<v Speaker 1>Jary Katy and Josh one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>All right, so it's about this time yesterday morning that
<v Speaker 2>I was complaining about how I haven't been sleeping on
<v Speaker 2>the air, and I was like, wow, if I die
<v Speaker 2>on the air, our ratings with Skyrocket, you know, just
<v Speaker 2>because it's it's this schedule that I've had for many,
<v Speaker 2>many years, and just you know, sometimes you just can't
<v Speaker 2>turn your mind off, you know, private life, personal life,
<v Speaker 2>work life, whatever. So I haven't been sleeping. And the
<v Speaker 2>messages came through like crazy yesterday with recommendations on what
<v Speaker 2>I should be doing to sleep, and somebody said I
<v Speaker 2>need to quit this job. So I just wi't let
<v Speaker 2>you guys know. I'm putting in my two weeks.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Well, at least he gave us notice, okay.
<v Speaker 2>But there was a lot of messages that came in
<v Speaker 2>about lemon balm, which I'm already taking. I do the
<v Speaker 2>limon balm, but quite a few people wrote in and
<v Speaker 2>said magnesium, you gotta take your magnesiums And of all days,
<v Speaker 2>Nick Nack had to go to natural groceries yesterday and
<v Speaker 2>she sent me a message that said, hey, I'm a
<v Speaker 2>natural grocery do you need anything? And I said, honey, baby, sugar, sweetheart.
<v Speaker 2>As a matter of fact, now do pick me up
<v Speaker 2>some of them magnesiums. So she talked to somebody there
<v Speaker 2>at the store and got the ones that I should
<v Speaker 2>be taking. I took to last night. I slept like
<v Speaker 2>a rock. I don't know if it was a placebo
<v Speaker 2>effect or not. I don't care. It worked, But the
<v Speaker 2>couple of magnesium capsules game changers so far in the
<v Speaker 2>world of sleepy time.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, yeah, you know what else I heard that that
<v Speaker 3>helps with is to give you a solid number two
<v Speaker 3>that you can okay.
<v Speaker 1>So it was funny.
<v Speaker 2>It was funny because on the phone with Nick Knack,
<v Speaker 2>I said, gets me the magnesiums babies, and she said, okay,
<v Speaker 2>but all I know about magnesium is it supposed to
<v Speaker 2>give you diarrhea. It won't make you go. And I said, hey,
<v Speaker 2>added benefit. Yeah, so I won't give you an update
<v Speaker 2>on that, but yeah, I mean it's good stuff.
<v Speaker 1>It's definitely good.
<v Speaker 2>It reminds me of the old joke where the doctor's
<v Speaker 2>talking to the old guy, you know, in the in
<v Speaker 2>the doctor's office and he's like, hey, ron, hey, do
<v Speaker 2>you have regular bowel movements at your age? He's like,
<v Speaker 2>oh yeah, every day six am, I clockwork, regular bowel movement.
<v Speaker 2>The Doctor's like that's awesome. He's like, the only problem, Doc,
<v Speaker 2>is I wake up at eight am. You know, multiple
<v Speaker 2>messages yesterday also telling me that I am going through
<v Speaker 2>manopause right now, the big change, you know, because of
<v Speaker 2>my hot flashes and mood swings and I can't sleep.
<v Speaker 1>Oh I know.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Katie knows about my ed issues, so you
<v Speaker 2>know in another case in point that I might be
<v Speaker 2>going through mano pause, little low t action, my my
<v Speaker 2>elliptical show. Yesterday, I threw on Netflix while I was
<v Speaker 2>on the elliptical and I wrapped up the Hulk Hogan
<v Speaker 2>documentary that's on there. It's a four part doc and well,
<v Speaker 2>first of all, absolutely loved it.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so you finished it. Fantastic show.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, he did some things in his life that I
<v Speaker 2>don't agree with and a lot of people don't agree with.
<v Speaker 2>But the backstory and how he was just such a
<v Speaker 2>massive star, fascinating, absolutely fascinating, no denying it. And I
<v Speaker 2>was on the elliptical yesterday putting in my time, crying
<v Speaker 2>like a baby as I'm watching a Hulk Hogan documentary.
<v Speaker 1>Tears running down my face, like brother, Brother crying, Brother,
<v Speaker 1>you wipe your tear away. Oh yeah, I was crying.
<v Speaker 1>I get that though. That's a part of your childhood.
<v Speaker 3>It brings tracked a lot of memories. And it was
<v Speaker 3>you remember how torn up you were.
<v Speaker 1>About it when he passed, Like I was sad. That
<v Speaker 1>hits you pretty hard. I cried when he passed. I
<v Speaker 1>say that, like, not like but like I cried. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I welled up a little.
<v Speaker 2>Bit, like damn. That's an icon of many, many years,
<v Speaker 2>so to kind of relive all that, you know. And
<v Speaker 2>it's the thing about this documentary too, is they do
<v Speaker 2>the interview with him, and then they end it and
<v Speaker 2>it's his last interview and they go, hey, we're gonna
<v Speaker 2>check back in with you in three months, and they
<v Speaker 2>actually say that towards the end of this episode four,
<v Speaker 2>We're gonna check back in with you in three months
<v Speaker 2>and see if there's anything else we need to cover,
<v Speaker 2>any holes.
<v Speaker 1>We need to fill, And he's like, okay.
<v Speaker 2>Let's do it, brother, And then they go to a
<v Speaker 2>thing that just says three months later and they're planning
<v Speaker 2>its funeral and I.
<v Speaker 4>Was like, oh man.
<v Speaker 1>And for some reason it hit me.
<v Speaker 2>It hit me pretty darn hard.
<v Speaker 1>So there I was in the basement.
<v Speaker 2>Were chair and I came upstairs and Nick Nack was like, hey,
<v Speaker 2>how was your little work out? I was like, well,
<v Speaker 2>I cried like a little baby while I was down there.
<v Speaker 1>It's been that long, has it?
<v Speaker 2>Anyway? Do you guys ever cry like that? Ridiculous things?
<v Speaker 3>I cry so much, Like I'm trying to think of
<v Speaker 3>things I don't cry about. But I cry when like
<v Speaker 3>four chairs turn around on the voice. Super emotional about
<v Speaker 3>like music shows. Oh, like like what is the the
<v Speaker 3>acapella movie that I love?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? It's perfect?
<v Speaker 3>Also makes me cry sometimes because of how moving that
<v Speaker 3>music is.
<v Speaker 2>I cry when I hear cups just because I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to stop.
<v Speaker 1>Stop.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, so I definitely shed a tear, probably more than
<v Speaker 3>I should.
<v Speaker 2>Well, maybe you're going you got the change going to
<v Speaker 2>You're you're roughly my age. So we'll go through this together.
<v Speaker 2>Is it hot in here today?
<v Speaker 5>Too?
<v Speaker 1>Something I want to partner for. It's like a.
<v Speaker 2>Thousand degrees in this room?
<v Speaker 1>Are you feeling it was hot? But then I was cold?
<v Speaker 1>Shut up? We're going through it together now, We're not
<v Speaker 1>stop it. Don't look at those is that part of it?
<v Speaker 2>Because mine are incredibly tender today.
<v Speaker 1>On the manopause.
<v Speaker 2>There you go, Oh my goodness. All right, when we
<v Speaker 2>come back, we got to talk about actually what were
<v Speaker 2>we at? I might sneak in our first play of
<v Speaker 2>our boring banger here in a few minutes. I might
<v Speaker 2>do that. We'll see how we are on time. But
<v Speaker 2>I do know when we come back, Katie's going to
<v Speaker 2>be at an airport today and you want to talk
<v Speaker 2>about some nasty stuff on an airplane?
<v Speaker 1>Is that what it was? There's some stuff. There's stuff
<v Speaker 1>on there.
<v Speaker 6>BIS one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I know Katie's getting ready to have some fun this
<v Speaker 2>weekend because.
<v Speaker 1>You're hitting the road, aren't you. I am.
<v Speaker 3>I'm going to get on a plane and I just
<v Speaker 3>came across the top dirty parts of airport travel.
<v Speaker 1>Wait, hold up, hold up?
<v Speaker 3>Isn't that funny when you're like about to go on
<v Speaker 3>a trip and the internet gives you everything you don't
<v Speaker 3>want to see either?
<v Speaker 1>He read this the dirtiest parts of the airplane. So
<v Speaker 1>there's only four well there they kind of four hundred.
<v Speaker 3>They did a study of five different airports and these
<v Speaker 3>were just the top four. So there's lots of dirty
<v Speaker 3>places when it comes to airport travel.
