<v Speaker 1>Tonight was the final dynamite before it Forbidden Door. Thank
<v Speaker 1>god Forbidden Doors coming up on Sunday. I really wish
<v Speaker 1>I could tell you that I'm super stoked for Forbidden
<v Speaker 1>Door this weekend. I'm really not. I wish I could
<v Speaker 1>be more up for it, but you know, again, I
<v Speaker 1>just think the whole thing has run its course. Frankly,
<v Speaker 1>I can't wait for it to be over, so we
<v Speaker 1>could just move beyond this, and we've got Redemption coming
<v Speaker 1>up and then the big Wembley Show in August, so
<v Speaker 1>this is the final dynamite before that. We did have
<v Speaker 1>eight matches on the show tonight, and they didn't really
<v Speaker 1>go all that much overtime. I mean, they've gone way
<v Speaker 1>overtime in the past, be on the top of the hour,
<v Speaker 1>and they really didn't go too far overtime tonight, and
<v Speaker 1>they were able to condense eight matches into those two hours.
<v Speaker 1>So we definitely got our fill of wrestling here on
<v Speaker 1>this show. If you're looking for a bunch of wrestling matches,
<v Speaker 1>and none of them were bad. You know, some were
<v Speaker 1>better than others. But I really can't sit here and
<v Speaker 1>tell you that there was a bad match on the show.
<v Speaker 1>In the main event. They had the International Championship defended, Kenoski,
<v Speaker 1>Takeshta defending against Ricochet. Of course, I mean, look, we
<v Speaker 1>all knew how this was going to go. Obviously, the
<v Speaker 1>feud right now is Takeshta and Kyle Fletcher. They're actually
<v Speaker 1>going to be part of the same main event on
<v Speaker 1>Sunday at Forbidden Door. But they went out there and yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they had a good main event. Osbury and Swerve the
<v Speaker 1>two men in the finals of the Men's owen Hert
<v Speaker 1>Tournament this weekend. They are on a collision course here
<v Speaker 1>for the spot to go to the main event at
<v Speaker 1>Wembley Stadium. Only one men can go. They were both
<v Speaker 1>in action on this show. We had Daniel Garcia against
<v Speaker 1>Swarve Strickland. We had Elp from New Japan. They dust
<v Speaker 1>him off and bring him in every now and then.
<v Speaker 1>He was in there again. Will Osprey tonight, Zach Saber Junior,
<v Speaker 1>who's got a big match coming up this Sunday with
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega. He was in action against Jack Perry on
<v Speaker 1>this show. And we had a couple of matches qualifying
<v Speaker 1>matches for the Survival of the Fittest baut that's going
<v Speaker 1>to be taking place on Dynamite next week to crown
<v Speaker 1>a new TBS champion because the title has been vacant
<v Speaker 1>now for about a month. Will Ow Nightingale got hurt.
<v Speaker 1>This is the way that Tony Kahan decided he was
<v Speaker 1>going to crown a new champion, which was to adopt
<v Speaker 1>a Ring of Honor concept. You know, the survival of
<v Speaker 1>the Fittest match and Ring of Honor goes back to
<v Speaker 1>I want to say two thousand and four, and he's
<v Speaker 1>used it in Ring of Honor even not that long ago.
<v Speaker 1>Athena retained her championship in one in roh. So this
<v Speaker 1>is gonna be the first one that we've seen in
<v Speaker 1>aaw and so he decided to have a series of
<v Speaker 1>qualifying matches, which frankly, I think is the better way
<v Speaker 1>to go. Yeah, they could have had a one night
<v Speaker 1>Battle Royal, I mean that's kind of cliche. This is
<v Speaker 1>a better way to go about doing it, at least
<v Speaker 1>because it gives you some matches on television, you know,
<v Speaker 1>not unlike what we've seen lately with King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring and Queen of the Ring and the owen Hart
<v Speaker 1>tournaments or when it's Continental Classic season where you give
<v Speaker 1>these matches a purpose, right if people are trying to
<v Speaker 1>qualify for the match next week or a tournament, whatever
<v Speaker 1>it may be. We had two of them on the
<v Speaker 1>show tonight, and I think there's one spot left open.
<v Speaker 1>There's gonna be six women in that match next week.
<v Speaker 1>I believe this one spot left open that'll be filled
<v Speaker 1>on collision, I assume this weekend. And so that was
<v Speaker 1>really it. I mean, we're going to go through this review.
<v Speaker 1>I don't suspect this is going to take very long
<v Speaker 1>because there's just not a whole lot to talk about. Frankly,
<v Speaker 1>outside of the wrestling matches that we had here on
<v Speaker 1>this show. I am going to go through the card
<v Speaker 1>for this weekend. Later on, I'll run down the Forbidden
<v Speaker 1>Door card. We'll do predictions. I've got some thoughts to
<v Speaker 1>share on some of the matches and where we are,
<v Speaker 1>especially with Mercedes and Maya World. That's going to be
<v Speaker 1>the Women's Owen Heart Final on Sunday. So again, a
<v Speaker 1>lot of wrestling on this show, but beyond that, it was, you,
<v Speaker 1>you know, your typical aw go Home show. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>you know what else to say about it, nothing more
<v Speaker 1>and nothing less. It was pretty much what you would expect,
<v Speaker 1>but thank you for hanging out with me here on
<v Speaker 1>a Wednesday. It is June twenty fourth, twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 1>I am the solo Monster, and this is your AW
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite review. When's that show coming up? The Beach Break one?
<v Speaker 1>Two weeks right? July eighth is the Beach Break episode
<v Speaker 1>of Dynamite. That's when they're doing the Chris Jericho Tomaso
<v Speaker 1>Champa match. And if I had a venture, a guess,
<v Speaker 1>after Team Briscoe wins in the cage match on Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>that would be the place that would be the night
<v Speaker 1>to do the AW World Championship match between MJ and
<v Speaker 1>Mark Briscoe. Because there ain't no way that's going to
<v Speaker 1>be the redemption match at the end of July. I
<v Speaker 1>would think Beach Break would be as good a time
<v Speaker 1>as any to go ahead and knock that match out. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>let's get on with it here. I'm not even gonna
<v Speaker 1>bother with the likes or anything, because there's just no
<v Speaker 1>point not on a Wednesday. Let's start from the top here, Dynamite.
<v Speaker 1>They came on the air, the Death Riders were in
<v Speaker 1>the back. They had will ospray with them, He's basically
<v Speaker 1>their version of Sammy Usso, and so they're all in
<v Speaker 1>the back getting hyped up. They had a whole group
<v Speaker 1>of huddle and a group hug ospray. He fell backwards.
<v Speaker 1>They were doing this weird thing where they were like
<v Speaker 1>jumping up and down in a huddle, and Osprey fell backwards.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't know if he fell into a a
<v Speaker 1>wheelbarrow or what the hell it was. I'm not even
<v Speaker 1>sure he was supposed to fall backwards. They were all
<v Speaker 1>kind of like they looked like they were about to
<v Speaker 1>corpse on camera, but they looked like they were having
<v Speaker 1>a lot of fun. I'm not sure that Osprey was
<v Speaker 1>supposed to fall over the way he did. But they
<v Speaker 1>opened with Moxley, Claudio, and Wheeler Yudah against Mystico, Brody,
<v Speaker 1>King and Bandido. Late in the match, there was a
<v Speaker 1>gonzo bomb by Brody that got broken up by Claudio,
<v Speaker 1>and Bandido came in. He deadlifted Claudio to a big pop.
