<v Speaker 1>Jared, you, Katie, and Josh six one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I got a little story for you guys.
<v Speaker 3>We don't really let our kids do a lot of sleepovers,
<v Speaker 3>never really have.
<v Speaker 2>Were you like that with baby Nana? Does she do
<v Speaker 2>a lot of sleepovers?
<v Speaker 4>I mean she had the specific kids that I really
<v Speaker 4>liked that I would allow to come over a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, we weren't that house. We I tried really hard
<v Speaker 4>not to be that house.
<v Speaker 2>We're the same.
<v Speaker 3>There was like, there's definitely one family that we're totally
<v Speaker 3>cool with, but other than that, it's like we really
<v Speaker 3>had We haven't had the kids do sleepovers basically at all.
<v Speaker 3>But now that my son's going into high school, we're
<v Speaker 3>kind of like we've got to loosen the belt a
<v Speaker 3>little bit, you know, and give him a little bit
<v Speaker 3>more freedom. So he had a sleepover this weekend, a
<v Speaker 3>little group of middle school boys will soon to be
<v Speaker 3>high school boys, having a sleepover, And he came home
<v Speaker 3>the next day just completely exhausted.
<v Speaker 2>I mean they were up the entire night.
<v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, you have seen as they should, right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>all hopped up on Dorito's and.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, a mountain do it to you.
<v Speaker 2>It's comrade kind of night.
<v Speaker 3>But he started telling us what they did, and it
<v Speaker 3>led to, uh, it led to a sit down, a conversation.
<v Speaker 1>You have to have a talk.
<v Speaker 3>We had to have a talk about what's appropriate during sleepovers.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, what did they do?
<v Speaker 2>My brain is racking up what I did as a teenage.
<v Speaker 2>We all know what we did, but this one was unique.
<v Speaker 2>I'll give you just what they did.
<v Speaker 3>They The stuff that was fine was they had like
<v Speaker 3>airsoft gun battles, you know with the little the little
<v Speaker 3>puff darts you know they were.
<v Speaker 2>That was awesome, that's fun. What else did they do?
<v Speaker 3>This one was so so this wasn't the conversation. But
<v Speaker 3>I've told you guys in my neighborhood they do the
<v Speaker 3>dumpster day dumpster weekends.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so they bring dumpsters in.
<v Speaker 3>And everybody can just dump all their crap into the
<v Speaker 3>dumpsters and then the HUA takes them off.
<v Speaker 2>It's a good opportunity to get rid of a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of stuff.
<v Speaker 3>So they went out like late at night and got
<v Speaker 3>in all the dumpsters and pulled all sorts stuff out
<v Speaker 3>and brought it back to this kid's house.
<v Speaker 1>That's dangerous.
<v Speaker 3>It's so dangerous because you could slice your leg open
<v Speaker 3>or something in there. Yeah, they had Like the best
<v Speaker 3>part was they found an old scooter in one of
<v Speaker 3>them and an old like fifty inch TV, and so
<v Speaker 3>they put the TV on the scooter and was like
<v Speaker 3>zipping around the neighborhood with a big random TV. And like,
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, this is awesome. That's fun boy stuff. That's
<v Speaker 3>fun boys stuff. That's fun going into high school boys stuff.
<v Speaker 3>The kid that he stayed at the house, actually he
<v Speaker 3>reminds me of a character in a movie. This kid
<v Speaker 3>goes out constantly just dumpster dives and brings stuff home,
<v Speaker 3>disassembles it makes new things, you know.
<v Speaker 2>Reads like he had a blowtorch in.
<v Speaker 1>His bedroom from sin or.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, he reminds me of a kid who's like the
<v Speaker 3>scientist at home with a garage full of stuff.
<v Speaker 2>Super creative kids.
<v Speaker 3>So like for me, I'm like, this is awesome because
<v Speaker 3>you're out doing something, you're being creative, you're learning how
<v Speaker 3>to weld the torch in the bedroom.
<v Speaker 4>I'm sorry, I mean a drawlne it's not It's fine.
<v Speaker 3>The thing we had to sit down and have a
<v Speaker 3>conversation about though, as we said, reading, don't go into
<v Speaker 3>storm drains. You cannot go into storm drains because I
<v Speaker 3>guess they went out like at three in the morning
<v Speaker 3>and they were climbing into storm drains. Yeah, and I
<v Speaker 3>was like, you know what, that's probably not the best idea.
