I couldn't tell if it what
<v Speaker 1>was it cinnamon? It looked like a bowl of cinnamon.
<v Speaker 1>I think, I don't know, something brown It wasn't shit.
<v Speaker 1>SOMs threw it and Dan house induct and of course
<v Speaker 1>Mis hit his poor wife in the face with this substance.
<v Speaker 1>And Dan Housen ends up on a bicycle, a small
<v Speaker 1>child's bicycle. It was their daughter's bicycle, and he's got
<v Speaker 1>the Slammy Award with him and he starts riding the
<v Speaker 1>bike away, and they cut back to Miss and Maurice,
<v Speaker 1>and Maurice is covered in brown shit, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>Miss is muttering to himself, and then they cut back
<v Speaker 1>and the the bike now is kind of off in
<v Speaker 1>the distance as Dan Housen is riding it away through
<v Speaker 1>the neighborhood. I thought it was really funny. Look, I
<v Speaker 1>enjoyed these segments. I think we need more segments like this.
<v Speaker 1>They don't all have to be with Dan Housen, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, but I like shit like this, like when
<v Speaker 1>it's done the right way and it's not like overly terrible.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's nice to break up the monotony and
<v Speaker 1>have segments like this outside of the arena, outside the ring.
<v Speaker 1>So I got a kick out of this look. Dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen is perfect for this type of stuff, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>not surprised that Fanatics apparently was blown away by the
<v Speaker 1>kind of business that Dan Housen did merchwise over Wrestle
<v Speaker 1>many a week. I'm not shocked by that at all.
<v Speaker 1>And because of that, you're gonna see even more Dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen on these shows. They're gonna run this fucking guy
<v Speaker 1>into the ground, But for now, I still get a
<v Speaker 1>kick out of his act. We weren't done with him,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, when I tell you that we're going
<v Speaker 1>to see more Dan Housen on these shows. He's cross branded.
<v Speaker 1>Don't be surprised if he pops up from time to
<v Speaker 1>time in NXT, but he's on Raw, he's on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>So we already had two segments, two pre taped segments
<v Speaker 1>with him on this show. We weren't done with him
<v Speaker 1>yet because he had a match later against the Miz.
<v Speaker 1>We'll get to that. But this next segment, we had
<v Speaker 1>the brand new Men's United States Champion, because we have
<v Speaker 1>two new US champions now, we had Trick Williams, who
<v Speaker 1>still has Lil YACHTI with him, and they make their
<v Speaker 1>way out to the ring, with the gingerbread man. The
<v Speaker 1>guy in the gingerbread costume was back, and so they
<v Speaker 1>make their way to the ring. They're going to celebrate
<v Speaker 1>a very successful WrestleMania. Ring was all decked out with
<v Speaker 1>balloons and they had champagne in the ring. So Lil
<v Speaker 1>Yachti talked about how the WrestleMania celebrity promo tour is
<v Speaker 1>now over, but he's still here because he's here to stay.
<v Speaker 1>Trick and YACHTI they talked about how they were like
<v Speaker 1>and they were going back and forth here, but they
<v Speaker 1>were like Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. They're like Mike
<v Speaker 1>Tyson and Don King. They're like Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson,
<v Speaker 1>Abbott and Costello, Beavis and Butthead. They didn't mention those.
<v Speaker 1>Yati called himself the prophecy. I don't think you'll if
<v Speaker 1>Lily Yachti ever saw a single Abbit and Costello movie,
<v Speaker 1>I would be stunned. I think if he actually saw
<v Speaker 1>any of the early Beavis and Butthead episodes, I would
<v Speaker 1>be stunned. How old is Lily Yachtie in his twenties thirties?
<v Speaker 1>Can you picture Lily Yatti sitting at home watching it
<v Speaker 1>like Abbit and Costello hold that ghost. I'd become a
<v Speaker 1>big fan of his if he did. I love Abbot
<v Speaker 1>and Costello. Anyway, Yady called himself the prophecy, and he
<v Speaker 1>said that there would be no more US Title Open Challenges.
<v Speaker 1>Is they're not giving out title matches for free anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Rocky and Bullwinkle, Sigfried and Roy Ren and Stimpy, Penn
<v Speaker 1>and Teller, Penn and Teller, Oh, Keenan and Kell. I
<v Speaker 1>like Kenan and Kel. I used to watch that from
<v Speaker 1>time to time. So anyway, look, I said this months ago.
<v Speaker 1>I said, we had Sammy's Aim with the US Title
<v Speaker 1>Open Challenges. We had Ilia Dragonov with the US Title
<v Speaker 1>Open Challenges. Then we had Carmelo Hayes, who was nowhere
<v Speaker 1>to be found on this show tonight. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>uh he continued the US Title Open Challenges. When Trick
<v Speaker 1>Williams won the belt or any heel, that's when you
<v Speaker 1>stop doing the Open and the Open challenges. Giming had
<v Speaker 1>to stop at some point. So it made sense to
<v Speaker 1>stop it when a heel, even though he's not really
<v Speaker 1>being you know, treated by the fans like one. But
<v Speaker 1>it made sense that now would be the right time
<v Speaker 1>to put the kaibash on that they will be missed. Though.
<v Speaker 1>I will tell you that those US title open challenges
<v Speaker 1>were propping up this show something fierce, and the fact
<v Speaker 1>that we're not gonna have those anymore, they're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>to step up their game. There's gonna have to be,
<v Speaker 1>you know, from time to time, week to week, you've
<v Speaker 1>got to give us on a three hour wrestling show,
<v Speaker 1>some action that we can look at. And I'm not
<v Speaker 1>just talking some seven minute, fucking average throwaway bullshit match
<v Speaker 1>with interference or fucking DQ at the end, or the
<v Speaker 1>same shit that we see every single week. You know,
<v Speaker 1>this person's gonna get involved and we're gonna go to
<v Speaker 1>a commercial and so we're gonna do a dive and
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna come back and it's gonna be the same
<v Speaker 1>fucking boring match and nothing happens. Okay, that shit gets old.
<v Speaker 1>You have three hours of this show every single week,
<v Speaker 1>so sure, from time to time you're gonna have a
<v Speaker 1>match or a segment that doesn't go very long, or
<v Speaker 1>it has some sort of fuck finish of some kind
<v Speaker 1>where you're gonna do a Dan Hown type skit. That's
<v Speaker 1>fine to have variety on these shows, but you need
<v Speaker 1>to have strong wrestling as well. It is still at
<v Speaker 1>its core a wrestling show. There is a ring, you
<v Speaker 1>have wrestlers, you have a referee, you ring the bell.
<v Speaker 1>We need to have some quality matches on this show,
<v Speaker 1>and those US title open challenges were guaranteed, guaranteed greg
<v Speaker 1>wrestling on the show every single week. We can have
<v Speaker 1>two and a half hours of shit and I could
<v Speaker 1>be like Man Carmelo Hayes though Man Carmelo Hayes and
<v Speaker 1>Ray Phoenix, they had a fucking banger on the show. Man,
<v Speaker 1>you got to go out of your way to watch
<v Speaker 1>that match. Now we're not even gonna have that. So
<v Speaker 1>I hope they allow other people on the show to
<v Speaker 1>step up and at least fill the void, because that
<v Speaker 1>easily was one of the strongest things on the show
<v Speaker 1>every single week. You have now taken that away. What
<v Speaker 1>is going to replace that? And don't tell me more
<v Speaker 1>MFTs or I'm going to bang my head against the wall.
<v Speaker 1>Trick said that if you want a handout, find a clinic.
<v Speaker 1>No more open challenges. He said, if you want to
<v Speaker 1>find the chant, you find Trick Williams. So he's celebrating
<v Speaker 1>and little YACHTI is celebrating, and the guy in the
<v Speaker 1>gingerbread costume is celebrating, and all of a sudden, the
<v Speaker 1>guy in the gingerbread Man costume hits Trick from behind
<v Speaker 1>with his cane. Come to think of it, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why he had a cane, not like he's not
<v Speaker 1>fucking mister peanut. Why did he have a cane? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, but I guess the gingerbread Man was a pimp.
<v Speaker 1>So he hits Trick in the back with the cane,
<v Speaker 1>and then he hits Yati as well. Yaty gets hit
<v Speaker 1>with the cane, and sure enough, off comes the head
<v Speaker 1>and it's Sammy's ain't in the gingerbread costume, and the
<v Speaker 1>fans boo Even on commentary, like Joe Tessitour was kind
<v Speaker 1>of like the tone of his voice. He's talking about
<v Speaker 1>Sammy like he had done something wrong here. He was
<v Speaker 1>kind of treating him like the heel in this situation,
<v Speaker 1>even though he really did he really didn't do anything wrong.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, the fans were just raining booze at and
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's looking at them like what, like I didn't do
<v Speaker 1>anything wrong? And then he starts dancing and stuff. So
<v Speaker 1>they're going to continue this, which I figured they would,
<v Speaker 1>and that would seem to be a prime candidate for
<v Speaker 1>a match of Backlash. Backlash usually has some WrestleMania rematches
<v Speaker 1>live in Stephanie being one. This could be another one.
