<v Speaker 1>But here we sit in twenty twenty six and we
<v Speaker 1>are talking yet again about the Shield, and we are
<v Speaker 1>now looking at a main event for SummerSlam, or one
<v Speaker 1>of them anyway, where we are going to see Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. Fourteen
<v Speaker 1>years after the formation of the Shield, the fall of
<v Speaker 1>the Shield, they all go their separate ways. We are
<v Speaker 1>still talking about Roman Reigns in Seth Rollins and they
<v Speaker 1>are still fighting over world championships here in WWE. It
<v Speaker 1>just feels to me like the more things change, the
<v Speaker 1>more they stay the same. I looking at this King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring tournament we were going into it had
<v Speaker 1>a lot of excitement about the possibility, right the possibility
<v Speaker 1>that maybe we could end up with something like Oba
<v Speaker 1>Femi winning King of the Ring and challenging for the
<v Speaker 1>World Championship. But it seemed like there was a very
<v Speaker 1>real possibility that we could end up with Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>in Seth Rollins because there were earlier in the year
<v Speaker 1>that that was going to be the Wrestle Media main event,
<v Speaker 1>and that was the Wrestle Media main event that WWE
<v Speaker 1>wanted to do this year. Roman reigns and seth Rawlins
<v Speaker 1>now Rollins injury last year threw all of their plans
<v Speaker 1>out of whack, and so we went through about a
<v Speaker 1>gazillion different potential WrestleMania matches that they were going to
<v Speaker 1>do this. They wanted to do that, but this person
<v Speaker 1>got hurt, and on and on and on, and so
<v Speaker 1>we ended up what we ended up with this year.
<v Speaker 1>And so I kind of looked at it and said, realistically, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>if you want to set up Roman reigns and seth Rawlins,
<v Speaker 1>you've got fourteen years worth of actually fourteen plus years
<v Speaker 1>worth of history to draw from. Right, it is certainly
<v Speaker 1>a story that is rich with history between the two
<v Speaker 1>of them. Seth Rollins, also, who made the same point
<v Speaker 1>in as promo tonight, did not lose the World Heavyweight
<v Speaker 1>Championship last year. Right, He was stripped of the title
<v Speaker 1>because of an injury, and therefore he never technically got
<v Speaker 1>beat for the belt. So the natural story when he
<v Speaker 1>eventually came back was chasing for the title that he
<v Speaker 1>never lost. All of that makes sense. So when I
<v Speaker 1>saw bron Breaker and I saw Seth Rollins on opposite
<v Speaker 1>ends of the bracket and the King of the Ring tournament. Naturally,
<v Speaker 1>I said, well, if they're going to set up Roman
<v Speaker 1>and Seth for SummerSlam, they could just build to a
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rollins bron Breaker final in the King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring tournament. They could blow off their feud there in
<v Speaker 1>a match that has big steaks on the line, because
<v Speaker 1>we know that the winner of the King of the Ring,
<v Speaker 1>they've established the winner of the King of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>and Queen of the Ring will go on to challenge
<v Speaker 1>for the championship of their choosing at SummerSlam. And so
<v Speaker 1>it all seemed to align and makes sense right. Predictable, sure,
<v Speaker 1>but that would have made a whole lot of sense
<v Speaker 1>Oba Femi being in the King of the Ring. The
<v Speaker 1>issues with brock Lesnar brock Lesner coming back to screw
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi out of the Crown. Sure, predictable, but I was
<v Speaker 1>looking at it and going, Okay, you gotta do part three.
<v Speaker 1>That's how you get to it. You have him screw
<v Speaker 1>Oba out of the Crown. Oba now is just infuriated.
<v Speaker 1>You've taken something away from him that was within his
<v Speaker 1>grasp and you blow it off at Summer Slam. And
<v Speaker 1>if that's how they wanted to set up this summer
<v Speaker 1>slim cards. You know what, that would have made a
<v Speaker 1>lot of sense to me. Instead, they went a completely
<v Speaker 1>different way with it, where they bounced Seth Rollins out
<v Speaker 1>of the first round and they bounced bron Breaker out
<v Speaker 1>of the first round, all in the name of doing
<v Speaker 1>a steel cage match between them on that show that
<v Speaker 1>we saw on Saturday in Riai. They got bounced out
<v Speaker 1>of this tournament early, and so they ended up building
<v Speaker 1>to a final between Obafemi and jay Uso, which is
<v Speaker 1>a final that very few I will say nobody asked for. Right,
<v Speaker 1>There's always someone out there, but I'm gonna say nobody
<v Speaker 1>asked for a final this year of Obafemi and jay Uso. Now,
<v Speaker 1>it could have gone a very different way on Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>I'm very happy that it didn't. I'm very happy that
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi beat jay Uso and he won the crown and
<v Speaker 1>out the other way around. But I'm watching this show
<v Speaker 1>tonight and I see Obafemi out there with brock Lesner,
<v Speaker 1>who returned on the show tonight. We were all waiting
<v Speaker 1>for him to show up during the tournament. He waited
<v Speaker 1>until after the tournament was over to finally come back,
<v Speaker 1>and by the time their segment was over. At the
<v Speaker 1>top of the show, we had a major match made
<v Speaker 1>for SummerSlam this year. It will be brock Lesner and
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi Part three in Minnesota at SummerSlam inside Helen a Cell.
<v Speaker 1>Huge match and a great way to blow off a feud.
<v Speaker 1>It feels like this is a feud worthy of a
<v Speaker 1>hell in a Cell blowof I don't even remember the
<v Speaker 1>last time we had a hell in a Cell match.
<v Speaker 1>It's got to be at least a couple of years,
<v Speaker 1>and it's been even longer than that since we've seen
<v Speaker 1>brock Lesner in one opa. Femi is having himself quite
<v Speaker 1>the year. Debuts on the main roster, beats brock Lesner
<v Speaker 1>in his first WrestleMania, wins the King of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>his first time out. Now he's already getting his first
<v Speaker 1>Helen a Cell match, right, Things are progressing nicely for Obafemi.
<v Speaker 1>That's a major match to do on that show, and
<v Speaker 1>it's probably gonna be a great match too. They haven't
<v Speaker 1>spent too much time in the ring together, but the
<v Speaker 1>two matches they've had have been just smash mouth, NonStop,
<v Speaker 1>you know, exciting right finisher spam in the last match Shore.
<v Speaker 1>But they've been fun, right, and I have no doubt
<v Speaker 1>in my mind that Helena cell Is is gonna be
<v Speaker 1>fun as well. Thank you, Punk and Drew. Okay, so
<v Speaker 1>two years ago that was the last time we had
<v Speaker 1>a Helen of Selm. But what a fucking Helen a
<v Speaker 1>Sale match? That was too Punk and Drew. That was
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty four, thank you. So I like the I'm
<v Speaker 1>fine with the idea of them doing a Helen of Sell.
<v Speaker 1>That's a major attraction that's gonna sell some tickets, right,
<v Speaker 1>which is the name of the game. Still may not
<v Speaker 1>be the most important metric anymore like it used to be,
<v Speaker 1>but you still want to sell tickets to these shows, right.
<v Speaker 1>Tickets is still a major metric when it comes to
<v Speaker 1>how well business is doing. That will sell some tickets
<v Speaker 1>at Summerslim. But in order to do this, Oba Femi
<v Speaker 1>had to take his guaranteed championship match at SummerSlam, which
<v Speaker 1>is the second biggest event of the year. They're get
<v Speaker 1>a big stadium show, right, fifty thousand people, Probably not quite,
<v Speaker 1>but let's just say fifty thousand people, and he's taking
<v Speaker 1>his championship match. Based on what we heard tonight and
<v Speaker 1>the announcers back this up, and he is voluntarily he
<v Speaker 1>is voluntarily putting his guaranteed shot aside, I guess for
<v Speaker 1>a rainy day, and instead it's more important to him
<v Speaker 1>to squash this beef with Brock and so instead of
<v Speaker 1>a title match, he's going to do hell in a cell.
<v Speaker 1>And I could sit here and tell you how ridiculous
<v Speaker 1>this sounds, of course, because we just sat through an
<v Speaker 1>entire fucking month of tournament matches to build to a
<v Speaker 1>finals where the winner would be challenging for a world
<v Speaker 1>championship at SummerSlam, and now in this case, that will
<v Speaker 1>no longer be happening. So is that stupid? Yes, it's
<v Speaker 1>very stupid. What makes it even dumber, though, if you
<v Speaker 1>want to really kind of think about this logically, is
<v Speaker 1>the fact that you have a two night Summer Slam. Now.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying that a perfect scenario would be to
<v Speaker 1>have Oba go in there and wrestle twice, but you
<v Speaker 1>have Obafemi saying, you know what, we're gonna put that
<v Speaker 1>on the side. I gotta squash this. I gotta take
<v Speaker 1>care of this guy once and for all, right, on
<v Speaker 1>a show where you have, logically you have two nights,
<v Speaker 1>so you don't really have to put your championship match aside.
<v Speaker 1>And maybe you look at it and you go, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but you know what he's gonna be getting ready for
<v Speaker 1>brock Lesnar inside hell at a sale. He's not gonna
<v Speaker 1>be in the right frame of mind, you know, if
<v Speaker 1>he wants to win a world championship, you've got to
<v Speaker 1>be laser focused on the champion. It's like, okay, but
<v Speaker 1>you also have a show coming up before SummerSlam, since
<v Speaker 1>now everything's out the window apparently, and you can cash
<v Speaker 1>in your title shot anytime you want to. They do
<v Speaker 1>have an important show coming up at Madison Square Garden
<v Speaker 1>in a few weeks where if Yea logically, if he
<v Speaker 1>wanted to, he could kind of say, hey, let me
<v Speaker 1>get my title match on that show. And I understand
<v Speaker 1>the reasons why that's not gonna happen because there's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be a lot of big names and loading brock Lesner
<v Speaker 1>who were probably not going to be on that show,
<v Speaker 1>but it just, you know, it makes it You look
<v Speaker 1>at it and it just makes you shake your head.
<v Speaker 1>Why did they even have Obafemi in this tournament to
<v Speaker 1>begin with? If we were just going to get to
<v Speaker 1>the same place anyway, where we're getting Oba in a
<v Speaker 1>non title situation against Brocklesner, which we all knew we
<v Speaker 1>were going to get, and Roman Reigns against Seth Rolins.
<v Speaker 1>They were in the tournament. You could have built the
<v Speaker 1>tournament to a finale that Seth Rollins wins. And that's
<v Speaker 1>how he gets his championship match at Summerslim. He chooses
<v Speaker 1>Roman and here's why. And Seth went out there tonight
<v Speaker 1>in the main events segment when he confronted Roman and
<v Speaker 1>cut the mother of all promos. He laid it all
<v Speaker 1>out for the entire world, the entire history between them,
<v Speaker 1>It all goes back to twenty fourteen when he put
<v Speaker 1>that chair in Roman's back, and every time in a
<v Speaker 1>major match of any significance for any championship, when these
<v Speaker 1>two found themselves in the ring together, or even not
<v Speaker 1>for a champion, but in the night one main event
<v Speaker 1>last year of WRESTLEMANI is Seth Rolins every single time
<v Speaker 1>has proven to be the itch that Roman Reigns cannot scratch.