<v Speaker 1>Udah flew in with a Bussicu knee. Here comes Mystico
<v Speaker 1>standing dropkick. Brody drops Moxley with a lariot. Now Marina
<v Speaker 1>Shaffir is on the apron to distract a referee that
<v Speaker 1>allows Claudio to blast Brody with the Continental title right
<v Speaker 1>in the head and Moxley folds him up for the
<v Speaker 1>pin to win it. You know, they open the show
<v Speaker 1>with these guys right, the Death Riders, and they treat
<v Speaker 1>them like babyfaces, and they're kind of acting like babyfaces
<v Speaker 1>in a way. But then it's back to the old
<v Speaker 1>Death Riders bullshit here now the old bullshit finish the
<v Speaker 1>belt shot, you know, the cheating behind the referees, back
<v Speaker 1>total heel move against the Babyface team, and we are
<v Speaker 1>getting John Moxley and Bendita for the Continental title on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>So if nothing else, we know at least we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>get a good match out of it. At least we
<v Speaker 1>know that much beyond that, Again, the match was made
<v Speaker 1>last week. It came out of nowhere. This is sort
<v Speaker 1>of the story of a good chunk frankly of the
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden Door card where there was a big flurry this
<v Speaker 1>past week where they announced a whole bunch of matches
<v Speaker 1>show to Umiino against pack Like and they just kind
<v Speaker 1>of throw them out there, and I'm sure some of
<v Speaker 1>the die hards and the sickos and whatnot they don't
<v Speaker 1>care because they're gonna get you know, the big inter
<v Speaker 1>promotional matches back and forth. But it's just one of
<v Speaker 1>the reasons why, you know, I can't really get overly
<v Speaker 1>excited for this shit. It's like whatever again. My attitude
<v Speaker 1>of pat it is like, let's just get past this.
<v Speaker 1>I'm interested in seeing how the owen is resolved because
<v Speaker 1>that's an aw thing and that's been building for weeks
<v Speaker 1>and weeks right now, wouldn't you know I can actually
<v Speaker 1>invest in that and get behind that. But the rest
<v Speaker 1>of this stuff, even the Kenney Omegaza Saber Junior stuff, like,
<v Speaker 1>I know they're gonna have a good match, but it's
<v Speaker 1>like it's just hard for me to get excited, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like it's just, yeah, the bloom is off the rows.
<v Speaker 1>Harley Cameron against Marina Shaffir. This was the first of
<v Speaker 1>two TBS title Survival of the Fittest qualifying matches that
<v Speaker 1>we had here on this show. They've adapted again the
<v Speaker 1>concept from Ring of Honor. This is how they are
<v Speaker 1>deciding a new champion. It's all building to a six
<v Speaker 1>person elimination match next week. Pinfalls and submissions count. People
<v Speaker 1>just keep getting picked off until there's one left. That
<v Speaker 1>last woman left will be crowned the new TBS champion.
<v Speaker 1>So they were also promoting tonight, not not too heavily,
<v Speaker 1>but they were clearly promoting the new Supergirl movie, which
<v Speaker 1>I saw debut on Rotten Tomatoes with like a fifty
<v Speaker 1>nine percent. I guess to be fresh, you have to
<v Speaker 1>be sixty, right, sixty percent. So when it first, now,
<v Speaker 1>the first reviews came in, I believe the movie was
<v Speaker 1>rotten and it was fifty nine percent. It went up
<v Speaker 1>just over sixty. I don't maybe somebody can check. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know where it is now, but not great, not terrible,
<v Speaker 1>but not great. I don't have any interest in seeing Supergirl.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how many people in the chat give
<v Speaker 1>a shit if you're going to be there on night
<v Speaker 1>one to go see it. But they had a Supergirl
<v Speaker 1>tie in. It's a WB property, so of course they
<v Speaker 1>wanted to, you know, use the relationship with AW Synergy
<v Speaker 1>corporate synergy to promote the movie. So Harley was out
<v Speaker 1>there dressed up. Don't know if she was dressed up
<v Speaker 1>as Supergirl, but she was basically dressed up as you know,
<v Speaker 1>some sort of Supergirl outfit. And so the finish, you know,
<v Speaker 1>when you really think about it, the finish of this
<v Speaker 1>match should not have been all that surprising once you
<v Speaker 1>saw Harley Cameron out there dressed that way. They weren't
<v Speaker 1>a gonna beat her here in this match. Fifty six percent,
<v Speaker 1>steven says, fifty that is that what it's at. Now
<v Speaker 1>it's down Okay, yes, it's down to fifty six percent.
<v Speaker 1>So it is certified rotten on Rotten Tomatoes right now.
<v Speaker 1>I wish we had a similar system for wrestling shows.
<v Speaker 1>There's quite a few of them that would be certified
<v Speaker 1>rotten every single week. Yeah, I don't know. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>it's just like I'm looking at the commercials and the
<v Speaker 1>trailers and everything, and it just it doesn't appeal to me.
<v Speaker 1>But then again, I'm also not going out and seeing,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the Avengers movie. I'm not seeing the New
<v Speaker 1>Spider Man movie. The only superhero movie and it's not
<v Speaker 1>even about a superhero. It's about a villain from that universe,
<v Speaker 1>the DC universe. The only movie though that's kind of
<v Speaker 1>tied into the uh, you know, the comic book World
<v Speaker 1>that's coming out this year that I even have an
<v Speaker 1>interest in, is Clayface which is a body horror movie,
<v Speaker 1>all this other nonsense. Like I was over the whole
<v Speaker 1>superhero trope years ago. Every now and then I kind
<v Speaker 1>of feel like maybe I should jump back into it
<v Speaker 1>and see some of the more recent movies, maybe that
<v Speaker 1>maybe they've improved. Maybe I'm you know, maybe I've let
<v Speaker 1>enough time go by. I don't know, it doesn't really
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't really speak to me. Harley got a half
<v Speaker 1>crab applied. Marina, though escaped. She got her in a
<v Speaker 1>rear naked shoke Harley. They'll rolled backwards into a flashpin,
<v Speaker 1>had the leg hooked and got the three count. So
<v Speaker 1>that means that qualified so far in this match next
<v Speaker 1>week are Harley, Cameron, Chris Statlander, Hikarushida, and Persephone, with
<v Speaker 1>two more spots to be filled, one of which was
<v Speaker 1>filled later in the show, and just going by like
<v Speaker 1>what we see here, I wouldn't mind a Persephone win.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I know she has the CMLL Women's Championship already.
<v Speaker 1>I would not mind a Persephone win in that match
<v Speaker 1>next week. Watch the boys if you haven't already, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I know that they just concluded it. I think I've
<v Speaker 1>had a lot of people recommend that show to me,
<v Speaker 1>I will at some point I will check it out.
<v Speaker 1>I want to watch The Penguin first. I just finished
<v Speaker 1>season two of The Pit and so now I'm waiting
<v Speaker 1>for season three in January. And I'm gonna move on
<v Speaker 1>to The Penguin next. Since I know it's only one season,
<v Speaker 1>they're not renewing it for a second season. I guess
<v Speaker 1>it's just gonna be a limited series and that's it.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm gonna watch that next. Then maybe I'll do
<v Speaker 1>The Boys after that. Let me rephrase that, after that,
<v Speaker 1>I think I will I will watch the Boys. No,
<v Speaker 1>see that sounds just as bad. Let's move on here.
<v Speaker 1>We got a video package. We got a video package
<v Speaker 1>with comments from Maya World and Mercedes Monet and the
<v Speaker 1>footage of Maya upsetting Athena on Collision last weekend. Maya
<v Speaker 1>said that from her teacher to her idol, she's been
<v Speaker 1>waiting her entire career for this moment. You know, Athena
<v Speaker 1>being a teacher, Mercedes being her dream opponent. She's talked
<v Speaker 1>about that before. The dream is about to come true
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday. In the video, Monette said, congratulations for beating
<v Speaker 1>your teacher, but I'm not your teacher, I'm your boss.
<v Speaker 1>And after this there will be no sympathy cards. Dreams
<v Speaker 1>don't win championships. She does. And on Collision this coming weekend,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be Mercedes and Athena teaming up to
<v Speaker 1>take on Maya World and Hi On. And it's pretty interesting,
<v Speaker 1>you know when you think about and I talked about
<v Speaker 1>this on the Young Crown Wrestling show yesterday, which you
<v Speaker 1>should all check out, by the way, but I mentioned
<v Speaker 1>it's pretty cool when you think about Maya World and
<v Speaker 1>where she was less than a year ago compared to
<v Speaker 1>where she is now. Remember it was only a few
<v Speaker 1>weeks after the incident with Nixon, Newell and Miranda Alize
<v Speaker 1>when they walked out. They were supposed to wrestle a
<v Speaker 1>match on Dynamite and do the job. It was going
<v Speaker 1>to be a quick match. They for whatever reason decided,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, this doesn't work for us, brother, and
<v Speaker 1>they left, and it was high on in Maya World.