<v Speaker 1>But I thought, you know, as far as the segment,
<v Speaker 1>and again he ended by giving Trick a halluva kick,
<v Speaker 1>which a testitur called the gingerbread kick. I thought that
<v Speaker 1>this was this was fine for what it was supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be. I was amused by this. Again. The fans
<v Speaker 1>are the ones who are dictating this double turn. They're
<v Speaker 1>booing Sammy, they like Trick. There isn't much the WWE
<v Speaker 1>really needs to do other than just lean into it.
<v Speaker 1>So in the back Solo Socoa yet again tried to
<v Speaker 1>recruit Royce Keys as he was being interviewed about his
<v Speaker 1>Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal win on the show
<v Speaker 1>last week. You know, he eliminated Talatonga to win that
<v Speaker 1>Battle Royal. That may end up being the last time
<v Speaker 1>we see Talatonga on these shows. But Solo comes in,
<v Speaker 1>he's trying to recruit him, and I'm just thinking, man,
<v Speaker 1>run run as fast as you fucking run as fast
<v Speaker 1>as your feet will carry you away from this man.
<v Speaker 1>Do not want to be drawn into the MFT vortex.
<v Speaker 1>But then we had dan Hausen against miss Housen. Dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen drove to the ring in his coffin shaped I
<v Speaker 1>guess the coffin mobile. What else do you even call
<v Speaker 1>this thing? I don't even know what this thing would
<v Speaker 1>be called. And he had Missus Slammy with him, So
<v Speaker 1>he drove down to the ring and he circled the ring.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, on the Slammy Award, he had a
<v Speaker 1>piece of paper with his name taped to it, right
<v Speaker 1>above Slammy. It said dan Hausen. I also could have
<v Speaker 1>tell me if I'm wrong. By the way, when he
<v Speaker 1>rode that car down to the ring, was there a
<v Speaker 1>fan in the front row, like right in the corner
<v Speaker 1>by the aisle who threw money into the car? Did
<v Speaker 1>I see that right? Did that person throw money into
<v Speaker 1>the car? So Kit Wilson was in Missus corner for
<v Speaker 1>this match, and Wilson grabbed Missus Slammy, which was sitting
<v Speaker 1>on top of the car. Dan Housen caught Miz with
<v Speaker 1>a crossbody and a diving hurrican rona. The announcers were
<v Speaker 1>stunned by this that he even knew that move. Wilson
<v Speaker 1>got up on the apron for the distraction that allowed
<v Speaker 1>Miz to attack dan Hausen. She did, okay, I see
<v Speaker 1>there was a fan who threw money at Dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>threw money into the car like he's like he's a
<v Speaker 1>whore or something like he's pouring himself out, Like what
<v Speaker 1>are you doing here? Oh man, guy must be doing
<v Speaker 1>something right. He's got fans literally throwing money at him.
<v Speaker 1>So where was I Dan Housen got taken out by Miz.
<v Speaker 1>So Miz and Kit Wilson are on the apron and
<v Speaker 1>they're celebrating. They got their backs turned and the camera
<v Speaker 1>is focused on Dan Housen, who's laid out flat. And
<v Speaker 1>now he does the undertaker zombie sit up and he's
<v Speaker 1>going to put a curse on these two and he goes,
<v Speaker 1>you are cursed, and when he does it, the sparks fly.
<v Speaker 1>I got that spark Pyro. The sparks fly right where
<v Speaker 1>Miz and Kit Wilson are standing. It knocks Wilson down,
<v Speaker 1>and it knocks Mis backwards, and Dan Housen rolls up
<v Speaker 1>Miz for the win. Not even two minutes into this match,
<v Speaker 1>so they kept it short. It did not need to
<v Speaker 1>be longer than this. They kept it brief. And so
<v Speaker 1>dan Housen is celebrating in the ring when the match
<v Speaker 1>is over, and Mis recovers and they end up face
<v Speaker 1>to face, and dan Housen's like, oh shit, and then
<v Speaker 1>we see the big puff of smoke and I guess
<v Speaker 1>he forgets to run away. He goes, oh shit, and
<v Speaker 1>he turns around and he leaves and Miz chases after him,
<v Speaker 1>and he ends up crawling under the ring. So Mis
<v Speaker 1>goes after him and dan Housen comes out on the
<v Speaker 1>other side. He leaps over kit Wilson. Here comes Miz
<v Speaker 1>who bumps into kit Wilson and they do like a
<v Speaker 1>double pratfall, and dan Hausen he left his slammy sitting
<v Speaker 1>on the steps by the way, but he jumped into
<v Speaker 1>the dan Housen mobile, the coffin car, and he drives
<v Speaker 1>to the back and this was all very silly. But again,
<v Speaker 1>for the most part, I'm enjoying the Dan Housen stuff.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't take up too much time on the show,
<v Speaker 1>although he did get three segments tonight, But the vignettes
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed I just wish the rest of the show
<v Speaker 1>was really strong, and then I feel like I would
<v Speaker 1>enjoy this even more. The fact that like this is
<v Speaker 1>taking up time on a show where there really isn't
<v Speaker 1>a whole lot else going on, that's terribly interesting. That's
<v Speaker 1>the problem. I don't have a problem with the silliness,
<v Speaker 1>but when the silliness is like all that you have,
<v Speaker 1>then there's a problem. That's the issue with SmackDown right now.
<v Speaker 1>This week's episode is sponsored by WIS. You know, we
<v Speaker 1>hear a lot about AI these days. It's the hot topic,
<v Speaker 1>and I to most of it out honestly, But I
<v Speaker 1>gotta tell you, WIS has found a very cool way

<v Speaker 1>We got a Blake Monroe vignette confirming that she is
<v Speaker 1>on her way to the main roster. The glamour is
<v Speaker 1>coming soon now, they didn't say coming to SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 1>the fact that this aired on SmackDown will lead you
<v Speaker 1>to believe that she's going to SmackDown. I'm gonna wait
<v Speaker 1>until Monday and see if they air this on Monday
<v Speaker 1>because it could be one of those things where they're
<v Speaker 1>gonna air these on both shows and then decide which
<v Speaker 1>brand they want her on. So it looks like it'll
<v Speaker 1>be SmackDown, but that's not that's not confirmed yet. I'm
<v Speaker 1>guessing she ends up on SmackDown, though again, SmackDown SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>can use her. SmackDown, could definitely use her. She should
<v Speaker 1>have been up on the main roster a long time ago.
<v Speaker 1>She's more than ready. We have the brand new WWE
<v Speaker 1>Women's Champion, Ria Ripley, who was out to the ring
<v Speaker 1>for her promo. No eo Sky. She's without her BFF,
<v Speaker 1>she's all by Herselfish is her oose. And she comes
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring and she talked about how you
<v Speaker 1>know mommy is champion again. She said WrestleMania, Jake Cargill
<v Speaker 1>proved that she can go. She said, though it's her
<v Speaker 1>time now to prove that she is a fighting champion.
<v Speaker 1>She said, anybody in the back who wants to step up,
<v Speaker 1>come on down. And that brought out Fatal Influence, who
<v Speaker 1>made their debut earlier in the night, Jacy Jane Fallon,
<v Speaker 1>Henley Laney Reid. I think Joe Tessitura might have called
<v Speaker 1>her Laney Red at one point. So the crowd, let's
<v Speaker 1>talk about this crowd here. Jayce starts cutting this promo.
<v Speaker 1>She says, we get it, we get it. Ria, You're
<v Speaker 1>a star. As she begins speaking, the booze are completely
<v Speaker 1>drowning out this woman on the mic. The booze are overwhelmed.
<v Speaker 1>We talk about booze. Okay, I'm not talking I'm not
<v Speaker 1>talking about like Rick Flair, but we talk about booze
<v Speaker 1>and like Dominic mysterio nuclear heat when he was still
<v Speaker 1>getting like the peak of that nuclear heat on these shows,
<v Speaker 1>That's what this woman was getting. It was so loud,
<v Speaker 1>and so I tweeted, I said, holy shit, jac Jane
<v Speaker 1>is getting nuclear heat on this show. And then the
<v Speaker 1>longer the segment went, and then some of the other
<v Speaker 1>members spoke. Fallon spoke and she got a ton of heat,
<v Speaker 1>and then Laney spoke and she got a ton of heat.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm looking at the fans in the first three
<v Speaker 1>or four rows and they're not really they're not really
<v Speaker 1>saying anything, they're not reacting, they're not doing much of anything.
