<v Speaker 1>We are back a little earlier than usual because Raw
<v Speaker 1>was overseas. I believe this is the end of the
<v Speaker 1>European tour, so after this week we were back to normal.
<v Speaker 2>But Raw was in jolly old England.
<v Speaker 1>They were in London at the two the final Raw
<v Speaker 1>before Night of Champions, which I guess technically means the
<v Speaker 1>international tour is not over because they will be in
<v Speaker 1>Riot on Saturday.
<v Speaker 2>So what am I talking about?
<v Speaker 1>Oh my goodness, we got a one o'clock start for
<v Speaker 1>a Night of Champions on Saturday. But tonight or today,
<v Speaker 1>It feels weird to say tonight, I guess for some
<v Speaker 1>of you watching it would be tonight. This was the
<v Speaker 1>go home episode of Raw. Before the show a pretty
<v Speaker 1>pretty boring show for the most part. It was a
<v Speaker 1>newsworthy show really for three things. Mainly it was newsworthy.
<v Speaker 1>There were things that happened here on this show, but
<v Speaker 1>I just couldn't shake this feeling of boredom for most
<v Speaker 1>of it. And typically when they're overseas, especially in the UK,
<v Speaker 1>they're very lively, right, you guys were a very lively,
<v Speaker 1>energetic bunch more than we are here in the States typically,
<v Speaker 1>And for the most part that wasn't really the case
<v Speaker 1>for large chunks of the show, which tells you that
<v Speaker 1>there were a lot of people in the audience who
<v Speaker 1>were very disinterested in what they were watching. But we
<v Speaker 1>had another Vision main event, so I won't fault you
<v Speaker 1>if that didn't get your gears going. Another Vision main
<v Speaker 1>event here on this show. But it paid off with
<v Speaker 1>brand new Tag Team Champions being crowned. They put their
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles on the line against the Street Profits.
<v Speaker 1>This was after cameos from Joe Hendry. Yes he lives,
<v Speaker 1>He's alive. Joe Hendry was back briefly literally on the
<v Speaker 1>show for maybe twenty seconds, and then Seth Rollins came
<v Speaker 1>out and he also made an appearance and he provided
<v Speaker 1>the assists, and in the end we had new Tag
<v Speaker 1>Team Champions four times over the Street Profits five if
<v Speaker 1>you want to count their run. From NXT. Credit to
<v Speaker 1>Angelo Dawkins. I will say that man has clearly put
<v Speaker 1>the work in. Just he is in the best shave
<v Speaker 1>that I have seen him in. He's probably in the
<v Speaker 1>best shave that he's been in since he came to
<v Speaker 1>the Performance Center. And he came to the PC a
<v Speaker 1>long time ago, probably over a decade ago, but he
<v Speaker 1>put the work in and he's looking pretty good these days.
<v Speaker 1>So we got new tag team champions Crown that, we
<v Speaker 1>had the return of Joe Hendry, and we got Lyra
<v Speaker 1>Valkyria turning heel on Bailey, which is not something that
<v Speaker 1>I was expecting. I don't know that Lyra Valkyria has
<v Speaker 1>ever been heel in her career, so this is going
<v Speaker 1>to be something different, and I don't know if she
<v Speaker 1>can pull it off. I don't know that I trust
<v Speaker 1>WWE Frankly to allow her to pull it off because
<v Speaker 1>we've seen heel turns that have flopped in this company before.
<v Speaker 1>I could think of a major one last year that
<v Speaker 1>also flopped. But it is something different, you know. Lyra
<v Speaker 1>has just sort of been spinning her wheel doing not
<v Speaker 1>much of anything for a while now. So I don't
<v Speaker 1>hate it. I'm not against it. I just question whether
<v Speaker 1>or not she can be successful because she's a great babyface,
<v Speaker 1>you know, But there are great babyfaces that go on
<v Speaker 1>to become great heels. Maybe she'll be one of those people.
<v Speaker 1>One person who we did not get on the show
<v Speaker 1>tonight was Brocklesner. I thought maybe there was a chance,
<v Speaker 1>there was still a chance that brock could show up,
<v Speaker 1>he could take Obafemi out of the King.
<v Speaker 2>Of the Ring. I knew.
<v Speaker 1>I knew going in that it was unlikely, but there
<v Speaker 1>was no brock Lesnar appearance. We did, however, get one
<v Speaker 1>final stare down showdown, face to face between the finalists
<v Speaker 1>and the King of the Ring and the Queen of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring. So we had Obafemi, we had jay usso Ye,
<v Speaker 1>and then we had Lived Morgan, who thankfully is okay.
<v Speaker 1>We had a little scare the other day would live,
<v Speaker 1>but she's fine. Live Morgan and EO Sky they are
<v Speaker 1>going to be in the finals of the Queen of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring. They were on the show as well. Chad
<v Speaker 1>Gable was on the show. He was there to apologize
<v Speaker 1>to the Alpha Academy Maxine dupri though was not willing
<v Speaker 1>to accept his apology. We'll talk about what happened there.
<v Speaker 1>We even got a cameo here from Solo's Socoa. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Lions today, what's going on? Shout out to Lions Today
<v Speaker 1>and everybody else who's able to join here because the
<v Speaker 1>stream is at five o'clock in the evening, so there
<v Speaker 1>are people in other countries who normally can't join live
<v Speaker 1>who hopefully will be able to drop by. Even Solo
<v Speaker 1>Secoa dropped by here on the show today. He made
<v Speaker 1>a cameo. Couldn't help this show though. Again I thought
<v Speaker 1>for the most part it was pretty flat. But we're
<v Speaker 1>going to go through everything that happened here. This is
<v Speaker 1>your raw on Netflix review. It is Monday, June twenty second,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six. I am the solemn monster. Hit that
<v Speaker 1>like button and subscribe buttons. Super chats are opened. You
<v Speaker 1>want to drop one, I will be reading them here
<v Speaker 1>little bit. We are going to spin the wheel and
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how this is going to go because
<v Speaker 1>we're at a weird time. We're not going to have
<v Speaker 1>as many people as usual. We can hope for a
<v Speaker 1>low number. Maybe if we land low enough, we could
<v Speaker 1>hit the goal. What do you think, let's find out. Ooh,
<v Speaker 1>that's definitely not a low number. That is definitely not
<v Speaker 1>a low number. Hey, Frank, Puerto Rico is listening. He says,
<v Speaker 1>shout out to Puerto Rico. We had a hell of
<v Speaker 1>a parade here in the city about a week ago. Well,
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred likes is going to be impossible unless we
<v Speaker 1>get more people in here. But don't give up hope.
<v Speaker 1>You never know. That's the goal here. If we want
<v Speaker 1>to be the booker later seven hundred. All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>go ahead and start from the top here. Will work
<v Speaker 1>our way through this show. And then once we're done here,
<v Speaker 1>I got some final prep work to do for the
<v Speaker 1>Uncrowned Wrestling Show, which is going to be dropping tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>If you miss the sound off episode nine sixty eight.
<v Speaker 1>Number two wrestling podcast episodes. Everywhere in the country an
<v Speaker 1>Apple podcasts in the wrestling category, and there were a
<v Speaker 1>lot of wrestling shows. Number two is the SoundOff from yesterday,
<v Speaker 1>So thank you for that, but go back and check
<v Speaker 1>that out when we're done here if you have not.
<v Speaker 2>Yet listened to yesterday's episode. It's pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>Covered a lot of ground there. Opa Femi covers a
<v Speaker 1>lot of ground as well. When he takes a step
<v Speaker 1>when he's walking down the aisle, when he's walking down
<v Speaker 1>the street, he definitely takes up a lot of space.
<v Speaker 1>He's a big guy, and he strutted down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>He was not in his wrestling attire. He looked like
<v Speaker 1>he was ready to hit the club. He got in
<v Speaker 1>the ring, fans were just going nuts for him. They
<v Speaker 1>were chanting his name for a very long time and
<v Speaker 1>to the point where he told them, okay, settle down,
<v Speaker 1>settle down. Obah said that he's been backed by Destiny
<v Speaker 1>since he was born. She's been very good to him.
<v Speaker 1>He credited Destiny for all of his accomplishments. He said
<v Speaker 1>it would play into this weekend when he becomes the
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring. He said, if he wins, he
<v Speaker 1>gets to challenge the champion of his choosing, which is
<v Speaker 1>the first time I believe that they have actually come
<v Speaker 1>right out and said that in those words. We could
<v Speaker 1>pretty much surmise that from the fact that Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>was telling Jay Usso to go after the other championship live,
<v Speaker 1>Morgan's been talking about how she wants it all. She's
<v Speaker 1>going to win the other title from Rio Ripley. But
<v Speaker 1>I think this may have been the first time we've
<v Speaker 1>heard one of the wrestlers actually go out there and
<v Speaker 1>say that we get to pick the champion of our choosing.
<v Speaker 1>So he questioned whether he should go after the WWE championship,
<v Speaker 1>and the reaction from the crowd was very was very tepid.
<v Speaker 1>He was very like, eh, or should he go after
<v Speaker 1>the World Heavyweight championship, and everybody cheered because that's the
<v Speaker 1>title they want, that's the man they want him to
<v Speaker 1>go after. They want to see Oba Femi against Roman Reigns.
<v Speaker 1>So jay USO's entrance music interrupted and he made his
<v Speaker 1>way yeating through the crowd all the way down to
<v Speaker 1>the ring. Crowd wanted him to run it back. Oba said,
<v Speaker 1>if you're thinking about running it back, I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>put an end to that right now.
<v Speaker 2>And see that was a mistake.
<v Speaker 1>I would not have had him say that unless you
<v Speaker 1>went off and said that on his own, because literally
<v Speaker 1>two seconds later, jay Usso ran it back anyway, and
<v Speaker 1>Oba just stood there and he looked like a gooff.
<v Speaker 1>If you can stand there and say that you're not
<v Speaker 1>going to run it back, I'm gonna make.
<v Speaker 2>Sure of that.
<v Speaker 1>And then two seconds later, you know, the the guy
<v Speaker 1>is on the ropes and he's yeating again and you
<v Speaker 1>don't go over and destroy him. It makes you look
<v Speaker 1>like a you know, a freaking loser, like you know,
<v Speaker 1>you can't back up your words. So I wouldn't have
<v Speaker 1>said that. But anyway, so Jay said, you must have
<v Speaker 1>forgotten I'm him. He added that he was counted out
<v Speaker 1>the people counted him out when he won the Royal Rumble.
<v Speaker 1>They counted him out when he won the World Heavyweight Championship.
<v Speaker 1>They counted him out when he entered the King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring. They're counting out the possibility that he could
<v Speaker 1>win King of the Ring right. Every step of the way,
<v Speaker 1>people have counted him out. So Jay said that he
<v Speaker 1>would climb this mountain on Saturday. He guaranteed that he
<v Speaker 1>would become world champion.