<v Speaker 1>Who were there. They were backstage that night. They stepped
<v Speaker 1>up and they took their place, and it was only
<v Speaker 1>a matter of weeks later that Tony khn signed them
<v Speaker 1>both to contracts, which they did not have. They were
<v Speaker 1>being used as extras basically up until that point. So
<v Speaker 1>to go from being an enhancement talent that they used
<v Speaker 1>as an extra or a per appearance basis and not
<v Speaker 1>even being under contract to less than ether like well
<v Speaker 1>under a year later, because this was in like November,
<v Speaker 1>well under a year later. Here she is now going
<v Speaker 1>to the finals of the owen Hart Tournament and she's
<v Speaker 1>going to be wrestling Mercedes Monette and the winner of
<v Speaker 1>this match is going to go on to Wembley Stadium
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle for the World Championship. That's a pretty big
<v Speaker 1>leap for Maya World. And then, of course, you know
<v Speaker 1>the tragedy that took place recently where her brother passed
<v Speaker 1>away twenty five years old. So there's a lot that
<v Speaker 1>kind of goes into this. It's this feel good story.
<v Speaker 1>She shocked the world and now she's going to try to,
<v Speaker 1>you know, pull off the ultimate upset on Sunday of
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden To. It's a good story and I thought this
<v Speaker 1>video was good, and look, they should keep up with
<v Speaker 1>this sort of thing, especially if Tony Kahan has an
<v Speaker 1>eye towards trying to create a new star with her,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't know if that's the goal here, or
<v Speaker 1>he's just sort of playing a week to week and saying, hey,
<v Speaker 1>let's just roll with the punches here and see where
<v Speaker 1>it takes us. But I think more video packages like
<v Speaker 1>this and maybe doing like a sit down interview type
<v Speaker 1>of thing. I think that would be a good idea,
<v Speaker 1>specifically with Maya I'm talking about, you know, kind of
<v Speaker 1>the whole Cinderella story kind of lean into that. More
<v Speaker 1>were Will Osprey against Elp el Fantasmo from New Japan
<v Speaker 1>Pro Wrestling. These guys have history in New Japan. They've
<v Speaker 1>wrestled many times before. They've had some great matches before,
<v Speaker 1>and this was another good one. Elp he caught Osprey
<v Speaker 1>in a torture rack. Osprey, though escaped. He had a
<v Speaker 1>poison rona for two counts. Osprey looked for the hidden blade.
<v Speaker 1>Elp caught him with a snap rana. He wanted a
<v Speaker 1>pile driver. Osprey, though reversed out and he hit his
<v Speaker 1>styles clash. Followed that with a hidden blade right to
<v Speaker 1>the back of the skull. He didn't even know what
<v Speaker 1>hit him and that was enough for the three count.
<v Speaker 1>This is about ten minutes long. It was good, you know,
<v Speaker 1>for the ten minutes they had. I thought it was good.
<v Speaker 1>Now after the match, Osprey held his fist out, he
<v Speaker 1>bumped fists with Elp and he was posing for some
<v Speaker 1>photos with fans outside the ring. As he was heading
<v Speaker 1>to the or starting to head towards the back, Swerve
<v Speaker 1>Strickland's music hits and Prince Nana walks out and here
<v Speaker 1>Swerve and at that point Osperdy decided to exit through
<v Speaker 1>the crowd to keep his distance. They're gonna wrestle on Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>let's just stay away from each other. So he goes
<v Speaker 1>through that. He did wink back at Swerve, though he
<v Speaker 1>winked at Swerve before he walked away. So that's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be your own Cup final on Sunday. If it's anything
<v Speaker 1>like their world title match two years ago, it's gonna
<v Speaker 1>steal the show. But we had Swerve for a match
<v Speaker 1>with Daniel Garcia. So for those keeping score, the Death
<v Speaker 1>Riders played heel in the opening match and they used
<v Speaker 1>the belt shot to beat the Babyfaces. Here in this match,
<v Speaker 1>Daniel Garcia comes out and he's the de facto babyface.
<v Speaker 1>He's basically in the babyface role here again, Swerve Strickland
<v Speaker 1>called for a house call kick. His leg gave out, though,
<v Speaker 1>because Garcia had been working it over that to Garcia
<v Speaker 1>hitting a styles clash for two. Ex Caliber said, it
<v Speaker 1>looks like will Ostbury is having an effect on the
<v Speaker 1>death Riders as much as they were having an effect
<v Speaker 1>on him. Garcia took too long to follow up. Swerve
<v Speaker 1>caught him with a rolling flatliner followed by the house call,
<v Speaker 1>and Garcia kicked out and Strickland was setting up for
<v Speaker 1>another one opted instead for a hidden blade, sending a
<v Speaker 1>message to his opponent on Sunday, and with that he
<v Speaker 1>picked up the wind. So after the match, Swerve was
<v Speaker 1>about to snap Garcia's arm and here comes will Osprey
<v Speaker 1>out to make the save, and Ospbury took Strickland down.
<v Speaker 1>He was about to hit a hidden blade. Prince Nana, though,
<v Speaker 1>grabbed the foot he tripped him up. Swerve flew in
<v Speaker 1>with a house call kick and he was going for
<v Speaker 1>a vertebreaker. Garcia saved him. Then he ended up taking
<v Speaker 1>the verte breaker instead, and Osprey came back into the
<v Speaker 1>ring with a chair and it was at that point
<v Speaker 1>that Swerve and Nona decided to bail and that was
<v Speaker 1>the end of that again. You know, whatever I mean
<v Speaker 1>pretty basic stuff. Here. They were able to get both
<v Speaker 1>of them in separate matches on the show, one little
<v Speaker 1>showcase for each of them before the pay per view.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't need this to be excited for the match
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday. I'm already looking forward to the match on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing they were going to do on this show was
<v Speaker 1>going to get me any more or less excited to
<v Speaker 1>see Swerve Strickland to well Osbury. All I needed to
<v Speaker 1>see was the match they had at Forbidden Door in
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty four, and as soon as this match was made,
<v Speaker 1>as soon as both men made it to the finals,
<v Speaker 1>I already knew this right here, This was the match
<v Speaker 1>right here that I was looking forward to the most
<v Speaker 1>on this pay per view. We go backstage to Renee.
<v Speaker 1>She is with the DC MJF family. I guess you
<v Speaker 1>would say MJF and all the members of the don
<v Speaker 1>Kallis family. Kevin Knight said that Darby Allen should have
<v Speaker 1>minded his own business. He also called out MJF right
<v Speaker 1>to his face, and he said that when this playdate
<v Speaker 1>is over, he wants a title shot, and MJF was
<v Speaker 1>very flippant he said, yeah whatever, kid, So Kallus then
<v Speaker 1>went over to Okada and he wanted to know what
<v Speaker 1>Okada had to say. Okada only had one word for him, bitch.
<v Speaker 1>I could only imagine how many millions of dollars this
<v Speaker 1>man is paid every single year, and he's had some
<v Speaker 1>bangor matches, but he go like he's got the easiest
<v Speaker 1>fucking job in the world. Most of the time when
<v Speaker 1>he cuts promos, it's one word. He looks in the camera,
<v Speaker 1>he says, bitch. It's like he's just he's got to
<v Speaker 1>be living on cloud nine. Man. He's getting paid a
<v Speaker 1>king's ransom to do, you know, just the most basic shit,
<v Speaker 1>which to him, I'm sure comes just naturally. It's like
<v Speaker 1>the easiest thing in the world for him. And then
<v Speaker 1>every now and then there's like a big pay per
<v Speaker 1>view match, like against Takashta Double or nothing, and he
<v Speaker 1>kind of turns the jets on and we see the
<v Speaker 1>old O Katta come out, and then it's back to
<v Speaker 1>the new Okada for a while until the next big match.
