<v Speaker 1>What's going on, guys? It is another Monday Night. I
<v Speaker 1>am the Solemn Monster. It is your Monday Night Raw
<v Speaker 1>review for April twenty seven, twenty twenty six, where tonight
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu they came face to face
<v Speaker 1>yet again. The cliffhanger last week was whether or not
<v Speaker 1>Roman would give Jacob a championship match a Backlash. They
<v Speaker 1>kind of left us hanging there at the end, and
<v Speaker 1>then Jacob went and main evented SmackDown on Friday, and
<v Speaker 1>I think we all knew where this was headed. But
<v Speaker 1>tonight we got the official response. And not only did
<v Speaker 1>we get a response, but we had Jacob Fatu putting
<v Speaker 1>his hands on roman Reins and using a move that
<v Speaker 1>I have not seen or heard mentioned in a very
<v Speaker 1>long time. I'm watching this show and I see Jacob
<v Speaker 1>fa Twu is using the tongue in death grip. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>are we going back to the fucking tongue in death grip? Here?
<v Speaker 1>I felt like I was transported back to the days
<v Speaker 1>of nineteen ninety seven Nightro But he did, and Roman
<v Speaker 1>accepted the challenge, and so the World Heavyweight Championship will
<v Speaker 1>be on the line at Backlash. In just a few weeks,
<v Speaker 1>we actually had the announcement of three matches for Backlash.
<v Speaker 1>Backlash is actually shaping up to be a very strong card.
<v Speaker 1>All the matches so far are raw matches. I suspect
<v Speaker 1>that will change at the end of this week. But
<v Speaker 1>we have Roman reigns in Jacob Fatu for the World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight Championship. We have Seth Rolins and bron Breaker, their
<v Speaker 1>match was made official tonight as well, and EO Sky
<v Speaker 1>and Osca will finally after months, step into the ring
<v Speaker 1>one on one. But it feels like there's something missing.
<v Speaker 1>Something is missing in this equation. I can't quite put
<v Speaker 1>my finger on what it is. Oh yes, that's right.
<v Speaker 1>Kyrie Say will not be involved in this match, and
<v Speaker 1>the only time that you will ever hear this again
<v Speaker 1>is on one of these streams because she's already back
<v Speaker 1>in Japan and she will have nothing to do with
<v Speaker 1>this match, which, honestly like not that I'm not looking
<v Speaker 1>forward to seeing EO and Oska in the ring together.
<v Speaker 1>I've been waiting for this match for a while, but
<v Speaker 1>it just feels hollow now. The entire story that this
<v Speaker 1>match was built around, the whole payoff that this match
<v Speaker 1>was built upon unless there's some last second deal that
<v Speaker 1>gets made to bring her back, and you can't rule
<v Speaker 1>it out right. We've seen this before, we saw this
<v Speaker 1>with our truth. But chances are that will not happen,
<v Speaker 1>and now that will not be taking place, and that
<v Speaker 1>sucks and the match loses something because of it. It could
<v Speaker 1>still be a very good match, but the match loses
<v Speaker 1>something because of it, and you can kind of tell.
<v Speaker 1>I think even looking at them tonight, EO and Osca,
<v Speaker 1>who are on the show, you know, obviously they seemed
<v Speaker 1>a little sad about the whole situation. They didn't have
<v Speaker 1>that pep in their step, and you can understand why
<v Speaker 1>their partner, their friend, is no longer there and they
<v Speaker 1>probably have no good reason. They have no good explanation
<v Speaker 1>for it. Nobody does. It was a very stupid decision.
<v Speaker 1>Why you would make a decision like that before paying
<v Speaker 1>off the story, right, Because even if you decided to
<v Speaker 1>get rid of her in three weeks, you pay off
<v Speaker 1>the story, everybody goes crazy for it, and then you
<v Speaker 1>get rid of her. You still would have had a
<v Speaker 1>lot of outrage over the move. But you could at
<v Speaker 1>least look at it and go okay, well, at least
<v Speaker 1>we got the payoff to the story. At least they
<v Speaker 1>were able to, you know, kind of put a bow
<v Speaker 1>on it, and they didn't even do that, and that
<v Speaker 1>will not ever not be weird to me. But we
<v Speaker 1>are getting the match. The other thing that we also
<v Speaker 1>can take away from this show tonight is that open
<v Speaker 1>challenge Mania is running wild here. On Monday Night Raw,
<v Speaker 1>we had Becky Lynch doing an open challenge tonight for
<v Speaker 1>the Women's Intercontinental title, which ended up being accepted by
<v Speaker 1>EO Sky and the two of them had the best
<v Speaker 1>match on the entire show. But then on the same show,
<v Speaker 1>we had Opah Femi. After his quick win, he made
<v Speaker 1>short work of Grayson Waller saying, I am now officially
<v Speaker 1>starting the Oba Femi Open Challenge, which I gotta be
<v Speaker 1>honest with you, is not the worst idea in the world,
<v Speaker 1>except they do so many open challenges that you just
<v Speaker 1>hear open challenge and you just kind of put your
<v Speaker 1>head in your hands, like this is this really like this?
<v Speaker 1>It's such a crutch when you see it so many times,
<v Speaker 1>and this is across the board in wrestling, but even
<v Speaker 1>in WWE in particular, they fall back on it when
<v Speaker 1>they just can't come up with something better for people
<v Speaker 1>to do. So we had the US Title Open Challenge
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown, which was fantastic. We have Becky Lynch. Now
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this is going to be a
<v Speaker 1>weekly thing, but Becky Lynch at least for one night
<v Speaker 1>doing an open challenge. It would be very stupid to
<v Speaker 1>have two different champions on the same show doing the
<v Speaker 1>open challenge gimmick. So maybe it was a one night
<v Speaker 1>thing for Becky, but when you rely on it so
<v Speaker 1>many times, that's when it gets lazy. That's when it
<v Speaker 1>loses all meaning and all value. And that's kind of
<v Speaker 1>where I'm at with Oba. I actually don't think it's
<v Speaker 1>the worst idea in the world for Obafemi because I
<v Speaker 1>was sitting here going, Okay, if you don't do an
<v Speaker 1>open challenge, then what would you do? How do you
<v Speaker 1>book Obafemi? And this is the problem, because Obafemi is
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be booked and portrayed as a special attraction.
<v Speaker 1>You cannot just have him go out on television and
<v Speaker 1>wrestling Grayson Waller every single week. They did that tonight.
<v Speaker 1>You're not going to be able to do that every
<v Speaker 1>single week. There's only so many people he can beat
<v Speaker 1>number one and number two. If all he's doing is
<v Speaker 1>going out there and associating himself with people that are
<v Speaker 1>beneath him, it doesn't help Oba. All it does is
<v Speaker 1>drag him down. But they probably want to feature him
<v Speaker 1>on the show, if not every week, as often as possible,
<v Speaker 1>So honestly, the best solution in that case probably is
<v Speaker 1>to do some sort of open challenge. I don't even
<v Speaker 1>hate the idea. I hate the fact that they have
<v Speaker 1>bastardized it, and they have used it and overused it
<v Speaker 1>so many times that here now when you have a
<v Speaker 1>situation where it might actually work, it just feels so
<v Speaker 1>run down because it's like they're just beating a dead
<v Speaker 1>horse with it. At this point. How many times are
<v Speaker 1>they going to fall back on the open challenge gimmick?
<v Speaker 1>But it really is like, when you really think about,
<v Speaker 1>how do you use Obafemi or push him in an
<v Speaker 1>effective way here on this show. If the idea is
<v Speaker 1>to keep him away from the World Heavyweight Championship for
<v Speaker 1>as long as possible to the summer or until WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>next year, maybe they do King of the Ring this
<v Speaker 1>year and he wins King of the Ring and Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slim he gets a title. Man. We don't know that though,
<v Speaker 1>and even Summer Slim. Summer Slim is months away. Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slim would be the absolute earliest that Obafemi would be
<v Speaker 1>challenging for the world championship. Anyway, it probably won't be
<v Speaker 1>for a lot longer than that. I took a look
<v Speaker 1>at the raw roster to just see if I'm leaving
<v Speaker 1>anybody out, because I'm thinking of the roster. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>even I don't know who I would want to book
<v Speaker 1>this man against right now. The idea of Obafemi and
<v Speaker 1>the Vision doesn't really appeal to me. But the Vision
<v Speaker 1>is pushed as the top heel faction on the show,
<v Speaker 1>and they're occupied right now. Bron Breaker is occupied with
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed is not going to be
<v Speaker 1>back for at least a few months, so you could
<v Speaker 1>put them on the side for now, and then what
<v Speaker 1>you're left with for the most part are people that are,
<v Speaker 1>you know, in the middle of the car. They're in
<v Speaker 1>the hunt for the Intercontinental title. You have your Russevs,
<v Speaker 1>and you have your JD. Mcdonna's, and your Finn Balors
<v Speaker 1>and Penta right, and people like that Dragon Lee. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think that they want to be putting Obafemi in
<v Speaker 1>a program with Dragon Lee, So again, it's not the
<v Speaker 1>worst idea in the world. And I do think by
<v Speaker 1>the way, that you can use this open challenge gimmick
<v Speaker 1>for him as a way to set up for an
<v Speaker 1>eventual battle between him and Gunther, Gunther who was not
<v Speaker 1>on the show tonight, and maybe that's the goal here.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they have an end goal in mind for this
<v Speaker 1>thing where they do build to that as a match.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe that's the match, you know, for SummerSlam. Although if
<v Speaker 1>that's the match for Summer's Law, I don't know who
<v Speaker 1>wrestles Roman Reigns, because you would think it would either
<v Speaker 1>be Gunther or it would be Obafemi. I can only
<v Speaker 1>hope that they have some sort of end goal in
<v Speaker 1>mind for this, and they didn't just come up with
<v Speaker 1>it because we don't know what to do, so we'll
<v Speaker 1>just do an open challenge and we'll figure it out
<v Speaker 1>on the fly. It would be sort of appropriate, I
<v Speaker 1>think if we were to learn that is what's going
<v Speaker 1>on here, because we've seen before where they don't necessarily
<v Speaker 1>have a good endgame for where they want to go
<v Speaker 1>with things the John Cena Hiltern. But yes, Obafemi is
<v Speaker 1>going to be doing his own version of an open
<v Speaker 1>challenge here on this show. And yes he did explain
<v Speaker 1>in the promo. I'm aware I have ears he was
<v Speaker 1>explaining that the champions are tied up right now. That
<v Speaker 1>does not address the question that I just propose, what
<v Speaker 1>do you do with him in the met time? The
<v Speaker 1>whole point is there is no great person for him
<v Speaker 1>to work with at the moment, and it beats the
<v Speaker 1>hell out of not having him on the show, which
<v Speaker 1>honestly would be even worse because for him to go
<v Speaker 1>in there at WrestleMania and beat brock Lesnar get the
<v Speaker 1>biggest win of his career and then he disappears for
<v Speaker 1>six weeks, that doesn't do him any favors. This is
<v Speaker 1>at least a way to get him on the show
<v Speaker 1>pretty much every single week. But I suspect that the
<v Speaker 1>people who were gonna be stepping up to accept the
<v Speaker 1>open challenge. First of all, they have a death wish.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know why you would want to have a
<v Speaker 1>line of people lining up to accept an open challenge
<v Speaker 1>from Obafemi. I don't suspect that they're going to be
<v Speaker 1>big names. I just don't want him hanging around the
<v Speaker 1>mid card for three months. Hopefully they got a few
<v Speaker 1>big names they could throw in there. But in addition
<v Speaker 1>to that, it was a big night in Laredo, Texas
<v Speaker 1>for one Rock Sam Perez because she is from Laredo, Texas,
<v Speaker 1>and boy, I mean she got a standing ovation at
<v Speaker 1>one point during her match tonight. These fans were very
<v Speaker 1>happy to see Roxanne on the show tonight and pick
<v Speaker 1>up a win. By the way in her match. I
<v Speaker 1>can't say the same for Stephanie Viquire. Not a great
<v Speaker 1>night for Stephanie, who they wrote off of television. Tonight,
<v Speaker 1>Joe Hendry made his raw debut in concert. I questioned
<v Speaker 1>some of the lyrics, or at least the timing of them.
<v Speaker 1>We'll talk about that. Soul Ruka was not on the show,
<v Speaker 1>but she is going to sign her raw contract on
<v Speaker 1>the show next week, we were told. And Ethan Page,
<v Speaker 1>who also debuted and got called up last week, was
<v Speaker 1>back on the show this week, although not wrestling. One
<v Speaker 1>other person who was not on the show tonight, CM Punk.
<v Speaker 1>This is after CM Punk came out on TV last
<v Speaker 1>week and said I'm not going away I'm not taking
<v Speaker 1>a vacation, right. He made it very clear that he's
<v Speaker 1>not just going to disappear for weeks and weeks, but
<v Speaker 1>he disappeared for one week at least on Monday. Is
<v Speaker 1>he going to be there on Friday? See I'm punk
<v Speaker 1>to SmackDown makes all the sense in the world. But
<v Speaker 1>they have not hinted at that. They have not said
<v Speaker 1>anything about the outside of his interaction with Cody, They
<v Speaker 1>have not said anything about what his status is. I
<v Speaker 1>would have to think he is going to end up
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown. I don't know what he does. If he
<v Speaker 1>stays on wrong, what does he do? What do you
<v Speaker 1>do with him? I don't want to see him in
<v Speaker 1>seth Rollins again, and Rollins is busy anyway. Clearly Roman
<v Speaker 1>and Punk their stories have now diverted. Roman will be
<v Speaker 1>doing his thing, Punk will be doing his thing. If
<v Speaker 1>Punk is not going back after the World Heavyweight Championship,
<v Speaker 1>he has to go to SmackDown. So I would suspect
<v Speaker 1>that we will see him on the show this Friday.
<v Speaker 1>But let's talk about the show for tonight. Let's talk
<v Speaker 1>about Monday, because it is Monday, and this is your
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw Review thank you guys for hanging out
<v Speaker 1>with me, as I know many of you do each
<v Speaker 1>and every single week. Hit that like button and hit
<v Speaker 1>that subscribe button as well well. Over ninety two thousand
<v Speaker 1>now in counting, and super chats are open. I will
<v Speaker 1>be reading all of your messages as they come in. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Matthew Hunter, thank you for the sub Welcome to the channel.