<v Speaker 1>He has been a thorn in this man's side. He
<v Speaker 1>has been a pain in this man's ass. And so
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is in the same situation that seth Rawlins
<v Speaker 1>is in where they're closer to the end than the beginning,
<v Speaker 1>and this may be their last shot, This may be
<v Speaker 1>their final dance together. Of course, this is WWE, so
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure it won't be, but this could be the
<v Speaker 1>last opportunity that Roman has to finally put this man down,
<v Speaker 1>the one guy that he has not been able to
<v Speaker 1>get rid of, the one man he has not been
<v Speaker 1>able to figure out. Right, it's a simple story. It
<v Speaker 1>makes sense. Like I said, there's a lot of history there,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm sure they're going to go out there and
<v Speaker 1>they're going to have a really good match. But I
<v Speaker 1>just cannot shake this feeling that we just sat through
<v Speaker 1>a King of the Ring tournament, and King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring is near and dear to me. And maybe it
<v Speaker 1>shouldn't be, because you know, there's been a lot of
<v Speaker 1>there's been a lot of crap over the years when
<v Speaker 1>it comes to King of the Ring. You know, poor tournaments,
<v Speaker 1>poor finals, it's not always great. But I've been a
<v Speaker 1>big fan of King of the Rings since the moment
<v Speaker 1>they brought it to pay per view back in ninety three,
<v Speaker 1>and so I love when they brought it back with
<v Speaker 1>that stipulation that the winner gets a championship match at SummerSlam. Right,
<v Speaker 1>it's very similar to the Rumble. The Rumble winner gets
<v Speaker 1>to go on to the main event of WrestleMania. And
<v Speaker 1>so now, I mean it's like everything's up in the
<v Speaker 1>air now, I mean, hell, what's stopping the Royal Rumble
<v Speaker 1>winner from doing the same thing? And say, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>I think I could get my championship match some other time.
<v Speaker 1>I got bigger business to deal with with this guy
<v Speaker 1>over here. It's just preposterous. It's just preposterous. So Oba
<v Speaker 1>Fembi will not be challenging for a championship at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns will defend his title against Seth Rollins. Those
<v Speaker 1>were the two major matches that were confirmed for SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>We already had one confirm the other night. Eo Sky
<v Speaker 1>made her choice instantly a Knight of Champion. She said,
<v Speaker 1>Live Morgan, who she just beat, I'm coming after you
<v Speaker 1>and I want that Women's World Championship. So we have
<v Speaker 1>three matches now that are confirmed for SummerSlam, with a
<v Speaker 1>fourth that is likely to happen because we got an
<v Speaker 1>update on the show tonight. For those of you who
<v Speaker 1>may have missed it. They shot an angle on social
<v Speaker 1>media after Night of Champions on Saturday, where Gunther confronted
<v Speaker 1>Nick Alldo in the back, the general manager of SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>He was very upset about what happened and Gunther dropped
<v Speaker 1>at f bomb on and they had to be pulled apart.
<v Speaker 1>Nick Alldos is on administrative leave, so for the foreseeable future,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pearce is going to be handling both Raw and SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>He will be handling the GM duties for both shows,
<v Speaker 1>which can only mean one thing. Why would Nick all
<v Speaker 1>this be placed on administrative leave Because he's finally going
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle, And I'm sure he's been waiting a very
<v Speaker 1>long time for this opportunity, probably since the moment he
<v Speaker 1>put pen to paper and signed with WWE. He's wanted
<v Speaker 1>to get in the ring. He's a wrestler, he wants
<v Speaker 1>to wrestle, and it feels like he's finally going to
<v Speaker 1>probably you know, have his chance to do so at
<v Speaker 1>Summerslim against Gunther. But boy, I mean, you look at
<v Speaker 1>where Gunther was at the beginning of this year and
<v Speaker 1>if this is going to be what they have in
<v Speaker 1>mind for him at SummerSlam. What a fall What a
<v Speaker 1>fall off for this guy from the beginning of the year.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, you know I'm mentioning all this championship stuff,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zain is the new WWE champion. He may well
<v Speaker 1>be out there in the middle of the ring in
<v Speaker 1>Atlantic City right now because the reason Raw aired early
<v Speaker 1>tonight six pm start is because they're taping SmackDown as
<v Speaker 1>we speak, SmackDown is in progress because they want to
<v Speaker 1>give all the talent off for July fourth at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the week, so they're taping SmackDown right now.
<v Speaker 1>We had Jay Usso who lost in the King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring five. And by the way, before I even
<v Speaker 1>go on, can I address the people that I saw
<v Speaker 1>on my mentions before I went live who were floating
<v Speaker 1>the idea that well, since Oba is foregoing his championship
<v Speaker 1>match for now, then the person who should get the
<v Speaker 1>championship match at Summer Slim is the runner up. It's
<v Speaker 1>the person who lost to Oba Femi. And I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>are you out of your fucking mind? Like why would
<v Speaker 1>you even suggest that, Why would you even put that
<v Speaker 1>out into the world, Why would you put that out
<v Speaker 1>into the atmosphere. Nobody wants to see that. It was
<v Speaker 1>bad enough to prospect that Jay Uso is gonna win
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring and then challenge Roman or challenge Cody.
<v Speaker 1>At Summerslim, jay Uso lost, and there are people who
<v Speaker 1>are suggesting, well, they should have just gone with Jay
<v Speaker 1>anyway because he was the runner round. So Jay Ussi
<v Speaker 1>will get a title match after having lost in the
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring. Holy shit? Can we please? Can
<v Speaker 1>we please put this shit to bed? But I bring
<v Speaker 1>up Jay Uso because Jay told Jacob fa to tonight
<v Speaker 1>on the show that Sammy's Ain is the new WWE champion,
<v Speaker 1>and so Jacob's going to SmackDown to deal with the
<v Speaker 1>Solo Socoa problem, and Jay said, you know what, I
<v Speaker 1>think I'll come. I'll be there too. I'm gonna confront
<v Speaker 1>Samy because I think I should be next to line
<v Speaker 1>for a shot at the championship. Can you imagine they
<v Speaker 1>end up getting what they want anyway? Opa Femu was
<v Speaker 1>in the toy. Here's what I think happened here. I
<v Speaker 1>have a theory about this. I have a theory about this.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, they could have avoided all of this by
<v Speaker 1>just not putting Oba in the King of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>to begin with. But my theory about this is they
<v Speaker 1>put him in the King of the Ring. They did
<v Speaker 1>not want to beat him, right. They wanted to crown,
<v Speaker 1>literally crown Oba Femi is the King of the Ring.
<v Speaker 1>But they didn't want to give him a championship match
<v Speaker 1>just yet. Maybe they want to save it for WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they want him to marinate a little bit more so,
<v Speaker 1>how do we do this? How do we give him
<v Speaker 1>a win and crown him king but not give him
<v Speaker 1>the title shot? Well, here you go. They came up
<v Speaker 1>with a way to do it, and instead we may
<v Speaker 1>be looking at a situation potentially where Oba is not
<v Speaker 1>getting a title shot at Summer Slim, but Jay Uso is.
<v Speaker 1>Now do I think that Jay Usso will be the
<v Speaker 1>one challenging for the WWE title at Summer I sure
<v Speaker 1>as fuck hope not. I don't. Maybe they would, Maybe
<v Speaker 1>they would do something like Jay and Sammy on a
<v Speaker 1>Saturday night's main event. I don't see that being the
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam match. But even even the idea of it
<v Speaker 1>is just so fucking ridiculous to me. Don't and don't
<v Speaker 1>think that I wasn't that the thought didn't cross my
<v Speaker 1>mind watching this, knowing that they were taping television in
<v Speaker 1>this building for both shows, that sammy'sz Ain would come
<v Speaker 1>out after Raw ended, come out on Smack That and
<v Speaker 1>put out some sort of open challenge where brock Lesner
<v Speaker 1>was in the same fucking building. Don't think that thought
<v Speaker 1>didn't cross my mind for a moment. But then I
<v Speaker 1>thought to myself, is brock Lesnar really going to come
<v Speaker 1>out for the opening segment on Raw and hang around
<v Speaker 1>for that long. He's already home. I'm sure he's already
<v Speaker 1>home by now. He was already home before Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>hit the ring for the closing segment on the show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I did have a thought though of actually
<v Speaker 1>to go back to Gunther and all this for a second.
<v Speaker 1>Gunther is still, you know, calling himself the career killer.
<v Speaker 1>This may be the one and only match if they
<v Speaker 1>do this match, This may be the one and only
<v Speaker 1>match that Nick all This has and they may have
<v Speaker 1>Gunther kill his career his one match in WWA. Those
<v Speaker 1>are the big developments on the show, but there was
<v Speaker 1>more than happened, and we get to talk about it.
<v Speaker 1>If this is your Monday Night Raw review for the
<v Speaker 1>final time in the month of June. It is June
<v Speaker 1>twenty ninth. And now that I say that date out loud,
<v Speaker 1>do you know what happened on this date in nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety eight, right in the thick of the Attitude era.
<v Speaker 1>This was a big deal. This is a big Raw
<v Speaker 1>on June twenty ninth. I'm pretty sure it was nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety eight, the night after the King of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>when Caine beat Austin to win the championship. On Raw.
<v Speaker 1>Twenty four hours later, Cain's run came to an end.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's ain better be taken notes, he better make himself
<v Speaker 1>scarce on SmackDown tonight. But on this night, on this night,
<v Speaker 1>was it twenty eight years ago? Steve Austin beat Kane
<v Speaker 1>to win back the WWE championship and the building went wild.
<v Speaker 1>I remember there being a sign there was in the
<v Speaker 1>Gun Arena in Cleveland, and I know that because there
<v Speaker 1>was a person holding a side in the crowd that
<v Speaker 1>said send help. The gun does on fire. And indeed
<v Speaker 1>the gun was on fire. Atlantic City was not, definitely not.
<v Speaker 1>Atlantic City was not on fire tonight for this show,
<v Speaker 1>Like and subscribe, super chats are open thank you for
<v Speaker 1>joining me a little bit earlier than usual here tonight
<v Speaker 1>to the twelve hundred plus and growing on a Monday night.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate you guys. Super chats are open as well,
<v Speaker 1>and we have a little bonus goal going in the chat.
<v Speaker 1>We're almost halfway there, which is awesome, and we're going
<v Speaker 1>to be doing be the Booker, possibly depending on what
<v Speaker 1>the wheel says here. I'll bring the wheel up here
<v Speaker 1>in a second. I did want to show you guys
<v Speaker 1>one thing before we put the wheel up. I want
<v Speaker 1>to put this photo up on the screen. I noticed
<v Speaker 1>this during raw. This popped up on my timeline. Is
<v Speaker 1>this is not AI or photoshopped. That is a photo
<v Speaker 1>that John Cena posted on his X account, and I
<v Speaker 1>assume maybe also his actually probably not on his Instagram,
<v Speaker 1>but he posted this on his X account. That is
<v Speaker 1>his doctor, his doctor that has helped him regrow his hair.