<v Speaker 2>He declared.
<v Speaker 1>This was Oba's warning shot, and Oba wondered if that
<v Speaker 1>meant that Jay would be shooting for.
<v Speaker 2>Real that night of night.
<v Speaker 1>The prospect of jay Usso shooting on Obafemi is just
<v Speaker 1>this hilarious visual. To me, it is not something that
<v Speaker 1>I would recommend. I will say that if Obafemi and
<v Speaker 1>jay Uso are in the ring together and jay Uso
<v Speaker 1>begins shooting on Obafemi, it's going to be a bad
<v Speaker 1>night for jay Uso. So that's something I would avoid.
<v Speaker 1>But Oba said, look, he warned him not to miss,
<v Speaker 1>don't miss. You're gonna take your shot. Don't miss or
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to destroy you. And even if you don't miss,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to destroy you. Anyway, he said, Jay isn't
<v Speaker 1>the family member he's really worried about, and Oba told
<v Speaker 1>him take your stupid bullets and give them to your cousin.
<v Speaker 1>The fans like that, So it was pretty well established
<v Speaker 1>here in this segment. What the fans want to see here,
<v Speaker 1>the match that they want to see.
<v Speaker 2>I guess.
<v Speaker 1>The only question is do we actually get it at
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slim or is this something they're going to hold
<v Speaker 1>off on for Saudi Mania next year, because that really
<v Speaker 1>is the big match, right Roman reigns Oba Femi in
<v Speaker 1>terms of putting him in the ring, which somebody knew.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously the bigger match would be Roman in the Rock,
<v Speaker 1>but Roman and Oba is one of the biggest matches
<v Speaker 1>they could do. I just don't know that they want
<v Speaker 1>to be giving it away. This soon still a possibility
<v Speaker 1>he could win and he could go on to pick
<v Speaker 1>Roman at Summer Slim. Beyond that, though very basic segment,
<v Speaker 1>one thing I did notice when again Jay he comes
<v Speaker 1>through the crowd and he's yeating and he's got to
<v Speaker 1>run it back and he's yeating and he's all fired up. Right,
<v Speaker 1>He's very intense on these promos, and he was so winded.
<v Speaker 1>Was he gassed himself out before he even started speaking.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, get this man an oxygen mask. That
<v Speaker 1>was very noticeable. Otherwise this was a very basic segment.
<v Speaker 1>We go backstage. Adam Pierce is on the phone. He
<v Speaker 1>runs into La Knight, who accuses him of being on
<v Speaker 1>the phone with the bloodline. Jimmy Usso walks up. He
<v Speaker 1>asks La Knight what his problem is. He tried to
<v Speaker 1>help him last week, but La hit him with a chair.
<v Speaker 1>So they start yelling, and you know, Knight said he
<v Speaker 1>didn't like the fact that Jimmy or Pierce. I think
<v Speaker 1>it was suggested they have a match tonight. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to be La Night against Jimmy USSO and La Knight.
<v Speaker 1>He didn't like that idea. He said, that's a terrible idea.
<v Speaker 1>I got a better idea. How about tonight it's La
<v Speaker 1>Night against or Jimmy.
<v Speaker 2>Use I don't even know which one it is.
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy USO and Jimmy said, that's what he just said,
<v Speaker 1>and La says, well, I don't hear what he says.
<v Speaker 1>I don't pay attention to what he says. So we
<v Speaker 1>had an impromtu match made for later in the show.
<v Speaker 1>Then it was a homecoming for Page.
<v Speaker 2>They were in London.
<v Speaker 1>They were in the UK, and it was Paige and
<v Speaker 1>Brie Bella defending the women's tag team titles against Bailey
<v Speaker 1>and Lyra Valkyria. Now, before the match, Jackie Redman interviewed
<v Speaker 1>Lyra and Bailey in the back. Lyra was all excited,
<v Speaker 1>she was all amped up. This match was her idea.
<v Speaker 1>This match is a match that she got herself. And
<v Speaker 1>she said they've had no luck all year. It was
<v Speaker 1>all supposed to happen tonight and Bailey says that they've
<v Speaker 1>been the best tag team in this division for a
<v Speaker 1>long time. Lyra got the match for them. Tonight's the night.
<v Speaker 1>So once the bell rang, immediately Lyra hit Page with
<v Speaker 1>an inziguri and a dropkick. Later on, Bailey dropped Brie
<v Speaker 1>with her belly to Bailey's superlaw. Page though young Brie
<v Speaker 1>out of the ring to break up the pin, so
<v Speaker 1>the challengers they got heat on Brie for a while.
<v Speaker 1>During one of the breaks, Brie came back with a dropkick.
<v Speaker 1>Some tags were made. Page came in. She went wild
<v Speaker 1>for a little bit. She went for the page turner.
<v Speaker 1>Lyra countered into a night wing for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Bailey went for the Bailly to belly again on Brie,
<v Speaker 1>but she sent her out to the floor instead, and
<v Speaker 1>Valkyria hit a fisherman's buster on Page and it looked
<v Speaker 1>like she was trying for a second one Page, though,
<v Speaker 1>countered into the rampage and spiked her down on her
<v Speaker 1>head and she got the pin to retain the title.
<v Speaker 1>So bri Bella and Page are still your Women's tag
<v Speaker 1>team champions. But the big story here wasn't the match,
<v Speaker 1>it was what happened after the match. So the match
<v Speaker 1>is over. Bailey goes over to check online. Now you
<v Speaker 1>know something bad's gonna happen here because they're still in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. And now they turn the music down and
<v Speaker 1>Bailey goes over to check on Lyra. Lyra gets up,
<v Speaker 1>she helps her to her feet. Now they wanted you
<v Speaker 1>to believe that Bailey was going to turn on her.
<v Speaker 1>They swerved you, though, because instead Lyra shoved Bailey hard
<v Speaker 1>into the middle rope and she just lost it. She
<v Speaker 1>mounted Bailey and she's slapping her and hitting her over
<v Speaker 1>and over and over again. She throws her hard into
<v Speaker 1>the middle rope on the other side of the ring
<v Speaker 1>and outcomes some officials and I don't remember if Adam
<v Speaker 1>Pearce was out there, but I know Davari was out
<v Speaker 1>there ken done, so they came out to try to
<v Speaker 1>break things up. Lyra broke free and she hit nightwing
<v Speaker 1>on Bailey because she wasn't done yet, and the fans booed,
<v Speaker 1>and so the jury is out on whether or not
<v Speaker 1>this is going to work. I don't know that anybody
<v Speaker 1>was expecting Lyra by herself to go heal. I would
<v Speaker 1>imagine there were people out there who said, Okay, I
<v Speaker 1>can see Bailey and Lyra. You know they've lost so much,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they go heel together. Li going heel on her
<v Speaker 1>own is not something I was anticipating. And I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what to expect because she's a very good babyface.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if she has it in her to
<v Speaker 1>be a great heel or at least the kind of
<v Speaker 1>heel they're going to book her as. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if it's gonna work. But the way I look at
<v Speaker 1>it is, Bailey has gone from babyface to heel to
<v Speaker 1>babyface to heel multiple times.
<v Speaker 2>So if it would have been.
<v Speaker 1>Bailey going heel a it would have been predictable. But
<v Speaker 1>b it's something we've already seen before, you know, Plus
<v Speaker 1>she had voices in her head. I don't know whatever
<v Speaker 1>happened to that, So this is something different. At least
<v Speaker 1>it's a different dynamic we'll have. Bailey is a babyface
<v Speaker 1>and Lyra is a heel. I don't know if that
<v Speaker 1>means they're going to change her music at some points
<v Speaker 1>that the fans stop doing the whooh when she comes out.
<v Speaker 1>But if they do, they'll probably downgrade it and give
<v Speaker 1>her some you know, deaf rebel trash that's worse.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, that's what we're looking at here. We're looking
<v Speaker 1>at a Lyra heel turn. Really, I mean, if you
<v Speaker 1>think about it, Lyra has been floundering for a while now.
<v Speaker 1>You know, obviously in storyline they've lost and lost and lost,
<v Speaker 1>but really since she got bounced out of the Icy
<v Speaker 1>title picture, they've had nothing for her. She's been on
<v Speaker 1>the back burner. She hasn't really been a factor on
<v Speaker 1>these shows. Maybe the heel Terran could help get her
<v Speaker 1>back into the mix. Soul Ruka, by the way, she
<v Speaker 1>is the Intercontinental champion. They just had a match recently
<v Speaker 1>she beat Lyra. Another loss. Now that Lyra's gone heel.
<v Speaker 1>Who knows, Maybe she comes back around to Soul and
<v Speaker 1>they feud over the icy title we'll see speaking of
<v Speaker 1>the intercontinental title, a title that this man should be
<v Speaker 1>competing for at summer slant angry Bird, who called her
<v Speaker 1>an angry bird.
<v Speaker 2>As Actually, I like that.
<v Speaker 1>Lyra is now an angry bird. Now where do you
<v Speaker 1>guys come up with this stuff? Chad Gable had requested
<v Speaker 1>time to speak on this show. Very important to get
<v Speaker 1>him on the show every week. Consistency this is the key.
<v Speaker 1>So I like that they're keeping him on the show
<v Speaker 1>so far every week since he's come back. He came
<v Speaker 1>out to his new AI generated rock theme song. He
<v Speaker 1>was clapping his hands like this. He was clapping his
<v Speaker 1>hands above his head. He was trying very hard to
<v Speaker 1>get the crowd into it, and they were like, eh,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they're sold on this music.
<v Speaker 2>Neither am I.
<v Speaker 1>He said that he was here for something very close
<v Speaker 1>to his heart. He said, it's been a hell of
<v Speaker 1>a month, started when he lost his mask in Mexico,
<v Speaker 1>which technically was last month. I'm sorry, excuse me, sir,
<v Speaker 1>that was technically last month. But it's been a hell
<v Speaker 1>of a month. Nonetheless, for Chad Gable, he lost his
<v Speaker 1>mask in Mexico. Gable said that he realized that he
<v Speaker 1>had lost his dignity as well and his friends. He said,
<v Speaker 1>Raymons Stereo taught him that it's never too late to apologize.