<v Speaker 2>That's a little dangerous, that's a little too too far
<v Speaker 2>past the line.
<v Speaker 3>And we're not talking like a big round drainage thing
<v Speaker 3>that like goes into like a lake or something like that.
<v Speaker 3>We're talking like the ones on the ground with the grates,
<v Speaker 3>you know, yeah, like lift up. It's very penny wise, yes,
<v Speaker 3>And there was multiple pictures and luckily he's a smart kid.
<v Speaker 3>He's like honestly, I didn't go into him, but he
<v Speaker 3>was showing us pictures of him and the other buddies
<v Speaker 3>in the storm drain, like peeking out, like acting all creepy.
<v Speaker 2>So we had to have just a quick sit down.
<v Speaker 3>It's like, you know what, playing in the storm drains
<v Speaker 3>probably not the best idea.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe find a different place to play next time.
<v Speaker 3>You don't know if you can fall down in there,
<v Speaker 3>if there's animals.
<v Speaker 1>Stephen King's yet it might be time.
<v Speaker 3>Well what I immediately thought, because my dad was career
<v Speaker 3>fire chief fire service for fifty years, I was like,
<v Speaker 3>it might be time to sit down and have a
<v Speaker 3>talk with grandpa.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah about maybe what they found over the years.
<v Speaker 3>If you get in a storm drain in storm drains, exactly,
<v Speaker 3>you need to ask Grandpa to really put together like
<v Speaker 3>a PowerPoint presentation.
<v Speaker 1>No, what do the kids call them? Slides?
<v Speaker 4>Slid Grandpa needs to put together some slides for kiddo
<v Speaker 4>to sit down and watch for real.
<v Speaker 2>So, yeah, we were okay with everything.
<v Speaker 3>They went out slept on a trampoline they had, you know,
<v Speaker 3>but that was the only red flag. It was like,
<v Speaker 3>we should probably talk to our son about storm drains.
<v Speaker 3>I think I would have rather had them looking at
<v Speaker 3>pictures of girls and stuff storm drains right period.
<v Speaker 2>He just didn't tell you that part. Parenting sucks. It's
<v Speaker 2>also quite comical, isn't it.
<v Speaker 1>I Mean there's that part too.
<v Speaker 3>I made a joke about making love with potato salad
<v Speaker 3>or something like that.
<v Speaker 2>Uh off the air.
<v Speaker 3>Katie's like, oh, I would have made love to some
<v Speaker 3>food this week, and I'll tell you that much right now.
<v Speaker 4>But I was doing the opposite of a dilemma because
<v Speaker 4>I'm telling you shout out to Eloge Gardens, because taste
<v Speaker 4>of Eloge was everything I wanted it to be, and
<v Speaker 4>then some I guess they do this every year where
<v Speaker 4>they have a bunch of chefs. I believe over thirty
<v Speaker 4>chefs were on site serving up some amazing food.
<v Speaker 1>Chef I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>We might have been in the back actually making some
<v Speaker 4>amazing ravioli.
<v Speaker 1>Because there was an Italian zone.
<v Speaker 4>They had like seven different cuisine zones and then each
<v Speaker 4>zone had like a little menu for you to choose from.
<v Speaker 4>And so my favorite by far was the Cajun and
<v Speaker 4>that's because it was shrimp and crab cakes and hush.
<v Speaker 1>Puppies all those.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, but yeah, they didn't have crawdads on the many time.
<v Speaker 1>What they did have.
<v Speaker 4>It was funny because the Cajun zone was all the
<v Speaker 4>way in the back, so we kind of are game
<v Speaker 4>plan going in.
<v Speaker 1>I went with a friend of mine and we each
<v Speaker 1>had five tastings.
<v Speaker 4>So you get to choose five tastings from all the
<v Speaker 4>cuisine zones. That's part of your ticket, right, But they
<v Speaker 4>are good size serving, so when you think you get
<v Speaker 4>five plates of food is essentially what you get for
<v Speaker 4>this price.
<v Speaker 1>And it was so good, but.
<v Speaker 4>We wanted to make our way through Elogist to see
<v Speaker 4>what they had first before we really anything, right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>So the last one we went to was the Cajun One,
<v Speaker 4>and they had the shrimp and sausage gumbo and the
<v Speaker 4>big crabcake sliders with the hush puppies and the old
<v Speaker 4>bay fries, and we were both just so excited.
