<v Speaker 1>did it on the fly. You know what, It's fine.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's great and I appreciate you doing that.
<v Speaker 2>You know what, I don't have to people just get
<v Speaker 2>mad because that's right. You do something that they wish
<v Speaker 2>they could.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's the thing.
<v Speaker 2>That's the that's the anger.
<v Speaker 1>I could do that.
<v Speaker 2>Like you know you just.
<v Speaker 1>Made did you have your eyes open like when you
<v Speaker 1>were just because you did it? You have your headphones on?
<v Speaker 1>I justo it turned out great. We love our cutesy videos.
<v Speaker 1>So follow us on the instagrams Jeremy Katy Josh and
<v Speaker 1>then if you're over sixty, you can follow us on
<v Speaker 1>Facebook Jeremy Katy Josh on Facebook. Speaking of social and
<v Speaker 1>mess around with your phone and stuff. You know what
<v Speaker 1>I did for about four hours yesterday. What I went
<v Speaker 1>through my wife's phone. I got us each new phones,
<v Speaker 1>new iPhones. And what I did is is I went
<v Speaker 1>on to the iCloud and I pulled off all the
<v Speaker 1>pictures and I just generally take them all off so
<v Speaker 1>they're not sitting in the cloud, and I put them
<v Speaker 1>on an actual hard drive just so they're mine. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not their photos just aren't out there their mind. They're
<v Speaker 1>on a hard drive. So I do that when we
<v Speaker 1>go and flip phones out, so I pull everything off
<v Speaker 1>and it makes everything transfer a lot faster. I sat
<v Speaker 1>there for four hours and I had to download and
<v Speaker 1>pull off fifteen thousand pictures and videos. Oh yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm not even joking. She was at fifteen thousand stuff
<v Speaker 1>going back to twenty twenty three.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I'm sure there was like three versions of each picture.
<v Speaker 1>Well, we had never talk about it. I had to
<v Speaker 1>sit my wife down and say, hey, listen, when we're
<v Speaker 1>at events, like it's cool just to go pow one picture. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's like, let's pretend like we have a film camera
<v Speaker 1>back in the day. Just take one. It'll be fine.
<v Speaker 1>Because I did go through and I mean multiples from
<v Speaker 1>like like you know, your birthday party or something. You're
<v Speaker 1>sitting there with the cake and it's.
<v Speaker 2>Like twenty pictures of the one same thing. Yes, everybody
<v Speaker 2>does it.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody does it.
<v Speaker 2>Do you want to? Everyone's a professional photographer, and you
<v Speaker 2>need to pick the best picture of all the ones
<v Speaker 2>you took. Correct, Like, that's our thought process, but you're right,
<v Speaker 2>one picture will suffice.
<v Speaker 1>One is fine usually, Okay, So we are in trying
<v Speaker 1>to be in that mode now because I completely dumped
<v Speaker 1>my phone too. I'm going to tell you how great
<v Speaker 1>it is to open up your photo album and have
<v Speaker 1>like no pictures in there and nothing. It's there's something
<v Speaker 1>about it that's incredibly freeing that you're not looking at
<v Speaker 1>fifteen thousand things and you're trying to sift through them.
<v Speaker 1>There's something really special about it. But we talked last night.
<v Speaker 1>We're like, we're gonna try to to you know, retro's
<v Speaker 1>big right now, Vintage is big right now. Let's pretend
<v Speaker 1>like we have twenty four shots or forty eight shots
<v Speaker 1>or whatever it used to be in the old cameras.
<v Speaker 1>You know, twenty four I think, and just take one
<v Speaker 1>and be fine with it, or if you do two
<v Speaker 1>or three, like immediately like a few minutes later, go
<v Speaker 1>in and blow out the other two that you don't need,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and just keep one.
<v Speaker 2>Pick the best one.
<v Speaker 1>Pick the best one the others. Yes, And I think
<v Speaker 1>that'll do a lot for your sanity and storage space,
<v Speaker 1>for God's sake. Her excuse was though, she's like, I
<v Speaker 1>gotta take multiple pictures. She's like one because it's either
<v Speaker 1>you making faces, yeah, things which I do. Yeah, my
<v Speaker 1>daughter is so me like she's like or our daughter.
<v Speaker 1>She's like because she makes a face in every single picture.
<v Speaker 2>See, yes, so that's what it is.
<v Speaker 1>I love it because she is so like me. We
<v Speaker 1>were trying to take pictures of her at her little continuation.