<v Speaker 1>And now I'm listening to how loud I'm like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>now I don't doubt that they were. And I had
<v Speaker 1>people who tweeted me when I said that, They're like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm in the building. I'm telling you, like, it's really
<v Speaker 1>loud in here. Yes it's loud. Of course it's loud.
<v Speaker 1>We could hear it, but like, how much of it
<v Speaker 1>was genuine heat, and how much of it was them,
<v Speaker 1>you know, kind of sweetening the crowd up a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>There was definitely a mix of both going on there,
<v Speaker 1>so I would like to think that they were genuinely
<v Speaker 1>getting that level of heat, but it didn't carry over
<v Speaker 1>into the match because the majority of the match didn't
<v Speaker 1>have a whole lot of heat at all. I think
<v Speaker 1>they were definitely cranking it up a bit, but even still, like,
<v Speaker 1>it's great to see them getting a reaction, even if
<v Speaker 1>it's close to that right out of the gate, right
<v Speaker 1>on their first night, So that was cool. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Jace cut the majority of this promo. It was hard
<v Speaker 1>to hear what some of them were saying because it
<v Speaker 1>was so loud. Rhea said, the boy I thought Jade
<v Speaker 1>was cocky. She said, I'm used to being on the
<v Speaker 1>wrong side of the numbers game, but if you are
<v Speaker 1>down for a fight, I'm ready. So jac said Fatal
<v Speaker 1>Influence is always ready to throw hands, and that brought
<v Speaker 1>out Nick all this and he said that he was
<v Speaker 1>thinking of a punishment for Fatal Influence for what they
<v Speaker 1>did earlier in the show, and she's standing in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and so he booked Rhea Ripley against j C. Jane
<v Speaker 1>right now, and that is match number three Imprompt two.
<v Speaker 1>On this show, we had an Imprompt two main event.
<v Speaker 1>We had an imprompt TUO women's tag team match tag
<v Speaker 1>team title match earlier in the show, and now we
<v Speaker 1>had an Impromp two match here with Rhea and with jac.
<v Speaker 1>So again, what does Nickoll this do over the course
<v Speaker 1>of his week other than have fun with Mickey James?
<v Speaker 1>What else does this man do? We need a day
<v Speaker 1>in the life of Nicol. We need a vlog to
<v Speaker 1>follow around Nickoll. He's on the golf course, probably right
<v Speaker 1>with his nine iron hitting holes. What does this guy
<v Speaker 1>do on a day to day basis? Get a three
<v Speaker 1>hour show to book? What was he planning on putting
<v Speaker 1>out there? Of these mas matches were not made on
<v Speaker 1>the spot, like one, I can understand three of them.
<v Speaker 1>So they went to a commercial at that point. And again,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I'm watching this match and people love Ria Ripley,
<v Speaker 1>but it really struck me as I'm watching this, because
<v Speaker 1>it got real quiet, you know, during certain points of this,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, if the crowd really hated jac Jane
<v Speaker 1>that much, you would think some of that heat would
<v Speaker 1>carry over into some of the stuff she was doing
<v Speaker 1>in the match, and that really wasn't the case here.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, we got soul Ruka making her ROD
<v Speaker 1>debut on Monday and her first night in She's wrestling
<v Speaker 1>the Women's World Champion Live Morgan and so Here on
<v Speaker 1>this show. Jac Jane in her first night in getting
<v Speaker 1>a non title match against the champion, Riha Ripley. So
<v Speaker 1>they ended up outside the ring. Ria got JC up
<v Speaker 1>in an electric chair position, slammed her down face first
<v Speaker 1>on the apron fallon and Laney. They distracted Rhea that
<v Speaker 1>allowed jac to hit Ria with a PK. Later on,
<v Speaker 1>Jace crouched Ria on top. Ria fought out. She hit
<v Speaker 1>Jaz with the cheeky Nandos kick, and Ria hit JAC
<v Speaker 1>with a razor's edge. She went for riptide fallon. Henley
<v Speaker 1>ran in clip Ria with a chop block for the disqualification,
<v Speaker 1>and Henley and Reid they held Ria. They were allowing
<v Speaker 1>j C to hit Ria with her rolling encore discus elbow.
<v Speaker 1>The disqualification was to be expected here. I'm actually glad
<v Speaker 1>that they did something like that instead of just beating,
<v Speaker 1>which is what they did on Monday. I mean, they
<v Speaker 1>beat soul Ruka, but they blamed it on Zaria, you know,
<v Speaker 1>for getting involved, but she still got hit with oblivion
<v Speaker 1>and pinned. So you could have done that here where
<v Speaker 1>she just took a riptide and got pinned. But why
<v Speaker 1>why beat jac that way in her first night in
<v Speaker 1>former NXT Women's Champion, Like, why would you do that?
<v Speaker 1>So I expected the DQ otherwise here. I mean, as
<v Speaker 1>far as the match, it was pretty standard fair. I'm
<v Speaker 1>happy they sent Fatal Influence back out there though, instead
<v Speaker 1>of just having them do that quick running and then
<v Speaker 1>that's it until next week. I like the fact that
<v Speaker 1>they sent them back out there, so they got multiple
<v Speaker 1>segments on the show, and even though it was hard
<v Speaker 1>to hear what some of them were saying, they you know,
<v Speaker 1>in their promos, they were able to sort of establish
<v Speaker 1>like I'm j C. Jaye, this is Laney Reid, and
<v Speaker 1>this is Fallon Henley and this is why we're here.
<v Speaker 1>So to get that promo time, you know, and send
<v Speaker 1>them back out there, I thought was important. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad finally see them on the main roster. It's
<v Speaker 1>about time. So Jacob fought too. He was warming up
<v Speaker 1>in the back when Jimmy and Jay approached and Jimmy
<v Speaker 1>said they're going to have his back tonight to counter
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs, and Jacob was very clear with them. He
<v Speaker 1>said I don't need your help, and off he went
<v Speaker 1>for the main event. But first we have to go
<v Speaker 1>elsewhere in the back where Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss,
<v Speaker 1>they were in the trainer's room. They had ice packs.
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley showed up, was looking all beat up and
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte was staring at her. She looked at Charlotte and said,
<v Speaker 1>do we have a problem. So Alexi said, yeah, fatal influence.
<v Speaker 1>She's trying to calm things down. Charlotte said I'll take
<v Speaker 1>care of Jace by myself next week, unlike Ria, and
<v Speaker 1>she walked off. And then Alexa told Ria, don't worry.
<v Speaker 1>That's just how she is. So right out of the gate,
<v Speaker 1>they're putting jac Jane in the ring with some heavy
<v Speaker 1>hitters on this show. Ria Ripley tonight, Charlotte Flair next week.
<v Speaker 1>It's a good sign for Jace. Then we got the
<v Speaker 1>Ricky Saints teaser video and the announcement that he will
<v Speaker 1>be making his SmackDown debut next Friday. They're going to
<v Speaker 1>be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so he will be making his
<v Speaker 1>Blue brand debut. I'm sorry I won't be here for it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to be in Los Angeles next week. I
<v Speaker 1>won't be in Tulsa. I'll be in LA for House
<v Speaker 1>of Glory. So I will not be here for Smack Them.
<v Speaker 1>But Solo, Soko will always be here for you. He
<v Speaker 1>was in the main event tonight. He was taken on
<v Speaker 1>Jacob Fatu so the MFTs. They attacked on the outside
<v Speaker 1>with the referee distracted the ussos all of a sudden
<v Speaker 1>walked out on stage and they stayed there. They were
<v Speaker 1>going to observe from a distance, even though Fatu warned them,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need you, don't come out here. So Solo
<v Speaker 1>was in control heading into the final commercial break. Solo,
<v Speaker 1>coming out of the break, he delivered a release an
<v Speaker 1>overhead released German suplex, and Jacob took this bump where
<v Speaker 1>he just landed flat on his stomach and the usos
<v Speaker 1>were still watching on from the stage. J C. Matteo
<v Speaker 1>again distracted the referee, which allowed Solo to get a
<v Speaker 1>roll up for a near fall. This was basically a
<v Speaker 1>handicap match here, so Fatu dove through the ropes he
<v Speaker 1>wiped all three members of the MFTs out. Back inside
<v Speaker 1>there was a yeurinagi by Solo and then he heads
<v Speaker 1>up top big splash cannects. Fatu though gets the sh
<v Speaker 1>older up at the last second, so he goes for
<v Speaker 1>the Samoan spike and the Samoan spike misses. Pop up
<v Speaker 1>Samoan drop by Fa Tou puts him down. He sets
<v Speaker 1>them in position for the Mighty Moon salt and Fa
<v Speaker 1>Tu gets the three counts. But then the MFTs pounds
<v Speaker 1>when the match is over, and the USO's they're not
<v Speaker 1>lifting a finger to help you know, they're watching this
<v Speaker 1>all play out, and the usos are are still standing
<v Speaker 1>over there on stage. But Tangaloa, he puts a chair
<v Speaker 1>in the ring. I think he put multiple chairs in
<v Speaker 1>the ring, and I something happened here, I forgot. I think,
<v Speaker 1>what so Tangaloa. Something happened with a chair here. I
<v Speaker 1>think Tangaloa maybe hit himself with it. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>was something. I was paying more attention to what happened
<v Speaker 1>after this, but I think something happened here with Tangaloa
<v Speaker 1>that was kind of funny. But puts the chair in
<v Speaker 1>the ring Now the ussos are making their way down
<v Speaker 1>to ring side. They're in no great rush, but they're
<v Speaker 1>making their way down to the ring. But before they
<v Speaker 1>can actually get into the ring, they get up on
<v Speaker 1>the apron. But Fatu he has now taking possession of
<v Speaker 1>one of the chairs and he is wearing out the
<v Speaker 1>MFTs with his chair. He's making his own comeback. He
<v Speaker 1>doesn't need them, so he puts a chair around jac
<v Speaker 1>Matteo's neck in the corner, puts another chair around Tomatanga's
<v Speaker 1>neck in the corner, and you know, he doles out
<v Speaker 1>running hip attacks on both men. Suicide dive takes out
<v Speaker 1>Togaloa and Jacob strips the lid off of the announced
<v Speaker 1>desk and he places Togaloa on top of the announced desk.