<v Speaker 1>And also, if you missed it, episode nine to sixty
<v Speaker 1>of the sound Off went up yesterday, over two hours
<v Speaker 1>of content, a lot of good stuff in there. I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate the feedback. Number two today on the wrestling podcast
<v Speaker 1>charts here in the US, all the way up to
<v Speaker 1>the number two spot. That's because of you guys, So
<v Speaker 1>thank you for that. Let's do a little thing that
<v Speaker 1>we do here at the beginning, we'll spin the wheel
<v Speaker 1>and find out what our like skull is. This is
<v Speaker 1>how many times I need you guys to hit the
<v Speaker 1>thumbs up tonight we're going to do be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna need you to smash that button six hundred times,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't know about that or two seventy one
<v Speaker 1>right now, So six hundred that's the goal for be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker tonight. They kicked things off here with some
<v Speaker 1>highlights from the end of the show last week, the
<v Speaker 1>confrontation that face to face between Roman Reigns and Jacob
<v Speaker 1>Fatu and the way things were left where Roman said,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to give you one week because Jacob wants
<v Speaker 1>the World Heavyweight Championship. I'm going to give you one
<v Speaker 1>week to think things over. United, we stand, divided, we fall.
<v Speaker 1>Do you really want to divide the family? I'll give
<v Speaker 1>you seven days. So then they pitched it to a
<v Speaker 1>pre tape vignette Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jay Usso they
<v Speaker 1>were sitting at the head of the table and Roman
<v Speaker 1>said he didn't understand where Jacob was coming from, said
<v Speaker 1>that everybody had a couple of years to take advantage
<v Speaker 1>of the fact that he was no longer on top,
<v Speaker 1>and Jacob procrastinated and now he wants what belongs to him.
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy doesn't disagree, but he gets to Jacob, you know,
<v Speaker 1>wanting to upgrade his life style and his household, but
<v Speaker 1>it shouldn't come at the cost of Roman in the family,
<v Speaker 1>and Jay says that Jacob is dangerous. He laid out
<v Speaker 1>all the MFTs by himself on fro which I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it's not terribly difficult to do. But he laid out
<v Speaker 1>all of the MFTs on SmackDown on Friday Night's Unpredictable.
<v Speaker 1>Says that there needs to be consequences, and Roman says
<v Speaker 1>that Jay is right, we're not doing charity here. So
<v Speaker 1>Roman says he's gonna chew on it. He's gonna handle
<v Speaker 1>it later tonight. And Jay said family first, and they
<v Speaker 1>all put their hands out. Roman put his hand on
<v Speaker 1>theirs and said the first family. So if there was
<v Speaker 1>ever any doubt coming out of WrestleMania, the Bloodline is
<v Speaker 1>officially back together as a group. We're back to the
<v Speaker 1>Bloodline here. The only question is do they add any
<v Speaker 1>new members? Is Jacob gonna end up linking up with them?
<v Speaker 1>Had a solo factor into this. Is he going to
<v Speaker 1>disband the MFTs or We don't know, but the blood
<v Speaker 1>Line is, to be honest with you, the Bloodline never
<v Speaker 1>really left. If we're being honest, the Bloodline never really
<v Speaker 1>went away. They just kind of took a back seat
<v Speaker 1>for a while, and now they're back seth Rollins made
<v Speaker 1>his entrance, came to the ring for a promo. So
<v Speaker 1>the reason he lost to Gunther at WrestleMania wasn't because
<v Speaker 1>Gunther was better than him on that night. There was
<v Speaker 1>a reason that Roman Reigns is walking around with a
<v Speaker 1>world heavyweight title, and it's not because Roman pinned him.
<v Speaker 1>The reason for both of those things is Bron Breaker
<v Speaker 1>and Rollinson. He knew Breaker was backstage with nine staples
<v Speaker 1>in his head. Boy, you know Breaker's got nine staples
<v Speaker 1>in his head. Soul Ruka has eight right coming out
<v Speaker 1>of Smack, coming out of NXT. What is going on
<v Speaker 1>in this company? These people got to be more careful
<v Speaker 1>at seventeen staples right there? How many more staples do
<v Speaker 1>we need? So he said, you're welcome for that. Because
<v Speaker 1>Rolin's is the one who accidentally busted open the back
<v Speaker 1>of his head with the lip of that steel chair.
<v Speaker 1>So Rolin says he gave Braun everything on a silver platter,
<v Speaker 1>and he repaid him by taking everything away from him.
<v Speaker 1>Bron was the reason that he lost that championship, did
<v Speaker 1>not main event WrestleMania, and didn't win his match. How
<v Speaker 1>did it benefit Braun in any way? So Breaker had
<v Speaker 1>come out with Paul Hayman, he had joined Rollins in
<v Speaker 1>the ring, and now it was time for Breaker to answer,
<v Speaker 1>it's time for his response, and Bron says that he
<v Speaker 1>and Bronson Reid they were Seth's errand boys put out
<v Speaker 1>fires for him. He and Reid had to sit back
<v Speaker 1>and listen to Seth recite the same crap every single week.
<v Speaker 1>Bron never needed Seth, he never needed his vision. The
<v Speaker 1>only reason that they're standing here is he needed Paul Hayman.
<v Speaker 1>And Rollins was taken aback by this. You need him
<v Speaker 1>a tubagoo over there, that bag of bones, that guy.
<v Speaker 1>So he talked about how you know he wanted Rollins did.
<v Speaker 1>Wanted to go to NXT a few years ago and
<v Speaker 1>fight their best, and Shawn Michael said, our best is
<v Speaker 1>Bron Breaker, and Rolin said, hell yeah, bring him on.
<v Speaker 1>And then after that, Hayman asked Seth about a year
<v Speaker 1>later about taking Bron Breaker under their wing, and again
<v Speaker 1>Seth said, hell yeah, let's bring him aboard. Brons has
<v Speaker 1>it all. Seth says he's seen everyone come through here
<v Speaker 1>fourteen years in this company, and Breaker is the most
<v Speaker 1>versatile athlete that he's ever seen. Bron has everything to
<v Speaker 1>be the next big star in this industry except the
<v Speaker 1>most important thing. Seth points up here, at his head.
<v Speaker 1>Seth knows how it is to be a young cat,
<v Speaker 1>thinking the business owes him everything, and betting himself and
<v Speaker 1>taking chances. The difference is Bron tried, Seth succeeded, and
<v Speaker 1>every time Seth bet on himself had ended up with
<v Speaker 1>a main event or a world championship. For Breaker, he
<v Speaker 1>got Austin theory and logan Paul and happy endings with
<v Speaker 1>Paul Hayman, which is a horrific image and I really
<v Speaker 1>don't ever want to hear about that ever. Again. Those
<v Speaker 1>are words that should simply never go together. So Rollins
<v Speaker 1>tells Breaker he's not ready, and Braun responds back and
<v Speaker 1>says that he's well on his way to being a
<v Speaker 1>main eventor with or without Seth. Rollins even before the vision,
<v Speaker 1>he was well on his way to being a big star.
<v Speaker 1>He says. Seth's body can't handle it, his mind is
<v Speaker 1>too brittle, and his shoulder can't handle the weight of
<v Speaker 1>the strap anymore. Rollins is a first ballot Hall of Famer,
<v Speaker 1>the best pro wrestler in the entire world of being
<v Speaker 1>number two, and Seth tells Baby Steiner that you're pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>Did you call Big Pop a pump? For your hookup
<v Speaker 1>backlashes two weeks away. Seth is going to give Braun
<v Speaker 1>the opportunity to prove that he is ready. He goes Steiner,
<v Speaker 1>you're not even number two in your own family, and
<v Speaker 1>Seth drops the mic and he leaves the ring. For
<v Speaker 1>the record, I'm just gonna go out, go ahead and
<v Speaker 1>say it. Breaker is already better than his father, so
<v Speaker 1>I would wager that he is, in fact the number
<v Speaker 1>two Steiner. I can't put him above Scott, I will
<v Speaker 1>put him above Rick. As far as the exchange here,
<v Speaker 1>I mean they had a good back and forth. We're
<v Speaker 1>lighting the world on fire. Not a lot of intensity
<v Speaker 1>here or anything like that, but it was fine. You
<v Speaker 1>know that. It was a fine segment to set up
<v Speaker 1>the match that I think we all knew was coming.
<v Speaker 1>This was going to be the WrestleMania match. Even though
<v Speaker 1>Breaker had already been clear and going into WrestleMania, they
<v Speaker 1>didn't want to rush it. They wanted to wait a
<v Speaker 1>few extra weeks. Otherwise we would have had this match
<v Speaker 1>in Las Vegas. We're getting it a backlash, and and
<v Speaker 1>I think it's only gonna be the first. This is
<v Speaker 1>not gonna be a one and done they're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>a match of backlash. They may have a rematch a
<v Speaker 1>clash in Italy. This is just match number one between
<v Speaker 1>these two. Now we go backstage. Stephanie Viquer is walking
<v Speaker 1>presumably she's walking towards the ring and she's got her
<v Speaker 1>new T shirt on and she gets ambushed by Raquel Rodriguez.
<v Speaker 1>Roxanne Perez appears on screen and gets a big pot
<v Speaker 1>because they're in Laredo, Texas, which is her hometown. But
<v Speaker 1>she grabs an equipment case as Raquel is holding Stephanie
<v Speaker 1>down on the ground and she rams the equipment case
<v Speaker 1>into Stephanie. Liv Morgan is standing nearby. She leans down
<v Speaker 1>to tell Stephanie, now this is over because this is
<v Speaker 1>my championship. And the judgment they walk away and I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching this and my first thought is they're writing this
<v Speaker 1>woman off. She must have an injury. Later in the show,
<v Speaker 1>we got the update from Michael Cole who said that
<v Speaker 1>Stephanie suffered a second degree ac sprain of the shoulder
<v Speaker 1>and she could be out for a little bit. A
<v Speaker 1>little bit is kind of vague. I mean that could
<v Speaker 1>be two weeks, that could be two months. I suspect
<v Speaker 1>she won't be gone for too long, but there must
<v Speaker 1>be some sort of injury issue, and this was their
<v Speaker 1>way of writing her off television. So I thought this
<v Speaker 1>would be a rematch of Backlash, and now it looks
<v Speaker 1>like we're not going to get the match at all,
<v Speaker 1>at least not for a while. Half an hour into
<v Speaker 1>the show, we got our first actual match. We finally
<v Speaker 1>got some in ring action here Penta non title one
<v Speaker 1>on one against RUSSEV. Probably released, says Alexan. No, they
<v Speaker 1>are not releasing Stephanie Vicaire. I talk about being stunned
<v Speaker 1>about Kyrie. That would stun me. They're not releasing Stephanie.
<v Speaker 1>This was a receipt for the smashing of the heads
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago. Yeah, I mean I would say
<v Speaker 1>that Live probably has good reason to be angry about that.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, Ethan Page made his way out after the
<v Speaker 1>bell rang. He comes down to the ring and he's
<v Speaker 1>going to take a ringside seat to watch this match.
<v Speaker 1>Look at this guy already. This is only his second
<v Speaker 1>week on the show and he's already involved in the
<v Speaker 1>title scene. I think he's going to do very well
<v Speaker 1>for himself on Raw. So they pointed out that Penta
<v Speaker 1>is undefeated so far in twenty twenty six. The two
<v Speaker 1>of them, they were fighting up on the top rope.
<v Speaker 1>Russev got knocked off, Penta came off with a crossbody.
<v Speaker 1>Russev then blocked a Mexican destroyer attempt, hit a Machka kick,
<v Speaker 1>and he was setting up for the accolade. Penta slips out.
<v Speaker 1>Pented then tease some sort of springboard move, but he
<v Speaker 1>held onto the rope because he he had a sense
<v Speaker 1>the Machka kick was coming, and it was and Rusev missed,
<v Speaker 1>and then Penta rolled him up and picked up the win.
<v Speaker 1>So even in a non title situation, Rusev still cannot
<v Speaker 1>pick up a win. I'm actually glad because it would
<v Speaker 1>have been very easy for them. Oh, it's non titles,
<v Speaker 1>so we'll beat the champion Pentus. I didn't even realize
<v Speaker 1>that Penta is unbeaten so far this year. So that's
<v Speaker 1>the case. Keep him strong. He's the champ. He should win,
<v Speaker 1>and so that's what he did. Now, Russev attacked him.
<v Speaker 1>When the match was over, Ethan Page got into the ring.
<v Speaker 1>He tried to join in. Russev didn't really need his help.
<v Speaker 1>He wasn't very interested Penta starts fighting back though, and
<v Speaker 1>so Ethan comes back. He attacks Penta from behind. Now
<v Speaker 1>the two of them are both putting the boots to
<v Speaker 1>the champ and this brings out Javon Evans. He runs
<v Speaker 1>out to make the save and at the end of
<v Speaker 1>all this he drops Russev with an og cutter. Him
<v Speaker 1>and Penta come face to face. The two of them
<v Speaker 1>shake hands and raise each other's arm. So this feels
<v Speaker 1>like a tag team match is incoming. Possibly next week,
<v Speaker 1>we got a pre tape with El Grande Americano Kaiser
<v Speaker 1>flanked by Ryo and Bravo. He cut the promo half
<v Speaker 1>in Spanish and then the back half in English, talking
<v Speaker 1>about his upcoming mask versus mask match at the Triple
<v Speaker 1>A show, which I believe is coming up on May thirtieth.
<v Speaker 1>I want to say, and to prepare, this is going
<v Speaker 1>to be him against Al Grande Gable, and so to
<v Speaker 1>prepare for this, he wanted to challenge the biggest Lucha
<v Speaker 1>Libra star that there is right here in Laredo, Texas.
<v Speaker 1>He wanted to issue a challenge, not an open challenge,
<v Speaker 1>to Ramisteria and the crowd sheared this and we did
<v Speaker 1>end up getting that match. Later on in the show
<v Speaker 1>after this, we have Becky Lynch coming out for an
<v Speaker 1>entring promo, the new Women's Intercontinental Champion. She talked about
<v Speaker 1>how she got rid of aj Lee once and for all.
