<v Speaker 1>We also talked about Stone Cold Steve Austin. We talked
<v Speaker 1>about Austin three sixteen thirty years ago. Could there ever
<v Speaker 1>be a promo that can come close? How about what
<v Speaker 1>we just got from Sammy Z?
<v Speaker 2>How we just got from.
<v Speaker 3>Sammy C.
<v Speaker 2>How we just got from sam Actually?
<v Speaker 3>Can Sammy?
<v Speaker 2>How about what we just got?
<v Speaker 3>Servis it's business time? Baby?
<v Speaker 2>You are listening to Solo Monster Sounds up. I love you,
<v Speaker 2>fellow Mama Monster Concorde.
<v Speaker 3>I want your soul, a woman.
<v Speaker 4>You got grown ass wrestlers in the back going on Twitter.
<v Speaker 3>Come over here?
<v Speaker 2>Hot?
<v Speaker 3>Is that hot Hudson?
<v Speaker 2>You have legs?
<v Speaker 1>The week I was ninety nine percent positive it was
<v Speaker 1>just chessed up.
<v Speaker 4>Now I have been begging him for a job on
<v Speaker 4>every every platform I can, and I want to know
<v Speaker 4>the reason why.
<v Speaker 3>You won't heart me.
<v Speaker 2>This is episode nine sixty nine of The Solo Monsters
<v Speaker 2>Sounds Off. On a very busy Sunday, June twenty eighth,
<v Speaker 2>twenty twenty six, I am the Solo Monster. With three
<v Speaker 2>different events scheduled for today, starting with TNA Slammiversary pay
<v Speaker 2>per view, but just a few hours four pm Eastern
<v Speaker 2>start time for the main card followed by NXT's Great
<v Speaker 2>American Bash at seven Eastern and aw's Forbidden Door pay
<v Speaker 2>per view at eight pm, although their pre show at
<v Speaker 2>seven goes head to head with the NXT show. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>the last two hours of the NXT show will overlap
<v Speaker 2>with the first two hours of for Bitten Door, and
<v Speaker 2>I would say that it'll have no effect. That it
<v Speaker 2>probably won't. But the difference this time is that this
<v Speaker 2>is the first nxtpl airing for free on the CW network,
<v Speaker 2>So we'll see how much of a difference that makes.
<v Speaker 2>I can't imagine the hardcore sikos who want to see
<v Speaker 2>AW new Japan CMLL stardom talents are going to suddenly
<v Speaker 2>ditch the show to watch Tony DiAngelo wrestle Narroku at
<v Speaker 2>the PC. I don't think it's going to be that
<v Speaker 2>much of an issue for the AW show, But I
<v Speaker 2>can't ignore the elephant in the room. That clip that
<v Speaker 2>you heard there at the beginning of this podcast, that
<v Speaker 2>is a real clip from the Night of Champions post
<v Speaker 2>show last night from Peter Rosenberg. It was Rosenberg, Joe
<v Speaker 2>Tessitoor and Big Ee on the panel and those were
<v Speaker 2>words that actually came out of the man's mouth, comparing
<v Speaker 2>Sammy Zain's post show promo with Byron Saxton to stone
<v Speaker 2>cold old Steve Austin's King of the Ring speech in
<v Speaker 2>nineteen ninety six. Could there ever be a promo that
<v Speaker 2>could come close? And this fucking guy with a straight
<v Speaker 2>face said, yeah, how about that Sammy's Ain promo? And
<v Speaker 2>all I could say is this, I hope the paycheck
<v Speaker 2>is worth it, I really do. I can only hope
<v Speaker 2>that that was something they threw in there for him
<v Speaker 2>to say, and he didn't come up with that on
<v Speaker 2>his own. And think I cooked with this, Yes, you cooked,
<v Speaker 2>You cooked with cyanide, and now everyone's dead. I've heard
<v Speaker 2>some dumb shit in my day, but that one takes
<v Speaker 2>the kid. I mean, that wins the award and we're
<v Speaker 2>only halfway through the year. Imagine what the second half
<v Speaker 2>of the year will bring us. But yes, it is
<v Speaker 2>a day where we wake up with Sammy Zain as
<v Speaker 2>the new WWE Champion. It only took ten years, but
<v Speaker 2>he did the deal and that has created all sorts
<v Speaker 2>of questions now heading into SummerSlam, and I've got a
<v Speaker 2>lot to say about Knight of Champions, our new King
<v Speaker 2>and Queen of the Ring, where things may be headed
<v Speaker 2>for Summer Salam even before SummerSlam. But we also have
<v Speaker 2>some really sad news. I literally just talked about this
<v Speaker 2>man on the Young Crown Show on Tuesday, and now
<v Speaker 2>he's gone. Former TNA and All Japan Wrestling star Joe
<v Speaker 2>Doring had just transitioned into hospice care recently, which is
<v Speaker 2>usually a sign that the end is near. And on Friday,
<v Speaker 2>that end came and Doring passed away at the age
<v Speaker 2>of forty four, surrounded by family, including his wife Lindsay.
<v Speaker 2>Joe was first diagnosed with a brain tumor ten years ago,
<v Speaker 2>and I remember then that was when Alex Riley was
<v Speaker 2>coming after me and he was still a WWE at
<v Speaker 2>the time until he wasn't. I mean, they let him
<v Speaker 2>go like a week or two after that, but he
<v Speaker 2>went on this Twitter tirade. He was begging to come
<v Speaker 2>on the podcast and saying he would do it for
<v Speaker 2>free because he knows I probably don't have five dollars
<v Speaker 2>to my name. So I put up a video on
<v Speaker 2>YouTube asking everyone, Hey, let's all donate five dollars to
<v Speaker 2>Joe's go Funbe campaign. All right, Like, let's turn this
<v Speaker 2>negative bullshit into something positive and we raised something like
<v Speaker 2>seven or eight hundred dollars. But a lot of people
<v Speaker 2>did what they could to help support Joe at that time,
<v Speaker 2>and he did eventually beat it. He was able to
<v Speaker 2>come back to the ring. And then in twenty twenty two,
<v Speaker 2>the cancer came back. There's another tumor. He was forced
<v Speaker 2>into an early retirement. He underwent brain surgery, after which
<v Speaker 2>he developed a condition called a taxia on his right side,
<v Speaker 2>which impacted his mobility and he ended up in a wheelchair,
<v Speaker 2>and then came a third brain tumor, and the news
<v Speaker 2>had grown very quiet since then until his sister in
<v Speaker 2>law posted on his GoFundMe that Dooring was headed for
<v Speaker 2>hospice and so, I mean, you just look everything he
<v Speaker 2>went through over this decade and cancer put that man
<v Speaker 2>through the wringer. And you fight, and you fight and
<v Speaker 2>you fight, but there's only so much the body can take.
<v Speaker 2>He was at one time under a WWE developmental deal,
<v Speaker 2>but before that, he came to Japan as an exchange
<v Speaker 2>student in two thousand and seven to join All Japan
<v Speaker 2>Pro Wrestling, which is where he found his greatest success
<v Speaker 2>that first year. In fact, he entered their Real World
<v Speaker 2>Tag League tournament with Kigi Muto as his tag team partner,
<v Speaker 2>and they won it, a tournament that had been won
<v Speaker 2>by greats. I mean you talk about great names Terry
<v Speaker 2>and Dori, Funk, Junior Bruiser, Brody and Stan Hansen, Misawa
<v Speaker 2>and Kobashi and so Doring won it on his first
<v Speaker 2>try the year that he debuted for them, and then
<v Speaker 2>together he and Muto won the tag team titles the
<v Speaker 2>following year. He won their Triple Crown not once but twice,
<v Speaker 2>first in twenty fourteen and then again in twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 2>which would have been after the first brain tumors. Only
<v Speaker 2>seven foreign born talents to ever win the Triple Crown,
<v Speaker 2>and he is in some very esteemed company names like
<v Speaker 2>Terry Gordy, Stan Hansen, Doctor Debt, Steve Williams in Vader.
<v Speaker 2>He signed with TNA in twenty twenty. He became a
<v Speaker 2>two time tag team champion there until his cancer came back.
<v Speaker 2>If you watch his work more so in the later
<v Speaker 2>half or later part of his career, he reminded me
<v Speaker 2>very much of a Stan Hansen with his look in
<v Speaker 2>his in ring style, like the rugged cowboy that was
<v Speaker 2>kind of the look and the gimmick that he was
<v Speaker 2>going for. He should have enjoyed even more success than
<v Speaker 2>he had, but more importantly, he should have enjoyed many
<v Speaker 2>more years of life with his wife and family. And
<v Speaker 2>it sucks what happened to him, and so I'm very
<v Speaker 2>sorry to hear that. And the only other thing to
<v Speaker 2>say about it really is just two words, and I'll
<v Speaker 2>say it every time. Fuck cancer, then now and forever.
<v Speaker 2>Fuck cancer. If you'd like to make a PayPal donation
<v Speaker 2>and support the podcast, I do appreciate all the love
<v Speaker 2>and support you guys throw my way. It's always very
<v Speaker 2>much something that I take to heart, and especially you
<v Speaker 2>know these days. Things right now just I think in
<v Speaker 2>wrestling feel very slow and very dense. Usually there's like
<v Speaker 2>a post WrestleMania lull and it's just sort of lingering,
<v Speaker 2>and then you have all this other shit going on,
<v Speaker 2>and times are tough for everybody. So I really do
<v Speaker 2>appreciate it. But if you would like to support, you
<v Speaker 2>can go to the Solomonster dot com. You'll see the
<v Speaker 2>PayPal link at the top of the page. Ten dollars
<v Speaker 2>or more, we'll get you a nickname and a shout
<v Speaker 2>out here. I want to say thank you to Ms
<v Speaker 2>Madness Michelle Mills. Always appreciate hearing from Michelle. Thank you.
<v Speaker 2>I hope you're having a good one as well as
<v Speaker 2>the Portland pop star Paul Hamilton. And how about this name.
<v Speaker 2>We haven't heard this name in a while, James Hollywood Herrera.
<v Speaker 2>What's going on, brother, It's been a while since we've
<v Speaker 2>had him in the role. Call here, Big b Bryant, Bessera,
<v Speaker 2>the Diamond Dallas Dance Machine, Harrison's Soep, Velvet Revolver, Robert Murray,
<v Speaker 2>the Chicago Slayer, Willie Iicherd Knight Stalker, and I f
<v Speaker 2>Al Safar killshot Keith Hart. We got big Homie John Burton,
<v Speaker 2>who is still basking. He says, in the glow of
<v Speaker 2>the Knicks championship. Well enjoy, I mean you've got another
<v Speaker 2>eleven months or so, right, you may as well take
<v Speaker 2>full advantage of it and all day Aaron Koiner, thank you, brother,
<v Speaker 2>Glad you enjoyed the content. Last week I spent half
<v Speaker 2>an hour covering TNA and the Tommy Dreamer stuff. I
<v Speaker 2>noticed Eric Bischoff, who just last year sounded very optimistic
<v Speaker 2>that TNA was just one good TV deal away from
<v Speaker 2>overtaking aw is the number two promotion in the world
<v Speaker 2>that Eric Bischoff on his podcast is now saying that
<v Speaker 2>TNA is and I quote one step closer to the gray.
<v Speaker 2>It was like, wow, boy, he went from zero to
<v Speaker 2>one hundred and back down to zero real quick, didn't he.
<v Speaker 2>That's quite the flip flop. I haven't seen a flip
<v Speaker 2>flop like that since the last time I went shopping
<v Speaker 2>for summer close at Old Navy. Anyway. Dreamer has since
<v Speaker 2>appeared on Busted Open Radio to open up a bit
<v Speaker 2>more about his departure. It has led to an unofficial
<v Speaker 2>response from people within TNA pushing back on some of
<v Speaker 2>the things that Dreamer had to say. Hat tip to
<v Speaker 2>se scoops dot Com for the transcription. Dreamer said, it's
<v Speaker 2>not my job anymore. I tried building a culture and
<v Speaker 2>I can't worry about that anymore because it's all going
<v Speaker 2>to change, and I hope everyone realizes how much it's
<v Speaker 2>going to change. He said that if he was still around,
<v Speaker 2>m By Elegance would be a quote top girl in
<v Speaker 2>the promotion by next year, but he also noted that
<v Speaker 2>he didn't have the final say on creative decisions and
<v Speaker 2>that he did not have full control. Now on Wednesday,
<v Speaker 2>False Finish reported that sources inside d indicate that Tommy
<v Speaker 2>Dreamer's statements are not accurate. Dreamer did not want to
<v Speaker 2>build contenders and in fact had control of who got pushed.
<v Speaker 2>The belief is that the culture will change for the better.
<v Speaker 2>The feeling is that the booking and creative was not
<v Speaker 2>good and change was needed, especially with the bigger platform
<v Speaker 2>from AMC this year.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 2>Dreamer also addressed the creative around the decision on when
<v Speaker 2>and where to put the TNA World Championship on Mike
<v Speaker 2>Santana last year, he said, Mike Santana's story. I'm so
<v Speaker 2>close with Mike and his daughter and his family, and
<v Speaker 2>when I talk about the internet, everyone wanted Mike to
<v Speaker 2>win its Slammiversary and it's cool. Then, who do you face?
<v Speaker 2>A bound for glory? And when bound for glory beat
<v Speaker 2>Slamiversary in attendance, you know that you made the right decision.
<v Speaker 2>It's so easy to make everybody happy, but you also
<v Speaker 2>have to make people mad to get you to where
<v Speaker 2>you want to go. And then when you draw more people,
<v Speaker 2>it's like you did your job right and no one's
<v Speaker 2>going to give you that credit for it. It's a
<v Speaker 2>thankless job, but I'm thanked by the people and their
<v Speaker 2>text messages. If you remember, the main event is Slammiversary
<v Speaker 2>last year was a three way match for the TNA
<v Speaker 2>World Championship. Trick Williams was the champion. He was defending
<v Speaker 2>against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. And that was the
<v Speaker 2>show that took place in Santana's home state of New York.
<v Speaker 2>They were over at the UBS Arena, so he had
<v Speaker 2>friends and family there. I know Conan was there. Homicide
<v Speaker 2>amazing red his daughter obviously, and then they had Trick retain.
<v Speaker 2>Now again false finish, says a source inside TNA is
<v Speaker 2>strongly refuting that, Tommy claiming that his booking of last
<v Speaker 2>year's Slammiversary pay per view was the reason for the
<v Speaker 2>record attendance at Bound for Glory last year, but rather
<v Speaker 2>it was the nostalgia of the retirement match between the
<v Speaker 2>Hardy's and Team three D. That match moved thirty five
<v Speaker 2>hundred tickets before anything else was even announced for the
<v Speaker 2>pay per view that I believe one hundred percent. First
<v Speaker 2>of all, the strongest drug is nostalgia, right, that goes
<v Speaker 2>for a lot in wrestling, But that was the biggest
<v Speaker 2>thing being promoted for that show was that final ever
<v Speaker 2>match between the Hardy's and the Dudleys. That was the
<v Speaker 2>big attraction, that was the real draw for that show. Now,
<v Speaker 2>it's interesting, you know, this week, of all weeks, to
<v Speaker 2>hear Dreamers saying that, given the Paul Haman interview that
<v Speaker 2>dropped with Chris Van Vliet, which I'll dive into a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more on the Uncrowned Wrestling Show this Tuesday.
