<v Speaker 1>Well is going on, guys. It is a Wednesday night,
<v Speaker 1>May sixth, twenty twenty six. I am the solemn monster.
<v Speaker 1>This is your AW Dynamite review. I wish I could
<v Speaker 1>be more excited about Dynamite tonight, but not a very
<v Speaker 1>exciting show. Tonight's show is really all about two things.
<v Speaker 1>It was about paying tribute to, without any hyperbole, one
<v Speaker 1>of the single greatest influential figures in the history of
<v Speaker 1>pro wrestling, who passed away earlier today at the age
<v Speaker 1>of eighty seven, That is Ted Turner. And the other
<v Speaker 1>thing was the main event, which was Darby Allen once
<v Speaker 1>again putting the AW World Championship on the line, this
<v Speaker 1>time against the TNT champion, Kevin Knight. I thought they
<v Speaker 1>had a hell of a main event. I wish I
<v Speaker 1>could say to save him for the rest of the show,
<v Speaker 1>but I really can. The rest of the show for
<v Speaker 1>me anyway, largely a bore. There was a whole lot
<v Speaker 1>of nothing going on tonight. I know they were setting
<v Speaker 1>things up for some additional matches for double or nothing,
<v Speaker 1>but just what they did was very boring. It was
<v Speaker 1>very dry. There just wasn't a whole lot of exciting
<v Speaker 1>stuff going on. Tonight. Again, I wish I could tell
<v Speaker 1>you otherwise, but this was not a great episode of Dynamite.
<v Speaker 1>But we did have Darby once again putting the title
<v Speaker 1>on the line, and already he has another championship match
<v Speaker 1>set up for next week. As I told you a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks ago, this is going to be a weekly
<v Speaker 1>occurrence until we get to double or Nothing when he
<v Speaker 1>drops the belt back to MJF, who he has been
<v Speaker 1>saying every week, you are not getting a rematch. Every
<v Speaker 1>time MJF comes out and asks him for a rematch,
<v Speaker 1>he says no, he denies him until tonight Darby finally
<v Speaker 1>told us what he wants from MJF if MJF is
<v Speaker 1>to get his rematch at double or Nothing. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>we'll have a contract signing on Dynamite next week. What
<v Speaker 1>it is that MJF will have to put on the line.
<v Speaker 1>Is it his career? Is it his ability to ever
<v Speaker 1>again challenge for the World Championship? Is it the Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>Diamond Ring. I'll let you know. We'll talk about that
<v Speaker 1>at the end. It actually happened on Collision because tonight
<v Speaker 1>is a three hour block. Collision is still on. By
<v Speaker 1>the way, Collision is in progress right now. I saw
<v Speaker 1>all the important stuff I needed to see in the
<v Speaker 1>first five minutes of Collision, and I said, that's good
<v Speaker 1>enough for me. Let's talk some dynamite. It is May sixth.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for joining me here on a Wednesday night.
<v Speaker 1>Darby doesn't decide who gets title shots, says blizz Fan. Well,
<v Speaker 1>evidently he does. He's the champion. He's been saying it
<v Speaker 1>for weeks. What do you mean he has though, no power.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently Tony Khan has bestowed the power upon him. This
<v Speaker 1>is like the third or fourth title match that he's made.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know who has the power anymore. We have EVPs,
<v Speaker 1>do they have power? We have Darby Allen making his
<v Speaker 1>own championship matches. Tony Khan I thought, was the ball,
<v Speaker 1>and we know he makes matches. There's multiple people apparently
<v Speaker 1>who have power in this company. The way the power
<v Speaker 1>is dispersed is a little confusing. Anyway, like and subscribe.
<v Speaker 1>Superchats are open. I don't think we have a whole
<v Speaker 1>lot of them so far. I set a superchat goal.
<v Speaker 1>I said, you know what, maybe tonight can be some
<v Speaker 1>phone calls. We haven't done phone calls in a while,
<v Speaker 1>so I set a little bonus superchat goal. We'll see
<v Speaker 1>if we hit that goal. Maybe we'll take some phone
<v Speaker 1>calls a little bit. I have everything set up. If
<v Speaker 1>we hit it, we'll do it. If not, then we won't.
<v Speaker 1>But superchats are open, so get them on in. I
<v Speaker 1>will be reading all of your messages, and of course
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate all of the support. Let us go ahead, though,
<v Speaker 1>and throw up the wheel and find out what the
<v Speaker 1>goal is tonight for be the booker, which is always
<v Speaker 1>a tough mountain to climb here on a Wednesday, just
<v Speaker 1>the way it is with the aw streams. But let's see, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's not happening. Five hundred and thirty likes. That is
<v Speaker 1>the goal. Hey Uffman, he says, he Man has the power.
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking forward to seeing he Man about a month away, right,
<v Speaker 1>I think June fifth. I believe Masters of the Universe.
<v Speaker 1>I actually have my tickets book to see Mortal Kombat too.
<v Speaker 1>I'm seeing it on Friday during the day so I
<v Speaker 1>could still be here for SmackDown. I watched Mortal Kombat
<v Speaker 1>on the flight into Los Angeles for the House of
<v Speaker 1>Glory show, the Mortal Kombat from five years ago, just
<v Speaker 1>so I can get acquainted with the characters that are
<v Speaker 1>going to be in this new movie. So I'm all
<v Speaker 1>ready to go MK two, and then the next month
<v Speaker 1>we have Masters of the Universe, and then later this year,
<v Speaker 1>what is it October? I think maybe as a street
<v Speaker 1>Fighter at to see Roman Reigns as a Kuma, Cody
<v Speaker 1>Rhodes as Guile. We have E Honda right, Oh God,
<v Speaker 1>who is it playing? I Honda again from New Japan. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I will let you know how it is when I
<v Speaker 1>see it on Friday. I will let you know how
<v Speaker 1>the movie is. Anyway, five hundred and thirty is the
<v Speaker 1>likes goal for be the booker tonight. Hiroki Goto, That's
<v Speaker 1>what I That's what I meant to say. Hiroki Goto
<v Speaker 1>is e Honda in the Street Fighter movie. Let's talk
<v Speaker 1>about Dynamite and the beginning of the show here tonight,
<v Speaker 1>because we had Tony Shavanni standing in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>the ring for what I was hoping, and I kind
<v Speaker 1>of imagine they were going to open the show with
<v Speaker 1>tonight and Shavanni is the perfect person to do this
<v Speaker 1>given his connections to WCW and Turner Broadcasting and all
<v Speaker 1>the wrestling shows that aired on Turner many years ago.
<v Speaker 1>So he was standing in the ring to pay tribute
<v Speaker 1>to Ted Turner, who, as I mentioned at the beginning
<v Speaker 1>of the stream, passed away this morning at the age
<v Speaker 1>of eighty. He had been diagnosed with Louis body dementia.
<v Speaker 1>I want to say it was about eight years ago
<v Speaker 1>is when he announced the diagnosis. Any type of dementia
<v Speaker 1>is just a horrible, insidious disease, Louis Body dementia in particular.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's what Robin Williams had. But he passed
<v Speaker 1>away this morning, and I'm going to go into greater
<v Speaker 1>depth on him and his impact on wrestling and some
<v Speaker 1>other historical stuff on the sound uff this weekend, as
<v Speaker 1>you would imagine, because this is a big deal, even
<v Speaker 1>though he had been out of the public spotlight for
<v Speaker 1>many years. But Shavanni is in the ring and he
<v Speaker 1>said that Ted Turner believed in pro wrestling, He believed
<v Speaker 1>in the fans, He believed that pro wrestling belonged on
<v Speaker 1>national television, and because of his vision, wrestling found a
<v Speaker 1>home on TBS and TNT. And he brought up starting
<v Speaker 1>him starting in the studio back in nineteen eighty five,
<v Speaker 1>and decades later because of Ted Turner's leadership, and now
<v Speaker 1>because of Tony Kahan and Warner Brothers, Discovery Wrestling lives
<v Speaker 1>on here on TBS and TNT. So he said, there's
<v Speaker 1>one man who knows this better than anybody, a man
<v Speaker 1>who arrived in the studios of TBS back in nineteen
<v Speaker 1>eighty seven and became one of the faces of the network.