<v Speaker 1>So Gable said that he was going to call out
<v Speaker 1>a few people, and the people he wanted to call
<v Speaker 1>out were Alpha Academy, Otis, Tozawa, Maxine Dupre. They make
<v Speaker 1>their way down to the ring and they all look
<v Speaker 1>very you know, suspicious of this man and what his
<v Speaker 1>intentions are, because they were. They were abused by him
<v Speaker 1>physically and verbally. He treated them like shit. Why should
<v Speaker 1>they want to hear anything he has to say. Gable
<v Speaker 1>went down the line with all three of them singing
<v Speaker 1>their praises. He looked at Maxine, he complimented her on
<v Speaker 1>winning a singles title, something that he still has not
<v Speaker 1>been able to do. He tried to hold down Tozawa,
<v Speaker 1>who he said has the heart of a lion, and
<v Speaker 1>then he saved Otis for last, and he said, you
<v Speaker 1>know you and I we trained together at the Olympic
<v Speaker 1>Training Center, and he talked about how loyal a friend
<v Speaker 1>Otis was and Otis even he held his kids in
<v Speaker 1>his arms when they were born. And then he said
<v Speaker 1>the magic word. He said, I'm.
<v Speaker 2>Sorry to all three of them.
<v Speaker 1>And so Otis was ready to shake his hand because
<v Speaker 1>Gable put his hand out for a handshake, and Otis
<v Speaker 1>was about to accept, and Maxine stepped in front of him.
<v Speaker 2>Not so fast. Maxine took the mic. She said she.
<v Speaker 1>Knew that the fans, and she knew that Otis and
<v Speaker 1>Tozawa were ready to forgive him, but not her. She
<v Speaker 1>said that they were gonna leave Gable the way that
<v Speaker 1>he left them alone. She shoved the mic into his
<v Speaker 1>chest and she left the ring. Tozawa left the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Otis was the last one to leave. He was a
<v Speaker 1>little hesitant. He kind of looked back at Gable, but
<v Speaker 1>then he decided to go ahead and join the others.
<v Speaker 1>And that's how the segment came to an end. And
<v Speaker 1>there was a little more to Maxine's promo. I thought
<v Speaker 1>that first of all, I thought her delivery and the
<v Speaker 1>promo she cut was good. She's another one who, kind
<v Speaker 1>of like Lyra, has just been on the back burner
<v Speaker 1>for a lot while they haven't really had anything for
<v Speaker 1>her to do. We got the whole Maxine due pre
<v Speaker 1>singles push and it just kind of flamed out. But
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't mean that she can't be, you know, useful
<v Speaker 1>in another role on the show. In terms of the promo,
<v Speaker 1>I thought she cut, you know, a fine promo here. Gable,
<v Speaker 1>I thought he did well. Otis didn't say anything Tozaua.
<v Speaker 2>Didn't say anything. They just stood there and stared.
<v Speaker 1>But I mean, look, I thought as a segment it
<v Speaker 1>came off well. I could see the story they're trying
<v Speaker 1>to tell. I still feel the same way I felt
<v Speaker 1>last week. Please don't drag this out for too long,
<v Speaker 1>because I feel like the longer you associate Gable with
<v Speaker 1>this crew, because they've already established this crew is only
<v Speaker 1>at a certain level on this show, and you don't
<v Speaker 1>want Gable to be kind of stuck in that same
<v Speaker 1>spot with them because he's he's so much better, and
<v Speaker 1>you hope that they can parlay this whole triple A
<v Speaker 1>thing into something really big for him. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if that ever means a world title, but at least
<v Speaker 1>the IC title. So my only hope is that they
<v Speaker 1>don't drag this out for too long here, Maxine, though
<v Speaker 1>you know she was acting very heelish, I guess, you
<v Speaker 1>might say. But at the same time, everything she's saying
<v Speaker 1>she wasn't wrong. You know, she was one of the
<v Speaker 1>people who was verbally abused by this man. Actually might
<v Speaker 1>he might have put her in an ankle lock once
<v Speaker 1>now that I think about it. So he treated them
<v Speaker 1>like garbage, and you could understand her feeling the way
<v Speaker 1>she feels. But she's also been hanging around Austin theory.
<v Speaker 1>So I still wonder if the end goal of all
<v Speaker 1>this is for her to end up with the Vision.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if they're going to go that far
<v Speaker 1>or not. So that's just something to keep in mind here.
<v Speaker 1>At the end of all this, you know, are we
<v Speaker 1>looking at Vision Alpha Academy? Is that going to become
<v Speaker 1>a thing? At some point?
<v Speaker 2>It might?
<v Speaker 1>She may quit these guys, end up with the Vision,
<v Speaker 1>and then we get a little a match or a
<v Speaker 1>feud between them and I don't know, then Gable, what
<v Speaker 1>is gabled? Is Gable aligned with the remaining members of
<v Speaker 1>Alpha Academy to feud with the Vision? I mean, is
<v Speaker 1>that the plan here? I don't know what the plan
<v Speaker 1>should be. Is summer slim in Minneapolis, nothing with Gable
<v Speaker 1>and the Vision. The plan should be Gable and Penta
<v Speaker 1>for the Intercontinental Championship. And there was a segment later
<v Speaker 1>in the show that gives me hope that they realized
<v Speaker 1>the same thing, and that's exactly what we're gonna end
<v Speaker 1>up getting. But we'll get there a little bit later on.
<v Speaker 1>We had Dragon Lee. He went one on one with
<v Speaker 1>Ethan Page. There was a wild suicide dive here by
<v Speaker 1>Dragon Lee that knocked Paige into the announced desk and
<v Speaker 1>sent himself floating over the desk and into the barricade.
<v Speaker 1>He hit more of the desk, honestly than he hit Ethan. Paige,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, was sporting a black eye or like
<v Speaker 1>a shiner under the eye. It didn't happen on that spot.
<v Speaker 1>It happened, had to happen earlier. I just didn't see how.
<v Speaker 1>But he set up Dragon did for a styles clash,
<v Speaker 1>and Page head butted him low and then finished him
<v Speaker 1>off with the ego plex for the wind. A solid
<v Speaker 1>little match here.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it was.
<v Speaker 1>Really nothing special, you know, it was a wasn't terribly exciting,
<v Speaker 1>but it was fine.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it was fine. It's a win for Ethan Page.
<v Speaker 2>I like Ethan Page.
<v Speaker 1>I want to see big things for him on this
<v Speaker 1>show at some point. It's not happening right now, but
<v Speaker 1>feeding him wins to me is more important than feeding
<v Speaker 1>wins to Dragonly. They mentioned the WWE Unreal Season three
<v Speaker 1>is coming, Oh boy, season three. Yes, it's coming on
<v Speaker 1>July twenty first, and in this season they will be
<v Speaker 1>covering the retirement the end of John Cena's run.
<v Speaker 2>They mentioned also the return.
<v Speaker 1>Of a former WWE superstar.
<v Speaker 2>I assume that means Page. They didn't mention who it was, so.
<v Speaker 1>Then Michael Cole and Corey Graves they pitched it over
<v Speaker 1>to a video package covering all of the drama from
<v Speaker 1>the last few months between the Vision and the Street
<v Speaker 1>Profits who would be in the main event.
<v Speaker 2>Later on here in the show.
<v Speaker 1>Jackie Redman was backstage with the Vision. She was backstage
<v Speaker 1>with Austin Theory, Logan, Paul, and bron Breaker because the
<v Speaker 1>other members of the Vision are injured. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>that we will ever have the Vision back to full strength.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like one person will come back, another person
<v Speaker 1>will get hurt, then that person will leave and the
<v Speaker 1>cycle continues. So they're missing Paul Hayman. Still, they're missing
<v Speaker 1>Bronson Reid. By the way, I gave Angelo Dawkins a
<v Speaker 1>lot of credit earlier for getting in the best shape
<v Speaker 1>of his career.
<v Speaker 2>That much.
<v Speaker 1>You've been following Bronton Reid on social media. Best shape
<v Speaker 1>I've ever seen him in, going back to his days
<v Speaker 1>even pre NXT. He's going to be a beast when
<v Speaker 1>he got he might be smaller, but he's still going
<v Speaker 1>to be a beast. When he gets back. He may
<v Speaker 1>be faster. Theory said that everyone is after the vision
<v Speaker 1>seth Rollins is going to be taken care of in
<v Speaker 1>a steel cage on Saturday. The street profits. They don't
<v Speaker 1>know sacrifice Logan Paul says that he wants to take
<v Speaker 1>his brace off and beat them up with it. He's
<v Speaker 1>healed faster than any human being in history. He would
<v Speaker 1>put all of his money on the vision. And then
<v Speaker 1>bron Breaker said he was gonna rip STEP's head off
<v Speaker 1>in their cage match. So they showed At this point,
<v Speaker 1>they cut back to the crowd and they showed someone
<v Speaker 1>some boxer from ZUFA. They're trying to make Zufa boxing
<v Speaker 1>a thing because they own it, So they showed a
<v Speaker 1>ZUFA boxer in the crowd. Nobody gave a shit. They
<v Speaker 1>showed Actually, there was another boxer, a retired boxer that
<v Speaker 1>they showed that got a pop, This guy Derek Chesora.
<v Speaker 1>They showed Michael Page from UFC. He's a welterweight. They
<v Speaker 1>showed him in the crowd. But then they showed Jason
<v Speaker 1>Statham in the crowd. A real star, an actual celebrity,
<v Speaker 1>was in attendance tonight on this show.
<v Speaker 2>He was there.
<v Speaker 1>It looked like he was there with his kids. He
<v Speaker 1>was having a good time. He's got a new movie
<v Speaker 1>coming up, by the way, called Mutiny. I saw the
<v Speaker 1>trailer for it when I went to the movies a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks ago. It looks like a Honestly, it looks
<v Speaker 1>like a version of like Diehard two, except it's on
<v Speaker 1>a ship instead of a plane, and he just kills
<v Speaker 1>a whole bunch of people, which is all I really
<v Speaker 1>want out of adjacent state the movie. Jackie Redman was
<v Speaker 1>in the ring to bring out Eo Sky, one half
<v Speaker 1>of the Queen of the Ring Final this Saturday.
<v Speaker 2>Io got in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>She said she's extremely grateful to have gotten to the finals.
<v Speaker 1>She said she was going to beat liv Morgan to
<v Speaker 1>become Queen of the Ring. This is a very basic
<v Speaker 1>provo here. Until Liv Morgan came out and Liv was
<v Speaker 1>looking okay, there was an injury scare. They had a
<v Speaker 1>live event in Birmingham last night. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>a triple threat match, and a lot of people online
<v Speaker 1>on social media gave soul Ruka a lot of shit
<v Speaker 1>because it was a springboard and the way she landed,
<v Speaker 1>she landed on Live's foot and it looked like Live
<v Speaker 1>may have suffered an injury and the matt ended shortly thereafter,
<v Speaker 1>and I guess it was bad enough that sol Ruka
<v Speaker 1>has gone dark on her ex. I think her tweets
<v Speaker 1>now are protected and you can't see anything. I only
<v Speaker 1>saw some of it, and it was bad enough. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I can only imagine the kind of shit that she
<v Speaker 1>was getting from this one clip. This one clip. You know,
<v Speaker 1>people talk about it, Oh, we need more house shows.