<v Speaker 2>But in that interview, Hayman talks about booking for the
<v Speaker 2>long term, not the short term, and how he always
<v Speaker 2>has an eye for Okay, you know what are we
<v Speaker 2>doing six months from now, twelve months from now, eighteen
<v Speaker 2>months from now, and absolutely like you should always have
<v Speaker 2>an eye towards where you want to go. You should
<v Speaker 2>always have a destination or even start at the end.
<v Speaker 2>You can have an endpoint and then work backwards and
<v Speaker 2>figure out how you're going to get there. It's like
<v Speaker 2>Kane Parsons, he just direct to the back Rooms movie
<v Speaker 2>that just came out, and there's going to be more
<v Speaker 2>of him. He knows how it ends. He's talked about this.
<v Speaker 2>He already has the ending in mind for the back rooms,
<v Speaker 2>and now it's just a matter of figuring out how
<v Speaker 2>do we get there. Wrestling booking can work the same way,
<v Speaker 2>and there's nothing wrong with that, except not everything needs
<v Speaker 2>to be dragged out to a longer end point. Sometimes,
<v Speaker 2>when momentum is on your side or on someone's side,
<v Speaker 2>you strike while the iron is hot, and you pull
<v Speaker 2>the trigger in the right place at the right time,
<v Speaker 2>in front of the right people, in front of the
<v Speaker 2>right audience. And that time was Slammiversary last year. That
<v Speaker 2>place was New York, in front of his fans, his friends,
<v Speaker 2>his family, not in Lowell, Massachusetts, where it was never
<v Speaker 2>going to get the same reaction. But what made that
<v Speaker 2>even more puzzling was that he chose to wait to
<v Speaker 2>do it and bound for glory, only for the company
<v Speaker 2>to take the next four weeks off with TV tapings.
<v Speaker 2>They took a month off, and then their first taping
<v Speaker 2>back they took the title off of Santana. Real genius
<v Speaker 2>stuff there. You know, Sometimes you drag things out a
<v Speaker 2>little too long, and that could be a killer like
<v Speaker 2>Ring of Vander did a lot of that back in
<v Speaker 2>the day. They waited too long to put the championship
<v Speaker 2>on Dalton Castle, Tyler Black right Seth Rollins is probably
<v Speaker 2>the worst example of that in Roh. Sometimes when it's
<v Speaker 2>the right time, it's the right time and you make
<v Speaker 2>your move. You know, these people get a little too
<v Speaker 2>cute for their own goods sometimes and they miss their moment. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 2>Road Dog Brian James looks like he's starting with TNA
<v Speaker 2>tonight on their creative team with the Slammiversary pay per view.
<v Speaker 2>He's expected, if he's not already, to be in Boston
<v Speaker 2>for the show, although nothing has been announced officially. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know that they are going to put any sort
<v Speaker 2>official announcement outs. Maybe at some point they will. Dave
<v Speaker 2>Meltzer said a few days ago that Delirious is expected
<v Speaker 2>to be serving as the head booker, with Eric Tompkins,
<v Speaker 2>the vice president of TV Production, working alongside Road Dog
<v Speaker 2>to help Delirious put the final product together. So, if
<v Speaker 2>that's accurate, it sounds like that's going to be the
<v Speaker 2>hierarchy of things there. It'll be very interesting though over time,
<v Speaker 2>assuming that this all comes to fruition, he does join
<v Speaker 2>the creative team, like six months from now, what does
<v Speaker 2>the TNA product look like? Are there stories about you know,
<v Speaker 2>sort of other shakeups within Creative. Does road Dog eventually
<v Speaker 2>make his way up to that top position right wrestling politics,
<v Speaker 2>This would be very interesting to follow this story, but
<v Speaker 2>just also to see how, if at all the TNA
<v Speaker 2>product on air that you and I see, or you know,
<v Speaker 2>the TNA fans who watch week to week what they see,
<v Speaker 2>if it looks and feels any different than it does
<v Speaker 2>now you would think it would. Although if Delirious is
<v Speaker 2>going to be the top guy, he's been there that
<v Speaker 2>you know. The Dreamer was there for years, so it
<v Speaker 2>was Delirious. It's not like they completely wiped out the
<v Speaker 2>entire Creative team. So I'm very curious what this is
<v Speaker 2>going to look like. How they worked together, but it
<v Speaker 2>was clear they had to make some sort of change.
<v Speaker 2>A Slammiversary is only a few hours away as I
<v Speaker 2>am recording this again. They are in Boston starting at
<v Speaker 2>four pm Eastern for the main card, over twenty eight
<v Speaker 2>hundred tickets out in a building that fits six thousand
<v Speaker 2>and The last time they ran this particular building was
<v Speaker 2>also for Slamiversary back in twenty thirteen, and they had
<v Speaker 2>thirty eight hundred fans, so they're down from where they were.
<v Speaker 2>What is that thirteen years ago. Not good? Not Good.
<v Speaker 2>Added to the countdown to Slamiversary at three pm, Marisha Day,
<v Speaker 2>Indy Hartwell and Elena Black in a knockouts three way.
<v Speaker 2>The TNAX Division Championship will be on the line in
<v Speaker 2>an ultimate X match Cedric Alexandra Defense against Leon Slater,
<v Speaker 2>Frankie Kazarian, Mister Elegance, Fabian Eichner, Casey Navarro and the
<v Speaker 2>returning Amazing Red Back. I presume for one night only,
<v Speaker 2>this is Red's first match in TNA in fifteen years.
<v Speaker 2>This is something that I certainly am going to be
<v Speaker 2>tuned into if nothing else. I mean, there's a few
<v Speaker 2>things on this show I'd like to check out, but
<v Speaker 2>this is the main one, and not just because of
<v Speaker 2>Amazing Red. But look at the talent in that match. Red,
<v Speaker 2>Cedric Slater, Eichner, Nevarre. I mean, this is just everybody
<v Speaker 2>in this match. I could see them, you know, having
<v Speaker 2>kind of a shining moment here. I don't know about
<v Speaker 2>mister Elegance, but yeah, again, I said this on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 2>If you are looking for any Amazing Red matches, to
<v Speaker 2>go back and watch some of the better matches that
<v Speaker 2>he's had, some of the more memorable matches and some
<v Speaker 2>of the more recent matches, and I threw a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of them out there, but I didn't do it on
<v Speaker 2>this show, so I'll do it here. The ultimate X
<v Speaker 2>match from Bound for Glory in two thousand and nine,
<v Speaker 2>which I believe Red went into as the X Division champion.
<v Speaker 2>That's one worth going out of your way to see.
<v Speaker 2>Red had a match with aj Styles in House of
<v Speaker 2>Glory back in twenty fourteen at an event called Revenge
<v Speaker 2>is phenomenal, as was that match. The match he had
<v Speaker 2>with Mike Santana at HOG Puerto Rican Weekend two years ago.
<v Speaker 2>Unbelievable stuff. Just the vibe in the atmosphere alone, the
<v Speaker 2>energy in the building alone was just off the charts.
<v Speaker 2>Red had this great match with Bandido a couple of
<v Speaker 2>months ago in Las Vegas for Hog, and then last
<v Speaker 2>month we had two different shows, one in LA and
<v Speaker 2>one in New York. The first one he wrestled Speedball
<v Speaker 2>Mike Bailey and the most recent one he wrestled Kevin Knight,
<v Speaker 2>the reigning AWTNT champion, and both of those matches were
<v Speaker 2>bangers as well. So if you're looking for just to
<v Speaker 2>kind of what your appetite. You haven't seen the Amazing
<v Speaker 2>Red in a long time, or maybe ever, maybe you're
<v Speaker 2>just not familiar with his work. Those are some matches
<v Speaker 2>that you should go back and check out. But I
<v Speaker 2>am looking forward to this ultimate X match here now
<v Speaker 2>the Knockouts Tag Team Championships on the line. The Elegance
<v Speaker 2>Brand defend against Ali and Rosemary. AJ Francis goes one
<v Speaker 2>on one with Elijah Mustafa. Ali will defend the TNA
<v Speaker 2>International Championship against the mystery opponent. It will be an
<v Speaker 2>open challenge. A pw insider earlier in the week said
<v Speaker 2>that TNA is going to be debuting a former WWE
<v Speaker 2>star tonight, and the word making the rounds is that
<v Speaker 2>the talent is a former multi time singles champion, but
<v Speaker 2>we have not heard more beyond that.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 2>It seems like they went out of their way to
<v Speaker 2>say multi time singles champion. They didn't say a multiple
<v Speaker 2>time world champion. And so my first thought when I
<v Speaker 2>read that was, Okay, let's look at some of the
<v Speaker 2>recent WWE cuts. Who's going to be available, Like who's
<v Speaker 2>ninety days is up around now? Like some of them
<v Speaker 2>are not up until next month. Is there anybody who's
<v Speaker 2>going to be available in time for this show. The
<v Speaker 2>first name I thought of was Apollo Cruise. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know when his ninety days are up, offhand, I don't
<v Speaker 2>remember when he got his release. If it was March,
<v Speaker 2>if it was April. It's possible he may not be
<v Speaker 2>a free man just yet. If he is, he would
<v Speaker 2>be my guess as to who this person could be.
<v Speaker 2>He's a former multi time singles champion in WWE. He's
<v Speaker 2>held the Intercontinental title, He's held the United States Championship.
<v Speaker 2>He's a tremendous talent. I don't know if this means
<v Speaker 2>he would be going back to the old Uhah Nation name.
<v Speaker 2>He would be my guess. And what a match that
<v Speaker 2>would be, By the way, if you did Ali against
<v Speaker 2>you know, Uhah Nation, I think that'd be great stuff.
<v Speaker 2>Ricky Sosa one on one with Eric Young Moose against
<v Speaker 2>Eddie Edwards, three way ladder match for the TNA tag
<v Speaker 2>team titles. The System, Brian Myers and Bear Bronson defend
<v Speaker 2>against the Broken Hardy's and the Righteous TNA Knockouts Championship
<v Speaker 2>on the line. Le Ying Lee defends against Ziah Brookside
<v Speaker 2>and in the main event, Mike Santana defends the TNA
<v Speaker 2>World champion Ship against Nick Nemeth. And with all the
<v Speaker 2>rumors going around about Santana and his contractual status, his
<v Speaker 2>contract is up next month, supposedly, you would have to
<v Speaker 2>imagine that he's as good as gone and he's going
<v Speaker 2>to be on his way to WWE. And so if
<v Speaker 2>that's the case, if that is true, then this would
<v Speaker 2>be a good time to put the belt back on
<v Speaker 2>Nick Nemeth. I don't know what their taping schedule is,
<v Speaker 2>so maybe they have in their mind the thought that, well,
<v Speaker 2>people think there's going to be a title chain, so
<v Speaker 2>we'll shock them and keep the belt on Santana and
<v Speaker 2>then he just drops it at the next set of tapings,
<v Speaker 2>like I could see them doing that too. I'll go
<v Speaker 2>ahead and predict the Nick Nemeth title win tonight. Just
<v Speaker 2>put the championship on Nemath. If Santana is leaving, you
<v Speaker 2>may as well. But if Santana leaves, I can't imagine
<v Speaker 2>he goes anywhere else but WWE, and clearly they have
<v Speaker 2>an interest in using him, So my guess would be
<v Speaker 2>he'll be in NXT or I guess. Look, they could
<v Speaker 2>always bypass NXT and put him on the main ross.
<v Speaker 2>But judging by what they have done in recent history,
<v Speaker 2>they did it with Jordan Grace, they did it with
<v Speaker 2>Joe Hendry, my guess is he would at least start
<v Speaker 2>in n XTA. Then at seven Eastern NXT speaking of
<v Speaker 2>which has the Great American Bash from the Performance Center,
<v Speaker 2>and they are opening the show with the NXT Championship
<v Speaker 2>on the line with Tony DiAngelo defending against Naraku, the
<v Speaker 2>former Evil. They're going to belt up Evil already, aren't
<v Speaker 2>they first pl e on the CW Network title match
<v Speaker 2>to open the show. They burn Tony's face in their storyline,
<v Speaker 2>probably to give him an out when he loses. And
<v Speaker 2>they're teasing the idea that Naraku may not be coming alone.
<v Speaker 2>He may have some help coming. And I saw that.
<v Speaker 2>I saw that sit down segment last week that they
<v Speaker 2>you know, the cinematic sit down they did with the
<v Speaker 2>two of them where Tony signed the contract. Don't Tony's
<v Speaker 2>a good promo, especially now that he ditched the mob
<v Speaker 2>Boss gimmick. But Naraku, he speaks at these sound bites
<v Speaker 2>like something out of a two K video game. But
<v Speaker 2>at the very end he said Evil is coming. And
<v Speaker 2>then he laughed like shredder, vowing to kill the territoes.
<v Speaker 2>Not only do I think we're getting a title change here,
<v Speaker 2>I will say I will predict that we get the
<v Speaker 2>debut of Hiromu Takahashi to help Naraku win the belt.
<v Speaker 2>In fact, wwe just trademarked, literally on Friday, they just
<v Speaker 2>trademarked the name bakusa. I'm sure I'm butchering this word.