<v Speaker 1>The idea is that Jacob Fatu is going to climb
<v Speaker 1>up on the timekeeper's barricade and he's going to do
<v Speaker 1>a splash off the barricade through the table. But too Toangaloa,
<v Speaker 1>he fell, He rolled off the table and fell on
<v Speaker 1>the floor. Poor Tongala. So Jacob had to climb back
<v Speaker 1>down and grab him and put him back on the table,
<v Speaker 1>and then he climbed up on the barricade and then
<v Speaker 1>he hit a splash through the table. See, it wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be it wouldn't be a segment here without a tongaloa moment.
<v Speaker 1>I hope this man never gets released. How could it
<v Speaker 1>be the comic value that you get out of this man.
<v Speaker 1>I hope he is employed there forever. I hope he
<v Speaker 1>signs a twenty five year contract, a no cut clause
<v Speaker 1>in his contract. It's just there forever, right on into
<v Speaker 1>the Hall of Fame induction. That's my hope. So with
<v Speaker 1>the ussos on the apron, Jacob gets back in the
<v Speaker 1>ring and he's looking at them and he tells them,
<v Speaker 1>tell Roman He'll see their asses on Monday Night Raw.
<v Speaker 1>And that is how the show went off the air.
<v Speaker 1>You know the way the MFTs are booked on these
<v Speaker 1>shows outside of Solo Socoa. It wouldn't shock me all
<v Speaker 1>if you know they were on the bubble too. I'd
<v Speaker 1>be a little worried if I were the likes of
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs on this show. Yeah. The match, really, like
<v Speaker 1>every other match on this show, like every other match
<v Speaker 1>on these shows, was perfectly solid, nothing more, nothing less.
<v Speaker 1>At least we got a clean winner, right, There was
<v Speaker 1>no dq bullshit finish here at the end, Jacob got
<v Speaker 1>to win, as you should. If he's going to be
<v Speaker 1>wrestling Roman reigns, right, shouldn't be losing to Solo Socoa again.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if Jacob is going to raw full
<v Speaker 1>time or if it's just a temporary thing until they
<v Speaker 1>do the match at Backlash and then he reverts back
<v Speaker 1>to SmackDown. They haven't really articulated that one way or
<v Speaker 1>the other because I don't think he's beating Roman, so
<v Speaker 1>I mean, we'll find out in short order exactly where
<v Speaker 1>he's going to land. It just you know, everything is
<v Speaker 1>a mess right now, Guys bouncing back and forth, and
<v Speaker 1>it's like it doesn't even feel like any of this matters,
<v Speaker 1>you know what I mean, Like people just show up
<v Speaker 1>wherever they want to, whenever they want to. The general
<v Speaker 1>managers have no issue with it. I mean, they don't
<v Speaker 1>do a draft anymore, which is good because I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to see one. But the fact that they don't
<v Speaker 1>bother doing one anymore probably tells you everything you need
<v Speaker 1>to know about the sanctity of this brand split. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think there is one anymore, Like officially, there really
<v Speaker 1>is none, right They try to keep a lot of
<v Speaker 1>the people on these rosters segregated where they really do
<v Speaker 1>only appear on one show or the other. But there's
<v Speaker 1>just this unspoken thing where it's like, Okay, yeah, you're
<v Speaker 1>kind of on Raw, you're kind of on SmackDown, but like, honestly,
<v Speaker 1>it don't matter. People can cross borders and go back
<v Speaker 1>and forth, right I mean, there's just there's no real
<v Speaker 1>rhyme or reason to it. The Ussos have family on
<v Speaker 1>this show, so they're just going to show up on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown one week. We have people that are on SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>who will go to Raw and challenge for a Raw title.
<v Speaker 1>We have people on Raw that will go to smack
<v Speaker 1>Down a challenge for a SmackDown title from time to time.
<v Speaker 1>It makes no sense. So everything just feels like a
<v Speaker 1>mess right now. This was not a great show by
<v Speaker 1>any means, but it had its moments, the call ups. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>I mean that's the best part right now, because this
<v Speaker 1>show could use him. Something has to change, I said earlier,
<v Speaker 1>like hit the reset button. They kind of are you know,
<v Speaker 1>we have Roman and Ria as champions again. I know
<v Speaker 1>that sounds like old hat, but like Ria hasn't been
<v Speaker 1>a single champion in a while. Roman, who is going
<v Speaker 1>to be around at least through the summer. He has
<v Speaker 1>not been championed for a while, so they went back
<v Speaker 1>to them Tiffany Stratton, who also was a world champion
<v Speaker 1>but has not really done anything in six months, it
<v Speaker 1>feels like, and so she's now the United States champion.
<v Speaker 1>And now we have, you know, the new NXT faces
<v Speaker 1>that are being called up. So it feels like we're
<v Speaker 1>in the middle of a little bit of a reset
<v Speaker 1>on these shows, which is good. I just hope it's
<v Speaker 1>a case where they help the show and not a
<v Speaker 1>case where the show actually brings them down, which would
<v Speaker 1>be very possible, because SmackDown is a terrible show. SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>is an awful television show, and I hope that changes.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not talking about one great SmackDown and then three
<v Speaker 1>terrible ones. It's going to take a herculean effort with
<v Speaker 1>these people who write these shows to get smacked Down
<v Speaker 1>to a place where we can kind of consistently look
<v Speaker 1>at it every week and not be like, oh God,
<v Speaker 1>what are they going to do this week? Like I
<v Speaker 1>want them to get to a place where it's like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown's really gotten back together in the last like six weeks,
<v Speaker 1>and so I don't worry as much about it anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Right we're not there right now, but that's my hope.
<v Speaker 1>And what I don't want are people to be called
<v Speaker 1>up who were doing stuff in NXT and they come
<v Speaker 1>to SmackDown and now it kind of like drags them
<v Speaker 1>down into the abyss and it actually hurts them more
<v Speaker 1>than it helps them. I want them to enhance the
<v Speaker 1>show and bring the show up. That's my hope for
<v Speaker 1>Fatal Influence. That's my hope for Royce Keys, That's my
<v Speaker 1>hope for Ricky Saints, is that they can really help
<v Speaker 1>elevate this show to a level that it has not
<v Speaker 1>been at for a very long time. I think that's
<v Speaker 1>the best anybody can hope for. But not a great
<v Speaker 1>day for ww A considering all the people who unfortunately
<v Speaker 1>lost their jobs today. Take a look at your super Chats.
<v Speaker 1>There you go. That's it. A new cast of characters,
<v Speaker 1>some new stories, no more Lantern Joseph Stewart, I hope
<v Speaker 1>you're having a great Friday night. Happy Friday to you, brother.
<v Speaker 1>I did not see the Michael Jackson movie. He says,
<v Speaker 1>he saw it and it was really good. I'm seeing
<v Speaker 1>mixed reviews on it. I have no plans on seeing
<v Speaker 1>interest in seeing it. I love Michael's music. I think
<v Speaker 1>he's one of the greatest artists of all time. I
<v Speaker 1>just have no interest in seeing the movie. But I
<v Speaker 1>believe there's a second one, right, it's like two parts.
<v Speaker 1>I think there's a second one coming out. Can't you
<v Speaker 1>can't fit everything in one movie and give it ample
<v Speaker 1>time to really explore every angle of his life. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't think. He says, what are your thoughts on the
<v Speaker 1>recent comments by Rick Flair. I'll have a lot more
<v Speaker 1>to say about that on Sunday on the sound up.
