<v Speaker 1>Well that was a quick show. This is your Backlash review.
<v Speaker 1>You know the show is over early? Not even three
<v Speaker 1>hours long? Was this pl which tells me that they
<v Speaker 1>really wanted to make sure that this show was over
<v Speaker 1>before the UFC pay per view started number one and
<v Speaker 1>which started at nine o'clock and number two probably also
<v Speaker 1>the Laker game, but more so UFC because I know
<v Speaker 1>there is a UFC show tonight. I don't have any
<v Speaker 1>issue with it. I thought it was great in and
<v Speaker 1>out just like that. But yes, we have to talk
<v Speaker 1>about Backlash tonight, and we got a bunch of stuff
<v Speaker 1>to dive into, which will be kind of nice because
<v Speaker 1>if you were with me last night for the SmackDown review,
<v Speaker 1>we had to talk about the funeral of the gingerbread men. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>and not just one segment. It was a story threat
<v Speaker 1>throughout the entire night. So now we could put that
<v Speaker 1>in the rear view and we can talk about this show,
<v Speaker 1>which included a main event of Roman Reigns defending the
<v Speaker 1>World Have Youweight Championship against Jacob Fatu, not a match
<v Speaker 1>where I expected to see Roman Reigns lose the championship.
<v Speaker 1>He did not lose the championship, just won it three
<v Speaker 1>weeks ago. Realistically, they were not taking the title off
<v Speaker 1>of Roman Reigns three weeks after winning it a wrestle media.
<v Speaker 1>But the thing I kept mulling over, and you heard
<v Speaker 1>me talking about on many of the streams, is I
<v Speaker 1>wonder what finish they're gonna go with, and who, if
<v Speaker 1>anybody is going to show their face and get involved
<v Speaker 1>in the finish of the match. He's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a one and done where Roman just beats him one, two,
<v Speaker 1>three and that's it. And I actually like the way
<v Speaker 1>they did the finish tonight because they did the finish
<v Speaker 1>in a way where we got a clean match between
<v Speaker 1>the two of them. We did not have the ussos,
<v Speaker 1>We did not have some big surprise solo soko, and
<v Speaker 1>nobody liked that. We had a one on one battle,
<v Speaker 1>a war between these two men that ended with Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns pinning FA two in the middle of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and Fa too when the match was over, absolutely losing
<v Speaker 1>his mind, going nuts like a madman and putting Roman
<v Speaker 1>down multiple times with the Tonguan death grip. Really trying
<v Speaker 1>to get that Tonguin death grip over. He's got the
<v Speaker 1>fingers taped and everything. Now this is his new gimmick,
<v Speaker 1>and he was a wild man out there. He even
<v Speaker 1>took Adam Pierce when he came out to try to
<v Speaker 1>settle him down, threw him out of the ring. And
<v Speaker 1>I know it came across like, okay, so long, Roman,
<v Speaker 1>We're not going to see you for a few months.
<v Speaker 1>That would be awful. Of course, since he's the world
<v Speaker 1>heavyweight champion. Roman is scheduled for clash in Italy at
<v Speaker 1>the end of this month. I can't say that he's
<v Speaker 1>going to be on Raw this week or next week
<v Speaker 1>or the week after that, but he is scheduled to
<v Speaker 1>be on the next pl sounds like we're going to
<v Speaker 1>get two different world title matches on that show, and
<v Speaker 1>I would figure they would want Roman on that show
<v Speaker 1>in Italy, kind of like Julia honestly. I mean, he's
<v Speaker 1>got some family ties. He's gotten Italian side of his family, right.
<v Speaker 1>I believe that's where his mom is from. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so what was pretty well established when this match was
<v Speaker 1>over is that they are going to run this back,
<v Speaker 1>which is great. And now they have established Jacob fa
<v Speaker 1>too as this just unstoppable, dangerous individual who can snap
<v Speaker 1>at a moment's notice, and it did come across like
<v Speaker 1>this was more of a full on heel turn for
<v Speaker 1>him here. Nothing they've done on TV in recent weeks
<v Speaker 1>would indicate that, but his behavior when this match was
<v Speaker 1>over would indicate that this probably was meant to be
<v Speaker 1>a heel turn for Jacob fa too. And we'll see
<v Speaker 1>where it goes as far as the ussos are concerned,
<v Speaker 1>because you know, he cut that off last night on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown and said, you better not be thinking about getting
<v Speaker 1>involved in my match. Stay away, and they did. As
<v Speaker 1>far as we know, they were not even there today.
<v Speaker 1>How are they going to react to this? Right, Roman's
<v Speaker 1>still the champion, but you know, Jacob put him down.
<v Speaker 1>How are the USO's gonna, you know, react to this
<v Speaker 1>and what's their response going to be? So that's going
<v Speaker 1>to be the story now coming out of this until
<v Speaker 1>we get the rematch, and we will be getting a rematch.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure between these two there was nothing blowaway in
<v Speaker 1>the ring tonight. I thought the main event was very good.
<v Speaker 1>Eoski and Oscar was also very good to me. They
<v Speaker 1>had the match of the night, and maybe the most
<v Speaker 1>wild stat of all when we talk about this backlast show,
<v Speaker 1>is the fact that Eoski and Osca actually got more
<v Speaker 1>time in the ring than Roman Reigns and Jacob Faughtu did,
<v Speaker 1>if you can believe it. They both went about the
<v Speaker 1>same amount of time, But I think EO and Oscar
<v Speaker 1>got maybe thirty seconds longer than they did in the
<v Speaker 1>main event, which is crazy, more than enough time for
<v Speaker 1>both matches, more than enough time for both these matches
<v Speaker 1>and the people involved to go out there and tell
<v Speaker 1>the story they needed to tell. EO and Oscar I
<v Speaker 1>always knew they were going to have a very good match.
<v Speaker 1>I never for one second doubted the quality of the
<v Speaker 1>match they would have when they were out there. What
<v Speaker 1>I question was what would the feeling be with them
<v Speaker 1>out there fighting and Kyrie saying nowhere to be found?
<v Speaker 1>And I was kind of hoping that maybe they could
<v Speaker 1>work out some sort of arrangement with Kyrie just to
<v Speaker 1>get her into at least finish out this story, you know,
<v Speaker 1>with her two friends. I understand if they did go
<v Speaker 1>to her and she said no, I probably would have
<v Speaker 1>said the same thing. I would have said, piss off.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if they went to her or not.
<v Speaker 1>I'm guessing not. When the match was over, that that
<v Speaker 1>really was the one big thing that was missing. As
<v Speaker 1>good as the match was, great match, right, but there
<v Speaker 1>was an actual story here and you watch them out there,
<v Speaker 1>and you watch the finish of the match, and something's
<v Speaker 1>missing because there was a story that was being told
<v Speaker 1>on television for many months, and again we never got
<v Speaker 1>the payoff to it. This was supposed to be it.
<v Speaker 1>Tonight was supposed to be the night, and it wasn't there. Now,
<v Speaker 1>had they done this MATCHIA, ain't no way They're going
<v Speaker 1>out there and getting eighteen minutes. Okay, so they actually
<v Speaker 1>got more time tonight than they would have a WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>But the trade off here is that even if they
<v Speaker 1>would have gone to wrestle WrestleMania got half that if
<v Speaker 1>they got nine minutes of WrestleMania. Kyrie was still employed
<v Speaker 1>at that time, I believe, and so they could have
<v Speaker 1>actually finished the story off with Kyrie saying on that
<v Speaker 1>show and I would rather have that than nine more minutes.
<v Speaker 1>I would rather them go out there and have a
<v Speaker 1>good match instead of a very good match, but give
<v Speaker 1>us that payoff at the end. So that was the
<v Speaker 1>one thing that was missing. I'm like, ah, man, this crowd, man,
<v Speaker 1>they would have gone crazy. If they would have done
<v Speaker 1>this in a way where Kyrie finally stood up to Oscar,
<v Speaker 1>and what a great ending that would have been. So
<v Speaker 1>unfortunately tonight we didn't get it. That was the one
<v Speaker 1>thing that was missing there was when the match was over,
<v Speaker 1>the two women came together, there was a reunion between
<v Speaker 1>the two of them, EO and Oscar. They put their
<v Speaker 1>differences aside. And the way Oscar was acting, the way
<v Speaker 1>Oscar was behaving, the way Oscar was kind of waving
<v Speaker 1>to the crowd, there's something a little more than just
<v Speaker 1>the ending of a match and hey, you know, paying
<v Speaker 1>respect to my opponent going on here, there was something
<v Speaker 1>going on here where I'm not sure if I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to say this was her last match, but it
<v Speaker 1>just it came across to me like Osca, if she
<v Speaker 1>isn't done, maybe winding down very soon. I hope I'm wrong,
<v Speaker 1>because I still feel like she's got a lot to contribute.
<v Speaker 1>I know she's been there for a long time. I
<v Speaker 1>hope it's not the end for her, but it's just
<v Speaker 1>that that vibe. I got that vibe with what was
<v Speaker 1>going on there in the postmatch. But I hope I'm wrong,
<v Speaker 1>But Dan Housen actually got a match here on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Dan Hausen has been all over the place, He's been
<v Speaker 1>all over the TV shows, and the fans love him.
<v Speaker 1>He's over. He sells a lot of merch, so of
<v Speaker 1>course they're gonna run him into the ground until people
<v Speaker 1>are sick of seeing him. So we got a match
<v Speaker 1>on this show. Now we came into this pl only
<v Speaker 1>five matches were announced for this show, not a single
<v Speaker 1>Women's championship match on the show. But they had time
<v Speaker 1>for Dan Housen and a mystery partner against the Miz
<v Speaker 1>and Kit Wilson. And there were a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>talking about who the mystery partner was going to be.
<v Speaker 1>There were a lot of people thinking it was going
<v Speaker 1>to be cm punk. I had people tweeting me all
<v Speaker 1>the betting odds, about the betting od I don't give
<v Speaker 1>a fuck about the betting odds. The fuck do I
<v Speaker 1>care about the betting odds. Don't give a shit. It
<v Speaker 1>was never gonna be cm punk. I don't know why.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know where this narrative came from, other than
<v Speaker 1>the two of them were friends. They were not going
<v Speaker 1>to use cmpunk for this. Jelly Roll is the one
<v Speaker 1>that I kept coming back to because he actually had
<v Speaker 1>involvement with these men in this story leading into WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>Had things gone differently, he very likely was going to
<v Speaker 1>be in the main event of this show, or one
<v Speaker 1>of the main events. Think about that, had things gone
<v Speaker 1>a little bit differently with Randy Orton and Pat McAfee,
<v Speaker 1>and it was not jelly Roll. It was not jelly Roll,
<v Speaker 1>It was not cmpunk, it was not Royce Keys, it
<v Speaker 1>was none of these people. In fact, who it turned
<v Speaker 1>out to be was not exactly a big name, literally,
<v Speaker 1>no one big. Let that be a clue. Let that
<v Speaker 1>be a small clue as to who his tag team
<v Speaker 1>partner was. I think my perspective on this may actually
<v Speaker 1>be quite different than you're going to hear from a
<v Speaker 1>lot of other people. Maybe maybe not, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>especially coming off my diatribe last night during the SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>review when it came to the gingerbread garbage. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>hate this the way that I think some people may
<v Speaker 1>end updating it now. Don't get me wrong. It had
<v Speaker 1>no business being on this show. When you are so
<v Speaker 1>limited that you only have five matches to fill on
<v Speaker 1>your premium live event, this should not be one of
<v Speaker 1>those matches. And I understand, Oh you want to have
<v Speaker 1>that one come down match or the comic relief. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>not on a card that has five matches. Not when
<v Speaker 1>so many other performers on your show. Not when so
<v Speaker 1>many other wrestlers are left out in the cold with
<v Speaker 1>no spot on the card whatsoever. This match should have
<v Speaker 1>been on SmackDown. It was a television match, through and
<v Speaker 1>through anybody who's upset with the fact that this ended
<v Speaker 1>up on the pla over some of the other stuff
<v Speaker 1>that we could have had one. I feel you, I
<v Speaker 1>feel you, But I did not hate what they did
<v Speaker 1>here we'll talk about what ended up happening. You combine
<v Speaker 1>all of this though, with the other matches on the show.
<v Speaker 1>I thought backlash overall it was it was good. It
<v Speaker 1>was a good show. It was not a great show.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what number I would give to it,
<v Speaker 1>not anything terribly high, but it was it was good.
<v Speaker 1>I mean again, the actual interring action we got in
<v Speaker 1>most of the matches was good, but that wasn't all
<v Speaker 1>we got because the biggest thing that they were hyping
<v Speaker 1>up for this show was John Cena, who retired in December.
<v Speaker 1>He was the host of WrestleMania three weeks ago already
<v Speaker 1>he was back. I think he lives in Tampa. I
<v Speaker 1>said this the other day. For him, it's easy because
<v Speaker 1>he could probably go home and sleep in his own
<v Speaker 1>bed tonight. And he had been hyping on his social
<v Speaker 1>media that there was going to be some sort of
<v Speaker 1>epic and these are words that he was using. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not just pulling this out of my ass here.
<v Speaker 1>He was using words like epic. He was using words
<v Speaker 1>like historic history making it was going to rock the
<v Speaker 1>very foundation of WWE. When you start doing that and
<v Speaker 1>you start using words like that, nine times out of ten,
<v Speaker 1>there is no way you are going to be able
<v Speaker 1>to live up to your own hype. So I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why they do this. They've done this before, they
<v Speaker 1>continue to do it. I know they're trying to sell,
<v Speaker 1>you know, ESPN subscriptions, but they never do themselves any
<v Speaker 1>favors by using words like that, because invariably, you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>just leave people very disappointed no matter what it is
<v Speaker 1>that you announce, and I'm sure it will be the
<v Speaker 1>same tonight. However, most people, myself included, figure, well, this
<v Speaker 1>is going to be tied into this new Club WWE
<v Speaker 1>thing that they seem to be making scene of the
<v Speaker 1>face of it's their new fan club. They haven't rolled
<v Speaker 1>it out officially yet. We still don't know what the
<v Speaker 1>membership fee is going to be and all that, And
<v Speaker 1>I think a lot of people figured that it was
<v Speaker 1>tied into that. That's why Sena was going to be
<v Speaker 1>on the show. Must be tied into Club WWE. And
<v Speaker 1>who's to say, by the way, that it won't be.
<v Speaker 1>We don't know for sure that there won't be some
<v Speaker 1>sort of Club WWE tie in here, but that's not
<v Speaker 1>what it was. The announcement from John Cena tonight was
<v Speaker 1>that coming soon. He didn't even tell us when. We
<v Speaker 1>have no date. We have no date, we have no location,
<v Speaker 1>we have no time, We have no additional details as
<v Speaker 1>of yet on this. Maybe tomorrow, but there is going
<v Speaker 1>to be an event titled the John Cena Classic. You know,
<v Speaker 1>at NXT we had the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, tag team wrestling is dead in WWE, so
<v Speaker 1>we don't have any tag team classics anymore. But there's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be the John Cena Classic, and basically the theme
<v Speaker 1>of it is going to be very similar to what
<v Speaker 1>Sena pushed for on his final show, on that Saturday
<v Speaker 1>Night's main event that we had in December, where there
<v Speaker 1>were people in the company, one person in particular, Bruce,
<v Speaker 1>who wanted John Cena to have his match with Gunther
<v Speaker 1>and that was going to be the one match on
<v Speaker 1>that show, an entire show built around John Cena, no
<v Speaker 1>other matches except John Cena against Gunther. And it was
<v Speaker 1>Sina as a shoot legit who pushed for the idea
<v Speaker 1>of having matches on the card that showcased talents from NXT.
<v Speaker 1>That's how we got Cody Rhodes against Obafemi. That's how
<v Speaker 1>we got soul Ruka against Bailey, That's how we got
<v Speaker 1>aj Styles and Dragon Lee against Leon Slater and Javon Evans.
<v Speaker 1>And it's a good thing they did that because those
<v Speaker 1>are the matches that really ended up carrying the show
<v Speaker 1>in many ways. So this is basically following the same concept,
<v Speaker 1>only this event, Seen is attaching his name to it.
<v Speaker 1>It's going to be an annual well, he hopes it
<v Speaker 1>will be an annual event. He honestly, he admits he
<v Speaker 1>doesn't even know if it's going to work. The idea
<v Speaker 1>is that it's going to be a one time event,
<v Speaker 1>but hopefully they'll do it maybe once a year going forward,
<v Speaker 1>and it'll pit WWE main roster talents and matches against
<v Speaker 1>NXT talents. Again, very similar to what we saw a
<v Speaker 1>few months ago. I don't believe he ever used the
<v Speaker 1>word tournament or you know, it's not like a Survivor
<v Speaker 1>Series style match or anything like that. He just said
<v Speaker 1>that there will be matches hitting talent from main roster
<v Speaker 1>against NXT and that is the idea behind it. Yeah, somebody,
<v Speaker 1>somebody in the chat mentioned Mason Rook. Mason Rook, that's
<v Speaker 1>that's his new name. Huh? Will? Uh? What's it? What's
<v Speaker 1>what's the guy's name again? Will? Will? Is it not
<v Speaker 1>Will Cruiz. I already forgot the guy's last name. I'm
<v Speaker 1>already calling him Mason Rook. I forgot his other name.
<v Speaker 1>Seene is a big fan of that guy he just
<v Speaker 1>debuted on NXT. Seen it was posting stuff on social
<v Speaker 1>media about him. You can tell he's a big fan
<v Speaker 1>of that guy. I see. I think someone like him
<v Speaker 1>is gonna end up doing real well on a show
<v Speaker 1>like this. Cruise, Thank you, Will Cruise. I was right, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>it is Will cruise. So the idea is that they're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have these matches and there's going to be a championship,
<v Speaker 1>which just what we need, the creation of more championships.
<v Speaker 1>I know in this case, if it's a championship that's
<v Speaker 1>more of a trophy, it's not a championship that's meant
<v Speaker 1>to be defended. Yeah, kind of like the owen Hart
<v Speaker 1>Foundation belt that you get if you win the owen
<v Speaker 1>Hart Tournament in aw or if you win the Andre
<v Speaker 1>the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, you get the Andre the
<v Speaker 1>Giant Trophy. We see it one night, we never see
<v Speaker 1>it again. If it's something like that, fine, it's basically
<v Speaker 1>the equivalence of a trophy or a medal or something
<v Speaker 1>a certificate of achievement, something to that effect. What we
<v Speaker 1>don't need is some sort of championship that is to
<v Speaker 1>be defended. We don't need that. But there's going to
<v Speaker 1>be a belt made in his name, and the winner
<v Speaker 1>of this competition is going to become the John Cena
<v Speaker 1>Classic Champion. How do you win this competition? This is
<v Speaker 1>going to be the point of contention. Now we don't
<v Speaker 1>have all the details yet, but the way that he
<v Speaker 1>described it, which is very weird. The way that he
<v Speaker 1>described it is that there's going to be a series
<v Speaker 1>of matches. However, the key here is that they're going
<v Speaker 1>to implement fan voting. The fans will be able to
<v Speaker 1>make their voices heard as far as who they like,
<v Speaker 1>who they don't like. Everybody who qualifies for this Everybody
<v Speaker 1>who is going to be wrestling on this show is
<v Speaker 1>automatically qualified to be voted on by the fans as
<v Speaker 1>the John Cena Classic Champions. So you could go out
<v Speaker 1>there and have a match or matches on this show
<v Speaker 1>and lose every single match, and it doesn't matter because
<v Speaker 1>if the fans like you enough and they vote for you, you
<v Speaker 1>will supersede everybody else and you will win the competition.