<v Speaker 1>And at that point he introduced us to Sting. And
<v Speaker 1>so Sting comes out, no music, full face paint though,
<v Speaker 1>and the white beard. He's got the bomber jacket on,
<v Speaker 1>and Grandpa Sting makes his way down to the ring
<v Speaker 1>and he gives Schavani a hug, and he said that
<v Speaker 1>imagine having a billionaire who was all in on pro wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>Big Ted Sting. Can't believe how committed and devoted Turner was,
<v Speaker 1>even when Top Brass and his own company didn't like wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>and they would go to him and say, yeah, maybe
<v Speaker 1>you should cut ties with this wrestling stuff, and he said,
<v Speaker 1>this is a shoot. He goes. Turner would talk to
<v Speaker 1>the wrestlers. He would talk to the boys, and he
<v Speaker 1>would tell them, you know, keep doing your thing, because
<v Speaker 1>I got deep pockets. So he said, there wouldn't be
<v Speaker 1>a TNT title, there wouldn't be a Sting, there wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be a Darby Allen or a Tony Shavanni without Ted Turner,
<v Speaker 1>and Shavanni brings up Darby facing the Turner Network Television
<v Speaker 1>Champion tonight in the main event, Kevin Knight Sting said
<v Speaker 1>that he and Darby took a blowtorch to this place
<v Speaker 1>for three years. He called Darby the greatest tag team
<v Speaker 1>partner that he's ever had, and he said it's great
<v Speaker 1>to be back in South Carolina, and he's grateful for
<v Speaker 1>another all in billionaire who wants to keep the ball rolling,
<v Speaker 1>and that is Tony Kah. So Shavanni brings up that
<v Speaker 1>the side plates on the TNT and TBS titles are
<v Speaker 1>intended to honor the Turner pass, the Turner history wrestling
<v Speaker 1>on the Turner Networks. It's like the Turner Mansion or something.
<v Speaker 1>He said, Tony Kahn wanted that to be on those belts.
<v Speaker 1>So tonight they bring us three hours of Dynamite and
<v Speaker 1>Collision in tribute to the Maverick, not Logan Paul, not
<v Speaker 1>that Maverick, but in tribute to Ted Turner, and they
<v Speaker 1>did a ten bell salute. This was very classy. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I expected maybe they would say something they have like
<v Speaker 1>a graphic, maybe they would have Shavanni at the announced
<v Speaker 1>desk say something. This was maybe even more than I
<v Speaker 1>expect that. I know Sting was going to be there,
<v Speaker 1>and Sting obviously has a tie into the early years
<v Speaker 1>of WCW, late years of Crockett promotions, so very appropriate
<v Speaker 1>to have him there. It was a classy tribute, you know.
<v Speaker 1>It was a classy tribute to someone who cannot be
<v Speaker 1>overstated how vital a role Ted Turner played in the
<v Speaker 1>wrestling that you and I watched today, in the wrestling
<v Speaker 1>that you and I were watching ten years ago, twenty
<v Speaker 1>years ago, thirty years ago, you can draw a direct
<v Speaker 1>line to Ted Turner. It was those deep pockets that
<v Speaker 1>Sting mentioned, that Turner would boast about, that brought about
<v Speaker 1>the Monday Night War. You know, it was those deep
<v Speaker 1>pockets that allowed Eric Bischoff to go out there and
<v Speaker 1>bring in big names like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage
<v Speaker 1>and many many others, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, which
<v Speaker 1>then led to the nWo and everything that came from that,
<v Speaker 1>And it all goes back to Ted Turner asking Eric Bischoff,
<v Speaker 1>how can we compete with Vince McMahon and then giving
<v Speaker 1>Eric an hour of primetime every Monday night on TNT
<v Speaker 1>with the advent of Monday Nitro. Yeah, Bischof tells the
<v Speaker 1>story about you know, he gave him two hours. He
<v Speaker 1>didn't give him two hours, he gave him an hour.
<v Speaker 1>The story has evolved over the years. Nitro actually didn't
<v Speaker 1>go two hours until Memorial Day in nineteen ninety six.
<v Speaker 1>First night Scott Hall showed up by Nitro. That was
<v Speaker 1>the very first two hour Nitro. But he got primetime
<v Speaker 1>television to go head to head with Vince McMahon, and
<v Speaker 1>nobody had ever taken it to Vince before. And Vince
<v Speaker 1>used to tell the story of Turner calling him up
<v Speaker 1>on the phone one day and telling him, Hey, hey, Vince,
<v Speaker 1>I'm getting in the wrastling business, right, because that was
<v Speaker 1>a dirty word to Vince McMahon. Wrestling, right, That's that
<v Speaker 1>old Southern shit. It was a dirty word to Vince.
<v Speaker 1>Even in later years, there was literally a list of
<v Speaker 1>words ban words you couldn't say on TV, and wrestling
<v Speaker 1>was one of them. Even though wrestling is literally in
<v Speaker 1>the name of the company but Vince never really liked wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>He had his idea of what wrestling should be. But
<v Speaker 1>the thing with Vince is, and this alleged feud or
<v Speaker 1>competition between the two of them, it was never a
<v Speaker 1>competition between Ted Turner and Vince McMahon so much as
<v Speaker 1>it was a competition between Turner and Vince and Vince's
<v Speaker 1>own mind. In his mind, Vince McMahon was at war
<v Speaker 1>with Ted Turner. If Ted Turner spent more than ten
<v Speaker 1>seconds each day thinking about Vince mcma man, I would
<v Speaker 1>be stunned. I really would certain days, sure, right, because again,
<v Speaker 1>he wanted to compete. But I think in Vince McMahon's mind,
<v Speaker 1>he had it in his head that Like Turner was
<v Speaker 1>at war with him and it was his mission to
<v Speaker 1>like dude, he had so many other more important things
<v Speaker 1>going on in his day to day because wrestling is
<v Speaker 1>a very very small piece of Ted Turner's legacy, Right,
<v Speaker 1>we talk wrestling here. We're all wrestling fans as a
<v Speaker 1>wrestling show, so of course we talk about wrestling. But
<v Speaker 1>you know Turner's influence in the media world. You know
<v Speaker 1>the advent of twenty four to seven round the clock
<v Speaker 1>cable news, you can trace that directly back to Ted
<v Speaker 1>Turner in the advent of CNN, and then of course
<v Speaker 1>we can get into all you know TNT and the
<v Speaker 1>superstation TBS and Cartoon Network and all of the different
<v Speaker 1>media properties, and then of course his philanthropy work later on.
<v Speaker 1>He was he was a very unique character, was Ted Turner.
<v Speaker 1>Wrestling again is a very very small piece of his legacy.
<v Speaker 1>But if you're a wrestling fan, the way the shows
<v Speaker 1>are formatted on television, the nitro format from the late nineties,
<v Speaker 1>all of that was made possible because Ted Turner was
<v Speaker 1>a wrestling fan when a lot of people who worked
<v Speaker 1>for him were not. And if it were up to them,
<v Speaker 1>they wouldn't have wrestling on their network because wrestling was
<v Speaker 1>beneath them. Wrestling was low brown knuckle dragger bullshit. Turner's like, no,
<v Speaker 1>We're having wrestling because wrestling was very vital to the
<v Speaker 1>early days of TBS. It's what put that network on
<v Speaker 1>the map. He owed a debt of gratitude to wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>He was a big Ric Flair fan. I think Flair
<v Speaker 1>was part of the package when he bought WCW. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know he would have bought it with that Rick
<v Speaker 1>Flair he was a wrestling fan. So again I'll talk
<v Speaker 1>more about Ted Turner on the Sounduff on Sunday. A
<v Speaker 1>very very interesting individual and very classy tribute here to
<v Speaker 1>him at the beginning of Dynamite. It would be not
<v Speaker 1>if they at least acknowledged him on WWE television. It's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be very interesting because Vince is not in charge anymore.
<v Speaker 1>I think a Vince McMahon was still running the show
<v Speaker 1>day to day in WWE. No way they acknowledged Ted Turner.