<v Speaker 2>Bak usai, bakusai, bakusai. Maybe it's bakusai, which apparently means
<v Speaker 2>blasting in Japanese, like I baku saied my girlfriend anyway, blasting.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why I said that, blasting life. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know what's wrong with me? What is wrong with me?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, but blasting, blasting like a bomb. They
<v Speaker 2>they're gonna cancel me now, like they tried to cancel
<v Speaker 2>will Osprey this week. But yes, bakusai apparently means blasting
<v Speaker 2>like a bomb, maybe even a ticking time bomb, which
<v Speaker 2>just so happens to be one of Heromu's nicknames. In fact,
<v Speaker 2>time bomb is the name of his finish. It's not
<v Speaker 2>hard to put two and two together here. I do
<v Speaker 2>wonder what shitty name they'll give Daryl the Cat though,
<v Speaker 2>I'm a little worried about that. They're opening the show
<v Speaker 2>with that, and then they're closing the show with the
<v Speaker 2>women's championship match with Lola Weis defending her NXT Women's
<v Speaker 2>title against Kendall Gray, who I can't believe hasn't already
<v Speaker 2>won the title. I mean, she's got to win it here,
<v Speaker 2>especially if they're main eventing with it, and the North
<v Speaker 2>American Championship is on the line. With the women, Tsaria
<v Speaker 2>defends against Tatum Pasley, the men's North American Championship on
<v Speaker 2>the line, Miles Born against Tavion Heights, Saquon Sugars takes
<v Speaker 2>on Dion Lennox, the women's speed champion, Ren Sinclair against
<v Speaker 2>Ariana Grace, and then Shiloh Hill against Tristan Angels And
<v Speaker 2>On last night's Triple A show, Raymisterio the New GM
<v Speaker 2>announced that El Ejdel Vikingo will be defending his newly
<v Speaker 2>won Triple A Latin American Championship on an upcoming episode
<v Speaker 2>of NXT, but they did not give a date for
<v Speaker 2>when that would be, so I guess that means omas
<v Speaker 2>He's coming to NXT almost Sapien's rise. He is on
<v Speaker 2>his way to the PC, which is where he should
<v Speaker 2>have been from day one. On Thursday, Tony Kahan hosted
<v Speaker 2>a Forbidden Door media call, as he does before all
<v Speaker 2>of the AW and ROH pay per views, and on
<v Speaker 2>that call, he talked about the visa issues that have
<v Speaker 2>plagued this event. He said it's been a massive challenge
<v Speaker 2>for Forbidden Door, and he revealed that in addition to
<v Speaker 2>the Beast, Mortos and Commander, AW is dealing with visa
<v Speaker 2>issues for Mark Davis, Gabe Kidd, and Hetcha Sero. Now
<v Speaker 2>Hetchiesero has not wrestled for AW since the April twenty
<v Speaker 2>second Collision taping. He did say the situation with Davis
<v Speaker 2>should be cleared up soon. I know he just had
<v Speaker 2>a national title defense in RevPro last Sunday. I really
<v Speaker 2>hope he's not going to be gone for long. He's
<v Speaker 2>been on the best run of his career so far,
<v Speaker 2>at least in AW. It would suck if he was
<v Speaker 2>sidelined over some stupid issue like this. From months on
<v Speaker 2>Andrew they had to strip him of the belt and
<v Speaker 2>the last time gave Kid wrestle for AW was a
<v Speaker 2>Dynasty on April twelfth, which was in Vancouver, so his
<v Speaker 2>visa status would would have had no impact on them
<v Speaker 2>using him there because it's outside the US. Before that,
<v Speaker 2>you'd have to go back to the Coffin match that
<v Speaker 2>he lost to Darby Allen on Dynamite, and that was
<v Speaker 2>back on March eighteenth. Now, during that same call, Tony
<v Speaker 2>Khan was asked by Brandon Thurston of Wrestling Nomics about
<v Speaker 2>his interest potential interest in buying TNA Wrestling if the
<v Speaker 2>promotion was up for sale, and Tony's response was to
<v Speaker 2>ask a question. He said, at what price? And Thurston
<v Speaker 2>threw out forty million dollars as a figure, which was
<v Speaker 2>the rumored floor that the head of Anthem had supposedly
<v Speaker 2>set for a potential sale of somewhere in the forty
<v Speaker 2>to fifty million dollar range, although that was again keep
<v Speaker 2>in mind that was put out there by Blake Avignon
<v Speaker 2>on X with no other source to actually back up
<v Speaker 2>his reporting. Tony's response to this was very simple. He says, no,
<v Speaker 2>absolutely not, and then he laughed a little bit. He
<v Speaker 2>said that there's value in the library, but any acquisition
<v Speaker 2>would have to be at the right price. He said,
<v Speaker 2>it's not a top priority as an acquisition right now,
<v Speaker 2>and also nothing that he has had serious conversations about,
<v Speaker 2>and of course not because why the fuck does he
<v Speaker 2>have to buy TNA. He's certainly not going to spend
<v Speaker 2>forty million dollars on it. I told you last week,
<v Speaker 2>I said the reported figure that he spent I don't
<v Speaker 2>think it was ever confirmed, but the reported figure that
<v Speaker 2>he spent for Ring of Honor was in the four
<v Speaker 2>million dollar range. Now, I understand, Ring of Honor was
<v Speaker 2>basically a dead promote. It had no TV, it barely
<v Speaker 2>had a pulse. TNA at least has a pulse. They
<v Speaker 2>ain't worth forty million dollars, so I would laugh it
<v Speaker 2>off too if I were him now. Thurston also asked
<v Speaker 2>about their my AW service potentially playing host for various
<v Speaker 2>independent wrestling events during the week leading up to AW
<v Speaker 2>Revolution next year, which is typically held in March, and
<v Speaker 2>Tony said that absolutely that was a goal. It was
<v Speaker 2>something that they have had discussions about, and this would
<v Speaker 2>line up perfectly with them hosting an event in March
<v Speaker 2>or April with WrestleMania being held in Saudi Arabia next year.
<v Speaker 2>I've said this before. AW could do something very special here.
<v Speaker 2>They could do something domestic, whether it's a new event
<v Speaker 2>or even just using revolution, and they could build an
<v Speaker 2>entire week or an entire weekend, even if it was
<v Speaker 2>just a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday thing around the idea
<v Speaker 2>of indies descending upon that host city, right like they
<v Speaker 2>usually do for a WrestleMania all the Endi. These descend
<v Speaker 2>upon Las Vegas or whatever the city might be, and
<v Speaker 2>wrestle Khan and all of these events. But you call
<v Speaker 2>it a celebration of wrestling. You make it your own, right.
<v Speaker 2>It just makes all too much sense to me. And
<v Speaker 2>now that they have this MAYAW service up and running,
<v Speaker 2>they could air the events on their live They could
<v Speaker 2>have a full schedule of events for days on end,
<v Speaker 2>all leading into whatever the AW pay per view is.
<v Speaker 2>Do it do it Forbidden Doors tonight and they are
<v Speaker 2>in San Jose. They have a pre show as they
<v Speaker 2>usually do, which I want to say starts at seven,
<v Speaker 2>so I don't know, maybe six point thirty. I want
<v Speaker 2>to say seven Eastern is when it starts. The buy in.
<v Speaker 2>Let me run through the card of my predictions here
<v Speaker 2>real quick. This is the card as things currently stand.
<v Speaker 2>They did add one match to the buy in, which
<v Speaker 2>is a match between sky Blue and Mica from Stardom.
<v Speaker 2>It is a survival of the fittest qualifier. So for
<v Speaker 2>those who don't know, when Willow Nightingale vacated the TBS Championship,
<v Speaker 2>Tony KHK came up with the idea to have a
<v Speaker 2>survival of the fittest match in AAW for the first
<v Speaker 2>time ever. This is a Ring of Honor concept that
<v Speaker 2>predates when Tony bought the con. I mean, the first
<v Speaker 2>survival of the fittest match and Ring of Honor, my god,
<v Speaker 2>probably goes back to two thousand and four or five,
<v Speaker 2>somewhere in that range, and you know, he's brought it back.
<v Speaker 2>There was one not that long ago, maybe a month ago,
<v Speaker 2>with Athena, and she beat five other women to hold
<v Speaker 2>on to this championship that she's never gonna lose. So
<v Speaker 2>now they're doing one for the first time here in AW.
<v Speaker 2>It's going to be six women. It's basically just elimination style.
<v Speaker 2>One woman gets eliminated, the match continues until this one
<v Speaker 2>person left standing. So they've been having qualifying matches now
<v Speaker 2>for a few weeks and the six way is taking place.
<v Speaker 2>This Wednesday on Dynamite July first, So we're going to
<v Speaker 2>have a new TBS champion crowned. It was I think
<v Speaker 2>this is for the final spot, and so Skyblue and
<v Speaker 2>Micah is going to be the match.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 2>This would be the easiest win for Tony to give
<v Speaker 2>to Stardom tonight, and Micah has held their Red Belt before.
<v Speaker 2>The most prestigious of all the Stardom belts is the
<v Speaker 2>Red Belt. But sky Blue already took a loss to
<v Speaker 2>Maya World in the Owen, so realistically she probably should
<v Speaker 2>win this. But I mean it's it's sky Blue. You know,
<v Speaker 2>She's part of the Triangle of Madness. She's not pushed
<v Speaker 2>in any kind of serious way like a top star
<v Speaker 2>in the division. I don't think anybody's gonna bat an
<v Speaker 2>eyelash if she takes another loss here. I think they
<v Speaker 2>do give it to Micah, and she would give that
<v Speaker 2>six way on Wednesday a little more international flavor. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm going with Micah to qualify, and then as far
<v Speaker 2>as Wednesday, I do, I do I write down all
<v Speaker 2>the names I don't have him in from I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>I do, Chris Statlander, Hikarashida, Persephone, Harley Cameron, Queen Ami Nada,
<v Speaker 2>and the winner of this match here, let's say Micah.
<v Speaker 2>Those are the competitors in the Survival of the Fittest
<v Speaker 2>match on Wednesday. I'm gonna go out on the limb
<v Speaker 2>here as far as picking a winner and as champion,
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna go with Queen Ami Nada. I think Ami
<v Speaker 2>Nada gets the belt. I feel like that title was
<v Speaker 2>made for someone like her who was getting a bit
<v Speaker 2>of a push last year before she got injured. This
<v Speaker 2>could be a good way to get her going again.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I'm looking for someone who hasn't already been there.
<v Speaker 2>I'm looking for someone who has not already held the
<v Speaker 2>TBS title. Chris stat Lander has already held it before.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm going with Ami Nada. Also on the Brian
<v Speaker 2>pre show, the Women's Tag Team Championships on the line,
<v Speaker 2>Divine Dominion Megan Bain Alena Cross defend against thunder Rosa
<v Speaker 2>and Olympia representing CMLL. That should be a win for
<v Speaker 2>the Divine Dominion. Then on the main card we have
<v Speaker 2>the Young Bucks. We have Mystico and Mascarriderata, El Sky
<v Speaker 2>Team and Unbound Shingo Takagi and Titan. I'm picking the
<v Speaker 2>Bucks to win this. We have the newly crowned IWGP
<v Speaker 2>Global Heavyweight Champion, showed to umiin No defending his belt
<v Speaker 2>against Pak and this should be a win for Umi,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I mean, he just won the damn thing.
<v Speaker 2>Kenny Omega won on one with Zach Saber Junior. To me,
<v Speaker 2>anything but an Omega win here would be ridiculous. Kenny
<v Speaker 2>Omega wins, Kenny Omega goes on to challenge for the
<v Speaker 2>World Championship next month. Especially if that happens, he should
<v Speaker 2>not be losing here. We have Adam Copeland and Christian
<v Speaker 2>Cage defending their aw tag team titles against the dogs
<v Speaker 2>David Finley and Clark Conners. This will be a win
<v Speaker 2>for Cope and Christian. They ain't dropping those belts before
<v Speaker 2>they get to Wembley Stadium, and even then they may
<v Speaker 2>not drop them, but they're certainly not dropping him before then.
<v Speaker 2>Continental Championship on the line. John Moxley defends against Bendido.
<v Speaker 2>A very random match that was thrown out there the
<v Speaker 2>other week, but it should be a really good match.
<v Speaker 2>I don't see Bendido winning. I think John Moxley is
<v Speaker 2>going to retain that championship, but it should be a
<v Speaker 2>good match. And then we have Tekla defending the aw
<v Speaker 2>Women's World Championship against Starlight Kid representing stardom. I kind
<v Speaker 2>of went out on a limb with the pick for
<v Speaker 2>the Survival of the Fittest TBS title match on Wednesday.
<v Speaker 2>I think I'm going out on the edge of the
<v Speaker 2>cliff here with this match. I'm picking Starlight Kid to
<v Speaker 2>win the Women's World Championship here. Yeah, Tekla has done
<v Speaker 2>a very good job in this angle of just shitting
<v Speaker 2>on stardom at every opportunity. In fact, Tekla seems like
<v Speaker 2>the kind of woman where if you gave her the
<v Speaker 2>chance to, she might literally take a shit on like
<v Speaker 2>the Stardom logo. Like she's already spat on the logo.
<v Speaker 2>She's attacked the president, she tried to shave his head.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, this woman is no telling what she could do.
<v Speaker 2>And it all goes back to when she lost her
<v Speaker 2>job in Japan. She was fired from Japan, right, the
<v Speaker 2>woman who was banned from Japan, so she came to
<v Speaker 2>the US. She's got a lot of history going back
<v Speaker 2>with stardom. She's done a very good job of playing
<v Speaker 2>into that this is one of the few matches on
<v Speaker 2>the show where it really feels like there is a
<v Speaker 2>personal issue here for one of these forbidden door type matches,
<v Speaker 2>and I just think because of that, Stardom needs to
<v Speaker 2>pick up a win here, because Tekla has just crapped
<v Speaker 2>all over them every single chance she gets. For her
<v Speaker 2>to go in there and beat one of their top
<v Speaker 2>stars would be a bad look for Stardom. And I
<v Speaker 2>think if you're also looking to pick a match on
<v Speaker 2>this show where there are real stakes on the line,
<v Speaker 2>there's a championship up for grabs, a safe choice to
<v Speaker 2>put the belt on someone who's not affiliated with AW,
<v Speaker 2>you would do it in this match right now. The
<v Speaker 2>IWGP belt is not on the line here. The AW
<v Speaker 2>World title is not on the line here on this show.
<v Speaker 2>If they were, I would not expect to see one
<v Speaker 2>of those belts going to someone from the other company.
<v Speaker 2>But here, I think you could get away with doing it.
<v Speaker 2>And here's why, because I wouldn't see Starlight Kid, for example,
<v Speaker 2>going into Wembley Stadium in August is the champion. I
<v Speaker 2>think she would have that belt for about a month
<v Speaker 2>and she would drop it at the Redemption pay per
<v Speaker 2>view in Montreal to who right to who? Well that
<v Speaker 2>leads us into the owen Hart Women's Finale, the finals
<v Speaker 2>of the tournament, Mercedes Monette one on one with Maya World,
<v Speaker 2>two women who were not even in the tournament when
<v Speaker 2>it started, and they are in the finals, and I
<v Speaker 2>am upset that we did not get the Mercedes Athena
<v Speaker 2>final that I was hoping for. But Tony Kahn has
<v Speaker 2>elected to go with the feel good story, which is
<v Speaker 2>Maya World. And you've heard about you know, she lost
<v Speaker 2>her brother, her younger brother, recently in a terrible accident.
<v Speaker 2>She I mean, her story even going back to last
<v Speaker 2>year is pretty cool because she was hanging around as
<v Speaker 2>an extra doing jobs. And that was the night that
<v Speaker 2>Nixon Neuell and Miranda Alis right Nixon Nouell, the former
<v Speaker 2>Tigan Knox, they walked out during one of the Dynamite tapings.
<v Speaker 2>They had an issue with the creative or the time
<v Speaker 2>that was given for them. They felt like, that don't
<v Speaker 2>work for me, brother, and they left and supposedly they
<v Speaker 2>were seen at a local bar. I think they went
<v Speaker 2>to a bar to get some food and so in
<v Speaker 2>their place Maya World and high On who were there
<v Speaker 2>that night took their spot and they went out there instead,
<v Speaker 2>and a few weeks later, Tony Kahan gifted them I'm
<v Speaker 2>not saying just because of that, but he gifted them
<v Speaker 2>with contracts. They are now both under contract to aaw
<v Speaker 2>that was less than a year ago. And to go
<v Speaker 2>from doing jobs as someone who didn't even have a
<v Speaker 2>contract with this company to now not only having a contract,
<v Speaker 2>but being in the finals of the owen Hart Tournament
<v Speaker 2>on this pay per view, getting a pay per view
<v Speaker 2>match for the opportunity to challenge for the World Championship
<v Speaker 2>at Wembley Stadium in August. That is quite the leap
<v Speaker 2>for Maya World. It was a surprise when she beat
<v Speaker 2>sky Blue. It was a stunner when she beat Athena
<v Speaker 2>on collision a couple of weeks ago. And so now
<v Speaker 2>here we are she is in a match here with
<v Speaker 2>a woman that she is on record as saying is
<v Speaker 2>her all time dream opponent. Right that dream is coming true.
<v Speaker 2>She is getting that match. What a great story. It
<v Speaker 2>would be very easy to say, well, the feel good
<v Speaker 2>story ends tonight, and maybe it will maybe it will
<v Speaker 2>and Athena will win or Athena Mercedes will win and
<v Speaker 2>they'll go the predictable way, and she'll get the World
<v Speaker 2>Championship match at Wembley Stadium. I'm looking at this a
<v Speaker 2>little bit differently, and I'm saying, you know what, I
<v Speaker 2>think Tony's gonna want to keep that story going. I
<v Speaker 2>think Maya World gets the win. I think she wins
<v Speaker 2>the owen she gets the shot at Wembley Stadium against Tecla.
<v Speaker 2>Only Tekla's not going to be the champion, and neither
<v Speaker 2>is Starlight Kid. Starlight Kid is going to win the belt.