<v Speaker 1>Which is a little odd because in this photo, as
<v Speaker 1>you could see, John Cena is bald and apparently he's
<v Speaker 1>having whatever this next procedure is in his hair journey.
<v Speaker 1>I guess it required him to go bald for it.
<v Speaker 1>I have not seen bald sena. I don't think since
<v Speaker 1>the prototype days in OVW. So it was a little
<v Speaker 1>jarring seeing this image. But I'm looking at this and
<v Speaker 1>I said to myself, I go, you know, this is
<v Speaker 1>not a bad look. He should have gone he should
<v Speaker 1>have gone bald for the heel run last year. We
<v Speaker 1>could have gotten bald John Cena as a heel. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I don't know why he didn't think of
<v Speaker 1>it then. But anyway, so this is what John Cena
<v Speaker 1>looks like right now. And I'm sure soon he'll he'll
<v Speaker 1>have a brand new head of hair. But in the
<v Speaker 1>meantime you can enjoy bald John Cena. He thought he
<v Speaker 1>thought it was Ai, says Isaiah. I thought so too,
<v Speaker 1>until I saw that it came from John Cena himself.
<v Speaker 1>Let's bring up the wheel here. See what we're spinning
<v Speaker 1>for tonight. How many likes do we need to be
<v Speaker 1>the booker? No, no, no, no. We got to give
<v Speaker 1>this a manly spin. We got to give it a
<v Speaker 1>real spin. There we go. What are we looking at here?
<v Speaker 1>We're looking at six hundred, that's what we're looking at,
<v Speaker 1>all right, We're looking at six hundred likes. We were
<v Speaker 1>at three eighteen. Can we do it? Can we pull
<v Speaker 1>it out. You guys can make that happen. Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>by the way for hanging out with me on Saturday
<v Speaker 1>for the Night of Champions review. I thought we covered
<v Speaker 1>a lot of ground there and had a lot of fun,
<v Speaker 1>so I thank you for that. Ricky says, might cut
<v Speaker 1>my hair bald. Well, you don't cut your hair bald.
<v Speaker 1>You shave your head bald. And I'm not going to
<v Speaker 1>give you advice one way or the other. You do
<v Speaker 1>whatever makes you happy. So after highlights from Night of
<v Speaker 1>Champions open the show tonight, Oba Femi, the King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring, shrudded his way down to the ring to
<v Speaker 1>open things up here tonight and he said he got
<v Speaker 1>a great reaction from the crowd in Atlantic City. And
<v Speaker 1>he said, oh wait, we have an update here. We
<v Speaker 1>have breaking news, breaking news from Scorpion Deathlock in the chat.
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden Door has just ended. Okay, great. I was wondering.
<v Speaker 1>I was wondering if it was over yet or not.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently Forbidden Door just ended. It just went off the air.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you Scorpion Deathlock for the update. It's good to know.
<v Speaker 1>Opah said that that's a reaction that is befitting of
<v Speaker 1>a ruler. But now the fans have to give him
<v Speaker 1>a reception befitting of a king, and so they did.
<v Speaker 1>He said, Destiny has not done with him yet, though
<v Speaker 1>he has a choice to make. But before he can
<v Speaker 1>make that choice, we heard brock Lesner's music and I
<v Speaker 1>thought to myself, boy, this escalated quickly. They're going right
<v Speaker 1>to Final Jeopardy. Here out comes brock Lesner. He's got
<v Speaker 1>Paul Hayman with him. We have not seen Paul Hayman
<v Speaker 1>since he was speared through the barricade by bron Breaker,
<v Speaker 1>or technically we haven't seen him since he sat down
<v Speaker 1>with Chris van Vliet. He looked pretty good in that
<v Speaker 1>interview that was only a few weeks ago, though I
<v Speaker 1>don't know when they recorded that. So he circled the
<v Speaker 1>ring as he usually does, he climbed inside and he
<v Speaker 1>gave Oba a very happy, sarcastic intro as the new King.
<v Speaker 1>He was very open and honest here in this segment.
<v Speaker 1>He said the most honest thing that he's probably ever said.
<v Speaker 1>He told Oba, he goes he hasn't watched the show.
<v Speaker 1>He said, I apologize, but I haven't watched the show.
<v Speaker 1>But he congratulated Oba, and he also pointed out that
<v Speaker 1>he too won King of the Ring once before, and
<v Speaker 1>Paul tells him that OBA has a big decision. First
<v Speaker 1>of all, can you blame brock for not watching the show?
<v Speaker 1>He's admitted this on the actual television show before. This
<v Speaker 1>is not the first time that brock Lesner has gone
<v Speaker 1>on TV and said I don't watch the show. I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate the honesty, I do. I actually am quite envious
<v Speaker 1>of him, But Brock is not the one who has
<v Speaker 1>to sit here every single week and talk about this
<v Speaker 1>and dissect it and analyze and discuss with all of you.
<v Speaker 1>Brock Lesner can't be bothered with any of that shit.
<v Speaker 1>But because he doesn't watch the show, he's been brought
<v Speaker 1>up to speed on things by Paul Hayman. Paul keeps
<v Speaker 1>him in the loop and Paul tells him that OBA
<v Speaker 1>has a big decision to make. He also tells him
<v Speaker 1>that OBA has been calling him names, so, for example,
<v Speaker 1>when he's not here, Paul tells him that OBA is
<v Speaker 1>calling him a coward, he calls him a bitch. He
<v Speaker 1>also tells him that he cuts a great promo, which
<v Speaker 1>he never really could, but that's why he's got mister
<v Speaker 1>Hayman over here. Funny enough, I actually thought that this
<v Speaker 1>was one of the best probos brock Lesner ever cut.
<v Speaker 1>For a guy who came out on television tonight and
<v Speaker 1>admitted that he can't cut provos, I thought this was
<v Speaker 1>one of the better brock Lesnar probos from start to finish.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, but Oba, you know what they say, talk shit,
<v Speaker 1>get hit, And he didn't hit him. He kicked him.
<v Speaker 1>He kicked him low, He kicked him in the dick.
<v Speaker 1>Brock Lesner knows all about that. Actually, the last time
<v Speaker 1>he was in the hell in a cell probably was
<v Speaker 1>with the Undertaker. That was during their feud where Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>was just going around Dick kicking him left and right.
<v Speaker 1>So he kicked him in the crotch and then he
<v Speaker 1>picked him up and he dropped him with an F five.
<v Speaker 1>And then Lesner left the ring and Hayman was talking
<v Speaker 1>to him outside and Hayman just told him, now, that
<v Speaker 1>was a great promo, and Brock smiled and said thank you,
<v Speaker 1>and the two of them shook hands. That was great.
<v Speaker 1>So they were going to leave Oba, though holding his groin,
<v Speaker 1>he grabbed them microphone. He stood back up. He said,
<v Speaker 1>this is what brock always does. He shows up, he
<v Speaker 1>has fives and he leaves and you said, I called
<v Speaker 1>you names behind your back. Well guess what you're in
<v Speaker 1>front of me, and you're still a bitch. So here's
<v Speaker 1>the deal. We can play cat and rat forever, or
<v Speaker 1>we can settle the score, me and you one on
<v Speaker 1>one Oba Femi versus brock Lesner at SummerSlam. What's it
<v Speaker 1>going to be? And Brock said he accepts, but there's
<v Speaker 1>one condition. SummerSlam Minneapolis hell in a cell And I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>whoa hold on here, It's been a while since we've
<v Speaker 1>gotten one of those. Last time we got one, it
<v Speaker 1>was one of the best hell of a sell matches
<v Speaker 1>this company's ever done. They got some big shoes to fill.
<v Speaker 1>Now after the break, I'll just lump all this together here.
<v Speaker 1>After the break, Hayman was with Adam Pierre in the
<v Speaker 1>back and he was putting over what a big attraction
<v Speaker 1>he just delivered to him for somers Let we gotta
<v Speaker 1>sell so many tickets with this, And Pierce said, well,
<v Speaker 1>I would have liked to have just gotten a heads up.
<v Speaker 1>At least he was upset. Austin Theory showed up. He
<v Speaker 1>was shocked to see Hayman back. Apparently Hayman wasn't returning
<v Speaker 1>his calls. Hayman wasn't returning his text messages. I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>either if Austin Theory was texting me NonStop. So he
<v Speaker 1>was just very surprised to see him there. Now, Theory
<v Speaker 1>was the only member of the Vision not named Paul Hayman,
<v Speaker 1>who is actually on the show tonight. Bron Breaker was
<v Speaker 1>not there, Logan Paul was not there. Bronson Reid was
<v Speaker 1>not there. This is what the Vision has been reduced to.
<v Speaker 1>Can you blame Paul Hayman. He's got one foot out
<v Speaker 1>the door. He doesn't need the Vision anymore. The Vision
<v Speaker 1>is going the way of Curtis Axel and Csorrow and
<v Speaker 1>Rye Back in terms of Paul Hayman. Guys, all right,
<v Speaker 1>you could see the writing on the wall. Hayman doesn't
<v Speaker 1>need this, he doesn't want anything to do with this anymore,
<v Speaker 1>because the Vision more or less doesn't exist anymore. But
<v Speaker 1>Hayman said, well you didn't know I was here, Well
<v Speaker 1>now you do. He just walked away. He sounded very
<v Speaker 1>annoyed with Austin Theory, and Pierce then excused himself because
<v Speaker 1>he spotted Obafemi off in the distance, So yeah, you
<v Speaker 1>get to go back to Haymen. Han's good. That's the
<v Speaker 1>next step. Han's going to be on bended knee begging
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns to police, take me back, take me back.
<v Speaker 1>Pierce walks over to Obafemi and he asked him. He goes,
<v Speaker 1>I want to make sure I heard this right, Like,
<v Speaker 1>are you sure that this is what you want? And
<v Speaker 1>Oba said yes. He said the title will always be there,
<v Speaker 1>but I need to end things with Lesner, me and
<v Speaker 1>Brock Helen is Cell and so it's been since then,
<v Speaker 1>it's been made official and they're gonna have a Helen
<v Speaker 1>of Cell non title obviously Helen is Cell match at
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slim. So opa Femi is foregoing his championship match
<v Speaker 1>on that show to finish the feud once and for
<v Speaker 1>all with this man again, even though Summer Clima is
<v Speaker 1>two nights, even though there's another major show, kind of
<v Speaker 1>major between now and then, there are other opportunities between
<v Speaker 1>now and then, if not that weekend for him to
<v Speaker 1>collect on his championship opportunity. He is going to do it.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody else has ever done. He basically this really was.