<v Speaker 1>So basically, it's a popularity contest. Having the actual matches
<v Speaker 1>is meant to be a showcase for people, but the
<v Speaker 1>wins and losses here they don't matter, which is why
<v Speaker 1>I think the idea of even having a championship in
<v Speaker 1>the first place is incredibly fucking dumb. I mean, why
<v Speaker 1>even bother having a belt, the hell do you need
<v Speaker 1>a belt for, assuming it is going to be a belt,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if he didn't call it a belt.
<v Speaker 1>He called it a championship. I hear championship, I think belt.
<v Speaker 1>So there's a lot that we still have to learn
<v Speaker 1>as far as exactly how this thing is gonna work.
<v Speaker 1>Is this epic? Right? I mean, is this an epic announcement?
<v Speaker 1>Some people will say it is. I'm not one of
<v Speaker 1>those people. No, it is not epic. Is it historic?
<v Speaker 1>Not really? Not really, because again it's just basically playing
<v Speaker 1>off what we already saw in December. This is not
<v Speaker 1>a new concept. And also the idea of fan voting
<v Speaker 1>is something that we've also seen before in WWE many
<v Speaker 1>years ago. We had Taboo Tuesday, we had Cyber Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>and those shows did so well that they got rid
<v Speaker 1>of the concept. And I think the only time they
<v Speaker 1>brought it back. I think they brought it back for Telion.
<v Speaker 1>And I've always said, like, I'll get a question in
<v Speaker 1>the mailbag every now and then, maybe maybe even every
<v Speaker 1>couple of years from somebody asking me about, oh, should
<v Speaker 1>they bring back Cyber Sunday, And I'm like, no, I
<v Speaker 1>was never a big fan of it. I didn't like it.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't care for it. When those pay per views
<v Speaker 1>wererolled around, I was like, Eh, let's just get this
<v Speaker 1>over with. That's just me. I wasn't really a big
<v Speaker 1>fan of the way they used to, you know, implement
<v Speaker 1>the fan voting and do those shows. I always thought,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, this gimmick works a lot. But plus again,
<v Speaker 1>it's a pay per view. So part of it for
<v Speaker 1>me is like when I was going into a pay
<v Speaker 1>per view back then, I wanted to know what the
<v Speaker 1>fucking card was and we never knew. Back then. It
<v Speaker 1>was like, well, the fans are going to vote, we
<v Speaker 1>didn't know what the matches were going to be. To me,
<v Speaker 1>that's a TV gimmick. You can do that on an
<v Speaker 1>episode of Raw. You can do that on an episode
<v Speaker 1>of SmackDown. That's fine. I mean, fuck, we go into
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown on most weeks and we don't even have most
<v Speaker 1>of the card put together. Four matches are being made
<v Speaker 1>during the show itself, so there's no harm and doing
<v Speaker 1>a concept where you put it to fan vote. So
<v Speaker 1>now they're basically taking the old taboo Tuesday and cyber
<v Speaker 1>Sunday concept and they're reviving it, just in a different
<v Speaker 1>kind of way. There's nothing really historic or epic about it.
<v Speaker 1>I think here's what I like about it. I liked
<v Speaker 1>the idea of shining a spotlight on talents from NXT,
<v Speaker 1>which again is like what they did in December. That
<v Speaker 1>was big for Obafemi to get in the ring with
<v Speaker 1>Cody Roadse. That was big for Soul Ruka to get
<v Speaker 1>a win, right, a Vlushi one over Bailey Javon Evans,
<v Speaker 1>Leon Slater. I know Leon's a TNA guy, but you know,
<v Speaker 1>they went out there and they were you could tell
<v Speaker 1>like they knew that was a big opportunity for them
<v Speaker 1>in front of a big audience to show up and
<v Speaker 1>show out, and they did. So I like that and
<v Speaker 1>doing it once a year. There's no harm in doing that, right,
<v Speaker 1>It's a special, one night only thing. They think of
<v Speaker 1>evolution last year the Old Women's Show, right, and that
<v Speaker 1>turned out to be a great show. So I think
<v Speaker 1>the concept could work as a showcase. When it comes
<v Speaker 1>to the fan voting and them picking the winner or
<v Speaker 1>the winners and having a championship of some kind, and
<v Speaker 1>what the competition actually looks like. Is it tournament style?
<v Speaker 1>Is it just a series of random matches? Do the
<v Speaker 1>fans vote on who gets to be in the matt
<v Speaker 1>This is where I'm a little confused about how all
<v Speaker 1>of this is going to work, So they have to
<v Speaker 1>flesh this out first before I can make a full
<v Speaker 1>judgment on how I really feel about it. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't hate the idea. That's fine. I mean, if they're
<v Speaker 1>looking for something unique to do for one night, as
<v Speaker 1>long as it doesn't take away from what they're doing,
<v Speaker 1>you know, with the main roster stuff, then that's fine.
<v Speaker 1>And you could tell that this was a John I mean, like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm listening to John Cena pitching this idea and he
<v Speaker 1>keeps saying, like, you know, hopefully this will be an
<v Speaker 1>every year thing, and I really hope it works. Like
<v Speaker 1>you could tell the this is something he came up with.
<v Speaker 1>I don't believe that this is something that was brought
<v Speaker 1>to him and they said, hey, can you put your
<v Speaker 1>stamp on this, We'll put your name on it. This
<v Speaker 1>is something that he wanted to do. I think he
<v Speaker 1>wants to still be involved in some way. We hear
<v Speaker 1>stories about him showing up at the performance Center and
<v Speaker 1>giving advice to people. He showed up at the Dungeon,
<v Speaker 1>you know where Natty and TJ are training people. He
<v Speaker 1>showed up I think at Bailey's first the Lodestone seminar,
<v Speaker 1>the all women's seminar that she did. So I believe
<v Speaker 1>that he genuinely cares about that sort of thing it
<v Speaker 1>wants to be involved in some way. And maybe the
<v Speaker 1>company went to him and they said, well, look, if
<v Speaker 1>you have an idea for what you want to do,
<v Speaker 1>come up with an idea, come back to us and
<v Speaker 1>we'll talk about it. Not unlike what AJ Styles did?
<v Speaker 1>You know? AJ Styles retired and AJ Styles was like, well,
<v Speaker 1>what do I want to do now? I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to just necessarily be a coach at the performance center.
<v Speaker 1>He came up with this idea of like what his
<v Speaker 1>role in WWE should be. He wants to be the
<v Speaker 1>guy who goes out there and basically helps. His role
<v Speaker 1>is kind of multifaceted. He wants to help like recruit
<v Speaker 1>talent from the indies, but also like he wants to
<v Speaker 1>go around backstage and just check in with people and
<v Speaker 1>see how they're doing, almost like a guidance counselor like
<v Speaker 1>a mental health counselor how you doing, how you feeling?
<v Speaker 1>Is everything going okay. They're coming up with this stuff
<v Speaker 1>on the fly because these guys are retiring, but they
<v Speaker 1>still want to have one foot in right, one foot out,
<v Speaker 1>one foot in, But what does that look like like?
<v Speaker 1>What role is that? There's no current position that exists
<v Speaker 1>for what aj Styles is doing. They've kind of created this,
<v Speaker 1>this niche role for him. And the sense I get
<v Speaker 1>is that it may be a similar situation with John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>where it's like, Okay, you've earned the right to try
<v Speaker 1>to come up with, you know, an idea that you
<v Speaker 1>think you might want to go with and come to
<v Speaker 1>us and we'll see if we can make it work.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that this is the product of that,
<v Speaker 1>and so it may be imperfect, but for them, it's
<v Speaker 1>a way to keep John Seena in the fold. And
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure TKO and wwe would love to keep John
<v Speaker 1>Seena in the fold. And if this is what he
<v Speaker 1>wants to do, then fuck it. We'll give him a
<v Speaker 1>one night event and we'll make him happy. And that's
<v Speaker 1>what I think is going on here. But nothing he
<v Speaker 1>was going to announce tonight was ever going to be
<v Speaker 1>able to live up to the to the hype around
<v Speaker 1>it over the past week. But again, it's admirable that
<v Speaker 1>he wants to help shine a spotlight on the stars
<v Speaker 1>of tomorrow can't hate on that. I do think there
<v Speaker 1>is a very big issue though in ww and I
<v Speaker 1>talked about this last night on the Smack Demery. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of issues in WWE, but one of
<v Speaker 1>the issues I have, and I've seen it with Ricky
<v Speaker 1>Saints over the last couple of weeks. It's great that
<v Speaker 1>they can call people up. Night one, they're in there
<v Speaker 1>with Cody Rhodes, Night one, Boom, they're in there with
<v Speaker 1>Live Morgan, right putting a big spotlight on them. Obafemi,
<v Speaker 1>my god. He debuted and he accepts the open challenge
<v Speaker 1>for WrestleMania with brock Lesner. That's great. What we need
<v Speaker 1>to see more of, though, is actual character development, character
<v Speaker 1>development vignettes on television over the course of many, many
<v Speaker 1>weeks as you prepare to debut somebody new, so that
<v Speaker 1>when they arrive, people not just a few people who
<v Speaker 1>watch NXT, but a lot of people will be more
<v Speaker 1>familiar with them, and hopefully that will help in terms
<v Speaker 1>of like when they debut, the reactions they get, whether
<v Speaker 1>they get booed, cheered, whatever it may be. Instead of
<v Speaker 1>some of these people debuting to crickets and it just
<v Speaker 1>feels like man they're not over what's wrong here? Well,
<v Speaker 1>because you haven't taken the time to educate people about
<v Speaker 1>this person, like who are they, what's their persona, what's
<v Speaker 1>their character? They're not doing enough of it. They're doing
<v Speaker 1>it with some people, but they're not doing it with enough.
<v Speaker 1>My fear is that by doing more of this type
<v Speaker 1>of stuff, you're gonna have an event like this and
<v Speaker 1>you're just gonna throw a bunch of people in there
<v Speaker 1>and they'll have some cool matches and some of them
<v Speaker 1>will get over and some of them won't, and some
<v Speaker 1>of them then make it called up to the main
<v Speaker 1>roster and then you kind of throw them in there
<v Speaker 1>and it's like now what. I just hope they take
<v Speaker 1>the time to really do a better job of just
<v Speaker 1>developing these characters on television on Raw or SmackDown, not
<v Speaker 1>NXT before they show up, because I do think there's
<v Speaker 1>a distinctly different audience between the two. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>used to watch NXT every single week. I pay attention
<v Speaker 1>only to very limited things now that appeal to me.
<v Speaker 1>When it comes to that show. I don't watch NXT
<v Speaker 1>week two week. If there's somebody who stands out to me,
<v Speaker 1>I'll pay attention to what they're doing. But I think
<v Speaker 1>you have a lot of people out there who are
<v Speaker 1>fans of Wwe call them casual, I mean, call them
<v Speaker 1>whatever you want, who aren't watching n XT week to week,
<v Speaker 1>and they genuinely don't know who Ricky Saints is, They
<v Speaker 1>don't know who Ethan Page is. They can look at
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi and they don't really need to know too much
<v Speaker 1>about him, because God, this guy's fucking awesome. Look how
<v Speaker 1>cool this guy looks soul Ruka, I don't know. She's
<v Speaker 1>got kind of that Lda Jeff Hardy vibe going on.
<v Speaker 1>She was over from day one, right, But it doesn't
<v Speaker 1>work that way for everybody. So I just hope that
<v Speaker 1>this is not going to make that problem worse by
<v Speaker 1>just throwing a bunch of people into the deep end
<v Speaker 1>of the pool before they're ready and the audience is
<v Speaker 1>just like eh, all right, and then certain people end
<v Speaker 1>up not getting over because of it. Anyway, let's talk
<v Speaker 1>about this show here. This is your Backlash twenty twenty
<v Speaker 1>six review. I am the Solemn Monster. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>hanging out with me here on a Saturday night. We're
<v Speaker 1>going to talk about this show from top to bottom
<v Speaker 1>and then get your feedback super chatter open, so get
<v Speaker 1>the money in if you want to support the channel,
<v Speaker 1>and also if you want to just chime in with
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts on backlash. What did you think of the
<v Speaker 1>John Cena News? Are you a fan of it? Are
<v Speaker 1>you not a fan of it? How would you like
<v Speaker 1>to see it play out? There's a message on screen
<v Speaker 1>right there in fact dry Chicken, thank you. Hit that
<v Speaker 1>subscribe button and hit that like button as well, because
<v Speaker 1>we're about to spin the wheel and find out how
<v Speaker 1>many likes we need to do our be the Booker
<v Speaker 1>segment here for Backlash, be the Booker Backlash edition to
<v Speaker 1>find out five point fifteen is the goal for tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and we are at four seventeen. I'm feeling pretty good
<v Speaker 1>about that. Oh there's Armed Anderson now, I'm feeling pretty
<v Speaker 1>good about that. Five point fifteen. We're not too far off,
<v Speaker 1>only about one hundred away. Soul also has a viral
<v Speaker 1>worthy mood. Yeah, Unfortunately there was no Kyrie tonight. This
<v Speaker 1>is the only place you're ever going to hear that.
<v Speaker 1>Now you do realize that we'll never hear it again
<v Speaker 1>on WWE television, But everything that I'm talking about tonight
<v Speaker 1>you know where it happened. It happened at Backlash. I
<v Speaker 1>always love that Triple H video. Get a close up
<v Speaker 1>of his face with that weird ass beard of his
<v Speaker 1>er Backlash. At Backlash, they tried to recreate it. They
<v Speaker 1>had some some of the current stars doing it. I
<v Speaker 1>saw Dan Housen doing it the other day. Why should she?
<v Speaker 1>She got released? Hey, I'm telling you man. If wwe
<v Speaker 1>went to Kyrie and said, hey, we'd love to have
<v Speaker 1>you in because we really would love for you to
<v Speaker 1>make it appear into Backlash. If I'm her, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>unless they're offering me a really good payday for it,
<v Speaker 1>I'm telling them to fuck. I'm not even answering the phone.
<v Speaker 1>I'm letting it go to voicemail. That's what I'm doing.
<v Speaker 1>So if she, if she turned them down, good for her,
<v Speaker 1>all right. The first hour of this show aired live
<v Speaker 1>or simulcasted live on ESPN two. We had seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>against bron Breaker, which would have at one point been
<v Speaker 1>the WrestleMania match. They wanted to keep Breaker out a
<v Speaker 1>little bit longer, though, and do the match on this
<v Speaker 1>show instead out I have to say this, outside of
<v Speaker 1>the ri odd season logos, that they had on the
<v Speaker 1>mat in each of the four corners. I was digging
<v Speaker 1>the cleaner look for tonight's show, and especially compared to WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it was just total sensory overload. But if
<v Speaker 1>you'll notice you're watching this show, outside of those four
<v Speaker 1>logos on the mat in the corner, you had the
<v Speaker 1>giant WWE logo in the center of the ring, you
<v Speaker 1>had WWE logos on all the urn buckles. Right, they
<v Speaker 1>didn't even have ads on the urn buckles. They actually
<v Speaker 1>were able to hold back on all the advertising tonight
<v Speaker 1>on the ring and around the ring. It was kind
<v Speaker 1>of nice put more of the focus on what was
<v Speaker 1>going on inside the ring. So Breaker charged in for
<v Speaker 1>a spear right out of the gate. Rollins, though leap
<v Speaker 1>frogged him. There was a spot midway through this where
<v Speaker 1>Breaker went outside. He did the slow stalking charge towards
<v Speaker 1>Rolins like he was about to build up speed. He
<v Speaker 1>was going to go for a spear, but Rollins cut
<v Speaker 1>him off with a superkick. Then inside, Rollins had him
<v Speaker 1>set up for a stomp, but instead he ended up
<v Speaker 1>delivering a running knee strike to the face. The Breaker
<v Speaker 1>was he was kind of had his head tilted down.
<v Speaker 1>So what I'm thinking here is that he was supposed
<v Speaker 1>to go for a stomp and they just fucked up
<v Speaker 1>the spot. And I don't know Breaker was at a
<v Speaker 1>position or whatever it was, and so I don't think
<v Speaker 1>this went off quite the way that they had intended
<v Speaker 1>it to, So Rollins may have had to call an
<v Speaker 1>audible there. There were actually a few moments in this
<v Speaker 1>match like that that looked off or were a little rough,
<v Speaker 1>like this spot Rollins came off the ropes now he
<v Speaker 1>attempted to do. I'll call it me personally, because he's
<v Speaker 1>the only guy who I really see doing this on
<v Speaker 1>a regular basis, and it's always very impressive when he does.
<v Speaker 1>I call it the will Osprey spot where Rollins came
<v Speaker 1>off the ropes and Breaker had his arm out like
<v Speaker 1>in a close line position, and I'm gonna every week
<v Speaker 1>just to piss you off. Wasn't the Big Dave, you
<v Speaker 1>know Big Dave? If he was to watch between the
<v Speaker 1>ending of SmackDown last night and what we had with
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen tonight, I can hear Batista's voice in my
<v Speaker 1>head from that promo he cut in the Hollywood Dave
<v Speaker 1>phase where It's like, what has happened to this business?