<v Speaker 2>Starlight Kid is going to defend that belt against Mercedes
<v Speaker 2>Monett at Redemption, and that is where Mercedes will win
<v Speaker 2>the championship. When Mercedes rolls into Wembley, she will do
<v Speaker 2>so as the champion, and we get a rematch of
<v Speaker 2>this match, only this time it's Maya challenging Mercedes for
<v Speaker 2>the belt and Maya I'm sure Maya will fall in
<v Speaker 2>that match. That is how I see things playing out.
<v Speaker 2>I know all of this sounds very like outside the
<v Speaker 2>Box Pie in the Sky. I don't know about that.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe I'm crazy, but this is just what I'm feeling
<v Speaker 2>and how I think things are going to play out.
<v Speaker 2>If they don't play out that way, you have permission
<v Speaker 2>to make fun of me when it's over. But that's
<v Speaker 2>just just a gut feeling I have. In the Men's
<v Speaker 2>Own Heart Final, we have Will Osprey going one on
<v Speaker 2>one would swerve Strickland. This can go no other way
<v Speaker 2>other than an Osprey win. But the match itself should
<v Speaker 2>be a fucking banger and a half. And then the
<v Speaker 2>Steel Cage twelve men match six on six Team Briscoe,
<v Speaker 2>which is Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, Orange, Cassidy Darby,
<v Speaker 2>Allen and Kenoski Takesha take on MJF, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher,
<v Speaker 2>Jake Doyle and androde l Edelo. A lot of interconnected
<v Speaker 2>stories here in this match, obviously MJF and brisco but
<v Speaker 2>also members of mjf's own team don't like him, no
<v Speaker 2>one more so than Andrade, and I think ANDROTI will
<v Speaker 2>factor into that finish when mjf's team loses and Team
<v Speaker 2>Briscoe wins. And then coming out of this maybe on
<v Speaker 2>that Beach Break episode on July eighth, Briscoe can get
<v Speaker 2>his World Championship match with MJF. They could finally blow
<v Speaker 2>that off. We could be done with it, because all
<v Speaker 2>roads seem to be leading to one match at Redemption,
<v Speaker 2>Kenny Omega challenging MJF for the aw World title, which
<v Speaker 2>would be the second time this year on pay per
<v Speaker 2>view in Canada. No less that Kenny Omega would be
<v Speaker 2>challenging MJF for that championship, and if that happens, it's
<v Speaker 2>gonna go a little bit differently than it did in Dynasty.
<v Speaker 2>But this can be nothing but a Team brisco win,
<v Speaker 2>because otherwise, all these weeks of television teasing a match
<v Speaker 2>between MJF and Mark Briscoe would be for nothing. And
<v Speaker 2>that's your card on paper. There's gonna be some really
<v Speaker 2>great wrestling matches. I will not be staying up live
<v Speaker 2>to review the show. I'll be watching the show, but
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna save my review for the Uncrowned show on
<v Speaker 2>Tuesday because I ain't staying up to review this show.
<v Speaker 2>I will for Redemption, I will for All in which
<v Speaker 2>at least is going to be airing in the middle
<v Speaker 2>of the day. I can't. I can't do it for this.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, I'm for Forbidden Door. I'm not doing it.
<v Speaker 2>Not happening, but I'll be tweeting away during the show. Also,
<v Speaker 2>one more AW note here before we get into the
<v Speaker 2>WWE stuff. Carlos Silva, he ain't gonna be happy about this. Aw.
<v Speaker 2>Collision is going to be airing on Thursdays a couple
<v Speaker 2>of times next month, and it may be airing on
<v Speaker 2>Thursdays more than just a couple of times next month. Now,
<v Speaker 2>when this has happened in the past, it's usually because
<v Speaker 2>of sports preemptions. It's not anything that Tony Conner AW
<v Speaker 2>has any real control over. It's a Turner thing, it's
<v Speaker 2>a WBD thing on the schedule right now, Collision is
<v Speaker 2>supposed to air on Thursday, July second, so that's next week,
<v Speaker 2>eight pm Eastern. It's being taped in San Diego after
<v Speaker 2>Dynamite on Wednesday, and so it's got a runtime apparently
<v Speaker 2>of two and a half hours, so from eight to
<v Speaker 2>ten thirty. And the reason for that is because we
<v Speaker 2>have the debut of TNT Boxing coming up on Independence
<v Speaker 2>Stay July fourth, which kicks off a series of monthly
<v Speaker 2>events in conjunction with Dezone. So it's entirely possible that
<v Speaker 2>that means Collision is going to be preempted once a month.
<v Speaker 2>We don't know what the full fight schedule is going
<v Speaker 2>to be maybe they put stuff on TBS instead of TNT,
<v Speaker 2>But the second Thursday Collision is set for the end
<v Speaker 2>of the month, July thirtieth, again at eight pm Eastern.
<v Speaker 2>That'll be live from the Motor City of Detroit. The
<v Speaker 2>Motor City you say, yes, I think Dynamite is in Detroit,
<v Speaker 2>isn't it That week? They may have a couple of
<v Speaker 2>shows from Detroit at the end of the month. Interesting
<v Speaker 2>timing with a certain tag team from Detroit who I
<v Speaker 2>believe their ninety days is going to be up before then.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, yes, Carlos Silva, I mean he's just got
<v Speaker 2>to be throwing furniture around. This is like a declaration
<v Speaker 2>of war. This week's episode is answered by Wis Listen up.
<v Speaker 2>If you run your own business, big or small, doesn't
<v Speaker 2>really matter, you probably have a website, and if you don't,
<v Speaker 2>it might be a good idea to have one. It's

<v Speaker 2>Just go to wis dot com slash harmony. That's wis
<v Speaker 2>dot com slash harmony. The only two things of note
<v Speaker 2>from the final three hour SmackDown on Friday, which was
<v Speaker 2>taped last Tuesday. We had the end of the seemingly anyway,
<v Speaker 2>the end of the MFTs, and there's a story arc
<v Speaker 2>with Solo Socoha now where he is all alone. All
<v Speaker 2>of his family has deserted him, or he's deserted his family.
<v Speaker 2>He hates the bloodline, so he has no interest in
<v Speaker 2>going back to Roman reigns. But Tomatonga and Talatanga told
<v Speaker 2>him that the Elder's called and they're out, and they left.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what that means. I don't know they're out.
<v Speaker 2>What does that even mean? Are they out of ww
<v Speaker 2>we We don't know they're out though. So Solo Socoa
<v Speaker 2>now is all by himself and he's He's tried to
<v Speaker 2>get Roy's keys to join them, and he's turned him down.
<v Speaker 2>He tried to get La Knight on Friday to join
<v Speaker 2>him in La Knight told him to piss off. I'm
<v Speaker 2>more interested now in Solo Soca as a character or
<v Speaker 2>where they're going to go with this than I was
<v Speaker 2>at any point during his entire run as the leader
<v Speaker 2>of the MFTs, and I don't know where this is
<v Speaker 2>going to end. He may well end up with the
<v Speaker 2>bloodline of the end of all this anyway, But I
<v Speaker 2>find myself at least intrigued now with where they're going
<v Speaker 2>to take it and what they're going to do with him.
<v Speaker 2>I still believe that there is a good Babyface run,
<v Speaker 2>a fun, entertaining babyface run buried within Solo Socoa, and
<v Speaker 2>I hope at some point they have a chance to
<v Speaker 2>bring that out because he is a very personable guy.
<v Speaker 2>We just don't get a chance to see it because
<v Speaker 2>he's got to be stoic, and you know, he was
<v Speaker 2>leading this faction. He's got to be taking He's like
<v Speaker 2>a mob boss, but nobody takes them seriously as a
<v Speaker 2>mob boss. But I am interested to see where they
<v Speaker 2>go with it. There's another little wrinkle here, how much
<v Speaker 2>might a different member of the family play into this
<v Speaker 2>because fight Ful Select had a report a few days
<v Speaker 2>ago that WWE's current plan, if they haven't already done so,
<v Speaker 2>is to sign Zilla Fatu. He was recently at the
<v Speaker 2>Performance Center and according to them, he was going through
<v Speaker 2>the steps needed to get ready for a signing. And
<v Speaker 2>so it looks like it is finally happening. Zillah, you know,
<v Speaker 2>twenty six years old, he's the son of the late Umaga.
<v Speaker 2>He's got wrestling in his blood. He is also the
<v Speaker 2>reigning House of Glory Crown jewel champion. He's been with
<v Speaker 2>us now for several years and we would hate to
<v Speaker 2>lose him. But if he signs, I'm very happy for
<v Speaker 2>him because I know this was always the goal. The
<v Speaker 2>goal was always to join the family on the biggest
<v Speaker 2>possible stage. He's still new to this, you know, he's
<v Speaker 2>only been doing this for three years, which is not
<v Speaker 2>a long time. And in those three years, I've had
<v Speaker 2>a ringside seat to watch his progression. I've had the
<v Speaker 2>chance to help call his matches. It's been fun to watch.
<v Speaker 2>I could see him debuting, for example, for Solo Sokoa,
<v Speaker 2>who has nobody left, he recruits a new member of
<v Speaker 2>the family to help join his cause. Or if we
<v Speaker 2>were to get let's say Roman reigns against Oba Femei
<v Speaker 2>at SummerSlam. Remember the way Solo debuted it Clash at
<v Speaker 2>the Castle. Maybe we're in for Clash at the Castle
<v Speaker 2>two point zero, but this time with Zilla debuting instead
<v Speaker 2>of Solo. I could see that too. He's very close
<v Speaker 2>with Jacob. I'm sure the two of them would love
<v Speaker 2>to be working together. But that's the update on Zillafa
<v Speaker 2>too and his potential WWE debut. Nothing is official yet,
<v Speaker 2>but it sure sounds like it is headed in that direction.
<v Speaker 2>If Solo is going to be involved with that in
<v Speaker 2>some way, I guess we'll find out, because right now
<v Speaker 2>he's all by himself. The other thing that happened on
<v Speaker 2>Friday was the debut of Blake Monroe. She attacked Julia
<v Speaker 2>after Julia's win over Kia on A James, and so
<v Speaker 2>now we know who her first target is going to be.
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad that she just she finally came and she
<v Speaker 2>is on the show, and I expect big things from
<v Speaker 2>her because she's fantastic. She's the kind of talent where like,
<v Speaker 2>you can't fumble her. You can't fumble Blake Monroe. If
<v Speaker 2>you fumble Blake Monroe, then you just got you gotta
<v Speaker 2>call it quits, you know what I mean. Like, there's
<v Speaker 2>no reason for her not to go on to win
<v Speaker 2>championships and be one of the bigger stars in that division,
<v Speaker 2>and not just because she's the best wrestler on the roster.
<v Speaker 2>She's a fine wrestler. I'm not gonna say she's the
<v Speaker 2>best she's a fine wrestler, but the way she carries herself,
<v Speaker 2>her promos, her personality, she's a star. She looks the part,
<v Speaker 2>then she can back it out. She'll do very well.
<v Speaker 2>Now Raw is airing tomorrow. Just be aware live on
<v Speaker 2>Netflix at six pm Eastern because they're taping SmackDown immediately
<v Speaker 2>after to give the crew off of the Fourth of
<v Speaker 2>July holiday. So I will be live on YouTube tomorrow
<v Speaker 2>a couple of hours earlier than usual. So just FYI.
<v Speaker 2>But now let's talk about Knight of Champions and the
<v Speaker 2>biggest championship on that Night of Champion show was the
<v Speaker 2>WWE Championship, and we have a new WWE Champion. I
<v Speaker 2>actually nailed every one of my predictions from last week,
<v Speaker 2>a clean sweep, six for six. And that's a good
<v Speaker 2>thing because Triple H got it right with the top
<v Speaker 2>matches on the show. He got it right with the
<v Speaker 2>main event, he got it right with the King of
<v Speaker 2>the Ring Final, he got it right with the Queen
<v Speaker 2>of the Ring file. And when I say that, I
<v Speaker 2>don't mean in terms of the matches he put together,
<v Speaker 2>because he got it wrong with the King of the
<v Speaker 2>Ring Final. And you could even argue the Queen of
<v Speaker 2>the Ring Final as well, because liv Morgan had no
<v Speaker 2>right even being in that tournament. There's no reason for
<v Speaker 2>her to be there. I'm talking about how it finished,
<v Speaker 2>I'm talking about the outcome. He got it right. I
<v Speaker 2>wish we would have gotten better wrestling on the show.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't think any of the matches outside of the
<v Speaker 2>main event were all that special. I thought the Queen
<v Speaker 2>of the Ring Final was definitely better than the King
<v Speaker 2>of the Ring Final, even if that one had more heat.
<v Speaker 2>Definitely gave people more anxiety over what the finish would be.
<v Speaker 2>But neither final is going to be remembered as anything special.
<v Speaker 2>They would be considered an average match on Raw or
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown any given week without that main event. I thought
<v Speaker 2>this was a five or six out of ten show
<v Speaker 2>at best off the strength of the WWE title match,
<v Speaker 2>and I would say the last half of the Steel
<v Speaker 2>Cage match, I would go six and a half, maybe
<v Speaker 2>seven if I'm feeling generous. They opened on ESPN with
<v Speaker 2>the King of the Ring Final between Obafemi and jay Usso,
<v Speaker 2>and again common sense prevailed, right because this was always
<v Speaker 2>going to go one of two ways. If jay Uso won,
<v Speaker 2>it was going to be because of Brocklesner. Otherwise Obafemi wins,
<v Speaker 2>and that really is what the match should have been,
<v Speaker 2>and that's what we got. He beat him clean in
<v Speaker 2>the middle of the ring in about what was it
<v Speaker 2>eight minutes I think, with a fall from Grace one,
<v Speaker 2>two three. There was no bloodline, there was no brock,
<v Speaker 2>there were no shenanigans, there was no ref bump, none
<v Speaker 2>of that stuff. And also, like once, the announcers like
<v Speaker 2>Michael Cole and Corey Graves multiple times name drop brock
<v Speaker 2>Lesner during the match for various reasons. Once they got
<v Speaker 2>to like the second, third, fourth mention of brock Lesner,
<v Speaker 2>I was like, all right, he's probably not showing up.
<v Speaker 2>Because if he was showing up and it was going
<v Speaker 2>to be some big surprise, oh my god, he's here, Like,
<v Speaker 2>you wouldn't be name dropping him multiple times during the
<v Speaker 2>match and having him in people's minds. They gave Jay
<v Speaker 2>a lot of offense in this match. He is booked
<v Speaker 2>like a top guy. He's one of their attractions on
<v Speaker 2>the show. They're not going to squash him. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know what people expected there. I'm fine with that. So
<v Speaker 2>long as he lost, that's all that matters. Now, I
<v Speaker 2>wish we would have gotten a stronger final. I get
<v Speaker 2>that someone like Javon would have, you know, been less
<v Speaker 2>realistic as far as like, Okay, who's going to actually
<v Speaker 2>win this match? They're not sending Javon Evan to one
<v Speaker 2>of the main events of Summer Slim this year. Nobody
<v Speaker 2>would have bought into that, right, So if you're looking
<v Speaker 2>at it from that perspective, it limits your options here.
<v Speaker 2>The prospect of jay Uso winning was very real. That's
<v Speaker 2>why some people were freaking out over it, and so
<v Speaker 2>I guess that helped create some tension that might not
<v Speaker 2>have been there otherwise. But for me, it wasn't a
<v Speaker 2>good tension. I would have preferred a better opponent so
<v Speaker 2>that we could get a better match out of it.