<v Speaker 1>Then the old Okada will kind of poke his head
<v Speaker 1>out again. Kyle Fletcher said that when the cage is
<v Speaker 1>locked on Sunday, he's coming forward to Keshda. MJF cut
<v Speaker 1>Andrade off THEO before he could even speak, and he
<v Speaker 1>said that he's never worked a nine to five job
<v Speaker 1>in his life, gets his Porterhouse steaks served to him
<v Speaker 1>by the hottest waitresses alive, and he calls Mark Briscow
<v Speaker 1>a blue collar bitch. He said that they had some
<v Speaker 1>hiccups last week in their twelve man tag team match,
<v Speaker 1>but he isn't blaming anybody Androtte but they just need
<v Speaker 1>to make sure they're on the same page on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>So Don Callis then pulled out a special gift to
<v Speaker 1>show MJF, which was a T shirt that had his
<v Speaker 1>likeness and mjf's likeness on it. It was them like
<v Speaker 1>air brushed in wearing speedos and they said, we have
<v Speaker 1>shirts for everybody in the family. And the reactions from
<v Speaker 1>all of them, they looked like they were about to vomit.
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher Takeshta. All of them had the same universal reaction
<v Speaker 1>to this. We had Jack Perry against Zach Saber Junior.
<v Speaker 1>If you've ever seen a Zach Saber Junior match, then
<v Speaker 1>you knew what to expect to Zach Saber Jr. Will
<v Speaker 1>pick you apart and in this match, he was targeting
<v Speaker 1>Perry's arm. Perry tried for a package pile driver, but
<v Speaker 1>because of the bad arm, he couldn't get it. He
<v Speaker 1>did get the snare trap applied, Saber basically laughed it
<v Speaker 1>off easily escaped into a double wrist lock. Perry escaped though,
<v Speaker 1>and he did finally get the package pile driver or
<v Speaker 1>maybe it was a power bomb, but he only got two.
<v Speaker 1>He signaled for the sacrifice knee and that did not
<v Speaker 1>pay off for him. But Saber was able to get
<v Speaker 1>a a leg lock trap and then he transitioned into
<v Speaker 1>a bow and arrow. He wrenched back on the arm
<v Speaker 1>and Perry I don't know if it was a verbal submission,
<v Speaker 1>but he basically couldn't tap, but he was kind of
<v Speaker 1>nodding his head like yes, I give up. He had
<v Speaker 1>no choice and so the referee called for the bell. Now,
<v Speaker 1>as Saber was celebrating his win with bed Dude Tito
<v Speaker 1>and Mikey Nichols, the Young Bucks music hit. They made
<v Speaker 1>their way out because their match was up. Next. They
<v Speaker 1>were wrestling Bad Dude Tito and Mikey Nickles. Oh and
<v Speaker 1>the Bucks won that one with the meltzer driver again.
<v Speaker 1>I don't really have a whole lot to say about it.
<v Speaker 1>It was a perfectly solid wrestling match and the Young
<v Speaker 1>Bucks won to the surprise of no one. After that
<v Speaker 1>match was over, Saber came back out. He attacked the
<v Speaker 1>Bucks until Kenny Omega sprinted out to the ring. He
<v Speaker 1>had Jack Perry with him, Omega and Saber. They had
<v Speaker 1>a face off. Omega hit a snapdragon he was teasing
<v Speaker 1>a v trigger. Tito, though, pulled Saber out of the
<v Speaker 1>ring to safety. Omega took the mic. He said nothing
<v Speaker 1>person all. He takes that as a warm up. But
<v Speaker 1>Sunday made the best man win and once he wins,
<v Speaker 1>he's out for redemption. There's that word again. Kenny is
<v Speaker 1>out for redemption. And after Sunday everyone will forget about Saber,
<v Speaker 1>just like they did last year. So they play Kenny's
<v Speaker 1>music and sabers like that and I give me the mic.
<v Speaker 1>He's motioning for the mic, so he gets to the microphone.
<v Speaker 1>They stop the music and he tells Omega try to
<v Speaker 1>stay out of the hospital, and he drops the mic.
<v Speaker 1>And I will point out to you that that is
<v Speaker 1>the closest thing to a promo that Zach Saber Junior
<v Speaker 1>has cut in the entire build, which has been all
<v Speaker 1>of two weeks to this match on Sunday. Now, I know,
<v Speaker 1>to most people who just want to see the two
<v Speaker 1>of them wrestle as like a dream match. To them, Oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna be a great wrestling match, they don't give
<v Speaker 1>a shit. But I think that's kind of ridiculous. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you got a big match like this. These are the
<v Speaker 1>only word we've heard really from Zach Saber Junior quite
<v Speaker 1>the promo this man is. We had Queen Ami Nada
<v Speaker 1>against the reigning Ring of Honor Women's Television champion Red
<v Speaker 1>Velvet TBS title Survival of the Fittest Qualifier. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it was in a match with Red Velvet last month
<v Speaker 1>on collision that Willow Knightingingale hurt her shoulder, which is
<v Speaker 1>what led to all of this in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>It's what led to the championship being vacated. Ami Nada
<v Speaker 1>took a rough bump at one point on her previously
<v Speaker 1>injured neck and possibly now once again injured neck. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I think it was more selling than anything else.
<v Speaker 1>Nigel McGinnis also drew attention to it on commentary, said
<v Speaker 1>that was kind of an awkward landing. I mean, it
<v Speaker 1>didn't look like anything egregious. She was grabbing at her
<v Speaker 1>neck again. I assume she was just selling. You know,
<v Speaker 1>she had the Kinisio tape on her neck. Velvet landed
<v Speaker 1>a frog splash at one point right across the back
<v Speaker 1>as Ami Nada was laying flat on the mat and
<v Speaker 1>she started ripping the athletic tape off of Aami Nada's neck.
<v Speaker 1>So in return, she blasted Red Velvet with a forearm.
<v Speaker 1>Velvet hit a kick to the gut. She went for
<v Speaker 1>a roundhouse kick. She missed it and that allowed Ami
<v Speaker 1>Nada to hit her off with her head, which is
<v Speaker 1>that running shin kick as Red Velvet was seated up
<v Speaker 1>against the ropes, and she pinned Red Velvet to advance
<v Speaker 1>to the big elimination match next week. So we have
<v Speaker 1>five of the six spots now have been filled. Queen
<v Speaker 1>Ami Nada is in there. I will tell you this
<v Speaker 1>was a battle between these two women. I thought this
<v Speaker 1>was good stuff. It really was. I thought they went
<v Speaker 1>out there, they had a good match. You know. Ami
<v Speaker 1>Nada was getting a decent push before the neck injury
<v Speaker 1>knocked her out of the ring late last year. I
<v Speaker 1>think it was right before Blooding Guts, so she wasn't
<v Speaker 1>able to be in there. Otherwise she would have been
<v Speaker 1>a part of it. And she's only now. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I know she came back a few months ago, but
<v Speaker 1>only now. It feels like she's really starting to get
<v Speaker 1>back into a rhythm. I could see her being a
<v Speaker 1>dark horse pick to win that TBS title next week. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I would like to see Persephone with it. I you know,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not I wouldn't say I'm overly confident one way
<v Speaker 1>or the other. As far as who's going to walk
<v Speaker 1>out with that championship, I'm pretty confident it's not going
<v Speaker 1>to be you know, Statlander, It's not gonna be Harley Cameron, Shida.
<v Speaker 1>I think Shidah has a chance. I think Persephone has
<v Speaker 1>a chance. I think Ami Nada has a chance. But
<v Speaker 1>if Ami Nada was to take it, and this was
<v Speaker 1>going to be the start of a renewed push for her,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't mind seeing that. And Red Velvet I got
<v Speaker 1>to give her a shout out too. I was very
<v Speaker 1>impressed by Red Velvet here. She's definitely upped her game.
<v Speaker 1>She's been around for a while now. I mean I
<v Speaker 1>can remember her time when she was tagging with Cody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, she's been there basically from if not day one,
<v Speaker 1>almost day one in this company, and in that time
<v Speaker 1>she's come a long way. Ridet was backstage with the
<v Speaker 1>Young Bucks, who were talking about their three way tag
<v Speaker 1>team match at Forbidden Door this weekend, saying momentum is
<v Speaker 1>on their side. They're on their way back to the
<v Speaker 1>aw tag team titles. All of a sudden, they hear
<v Speaker 1>a commotion nearby, and the camera pans over and we
<v Speaker 1>see Adam Copeland and Christian Cage brawling with David Finley
<v Speaker 1>and Clark Connors and Cope and Cage or coping Christian.