<v Speaker 1>Flair was on Ariel Helwani show on Wednesday. I was there.
<v Speaker 1>I was there. I actually had the chance to finally
<v Speaker 1>meet with Ariel face to face. I've been doing the show,
<v Speaker 1>you know, since February. But I met him and the
<v Speaker 1>team and everything. It just so happened. I came in
<v Speaker 1>that day and got the grand tour and I sat
<v Speaker 1>in in the control room. I had no idea, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, until I got there, that Rick Flair was
<v Speaker 1>on the show that day. I said, oh, okay, and
<v Speaker 1>so I sat in the control room and I got
<v Speaker 1>to watch the entire interview along with everybody else. It
<v Speaker 1>was a very interesting experience. But yeah, we'll talk about
<v Speaker 1>that on Sunday. And he says, happy birthday to Barber
<v Speaker 1>Streisand have you seen the first look of the Netflix
<v Speaker 1>live action Scooby Doo? No, I have not. Did you
<v Speaker 1>see the photo of Jack Nicholson online celebrating his eighty
<v Speaker 1>ninth birthday? I did not, But happy birthday to Jack
<v Speaker 1>mentioned that on the Dynamite Tree the other night. Somebody
<v Speaker 1>did that it was his birthday. How would you have
<v Speaker 1>booked a sting in Goldberg feud in WCW. I would
<v Speaker 1>have booked it a lot better than WCW would have.
<v Speaker 1>I think they had a TV match once, right, I
<v Speaker 1>think they did wrestle once. But as far as how
<v Speaker 1>I would book it, they would both have to be babyfaces.
<v Speaker 1>I can't see turning either one of them. Heel, I'm
<v Speaker 1>just booking for the World Championship, man, It's all about
<v Speaker 1>the world title, not unlike the way they did Goldberg
<v Speaker 1>and DDP very similar. Do you remember when Kurt Handing
<v Speaker 1>feuded with master P in WCW. Yes, that was during
<v Speaker 1>his rap is Crap phase. I do remember that. Do
<v Speaker 1>you think Sting will ever come back to WWE? No, never,
<v Speaker 1>never gonna happen. He's under contract with AW. Still. Do
<v Speaker 1>you remember the WCW Nitro commercial that had Keith David
<v Speaker 1>narrating and DDP saying that this is where the big
<v Speaker 1>boys play. Keith David narrated a WCW commercial. I don't
<v Speaker 1>remember that, but I do remember the Sprite commercial where
<v Speaker 1>Sting beats up the little kid. I did enjoy that,
<v Speaker 1>he says. I hope you go see the Michael Jackson
<v Speaker 1>movie this weekend and have a great weekend, Sloma. I
<v Speaker 1>will be working on sound off stuff and SoundOff notes
<v Speaker 1>all weekend, so I will not be seeing it. However,
<v Speaker 1>I will be seeing the Mortal Kombat movie in a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks. I'm looking forward to that. And then we
<v Speaker 1>got the back Rooms coming at the end of May.
<v Speaker 1>Browley says, call up women to help with your lack
<v Speaker 1>of depth division, only to fire the ones you already have. Therefore,
<v Speaker 1>going back to how we began, Well, that is true,
<v Speaker 1>Zelena Vega Alba fire What was it just those two?
<v Speaker 1>I don't have the list in front of me Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they got rid of a few women, but let's be
<v Speaker 1>honest here. I mean, they weren't doing anything with them,
<v Speaker 1>so it doesn't it doesn't really change things. And they
<v Speaker 1>still have beach It I did it again, Meechen Bfab,
<v Speaker 1>Candice Larray, Keana James, Julia, Tiffany Charlotte, Alexa, Naya lash Page,
<v Speaker 1>the Bellas they have the women there now, fatal influence,
<v Speaker 1>Blake Monroe. The key is what you do with them?
<v Speaker 1>What are you going to do with them? What are
<v Speaker 1>the stories that you're coming up with for them? What
<v Speaker 1>are the matches, what are the feuds. I don't trust
<v Speaker 1>these people, That's the problem. Death Size Jeff Hardy's release
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty one still boggles my mind. There's a
<v Speaker 1>lot of things that Jeff's done in his career that
<v Speaker 1>boggle the mind. Dry Chicken without Flavor. I bet people
<v Speaker 1>within AW will heavily encourage Tony Kah to sign Kyrie
<v Speaker 1>Saane once the non compete clause expires. Well, why wouldn't they,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure they will. Death sythe says, wherever Kyrie goes,
<v Speaker 1>she will be safe from OSCA. Yes, no more worrying
<v Speaker 1>about OSCAR. She's free Bossmo Jackson. It's official. J C.
<v Speaker 1>Jaane in Company is on SmackDown and WWE should fire
<v Speaker 1>death He says, Death Rebel. What's Death Rebel? That's a
<v Speaker 1>that's a different band I've never heard of. Dry Chicken says,
<v Speaker 1>WWE is cutting ties with Death Rebel. But wait, that's
<v Speaker 1>an alternate twenty twenty six CMJ World. How long do
<v Speaker 1>you think it'll be before we get ads in promos
<v Speaker 1>like after I kick your ass tonight, I'm gonna go
<v Speaker 1>get the new Papa John's Ultimate, I've crossed Pepperoni Pizza.
<v Speaker 1>You know you laugh, you put lol at the end
<v Speaker 1>of that. But I don't think we're too far off
<v Speaker 1>from that. Don't you go giveing TKO any ideas? Now, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we see those Snickers commercials. At some point there's going
<v Speaker 1>to be someone who just loses their shit in a
<v Speaker 1>promo and like their partner is going to be like,
<v Speaker 1>you're not yourself here have a Snickers right in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the promo. You don't think that they wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>sell ad inventory like that if they knew they could.
<v Speaker 1>Broley fatal influence already more over than whatever the hell
<v Speaker 1>they were doing with Lash and Naya for six months.
<v Speaker 1>Laney was in NXT for only ten months. Well, that's
<v Speaker 1>why I haven't seen too much of her work. Venom
<v Speaker 1>Ktetsu with a ten dollars super chat just took sixty
<v Speaker 1>g's of shrooms. That's how you know it's a Friday night.
<v Speaker 1>That's his way of preparing for SmackDown. So the wrestling
<v Speaker 1>industry is a frustrating mess. Post Mania cuts are expected,
<v Speaker 1>but are just nonsense. Looking forward to the sound of
<v Speaker 1>been a wild week with just flare alone. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>Venom Kotetsu. It has been a very newsworthy week. Nko Samuel,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for the five. And we've got another five
<v Speaker 1>here from wait Mystic Jay hijacking with another five, Thank
<v Speaker 1>you Mystic Jay. Well, this person is like Prince, there's
<v Speaker 1>no name, it's just a dash, it says, feels like
<v Speaker 1>a waste of time to watch weekly shows when so
<v Speaker 1>many storylines are dropped or ret conned or forgotten. F
<v Speaker 1>for Kyrie's face turn against Osca. Yeah, that's a great point.
<v Speaker 1>And I kind of made a similar point at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the stream when I said why should we
<v Speaker 1>invest in some of these stories and characters? But I
<v Speaker 1>talked about the Now. Look, I'm glad they retconnned the
<v Speaker 1>Pat McAfee stuff, but that's another example where they were
<v Speaker 1>telling this story and it was so fucking awful that
<v Speaker 1>they decided the best course of action. I mean, they
<v Speaker 1>had no choice once Pat said I'm done with this,
<v Speaker 1>so they basically wreckconded and it's gonna be like it
<v Speaker 1>never even happened. And the Oscar Kyrie stuff and it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be like that never even happened. And you could
<v Speaker 1>find other examples of this, but in this case, it
<v Speaker 1>was just it was so unnecessary. It was totally unnecessary,
<v Speaker 1>and they did it anyway. Nico with a twenty Hey Solo,
<v Speaker 1>I missed SmackDown? Did I miss anything? I was in
<v Speaker 1>downtown Orlando watching the Chameleons, would watch them a thousand
<v Speaker 1>times over. Morrissey looking forward to the sound off, episode
<v Speaker 1>nine to sixty and Uncrowned. Thanks as always, Thank you, Nico,
<v Speaker 1>I got you covered this upcoming week. You were watching
<v Speaker 1>the Chameleons. Also, he says, what is the airport test?