<v Speaker 1>It was very much like the Rock and Cody thing
<v Speaker 1>from a couple of years ago, where Cody was willing
<v Speaker 1>to voluntarily give up his guaranteed championship match at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>which he earned by winning the Royal Rumble in order
<v Speaker 1>to step aside and allow the Rock to take his place, which,
<v Speaker 1>to believe Nick Cohn was the plan all along. Everything
<v Speaker 1>went exactly according to the way that we wanted it
<v Speaker 1>to because we're all geniuses. Look at the big brain
<v Speaker 1>on these guys, so basically we have sort of a
<v Speaker 1>a version of that here. Obviously, this is going to
<v Speaker 1>be a very big match on that show. I think
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be a great match. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if it's going to be brock Lesner's final match. I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure some people will look at this and go, well,
<v Speaker 1>this is potentially a much bigger deal, right to be
<v Speaker 1>able to go down as the man who retired brock
<v Speaker 1>Lesner after what we saw at WrestleMania, though, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to take a lot to convince me that
<v Speaker 1>Brock really would be winding it down at SummerSlam. There's
<v Speaker 1>been nothing said about that. I don't know if that
<v Speaker 1>might be a stipulation that gets added to it. If
<v Speaker 1>I don't beat you, then I don't deserve to be
<v Speaker 1>doing this anymore, and I'm going to walk away, right.
<v Speaker 1>They could still add something to the match, but anybody
<v Speaker 1>who's talking about the possibility of this being brocks last match,
<v Speaker 1>it's all just speculation. And it all goes back to
<v Speaker 1>John Cena, his comment that he made when he was
<v Speaker 1>interviewed by CVV last year. We don't know if this
<v Speaker 1>is going to be Brock's last match or not, but
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna be big. I just I don't like how
<v Speaker 1>in this case, for this year, it has rendered pointless.
<v Speaker 1>Might be too strong of a word I am. I
<v Speaker 1>am left to assume that Obafemi will still have a
<v Speaker 1>guaranteed championship match whenever he wants it, like in six months.
<v Speaker 1>If he shows up on RAW one night and says
<v Speaker 1>to Adam Pierce, hey, you know what, I think it's
<v Speaker 1>about time I get that title match that I earned
<v Speaker 1>by winning King of the Ring, then they may have
<v Speaker 1>to make a championship. I don't know how this is
<v Speaker 1>going to work now. I don't know if they know
<v Speaker 1>for sure how this is gonna work. I'm assuming, I'm
<v Speaker 1>assuming he's not foregoing the title shot. He's foregoing it
<v Speaker 1>at summerslim So it's not completely pointless if that's how
<v Speaker 1>it works out, because he would still have that in
<v Speaker 1>his back pocket. But to me, for now anyway, it
<v Speaker 1>really does make King of the Ring just seem kind
<v Speaker 1>of pointless and trivial, and like we just sat through
<v Speaker 1>a month of matches that we're building to the big
<v Speaker 1>finale to find out who was going to be the guy,
<v Speaker 1>and now it's just rendered it's rendered meaningless for now,
<v Speaker 1>and Seth Rollins just steps in and gets a World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight Championship match anyway, and then you know, Sammy's ain
<v Speaker 1>will be defending his title against Cody or whoever it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be. On the other side that I don't like.
<v Speaker 1>It marginalizes King of the Ring at least for the
<v Speaker 1>time being anyway in my eyes, that I don't like.
<v Speaker 1>And I just think it was it was probably the
<v Speaker 1>best way to go, but only because they booked themselves
<v Speaker 1>into the situation. Like there are other ways they could
<v Speaker 1>have gone about this that I'm not too hot on.
<v Speaker 1>I might have ended up making the same decision, you know,
<v Speaker 1>given the conditions that we were dealt with here, But
<v Speaker 1>they booked themselves into this situation. It didn't have to
<v Speaker 1>be this way. You could have had a coherent King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring tournament where the winner is going to
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slim the challenge for the title, and it could
<v Speaker 1>have been Seth Rawlins. And yes, you would have had
<v Speaker 1>people who would be like, oh, why is Seth winning
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring? What does he need King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring for? Right, You're never going to be able
<v Speaker 1>to please everybody, but at least in that situation, it
<v Speaker 1>would have made more sense. They did this to themselves.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they wanted to give Oba the big win,
<v Speaker 1>but they weren't quite ready to go all the way
<v Speaker 1>with him, and so this is what we ended up
<v Speaker 1>with here now Seth Rollins. It felt to me when
<v Speaker 1>this segment was over, like, well, we're going to get
<v Speaker 1>Roman in Seth. And obviously we got our answer at
<v Speaker 1>the end of the show. On the SmackDown side, it's
<v Speaker 1>a little more unpredictable, and I like that coming out
<v Speaker 1>of Night of Champions, we don't know for sure what
<v Speaker 1>the match is going to be on the SmackDown side
<v Speaker 1>at Summer Slammer, which night it's going to be. It
<v Speaker 1>could still be the Night too main event, especially if
<v Speaker 1>Punk were to be involved, where seam Punk at a
<v Speaker 1>factor into this, Do we get Sammy and Cody to
<v Speaker 1>Sammy even make it to summer Slim as the WWE champion.
<v Speaker 1>I hope so, I hope he does, you know, I
<v Speaker 1>think it would be ridiculous if he didn't. But it's
<v Speaker 1>it's a little harder to predict ultimately what that match
<v Speaker 1>is going to be. Maybe we'll find out before the
<v Speaker 1>night is over. Maybe before the night is over, you know,
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown this week, which will be airing on Friday.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe we'll we'll have our answer on that. After this,
<v Speaker 1>we had Raymysterio one on one with Ethan Page. Page
<v Speaker 1>had a side suit plex onto the top turn buckle
<v Speaker 1>just dropped him down. Ray fell to the floor outside
<v Speaker 1>after a break, Ethan charged at him, got low bridged
<v Speaker 1>out to the floor. Ray followed with that sliding splash
<v Speaker 1>that he does. Page mowed him down later with a
<v Speaker 1>big boot and a power slam for a near fall,
<v Speaker 1>and Ethan picked up Mysterio on his shoulders in a
<v Speaker 1>fireman's carry position, got up to the middle rote. Ray
<v Speaker 1>was able to counter out into an avalanche Hurri Karana
<v Speaker 1>six yet nine frog splash. That's all she wrote. And
<v Speaker 1>ray Masterio picks up the wind because that's really a
<v Speaker 1>win that he needed. That's really a win that he needed. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's bad enough that bron Breaker lost the feud to
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rawlins, and we know why because they were setting
<v Speaker 1>up Seth to challenge Romans, so it made sense that
<v Speaker 1>Seth would get the win. It's not ideal though in
<v Speaker 1>a perfect world, it wouldn't have come down to that
<v Speaker 1>and bron Breaker would have been able to win the feud.
<v Speaker 1>So it's bad enough. We saw that on Saturday, and
<v Speaker 1>now I'm watching Ethan Page lose to ray Masterio. And
<v Speaker 1>there's no shame in losing to ray Mysterio. But we're
<v Speaker 1>trying to build up some new faces here on this show.
<v Speaker 1>I could only hope that we get a little win
<v Speaker 1>streak going for Ethan because I think he could be
<v Speaker 1>a big player on this show this year. Hopefully he
<v Speaker 1>can string together some way. I think last week he
<v Speaker 1>beat Dragonly. I want to see him string together some wins.
<v Speaker 1>He did tell Kathy Kelly during one of the commercial breaks,
<v Speaker 1>she interviewed him, and he said that he guaranteed that
<v Speaker 1>he will be draped in gold. I hope so. I
<v Speaker 1>hope he'll be raped an intercontinental gold. At some point
<v Speaker 1>I'd rather Chad Gable get there before him, But at
<v Speaker 1>some point I hope he is. Meanwhile, Dominic Mysterio and
<v Speaker 1>JD McDonough they entered Dan Housen's science lab backstage. They
<v Speaker 1>were looking for him. They were bitching about all the money,
<v Speaker 1>the one hundred thousand dollars that he owes, which is
<v Speaker 1>still hilarious to me because that segment aired on social media.
<v Speaker 1>It never aired on the television show. I don't believe
<v Speaker 1>they ever even showed it. I don't think they ever
<v Speaker 1>replayed it. We're just told that he stole one hundred
<v Speaker 1>grand from the judgment day and they want their money back.
<v Speaker 1>So they couldn't find him. Dom though he found a
<v Speaker 1>giant frame. Now from behind it looked like a giant
<v Speaker 1>frame poster. It was some sort of gift. You could
<v Speaker 1>tell because on the back it said that it was
<v Speaker 1>from the New York Knicks. They had gifted something to
<v Speaker 1>dan Hausen. We just couldn't see what it was. So
<v Speaker 1>dom took dan Hausen's gift and McDonough said, hey, we
<v Speaker 1>should the place, Joe Hendry was back, and you know
<v Speaker 1>what that means. That means he gets no entrance. This
<v Speaker 1>is a recurring theme here on this television show. When
<v Speaker 1>he actually shows up, he doesn't get an entrance. The
<v Speaker 1>entrance is like the most important part of his whole act.
<v Speaker 1>It's the song, and they never air it on TV.
<v Speaker 1>It's unbelievable. I don't understand it. Occasionally, sure, I could
<v Speaker 1>see that every single time he comes out during the
<v Speaker 1>commercial break. By the time they come back, maybe you
<v Speaker 1>hear the tail end of the song, but he's already
<v Speaker 1>in the ring. And that's what they did here, no
<v Speaker 1>televised entrance for Joe Hendry. He asked the fans if
<v Speaker 1>they were ready for another concert, and then he introduced
<v Speaker 1>the new World Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits, who
<v Speaker 1>made their way down to the ring, and we had wait,
<v Speaker 1>what is it breaking in Brie Bella will be competing.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, can't wait, can't wait. Let's not be talking
<v Speaker 1>about SmackDown though, no SmackDown spoilers in the chat. Save
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown for another time. So the Street Profits come down
<v Speaker 1>to the ring and the fans tell them, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they deserve it. Montes Ford thanked Seth Rollins and Angelo
<v Speaker 1>Dawkins backed them up on that. They thank Seth, and
<v Speaker 1>then Tes said we have to thank the man himself though,
<v Speaker 1>that man being Joe Hendry, and Joe Hendry broke out
<v Speaker 1>into song. So I'll read you. I will not sing you,
<v Speaker 1>I will read you the lyrics to this song. He said,
<v Speaker 1>they've got new tag Team champs. Everyone makes some noise.
<v Speaker 1>They're in Atlantic City, a celebration with all the boys.