<v Speaker 2>So this is airport, not the plane.
<v Speaker 1>This is the plane.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, this is the plane.
<v Speaker 3>There was a whole other thing about airports in general,
<v Speaker 3>and one of the dirtiest place there I just want
<v Speaker 3>to point that out was the water bottle filling station.
<v Speaker 3>You don't think of that, but they say that so
<v Speaker 3>many people.
<v Speaker 7>Go up there and touching it.
<v Speaker 3>They don't clean it enough as you would think they would.
<v Speaker 3>So it is the dirtiest place in the airport.
<v Speaker 2>That's discussing it makes me very feel very.
<v Speaker 1>Unsettled as far as like on the plane.
<v Speaker 2>Hold on, let me guess the tray in front of you.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, yes, yeah, So the dirtiest place dumping jumping all
<v Speaker 3>the way to the front. Yes, that is a dirty,
<v Speaker 3>dirty place is the tray table. And they say, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it's because that's what you touch. I mean, you put
<v Speaker 3>things on there, like your phone that you're then going
<v Speaker 3>to put on your.
<v Speaker 1>Face, and they kids are laying on that. Yes, they
<v Speaker 1>highly encourage you. And I know a lot of flight attendants.
<v Speaker 3>I have friends who tell me the very first thing
<v Speaker 3>you need to do on a plane is wipe down
<v Speaker 3>that tray, like just make sure you do it with
<v Speaker 3>a wipe so you know it's taken care of.
<v Speaker 2>I saw a kid licking that tray once. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 2>kid is going to have an epic immune system.
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, But I've seen people put their feet up on it.
<v Speaker 3>I've seen just flat like food sitting on it with
<v Speaker 3>nothing underneath. It is very, very gross. But some of
<v Speaker 3>the other things you might not think of coming in
<v Speaker 3>at number four was the seatbelt buckle, because that touched it,
<v Speaker 3>not cleaning it, like you wickness is something exactly like.
<v Speaker 3>So number four was the seatbelt buckle. Number three, the
<v Speaker 3>only one that was actually in the restroom was the
<v Speaker 3>toilet flush.
<v Speaker 2>Button airplane bathroom.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, yeah, the.
<v Speaker 3>Button that you push that you could do everything you.
<v Speaker 1>I bring my foot up there. The immune system of
<v Speaker 1>that kid.
<v Speaker 3>And then number two, this is the one that surprised
<v Speaker 3>me the most, I think, was that little air vent
<v Speaker 3>thing above you that don't even think it was exactly
<v Speaker 3>that properly. Yeah, multiple times, right, Like, I don't touch
<v Speaker 3>that thing just once. It's like four or five times
<v Speaker 3>throughout my flight that I'll be messing with that thing.
<v Speaker 3>So I just it's not like it's gonna deter me
<v Speaker 3>from using these things. But I think, uh, you know,
<v Speaker 3>the hand sanitized and bringing on wipes yourself so that
<v Speaker 3>you can wipe these down.
<v Speaker 2>You're going to be on one today. Do you bring
<v Speaker 2>your little handy wipes?
<v Speaker 7>I do.
<v Speaker 3>And I just want to give a shout out to
<v Speaker 3>Josh for giving me some really high end hand sanitizer
<v Speaker 3>that I can use.
<v Speaker 1>And it's spray.
<v Speaker 2>I love you know what you can use that on.
<v Speaker 2>You know, you can use that on what that little
<v Speaker 2>kid who's licking at if you see him today? All right,
<v Speaker 2>take this, it's time for pm I you guys, it's
<v Speaker 2>a positive, a minus, and something a little bit interesting
<v Speaker 2>to start your day. Katie had the pee today, I
<v Speaker 2>can have the pea or did Josh? I think I
<v Speaker 2>had the eye? But do you want to go for that? Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that peach if I have an eye?
<v Speaker 1>All right?
<v Speaker 7>Well, A new study just came out of two thousand
<v Speaker 7>moms saying that most of them still think that their
<v Speaker 7>families would absolutely crash and burn without their daily management.
<v Speaker 7>The moms identify strongly as still as the cleaner, the
<v Speaker 7>chef of the family, the guidance counselor the event and
<v Speaker 7>even the show fur and so yes, they're doing multiple
<v Speaker 7>things throughout the entire day, throughout the weeks, the months,
<v Speaker 7>and years, and yet only around thirty percent of them
<v Speaker 7>see themselves as like the CEOs of the family, if
<v Speaker 7>you will. I know for a fact, my family of
<v Speaker 7>five kids all growing up would have crashed and burned
<v Speaker 7>without my family. I mean, do you feel the same way, Katie.
<v Speaker 1>Without your mom? Yeah?
<v Speaker 7>Without our moms? Yeah, like my mom's run everything. Yeah, yeah, mom,
<v Speaker 7>absolutely everything. And then they still say that about fifty
<v Speaker 7>of them are still saying we're not getting enough sleep
<v Speaker 7>no matter how old our kids are. Do you agree
<v Speaker 7>with that? Do you still worry about baby Nana?
<v Speaker 5>Oh?
<v Speaker 3>I worry about her every day. I have her location
<v Speaker 3>because my mom constantly.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, my mom is still saying that she still lacks sleep.
<v Speaker 7>And I'm like, I haven't lived at home in years,
<v Speaker 7>why are you worrying about?
<v Speaker 2>Well, she knows what you're doing.
<v Speaker 3>Like, I know, when moms like wake up and they
<v Speaker 3>think about their kids, they want to know that they're
<v Speaker 3>safe and tucked in bed and just like they're living
<v Speaker 3>their best lives. So when you're not at home, they
<v Speaker 3>can't go wander down the hallway and look in your room, right,
<v Speaker 3>So that's the way I look at it.
<v Speaker 2>We love our mom, very big, positive Katie.
<v Speaker 1>What's the mine is? No? I have the interesting don't? Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, you know what I blame.
<v Speaker 1>You know I'll take it. Well, stupid man of pause,
<v Speaker 1>Come on now, part of the problem.
<v Speaker 2>I'm still thinking about sniffing and wondering if it'll smell
<v Speaker 2>like strawberries or horses.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that might be a minus for Ella Langley.
<v Speaker 2>Here's the former Chick fil A worker, Keishawn Jones, facing
<v Speaker 2>felony charges. Get this, after he allegedly stole over eighty
<v Speaker 2>thousand dollars from a Chick fil A through fraudulent mac
<v Speaker 2>and cheese transactions. What what I'd rather have the mac
<v Speaker 2>and cheese anyway. They say that he was fired, but
<v Speaker 2>yet he got back into the restaurant and he went
<v Speaker 2>to the registered process registers and process approximately eight hundred
<v Speaker 2>large mac and cheese trade purchases, then issued refunds directly
<v Speaker 2>back to his personal credit cards. There's surveillance footage that
<v Speaker 2>captured him conducting the transactions in rapid succession, is what
<v Speaker 2>they're saying. Behind the counter. He had to do this
<v Speaker 2>like eight hundred times. Anyway, they tracked him down, they
<v Speaker 2>arrested him, now facing charges for property theft, money laundering,
<v Speaker 2>evading arrest.
<v Speaker 1>And not getting Chick fil a mac and cheese.
<v Speaker 2>Right, what a toolbag. Don't do that.
<v Speaker 1>Don't do that.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, there's your minus. What's the interesting I.
<v Speaker 1>Can cheese crime.
<v Speaker 3>This is very interesting for folks named Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, MICHAELA, Michelle,
<v Speaker 3>any of those variants. If that is your name and
<v Speaker 3>you can prove so on your ID, you're gonna get
<v Speaker 3>a free sub from Firehouse. Suh, isn't that neat? So
<v Speaker 3>on May sixth, they're gonna do this. It is a
<v Speaker 3>for I know, right you would think, but it's gonna
<v Speaker 3>be a medium steak in cheese melt and available at
<v Speaker 3>participating locations. But they were just talking about how they
<v Speaker 3>were like, you know, the mics are getting their moment,
<v Speaker 3>but the sub is for everybody, but they do want
<v Speaker 3>to hook it up for the mics in the area.
<v Speaker 3>So again, any variation of Mike on May sixth, you
<v Speaker 3>can get a free from Firehouse Subs. So uh, pretty funny.
<v Speaker 3>And here's why why Mike, you ask. The company's president
<v Speaker 3>is named Mike ca. Yeah, so they said that it's
<v Speaker 3>also a competitor, a jab at their competitor, Jersey Micro.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, there is a little tie into that there,
<v Speaker 3>but definitely interesting. And if your name's Mike, gets you
<v Speaker 3>a free sub on May six.