<v Speaker 1>So the airport test, it's very simple. The idea is
<v Speaker 1>that if you see this person, whoever this person may be,
<v Speaker 1>walking through the airport, do they catch your eye, because
<v Speaker 1>if not, you fail the airport test. But let's say
<v Speaker 1>you're walking through the airport and you're just dressed in
<v Speaker 1>a very, I don't know, outlandish way, or you're seven
<v Speaker 1>feet tall, or you're all muscled up and chiseled, you're
<v Speaker 1>like something out of a comic book, whatever the case
<v Speaker 1>may be. Fucking Omas is walking through the airport. Omas
<v Speaker 1>is going to pass that airport test every single time,
<v Speaker 1>right because all the eyes are going to be on him.
<v Speaker 1>That's the airport test. You know, Sammy's Ain walking through
<v Speaker 1>the airport, other than the people who would know him
<v Speaker 1>from TV. If Sammy's Ain someone who looked like Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>Ain was walking through the airport, would people be like
<v Speaker 1>staring at him and like would their eyes be shifting
<v Speaker 1>over like, oh, who's that guy? Like, No, no one's
<v Speaker 1>to pay any attentions. Sammy's Aying would fail the airport test.
<v Speaker 1>Daniel Bryan would fail the airport test. That's what the
<v Speaker 1>airport test is. William Lopez. The first time alistair was released,
<v Speaker 1>he said not to blame Vince McMahon. I wonder if
<v Speaker 1>this time he'll say, don't blame Nick Cohn. Yeah, not
<v Speaker 1>the first time that Alistair has departed. WWA, what he's
<v Speaker 1>going to do now, I don't know. San Juan wolf
<v Speaker 1>with A nineteen ninety nine. If Sammy isn't already a heel,
<v Speaker 1>I've got a good feeling they're going to turn him
<v Speaker 1>real soon and I'm here for it. Much love from Flora.
<v Speaker 1>They're in the middle of doing it, for sure. We're
<v Speaker 1>seeing it happen right before our eyes. TGN TKO have
<v Speaker 1>lost the plot release Kyrie in the middle of a
<v Speaker 1>storyline also with Black. They decided Pat McAfee brother and
<v Speaker 1>then fire him. What a joke? Yeah, imagine, I mean
<v Speaker 1>if that report is to be believed, you know, going
<v Speaker 1>from potentially being involved in a wrestlemaniam match in program
<v Speaker 1>with Randy Orton to losing your job a week later
<v Speaker 1>after WrestleMania. It's something, isn't it. It's really something? Hulkling
<v Speaker 1>ninety three. He solo noticed Tangaloa almost smacking himself getting Oh,
<v Speaker 1>that's what I's That's what it was. He almost smacked
<v Speaker 1>himself with the chair when he was getting into the ring. Also,
<v Speaker 1>like a group of moose are called moose, a group
<v Speaker 1>of deer are called deer. I mean deer sounds that
<v Speaker 1>sounds fine, But like again, just when you say it
<v Speaker 1>out loud and you call a group of moose moose,
<v Speaker 1>it just doesn't sound right to me. That needs to
<v Speaker 1>be changed. Someone needs to get in touch with Oxford
<v Speaker 1>and get that changed, Aaron, This backdown has been bad.
<v Speaker 1>So their brilliant solution is to build the entire show
<v Speaker 1>around the MFTs. Sounds like a great idea, Rick Gonzales,
<v Speaker 1>my Rockies beat your Mets, Solo, Yikes, yeah, I heard
<v Speaker 1>they're back to their losing ways. When you lose to
<v Speaker 1>the Rockies, I mean, I just don't even know what
<v Speaker 1>to say. I don't know what to say. Where do
<v Speaker 1>you go from there? Misfit Wrestling Podcast. Today marks one
<v Speaker 1>year since my mom passed away. It's been very tough
<v Speaker 1>for me and my family. But your streams always put
<v Speaker 1>a smile on my face and put me in a
<v Speaker 1>good mood. Please continue to do so, Solo. I'm very
<v Speaker 1>sorry to hear about your mom, and as long as
<v Speaker 1>I can bring you some level of comfort for a
<v Speaker 1>few hours each night each week, then I will continue
<v Speaker 1>to do that. It's the least I can do. Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>brother Leo. I hate seeing people get released. My heart
<v Speaker 1>goes out to the people who have lost their jobs today.
<v Speaker 1>I was also a bit worried for Keana. I'm glad
<v Speaker 1>to see that she seems to be safe. Aaron says,
<v Speaker 1>buy or sell Cain and Undertaker's two thousand returns. Oh man,
<v Speaker 1>they were both great, but I gotta go Undertaker. That
<v Speaker 1>one was just mass chaos. At the end of that
<v Speaker 1>Iron Man match, Leo says, like that they are teasing
<v Speaker 1>a breakup between Keana and Julia. I just hope they
<v Speaker 1>commit to it. They also need more babyfaces on the
<v Speaker 1>women's side. The Ulfman WWE's reason for letting Kyrie go
<v Speaker 1>in Johnny Yce's voice, budget cuts. This budget cuts kid
<v Speaker 1>death side. Imagine if they cut Elizabeth before WrestleMania five, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>basically and basically now, imaginef they cut Elizabeth before WrestleMania eight.
<v Speaker 1>That whole storyline was revolved around her. They were threatening
<v Speaker 1>to drop a giant centerfold banner of her in a
<v Speaker 1>compromising position if Flair won the match. And then imagine
<v Speaker 1>a week before Elizabeth has been released by w W.
<v Speaker 1>A we got mister Rod Wyatt six is gone unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>and the aur died. They basically failed. Bray Wyatt said, I,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I don't really look at it like that necessarily.
<v Speaker 1>I look at it like this. You know, Bo had
<v Speaker 1>the opportunity to come back and pay tribute to his brother,
<v Speaker 1>and he did that, and I'm sure he would have
<v Speaker 1>wanted to continue the vision and just kind of see
<v Speaker 1>it through until the end. But it's not like he
<v Speaker 1>didn't get to do some cool stuff and honor his brother.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't look at it as a total loss,
<v Speaker 1>cause you know, he paid tribute to Bray, He brought
<v Speaker 1>those characters back to life. They won the tag team titles,
<v Speaker 1>so I mean you can't and again, their debut is
<v Speaker 1>very memorable, So I don't think you could say it
<v Speaker 1>was a total loss. It just fizzled out and they
<v Speaker 1>didn't really know what to do with them, because it's
<v Speaker 1>it's a gimmick that had a ceiling, you know, and
<v Speaker 1>it's just there's only so much you're going to be
<v Speaker 1>able to do unless you evolve it, and you evolve
<v Speaker 1>those characters into something beyond just spooky shit, where you know,
<v Speaker 1>you're having them do supernatural type stuff for freaky type stuff,
<v Speaker 1>and they just never evolved it they just kept doing
<v Speaker 1>the same shit with them and over and over again,
<v Speaker 1>or maybe they wanted to and they didn't allow them to.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the thought process was there. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if ideas were being pitched that were ignored
<v Speaker 1>or rejected. Now that they're all released, once their non
<v Speaker 1>competes are up, I'm sure some of them might hit
<v Speaker 1>the interview circuit and maybe we'll get some answers to
<v Speaker 1>those questions. But I wouldn't say they failed Bray. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't say that, Aaron. I Actually, to be honest with you, Bray.
<v Speaker 1>If you think about it, Bray was released by WWE also,
<v Speaker 1>so they were kind of following in his footsteps in
<v Speaker 1>that way in terms of how he got treated by
<v Speaker 1>the company. Aaron says. Nikita Lyons has been around since
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty one, hasn't improved much and got demoted from
<v Speaker 1>developmental NXT to evolve. She must have the deaf rebel leverage.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah she's got. I don't know, man, she knows maybe
<v Speaker 1>where a couple of bodies are buried. Jeremy Rose. Those
<v Speaker 1>people or these people lost their jobs because the company
<v Speaker 1>that flaunts record profits and gate records spend their money
<v Speaker 1>on old divas like the Bella's and Page and the
<v Speaker 1>Jelly Rolls and McAfee's of the world. They think those
<v Speaker 1>people are going are going to draw them money, and
<v Speaker 1>they're convinced that these are the people that we need
<v Speaker 1>to be seeing on these shows. Bissel zones going into
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania forty one, I recall you expected more from Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black than Russev. I was about to ask who had
<v Speaker 1>the better year. I guess we have our answer. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>And it's not like Russev is not a whole lot either.
<v Speaker 1>At least he got on the WrestleMania card. Can't say
<v Speaker 1>the same for Alistair Black lost the sauce ba with
<v Speaker 1>nine ninety nine. Kyrie will be dropping Sola Monster through
<v Speaker 1>a table with an elbow drop and hog by the
<v Speaker 1>end of the year. It's not a prediction, it's a spoiler.
<v Speaker 1>You want me to take an insane elbow through a table.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if I'd be willing to do that.
