<v Speaker 2>Everybody was dressed to the nines. It was put on

<v Speaker 2>by the Griffith Centers and their whole thing is a

<v Speaker 2>nonprofit dedicated to healing and helping people with mental health

<v Speaker 2>and especially children who have any type of behavioral disability

<v Speaker 2>and things like that. And it was such a neat

<v Speaker 2>event to see everybody come here for one cause first

<v Speaker 2>of all, which was to raise money along with the

<v Speaker 2>Griffith Center to help more and more children. I mean,

<v Speaker 2>who doesn't want to do that. And the food, Katie,

<v Speaker 2>the food was amazing. I wanted to go back for seconds.

<v Speaker 2>I was like, are we allowed to do this? It

<v Speaker 2>was so good. It was like this steak and this chicken,

<v Speaker 2>and they had chicken and waffles, which was I went.

<v Speaker 2>I grabbed like four pieces because I was like, it's

<v Speaker 2>so good. I love it. And then so many other things.

<v Speaker 2>The dessert was amazing. The drinks obviously the mint julips

<v Speaker 2>that everybody has during the Kentucky Derby. It is the

<v Speaker 2>drink of the Kentucky Derby, Apparol, Spritz is all those

<v Speaker 2>other ones. And then the actual Kentucky Derby, which was

<v Speaker 2>one of the craziest events that happened over the weekend.

<v Speaker 2>I mean literally going from dead last to first place

<v Speaker 2>and Golden Tempo was one of the coolest things to see.

<v Speaker 2>The people were so amazing. I just love the outfits

<v Speaker 2>because this is like where you can be the weirdest,

<v Speaker 2>craziest outfits that you can find. I mean literally flamboyant. Yeah,

<v Speaker 2>you can be flammby. I mean the bright pinks, the yellows,

<v Speaker 2>the women with the big hats, the men with the

<v Speaker 2>big hats. It was just a spectacle to see. Everyone

<v Speaker 2>was so nice there. I met Zach and Jen, who

<v Speaker 2>were really kind of putting on the event. I cannot

<v Speaker 2>say enough about them. They were awesome. Everybody has like

<v Speaker 2>hearts of gold there, and that's that's the coolest thing

<v Speaker 2>to see is everybody there was there to give a

<v Speaker 2>lot of money. I mean one of the things it

<v Speaker 2>was also a live auction there that was going on,

<v Speaker 2>and one of the ways they started off was, Hey,

<v Speaker 2>let's just see what happens. Let's start off at donating.

<v Speaker 2>This was not even for a gift, but donating ten

<v Speaker 2>thousand dollars and a hand goes up right away, and

<v Speaker 2>I was just like, oh, okay, these pocketbooks are deep.

<v Speaker 2>Oh everybody there was for a good cause and I

<v Speaker 2>I it filled my heart. I loved it. I met

<v Speaker 2>a lot of really nice, neat people there and had

<v Speaker 2>a blast. Man. I mean it was so much fun

<v Speaker 2>to just see everybody in their outfits. So it was now,

<v Speaker 2>thank Katie for getting you the time, Katie, very welcome.

<v Speaker 1>Actually I was in a surprise birthday party states away.

<v Speaker 1>Otherwise I would have been there because this is an

<v Speaker 1>event that, like you said, it's been around for a

<v Speaker 1>long Emily Griffith Centers, which what it used to be,

<v Speaker 1>has been around for almost one hundred years ago for

<v Speaker 1>every Katie, so they've been helping out for a really

<v Speaker 1>long time. So I'm glad you got to go ahead.

<v Speaker 3>How did you meet those people?

<v Speaker 1>Actually? I met them through our nonprofit program that we

<v Speaker 1>run here Colorado Converse Sections, and so they came in

<v Speaker 1>and to talk about their Kentucky Derby party and some

<v Speaker 1>other events that they have throughout the year that raise

<v Speaker 1>funds for their Griffith Centers. And again, they do a

<v Speaker 1>lot of good stuff for kids and folks in our community.

<v Speaker 1>So we're very happy that we're able to hang out

<v Speaker 1>with lot.

<v Speaker 3>Me know if you talk to them, because I'll try

<v Speaker 3>to go to the next event or something with him.

<v Speaker 3>I'd like to do something with them. Yes, that kind

<v Speaker 3>of stuff feels me.