<v Speaker 1>She said that she became the first wrestler in history
<v Speaker 1>to win four different championships at wrestle many of the
<v Speaker 1>first three time Women's inter Continental champion, and now has
<v Speaker 1>the most matches of any female superstar ever in the
<v Speaker 1>history of WrestleMania. And then she warned she was coming
<v Speaker 1>after the Undertaker's undefeated streak I guess, or his record
<v Speaker 1>whatever at WrestleMania. So all of that was wonderful, but
<v Speaker 1>what happened after the match, she said, was more important.
<v Speaker 1>She looked out the sea of fifty thousand fans in
<v Speaker 1>the Las Vegas and she saw her, her little girl,
<v Speaker 1>sitting in the front row. So she took her daughter
<v Speaker 1>up the ramp and to the back, and she realized
<v Speaker 1>she needed to show her what a real champion looked like.
<v Speaker 1>And it wasn't about the five star hotels, the private
<v Speaker 1>jets of the fancy tour buses. It wasn't about going
<v Speaker 1>to the biggest cities. It was about showing up in
<v Speaker 1>run down towns like Laredo and showing up for the
<v Speaker 1>common folk. She said that she knew the fans wanted
<v Speaker 1>something new and shiny and exciting, and so she was
<v Speaker 1>going to issue an open challenge to any woman who
<v Speaker 1>wanted to come down to the ring and challenge her
<v Speaker 1>for her Women's Intercontinental title. Eo Sky makes her entrance
<v Speaker 1>and she joined Becky in the ring. She told Becky
<v Speaker 1>that she accepts her challenge. Becky then said, well, I
<v Speaker 1>mean I talked about wanting to face the best of
<v Speaker 1>the best. I wanted something new and shiny and exciting,
<v Speaker 1>and you are none of those things. So she wondered
<v Speaker 1>if EO was accepting on behalf of Rhea Ripley, the
<v Speaker 1>member of their tag team who actually has gold, and
<v Speaker 1>Becky said that she wanted to face Sean Michaels, not
<v Speaker 1>Marty Jeannetti, and I have to say, as dated as
<v Speaker 1>that reference is at this point where it's a nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety two reference, the crowd reacted in a big way
<v Speaker 1>to it, which actually kind of warmed my heart. Kudos
<v Speaker 1>to the crowd in Laredo, Texas for getting the reference
<v Speaker 1>and then reacting to it. Because I was worried like
<v Speaker 1>she was going to mention this fucking Marty Jeannetti reference
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty six in front of these crowds. It
<v Speaker 1>was just going to be like a totally dead respond
<v Speaker 1>and they actually responded to that. So EO then popped
<v Speaker 1>Becky in the face and Becky scrambled out to the
<v Speaker 1>floor and she went to go exit through the timekeepers area,
<v Speaker 1>but before she can make her way through, alex Adam
<v Speaker 1>Pearce we hear his disemboweled voice. He comes out from
<v Speaker 1>the back. He says, hold up, Becky, hold up, said
<v Speaker 1>you issued an open challenge and it was accepted by
<v Speaker 1>EO and so therefore the match is official, and he
<v Speaker 1>called for a referee to come out. So we ended
<v Speaker 1>up getting for the women's Intercontinental title. We had Becky
<v Speaker 1>Lynch defending against EO Sky. So Michael Cole mentioned that
<v Speaker 1>EO and Rhea they beat the Kabooki Warriors last week,
<v Speaker 1>and Corey Graves said that Oscar was so upset that
<v Speaker 1>we wouldn't be seeing her former pupil for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>Never made any mention of Kyrie saying, I mean that
<v Speaker 1>was as close as they came to mentioning her name.
<v Speaker 1>So during the match, EO delivered a sunset flip power
<v Speaker 1>bomb to Becky on the floor That was ahead of
<v Speaker 1>a commercial break, after which Becky hit a superplex floated
<v Speaker 1>over into a DDT for a near fall. EO countered
<v Speaker 1>out of a manhandle slam. She dropped Becky with a
<v Speaker 1>butterfly backbreaker, and then EO went for the moon saw. Becky,
<v Speaker 1>though got her feet up on the way down and
<v Speaker 1>then hit the manhandle slam, only got a near fall
<v Speaker 1>out of it. Now outside the ring, EO followed up
<v Speaker 1>with a springboard moonsal, and while the referee was checking
<v Speaker 1>on Becky, who was back in the ring. Now, EO
<v Speaker 1>was on the apron and she was about to set
<v Speaker 1>up for something. Here comes Oska. Now, before before this,
<v Speaker 1>EO took her boot off. I don't know what that
<v Speaker 1>was about. Maybe she had rocks in her shoe. I
<v Speaker 1>have no fucking idea. So she took her boot off first,
<v Speaker 1>and then she got up on the apron. She was
<v Speaker 1>about to do a springboard something. Oscar it comes running
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring. She trips her up and that
<v Speaker 1>allowed Becky to hit one more men handle slam for
<v Speaker 1>the win to retain the championship. So after the match
<v Speaker 1>was over, Osca put Eo in the Oscar lock. Eo
<v Speaker 1>was tapping out, Oscar wouldn't let go, and ultimately she
<v Speaker 1>went unconscious and then Oscar stood over her body as
<v Speaker 1>the crowd chanted we want Kyrie. I couldn't hear they
<v Speaker 1>were chanting it earlier. I know they just chanted it
<v Speaker 1>this one time, and it wasn't like it was overwhelming
<v Speaker 1>throughout the entire show or anything, but they definitely chanted
<v Speaker 1>it here. The match itself was actually very good, was
<v Speaker 1>a very good TV match here between these two, and
<v Speaker 1>they got some time. I didn't time it out exactly,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm I'm pretty sure they got close to fifteen
<v Speaker 1>minutes here for this match. So this was good stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And then as far as Eo and Oscar, again, like
<v Speaker 1>I said before, it's great that we're finally going to
<v Speaker 1>get the match, and I I certainly hope they give
<v Speaker 1>these you know, women plenty of time. It's just not
<v Speaker 1>going to be the same though, the whole point of
<v Speaker 1>it was that you build to this big climactic moment
<v Speaker 1>and you pay off this storyline, this relationship, all these
<v Speaker 1>segments that we've had now for months on end, and
<v Speaker 1>now we're not going to get that. You know, we're
<v Speaker 1>not going to get that payoff, and it sucks. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad we're finally getting it. But once we get it,
<v Speaker 1>I guess these two will just move on to something
<v Speaker 1>else and Kyrie will be but a distant memory. At
<v Speaker 1>least Kyrie finally got away from Oscar. I like to
<v Speaker 1>think in storyline, Kyrie said, you know what, I'm not
<v Speaker 1>going to put up with this shit anymore. She just
<v Speaker 1>flew herself home just to get away from this woman.
<v Speaker 1>I'm booking my own angle here in my head since
<v Speaker 1>WWE was too fucking lazy to do it themselves. We
<v Speaker 1>go backstage El Grande Gable having a conversation in the
<v Speaker 1>back with Raymysteria, and he wanted to know of Ray,
<v Speaker 1>you know, because he saw the conversation that Ray had
<v Speaker 1>earlier on with Kaiser. Now he wants to know, do
<v Speaker 1>I have to watch my back when I face Kaiser
<v Speaker 1>in our Mass versus Mass match next month? And Ray
<v Speaker 1>said no, All I wanted to do is just I
<v Speaker 1>want to play it down the middle. I'm not choosing
<v Speaker 1>sides here. He said that all I want is for
<v Speaker 1>the two of you to respect Lucha librae. That's it.
<v Speaker 1>So Kaiser and the Americanos show up. Gable told him
<v Speaker 1>mind your own business, and they started bickering back and forth,
<v Speaker 1>and Ray had to shout them down and said, I'm
<v Speaker 1>not choosing sides here. So then elsewhere Byron Saxton is
<v Speaker 1>talking to the Usos and Jimmy says that the OTC
<v Speaker 1>will make his decision when he is ready. I love
<v Speaker 1>how Ala it only took a few weeks for these
<v Speaker 1>guys to be back in like lockstat with Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 1>like they they were their own men, and now all
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden, they're back to being his basically his
<v Speaker 1>Aaron boys and falling in line and everything's about the
<v Speaker 1>OTC and they're taking a back seat. It was so quick.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently they have no issue with this. So La Knight
<v Speaker 1>walks up and now La Night teen with these guys, right,
<v Speaker 1>they won a match at WrestleMania this year, La Knight
<v Speaker 1>walks in. He wants to remind them of who they are.
<v Speaker 1>Jay won the World Heavyweight Championship on his own. Jimmy
<v Speaker 1>has all the potential to be World Heavyweight Champion, but
<v Speaker 1>he won't do so under the thumb of Roman reigns.
<v Speaker 1>So Jay tells him, you need to shut up, and
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy says that it's family business, and Knight said, well
<v Speaker 1>the bloodline. You know you guys, you ran roughshod over
<v Speaker 1>this place. But power eventually corrupts and that's when it
<v Speaker 1>becomes his business. So now it was time for the
<v Speaker 1>raw debut of the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 1>He was going to be in concert. Now again, I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching with the so I'm seeing everything during the commercial breaks,
<v Speaker 1>he got a jobber entrance for the TV audience. He
<v Speaker 1>got his entrance during the commercial so when they came
<v Speaker 1>back live, he was already in the ring. This is
<v Speaker 1>first night on the show. How are you going to
<v Speaker 1>give this man a jobber entrant? I his theme song
<v Speaker 1>is like the biggest part of his act. This is
<v Speaker 1>his raw debut. They didn't even allow his song to
<v Speaker 1>play through on the actual TV show. Unbelievable. So he's
<v Speaker 1>sitting in the ring already, He's got his guitars there
<v Speaker 1>and he's sitting in the ring. He said he had
<v Speaker 1>a big decision to make lately, and so he's going
<v Speaker 1>to tell us about it in a song. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>going to sing the song to you. I'm just going
<v Speaker 1>to recite the lyrics to you that he came up
<v Speaker 1>with for this song. He's won the title everywhere he goes.
<v Speaker 1>He's been on WrestleMania and many other shows. But by
<v Speaker 1>the time or but the time has come for him
<v Speaker 1>to pick one brand, and he hopes the other brands
<v Speaker 1>will understand that Joe Hendry's on Raw. The next time
<v Speaker 1>you turn on Netflix, you won't just have to chill.
<v Speaker 1>There will be a whole new thrill. Respect to the ruler,
<v Speaker 1>he acknowledges the OTC, but he needs Adam Pierce to
<v Speaker 1>fire logan Paul, Can we fire logan Paul? And he
<v Speaker 1>asked the fans to join in, and they're singing, can
<v Speaker 1>we fire logan Paul? Fire Logan Paul? And Corey Graves said,
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember if it was here or if it
<v Speaker 1>was later on when Michael Cole on Commentary started singing
<v Speaker 1>the same thing, fire logan Paul, fire logan pol But
<v Speaker 1>Corey Graves said, it's not funny to joke about someone
<v Speaker 1>losing their job, and I would say, yeah, it's at
<v Speaker 1>a little tone deaf. I think for this, considering what
<v Speaker 1>happened a few days ago, maybe just a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>So the vision comes out. Logan Paul is not very
<v Speaker 1>happy about being told that he should be fired, and
<v Speaker 1>he is just he's overacting and he's just throwing a
<v Speaker 1>whole fit. I mean, he was really overacting here and
<v Speaker 1>just beside himself, and he says that you can't fire me.
<v Speaker 1>I'm unfireable. He says, says that Joe Hendry made the
<v Speaker 1>worst mistake of his life. Your first night will be
<v Speaker 1>your last. So then Theory was able to speak, said
<v Speaker 1>their tag team belt to make him and Logan winners.
<v Speaker 1>Henry said that he watched wrestle Mannie. He saw a
<v Speaker 1>couple of primetime losers. So Theory shoved Henry, who then
<v Speaker 1>struck his pose where he turns his back and then
<v Speaker 1>he turns around and they zoom in on him. He's
<v Speaker 1>all angry. He tries to fight these two guys off
<v Speaker 1>by himself. They overwhelm him. He's out numbered. So here
<v Speaker 1>come Montes Ford in Angelo Dawkins. They hit the ring.
<v Speaker 1>They send Logan out to the floor. Ford goes up
<v Speaker 1>top for a frog splash Logan and they'll pull his
<v Speaker 1>theory out to the floor and Joe Hendry does his dive. Now,
<v Speaker 1>he does this dive where he'll charge towards the ropes.
<v Speaker 1>It's like he's vaulting over the top rope and he
<v Speaker 1>just throws his entire body, and I mean he's putting
<v Speaker 1>his full faith and trust for somebody to catch him.
<v Speaker 1>And so he takes out the Vision with this big dive.
<v Speaker 1>You know what the best heel move would be, Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 1>He throws his entire body one day out over the
<v Speaker 1>top rope and they pull a Samoa Joe Nope, and
<v Speaker 1>they just sort of step aside and Joe Hendry just
<v Speaker 1>fucking splats on the ground. I don't think that the
<v Speaker 1>guys in the back would appreciate that very much. I'm
<v Speaker 1>just saying, though, if you're a heel, can't think of
<v Speaker 1>a better heel move than that. See, he wipes out
<v Speaker 1>the Vision, gets back in the ring and he celebrates
<v Speaker 1>with the street profits and they're all swaying and they're
<v Speaker 1>throwing their hands back and forth to the music. As
<v Speaker 1>far as his debut, I mean, look, if you are
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine that everybody listening to this or watching
<v Speaker 1>this right now, you know who Joe Hendry is. You've
<v Speaker 1>seen Joe Hendry TNA n XT. He wrestled Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>to WrestleMania. You know who Joe Hendry is. If you
<v Speaker 1>are somebody who does not know who Joe Hendry is,
<v Speaker 1>or if you only know him from the limited stuff
<v Speaker 1>he's done, you know again, maybe an NXT you may
<v Speaker 1>not be aware of the fact that what helped get
<v Speaker 1>this guy over in the first place were these songs
<v Speaker 1>that he would do and he would be feuding with
<v Speaker 1>somebody in TNA and he would write a song about them,
<v Speaker 1>insulting them, and that and his theme song. That's really
<v Speaker 1>what got him got him over in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>So it can be entertaining that every song is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a winner. Obviously, I think with the audience
<v Speaker 1>it's a good way, like he'll get over that way.