<v Speaker 1>That sounds very dangerous. Jeremy Rose says, we got Heal
<v Speaker 1>Sammy and Heeal bloodline and a lazy creative team. Use
<v Speaker 1>your imagination and see the vision. I'd prefer to see
<v Speaker 1>Crazy j versus Jacob instead of Jacob wasting his shot
<v Speaker 1>at Roman. Since we all know he is losing, well,
<v Speaker 1>he's definitely now winning the championship. Jeremy, Thank You, Alexander
<v Speaker 1>is wild. If Jasmine Nix was patient, she would have
<v Speaker 1>been on the show tonight with JC Jane. I think
<v Speaker 1>she complained about the money not being enough. I think
<v Speaker 1>she said it was like seventy five thousand or something,
<v Speaker 1>and I mean, look good for her if she felt
<v Speaker 1>like it wasn't enough. STANDI your ground. Sometimes you just
<v Speaker 1>have to be willing to not take what they take
<v Speaker 1>what they're going to give you. If you feel like
<v Speaker 1>you're being undervalued, or you feel like, man, I need
<v Speaker 1>to be making more than that, then say, look that's
<v Speaker 1>not good enough for me. Sorry, hey, I mean respect
<v Speaker 1>to her for that. Aaron says, I think it would
<v Speaker 1>be good to send Tiffany to RAW when she drops
<v Speaker 1>the US title. Her and Blake are very similar, and
<v Speaker 1>she's been on SmackDown since her call up. It's like
<v Speaker 1>having two Barbie Doll characters on the same show. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't be shocked if they end up putting them in
<v Speaker 1>a fucking tag team together at some point start coming
<v Speaker 1>out and matching outfits. I volunteer as a tribute for
<v Speaker 1>you solo to take the Insane elbow. A lot of
<v Speaker 1>people would be volunteering their services for that spot, Alexander
<v Speaker 1>with the fifteen Thank you, Alexander. We need to keep
<v Speaker 1>this super chat alive. On a side note, and I
<v Speaker 1>posted it in the chat earlier. The common denominated with
<v Speaker 1>the main roster releases, all of them were SmackDown talent, SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>mid card got nuked, you know, Black Vega Alba. Well,
<v Speaker 1>that's not true. Kyrie was on raw. Kyrie was not
<v Speaker 1>a SmackDown star, so that's not entirely true. Apollo Cruz was,
<v Speaker 1>though Santos Escobar really was not a WWE main roster
<v Speaker 1>talent anymore. They had moved him over to Triple A.
<v Speaker 1>The rest of them, I think you are correct, though.
<v Speaker 1>The rest of them, I believe, outside of the nxt ones,
<v Speaker 1>the rest of them I believe were SmackDown. Nico Samuel
<v Speaker 1>get while E Coyote to blow he says, wild E Coyote.
<v Speaker 1>I would love it if that was his name. It's
<v Speaker 1>wild E Coyote, to blow up, SmackDown, just saying, well,
<v Speaker 1>the problem is if you get the coyote to blow
<v Speaker 1>up smack Down, it won't work. He'll just blow himself up.
<v Speaker 1>That's the whole point of being Wiley Coyote. It's not
<v Speaker 1>gonna work. He'll try to blow up smack Down and
<v Speaker 1>it'll end up blowing up at his face. That's the
<v Speaker 1>whole point of the character. Near he says, a falafful
<v Speaker 1>on me solo, not really a falafful guy. I appreciate
<v Speaker 1>the offer, though, Jeremy Rose, could punk Cody SummerSlam happen,
<v Speaker 1>then rematch it WrestleMania. Could it happen? Sure? There have
<v Speaker 1>been times where we've gotten matches at Summer Slam and
<v Speaker 1>then they build the story all the way through WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>We got the rematch there Chicago for MBK. I asked
<v Speaker 1>earlier this week about potential releases. Seeing some of the
<v Speaker 1>names today genuinely floored me. Triple H needs to follow
<v Speaker 1>time to rebuild. Chris O'Neil. Big name that you can
<v Speaker 1>see getting released, I say, Bailey. I don't know when
<v Speaker 1>Bailey's contract is up, if it's later this year or
<v Speaker 1>next year. There's been a lot of rumors about her.
<v Speaker 1>I think I think it's more realistic that when her
<v Speaker 1>contract is up, she chooses to leave. I think if
<v Speaker 1>she wanted to go to AW I mean, she would
<v Speaker 1>be welcomed with open arms, and she's got friends there,
<v Speaker 1>and she has a whole plethora of new talent there
<v Speaker 1>to work with. If she just was looking for like
<v Speaker 1>a refresh, maybe she's not. She may be content to
<v Speaker 1>stay where she is, and then she's doing these occasional seminars,
<v Speaker 1>you know, for other women's wrestlers, and maybe she's just
<v Speaker 1>content to do that. But I don't. I think it's
<v Speaker 1>more likely that, if anything, she just opts to leave
<v Speaker 1>when her contract is up. It's been there a long time,
<v Speaker 1>broly since thirteen people have been called up since January.
<v Speaker 1>Got a feel for CW and HBK and I think
<v Speaker 1>Julia needs to turn face. They only got five faces
<v Speaker 1>and eleven heels on SmackDown. Yes, they definitely do need
<v Speaker 1>more faces. Now are you counting I assume you're counting
<v Speaker 1>some of the women that are in tag teams, like
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte and Alexa and Mystic Jay. It sucks to think
<v Speaker 1>that all the released wrestlers Triple H brought back when
<v Speaker 1>he took over creative have all been released once again.
<v Speaker 1>That is actually it's actually a good point. Right, you
<v Speaker 1>had Black, you had Well, you had Cross, you had
<v Speaker 1>Dakota Kai. Right, Yeah, Kyrie, there are a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>people Alex's brother solo. If you are evil, then are
<v Speaker 1>you canceling your WWE contract and going back to New
<v Speaker 1>Japan after today's releases? I mean, what is his potential?
<v Speaker 1>Why would he do that? He left New Japan for
<v Speaker 1>a reason because he knows he can make more money
<v Speaker 1>over here. What is his potential? He's not going to
<v Speaker 1>be a main event player in this company, but I
<v Speaker 1>don't even know if he's going to NXT first or not.
<v Speaker 1>What is his potential? I think his potential is similar
<v Speaker 1>to what you see with j. C. Matteo in the MFTs.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I think his potential is. We got Chicken Sticks, LiPo?
<v Speaker 1>What went wrong with Cross and WWE Love your show?
<v Speaker 1>He probably didn't do himself and he favors with that
<v Speaker 1>post WrestleMania promo last year, which was fucking awesome, but
<v Speaker 1>it sounds like it might have ruffled some feathers in
<v Speaker 1>a way that he didn't intend because people got all
<v Speaker 1>up in their feelings and so I don't think that
<v Speaker 1>helped his case. I also don't think that people getting
<v Speaker 1>behind him and starting to chant for him necessarily with
<v Speaker 1>something the company was expecting or hoping for. And sometimes
<v Speaker 1>they don't like that. You know. Sometimes they'll embrace it
<v Speaker 1>if they see the crowd as really rallying behind somebody.
<v Speaker 1>But I think only if they see that person as
<v Speaker 1>really having true potential, like, oh, okay, that's a person
<v Speaker 1>that we want to get behind or would have gotten behind,
<v Speaker 1>and now the fans are dictating that they want us
<v Speaker 1>to get behind this person. And I kind of feel
<v Speaker 1>like if you don't fall into that category and you're
<v Speaker 1>not part of the plan, I don't like that very much.
<v Speaker 1>They kind of resent you for it. There may have
<v Speaker 1>been a little bit of that going on retro Koah
<v Speaker 1>Buyer sell on Evil video game doctors doctor Eggman from
<v Speaker 1>Sonic or doctor Wilie from Mega Man. I gotta go
<v Speaker 1>doctor Egman and SENDPI thank you for the membership. Remember
<v Speaker 1>the wheel tonight dictated five hundred and thirty likes was
<v Speaker 1>the goal. We are currently sitting at six ninety nine.
<v Speaker 1>We're a one away from seven hundred. So you guys
<v Speaker 1>smashed the goal. Very cool to see. We did well
<v Speaker 1>on the bonus goal. We fell three shorts so far,
<v Speaker 1>seven out of ten on that, but we got one
<v Speaker 1>round to be the booker at least come in your way.