<v Speaker 1>There you go. I'm did you get your little baskets
<v Speaker 1>filled with flowers? Dying? The candy it's like a little mints,
<v Speaker 1>like wedding mints, hard candy, and then you put it
<v Speaker 1>in a little netting basket. It's a surfery store and
<v Speaker 1>then you knock you run away candy. Of course you're candy.
<v Speaker 1>That's gonna be flowers. It's not. It's supposed to think
<v Speaker 1>it's flowers. In North Dakota, it was candy. It was
<v Speaker 1>the wedding mint.
<v Speaker 7>It was because flowers don't grow in North Dakota.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe maybe it was so it's flowers treats or small gifts.
<v Speaker 1>So we're both right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's a it's a way to welcome springs, celebrate friendship,
<v Speaker 2>and spread cheer.
<v Speaker 6>Cheer.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I got my baskets ready. I went to hobby
<v Speaker 2>lobby last night.
<v Speaker 1>No, you did not drop them.
<v Speaker 2>You're also supposed to do the may pole dance. Wow,
<v Speaker 2>you on pole dancing. It's to celebrate fertility, the return
<v Speaker 2>to life into the land and the start of summer.
<v Speaker 3>No, I remember this like as a kid. This was
<v Speaker 3>a big deal in North Dakota. Like we did the
<v Speaker 3>May pole dance. We did the little baskets on people's doorsteps.
<v Speaker 1>Like, so you made money for costs. It's a big deal.
<v Speaker 1>They say.
<v Speaker 2>The pole does represent, you know, fertility in a very
<v Speaker 2>phallic symbol according to this story.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well, wonder man are still full of themselves. The streamers,
<v Speaker 1>Like everybody has little streamer and you walk around the
<v Speaker 1>pole and you rap the pole.
<v Speaker 2>This is why guys are the rabbit are because we
<v Speaker 2>celebrate giant poles on May first, exactly. You know, you
<v Speaker 2>can't find a good guy, you know, just all you
<v Speaker 2>find is guys full of themselves. It's because of May Day.
<v Speaker 1>This is a day. Geez.
<v Speaker 2>It's funny because as we're celebrating the phallic pole today
<v Speaker 2>is also National no pants Day today, so celebrating celebrate.
<v Speaker 1>Zip here we just go.
<v Speaker 2>You got to be on an airplane today.
<v Speaker 1>Don't I know, not celebrating yet.
<v Speaker 2>Nuggets are done, all right, There's that other things going
<v Speaker 2>on in May. We got some movies coming out. Devil
<v Speaker 2>Wears Prada two is coming out more day, Mortal Kombat.
<v Speaker 1>Two is coming out.
<v Speaker 2>I'm excited about that.
<v Speaker 1>Where's product looks so good though, now it looks really good. Really.
<v Speaker 1>Critics are split, but I.
<v Speaker 3>Think true fans of the movie will absolutely love it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it's coming back to the waited a long
<v Speaker 2>time for that, exactly, Boy, I've been waiting on you.
<v Speaker 2>I'm on the edge of my seat. The Star Wars,
<v Speaker 2>The Mandalorian, and Grogu's coming out, a show.
<v Speaker 1>Called The Sheep Detectives.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, somebody out there with a fetish love that, oney.
<v Speaker 2>Big holidays this month, Cinco de Mayo. It's falling on
<v Speaker 2>a Taco Tuesday this year, Mother's Day on the tenth,
<v Speaker 2>Memorial Day. And yeah, May the fourth is happening, Teacher's Day,
<v Speaker 2>Armed Forces Day, National Hamburger Day, a lot of things
<v Speaker 2>going on.
<v Speaker 1>Heads up to you both. May fourth, our boss's birthday.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, remember I just talked to him yesterday.
<v Speaker 1>He's not going to be here.
<v Speaker 2>So I was like, oh, good because I forgot, oh, no,
<v Speaker 2>tetch you something. So for some reason last night on
<v Speaker 2>Jeopardy they had their ninety seven year old announcer Old
<v Speaker 2>Johnny Gilbert, He's been around forever. On Jeopardy, he was
<v Speaker 2>reciting pop lyrics as clues to the game board. You
<v Speaker 2>want to hear some of these? Yeah, I kind of
<v Speaker 2>got a giggle out of these. Here you go.
<v Speaker 4>I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want.
<v Speaker 4>If you want to be my lover, you gotta get
<v Speaker 4>it with my friends.
<v Speaker 8>Wiggle wiggle wiggle wig. Yeah, yeah, do the wiggle man,
<v Speaker 8>I do the wiggle man.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'm sexy and I know it. But oou this time,
<v Speaker 4>I'm telling you.
<v Speaker 8>I'm telling you we are never ever ever getting back together.
<v Speaker 1>With all songs you know I want.
<v Speaker 2>I want him to be part of a contest or something.
<v Speaker 2>You do her where he just recites the lyrics.
<v Speaker 8>Wiggle wiggle, wiggle wig, Yeah, yeah, do the wiggle man,
<v Speaker 8>I do the wiggle man. Yeah, I'm sexy and I
<v Speaker 8>knowing I gonna say.
<v Speaker 1>That right, you need to I'm gonna save it.
<v Speaker 2>There we go. Okay, so we were talking.
<v Speaker 1>Was it yesterday? I think we were the day before.
<v Speaker 2>At least how the Friends cast is still making residuals
<v Speaker 2>off the TV series to the tune of twenty million
<v Speaker 2>dollars a year. Well, Jodi Sweden from Full House came
<v Speaker 2>out and she said, yeah, she gets residual checks from
<v Speaker 2>time to time. Her latest one one penny, No penny.
<v Speaker 2>She says, there's no syndication anymore because it's all on streaming.
<v Speaker 2>Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that. Well,
<v Speaker 2>the Friends cast is getting paid. Why isn't little Jody
<v Speaker 2>Sweden getting paid like that? A child actor? Kind of
<v Speaker 2>screwed her on there, but she was there for eight
<v Speaker 2>ten years.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know, I know her.
<v Speaker 2>What I was gonna ask you what her catchphrase was?
<v Speaker 1>How pinrose on your nose?
<v Speaker 2>Do you know that I follow her on Instagram from
<v Speaker 2>time to time, keep an eye out. I make comments
<v Speaker 2>on her her Instagram posts, and the only thing I comment.
<v Speaker 1>Is how rude. But let me give you one more.
<v Speaker 2>Jennifer Lopez just created a LinkedIn account to promote her
<v Speaker 2>new upcoming Netflix movies called Office Romance. She updated her
<v Speaker 2>profile with the fictional jobs that she's held in.
<v Speaker 1>Some of her movies.
<v Speaker 2>This is great marketing, So she for example, listed luxury
<v Speaker 2>wedding planner from the wedding has made at some hotel
<v Speaker 2>from Manhattan and international pop star from Marry Me.
<v Speaker 1>Oh and Selena. Oh yeah, yeah, there you go.
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, I watched the trailer this morning for this office romance.
<v Speaker 2>It comes out June fifth on Netflix, and I want
<v Speaker 2>to watch it.
<v Speaker 1>Does it look good it?
<v Speaker 2>Brett Goldstein is in it, who you might know him
<v Speaker 2>as Roy Kent from ted Lasso and he's in Shrinking.
<v Speaker 2>You look him up. He's okay, comic, he's a he's
<v Speaker 2>a fantastic actor. He's in ted Lasso OI. For those
<v Speaker 2>of you that watch it, Oi and I. It's one
<v Speaker 2>of these movies. I'm like, I'm gonna sit on the
<v Speaker 2>couch with Nickknack and enjoy a rom com because it
<v Speaker 2>looks really really good.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, now that's the stamp of approval.
<v Speaker 3>I need to watch it because you say, in a
<v Speaker 3>rom com is something you're looking for, I'm gonna do it.
<v Speaker 2>That's saying something evening on the couch with jerm Bear. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>said anything else sports related?
<v Speaker 7>Yeah we got something here. Yes, the Nuggets lost, that's
<v Speaker 7>a bummer. But the sports you really want to hear
<v Speaker 7>about is a world record that was just broken a
<v Speaker 7>little bit earlier this year and came out the news
<v Speaker 7>came out yesterday, twenty three year old German YouTuber to Leko,
<v Speaker 7>I hope I'm saying that pronounce are pronouncing it correctly.
<v Speaker 7>He just set the world record for solving a Rubik's
<v Speaker 7>cube in the fastest time ever while skydiving. Oh, I
<v Speaker 7>don't even know how you think of these things, he said.