<v Speaker 1>He's a very creative guy. I'm not saying he has
<v Speaker 1>to come up with new songs every single week. I
<v Speaker 1>think he'll do well. You know, I get questions from
<v Speaker 1>time to time about people, Oh, do you think this
<v Speaker 1>guy's going to be a success on the main roster.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think this gimmickal work on the main roster?
<v Speaker 1>And I've gotten that question about a lot of people,
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen, some of the people from NXT, and I've
<v Speaker 1>gotten questions like that about Joe Henry. How far do
<v Speaker 1>you think he'll go on the main roster? You know,
<v Speaker 1>what's his ceiling on the main roster? I think Joe
<v Speaker 1>Henry is gonna get over just fine, just like Dan Housen. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen is more over than Joe Hendry will be.
<v Speaker 1>But there were people who probably didn't think Dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>would be over on the main roster, and look at
<v Speaker 1>the success he's had so far. I'm not worried about
<v Speaker 1>that for him. I think his ceiling, though, is going
<v Speaker 1>to be limited to either the Intercontinental title, you know,
<v Speaker 1>being on Raw, or maybe the US title. To me,
<v Speaker 1>that's his ceiling. I'm not saying that, you know, he
<v Speaker 1>can't mingle with the main eventors from time to time
<v Speaker 1>or be in a tag match with them. Him challenging though,
<v Speaker 1>being a serious challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship. It's
<v Speaker 1>not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen this year, it's
<v Speaker 1>not gonna happen anytime soon. And that's okay. He could
<v Speaker 1>still have a successful run for himself, being a supporting
<v Speaker 1>player in the mid card or the mid kind of
<v Speaker 1>upper mid card of the show. That's where I see
<v Speaker 1>him settling. I just don't I don't see him the
<v Speaker 1>way he was in TNA or NXT, where he was
<v Speaker 1>the top guy, you know, where he was the world champion.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see that here. I don't see that here.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see that on SmackDown. Doesn't mean that he
<v Speaker 1>can't have success. I think he'll do okay. Now we
<v Speaker 1>go backstage, speaking of people who probably are not going
<v Speaker 1>to be okay, Grayson Waller. He complained to Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 1>about giving everybody else opportunities, where's my opportunity? What about me?
<v Speaker 1>So Pierce was trying to warn him, he said Oba
<v Speaker 1>Femi because Oba was standing behind him, and Waller was
<v Speaker 1>completely oblivious to this, and he just kept talking, and
<v Speaker 1>he said that Femi was overrated and he only beat
<v Speaker 1>Brock because Brock was at the end of his career.
<v Speaker 1>So Waller then turned around to see that Oba Femi
<v Speaker 1>was standing behind him, and Bemi asked Adam Pierce to
<v Speaker 1>make a match between the two of them, and so
<v Speaker 1>Pierce made the match official. Elsewhere in the back, Joe,
<v Speaker 1>Henry and the Street Profits are walking together and exchanging
<v Speaker 1>some compliments, and Seth Rollins walks up to the Street
<v Speaker 1>Profits after Joe exits, and basically he was trying to
<v Speaker 1>like butter up to them. They didn't want to hear
<v Speaker 1>from him. They basically told him, in so many words,
<v Speaker 1>just get lost, And I was like, good, good for them.
<v Speaker 1>Rollins was a fucking idiot. He was a jerk to
<v Speaker 1>so many people on this show. Why would anybody want
<v Speaker 1>to be this guy's friend? That wouldn't make any sense.
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rolins should have no friends on this show. He
<v Speaker 1>alienated everybody on the show. Why would anybody want to
<v Speaker 1>be friends with him? Why would anybody want to partner
<v Speaker 1>up with him? Good on the Street Profits. We got
<v Speaker 1>our own business to deal with. We didn't start coming
<v Speaker 1>out after the vision to save your ass. You deal
<v Speaker 1>with them by yourself. So then we had Raymistereo against
<v Speaker 1>El Gande Americano Kaiser, who I will point out got
<v Speaker 1>an apology earlier today from Rick Flair after his comments
<v Speaker 1>on the Ariel Helwani Show last week. So I see
<v Speaker 1>the the alcohol finally left his bloodstream. He apologized, so
<v Speaker 1>Ray kicked Grande into the ropes. He was gonna go
<v Speaker 1>for the six to one nine. Bravo tripped up Ray
<v Speaker 1>and so Ryo on the other side, he got up
<v Speaker 1>on the apron. He was trying to help Elgorande load
<v Speaker 1>the mask with a little metal plate. Ray, though, comes
<v Speaker 1>in sixty one nine to them both, so Kaiser was
<v Speaker 1>able to avoid the drop of the dime, and then
<v Speaker 1>he goes to load the mask up, but here's the
<v Speaker 1>og Americano and Ray hits both of them. Og goes
<v Speaker 1>flying to the floor, sixty one nine drop of the dime,
<v Speaker 1>and Ray Masterio picks up the wind so he reaches
<v Speaker 1>down because the little metal plate is now on the floor,
<v Speaker 1>and he picks up the plate and he's basically accusing
<v Speaker 1>both of them of trying to use it, keeps it
<v Speaker 1>and he leaves. Now the two El Grandees are in
<v Speaker 1>the ring together and they start going at it, and
<v Speaker 1>basically what they did here was a much abbreviated poor
<v Speaker 1>man's version of the pull apart they had in tripa
<v Speaker 1>A a few weeks ago before WRESTLEMANI, which was fucking great. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>this was too short to be anything. And if you
<v Speaker 1>listen to the crowd reaction during this crowd didn't give
<v Speaker 1>a shit. It doesn't work here like that pull apart
<v Speaker 1>brawl with the two because Kaiser is so over in
<v Speaker 1>Mexico right now. I mean, he really is one of
<v Speaker 1>the biggest baby faces in the country. Came out of
<v Speaker 1>nowhere with this, and so when they had that, they
<v Speaker 1>did that angle a few weeks ago, and an undertaker
<v Speaker 1>booked this big pull apart brawl between the two of them.
<v Speaker 1>It got over like like Gangbusters. I mean, the reaction
<v Speaker 1>to it, it was like an old school heat angle.
<v Speaker 1>People were losing their minds over this pull apart and
<v Speaker 1>these guys were not hold him back. I mean, they
<v Speaker 1>made it look legit. It was great, best pull upark
<v Speaker 1>brawl I've seen in years. This was a poor copy
<v Speaker 1>of that, and the crowd didn't give a shit because
<v Speaker 1>this angle is not over here. It's super over in Mexico.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that the heat for that mask match
<v Speaker 1>at the end of May is going to be off
<v Speaker 1>the charts, Like I am actually very much looking forward
<v Speaker 1>to seeing that match, But the reaction tonight could not
<v Speaker 1>compare it to the reaction that it got in Mexico.
<v Speaker 1>Even if there were some light chance and it was
<v Speaker 1>nothing by comparison, and then they just cut away to
<v Speaker 1>the very next thing, so it didn't have the same impact.
<v Speaker 1>But I am looking forward to seeing that match. Hopefully
<v Speaker 1>that will be the end of this whole for Gable,
<v Speaker 1>not Kaiser, the end of the whole Americano thing. Obviously.
<v Speaker 1>I'm hoping Gable loses and gets unmasked and then he
<v Speaker 1>can move on with his fucking life and do something else.
<v Speaker 1>For Kaiser, though, I mean, he ride that wave, Ride
<v Speaker 1>that wave, brother, there's no reason to to put an
<v Speaker 1>end to it now. I mean, he's on a roll.
<v Speaker 1>Long may it continue for him. Maybe he can issue
<v Speaker 1>a challenge to Rick Flair. Maybe Flair will come out
<v Speaker 1>of retirement and he will wrestle. And has Rick Flair
<v Speaker 1>ever wrestled in triple A? I don't believe, so, I
<v Speaker 1>don't think he ever had a triple A match. This
<v Speaker 1>week's episode is sponsored by Wicks. You know, we hear
<v Speaker 1>a lot about AI these days. It's the hot topic,
<v Speaker 1>and I to most of it out honestly, But I
<v Speaker 1>gotta tell you, Wis has found a very cool way
<v Speaker 1>to put AI to good use for you and your
<v Speaker 1>business with its new Harmony editor. It's AI website builder
<v Speaker 1>lets you build a business ready website while still giving
<v Speaker 1>you full control to edit anything you want to by hand.
<v Speaker 1>So it's not a case of outsourcing everything to AI.
<v Speaker 1>You're working alongside it and getting the best of both worlds.
<v Speaker 1>How cool is it that you can create an entire
<v Speaker 1>website just by typing in a single prompt and describing
<v Speaker 1>your idea. You can click on any part of your
<v Speaker 1>site and ask Aria, your AI agent, to edit for
<v Speaker 1>you or ask questions that you need answers to. She's
<v Speaker 1>there to help you create faster and more efficiently. Wix
<v Speaker 1>Power is more than two hundred and eighty million businesses
<v Speaker 1>around the world and started offering AI solutions long before
<v Speaker 1>it was cool to do so. Imagine what wis can
<v Speaker 1>do for you now you don't have to take the
<v Speaker 1>leap visit wis dot com slash Harmony. That's wis dot
<v Speaker 1>com slash Harmony. So we learned here that Backlash is
<v Speaker 1>going to feature bron Breaker against seth Rollin's EO Sky
<v Speaker 1>against OSCA. We got a pre tape promo from OSCO
<v Speaker 1>which was very good. She said that when she's done
<v Speaker 1>with EO or she will say when she's done with EO,
<v Speaker 1>she's still her Sendpi and all EO has done is
<v Speaker 1>disappoint her. Osca thought that she did something wrong to
<v Speaker 1>make EO turn against her, but EO is the problem.
<v Speaker 1>She is Oscar's biggest failure. They're both alone now because
<v Speaker 1>Osca doesn't want another EO. Some shade of kyrie there.
<v Speaker 1>So EO killed the family and nothing will stop Oscar
<v Speaker 1>from destroying her and a backlash Oscar will teach her
<v Speaker 1>one last lesson. EO is not and never will be
<v Speaker 1>ready for Oscar. This all just makes me very sad
<v Speaker 1>Oba Femi one on one with Grayson Waller. Oba comes
<v Speaker 1>out shadowy silhouette as he's making his entrance, fucking great entrance,
<v Speaker 1>so the bell rings. Oba clothes lines Waller before tossing
<v Speaker 1>him into the corner, and Waller was able to avoid
<v Speaker 1>one of the shots that he went for. He got
<v Speaker 1>like a minimal amount of offense here. And then he
<v Speaker 1>was outside the ring and he has that move where
<v Speaker 1>he dives in for that rolling cutter, So he went
<v Speaker 1>for the rolling cutter into the ring. Oba just great.
<v Speaker 1>He just picked him up and tossed him aside, and
<v Speaker 1>then the fall from race followed shortly thereafter, and thanks
<v Speaker 1>for coming, Grayson Wallat, don't look at your phone anytime soon.
<v Speaker 1>So Oba then gets on the mic and he asks Laredo,
<v Speaker 1>are you feeling good tonight? He's feeling good too. Grayson
<v Speaker 1>is not, but we don't care about that. Grayson did
<v Speaker 1>say something though, in the back that was right. There
<v Speaker 1>is no opportunity around here, he said, because all the
<v Speaker 1>big champions are locked in with their contenders. But Oba
<v Speaker 1>has a solution to this problem. As of today, he
<v Speaker 1>is starting the Oba Femi Open Challenge. Any man that
<v Speaker 1>wants to prove himself can step up. You will be
<v Speaker 1>stepping up to the ruler, or, as he says, the ruler.
<v Speaker 1>So we now have the Oba Open Challenge. I believe
<v Speaker 1>correct me if I'm wrong. I believe he did this
<v Speaker 1>gimmick already once in NXT. I don't know how long
<v Speaker 1>it lasts. Excuse me, I don't know how long it lasted,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm almost positive when he was the North American Champion,
<v Speaker 1>he did an open challenge gimmick. So it's not even
<v Speaker 1>the first time that we're getting an Oba Femi Open
<v Speaker 1>challenge technically and again to go back to what I
<v Speaker 1>was saying earlier, I think the open challenge is just
<v Speaker 1>relied upon far too often. I wish that it would
<v Speaker 1>be utilized selectively and not well. When we have nothing
<v Speaker 1>better for someone to do, or we can't come up
<v Speaker 1>with a better idea, we'll just have them do an
<v Speaker 1>open challenge. You do it so often. Now Oba's gonna
<v Speaker 1>do it. Oba. Do you realize that the entire reason
<v Speaker 1>that we got Oba and Brock at WrestleMania is because
<v Speaker 1>Brock did an open challenge and Oba accepted. So now
<v Speaker 1>Oba is turning around and doing the exact same thing.
<v Speaker 1>And one of the good things about it is that
<v Speaker 1>it will be a way to get him on the
<v Speaker 1>television show pretty much every single week, which is good
<v Speaker 1>because you want him to be on the show. But again,
<v Speaker 1>the bad news is I hate that we keep going
<v Speaker 1>back to this and how long can you really do this?
<v Speaker 1>You almost can't do it every week even though he's
<v Speaker 1>doing an open challenge. I actually think we're not gonna
<v Speaker 1>see him on the show every week because you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>run out of people, and what are you gonna do?