<v Speaker 1>There will be no Obron Breaker, and we won't hear
<v Speaker 1>Logan talk. There will be no Paul Hayman because he's
<v Speaker 1>occupied with Brock. And that leaves Austin Theory. Austin Theory
<v Speaker 1>cries himself to sleep at night since John Cena destroyed
<v Speaker 1>him on the mic. And I'm sitting here wondering, why
<v Speaker 1>are we referring to something that happened three years ago
<v Speaker 1>here that led to a shitty match at WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. Not Austin Theory's finest hour anyway, his terrible song,
<v Speaker 1>This was not his best work. His terrible song was
<v Speaker 1>interrupted by Austin Theory and he said, Joe mentioned John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>the same John Cena that he beats at WrestleMania. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>the prophets are jumping around celebrating. He's already talked to
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pearce and next week there is going to be
<v Speaker 1>a rematch for the World Tag Team Championships. Oh Joy
<v Speaker 1>Dawkins Theory if he really wants to get the Dog
<v Speaker 1>hurt again, because bron Breaker was all beat up. He's
<v Speaker 1>all bloody coming out of that cage match on Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>He wasn't there on the show tonight. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>Theory said that next week the Dog's going to be
<v Speaker 1>off the leash, and he said he appreciates Joe making
<v Speaker 1>his last song about him, and just like he said
<v Speaker 1>Sina destroyed him on the mic, He's going to destroy
<v Speaker 1>Joe in the ring tonight. So Hendry said, you know,
<v Speaker 1>we could wait until later, or they could do this
<v Speaker 1>right here, right now, which usually when somebody says that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's intended to get a big reaction from
<v Speaker 1>the crowd, and it didn't get much of a reaction.
<v Speaker 1>But I mean, you know, can you blame the fans?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's a match with Austin Theory. He's the
<v Speaker 1>fall guy for the Vision. Everybody knows that. So Not
<v Speaker 1>only does Joe Hendry get his entrances cut from the
<v Speaker 1>television show right, his entrances take place during the commercial breaks.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently that's also where his matches begin as well, because
<v Speaker 1>when they came back, they joined his match already in progress.
<v Speaker 1>So in case you were wondering where this man is
<v Speaker 1>slotted on the show, they're making it very very clear
<v Speaker 1>to you without actually saying it. They're showing you. They're
<v Speaker 1>showing you where he's at. So Hendry caught Theory off
<v Speaker 1>a cross body. He dumped him with a fallaway slam.
<v Speaker 1>Hendry then hit a discus lariot, which Michael Cole called
<v Speaker 1>the hit Single, only for a near fall. Theory hit
<v Speaker 1>a neck breaker out of a vertical suplex, also for
<v Speaker 1>a near fall. Hendry came back with the standing ovation
<v Speaker 1>the uranagi for the win. Well, look, I mean, it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't much of a match, but at least he won.
<v Speaker 1>It could have been worse. He could have been Ethan paged.
<v Speaker 1>At least he won this match. Here again, I don't
<v Speaker 1>understand the point of cutting his entrance every time we
<v Speaker 1>see him on TV. You know, we could laugh at
<v Speaker 1>it and have fun with it, but I genuinely don't
<v Speaker 1>understand why every single time that happens, because his entrance
<v Speaker 1>is like the biggest part of his act. That's his song,
<v Speaker 1>that's the song that got him over. You want the
<v Speaker 1>fans to sway and sing along to it when they
<v Speaker 1>come out, and that's fine, and I guess in the
<v Speaker 1>building you would hope they would do it. But that's
<v Speaker 1>something that should be airing at least occasionally on television.
<v Speaker 1>He hasn't been on the show very often to really
<v Speaker 1>establish it. There are people watching RAW who don't know
<v Speaker 1>who the fuck this guy is. They didn't follow him
<v Speaker 1>in TNA, maybe they didn't follow him in NXT. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why. He's just defaulted to the commercial guy here,
<v Speaker 1>like he's never gonna be like the world heavyweight champion
<v Speaker 1>in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. I get that, but
<v Speaker 1>it just baffles me that every single time we see him,
<v Speaker 1>they they just cut his entrance out. It's just weird
<v Speaker 1>to me. Anyway. Backstage, Raquel Rodriguez was asking Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 1>why she hasn't gotten a shot at the intercontinental title.
<v Speaker 1>Pierce said that she's not the only one asking for
<v Speaker 1>an opportunity. Maxine dupri Has asked for one, and she said, well,
<v Speaker 1>if Maxine has an opportunity, then I'm going to go
<v Speaker 1>straight through her to get her shot. And Pierce then
<v Speaker 1>booked Raquel against Maxine for the show Tonight Live. Morgan
<v Speaker 1>and Roxane Perez walked in and Live didn't seem terribly
<v Speaker 1>upset over. I thought maybe on television this week she
<v Speaker 1>would be upset at the two of them for not
<v Speaker 1>coming out to help her at Night of Champions, but
<v Speaker 1>she was basically her her usual self. She was more
<v Speaker 1>concerned over EO Sky now coming after her World Championship
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam, and the money that Dan Housen owes them,
<v Speaker 1>and she was more concerned about all of this than
<v Speaker 1>Raquel getting her Intercontinental title match. Rakel told her, look,
<v Speaker 1>don't worry about Dan Housen, don't worry about any of
<v Speaker 1>this stuff. I got your back with EO. So after
<v Speaker 1>the break, the Queen, not Charlotte Flair, the actual Queen
<v Speaker 1>EO Sky made her way out to the ring. She
<v Speaker 1>placed the crown upon her head, told us how and
<v Speaker 1>I quote, how super duper grateful she is to come
<v Speaker 1>back to the US as the Queen of the Ring.
<v Speaker 1>She says, she beat Liv Morgan and it's Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>She's gonna beat her again and she will be the
<v Speaker 1>women's World champion again. Live Morgan interrupted. She asked THEO
<v Speaker 1>if she's proud of herself, because the way that she's
<v Speaker 1>bragging about beating her on Saturday is if she did
<v Speaker 1>so fair and square. It's making her sick. The only
<v Speaker 1>reason that she won is because Liv got cursed by
<v Speaker 1>Dan Hausen. So at SummerSlam, she promises things are going
<v Speaker 1>to be different because now she doesn't respect THEO. Now
<v Speaker 1>EO has pissed her off, so she's gonna remind EO
<v Speaker 1>what happens when she gets on Live's bad side. She says,
<v Speaker 1>Finn Balor turned on by his own group. When's the
<v Speaker 1>last time you saw Stephanie Vaquier around here? Exactly? And
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley. She took everything from Ria and she hasn't
<v Speaker 1>been the same since. It's SummerSlam. She's going to absolutely
<v Speaker 1>destroy EO when she's going to become the greatest women's
<v Speaker 1>World Champion of all time. But in the meantime, EO's
<v Speaker 1>in for a whole lot of trouble and all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden Raquel and Roxanne. They appeared on the apron
<v Speaker 1>EO lowbridge Raquel out to the floor. She knocked Roxanne
<v Speaker 1>out to the floor with a punch. Liv got in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. She tried for oblivion and EO was able
<v Speaker 1>to avoid it. She dropped her with the German suplex
<v Speaker 1>lives on her knees. Now EO kicks her right in
<v Speaker 1>the back of the head. EO headed up top. She
<v Speaker 1>was going to go from the moonstaw, but Raquel cut
<v Speaker 1>her off and EO fell and she was hung upside
<v Speaker 1>down by her and her knee was basically draped and
<v Speaker 1>trapped over the top rope, and so they all started
<v Speaker 1>pounding away on her injured leg that I guess in
<v Speaker 1>storyline anyway, Live had injured it in their matching Night
<v Speaker 1>of Champions. She was limping when she first came out,
<v Speaker 1>and then they held her for Live to hit oblivion.
<v Speaker 1>This got very little reaction, and then Live applied her
<v Speaker 1>new finishing move, which is a half crab, and EO
<v Speaker 1>started tapping out. A referee got in the ring to agents,
<v Speaker 1>one of whom I noticed was Old Ken Done Tavari
<v Speaker 1>might have been the other I don't remember, but they
<v Speaker 1>got in the ring to get live off of her.
<v Speaker 1>Not much to say about. I mean, look, this was
<v Speaker 1>the first match that they made official and set up
<v Speaker 1>the other night for Summer Slam, So we know what
<v Speaker 1>the Women's World title match is going to be. If
<v Speaker 1>this is an indication of how they're going to be
<v Speaker 1>building this match, it's going to be a very long,
<v Speaker 1>very long four or five weeks. Not much to this, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>nothing wrong with it, but just you know, even the
<v Speaker 1>crowd wasn't terribly excited to see it. La Knight again,
<v Speaker 1>j Jimmy used so La Knight. He simply cannot quit
<v Speaker 1>this family every single week. If he's not talking about that,
<v Speaker 1>if he's not arguing with them, he's fighting them. If
<v Speaker 1>it's not Jimmy, it's j If it's not Jay, it's Jimmy.
<v Speaker 1>It's not Jacob, it's Solo. If it's not Solo, it's Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>It's never Roman. You ever noticed that, outside of that
<v Speaker 1>one time a few years ago, it's never Roman. Jay
<v Speaker 1>usso wandered out there before them. He didn't get a
<v Speaker 1>formal entrance, but he wandered out there before the match began.
<v Speaker 1>He got on headset to join Michael Cole and Corey Graves.
<v Speaker 1>Knight spotted him out there before the match began, so
<v Speaker 1>he went outside and he kind of walked over to
<v Speaker 1>j and they exchanged some words and he got back
<v Speaker 1>in the ring to start the match. Crowd was very
<v Speaker 1>quiet for most of this match, probably figuring that Jay
<v Speaker 1>was going to get involved at some point, Otherwise, why
<v Speaker 1>else was he out there, So they were just kind
<v Speaker 1>of waiting for it. Jimmy dump Knight with a Samoan drop.