<v Speaker 1>They stopped for a moment to look at the Bucks.
<v Speaker 1>The Bucks look at them, they kind of acknowledge each other,
<v Speaker 1>and then they just continued their brawl, which spilled over
<v Speaker 1>into the makeup area. Connor's pulled a makeup lady in
<v Speaker 1>front of him like a human shield, and then Finley
<v Speaker 1>sprayed hair spray into the eyes of the baby faces,
<v Speaker 1>and the Dogs wrapped cables around their necks and left
<v Speaker 1>them laying again. This is one of those matches on
<v Speaker 1>Sunday that I really just don't give a shit about
<v Speaker 1>I don't care about any of this. You know, we
<v Speaker 1>know the Dogs are not winning the titles. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it's just one of those kind of setup matches to
<v Speaker 1>give Cope and Christian a win on their way to
<v Speaker 1>Montreal next month and then Wembley in August, and those
<v Speaker 1>are really going to be the too big. I don't
<v Speaker 1>even know what their match will be at Redemption, but
<v Speaker 1>it's Montreal, so you know they're going to be on
<v Speaker 1>that show. You know they're going to be defending their
<v Speaker 1>titles against somebody. Those are the two big matches that
<v Speaker 1>they have coming out. This is just a bump in
<v Speaker 1>the road, and the Dogs were frankly bungled from the
<v Speaker 1>moment they came into the company, and I just I
<v Speaker 1>don't look at them as anything that. Yeah, they're certainly
<v Speaker 1>not portrayed as anything that is characterized as an important
<v Speaker 1>act on the show. So it's a match on the
<v Speaker 1>card on Sunday, That's how I'm looking at it. Main
<v Speaker 1>event was Kenowski to cash the defending the International Championship
<v Speaker 1>against Ricochet. Takesha caught Ricochet going for a handspring back elbow,
<v Speaker 1>he put him down with a blue thunderbomb, and then
<v Speaker 1>the champion hit a tombstone pile driver. Then he picked
<v Speaker 1>up Ricochet to deliver a Germany. Immediately after Ricochet rallied.
<v Speaker 1>He hit vertigo for a near fall. So Ricochet lowered
<v Speaker 1>the knee pad he was gonna hit his own version
<v Speaker 1>of a power drive knee, which he did, and then
<v Speaker 1>he headed up top for a shooting star press and
<v Speaker 1>he landed it, but Takeshta kicked out, so Ricochet, though
<v Speaker 1>he took forever when he was scaling the ropes, headed
<v Speaker 1>back up top and so Takesha was able to cut
<v Speaker 1>him off and he delivered an avalanche belly to belly suplex,
<v Speaker 1>but Ricochet landed on his feet and he missed the
<v Speaker 1>spirit gun. Takeshta try to power drive knee. Ricochet, though
<v Speaker 1>jumped up for a hurri Can run, but he got
<v Speaker 1>planted with a power bomb for a two count. Takesha
<v Speaker 1>was going for the power drive knee when Ricochet pulled
<v Speaker 1>referee Paul Turner in front of him. Kind of that
<v Speaker 1>allowed Ricoshet to hit a head butt into a Rico
<v Speaker 1>assault for a near fall. He wanted a spirit gun.
<v Speaker 1>He got turned inside out though with a lariat, and
<v Speaker 1>finally Takesha hit the power Drive knee and the Raging
<v Speaker 1>Fire for the Wind to retain the championship. Good main event,
<v Speaker 1>good main event. Not as I didn't love this the
<v Speaker 1>way that I love that Mark Davis will Osbury match
<v Speaker 1>in the main event a few weeks ago. But this
<v Speaker 1>was good. Anytime we get Takesha in the main event.
<v Speaker 1>I can't complain Ricochet at this point. You know, you know,
<v Speaker 1>he's not really involved in anything specific, he doesn't have
<v Speaker 1>a match on Sunday, but you know, Ricochet can always
<v Speaker 1>be relied on for being able to go out there
<v Speaker 1>and have a good match Takesha. I mean, it's not
<v Speaker 1>like he had to worry about carrying the load here Takeshta.
<v Speaker 1>He's a very able bodied opponent. You kind of figured
<v Speaker 1>you were going to get a good match out of
<v Speaker 1>these two. Takesha was heading towards the back after the
<v Speaker 1>match when Mark Briscoe's music played and he came out.
<v Speaker 1>The two of them shook hands. They're going to be
<v Speaker 1>on the same team on Sunday in the main event.
<v Speaker 1>So again to Kesha in the main event tonight to
<v Speaker 1>catch it in the main event on Sunday. Briscoe got
<v Speaker 1>in the ring by himself, and we were beyond the
<v Speaker 1>top of the hour at this point. He said he
<v Speaker 1>and his friends were ready to have some fun in
<v Speaker 1>the cage. Said they have a bit of a reputation
<v Speaker 1>in these types of matches. This has more on the line, though,
<v Speaker 1>because with a win here he can earn himself a
<v Speaker 1>shot at the AW World Championship. Brisco took issue with
<v Speaker 1>mjf's claim that he's not championship material. Brisco said that
<v Speaker 1>MJF he beat his ass once, which he did. That
<v Speaker 1>was it all out last year, and he knows he
<v Speaker 1>can do it again. Brisco said he's going to head
<v Speaker 1>into battle with brothers that he would die for and
<v Speaker 1>they would die for him. Meanwhile, MJF has the don
<v Speaker 1>Kallis fan and he doubts that any of them would
<v Speaker 1>piss on MJF if he was on fire. So don
<v Speaker 1>Kallis walked out. He distracted Briscoe and this is where
<v Speaker 1>we got the big ending here where everybody gets to
<v Speaker 1>come out and hit a big move and do a
<v Speaker 1>big spot. MJF shows up behind Briscoe and attacks him.
<v Speaker 1>Brisco though he regroups pretty quick, sets up for a
<v Speaker 1>Jay driller. But here comes Kyle Fletcher and he cuts
<v Speaker 1>him off, delivers a brain buster to briscoe Takeshta comes
<v Speaker 1>back out. He hits Fletcher with a raging fire, but
<v Speaker 1>then o'catt is out there and Okada drops Takeshta with
<v Speaker 1>a rain maker. Kyle O'Riley enters. He puts Ocada in
<v Speaker 1>the ankle lock. Kevin Knight breaks that up with a
<v Speaker 1>springboard clothes line into the ring. Darby Allen shows up.
<v Speaker 1>He hits the ring. He drops Kevin Knight with a
<v Speaker 1>scorpion death drop and he quickly goes up. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to go for a coffin drop, but Jake Doyle catches
<v Speaker 1>him and plants him with a boss man slam on
<v Speaker 1>the way down. And so Doyle got the better of
<v Speaker 1>Roderick Strong when he came out at Orange. Cassidy comes out.
<v Speaker 1>He hits Doyle with a pair of orange punches. Roddy
<v Speaker 1>then supplex Doyle. MJF hits Cassidy with a kick to
<v Speaker 1>the balls. Brisco sets up MJF for a j driller,
<v Speaker 1>but here comes Andrade. What's he gonna do? And androde
<v Speaker 1>Alidelo shows up. He breaks things up. MJF and Androtti.
<v Speaker 1>They start arguing and they start shoving, and Don Kallis
<v Speaker 1>is out there. He's on the apron trying to calm
<v Speaker 1>down Androtti now Androti is holding Brisco. MJF pulls out
<v Speaker 1>the Dynamite Diamond ring and he goes to blast Brisco
<v Speaker 1>with the ring. Brisco ducks and MJF hits and knocks
<v Speaker 1>out Andrade instead. So he's looking down at Andrade and
<v Speaker 1>he's calling him an idiot, and Brisco hits MJF finally
<v Speaker 1>with the J Driller and Team Briscoe stands tall to
<v Speaker 1>close out the show. So last week it was Team
<v Speaker 1>MJF standing tall, this week it was the Babyfaces standing
<v Speaker 1>tall under normal circumstances in wrestling one oh one logic,
<v Speaker 1>that might be bad news for the Babyfaces. There's no
<v Speaker 1>way the Babyfaces lose on Sunday. There's there's zero percent
<v Speaker 1>chance that Team Brisco does not win this match on Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>zero percent for a couple of different reasons. Well, for one,
<v Speaker 1>we know there's gonna be a World Championship match between
<v Speaker 1>MJF and Mark Brisco. They've already built it up enough
<v Speaker 1>to where they have to deliver it. So his team
<v Speaker 1>has to win. But everything that's been going on with
<v Speaker 1>MJF and Androte Androti is going to be the death
<v Speaker 1>knell for this team on Sunday. And I was figuring,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Jake Doyle is in there to take the
<v Speaker 1>losing fall for his team. It may well be MJF.