<v Speaker 2>But that's me. We got what we got. The announcers
<v Speaker 2>were wondering which champion Obo would choose to challenge at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 2>But on Monday, if you think back to that go
<v Speaker 2>home segment with Oba and Jay, very heavily teased that
<v Speaker 2>he would be going after Roman reigns. Given what happened
<v Speaker 2>in the main event on this show, that kind of
<v Speaker 2>throws things up in the air. I'll talk more about
<v Speaker 2>the possibilities here with Obo when I get to the
<v Speaker 2>main event here in a little bit. But we had
<v Speaker 2>Eosky and Live Morgan in the finals of the Queen
<v Speaker 2>of the Ring, and this was a win for Eosky.
<v Speaker 2>It should not have gone any other way. Eo has
<v Speaker 2>already made her choice. She's not going to make us wait.
<v Speaker 2>She took one look at this and said, I ain't
<v Speaker 2>going to SmackDown. Fuck that noise, Live Morgan. I'll see
<v Speaker 2>you at SummerSlam. And so that is our first official
<v Speaker 2>match for SummerSlam this year. They had a better match
<v Speaker 2>than Oba and Jay did, even though the crowd was
<v Speaker 2>quiet for most of it. This was a recurring theme
<v Speaker 2>on this show, how quiet the crowd in Riod was
<v Speaker 2>outside of the top stars, but really for the women's
<v Speaker 2>matches in particular here, it was like pulling teeth to
<v Speaker 2>try to get a reaction out of anybody. They gave
<v Speaker 2>away the finish a little bit they did before the
<v Speaker 2>match where Dan Housen had come out on stage, and
<v Speaker 2>then Live Morgan came out to make her entrance, and
<v Speaker 2>she stopped and she went to Dan Housen and she said,
<v Speaker 2>you owe us a lot of money. Yeah, And I
<v Speaker 2>keep thinking to myself, what the fuck is she talking about?
<v Speaker 2>And then somebody was like, oh, it was a segment
<v Speaker 2>that aired on like YouTube or something, and I'm like, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>no wonder. I was like confused by this because they
<v Speaker 2>keep talking about how much money Dan Housen owes them.
<v Speaker 2>I think JD McDonough may have given him money or something,
<v Speaker 2>but apparently that didn't air on RAW and I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>but they're talking about it like everybody just knows what
<v Speaker 2>she's talking about, So that's a little weird. But he
<v Speaker 2>put a curse on her, and as soon as he
<v Speaker 2>did that, it gave away the finish of the match.
<v Speaker 2>To be honest with you, though nobody should have been
<v Speaker 2>expecting Live Morgan to win regardless, but still I don't
<v Speaker 2>know why you would do that. So our first match
<v Speaker 2>is official for Summer Slim. The only question is does
<v Speaker 2>Stephanie Viquierre come back beforehand, and if so, how does
<v Speaker 2>that change things. I'm still waiting for Live Morgan to
<v Speaker 2>actually defend her title. She has no title defenses since
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania Saturday Night's main event is probably our only hope
<v Speaker 2>before Summer Slim and I could see that being where
<v Speaker 2>a match happens with Stephanie and if there's let's say
<v Speaker 2>a screwy finish, the judgment they gets involved, that could
<v Speaker 2>be how we end up with a triple threat match
<v Speaker 2>at Summer SLIM. I don't know what Stephanie's status is.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think she's hurt. It could be a visa issue.
<v Speaker 2>If it's a visa issue, then everything I'm saying doesn't
<v Speaker 2>matter because we have no idea you know when that's
<v Speaker 2>going to get cleared up and when she's going to
<v Speaker 2>be back. I'm just saying if she let's assume that
<v Speaker 2>she's going to be back shortly, I could see it
<v Speaker 2>playing out like that. Like that's how we could get
<v Speaker 2>to a three way scenario for SummerSlam. You would have
<v Speaker 2>to do that initial match at Madison Square Garden, no
<v Speaker 2>real finish interference. EO could even come out, you know,
<v Speaker 2>to try to help Stephanie because the the odds, the
<v Speaker 2>numbers are not in her favor, but we end up
<v Speaker 2>with a triple threat. Easily could see something like that
<v Speaker 2>seth Rollins and bron Breaker a steel cage match. A
<v Speaker 2>boring first half of this match, I thought it really
<v Speaker 2>picked up well though in the second half, and we
<v Speaker 2>got hard way blood from Breaker. I didn't see how
<v Speaker 2>it happened, but he got busted up around his eye
<v Speaker 2>and the blood was flowing, and I would see he
<v Speaker 2>looked like two face out there. Half of his face
<v Speaker 2>was fine, the other half of his face was just
<v Speaker 2>drenched in blood, and it really added to the match.
<v Speaker 2>We don't see that very often in WWE, but in
<v Speaker 2>a cage match, right, you gotta have blood in a
<v Speaker 2>cage match, especially when you got a You have a
<v Speaker 2>match here with two men that have been feuding for months.
<v Speaker 2>This is like a blood feud. This goes back to
<v Speaker 2>the end of last year. This is supposed to be
<v Speaker 2>the blowoff here with Seth Rolins and the Vision, Seth
<v Speaker 2>Rolins and Bron Breaker. They've each cost each other very
<v Speaker 2>important things, opportunities, championships potentially, and now it all culminates
<v Speaker 2>in this cage match, which is why I thought the
<v Speaker 2>first half was just so boring. There was no sense
<v Speaker 2>of urgency. They were just kind of going through very
<v Speaker 2>like a very basic match, and I'm like, this doesn't
<v Speaker 2>feel like a match between two guys who hate each
<v Speaker 2>other's guts. And then by the end, Like I said,
<v Speaker 2>it really picked up, but the blood added a lot
<v Speaker 2>to it because we don't get it very often here, right,
<v Speaker 2>we get it elsewhere we don't get it. We don't
<v Speaker 2>get it in this company very often. If the goal
<v Speaker 2>for SummerSlam is Roman Reigns defending his championship against Seth Rawlins,
<v Speaker 2>which would only make sense if Oba chooses to go
<v Speaker 2>after the other belt. Winning this match here was the
<v Speaker 2>right outcome because there were people who were upset that
<v Speaker 2>Seth won and bron lost. I don't like that Rollin's
<v Speaker 2>winning here came at the expense of bron Breaker losing
<v Speaker 2>this feud. I don't like that either. I'm not a
<v Speaker 2>fan of that. I know that, you know, he showed
<v Speaker 2>his toughness and his resilience here, and that's going to
<v Speaker 2>be the story they tell. And there were some very
<v Speaker 2>close near falls. It took Seth having to go to
<v Speaker 2>the middle rope to do like a super stump to
<v Speaker 2>win it. It's not like they buried him and he
<v Speaker 2>just got beat with like triple h beating Booker t
<v Speaker 2>with one pedigree, and it took fucking fifteen years for
<v Speaker 2>him to crawl over and cover him at wrestle media
<v Speaker 2>like it wasn't one of those situations. But again the
<v Speaker 2>issue is that also bron has really cooled off a
<v Speaker 2>lot this year. The injury didn't help, but he's taken
<v Speaker 2>some big losses right first to see him punk at
<v Speaker 2>the beginning of the year, and now he lost this
<v Speaker 2>program with Seth, and it's like, where does he go
<v Speaker 2>from here? And I just look at this and I
<v Speaker 2>go I think a babyface turn. I think a split
<v Speaker 2>from the vision and a turn is probably what would
<v Speaker 2>be best for him at this point. Now, if it
<v Speaker 2>is Roman and Seth at SummerSlam, Jacob fa too coming
<v Speaker 2>for Seth makes sense. Then remember a couple of weeks
<v Speaker 2>ago that segment backstage on Raw with Roman and Jacob
<v Speaker 2>and Jacob had I think it was the night he
<v Speaker 2>beat up Eric Andre and I think he gave a
<v Speaker 2>spike to La Knight. And then before Roman took his
<v Speaker 2>leave at the end of the show, he went over
<v Speaker 2>to Jacob and said, look, I need one more thing
<v Speaker 2>I need you to take care of. And I could
<v Speaker 2>have sworn that I heard him whisper the name Seth
<v Speaker 2>Rawlins to Fa Tou before telling him to kill him. Right,
<v Speaker 2>he said kill him. We just didn't know who he
<v Speaker 2>was supposed to kill. But I was sure that Roman
<v Speaker 2>had mentioned the name Seth Rawlins to him, and so
<v Speaker 2>it all may start making sense, you know, very soon.
<v Speaker 2>It would make a lot more sense if they were
<v Speaker 2>going to Roman and Seth soon to have Jacob then
<v Speaker 2>try to take out Rolins. And if it's not Rollins
<v Speaker 2>and Roman at SummerSlam, they could do Seth against Jacob
<v Speaker 2>on that show, because I don't know what else Seth
<v Speaker 2>would be doing there since he's seemingly done with the
<v Speaker 2>Vision right now, right supposedly, I'll believe it when I
<v Speaker 2>see it. Well, Bronson Reid is on his way back.
<v Speaker 2>He looks to be in the best shape of his life.
<v Speaker 2>He's on his way back soon. I say, Seth is
<v Speaker 2>done with the Vision, But you know, is he? Are
<v Speaker 2>we sure of that? Are we one hundred percent sure
<v Speaker 2>of that? I don't know. Trick Williams defended the United
<v Speaker 2>States Championship against Ricky Saints. This was Ricky's first singles
<v Speaker 2>match on a ple He was in a big spot
<v Speaker 2>and I said this on Friday. He's got to go
<v Speaker 2>out there, he's got to show up, and he's got
<v Speaker 2>to have the best match of his life because this
<v Speaker 2>is the biggest spot for him since he came to
<v Speaker 2>this company. He needed a good showing. And they went
<v Speaker 2>out there and they had a very mid match. Although
<v Speaker 2>I thought the work from Ricky was solid, it just
<v Speaker 2>it didn't resonate. Nobody cared. He was on offense for
<v Speaker 2>the majority of the match, and nobody reacted to hardly
<v Speaker 2>anything that they were doing. It was sad, you know,
<v Speaker 2>it was sad watching this. They came to chant, whooped
<v Speaker 2>that Trick for his entrance, and then the bell rang
<v Speaker 2>and it was like we went from rise and Shine
<v Speaker 2>to bedtime. Not good. Trick won a very basic match.
<v Speaker 2>Trick shot knee really out of nowhere after Ricky took
<v Speaker 2>most of it, and Trick, to the surprise of no one,
<v Speaker 2>is still the United States Champion. What that means for
<v Speaker 2>Ricky Saints? Is he still going to be in the
<v Speaker 2>picture or are they just going to go to Trick
<v Speaker 2>and mellow and Ricky's kind of out in the cold.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't know, but he got beat
<v Speaker 2>pretty decisively.
<v Speaker 3>Here.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see what happens. But Tiffitty Stratton against Jade Cargill
<v Speaker 2>for the women's United States Championship. This wasn't much better
<v Speaker 2>like their previous matches together. This was nothing that anyone
<v Speaker 2>is going to be talking about the next day outside
<v Speaker 2>of my dumbass. The match itself was nothing more than
<v Speaker 2>an excuse for them to send Charlotte Flair out there
<v Speaker 2>to whack Jade in the head with the championship and
<v Speaker 2>cost her the match, just like Jade cost Charlotte her
<v Speaker 2>chance to be Queen of the Ring right, which now
<v Speaker 2>sets up the inevitable Summer Slam showdown between Charlotte Flair
<v Speaker 2>and Jade Cargill. There were honestly more people talking about
<v Speaker 2>Jade Cargill for what happened online after the match. Because
<v Speaker 2>Piper Nivin, who just passed six weeks postop after next
<v Speaker 2>fusion surgery, she hasn't wrestled since last August. We don't
<v Speaker 2>know when or even if she'll be wrestling again. She
<v Speaker 2>doesn't consider herself retired, but if she does get back
<v Speaker 2>in the ring, it's it's going to be a while.
<v Speaker 2>She was feeling a certain way about Jade using the
<v Speaker 2>spinning boss Man slam in her match with Tiffany last night,
<v Speaker 2>so after Jade quote tweeted a clip from the match
<v Speaker 2>that a fan had posted of her doing the move
<v Speaker 2>and basically complimenting her doing the move. Jade was admiring
<v Speaker 2>her work. She quote tweeted this, Niven fired off this
<v Speaker 2>shot five out of ten, A bit sloppy. You didn't
<v Speaker 2>transfer her weight onto your chest, so you never really
<v Speaker 2>had her and that's why she slipped down and you
<v Speaker 2>got that double bump effect in her head. I think
<v Speaker 2>she meant reverberated, verberated on the mat, but you look
<v Speaker 2>great and who cares who you hurt so long as
<v Speaker 2>you're all right right, And I'm like, wow, okay. I
<v Speaker 2>thought it was a fan tweet at first from some
<v Speaker 2>rando and then I saw that it was actually Piper
<v Speaker 2>Divin who posted that. But she wasn't done. Then she
<v Speaker 2>posted this, no, what warms my heart after all we've
<v Speaker 2>been through, and she tagged Jade in this, Jade Cargill
<v Speaker 2>paying homage to me and keeping my moves alive in
<v Speaker 2>the ring. You're a real one, sis. Once I relearn
<v Speaker 2>how to use my right arm again, I will show
<v Speaker 2>you how to transfer their weight so you get the
<v Speaker 2>pen next time. And when a fan replied, I'm pretty
<v Speaker 2>sure that was a Bysses move to which I'm reading
<v Speaker 2>this going, Actually it was the Big boss Man's move
<v Speaker 2>before it was abyses me, but I guess by the
<v Speaker 2>time Abyss was using it, the Big boss Man was dead,
<v Speaker 2>so it was pretty much up for grabs. But yes,
<v Speaker 2>a fan replied, I'm pretty sure that was Abyss's move,
<v Speaker 2>and Piper replied with abysses retired from in ring competition,
<v Speaker 2>and I personally asked Abyss for permission to use it
<v Speaker 2>anyone thinking that this is a work. It's not a work,
<v Speaker 2>there would be no point to it being a work.
<v Speaker 2>It would be a shitty work if it was, especially
<v Speaker 2>since she's not coming back to the ring anytime soon, Like,
<v Speaker 2>what would the fucking point even be? And if it
<v Speaker 2>isn't a work, which it's not, it's just as dumb, right.
<v Speaker 2>She just comes off very extraordinarily petty, like this is
<v Speaker 2>a coworker of hers if it bothers you that much,
<v Speaker 2>this is what a DM is for, or a text message.
<v Speaker 2>It just makes her look petty as hell, like, even
<v Speaker 2>if there's some unwritten code here that she feels was broken,
<v Speaker 2>I don't see what's accomplished by putting her on blast
<v Speaker 2>like that, And the majority of the responses I saw
<v Speaker 2>were negative towards Piper, not Jade, although Jade has her
<v Speaker 2>very loyal fans who are now coming after Piper Niven.
<v Speaker 2>But this, and again, this is why I didn't see
<v Speaker 2>the purpose behind putting this out there publicly like that.