<v Speaker 1>He's had to bug up his ass about Turner from
<v Speaker 1>day one. I really don't. I think he's petty enough
<v Speaker 1>that he would not acknowledge him. But he's not there,
<v Speaker 1>and so I do wonder if there'll be some sort
<v Speaker 1>of acknowledgment on television. We'll see. I'm very curious about that.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing like what we saw here, but even like a
<v Speaker 1>graphic or a word of acknowledgment on commentary from like
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole or Joe Tessitur on Friday or something. I'm
<v Speaker 1>very curious to see if we get anything. But the
<v Speaker 1>opening match of the night had John Moxley against Juice
<v Speaker 1>Robinson in a Continental Championship eliminator match. So after the
<v Speaker 1>ten minute time call, Robinson he backdropped out of a
<v Speaker 1>pile driver into a cradle for a two count. He
<v Speaker 1>went for the left hand of God. Moxley though, hit
<v Speaker 1>him on the or bit him. They hit him. He
<v Speaker 1>bit him on the forehead. Left hand of God, though
<v Speaker 1>did connect. Robinson ended up in a rear naked choke though,
<v Speaker 1>which led to a transition into a pile driver by
<v Speaker 1>Moxley to count only, and Moxley quickly transitioned into a
<v Speaker 1>bulldog choke, and there was a brief struggle and eventually
<v Speaker 1>Robinson faded out and the referee called for the bell.
<v Speaker 1>Juice has not been established as any sort of threat.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, come on now, I mean he has not
<v Speaker 1>been established on any of these shows as any sort
<v Speaker 1>of credible threat, certainly not since he came back from
<v Speaker 1>whatever his latest injury was. So there's just nothing exciting here.
<v Speaker 1>It was a match, you know, it was solid enough
<v Speaker 1>for what it was. But again, this was a pattern tonight.
<v Speaker 1>We had a lot of matches like this, very solid stuff,
<v Speaker 1>very solid stuff. But I want more than just solid, right,
<v Speaker 1>I eat solid food every day. I have solid bowel movements.
<v Speaker 1>I want my wrestling shows to be a little bit
<v Speaker 1>more than just solid, and that's really what Dynama was tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I was more interested to see how they were going
<v Speaker 1>to follow up on that Death Riders Will Osprey backstage
<v Speaker 1>training session from last week to see what the segment
<v Speaker 1>would be this week. Remember last week he showed up
<v Speaker 1>for training camp, so this was after now, mind you,
<v Speaker 1>if you go back to that segment from last week
<v Speaker 1>when Osprey showed up for training camp, remember the first
<v Speaker 1>question that Moxley asked him, were you cleared? And Ospray's like, no,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm going to Japan because I got to support
<v Speaker 1>my friends. And so he flew all the way fifteen
<v Speaker 1>hours to Japan, and in fact he did wrestle, and
<v Speaker 1>he is one third now of the never Open Weight
<v Speaker 1>six man chance is the never open weight six way
<v Speaker 1>titles right? Whatever the fight, They have so many fucking
<v Speaker 1>belts over there. But he is a champion now. So
<v Speaker 1>even though he was not medically cleared by the AAW
<v Speaker 1>training staff, he was well enough to fly to Japan
<v Speaker 1>and after a long flight, actually wrestle. So that was
<v Speaker 1>a little a little strange, I would say, But him
<v Speaker 1>and Hanai and Great o'conn are now the champions. So
<v Speaker 1>we got another training segment from earlier today. Daniel Garcia
<v Speaker 1>said that they don't care about Ospbury winning titles in
<v Speaker 1>Japan with his friends. He's going to have to work
<v Speaker 1>for it if he truly wants it. And we see
<v Speaker 1>Osprey's on the floor. Hees on all fours doing neck
<v Speaker 1>bridges with Wheeler Yudas sitting on his back. Moxley sits
<v Speaker 1>down next to him and he asked Osprey if he's
<v Speaker 1>ever heard of the concept of death ground, and Will
<v Speaker 1>says nope. So Moxley explains that it's ground that you
<v Speaker 1>can't escape from. The only options are do or die.
<v Speaker 1>That's where Ospray is right now. If they don't get
<v Speaker 1>his neck right, if they don't get his head right,
<v Speaker 1>it's all over. He's done. Ospray could have a career
<v Speaker 1>in aw and he can get paid and he can
<v Speaker 1>hang out like the rest of the posers that they
<v Speaker 1>have there. But Ospray is built different. Ospray is on
<v Speaker 1>death ground. Nothing else exists except what's in front of
<v Speaker 1>you right now, Moxley orders him on your back right.
<v Speaker 1>They're going to continue their training and then pack walks
<v Speaker 1>over and he tells the camera man that's it, and
<v Speaker 1>he cuts off the camera. The entire storyline reason that,
<v Speaker 1>if you think about it, that Ospray even has a
<v Speaker 1>bad neck in the first place is because of John Moxley.
<v Speaker 1>John Moxley and the Death Riders are the ones in
<v Speaker 1>storyline who broke this man's neck. And when he came back,
<v Speaker 1>he was full of rage and he was full of angers,
<v Speaker 1>threatening to kill John Boxley. I'm gonna murder this son
<v Speaker 1>of a bitch. And now you know, you watch him
<v Speaker 1>in these segments and you know he loses one match
<v Speaker 1>to him, and he's it's like he's coming to class
<v Speaker 1>like a college kid every week for Professor Max. Now
<v Speaker 1>they're telling an actual story here, and I could see
<v Speaker 1>where it's going. I mean, I keep harping on this.
<v Speaker 1>This should be the final of the Owen and then
<v Speaker 1>Osprey gets that win back over Moxley, and then that
<v Speaker 1>sends him to the main event of Wembley Stadium. Hopefully
<v Speaker 1>that's the way it'll play out, because I think that
<v Speaker 1>would make for, yeah, the the ending of this story
<v Speaker 1>that would make the most sense. But yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>just how just how much Ospray has sort of surrendered
<v Speaker 1>himself to the Death Riders after losing one match. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, I just it's kind of funny to me.
<v Speaker 1>We had a double Jeopardy match between Dax Harwood and
<v Speaker 1>Orange Cassidy, and the rules were that if Cassidy wins,
<v Speaker 1>the Conglomeration will get a tag team title match against FTR.
<v Speaker 1>If FTR wins, then they and Tomaso Champa would get
<v Speaker 1>a shot at the trios titles. And I honestly don't
<v Speaker 1>even know how anybody could give a shit at this
<v Speaker 1>point about the trio's titles, Like who could possibly care?
<v Speaker 1>Who could possibly care about these belts? So Cassidy had
<v Speaker 1>a ton of backup with him, including Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly,
<v Speaker 1>the Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Dax had Cash Wheeler,
<v Speaker 1>Stokeley half theway to Masso Champa, RPG Weiss and the
<v Speaker 1>Dogs in his Corner's like a fucking lumberjack match, only
<v Speaker 1>not so. The action spilled out to the floor. Late
<v Speaker 1>in the match, Harwood suplex Cassidy onto the announced desk,
<v Speaker 1>then he sent him back into the ring. Cassidy battled back,
<v Speaker 1>but stokely jumped up on the apron. He caused the distraction.
<v Speaker 1>David Finley took a cheap shot just as OC hit
<v Speaker 1>the ropes, so Hartwood went for the ring bell, referee
<v Speaker 1>caught him, took it away. Cassidy went for an orange punch. Harwood,
<v Speaker 1>though avoided it and hit a slingshot lagerbomb for a
<v Speaker 1>near fall. Cassidy came back with a stun dog and
<v Speaker 1>an orange punch immediately after it covered him for a
<v Speaker 1>near fall only but Dax got an armbar applied after
<v Speaker 1>Cassidy was selling some wrist pain. Cassidy turned it into
<v Speaker 1>a stack pin and he got the flash pin. He
<v Speaker 1>got the shock win here over Dax, and after the
<v Speaker 1>match everybody outside they started brawling. The Babyfaces stood tall.
<v Speaker 1>They left Rocky, Romero and Trend Bretta all alone to die.