<v Speaker 1>Can't rule out that MJF himself may take the losing fall,
<v Speaker 1>but I just figured that's why Doyle was added to
<v Speaker 1>this team. But Androde, I think is ultimately like they're
<v Speaker 1>just not going to be able to co exist and
<v Speaker 1>it's going to lead to their downfall. Androde already feels
<v Speaker 1>like he's got one foot out the door anyway with
<v Speaker 1>this faction. But that is how dynam I went off
<v Speaker 1>the air. If you were looking for a lot of
<v Speaker 1>good wrestling matches, you got eight of them. Got a
<v Speaker 1>lot of wrestling on this show, not a whole lot else.
<v Speaker 1>Like last week, for example, we had this great face
<v Speaker 1>to face promo and the interaction between Will Osprey and
<v Speaker 1>Swerve Strickland. We didn't have anything like that on the
<v Speaker 1>show this week. A very, very wrestling heavy show, which
<v Speaker 1>is fine, but it's not very exciting when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to really kind of diving deep into a discussion about
<v Speaker 1>what was seen on this television show. It's just pretty
<v Speaker 1>straightforward shit. But I for one will be very happy
<v Speaker 1>when we are beyond the Forbidden Door season and we
<v Speaker 1>can move on to Redemption, which is this new pay
<v Speaker 1>per view they have coming up next month. Let me
<v Speaker 1>run through this Forbidden Door card here. This is how
<v Speaker 1>it stands at the moment. I'll give my predictions as
<v Speaker 1>we go along here. The pay per view is on
<v Speaker 1>Sunday seven o'clock pre show, eight pm main card. I
<v Speaker 1>will have my full thoughts and review on the show.
<v Speaker 1>Will save that as an exclusive for the Uncrowned Wrestling
<v Speaker 1>Show next Tuesday. I will not be live on Monday morning,
<v Speaker 1>but we have the buy in pre show. We have
<v Speaker 1>the Women's Tag Team Championships on the line. Megan Bain
<v Speaker 1>and Lena Cross going to be defending against thunder Rosa
<v Speaker 1>and Olympia out of CMLL and that will be a
<v Speaker 1>win for Divine Dominion. Divine Dominion needs to hold onto
<v Speaker 1>those belts at least until Wembley so that they can
<v Speaker 1>drop them to the Brawling Birds the Young Bucks. They're
<v Speaker 1>going to be taking on El Sky Team, which is
<v Speaker 1>the team of Mistico and Mascririderata and Unbound team of Shingo,
<v Speaker 1>Takagi and Titan should be a win for the Young Bucks.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, clearly they're being built up for a tag
<v Speaker 1>team Championship match. I just think it's more important for
<v Speaker 1>them to pick up the win. The newly crowned IWGP
<v Speaker 1>Global Champion Shota Umino will put his brand new belt
<v Speaker 1>on the line against Pack of the Death Riders and
<v Speaker 1>he will retain that championship because he just won it.
<v Speaker 1>He ain't losing it to Pack. Kenny Omega against Zach
<v Speaker 1>Saber Junior. That will be a win for Kenny Omega,
<v Speaker 1>who very clear to me, is going to be challenging
<v Speaker 1>MJF for the World Championship in the main event at Redemption.
<v Speaker 1>It would be silly for him to come out of
<v Speaker 1>this with a loss. World Tag Team Championships on the line.
<v Speaker 1>Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defend against the Dogs. This
<v Speaker 1>will be a win for Cope and Christian Continental title
<v Speaker 1>on the line. John Moxley defends against Bandido. I. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know how many of you heard the comments that
<v Speaker 1>Bully Ray made Unbusted Open Radio the other day. The
<v Speaker 1>very dumb comments about John Moxley, where you know. He
<v Speaker 1>said that John Moxley is playing out his pro wrestling
<v Speaker 1>fantasies on television. He's got Tony Kahan's here and he
<v Speaker 1>wants to be Terry Funk. He says he would kick
<v Speaker 1>the shit out of Moxley. He would beat the living
<v Speaker 1>shit out of him, is what he said. And I
<v Speaker 1>said this on on Crowded. I mean, it sounds to
<v Speaker 1>me like Bully is shooting his own angle, or more
<v Speaker 1>likely trying to take some of the heat off his boy,
<v Speaker 1>his fellow Busted Open co host Tommy Dreamer, who has
<v Speaker 1>not had a very good week. But then Josh Barnett responded,
<v Speaker 1>the former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett, and he's very
<v Speaker 1>good friends with John Moxley, so he was sticking up
<v Speaker 1>for him, and he said on X he said, interesting,
<v Speaker 1>take here, Bully mox can handle himself just fine, so
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't need me to fight any battles for him.
<v Speaker 1>But if you ever have the itch to feel what
<v Speaker 1>it would be like to have your ass kicked so
<v Speaker 1>thoroughly to the point of epic humiliation, I can help
<v Speaker 1>you with that. I can not only beat the shit
<v Speaker 1>out of you, but do so in a way as
<v Speaker 1>to make your ass kicking legendary for you. Anytime just ask,
<v Speaker 1>I would do an emergency live stream here on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>just to review the shoot fight between Josh Barnett and
<v Speaker 1>Bully Ray. This week's episode is sponsored by wis. It

<v Speaker 1>com slash Harmony. We have the AW Women's Championship on
<v Speaker 1>the line. Tekla is defending her title against Starlight Kid,
<v Speaker 1>representing Stardom. Starlight Kid is very good and I believe
<v Speaker 1>Tony Khan has said that she is his favorite wrestler
<v Speaker 1>outside of AW, either outside of AW or outside of
<v Speaker 1>the US. I think he said outside of AW. So
<v Speaker 1>she's coming in and that's kind of a big deal,
<v Speaker 1>you know, as far as a stardom representative, right, she's
<v Speaker 1>a big one. And they've been telling the story now
<v Speaker 1>really since Tecla came into the company of her being
<v Speaker 1>fired from Japan and beating up the president over there,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Taro Okada. They had footage on the show
<v Speaker 1>tonight was showing the angle from the show. Like within
<v Speaker 1>the last week, she showed up in Stardom and again
<v Speaker 1>attacked the president of the company and took a took
<v Speaker 1>a the shears and tried to shave his head. Every
<v Speaker 1>opportunity that this woman has had in the build up
<v Speaker 1>to this, to this pay per view, she has taken
<v Speaker 1>every opportunity to shit on Stardom, literally spits on the logo.
<v Speaker 1>She spits on this company, talk smack about them every
<v Speaker 1>single week. And I'm like, man, you're gonna make star
<v Speaker 1>look really bad here if they send Starlight Kid in
<v Speaker 1>there and she loses to Techla. But this also ties
<v Speaker 1>into some stuff I'll talk about here in a second,
<v Speaker 1>with the owen Hart Tournament and where I think things
<v Speaker 1>may be going with the championship. I'm going with Starlight
<v Speaker 1>Kid to win the aw Women's World Championship on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>I think she beats Techla. I think she beats Tecla.
<v Speaker 1>She wins the title and she gets a short run
<v Speaker 1>with it, And no, I don't think she goes to
<v Speaker 1>Wembley with it. It's gonna be a short run, but
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna and maybe I'm I'm putting myself out there
<v Speaker 1>on a limb, but I think she's gonna win the title.