<v Speaker 7>He started solving Rubik's cubes when he was younger, and
<v Speaker 7>then he wanted to learn how to skyd and he's like,
<v Speaker 7>I just put the two together. Well, he broke the
<v Speaker 7>world record by five seconds. The previous record was twenty
<v Speaker 7>eight seconds. He solved it in twenty three and he said, well,
<v Speaker 7>the biggest fear I had was dropping it mid fall,
<v Speaker 7>but he free fell, solved Ruber's cube, pulled that shoot
<v Speaker 7>and landed safely. And now he has a world record
<v Speaker 7>by the Guinness World Records. So if you ever have
<v Speaker 7>a kid out there that they want to play soccer
<v Speaker 7>or football or basketball.
<v Speaker 2>No, get him a Rubik's cube, yeah, and send him.
<v Speaker 1>Out a plan. That's how you really as thanks kids.
<v Speaker 3>Or you take two local businesses and you team them
<v Speaker 3>up for an amazing combo like Little Man and Bird
<v Speaker 3>Call more Little Man stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I love them.
<v Speaker 3>I love them, but they have come out with an
<v Speaker 3>amazing chicken and waffle combo. Okay, So the salted maple
<v Speaker 3>chicken and waffles sandwich is going to be available for
<v Speaker 3>May and June at all bird Call locations across Colorado, Arizona,
<v Speaker 3>and Texas for just under eleven bucks.
<v Speaker 1>What I am all about this? Again?
<v Speaker 3>Both bird Call and Little Man were started right here
<v Speaker 3>in Colorado, and they're both just paving the way for
<v Speaker 3>not only being great businesses, but helping out their local community,
<v Speaker 3>which is why I love them. And the fact that
<v Speaker 3>they teamed up to make this amazing chicken sandwich. I
<v Speaker 3>cannot wait to try it so again. May and June
<v Speaker 3>is when we can do that because it is limited
<v Speaker 3>time only, get on your chicken and waffles yo.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. Colorado ban the pet store sale of dogs and cats.
<v Speaker 1>This is the can't go to a pet store and
<v Speaker 1>get a dog.
<v Speaker 3>Or Governor Jared poll As signed this on Wednesday, and
<v Speaker 3>so starting January first, it's going to take effect. But
<v Speaker 3>it prohibits pet stores from selling, leasing, bartering, auctioning, or
<v Speaker 3>otherwise transferring ownership or a dog. I mean they had
<v Speaker 3>to cover the baesles for.
<v Speaker 1>They had to cover all their bases.
<v Speaker 2>I see why they're doing this because a lot of
<v Speaker 2>those puppies come from puppy mills, puppy farms.
<v Speaker 1>Same with the cats. Yes, and here's the thing.
<v Speaker 3>They're still allowing pet stores to house dogs and cats
<v Speaker 3>available for adoption through local shelters.
<v Speaker 1>I like that. They're trying to.
<v Speaker 3>Make them still viable pet store exactly like we want.
<v Speaker 3>But they they've got to crack down on the.
<v Speaker 1>Puppies, the puppy mills. That is disgusting because that's the thing.
<v Speaker 5>I know.
<v Speaker 1>There's good people on both sides.
<v Speaker 3>I know there's people who, you know, it is their
<v Speaker 3>job with the dogs and the cats and the breeding,
<v Speaker 3>and they cover all their bases and they do such
<v Speaker 3>a good job.
<v Speaker 1>And then there's people who don't. And that's what this is,
<v Speaker 1>protecting those dogs and cats, you know. So I do
<v Speaker 1>like this law. But again, January first is when it
<v Speaker 1>goes to.
<v Speaker 2>My Boston terrier, Solly, who had for many many years
<v Speaker 2>he was a Southwest Plaza pet store up. It's have
<v Speaker 2>we all been there in the past, where you go
<v Speaker 2>in to get something, you go to Dillard's, you come
<v Speaker 2>home with a puppy.
<v Speaker 1>Come home with a puppy. Absolutely, that's what happened to us.
<v Speaker 2>I mean we went in for something else and saw
<v Speaker 2>that little puppy in the window. Yeah, we came home
<v Speaker 2>with it. I believe we also got, like back in
<v Speaker 2>the nineties or eighties, good god, a cat from that
<v Speaker 2>pet store as well.
<v Speaker 1>Both of those animals lived a very very long time. Absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>and again were well.
<v Speaker 2>I told you about Soy. Yeah for the oddly placed
<v Speaker 2>booty hole.
<v Speaker 3>But other than that, yeah, that was his fault, not
<v Speaker 3>his fault. But then also a lot of fun things
<v Speaker 3>for you to do this weekend. Okay, it's going to
<v Speaker 3>be a very busy weekend. Speaking of animals, Denvers for
<v Speaker 3>a scurries, one of them, thousands expected to be at
<v Speaker 3>wash Park tomorrow morning, starts at nine. The Sinko to
<v Speaker 3>Myle Festival downtown all.
<v Speaker 1>Weekend as well. And did you there's a Sinco to
<v Speaker 1>Myo Community parade. I'm in it.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Are you front and center and center? Well, you better
<v Speaker 3>be there early. It starts at eleven. Okay, will be
<v Speaker 3>up front.
<v Speaker 1>There we go. You are the paid conductor.
<v Speaker 3>Three blocks west of the Denver City and County building
<v Speaker 3>is where that gets going. And then there's lots of
<v Speaker 3>farmers markets that start up this weekend, so City Park
<v Speaker 3>lay this spring market in wash Park as well, and
<v Speaker 3>then Estes Park.
<v Speaker 1>Celebrating something fun again. Their Duck Race festival is this week.
<v Speaker 1>That's when they dump all the ducks in the river, right,
<v Speaker 1>and you can still adopt a duck.
<v Speaker 2>All of this stuff is and then they flow downstream
<v Speaker 2>in the use and everything eat and then they find
<v Speaker 2>all these dead animals.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, wow, that escalated quickly, EP duck race dot. If
<v Speaker 3>you want to adopt a duck today? Are those they're
<v Speaker 3>the little ones, right, rubber ducks?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah? Do they collect all of that? There's like there's
<v Speaker 1>a car gout in and they collect it. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>You don' want bears eating those.
<v Speaker 1>They wouldn't do it if it was gonna you know,
<v Speaker 1>the kill the environment around unless they're regretable. Are they
<v Speaker 1>made out of rice or something? I don't think they are. No, No, no,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they are.
<v Speaker 3>But it's also like people get really excited about it.
<v Speaker 3>So again, EP duck race, who are those.
<v Speaker 1>People the du people?
<v Speaker 2>Who are those people that are like you know what,
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, my way up parkers, quackers, A bunch of quackers.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, is this the weakeed world that put the ducks
<v Speaker 1>in the rivers?
<v Speaker 5>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, I've been waiting all year for funny Get
<v Speaker 2>my duck T shirt?
<v Speaker 1>I want a yellow one, put my yellow pants on.
<v Speaker 2>Who are these people?
<v Speaker 5>I know?
<v Speaker 2>A bunch of waiters?
<v Speaker 10>Yeah they are.

<v Speaker 2>Do you do you have like a pick ball name
<v Speaker 2>or does your team have a name?
<v Speaker 14>Well? Yeah, my husband and I playing were the bouncers,
<v Speaker 14>the bouncer tournaments.
<v Speaker 1>I like playing tournaments like you are a serious pickleballer.
<v Speaker 2>It's really cute.
<v Speaker 5>Yes we are.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, that's probably just a great couple's activity, isn't it.
<v Speaker 2>My wife keeps spugging me to play pickleball.
<v Speaker 14>Well, yes and no, but yeah, I think.
<v Speaker 3>Once you get the hang of it, a lot of
<v Speaker 3>people find it fun because it's enjoyable.
<v Speaker 1>It's not easy, but it's you know, it's doable.
<v Speaker 14>I think you'd like it's fun. We had a lot
<v Speaker 14>of fun. We had a lot of great friends exactly.

<v Speaker 2>Bye, kids, Zach attack Zach, Yep, there he is. You
<v Speaker 2>just want to dive into its letter is s like sandwich?
<v Speaker 2>Five things in your garage that start with the letter
<v Speaker 2>S go?
<v Speaker 13>Sauce, snake, simple syrup, shaker, what some socks, shoes, a
<v Speaker 13>sticky note?
<v Speaker 1>All of those things could be in a garage.
<v Speaker 2>You got a little mini bar set up in the garage,
<v Speaker 2>some simple syrup. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's gotta go fix something.
<v Speaker 1>Daddy's gonna be in the garage getting drunk, dack. You
<v Speaker 1>know what. This has been the worst Fast five ever,
<v Speaker 1>But I'm in.