<v Speaker 1>What has happened to this business that I love? I
<v Speaker 1>don't recognize it anymore. So Breaker had his arm out
<v Speaker 1>in position like he was going to go for a
<v Speaker 1>clothes line, and the idea the year was that Rollins
<v Speaker 1>was going to as he was coming in kind of
<v Speaker 1>flip over onto his feet. I'm guessing into a position
<v Speaker 1>to hit a pedigree right, maybe double underhook. And when
<v Speaker 1>we see Osprey doing it usually it's into like a
<v Speaker 1>tiger driver or a set out power bomb. It's a
<v Speaker 1>cool spot. Rollins tried to do it here and he
<v Speaker 1>fucked it up. It didn't work. So he was trying
<v Speaker 1>to get that rotation and he couldn't get it, and
<v Speaker 1>it was kind of in slow motion. He landed on
<v Speaker 1>his head. It sounds worse than it was. He didn't
<v Speaker 1>really get spiked on his head. There was a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of a delay. He kind of gently came down
<v Speaker 1>on his head. Then he immediately grabbed his head like
<v Speaker 1>he was selling like he was hurt. I'm sure his
<v Speaker 1>ego was more hurt than anything else. I'm sure he's
<v Speaker 1>probably a perfectionist. And so instead Breaker did a standing
<v Speaker 1>moon salt, and they just moved on, because that's all
<v Speaker 1>you can do, You just move on in a situation
<v Speaker 1>like that. There was a spot where Rollins he ran
<v Speaker 1>the corner to bring Breaker down from the top with
<v Speaker 1>a superplex. Now, usually Rollins will do that into a
<v Speaker 1>falcon arrow. In this case, it was bron Breaker who
<v Speaker 1>hit the falcon arrow, and the fans popped big for
<v Speaker 1>that spot and it looked cool. But I'm also watching
<v Speaker 1>this going. You pulled this man off the top rope
<v Speaker 1>for a superplex, which he proceeded to totally no sell, which
<v Speaker 1>had no effect on him whatsoever. So he just popped
<v Speaker 1>right up into a falcon arrow like okay, now we're
<v Speaker 1>just no selling superplexes. So it looks cool. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it's not the first time I've seen that spot done
<v Speaker 1>in a Seth Rollins match, but I still think it's
<v Speaker 1>very dumb. So a Breaker pulled Rollins down from the
<v Speaker 1>top a short time later with his Brakensteiner. He calls
<v Speaker 1>it and then he went for another one in the
<v Speaker 1>opposite corner, but this time Rollin's kind of sort of
<v Speaker 1>but not really landed on his feet. He dropped Breaker
<v Speaker 1>with a pedigree, but again not really. You know, he
<v Speaker 1>let go of the arms halfway through, so it really
<v Speaker 1>I mean, honestly, it's like he gave up on the
<v Speaker 1>move midway through, kind of the way Triple H was
<v Speaker 1>doing it in the last like five years of his career,
<v Speaker 1>and the guy just kind of falls down on his
<v Speaker 1>own face first. I don't I'm trying to think the
<v Speaker 1>last time I saw a real decent looking pedigree, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, it's been a while. I don't think I've
<v Speaker 1>seen a good pedigree in years. I kind of wish
<v Speaker 1>people would stop doing the move altogether. If you're not
<v Speaker 1>going to hit the pedigree the way the Triple H
<v Speaker 1>used to do it many years ago, you know people
<v Speaker 1>are afraid to take it or it's not safe, then
<v Speaker 1>just don't do the move. Am I the only one
<v Speaker 1>who thinks that move looks like shit these days? So
<v Speaker 1>down goes breaker face first. Rollins then hint the stomp,
<v Speaker 1>and at this point, Paul Hayman recognizes that we got
<v Speaker 1>a situation here, so he gets up on the apron.
<v Speaker 1>He starts shouting at Rollin's trying to get his attention.
<v Speaker 1>He's trying to, you know, distract him. Rollins goes outside
<v Speaker 1>the ring because he could sense that something's about to
<v Speaker 1>go down. He goes outside the ring and he pulls
<v Speaker 1>a chair out from underneath. It's like he knew. And
<v Speaker 1>at that moment, Austin Theory shows up, and Logan Paul
<v Speaker 1>shows up, and so Theory got hit with the chair,
<v Speaker 1>as did Logan. Paul stomp to Theory on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>Now Logan is is, he's on his butt, he's begging off,
<v Speaker 1>and Rollin's chased him. Probably halfway down the aisle. Rollins realizes, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I got a match going on here. I got to
<v Speaker 1>get back to the ring, and so he sprints back
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring and as soon as he gets
<v Speaker 1>into the ring, Breaker cuts him down with a short spear.
<v Speaker 1>He covers him, Seth kicks out though before three. So
<v Speaker 1>Breaker hits the ropes a few times back and forth.
<v Speaker 1>He comes off for a spear, but as he dove in,
<v Speaker 1>Rollin's jumped up, and funny enough to the point that
<v Speaker 1>I just made he jumped up into the air just
<v Speaker 1>as Breaker dove in, and so he caught him effectively
<v Speaker 1>in a pedigree, which is very different than a traditional pedigree. Right,
<v Speaker 1>so you know I'll allow it. This looked cool, so
<v Speaker 1>down goes Breaker in this pedigree here. Rollins then headed
<v Speaker 1>up top. He came off the top rope for what.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know what the idea was here.
<v Speaker 1>If he was going for a stomp it shirt didn't
<v Speaker 1>look like it. But he comes diving off the top
<v Speaker 1>rope and out of mid air. He gets speared by Breaker,
<v Speaker 1>and finally Breaker hits the ropes a few times. Chris
<v Speaker 1>crosses back and forth, cuts Rollins down with one final
<v Speaker 1>spear and pins him to notch. What the announcer said
<v Speaker 1>was the biggest win of bron Breaker's career, which is
<v Speaker 1>probably true. He hasn't won any world championships yet on
<v Speaker 1>the main rosters. Wrestled some big names. He's been in
<v Speaker 1>the ring with Cmpunk and people like that on occasion,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't believe he's beaten any of them, So sure,
<v Speaker 1>this was the biggest win of his career to date.
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was a good match. It was not
<v Speaker 1>without a few bumps in the road along the way.
<v Speaker 1>The crowd was hot for it. I mean, as far
<v Speaker 1>as an opening match goes, the crowd was perfect. This
<v Speaker 1>is the kind of crowd you would want for your opener,
<v Speaker 1>and it was a long match too. I mean they
<v Speaker 1>got just over twenty minutes. This had to be the
<v Speaker 1>longest match on the entire show. I said earlier, like
<v Speaker 1>the Oscar Eo match got maybe thirty seconds more than
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Jacob did, and they both got between eighteen
<v Speaker 1>and nineteen minutes. So they gave these guys like twenty
<v Speaker 1>one minutes in the opener, so they had plenty of
<v Speaker 1>time to do their thing. By the way, this was
<v Speaker 1>also longer than most of the matches on either night
<v Speaker 1>of WrestleMania this year. Now, I know it's a pl
<v Speaker 1>you would expect that there wouldn't be commercial interruptions during
<v Speaker 1>the matches the way you see un SmackDown and Raw,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm so conditioned lately with this WWE product and
<v Speaker 1>just the way things are that when it was over,
<v Speaker 1>I was like, oh, we had no interruptions during this
<v Speaker 1>match because it aired on ESPN, so you never know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't believe they interrupted anything on the
<v Speaker 1>ESPN hours for WrestleMania, but I was kind of waiting
<v Speaker 1>for it, Like the longer this match went, I'm like, oh, sure,
<v Speaker 1>surely they're going to take a break in here. Somewhere,
<v Speaker 1>but they didn't, so you know, that was nice, and
<v Speaker 1>I mean, boy, the bar the bar is very low
<v Speaker 1>with these WWE shows now when it comes to this
<v Speaker 1>where it's like I'm praising it for not having a commercial,
<v Speaker 1>I'm praising them for not having a commercial in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of a fucking pl match. This is where we
<v Speaker 1>are now. Most importantly, it was the right outcome. Bron
<v Speaker 1>Breaker needed this win more than Seth Rollins. I understand
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rollins came back at WrestleMania and he lost to Gunther. Well,
<v Speaker 1>this was bron Breaker's first match in a few months,
<v Speaker 1>and it's still Rollins is a made guy in this company.
<v Speaker 1>Rollins loses nothing by losing this match, but I think
<v Speaker 1>you want to get break or re established in a
<v Speaker 1>major way. To do that, he has to win. So
<v Speaker 1>it's exactly what you know, I would have hoped they
<v Speaker 1>would do, would be to give him the win. I
<v Speaker 1>thought that was the right outcome, but they did it
<v Speaker 1>in a way where you know, the Vision tried to
<v Speaker 1>get involved and it kind of gives Rollinson out, But
<v Speaker 1>the interference it wasn't over like overbearing or overwhelming in
<v Speaker 1>the way that it is with the Judgment Day where
<v Speaker 1>it's just constant. You know, you could have fucking Dom
<v Speaker 1>interfering three or four times in one match, and that's
<v Speaker 1>to say nothing of Live or Raquel or Roxanne or
<v Speaker 1>JD or anybody else. So it was fine. It was fine.
<v Speaker 1>They didn't overdo it on the vision stuff. Second match
<v Speaker 1>of the ooh there's Vince say hello. Everybody just saw
<v Speaker 1>that super chap pop up, very creepy. Second match of
<v Speaker 1>the ESPN Hour had Trick Williams defending his United States
<v Speaker 1>Championship against Sammy's ad. I said my piece pieces on
<v Speaker 1>the gingerbread stuff last night. I thought it was ridiculous
<v Speaker 1>that this was the focal point of the entire three
<v Speaker 1>hour show. I thought it was just embarrassing and the
<v Speaker 1>less set about it the better. But it all led
<v Speaker 1>to this, It all led to where we are here tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and I came into this thinking, you know, if you
<v Speaker 1>want to keep this going, because this thing feels like
<v Speaker 1>it still has some legs to it, they really should
<v Speaker 1>put the belt back on Sammy. I wouldn't have taken
<v Speaker 1>the belt off him in the first place a WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>I would have kept it on him a little bit
<v Speaker 1>longer had Trick, you know, kind of scratch and claw
<v Speaker 1>a little bit more to really just put this guy
<v Speaker 1>in the dirt once in and then win the championship
<v Speaker 1>and then be done with Sammy and move on. They
<v Speaker 1>had other ideas here on the show. Right now, it's
<v Speaker 1>just all about establishing the new faces. That's the most
<v Speaker 1>important thing, and it is important, it is important here.
<v Speaker 1>But I just thought there was more runway for these two,
<v Speaker 1>and after what they did here tonight, there is no runway.
<v Speaker 1>That's it. It's over. If they try to continue this,
<v Speaker 1>I see no point in doing so. Zaan went to
<v Speaker 1>go use the steel steps early on, but Lil Yati,
<v Speaker 1>who was out there with Trick, he got in the
<v Speaker 1>way and that prevented him from doing so. We got
<v Speaker 1>a blue thunderbomb and hear from Sammy for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Then he faked a knee injury after a springboard off
<v Speaker 1>the ropes, and when Trick came in after him, Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>of course, playing possum, rolled him up for the near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Yachty climbed up on the apron to argue with the referee.
<v Speaker 1>At one point, Sammy grabs the kendo stick that Yachty
<v Speaker 1>had brought to the ring with him the gingerbread kendo
<v Speaker 1>stick or candy cane kendo stick, whatever it was. So
<v Speaker 1>he grabs this thing and he hits Trick with it
<v Speaker 1>and Sammy covers him. Only got a two count out
<v Speaker 1>of it. So Sammy goes to the corner and he's
<v Speaker 1>gearing up for the halluva kick. Referee goes over to
<v Speaker 1>check on Trick Williams and as this is going on,
<v Speaker 1>Yady takes possession of the kendo stick and gets on
<v Speaker 1>the apron and kind of whacks Sammy across the back
<v Speaker 1>with it. Trick then drops Sammy with a spin kick.
<v Speaker 1>He covers him, got a good near fall out of it.
<v Speaker 1>The two of them end up on the floor outside
<v Speaker 1>and Sammy drops Yah. He goes over to where Yachty
<v Speaker 1>is and he just fucking drops him with a punch
<v Speaker 1>and he starts just working him over with the kendo stick.
<v Speaker 1>Trick goes over to Sammy and he the steel steps
<v Speaker 1>for there, and the bottom half was exposed, the flat
<v Speaker 1>part of the steps, so Trick was setting up for
<v Speaker 1>a yuragi on the steps. He was going to plant
<v Speaker 1>Sammy onto them. Instead, Sammy fought out of it and
<v Speaker 1>he gave him a ddt onto the steps instead. So
<v Speaker 1>he puts Trick back in the ring and he was
<v Speaker 1>about to follow him in, but he looks over and
<v Speaker 1>he sees a little Yachti and he's back up on
<v Speaker 1>his feet and he's standing in. I know, he's like
<v Speaker 1>interacting with people in the front row. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what he's doing. He just got his ass kick. He's
<v Speaker 1>already back up on his feet. So Sammy sees this
<v Speaker 1>and he charges in and he delivers a halluva kick
<v Speaker 1>from behind. So a halluba kick to the back of
<v Speaker 1>Yachti's head. And the way he sold this was was
<v Speaker 1>kind of comical, the way he kind of flopped onto
<v Speaker 1>the floor right. But Sammy wiped him out with his finish,
<v Speaker 1>and you would think that's the end of YACHTI. Yachty
<v Speaker 1>should be carried out of here. Okay, this man just
<v Speaker 1>gave him a halluva kick. Sammy goes back to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>He tried for the kick on Trick, Trick, avoided it,
<v Speaker 1>ran the ropes, dropped him with the trick shot knee
<v Speaker 1>and pinned him. That's it. One, two three. He pins
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's aying to retain the United States Championship and when
<v Speaker 1>the match is over, Lil Yachti gets back in the
<v Speaker 1>ring to celebrate with Trick Williams. Thereby no selling. Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>finished that he was just dropped with about forty five
<v Speaker 1>seconds prior. So he gets in the ring and he
<v Speaker 1>starts making it. He's making it rain, right. You see
<v Speaker 1>the dollar bills are flying and Trick is posing on
<v Speaker 1>the ropes with the belt, and Yachty's just going like
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, okay, that's a cool visual, right, but
<v Speaker 1>they zoom in it's all one dollar bills. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking at this going, man, maybe there's some twenties
<v Speaker 1>and fifties in there, maybe some hundreds. Nope. Yeah, it's funny.
<v Speaker 1>Back in the day when the million dollar man would
<v Speaker 1>come out, he would come out, he'd have hundreds, right,
<v Speaker 1>he would be getting he would call fans out, Look,
<v Speaker 1>if you could bounce this basketball ten times, I'll give
<v Speaker 1>you five hundred dollars, right, And he's flashing the money
<v Speaker 1>and everything. Remember fucking Tiger Ali sing and Babboo I
<v Speaker 1>think was his assistant, and they had fans coming into
<v Speaker 1>the ring and if you lick bab booze ToeJam on
<v Speaker 1>his feet. We'll give you a fucking five hundred. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this is the kind of sick shit they were doing
<v Speaker 1>back then. But see this is the tko aera now.
<v Speaker 1>So they went to Yadi and go, look all we
<v Speaker 1>have for you. We have one dollar bills. We're not
<v Speaker 1>giving out hundreds here. That's not how it works here
<v Speaker 1>in the TKO era. Back then, man, he'd have all
<v Speaker 1>those CE notes in his hand. Yeah, RV D RVD. Legitimately,
<v Speaker 1>he kissed Debiyassi's foot. He was a fan that got
<v Speaker 1>called out of the crowd at a live event, and
<v Speaker 1>he got down on his hands and knees and he
<v Speaker 1>kissed the feet because he wanted the money. You had
<v Speaker 1>two dollars bill. I have a two dollar bill, official
<v Speaker 1>legal tender. I still have a two dollar bill somewhere.
<v Speaker 1>Don't remember where I got it from, but I still
<v Speaker 1>have it. I don't know if you could find those anymore.
<v Speaker 1>I thought the match itself, it was a solid enough match,
<v Speaker 1>a little bit better actually than their wrestle Menia match.
<v Speaker 1>A little bit longer too. I think this was about
<v Speaker 1>five minutes four or five minutes longer maybe than their
<v Speaker 1>wrestle Menia match. I enjoyed this more than I did
<v Speaker 1>that one. Lil Yahi, though he was involved enough in
<v Speaker 1>this match to where he was getting more of the
<v Speaker 1>spotlight than either of the two men in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>They may as well have made this a triple threat match,
<v Speaker 1>that's how much he was involved. I'm not really sure
<v Speaker 1>what the point of all the gingerbread stuff was. I
<v Speaker 1>gotta be honest with you, the way the gingerbread garbage
<v Speaker 1>ended last night, I thought, for sure, Okay, maybe they
<v Speaker 1>really are going to put this belt back on Sammy
<v Speaker 1>here and keep this going a little bit, because it's
<v Speaker 1>been all tricks so far, so if you wanted to
<v Speaker 1>continue it, you had to give Sammy something. But clearly
<v Speaker 1>they have no intent of continuing this. And if the
<v Speaker 1>idea is that they're not done yet and they're going
<v Speaker 1>to get another match out of it, I have no
<v Speaker 1>fucking idea what the point of this was. This felt
<v Speaker 1>to me like we're blowing this shit off and we're
<v Speaker 1>moving on, and hey, okay, great, you want to move on.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe we get Trick and Carmelo Hayes. Last time we
<v Speaker 1>saw Carmelo Hayes, he was literally in the trainer's room
<v Speaker 1>talking to Trick Williams saying I'm coming after you next,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm coming after that belt. So maybe that's what
<v Speaker 1>we'll get next. Maybe we'll get Trick and Mellow. I
<v Speaker 1>still feel like, or feel I still felt like there
<v Speaker 1>was more to do with these two, but I don't
<v Speaker 1>see how you continue it after this. This felt like
<v Speaker 1>the period at the end of the sentence to me,
<v Speaker 1>he's been beaten twice. The goal here seems to have
<v Speaker 1>been we have to just make clear to the fans
<v Speaker 1>that what happened to WrestleMania was not a fluke. Trick
<v Speaker 1>is the real deal, and he just beat this man
<v Speaker 1>twice back to back three weeks. Okay, cool. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what that means for Sammy. I have no idea
<v Speaker 1>where Sammy's aing goes now, But as far as Trick,
<v Speaker 1>he's going to move on now. Whether it's Carmelo Hayes
<v Speaker 1>or somebody else, it looks like he's moving on to
<v Speaker 1>the next. So at that point they signed off of
<v Speaker 1>ESPN two. Will Money in the Bank happen this year? Tomas,
<v Speaker 1>You got to pay attention, brother. Money in the Bank
<v Speaker 1>is on September sixth, Labor Day weekend, end of the summer.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be the latest money in the bank has
<v Speaker 1>ever been held. So the ESPN two portion of things
<v Speaker 1>was over and I was watching this on Netflix. So
<v Speaker 1>before we got to the next match, we had more
<v Speaker 1>clips of the Hulk Hogan documentary, got a little bit
<v Speaker 1>of that, and then we got a three minute or
<v Speaker 1>maybe three and a half minute we'll be right back
<v Speaker 1>countdown screen heading into the remaining three matches on this show.
<v Speaker 1>We only had three matches left. This felt like an
<v Speaker 1>in your house is what this felt like. Up next
<v Speaker 1>was Dan Housen and his mystery partner against the Miz
<v Speaker 1>and Kit Wilson. This got a long video package. Now,
<v Speaker 1>remember what I talked about during WrestleMania. I said, the
<v Speaker 1>only matches that got any video packages here were the
<v Speaker 1>two main events. We had all this dead time on
<v Speaker 1>these shows, and I'm like, nothing else got a video package.