<v Speaker 1>I just think that stardom has been so thoroughly buried
<v Speaker 1>in these promos and everything that Techla's been doing, that
<v Speaker 1>if you were going to throw one of these companies
<v Speaker 1>a real bone on this show instead of just having
<v Speaker 1>aw people win, it would be here. It would be
<v Speaker 1>a show of good faith, and you put the championship
<v Speaker 1>on Starlight Kid. That leads into the Owen Hart Foundation tournaments.
<v Speaker 1>We have the finals for both tournaments on Sunday. We'll
<v Speaker 1>start with the women. We have Mercedes Monet against Maya World,
<v Speaker 1>two women who were not even in this tournament when
<v Speaker 1>it began. They were not in the bracket. It was
<v Speaker 1>a series of circumstances that really came to be that
<v Speaker 1>led us to where we are now. Willow got hurt.
<v Speaker 1>They needed a wildcard entry to face Alex Windsor. Tony
<v Speaker 1>Kahn picked up the phone. He called Mercedes Monet, who
<v Speaker 1>was not supposed to be in this tournament. On the
<v Speaker 1>other side of the bracket, you got Maya World, who
<v Speaker 1>had to step in as well because Serie had an
<v Speaker 1>injury that she was not medically cleared for, so she
<v Speaker 1>replaced SuRie. I wonder if the original idea here was
<v Speaker 1>to do Willow and Serie in the finals of this tournament,
<v Speaker 1>with Willow Nightingale going to Wembley to challenge for the
<v Speaker 1>World Championship against Tecla. Feel like to me, that may
<v Speaker 1>have been the final, that that may have been the
<v Speaker 1>direction here, but that went out the window. And I
<v Speaker 1>mentioned earlier how Maya got this spot, and she got
<v Speaker 1>the win over sky Blue and that was kind of
<v Speaker 1>a big upset, and then she got the bigger upset
<v Speaker 1>over Athena on Collision last weekend. And so when I
<v Speaker 1>heard about the taping results and people were like, Sola monster,
<v Speaker 1>because I spent all this time last week talking about
<v Speaker 1>the big match to do in the finals, it's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be Mercedes, It's gonna be Athena. Clearly that's the match
<v Speaker 1>to do. And they taped the show last week and
<v Speaker 1>people were like, you're not gonna You're not gonna believe
<v Speaker 1>who won the match. And I read the results and
<v Speaker 1>I was like, you gotta be fucking kidding me, and
<v Speaker 1>I watched the match and yeah, they had a good match,
<v Speaker 1>and it was this big shocking moment, you know, on Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not happy that we have been deprived of a
<v Speaker 1>Mercedes Athena final in this tournament. Clearly, the two biggest
<v Speaker 1>matches that you could do at Forbidden Door in these
<v Speaker 1>tournaments would be Swerving Osprey Mercedes in Atheno. So I'm
<v Speaker 1>not happy that we were robbed of that. However, this
<v Speaker 1>is where we are now, and Tony Khan has an
<v Speaker 1>opportunity if he takes advantage of it, to at least
<v Speaker 1>try to create a new Star Maya world right now
<v Speaker 1>has a lot of people talking about it. But is
<v Speaker 1>that going to be the case six weeks from now
<v Speaker 1>If she goes in there on Sunday and she loses,
<v Speaker 1>is she forgotten about and she just kind of goes
<v Speaker 1>back to whatever whatever role that she had before, or
<v Speaker 1>is he really going to try to take advantage of
<v Speaker 1>this and parlay this into a really truly feel good
<v Speaker 1>story that carries over into London. And as I look
<v Speaker 1>at this, and I mentioned I think Starlight Kid wins
<v Speaker 1>the championship. I the way I see it this playing
<v Speaker 1>out I think Tony takes this all the way to
<v Speaker 1>the very end. I think Maya picks up another shock
<v Speaker 1>win on Sunday and beats Mercedes. And one of the
<v Speaker 1>other reasons why I feel this way, and you saw
<v Speaker 1>it even in her promo tonight, in in that video
<v Speaker 1>package when Mercedes was cutting that promo and she had
<v Speaker 1>her Owen Heart belt. She won this tournament last year,
<v Speaker 1>so technically she still has that time. She doesn't defend
<v Speaker 1>it per se, She's defending it in the tournament. She's
<v Speaker 1>trying to retain that belt. In the tournament. She's got
<v Speaker 1>one belt left. She's lost every other championship that she's had,
<v Speaker 1>thirteen fucking belts at one point simultaneously, twelve of them
<v Speaker 1>are gone. She's got one left. It really, when you
<v Speaker 1>think about it, wouldn't make a whole lot of sense
<v Speaker 1>to rob her of the other twelve, But then she
<v Speaker 1>keeps this one. So I feel like it kind of
<v Speaker 1>works where she finally loses that last belt on Sunday
<v Speaker 1>and you give Maya world the feel good win. She
<v Speaker 1>punches her ticket to go to Wembley Stadium and she
<v Speaker 1>may well be the next aw Women's World Champion. But
<v Speaker 1>it's not Maya World against Tekla at Wembley or Maya
<v Speaker 1>World against Starlight Kid. I think Starlight Kid wins the
<v Speaker 1>belt again, this is my conspiracy theory. Here, Starlight Kid
<v Speaker 1>wins the belt. Mercedes gets a title match at Redemption,
<v Speaker 1>beat Starlight Kid on the July pay per view to
<v Speaker 1>win the championship, goes into Wembley as the defending champion.
<v Speaker 1>We get a rematch between Mercedes and Maya World. And
<v Speaker 1>you've also established that Maya World can beat Mercedes because
<v Speaker 1>she already did it Forbidden Door. She did it once,
<v Speaker 1>she could do it again, so at least it gives
<v Speaker 1>her that level of credibility. She would be going into
<v Speaker 1>Wembley in this case with wins over Athena and Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>back to back. That right there should at least make
<v Speaker 1>her enough of a player in people's eyes where they
<v Speaker 1>at least give her a chance to win the belt
<v Speaker 1>on that show. And I would not expect her to
<v Speaker 1>win the belt. I would not put the belt on her.
<v Speaker 1>Mercedes would beat her in the rematch. But this is
<v Speaker 1>how I see things playing out. You know, you gotta
<v Speaker 1>sometimes you gotta think outside the box and kind of
<v Speaker 1>go with your gut. This is just a feeling I have.
<v Speaker 1>This is this is just kind of how I see
<v Speaker 1>things playing out. I think Maya wins on Sunday, and
<v Speaker 1>if Tony Kahn is able to create a new, a
<v Speaker 1>legitimate new star in that division out of it, then hey,
<v Speaker 1>good for her. I don't know if it's gonna work
<v Speaker 1>out that way or not, but the journey that she
<v Speaker 1>has taken from where she was a year ago to
<v Speaker 1>where she is now is pretty It's pretty incredible stuff,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I'm happy for her. Even if she loses
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday, it doesn't mean that he still can't try
<v Speaker 1>to make her a new star, right She's already been
<v Speaker 1>established by picking up a couple of shock wins. Even
<v Speaker 1>if she loses on Sunday, it doesn't mean it has
<v Speaker 1>to be the end of the road for her. But boy,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to mean so much more. If she actually
<v Speaker 1>goes all the way and wins this tournament and Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>is beltless, then she could finally challenge for the world
<v Speaker 1>title and win it. But you've got to unload this
<v Speaker 1>last belt first. Kind of makes sense. In the other
<v Speaker 1>oh and Final, we have will Osprey against werv Strickland,
<v Speaker 1>this I'm sure is going to be just an outstanding match.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be insanity. There's gonna be tons of kickouts
<v Speaker 1>and near falls, and I think pretty much everybody and
<v Speaker 1>their mother and their father and the fucking stranger on
<v Speaker 1>the street figures that will Ospury is gonna win this match.
<v Speaker 1>And this is one of those situations where even though
<v Speaker 1>it's predictable, predictable is good. In this case, predictable is
<v Speaker 1>the way to go. This can only go one way.
<v Speaker 1>This is gonna be a will Osprey win. Everything that
<v Speaker 1>they have done, every story that they have I've tried
<v Speaker 1>to tell with this man since he came back from
<v Speaker 1>the injury, it's all leading to this moment. It's all
<v Speaker 1>leading to him being the number one contender in London
<v Speaker 1>at Wembley. He used to work as a fifteen year
<v Speaker 1>old boy outside of Wembley Stadium, right, It's all building
<v Speaker 1>to this show in August with him going for the championship.