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna start bringing people from other brands? Are people
<v Speaker 1>from NXT going to come in and accept the open
<v Speaker 1>challenge people from SmackDown. Probably the more I think about this,
<v Speaker 1>probably you gonna have to You're gonna have to use
<v Speaker 1>people from some of the other brands because you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>run out of people. Otherwise you're just gonna end up
<v Speaker 1>with Tozawa and Otis and people of that ilk And
<v Speaker 1>that's just not the kind of thing I think that
<v Speaker 1>you should be doing with Oba Femi. I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>could come up with competition that's a little bit stiffer
<v Speaker 1>than that. But again, the pool of talent they have
<v Speaker 1>access to for this is gonna be somewhat limited. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm more interested in, like, what is their plan for
<v Speaker 1>him by the time we get to the end of
<v Speaker 1>the summer, Like what are we looking at here? Are
<v Speaker 1>we looking at Oba and gun through or are they
<v Speaker 1>going to throw him into the deep end of the
<v Speaker 1>pool a lot quicker than maybe some people think and
<v Speaker 1>actually have him fighting for the championship Because this is
<v Speaker 1>the conundrum. Now, when you have somebody like this who
<v Speaker 1>beats Brock, you give him the Brock push, because if
<v Speaker 1>you don't, what is the alternative he wins the Intercontinental title,
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't need the Intercontinental title. That title should be
<v Speaker 1>reserved for people like Penta and Russev and Ethan page
<v Speaker 1>Right who would benefit from actually being in that division
<v Speaker 1>and fighting for it. Oba has already ascended beyond that.
<v Speaker 1>He's the guy who beat Brock at WrestleMania, his first
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania match. I mean, if that isn't the stamp of approval,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what is. So now it's like, well, shit,
<v Speaker 1>what do we do with this guy? If we're not
<v Speaker 1>ready to have him in there were Roman reigns, yet
<v Speaker 1>the fuck do we do with him? This is the problem.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't mind the open challenge concept. I just
<v Speaker 1>hope they have a really good, you know, payoff to
<v Speaker 1>this idea and it's not just open ended where Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we'll do this until we can actually figure out what
<v Speaker 1>the hell we want to do with this guy. Where
<v Speaker 1>we see him in August, where we see him in July,
<v Speaker 1>in September. I think the Brock push is the way
<v Speaker 1>to go here. I think you put that World Heavyweight
<v Speaker 1>Championship on him a lot sooner than WrestleMania, because if
<v Speaker 1>you don't, it's going to be very difficult. I think
<v Speaker 1>to sustain this. You've done such a good job with him,
<v Speaker 1>Like they could not have handled the Brock stuff any
<v Speaker 1>better with him. I gave them a lot of credit,
<v Speaker 1>a lot of praise for it. But now it's over,
<v Speaker 1>and now you've got to come up with, Okay, what's next,
<v Speaker 1>And there's just not a lot of great options right now.
<v Speaker 1>So I hope what they have in mind for him,
<v Speaker 1>you know, if anybody was going to get the special
<v Speaker 1>treatment as far as like, Okay, let's come up with
<v Speaker 1>a long term plan here for this guy, it's Obafemi.
<v Speaker 1>That's my hope for this. But he's not sniffing that
<v Speaker 1>world title for at least several more months. Got to
<v Speaker 1>find a way to kind of tide him over in
<v Speaker 1>the meantime. I don't know what his injuries status is,
<v Speaker 1>but I kind of want to see a match with
<v Speaker 1>him and Seamus and I, frankly, I think you could
<v Speaker 1>even do a short program out of it, not even
<v Speaker 1>just a one off. Seamus has been out for a while.
<v Speaker 1>I would have to think that he's probably due to
<v Speaker 1>come back any month now. I wouldn't mind seeing that match.
<v Speaker 1>That is a match that I would like to see
<v Speaker 1>very much, But again, I just don't know what his
<v Speaker 1>current status is. Live Morgan she talked to Roxanne Perez
<v Speaker 1>in the back. Morgan wanted to finish the conversation that
<v Speaker 1>they started having before WrestleMania, before Stephanie bashed their heads together,
<v Speaker 1>and Live still has a little bit of a bump
<v Speaker 1>on her. It's funny, you know, Roxanne actually doesn't have
<v Speaker 1>a scratch on her, so if she has anything any
<v Speaker 1>like residual effects from that, like they did the makeup
<v Speaker 1>and you can't even see it. Live Live definitely got
<v Speaker 1>the worst end of that, but she wanted to continue conversation.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently they're barred from speaking to each other when there's
<v Speaker 1>no camera present. Apparently she can only talk to her
<v Speaker 1>on the show, so she's glad she finally got a
<v Speaker 1>hold of her. So Liv said she knows it must
<v Speaker 1>have been tough for Roxanne when she was home to
<v Speaker 1>watch everything that went down with Finn Balor because Balor
<v Speaker 1>and her were very close. Baler is the one who
<v Speaker 1>brought her into the judgment day, but Live said that
<v Speaker 1>they were a family and Balor put himself before the family.
<v Speaker 1>Live would never do that, so she would be in
<v Speaker 1>Roxanne's corner tonight to cheer her on during her match,
<v Speaker 1>and Live asked Roxanne do you trust me? And Roxanne nodded,
<v Speaker 1>told her though, go on without me. So Morgan left
<v Speaker 1>and as soon as Live Morgan left, Finn Balor showed up.
<v Speaker 1>He snuck his way in there and he warned Roxanne
<v Speaker 1>she couldn't trust anybody in the judgment day. Roxanne wondered
<v Speaker 1>if she could trust Finn and she said, look, I
<v Speaker 1>have a match to get ready for. You should leave
<v Speaker 1>before you get hurt. Finn wished her luck and hopes
<v Speaker 1>that she knows what she's doing, and that led into
<v Speaker 1>the tag team match. It was Bailey and Lyra Valkyria
<v Speaker 1>taking on Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. Roxy got a
<v Speaker 1>great hometown reaction. These people gave her a standing ovation
<v Speaker 1>when she tagged into this match. They were so happy
<v Speaker 1>to see her as a big homecoming for her. They
<v Speaker 1>actually booed Bailey and Lyra when they were in there
<v Speaker 1>against Roxanne. So Perez set Bailey up for pop rocks
<v Speaker 1>at one point, she was able to avoid it. She
<v Speaker 1>had a Bailey to belly for a two count. After
<v Speaker 1>Rodriguez broke up the pin, Live Morgan jumped up on
<v Speaker 1>the apron, so Bailey went after her. Morgan jumped down,
<v Speaker 1>though she yanked Bailey down across the rope in the process,
<v Speaker 1>and that distraction, it's not even a distraction. I mean
<v Speaker 1>that interference allowed Roxanne to hit a shining whiz and
<v Speaker 1>then pop Rocks for the win. They actually gave her
<v Speaker 1>a win here in her hometown. They resisted temptation. It
<v Speaker 1>was always a Vince thing, but we've seen Triple Ah
<v Speaker 1>do it too, Like when someone's in their hometown, you're
<v Speaker 1>very tempted to beat them in their hometown. Right, It's
<v Speaker 1>great heat, It did the right thing. They gave her
<v Speaker 1>a big win. Everybody was happy. Nothing special about the
<v Speaker 1>match itself. It was really all about rox Enne and
<v Speaker 1>it was very cool to see her get that kind
<v Speaker 1>of reaction, which she never does, I mean, not like that.
<v Speaker 1>So that was cool. So I guess the question now
<v Speaker 1>is like, is Roxanne going babyface? If so when I
<v Speaker 1>see I don't see her in Balor branching off like
<v Speaker 1>together to like start their own group or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>Balor and the judgment day clearly there's still you know,
<v Speaker 1>a story there that they're pursuing. Where does Roxanne stay
<v Speaker 1>does Roxanne leave. I think if money in the bank
<v Speaker 1>was in June like it was last year, the timing
<v Speaker 1>would be perfect because June is not that far away,
<v Speaker 1>and you could drag this out until June and have
<v Speaker 1>Roxane win money in the bank there, and then it
<v Speaker 1>would just feed in so perfectly going into Summer Slam,
<v Speaker 1>depending on like when they would want her to cash
<v Speaker 1>in as far as her like teasing a potential cash
<v Speaker 1>in and Live's got the World Championship and it creates
<v Speaker 1>all this drama. Money in the bank though this year
<v Speaker 1>is not until after Summer Slam. It's the latest it's
<v Speaker 1>ever been. It's the beginning of September. It's still a
<v Speaker 1>ways away. I don't know if they're just going to
<v Speaker 1>drag this out until then, but it's the Judgment Day,
<v Speaker 1>so of course they will. Of course they will. Do
<v Speaker 1>you know how long they've dragged out some of this
<v Speaker 1>Judgment Day shit in the past years, literal years. What's
<v Speaker 1>another few months for WWA. They'll stall this out as
<v Speaker 1>long as possible. I'm still sticking with Roxanne though, was
<v Speaker 1>my early pick to win that briefcase this year, and
<v Speaker 1>then we were down to the closing segments Soul Ruka
<v Speaker 1>needs to be women's champion. Dude, she hasn't signed her
<v Speaker 1>contract yet, You're already putting the title on her. She's
<v Speaker 1>not Obafemi. She does not need the title right away.
<v Speaker 1>We got people of the chat that are already booking
<v Speaker 1>Soul to be champion. She hasn't even put pen to
<v Speaker 1>paper yet on her contract. Let's not get carried away here.
<v Speaker 1>Not everybody should be getting the Brock push. Okay, that
<v Speaker 1>should be a reserve for a very select few Roman
<v Speaker 1>reigns being one of them. But he doesn't need the
<v Speaker 1>Brock push. He's been getting the Brock push for ten
<v Speaker 1>years now. He came out for the closing segment. Every
<v Speaker 1>time I hear that Og tribal chief thing, Oh man,
<v Speaker 1>that song is it's so much better than that last
<v Speaker 1>song he had. Oh my god, you know, the last
<v Speaker 1>song he had wasn't terrible, but it was not anything
<v Speaker 1>like the Og theme. He gets into the ring and
<v Speaker 1>he does his usual ora farming and takes his time.
<v Speaker 1>He says, they made this title in spite of me
<v Speaker 1>to try to take away from my shine, but it
<v Speaker 1>never worked. There's an old saying the title don't make
<v Speaker 1>the man the man makes the title, and that's exactly
<v Speaker 1>what he's done with this strap. He put it in
<v Speaker 1>the nine I WrestleMania main event for the first time,
<v Speaker 1>said he made this title relevant. Now you can finally
<v Speaker 1>be proud of this title. You can respect this title.
<v Speaker 1>You can choose to acknowledge this title. Laredo, Texas acknowledge me,
<v Speaker 1>and they all did so. That brought Jacob Fatu out
<v Speaker 1>to the ring and Roman told him perfect timing. I
<v Speaker 1>was just getting to you. I gave you a week.
<v Speaker 1>I gave you time to think. And he said he
<v Speaker 1>was hoping that Jacob made the right choice, the choice
<v Speaker 1>to unite their family and not divide it. So Fatu said,
<v Speaker 1>you gave me a week. I didn't need a week.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't need a day. I didn't even need an
<v Speaker 1>hour to think about it. He didn't hesitate when he
<v Speaker 1>told him that he didn't want that title, but he
<v Speaker 1>needs that title. And Jacob said that Roman must be
<v Speaker 1>stuck in tribal chief land. Roman hasn't grinded like him.
<v Speaker 1>Twelve years of hard work, twelve years of grinding and suffering,
<v Speaker 1>not knowing when the next meal was going to be.
<v Speaker 1>When they were in the bloodline, he was broke, trying
<v Speaker 1>to figure out what he was going to do. Is
<v Speaker 1>he going to get here or not? And a small
<v Speaker 1>but noticeable group of idiots in Laredo, Texas. Yes, they
<v Speaker 1>have idiots in Laredo, Texas, just like in New York
<v Speaker 1>and Chicago and Boston and Orlando and everywhere else, started
<v Speaker 1>a what chant during Jacob's promo because they're dumb, he said. Though,
<v Speaker 1>it's not about how you start, it's about how you finish.
<v Speaker 1>So before wa Roman didn't call him, Jimmy didn't call him,
<v Speaker 1>Jay didn't call him, But you know who did? Solo
<v Speaker 1>called him. Solo gave him a chance. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't going to say anything, but I thought that was
<v Speaker 1>going to be confidential. But yes I did. I called
<v Speaker 1>Jacob during that time. Roman cut him off, said that
<v Speaker 1>Solo couldn't get a cup of coffee delivered to the
<v Speaker 1>building if he wanted to take a look around. Who
<v Speaker 1>do you think runs this place? And yeah, he's been
<v Speaker 1>a little distracted, but he never forgot about Jacob and
<v Speaker 1>he's the one who signed off on his ass. But
<v Speaker 1>you sound a little confused, like a fool. Says you
<v Speaker 1>don't deserve it, said you haven't earned it. Me allowing
<v Speaker 1>you to compete against me, that's nepotism. He says, I
<v Speaker 1>can't do that, and Jacob at that point grabbed him
<v Speaker 1>by the throat backed him into the corner. Roman hit
<v Speaker 1>him with the mic just to try to break free
<v Speaker 1>and get him away from him. But then Jacob applied,
<v Speaker 1>I shit you not the Tonguan death grip man. I
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen this move in a very long time. So
<v Speaker 1>the Tonguan meng would be proud, and he soa. He
<v Speaker 1>puts the tongue. He's not even Tongan, is he see
<v Speaker 1>Toma Tonga should be using the Tonguan death grip. He
<v Speaker 1>puts the Tonguan death grip on Roman and he puts
<v Speaker 1>him down on the mat, and Jacob is telling him
<v Speaker 1>he's gonna take everything from him, and the fans booed
<v Speaker 1>Jacob fatu, and Fatu picked up the world title and
<v Speaker 1>he looked at it and then he dropped it, threw
<v Speaker 1>it down at Roman. Jacob leaves the ring. Roman is
<v Speaker 1>on the mat. He is sweating profusely. I mean the
<v Speaker 1>man can make himself sweat on command. Very impressive. He
<v Speaker 1>was selling this move and he grabs the microphone and
<v Speaker 1>he yells for Jacob's yelling his name, Jacob, because you
<v Speaker 1>want me a backlash, I'll see you with backlash, and
<v Speaker 1>Jacob from the aisle. He didn't say this into the mic,
<v Speaker 1>but the camera picked up on what he was saying.
<v Speaker 1>He was looking at Roman in the ring and he
<v Speaker 1>told Roman, I'm not going to wait for backlash. He goes,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to see you all punk Ass on Raw
<v Speaker 1>next Monday. And this is good. Roman Reigns, true to
<v Speaker 1>his word, is showing up every single week. I have
<v Speaker 1>no issue with him having the World Heavyweight Championship if
<v Speaker 1>he's showing up on the show every single week and
<v Speaker 1>we're progressing and we're furthering whatever the story is that
<v Speaker 1>he's in. That was always my concern. Is he going
<v Speaker 1>to be here or is he not going to be here?