<v Speaker 1>Every picture was like I was like, damn, I love
<v Speaker 1>that kid. All right over there be okay, yeah, she's yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 1>you can't talk. He was coughing up alonger. We thought
<v Speaker 1>we were gonna lose you for a second. But you
<v Speaker 1>hate that when you know you're going back on the
<v Speaker 1>air and all of a sudden, you get like a
<v Speaker 1>tickle or you choke. That's our worst night, Mary, you guys,
<v Speaker 1>And then.
<v Speaker 2>Does anybody ever be like this is it?
<v Speaker 1>We were hoping this cross now you were breathing. It's fine.
<v Speaker 1>Growing backlash against having phones out at every concert, club,
<v Speaker 1>date night, dinner, a whole story about it. This morning,
<v Speaker 1>I've been perusing it. Phone free experiences are up about
<v Speaker 1>six hundred percent globally with multiple venues and live events,
<v Speaker 1>leaning into the idea that the real flex right now
<v Speaker 1>is to go out and be able to either not
<v Speaker 1>have your phone or lock it up for at least
<v Speaker 1>two hours and just be in the moment. Man. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>And this caught my eye because this weekend, Nick Knack
<v Speaker 1>and I had a little date night and we went
<v Speaker 1>out and saw Polly Shore at the Comedy Works in
<v Speaker 1>Landmark And this is the first time it's ever happened
<v Speaker 1>to me. But we went rolling up to hand them
<v Speaker 1>our tickets to get in, and they had the little
<v Speaker 1>pouches there for your phones.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, they take them at the comedy shows and they.
<v Speaker 1>Make you lock them up. And it was full panic
<v Speaker 1>mode for a minute. We're like, oh, what if our
<v Speaker 1>kids need to get ahold of us? You know what
<v Speaker 1>if there's something with grandma because she's watching them. And
<v Speaker 1>the guy's like, well, if it starts vibrating in the bag,
<v Speaker 1>come on out and we'll take it out for you.
<v Speaker 1>But they made us shove our phones in there, and
<v Speaker 1>you're smart watches.
<v Speaker 2>Oh your watches too. I was wondering because I was like, well,
<v Speaker 2>your watch will tell you if you got a text you.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, they make you get rid of your watch too,
<v Speaker 1>because I guess you can sit and record the show
<v Speaker 1>on your watch as well. Which I get this too,
<v Speaker 1>because I mean, the comedy works and you got a
<v Speaker 1>stand up comedian and they want to bring people in
<v Speaker 1>and they don't want you posting everything on YouTube.
<v Speaker 2>Totally get it. Totally get it.
<v Speaker 1>And there was multiple times we were sitting there waiting
<v Speaker 1>for the show to start, we were talking to this
<v Speaker 1>couple next to us, which side note, we're great people.
<v Speaker 1>We ordered shots with them. As a matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>Cinnamon toast crunch good flavor, Hortshota and fireball mixed together.
<v Speaker 1>Hells tore Hells to the s. But yeah, there's a
<v Speaker 1>few moments where like, hey, we need to look something up.
<v Speaker 1>Oh we can't, or oh we let's take a picture
<v Speaker 1>of this. Oh we can't. Yeah, like how will we
<v Speaker 1>remember that all four of us took shots in this moment? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you guys just have to take a picture. In your mind. Yeah, exactly,
<v Speaker 1>but it was kind of nice just to have them
<v Speaker 1>walked up and you didn't have to worry about fiddling
<v Speaker 1>with your phone.
<v Speaker 2>I have to say, like, even something I did this weekend,
<v Speaker 2>I went on a hike with a friend, and I've
<v Speaker 2>been on this hike a million times, but something about
<v Speaker 2>it made me just want to be in the moment.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't take any hikes of this the whole time
<v Speaker 2>we were together, and typically I'm out there, you know,
<v Speaker 2>in my hiking mentality, ready to make a video or something.
<v Speaker 2>But I really wanted to just enjoy the moment. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm with you, like sometime are they're distracting.
<v Speaker 1>And uh it was. And I'm glad because the joh
<v Speaker 1>with Paulie was just so dang good. It was so good.
<v Speaker 1>I left my butt off through the entire thing, the
<v Speaker 1>two comics beforehand to filthy, yeah, but fantastic. Paulie was
<v Speaker 1>a little dirty too. I wasn't really expecting that much,
<v Speaker 1>give me, but but yeah, I wasn't, but I kind
<v Speaker 1>of was.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like that was his whole stick back in the day,
<v Speaker 2>Like he was that you know, stoner surfer.
<v Speaker 1>Dude, which I think I'm starting to realize. I think
<v Speaker 1>that's a lot. It's an act. Oh yeah, there's a
<v Speaker 1>lot of acting behind that.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, I'm sure.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, you guys. It was just so good.