<v Speaker 1>But of course it's not dead time to TKO. That's
<v Speaker 1>commercial airtime, and that's much more important to them. So
<v Speaker 1>it's funny to me that they kicked off the ESPN
<v Speaker 1>app portion of the show and we got this like
<v Speaker 1>extended video package. It's so important to recap the events
<v Speaker 1>that have led us to Dan Housen against the MIZZ
<v Speaker 1>and Kit Wilson. This is what they gave I come
<v Speaker 1>to think of it, I don't think any of the
<v Speaker 1>other matches on this show got a video. Oh, actually
<v Speaker 1>the main event did, but I was just I was
<v Speaker 1>floored by this. I was like, they're going chapter and
<v Speaker 1>verse through every single aspect of this feud, like we
<v Speaker 1>need to make sure that all of you watching this
<v Speaker 1>know everything that's happened up until this point. And so
<v Speaker 1>Miss and Kit Wilson were out first, then the video,
<v Speaker 1>and then it was time for Dan Housen to come out.
<v Speaker 1>And he came out in his dan Housen Mobile. Whatever
<v Speaker 1>the fuck they're called. What does it have a name?
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know. We'll call it the dan Housen Mobile.
<v Speaker 1>He drives out and he gets out of the car
<v Speaker 1>and on stage is the giant box we saw it
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown last night. It's the machine that he was
<v Speaker 1>going to use to clone himself because in the backstage
<v Speaker 1>segment on SmackDown, Kit Wilson said that nobody wants the
<v Speaker 1>team with you, and he held his mirror up and
<v Speaker 1>he said, this is the only person that would ever
<v Speaker 1>team with you. And it gave Dan Housen this idea like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>he's gonna clone himself, right, So he opened the deprized
<v Speaker 1>the door open and we're going to find out who
<v Speaker 1>his tag team partner is. And out pops a Mexican
<v Speaker 1>mini who was actually played by Mascarita Segrata. If you
<v Speaker 1>don't know who Mascarita Segrata is, maybe you'll remember El
<v Speaker 1>Torrito from WWE many years ago, with him and the
<v Speaker 1>Mattadors part of one of the greatest segments in the
<v Speaker 1>last twenty years of Monday Night Raw when Bo Dallas
<v Speaker 1>was doing his run. Remember he had his arms up
<v Speaker 1>in the air and he's doing his run around the
<v Speaker 1>ring and didn't realize that El Tourito was outside, and
<v Speaker 1>El Tourito didn't see him coming because his back was
<v Speaker 1>turned that he got bumped by Bo's ample posterior and
<v Speaker 1>got he got bumped to the side. I laughed way
<v Speaker 1>harder than I should have. That's like my one loan me. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>that's not true, that's not true. That's one of my
<v Speaker 1>two memories of El Turito from back in the day.
<v Speaker 1>The other one had to be welc right, because it
<v Speaker 1>was I'm pretty sure it was him against Hornswoggle and
<v Speaker 1>welc Yes, okay, So anyway, he was the one. He's
<v Speaker 1>like forty he's like forty four. Now it's crazy. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>he was the Mexican mini. He was Mini Housen because
<v Speaker 1>he was out there and he had the makeup and
<v Speaker 1>everything done just like Dan Housen. So they both got
<v Speaker 1>in the Dan Housen mobile and they wrote around ringside.
<v Speaker 1>Mes of course, is laughing at this. Kit Wilson is
<v Speaker 1>laughing at this. I'm just looking at this, trying to
<v Speaker 1>figure out, like, again, what am I doing with my life? Now?
<v Speaker 1>Two days in a row we go from the funeral
<v Speaker 1>of the gingerbread Man to Minni Housen. It hasn't even
<v Speaker 1>been twenty four hours yet. It's like I'm living in
<v Speaker 1>a fever dream. Now. You could hear booze from the crew.
<v Speaker 1>Was it like overwhelming, like booze raining down upon these men?
<v Speaker 1>But there were booze there once the music stopped and
<v Speaker 1>the match was about to begin, Because of course you
<v Speaker 1>have people in the crowd who were, like you were
<v Speaker 1>building up the mystery of this for the last couple
<v Speaker 1>of weeks, and it's a pl e and so of course,
<v Speaker 1>people's their minds are going to start racing as to like, Okay, well,
<v Speaker 1>who could this be? Is it going to be somebody
<v Speaker 1>new that's debuting, Is it going to be a big name?
<v Speaker 1>Is it going to be again? I thought the one
<v Speaker 1>that would have made sense was Royce Keys because he's
<v Speaker 1>new to SmackDown and again he's an ass kicker. He
<v Speaker 1>can go out there and for one night right beat
<v Speaker 1>the fuck out of the Mizzen Kit. Wilson gets him
<v Speaker 1>a spot on the show. Why not Jelly Roll was
<v Speaker 1>the one who I thought it would end up being
<v Speaker 1>because of all the reasons I mentioned earlier, I for one,
<v Speaker 1>am happy that it wasn't Jelly Roll, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>have anything against jelly Roll. You know, his involvement largely
<v Speaker 1>in these shows hasn't really been terror. It hasn't been
<v Speaker 1>it hasn't been too terrible, So I don't have anything
<v Speaker 1>against him being involved at different points in time. But
<v Speaker 1>the idea of him coming out and being the mystery
<v Speaker 1>partner was fucking dumb. I didn't want to see jelly
<v Speaker 1>Roll in this. I don't know who I wanted to
<v Speaker 1>see in this. I really didn't want to see this
<v Speaker 1>at all. If it were up to me, it wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>have been on the fucking show. But for the people
<v Speaker 1>who thought it was going to be CM Punker, it
<v Speaker 1>was going to be some kind of big name, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why. Why would you let yourself Why would
<v Speaker 1>you allow yourself to believe that it was going to
<v Speaker 1>be a big name like that. It was never going
<v Speaker 1>to be. And it also it's WWE, so you should
<v Speaker 1>know by now you have to temper your expectations. It's
<v Speaker 1>like the John Cena announcement. You have to temper your
<v Speaker 1>expectations because they will always let you down. So honestly,
<v Speaker 1>this was pretty much in line with what I would
<v Speaker 1>have expected from WWE. So the match begins and Wilson
<v Speaker 1>he kicks Mini Housen down as Wade Barrett on commentary
<v Speaker 1>is wondering is that a thing or is that a child?
<v Speaker 1>And Michael calls said, well, it's not, it's not a child,
<v Speaker 1>and he goes, well, it better not be, because if
<v Speaker 1>it is, this company's going to be in a hell
<v Speaker 1>of a lot of trouble. I hate to break it
<v Speaker 1>to Wade, It's a good thing that Barrett wasn't around
<v Speaker 1>back in the eighties or else Yeah, that's a whole
<v Speaker 1>other can of worms right there. In fact, there's an
<v Speaker 1>ongoing lawsuit as we speak about some problems this company
<v Speaker 1>ran into with kids back in the eighties, but we'll
<v Speaker 1>leave that alone for now. So Minny Housen ended up
<v Speaker 1>in a tree of woe and he sat up to
<v Speaker 1>avoid a running charge. Dan Housen was in and he
<v Speaker 1>cleaned house here for a little bit. Minnye Housen tagged
<v Speaker 1>himself back in. He knocked the miss out of or
<v Speaker 1>off one of the corners, and there was a top
<v Speaker 1>conrana that sent Kit Wilson outside. There was a suicide dive.
<v Speaker 1>So Minniehausen is chasing Kit Wilson up the aisleway and
<v Speaker 1>he ends up being sent into the cloning box, and
<v Speaker 1>Kit slams the door shut and he's like, finally I'm
<v Speaker 1>rid of this little fool. And he turns around and
<v Speaker 1>he's got this feeling of relief on his face. But
<v Speaker 1>you can see that there's stuff going on there with
<v Speaker 1>the machine. And I'm like, okay, well, now I'm expecting
<v Speaker 1>someone of a normal average height to now emerge from
<v Speaker 1>the box. And now I'm thinking, okay, maybe now it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be somebody from SmackDown. Who's it going to be? Right?
<v Speaker 1>My mind is wondering who's going to pop out of
<v Speaker 1>the box. Silly me. It's a cloning machine. So we
<v Speaker 1>have more mini Housings that come out of the machine.
<v Speaker 1>Now there's a whole army of them. There's like a
<v Speaker 1>whole fleet of them. They multiplied, That's what happened here,
<v Speaker 1>the gremlins. So they come out of the machine, the machine.
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking about it like it's a real fucking thing.
<v Speaker 1>They come out of the box and in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>So now there are attacking Kit Wilson in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>I should also point out that on commentary Michael Cole
<v Speaker 1>was like it works. The box works, thank you, Michael.
<v Speaker 1>So in the ring, the og mini he got kit
<v Speaker 1>Wilson up in position for an airplane spin. He gave
<v Speaker 1>this man an airplane spin into the old Wade Barrett
<v Speaker 1>Wasteland move. And Barrett absolutely lost his shit over this.
<v Speaker 1>He couldn't believe that this little shit stole his move.
<v Speaker 1>He was flipping his wig. On commentary he called him
<v Speaker 1>a dirty little goblin. So Minnie Housen was about to
<v Speaker 1>curse Kit Wilson, who instead held up a mirror, so
<v Speaker 1>it would be as if he was cursing himself, so
<v Speaker 1>he was able to stop the curse. I can't believe
<v Speaker 1>him talking about that, but he's holding up the mirror
<v Speaker 1>to prevent the curse from occurring. And honestly, the best
<v Speaker 1>part of this entire thing, and I'm not going to
<v Speaker 1>sit here and tell you that it made the whole
<v Speaker 1>thing worth it, because it didn't. But the best part
<v Speaker 1>of this entire thing was miss sneaking up from behind
<v Speaker 1>Minniehausen and lifting him up high into the air and
<v Speaker 1>dropping him with the skull crushing finale that I enjoyed,
<v Speaker 1>and he covered him. Dan Housen almost was too late
<v Speaker 1>on the save, but he did manage to break up
<v Speaker 1>the pen attempt, so then dan Housen ends up tagging
<v Speaker 1>into the match. Officially, he gave Miss a FS press.
<v Speaker 1>I hesitate to even call it that it got fucked up.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what happened here. Mis was too close
<v Speaker 1>to him. He just sort of I don't even know,
<v Speaker 1>like I'm sure. First of all, Number one, stone Cold
<v Speaker 1>Steve Austin, I bet I was to say, I would
<v Speaker 1>bet my left nut, I would put both nuts on
<v Speaker 1>the line. That stone cold Steve Austin was not watching this.
<v Speaker 1>I would bet both nuts that stone cold Steve Austin
<v Speaker 1>doesn't even watch the product anymore, because why the fuck
<v Speaker 1>would he. There's not a chance in hell he watches
<v Speaker 1>this product week to week. But if he was by
<v Speaker 1>chance watching this show tonight and he saw this attempted
<v Speaker 1>as press that Dan Housen gave to the biz, he
<v Speaker 1>needed to bust out a couple of IPAs and down
<v Speaker 1>them on the spot because this was hard to watch.
<v Speaker 1>It's very hard to watch. But he tackles miss Miss
<v Speaker 1>though ended up outside the ring, and he reaches underneath
<v Speaker 1>the ring and all the mini Housen's are out there,
<v Speaker 1>and they're standing on the announced desk and everything, and
<v Speaker 1>Mis pulls out a fire extinguisher and he looks at
<v Speaker 1>them and he goes, you are cursed, and he goes
<v Speaker 1>to spray them, but nothing's happening because the Miz has
<v Speaker 1>been cursed. So what happens? The Miz holds the nozzle
<v Speaker 1>up to his face and then magically the white ship
<v Speaker 1>comes out all over his face. Oh what have I
<v Speaker 1>done with my life? Why am I saying the things
<v Speaker 1>that I'm saying? Why What have I done to deserve this?
<v Speaker 1>You know what I mean? The white ship that comes
<v Speaker 1>out of the fire exting. We sure it's all It's
<v Speaker 1>all over the Miss's face. Now he's spraised him. He
<v Speaker 1>spraised himself. I don't leave me alone of coourse some
<v Speaker 1>board this should drink here? Is that? That's what I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna do. We don't need to be talking about mis
<v Speaker 1>like that anyway. So he's been he's been sprayed. He's
<v Speaker 1>been sprayed, and the Mis ends up back in the
<v Speaker 1>ring and Minnie Housen. He wipes out Kit Wilson with
<v Speaker 1>a crossbody dive. Dan Housen hits Mis with a pump kick.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently this is dan Housen's finishing move. It's like his
<v Speaker 1>own broad kick, and he covers Miz and he wins
<v Speaker 1>the match. Michael Cole said that I just got a
<v Speaker 1>text from a friend saying this is wrestling. This is wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>He says, yeah. Wade Barrett disagreed. He sounded disgusted with
<v Speaker 1>all this, and he asked what has happened to the
<v Speaker 1>business that I love? To which I say this to
<v Speaker 1>Wade Barrett, that business is dead. It doesn't exist anymore.
<v Speaker 1>I've asked myself the same question watching many of these
<v Speaker 1>shows over these past few months. That version of WWE,
<v Speaker 1>that version of the business, it's over. It doesn't exist anymore.
<v Speaker 1>It's dead, especially now in the TKO. This is a
<v Speaker 1>new era. This is a new business. I'm not sure what, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>this is supposed to be, but I'm sure it's sponsored
<v Speaker 1>by something or other. And you may be shocked to
<v Speaker 1>hear this. Despite whatever MS was doing with that fire extinguisher,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't hate this. I actually got a kick out
<v Speaker 1>of different parts of this year. My issue with it
<v Speaker 1>was that it was one of only five matches on
<v Speaker 1>this show. This is supposed to be a premium live event, right,
<v Speaker 1>whatever that even means these days? What really is premium
<v Speaker 1>not a lot of the stuff that we've been getting
<v Speaker 1>on these premium live events. We only had five matches
<v Speaker 1>on this show. Do you know how many people did
<v Speaker 1>not have a spot on this show? Do you know
<v Speaker 1>any championships were left out, not defended on this show?
<v Speaker 1>And in place of all of the other things that
<v Speaker 1>could have been put on this show, we ended up
<v Speaker 1>with this. That's my issue with it. Save this shit
<v Speaker 1>for TV when real estate is so precious on a
<v Speaker 1>show like this. And I get they like Dan Hausen
<v Speaker 1>and he's over. I get it, I get it, But
<v Speaker 1>a match like this does not belong on this show.
<v Speaker 1>And if you want to do this match on the show,
<v Speaker 1>then you got to add a couple more matches, that's all.
<v Speaker 1>But they're not gonna do that because they need to
<v Speaker 1>get their ads in, they need to get their plugs,
<v Speaker 1>that's why. And we had the John Cena announcement right,
<v Speaker 1>he was gonna announce his a little special event. But
<v Speaker 1>if you're gonna do shit like this, to me, it
<v Speaker 1>would be a lot more tolerable if we had six
<v Speaker 1>or seven matches on the card, not five. To me,
<v Speaker 1>that's ridiculous. And again it didn't help that it was
<v Speaker 1>coming the night after the gingerbread stuff. You go from
<v Speaker 1>one goofy thing to the next. Now, the crowd loved it. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't hate it the crowd at first. They won
<v Speaker 1>the crowd over because again they were noticeable booze. By
<v Speaker 1>the time this was over, they had won a lot
<v Speaker 1>of the fans over. I think the fans buy and
<v Speaker 1>large they liked Dan Housen, but it just it wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be so glaring to me if the rest of the
<v Speaker 1>product was firing on all cylinders and if they were
<v Speaker 1>delivering and everything else that they're doing, and they're not.
<v Speaker 1>Just the opposite, they're not delivering, And so then we
<v Speaker 1>see something like this and it's like like, you know,
<v Speaker 1>what are we doing here? But for what they tried
<v Speaker 1>to make this, it worked. I thought the comedy worked.
<v Speaker 1>It was amusing. Mascarita Cigrat is actually very talented. He
<v Speaker 1>won a lot of the fans over with some of
<v Speaker 1>his moves tonight, So I was sports entertained by it.
<v Speaker 1>But man, there was a better time and place for this.
<v Speaker 1>This really wasn't it now. Michael Cole at this point
<v Speaker 1>pitched it to a special announcement, which was not John
<v Speaker 1>Cena's announcement. This was a commercial. There's an ad to
<v Speaker 1>announce the first ever in history to night triple Mania
<v Speaker 1>coming in September. So triple Mania thirty four to Night
<v Speaker 1>one is going to be on Friday night, September eleventh,
<v Speaker 1>Triple Mania Night two is going to be on Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>September thirteenth, So they're not even doing it back to
<v Speaker 1>back nights, first to night triple Mania. That's not even
<v Speaker 1>consecutive nights, which is certainly different. Only a matter of
<v Speaker 1>time before we get that to night Royal rumble. I
<v Speaker 1>think I first said that, I'm sure everybody pretty much
<v Speaker 1>figures it's coming by now, But I remember first mentioning that,
<v Speaker 1>like a year and a half ago. I said, it's
<v Speaker 1>only a matter of time. They had already announced the
<v Speaker 1>Saudi one, so I knew it wasn't happening this year.
<v Speaker 1>But I still feel like twenty twenty seven could be
<v Speaker 1>the first two night Royal Rumble. If it's not twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty seven, then twenty twenty eight for sure. EO sky
<v Speaker 1>one on one against Osca. Immediately the beginning of this match,
<v Speaker 1>we have chance of we want Kyrie. And then they
<v Speaker 1>kind of petered out, and then I would say, maybe
<v Speaker 1>not even a minute later, they roared back, and they
<v Speaker 1>were even louder this time, And so at different points
<v Speaker 1>during the first half I would say, of this match,
<v Speaker 1>we had chance of we want Kyrie. So her presence
<v Speaker 1>or lack of thereof, was definitely felt by a good
<v Speaker 1>chunk of people in the crowd. Oscar tried for an
<v Speaker 1>arm bar early on, EO slipped out. She applied her
<v Speaker 1>own version of the Oscar lock until Oscar got a
<v Speaker 1>rope brake, so Oscar went to the top. Eo though
<v Speaker 1>pulled her down with her karana and Oscar rolled through
<v Speaker 1>into a cradle for a near fall. EO drop kicked
<v Speaker 1>her out to the floor. Oscar they'll block the dive attempt,
<v Speaker 1>and then placed EO on top of the announced desk.
<v Speaker 1>And so now they're both standing on top of the
<v Speaker 1>desk and Osca spits the blue mist at EO. But CEEEO,
<v Speaker 1>she had a plan. She picked up Wade Barrett's pad.