<v Speaker 2>I get the sense that there are probably other people
<v Speaker 2>in that women's locker room who may feel the same way,
<v Speaker 2>who may not be too fond of Jade. If you remember,
<v Speaker 2>many many months ago, there were reports about this actually
<v Speaker 2>coming off that period where they did the angle where
<v Speaker 2>Jade was taken out by a mystery attacker right she
<v Speaker 2>fell onto the car who attacked Jade. There were all
<v Speaker 2>kinds of reports about why she was off, is she heard,
<v Speaker 2>is she getting vacation time? And then women in the
<v Speaker 2>women's locker room who supposedly weren't fond of her, like
<v Speaker 2>there's definitely some smoke to that fire, and I think
<v Speaker 2>we saw a little bit of that come out on
<v Speaker 2>x Hear from these Piper Niven posts. And in the
<v Speaker 2>main event, it was Cody Rhoades defending the WWE Championship
<v Speaker 2>against Gunther and Sammy's Ain. This was Sammy's tenth opportunity
<v Speaker 2>at a world title here on the main roster. That
<v Speaker 2>means he failed nine times coming into this. He already
<v Speaker 2>had a WWE Championship match in Saudi this year, that
<v Speaker 2>was at the Rumble six months ago, so it would
<v Speaker 2>have been pretty bad for him to come in here
<v Speaker 2>on his tenth try twice in one year in Riod
<v Speaker 2>and lose again. But he didn't lose. They did the
<v Speaker 2>damn thing, and so ten years and ten chances later,
<v Speaker 2>Sammy's Ain is a world champion, and it's been quite
<v Speaker 2>the journey for him to get to this point, from
<v Speaker 2>Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania to the WWE Championship, from Sammy
<v Speaker 2>Usso and the Bloodline to the WWE Championship, from the
<v Speaker 2>gingerbread Man two months ago to the WWE Championship. So
<v Speaker 2>I guess what I'm saying is the moral of the
<v Speaker 2>story is for all of the La Night fans out there,
<v Speaker 2>never give up hope. There's still a chance. It might
<v Speaker 2>be fleeting, it might be like a little flicker, but
<v Speaker 2>there's still a chance. I thought it was an excellent
<v Speaker 2>main event. It was an excellent main event with an
<v Speaker 2>excellent closing sequence, and I liked that it was Cody
<v Speaker 2>Rhodes the champion that Sammy pinned to do it, and
<v Speaker 2>now Gunther. This should give the title scene on SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>a nice little shakeup heading into SummerSlam, and it presents
<v Speaker 2>a lot of options for where they could potentially go
<v Speaker 2>with this, including the very real possibility that Sammy gets
<v Speaker 2>the two month Drew McIntyre run from earlier this year,
<v Speaker 2>or even worse because they have that Saturday Night's Made
<v Speaker 2>Event show coming up on July eighteenth at Madison Square Garden.
<v Speaker 2>I don't see Sammy. I don't even see Sammy getting
<v Speaker 2>the Gender Mahall run that Vince gave Gender, and Vince
<v Speaker 2>gave Gender a whole six months with that belt. Even
<v Speaker 2>Kope Kingston got six months before he got squashed by
<v Speaker 2>brock Lesner. I don't think Sammy even gets that long.
<v Speaker 2>And I see some people online now more and more
<v Speaker 2>people actually floating this idea of brock Lesner beating Sammy
<v Speaker 2>z Ain at Saturday Night's Main Event and then defending
<v Speaker 2>that championship against Obafemi at Summer Slim. I don't mind
<v Speaker 2>them doing another Brock and Oba match at Summer Slim,
<v Speaker 2>just but the thought of putting another belt on brock
<v Speaker 2>Lesner just nauseates me, like, no, we don't need that.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not saying that I can't see them doing it.
<v Speaker 2>I could absolutely see them doing it right big Madison
<v Speaker 2>Square Garden moment, brock Lesner wins the belt just to
<v Speaker 2>transition it over to Obafemi, literally the definition of a
<v Speaker 2>transitional champion. But just the thought of putting another belt
<v Speaker 2>on Brock and him squashing Sammy the way that he
<v Speaker 2>squashed Kofe. Can we not? Can we not do this? Please?
<v Speaker 2>You know what else would be terrible? If they did
<v Speaker 2>Oba Femi against Sammy's a in his Summer Slim, with
<v Speaker 2>Brock costing Oba the match and Sammy retains only by
<v Speaker 2>the skin of his teeth, and then we get Brock
<v Speaker 2>and Oba the big finale at Wressel Palooza in September.
<v Speaker 2>That's another possibility as well. Do they run Sammy and
<v Speaker 2>Cody back in a singles match at Summer Slim with
<v Speaker 2>Oba challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. This
<v Speaker 2>seems to me like the likeliest scenario at the moment.
<v Speaker 2>I may feel differently after, you know, Raw Tomorrow or
<v Speaker 2>smack Down on Friday. But at this moment, as I
<v Speaker 2>sit here and I go through in my mind the
<v Speaker 2>list of all the various match possibilities for Summer Slam
<v Speaker 2>or Saturday Night's main event, I could definitely see it
<v Speaker 2>being Oba and Roman, Cody and Sammy one on one.
<v Speaker 2>And I could also see, by the way, if they
<v Speaker 2>do Roman and Oba, Brock costing Oba in that match,
<v Speaker 2>saving Roman, and then they go off and do Brock
<v Speaker 2>against Oba one last time and they save the Oba
<v Speaker 2>coronation for WrestleMania next year because they feel like they
<v Speaker 2>want to drag out the chase and they want to
<v Speaker 2>make people wait for it, or they want to do
<v Speaker 2>it on the big state. And I agree, you don't
<v Speaker 2>always have to do the big one at WrestleMania. I'm
<v Speaker 2>just telling you this is how they think. So if
<v Speaker 2>he was to be screwed out of the championship by
<v Speaker 2>Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, Brock doesn't wrestle, but he shows
<v Speaker 2>up and screws him there on that show, that's what
<v Speaker 2>they would do. They would do it with that in mind,
<v Speaker 2>with the idea that Okay, we're gonna save it for Mania,
<v Speaker 2>especially next year, because that got Mania in Saudi, and
<v Speaker 2>you know they're gonna want to load that show up
<v Speaker 2>and have as many attractions and big moments as they
<v Speaker 2>possibly can. This is how they think, not saying that
<v Speaker 2>that's how I would book it out. But there are
<v Speaker 2>people who are like, no, why does it always have
<v Speaker 2>to happen at WrestleMania. I agree it doesn't, but this
<v Speaker 2>is how it is. CM Punk He's rumored to be
<v Speaker 2>heading to SmackDown with a big summer slim match planned.
<v Speaker 2>How does he fit into the summer slim picture? Punk
<v Speaker 2>to commentary on Friday Night for the CFFC the Cage
<v Speaker 2>Fury Fighting Championships, and as the other announcers were plugging
<v Speaker 2>one of their upcoming events, they asked Punk, are you
<v Speaker 2>going to be there? And Punk asked them is that
<v Speaker 2>a Friday? I don't know, and they confirm, yep, it's
<v Speaker 2>on a Friday, and Punk said, it's a Friday. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know if I can make it, And then they
<v Speaker 2>asked him you have any big news that you want
<v Speaker 2>to go viral with and he said, I gained twenty
<v Speaker 2>pounds recently. It's not good weight. This suits a little
<v Speaker 2>tight ladies and gentlemen. I think this I think people
<v Speaker 2>are looking more forward to what CM Punk looks like
<v Speaker 2>physically when he returns than anything else. All this garbage
<v Speaker 2>about him being on steroids and him being a body guy.
<v Speaker 2>Now I have a feeling people are going to be
<v Speaker 2>very disappointed when he shows up on Raw and Chicago
<v Speaker 2>in a few weeks. But where does Punk fit into
<v Speaker 2>all this? Punk's going to be on that Summer Slam
<v Speaker 2>card in supposedly a big match. Any match he's going
<v Speaker 2>to be in on that show is going to be
<v Speaker 2>a big match, you know, whether it's for a title
<v Speaker 2>or not. What are we looking at? Right? Punk coming
<v Speaker 2>in and going right into a championship match wouldn't really
<v Speaker 2>make a whole lot of sense. But you could do
<v Speaker 2>punkin Cody as an undercard match. That doesn't work though.
<v Speaker 2>The whole basis of the Punk and Cody stuff was
<v Speaker 2>built around the championship. Remember what Punk told Cody when
<v Speaker 2>they were on Raw the last time we saw Punk.
<v Speaker 2>You never know when a championship opportunity may fall out
<v Speaker 2>of the sky, and it's like, now you're gonna do
<v Speaker 2>punkin Cody with no championship on the line. I mean
<v Speaker 2>to me, that just doesn't make a lot of sense.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't know what his role would be, but
<v Speaker 2>you gotta just keep him in mind too. He should
<v Speaker 2>be back on television imminently. What about Gunther? Where does
<v Speaker 2>Gunther go from here? He's now lost three straight championship matches,
<v Speaker 2>technically four if you want to count that little three
<v Speaker 2>minute match when they restarted on SmackDown last week. What
<v Speaker 2>the hell did they do with him? I think we
<v Speaker 2>got a little peek into what they might be doing
<v Speaker 2>with him because they shot an angle for social media
<v Speaker 2>after the show where Gunter got to the back. He
<v Speaker 2>was in the gorilla position, he got to the back,
<v Speaker 2>he got all up in Nick Aldos's face. Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 2>wasn't there. Nick Alldis was the one basically handing the
<v Speaker 2>crown off to everybody. After their match. He gets up
<v Speaker 2>in Nick Alldos's face. They had to be pulled apart
<v Speaker 2>by agents and they got physical, and I think all
<v Speaker 2>this even dropped an F bomb in there and they
<v Speaker 2>had to be separated. And you look at that and
<v Speaker 2>you go, well, it looks like Nick Alldis may finally
<v Speaker 2>be dotting the tights. He may finally be wrestling in WWE.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm like are you, like, are we really looking
<v Speaker 2>at a scenario where we're going into the second biggest
<v Speaker 2>show of the year and their big idea for Gunther
<v Speaker 2>is to put him in the ring with the general
<v Speaker 2>manager or the retired for all intents and purposes, retire
<v Speaker 2>general manager of SmackDown. This is the man who seven
<v Speaker 2>months ago ended Johnson in his career and sent him
<v Speaker 2>off into the sunset with a loss, who tapped him out,
<v Speaker 2>the man who retired aj Styles in January. I guarantee you,
<v Speaker 2>when we were talking about this in December, and we
<v Speaker 2>were talking about this in January, at no point on
<v Speaker 2>any of the podcasts that I did, or that anybody
<v Speaker 2>else did, or any discourse on social media when people
<v Speaker 2>were thinking about, well, looking ahead six months, who might
<v Speaker 2>gun Th be wrestling in Minneapolis at Summer SLIM. I
<v Speaker 2>guarantee you, not a single fucking person said, what about Nickoldis?
<v Speaker 3>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, sure, the guy, the guy who retired two of
<v Speaker 2>the biggest stars in the company. Yeah, he'll be wrestling
<v Speaker 2>the general manager at SUMMERSLIM this year. We a fucking break.
<v Speaker 2>If you would have told me then that this is
<v Speaker 2>where we would be, I would just I would have
<v Speaker 2>an entire podcast of nothing but laughing. I'd be laughing
<v Speaker 2>for two hours straight at the stupidity of it. But
<v Speaker 2>I'll tell you what I wouldn't mind. I wouldn't mind
<v Speaker 2>it if Nick all this were to tell him, you
<v Speaker 2>know what, I'm not gonna get in the ring with
<v Speaker 2>you because I'm the general manager and it wouldn't be
<v Speaker 2>right for me. It would be unprofessional for me. I
<v Speaker 2>would be abdicating my duties and I enjoy my job
<v Speaker 2>too much as the general manager to sacrifice it for
<v Speaker 2>somebody like you. But I'll tell you what I am
<v Speaker 2>going to do. I'm going to find a surrogate. I'm
<v Speaker 2>going to find a suitable opponent to put you in
<v Speaker 2>the ring with at SummerSlam, and let that be the
<v Speaker 2>return of Iliya Dragonov and give us an undercard match
<v Speaker 2>at SummerSlam between Gunther and Dragonov that I would be
<v Speaker 2>okay with. That I would love to see. Yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it doesn't have a championship on the line, but so
<v Speaker 2>what what a What a great way to reintroduce Dragonov
<v Speaker 2>back to the main roster and also give Gunther somebody
<v Speaker 2>that he can beat because he you know, Dragonov ain't
<v Speaker 2>gonna beat him so at least would get back in
<v Speaker 2>the win column. That's what I would like to see.
<v Speaker 2>And then the only other name I would throw in
<v Speaker 2>there in this whole mix of like what happens next?
<v Speaker 2>Johnny Gargano. I mentioned this. I threw this out in
<v Speaker 2>my review last night. I said, what about Johnny Gargano?
<v Speaker 2>Is Johnny Gargano now that Sammy's am won the championship,
<v Speaker 2>going to stop planking every week and maybe they're going
<v Speaker 2>to turn him into like a stooge for Sammy. Wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>be the worst spot for him to be in. He
<v Speaker 2>could be the sacrificial lamb. Whenever somebody comes after Sammy,
<v Speaker 2>he just throws Gargano in the way and they destroy Gargano.
<v Speaker 2>The point is there are lots of questions, and I'm
<v Speaker 2>here for it. I like it. This is what makes
<v Speaker 2>for interesting discussion and hopefully interesting television because now we're
<v Speaker 2>back to two hours of SmackDown every week. One more
<v Speaker 2>note on this, Kevin Owens. I thought of him as
<v Speaker 2>well when Sammy won the belt. I said, man, it's
<v Speaker 2>a shame he's not around, and he clearly feels the
<v Speaker 2>same way. He posted a long message on X after
<v Speaker 2>the show, saying I've missed a lot of things that
<v Speaker 2>I wish I had not in the last fifteen months
<v Speaker 2>because of this injury, But today is by far the
<v Speaker 2>one that I wish I had been there for the most.
<v Speaker 2>He has brought out the best in me. Is both
<v Speaker 2>an ally and a foe. That's because he is the best.
<v Speaker 2>When you're consistently that good for that long, you become undeniable.
<v Speaker 2>Sammy becoming WWE champion was inevitable. He has deserved that
<v Speaker 2>moment for a very long time, and I am so
<v Speaker 2>happy to see him finally get it. The only thing
<v Speaker 2>that was missing was Kevin Owens being there live to
<v Speaker 2>give him a hug and then beat the living shit
<v Speaker 2>out of him. It's the only thing that was missing.
<v Speaker 2>It would be a very Kevin Owens thing to do.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know where he is with his recovery. I
<v Speaker 2>think next month is twelve months. I believe a full
<v Speaker 2>year since he had the next surgery, and I imagine
<v Speaker 2>he's not that close yet to being medically cleared. But
<v Speaker 2>I sure hope we can get him back real soon.
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown could use Kevin Owens back on TV. And how
<v Speaker 2>about this the mask worn by El Grande Americana Kaiser
<v Speaker 2>in his TRIPAA match with Elgrande Americano. Gable and autographed
<v Speaker 2>by Kaiser himself, was put up for auction by WWE
<v Speaker 2>and Fanatics with a starting bid of one thousand dollars,
<v Speaker 2>and it just sold for over fifty thousand dollars, with
<v Speaker 2>one hundred percent of the net proceeds going directly to
<v Speaker 2>the Doctor Sonrisas Foundation, supporting children with life threatening health conditions.