<v Speaker 1>Rocky ate a combo from Strong and O'Reilly Bretta ate
<v Speaker 1>some super kicks from the Bucks, spear from Copeland, the
<v Speaker 1>low kick from Christian. The match was fine. It was alright,
<v Speaker 1>Cassidy and a partner getting or I presume Cassidy. They
<v Speaker 1>said the conglomeration, I think we'll get a tag team
<v Speaker 1>title shot. I would imagine that that's a match that's
<v Speaker 1>going to happen before Double or Nothing, because everything is
<v Speaker 1>set for Adam Copeland and Christian Cage to win the
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles a Double or Nothing. I don't really
<v Speaker 1>see Cope and Christian against the Conglomeration. I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>could do it. I would imagine it would be the
<v Speaker 1>Conglomeration against FTR. So if they're going to do that match,
<v Speaker 1>I would presume we get that next week or the
<v Speaker 1>week after, but at some point before Double or Nothing.
<v Speaker 1>Now we see footage of Chris Jericho being attacked backstage
<v Speaker 1>last week by the Demand, except he really wasn't attacked
<v Speaker 1>backstage last week by the Demand because that was taped
<v Speaker 1>the week before. Why because Jericho was actually in New
<v Speaker 1>York City filming some scenes for Dexter Resurrection, Big TV
<v Speaker 1>Star he is, but he was back live this week,
<v Speaker 1>and Renee is backstage with Jericho, who says he's pretty
<v Speaker 1>fear he's pretty ef in furious, and the time for
<v Speaker 1>talking is done. It's time to fight, and unlike the Demand,
<v Speaker 1>he wants to take it to the people. So Jericho
<v Speaker 1>takes the microphone and he makes his way through the
<v Speaker 1>crowd to the ring, saying he's going to keep it simple.
<v Speaker 1>He's done with the three on one attacks, he's done
<v Speaker 1>with all the bullshit. So he demands that Rikochet come
<v Speaker 1>out to talk face to face, because nothing says that
<v Speaker 1>the time for talking is done like inviting your adversary
<v Speaker 1>out to the ring for more talking. Do they read
<v Speaker 1>this shit before they actually, like recited on television, they do?
<v Speaker 1>They listen to it back and does somebody look at
<v Speaker 1>it and go, oh, you know what, that doesn't sound right.
<v Speaker 1>Let's change this up a little bit. The time for
<v Speaker 1>talking is done. Let me go out to the ring
<v Speaker 1>and demand that Ricochet come out and talk. So we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have a chat. Apparently, Ricochet comes out, Total Leona
<v Speaker 1>comes out, Bishop Kahn right, all three men. Now they
<v Speaker 1>come down to the ring and Ricochet says he tried
<v Speaker 1>to do Jericho a favor by telling him to leave,
<v Speaker 1>but he didn't listen, and he wonders if Jericho has
<v Speaker 1>some kind of humiliation kink, and that, boys and girls,
<v Speaker 1>is what you call projection when you have Ricochet talking
<v Speaker 1>about a humiliation kink in the middle of the ring.
<v Speaker 1>So Ricochet, he heals on the crowd in South Carolina
<v Speaker 1>a little bit. He refers to Charleston, North Carolina, which
<v Speaker 1>I thought maybe he did it on purpose, but it's
<v Speaker 1>entirely possible he just had no fucking idea where he
<v Speaker 1>was and maybe it wasn't by design. But then Jericho
<v Speaker 1>looked at the camera he mouthed the words South Carolina,
<v Speaker 1>just to correct him. So Bishop Kahn whispers something to Ricochet,
<v Speaker 1>and Ricochet goes, hey, you know what, that's a good idea.
<v Speaker 1>I like that idea, and he brings up six years ago,
<v Speaker 1>Jericho invented a type of match. Actually, Jericho invented a
<v Speaker 1>type of match twenty years ago, twenty one years ago
<v Speaker 1>and the money in the bank match. But six years
<v Speaker 1>ago he invented a certain match here in aw So
<v Speaker 1>he's going to beat Jericho in his own creation. He
<v Speaker 1>wants a stadium stampede match, since they're in a stadium
<v Speaker 1>at double or nothing, but he questions if Jericho can
<v Speaker 1>even find four other partners to watch his back. Jericho
<v Speaker 1>calls Rikoshet a dumb son of a bitch and says
<v Speaker 1>it's South Carolina and he'll find four partners. But if
<v Speaker 1>he can't find any partners, he'll take them all on
<v Speaker 1>by himself. And then he called Ricochet bald and he
<v Speaker 1>punched him in the face, and he cleared Goa from
<v Speaker 1>the ring all by himself. He cleared these other men
<v Speaker 1>from the ring all alone, and he blasted Ricochet with
<v Speaker 1>a Judas effect, and Ricochet was laid out. He was
<v Speaker 1>in perfect position. He was going to give him a
<v Speaker 1>lion salt as he went to go do the move.
<v Speaker 1>It was Bishop I think was Bishop khn right, No,
<v Speaker 1>it was Totallyona, Totallyona cut him off with a punch.
<v Speaker 1>And so they're beating up Jericho and here comes the
<v Speaker 1>Hurt Syndicate, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin MVP. They make their
<v Speaker 1>way down to the ring to make the save. And
<v Speaker 1>so there's two partners right there that Jericho can count
<v Speaker 1>on a double or nothing, maybe three if MVP actually wrestles.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure if he'll be wrestling or not on
<v Speaker 1>that show, but I have to point this out. In
<v Speaker 1>all of this, Tony Schavanni referred to Shelton Benjamin as
<v Speaker 1>Benjamin Shelton. Yes, he pulled a Hogan on Shelton Benjamin.
<v Speaker 1>Remember Shelton Benjamin's tweet after Hulk Hogan name dropped him
<v Speaker 1>and called him Benjamin Shelton in one of those interviews
<v Speaker 1>that Hogan was doing it basically, Shelton tweeted. He was
<v Speaker 1>like he did the Will Smith thing where it's like
<v Speaker 1>keep my basically, keep my fucking name out of your mouth.
<v Speaker 1>Benjamin Shelton, he called him, and Shelton I think is
<v Speaker 1>from was it Orangeburg? South Carolina? He's a South Carolina boy.
<v Speaker 1>This was a homecoming for him. This was a homecoming
<v Speaker 1>for Benjamin Shelton. Good job, Tony. So backstage, Harley Cameron
<v Speaker 1>and Mina Sheirakawa, they were being interviewed by Renee. Harley
<v Speaker 1>was conflicted about wrestling Chris Statlander in the tag team
<v Speaker 1>match tonight. Mina, though, fired her up and told her
<v Speaker 1>we have a match to win, and she tore at
<v Speaker 1>Harley's shirt. She ripped her shirt and her just gigantic
<v Speaker 1>breasts fell out of the shirts she was wearing a bra,
<v Speaker 1>and Mina apologized because she didn't know that she didn't
<v Speaker 1>have her gear on, and Harley ends up taking the
<v Speaker 1>rest of her shirt off and she's all hanging out
<v Speaker 1>there and this was again her way of firing up
<v Speaker 1>Harley Cameron and then Renee told Harley, you've got to
<v Speaker 1>go put something on. Yes, I'm sure for many of
<v Speaker 1>you this was probably your favorite segment of the night.
<v Speaker 1>To be honest with you, when I look up and
<v Speaker 1>down the show, outside of the main event, may it
<v Speaker 1>may have been, it may have been the most exciting
<v Speaker 1>thing to happen on this show. Kazuchika Okada against the
<v Speaker 1>bounty hunter Brian Keith. That shaved head that Brian Keith
<v Speaker 1>has with the little rattail in the back, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>that is certainly a choice. One thing that has not changed, though,
<v Speaker 1>outside of his hairstyle, is that Brian Keith is actually
<v Speaker 1>really good. I know it could be hard to remember
<v Speaker 1>because we don't see him on the show very often.
<v Speaker 1>They did mention that he's been on a roll. I
<v Speaker 1>guess he's got a little bit of a wind streak
<v Speaker 1>going and Ring of Honor, but ever since the Learning
<v Speaker 1>Tree stuff came to an end, he's pretty much been
<v Speaker 1>relegated to Collision and or Ring of Honor. Same for
<v Speaker 1>Big Bill. If you only watch Dynamite or even Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>and Collision, because they're not always on Collision, they've kind
<v Speaker 1>of vanished and it's easy to forget. You know that
<v Speaker 1>Brian Keith is actually a hell of a hand here.