<v Speaker 1>And there was moments where he like forgot what he
<v Speaker 1>was saying, and then he'd mess with people in the
<v Speaker 1>front row and then he'd take his mic and like
<v Speaker 1>rub it on their head and stuff, and it was
<v Speaker 1>just stupid little things like that. You just you're in
<v Speaker 1>the moment, you're just cracking up. But it was really,
<v Speaker 1>really good. If he ever comes back to town, highly
<v Speaker 1>recommend going to see him at the Comedy Works. It
<v Speaker 1>was just phenomenal. Now, I will tell you. We got
<v Speaker 1>there a little early. We went down to the Landmark location.
<v Speaker 1>We're like, let's just grab dinner while we're down there.
<v Speaker 1>And so I hadn't been down there in a long time,
<v Speaker 1>and so I didn't really know much about the restaurants
<v Speaker 1>down there. But right across the way is a little
<v Speaker 1>it's like an Asian fusion. I guess they called it's Jing.
<v Speaker 1>Have you ever been to Jing? I've heard of Jing? Okay, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it was really good. So you walk in the front
<v Speaker 1>door there and they got two sides to the jing.
<v Speaker 1>You got your restaurant's side on the left, and then
<v Speaker 1>you got the lounge on the right. Oh, it's date night.
<v Speaker 1>And she's like, you want to take a peek at
<v Speaker 1>the lounge and see if you like it. I was like,
<v Speaker 1>hell's yeah, I want to take a peek at the lounge.
<v Speaker 1>So I pop my head in and it's like dark,
<v Speaker 1>dark walls, dark ceiling, dark furniture, little candles going, and
<v Speaker 1>you're like in a dark club. You know, it's very romantic,
<v Speaker 1>beautiful bar, subtle lighting here and there. I was like,
<v Speaker 1>we want the lounge. So we go over to the
<v Speaker 1>lounge and sit down for date night with my beautiful wife.
<v Speaker 1>As we sit down, start looking around, Josh, do not
<v Speaker 1>take your girlfriend to Jing? Why every waitress in the
<v Speaker 1>lounge side is approximately twenty two years old in the
<v Speaker 1>tightest and shortest black dresses ever. Hello, Jermy, I chose poorly.
<v Speaker 1>I should have chose the restaurant side. You got it.
<v Speaker 1>That's when you go. It was dark the lounge side,
<v Speaker 1>and they were all blending when I peeked my head
<v Speaker 1>in in those tiny black dresses. We had dinner there
<v Speaker 1>for the next hour, and I was fighting.
<v Speaker 2>It's up here chair.
<v Speaker 1>I have never made so much eye contact with my
<v Speaker 1>wife ever, but my peripheral vision was on duty. Oh no,
<v Speaker 1>it's right, especially when they drop off food at the
<v Speaker 1>table next to you and they're bending over to drop
<v Speaker 1>off the food. Eye contact, eye contact.
<v Speaker 2>I cared.
<v Speaker 1>You know how many se tiles there are on the.
<v Speaker 2>Ceiling up here?
<v Speaker 1>No? I know what color my wife's eyes are. I
<v Speaker 1>know every hair was you know in place?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, don't take your girlfriend to jing Josh, and don't
<v Speaker 1>go on the lounge. We are in this morning after
<v Speaker 1>a fun weekend at the Denver Fan x Spo. We
<v Speaker 1>went home and washed all the nerd off and we
<v Speaker 1>are here ready to have some fun this week. What
<v Speaker 1>a great experience that was.
<v Speaker 2>That was so much fun.
<v Speaker 1>We love the fan Xpo. Such kill where people watching.
<v Speaker 2>The amount of work that people put into their costumes
<v Speaker 2>for that like that has to take them all year
<v Speaker 2>to plan.
<v Speaker 1>I mean some of them elaborate, right.
<v Speaker 2>What I just have to say, huge fan of the furries.
<v Speaker 2>I know they get a hard time, they get a
<v Speaker 2>bad rap sometimes, but I just wanted to pet them.
<v Speaker 2>So I was in love with the furries. I was like,
<v Speaker 2>you guys really go all out like I love your tails,
<v Speaker 2>your hair looks great. Hot, nice shiny coat. So hot. Though.
<v Speaker 2>That's the thing is it was a little warm in
<v Speaker 2>that convention center at times. And I just can't imagine
<v Speaker 2>some of the costumes how warm it was underneath them.
<v Speaker 1>I saw a lot of sweating, a lot of smells.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't want to say.
<v Speaker 2>But everywhere it was a door event that happened a
<v Speaker 2>lot of difference. Yeah, it just happens.