<v Speaker 2>And that's a very cool thing. What's not cool? It
<v Speaker 2>was actually quite the embarrassing blunder this week was WWE
<v Speaker 2>and Fanatics putting up an auction for a steel chair
<v Speaker 2>that was supposedly used during the women's Wargames match at
<v Speaker 2>Survivor Series twenty twenty two that was the first ever
<v Speaker 2>women's actually the first ever Wargames match of any kind
<v Speaker 2>on the main roster, and they even included a photo
<v Speaker 2>of the chair showing it was slightly dented, but the
<v Speaker 2>listing was pulled with a top bit of only seventy
<v Speaker 2>five dollars after fans pointed out that there was no
<v Speaker 2>steel chair used during that women's Wargames match and it
<v Speaker 2>was not autographed by any of the women in the match,
<v Speaker 2>and it's not even clear if it was listed with
<v Speaker 2>the wrong year, or if you want to give them
<v Speaker 2>the benefit of the doubt, or if they were trying
<v Speaker 2>to pull a fast one on people. But it came
<v Speaker 2>down pretty quick. Look, you read the description here that
<v Speaker 2>they posted with it. It sure don't sound like they
<v Speaker 2>got the year wrong. This came from the listing the
<v Speaker 2>first Women's Wargames match on WWE's main roster needed a
<v Speaker 2>weapon that looked as unforgiving as the stipulation sounded. Bianca
<v Speaker 2>bell Air, Alexa Bliss, Oska Mia Yim and the returning
<v Speaker 2>Becky Lynch beat Damage Control Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley
<v Speaker 2>at Survivor Series twenty twenty two, closing a month's long
<v Speaker 2>fight with steel all around them. This authentic match used
<v Speaker 2>steel chair comes from that Women's Wargames match. Doesn't get
<v Speaker 2>any more straightforward than that, says. No autograph has to
<v Speaker 2>dress it up. Becky came back, the cage held, and
<v Speaker 2>the chair took its share of the damage. What the
<v Speaker 2>hell does that even mean? That sounds like they used
<v Speaker 2>chat GPT to write that description. I'm not even joking
<v Speaker 2>like that sounds like they used AI to write that
<v Speaker 2>entire description. Maybe they used chat GPT to generate the
<v Speaker 2>chair as well. It sounds like they thought they could
<v Speaker 2>scam people and they got caught. Makes you wonder how
<v Speaker 2>authentic some of the other auction items are. At least
<v Speaker 2>the Americano mask one looks to be legit and the
<v Speaker 2>money is going to a good cause. All right. I
<v Speaker 2>know we got a lot of wrestling shows that you
<v Speaker 2>guys are gonna be watching this afternoon, So let's get
<v Speaker 2>through the mail bag and get you out of here.
<v Speaker 2>You can email me the Solo Monster at gmail dot com.
<v Speaker 2>Please include your name and where you are from when
<v Speaker 2>you write in like these fine folks, Jessica from Selina, Kansas.
<v Speaker 2>I have a take that isn't talked about enough, but
<v Speaker 2>I believe that Cody Rhoades is one of the most
<v Speaker 2>influential wrestlers of the past twenty years. Think about it.
<v Speaker 2>He left WWE, he went out and made his name
<v Speaker 2>bigger on the ND scene. He helped form aw and
<v Speaker 2>then left there to go back to WWE with his
<v Speaker 2>Nightmare character, and he won the WWE Championship in what
<v Speaker 2>is considered to be the greatest WrestleMania main event match
<v Speaker 2>of all time. I feel like this is true, regardless
<v Speaker 2>of what people think of Cody now or regardless of
<v Speaker 2>whether or not his character is stale, which I think
<v Speaker 2>it is, I don't disagree with you. He is definitely
<v Speaker 2>one of the more influential wrestlers of the past two decades,
<v Speaker 2>simply just for the AW part alone. Forget all the
<v Speaker 2>other stuff, just for the work that he put in
<v Speaker 2>with AW and being part of that core group of
<v Speaker 2>guys that got together with Tony Kahn to form that company.
<v Speaker 2>For that reason alone, all of those guys, Kenny, the Bucks, Cody,
<v Speaker 2>all of them are some of the most influential wrestlers
<v Speaker 2>of the past twenty years for that all them. Jonathan
<v Speaker 2>from Charlotte, North Carolina. I know people are up in
<v Speaker 2>arms over Athena losing to Maya World, but what if
<v Speaker 2>this is all leading to somewhere Athena defends her Ring
<v Speaker 2>of Honor Women's Championship against Maya World, Athena retains, and
<v Speaker 2>then Billy Starks becomes the number one contender again, Only
<v Speaker 2>this time Billy Starks gets training from Maya because she
<v Speaker 2>knows how to beat Athena. It would be similar to
<v Speaker 2>when Chad Gable trained Sammy Zay to take on Gunther
<v Speaker 2>because Gable knew Gunther's weaknesses and how to take them
<v Speaker 2>to the limit. This will then lead to Billy Starks
<v Speaker 2>finally defeating Athena for the Ring of Honor Championship, ending
<v Speaker 2>her forever reign. Well, the I agree with you. I
<v Speaker 2>think that's fine, and I agree with you in this respect.
<v Speaker 2>The only person who should be beating Athena to win
<v Speaker 2>that championship is Billy Starks because that's what they have
<v Speaker 2>been building to, seemingly for I mean literally years now,
<v Speaker 2>and they just haven't pulled the trigger yet, which is ridiculous.
<v Speaker 2>And Athena has just been stuck in this endless loop
<v Speaker 2>of Ring Honor World title defenses when she should be
<v Speaker 2>doing a lot more than that. So I agree with you.
<v Speaker 2>Billy Starks is the one who should be winning that
<v Speaker 2>championship from her, not anybody else. If they want to
<v Speaker 2>work Maya World in there and give her training, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>that's fine. I don't even know how many more years
<v Speaker 2>of training Maya has over Billy. I know Billy is
<v Speaker 2>still very young, but yeah, that's fine. But I don't
<v Speaker 2>feel the same way about your second idea. Now, as
<v Speaker 2>I was putting everything together, Jonathan also sent this in
<v Speaker 2>I just happened to catch it this morning. He said,
<v Speaker 2>now that Sammy's ain is finally WWE champion, I think
<v Speaker 2>there's a way that you can cement him as a
<v Speaker 2>bad guy going forward on SmackDown. You have him say
<v Speaker 2>that he'll be defending the title a Saturday Night's Made
<v Speaker 2>event against anyone. In the back Dan Housen answers and
<v Speaker 2>says what a dream it would be to win the
<v Speaker 2>championship in front of all of his fans. At MSG,
<v Speaker 2>they have a match. Dan Housen gets a couple of
<v Speaker 2>near falls on him. It looks like he's about to
<v Speaker 2>win the time, but just as the referees back is turned,
<v Speaker 2>Sammy low blows him and picks up the win. After
<v Speaker 2>the bell, Sammy beats up dan Housen until Cody comes
<v Speaker 2>out and makes the save. This sets up Cody and
<v Speaker 2>Sammy to feud over the summer, and also establishes Sammy
<v Speaker 2>Firmley as a bad guy by beating up Dan Housen
<v Speaker 2>in Madison Square. Guard Jonathan, I love you, brother, but
<v Speaker 2>this is a terrible idea. This is absolutely awful. First
<v Speaker 2>of all dan Housen works in small doses. I mean
<v Speaker 2>they've they've given him, given us a lot of him lately,
<v Speaker 2>But Dan Housen works doing Dan Housen stuff what you're
<v Speaker 2>talking about here, And I understand he'll be He'll be
<v Speaker 2>super popular in New York City, right, He's going to
<v Speaker 2>be so over Madison Square Garden. So I get it.
<v Speaker 2>You cannot have him in there taking Sammy's Ain to
<v Speaker 2>the limit and coming this close to becoming WWE champion.
<v Speaker 2>You cannot have Sammy's Ain resort to cheating as a
<v Speaker 2>way to beat dan Hausen to keep his title and
<v Speaker 2>expect me to still look at him with any credibility
<v Speaker 2>whatsoever for a post summer feud with Cody Rhoads. Like
<v Speaker 2>if it takes a low blow for Sammy Zane to
<v Speaker 2>beat dan Hausen in a championship match to keep his belt,
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry. I cannot take him seriously against anybody that
<v Speaker 2>you put him in the ring with. After that, you
<v Speaker 2>may as well just you may as well take the
<v Speaker 2>belt off him the very next mackdown. You will kill
<v Speaker 2>him dead. Dan Hausen should not be getting a WWE
<v Speaker 2>championship match with close near falls. I don't care what
<v Speaker 2>building they're in. I wish I could sit here and
<v Speaker 2>say that it's not anything WWE would do. But with
<v Speaker 2>this regime and the way that they know, they're so
<v Speaker 2>big on celebrity and they love Dan Housen, they're building
<v Speaker 2>that entire show around him. By the way, the advertising
<v Speaker 2>for Saturday Nights Made event has nobody on it except
<v Speaker 2>Dan Housen. You can do literally anything else you want
<v Speaker 2>to on that show with Dan Housen, but him wrestling
<v Speaker 2>for the WWE Championship and coming close to winning it
<v Speaker 2>would be the most ridiculous thing that they have done.
<v Speaker 2>I would even say it might be more ridiculous than
<v Speaker 2>what they did with Pat Mcaphee earlier this year. That's
<v Speaker 2>how ridiculous that would be. Chris from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
<v Speaker 2>Paul Hayman's interview on Insight with Chris van Vliet yielded
<v Speaker 2>the following. John Cena worked a match with Cesorrow and
<v Speaker 2>told Vince McMahon, I could made event a WrestleMania with
<v Speaker 2>that guy. Obviously Vince had his booking flaws, but if
<v Speaker 2>he was convinced to do the match on a ple
<v Speaker 2>what year an event could you see it happening. Well,
<v Speaker 2>if you were listening to the sound off at the time,
<v Speaker 2>then I don't know how recent of a fan you are,
<v Speaker 2>But I was talking about this for months, for months
<v Speaker 2>on end, pushing the idea of a Brock Lesnar Cesorrow
<v Speaker 2>match because there was a story there for it. It
<v Speaker 2>was right in front of their faces for the Royal
<v Speaker 2>Rumble in twenty fifteen. That's where it should have happened.
<v Speaker 2>And look the triple threat that we ended up getting
<v Speaker 2>with Cina and Lesner and Rollins. That was fantastic, but
<v Speaker 2>the story was so simple. Sosorrow became a Paul Hayman
<v Speaker 2>guy right coming out of that WrestleMania in twenty fourteen.
<v Speaker 2>Hayman was coming out there every single week after that
<v Speaker 2>talking about Brock Lesner is the one in twenty one
<v Speaker 2>and one. He's the man who ended the Undertaker's undefeated
<v Speaker 2>strigger WrestleMania, right over and over and over again every
<v Speaker 2>single week, and at some point that's got to get
<v Speaker 2>on Csorrow's nerves. It becomes an issue and you go
<v Speaker 2>from there with it. Once Brock is back, because Brock
<v Speaker 2>had taken a few months off, as he always did,
<v Speaker 2>you can start to really build tension until one day
<v Speaker 2>Csorrow's had enough. He knows he can beat Hayman's beast, right,
<v Speaker 2>he knows he can take that championship from Brock and
<v Speaker 2>they have a match at the Royal Rumble because they're
<v Speaker 2>not going to headline WrestleMania with that, but the Rumble
<v Speaker 2>is a safe choice. The Rumble match is always going
<v Speaker 2>to be the focus of that show anyway, usually not
<v Speaker 2>going to be the title match. They could have absolutely
<v Speaker 2>gotten away with doing that match there on that show.
<v Speaker 2>That was the time and place to do it, and
<v Speaker 2>it never happened because, as we know, and Hayman talked
<v Speaker 2>about it again in his interview with Chris van Vliet,
<v Speaker 2>their plan was never to push to Sorrow. It was
<v Speaker 2>to give Hayman something to do on TV until Brock
<v Speaker 2>came back. Everybody was so excited at that time. Oh man,
<v Speaker 2>he's a Hayman guy. Now this is going to be great.
<v Speaker 2>He bodies slam Big show out of the ring to
<v Speaker 2>win the Andre Battle Royal. What a great moment. And
<v Speaker 2>now he's a Hayman guy. Right, Everything's coming up aces
<v Speaker 2>for this man. And they never had any intention of
<v Speaker 2>pushing him as a Paul Hayman guy. It was all
<v Speaker 2>about giving Hayman something to do and something to say
<v Speaker 2>on TV every week until Brock came back. He was
<v Speaker 2>a fucking joke. Squeaky from Washington. Have you heard rumors
<v Speaker 2>about Vince McMahon not liking Raven because of his friendship
<v Speaker 2>with Shane. If so, could you expand on it. I
<v Speaker 2>just think it's so interesting and bizarre. Well, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>that was one of the many reasons that Raven's first
<v Speaker 2>run with WWE fail. That was the Johnny Polo run.
<v Speaker 2>Vince had him doing everything but wrestle, you know, and
<v Speaker 2>he wanted to wrestle. That's really what it boiled down
<v Speaker 2>to me. He was a manager, he was a commentator,
<v Speaker 2>He was an associate producer from Monday Night Raw, and
<v Speaker 2>he has said in past interviews that Vince was grooming
<v Speaker 2>him to be on the creative team with Bruce and Pat.
<v Speaker 2>And he said it was nice, you know, to make
<v Speaker 2>a six figure salary and he got health benefits because
<v Speaker 2>he was an employee. He mentioned he had Cobra insurance
<v Speaker 2>when he left. For those who live here in the
<v Speaker 2>States who know what Cobra is, basically, you can continue
<v Speaker 2>your health insurance but now you're paying for You have
<v Speaker 2>the same level of coverage, but now you're responsible for
<v Speaker 2>paying for But he wanted to wrestle. He wanted to wrestle.
<v Speaker 2>There's also the relationships that he was having with female
<v Speaker 2>coworkers in the office that led to a company policy
<v Speaker 2>that banned that sort of thing. They should have called
<v Speaker 2>it the Raven effect. It's kind of funny looking back
<v Speaker 2>at it, considering all the non disclosure agreements that Vince
<v Speaker 2>McMahon would later sign with various women over the years.
<v Speaker 2>Fraternizing with female colleagues. But the Shane stuff was kind
<v Speaker 2>of the nail in the coffin for him, because he
<v Speaker 2>got real tight with Shane McMahon for a while there,
<v Speaker 2>and so he would take and Shane. How old was
<v Speaker 2>Shane Shane had to be early twenties at that point,
<v Speaker 2>and he would take Shane out partying. And there's the
<v Speaker 2>famous story. One night Vince is sleeping Shane drunk dials
<v Speaker 2>Vince at like four point thirty in the morning and
<v Speaker 2>he calls him Vic, Hey, Vic, which is what Johnny
<v Speaker 2>Polo would call Vince on TV when they did commentary together.
<v Speaker 2>So Vincent he had to go right away. He goes, Hey, Vic,
<v Speaker 2>I'm staying over at Polo's place tonight. So yeah, Vincent, Linda.
<v Speaker 2>They had no love for Scott Levy. He was corrupting
<v Speaker 2>their baby boy. A lot of the boys gave shit
<v Speaker 2>for sucking up to Vince, and he was like, what
<v Speaker 2>are you talking about? Like, if anything, I'm getting heat,
<v Speaker 2>and it did. It got him a lot of heat
<v Speaker 2>and then he was gone. Jack from San Diego, I've
<v Speaker 2>been very annoyed with the lack of good tag team
<v Speaker 2>names lately, and I'm wondering if you feel the same. Nowadays,
<v Speaker 2>it seems like companies just slap two wrestlers' names or
<v Speaker 2>gimmicks together for their team name and call it a day.
<v Speaker 2>Even fans online often have this same mindset. Gone are
<v Speaker 2>the days of Demolition, Legion of Doom, Road Warriors, the Rockers.