<v Speaker 1>Wwe needs more house shows. The talent needs to get
<v Speaker 1>more reps, which, by the way, is one hundred percent true.
<v Speaker 2>There should be more house shows.
<v Speaker 1>They should have the ability to go out there and
<v Speaker 1>wrestle and get and especially the people they call it
<v Speaker 1>from NXT to work with the more experienced veterans and
<v Speaker 1>just get better and hone their craft. Absolutely I agree
<v Speaker 1>with that, but can you imagine they start doing house
<v Speaker 1>shows more, We're gonna see more clips and the slightest
<v Speaker 1>little botch or something goes wrong, and the kind of
<v Speaker 1>shit that these people are going to have to take
<v Speaker 1>on social media is unbelievable. So anyway, for the time being,
<v Speaker 1>sol Ruka is off of X and honestly probably not
<v Speaker 1>a bad idea. So Liv talked about winning Queen of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring as she was walking down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>She got into the ring, she said that then she
<v Speaker 1>would go on to Summer Slam and she would beat
<v Speaker 1>EO's friend Rhea Ripley to win the other championship. EO
<v Speaker 1>asked if Liv was sure the crown would fit on
<v Speaker 1>her big head. I like that, I like that line,
<v Speaker 1>I chuckled. Then she yelled at her in Japanese. Morgan
<v Speaker 1>punched her in the face. Liv ended up being put
<v Speaker 1>down though with a springboard dropkick, and that was it
<v Speaker 1>as basic as it gets. Same thing with Oba and
<v Speaker 1>Jay at the beginning of the show. There really wasn't
<v Speaker 1>a whole lot to this. At least we didn't have
<v Speaker 1>to sit through two contract signings. It's the best I
<v Speaker 1>could say about it. Actually, the best thing I could
<v Speaker 1>say about it is that it's good to see live
<v Speaker 1>healthy because it did look bad. That video clip looked
<v Speaker 1>bad and boy, and can you imagine She's in the
<v Speaker 1>finals of the Queen of the Ring this weekend. Like,
<v Speaker 1>even if it was like a sprained ankle or something, right,
<v Speaker 1>you take a couple of weeks off depending on how
<v Speaker 1>bad the sprain is. She doesn't have a couple of weeks.
<v Speaker 1>You know, She's got fourys fucking five days. She's got
<v Speaker 1>to fly to Saudi and be in the finals of
<v Speaker 1>this tournament, let alone whatever she's gonna do a SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>It would have been a disaster if she was injured,
<v Speaker 1>so thankfully she's not, and she looks to be okay.
<v Speaker 1>Now we go backstage and Jimmy and Jay were back there.
<v Speaker 1>Jay was asking Jimmy, do you need help tonight against
<v Speaker 1>La Knight, and Jimmy says he has Night handled. Jay
<v Speaker 1>needs to just focus on Oba Femi. Jacob fought too,
<v Speaker 1>showed up and he let them know I don't answer
<v Speaker 1>to you because they wanted some answers out of him
<v Speaker 1>about Solo. So Coed Jay was on edge about Solo.
<v Speaker 1>You know he could very well show up tonight, which
<v Speaker 1>in fact he did. Jacob said he sent the message
<v Speaker 1>to Solo on SmackDown. Now we wait said if Solo
<v Speaker 1>c loss is the line, he won't like what he
<v Speaker 1>finds elsewhere. Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough they entered dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen's lair his science lab, want to know where their
<v Speaker 1>money is. Apparently they gave him one hundred thousand dollars
<v Speaker 1>last week to take care of Obafemi and they did
<v Speaker 1>not do that, and dan Housen said he spent it
<v Speaker 1>all on his latest science experiment. He spent one hundred
<v Speaker 1>thousand dollars in a week. He burned through one hundred
<v Speaker 1>grand in seven days. He is the Floyd Mayweather of WWE.
<v Speaker 1>So they threatened to steal his experiment. Dan Housen then
<v Speaker 1>puts a curse on JD McDonough. Dom says that McDonough
<v Speaker 1>is uncursable, and McDonough says yeah, And he turns around
<v Speaker 1>and whatever the science experiment was, he was sitting in
<v Speaker 1>like a plastic bin and he touches it and he
<v Speaker 1>gets electrocuted and he falls to the ground comedy, comedy.
<v Speaker 1>This is I like Dan Hausen, but these segments, these
<v Speaker 1>segments aren't doing it for me. We had La Night
<v Speaker 1>against Jimmy USO and this is where the crowd really died,
<v Speaker 1>I would say, for the first time here on this show.
<v Speaker 1>This match went about twelve minutes. It felt twice as long.
<v Speaker 1>This was a very dull match. Jimmy supplex Knight on
<v Speaker 1>the aprin At one point, back inside, he went for
<v Speaker 1>a running hip attack. Night moved out of the way
<v Speaker 1>and Night made a comeback. He ran though into a
<v Speaker 1>Samoan drop. Jimmy was on the ropes. Night was setting
<v Speaker 1>up for that leap to the top for the superplex,
<v Speaker 1>but he stopped. He was on the middle rope and
<v Speaker 1>he's staring at something in the crowd, and the something
<v Speaker 1>that he is staring at is one Solo Socoa. I
<v Speaker 1>love how Solo Socoa has color coordinated for the show.
<v Speaker 1>He came out here. He was wearing a red blazer.
<v Speaker 1>He had the red dress Pan's on. That distraction allowed
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy to shove Night off the ropes and Knight acted
<v Speaker 1>like he tweaked his knee on the way down, so
<v Speaker 1>the referee went to go ten to him. Solo quickly
<v Speaker 1>scurries up the steps. He's on the apron. Jimmy is still,
<v Speaker 1>you know, sitting on the top rope, and Solo just
<v Speaker 1>looks at him, and Jimmy sees him, and Solo smiles
<v Speaker 1>at him, and then he spikes him right in the throat.
<v Speaker 1>And Knight saw what happened, and he looks surprised. He
<v Speaker 1>was taken off. God, he was taken aback by what
<v Speaker 1>he just witnessed, but he took advantage of it. He
<v Speaker 1>dropped Jimmy with a BFT and it was very alarming
<v Speaker 1>because that's his finishing move. Night Light came out, he
<v Speaker 1>got a great reaction. He's very popular, but he hit
<v Speaker 1>his finishing move here. Nobody reacted. It was silent. He
<v Speaker 1>hit the BFT to silence the stone cold stunner it
<v Speaker 1>is not and he covers him and he gets the
<v Speaker 1>pin and wouldn't you know, La Knight won a fucking match. Now,
<v Speaker 1>of course, when La Knight wins a match, which is rare,
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't really win. Solo Socoa won the match for him.
<v Speaker 1>But you know what, if you're La Night at this point,
<v Speaker 1>you just take the dub. You don't get too many
<v Speaker 1>of them, especially over members of the Bloodline take the
<v Speaker 1>dub and just be happy with it. But it's just
<v Speaker 1>funny to me that even when he wins, it's somebody
<v Speaker 1>else who really gets to take the credit for it.
<v Speaker 1>As far as Solo Sekoa doing what he did, you know,
<v Speaker 1>when SmackDown was over last Friday, my thought was, it
<v Speaker 1>started to feel to me like Solo may end up
<v Speaker 1>linking back up with the Bloodline at some he still could,
<v Speaker 1>but what they did on this show obviously was the
<v Speaker 1>opposite of that. There was no hint of that whatsoever here.
<v Speaker 1>So if he is in the end going to end
<v Speaker 1>up just kind of realigning with Roman and his crew
<v Speaker 1>and the MFTs are going to go the way of
<v Speaker 1>the Dodo, it's going to be a while before we
<v Speaker 1>get there. But again, I just I can't bring myself
<v Speaker 1>to get excited about this stuff, you know. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I'll compliment Solo on his you know, his wardrobe. Guy
<v Speaker 1>knows how to dress up nicely. I wish I could
<v Speaker 1>sit here and tell you that this story excites me,
<v Speaker 1>but it doesn't. It really doesn't. I feel like I've
<v Speaker 1>been watching the same story play out for about three
<v Speaker 1>and a half years now. Then you got La Night
<v Speaker 1>out there hitting his finish to fucking crickets because nobody
<v Speaker 1>gives a shit after a break. Jackie was in the back.
<v Speaker 1>She caught up with Bailey with an ice pack on
<v Speaker 1>her neck in the trainer's room. She said, did you
<v Speaker 1>see this coming? And Bailey said that I have nothing
<v Speaker 1>to say and she walked off. Elsewhere, Raquel Rodriguez was
<v Speaker 1>talking to Roxanne Perez and she was venting. She's sick
<v Speaker 1>and tired of letting every opportunity just slip through her fingers.
<v Speaker 1>Roxanne said that it should have been you and Live
<v Speaker 1>in the finals of the Queen of the Ring. But hey,
<v Speaker 1>at least we could be happy for Live. So Dom
<v Speaker 1>and JD show up then Live Morgan walks in. She's
<v Speaker 1>very upset over what happened with EO earlier on. Raquel
<v Speaker 1>cuts her off, though, and says, hey, can you not
<v Speaker 1>see that none of us are doing so hot? She said,
<v Speaker 1>Dom and j D they lost a lot of money.
<v Speaker 1>JD got electrocuted. Roxanne and her thought that it was
<v Speaker 1>going to be you know, me and you. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to be rock you know, Raquel and Live in the
<v Speaker 1>finals of the Queen of the Ring. Liv said, look,
<v Speaker 1>everything's going to be okay. I'm going to win the
<v Speaker 1>Queen of the Ring. She said, Raquel, you're going to
<v Speaker 1>take the intercontinental title off of soul Ruka. She said,
<v Speaker 1>Dom and j D, you need to focus on getting
<v Speaker 1>the men's intercontinental title from Penta. So Roxanne's hearing this,
<v Speaker 1>and Roxanne pipes up and she says, uh, excuse me,
<v Speaker 1>but what about me? And before Live could answer, McDonough said,
<v Speaker 1>I think I need to go to medical and Live
<v Speaker 1>said yes, yes, yes, we have to get him to
<v Speaker 1>medical quickly.
<v Speaker 2>Off they go.
<v Speaker 1>Earlier today, Corey Graves sat down. Why are WWE wrestlers
<v Speaker 1>so depressed? Now, says mind the Gap? Why are they depressed?
<v Speaker 2>OLG?
<v Speaker 1>I wonder, Well, let's see Johnny Gargano on SmackDown. All
<v Speaker 1>I need to tell you is that he's on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's enough of a reason to be depressed.