<v Speaker 1>It looked like a laptop, but he said it was
<v Speaker 1>his notepad, no notes on it, but it was his pad,
<v Speaker 1>and she held it up like a shield and she
<v Speaker 1>shielded herself from the mist. So you know, if only
<v Speaker 1>Thomas Jane had been able to do that in the movie,
<v Speaker 1>just hold up a pad just to shield himself from
<v Speaker 1>the mist, we could have avoided the most depressing ending
<v Speaker 1>in movie history. But you see, the blue goo is
<v Speaker 1>like dripping down the pad. Eo trips up Oscar, so
<v Speaker 1>she ends up falling face first on top of the desk,
<v Speaker 1>and then she dove off the desk with a crossbody
<v Speaker 1>onto Oscar. Then there was the Asai moon salt, the
<v Speaker 1>springboard moon salt from the ring to the floor by EO,
<v Speaker 1>and she got none of it. She completely missed Osca
<v Speaker 1>on the lane. I'm just happy that when she landed
<v Speaker 1>she didn't go right back and smack her head on
<v Speaker 1>the fucking desk like JD McDonough did that time. I
<v Speaker 1>don't understand why anybody does an a Siei moon salt
<v Speaker 1>on that side of the ring, especially after what happened
<v Speaker 1>to McDonough. Why in God's name would you do it
<v Speaker 1>on that side of the ring. Not only was there
<v Speaker 1>an announced desk there, but there's like there's a barricade,
<v Speaker 1>there's any number of things that are there, and it's
<v Speaker 1>just so dangerous. I mean, it's dangerous enough to do
<v Speaker 1>that move on any side of the ring, but why
<v Speaker 1>you would do it over there when there's a fucking
<v Speaker 1>desk there and they've reinforced these desks now they barely break.
<v Speaker 1>Can we not do it on that side of the ring? Please?
<v Speaker 1>Back inside? Osca avoided a moon salt locked in an armbar.
<v Speaker 1>EO countered, but Osca caught her in the oscar lock.
<v Speaker 1>Eo looked like she was going ninety nine. For a
<v Speaker 1>second there, I bought on this. I thought she was
<v Speaker 1>going out, but all of a sudden she got a
<v Speaker 1>burst of energy. She was able to roll out of it. Yeah. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he got a collapse lung from that. It was brutal.
<v Speaker 1>It was brutal when when he landed, he kind of
<v Speaker 1>rolled backwards and he smacked the back of his head
<v Speaker 1>on that desk. It was nasty. It was very, very sae.
<v Speaker 1>He finished the match, by the way, didn't realize he
<v Speaker 1>had a collapse lung. He still finished the match. I
<v Speaker 1>think he even did a moon salt onto Ivar or
<v Speaker 1>whoever it was. Oscar blocked a kick into a German.
<v Speaker 1>Leo came back with a German suplex of her own,
<v Speaker 1>than the running Meteora in the corner, and then finally
<v Speaker 1>the over the moon salt lands on Oscar. Eo gets
<v Speaker 1>the pin and she picks up the victory. And when
<v Speaker 1>the match was over, Eo was paying respect to her Sendpi.
<v Speaker 1>She bowed to Oscar. Oscar looked very emotional. Didn't know
<v Speaker 1>what she was going to do, if she was going
<v Speaker 1>to spit more missed at her, or attack her or
<v Speaker 1>just walk away. Instead, she hugged her, she embraced her,
<v Speaker 1>EO earned her respect. Now, if you remember in the
<v Speaker 1>video package leading into this match that we saw on Monday,
<v Speaker 1>or I guess Monday would have been the sit down,
<v Speaker 1>But at some point in the build up to this,
<v Speaker 1>Oscar mentioned that she being EO was her greatest disappointment.
<v Speaker 1>So we went from Oscar believing that EO was her
<v Speaker 1>biggest disappointment, to her embracing her and forgiving her and saying,
<v Speaker 1>you know what I was wrong, You've earned my respect.
<v Speaker 1>So it was all lovey dovey, all nothing but positive
<v Speaker 1>vibes here between these two, and the match was over.
<v Speaker 1>But what was weird about this is they both kind
<v Speaker 1>of looked emotional, more so Osca and EO raises you know,
<v Speaker 1>Oscar's arm, and they hugged again and Oscar blew a
<v Speaker 1>kiss to her and waving to the crowd. Just I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, the way this came off to me felt
<v Speaker 1>like OSCA is either done or may very well be
<v Speaker 1>done soon. Now. I know OSCA has been there for
<v Speaker 1>a very long time. Osca has been in this company
<v Speaker 1>now for a decade actually maybe longer, maybe about eleven years.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. How old she is off Hannah, she's
<v Speaker 1>like mid forties. I don't know what her plans are
<v Speaker 1>as far as how long she plans on working. She
<v Speaker 1>may want to wrestle for another five years. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but just the way this came off to me, it
<v Speaker 1>actually felt like she could be on her way out,
<v Speaker 1>and I just hope that's not the case. Oscar's fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>I know we're very far removed from nxt OSCA, you
<v Speaker 1>know that run that she was on back then, But
<v Speaker 1>I still think she has a lot to contribute, and
<v Speaker 1>I think if she were to leave, or if they
<v Speaker 1>were to let her go, that would be that would
<v Speaker 1>be a loss. I know, she hasn't been the focal
<v Speaker 1>point of the women's division for a very long time.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, things would roll on without her, but it
<v Speaker 1>would it would be loss to lose her and Kyrie
<v Speaker 1>would be a big loss to that roster. So I
<v Speaker 1>hope that isn't the case. She's forty four going on
<v Speaker 1>forty five this year. Yeah, yeah, that's about the average
<v Speaker 1>age I think of your WWE main eventor she could
<v Speaker 1>still go another five or six years, But I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what her plans are, but that was the vibe
<v Speaker 1>that I got when this match was over. This was
<v Speaker 1>a one and done this. Clearly they're not running this
<v Speaker 1>back again, and really, what's the point. There's no sense
<v Speaker 1>in doing so. Everything was built around the Kyrie stuff,
<v Speaker 1>and once Kyrie went away, to be honest with you,
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't even sure we were going to get this match.
<v Speaker 1>So now we got it. It was very good. It
<v Speaker 1>was the match of the night, the best match on
<v Speaker 1>the entire show to me. And it's over, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't know where Oscar goes from here. Maybe she goes home.
<v Speaker 1>But I did feel coming into this that EO more
<v Speaker 1>so than Oscar needed this win. After this, they showed
<v Speaker 1>Dan Spivey in the crowd. Holy shit, I wasn't expecting that.
<v Speaker 1>I think Dan Spivey actually has a new book out.
<v Speaker 1>Somebody go look up the title of it. I'll give
<v Speaker 1>it a plug, but I'm pretty sure he has a
<v Speaker 1>new book. That's how Whaling Mercy in the house, know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean. Lives are going to be in Whaling
<v Speaker 1>Mercy's hands. So he was there. And also Steve Kern
<v Speaker 1>was shown with a woman who I assume was his wife,
<v Speaker 1>and if he is married, and that wasn't his wife then?
<v Speaker 1>Uh oops, but I'm sure it was. So he was
<v Speaker 1>there as well in the crowd and again in the
<v Speaker 1>Tampa area. I mean Steve Kerr used to run Florida
<v Speaker 1>Championship Wrestley, which was their developmental territory, which bled right
<v Speaker 1>into the creation of NXT, so that was his tie
<v Speaker 1>of course. Also he was Skinner. We can't forget the
<v Speaker 1>alligator Man from the Everglades. So after this, it was
<v Speaker 1>time for John Cena in his spiffy pinstripe suit looking
<v Speaker 1>like a young Vince McMahon, his three piece pinstripe suit,
<v Speaker 1>making his way down to the ring for this epic
<v Speaker 1>history making announcement that he has been promising all week long.
<v Speaker 1>And he says, he's been wondering, you know what will
<v Speaker 1>the next phase of my WWE career be? Ever since
<v Speaker 1>I retired, I've been asking myself that question. So the
<v Speaker 1>crowd began to chant one more match at him. He
<v Speaker 1>says he thinks a lot about that last match that
<v Speaker 1>he had with Gunther, and the crowd boo, this is
<v Speaker 1>what I loved. As soon as he mentioned the last
<v Speaker 1>match he had, the fans began to boo because as
<v Speaker 1>I told all of you that night, and I will
<v Speaker 1>continue to our until my dying breath. I'm glad John
<v Speaker 1>Cena is at peace with it. It was probably his idea,
<v Speaker 1>and you know what, at the end of the day,
<v Speaker 1>it's his retirement. And if he's happy with it, then cool.
<v Speaker 1>But that finish sucked on Saturday night's main event, and
<v Speaker 1>I had to listen to so many people, Oh, it's
<v Speaker 1>such a wonderful moment, A beautiful moment, What a beautiful moment.
<v Speaker 1>It sucked, and so the crowd boos and he kind
<v Speaker 1>of laughed at it, and he goes, he's here, he
<v Speaker 1>hears us, he hears the fans. He knows some people
<v Speaker 1>were upset, but he was happy because what was most
<v Speaker 1>important to him that night is that they made it
<v Speaker 1>something bigger. They made it an evening of opportunity. Says
<v Speaker 1>that he asked for them to give chances to NXT
<v Speaker 1>stars to show what they can do. And on that night,
<v Speaker 1>for the first time, we saw Soul Ruka, and we
<v Speaker 1>saw Javon Evans, and we saw Obafemi. Obafemi debuts in
<v Speaker 1>December and four months later he strutting and he's kicking
<v Speaker 1>Brock Lesnar's asster WrestleMania, So then it hit him. He's like, damn,
<v Speaker 1>we gotta do this again. So here we are. He
<v Speaker 1>is honored tonight to announce the John Cena Classic, an
<v Speaker 1>entire evening of the best of today against the best
<v Speaker 1>of tomorrow, an entire event where WWE stars and NXT
<v Speaker 1>stars give us all they have in the hopes of
<v Speaker 1>being crowned a champion. They have a brand new event
<v Speaker 1>and a brand new championship in WWE. Just what we
<v Speaker 1>fucking need? More championships in WWE, and not just any championship.
<v Speaker 1>He says, this is an event and a title that
<v Speaker 1>he is personally putting his name on. So he is
<v Speaker 1>going to strive for a certain level of excellence and
<v Speaker 1>he's gonna do everything he can to make it special.
<v Speaker 1>So on top of all of that, for the first
<v Speaker 1>time in history, the fans' voices will be heard louder
<v Speaker 1>than ever because we, the audience, will vote to crown
<v Speaker 1>the champion of the John Cena Classic. Yes, this has
<v Speaker 1>never been done before in the history of WWE. Forget
<v Speaker 1>everything you remember about the fan voting on all those
<v Speaker 1>pay per views back in the two thousands. It never
<v Speaker 1>ever happened. Nothing like this has ever taken place in
<v Speaker 1>the history of WWA. He says, every participant qualifies, which
<v Speaker 1>also means, for the first time in history, a superstar
<v Speaker 1>might not win their match, but their hustle could win them.
<v Speaker 1>The fans vote, and the fans can still crown that
<v Speaker 1>person the John Cena Classic Champion. So basically, what he's
<v Speaker 1>saying is, no matter what the matches are that night,
<v Speaker 1>whether you win, whether you lose, you could be the
<v Speaker 1>biggest fucking loser on the show. If you get over
<v Speaker 1>with the audience, if you can buy enough votes, if
<v Speaker 1>you get stuffed the ballot box, you could become the
<v Speaker 1>John Cena Classic Champion. I have a feeling we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>need a recount here. I don't trust this voting. You're
<v Speaker 1>gonna put the decision in the hands of the fans.
<v Speaker 1>Do you see some of these people on social media?
<v Speaker 1>These are the people that you're gonna put the power
<v Speaker 1>in their hands. Really, this sounds like a terrible idea,
<v Speaker 1>but he says it's a single event that embodies everything
<v Speaker 1>he stands for. But he doesn't want to do just one.
<v Speaker 1>He wants to do this next year and the year
<v Speaker 1>after that and the year after that. He wants this
<v Speaker 1>to be a thing that's gonna be for years to come.
<v Speaker 1>So he thanked WWE for taking a chance on the idea.
<v Speaker 1>He hopes it works, and he thanked the fans for everything.
<v Speaker 1>He will see us at the John Cena Classic. How
<v Speaker 1>is that like the Arnold Classic? And now it's time
<v Speaker 1>for our main event. Before we get to the main event,
<v Speaker 1>that was the end of John Cena for the night.
<v Speaker 1>As I said at the beginning of the review, was
<v Speaker 1>it some epic historic announcement? Not really. I mean, there
<v Speaker 1>are obviously elements to this that would be considered historic
<v Speaker 1>that they haven't really done before, in terms of having
<v Speaker 1>this one night where even if you lose your match
<v Speaker 1>you could still win, the fans can vote you in.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a fucking reality show. That's basically what it is.
<v Speaker 1>And again I get the impression, just based on the
<v Speaker 1>way he's been talking about this and the way he
<v Speaker 1>was talking about it tonight, that this legitimately is a
<v Speaker 1>John Cena idea. And he went to them and said, look,
<v Speaker 1>this is what I would like to do, this is
<v Speaker 1>how it would work. I really want to try to
<v Speaker 1>make this reality And so they're indulging him and they're saying, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we'll work with you on this, because of course they
<v Speaker 1>want John Cena to be excited and they want him
<v Speaker 1>to be involved. And you're going to have this event
<v Speaker 1>and John Cena. I'm sure John Cena will be there.
<v Speaker 1>He might even be the host the event. And so
<v Speaker 1>now you can promote another event with John Cena. He
<v Speaker 1>may end up having as many appearances this year as
<v Speaker 1>he did last year the way things are going. So look,
<v Speaker 1>I think it's very admirable that he wants to help
<v Speaker 1>put that spotlight back on some of those people in NXT,
<v Speaker 1>people that I'm sure he's met being down at the
<v Speaker 1>Performance Center again. He's a big mark for Will Cruz, right,
<v Speaker 1>Mason Brook, I'm sure he'll be a big part of
<v Speaker 1>that event. I'm sure John Cena has got his eye
<v Speaker 1>on that guy. I enjoyed the matches they did on
<v Speaker 1>Saturday Nights main event. I like the idea of having
<v Speaker 1>WWE talent against NXT talent, not all the time, but
<v Speaker 1>as like a once a year thing. I think that
<v Speaker 1>could work. I just think the format, the stakes, the
<v Speaker 1>fan voting aspect of it, A lot of it has
<v Speaker 1>to be fleshed out. I still feel like there's a
<v Speaker 1>lot we don't know. We don't know who's going to
<v Speaker 1>be a part of it, we don't know when the
<v Speaker 1>event is going to be. We don't know is it
<v Speaker 1>going to be a ple e. Is it going to
<v Speaker 1>be like a peacock only event, like Saturday Nights made event.
<v Speaker 1>I get the sense it will be a ple e,
<v Speaker 1>you know, on the ESPN app and all that, but
<v Speaker 1>we don't know. I don't believe they have any pl
<v Speaker 1>e schedule for July unless they do another Evolution show,
<v Speaker 1>and there's been no mention of them doing another women's
<v Speaker 1>Evolution show this year. I don't know if they would
<v Speaker 1>have a Saturday Nights main event in July. They might,
<v Speaker 1>they might. I believe they had one last May, and
<v Speaker 1>then they definitely had one in July because that was
<v Speaker 1>Goldberg's last match, So maybe it's a Saturday Night's main event.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. So all that to say, we don't
<v Speaker 1>have all the details fleshed out just yet. As far
<v Speaker 1>as this idea of them doing a whole series of
<v Speaker 1>matches where it doesn't really matter who wins and loses.
<v Speaker 1>This John Cena Classic Champion is going to ultimately be
<v Speaker 1>decided on by the fans. It's gonna end up being
<v Speaker 1>a popularity contest, and maybe that's exactly the way the
<v Speaker 1>company wants it. This is a way for the company
<v Speaker 1>to say, Okay, we're gonna fast track whoever the fans
<v Speaker 1>tell us they really like and want to see. Use
<v Speaker 1>this as an opportunity to identify that person and maybe
<v Speaker 1>fast track them to the main roster. Like, at the
<v Speaker 1>end of all of this, does the John Cena Classic
<v Speaker 1>Champion get an automatic call up to the main roster?
<v Speaker 1>Is it just some special belt that they get and
<v Speaker 1>they go right back to NXT Again, we don't know.
<v Speaker 1>We don't know what the stakes and the end result
<v Speaker 1>are are going to be here. I just I don't
<v Speaker 1>like the idea of having a series of matches like
<v Speaker 1>this that just don't mean anything outside of yes, it's
<v Speaker 1>a showcase for people to show what they can do
<v Speaker 1>and wow the audience and try to get over that way.
<v Speaker 1>But I just feel like it kind of just defeats
<v Speaker 1>the purpose that people are just going to vote on
<v Speaker 1>whoever they like. It sounds dumb, so we have to
<v Speaker 1>wait and see what all of the details are. I
<v Speaker 1>don't hate the concept though, And look, if you don't
<v Speaker 1>like it, if you're not a fan of it, that's fine.
<v Speaker 1>It's a one night thing, you know. I mean, this
<v Speaker 1>could have been any number of things. This could have
<v Speaker 1>been some new thing they're gonna do weekly on the shows.
<v Speaker 1>It could have been you know, it could have it
<v Speaker 1>could have been anything. There's a lot more offensive things
<v Speaker 1>that this could have ended up being. To me, again,
<v Speaker 1>I think it's it's nice what he's trying to do here.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't know if it's actually gonna work. And frankly,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think he knows if it's gonna work. That's
<v Speaker 1>why he literally said during his promo, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if this is going to work. We'll all find out together.
<v Speaker 1>I just got to flesh out those details a little
<v Speaker 1>bit more. But it was already made of end time
<v Speaker 1>on this show because we had Roman Reigns defending the
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu. Now in running down
<v Speaker 1>Fatu's career during the ring intros. Actually Roman was already
<v Speaker 1>making his intro and Michael Cole was talking about Jacob Fatu,
<v Speaker 1>and in the course of doing so, Michael Cole gave
<v Speaker 1>House of Glory a shout out on Backlash. My ears
<v Speaker 1>perked up as soon as I heard House of Glory
<v Speaker 1>mentioned here on this show. He said that for years
<v Speaker 1>Fatu toiled in promotions like West Coast Pro, House of
<v Speaker 1>Glory and Game Changer Wrestling. Jacob Fatu was our world
<v Speaker 1>heavyweight champion for over two hundred days so and had
<v Speaker 1>some really good matches during that run. So that was
<v Speaker 1>a very cool thing to hear on the On the
<v Speaker 1>show tonight, crowd was hot for this one really. From
<v Speaker 1>the opening bell, Fatu sent Roman to the floor. During
<v Speaker 1>the first couple of minutes, he went for a suicide dive.
<v Speaker 1>Roman of avoided it. Fatu, though, applied the Tonguan death grip.
<v Speaker 1>They've really been trying to get this hold over as
<v Speaker 1>this lethal maneuver, so he goes to put on the
<v Speaker 1>Tonguan death grip, gets it applied. He backs Roman into
<v Speaker 1>the ring post, and then inexplicably, he releases the hold.
<v Speaker 1>I'm quite sure why he would do that. Back in
<v Speaker 1>the ring, Fatu went for a splash in the corner
<v Speaker 1>that Roman avoided. Raine dropped him with a big boot.