<v Speaker 1>But like the Juice Robinson match earlier, you see these
<v Speaker 1>two guys out there in the ring and you already
<v Speaker 1>know the finish before the bell even rings. You know,
<v Speaker 1>there's not a whole lot of drama here to what
<v Speaker 1>we're seeing. So they grappled early on. We got some graps. Anyway, way,
<v Speaker 1>late in the match, Okata landed a dropkick. He went
<v Speaker 1>for the rain maker. Keith, they'll block the attempt with
<v Speaker 1>a headbutt. Now, he had tried unsuccessfully twice before this
<v Speaker 1>to hit a tiger driver, and so he you know,
<v Speaker 1>the double underhook power bomb. On the third attempt though,
<v Speaker 1>he nailed it, but he only got a two and
<v Speaker 1>a half count. So then he went for a diamond
<v Speaker 1>dust out of the corner. Okada, though avoided it, finally
<v Speaker 1>hit the rain maker and he got the win. Again.
<v Speaker 1>This was an eliminator match for the International title, not
<v Speaker 1>an actual championship match. A red dead rat tail redemption.
<v Speaker 1>There you go. So after the match, Okada got on
<v Speaker 1>the mic and he said that he was the International
<v Speaker 1>champion unlike a Takeshta, but he wants more so he's
<v Speaker 1>coming for the AEW World Championship. Bitch, everybody wants Darby.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody is coming for the world title, except the one
<v Speaker 1>man who you would expect to come for the world
<v Speaker 1>title who made his return to television last week, Swerve Strickland.
<v Speaker 1>He's not going after the world title. He's chosen to
<v Speaker 1>go after the ring of honor world champion. And I
<v Speaker 1>don't even think it's gonna be for the title when
<v Speaker 1>they meet. Yeah, we hear Swerve. I'll get to the
<v Speaker 1>Swerve stuff here in a second, but we hear Swerve
<v Speaker 1>talking about power. I want all the power. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, call me crazy here, but I would think
<v Speaker 1>of all the championships that you could be chasing after,
<v Speaker 1>the one that would offer you the most power of
<v Speaker 1>all is the AW world title that you yourself once held.
<v Speaker 1>And I get it. It's not a match that they
<v Speaker 1>want to do right now, so of course they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>stay away from it. But again, I just can't help
<v Speaker 1>but point out how goofy it is that Swerve is
<v Speaker 1>back and Darby is handing out title shots every single
<v Speaker 1>week like Candy. And look, Darby could say no, but
<v Speaker 1>he shows up to go after Bandido of all people,
<v Speaker 1>and not take advantage of this small window of opportunity
<v Speaker 1>to take the championship away from the one hundred and
<v Speaker 1>seven Emo kid who is currently walking around with it.
<v Speaker 1>You know that belt is big, that's a big championship
<v Speaker 1>that bell. I'm surprised Darby doesn't tip over when he's
<v Speaker 1>holding that championship up. But now Okata has thrown his
<v Speaker 1>name into the hat. And what is Androde going to
<v Speaker 1>think about this? Right? Androtte has said I think in
<v Speaker 1>the past that he wants to go after the World championship.
<v Speaker 1>They're part of the same faction. They had a video
<v Speaker 1>package tonight for Androtti, but he was not on the show,
<v Speaker 1>so I don't know. I don't know if that might
<v Speaker 1>cause some issues within the Callus family. The ops were backstage,
<v Speaker 1>minus Hook who was not there. Samoa Joe said that
<v Speaker 1>he's worried. Last week he put out an offer that
<v Speaker 1>he's afraid is not being heard. He tells Will Osprey
<v Speaker 1>to hear these words. John Moxley is telling you how
<v Speaker 1>to think. I won't do that. I want you to
<v Speaker 1>think however you want to think. He sees that Osprey
<v Speaker 1>is destined for greatness and some even say he'll be
<v Speaker 1>the next world champion. How much will be left for Osprey? Though,
<v Speaker 1>to be such a champion with men like Joe by
<v Speaker 1>his side, it could be a very long time. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Hook is gone this week, he's filming a movie. Joe
<v Speaker 1>puts people in a better position to succeed. He's gonna
<v Speaker 1>put Anthony Bowen's in a better position to succeed. Katsiori
<v Speaker 1>Shabata is already one of the best in the world.
<v Speaker 1>The choice is up to Osprey, and it's clear as day.
<v Speaker 1>Joe puts his hand out one last time, but if
<v Speaker 1>it's not accepted, the next thing Joe puts out will
<v Speaker 1>be his fist. So the Death Riders currently have will
<v Speaker 1>Osprey in training camp, but now the Ops they want
<v Speaker 1>to welcome Osprey into the fold. They should have all
<v Speaker 1>the factions in this company vying for will Ospray the
<v Speaker 1>way that all the managers were for Bam Bam Bigelo
<v Speaker 1>back in the day. There when Bambam joined WWF in
<v Speaker 1>the eighty all the managers every week it was like
<v Speaker 1>a different manager. They would cut promos. You know, it's
<v Speaker 1>like their big offer to lure Bam Bam in offer
<v Speaker 1>their services to him, and then ultimately he went with
<v Speaker 1>Oliver Humperdink. He went with Oliver Humperdink over Bobby Heenen
<v Speaker 1>and Jimmy Hart and people like that. They need to
<v Speaker 1>have like a faction sweepstakes. The conglomeration, right, they want
<v Speaker 1>will Ospray, the Kallus family. They want to make amends
<v Speaker 1>and bring back will Ospray, bring him into the full.
<v Speaker 1>The dogs they want will Ospray. Actually, the dogs probably
<v Speaker 1>don't want will Ospray. I don't think will Ospray wants
<v Speaker 1>the dogs either. Chris Statlander and Hikarashida against Mina Shirakawa
<v Speaker 1>and Harley Cameron. Late in the match, shei'da inadvertently took
<v Speaker 1>out Statlander with a running knee strike. Cameron hit a
<v Speaker 1>backstabber on Shidah. Statlander then took out Harley with a
<v Speaker 1>kick and then knocked Mina off the apron and she'da
<v Speaker 1>delivered a falcon arrow and pinned Harley to win the
<v Speaker 1>match for her team. And when it was over, Statlander
<v Speaker 1>had a look on her face like she wasn't very happy.
<v Speaker 1>Little friendly fire there, But again, Shidah has been acting
<v Speaker 1>very heelish for many weeks now on television, So this
<v Speaker 1>is all building to some sort of big blow up
<v Speaker 1>between them at some point, maybe a match beyond that. Again,
<v Speaker 1>it's just it's hard to get excited about some of
<v Speaker 1>this stuff. Honestly, even Statlander here when this was over,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know the look on her face. I know
<v Speaker 1>she was trying to sell whatever the point of this
<v Speaker 1>all was, but even she had a look on her
<v Speaker 1>face like, man, she's in this weird transitional period where
<v Speaker 1>she's no longer the world champion and they're telling this
<v Speaker 1>story now where she is in a good position because
<v Speaker 1>they have an actual story for her. But it's not
<v Speaker 1>like this is doing much for Statlander. I mean, there's
<v Speaker 1>a huge step down for her. And the crowd in
<v Speaker 1>South Carolina wasn't terribly excited about any of this either.
<v Speaker 1>We got a pre tape promo with the aforementioned Swerve
<v Speaker 1>Strickland and Prince Nana still had that wanted poster of Bandido.
<v Speaker 1>He said he told people two months ago that he
<v Speaker 1>was after power. Power is the ability to decide who
<v Speaker 1>eats and who starves, and it comes from being the
<v Speaker 1>most violent and even the most wanted. Swerve said, there's
<v Speaker 1>no one more dangerous than someone who was after power
<v Speaker 1>and he wants all of it. Evidently not evidently not
<v Speaker 1>not much of an explanation either for why he's choosing
<v Speaker 1>to go after Bandido. I don't what power does Bandido have?