<v Speaker 1>So Johnny Gargano is planking every week. Sammy's aim was
<v Speaker 1>depressed for an extended period of time on that show
<v Speaker 1>as well on this show. I mean j D McDonagh
<v Speaker 1>just got electrocuted multiple people. In fact, over the last
<v Speaker 1>few weeks on Ron SmackDown have been electrocuted by Dan Hausen.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, what's not to get depressed over? Have you
<v Speaker 1>watched these television shows? By the way, they're pretty depressing.

<v Speaker 1>Harmony right now to see for yourself at wis dot
<v Speaker 1>com slash Harmony. That's wis dot com slash harmony. But
<v Speaker 1>earlier today, Corey Graves had the chance to sit down
<v Speaker 1>with Seth Rollins, and Seth said, things have not gone
<v Speaker 1>according to my plan. I don't know if I'd be
<v Speaker 1>sitting here without the street profits help. Corey suggested that
<v Speaker 1>Rollins might not walk out of Saturday's show at all.
<v Speaker 1>You know he's in that cage match with bron Breaker,
<v Speaker 1>and Seth says, look, I know a lot can go
<v Speaker 1>wrong in this situation, but I'm an expert at getting
<v Speaker 1>out of problems. The last time that I won the
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight Championship, it wasn't in the most upstanding way.
<v Speaker 1>It didn't tell me though a lot about who I am.
<v Speaker 1>This cage match is going to tell the world who
<v Speaker 1>I am. And if I can beat bron Breaker, I
<v Speaker 1>can put the vision behind me. Then I can get
<v Speaker 1>to the second part of my mission, which is getting
<v Speaker 1>back to championship that I never lost. So he put
<v Speaker 1>his focus here squarely on winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
<v Speaker 1>And if the idea is to get him there to
<v Speaker 1>a match at Roman, whether it's Summer Slam or whatever,
<v Speaker 1>he can't be losing to bron Breaker. He really shouldn't be.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I think he's going to go over and
<v Speaker 1>win the cage match on Saturday, because bron Breaker is
<v Speaker 1>not being primed for a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime soon.
<v Speaker 1>Seth rollins though he feels a lot closer to that
<v Speaker 1>than Breaker is, And if that's the case, then he
<v Speaker 1>should be winning that match. And if that's not the case,
<v Speaker 1>then bron Breaker should win. But I just don't see
<v Speaker 1>that happening. Chad Gable was in the back talking to
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pierce. He said that he's been speaking to Penta.
<v Speaker 1>That's what Gable said. I said, ooh, you have my attention, Penta.
<v Speaker 1>You say the Intercontinental champion. He was quickly interrupted I
<v Speaker 1>live Morgan Dom and JD McDonough, and Dom said Penta.
<v Speaker 1>You're not getting Penta before we do. And he wanted
<v Speaker 1>an apology from Chad because he's the king of the
<v Speaker 1>luchadors and you disrespected me worst of all. And Gable said,
<v Speaker 1>you're the one that sent me down to Mexico in
<v Speaker 1>the first place. Said that's what I get for listening
<v Speaker 1>to a dumbass. But if you want an apology, I
<v Speaker 1>could try to, you know, give you the chance he
<v Speaker 1>could beat one out of me, So Dom suggested JD instead,
<v Speaker 1>and Adam Pierce looked over at McDonough who's standing there
<v Speaker 1>twitching in the background. He looks at McDonough and he questions, like,
<v Speaker 1>are you okay with that? If I make this match,
<v Speaker 1>assuming you get cleared by medical? Like are you are
<v Speaker 1>you okay with that? And McDonough so stupid McDonough asks,
<v Speaker 1>come again, doctor. He puts his hand out to shake
<v Speaker 1>the doctor's hand. He's putting his hand out to Adam Pierce,
<v Speaker 1>thinking that he's a doctor, and Pierce orders him to
<v Speaker 1>medical right away.
<v Speaker 2>Here again.
<v Speaker 1>McDonogh was twitching in the background throughout all of this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think he's doing well. I'm I'm concerned for
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you what though, if medical clears him to
<v Speaker 1>wrestle next week after what we saw from him tonight,
<v Speaker 1>they should get their licenses revoked. They'll be in the
<v Speaker 1>same camp as the aw Medical team. We got to
<v Speaker 1>the main event. We're already up to the main event.
<v Speaker 1>Here Street Profits challenging the Vision bron Breaker Austin Theory
<v Speaker 1>for the World Tag Team Championships. Logan Paul was out
<v Speaker 1>there in the Vision's corner. Logan Paul got ejected early
<v Speaker 1>in the match when he placed Theory's foot on the
<v Speaker 1>bottom rope for a rope break after a pen attempt.
<v Speaker 1>The referee saw this, so he ejected him. The Street
<v Speaker 1>Profits they try for a blockbuster Breaker, they'll crotched Montese Ford.
<v Speaker 1>They sent the Vision to the floor. Breaker came off
<v Speaker 1>the apron with his flying clothes line that sent Dawkins
<v Speaker 1>into the desk. It sent Breaker over the desk. Then
<v Speaker 1>he leaped up on top of the desk and he
<v Speaker 1>posed as they went to the second commercial break here
<v Speaker 1>of this match. At this point, after the break, we
<v Speaker 1>got random chance of CM punk from the crowd in London.
<v Speaker 1>In case you were wondering how into this match these
<v Speaker 1>fans were. They were so disinterested that they decided to
<v Speaker 1>launch into chants of cmpunk. They were begging for something, anything, Please,
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is not here. Can we at least get
<v Speaker 1>cmpunk on this show?
<v Speaker 2>The answer is no. Neither of them were there.
<v Speaker 1>And the fans, I should say, the fans were awfully
<v Speaker 1>quiet for I would say a good chunk of this match.
<v Speaker 1>And again, these UK crowds, especially these main events, they're
<v Speaker 1>usually loud, they're energetic, you know, they're singing, they're having fun,
<v Speaker 1>and not really the case here for most of this match. Look,
<v Speaker 1>when you're bored, you're bored. When you're bored, you're bored. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I had to listen to what was it there was?
<v Speaker 1>I didn't listen to the podcast they did, but the
<v Speaker 1>clip was floating around on social media after last week's
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite of a Meltzer and Alvarez from their radio show,
<v Speaker 1>and I think it was Meltzer who was like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the crowd, it's a bad crowd. Must have
<v Speaker 1>been a bad crowd because they weren't really reacting to
<v Speaker 1>stuff last week. Oh it must be the crowd's fault.
<v Speaker 1>Bad crowd, right, And I just I laugh when I
<v Speaker 1>hear that, because at the end of the day, right now,
<v Speaker 1>can there be bad crowd, Sure, but I think by
<v Speaker 1>and large, if you have a crowd, and an aw
<v Speaker 1>is a great example of this, you have the sicko crowd, right,
<v Speaker 1>they go nuts for great wrestling, it almost doesn't even
<v Speaker 1>matter where they are. But every now and then you'll
<v Speaker 1>get a crowd that's quiet. They're not making a lot
<v Speaker 1>of noise, And it makes me laugh when people's first
<v Speaker 1>instinct in that situation is to blame the fans, well,
<v Speaker 1>the crowd. Yes, I don't know what these people were,
<v Speaker 1>you know, so so depressed about here?
<v Speaker 2>Why they were so quiet?
<v Speaker 1>We got a great show, the crowd sucked, right, But
<v Speaker 1>maybe the crowd just wasn't interested in what the fuck
<v Speaker 1>they were watching. And that's the case with most of
<v Speaker 1>these WWE crowds when we talk about man, the crowd
<v Speaker 1>was fucking quiet. I could hear the fucking air conditioner vents.
<v Speaker 1>And the question you should be asking is why what
<v Speaker 1>didn't work here? That the crowd was so quiet for this?
<v Speaker 1>Instead of blaming the crowd and saying, well, this crowd sucked.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe the show sucks. Maybe stop blaming the fans and
<v Speaker 1>take a look at what you're seeing on TV and
<v Speaker 1>try to figure out why the fans are not into
<v Speaker 1>what they're seeing.
<v Speaker 2>That's just a suggestion, I just put that out there.
<v Speaker 1>Both teams made tags. Montes hit a super kick and
<v Speaker 1>a standing moon salt for a near fall. Theory hit
<v Speaker 1>a rolling clothesline on Ford. Breaker came in with a
<v Speaker 1>German supplex to Montes for a near fall. Breaker was
<v Speaker 1>measuring forward for a spear, but he ate a kick instead,
<v Speaker 1>and Breaker came back with a power slam, and the
<v Speaker 1>Vision got a top rope bulldog out of an electric chair,
<v Speaker 1>right out of the Steiners playbook, but in this case
<v Speaker 1>it was only good for a near fall. So Breaker
<v Speaker 1>tossed the top half of the ring steps into the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Angelo Dawkins sent Breaker into the ring post, and now
<v Speaker 1>here comes Logan Paul, who was already ejected. But Logan Paul,
<v Speaker 1>he's slithering his way back out through the crowd, and
<v Speaker 1>he's got the brass knuckles, and he hands Theory the
<v Speaker 1>brass knuckles. When all of a sudden, we hear Joe
<v Speaker 1>Hendry's theme music We have not seen Joe Hendry since
<v Speaker 1>Austin Theory took him out. I don't know how long
<v Speaker 1>ago it fell, like two months ago, it was at
<v Speaker 1>least six weeks ago. He has been persona non grata.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he has just been gone as Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 1>This was his big return here and they saved it
<v Speaker 1>for London and it was very It was very weird,
<v Speaker 1>and I get that this is the Joe Hendry thing.
<v Speaker 2>He just appears. So he was on the apron.
<v Speaker 1>They zoom in right, but he's like coming out to
<v Speaker 1>cut off Logan Paul, who's over on the side where
<v Speaker 1>the announcers are. But first he's got to do the
<v Speaker 1>pose on the apron, so they cut to him on
<v Speaker 1>the apron. Logan Paul has to pretend it doesn't even
<v Speaker 1>see him yet. Then he jumps down from the apron.
<v Speaker 1>He comes around and he chases Logan through the fans
<v Speaker 1>into the crowd. That's the last we saw either of
<v Speaker 1>these guys for the rest of the show. But he
<v Speaker 1>left the brass Knuts Logan did behind in the ring
<v Speaker 1>and Theory spots them and he starts to crawl towards them.