<v Speaker 1>He blasted him with a superman punch. He went for
<v Speaker 1>a cover and immediately Fatu kicked out. He no sold
<v Speaker 1>the Superman punch and he got right back to his feet.
<v Speaker 1>Only family could get away with that. Ain't nobody else
<v Speaker 1>gonna get away with no selling the Superman punch like that?
<v Speaker 1>Jacob Fatu though it's okay, and Rain's had this look
<v Speaker 1>of shock on his face. Oh yeah, no mention of
<v Speaker 1>MLW G I wonder why. I'm sure it has nothing
<v Speaker 1>to do with the twenty million dollars settlement that m
<v Speaker 1>one from WWE. Because Jacob, I mean, honestly, even more
<v Speaker 1>than Hog out of all the promotions. I mean, he
<v Speaker 1>had the biggest run in MLW. He was the champion there, right,
<v Speaker 1>he had the contra unit faction. Jacob fa too is
<v Speaker 1>like on some kingshit over there in MLW and they
<v Speaker 1>didn't get any love from WWE tonight, but Hog did.

<v Speaker 1>so Fatu dropped Roman with a big boot. He connected
<v Speaker 1>on a running hip attack in the corner and Fatu
<v Speaker 1>hits the ropes. He got cut off though with another
<v Speaker 1>superman punch, and this time he actually sold it and
<v Speaker 1>to count only. Though Fatu rolled to the floor. Roman
<v Speaker 1>followed caught him with a drive by Fatu though got
<v Speaker 1>the Tongan death grip reapplied, and then he released it
<v Speaker 1>again and he power bomb Roman through the announced desk
<v Speaker 1>and we had a little bit of a We had
<v Speaker 1>a little bit of a delayed breakage there, but the
<v Speaker 1>desk did finally break. But he had to get Roman
<v Speaker 1>back in the ring quickly because you can't win the
<v Speaker 1>title outside the ring and you don't want to get
<v Speaker 1>counted out. So he rushed Roman back inside and he
<v Speaker 1>got into the ring as well and he charged it Roman,
<v Speaker 1>but he got cut down by a spear and we
<v Speaker 1>got a great near fall for Roman. Moments later, Rain
<v Speaker 1>set up for another spear. Jacob though popped him up
<v Speaker 1>into the air. He caught him coming down with a
<v Speaker 1>Samoan drop. Followed that with the Mighty Moon Salt, to
<v Speaker 1>which Michael Cole said, we're gonna have a new champ.
<v Speaker 1>I forgot if it was we've got a new champion
<v Speaker 1>or we're gonna have a new champion, I'm like, thank you, Michael.
<v Speaker 1>So now I know we don't have a new champion,
<v Speaker 1>and sure enough he kicked out. Is that? I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it would have been nice if it wasn't telegraph, But
<v Speaker 1>they always have the announcers do this, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>understand why. I don't know why why do they do this?
<v Speaker 1>If you hear the announcer say we're gonna have a
<v Speaker 1>new champion, guaranteed you're not gonna have a new champion.
<v Speaker 1>So he kicked out. Both men traded punches from their knees,
<v Speaker 1>and as they got back to their feet, fat Tu
<v Speaker 1>caught him with a pair of hip attacks in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>and then he signaled yet again for the Tonguan death grip.
<v Speaker 1>He got it applied. Roman started to fade, but he
<v Speaker 1>sprang back to life. He hulked up and he got
<v Speaker 1>out of it. Fa Tou, though, popped him up again,
<v Speaker 1>but this time Roman connected with a superman punch on
<v Speaker 1>the way down. Then came the spear. He covered Fa
<v Speaker 1>Tu again, only for a near fall, and this one, honestly,
<v Speaker 1>this one should have been three. This is one of
<v Speaker 1>those spots where like the ref kind of had to
<v Speaker 1>hold up a little bit. Really should have been a
<v Speaker 1>three combo whatever. So FA two again with the tongue
<v Speaker 1>in death grip and Roman held on to the top
<v Speaker 1>turn buckle, and in the struggle here the ped came
<v Speaker 1>flying off. Fatu still had the whole applied. Roman, though,
<v Speaker 1>shoved him headfirst into the exposed buckle, followed with one
<v Speaker 1>final spear to win the match and retain the championship,
<v Speaker 1>and that was it. I mentioned earlier, Oscar and Eo
<v Speaker 1>actually got slightly more time than these two did, which
<v Speaker 1>is just incredible to think about, considering they weren't even
<v Speaker 1>on the WrestleMania card. But in the end they both
<v Speaker 1>got about the time that they needed. They got more
<v Speaker 1>than enough time in both cases to tell the story
<v Speaker 1>that they were out there to tell. Fatu was not
<v Speaker 1>happy about the loss. He did not take it very well.
<v Speaker 1>He put Roman back in the tongue in death grip.
<v Speaker 1>This had to be like the fifth fucking time he
<v Speaker 1>puts him in this tongue in death grip. And the
<v Speaker 1>referee is trying to get Fatu to release the hold
<v Speaker 1>and he shoves the refere he reapplies the hold. Referee
<v Speaker 1>intervened again. Fa Tou finally puts him down with a
<v Speaker 1>pop up Samo and drop. Nobody can stop this man.
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pierce is out there with a bunch of producers.
<v Speaker 1>I think I saw Shane Helms and Ken Done. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. There were Pat Buck. There were a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of people out there and they're all trying to
<v Speaker 1>get Fatu off of this man. In fat Tou, he
<v Speaker 1>tosses Adam Pierce through the ropes out to the floor,
<v Speaker 1>reapplies the tongue in death grip again. Pierce gets back
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and he joins with the others and
<v Speaker 1>trying to pull this man off, and Fa Tou finally
<v Speaker 1>releases the hold. He looks into the camera and he says,
<v Speaker 1>I told him, I told him three times. He said this,
<v Speaker 1>So Fatu leaves the ring. In Roman, they show Roman
<v Speaker 1>on the mat and Roman is spitting up all over himself.
<v Speaker 1>Remember the way that people used to sell the Mandible
<v Speaker 1>club when Mankind first debuted in ninety six. I'll never
<v Speaker 1>forget the first night in Night After WrestleMania, he wrestled
<v Speaker 1>Bob Holly good old spark plug Bob Holly. He put
<v Speaker 1>the mandible klawn for the first time, and I just remember,
<v Speaker 1>like he's like frothing at the mouth. He's spitting up
<v Speaker 1>all over his fucking disgust. He's spitting up all over himself.
<v Speaker 1>I want to say that lasted a few weeks and
<v Speaker 1>then they stopped doing that because he was just too disgusting.
<v Speaker 1>So Roman is he's spitting up all over the place,
<v Speaker 1>trying to sell this hold. Fatu though, gets back in
<v Speaker 1>the ring and yet again he reapplies the Tonguan death grip,
<v Speaker 1>and this time Adam Pierce is grabbing at his braids.
<v Speaker 1>He's trying to pull him off. Finally he lets go
<v Speaker 1>of the hold. He picks up the World Heavyweight title,
<v Speaker 1>holds it up above his head, and he gets booed
<v Speaker 1>as the show goes off the air. This certainly felt
<v Speaker 1>like a full blown heel turn here, even though again
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is a heel. I know, people cheer him
<v Speaker 1>like he's the biggest baby face in the Company's a
<v Speaker 1>fucking heel, But Jacob's gonna end up being the heel
<v Speaker 1>in this scenario because that's just the way it is.
<v Speaker 1>I like it. I like what they did here for
<v Speaker 1>the finish, I was wondering, how are they going to
<v Speaker 1>do this? There was no chance Roman was losing this,
<v Speaker 1>so how do you do this finish without having interference
<v Speaker 1>and a bunch of bullshit at the end. They found
<v Speaker 1>a way to do it. You know, he won, Roman
<v Speaker 1>did clean, but then you just have fought to go
<v Speaker 1>off the deep end. He finally snaps. This is what
<v Speaker 1>pushes him over the edge. He looked like a killer
<v Speaker 1>out there. He kept reapplying this devastating hold. And if
<v Speaker 1>people were trying to stop him and he's popping them
<v Speaker 1>up into the air and he's throwing them out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring and he's knocking him on their ass. Nobody
<v Speaker 1>could control this man, right. He was just the most
<v Speaker 1>dangerous men in WWE. He looked like and that was
<v Speaker 1>the point to establish him in that role. Coming out
<v Speaker 1>of this match. Even the Roman won and is still
<v Speaker 1>the champion, they now set things up for a rematch.
<v Speaker 1>I know it looks like, okay, Roman's gonna go away
<v Speaker 1>for a while. He may go away for a few weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that we're going to see him on
<v Speaker 1>TV for a while. But last I heard he is
<v Speaker 1>scheduled to be on the classes Clash in Italy card,
<v Speaker 1>and we'll probably my guess is get the rematch on
<v Speaker 1>that show. Probably get Fat too in Roman for the
<v Speaker 1>world title and Cody against Gunther for the WWE Championship,
<v Speaker 1>both on that show. So when I'm done with Roman
<v Speaker 1>until you know, deep into the summer or anything like that,
<v Speaker 1>he is going to be back in a few weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I will say this if he is going to be
<v Speaker 1>gone for an extended period of time coming out of
<v Speaker 1>Clash in Italy, if I knew, like this guy's not
<v Speaker 1>going to be around for like two months, I would say,
<v Speaker 1>fuck it, just take the belt Ofphin. Just take the
<v Speaker 1>belt of them. You know, we don't need that. We
<v Speaker 1>don't need the championship on someone if they're not going
<v Speaker 1>to be there for an extended period of time. I
<v Speaker 1>believe the idea is that he will be in Italy
<v Speaker 1>and then we won't see him again for a month.
<v Speaker 1>I don't believe he is scheduled for another show after
<v Speaker 1>that until June twenty ninth, which I want to say,
<v Speaker 1>is Philly. I know that's Monday Night Raw. So we're
<v Speaker 1>facing the possibility that Roman could beat him again and
<v Speaker 1>then vanish for a month, and even that, like, I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to see that. I don't want to see that.
<v Speaker 1>I almost hope they do put the belt on Jacob,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm not convinced they're going to do that because
<v Speaker 1>I think they're gonna want Roman in that World Championship
<v Speaker 1>match at Summer Slam. And look, if Roman and Oba
<v Speaker 1>is the goal here, then stay the course, because I
<v Speaker 1>think that should be the ultimate goal at Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>But man, you know, when the champ is not around,
<v Speaker 1>it just makes things that much more boring. And so
<v Speaker 1>I can only hope that if he's not going to
<v Speaker 1>be around for a while, you know, a month or
<v Speaker 1>whatever it is, that they have someone who can kind
<v Speaker 1>of step in there and take his place and just
<v Speaker 1>keep things interesting on TV, because we have hours and
<v Speaker 1>hours of television, you know, every week, and when your
<v Speaker 1>big guns are not there, when you're champion is not there,
<v Speaker 1>it just makes things harder because you got to work
<v Speaker 1>around it. And I get that that's what the ussos
<v Speaker 1>are for, right, but you can only do that for
<v Speaker 1>so long. So clashing Italy feels to me like that's
<v Speaker 1>where we will get the rematch here where the usso's
<v Speaker 1>are going to stand in all this. We'll have to
<v Speaker 1>wait until raw Monday night and find out they were
<v Speaker 1>not present at all on this show. Doesn't feel like
<v Speaker 1>Jacob is getting that belt anytime soon, but it does
<v Speaker 1>feel like he will get it at some point. Jacob
<v Speaker 1>is a future world champion, not a doubt in my mind.
<v Speaker 1>Jacob bron Breaker Oba feme like these these are going
<v Speaker 1>to be those those guys that are going to be
<v Speaker 1>in that mix, in this company for many years to come,
<v Speaker 1>and so at some point it will happen. I don't
<v Speaker 1>get the feeling it's happening anytime soon. I don't get
<v Speaker 1>the feeling perhaps it's even happening this year, but I
<v Speaker 1>think at some point it will. But I'm like I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching him standing there holding that belt up above his head.
<v Speaker 1>At the end, I'm like, Okay, book bookmark this. You
<v Speaker 1>know we'll come back to this at some point. This
<v Speaker 1>will become a reality at some point. It just doesn't
<v Speaker 1>feel like, you know this this summer is going to
<v Speaker 1>be the time for that. So on the whole I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was good. Again, they didn't give you a
<v Speaker 1>whole lot, But I think the stuff we got was good,
<v Speaker 1>Rollinson Breaker was good EO and Oscar was good. Roman
<v Speaker 1>in Fatu was good. The Dan Housen match, it was
<v Speaker 1>what it was. I didn't hate it the way some
<v Speaker 1>people are gonna hate. I also won't call it good,
<v Speaker 1>but I didn't hate it the way that some people
<v Speaker 1>may have hated it, although I completely understand it. So
<v Speaker 1>on the whole, you know, again, it was good. And
<v Speaker 1>we'll see what role Fatu is in going forward. Is
<v Speaker 1>he on SmackDown at all? Is he just exclusively going
<v Speaker 1>to be a raw guy because we know Gunther has
<v Speaker 1>moved over to spack down, So who does raw at
<v Speaker 1>Ra's got to get somebody. Jacob Fatu is right there.
<v Speaker 1>If Jacob Fatu is going to wrestle Roman Reigns again
<v Speaker 1>anyway in a few weeks, he may as well just
<v Speaker 1>make the move, make it official. But why would Adam
<v Speaker 1>Piers want him now? Adam Piers got beaten up by
<v Speaker 1>him tonight. Adam Piers literally got thrown out of the
<v Speaker 1>ring by this man. If Adam Pierce shows up on
<v Speaker 1>Raw Monday Night with a fucking contract binder, I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>bang my head against the wall. Welcome to Raw, Jacob Fatu,
<v Speaker 1>don't worry about what happened on Saturday. I forgive you now.
<v Speaker 1>They've made it a little bit harder to buy into
<v Speaker 1>the idea that he would even want him on Monday night. Raw.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how they're going to navigate that, but
<v Speaker 1>I guess we'll find out. Let's take a look at
<v Speaker 1>your super chats. Toya says, I don't think Jacob turned
<v Speaker 1>heel really. I don't know, man. He beat up the
<v Speaker 1>most popular babyface in the company, tried to kill him
<v Speaker 1>multiple times, stood over his body in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>the ring with the championship held high, and got booed
<v Speaker 1>by the fans in Tampa. Kind of sounds like a
<v Speaker 1>heel turned to me. But maybe you're right. Does the
<v Speaker 1>Miz and Dan Housen feud remind you of the feud
<v Speaker 1>between Bam Bam Bigelow and Doink the Clown? Yeah, in
<v Speaker 1>a way it does. And look it ain't nineteen ninety four.
<v Speaker 1>There were a lot of very silly gimmicks and feuds
<v Speaker 1>back then. You know, back then it was also a
<v Speaker 1>Doink and Dink. I was cool with like evil heel
<v Speaker 1>Doink douynk and Dink. That that was not my jam.
<v Speaker 1>I was not a fan of Doynkin dink fuckdink. I
<v Speaker 1>have nothing against Tiger Jackson, but fuck think Death's if
<v Speaker 1>I did listen to it after you told me about
<v Speaker 1>it was okay. It's okay, not a bad tune. The
<v Speaker 1>antagonist for a four ninety nine sas thank you, solo
<v Speaker 1>monster fan for eleven years. Wow, I rarely watch wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>belove your reviews. Is WWE creatively bankrupt? Tonight will be interesting? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I mean I've been saying that now for a while.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, do you watch the shows? You watched the
<v Speaker 1>shows just like I did. You tell me? Yeah? Arnold
<v Speaker 1>Arnold Arnold says it's like JD doubting Swerves heel t Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>No matter how many times I said it, he was
<v Speaker 1>convinced Swerve hasn't turned heel. I go really and I
<v Speaker 1>ran down all the reasons, like all the awful things
<v Speaker 1>he had done. I'm not convinced he's turned heel. I
<v Speaker 1>wonder he may. He may still not be convinced that
<v Speaker 1>Swerve is a heel. Lakers Pat says, does Sina do
<v Speaker 1>the ANOCHI slap to the winner? I don't think he
<v Speaker 1>has it within him to do it the way he
<v Speaker 1>would always is like apply the STF and everything. S
<v Speaker 1>Sena is not strong style and the way that Anochi was,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't think so. No, Jimmy says, I'm almost
<v Speaker 1>upset that we didn't get Jelly Housen. Yeah, I'm not
<v Speaker 1>upset about that at all. In fact, I'm I'm totally
<v Speaker 1>fine with it. Venom Ktetsu rank these New New York
<v Speaker 1>shows Becker, Seinfeld and spin City. Uh never watch spin City,
<v Speaker 1>never really watch Becker either, although I am a Ted
<v Speaker 1>Danton Finn so I'll go Seinfeld, Becker and then Spin City.
<v Speaker 1>Solo's favorite Siko is with us. Says can't contribute too
<v Speaker 1>often because I'm at risk of having my disability cut off.
<v Speaker 1>But you've been a bright spot during bad times. Much
<v Speaker 1>loves Solo. Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope
<v Speaker 1>that all works out. That's pretty shitty, but I am here.
<v Speaker 1>I am here to be the bright spot that you
<v Speaker 1>need in your day. Thank you. Brother Moore says Darby.
<v Speaker 1>Im Pac was fucking insane. You have to watch it.
<v Speaker 1>H I will have to try to check that out.
<v Speaker 1>Uh GMB with a four ninety nine says you have
<v Speaker 1>to watch a match catalog where every wrestler includes a
<v Speaker 1>certain first initial. For example, mine would be be Brett,
<v Speaker 1>Brian Bautista, Bianca, Bandito. I'll take that same match catalog.
<v Speaker 1>I know it's an easy, cheap cop out answer, but
<v Speaker 1>you got bretton there, you got you got a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of good people in there. Yeah. Yeah, uh, although maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe I don't know. Man, that's a pretty it's a
<v Speaker 1>pretty good one that you put together there. I don't
<v Speaker 1>have to think about that. Uh. Dry Chicken says Oscar
<v Speaker 1>needs some Lebron music after her match with EO Lebron music. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Lebron is awesome. In case you were wondering at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the review, that is Lebron call me Golden Boy.