<v Speaker 1>You know, because for all of his faults and whatever
<v Speaker 1>you think of CM Punk, Punk was there every single week,
<v Speaker 1>Punk was wrestling and defending the title. I'm not even
<v Speaker 1>expecting Roman to do that, but i just want him
<v Speaker 1>on the show. So they're going to be back on
<v Speaker 1>the show next week, so that's good. But I'm just like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm watching this and I'm like, really, like they booed Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>Like I've always said it. You guys, if you've listened
<v Speaker 1>to me for any length of time, you've heard me
<v Speaker 1>make this comment before. Like the fans are the heels,
<v Speaker 1>they really are. What did this man do to deserve
<v Speaker 1>to get booed? What is Roman Reigns done to deserve
<v Speaker 1>to get cheered? Nothing? He has aura, that's it. That's
<v Speaker 1>why the people cheer for him. He's still an asshole.
<v Speaker 1>And again he's manipulated his cousins into being by his
<v Speaker 1>side so that he can have backup. Although apparently they
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what happened. Maybe they were locked in
<v Speaker 1>the dressing room or something. I would have expected the
<v Speaker 1>usos to come out here. We know they were in
<v Speaker 1>the building. It made no sense that they didn't come
<v Speaker 1>out here during this segment. Maybe they were just that
<v Speaker 1>afraid of the tongue in death grip. Very possible. But
<v Speaker 1>like again, Roman is still the same guy that he
<v Speaker 1>was a few years ago. He's a jerk, and the
<v Speaker 1>fans don't give a shit because, oh he's cool, he's
<v Speaker 1>the tribal chief. Yes, they're fickle, that's right, they're fickle.
<v Speaker 1>These people are fickle, fickle fuckers, is what they are.
<v Speaker 1>And they're booing Jacob. So I don't think the idea
<v Speaker 1>here is for Jacob to play heel or turn heel
<v Speaker 1>or be the heel in this match. The fans are
<v Speaker 1>turning him heel for this match, and not because they
<v Speaker 1>don't like Jacob, but because they love Roman. So it
<v Speaker 1>was very weird. I would have maybe expected a mixed reaction.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't mixed at all. It was just like boo.
<v Speaker 1>It was like boo, this man. I was like, WHOA, Okay.
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't necessarily expecting that. We'll see if it's going
<v Speaker 1>to be the same thing at other cities as well,
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine. So I don't know why it would
<v Speaker 1>be any different than it was here in Laredo, Texas.
<v Speaker 1>But we got the match signed for Backlash. It was
<v Speaker 1>the match we expected. I am. I'm looking forward to it.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't know what the endgame is here when
<v Speaker 1>Jacob loses. That's the only thing I don't know. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not even sure if Jacob is necessarily going to settle
<v Speaker 1>in on raw. This may only be for two weeks
<v Speaker 1>and then he goes back to smack that we're just
<v Speaker 1>not sure. Just like with Punk, I would assume Punk
<v Speaker 1>ends up on SmackDown because it's the move that makes sense,
<v Speaker 1>but they've said nothing about that yet. But by the way,
<v Speaker 1>I have to mention this because I didn't. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>mention it what I said the line in the promo.
<v Speaker 1>Roman's line in his promo hitting him with the nepotism line, like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>I can't allow that. I can't allow nepotism if I
<v Speaker 1>give you a title match. I mean, that's nepotism. I
<v Speaker 1>mean that was richer than fucking Bill Gates. When I
<v Speaker 1>heard that line. Holy shit. But like I said earlier,
<v Speaker 1>at the beginning of all this, I thought the show
<v Speaker 1>was okay, pretty average, boring at times, but it did
<v Speaker 1>the bare minimum that it needed to do, I think
<v Speaker 1>to forward things for Backlash, and even some of the
<v Speaker 1>other stories, like the Judgment Day stuff, it just wasn't
<v Speaker 1>very interesting. You know, a lot of what they did
<v Speaker 1>tonight just was not very interesting. But they did what
<v Speaker 1>they had to do. And so far, the three matches
<v Speaker 1>that we know for Backlash of what we'll probably end
<v Speaker 1>up being five. If we're lucky, maybe we'll get six.
<v Speaker 1>Our so far all raw matches. I could see Ria
<v Speaker 1>in Jade in a WrestleMania rematch for the other women's
<v Speaker 1>title on that show, especially now, if we're not going
<v Speaker 1>to get Live In Stephanie. I would imagine we get
<v Speaker 1>Ria in Jade. Cody I'm not even sure what his
<v Speaker 1>medical status is. I don't expect him to be defending
<v Speaker 1>that title on that show. And honestly, I mean, if
<v Speaker 1>Roman's on there, you don't need Roman and Cody on
<v Speaker 1>that show. I'm trying to think of what the other
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown matches would be. I don't know. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but we'll get our usual five or six matches. My
<v Speaker 1>hope for EO and OSCA is that they get more
<v Speaker 1>than the six minutes that Live In Stephanie got a WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>That would be nice. If maybe they could go even ten,
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't that be something They've only been building this matchup
<v Speaker 1>for how many months now? You think they could spare
<v Speaker 1>ten or eleven minutes for these two women. They've already
<v Speaker 1>taken away one of the key stars in the entire program.
<v Speaker 1>It'd be nice if they could at least hit double
<v Speaker 1>digits when they have their match. That would be nice. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>let's get into your super chats here again. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>doing the poles anymore because OBS will not allow me
<v Speaker 1>to show you the poles anymore because reasons I hit
<v Speaker 1>one wrong button and all of a sudden, I can't
<v Speaker 1>get them to show anymore. Thirty bucks for five matches. Well,
<v Speaker 1>unless you have ESPN Unlimited, which I don't. If you
<v Speaker 1>have access to ESPN Unlimited through your provider, then you
<v Speaker 1>don't have to pay the thirty bucks. A lot of
<v Speaker 1>people still don't, though, that's the problem. Start with the
<v Speaker 1>Chicago for NBK, and again, the goal tonight was kind
<v Speaker 1>of high. Gold Tonight was seven hundred. We were at
<v Speaker 1>five fifty seven, which is not bad. It's not seven
<v Speaker 1>hundred though. Chicago for NBK. I'm sure you're going to
<v Speaker 1>have an extended take on the Triple H contract. In
<v Speaker 1>Nick con comments tomorrow, I don't know if I would
<v Speaker 1>say extended take. I might have a more extended take
<v Speaker 1>on the SoundOff next weekend. I mean, I'm gonna touch
<v Speaker 1>on it. It's nothing that shocks me. I will address
<v Speaker 1>it though, on the Young Crime Wrestling Show tomorrow, Dry
<v Speaker 1>Chicken Without Flavor. Nick con to Triple H after WRESTLEMDIA.
<v Speaker 1>No more or less is more. We need to maximize
<v Speaker 1>our shows and talent. We need to create new young stars.
<v Speaker 1>I think there was a realization across the board that
<v Speaker 1>they needed to call up a bunch of people from
<v Speaker 1>NXT because it was the same face as being used
<v Speaker 1>over and over again. It's just common sense the real
<v Speaker 1>CS two. I would not at all be surprised if
<v Speaker 1>at least most of the top names on the roster
<v Speaker 1>in WWE have some sort of favorable clause written into
<v Speaker 1>their contracts that protects them from these talent cuts. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I can guarantee you there are top talents in that
<v Speaker 1>company that have no cut contracts without without a doubt. Absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that it's every main eventor but the
<v Speaker 1>people that you would expect to have that sort of
<v Speaker 1>protection in their contract probably have it in their contract.
<v Speaker 1>Let's just put it that way. Try Chicken says, TKO
<v Speaker 1>needs to keep the WWE house shows and add more
<v Speaker 1>to the states. Yeah, it's weird. You know, there was
<v Speaker 1>a period of time in this company where they were
<v Speaker 1>arguably running too many shows, and these guys were on
<v Speaker 1>the road all the time, NonStop and away from their
<v Speaker 1>families NonStop, and so to go from that, to go
<v Speaker 1>to go from that to where they are now. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you talk about swinging from one extreme to the other.
<v Speaker 1>There has to be a happy medium here. There's even
<v Speaker 1>a lot of talents that have commented about, like, man,
<v Speaker 1>we need more house shows. We need I mean some
<v Speaker 1>of them. Like I've heard Randy Orton talk about the
<v Speaker 1>lack of camaraderie among roster members. I mean true, but
<v Speaker 1>I mean I would think I would be less concerned
<v Speaker 1>about that and more concerned about people just getting you know,
<v Speaker 1>reps in the ring and being able to go out
<v Speaker 1>there and work right. Just gotta work, You gotta work,
<v Speaker 1>You gotta get in there. You got to figure out
<v Speaker 1>what works what doesn't work in front of a live audience.
<v Speaker 1>Can't do that at the performance center. It's not the same. Niko,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for the super Chad. It's got a whole
<v Speaker 1>bunch of them here. Solo. Does Oba pass the airport test,
<v Speaker 1>Yes he does. Oba Femi. I think the airport test
<v Speaker 1>was made for people like Oba Femi. Oba Femi comes
<v Speaker 1>walking by you in the airport, You're gonna stop what
<v Speaker 1>you're doing. You're gonna look up you're gonna take notice,
<v Speaker 1>he says, were you smiling your stone faced while watching
<v Speaker 1>the Rick Flair interview in real time? Now? I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>say I was stone faced. I was going back and
<v Speaker 1>forth between laughter and exchanging comments with some other people
<v Speaker 1>in the control room, and also putting my head in
<v Speaker 1>my hands twice twice I put my head in my hands. Also,
<v Speaker 1>he says, EO versus OSCA should get more than seven
<v Speaker 1>minutes at Backlash, and I meant to put interview in
<v Speaker 1>the other superchat my bed. Also, these open challenges tonight
<v Speaker 1>not feeling it. That's just me. Yeah, when they do
<v Speaker 1>multiple ones at the same time. At least on SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>they had Lil YACHTI said that Trick Williams ain't gonna
<v Speaker 1>be doing the open challenge stuff anymore. See Lil YACHTI.
<v Speaker 1>He gets it. So at least we got rid of
<v Speaker 1>one open challenge. It's like whack a mole. You get
<v Speaker 1>what I sound like, Elmer Fudna. You get rid of one,
<v Speaker 1>you get rid of one, two more pop up. It's ridiculous.
<v Speaker 1>They got rid of one on Friday, two more pop
<v Speaker 1>up on Monday. Unbelievable. Randy bo Bandy you refresh this
<v Speaker 1>year with the nine to ninety nine super chats. There
<v Speaker 1>he is, he said, So, I've seen this guy lurking
<v Speaker 1>at hog shows asking a question to wrestlers, but never
<v Speaker 1>asked the commissioner. So I'm gonna do it for him,
<v Speaker 1>sol An Monster, What is your waffle house order? Okay, Well,
<v Speaker 1>the commissioner does not eat at waffle house number one,
<v Speaker 1>and if he did eat at waffle house, my waffle
<v Speaker 1>house order would be pancakes. CMJ World, Is braun Stroman
<v Speaker 1>your favorite person? Now? After being the reason that for
<v Speaker 1>the second time, SmackDown is going back to two hours, No,
<v Speaker 1>they were going back to two hours regard I mean
<v Speaker 1>they went back to two hours. Last year we had
<v Speaker 1>two hours. We had two extra months of it, though
<v Speaker 1>we still don't have an end date. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>the report was that it is going back to two
<v Speaker 1>hours in the next few weeks. We still don't know
<v Speaker 1>what week that is. We assume it's in the month
<v Speaker 1>of May. This year, we had to wait until Independence Day,
<v Speaker 1>July fourth before they went back to two hours. I'm
<v Speaker 1>just glad it's happening. Randy Bobandy, another nine ninety nine
<v Speaker 1>says so beyond WrestleMania and all the cuts. The most
<v Speaker 1>shocking thing I learned was Braun Stroman's eating show got
<v Speaker 1>picked up for a second season. Look Out, Gordon Ramsay,
<v Speaker 1>You've got some serious competition. I've never seen a single episode,
<v Speaker 1>but I wish him luck. I have nothing against the guy.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't say it didn't like waffles, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>I just said I love pancakes more than waffles. I
<v Speaker 1>try not to eat either one of them because they're
<v Speaker 1>fucking terrible for you. But of the two, I'm more
<v Speaker 1>of a pancake guy. It's some powdered sugar on top
<v Speaker 1>Syrup Chicago for MBK. Great crowd in Laredo, made for
<v Speaker 1>decent watching Mark you Lamar, Can we fast forward to
<v Speaker 1>whenever Roman is dropping the title? Oh you're gonna be
<v Speaker 1>waiting a while. It's gonna be a while before that happens.
<v Speaker 1>E J. Slamp buy or sell Ricky Dozen versus El Santo,
<v Speaker 1>or Stu Hart versus Fritz von Eric versus Gory Guerrero
<v Speaker 1>versus Peter my Via. I mean, you're just throwing names
<v Speaker 1>out there now. Culturally speaking, El Santo, El Santo and
<v Speaker 1>Ricky Dozen are probably the most culturally famous and significant wrestlers.
<v Speaker 1>I'll go with Ricky Dozen against El Santo. That's a
<v Speaker 1>pretty big main event right there. I would say the Shawnathan.
<v Speaker 1>Have you watched the Hogan documentary yet? Love to hear
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts? I did, Yes, I will give I'll give
<v Speaker 1>kind of an overview of my thoughts tomorrow. I want
<v Speaker 1>to do something separate on the YouTube channel, but you
<v Speaker 1>will get my first thoughts on it tomorrow on the
<v Speaker 1>Uncrowned Wrestling show. I just didn't have time yesterday because
<v Speaker 1>I had just finished watching the final episode, so I
<v Speaker 1>hadn't even put any notes down or anything. I know
<v Speaker 1>I would have forgotten a bunch of shit. But yes,
<v Speaker 1>I will be talking about it tomorrow on Uncrowned. Diego
<v Speaker 1>Vasquez got dumped this weekend, but I'm glad to have
<v Speaker 1>you guys, So I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sorry
<v Speaker 1>to hear that we will never dump you, so you
<v Speaker 1>don't have to worry about that. Barry MK four hundred.