<v Speaker 1>Now we hear burn it down and here comes Seth
<v Speaker 1>Rollins right, So bron Breaker hears this, and bron Breaker
<v Speaker 1>goes over by the aisle away. He's gonna cut him
<v Speaker 1>off as soon as he comes out. He's waiting for
<v Speaker 1>Seth to come out. Seth, though, doesn't come out down
<v Speaker 1>the aisle. He came out through the crowd on the
<v Speaker 1>opposite side of the ring. He reaches in, he grabs
<v Speaker 1>then away from Theory and he wallops him right in
<v Speaker 1>the head with the brass knucks, and the referee didn't
<v Speaker 1>see this. Now Breaker turns around, he sees Rollins on
<v Speaker 1>the other side of the ring. Rolins basically waves to him.
<v Speaker 1>Rolins retreats back into the crowd. Bron Breaker he runs
<v Speaker 1>after him and in one leap he just jumps over
<v Speaker 1>the barricade. Honestly, the most impressive thing I saw on
<v Speaker 1>the entire show tonight was that bron Breaker jump over
<v Speaker 1>the barricade into the crowd. That was the most impressive
<v Speaker 1>thing I saw all show. And so at that point,
<v Speaker 1>Austin Theory is on dream Street because he just got
<v Speaker 1>walloped with the brass knucks, and that paved the way
<v Speaker 1>for Angelo Dawkins to drop him with a sky high,
<v Speaker 1>and then Montese Ford came off from the heavens with
<v Speaker 1>the big Frog splash and he got the pinfall to
<v Speaker 1>win the tag team titles. The Vision no longer the
<v Speaker 1>World tag Team Champion. The crowd did light up there
<v Speaker 1>at the end, at the very end, we had a
<v Speaker 1>couple of cameos and then we got the title change,
<v Speaker 1>So of course they popped for the title change. But
<v Speaker 1>again I just can't help but think like the time
<v Speaker 1>to do this title change would have been Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event last month, because as I recall, like first
<v Speaker 1>of all, that was also the main event of that show.
<v Speaker 1>That was the match where Logan got hurt. But the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was pretty hot, as I recall, for that, Matt
<v Speaker 1>like they were into it. They were ready to see
<v Speaker 1>those titles change hands. And I guess it wouldn't have
<v Speaker 1>worked out as well, you know, in terms of the
<v Speaker 1>Seth story, right, because he was still kind of on
<v Speaker 1>the rocks with the Street profits they were not on
<v Speaker 1>the same page, so story wise, maybe it would have
<v Speaker 1>worked better there. But I just think in terms of
<v Speaker 1>doing the title change, that was the time to do it,
<v Speaker 1>and you would have had a hotter crowd for it. It
<v Speaker 1>would have felt like a bigger deal. And also that's,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Saturday Night's main event. It's a step up
<v Speaker 1>above Raw. So it was a special show. I just
<v Speaker 1>think in retrospect and looking at how into the crowd
<v Speaker 1>or into it the crowd was on that show as
<v Speaker 1>compared to this one, that would have been a better
<v Speaker 1>time to do the title change. But look, I am
<v Speaker 1>happy to see the Belts off of the Vision, mainly
<v Speaker 1>because bron Breaker who never even won them, right, he
<v Speaker 1>was a substitute. He doesn't need these titles. What was
<v Speaker 1>he need the tag team title for?
<v Speaker 2>Now?
<v Speaker 1>We got the Belts back on a real team, an
<v Speaker 1>actual tag team. That's the good news. The bad news
<v Speaker 1>is they don't have anybody to work with. There's no
<v Speaker 1>other real team on this show except the Usos, and
<v Speaker 1>one of them may well be challenging for the world championship,
<v Speaker 1>one of them at SummerSlam. The other teams on this show,
<v Speaker 1>and what are you left with? What are you left with?
<v Speaker 1>The war Raiders they're in Triple A now, the Americanos
<v Speaker 1>they're also mostly in Triple A now, same thing with
<v Speaker 1>Julio and Bruto. And then you got Alpha Academy. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>what a fucking tag team division you got on this show?
<v Speaker 1>There's no division. So I mean, it's great that they
<v Speaker 1>won the belts, but now reality sets in. It's like, well,
<v Speaker 1>what's next? A rematch with the Vision? I guess I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, because they don't have a division. That's the
<v Speaker 1>big problem. But anyway, Night of Champions is coming up
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday. I had a whole rundown of the card.
<v Speaker 1>Six matches. We have the finals of the King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring and Queen of the Ring. We have a
<v Speaker 1>triple threat for the WWE Championship. We have a Women's
<v Speaker 1>US title match, and we have a Men's US title match.
<v Speaker 1>So I have the full predictions on SoundOff nine to
<v Speaker 1>sixty eight. Again, the podcast went up yesterday and tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>on the Uncrowned Wrestling Show, we'll talk more about Knight
<v Speaker 1>of Champions. But I'll also have predictions for Forbidden Door,
<v Speaker 1>which I did not do yesterday, so that will be
<v Speaker 1>on Uncrowned tomorrow. As far as the raw show itself,
<v Speaker 1>that's what I got for it. So now, unify the
<v Speaker 1>tag team titles, says bliss Fan. Now you would think
<v Speaker 1>that that would be the sensible thing to do. I've
<v Speaker 1>been advocating for that ever since they deunified them. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>it's been a couple of years now, but honestly, like
<v Speaker 1>it wouldn't even make that much of a difference. It
<v Speaker 1>absolutely is something they should do. I'm not saying they
<v Speaker 1>shouldn't do it, but I also don't think that it's
<v Speaker 1>sort of a fix. It's a fix to a problem,
<v Speaker 1>but the problem is much larger than just unifying the belts.
<v Speaker 1>Even if you unify them, you still don't have much
<v Speaker 1>of a tag team division. Tag team wrestling in WWE
<v Speaker 1>right now is dead.
<v Speaker 2>It's dead.
<v Speaker 1>It was alive and well on SmackDown for a period
<v Speaker 1>of time over a year ago, year and a half ago,
<v Speaker 1>but that was a long time ago at this point,
<v Speaker 1>and now we're in this dead period, this dead zone
<v Speaker 1>when it comes to tag team wrestling. We don't have
<v Speaker 1>real teams right You got some makeshift teams. We don't
<v Speaker 1>have real teams. And I think if they were serious
<v Speaker 1>enough and wanted to put the effort into rebuild the
<v Speaker 1>tag team division, it's something that's just going to take time.
<v Speaker 1>It's not going to happen overnight. You've got to It's
<v Speaker 1>not enough to just call up a couple of teams
<v Speaker 1>like Hank and Tank or something from NXT, like, you're
<v Speaker 1>going to have to really recruit teams and bring them in,
<v Speaker 1>and they clearly have no interest in doing that. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they've they've actually let go of multiple teams. The New
<v Speaker 1>Day is gone, the MotorCity machine Guns are gone, right,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, so you would think if they were serious
<v Speaker 1>about really beefing up their tag team division that those
<v Speaker 1>are teams they would have held onto, and they didn't.
<v Speaker 1>So it's unfortunate. But you know, people who just kind
<v Speaker 1>of throw that out there, oh, just unify the belts,
<v Speaker 1>you just got to understand that even if they do,
<v Speaker 1>you still have major problems that are just not going
<v Speaker 1>to be fixable overnight in this company. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>like tag team wrestling as much as the next person,
<v Speaker 1>but WWE does not. All right, the goal was seven
<v Speaker 1>hundred likes, which was a very ambitious goal. We are
<v Speaker 1>currently at three eighty one, so that is not going
<v Speaker 1>to happen. However, I am going to read your superchats here,
<v Speaker 1>so if you have any you want to send in,
<v Speaker 1>get them on in, because when we're done, we're done.
<v Speaker 1>Crypto and Poker is with us. Just watched Obsession at
<v Speaker 1>twelve midnight and still half full. I'm telling you, man,
<v Speaker 1>people are still flocking to the theaters to see that movie.
<v Speaker 1>It's a great movie. It's the best movie I've seen
<v Speaker 1>all year. Try Chickens says, I'm currently watching the World Cup.
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to stop by and say that Oba Femi
<v Speaker 1>needs to win King of the Ring. Triple H cannot
<v Speaker 1>fumble Oba, Oh.
<v Speaker 2>He can't, Kenny says.
<v Speaker 1>Every time I check out clips of WWE Unreal, I
<v Speaker 1>hilariously laugh at how production the production team zooms the
<v Speaker 1>camera closer towards everyone's faces during interviews. Got to get
<v Speaker 1>those reactions. Says Also, I watch Masters of the Universe.
<v Speaker 1>The movie was good and fun to watch. Also, I
<v Speaker 1>hope Indiana already gets an OSCAR nomination. Will it into existence?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I kind of feel like the Academy is not usually
<v Speaker 1>very kind to horror movies, but it would be a
<v Speaker 1>shame if she doesn't at least get a nomination. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>she was phenomenal, but dry. Chicken, thank you very much.
<v Speaker 1>I know he's gonna go back to his World Cup.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry I've interrupted you our World Cup watching. I'm
<v Speaker 1>streaming at a very odd time this week, Let's see
<v Speaker 1>here we got WWE wrestling and gaming. In your own
<v Speaker 1>booking of Brett Hard's run in WCW, how do you
<v Speaker 1>book him after Stark ninety nine? Well, I'm not gonna
<v Speaker 1>book him in five seconds here, I mean, you're putting
<v Speaker 1>me on the spot. How am I going to book him?
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna book him strong. I'm gonna keep him in
<v Speaker 1>the world title picture. That's what I'm gonna do, even
<v Speaker 1>if he's not the champion. But if you want to
<v Speaker 1>know how I would have booked that first year in WCW,
<v Speaker 1>there is a video up on the YouTube channel where
<v Speaker 1>I went through the entire thing. But I would definitely
<v Speaker 1>keep him in that upper mix. For the money they
<v Speaker 1>were paying him. You keep him in the upper mix.
<v Speaker 1>You don't have him, You don't reduce him down to
<v Speaker 1>the mid card GMB for ninety nine, thank you, brother.
<v Speaker 1>Still believe Lyra offered way more on the table as
<v Speaker 1>a face. If you don't dress or look like a
<v Speaker 1>goth or look like a pretty blonde, being over becomes harder.
<v Speaker 1>Are you saying that the reason la Knight is still
<v Speaker 1>so over is that he's a pretty blonde Alexander with
<v Speaker 1>a tense spot. What are your thoughts on the South
<v Speaker 1>Bushwick church burning down? As a fellow New Yorker, I
<v Speaker 1>am not a religious person in any way, but it's
<v Speaker 1>said that we lost a one hundred and seventy six.
<v Speaker 2>Year old landmark. It's always sad.
<v Speaker 1>It's a very sad story.
<v Speaker 2>But I hope you're doing well. Brother.
<v Speaker 1>WWE Wrestling and Gaming. Top five most famous wrestlers of
<v Speaker 1>all time, Wrestlers that are the most well known. I
<v Speaker 1>mean you think of people. Obviously Hogan and Rock are
<v Speaker 1>on that list, but you know, Hogan, Rock, Sena, those
<v Speaker 1>are probably the main ones.
