Director Christopher Nolan talks to The Film Programme’s Francine Stock about his new Batman film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in an interview recorded before the recent violence at a screening of the film. Nolan discusses new villain Bane, played by Tom Hardy, the politics of the Batman films, and how ‘the makers of a film don’t endorse a character’s behaviour’.