<v Speaker 2>A good mood and I'm gonna give it to you.
<v Speaker 2>All right, buddy, you won today. Congrats.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna put you on hold.
<v Speaker 2>Our producer guy Josh in the next room's gonna come
<v Speaker 2>back and tell you all about your prizes and have
<v Speaker 2>a great weekend.
<v Speaker 11>Zach.
<v Speaker 2>Thanks all, buddy, Hold on all.
<v Speaker 1>Right, cack, that was a weird one today.
<v Speaker 3>You know, I enjoyed it, but yeah, you've got a
<v Speaker 3>different job than me.
<v Speaker 2>That's right, man, and the controls over here. Hey, good
<v Speaker 2>news is we'll give it another shot Monday morning. Shout
<v Speaker 2>out to all the parents listening this morning to JKJ
<v Speaker 2>here at Mix one hundred. Would love it if you
<v Speaker 2>called in and sound off about your kiddos and the
<v Speaker 2>reasoning behind their name. If you wanna get on the
<v Speaker 2>air with us, I would love to have you on
<v Speaker 2>the air with us. This is all based off a
<v Speaker 2>message that we received from Megan. Megan said, Hey, I
<v Speaker 2>heard you guys talking the other day about how people
<v Speaker 2>picked their kiddo's names, and I had to write in
<v Speaker 2>because my son's name came from a very serious, deeply
<v Speaker 2>meaningful place, she said, my husband's childhood obsession with action movies.
<v Speaker 1>As she said, we.
<v Speaker 2>Named our son Logan when we were pregnant, which I
<v Speaker 2>hate saying that. When we were pregnant. When she was pregnant,
<v Speaker 2>I had a list of sweet family names and my
<v Speaker 2>husband had one name, which was Logan. I thought he
<v Speaker 2>liked it because it sounded strong and classic. Well nope,
<v Speaker 2>he finally admitted that he wanted to name our little
<v Speaker 2>baby after Wolverine. Now, at first I said, absolutely not.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not naming my child after a hairy man with
<v Speaker 2>knives in his hands and he has anger issues. But
<v Speaker 2>then the name kept growing on me, and Logan sounded
<v Speaker 2>normal enough for school, strong enough for adulthood, and just
<v Speaker 2>nerdy enough that my husband can feel like he won.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Well, little Logan is now seven, and she says his
<v Speaker 2>name kind of fits now. He's dramatic and stubborn and
<v Speaker 2>weirdly strong. So yes, our sweet baby boy is named
<v Speaker 2>after a sweaty action superhero. I wish I had a
<v Speaker 2>more elegant story, but the truth is my husband wore
<v Speaker 2>me down and he got his mutant Branding's what she said.
<v Speaker 2>That's pretty good. She said, maybe you guys can use
<v Speaker 2>this for a show topic. Did anyone else let their
<v Speaker 2>spouse name a child after a movie character, an athlete,
<v Speaker 2>a superhero, some random childhood obsession? Love you, guys, and
<v Speaker 2>that's from Megan. So yeah, we're gonna take this and
<v Speaker 2>kind of spin it. I see phone lines ringing already.
<v Speaker 2>If you want to shout out your kiddo and talk
<v Speaker 2>about where their name came from. Doesn't have to be
<v Speaker 2>an action superhero. But what's the backstory to the name?
<v Speaker 2>Because I love these three O three six nine one
<v Speaker 2>one mix three O three six nine one sixteen forty nine.
<v Speaker 2>We'll get you here on the show. Now, how about
<v Speaker 2>little baby Zoe. That's spelled Zowie.
<v Speaker 3>And now it's Zowie like Bowie. There's no wrong way
<v Speaker 3>to spell a name, let me tell you that much.
<v Speaker 3>But we got her name her dad and I were
<v Speaker 3>just going through a bunch of them. I mentioned this
<v Speaker 3>before on the show, that Genesis was an option, and
<v Speaker 3>my mom talked to me out of it quickly. We're
<v Speaker 3>gonna go with Madison Elise for a while, but then
<v Speaker 3>I started to see a bunch of Madisons pop up.
<v Speaker 3>So we changed her name like three different times, and
<v Speaker 3>the one we settled on was Zoe. And it comes
<v Speaker 3>from the Baby Blues comic. Do you remember Baby Blues?
<v Speaker 3>The mom and the dad and then they have the.
<v Speaker 1>Little daughter Zoe, and then later.
<v Speaker 3>On they had the little baby boy and they named
<v Speaker 3>him Hammy.
<v Speaker 1>So that and I love it. Zoe Hammy is her
<v Speaker 1>real name.
<v Speaker 3>But no, I loved that comic so much growing up
<v Speaker 3>like I read it each and every week religiously, So
<v Speaker 3>I've always loved that name. And then we wrote all
<v Speaker 3>the names down on napkins, and it was why we
<v Speaker 3>spelled it the way we did because z O, W
<v Speaker 3>I E just looked so pretty compared to the other
<v Speaker 3>ways we spelled it.
<v Speaker 1>So that's why we settled on that.
<v Speaker 3>But still, I'm comic book character, so glad it's named Zoe.
<v Speaker 3>And then her middle name is down and so her
<v Speaker 3>name means they're so light and life is what those
<v Speaker 3>two means.
<v Speaker 1>Zoe means life and don means light.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I wish it was named I wish it was
<v Speaker 2>the dish, so that would have been funnier.
<v Speaker 1>Perfect name for her. It's not funny, it's meaningful, that's
<v Speaker 1>what is.
<v Speaker 2>Let's find some fun ones if you guys want to
<v Speaker 2>sound off about what you named your kiddo and why
<v Speaker 2>you named them that name. What did you name your
<v Speaker 2>kiddo and why did you name him that? Such a
<v Speaker 2>great message came in from a woman who said, we
<v Speaker 2>named our son Finn because my husband and I got
<v Speaker 2>engaged on a fishing trip. He wanted to name him Fisher.
<v Speaker 2>I said no, so we settled on Finn Like Rebecca
<v Speaker 2>wrote in and said, we named our son Miles because
<v Speaker 2>of my husband and I did long distance for three
<v Speaker 2>years before getting married, and we joked that we had
<v Speaker 2>put in the Miles.
<v Speaker 1>The name stuck.
<v Speaker 2>Now we've got a boy named Miles. See that's a
<v Speaker 2>cute backstory. So cute.
<v Speaker 1>Mine too, is is it? Nina's good morning? Good morning
<v Speaker 1>to you. So you got a kiddo.
<v Speaker 10>I have a couple actually that have fun different names.
<v Speaker 10>My boy's name is Cairo, after Egypt because I love
<v Speaker 10>I've always just loved, been obsessed with Egypt my whole life.
<v Speaker 10>And then my daughter's name is Aila, after a book
<v Speaker 10>character of the Clan of the Cave Bears series.
<v Speaker 2>What a deep pull, the Clan of the Cave Bears.
<v Speaker 10>Yeah, if you've never read it, they're fun, they're interesting,
<v Speaker 10>there's they're wild.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's what we're talking about.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't think i've ever heard that name before. Ala.
<v Speaker 12>Yeah, yes, ma'am. So I was supposed to be named Ala.
<v Speaker 10>My sisters have two a names. And then my dad
<v Speaker 10>wanted somebody named after his side of the family, so
<v Speaker 10>I got Nina.
<v Speaker 9>So I named my daughter perfect.
<v Speaker 2>You know what, I love the backstory. Well play it,
<v Speaker 2>well played. Thank you for calling in and participating. You
<v Speaker 2>have a great week, you guys.
<v Speaker 14>Thank you so much, you too.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, bye bye Ela? How do I say in three? Ela?
<v Speaker 2>Isla, Aliyah, Aliyah, Aliah? There you are? You got a kiddo?
<v Speaker 6>Good morning?
<v Speaker 10>I do.
<v Speaker 2>What's the name?
<v Speaker 6>So Jordan's need I say more?
<v Speaker 1>Really?
<v Speaker 5>Thank you?
<v Speaker 6>Like you, Jeremy. I am born in the eighties, raised
<v Speaker 6>by the nineties. So huge Michael Jordan's fan.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well play the real go get that lebron crap
<v Speaker 1>out of here. Huh.
<v Speaker 6>No, wing games have no idea.
<v Speaker 1>I love this. This is my favorite one so far. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Katie loves basketball. He's my favorite. Like MJ is king
<v Speaker 1>to me all day. I wanted to be MJ.
<v Speaker 10>I love m J.
<v Speaker 11>Yeah.