<v Speaker 1>It makes sure, wetty costumes and the fudge table.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but a fun time nonetheless, like.
<v Speaker 1>We had a blast. I mean that's the nerd stuff
<v Speaker 1>for me, is I mean, it's right up my own.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. But and even all just the celebrities that we saw,
<v Speaker 2>and we were like trying to sneak pictures and.
<v Speaker 1>They kept getting in my kitchen because I was trying
<v Speaker 1>to take pictures and we had press badges, okay, so
<v Speaker 1>it felt like I would be in the clear, and man,
<v Speaker 1>they still got in my face, no pictures, no picks,
<v Speaker 1>and then I'd be like press press badge, and a
<v Speaker 1>few of them were like, oh never mind, go ahead,
<v Speaker 1>And then these uh celebrities, they're like agents and stuff
<v Speaker 1>would come over and they're like, no pictures.
<v Speaker 2>No studio reps.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the studio. I'm like press, press press, and they're like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't care. Yeah, no pictures of Ralph Maccio, although
<v Speaker 1>I snuck a we have so many pictures.
<v Speaker 2>Matthew Lillard was there, Skip Algy al Rich was there, Bryce,
<v Speaker 2>Alice Howard. Oh my gosh.
<v Speaker 1>It was like David du Coveney.
<v Speaker 2>David do Coveny The X Files back in the day
<v Speaker 2>was like my favorite show. So to see him that
<v Speaker 2>clar even though we didn't really talk to him or anything,
<v Speaker 2>but just to be in their presence was.
<v Speaker 1>Kind of star struck a little bit. Yeah, only complain
<v Speaker 1>is the lack of he Man there was. I was
<v Speaker 1>expecting more he Man, especially with the movie coming out
<v Speaker 1>here at the end of the week, which side note
<v Speaker 1>I'm pierced about because I have family coming into town
<v Speaker 1>and now you can't even I've been planning to go
<v Speaker 1>see he Man for a year on opening weekend and
<v Speaker 1>I've got family in town jam packed from Friday morning
<v Speaker 1>until we get back to work on Monday. I will
<v Speaker 1>have zero time to go see he Man this weekend.
<v Speaker 1>I hope they appreciate.
<v Speaker 2>The sacrifice you made there because I talked about that
<v Speaker 2>and I was like, you can't just like sneak away
<v Speaker 2>for three hours and go do your no no, And
<v Speaker 2>you said absolutely, is the family.
<v Speaker 1>Coming in town. Nicole is like, please don't leave me.
<v Speaker 2>So so you're doing something.
<v Speaker 1>Yes. So now I'm gonna have to avoid spoilers and
<v Speaker 1>stuff all weekend. Law it's gonna be hard and it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be horrible. But anyway, we did find the he
<v Speaker 1>Man Booth for the movie coming out, and I did press.
<v Speaker 1>I held up my press pass and I did get
<v Speaker 1>behind the table there at the he Man Booth and
<v Speaker 1>get some pictures, you know with the cardboard cutouts. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you had the biggest cinema people. Oh yeah, it was awesome.
<v Speaker 2>He was like a child like, yeah, my dear, moo
<v Speaker 2>up to that thing. He said, take my.
<v Speaker 1>Picture like that, Take my picture like that holding the sword.
<v Speaker 2>There was three people taking pictures of him so he
<v Speaker 2>could get all the.
<v Speaker 1>Angles, good skeleton behind him. Yes, yeah, there's pictures of
<v Speaker 1>that on our socials if you want to go check
<v Speaker 1>it out in my he Man T shirt.
<v Speaker 2>I know.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't my happy place. And then they gave me
<v Speaker 1>free stuff.
<v Speaker 2>They did They saw how happy you were about they were.
<v Speaker 2>They saw how happy you were. They gave me free
<v Speaker 2>stuff I gave you, Yes, they did.
<v Speaker 1>This guy so happy. Were everybody like, bless his heart.
<v Speaker 1>There was a lot of blessed his heart.
<v Speaker 2>But they were also excited about your excitement because these
<v Speaker 2>were people who were there to promote the movie. So
<v Speaker 2>when they saw you coming, they were like, Oh, this
<v Speaker 2>is the guy.
<v Speaker 1>We got a middle aged man in the he Man
<v Speaker 1>T shirt coming in hot. Get your cameras out.
<v Speaker 2>Waiting for him, the whole time.
<v Speaker 1>Waiting for you, sir. Give this guy some free merchant.
<v Speaker 1>Get him the hell out of here, all right. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>we had a heck of a weekend thanks to everyone
<v Speaker 1>down at the Denver Fan Expo.