<v Speaker 1>Let's get to that right now, ladies and gentlemen, it
<v Speaker 1>is now time to be the booker. It's doctor Robotic,
<v Speaker 1>doctor robotnik. I mean this guy here talking doctor robotnic
<v Speaker 1>right here. Look at this guy. Is that what you're
<v Speaker 1>talking about? Let me some doctor Robotic. All right, here
<v Speaker 1>we go, tag team, be the Booker. We're gonna kick
<v Speaker 1>off with r K bro, Vince Russo's favorite team, Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton and Matt Riddle. They are going to be stepping
<v Speaker 1>into the ring with Bullet Club Gold, Jay White and
<v Speaker 1>Juice Robinson. I miss Jay White. When is Jay White
<v Speaker 1>going to be back? He's been gone for a very
<v Speaker 1>long time. You imagine if r K brow was managed
<v Speaker 1>by Vince Russo and he cut all their promos for them,
<v Speaker 1>that would be awful. All right, Women's be the booker,
<v Speaker 1>oh man, of all the nights we land on Queen Zelena,
<v Speaker 1>it's like be the Booker knows sometimes it's like it
<v Speaker 1>has a sixth sense for these things. Choose four women
<v Speaker 1>on then we get Nikki crossing this one. Look at that.
<v Speaker 1>Be the booker is just this is this is terrible,
<v Speaker 1>This is this is very sad. We go from Zelena
<v Speaker 1>in one image to Nicky Cross in another image. Choose
<v Speaker 1>four women and book a tag team match. All right,
<v Speaker 1>so we're gonna start over then where you have to
<v Speaker 1>start fresh. Now four women and we're going to book
<v Speaker 1>a women's tag team match. All right. So our first
<v Speaker 1>participant is Ruby Riot or Ruby Soho. I guess we'll
<v Speaker 1>call her Ruby Sojo since that was an aw image,
<v Speaker 1>Ruby Soho and her tag team partner Julia. Now this
<v Speaker 1>right here, this, this is stardom Julia. Right here, this
<v Speaker 1>is Julia, Ruby and Julia. Their opponents, Ria Ripley and Rhea.
<v Speaker 1>Ripley's tag team partner is a Zoe Stark. It's a
<v Speaker 1>fine tag team match. But man, be the booker, what
<v Speaker 1>are you doing? What are you doing tonight? We went
<v Speaker 1>from Zelina to Nikky Cross to Zoey Stark. You know
<v Speaker 1>what I think? I think this is be the booker's
<v Speaker 1>way of paying tribute. It's it's it's gotta be. This
<v Speaker 1>is be the booker's way of paying tribute, because that
<v Speaker 1>is just that's just wild that. It's just cruel. Either
<v Speaker 1>that or be the booker is like the biggest troll.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know one or the other. But I don't
<v Speaker 1>blame me. I have no control over it. I create it,
<v Speaker 1>but then it has a mind of its own. All Right,
<v Speaker 1>our main event, all right, let's not be doing Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black in this main event please, or I don't think
<v Speaker 1>Santos is in here. We have the American dream, Dusty
<v Speaker 1>Roads with the rare red polka dots not yellow. We
<v Speaker 1>have red polka dots here, and Dusty's opponents, well, we
<v Speaker 1>got ourselves a mirror Matchy. Cody Rhodes is in tears
<v Speaker 1>somewhere looking at this match. We have Dusty Roads taking
<v Speaker 1>on Dusty Roads. The charisma, the charisma of this match.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine the promos leading up to this match. What a
<v Speaker 1>build up to this match. Yes, this is Cody's dream match.
<v Speaker 1>He's gonna have a front row seat for this one.
<v Speaker 1>Dusty couldn't have booked it. But now we just need
<v Speaker 1>a Dusty finish. Yes, we need a Dusty finish for
<v Speaker 1>this match. Was that sweep? It was a sweep? I
<v Speaker 1>was so wrapped up in this match that I forgot
<v Speaker 1>to hit the sound effect for the sweep. Dusty Roads
<v Speaker 1>against Dusty Roads honestly better than most wrestling matches these days.
<v Speaker 1>Dusty and Dusty, who goes over? Yeah, that's the question though?
<v Speaker 1>Who does the job in that match? And EJ. Slimp
<v Speaker 1>ranked these matchups from best to worst only two away
<v Speaker 1>look at that. On that TI Bonus Cape. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>eight out of ten ranked these matchups from best to worst.
<v Speaker 1>HBK Versus Missawa, Undertaker versus Kobashi, Brent versus Kowata, Owen
<v Speaker 1>versus Taue. Wow, those all sound like great matches, so
<v Speaker 1>now I have to rank them. Undertaker in Kobashi? Are
<v Speaker 1>we talking like mid two thousands like MMA Undertaker who
<v Speaker 1>was actually wrestling? Or are we talking Greg Glove nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety two Undertaker? Which Undertaker are we talking about? Here? Man?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's how do I vote against HBK and Missawa?
<v Speaker 1>That's like I mean, you talk about dream matches there. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think I would buy, I would rank HBK missaua
<v Speaker 1>And then you know, Breton Kowata is an interesting one
<v Speaker 1>because Brett had a match with Tiger Mask in nineteen ninety,
<v Speaker 1>so Brett hadn't really reached his final form yet in
<v Speaker 1>nineteen ninety. But that match was not that good. And
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it was just like if you
<v Speaker 1>did that match five years later, it may be a
<v Speaker 1>banger or just Brett not working well with some of
<v Speaker 1>the Japanese wrestlers. I don't know, because I would put
<v Speaker 1>Breton Kowa a second, but I don't know. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know how that match would go. Yeah, Brett hard hated
<v Speaker 1>working with Missawa, all right, Yeah, it's a good point. Kowata.
<v Speaker 1>He says, Kowada is the greatest seller of all times.
<v Speaker 1>So Brett versus Kowada. I'll go HBK Misawa and then
<v Speaker 1>Brett Kowata, and then Owen and Taue and then Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>in Kobashi last. I hate to put Kobashi last, but
<v Speaker 1>in this case, I feel like I have to what
<v Speaker 1>a joint card that would have been, though, I think
<v Speaker 1>Kobashi would be taking a last ride from the Undertaker.
<v Speaker 1>Brett would leave if he had to face Kowata. Why
<v Speaker 1>why would he leave? Sting and Muda was not bad.
<v Speaker 1>I think it was ninety one, No, it was eighty nine,
<v Speaker 1>and it was better than not not that not that bad.
<v Speaker 1>It was fucking great. Sting and Muda was awesome. I
<v Speaker 1>think they've posted up some of that stuff on the
<v Speaker 1>WCW channel on YouTube. If you are either not familiar
<v Speaker 1>with it or you haven't seen it in many years,
<v Speaker 1>you can find it on there. Muda in eighty nine
<v Speaker 1>was great. Anyway, thank you guys for hanging out with
<v Speaker 1>me on a very newsworthy Friday night. Unfortunately, a very
<v Speaker 1>newsworthy Friday night. I would imagine there would be more
<v Speaker 1>information that will be coming out in the days ahead
<v Speaker 1>as far as these releases and what led to some
<v Speaker 1>of them, or if there are additional ones, because they
<v Speaker 1>may not be done yet, and so I'll have all
<v Speaker 1>that information for you on the sound Off this Sunday's
<v Speaker 1>a lot of stuff to get into on the Sounduff
<v Speaker 1>this Sunday. I have one episode left, the final episode
<v Speaker 1>of the Hulk Cogan docu series on Netflix, so if
<v Speaker 1>I am able to finish that tomorrow, I will give
<v Speaker 1>you my full thoughts on that. The Flare stuff, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's just there, there's a ton of there's a ton
<v Speaker 1>of stuff I want to get into, so we will
<v Speaker 1>talk about all that episode nine sixty that will be
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday, and as far as the week coming up
<v Speaker 1>raw post show Monday night, we have the Uncrowned Wrestling
<v Speaker 1>show on Tuesday, Tuesday Night, Titans that night, and then
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite on Wednesday. There will not be a SmackDown review
<v Speaker 1>next Friday because I will be at that time. I
<v Speaker 1>will be doing commentary. I will be doing play by
<v Speaker 1>play for the House of Glory show. Somebody in the
<v Speaker 1>chat earlier asked me if there's tickets available. I believe
<v Speaker 1>they should still be. I know we were very close
<v Speaker 1>to a sellout. When I look at the map, it's weird,
<v Speaker 1>Like I looked at the map earlier and it doesn't
<v Speaker 1>show any like on the map available seats, but like
<v Speaker 1>you can't choose on the bottom from either some balcony
<v Speaker 1>or some general admissions. So, yes, there are still some
<v Speaker 1>tickets available if you want to go to the show,
<v Speaker 1>if you want to say hello, I'll be there. But yes,
<v Speaker 1>that's where I will be. It's a quick thing too.
<v Speaker 1>I'm flying into LA on Friday doing the show, and
<v Speaker 1>then flying back to New York on Saturday morning. So
<v Speaker 1>and then I got to get home because I got
<v Speaker 1>to sound Off to do next Sunday. Wish me luck.
<v Speaker 1>I do it all for you anyway. Be well, stay safe,
<v Speaker 1>have your sill, have seen a great weekend, and keep
<v Speaker 1>an eye out Sunday afternoon, episode nine to sixty of
<v Speaker 1>The SoundOff. I'll see you guys on Monday night.