<v Speaker 1>He explained that to me. If this is truly about power,
<v Speaker 1>what power is it? And don't tell me the Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor World Championship or I'll punch you in the face.
<v Speaker 1>What power is it that Bandido possesses that Swerve thinks
<v Speaker 1>he will gain by beating Bandido. I don't know the
<v Speaker 1>answer to that question, but I do know one thing.
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking forward to the match. The explanation sucks, but
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking forward to the match. They had not made
<v Speaker 1>it official yet for double or nothing. Clearly this will
<v Speaker 1>take place there and that will only make that card stronger. Now,
<v Speaker 1>Renee was backstage with Brodido after this, and Bandido said
<v Speaker 1>that Swerve was right. He is the most wanted and
<v Speaker 1>if Strickland wants to fight, come and get it. It's
<v Speaker 1>like God, the Jack Jack Palance in City Slickers, coming,
<v Speaker 1>Get me, coming, get me right. The gold is up there,
<v Speaker 1>The gold is out there in Nell's Hills. Somewhere. Come
<v Speaker 1>and get me, Come and get me. The fuck was
<v Speaker 1>his name in that movie. Ah, I haven't seen City
<v Speaker 1>Slickers in a long City Slickers Too also a very
<v Speaker 1>good movie. I wonder if Jack Palence is still alive,
<v Speaker 1>how old would he be at this point? He was
<v Speaker 1>ancient back then, and that movie had to come out
<v Speaker 1>late nineties. What would he be like one hundred and
<v Speaker 1>thirty one now if he was still alive. Curly, thank you,
<v Speaker 1>there you go? All right? City Slickers Too was like
<v Speaker 1>the legend of Curly. Yeah, the gold, the gold is
<v Speaker 1>in the second the phony Gold when they realized that, wait,
<v Speaker 1>this is not real. So Brody King was standing there
<v Speaker 1>when Bendido was responding to Swerve, and then Brody said
<v Speaker 1>that he knows Bendido's got this, but if Swerve messes
<v Speaker 1>with his friends, then you mess with him. It's like ruche.
<v Speaker 1>You mess with the bull, you get the hearns all right.
<v Speaker 1>So he died in two thousand and six, that was
<v Speaker 1>the year before I started the sound off. He was
<v Speaker 1>eighty seven. Oh, he was eighty seven. Ted Turner was
<v Speaker 1>eighty seven, all right, so yeah, he would be almost
<v Speaker 1>one hundred and ten. No, actually, no, he'd be one
<v Speaker 1>hundred and seven. Wow, he could have made it anyway.
<v Speaker 1>The main event. Yeah, we're up to the main event already, folks.
<v Speaker 1>You could see like, not a whole lot of excitement
<v Speaker 1>going on here on this television show until we got
<v Speaker 1>to the main event. We have the TNT champion Kevin Knight,
<v Speaker 1>his title not on the line. He is challenging though,
<v Speaker 1>for the aw World Championship currently held by Darby Allen.
<v Speaker 1>So I'll spare you. So nothing really happened before the
<v Speaker 1>ad break here. After the ad break, Darby delivered a
<v Speaker 1>code bred for a near fall and Knight ended up
<v Speaker 1>out on the floor and Darby does his suicide dive
<v Speaker 1>and he comes charging out to the floor towards where
<v Speaker 1>the announced desk is and he knocks Kevin Knight backwards
<v Speaker 1>and the back of his head smacks into the announced desk,
<v Speaker 1>and even the announcers were a little concerned about the
<v Speaker 1>impact of his head smacking the desk. So Darby then
<v Speaker 1>sat him in a chair and he climbed up top.
<v Speaker 1>Knight got off the chair and he ends up pulling
<v Speaker 1>Darby off the top with a rana and Darby just
<v Speaker 1>crashes and burns and splats on the floor outside, so
<v Speaker 1>Knight sat Darby on top of the announced desk. He
<v Speaker 1>goes back into the ring and he delivers this spectacular
<v Speaker 1>looking springboard clothesline. And again Darby is sitting there and
<v Speaker 1>he comes off with this springboard clothes line. Both of
<v Speaker 1>them go just ass over tea kettle. They roll over
<v Speaker 1>the desk. They take this hard spill onto the floor,
<v Speaker 1>just this ridiculous bump, I mean easily the biggest of
<v Speaker 1>the night. And Night came up limping he was selling
<v Speaker 1>his knee. He tosses Darby back inside. He climbs up
<v Speaker 1>topy dives at Darby. Darby catches him though into the
<v Speaker 1>scorpion deathlock, and Knight struggled a little bit, but he
<v Speaker 1>ultimately made it to the bottom rope for the break.
<v Speaker 1>So Darby climbs to the top for a coffin drop,
<v Speaker 1>but Knight gets the knees up upon the landing and
<v Speaker 1>then Knight places Darby on the buckles in the corner.
<v Speaker 1>Darby elbow's free. He tries for another coffin drop. Knight,
<v Speaker 1>though ends up hanging him upside down in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>and he goes to the opposing corner on the same
<v Speaker 1>side of the ring. He's going to go coast to
<v Speaker 1>coast and he delivers this tremendous coast to coast drop kick,
<v Speaker 1>and the announcers point out correctly that that is the
<v Speaker 1>same move that he he used on Darby in their
<v Speaker 1>Continental Classic match that can cussed Darby and ultimately resulted
<v Speaker 1>in him being pulled from the tournament. He was, I
<v Speaker 1>believe the report at the time was that he was
<v Speaker 1>like majorly can cuss, like he got fucked up in
<v Speaker 1>that match. But for Darby, he probably gets concussed just
<v Speaker 1>rolling out of bed, So for him it was probably like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>I'll take a week off and I'll be okay. But
<v Speaker 1>he hits it and Darby looks like he's done for
<v Speaker 1>He races up to the top rope, he comes off
<v Speaker 1>with the UFO splash his finish and he nails it.
<v Speaker 1>Now he immediately begins selling the knee, so he didn't
<v Speaker 1>cover him immediately. But yeah, there wasn't a whole lot
<v Speaker 1>of time that went by, maybe like three or four seconds,
<v Speaker 1>and then ultimately he covers Darby and Darby gets a
<v Speaker 1>shoulder up. We got super Darby. Knight went for another
<v Speaker 1>splash Darby caught him though with a guillotine. Night powered out. Darby,
<v Speaker 1>though ended up draping him over the top rope and
<v Speaker 1>he delivered a coffin drop to the back and the
<v Speaker 1>momentum then sent Kevin Knight flying through the air, landing
<v Speaker 1>on the mat. Darby raced up top, he hit a
<v Speaker 1>proper coffin drop and then he got the pin to
<v Speaker 1>retain the championship. So after the match was over Grandpa's sting,
<v Speaker 1>he walks back down to the ring to celebrate with Darby,
<v Speaker 1>and he was paying respect to Kevin Knight as well.
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Knight gets to his feet, he puts his hand out,
<v Speaker 1>he shakes hands with Darby. All lovey dovey. Here is
<v Speaker 1>the Dynamite portion of the the event. Tonight concluded, I
<v Speaker 1>always love it, how like I watched in the HBO
<v Speaker 1>Max app. And when Dynamite ends, they don't just go
<v Speaker 1>into collision. It says like this event has ended, I
<v Speaker 1>have to back out. I have to refresh and then
<v Speaker 1>click the collision button and then it plays collision. They
<v Speaker 1>do treat it as two separate shows, one hell of
<v Speaker 1>a main event. I will say to close out what
<v Speaker 1>I thought overall, was a very boring show. I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>I know we got some good wrestling tonight, this show
<v Speaker 1>is fucking boring. There was just a whole lot of
<v Speaker 1>nothing going on, even though I know they were pushing
<v Speaker 1>certain things forward for some of the matches at the
<v Speaker 1>pay per view, and that's fine. It just was not
<v Speaker 1>a very exciting show. You know, I was struggling. I
<v Speaker 1>was struggling to get through this one. This was not great.