<v Speaker 1>We're like, Okay, I think this is it. I think
<v Speaker 1>this can stop now, this is where we're going.
<v Speaker 2>Please.
<v Speaker 4>So then we get into the line, and that was
<v Speaker 4>the thing is it was so busy, like there are
<v Speaker 4>so many people checking this out, which was awesome. It
<v Speaker 4>was great that this had so much feedback. But we're
<v Speaker 4>standing in this line and we are confused as to
<v Speaker 4>here's the food line, here's the beverage line. So we're
<v Speaker 4>standing in the beverage line waiting to get our waters,
<v Speaker 4>and we order our waters and we wait, and then
<v Speaker 4>we realize we were supposed to order our food in
<v Speaker 4>that long line as well, and so we were waiting
<v Speaker 4>so hungry to get this shrimp and sausage gumbo and
<v Speaker 4>then we didn't. All we got was waters, and we
<v Speaker 4>were just kind of standing there like I guess it's fine,
<v Speaker 4>you know. So then we made our way back to
<v Speaker 4>the Mediterranean zone, got some chips and hummus. We made
<v Speaker 4>our way to the Italian spot again to get some tiramasou,
<v Speaker 4>and then we made our way back to the sausage gumbo.
<v Speaker 4>But I'm so glad it worked out that way because
<v Speaker 4>they gave us the biggest helping of sausage gumbo with
<v Speaker 4>shrimp that you could ever imagine, and that filled us
<v Speaker 4>up real quick. So I'm actually glad it worked out
<v Speaker 4>the way it did, because when I went into this place,
<v Speaker 4>I was like, I don't know, I five plays of
<v Speaker 4>food is gonna do it for me?
<v Speaker 3>Like legitimate, little snack sized samples.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they know that this is not.
<v Speaker 2>Gonna be enough. I can.
<v Speaker 1>I left so stuffed.
<v Speaker 3>I saw your first of all, I saw a lot
<v Speaker 3>of pictures of you and food.
<v Speaker 1>This weekend, so many, so many.
<v Speaker 3>First thing I noticed is the individual sized taramacu. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Looked money so good. I am such a slut for teramasu.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And it was good, And.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, that looks delish.
<v Speaker 1>It was really tasty.
<v Speaker 2>Was there some sort of nacho thing that you had?
<v Speaker 1>A barbecue brisket nacho?
<v Speaker 2>I saw that. I was also like, which.
<v Speaker 4>Again, like the smokiness of that brisket and then it
<v Speaker 4>just like fell apart in your mouth.
<v Speaker 1>It was like butter like it was so and juicy.
<v Speaker 4>And then it was like, I'm a big fan of
<v Speaker 4>nachos that have the actual liquid cheese, like miss me
<v Speaker 4>with the melted shread and liquid I need that.
<v Speaker 2>You need petroleum based product.
<v Speaker 1>Liquid gold that comes from a pan.
<v Speaker 3>Is what after it's a pump that's baby.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my goodness. So I'm a fan of that liquid
<v Speaker 1>gold though, and so when when.
<v Speaker 4>I saw that that's what they were serving, I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 4>you're not messing around, you know.
<v Speaker 1>It was so good.
<v Speaker 4>And then that crab cake was just so and then
<v Speaker 4>they served it with two little hush puppies alongside you
<v Speaker 4>wish I was so.
<v Speaker 2>My second observation from all of your pictures is like
<v Speaker 2>pure joy.
<v Speaker 1>Did you get it? Did you get the pure joy
<v Speaker 1>coming back in my face?
<v Speaker 2>Yes?
<v Speaker 3>You know we I think we all kind of battle
<v Speaker 3>a little bit in life with finding pleasure in certain
<v Speaker 3>things and satisfaction in things, and we're always searching for it, right,
<v Speaker 3>like nothing ever satisfies us. And I will tell you
<v Speaker 3>that every time I see you with food, it's like
<v Speaker 3>you don't mean no, man, there's that spark and a
<v Speaker 3>look in your face that I'm like, I gotta grasp
<v Speaker 3>that somehow in my life because it is such a
<v Speaker 3>pleasure to see you and food picks. I'm I know
<v Speaker 3>it's kind of weird. It's a weird thing to say
<v Speaker 3>it's not, but it is. It is the definition of
<v Speaker 3>pure joy. Like you found it. I tell you you've
<v Speaker 3>You've found what everybody is looking for in liquid cheese.