<v Speaker 6>So my husband and I. Our wedding anniversary is Michael
<v Speaker 6>Jordan's birthday. You are then we we we went to
<v Speaker 6>Vegas and did it at the chapel he was first
<v Speaker 6>married at.
<v Speaker 2>You are devoted into Let me ask you a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>Did you wear Jordan's when you got married?
<v Speaker 7>No?
<v Speaker 2>Missed opportunity, missed opportunity.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, well I got a third anniversary I'll do that.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, we got a ton more parents on the line
<v Speaker 2>we got to get to. But thank you for the smiles.
<v Speaker 2>That's a great call. Love it.
<v Speaker 1>You're welcome to have a good day by That one
<v Speaker 1>made my whole day ten all right, Matt, Yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>how are you well?
<v Speaker 2>We're super DUP's buddy. You got a kiddo, I have several.
<v Speaker 11>I'm four. The one I'm talking about is my Son's Chance.
<v Speaker 11>And I grew up watching a movie with my dad
<v Speaker 11>called Rio Bravo, and it was a cowboy movie with
<v Speaker 11>John Wayne and Dean Martin, and I used to to
<v Speaker 11>not love it, and then slowly, as you watch it
<v Speaker 11>with your dad, over years and years and years, it
<v Speaker 11>became my favorite movie. And so I named my son
<v Speaker 11>Chance after John Wayne's character, John T. Chance in the movie.
<v Speaker 11>And it's just something that's real special to me and
<v Speaker 11>my dad, and it's a cool story to get to
<v Speaker 11>tell people. And so couldn't be happier with the choice.
<v Speaker 11>And it fits in perfectly.
<v Speaker 2>And come on, I mean, what a strong masculine name.
<v Speaker 2>May have John Wayne thrown in there too.
<v Speaker 3>Our dads were so sure too, Like my dad loved
<v Speaker 3>John Wayne, like that was just what dads did.
<v Speaker 1>Every dad back then loved John Wayne totally man, absolutely
<v Speaker 1>love the call.
<v Speaker 2>Give a shout out to Chance today. Yeah, to Chance today.
<v Speaker 11>Okay, we'll do man, Thank you guys later.
<v Speaker 2>Body here, Hi, Josh, who's the best one?
<v Speaker 1>Who am I going to?
<v Speaker 7>You know what I liked? Erica's was really funny.
<v Speaker 2>Erica, Hi, Hey, you big goof. You got a kiddo?
<v Speaker 12>I do.
<v Speaker 9>I have a lot, but I have one daughter. And
<v Speaker 9>after three boys, we were struggling to pick a name.
<v Speaker 9>And then as I was about to pop, my husband
<v Speaker 9>needed new work boots and the shoe salesman at the
<v Speaker 9>work boot place was named Liliana, and we ended up
<v Speaker 9>naming her after our salesman.
<v Speaker 1>I thought, for sure, you're gonna name your kid boot.
<v Speaker 12>Maybe for a cat?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, Oh my goodness. So it just because you
<v Speaker 1>liked her name, that's all it took.
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 9>And we were debating a couple for months and then
<v Speaker 9>checked out at the store and I was like, Liliana.
<v Speaker 2>That's the one.
<v Speaker 3>And when you can both agree on it, it's almost
<v Speaker 3>like the light shines down on you and stuff, right,
<v Speaker 3>the moment is so real like.
<v Speaker 6>This, it really.
<v Speaker 2>I think there was a hot Angela that wrote in
<v Speaker 2>and said her daughter's name was Clara.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 2>She named Clara after the nurse who took care of
<v Speaker 2>her during a really, really scary pregnant complication. The nurse
<v Speaker 2>was calm when everyone else was panicking. I never forgot her.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't have a name ready, so Clara stuck See
<v Speaker 2>in the moment, it was like boom, that works a
<v Speaker 2>special moment.
<v Speaker 9>I hope that nurse knows that she had a kid
<v Speaker 9>named after her, know me too, that impact because my
<v Speaker 9>shoe failsman definitely does not.
<v Speaker 7>She doesn't.
<v Speaker 2>So funny Clara, thank you so much for calling in
<v Speaker 2>You guys Rock appreciate all the calls and comments today
<v Speaker 2>with Jeremy, Katie and Josh here at Mixed one hundred. Well,
<v Speaker 2>happy May everybody. It's May first, which is May Day.
<v Speaker 2>And I know I got all my baskets together with
<v Speaker 2>flowers in them, and I'm gonna drop them off on
<v Speaker 2>my neighbor's porches today for May Day.
<v Speaker 1>Oh so you're ready? It was with me, Yay May Day?
<v Speaker 1>I love me. Do you have your baskets ready well?
<v Speaker 3>And mine are filled with little like wedding mints, and
<v Speaker 3>you know, peppermints and things like that.
<v Speaker 1>That's what we put in ours. We're just little treats.
<v Speaker 1>And then you leave them on your neighbor treat and
<v Speaker 1>you run away at gummy bears. Yeah, whatever, you want,
<v Speaker 1>sweet treats all day, I know.
<v Speaker 3>So I just love May Day because it's a good
<v Speaker 3>way to show, I don't know, love your neighbor.
<v Speaker 2>It's in regards to welcoming spring. You're celebrating friendship and
<v Speaker 2>you're spreading cheer.
<v Speaker 1>You are.
<v Speaker 2>So that's why I went to hobby lobby last night
<v Speaker 2>and picked up a bunch of baskets and.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of flowers, and I'll be dropping them off today.
<v Speaker 2>This is what I do. I'm also going to give
<v Speaker 2>you guys permission to pole dance today because you're supposed
<v Speaker 2>to do the Maypole Dance today, which I like to.
<v Speaker 2>You know, put a space in there and say the
<v Speaker 2>may Pole dance because you know it's all about fertility this.
<v Speaker 1>Time there, you go, make it, make it fun if.
<v Speaker 2>You do dance around the pole today. It is to
<v Speaker 2>celebrate fertility, the return of life to the land, the
<v Speaker 2>start of summer, and the story I was reading about
<v Speaker 2>the Maypole Dance, they say, the pole is, yes, a
<v Speaker 2>representation of something very phallic, and then you dance around it.
<v Speaker 3>With ribbons, the ribbons and then you wrap the ribbons
<v Speaker 3>around the pole as you dance.
<v Speaker 1>You know whatever, you're in safety part of that part
<v Speaker 1>of it, that's somebody's king you do.
<v Speaker 2>This is why guys are so full of themselves, right,
<v Speaker 2>It's because we're dancing around poles and the pole is
<v Speaker 2>supposed to be you know what. This is why this
<v Speaker 2>is why guys are pups the social media dating right anyway,
<v Speaker 2>Happy May First, it's funny because you know, in on
<v Speaker 2>the heels of that, it is also National no Pants
<v Speaker 2>Day too, so we'll just leave that there.
<v Speaker 1>That's why your pants are off. Well, now makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>You were just hot. I don't know what was happening.
<v Speaker 2>Nuggets are done. There's that in regards to me. Some
<v Speaker 2>exciting stuff happening this month in the form of entertainment,
<v Speaker 2>if you're going to be hitting the movies, The doublewares
<v Speaker 2>Prada two is coming out. I know Katie is incredibly
<v Speaker 2>excited to get The Sheep Detective coming out. I know
<v Speaker 2>Josh is incredibly.
<v Speaker 1>Excited for that.
<v Speaker 2>And then Mortal Kombat Too is coming out, and that's
<v Speaker 2>when I'm gonna see And I think the Star Wars
<v Speaker 2>Mandalorian and Grogu is one that I'm gonna go check
<v Speaker 2>out too.
<v Speaker 1>So that's what's going on there.
<v Speaker 2>Cinco de Mayo is this month, which lands on Taco Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>If I recall Perfect.
<v Speaker 2>Mother's Day, Memorial Day, it's gonna be a big month,
<v Speaker 2>all right, so get this. Last night on Jeopardy they
<v Speaker 2>had their ninety seven year old announcer. His name is
<v Speaker 2>Johnny Gilbert, Old Johnny Gilbert. He's been around forever. Part
<v Speaker 2>of the categories was him reciting pop songs the lyrics.
<v Speaker 1>As the clues.
<v Speaker 2>I heard this this morning and I had the dumbest
<v Speaker 2>smile on my face. You want me to play something?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'll tell you what I want, what I really
<v Speaker 4>really want. If you want to be my lover, you
<v Speaker 4>gotta get with my friends.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 8>This going wiggle wiggle wiggle wig. Yeah, yeah, do the
<v Speaker 8>wiggle man. I do the wiggle man.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. I'm sexy and I'm It's like.