<v Speaker 2>I would say Hogan, Rock and Sena.
<v Speaker 1>After that, it gets a little fuzzier if you're just
<v Speaker 1>talking about popularity like in this country. Obviously, if you
<v Speaker 1>want to expand it out to other countries, you're getting
<v Speaker 1>into El Santo and you know, cultural icons.
<v Speaker 2>Whether it's Mexico or Japan.
<v Speaker 1>If you're talking like us, like mainstream US wrestling, you're
<v Speaker 1>talking about Hogan, Rock and Sena. You know, Austin, I
<v Speaker 1>don't think stone Cold. If we're just talking popularity outside
<v Speaker 1>of the wrestling bubble, I don't think you have him
<v Speaker 1>on the list. You know, people may have heard the name,
<v Speaker 1>but he doesn't have that same level of popularity outside
<v Speaker 1>of wrestling that like Hogan and Rock or even Sena
<v Speaker 1>have Batista. Batista would probably be on there. Batista has
<v Speaker 1>done very well for himself in Hollywood. You know, Guardians
<v Speaker 1>of the Galaxy. A lot of people who didn't know
<v Speaker 1>him before they know him now. Those movies were huge.
<v Speaker 1>Flair maybe yeah, probably, you know what, probably Flair. Flair
<v Speaker 1>actually more in the last like ten years, probably has
<v Speaker 1>become more mainstream than he was during his wrestling career
<v Speaker 1>because a lot of people like rappers have paid homage
<v Speaker 1>to him and their songs, and you got Rick Flair,
<v Speaker 1>Drip and all this stuff. So I would say more
<v Speaker 1>people know about Rick Flair now, even if they're not
<v Speaker 1>wrestling fans, and they would have ten or fifteen or
<v Speaker 1>twenty years ago. Donovan says, I was a huge La
<v Speaker 1>Knights supporter. Then he crapped hard all over my name,
<v Speaker 1>send him to main event.
<v Speaker 2>Man.
<v Speaker 1>He really alienated a good part of his fan base
<v Speaker 1>with that. I'm sorry, duh, Donovan. I think you have
<v Speaker 1>a very cool name. I like that name. Brandy or
<v Speaker 1>who said Randy Orton, Brett Hart. You're talking to the
<v Speaker 1>biggest Brett Hart fan in the world here. You cannot
<v Speaker 1>put Brett Hart on a list of like the most
<v Speaker 1>famous pro wrestlers, like mainstream names of all.
<v Speaker 2>Are you kidding me? Brett Hart, Randy Orton. People don't
<v Speaker 2>know who they are.
<v Speaker 1>Walk up to a random person on the street and
<v Speaker 1>mention Sean Michaels and they're gonna look at you like
<v Speaker 1>you have a fucking cyclops eye. But if you say
<v Speaker 1>Macho Man, Macho Man, Randy Savage, they might know who
<v Speaker 1>you're talking about. You know, there's a reason why if
<v Speaker 1>you when Halloween rolls around in terms of the wrestlers
<v Speaker 1>who are probably the most I would say dressed up
<v Speaker 1>as like Hogan and Savage are they gotta be still
<v Speaker 1>right at the top of the list, and their arrow
<v Speaker 1>was like forty years ago, thirty years ago, both dead.
<v Speaker 1>But you will see countless people dressed up as Hogan.
<v Speaker 1>You'll see countless people dressed up as Macho Man because
<v Speaker 1>they were very colorful characters too, So that helps. You're
<v Speaker 1>not gonna find people dressed up as Randy Orton or
<v Speaker 1>Brett Hart for Halloween.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry you're not. You're just not one person. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>you know.
<v Speaker 1>And even if you're of the mindset that like, these
<v Speaker 1>are the more recent names, right, I'll give you Roman Reigns.
<v Speaker 1>You could put Roman Rains on that list. Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 1>I think would be known by a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>outside the wrestling sphere. But if you honestly believe, like, oh, well,
<v Speaker 1>you know, come on now, the current era, you know,
<v Speaker 1>people like Randy Orton or in La and Night or
<v Speaker 1>somebody would be more well known. No, no, because all
<v Speaker 1>the names that we just talked about, Rock Hogan, right,
<v Speaker 1>people like that were when wrestling was like super popular.
<v Speaker 1>Wrestling is not super popular in the way that he
<v Speaker 1>used to be. This is the misconception that people have
<v Speaker 1>Wwe may be making more money now than they've ever
<v Speaker 1>made before, but that does not equal popularity per se.
<v Speaker 1>They may be more mainstream now in terms of being
<v Speaker 1>on ESPN and stuff like that, but that does not
<v Speaker 1>equate to the product being as popular as it once was.
<v Speaker 1>I guarantee you most people have never heard of Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 2>Like you.
<v Speaker 1>If you if you disagree you are living in a
<v Speaker 1>bubble like you are, you are living you are I
<v Speaker 1>will call you bubble boy from now on. I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry, bubble boy, but you're wrong on this. Sidrow
<v Speaker 1>is with us with a five. I need to finish
<v Speaker 1>my paper on United Arab Emirates. It's Dubai next Monday.
<v Speaker 1>That's the wrong sound effect, but it still works. Uh
<v Speaker 1>uh and just finished A book called Fear of Sunlights
<v Speaker 1>was written by was written by Gladys Gladys Knight.
<v Speaker 2>There we go. That's the right one, though those are
<v Speaker 2>Those were both good. I like those. Prince Vegeta.
<v Speaker 1>WWE is fucking up its King of the Ring tournaments,
<v Speaker 1>like sid fucked up his toys in Toy Story.
<v Speaker 2>A terrible villain Sid is and that first toy story.
<v Speaker 1>Lakers pats j WWE title run or say Brett is
<v Speaker 1>overrated for life. I could say Brett is overrated for
<v Speaker 1>life and not mean it. I can lie to you.
<v Speaker 1>I'd rather lie to you than have a j USO
<v Speaker 1>world title run fine with me?
<v Speaker 2>Uh? Sidrow with another five. Girl says what can go wrong?
<v Speaker 2>What can go wrong?
<v Speaker 1>Will go Rome man says that's Murphy's law. But you
<v Speaker 1>heard of Cole's law. Girl, No man, it's finally sliced
<v Speaker 1>raw cabbage with salad dressing. I just had some coleslaw
<v Speaker 1>the other night. Darius says, Roman somewhere is confused by
<v Speaker 1>Gable's apology. Yeah, he's like an apology. What's that? The
<v Speaker 1>word sorry? It's not in his vocabulary. He doesn't know
<v Speaker 1>what that means. Paul Carpenter, we are now the Vision
<v Speaker 1>Academy man, He's yeah, please please on this Vision Alpha
<v Speaker 1>Academy stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I smoke a lot of weed. Is with us?
<v Speaker 1>Appreciate you Solo dropping some love. I appreciate you too.
<v Speaker 2>Weed.
<v Speaker 1>Have yourself a good ice, smoke, a latte and some weed.
<v Speaker 1>It's a lot of emojis.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you. Brother.
<v Speaker 1>Alexander says, I like how WWE has not acknowledged that
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen is technically a free agent. Pierce or all
<v Speaker 1>this has not fought to sign him on their show.
<v Speaker 1>Why would they? He doesn't wrestle, he doesn't do anything.
<v Speaker 1>He annoys the both of them. Why would they want
<v Speaker 1>them on their show? They're probably trying to pawn him
<v Speaker 1>off on the other Why would they want him. They
<v Speaker 1>don't get a cut of the merch that he sells.
<v Speaker 1>That goes right to the company, that goes right into
<v Speaker 1>TKO's pockets doesn't increase their paycheck. Barry MK with a
<v Speaker 1>fifteen dollars super chat. Why do you think ratings were
<v Speaker 1>down in the Ruthless Aggression era? Even with all the problems,
<v Speaker 1>the shows were a lot of fun, bad and good.
<v Speaker 1>Something crazy could happen every week on those shows. So
<v Speaker 1>here's the thing you gotta you gotta realize. When the
<v Speaker 1>ratings went up in the late nineties, right, that was
<v Speaker 1>the peak of the Attitude era and Stone Cold against
<v Speaker 1>Vince McMahon and the Rock and DX and just this
<v Speaker 1>perfect storm. They brought in a lot of fans from
<v Speaker 1>the outside who probably never watched wrestling before, or maybe
<v Speaker 1>they were lapsed, maybe they watched it as a kid,
<v Speaker 1>they got out of it. Now it's cool again, so
<v Speaker 1>they start watching it again. And so you're getting cable
<v Speaker 1>ratings at the peak, like in ninety nine Nielsen ratings
<v Speaker 1>in the fives and the sixes and the sevens, they
<v Speaker 1>did an eight point one for their highest rated episode.
<v Speaker 1>Like we're talking eight nine, ten million viewers a week
<v Speaker 1>tuned in live to watch this show. And that's what
<v Speaker 1>competition from Nitro, Like these numbers were not they were
<v Speaker 1>just they were not real. They didn't make any sense.
<v Speaker 1>They were so high, and so eventually the bubble bursts
<v Speaker 1>and the numbers come back down to reality. The Attitude
<v Speaker 1>era died when Stone Cold turn Heel. I mean, there's
<v Speaker 1>a noticeable business drop and drop in ratings that you
<v Speaker 1>could probably trace back to that one event.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, but every era.
<v Speaker 1>Has its peak and then it dies and a new
<v Speaker 1>era begins. So yeah, there was a lot of great
<v Speaker 1>wrestling in the Ruthless Aggression era, but of course the
<v Speaker 1>ratings were always going to go down because the peak
<v Speaker 1>of Austin and the Attitude era was over. And so
<v Speaker 1>I guarantee you there were a lot of fans who
<v Speaker 1>once that happened, they were like, peace out, We're not
<v Speaker 1>here for the wrestling. We don't give a shit about that.
<v Speaker 1>You don't care that brock Lesner and Chris Benoit can
<v Speaker 1>do German souplexes. You know, they wanted the Attitude era.
<v Speaker 1>They wanted Austin driving in on a zamboni. They wanted
<v Speaker 1>you know, Sable showing her tits and all this stuff.
<v Speaker 1>That's what they wanted, That's what they tuned in for.
<v Speaker 1>That's what Russo gave them. Crash TV the ratings were
<v Speaker 1>always going to have to normal lies and settle in.
<v Speaker 1>This is what people don't realize. They were always gonna
<v Speaker 1>come down. It doesn't mean it was a bad show.