<v Speaker 1>He went for the running hip attack. Night moved out
<v Speaker 1>of the way and then Knight went for a top
<v Speaker 1>rope elbow. Jimmy was able to avoid it. He hit
<v Speaker 1>a spear for a near fall. Jimmy went to the
<v Speaker 1>Knight cut him off, superplexed him, and Jimmy rolled out
<v Speaker 1>to the floor over by the announced desk, so Knight
<v Speaker 1>was over there. He made like he was gonna throw
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy into j but he stopped short. He just wanted
<v Speaker 1>to scare him, and he smiled and Jay he was
<v Speaker 1>flapping his gums on headset when Knight went back over
<v Speaker 1>and just wiped him out with a boot. I laughed
<v Speaker 1>at this, I'm like, good, thank you, La Knight. So
<v Speaker 1>back inside Knight hit the top row elbow. Jay got
<v Speaker 1>up on the apron and he was basically Knight dropped
<v Speaker 1>him with the right hand, but that was enough to
<v Speaker 1>distract him long enough for Jimmy to roll him up
<v Speaker 1>for the wind the always exciting distraction roll up, and
<v Speaker 1>that is how this match came to an end a
<v Speaker 1>WWE special. After the match, Night attacked Jimmy, Jay jumped
<v Speaker 1>in for the save. He double leg Night down to
<v Speaker 1>the mat. He started throwing bombs. Meanwhile, Solo Sokoa. He
<v Speaker 1>showed up I guess out of the crowd. He got
<v Speaker 1>up on the apron and he spiked Jimmy in the
<v Speaker 1>throat again. That's what he did last week. He did
<v Speaker 1>it again here. And this was great because Jay now
<v Speaker 1>looks up and he notices Solo on the apron, and
<v Speaker 1>Solo he's smiling, and he just looks at Jay and
<v Speaker 1>then the most condescending mocking way, he just goes ye
<v Speaker 1>and then he jumps down from the apron and he
<v Speaker 1>bails out into the crowd. That was great, and then
<v Speaker 1>Night he dropped Jay with the BFT as he caught
<v Speaker 1>sight of Solo in the crowd. The second week in
<v Speaker 1>a row, that Solo Socoa has provided some sort of
<v Speaker 1>assist to La Knight, the same La Knight who flat
<v Speaker 1>out turned him down and told him no in no
<v Speaker 1>uncertain terms on Friday, when Solo floated the possibility of
<v Speaker 1>the two of them basically being kind of like partners
<v Speaker 1>and looking out for each other. I said this in
<v Speaker 1>my review on Friday. Obviously the mft's were just they
<v Speaker 1>were awful. They were awful, and I'm glad that they're
<v Speaker 1>splitting up Solo Socoa though what they had him doing
<v Speaker 1>on Friday. Now that he's on his own, he's like
<v Speaker 1>a lone wolf. Now all his family has deserted him,
<v Speaker 1>He's got nobody else. I am more intrigued now to
<v Speaker 1>see where they go with Solo so Co and what
<v Speaker 1>they do with them than I was at any point
<v Speaker 1>during the MFT stuff. And so he comes out and
<v Speaker 1>he does it's just like the little things that he
<v Speaker 1>does because he's a very personable guy. We just didn't
<v Speaker 1>have a chance to see it a lot, because he's
<v Speaker 1>got to be very stoic, you know. He's, like I said,
<v Speaker 1>he's like a mob boss and we're supposed to take
<v Speaker 1>him seriously like a little mini Roman On Fridays, and
<v Speaker 1>that's just not that's not who he is. But when
<v Speaker 1>he's acting like a cornball and a goofball and he's
<v Speaker 1>out there doing stuff like this, that's where he's actually
<v Speaker 1>very entertaining. The stuff with him in La Night, I
<v Speaker 1>just can't imagine they end up with some sort of alliance.
<v Speaker 1>I'm intrigued to see where, if anywhere, this is actually Like,
<v Speaker 1>is it leading to something concrete? Is it leading to
<v Speaker 1>a one off match on television one week and that's it?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. Night is very confused. He's obviously very
<v Speaker 1>caught off guard by all this. He doesn't know what
<v Speaker 1>his ulterior motive is or what his true motivation is.
<v Speaker 1>But I, for the first time in a very long time,
<v Speaker 1>am genuinely curious to see where they are going to
<v Speaker 1>take Solo Socoa on these shows. I paid him a compliment.
<v Speaker 1>They replayed the Gunther and Nick all this angle that
<v Speaker 1>was shot backstage after Night of Champions on Saturday. If
<v Speaker 1>you missed it, Gunther just walked right up to him
<v Speaker 1>and just was yelling at him and cussing at him,
<v Speaker 1>and he was very upset about being screwed over yet again.
<v Speaker 1>Out of the world Championship and so they had to
<v Speaker 1>be separated. Very unprofessional of nick Aldis to engage with
<v Speaker 1>this man, and so we got the update from the announcer.
<v Speaker 1>As an official statement from WWE headquarters, Gunther and nick
<v Speaker 1>Aldis have both been sent home and while all this
<v Speaker 1>is at home, he will be under administrative leave for
<v Speaker 1>the foreseeable future, which means in the meantime, Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 1>will assume his responsibilities as the general manager of Smackdowns.
<v Speaker 1>So for the time being, he is now the GM
<v Speaker 1>for both Raw and SmackDown. Good luck with that. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if this means that at some point they're
<v Speaker 1>going to replace him and bring in somebody new, or
<v Speaker 1>it's just a temporary thing because they're going to do
<v Speaker 1>a match at SummerSlam now. I mean, look, the stage
<v Speaker 1>is set, right. We've been down this road before with
<v Speaker 1>all this, where they've teased people having issues with him.
<v Speaker 1>They did this with Randy Orton at one point, and
<v Speaker 1>it was like, oh, maybe he's going to wrestle, you know,
<v Speaker 1>maybe he's going to actually work a match. They never
<v Speaker 1>the extra step though, to place him on administrative leave,
<v Speaker 1>so it feels like we're probably going to get him
<v Speaker 1>in the ring for the first time, and it's going
<v Speaker 1>to be against Gunther at SummerSlam. And if you would
<v Speaker 1>have told me six months ago, if you would have
<v Speaker 1>told me five months ago, if you would have told
<v Speaker 1>me three months ago that the SummerSlam match that we
<v Speaker 1>would be looking at for Gunther at SummerSlam, who a
<v Speaker 1>year ago at SummerSlam was defending the World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 1>and then later in the year beat John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>then beat aj Styles, that he would be wrestling the
<v Speaker 1>general manager at SummerSlam. I would have called you crazy,
<v Speaker 1>But you know this is the this is the Paul
<v Speaker 1>lovec Era, and anything can happen. So here we are.
<v Speaker 1>I guess we know what Gunther is going to be
<v Speaker 1>doing at SummerSlam. Look, there are worse things he could
<v Speaker 1>be doing. I suppose it's the nicest thing I could
<v Speaker 1>say about it. Now, when he beats Nick All this
<v Speaker 1>what they do with him coming out of Summerslim. See,
<v Speaker 1>that's the question, because they built him up so much
<v Speaker 1>with the career killer stuff that it just feels like
<v Speaker 1>he's above feuding with those guys in the mid card,
<v Speaker 1>like a Carmelo Hayes or a Trick Williams or something
<v Speaker 1>like that, Like it just feels beneath him. At this point,
<v Speaker 1>he's kind of trapped in this weird spot now where
<v Speaker 1>anything other than him competing for a world championship, and
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't feel like there's really space for him right
<v Speaker 1>now at the top of that in that realm is
<v Speaker 1>going to feel like it's it's beneath him. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to feel like a letdown. I don't know. After a commercial,
<v Speaker 1>the usso's found Jacob Fatu in the back. They asked him,
<v Speaker 1>what the hell were you and he reminded them that
<v Speaker 1>I don't take orders from either of you, especially Jay's
<v Speaker 1>punk ass, but a message from the OTC. He's sending
<v Speaker 1>Jacob to SmackDown to take care of the solo Socoa problem.
<v Speaker 1>Jay told him, then, I'll see you there. Because Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>ain now is the WWE champion and he ain't got
<v Speaker 1>no challenger. I'm like, oh my god, good grief. We
<v Speaker 1>can't get it. We can't get away from this. We
<v Speaker 1>can't get away from this. We're still trying to make
<v Speaker 1>this a thing. We got a Lyra Valkyria promo promo video,
<v Speaker 1>specifically where she wondered why and I don't think she
<v Speaker 1>was wearing any makeup. She looked a little bit different
<v Speaker 1>where she wondered why everyone was on her back over
<v Speaker 1>what happened in London when she beat the crap out
<v Speaker 1>of Bailey. She says she spent the last year being
<v Speaker 1>the better person. She's not proud of what happened, but
<v Speaker 1>she's not losing any sleep over it either. She's carried
<v Speaker 1>the load and sacrifice for her success, or sacrificed her
<v Speaker 1>success over and over and over again because she wanted
<v Speaker 1>to take Bailey with her. Everyone already knows that she
<v Speaker 1>could do it by herself. She was the first ever
<v Speaker 1>win Iman's Intercontinental Champion. Now there's this huge gap between
<v Speaker 1>who she is and who she could be. She never
<v Speaker 1>wanted to hurt Bailey, but last week it felt so
<v Speaker 1>good to close that gap just a little. She's an
<v Speaker 1>angry bird. We're going to see how the Lyra Valkyria
<v Speaker 1>heel turn goes. Does she have it in her? Does
<v Speaker 1>she have a good heel run in her? More importantly,
<v Speaker 1>do they give her the opportunity to show that she
<v Speaker 1>can have a good heel run? I think that's the
<v Speaker 1>bigger question. How long do they go before this fizzles out,
<v Speaker 1>I hope not. I hope it works out. I think
<v Speaker 1>Lyra's great. In the back Live, Maxine Dupree walked by
<v Speaker 1>Chad Gable, who was prepping for his match later tonight,
<v Speaker 1>but then she stopped. She went back to go talk
<v Speaker 1>to Gable and say I met everything I said last week.
<v Speaker 1>But she went to go apologize and Gable cut her
<v Speaker 1>off and he told her, look, I want you to
<v Speaker 1>focus on what's in front of you right now, which
<v Speaker 1>is your match, and she appreciated that. So it was
<v Speaker 1>Maxine Duprie against Raquel Rodriguez. Bird is the word. How
<v Speaker 1>many of you saw the movie? And see, let's see
<v Speaker 1>how old some of you are. How many of you
<v Speaker 1>saw the movie? Follow that bird if you know what
<v Speaker 1>that is. It was Maxine dupre against Raquel Rodriguez. The
<v Speaker 1>crowd took a vow of silence for this match. Rodriguez
<v Speaker 1>stretched Dupree in a torture rack Maxine that was able
<v Speaker 1>to escape into a sunset flip attempt that was not successful,
<v Speaker 1>and Raquel destroyed her with a clothesline. Maxine got a
<v Speaker 1>near fall after a leg drop. She tried for a
<v Speaker 1>fisherman's soup plex. Raquel, though, got out of that, finished
<v Speaker 1>this off mercifully with a tehanabaum. So Raquel is going
<v Speaker 1>to be getting that next intercontinental title shot over Maxine,
<v Speaker 1>who had no business getting one in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>I don't give a shit if she is a former
<v Speaker 1>intercontinental champion. She had that run and then she vanished,
<v Speaker 1>and so she had no business being around any championships
<v Speaker 1>and now she will not be Yeah. OK, a lot
<v Speaker 1>of you do know follow that bird. Hmm. It's an oldie,
<v Speaker 1>but a goodie. God, I haven't seen that. I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to say how long it's been. It's been a
<v Speaker 1>while since I've seen that. Backstage, Dan Housen found his
<v Speaker 1>science lab trashed and his Knicks gift was missing, as
<v Speaker 1>will be Mitchell Robinson from The Knicks very soon. He'll
<v Speaker 1>be missing. Liv Morgan showed up and told him that
<v Speaker 1>this is what you get, and he asked her what
<v Speaker 1>did I do to you? And she said, you electrocuted JD.
<v Speaker 1>They stole or he stole one hundred thousand dollars from
<v Speaker 1>the judgment day and worst of all, he cursed her
<v Speaker 1>and she lost the Queen of the Ring. So he
<v Speaker 1>needs to find a way to make this right or
<v Speaker 1>the judgment Day is going to keep making his life hell.
<v Speaker 1>And that led into the best match of the night,
<v Speaker 1>Chad Gable one on one with j D mcdonoughh Now
<v Speaker 1>you look at the talent in this match. Of course,
<v Speaker 1>these two guys are capable of going out there and
<v Speaker 1>having a kick ass match, but again, they're slotted at
<v Speaker 1>a certain level, and it's tough to get the fans
<v Speaker 1>invested in what guys at that level are doing sometimes
<v Speaker 1>because not everybody is terribly over Frankly on these shows.