<v Speaker 2>Having one weird uncle over at your house holiday and
<v Speaker 2>he's like, you know, hanging with the kids. He's like,
<v Speaker 2>I'm I'm pretty hip. I'm tapped in.
<v Speaker 1>You kids know this song right here.
<v Speaker 4>But oohoo ullo. This time I'm telling you.
<v Speaker 8>I'm telling you we are never ever ever getting back together.
<v Speaker 2>You couldn't tell at the beginning.
<v Speaker 8>Wiggle wiggle wiggle wig. Yeah, yeah, do the wiggle man.
<v Speaker 3>And it's funny like now that you say it's a
<v Speaker 3>Jeopardy voice, I'm like, that's so yeah.
<v Speaker 1>To sit there and close your eyes and think of it,
<v Speaker 1>it's just like.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's wiggle wiggle wiggle wig.
<v Speaker 2>You were talking yesterday, I think it was yesterday. But
<v Speaker 2>the cast of Friends still making their residual checks every year, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>in the amount of twenty million dollars. Well, Jodie Sweden
<v Speaker 2>chimed in yesterday and she was on Full House for
<v Speaker 2>how it was that show on Decade.
<v Speaker 1>The whole nineties, right, Like she said, like last.
<v Speaker 2>Residual check is like one cent.
<v Speaker 1>She got like a penny.
<v Speaker 2>She's complaining that there's no syndication anymore, that everything's in streaming.
<v Speaker 2>So I guess they don't get I mean, when they
<v Speaker 2>had those contracts, streaming wasn't a thing. Yeah, but then again,
<v Speaker 2>how was the Friends cast still making all that cash?
<v Speaker 7>It's on every channel all the time.
<v Speaker 2>So was Full House?
<v Speaker 1>No Friends is still on?
<v Speaker 3>Like you turn on the you know, regular cable TV,
<v Speaker 3>you're going to see a Friend's episode. I don't think
<v Speaker 3>I've ever seen Full House on the cable.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, they used to be a lot of reruns. I
<v Speaker 7>have not seen it in years now.
<v Speaker 1>How rude, right? Exactly?
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, Friends cast twenty million a year. Poor Jody Sweden
<v Speaker 2>one penny a year.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah we do.
<v Speaker 10>Yes.
<v Speaker 7>Unfortunately, the Nuggets did lose to the Minnesota timber Wolves.
<v Speaker 7>But on the sports news that everybody wants to hear,
<v Speaker 7>a twenty three year old German YouTuber named to let
<v Speaker 7>Go just broke againness world records of solving the fastest
<v Speaker 7>the Rubik's cub in the fastest time while skydiving. Oh
<v Speaker 7>come on, that.
<v Speaker 1>Is my stomach hurt.
<v Speaker 7>That's what he was doing. He was wiggling, wiggling, wiggling
<v Speaker 7>it all around.
<v Speaker 2>He said.
<v Speaker 7>The scariest part about the entire thing was he was
<v Speaker 7>just scared that he would drop it. Then you'd have
<v Speaker 7>to do the whole thing over again, go up in
<v Speaker 7>the plane, jump again, try to solve it. But he
<v Speaker 7>beat the world record by five seconds free falling out
<v Speaker 7>of the plane and then pulled a shoe and landed safely.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah you, that's actually what he said when he landed.
<v Speaker 1>I did it.
<v Speaker 7>Now he's got his name in the Guinness Book World Record,
<v Speaker 7>So good for him.
<v Speaker 1>I will never try and beat that. That's one I
<v Speaker 1>will never try for. Absolutely.
<v Speaker 3>Local news starts up with a little Man and bird
<v Speaker 3>Call because those two local companies have teamed up for
<v Speaker 3>an amazing chicken and waffle combo. Oh you know, I
<v Speaker 3>got your attention here with the salted maple chicken and
<v Speaker 3>waffle sandwich.
<v Speaker 1>You're as salted maple sandwich. Sometimes I wish I was. Eh,
<v Speaker 1>we go, yes, So for the months of May and June,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be available at all bird Call locations
<v Speaker 1>across Colorado, Arizona, and Texas.
<v Speaker 3>So just for in store purchases. But again we have
<v Speaker 3>two months to try it. It is a limited time
<v Speaker 3>only item. So again, the salted maple chicken and waffle
<v Speaker 3>sandwich gets you some right, Yeah, Colorado's band the pet
<v Speaker 3>store sale of dogs and cats.
<v Speaker 1>This is really big news.
<v Speaker 2>It is weird that you can't wander into a pet
<v Speaker 2>store and buy a dog or a cat.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, they're well starting January first is when it takes effect,
<v Speaker 3>and it prohibits, yeah, pet stores from selling, leasing, bartering, auctioning,
<v Speaker 3>or otherwise transferring ownership of a dog or a cat.
<v Speaker 2>Does bartering happen a lot and wandering and you're like, hey,
<v Speaker 2>I'll give you four bags of twizzlers for that cat
<v Speaker 2>over there.
<v Speaker 3>My small hometown, the barter system is strong, So I
<v Speaker 3>imagine there's bartering those small town type things. And they're
<v Speaker 3>small towns in Colorado, so I think they're just covering
<v Speaker 3>all their bases. Here you're baring bags of.
<v Speaker 1>Flower, yeah, exactly. So again they're trying to stop that.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they want to make sure that the dogs
<v Speaker 1>are going to good homes that are going to take
<v Speaker 1>care of them. But pet stores will still be permitted
<v Speaker 1>to house dogs and cats that are a veil for
<v Speaker 1>adoption through local shelters, So there is a caveat in there.
<v Speaker 3>And again we know that there are people who do
<v Speaker 3>this who are you know, follow the rules and that
<v Speaker 3>you know, they make sure that the pets are taken
<v Speaker 3>care of. So we are just glad that this went
<v Speaker 3>into a fet. It again cover all the basic kidding, right.
<v Speaker 2>The puppy mills and all that absolutely horrific. We're some
<v Speaker 2>of these animals, the kittie mills, yes, but you know what,
<v Speaker 2>you haven't lived until you've wandered in the mall and
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna go do a little shopping at Dillard's for
<v Speaker 2>pants and you come home with a dog because you
<v Speaker 2>wandered by the pet story.
<v Speaker 3>And it happens like exactly like I've taken home plenty
<v Speaker 3>of animals just because I walked by a cute puppy.
<v Speaker 5>You know.
<v Speaker 1>But again, January first is when we're gonna start seeing
<v Speaker 1>those changes, see.
<v Speaker 10>In those.
<v Speaker 3>Wiggle wiggle wiggle right, cute little puppy butt, oh so cute.
<v Speaker 3>And then some fun things for you to do this weekend,
<v Speaker 3>right because speaking of animals, Denvers furry scurries want to them.
<v Speaker 3>And thousands are expected to be at wash Park tomorrow morning.
<v Speaker 1>That's going to start at nine.
<v Speaker 3>We've got the Cinco de Mayo Festival that's downtown all weekend.
<v Speaker 3>Cinco de Mayo Community Parade starts at eleven tomorrow and then.
<v Speaker 2>We also I'm actually kicking that one off. I'm in
<v Speaker 2>the lead car.
<v Speaker 1>In the corvette.
<v Speaker 2>There you are, your majesty, parade conduct my receptor in
<v Speaker 2>my crown kicking off the parade? Yes, what do they
<v Speaker 2>call that person he kicks off the parade? Is this
<v Speaker 2>like a Marshall marsh Marshall.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's got to be the material, lead lady exactly.
<v Speaker 1>They have to have a title. There's a parade title
<v Speaker 1>for sure. There is. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the
<v Speaker 1>parade Marshal, isn't.
<v Speaker 7>It, Grand Marshal?
<v Speaker 2>That's what it is there.
<v Speaker 3>It is German, Your majesty, your Grand Marshall again starts
<v Speaker 3>at eleven, so get on down there. Yes, And then
<v Speaker 3>we also have the MS Walk that is tomorrow at
<v Speaker 3>City Park, so we want to get the word.
<v Speaker 1>Out about that. And Estes Park celebrating something fun again.
<v Speaker 1>They have that Duck Race festival that is this weekend.
<v Speaker 3>You can adopt a duck ep duck race dot org
<v Speaker 3>to adopt a duck for that one.
<v Speaker 2>That's the thing where they dump like a thousand ducks
<v Speaker 2>in the river and just let them go right.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, that one's intense, like it is a sight
<v Speaker 1>to see for sure.
<v Speaker 2>So those ducks biodegradable, I mean, or do the animals
<v Speaker 2>pick them up downstream? And eat them.