<v Speaker 1>If you have seen her, what do you think of Rosemary?
<v Speaker 1>Her character work has been amazing. Wish she was on
<v Speaker 1>a bigger show than t Anda. Yeah, I mean what
<v Speaker 1>I've seen of Rosemary over the years. I think she's
<v Speaker 1>very good, very committed to her character. So yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>a fan of her work. We've got hoof hearted and
<v Speaker 1>he thought, if the Saudi PIF pulls funds from WWE,
<v Speaker 1>as they did with the Live Golf tour, I don't
<v Speaker 1>think the WWE is in jeopardy of anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>It's impossible for me to say that, you know, a
<v Speaker 1>couple of years from now, the Saudis may not want
<v Speaker 1>to just kind of pull funding if there's some sort
<v Speaker 1>of financial crunch that they find themselves in all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden. The live golf thing is still relatively new.
<v Speaker 1>The WWE partnership they've had now for almost a decade,
<v Speaker 1>and by and large they're seem both sides seem to
<v Speaker 1>be very happy with each other. They got a WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>come in there next year. Most likely you'd never know,
<v Speaker 1>shit can happen, But right now, WrestleMania is coming there
<v Speaker 1>next year. I don't think that their relationship is in
<v Speaker 1>any jeopardy whatsoever. Not right now Alexanders has imagined Joe
<v Speaker 1>Hendry gets deaf, rebeled. That wouldn't that be the ultimate insult?
<v Speaker 1>Take his own song away from him. Yeah, the relationship
<v Speaker 1>with Saudi started in twenty eighteen, and supposedly it was
<v Speaker 1>a ten year deal. So if that is true, then
<v Speaker 1>I certainly wouldn't expect anything to happen before at least
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty eight EJ. Sleimbuyer, sell Oba, Eddie doud Love,
<v Speaker 1>Full Metal Mayhem or Yuma a Nazi, Axel Rotten, Austin
<v Speaker 1>Starr Maximo with actress Arianna Debos as timekeeper. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know who half these fucking people are, so I'll go
<v Speaker 1>with option A. At least I know who everybody is.
<v Speaker 1>An Option A, I don't know who you A. Nase
<v Speaker 1>Is death Sithe says which horror movie scene that has
<v Speaker 1>haunted you the most? For me, it was the opening
<v Speaker 1>scene to Alien three and seeing a dead Newt frozen
<v Speaker 1>in a silent scream A dead Newt. I mean there
<v Speaker 1>were scenes in like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre that
<v Speaker 1>still haunt me. One of my favorite movies of all time,
<v Speaker 1>And this what makes it so great is that it
<v Speaker 1>was all practical effects. I think it was Rob Boten.
<v Speaker 1>Rob Botten is like is was the ultimate like measuring
<v Speaker 1>stick when it came to practical effects, and they were
<v Speaker 1>still great. In that movie. The scene where they put
<v Speaker 1>the dogs in the kennel and the one dog starts
<v Speaker 1>to shake and then kind of cracks open and it's
<v Speaker 1>it's the thing, and all the other dogs are like
<v Speaker 1>barking and yelping and like trying to get out of
<v Speaker 1>the cell. And then the thing that the legs come
<v Speaker 1>out and it starts spraying shit. Oh got it freaks
<v Speaker 1>me out even just talking about it, Like there were
<v Speaker 1>multiple scenes like that in that movie that just freak
<v Speaker 1>me the fuck out. Live Rent Free. In my head,
<v Speaker 1>I'll throw the Terrifier movies in there. Was it the
<v Speaker 1>first one? I guess it would have been the first one.
<v Speaker 1>There was a there was a kill in the Terrifier
<v Speaker 1>movie where the guy was hanging upside down and he
<v Speaker 1>gets split right down the middle. I like that. I
<v Speaker 1>don't like that. I never saw another Terrifier movie after
<v Speaker 1>that because of that scene, because I know it only
<v Speaker 1>gets worse. Apparently the apparently those other movies are even
<v Speaker 1>worse in terms of like the gore and everything. I
<v Speaker 1>was like, uh, I'm not doing this, but I mean,
<v Speaker 1>if we're talking about like not even gory stuff in
<v Speaker 1>terms of like scenes that that still stick with me
<v Speaker 1>without giving it away, I would say, if if it's
<v Speaker 1>not number one, it's it's pretty fucking high up there
<v Speaker 1>is the ending to the mist that to me, it's
<v Speaker 1>that still like actively bothers me like it bothers me.
<v Speaker 1>That's how good it is. A boomerang says, today is
<v Speaker 1>my thirty seventh birthday? Can I get a birthday shadowt
<v Speaker 1>much appreciated? Well, happy birthday, Boomerang. You're getting close to
<v Speaker 1>the big four. Oho. Enjoy thirty seven because before you
<v Speaker 1>know it, you're gonna be thirty eight. You're gonna be
<v Speaker 1>thirty nine, then you're gonna be forty two, then you're
<v Speaker 1>gonna be dead. Sad the way Father Time just kind
<v Speaker 1>of creeps up on you, isn't it. I almost walked
<v Speaker 1>out of Terrified three. That's why I have no interest
<v Speaker 1>in seeing the sequels. I don't know, like I like
<v Speaker 1>horror movies, but I have my I have my red lines.
<v Speaker 1>I have my limits to the amount of like torture, porn,
<v Speaker 1>and gore that I conceive, and some of the Saw
<v Speaker 1>movies I haven't seen. I still haven't seen some of
<v Speaker 1>the Saw movies, you know, And I thought the first
<v Speaker 1>one was brilliant. First one is easily. Having not seen
<v Speaker 1>all of them, I will say that, in my opinion,
<v Speaker 1>the first one is the best one. Second one not
<v Speaker 1>as good, but still a good movie. And they just
<v Speaker 1>seem to get progressively worse inventive with some of the kills.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't know, man, Like I'm still and I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need to get into some of the other one.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even want to mention some of the ones
<v Speaker 1>I've seen. I mean, those are just fucked up. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I have my limits to what I
<v Speaker 1>could tolerate. San Juan Wolf says, I'm low key thrilled
<v Speaker 1>that backlashes in Tampa this year, as it'll be my
<v Speaker 1>kid's first time watching a pl E in person. Overall,
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed tonight's show and I'm looking forward to Backlash
<v Speaker 1>much love from Florida. Well, that'll be very cool. Like
<v Speaker 1>the first time, especially as a kid, the first time
<v Speaker 1>you go to a show like that is always a
<v Speaker 1>memorable experience. Like I can still remember the first time
<v Speaker 1>I went to a live raw, you know, and I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't a little kid at that point. But like when
<v Speaker 1>you go and at your first, like my first WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>in Miami. It's just the spectacle of it, you know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean, Like it's just you take it all
<v Speaker 1>in and it's like, man, this it feels like inexperience.
<v Speaker 1>Only difference is now that experience is going to cost
<v Speaker 1>you a lot more money than it did back then.
<v Speaker 1>But now he'll have fun. That's that's very cool. Asu.
<v Speaker 1>I'd like to issue an open challenge for some new
<v Speaker 1>writers to come in and make better shows. Yeah, how
<v Speaker 1>about we have an open challenge with some of the
<v Speaker 1>people backstage. Anybody want to step up and try to
<v Speaker 1>replace them? Deputy Docs says, the Third Saw movie had
<v Speaker 1>me in pain. That wasn't really there. The Third Saw
<v Speaker 1>movie is the last one I ever saw in the
<v Speaker 1>actual movie theater, and I had to I almost got sick.
<v Speaker 1>I almost got sick. First of all, the theater was packed.
<v Speaker 1>I think we got there late. I think I went
<v Speaker 1>with my brother and so I literally had to There
<v Speaker 1>were no seats, so I had to sit on the step.
<v Speaker 1>It's like okay, and so I'm sitting there and I
<v Speaker 1>think it was the scene. There's a scene in there
<v Speaker 1>where I think it might have been brain surgery or
<v Speaker 1>something like they basically opened up like the top half
<v Speaker 1>of the guy's head and like his brain was exposed
<v Speaker 1>and they were doing I think it was that, if
<v Speaker 1>you know what I'm talking about. It was that scene
<v Speaker 1>and it just it just hit me and I went
<v Speaker 1>running out of the theater to the bath. I thought,
<v Speaker 1>I thought I'm gonna lose everything, and then it ended
<v Speaker 1>up just being me dry heaving, like it was fine,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't know what it was. Something got to
<v Speaker 1>me and I was like, I ain't going back in there.
<v Speaker 1>It's funny the things that I can watch and I'm fine,
<v Speaker 1>and then sometimes I'll see something and it just it
<v Speaker 1>just gets to me. Lakers Pass, where do you rank
<v Speaker 1>Bruno on drawing power? I don't know that you ever
<v Speaker 1>drew all that well outside of New York or maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe Pennsylvania. It wasn't like he was like a national draw.
<v Speaker 1>He was still from an era was very regional. So
<v Speaker 1>I mean we're talking about New York and New York
<v Speaker 1>like the Garden, he was a big draw. He was
<v Speaker 1>a huge draw. So but again, everything like context is important.
<v Speaker 1>You can't really it's not apples to apples to compare
<v Speaker 1>Bruno's drawing power. Let's say to like Roman Reigns and
<v Speaker 1>his drawing power, you can't. It's not fair. It's not
<v Speaker 1>the same thing. For his era and his time, he
<v Speaker 1>was a big draw, but it's not like he drew
<v Speaker 1>everywhere the way he drew in New York Low Kings.
<v Speaker 1>As I fainted watching Crank two, I don't think I
<v Speaker 1>ever saw that human centipede is one that I never
<v Speaker 1>have to see again for the rest of my life. More.
<v Speaker 1>JD is cool, but his supporter's men so moronic. I
<v Speaker 1>thought you met for a second there. I thought you
<v Speaker 1>were talking about the Judgment day. The Judgment day is cool,
<v Speaker 1>oh man, he said, referring to that interaction you had
<v Speaker 1>on X on Wednesday. Interaction on X on Wednesday. I
<v Speaker 1>don't even remember what interaction that would have been. Number
<v Speaker 1>one almost Sapien says, the goal is six hundred, not
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred. Is that so? Is that true? Did I
<v Speaker 1>misremember what the goal was? Well, I mean if that's true,
<v Speaker 1>then we're already at six twenty nine, so that means
<v Speaker 1>we're going to be doing be the booker here in
<v Speaker 1>a little bit. Because Warner was seven hundred. We got
<v Speaker 1>MVK A the five Dollars super Chat. Do not watch Tusk. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I think I did see. I didn't see that movie,
<v Speaker 1>but I think I saw something on YouTube. There was
<v Speaker 1>like a scene from that movie that that disturbed me.
<v Speaker 1>Oh no, maybe it wasn't Tusk. No, it was bone fuck.
<v Speaker 1>What the hell is it called? Bone bone? Uh? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, bone bone something. I was like, nope, not
<v Speaker 1>seeing that. MVK says what Jacob did to Roman tonight
<v Speaker 1>was one hundred percent the realest thing, to just cut
<v Speaker 1>off Roman's bs. I thought Jacob was going to kick him,
<v Speaker 1>but it was cool. Yeah, and he got booed for it.
<v Speaker 1>These people are weird. Yeah, bone Tomahawk. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
<v Speaker 1>bone Tomahawk. I could tell just from the one little
<v Speaker 1>clip I saw that that's not a movie I should
<v Speaker 1>probably be seeing. I have no plans. I have no
<v Speaker 1>plans on seeing Bow and Tomahawk, Titans toy stories, Kyrie
<v Speaker 1>costs osca at Backlash as a one off appearance. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I'd love it. Do I think it's gonna happen? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I don't. Also, have you seen James Romero's
<v Speaker 1>response to Rick Flair Flair Deserra. I mean, I have not,
<v Speaker 1>but I would imagine he probably he probably gave it
<v Speaker 1>back to Flair and deserved every word of it. He
<v Speaker 1>called him the Peanuts Shell. Didn't even know the guy's name.
<v Speaker 1>He called him the peanuts Shell. Hopefully the Peanuts Shell
<v Speaker 1>had a good response to Rick Flair. EJ I built
<v Speaker 1>a chaos card from be the Booker, social media rematches
<v Speaker 1>and AI w TF. It's in Rio like the ic Tourney.
<v Speaker 1>I'll send buy or sell matchups the Phantom Rio Dejaneira Tournament.
<v Speaker 1>Mv CA says rest in peace to comic book writer
<v Speaker 1>Jerry Conway, the co creator of Marvel Comics The Punisher
<v Speaker 1>and DC Comics characters Firestorm, Jason Todd and Killer Croc.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry to hear that. I just saw that great
<v Speaker 1>teaser trailer the other day for Clayface. Speaking of horror movies,
<v Speaker 1>that's a horror movie. I can't wait to see it. Also,
<v Speaker 1>he says, Usso's Equal Mooks. Yeah, I mean, it's just amazing,
<v Speaker 1>you know that these two they just have fallen in
<v Speaker 1>line so quickly. They're they're just they're the henchmen Fox
<v Speaker 1>with the nine ninety nine I remember one horror movie
<v Speaker 1>where this girl who was missing an I gave up
<v Speaker 1>on life and jumped right into a subway, blood splattered everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>I love horror movies. That sounds like a sounds like
<v Speaker 1>something out of Final Destination and be Man the Champ
<v Speaker 1>too Deer walk out of a gay bar. One turns
<v Speaker 1>to the other and says, I can't believe you blew
<v Speaker 1>fifty bucks in there. That was actually pretty good. That
<v Speaker 1>was actually pretty good. Took me a second, but once
<v Speaker 1>I got it, I said, that's actually pretty good. Feet
<v Speaker 1>of Clay, Yeah, you know what I mean. I've had
<v Speaker 1>people say that this new Clay Face movie was or
<v Speaker 1>the person who wrote it was directly inspired by the
<v Speaker 1>two episodes from Batman the Animated series in ninety two.
<v Speaker 1>I think it was the first season Feet of Clay,
<v Speaker 1>which I guess is his origin story. So that might
<v Speaker 1>be a good reason for me to actually go back
<v Speaker 1>and start watching the which I never saw. Believe it
<v Speaker 1>or not, never, I never watched Batman the Animated series,
<v Speaker 1>and I think that might get me to do so.