<v Speaker 1>In other news, Mark Davis beat Jungle Boy for the
<v Speaker 1>national That did he? Mark Davis beat Jungle Boy for
<v Speaker 1>the national title? Hell fucking yeah, Mark Davis with some
<v Speaker 1>gold and not Trio's gold. Some singles gold. I'm a
<v Speaker 1>Mark for Mark Davis, So I'm very happy to hear
<v Speaker 1>that he's getting he's been gay a push, he said, well,
<v Speaker 1>something of a push. I'm I'm very happy to hear
<v Speaker 1>that I'm happy for him fast Ad. He says, solo
<v Speaker 1>Mortal Kombat two was great. I'm ready for Masters of
<v Speaker 1>the Universe. Yeah. I enjoyed Mortal Kombat two. I just
<v Speaker 1>thought yesterday I enjoyed it. It was just some some
<v Speaker 1>dumb fun and I also am looking forward to Masters
<v Speaker 1>of the Universe and the back Rooms. Before we do
<v Speaker 1>Masters of the Universe, we have the back Rooms on
<v Speaker 1>May twenty ninth, Toya says, oh, joy, another classic. That's
<v Speaker 1>all we need. This is the John Cena Classic. After
<v Speaker 1>that it'll be the AJ Styles Classic Z Ray with
<v Speaker 1>a fifteen dollars super Jeddio versus Oscar was the best
<v Speaker 1>match of the night. But I agree with you that
<v Speaker 1>it seemed like it was Oscar's retirement or final match
<v Speaker 1>in WWE. Yeah, I mean it had that vibe if
<v Speaker 1>it was. If it wasn't the end for her, it
<v Speaker 1>felt like it might be coming very soon. I hope not.
<v Speaker 1>Though Alexander says, whoever wins that Sena Championship will gain
<v Speaker 1>the ability to not be seen more championships. Dry Chicken says,
<v Speaker 1>thank goodness John Cena didn't announce WWE creating their own
<v Speaker 1>version of Forbidden Door. Yes, that is because they will
<v Speaker 1>never do a proper version of forbidden Door, because there
<v Speaker 1>is only one door that is forbidden, and that door
<v Speaker 1>will not be opened anytime soon. Brody says, finally made
<v Speaker 1>it to a live stream a little late because I
<v Speaker 1>had to start the pay per view later. Been a
<v Speaker 1>fan for a couple of years now. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>everything you do, Brody. I appreciate the nineteen ninety nine.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate you being here with us tonight. Welcome to
<v Speaker 1>the party, Osco welcomes you too. That's just her way
<v Speaker 1>of initiating you into the family here. Dried Chicken at
<v Speaker 1>backlash at back Yeah, well, there's a lot of different
<v Speaker 1>ways you could say it. Thank you, dried Chicken. Thank
<v Speaker 1>you for the double drop, the greatest housend the nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine. Grew up watching Memphis wrestling in the seventies
<v Speaker 1>and eighties. The Oscar Eo match had the same type
<v Speaker 1>of psychology and intensity that those matches had back then,
<v Speaker 1>even down to the foot on the ropes save great match.
<v Speaker 1>You know, back then you also had the classic Tupelo
<v Speaker 1>concession stand bra I think Eo and Osca could probably
<v Speaker 1>get one more match out of if they really wanted to.
<v Speaker 1>They could have their own version of a Tupelo concession
<v Speaker 1>stand bra a falcon star. That's not weird at all. Brother,
<v Speaker 1>we're all friends here. A golden boy, says a geez.
<v Speaker 1>Darby thrown off a balcony like twenty feet through four tables.
<v Speaker 1>This guy is gonna off himself doing that. Is that
<v Speaker 1>what happened in the match with Pack tonight? That's just
<v Speaker 1>another night for Darby Allen fallen exposure. They should put
<v Speaker 1>us on the payroll if they want us to scout
<v Speaker 1>for new talent for them. Yeah, they're just they're out
<v Speaker 1>sourcing their own work to us. Plus Ultra Adrian, what's
<v Speaker 1>going on? Leoper Toews pause Infinity War. Oh man, look
<v Speaker 1>at this guy getting shoved around here. Watch what this
<v Speaker 1>guy does. This is my favorite part. Watch this, Watch this,
<v Speaker 1>wait for it, wait for it, wait for it. There
<v Speaker 1>you go. That's right, that's right. Toya says, Oscar is leaving.
<v Speaker 1>I believe boots again with a ten here to answer
<v Speaker 1>the Be the Booker Double Be the Booker Open Challenge. Well,
<v Speaker 1>we're six out of fifteen on that goal. Dry Chicken
<v Speaker 1>says of ww we cut EO and Oscar's match short,
<v Speaker 1>EO and Oscar would have been would have beaten up
<v Speaker 1>the entire crew from the gorilla position. I don't doubt
<v Speaker 1>that they can do it. You don't mess with those Joshi's.
<v Speaker 1>Did you see what Eo did in there with Penta
<v Speaker 1>and Luke Jonderground, Toya says, I don't think Jacob turned heel.
<v Speaker 1>I guess we'll find out this week, won't we. We'll
<v Speaker 1>get our answer very soon. Uh Andre Jefferson Hey Solo
<v Speaker 1>or the USO's being affected by the dismantling of the
<v Speaker 1>tag team division. They haven't wrestled since WrestleMania, and that
<v Speaker 1>was a six man tag. All they have been since
<v Speaker 1>is a wall between Jacob and Roman. Well, I mean
<v Speaker 1>it's been three weeks since WrestleMania and the focus has
<v Speaker 1>been this story with Roman and Jacob, of which they
<v Speaker 1>have become parts. So them not wrest Linson's WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 1>mean that doesn't really mean a whole lot to me
<v Speaker 1>because it's only been a few weeks and they've been
<v Speaker 1>involved in the World Heavyweight title story. And then you
<v Speaker 1>add to that that, yes, the tag team division is
<v Speaker 1>dead and they have nobody to work with. So between
<v Speaker 1>those two things. I'm not shocked that they haven't had
<v Speaker 1>any matches. Neither has La Night. He was part of
<v Speaker 1>that match too. Nick Grosso, what are your thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>Dark Side of the Rings season seven? Yeah, I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>run down all those topics and my thoughts tomorrow. I
<v Speaker 1>have that plan for the sound off, so we will
<v Speaker 1>talk about that on the podcast. Thank you, Nick, along
<v Speaker 1>with by the way, one episode that had been rumored
<v Speaker 1>and ended up not being on the list. I'll mention
<v Speaker 1>that one too, plus Ultra Adrian. I heard Stephen King
<v Speaker 1>prefers the missed movie ending. I don't blame him one bit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah he does. He actually prefers the movie ending to
<v Speaker 1>his own ending. I could see why. It's very very upsetting.
<v Speaker 1>It's very yeah, yeah, no it will. It will not
<v Speaker 1>put you in a very good mood. But it is
<v Speaker 1>a great I have to admit it is a great ending.
<v Speaker 1>And j R. Vischer oscar on ig earlier today she
<v Speaker 1>had my way playing did she are we talking? Limp Biscuit?
<v Speaker 1>My way? Are we talking? Frank Sinatra? I did it much?
<v Speaker 1>Which my way are we talking about? Those are two
<v Speaker 1>very different my ways. A Staliano the renegade is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a topic, Yes, he will be, and Meta
<v Speaker 1>Metamorphia by Sell, Rent RVD, Hurricane or Daniel Brian as
<v Speaker 1>Cain's partner. The only correct answer to this question is
<v Speaker 1>x PAC and he's not even listed here. Actually no,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry Undertaker of course, but Undertaker or x pocs
<v Speaker 1>far As Kane tag team partners. Those are the only
<v Speaker 1>acceptable answers to me. Not Big Show, not Hurricane, even
<v Speaker 1>Team Hill. Know. I wasn't the biggest fan of Team
<v Speaker 1>He'll know, But of the options you've given me, I
<v Speaker 1>have to go Daniel Brian, RBD and Sell on a Hurricane,
<v Speaker 1>Golden Boy. Wednesday's match between Darby and Okata change to
<v Speaker 1>Darby against Takeshta. Okata is in Japan for family business.
<v Speaker 1>Is that part of the storyline or is there like
<v Speaker 1>a family emergency that he had to tend to hopefully
<v Speaker 1>hopefully not hopefully not in the emergency? Oh, Javeli is
<v Speaker 1>with us, greetings. Haaveli says this is the twentieth anniversary
<v Speaker 1>of Backlash two thousand and six. Thoughts on the McMahon
<v Speaker 1>versus HBK and God, Thoughts on Takahashi might be going
<v Speaker 1>to WWE, and who is most likely to win King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring Seth or Randy. I hope neither of them.
<v Speaker 1>But if it were to come down to Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>or Randy Orton, then Randy Orton so that way we
<v Speaker 1>can get a proper match run back at some point
<v Speaker 1>with him and Cody. I have no interest in seeing
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rollins when King of the Ring. We don't even
<v Speaker 1>know if they're gonna be doing King of the Ring. Uh. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Horomu is coming to w w A, probably gonna end
<v Speaker 1>up in NXTA. In fact, that name that people thought
<v Speaker 1>was being given to evil, which ended up he ended
<v Speaker 1>up getting a different name altogether. That name could very
<v Speaker 1>well be Takahashi's name when he comes in. As far
<v Speaker 1>as Backlash six, yeah, the Vincent God stuff, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't give a shit about it. I just thought
<v Speaker 1>it was very stupid. I thought it was very dumb.
<v Speaker 1>That's my thought on that. Yes, the time mister McMahon
<v Speaker 1>would not put over God. Wasn't there some kind of
<v Speaker 1>segment or skit or whatever they did in like a
<v Speaker 1>church with Vince and Shane and something with holy water.
<v Speaker 1>It's ridiculous, all right. Well, we're we're we hit seven
<v Speaker 1>out of fifteen on the bonus call. So it's not
<v Speaker 1>looking like a double B the booker, but the like skull.
<v Speaker 1>If you remember the wheel here there it is five
<v Speaker 1>hundred and fifteen likes. We are currently sitting at seven fifty.
<v Speaker 1>We crushed it. So on that note, let's be the booker,
<v Speaker 1>ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Here we go. We booked some we booked some interesting
<v Speaker 1>matches last night in the SmackDown review. See what we
<v Speaker 1>come up with you here tonight. Tag Team Wrestling may
<v Speaker 1>be dead in WWE, but it's alive and well here
<v Speaker 1>in the Sola Monster universe. Who just mentioned Daniel, Brian
<v Speaker 1>and Kane Are you kidding me? Look who popped up
<v Speaker 1>on my screen? Team? Hell no, but we're not picking
<v Speaker 1>them because it is choose two single stars to form
<v Speaker 1>a makeshift team. I just mentioned these two as a
<v Speaker 1>team and they pop up on my screen. It's like
<v Speaker 1>it knows, there's no way for it to know, but
<v Speaker 1>somehow it does. All right, So we got to pick
<v Speaker 1>four single star. That's what we're gonna do. This is fate.
<v Speaker 1>You're absolutely right, that's what exactly what it is. It's
<v Speaker 1>all fate. Be the booker as tired of the tag
<v Speaker 1>team division as well. It's rapidly losing interest in tag
<v Speaker 1>team wrestling. It's not drawing the way it Easter. Earthquake.
<v Speaker 1>He got a dark Side of the Ring episode previously,
<v Speaker 1>even though there's not really a lot dark about his career.
<v Speaker 1>His passing though, that was very dark. Earthquake is going
<v Speaker 1>to be teaming with that. Can't be Typhoon because I
<v Speaker 1>know Typhoon is not in here, but it will be
<v Speaker 1>Earthquake and Razor Ramone as a tag team. Interesting, what
<v Speaker 1>do we call that team? Can't call them the natural Disasters?
<v Speaker 1>So what do we call them? Earthquake and Razor against
<v Speaker 1>Christian Cage and his tag team partner Ray Phoenix. Ray
<v Speaker 1>Phoenix is just happy to be booked. He is ecstatic.
<v Speaker 1>He's actually gonna work. He's actually booked. Come on over, Ray,
<v Speaker 1>You're always welcome here. That's a very interesting match. All right,
<v Speaker 1>women's be the booker. We got our tag team match,
<v Speaker 1>now we need a women's match. Well, I know the
<v Speaker 1>chat will of course be very excited about this, but
<v Speaker 1>we have Nikita Lyons, who I don't even believe is
<v Speaker 1>on NXT anymore. I think she's down and Evolve. I'm
<v Speaker 1>trying to figure out who that is underneath her, and
<v Speaker 1>I can't. I can't tell who it is. I can't
<v Speaker 1>tell who that is anyway, there she is now. Nikita
<v Speaker 1>lyons he is going to go one on one with
<v Speaker 1>who let's find out should have been me with Julia
<v Speaker 1>from Stardom, which is the best version of Julia. But
<v Speaker 1>I don't know about this match. I mean, how good
<v Speaker 1>can she be if she was sent down from NXT
<v Speaker 1>to Evolve? Should I approve this? What do you think
<v Speaker 1>can Stardom Julia get a really good match out of this?
<v Speaker 1>I have hopes. I have hopes. Oh she was on
<v Speaker 1>NXT last week? Okay, yeah, but was that the first
<v Speaker 1>time in a while or is she back in NXT?
<v Speaker 1>Lost it? I isy, Dame Julia will make it work.
<v Speaker 1>I think she will too. I think she'll be extra
<v Speaker 1>motivated to make that work. And in our main event
<v Speaker 1>of the evening, Yeah, we picked Julia a lot in
<v Speaker 1>this be the booker is trying to communicate something here. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>our main event has austin theory. I can already see
<v Speaker 1>where this is going. I can already see where this
<v Speaker 1>is going. Oh oh no, wait a minute, this changes
<v Speaker 1>everything here. Wow, a little swerve there, we got a
<v Speaker 1>swerve hold on. I was not expecting that. Sean Michaels
<v Speaker 1>nineteen ninety six Shawn Michaels against Austin Theory. Well, that
<v Speaker 1>just changed my entire perspective on this match. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 1>would be good. That would be a good match. Look
<v Speaker 1>at that. You got yourselves a clean sweep. EJ. Slimp says,
<v Speaker 1>I watched the Patterson slaughter Alley fight. The vault just uploaded.
<v Speaker 1>Hell of a match. If Hiromu goes to WWE, is
<v Speaker 1>Daryl coming to or is he staying in Japan? I
<v Speaker 1>believe that Daryl is having work visa issues, and so
<v Speaker 1>Darrel will not be making the trip unless they can
<v Speaker 1>get those visa issues worked out very quickly. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you don't want Daryl to come over without a proper
<v Speaker 1>work visa and then he gets caught, he gets deported.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a five year ban. That's what happened to Speedball.
<v Speaker 1>He got banned from the US for five years. That's
<v Speaker 1>why he's working so much these days. It's making up
<v Speaker 1>for lost time. I remember it was Wrestleman. I think
<v Speaker 1>it was the first WrestleMania a week after he was
<v Speaker 1>allowed back into the States, so this was a few
<v Speaker 1>years ago. And Speedball, he worked like that. One week,
<v Speaker 1>he worked like ten matches. It was like something crazy
<v Speaker 1>like that. Like I have all this time I have
<v Speaker 1>to make up for and Clone Force with twenty four
<v Speaker 1>months of channel membership, Can I get a birthday shout
<v Speaker 1>at him turning twenty seven tomorrow? Yes, you may, Happy birthday,
<v Speaker 1>Clone Force, Happy twenty seventh birthday. In fifteen minutes, it
<v Speaker 1>will be your birthday. Yeah, that's right. Ali was also
<v Speaker 1>supposed to win the North American title from Dominic. That's right.
<v Speaker 1>In NXT. Sean Michaels was using him in NXT, he
<v Speaker 1>was gonna win the championship. They had a pl match
<v Speaker 1>announced and they cut him, like Kyrie saying in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the story, they cut her. They cut Ali
<v Speaker 1>and this guy just he just had no luck in
<v Speaker 1>that company. Man, But I'm glad to see him doing
<v Speaker 1>well in other places. He's a great talent. Don't stay
<v Speaker 1>in the twenty seven club. Yeah, yeah, isn't that the
<v Speaker 1>River Phoenix and and all those guys. Is that the
<v Speaker 1>twenty seventh club. Yeah, you don't want to be in
<v Speaker 1>that club. You need to get to twenty eight as
<v Speaker 1>quickly as possible. Stay away from that. Tried Chicken says,
<v Speaker 1>if I would work with brock Lesnar and Match, I
<v Speaker 1>would purposely go into business for myself while Vince is
<v Speaker 1>in charge, was in charge, Like, ah, you would go
<v Speaker 1>into business for yourself against brock Lesner. Rest in peace,
<v Speaker 1>Dry Chicken. It was nice knowing you and Philly Town.
<v Speaker 1>If you could pick the biggest problem in WWE and
<v Speaker 1>fix it, what would it be? The biggest problem in
<v Speaker 1>WWE is unfixable because it's called it's three initials TKO.
<v Speaker 1>And you know from that stems you know, the high
<v Speaker 1>ticket prices, the over commercialization, it all goes back to TKO.
<v Speaker 1>Those are honestly the biggest issues right now with WWE.
<v Speaker 1>Then you get into the creative, and creative is a
<v Speaker 1>subjective thing, and we could talk about the you know,
<v Speaker 1>we could talk about the lack of a tag team
<v Speaker 1>division or you know, women's division on certain shows, or
<v Speaker 1>the character building stuff I talked about before. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's lots of like little issues like that. The bigger issues, unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>are unfixable right now, you know, given who's in charge,
<v Speaker 1>Starboy Bebop. Did you ever watch Mortal Kombat Legacy? I
<v Speaker 1>did not know, And Sean Waters could have sworn when
<v Speaker 1>Sina was doing the Oba strut in the suit, I
<v Speaker 1>saw Vince McMahon doing this struck. I told you he
<v Speaker 1>reminded me very much of a younger Vince McMahon, including
<v Speaker 1>when he did destrut. I don't know if that's a
<v Speaker 1>good thing or a bad thing. Hey, tomorrow, a brand
<v Speaker 1>new episode of the Sound of Episode nine sixty two
<v Speaker 1>is going to be dropping later in the afternoon. We'll
<v Speaker 1>talk about the fallout from Backlash. Got some news on
<v Speaker 1>Nick con from the WWE financial side, and a lot
<v Speaker 1>to say about the passing of Ted Turner, which was
<v Speaker 1>in the grand scheme of things when it comes to wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>actually a very very important figure in the history of wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>So we'll talk about him. And I got some legal
<v Speaker 1>news to go over putting our friend Alberto back in
<v Speaker 1>the news and Rajah Jackson. So that'll be tomorrow. On
<v Speaker 1>episode nine sixty two, Twisted Rister, it was Frank Sinatra
<v Speaker 1>my way for Oscar. Well, that's not good Javeli with
<v Speaker 1>a seven. If wrestle Mania thirty eight wasn't a title
<v Speaker 1>for title winner take all between Brock and Roman, what
<v Speaker 1>would be the WWE Championship match? What would the match
<v Speaker 1>had been? Happy Mother's Day? Thank you Solo Monster, the
<v Speaker 1>goat favorite rap group? I ho if we just stuck
<v Speaker 1>that in there at the end there it's hard, but
<v Speaker 1>it's like as well stuck that in there at the end.
<v Speaker 1>What and thank you Solo Monster? And by the way,
<v Speaker 1>what is the Pythagorean theorem? I'm not sure how early
<v Speaker 1>favorite rap group? I mean, I can go n w A.
<v Speaker 1>I guess, I don't know. There's a lot to choose
<v Speaker 1>from Wu Tang. I mean Wu Tang is a good choice.