<v Speaker 1>The ruthless aggress like that era of SmackDown in two
<v Speaker 1>and o three is peak television. It's great stuff, but
<v Speaker 1>that's not going to necessarily appeal to a wider audience
<v Speaker 1>of like casual fans. Some of them will. There were
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people, you know. Once Austin turned heel,
<v Speaker 1>it was like, all right, peace out, We're done. It's over.
<v Speaker 1>San Juan Wolf with a nineteen ninety nine. I like
<v Speaker 1>seeing that. What's good solo? How's life look at that?
<v Speaker 1>He's just checking in on me. Life is good. It's
<v Speaker 1>very busy. I'm very tired, but we keep doing what
<v Speaker 1>we do, like Triple h says, that's what we do.
<v Speaker 2>But things are good. I hope things are good with
<v Speaker 2>you as well.
<v Speaker 1>Chicago for MBK, I had fun at my first hog
<v Speaker 1>show this past Friday, Electric matches in crowd and I
<v Speaker 1>went back to listen to you and JD on commentary
<v Speaker 1>as well.
<v Speaker 2>Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed him.
<v Speaker 1>Man I said this at the end I really think
<v Speaker 1>that was our best Chicago show. We've done a lot
<v Speaker 1>of them now. When it was over, I just kind
<v Speaker 1>of looked at him, and he looked at me. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>that was a fun show. Like everything hit, it was great.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm glad you enjoyed it. You picked a good
<v Speaker 1>one to go to. Hopefully you'll be at the next one.
<v Speaker 1>I'm thinking it's not locked in yet, but the hope
<v Speaker 1>is that we'll be able to make our way back
<v Speaker 1>to Chicago, maybe in October is probably what we're looking at.
<v Speaker 1>We got a few more here. We got the real
<v Speaker 1>Cso too. I seriously hope we don't get King yeat
<v Speaker 1>this Saturday. I hope not to. Also, he says, if
<v Speaker 1>the plan isn't for Oba to win King of the Ring,
<v Speaker 1>what are we doing if they have the yeat Man
<v Speaker 1>beat him. I'm considering stopping watching WWE. That will be
<v Speaker 1>the final straw for me. Well you say that now,
<v Speaker 1>but you'll be back. They all come back. But I
<v Speaker 1>feel you, man, it doesn't appeal to me in the
<v Speaker 1>slightest There is no option where Jay Usso wins King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring, whether he picks Cody Roman, both of them,
<v Speaker 1>none of that appeals to me O two oh to
<v Speaker 1>the J eighty four with a ten spot. Could we
<v Speaker 1>make an argument that Macho Man is the real mister WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>He got the best matches out of Steamboat, Hogan, Warrior,
<v Speaker 1>and Flair on the grandest stage of them all much
<v Speaker 1>loves Solo Monster. I would not argue with you if
<v Speaker 1>you wanted to say Macho Man was your mister WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>He didn't have as many WrestleMania as some other people did,
<v Speaker 1>taker Sean, you know, his body of work on that
<v Speaker 1>show was limited compared to them. They had a lot
<v Speaker 1>more longevity than he did because he left and went
<v Speaker 1>to WCW. But his WrestleMania resume, like I'd put his
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania resume up against most other people. Just the Steamboat
<v Speaker 1>match alone is so legendary. And I didn't think any
<v Speaker 1>of the matches in the tournament at WrestleMania four were
<v Speaker 1>particularly great for him. It would be the performance where
<v Speaker 1>he had to wrestle four times in one night and
<v Speaker 1>then he wins the championship, so that was like a
<v Speaker 1>big WrestleMania moment for him. Five against Hogan, they had
<v Speaker 1>a very good match. Six was like a mixed tag.
<v Speaker 1>It was kind of like a throwaway. Seven was just
<v Speaker 1>a fantastic match with a Warrior, best match those two
<v Speaker 1>ever had. And then eight. I love the match that
<v Speaker 1>he had with Flair. It was if it wasn't Flair's
<v Speaker 1>best WWF match, it had to be number two. And
<v Speaker 1>then Savage he was doing commentary. At nine, he had
<v Speaker 1>the False count Anywhere match with Crush, at which I liked.
<v Speaker 1>I liked that match, so I won't argue with you.
<v Speaker 1>I won't argue with you. The thing about the Crush
<v Speaker 1>match was like, as a wrestling match, it wasn't really great,
<v Speaker 1>but I just I'm a sucker for like when they
<v Speaker 1>venture into other parts of the building, and at that time,
<v Speaker 1>that really wasn't something you saw in WWF, like even
<v Speaker 1>that little bit of the backstage stuff that we had.
<v Speaker 1>At the end of the match, I was like, Oh,
<v Speaker 1>this is cool. And he hangs him upside down by
<v Speaker 1>his foot. He tries to anyway, he's trying to tie
<v Speaker 1>his feet together, but then the rope came undone. The rules,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, were very weird the way they did
<v Speaker 1>that false kuint Anymore match, Like you had to pin
<v Speaker 1>the person outside the ring if you were to pin them,
<v Speaker 1>but then like they have sixty seconds to get back
<v Speaker 1>to the ring. Like it worked very differently than like
<v Speaker 1>modern day false kuint anymore matches work, Mgmballin. I know
<v Speaker 1>wrestling is boring, but solo is not. Let's get be
<v Speaker 1>the book Yeah, let's get be the booker, guys, Solo
<v Speaker 1>is more exciting than most of these shows. Unfortunately it
<v Speaker 1>shouldn't be that way. We are seven out of ten
<v Speaker 1>on the bonus goal, though I just noticed where are
<v Speaker 1>we on the likes eh four forty two again the wheel?
<v Speaker 1>The wheel said, as you could see here seven hundred.
<v Speaker 1>That seems very unlikely, but I don't know. We're creeping
<v Speaker 1>up there on the on the bonus goal WWE Wrestling
<v Speaker 1>and Gaming. What is your opinion on Vince Russo. I
<v Speaker 1>think he was able to parlay a lot of success
<v Speaker 1>he had in the nineties into a much longer He's
<v Speaker 1>very similar to Bischoff in.
<v Speaker 2>That way where they.
<v Speaker 1>Were able to parlay a relatively brief period of time
<v Speaker 1>thirty years ago into a lifetime of work.
<v Speaker 2>Good for them, can't them for doing that?
<v Speaker 1>And the real CS says, I'll stick to your reviews.
<v Speaker 1>Probably a good way to go. I'm always here, you
<v Speaker 1>know that, Scott. He said, I saw somewhere on Facebook
<v Speaker 1>that Miss Elizabeth worked for ESPN in nineteen ninety four.
<v Speaker 1>She did, in fact, actually the full video is on YouTube,
<v Speaker 1>and I wish I could remember the name of the show.
<v Speaker 1>It was a voting show and she was one of
<v Speaker 1>the She was one of the hosts. Like they opened
<v Speaker 1>the show. There were two male hosts. She was the
<v Speaker 1>female host. She was like to the left of them,
<v Speaker 1>but she was also like a correspondent during that hour,
<v Speaker 1>and so it was weird seeing her in that role.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, that I want to say it was ninety four.
<v Speaker 1>I think if you just go on YouTube and type
<v Speaker 1>in probably miss Elizabeth ESPN, it'll probably come up Low
<v Speaker 1>King seventy two thirty five solo, Call my wife and kids.
<v Speaker 2>He says, Oh, you don't be get Linda on the phone.
<v Speaker 2>Get Linda and the kids on the phone. This is
<v Speaker 2>it for me, brother.
<v Speaker 1>You know, if nothing else, Hogan left us with lots
<v Speaker 1>of tall tales and fables and stories that will be
<v Speaker 1>worth the entertainment for years to come. That is only
<v Speaker 1>one of the many, many stories, all right, So here's
<v Speaker 1>the schedule as it currently looks for the remainder of
<v Speaker 1>the week. Tomorrow you got a brand new episode of
<v Speaker 1>The Uncrowned Wrestling Show, and I will include.
<v Speaker 2>Forbidden Door predictions in that.
<v Speaker 1>Tomorrow night will be a brand new episode of Tuesday
<v Speaker 1>Night Titans over on JD's channel. We have much to discuss,
<v Speaker 1>as we do every week. Wednesday DA might post show.
<v Speaker 1>Friday is the final three hour SmackDown, so we'll be
<v Speaker 1>in the normal slot after eleven o'clock eleven thirty at
<v Speaker 1>night whatever, but thank god, it is the final three
<v Speaker 1>hour SmackDown, so we'll have the post show. Then Saturday
<v Speaker 1>one o'clock Eastern is Night of Champions. When Night of
<v Speaker 1>Champions is over, I will be live as I came
<v Speaker 1>live tonight after Raw. I will be live on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>after Night of Champions and that will lead nicely into
<v Speaker 1>the next episode of the podcast next Sunday. So got
<v Speaker 1>a lot of content coming your way. I hope you
<v Speaker 1>guys enjoy it. I do it for you. Also, if
<v Speaker 1>you missed episode nine sixty eight, please go back and
<v Speaker 1>check that out. The podcast from yesterday is doing well.
<v Speaker 2>Eric says.
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown is at two on Netflix internationally tomorrow.
<v Speaker 2>Are you sure about that. I don't think it is.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think it is. I heard that it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>going to be airing live tomorrow. It doesn't matter if
<v Speaker 2>it is. I'm still I'm not reviewing it tomorrow. So
<v Speaker 2>I already have two shows to do tomorrow. I ain't
<v Speaker 2>going live. I will not be going live for SmackDown.
<v Speaker 2>If it is airing live tomorrow, let me see you're
<v Speaker 2>smack then airing live tomorrow. Let's see. Yeah. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just I'm of the impression it's not. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know where you're getting that from. But maybe you're right.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't believe that's true. So we'll
<v Speaker 2>have the usual post show on Friday.
<v Speaker 1>If, by chance, though I have the chance to watch
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown earlier than Friday, then maybe we'll go live at
<v Speaker 1>like eight on Friday. But we're saving the review for Friday.
<v Speaker 1>That is not changing. Solo should break out his New
<v Speaker 1>Year's Eve outfit for the last three hour.
<v Speaker 2>I have some plans. I have some.
<v Speaker 1>Plans for SmackDown to commemorate on Friday. You'll join me
<v Speaker 1>then and find out what they are anyway. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>guys for hanging out with me. Be well, stay safe,
<v Speaker 1>have yourselves a great rest of your evening. Yes, they
<v Speaker 1>are taping SmackDown tomorrow. It's being taped tomorrow because they're
<v Speaker 1>on their way to Riod, so they're in London. They're
<v Speaker 1>taping it tomorrow, but it airs as normal on Friday.
<v Speaker 1>Be well, stay safe. I will be back with you
<v Speaker 1>for more content here on the channel very soon Wednesday
<v Speaker 1>night in fact, and until then, take care, guys,