<v Speaker 1>Chad Gable obviously had great success doing the Americano stuff
<v Speaker 1>in Triple A. He was this great heel and so
<v Speaker 1>now they turned in Babyface. He's going around doing the
<v Speaker 1>twelve steps, apologizing to everybody. It doesn't help. They've given
<v Speaker 1>him this new music that he comes out to. They
<v Speaker 1>gave him the clap he's coming out. He's doing this
<v Speaker 1>every week. God, he's trying so hard to get the crowd.
<v Speaker 1>It's like it's like when Vince would tell people, like
<v Speaker 1>wrestlers would talk about how Vince would go to them
<v Speaker 1>and go, look, when you go out there, you gotta
<v Speaker 1>smile more. You're not smiling enough. Just go out there
<v Speaker 1>and smile, damn it. And I could just picture like
<v Speaker 1>Vince isn't there anymore, thank God, but like Triple H
<v Speaker 1>or somebody who's in the back telling him, look, when
<v Speaker 1>you go out there, just just keep clapping, man, just
<v Speaker 1>keep putting your hands together in the crowd. They'll come along.
<v Speaker 1>Like they went to a commercial break and Gable is
<v Speaker 1>he's doing the clap and I mean, god, it bless
<v Speaker 1>his heart, like he's trying. It's not working. It's not working.
<v Speaker 1>And it doesn't help that during the commerce and thankfully
<v Speaker 1>it was during the commercial break, what it didn't err
<v Speaker 1>on the actual show. But it doesn't help that you
<v Speaker 1>got Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary basically poking
<v Speaker 1>fun at the song, calling it dad Rock. Chad Gables
<v Speaker 1>out there to his dad rock. Oh yeah, that's good,
<v Speaker 1>that's real cool. That'll get him over. Sometimes I think
<v Speaker 1>like the worst thing that WWE could do is actually
<v Speaker 1>actively try to push somebody like it should just happen organically.
<v Speaker 1>They if they get behind you and they really don't
<v Speaker 1>get they don't get you well enough, and they think that, well,
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get him over. That's like the kiss of
<v Speaker 1>death because half the time, I swear to God, these
<v Speaker 1>people have no fucking idea what they're doing. Uh McDonough. McDonough.
<v Speaker 1>When he walked out, Dom was with him. Dom was
<v Speaker 1>wearing the New York Knicks jersey that the team apparently
<v Speaker 1>gifted to Dan Housen. So it wasn't that thing that
<v Speaker 1>gift I mentioned earlier. From behind, it looked like a poster,
<v Speaker 1>but apparently I guess it was a framed Nick jersey
<v Speaker 1>and that's what they stole, and so Dom was wearing
<v Speaker 1>the jersey. McDonough he dropped Gable down knee first onto
<v Speaker 1>the ring steps outside, which led to him getting the
<v Speaker 1>heat on Gable for a while working over the knee.
<v Speaker 1>During a break in the match, the crowd finally woke
<v Speaker 1>up and they broke out into a light let's go
<v Speaker 1>Gable chant, although it died out pretty quickly. There was
<v Speaker 1>a standing Spanish fly by McDonough that got him a
<v Speaker 1>near fall, power bomb with a stack by JD only
<v Speaker 1>for a two, and then there was a brain buster
<v Speaker 1>and again Gable kicks as he's throwing all these moves
<v Speaker 1>at this guy and nothing can keep Chad Gable down,
<v Speaker 1>and they were having a really physical match here. Like
<v Speaker 1>it was at this point that I realized, like, all right,
<v Speaker 1>these guys, they're working their asses off, but the crowd
<v Speaker 1>just wasn't reacting to anything until Gable bealed him overhead.
<v Speaker 1>He gave him an overhead throw into the turnbuckles. Gable
<v Speaker 1>went for a moon salt and clearly overshot it. I
<v Speaker 1>mean the spot was that on the way down, McDonough
<v Speaker 1>would put his boot up and so as Gable comes
<v Speaker 1>down he would grab the boot. But had he hit
<v Speaker 1>that moon salt, he would have been off target. But
<v Speaker 1>he grabbed the boot, he trapped him in an ankle lock.
<v Speaker 1>He was able to escape the hole though. Dom got
<v Speaker 1>up on the apron to distract Gable and McDonough hit
<v Speaker 1>an avalanche Spanish fly with a very scary landing. It
<v Speaker 1>looked like McDonough came down on top of Gable with
<v Speaker 1>all of his weight on it, like his head and
<v Speaker 1>his left shoulder on the landing. Dan Hausen showed up
<v Speaker 1>at ringside over by the timekeeper's area, and he got
<v Speaker 1>a briefcase with him and he's waving at them. So
<v Speaker 1>Dom chase dan Housen through the crowd and out of
<v Speaker 1>the arena. JD is like, where are you going? And
<v Speaker 1>Gable snuck up from behind. He went for the chaos
<v Speaker 1>theory and he only got halfway through it. McDonough rolled through,
<v Speaker 1>but then Gable rolled back into an ankle lock and
<v Speaker 1>he grapedvined the leg instant tap out from JD McDonough
<v Speaker 1>to give Chad Gable the wind. Good for them, man,
<v Speaker 1>I mean they got the crowd into it by the end,
<v Speaker 1>and they had a good match, and I thought they
<v Speaker 1>worked their asses off here might not have been the
<v Speaker 1>most exciting thing for you know, the first half. It's tough,
<v Speaker 1>you know, when you're out there doing this to just
<v Speaker 1>silence you know what I mean, Like because you're watching
<v Speaker 1>on TV and you see the first five, six, seven
<v Speaker 1>rows and you can hear and even if you think like, man,
<v Speaker 1>these guys are really you know, they're really putting it
<v Speaker 1>all out there. When you see how just apathetic the
<v Speaker 1>crowd is to everything, it takes you out of it
<v Speaker 1>and you hope that by the end of it they
<v Speaker 1>could really get them. You know, they can catch them
<v Speaker 1>and they can get them invested in what they're doing
<v Speaker 1>and win them over. And I feel like they did
<v Speaker 1>by the end of it. After the match, Dom and
<v Speaker 1>McDonough they wandered over to the briefcase that dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>had left behind and they opened it. It was filled with cash,
<v Speaker 1>but then it also there was powder that exploded. I
<v Speaker 1>hope it wasn't anthrax, and it just exploded into their
<v Speaker 1>faces and blinded them, which allowed dan Housen to return.
<v Speaker 1>And he didn't grab the cash, That's what I would
<v Speaker 1>have grabbed. He grabbed the Knicks jersey. The jersey was
<v Speaker 1>more important to him than the briefcase full of cash,
<v Speaker 1>and he took the jersey into the ring. He held
<v Speaker 1>it up like a trophy, big pop a lot of
<v Speaker 1>Knicks fans, I guess in Atlantic City. He went to
<v Speaker 1>go leave with it. He made it all the way
<v Speaker 1>to the stage, but he had his back turned and
<v Speaker 1>Raquel Rodriguez comes out and ambushes him from behind, steals
<v Speaker 1>the jersey back, gives it to Dom, who wipes the
<v Speaker 1>powder from his eyes with the jersey. They're paying this
<v Speaker 1>angle off at Madison Square Garden. That's what they're doing.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna get more segments like this for a few
<v Speaker 1>more weeks. Whatever this is building to. My guess is
<v Speaker 1>it's got to involve one of the knicks, and so
<v Speaker 1>if you're gonna the biggest possible get for them would
<v Speaker 1>be Jalen Brunson. My guess would be this is all
<v Speaker 1>building to a Jalen Brunson appearance of Madison Square Garden,
<v Speaker 1>and they're gonna do some short a match, but they're
<v Speaker 1>gonna do some sort of angle. He'll be involved, and
<v Speaker 1>of course at MSG he's like a god there now,
<v Speaker 1>like it's gonna get this unbelievable reaction. If they can
<v Speaker 1>get Jalen Brunson for an angle on that show or
<v Speaker 1>any kind of appearance like forget about it, that would
<v Speaker 1>be huge. So that would be my guess. That's what
<v Speaker 1>this is all building to. Backstage, Austin Theory walked up
<v Speaker 1>to Maxine Dupree, who was sitting on one of the
<v Speaker 1>production cases with an ice pack on her neck, and
<v Speaker 1>he asked her, why did you say what you said
<v Speaker 1>in the back earlier to Chad Gable and she said
<v Speaker 1>it's complicated. She's like a walking Facebook status. Austin says, well,
<v Speaker 1>this is simple, but if you want to go back
<v Speaker 1>down that road, maybe this won't work out, and he
<v Speaker 1>left Tozawa and Otis then appear Tozaua asked are you okay?
<v Speaker 1>And she says, I don't know before leaving. I tell
<v Speaker 1>you what, they've done a pretty poor job of establishing
<v Speaker 1>that there's any sort of real relationship between these two
<v Speaker 1>outside of some little hints here and there. There have
<v Speaker 1>been a couple of segments like that one time where
<v Speaker 1>she was in the passenger seat of the Vision SUV,
<v Speaker 1>like they've dropped little hints of it, but they've kind
<v Speaker 1>of danced around it, and they've never really come right
<v Speaker 1>out and said it or talked about it. So I
<v Speaker 1>don't know how am I supposed to feel about this?
<v Speaker 1>Am I supposed to be happy? Am I supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be sad? I'm kind of indifferent to the whole thing.
<v Speaker 1>To be honest with you, I don't really give a
<v Speaker 1>shit either way. And to close the show, we had
<v Speaker 1>the world heavyweight champion, a real star has appeared for
<v Speaker 1>the first time since the opening segment, Roman Reigns, who
<v Speaker 1>had Jacob fought to with him. Roman Reigns came out
<v Speaker 1>to or a farm, as he does every time he
<v Speaker 1>appears on this show, and he said it Atlantic Cite
<v Speaker 1>acknowledge me, and then we heard burn it down and
<v Speaker 1>outcomes seth Rawlins and Rollins is wearing his long black
<v Speaker 1>trench coat. Fans are singing his song. He gets into
<v Speaker 1>the ring, they come face to face, chance of OTC breakout.
<v Speaker 1>Rollins tells him that's perfect timing. Yes, fo, that is
<v Speaker 1>what Rolins told him. He gets in the ring and
<v Speaker 1>he goes, I am the learning tree. I would have popped.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know about you, but I would have popped
<v Speaker 1>if he would have said that. And then you could
<v Speaker 1>just end the show and people are left wondering what
<v Speaker 1>does it all mean? Now? Rollins says, hello, my brother
<v Speaker 1>said fourteen years. You and I have been tied together
<v Speaker 1>from the moment all the way back to the formation
<v Speaker 1>of the shield. Call it fate, destiny, whatever you want,
<v Speaker 1>but it feels very fitting that they're here in this
<v Speaker 1>moment and you are in possession of a title that
<v Speaker 1>belongs to me, and yes, my brother, it is time
<v Speaker 1>to collect. Roman said collect. You must be confused. You're
<v Speaker 1>the back of the line. You haven't done anything of
<v Speaker 1>late to earn a shot of the tribal chief. Apparently,
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is like brock Lesner, and he doesn't watch
<v Speaker 1>the product. He didn't see that cage match on Saturday.