<v Speaker 1>If I want to watch Collision, I would have stuck
<v Speaker 1>around and watched the entire third hour. That's what this
<v Speaker 1>felt like. This week's episode is sponsored by WIS. I
<v Speaker 1>know there's quite a few of you who listened to
<v Speaker 1>this podcast who were small business owners as I am,

<v Speaker 1>right now at wis dot com slash Harmony. That's wis
<v Speaker 1>dot com slash Harmony. So Darby, of course, in this match,
<v Speaker 1>he continues to just kill himself, taking crazy stupid bumps.
<v Speaker 1>But it's all he knows how to do, you know.
<v Speaker 1>And it's the same stuff they had him doing in
<v Speaker 1>that second stint that he had for a month or
<v Speaker 1>whatever it was when he was the TNT champion, just
<v Speaker 1>fighting different people every single week until the wheels fall off.
<v Speaker 1>That's what Orange Cassidy did when he was the International champion, right,
<v Speaker 1>just keep fighting every single week until the wheels fall off.
<v Speaker 1>So Collision started. I said, let's see what they do.
<v Speaker 1>At the beginning of Collision, Sting finished celebrating with Darby.
<v Speaker 1>He went to the back. Now Darby is sitting on
<v Speaker 1>the apron and we hear mjf's music, and so MJF
<v Speaker 1>makes his way out onto the stage and he said, look,
<v Speaker 1>the reign of terror here continues, but it's time to
<v Speaker 1>give me my rematch. And Darby says no, so that
<v Speaker 1>bugs Bunny meme. No, no, He reiterates what he's been
<v Speaker 1>saying now for weeks. You're not getting a rematch, so
<v Speaker 1>mj and again, the point is you don't get a
<v Speaker 1>rematch a less you put something on the line. So
<v Speaker 1>what does Darby have to put on the line, or
<v Speaker 1>MJF rather, what does he have to put on the line.
<v Speaker 1>MJF says, okay, I'll tell you what. I'll put my
<v Speaker 1>scarf on the line. That actually got a pop from
<v Speaker 1>the crowd, which the crowd was pretty quiet for a
<v Speaker 1>good chunk of the of the show. They popped though
<v Speaker 1>for him offering the birdberry scarf. He offered the scarf,
<v Speaker 1>Darby said no. MJF says, I'll tell you what. How
<v Speaker 1>about I put my dynamite diamond ring on the line.
<v Speaker 1>Darby says no. MJF offers him money. I'll give you
<v Speaker 1>a million dollars and Darby said, look, you're talking to
<v Speaker 1>a guy who used to be homeless in his car,
<v Speaker 1>living under a bridge. He goes, your money is no
<v Speaker 1>good here. No, he wants something that Max holds near
<v Speaker 1>and dear to his heart, something that he would fly
<v Speaker 1>fifteen hours to Turkey for to get gets sewn onto
<v Speaker 1>his head. He wants him to put his hair on
<v Speaker 1>the line. And MJF told him, come on now, be reasonable,
<v Speaker 1>and Darby said, next week contracts signing. Either you say
<v Speaker 1>yes or you're never getting another shot at this ever again.
<v Speaker 1>And MJF, for the first time in his career, is speechless.
<v Speaker 1>He made it like he was about to say something,
<v Speaker 1>and then he just dropped the mic and he left,
<v Speaker 1>and we weren't done yet because then we heard the
<v Speaker 1>coin drop. An out comes Kazuchka Okada after his win
<v Speaker 1>over Brian Keith earlier in the night, he issued the
<v Speaker 1>challenge to Darby. So Okada comes down to the ring
<v Speaker 1>and now they're in the ring and he confronts Darby
<v Speaker 1>and he just goes next week you and me for
<v Speaker 1>your world title, and Darby tells him you're on bitch,
<v Speaker 1>and so official that on Dynamite. Next week we are
<v Speaker 1>gonna get Darby Allen defending the aw World Championship against
<v Speaker 1>Kazusko Okada. Now, the idea of Darby beating Okada clean
<v Speaker 1>makes me physically ill, especially before they do the Okata
<v Speaker 1>Takesha match. Like Tony Khan should be relieved of his
<v Speaker 1>duties if Okada goes in there next week and loses clean.
<v Speaker 1>So that's not going to happen. I would imagine that
<v Speaker 1>perhaps Takeshta will show up, maybe a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>a distraction. Even then, like the idea of Darby pinning
<v Speaker 1>Okada again, it just makes me sick. It just should
<v Speaker 1>not be happening. So I don't know how they're going
<v Speaker 1>to ultimately do the finish, but I'm sure Takeshta will
<v Speaker 1>show up and be involved in some way as he
<v Speaker 1>should be, as he should be unless they just want
<v Speaker 1>to have Okada beat Darby, which would be quite the swerve.
<v Speaker 1>They just walks around with two belts, drops one of
<v Speaker 1>them to Takeshta at double or nothing. I'd be okay
<v Speaker 1>with that. But anyway, so this hairshit, I was racking
<v Speaker 1>my brain trying to figure out, Okay, what could they
<v Speaker 1>have MJF put on the line here? And I kept
<v Speaker 1>coming back to two things. He puts his career on
<v Speaker 1>the line, which, yes, of course that makes the telegraphs
<v Speaker 1>the finish of the match. But let's be honest here,
<v Speaker 1>even this stipulation telegraphs the finish of the match. I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to hear from people like, oh, they couldn't
<v Speaker 1>do that, solid monster. They couldn't have him put his
<v Speaker 1>career on the line because then it gives away the finish.
<v Speaker 1>They couldn't have the Hangman stipulation where I promised to
<v Speaker 1>never again be able to challenge for the world title
<v Speaker 1>if I lose, because that would telegraph the finish. Do
<v Speaker 1>you honestly believe that MJF is going into this fucking
<v Speaker 1>pay per view and getting his head shaved? Either way,
<v Speaker 1>it telegraphs to finish. So the hair thing look what
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna do is they're going to lean into the
<v Speaker 1>fact that MJF. He's very materialistic, he's very vain person.
<v Speaker 1>They've had people on TV make fun of him for
<v Speaker 1>it before, you know, going to Turkey and getting you know,
<v Speaker 1>getting the hair procedure and everything, the hair plugs, whatever
<v Speaker 1>it is, and so it kind of for MJF. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it's something that is obviously important to him. He spent
<v Speaker 1>a lot of money on it. I get it, I
<v Speaker 1>get it. But still it's like, eh, hair versus title.
<v Speaker 1>He's getting the belt back on that show either way.
<v Speaker 1>So I mean, at the end of the day, none
<v Speaker 1>of this really matters. But I mean, whatever, man, I can't,
<v Speaker 1>I can't. I don't know. I don't know anymore. Will
<v Speaker 1>Ospray there was one more thing from Collision. I wanted
<v Speaker 1>to mention here. Will Osprey was standing in the back
<v Speaker 1>with Brene and with Doc Samson for a medical update.
<v Speaker 1>And it's funny because the doctor is like, even though
<v Speaker 1>Will ignored my advice and he went to Japan and
<v Speaker 1>he wrestled. Whatever he's doing in his training, he says,
<v Speaker 1>seems to be working. And they're going to get an
<v Speaker 1>MRI this week. And if it comes back good, he's
<v Speaker 1>going to clear him. So that's the update on Osprey.
<v Speaker 1>She asked Osprey then about his relationship with the Death Riders,
<v Speaker 1>and he says he appreciates them letting him in on
<v Speaker 1>their training, but he's not a Death Rider. He never
<v Speaker 1>will be. But there's things that he knows he has
<v Speaker 1>to do to get to where he wants to be. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>that's about as good of an explanation as you're going
<v Speaker 1>to really get, realistically, considering how much of a blood
<v Speaker 1>feud this was up until a few weeks ago. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this is now the phase of his story where he
<v Speaker 1>has to sort of build himself back up from the
<v Speaker 1>ground up. And that's the whole purpose of the Death
<v Speaker 1>Riders here, is to get will Osprey to be that
<v Speaker 1>killer version of himself, to get him ready for that
<v Speaker 1>World Championship run that he is going to have, presuming
<v Speaker 1>he wins the world title at Wembley Stadium, as most
<v Speaker 1>people think he will. After that, that was the end
<v Speaker 1>of Collision for me. So that was the end of
<v Speaker 1>the most important parts of Collision at that point, and
<v Speaker 1>that was the end of the show. There you go,
<v Speaker 1>a very good main event tonight a very good main event.