<v Speaker 1>Can't go wrong there. What was the other question? Oh,
<v Speaker 1>if it wasn't a title for title match, I have
<v Speaker 1>to put my myself back in the uh back in
<v Speaker 1>the twenty twenty two right twenty twenty two roster man.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, I don't know. I don't know. Brock
<v Speaker 1>had the belt that belonged to Raw. He took the
<v Speaker 1>belt from Bigie. I believe Biggie maybe goes into Mania
<v Speaker 1>as the champion against Rollins. Does that sound about right.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to remember what was going on at that time.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see Brody. A piece of music from the Dark
<v Speaker 1>Night soundtrack came on Shuffle the other day. Aggressive expansion
<v Speaker 1>gives me chills every time. Yeah, the Main I'll have
<v Speaker 1>to look that one up. The Main score, the soundtrack
<v Speaker 1>for that is just fantastic. So was the soundtrack for
<v Speaker 1>The Batman. After I watched the movie finally, I was like,
<v Speaker 1>let me pop on over to Spotify and just listen
<v Speaker 1>to some of the soundtrack. That's very good. Z Ray,
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, Zra with one, with two, with three.
<v Speaker 1>Look it's z Ray. He's going crazy and would you
<v Speaker 1>believe it? Z Ray got us to fifteen out of
<v Speaker 1>fifteen on the goal. Look at his crazy sob one
<v Speaker 1>right after the other. Look at all these ten spots here.
<v Speaker 1>He really wanted that double be the booker. This is, officially,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, the z Ray Classic. Althoughjaveli is nipping
<v Speaker 1>at his heels here Haavely is right behind him. But
<v Speaker 1>forget the John Cena Classic, we have the z Ray Classic. Tonight,
<v Speaker 1>I am officially naming this next round to be the
<v Speaker 1>Booker after z Ray and Brian Finelli too coming into
<v Speaker 1>with the assist. Thank you Brian, Brian doing his part too.
<v Speaker 1>This is what a team effort looks like. This is
<v Speaker 1>great teamwork here. CMJ World says Backlash felt like more
<v Speaker 1>of a Saturday Nights made event than a pl e
<v Speaker 1>Uh yeah, I don't disagree with you on that. I
<v Speaker 1>thought WrestleMania felt more like a Saturday Night's Mad event,
<v Speaker 1>let alone Backlash. Night one of WrestleMania this year felt
<v Speaker 1>like a Saturday Nights main event and garbage. Pale kid.
<v Speaker 1>I had a weird dream that Bushy Road bought WWE.
<v Speaker 1>What does it mean? Is it a message? I would
<v Speaker 1>love it if Bushy Road bud WWE? Actually maybe not.
<v Speaker 1>They're very uh, they're very strict when it comes to
<v Speaker 1>content creators. That might not be a good idea. Actually
<v Speaker 1>it's not even really a Bushy Road thing. That's more
<v Speaker 1>TV Asahi. So sure, maybe Bushy Road can buy it
<v Speaker 1>from TKO. What do you think? I doubt they could
<v Speaker 1>afford it, Alexander, we need a third night of Giant Gonzales.
<v Speaker 1>Oh shit, that's right, this would be this would be
<v Speaker 1>the third time this week, right, we had Giant Gonzales
<v Speaker 1>against John Cena. On Monday, we had Giant Gonzales again
<v Speaker 1>and be the booker last night, although I don't remember,
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember who his opponent was. Oh, it was
<v Speaker 1>carrying cross and so this could very well be. This
<v Speaker 1>could be the third night of the Giant Gonzales. Let's
<v Speaker 1>find out. Let's go back. Now, shut up, I got
<v Speaker 1>to turn all that off. Okay, you have unlocked the
<v Speaker 1>bonus round. And when we do this, what is Bushy wrote?
<v Speaker 1>Bushy Road owns New Japan Pro Wrestling and stardom. I
<v Speaker 1>think Startdom. There was some sort of ownership change recently,
<v Speaker 1>but anyway, that is the parent company of New Japan
<v Speaker 1>Pro Wrestling. For those who don't know my planning on
<v Speaker 1>seeing Masters of the Universe. Yes a m I was
<v Speaker 1>a big, big, big he Man fan as a kid.
<v Speaker 1>I saw the first movie, first live action movie, saw
<v Speaker 1>the cartoon as a kid. Used to have all the
<v Speaker 1>toys he Man and Man at Arms orco Battle Cat
<v Speaker 1>skeletor Trap Jaw. All right, here we go. Stipulation for
<v Speaker 1>our first match. It's going to be a monsters ball match.
<v Speaker 1>I would say, yeah, Bushy Road sold stardom. That just
<v Speaker 1>happened recently. That's what I was trying to remember. All right,
<v Speaker 1>So it's gonna be a I guess what a tag
<v Speaker 1>would be? The tag team match first, I guess? So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>tag team monsters ball match. We get too many of those,
<v Speaker 1>the shield seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a Monster's ball. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>this is right up Moxley's alley. He's gonna bleed. There's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be some blood here in this Monster's Ball match.
<v Speaker 1>They're gonna take the Booker t and gold Dust. That's
<v Speaker 1>a fine match. We got some we got some stars,
<v Speaker 1>we got some names. Moxley will absolutely bleed. Our second match,
<v Speaker 1>our women's match, Oh my god, are you kidding me again?
<v Speaker 1>What is the obsession with eyes? We land on this
<v Speaker 1>far too often, eye for an eye, and with the
<v Speaker 1>women know us too. I feel like we've had a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of women's eye for an eye matches. I don't understand. Well,
<v Speaker 1>one of the one of the ladies is losing an eye.
<v Speaker 1>It's like Kano and Mortal Kombat. All right, let's see
<v Speaker 1>who's who's who's losing an eye here? Hi Karushida. Look
<v Speaker 1>at the look on her face. It looks like she
<v Speaker 1>already lost one she looks like she's in great pain.
<v Speaker 1>It looks like she lost her left eye because there's
<v Speaker 1>some green goo. It looks like there's some green goo
<v Speaker 1>leaking out of her her left eye. Her eyes are closed,
<v Speaker 1>but it looks like there's I don't know, some sort
<v Speaker 1>of I don't know what that puss or or something
<v Speaker 1>that's leaking out. Anyway, to find out who her opponent
<v Speaker 1>is going to be, Mina and Mariah want to make
<v Speaker 1>this a three way match. Okay, well, then I guess
<v Speaker 1>we have two opponents to pick instead of one. You
<v Speaker 1>better get to it. Opponent number one for Shida Trish Stratus.
<v Speaker 1>That'd be a great match, But we have one more.
<v Speaker 1>We're not done yet. We have Hikarushida. We have Trish Stratus,
<v Speaker 1>and we have Chris Statlander, who is literally at the
<v Speaker 1>moment in a Team Slash program story with Hikarushida, who
<v Speaker 1>is likely going to go heal on her any week now.
<v Speaker 1>And what a match that is, even though the stipulation sucks.
<v Speaker 1>How am I gonna give a buzz to a match
<v Speaker 1>with Trish Stratus, Karashida and Chris Statlander? Are you kidding me? Unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>Shida is losing an eye, So she's gonna have to
<v Speaker 1>start wearing an eyepatch going forward for Shida. That's the
<v Speaker 1>that's just the way it goes. And in our main event,
<v Speaker 1>unless our boys z Ray goes crazy again and gets
<v Speaker 1>us a triple a triple bonus, it all boils down
<v Speaker 1>to this. We got to pick a good one here,
<v Speaker 1>no eye for an eye. Can you imagine we land
<v Speaker 1>on that again? Okay, I can live with this. A
<v Speaker 1>ladder match, a good old fashioned ladder match. So they
<v Speaker 1>announced on Collision tonight that there is a four way
<v Speaker 1>for the women's title, a double or nothing, with Tekla
<v Speaker 1>defending against Statlanders and Jamie Hayter. Okay, well that's definitely
<v Speaker 1>an angle alert. Something's going down there with Chida and Statlander. Ugh,
<v Speaker 1>look at this Big Papa Pump Scott Steiner. Look at
<v Speaker 1>those arms. Ugh, it's disgusting, like he's a storing food
<v Speaker 1>for the winter inside his bicep. What is that? They
<v Speaker 1>look like by step implants. But he is your hookup
<v Speaker 1>holler if you hear him. And now we must pick
<v Speaker 1>an opponent for Big Papa Pump, Eddie Guerrero and Scott
<v Speaker 1>Steiner in a ladder match. Back to back back to
<v Speaker 1>back sweeps. The other thing is Scott Steiner should not
<v Speaker 1>be in a ladder match. Big Papa Pump should not
<v Speaker 1>be in a ladder match, especially if he has drop
<v Speaker 1>foot syndrome. He should not be climbing ladders. That is
<v Speaker 1>not going to end well. Let Eddie do the climbing. Well.
<v Speaker 1>I would say that's a hell of a card we
<v Speaker 1>put together right there. I'm glad we had that bonus
<v Speaker 1>round that was better than the first one that we did,
<v Speaker 1>and no giant Gonzales. The streak is over Philly Town.
<v Speaker 1>What's your favorite ECW memory? And you missed the last one?
<v Speaker 1>Let's find out. Ah, there it is. Are you afraid
<v Speaker 1>that WWE will start sending Sena out in a suit
<v Speaker 1>every pay per view to milk announcements and attendance numbers.
<v Speaker 1>Then I going to send him out there for every
<v Speaker 1>pay per view. But I do think that they will
<v Speaker 1>want to use him as much as they possibly can,
<v Speaker 1>and I think that he'll be willing to do it
<v Speaker 1>as long as he's available, because he usually says yes
<v Speaker 1>to whatever they need him for. I get the sense
<v Speaker 1>that he very rarely says no to them. I think
<v Speaker 1>the key with him is just not to not to
<v Speaker 1>put him out there too many times. You don't want
<v Speaker 1>to overexpose him. But what's your favorite ECW memory? You
<v Speaker 1>know what? For me, I think it would probably be
<v Speaker 1>at the One Night's the first One Night Stand in
<v Speaker 1>two thousand and five, Sandman's entrance, just hearing that song again,
<v Speaker 1>seeing him up in the balcony at the Hammerstegn and
<v Speaker 1>making his way through everybody singing along to the song.
<v Speaker 1>And it's one of those moments I wish I was
<v Speaker 1>there that night, And I've been in that building like
<v Speaker 1>so many times in the years after that. I was
<v Speaker 1>in that building for Ring of Honor. I'm like, man,
<v Speaker 1>why didn't I go to that show? Like to be
<v Speaker 1>in the crowd for that moment would have been electric.
<v Speaker 1>It would have been unbelievable. Javeli thirty four months of
<v Speaker 1>channel membership. Any chance of House of Glory going overseas
<v Speaker 1>maybe Australia. No international travel plans right now, nothing planned
<v Speaker 1>right now. Right now, we're focusing on us expansion. We
<v Speaker 1>have a whole bunch of cities that we plan on running,
<v Speaker 1>so we'll take it one month at a time. No
<v Speaker 1>plans for global domination just yet. Have you watched season
<v Speaker 1>three of LFG? I have not. Have you listened to
<v Speaker 1>the Undertaker podcast with John Cena? Was that the one
<v Speaker 1>that they did over wrestle many a week? I did,
<v Speaker 1>I did, Dried Chicken, Moxley and Rollins against Booker and
<v Speaker 1>gold Dust. Match ends in a no contest because a
<v Speaker 1>zombie apocalypse breaks out. Both teams will help you survive
<v Speaker 1>for a monsters ball mash. That sounds about right. We've
<v Speaker 1>got Navy forty one eighty one. Hope Ventura comes back
<v Speaker 1>for Saturday night's main event. What kind of bs is
<v Speaker 1>that walking out the door. He's too honest for them.
<v Speaker 1>He's too honest for them. They don't like that. Wwe
<v Speaker 1>will buy House of Glory before that happened before before
<v Speaker 1>we go to Australia. Probably they're gonna they're gonna buy
<v Speaker 1>h O G. And then and then what happened to
<v Speaker 1>the commissioner? The commissioners out of a job. I better
<v Speaker 1>get that that note cut clause put into my contract
<v Speaker 1>very soon to protect me Irenzo. The John Cena Classic
<v Speaker 1>Winner reward is we never see them again? Well, hey,
<v Speaker 1>the first female winner of LFG Season one, right, Big
<v Speaker 1>LFG winner and they cut her, she is gone. It's
<v Speaker 1>very possible that could happen Chicago for m b K
<v Speaker 1>one of our brand new members first month. Really awesome
<v Speaker 1>to be part of your community. Well, we're very happy
<v Speaker 1>to have you, so enjoy your stay and and the
<v Speaker 1>sweet emojis by the way, that you now have acts too, also, Louise,
<v Speaker 1>we go from a first month member to Louise who
<v Speaker 1>was a fifty nine month member. Wwe better keep an
<v Speaker 1>eye on this Andy's hantavirus situation. Yeah, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they're too worried about it right now. They're all trying
<v Speaker 1>to play it down. But I guess we'll see. Where
<v Speaker 1>is that cruise ship by the way, did it doc anywhere?
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they were doing any kind of contact
<v Speaker 1>tracing for the people who left the ship. They just
<v Speaker 1>walked off the ship and went home. I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>that's great now. I'm not too worried about this one
<v Speaker 1>right now, though, based on what they're saying, EJ Slim
<v Speaker 1>Buyers sell more ridiculous than hilarious Darby against mocks, some
<v Speaker 1>hold barred blood band or Eddie Kingston against e she
<v Speaker 1>Chops barred. If you bar the chops I don't know that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that there's a match. What do they
<v Speaker 1>do if you if you ban the chops in an
<v Speaker 1>Eddie Kingston e Shi match, what does that match look like?
<v Speaker 1>Raccoon City is where it docked? Uh oh, what could
<v Speaker 1>go wrong? I'm gonna buy on. I'm actually gonna buy
<v Speaker 1>on on Eddie and Ehi because I'm very curious what
<v Speaker 1>that match looks like in twenty twenty six. If you
<v Speaker 1>bar them from throwing a single chop, I'll bug Wattie
<v Speaker 1>Hope lash legend starts using the old atomic drop. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>nobody uses the atomic drop anymore. I'd like to see
<v Speaker 1>someone start using the atomic drop again. That or the
<v Speaker 1>atomic Wedgie either one. Z Ray said Channel member man
<v Speaker 1>z Ray is killing it tonight. Dry Chicken says, with
<v Speaker 1>twenty one months of membership, we love you solo. Here's
<v Speaker 1>Jack and Coke for tomorrow. I just had one during
<v Speaker 1>backlash tonight. Funny you should mention that actually in the
<v Speaker 1>giving anything major away here, but in that Mortal Kombat
<v Speaker 1>movie there actually is a reference. There is a Jack
<v Speaker 1>and Coke reference, and I popped. I might have been
<v Speaker 1>the only person sitting in the movie theater who popped
<v Speaker 1>for a fucking Jack and Coke reference in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of a Mortal Kombat movie Philly Town. I met RVD
<v Speaker 1>and Enzo in Vegas during WRESTLEMANI a week. Do you
<v Speaker 1>think they both should have been pushed more? I think
<v Speaker 1>RVD could have had a World Heavyweight Championship run, and
<v Speaker 1>I believe he was supposed to, and things happened behind
<v Speaker 1>the scenes and then Triple H retained. It's funny how
<v Speaker 1>that works. As far as Enzo, it just felt like
<v Speaker 1>Enzo was his own worst enemy. They're in their first
<v Speaker 1>run Oofman with sixty one months also wondering if you
<v Speaker 1>can give a birthday shout out to missus UF today.
<v Speaker 1>Jenny is a proud, solid monster girl. Oh it is.
<v Speaker 1>That's the second birthday we have, right, we have someone
<v Speaker 1>turning twenty seven and we have someone else now celebrating
<v Speaker 1>a birthday. Do you feel him, sir? And Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 1>feels you, and so do I. Happy birthday, Jenny, I
<v Speaker 1>hope it's a great one. Thank you for all the support.
<v Speaker 1>My gift to you is going to be the sound
<v Speaker 1>off later in the day tomorrow. Brett would have liked
<v Speaker 1>that note chops match. If Brett Hart was the commissioner,
<v Speaker 1>he would institute a rule all chops banned. Can you
<v Speaker 1>imagine like in a modern day wrestling promotion if you
<v Speaker 1>band all chops and all dives out of the ring.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like the wrestling business would just come to
<v Speaker 1>a standstill. They would be standing in the ring and
<v Speaker 1>they would be looking around like they don't know what
<v Speaker 1>to do with each other. There's certain rules that need
<v Speaker 1>to be implemented. Brody says, I'm in the Baltimore Hertford
<v Speaker 1>County area. If HG comes to the area, may I
<v Speaker 1>suggest the umbc Arena. Have been to a couple of
<v Speaker 1>Ring of Honors shows there and it was fun. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I've been made aware of that building. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what the capacity is, you know, first time in the
<v Speaker 1>market like that. You don't want to run a building
<v Speaker 1>that's too big. Yeah, all things are on the table.
<v Speaker 1>Link Master Ax Gunther should have retired the New Day
<v Speaker 1>and Don Stony shout out to Don Tony Wrestling, Soup
<v Speaker 1>and Spitball Media, and as always rip keV Castle. Yes, indeed,
<v Speaker 1>it was hard to believe last month was the anniversary,
<v Speaker 1>but shout out to all the boys, all ogs in
<v Speaker 1>the community. Thank you, don Stony Gumpher needs to retire
<v Speaker 1>OSCA before she calls it a career. I think Oscar
<v Speaker 1>should retire gunther If. If he's going to retire, Oscar
<v Speaker 1>shan't going down without a fight. I can promise you
<v Speaker 1>that anyway. Thank you, guys. This has been a fun stream.
<v Speaker 1>You guys killed it on the chats on the questions
<v Speaker 1>we did double be the booker. I think we booked
<v Speaker 1>some pretty good matches tonight, better than Backlash again sound
<v Speaker 1>off episode nine. Oh my god, I'm actually, uh actually
<v Speaker 1>taking the under on the number of episodes I've done.
<v Speaker 1>Nine sixty two is dropping tomorrow, and I believe this
<v Speaker 1>week we have all of our usual streams. We have
<v Speaker 1>Raw the post show on Monday. We have a brand
<v Speaker 1>new episode of The Young Crown Wrestling Show on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>Oh okay, no TNT this week on Tuesday. That's what
<v Speaker 1>it is. There's no Tuesday Night Titans, but I believe
<v Speaker 1>we are bumping it to Thursday, so the initial still work.
<v Speaker 1>I think this week it's Thursday Night Titans. Dynamite post
<v Speaker 1>show smacked out all the usual stuff, so it's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be a loaded week. Hope you all joined me for it.
<v Speaker 1>Be well, stay safe, hit that like button on your
<v Speaker 1>way out, and I'll see you back here for more
<v Speaker 1>SoundOff live on YouTube very soon. Until then, take care, guys,