<v Speaker 1>I see I see a lot of Rave reviews, especially
<v Speaker 1>for those two episodes, so I'll have to check that
<v Speaker 1>out horror fan Craig, thank you for the two bucks.
<v Speaker 1>More about the guy that was calling you an aw
<v Speaker 1>shill again, You're gonna have to be more specific than that.
<v Speaker 1>I get these I get these comments every day, and
<v Speaker 1>everyone's saying it's a great show. Yeah. When I went
<v Speaker 1>to IMDb once, they had a very, very high score.
<v Speaker 1>It was like it was probably like around a nine
<v Speaker 1>out of ten. I was like, man, it takes a
<v Speaker 1>lot to get a high score like that on there.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, I must be a pretty good series. Clayface
<v Speaker 1>is set in the same universe as the Batman I believe.
<v Speaker 1>I don't believe that's true. No, I don't believe. My
<v Speaker 1>understanding is that this new Clayface movie is not set
<v Speaker 1>in the Robert Pattinson Batman universe. It's in the DCU.
<v Speaker 1>I guess maybe maybe the Superman universe, but not not
<v Speaker 1>the patentson Batman universe. It's clearly Gotham. I mean one
<v Speaker 1>of the cop cars says Gotham on it. The thing
<v Speaker 1>about that is like, this is the first time I
<v Speaker 1>think that DC is really doing a straight up horror movie.
<v Speaker 1>And I mean, we'll see how this movie turns out.
<v Speaker 1>I think it looks fucking amazing just from that one minute.
<v Speaker 1>But like when you really think about like Gotham, right,
<v Speaker 1>and all the Batman villains, you know, like over the
<v Speaker 1>years to like the Dark Knight, prior to the Nolan movies,
<v Speaker 1>it was always very like over the top. They look
<v Speaker 1>at Jack Nicholson's Joker and you look at you know,
<v Speaker 1>Jim Carrey playing the Riddler and got the Penguin and
<v Speaker 1>Catwoman and everything, But like you don't realize like how
<v Speaker 1>fucked up some of these some of these like Batman
<v Speaker 1>villains really are if you take a more serious approach
<v Speaker 1>with them like they seem to be doing here. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's so much there's probably so many other like side
<v Speaker 1>characters and stuff that could get their own treatment. And
<v Speaker 1>if you really go like hard, like rated R and
<v Speaker 1>just go the horror route with some of them, there's
<v Speaker 1>some fucked up villains in that world, horror fan Craig says.
<v Speaker 1>Dave Meltzer said there were several wrestlers more important to
<v Speaker 1>the wrestling business than Hulk Hogan and that Hogan wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be in his top six. I mean, look, I'm not
<v Speaker 1>gonna I'm not gonna argue it Hogan. Hogan was very
<v Speaker 1>important to Vince McMahon. He is very important to WWE,
<v Speaker 1>and Hogan was the right guy in the right place
<v Speaker 1>at the right time when it came to his national push.
<v Speaker 1>Was Hogan important to the wrestling business overall as much
<v Speaker 1>as people think he was. I think people overrate him
<v Speaker 1>in that regard. As far as like the business overall,
<v Speaker 1>you can't dispute like the importance to Vince and his company,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, maybe mainstream American wrestling you can make
<v Speaker 1>the argument, sure, but in terms of wrestling as a
<v Speaker 1>whole phrase, I think his argument would be that Hogan
<v Speaker 1>was probably it was probably the opposite, you know, where
<v Speaker 1>Hogan did more to hurt wrestling overall than he did
<v Speaker 1>to help it. And I could I could see that,
<v Speaker 1>I could see his argument for that. Some people are gonna, oh,
<v Speaker 1>what are you talking about? Like again, they have a
<v Speaker 1>very narrow view of things where they grew up on
<v Speaker 1>Hogan as I did. So, Oh, well, Hogan's the end
<v Speaker 1>all be all, and he's you know, the most singular,
<v Speaker 1>most important figure. Yeah, not necessarily, but he was a
<v Speaker 1>very important figure, you know, for a lot of different reasons.
<v Speaker 1>H David Wilson. As I sit here about to eat,
<v Speaker 1>I hear Bone Tomahawk, and I'm reminded of a horrific
<v Speaker 1>scene that completely killed my appetite right now, so I'm
<v Speaker 1>never going to see it. Clayface, I heard takes place
<v Speaker 1>before Superman and Supergirl. Yes, I believe that is true.
<v Speaker 1>Bone Tomahawk sounds like a great steak that you would
<v Speaker 1>have at a steakhouse. Anyway, bring up the wheel and
<v Speaker 1>you guys were right six hundred, not seven hundred, So
<v Speaker 1>we smashed the goal. We are at six. I thank
<v Speaker 1>you for that. Let's be the booker, be nice. If
<v Speaker 1>we had some music, ladies and gentlemen, it is now
<v Speaker 1>time to be the book doesn't hit the same without
<v Speaker 1>Noah's intro. Noah the mark. All right, we get one round.
<v Speaker 1>It looks like so we'll try to make the most
<v Speaker 1>of it here again. The thing is like, we don't
<v Speaker 1>have a lot of luck on Wednesdays when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to Dynamite and be the Booker. This is very likely
<v Speaker 1>going to be the last be the Booker we do
<v Speaker 1>until next Monday, because I'm not here on Friday, I'll
<v Speaker 1>be in Los Angeles for the House of Glory show.
<v Speaker 1>So we got we gotta make this count or you
<v Speaker 1>guys got to bring the heat on Wednesday. Either way,
<v Speaker 1>but we're gonna start off here with Bullet Club Gold.
<v Speaker 1>We have Jay White and Juice Robinson kicking us off.
<v Speaker 1>It's still waiting on that Jay White return their opponents
<v Speaker 1>Undertaker and Big Show, the Unholy Alliance against the Bang
<v Speaker 1>Bang Gang. Undertaker and Jay White. You think Undertaker would
<v Speaker 1>sell for Jay White? I wonder. All right, women's be
<v Speaker 1>the booker. We have got Candace Laray. Hmmm, Candace Laray
<v Speaker 1>against who? Candace Lay against Alex Windsor. I'm in a
<v Speaker 1>generous mood tonight. Not exactly a star attraction match. But
<v Speaker 1>if you actually let Candice go out there and wrestle,
<v Speaker 1>this would be a perfectly fine collision match. That's what
<v Speaker 1>this would be. Main event. Brian Danielson, the American Dragon,
<v Speaker 1>always a spot open for him in the main event.
<v Speaker 1>I got no issue with that, But who is his
<v Speaker 1>opponent going to be? Oh? Look at this Surfer Sting,
<v Speaker 1>Surfer Sting and Brian Danielson. I like it. I like
<v Speaker 1>that a lot. Yes, well, good, if this is the
<v Speaker 1>last beat the Booker we do until next week, we
<v Speaker 1>got a clean sweet When do you start booking collision
<v Speaker 1>that's much bigger than your typical collision made event. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>there's Vato's sting. We go from surfer sting to Vato's sting.
<v Speaker 1>That's quite the jarring transition there. MVK says the loved
<v Speaker 1>Ones recommended horror film. Are you telling me that there's
<v Speaker 1>a film called The loved Ones that you're recommending or
<v Speaker 1>are you trying to say something else? I don't think
<v Speaker 1>I've heard of that before, The Loved Ones. I'm always
<v Speaker 1>down for a good recommendation. Last beat a booker in April.
<v Speaker 1>Could be, could be? It all depends on what happens
<v Speaker 1>with the Dynamite post show, which is the next time
<v Speaker 1>I'll be live on this channel Wednesday night. We'll talk
<v Speaker 1>about Dynamite. We actually have three big title matches on
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite this week, Darby Allen against Brody King for the
<v Speaker 1>AW World title, MJF challenging Kevin Knight for the TNT championship,
<v Speaker 1>and then I believe the women's tag team titles are
<v Speaker 1>on the line, Lean Across and Meghan Bain against Chris
<v Speaker 1>Statlander and Hikarushida. So those matches are currently announced for
<v Speaker 1>Wednesday tomorrow, brand new episode of The Uncrowned Wrestling Show.
<v Speaker 1>Talk more about some of this release stuff. There's some
<v Speaker 1>more news that came out today, and I will have
<v Speaker 1>a lot of other news and notes, including thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>the Hogan Netflix documentary. You'll definitely want to tune into
<v Speaker 1>that show again. You can find it on the Ariel
<v Speaker 1>Helwani Show audio podcast feed or the dedicated feed for
<v Speaker 1>The Uncrowned Wrestling Show. Either way you can stream it
<v Speaker 1>in either place and make sure you subscribe. And then
<v Speaker 1>Tomorrow night of course Tuesday Night Titans, so you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>get a lot of me. Friday night, hopefully, if you
<v Speaker 1>guys are out West and can make it out to
<v Speaker 1>the show, we have a big show at the Globe Theater,
<v Speaker 1>House of Glory, Amazing Red and Speedball Mike Bailey one
<v Speaker 1>of the feature matches on the show. It's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>a good show. I will be on the call for
<v Speaker 1>that one. That's why I will not be here for SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>Flying into California, Flying back home the next day. Hej says.
<v Speaker 1>My eighties slash nineties booking Andre Champ Savage Top Guy
<v Speaker 1>puts over Brett Brett to Sean, Hogan tags with r
<v Speaker 1>CD Ted arc You're gonna have Hogan team with ted
<v Speaker 1>Arcdi also missed my Jay White buy or sell? That
<v Speaker 1>sound got my cat's attend show. Hey, every animal within
<v Speaker 1>a ten mile radius if they hear the man tar
<v Speaker 1>mating call, Believe me, their ears are going to perk
<v Speaker 1>up dog cat Gerbil. It don't matter, believe you me.
<v Speaker 1>But that eighties, that eighties booking there, it's very interesting.
<v Speaker 1>Andre Schamp to Savage, top Guy puts over Brett. Brett
<v Speaker 1>to Sean, I'm wondering where this whole Hogan tags with
<v Speaker 1>RCDI thing comes from. That seems like a bit of
<v Speaker 1>a waste of Hogan as big of an attraction as
<v Speaker 1>he was. Uh, you said there was a Jay White
<v Speaker 1>buyer cell, I don't see it anymore. I know here
<v Speaker 1>it is. I see it buy or sell Brett Hart
<v Speaker 1>versus Minora Suzuki versus Yoshihiko or Jay White versus Kaito Kiamiya.
<v Speaker 1>I am sure that Jay White and Kaito Kimia would
<v Speaker 1>be a fine match, But how the fuck am I
<v Speaker 1>going to vote against Brett Hart, Minora Suzuki and Yoshihiko.
<v Speaker 1>The blow up doll. Of course, I'm buying on that,
<v Speaker 1>although I think Brett would be utterly just disgusted by
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if Brett would be more disgusted by
<v Speaker 1>the blow up doll or by the number of chops
<v Speaker 1>that Suzuki with because we know Brett Hart doesn't like chops.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't even eat pork chops. He don't like chops,
<v Speaker 1>He don't like mutton chops, he don't like pork chops.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think he would like to be in the
<v Speaker 1>ring with Minora Suzuki be entertaining is all hell, though,
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you that. Devin says, when did WWE become
<v Speaker 1>more brand centric instead of being about the individual wrestlers.
<v Speaker 1>Was it a product of the attitude era? No? No,
<v Speaker 1>I think it was more a product of It was
<v Speaker 1>sort of a progressive thing as the two thousands went on,
<v Speaker 1>and I think it really took hold into twenty tens.
<v Speaker 1>I can't pinpoint the exact year because it was built
<v Speaker 1>around Sina. Sina was clearly like the star attraction for
<v Speaker 1>a while there, and somewhere along the way in the
<v Speaker 1>twenty tens it started to really shift in the other way,
<v Speaker 1>where it became more about the brand and the initials
<v Speaker 1>and not like the name on the market. The name
<v Speaker 1>of the Marquis was WWE. The name of the Marquis
<v Speaker 1>wasn't just John Cena anymore. It wasn't just stone Cold,
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't Hogan. So it was a gradual shift. But
<v Speaker 1>they are just in full brand mode now. I mean
<v Speaker 1>it is believe me, it's not about any one individual
<v Speaker 1>performer or two anyway. Good stuff, Thank you guys. This
<v Speaker 1>was fun, which is always the point. Hopefully you guys
<v Speaker 1>had fun, usually more fun than the actual shows. But
<v Speaker 1>I got a big day tomorrow. I got to get
<v Speaker 1>the audio wrapped up here so I could push the
<v Speaker 1>audio out, try to get a few hours of sleep.
<v Speaker 1>If I can wake up, do another sho then we
<v Speaker 1>have another show to do tomorrow night, and then we
<v Speaker 1>have another show to do on Wednesday, and then I
<v Speaker 1>have a show to commentate on Friday. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>if you are not subbed to the House of Glory
<v Speaker 1>Wrestling YouTube channel, go ahead and sub There are a
<v Speaker 1>couple of matches going up in the next couple of days.
<v Speaker 1>You can actually hit and notify me so it'll notify
<v Speaker 1>you when they get posted. They're all cute up and
<v Speaker 1>ready to go. They're going to be premiering on the
<v Speaker 1>channel in the next few days from our first LA show.
<v Speaker 1>I was not there for the first LA show. I
<v Speaker 1>know there were technical issues and unfortunately the show just
<v Speaker 1>never fully got released. However, some of the key matches
<v Speaker 1>now are going up from that LA show, so I
<v Speaker 1>believe earlier today the women's title match which SHOTSI and
<v Speaker 1>Vipers went up. You can hear my commentary on there.
<v Speaker 1>But there's two big matches going up in the next
<v Speaker 1>couple of days. One of them is Zilla Fought Too
<v Speaker 1>against Willie Mack, which I had commentary for, and the
<v Speaker 1>Amazing Red against Andrade l Idelo. So make sure you
<v Speaker 1>check those matches out. That's from our first LA show
<v Speaker 1>in January. Hopefully there will be no such issues this Friday.
<v Speaker 1>I'll see you back here on Wednesday. Take care, guys,