<v Speaker 2>Imagine if Demolition was around today, they would be called
<v Speaker 2>the Smashing Axes or something. Curious to hear your opinion,
<v Speaker 2>do you think wrestling needs more original tag team names? Also,
<v Speaker 2>what are some of the best and worst team names
<v Speaker 2>in modern wrestling? Well, I agree with you, they do
<v Speaker 2>need more of it, and yes, most of the names
<v Speaker 2>are are fucking terrible. Right, the Judgment day. I'm used
<v Speaker 2>to it by now, but honestly, the Judgment it's a
<v Speaker 2>pretty bad name. The MFTs is a terrible name, The
<v Speaker 2>Vision sucks, the war Raiders doesn't make any sense, Phraxium
<v Speaker 2>is really not that great. I think Damian Priest in
<v Speaker 2>Our Truth get called themselves WEPA up. It's the real thing.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not making that up, I don't think. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know if they call them that on TV anymore. But
<v Speaker 2>at one point that was supposedly their team name, WEPA Up.
<v Speaker 2>Now we know with Damian Priest it's wepa time, but
<v Speaker 2>like as a tag team name, right, because with Truth
<v Speaker 2>it's like what's up? So they just put them together.
<v Speaker 2>It's exactly what Jack is talking about here, WEPA Up.
<v Speaker 2>That has to go down in the annals of some
<v Speaker 2>of the words. Like if you think of the worst
<v Speaker 2>tag team names, and there have been some bad ones. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>we've had the Ding Dongs, We've had the Dicks, there
<v Speaker 2>have been some bad tag team names over the years.
<v Speaker 2>WEPA Up is gonna be in the top ten, guarantee, guarantee,
<v Speaker 2>top ten worst tag team names of all time. American
<v Speaker 2>Maid actually American Maid is not a bad name, but
<v Speaker 2>they're not even American Maid anymore. There are a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of luchadors under a mask, Julio and Bruto. American Maid
<v Speaker 2>doesn't exist anymore. Fatal Influence is not a bad name.
<v Speaker 2>I like Fatal Influence. The Righteous I think that's fine.
<v Speaker 2>The Bang Bang Gang sucks. The conglomeration is not good.
<v Speaker 2>The Dogs is a shit name. Divine Dominion is pretty cool.
<v Speaker 2>I thought The Murder Machines was a good one, but
<v Speaker 2>I don't think Brian Cage and Lance Archer are even
<v Speaker 2>a team anymore. The Swirl forgot about that gem in
<v Speaker 2>aw the Swirl. I mean, what the fuck are we
<v Speaker 2>doing here? What are we doing with these names? I
<v Speaker 2>agree we need an overhaul here with these tag team names.
<v Speaker 2>This is terrible. Liam from Milton Keynes, England, I want
<v Speaker 2>to thank you for your podcast. Really Hell help me
<v Speaker 2>when my dad passed away last year and helped me
<v Speaker 2>with my sobriety. I've got a question for the sound off.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sure if this has been asked, but have
<v Speaker 2>you heard Devon Dudley's comments a couple of months ago
<v Speaker 2>about how Jim Ross was racist to him? When he
<v Speaker 2>was in WW. Well, first of all, I'm glad that
<v Speaker 2>you are doing well now. Liam. I appreciate you sharing that,
<v Speaker 2>and yes I did hear. I thought I talked about it,
<v Speaker 2>but I did hear the comments. I'm not going to
<v Speaker 2>go through all of it again, but he shared actually
<v Speaker 2>multiple experiences of dealing with Jim Ross in WWE and
<v Speaker 2>Jim Ross saying things to him that, you know, were
<v Speaker 2>very racist. I mean, if Jim Ross said these things
<v Speaker 2>to him, and I don't really see why Devon would
<v Speaker 2>just make it up. I mean, there's no two ways
<v Speaker 2>are out. It was very inappropriate and very disappointing. Zach
<v Speaker 2>from Liberty, Kentucky. I was rewatching Cody and Romans match
<v Speaker 2>from WrestleMania of forty and it got me thinking wrestle
<v Speaker 2>forty was a great show, just like WrestleMania seventeen. But
<v Speaker 2>if you remember, after WrestleMania seventeen, creative started to go downhill,
<v Speaker 2>just like creative for WWE after WrestleMania of forty. Am
<v Speaker 2>I crazy for thinking this? Or do you think I'm
<v Speaker 2>onto something?
<v Speaker 1>No?
<v Speaker 2>I mean there's there's something to it when you have
<v Speaker 2>a big match and you pay it off or a
<v Speaker 2>big story and you pay it off with the big
<v Speaker 2>climax of the story. You've got a reset, and when
<v Speaker 2>you push the reset button, sometimes you reset and you
<v Speaker 2>you try to start a new story, and that new
<v Speaker 2>story sucks. Other times you might start a new story
<v Speaker 2>and it's it's a good story. We certainly haven't gotten
<v Speaker 2>a lot of that from WWE since WrestleMania of forty
<v Speaker 2>Brianna from Jackson, Mississippi. I was reading the Wrestling Observer
<v Speaker 2>Complete Collection from January to June of nineteen ninety seven
<v Speaker 2>on kindle, and in the June sixteenth edition, Dave recaps
<v Speaker 2>not only the fight between Roddy Piper and Kevin nat
<v Speaker 2>after Nitro, but also the hair pulling incident between Brett
<v Speaker 2>Hart and Shawn Michaels which happened on the same day. Oh,
<v Speaker 2>I remember that they were pulling each other's hair like
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of girls in the bathroom. They had to
<v Speaker 2>be separate. I think Brett ripped a chunk of Sean's
<v Speaker 2>hair out of his head, and then I think on
<v Speaker 2>TV that night they announced that there was some unprofessional
<v Speaker 2>conduct right and both men had been sent home. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>he says in his opinion while Brett and Sean were
<v Speaker 2>both jockeying for the top position in the company, Stone
<v Speaker 2>Cold and the Undertaker had become bigger stars. This is
<v Speaker 2>this is I guess in Breonna's opinion at this point
<v Speaker 2>in June of ninety seven. I guess in Dave as
<v Speaker 2>she's saying, that's Dave's opinion at this point in June
<v Speaker 2>of ninety seven. How would you rank Taker, Austin, Brett,
<v Speaker 2>and Sean purely in terms of star power. In terms
<v Speaker 2>of star power and importance to the company, Brett would
<v Speaker 2>be number one, Brett would be number one. I would say,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, Sean was in and out a lot in
<v Speaker 2>the early part of ninety seven, but I would still
<v Speaker 2>have to say, oh man, it's tough. I go back
<v Speaker 2>and forth between Shawn and Austin in this spot. Austin
<v Speaker 2>hadn't I mean, he was very popular, but he hadn't
<v Speaker 2>really caught fire in the way that he would later
<v Speaker 2>in the year. So I would say Brett, then Sean,
<v Speaker 2>then Austin, and then take her. Taker was that guy
<v Speaker 2>you could rely on. He was loyal to the company.
<v Speaker 2>He was a very important part of that roster. But
<v Speaker 2>he was not a star on the level of the
<v Speaker 2>other three at that time, I would rank him dead last.
<v Speaker 2>Simon from Iowa. I've noticed over the years that the
<v Speaker 2>World Heavyweight title looked the best on Batista, and the
<v Speaker 2>WWE title twenty fifteen looked the best on Seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 2>Honorable mention Ray and Eddie with the WWE Tag team belts,
<v Speaker 2>as well as Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Do you
<v Speaker 2>have any mentions to who looks best with which? I
<v Speaker 2>always thought Brett looked pretty good with that winged Eagle.
<v Speaker 2>I thought Randy Savage looked pretty good with the Winged
<v Speaker 2>Eagle as well. I actually liked the Ultimate Warrior and
<v Speaker 2>all the different colored belts that he had, the blue
<v Speaker 2>and the yellow. What else did he have? You had
<v Speaker 2>the white? That's what I have. I have the replica
<v Speaker 2>of winged Eagle on the white strap. So I always
<v Speaker 2>like that. In terms of I guess more recent times,
<v Speaker 2>more modern times, I mean, no one that I could
<v Speaker 2>think of in particular, really, I mean, I don't pay
<v Speaker 2>too much attention to that sort of thing. There's so
<v Speaker 2>many belts right now that don't really look all that good.
<v Speaker 2>I don't really, I don't look at it and go, man,
<v Speaker 2>that's a great belt and it looks so great on
<v Speaker 2>this person. Yeah, I don't really have too many recent
<v Speaker 2>examples I can give you, honestly, the belts just in general,
<v Speaker 2>the belts were so much better back then, like the
<v Speaker 2>the the old Intercontinental title, all right, when when Seawan
<v Speaker 2>had it, right, I thought, I always looked good on
<v Speaker 2>Sean Razor when Razor had the Intercontinental title, that was
<v Speaker 2>just a great belt. The World Heavyweight Championship is a
<v Speaker 2>pretty cool looking belt. Actually, when the Undertaker had it,
<v Speaker 2>probably two thousand and seven, and that was probably when,
<v Speaker 2>like physically, he was in the best shape of his life.
<v Speaker 2>When he had that World Heavyweight Championship on him, it
<v Speaker 2>looked like it was made for him. Neil from North Carolina,
<v Speaker 2>I heard you speak about the Extreme Horseman, which got
<v Speaker 2>me wondering, out of the original four horsemen, who is
<v Speaker 2>your favorite, Flair, Arn Only or Tully Flair. I would say,
<v Speaker 2>in order Flair, not only Flair, Tully arn and then
<v Speaker 2>Oi was I have no use for Oly Steve from Virginia.
<v Speaker 2>What are the most video game like matchups? What I
<v Speaker 2>mean is, what are the matches that would only seem
<v Speaker 2>to be booked in a video game but were actually
<v Speaker 2>made in real life.
<v Speaker 1>Oh.
<v Speaker 2>I would say the Sandman against the Invisible Man recently.
<v Speaker 2>That's a pretty good one. I don't think I could
<v Speaker 2>come up with a better example than that. Maybe El
<v Speaker 2>Grande Americano against El Grande Americano. See, that's some shit
<v Speaker 2>that would happen in two player mode where I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to be Americano, but my friend beat me to it,
<v Speaker 2>so we had Americano one and Americano two and Nicholas
<v Speaker 2>from Long Island, New York. Since WWE is having another
<v Speaker 2>Sweet Saudi Money show, I have a by Rent or
<v Speaker 2>Sell question for you. Most embarrassing Undertaker matches in Saudi Arabia,
<v Speaker 2>Undertaker against Goldberg at Super Showdown twenty nineteen, Undertaker and
<v Speaker 2>Kane against Shawn Michaels in Triple h at Crown Jewel
<v Speaker 2>twenty eighteen, or Undertaker winning the Tuake Mountain Trophy Gauntlet
<v Speaker 2>at Soup Showdown twenty twenty. Didn't we get Undertaker and
<v Speaker 2>aj Styles and the ring in that gauntlet. I don't
<v Speaker 2>remember a whole lot about that gauntlet other than how
<v Speaker 2>fucking pointless it all was. I didn't look at that
<v Speaker 2>as anything that was overly embarrassing. It's certainly not more
<v Speaker 2>embarrassing than the other two. I'm gonna I'm gonna sell
<v Speaker 2>on the uh the gauntlets. It's really between the other
<v Speaker 2>two and I gotta I mean, I gotta go with
<v Speaker 2>the tag match. I gotta buy that is the most
<v Speaker 2>embarrassing because it wasn't just Undertaker or anything Undertaker did
<v Speaker 2>other than looking old. It was Caine's mask flying off
<v Speaker 2>his head when it wasn't supposed to do. It was
<v Speaker 2>Triple h getting hurt. It was just how slow and
<v Speaker 2>just sad, how sad it was watching these four men
<v Speaker 2>who at one time were such big stars and such
<v Speaker 2>an important part of the roster, and all the great
<v Speaker 2>matches they had, and yeah, I can't, I can't go
<v Speaker 2>with anything other than that. The Goldberg thing was pretty embarrassing,
<v Speaker 2>him bashing his own fucking head and concussing himself before
<v Speaker 2>the match, and then they have all the excuses of
<v Speaker 2>how hot it was and he was concussed. It was
<v Speaker 2>just one shit show after another. And then Goldberg nearly
<v Speaker 2>paralyzing the Undertaker on that attempt at a jackhammer. I
<v Speaker 2>will forever love the look on Undertaker's face after he
<v Speaker 2>pinned Goldberg and the match was over, and they zoomed
<v Speaker 2>in on his face, like, if that isn't the most
<v Speaker 2>like disappointed dad look that you've ever seen on a wrestler,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what is. It's a close number two gonna.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna rent on that one, but I gotta buy
<v Speaker 2>on the tag match anyway. Good questions, fun questions, keep
<v Speaker 2>emailing me the solemn answer at gmail dot com. I
<v Speaker 2>will be live for the Raw post show tomorrow, two
<v Speaker 2>hours earlier than usual because Raw is starting two hours
<v Speaker 2>earlier than usual on Netflix, so just be aware of that.
<v Speaker 2>And then on Tuesday, a brand new Uncrowned wrestling show.
<v Speaker 2>If you want to know where my review is going
<v Speaker 2>to be for Forbidden Door, that is where you will
<v Speaker 2>be able to find my first thoughts on Forbidden Door.
<v Speaker 2>It will be on that show because I will not
<v Speaker 2>be live for that tonight, although I will be watching,
<v Speaker 2>so we'll talk about that, We'll talk about any fallout
<v Speaker 2>from Slammiversary Tonight, we'll talk about the Paul Hayman interview
<v Speaker 2>with Chris Van Vliet. That'll be on Tuesday plus Tuesday
<v Speaker 2>Night Titans Live with JD on his channel on Tuesday night.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure we'll have plenty to discuss, and we got
<v Speaker 2>the post Forbidden Door episode of Dynamite. Finally we're going
<v Speaker 2>to be on the road to redemption, so we'll have
<v Speaker 2>the Dynamite post show on Wednesday. We have SmackDown, which
<v Speaker 2>is a tape show next week, but I will be
<v Speaker 2>live for SmackDown, the first two hour SmackDown on Friday,
<v Speaker 2>so all of the usual shows should be going up
<v Speaker 2>and next Sunday, back with you for episode nine to seventy,
<v Speaker 2>only thirty episodes away. Can you believe it? Nine to
<v Speaker 2>seventy is coming up next Sunday. So until then, be well,
<v Speaker 2>stay saved, have yourselves a great rest of your week,
<v Speaker 2>and I will see you for more SoundOff during the
<v Speaker 2>week and next Sunday. Until then, take care, guys. The
<v Speaker 2>solo Monster sounds off backstage. We had Fraxium and the
<v Speaker 2>MotorCity machine guns. Holy shit, they live. So they're walking
<v Speaker 2>along backstage and Candice Larey approaches that She said, look
<v Speaker 2>at what happened to Johnny, and we see Johnny Gargano.
<v Speaker 2>He is lying face down on top of a box
<v Speaker 2>that has marked NXT. I want you to imagine flying
<v Speaker 2>all the way to work and you get there and
<v Speaker 2>you find out, okay, boss, what am I doing tonight?
<v Speaker 2>And your job, after flying all the way in here
<v Speaker 2>is to lay face down on top of a box
<v Speaker 2>for two minutes and say nothing. I don't even think
<v Speaker 2>he'd blinked. He looked catatonic as he was laying there.
<v Speaker 2>And that's it. That's all he did on this show.
<v Speaker 2>That was his only task today, fly into work and
<v Speaker 2>lay on top of a box. I mean, look, I
<v Speaker 2>guess it's not bad work if you can get it.
<v Speaker 4>The Solo Monster sounds off, bringing you the good, the bad,
<v Speaker 4>and the ugly. Check out the weekly live streams bonus
<v Speaker 4>content for subscribers. Follow The Sala Monster on Facebook, Instagram,
<v Speaker 4>and X the Salad Monster.