<v Speaker 1>I can't say much about everything else. There just was
<v Speaker 1>nothing here that really excited me. Unfortunately, what if he
<v Speaker 1>changes his style because of the neck injury. See the
<v Speaker 1>thing with will Osprey, though, is he's not going to.
<v Speaker 1>He might incorporate some new moves into his move set,
<v Speaker 1>but will Osprey is always he's not going to be
<v Speaker 1>able to help himself. Will Osprey is still going to
<v Speaker 1>do all the stuff that he normally does. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to do the Fosbury Flop. He's going to do all
<v Speaker 1>sorts of crazy shit, the sky Twister press and everything
<v Speaker 1>else that's not going to go away. He's going to
<v Speaker 1>take these ridiculous bumps. He's gonna get dropped on his head.
<v Speaker 1>He probably should change his style up, but he's not
<v Speaker 1>going to. All right, let's see what we got here
<v Speaker 1>in terms of the super chats. Read your messages here,
<v Speaker 1>let's see what we got going on. Somebody asked before,
<v Speaker 1>what the like skull wash? It doesn't matter. We're not
<v Speaker 1>going to hit it, so it don't matter. It's looking
<v Speaker 1>like no be the booker and no phone calls. But
<v Speaker 1>let's get through what we got here. I appreciate you guys.
<v Speaker 1>Dried Chicken says rest in peace to Ted Turner. Also,
<v Speaker 1>he says, if only MJF pulled out the pinky finger,
<v Speaker 1>and he says one million dollars like Doctor Evil. The
<v Speaker 1>Uofman says me, They're ripped open Harley's shirt and then
<v Speaker 1>Harley removed it herself. Greatest dynamite ever. I think Ufman
<v Speaker 1>needs to take a cold shower tonight. Easy there, Big
<v Speaker 1>Fella also says he man has the power. Yeah. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>Swerve is auditioning for a role in the Masters of
<v Speaker 1>the Universe sequel Mason Rook. Do you think Mason Rook
<v Speaker 1>is the next Brock Lesnar or obi Obi? Really No,
<v Speaker 1>there's only one Obi. There is only one obi Wan. No,
<v Speaker 1>he is not. He'll be the first Mason Rook. He
<v Speaker 1>will not be Brock. He will not be Oba soup executive.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wow wow, So that sounds like somebody I would
<v Speaker 1>like to work for. I'm a big chicken soup guy.
<v Speaker 1>I would like to work for the soup executive. He says,
<v Speaker 1>thanks for the dynamite review. You're very welcome. EJ. Slent
<v Speaker 1>buy or sell Savage versus chonoh or steamboat versus Shoshu
<v Speaker 1>Savage versus Chonoh and EJ Slent just the last word here,
<v Speaker 1>buy Cell Rent Kerry, Von Eric versus Hyabusa, Marifuji versus
<v Speaker 1>Ziggler or Rock against Nagada, my boy carry against Hyabusa.
<v Speaker 1>That could be a disaster. You know, it's interesting. Rock
<v Speaker 1>against Eugi Nagata actually sounds kind of interesting. I think
<v Speaker 1>I would probably go Marifuji and Ziggler, and then Rock
<v Speaker 1>and Nagada, and then the Von Eric and Hyabusa, probably
<v Speaker 1>in that order is what I would do. Who is
<v Speaker 1>Mason Rooke. He is the new rook e who recently
<v Speaker 1>debuted in NXT. Does not look like your typical NXT star,
<v Speaker 1>which is one reason he stands out so much. I
<v Speaker 1>like that. I like the fact that not everybody has
<v Speaker 1>to look the same and sound the same and be
<v Speaker 1>the same, because when that happens, that's fucking boring. I
<v Speaker 1>haven't seen too much of him though. What limited stuff
<v Speaker 1>I have seen of him though is impressive. But again,
<v Speaker 1>I would not be making comparisons to brock Lesner or
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi or anybody else. Let him carve out his own
<v Speaker 1>path and let's see how he does. Because we all
<v Speaker 1>know that if he's not making improvements fast enough in
<v Speaker 1>six months, he'll be on the cut list. Because that's
<v Speaker 1>how it works in WWA. We as we well know
<v Speaker 1>that is how it works in that company. Look at
<v Speaker 1>that an hour on the dot, very economical. Tonight. The
<v Speaker 1>next time I am live with you will be on
<v Speaker 1>Friday night. We will be talking SmackDown. Get ready, everybody,
<v Speaker 1>it is the funeral of the gingerbread Man. Yes, the
<v Speaker 1>excitement continues here on YouTube. We have the gingerbread Man.
<v Speaker 1>Will be will be honored, he will be laid to
<v Speaker 1>rest on Friday night. I don't know what else they've
<v Speaker 1>announced for SmackDown. Have they announced anything else for SmackDown?
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know if they have, I don't even know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know. But that'll be on Friday night.
<v Speaker 1>If you missed it, brand new episode of The Uncrowned
<v Speaker 1>Wrestling Show went up yesterday. Covered a lot of different
<v Speaker 1>topics on there, so I hope you enjoyed it, and
<v Speaker 1>if you haven't listened to it yet, what the hell
<v Speaker 1>is wrong with you? So go ahead and check that
<v Speaker 1>out the Aerial Hellwani show feed, or if you want,
<v Speaker 1>you could find it on the dedicated Uncrowned Wrestling show feed.
<v Speaker 1>There is a separate feed for the show now specif
<v Speaker 1>so go check that out. EJ says, how would you
<v Speaker 1>book Terry Funk against Kota Ibushi marketed as middle aged?
<v Speaker 1>And see? Okay, so here's here's the thing. You don't.
<v Speaker 1>You don't book Terry Funk against Cody Aboushie as far
<v Speaker 1>as like, Okay, here's what we're gonna do. You you
<v Speaker 1>book the match and then you just let them go
<v Speaker 1>out there and kill each other, because no matter what
<v Speaker 1>you say, they're not going to listen to you. So
<v Speaker 1>you can book the match and then just be hands
<v Speaker 1>off and let them go out there and just, you know,
<v Speaker 1>do what they do. That's it. That's all you have
<v Speaker 1>to do. It's the easiest match in the world to book.
<v Speaker 1>They just go out there and do a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>crazy shit. Justin g Mason Rook may be the love
<v Speaker 1>child of Joe and of Joe and Owens and Thomas.
<v Speaker 1>Are you live for Backlash? Backlash? Backlash? Yes? I am
<v Speaker 1>live for Backlash. I'm live for the five matches that
<v Speaker 1>we are getting in Backlash. You know what, I'm not
<v Speaker 1>even complaining about it. The show starts at six o'clock Eastern.
<v Speaker 1>We have five matches, and so you know, two and
<v Speaker 1>a half hours of the show will be commercials, but
<v Speaker 1>the show will be over by ten at the absolute latest.
<v Speaker 1>I love it. I love it. And then I'm live
<v Speaker 1>on YouTube, so yes, I will be live on Saturday night,
<v Speaker 1>and then you get a sound off on Sunday. So
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna get a double podcast from me on Saturday
<v Speaker 1>and Sunday. You should all be very excited. Backlash. I
<v Speaker 1>can't even be booked for Backlash. You realize that promo,
<v Speaker 1>that Joey Styles promo was twenty years ago. This year,
<v Speaker 1>time flies. Yes, ad Lash, Get ready for ad Lash.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody can't wait for ad Lash on Saturday. Anyway. Be well,
<v Speaker 1>stay safe, have your selves at a great rest of
<v Speaker 1>your night. Come on back, and I'm sure we'll have
<v Speaker 1>a longer night. Well, it's definitely gonna be a longer
<v Speaker 1>night because we've got three hours of SmackDown. But we'll
<v Speaker 1>talk about SmackDown on Friday night. And no matter how
<v Speaker 1>good or bad the show is, we always have fun here.
<v Speaker 1>Until then, Take care, guys,