<v Speaker 1>It can be no other way. So this will be
<v Speaker 1>a will Ospury win. And then we have in the
<v Speaker 1>main event of the show, the twelve man cage match
<v Speaker 1>six on six Team Briscoe against Team MJF. So it's
<v Speaker 1>Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, Orange, Cassidy Darby, Allen
<v Speaker 1>and Kenoski takeshta how many people can we fit into
<v Speaker 1>one match at the same time taking on MJF and
<v Speaker 1>we have Kevin Knight and who else is in here?
<v Speaker 1>We have MJF, We have Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake
<v Speaker 1>Doyle and androte Elitelo. This will be a win for
<v Speaker 1>Team brisco he can get his championship match at Beach Break.
<v Speaker 1>And then we move on to Kenny Omega and MJF
<v Speaker 1>in Montreal at Redemption for the AW World Title. And
<v Speaker 1>as I sit here now, it sure feels to me
<v Speaker 1>like Kenny Omega is going to get his redemption and
<v Speaker 1>going to win the world Championship. And we're looking at
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega and will Ospray at all In And then
<v Speaker 1>the question becomes, what does MJF do if MJF is
<v Speaker 1>not involved in that match like a three way, which
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't do. I think a one on one in
<v Speaker 1>that Wembley made event, a one on one is the
<v Speaker 1>way to go. Then what does MJF do. MJF and
<v Speaker 1>a lot of his promos and he didn't do it tonight,
<v Speaker 1>but in a lot of his recent promos he has
<v Speaker 1>mentioned Hangman and he's had a nice laugh at his expense.
<v Speaker 1>I do wonder if they're going to bring back Hangman
<v Speaker 1>before the show and have another match with him in MJF.
<v Speaker 1>To me, that doesn't really appeal to me, because we've
<v Speaker 1>already seen it multiple times. The last match they had
<v Speaker 1>was that Texas Deathmatch. What else could they possibly do
<v Speaker 1>to each other? You can't top what you did in
<v Speaker 1>that match. To run it back without that stipulation and
<v Speaker 1>without a title on the line wouldn't make a whole
<v Speaker 1>lot of sense to me. We were talking about it
<v Speaker 1>on TNT last night and then JD reminded me because
<v Speaker 1>there's been rumors. Yeah, he mentioned Mick Foley, and I
<v Speaker 1>was like, oh my god, you can't discount the possibility.
<v Speaker 1>I one hundred percent, one hundred percent McK foley will
<v Speaker 1>wrestle for AW and not just once like he will
<v Speaker 1>wrestle multiple times. I guarantee you, it's just a matter
<v Speaker 1>of win. He said recently in an interview. Maybe maybe
<v Speaker 1>he was on Ariel Helwani. Maybe a couple of years
<v Speaker 1>from now, we'll look at the possibility of doing a match. Bullshit,
<v Speaker 1>he'll be in the ring well before that. Is it
<v Speaker 1>gonna be so soon that he'll be in the ring
<v Speaker 1>of Wembley. It's a big show. I suppose maybe that's
<v Speaker 1>a goal for him, right to be able to wrestle
<v Speaker 1>at Wembley Stadium in front of I mean, they're not
<v Speaker 1>gonna have anywhere close to fifty thousand people like they did,
<v Speaker 1>you know, two years ago. They'll be lucky if they
<v Speaker 1>get thirty at this point, but still it'll be a
<v Speaker 1>big crowd. MJF and Foley, I really I really hope not.
<v Speaker 1>I really really really really really hope that's not what
<v Speaker 1>the plan is here. You know what, If that is
<v Speaker 1>the plan, then fuck it. Put MJF in the Osprey
<v Speaker 1>Omega match, make it a triple threat. I take back
<v Speaker 1>everything I said before. If that's the best they would
<v Speaker 1>have for MJF, just just put him in there and
<v Speaker 1>make it a three way at that point. But that
<v Speaker 1>is the card. I'm sure they'll probably add some more
<v Speaker 1>stuff on the pre show. I don't know how many
<v Speaker 1>matches this is, but it's a lot. You're gonna get
<v Speaker 1>a lot of matches on Sunday that is your forbidden
<v Speaker 1>door lineup. Let me take a look here at what
<v Speaker 1>I think. We only have three super chats. This is
<v Speaker 1>dynamite boy. Let me tell you the dynamite stuff is
<v Speaker 1>getting more depressing by the week. Nobody gives a shit
<v Speaker 1>bender MC Sipson with a fort ninety night. We'll run
<v Speaker 1>through these real quick says. I love Athena, but I
<v Speaker 1>think she's hit the Dolf Ziggler stage for me. Tony
<v Speaker 1>Kahan refuses to do anything serious with her, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't think that he ever will. Yeah, I don't really
<v Speaker 1>understand the desire to keep her attached to that Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor Women's Championship for this long at the expense
<v Speaker 1>of doing more with her, with all the talent that
<v Speaker 1>they do have in the aw women's division, that she
<v Speaker 1>could be working with on a regular basis, not just
<v Speaker 1>every now and then. I don't understand it. I don't
<v Speaker 1>get it. I don't understand it. It's it seems like
<v Speaker 1>a complete waste to me. Yes, somebody mentioned or asked
<v Speaker 1>me something the other day about, you know, this whole
<v Speaker 1>my world thing. Could she be the one to beat
<v Speaker 1>you know, Athena to win the championship and ring of honor.
<v Speaker 1>I still feel like that's got to be Billy Starks. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they've had their story going for literally years now. So no,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that it's my world. I think that's
<v Speaker 1>a Billy Starks thing. But I agree with you. I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't understand it. Isaac says, buyer sell a back
<v Speaker 1>Rooms sequel or a TV series. I wouldn't mind a
<v Speaker 1>TV series. And misfit wrestling podcast with a five start
<v Speaker 1>and revealed their card for their own show on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>An only Starlight Kid is making the trip for Forbidden Door. Well,
<v Speaker 1>in that case, you bet make it worthwhile. If she's
<v Speaker 1>the only one going to represent stardom, then I would
<v Speaker 1>think winning the championship from the woman who has been
<v Speaker 1>trashing you and trashing your company, that would be a
<v Speaker 1>nice payoff for stardom. That's all I got for you, guys.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what else to say. This is the
<v Speaker 1>state of Wednesdays at this point. I'm gonna be live
<v Speaker 1>with you though. On Friday for SmackDown. Smackdow has already taped.
<v Speaker 1>I have not looked at the results yet, but it
<v Speaker 1>was taped yesterday in London. Because they are on their
<v Speaker 1>way to Riod for Night of Champions on Saturday, but
<v Speaker 1>I will be streaming as normal on Friday, the final
<v Speaker 1>three hours SmackDown. I'm gonna celebrate and celebrate on Friday,
<v Speaker 1>and then Saturday is Night of Champions one o'clock Eastern.
<v Speaker 1>When the show is over, I'll be live on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>for the full recap, so you'll get a podcast from
<v Speaker 1>me on Saturday and then the usual SoundOff on Sunday.
<v Speaker 1>Sunday is a very busy day wrestling wise. We got
<v Speaker 1>a TNA pay per view at four o'clock Eastern. We
<v Speaker 1>have an NXT show on the CW Network at seven
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden Door at eight, which I will be watching, not
<v Speaker 1>reviewing live though again I'll save that review for un
<v Speaker 1>Crowned next week. But if you're ready for some wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>you got a lot of it coming up this weekend,
<v Speaker 1>so get ready. Mister Ozone and May's in the chat
<v Speaker 1>and everybody else. Thank you guys, those of you who
<v Speaker 1>did join me tonight, You guys are awesome. Be well,
<v Speaker 1>stay safe, have yourseles a great rest of your night,
<v Speaker 1>and we'll be back soon to do more right here
<v Speaker 1>live on YouTube. In fact, on Fridays the next time
<v Speaker 1>that you will see me live for the SmackDown post show.
<v Speaker 1>Until then, take care, guys,