<v Speaker 1>No, I think they again that net that gets them all.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if they go. They can't let them
<v Speaker 1>go to Vegas. No, yeah, they have to. They have
<v Speaker 1>to put a stop to it. So you know they
<v Speaker 1>take care of stuff up there in Estes Park. You
<v Speaker 1>bet they do. Yeah, there's your ma hig hype Jack
<v Speaker 1>Goo guys. You guys are updated with JKJ. She's got
<v Speaker 1>the mic, the moxie, and a brain full of doctor
<v Speaker 1>Philery runs. She's on me like a duck on a
<v Speaker 1>june bug.
<v Speaker 7>But can you take down Katie in pop culture SmackDown?
<v Speaker 1>This is Katie crush shit? Sure is? I absolutely?
<v Speaker 2>I love this game.
<v Speaker 1>It's so much fun.
<v Speaker 2>Let's welcome Marissa to the show.
<v Speaker 7>Hi.
<v Speaker 1>I'm Marissa.
<v Speaker 12>Hi, Hey girl, Hey, what's up?
<v Speaker 2>You you're up?
<v Speaker 1>What are you doing? That's fun this week?
<v Speaker 2>And anything good?
<v Speaker 12>Probably getting a lot of projects done around the house
<v Speaker 12>because the weather's gonna be nice.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, ye, stay inside, go lay some mulch down. Maybe, yes,
<v Speaker 2>tell us a little bit about yourself. Who are you?
<v Speaker 12>Oh my goodness, I am a Colorado native and I'm
<v Speaker 12>married to a wonderful husband, and I have two sweet kids,
<v Speaker 12>and I listen to you guys a lot, and I
<v Speaker 12>can't believe my mother's radio with you guys.
<v Speaker 1>Are you freaking out right now?
<v Speaker 6>Yeah?
<v Speaker 12>Because I've never tried calling for this game before. I've
<v Speaker 12>listened to it, but I'm like, I'll just give it
<v Speaker 12>a try today. And it went through and I was like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 12>I'm gonna be terrible, let's try that.
<v Speaker 2>Like we're doing this, I guess this is happening. Well,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, you will become a little radio superstar
<v Speaker 2>after all this. People will recognize you on the streets.
<v Speaker 2>Would you like, would you like to give your husband
<v Speaker 2>and kiddos a shout out?
<v Speaker 11>Sure?
<v Speaker 12>Name is Brian, and my kids Callan and Finley.
<v Speaker 2>Cute. What a cute little family you have me all right, Marissa,
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna give you and Katie the same five pop
<v Speaker 2>culture trivia questions, best out of five wins. Now, you
<v Speaker 2>probably heard me say that ties go to Katie because
<v Speaker 2>she made up the rules.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so yeah, that's a thing. But Katie have anything
<v Speaker 1>to say.
<v Speaker 11>You know?
<v Speaker 1>Marissa?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I hope you're up to speed on your pop
<v Speaker 3>culture knowledge and you bring it today, Marissa, because I'm going.
<v Speaker 12>To Okay, I hope so I am not, but I will.
<v Speaker 2>Don't let her intimidate you, Marissa. Here's what, Marissa, I
<v Speaker 2>want you to tell Katie to leave the studio right now.
<v Speaker 12>All right? Shoe shoe, shoo show.
<v Speaker 7>All right.
<v Speaker 2>She's gathering all of her crap, she got her coffee,
<v Speaker 2>her chapstick, she's making her way out.
<v Speaker 1>She goes into a room where.
<v Speaker 2>She can't hear anything. Marissa, So there's no cheating. I
<v Speaker 2>come up with the questions, and I'll tell you what.
<v Speaker 2>We will find out if you are right or wrong
<v Speaker 2>once we bring her back in the studios. Dokki, All right,
<v Speaker 2>I can feel how stressed you are right now. He's
<v Speaker 2>your first question. What TV show did Private Practice spin
<v Speaker 2>off from? What was the spin off.
<v Speaker 11>Law and Order?
<v Speaker 1>Law and Order?
<v Speaker 2>Here's your second question. What viral dance sensation came directly
<v Speaker 2>from the video game Fortnite, or as I call it,
<v Speaker 2>Fortnite the Fuss? Why are you giggling because you want
<v Speaker 2>to do it right now?
<v Speaker 1>You want to do the Fluss, don't you?
<v Speaker 2>I can never either, I'm so uncoordinated. All right, here's
<v Speaker 2>your third question for Katie Crush, who is the creator
<v Speaker 2>of the movies Spaceballs, one and Spaceball's two.
<v Speaker 12>Who is the creator who created those movies? Oh? I
<v Speaker 12>know this one. I don't know's it's still working?
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, epic, epic, that's Spielberg.
<v Speaker 12>Here is your fourth questions.
<v Speaker 2>Alright, got a new one coming out? That Spaceball's two
<v Speaker 2>is coming out? All right? What Mike Meyer's character named?
<v Speaker 2>The character that gave us iconic quotes like yeah baby, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>oh behave and shaggadelic.
<v Speaker 11>Baby Austin Palace.
<v Speaker 2>Shagadelic baby. Okay, it was hard doing those without doing
<v Speaker 2>the accent. Okay, here's your fifth and final question. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>most episodes of The Power Rangers consisted of a core
<v Speaker 2>team with how many members on it? The Power Rangers?
<v Speaker 12>How many the Power Rangers the original ones? I think
<v Speaker 12>there was five of them?
<v Speaker 2>All right, all right, we brought Katie back into the studios. Marissa,
<v Speaker 2>Who are you yelling at there?
<v Speaker 12>My husband?
<v Speaker 13>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Keep that guy in line, all right?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like I'm on the radio right now, dude, shut off,
<v Speaker 2>shut up? All right, Marissa, Let's see how Katie does.
<v Speaker 11>All right, Okay, alright, well.
<v Speaker 2>Katie, what TV show did Private Practice spin off of?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? I never want.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know another like Scrubs doctor show I can
<v Speaker 3>think of.
<v Speaker 2>No, Marissa said law in Order. I was looking for
<v Speaker 2>Grey's Anatomy.
<v Speaker 3>Ah, the biggest doctor show of course.
<v Speaker 2>Well, you guys did horrible on that.
<v Speaker 1>That was a bad one on us, Marissa.
<v Speaker 12>I don't like medical shows.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, all right. Here's your second question. What viral dance?
<v Speaker 2>Since sation came directly from the video game Part Night Fortnite.
<v Speaker 1>No, I don't don't play the game. You don't play
<v Speaker 1>What crime is ah? Gangdom Style?
<v Speaker 5>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>Marissa, what did you say the flaw? Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Katie, who is the creator of the movies Spaceballs
<v Speaker 2>one and Spaceballs?
<v Speaker 1>I know this one. It's mel Brooks this one. I
<v Speaker 1>do know.
<v Speaker 12>I knew that one too.
<v Speaker 2>You're lying, You're full of it, she said Spielberg. Nope, nope, nope,
<v Speaker 2>all right, Katie get one. Oh what Mike Meyer's character
<v Speaker 2>gave us iconic quotes like yeah baby, yeah, oh behave
<v Speaker 2>and shaggaedelic baby.
<v Speaker 1>It's Austin Powers.
<v Speaker 2>Did I just hear you whispered?
<v Speaker 1>Again?
<v Speaker 7>All right?
<v Speaker 1>Your fifth and final question.
<v Speaker 2>Most episodes of the Power Rangers consisted of a core team.
<v Speaker 2>How many members were on that core team of the
<v Speaker 2>Power Ranger.
<v Speaker 1>Five five.
<v Speaker 2>Marissa, you also sit five. Well, here's the problem. As
<v Speaker 2>we end the game, it is a tie three to three.
<v Speaker 2>What does that mean, Marissa ties go to Katie.
<v Speaker 1>I like Marissa.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, but turn that down.
<v Speaker 5>I know.
<v Speaker 2>Come on, I'm in a good mood today, Marissa, because
<v Speaker 2>it's Friday. We've had a very fun show, and you
<v Speaker 2>are a busy mama bear. So I'm gonna go ahead
<v Speaker 2>and give you the prize just because I'm in a
<v Speaker 2>really good mood today.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and you were yelling at you and you were
<v Speaker 2>yelling at your husband, which made me smile.
<v Speaker 12>Not every day you can go on the radio.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's right.
<v Speaker 2>We will make this a podcast so you can go
<v Speaker 2>download it and share it with all your friends and
<v Speaker 2>throw it up on your social too.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, oh great, thank you. Incredibly nice meeting you.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you for listening for so long and finally taking
<v Speaker 2>the plunge and calling in.