<v Speaker 1>Seth said that he could play that game with everybody
<v Speaker 1>else in that locker room, but you can't play that
<v Speaker 1>with me. Says when it comes to Roman, he is
<v Speaker 1>always at the front of the line. For everything that
<v Speaker 1>Roman has become, he owns him. He owns his ass
<v Speaker 1>in this ring, and he has for the last fourteen years,
<v Speaker 1>said WrestleMania forty one triple Threat match, he pinned him
<v Speaker 1>in the center of the ring and took his wise man.
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania of forty he sacrificed himself so that Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 1>could end his reign of terror, speaking of which for
<v Speaker 1>four years, Roman was unstoppable. He beat everybody except for
<v Speaker 1>one person, which is true. I think in that entire
<v Speaker 1>time that Roman was the champion, correct me if I'm wrong.
<v Speaker 1>I believe they had a match at the Royal Rumble
<v Speaker 1>one year. Was it twenty twenty two? I want to
<v Speaker 1>say it was twenty twenty two, and I think Seth
<v Speaker 1>won that match. I think he won by d Q
<v Speaker 1>or count out or something like that. He said he
<v Speaker 1>could walk it back to the greatest cash in in
<v Speaker 1>the history of WrestleMania, where he took his main event,
<v Speaker 1>and Roman couldn't do a damn thing about it. He
<v Speaker 1>has owned Roman since the day he put a steel
<v Speaker 1>chair in his back and ended the shield. He's not
<v Speaker 1>here to ask him for anything. As a matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>He's here to give him something something nobody else in
<v Speaker 1>the world can give him because everything that he says
<v Speaker 1>he is and these people believe he is talking about.
<v Speaker 1>Roman now said he is that great. He's won every
<v Speaker 1>championship there is to win. Romans WrestleMania main event record
<v Speaker 1>will never ever ever be topped, which is probably true.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, there is one thing in his career
<v Speaker 1>that Roman has not been able to do, beat Seth Rolins,
<v Speaker 1>which Nerd glasses on he did. It was a random
<v Speaker 1>TV match, but technically he did beat him that one time.
<v Speaker 1>But when it counts in the most important moments, he
<v Speaker 1>has not been able to beat Seth Robins. He said
<v Speaker 1>he's here to give Roman that chance. Seth's going to
<v Speaker 1>be real with all of us right now, He's going
<v Speaker 1>to be real with Roman. This may be Roman's last
<v Speaker 1>chance to close that loop. The two of them, they
<v Speaker 1>came into this company together. They knocked down the door,
<v Speaker 1>they kicked the old generation to the curb. They made
<v Speaker 1>this place to their own. They created the greatest generation
<v Speaker 1>in the history of this industry. They did that together.
<v Speaker 1>But man, they are much closer to the end than
<v Speaker 1>they are to the beginning. And there is a new
<v Speaker 1>generation of young men and women ready to do the
<v Speaker 1>same thing. To them, this may be their last chance
<v Speaker 1>to do this dance. So he says, you know what
<v Speaker 1>does Roman want his legacy to be? He's a surefire
<v Speaker 1>Hall of Famer, right, all of these accomplishments that he
<v Speaker 1>has to his name. But if he doesn't accept this challenge,
<v Speaker 1>he will never be able to escape the ghost of
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rawlins. So what do you say, brother, For old
<v Speaker 1>time's sake, Roman said, It's been a long time since
<v Speaker 1>he's heard any truth come out of Seth's mouth, little brother,
<v Speaker 1>But he's right. He doesn't want to beat him. He
<v Speaker 1>needs to beat him. He needs his entire family to
<v Speaker 1>witness him beating Seth. And it's SummerSlam. That's exactly what
<v Speaker 1>he's going to do. He accepts, Brother should have said
<v Speaker 1>it that way too, Brother, and he dropped the mic,
<v Speaker 1>held up the World Championship as Roman was in the
<v Speaker 1>aisleway with Jacob behind him. They're leaving Romans looking back
<v Speaker 1>at the ring talking to the camera and he said, SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>We closed the door on the shield forever. First of all,
<v Speaker 1>the promo from Seth Rollins was very good Rollins. We
<v Speaker 1>saw Rollins when he was a heel, the clown right
<v Speaker 1>coming out in a weird outfit every week, cackling like
<v Speaker 1>a fucking hyena. Those promos were just insufferable and they
<v Speaker 1>would always start out the same way every single week.
<v Speaker 1>I'm a revolutionary, I'm a visionary, you know this and that,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, all right, shut the fuck up. When
<v Speaker 1>he's doing those like whiny clown promos. It's he's insufferable
<v Speaker 1>when he's out there though, and he's more serious. And
<v Speaker 1>we saw this when he was feuding with Cmpunk. That's
<v Speaker 1>Rollin's at his best on the mic, and that's what
<v Speaker 1>he got here. We got a very serious, very straightforward promo.
<v Speaker 1>It's a lot of history and a lot of bad
<v Speaker 1>blood between these two men. That's how it was played.
<v Speaker 1>He drew on all of that history. He made some
<v Speaker 1>very valid points about how Roman has not been able
<v Speaker 1>to take care of him when it comes to one
<v Speaker 1>on one In the ring when it matters. Like I
<v Speaker 1>said at the beginning, he's that itch that Roman cannot scratch.
<v Speaker 1>He's that ghost that Roman chases but just can't catch.
<v Speaker 1>And so we don't know how many more opportunities these
<v Speaker 1>two were going to get to get in the ring
<v Speaker 1>and go one on one. This may be the last
<v Speaker 1>time that Roman can try to finally topple Seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 1>But the bigger point he made is that he never
<v Speaker 1>lost the world championship. That should have been top of
<v Speaker 1>mind when he first came back, but instead they had
<v Speaker 1>him with a vision because he wanted to get revenge. Well,
<v Speaker 1>he got his revenge. He won the feud, he beat
<v Speaker 1>bron Breaker. Logically, the next thing for him to do
<v Speaker 1>would be to claim the championship that he never lost.
<v Speaker 1>All of that makes sense, So I thought he knocked
<v Speaker 1>it out of the park. I thought with the promo, Roman,
<v Speaker 1>of course Roman was Roman. Roman didn't have as much material,
<v Speaker 1>you know, to work with. Seth did most of the talking.
<v Speaker 1>All Roman had to do was basically stand there and
<v Speaker 1>say acknowledge me, and then at the end of it
<v Speaker 1>say I accept and that's it. And the people chant
<v Speaker 1>OTC and everybody goes home. But I thought Seth did
<v Speaker 1>a great job here. I just and again, a lot
<v Speaker 1>of history to draw from with these two. I just
<v Speaker 1>wish that we were getting a different match. I do
<v Speaker 1>wish we were getting Roman and Oba, and maybe that
<v Speaker 1>could be the plan for WrestleMania next year. WrestleMania is
<v Speaker 1>a long way away. A lot can change. Look at
<v Speaker 1>all the WrestleMania plans and rumors we had coming into
<v Speaker 1>this year. It's going to change twenty five times between
<v Speaker 1>now and then. I don't know. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be at Saudi Mania, hopefully Roman and Oba,
<v Speaker 1>since we're not getting it at Summer Slim, which I
<v Speaker 1>was excited to see. I'm less excited about Roman and
<v Speaker 1>Seth by comparison. But you know, again, it'll be a
<v Speaker 1>fine match. It just feels to me like it's someone
<v Speaker 1>for Roman to go in there and beat. I don't
<v Speaker 1>feel that, oh, Seth Rollins is going to beat Roman.
<v Speaker 1>Rings if it was Roman and Oba, Oba would have
<v Speaker 1>it a chance at least to beat Roman and become
<v Speaker 1>the champion. I don't feel like that there's even a
<v Speaker 1>real possibility of that here. You know, it's someone for
<v Speaker 1>Roman to go in there and beat He could say
<v Speaker 1>he finally, you know, he got this man off his
<v Speaker 1>back once and for all and moves on to whatever
<v Speaker 1>the next challenge is going to be. We don't even
<v Speaker 1>know if Roman is going to be around much after summer, Slim,
<v Speaker 1>you know, originally he said, you got me for the summer.
<v Speaker 1>Technically the summer goes until like the third week in September.
<v Speaker 1>We may have Roman until you know, Wressell Palooza, assuming
<v Speaker 1>we get another wrestle Poloza, and then after that, who
<v Speaker 1>the hell knows, it goes dark for a few months.
<v Speaker 1>I just wish that if we were going to do this,
<v Speaker 1>they went about it a different way. You know, they
<v Speaker 1>did it at the expense of the King of the Ring.
<v Speaker 1>They made the King of the Ring feel pretty pointless
<v Speaker 1>this year. I don't like that. I don't like the
<v Speaker 1>path that they chose to get here. I think they
<v Speaker 1>made things unnecessarily complicated and it didn't need to be.
<v Speaker 1>And this is where we are now. We're getting the
<v Speaker 1>matches that I think a lot of us would have
<v Speaker 1>expected that we would be getting. Brock Lesner, Obafemi, Helen
<v Speaker 1>the cell hell of a way to blow off what
<v Speaker 1>has been a fun few to me. If you look
<v Speaker 1>at their first two matches, the second match even better
<v Speaker 1>than the first, a little bit longer, two minutes longer.
<v Speaker 1>I certainly hope we don't get a six minute Hell
<v Speaker 1>and a Cell match. You know, you're putting these two
<v Speaker 1>guys in the cell. You got to give them some time.
<v Speaker 1>So my hope and expectation is that it's summer slim,
<v Speaker 1>and especially if this were to end up being Brock's
<v Speaker 1>final match, you know, they go all out and they
<v Speaker 1>give them the time they need to go out there
<v Speaker 1>and put together what would be deserving of a blowoff match,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I mean, we just saw Blood of the
<v Speaker 1>Steel Cage match with Breaker and Rollins on Saturday. I
<v Speaker 1>would expect to see something like that in Hell and
<v Speaker 1>a Cell match between these two, Like, that's the kind
<v Speaker 1>of match, if you're going to do it, that's the
<v Speaker 1>kind of match I'm hoping to see out of them.
<v Speaker 1>And then Oba can vanquish him once and for all
<v Speaker 1>and move on. And I don't know coming out of
<v Speaker 1>that what the next step would be for Oba. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>the maybe Oba's like, okay, I'm ready, I'm ready for
<v Speaker 1>my title match. And if they got Wressell Paluza coming
<v Speaker 1>back in September. And remember Mark Shapiro last year said
<v Speaker 1>he wants to make this a big event, like a
<v Speaker 1>big tent pole event for them every single year. Who
<v Speaker 1>the fuck? No, who's to say they don't do Roman
<v Speaker 1>and Oba Wressell Palooza and that is Roman's last match
<v Speaker 1>for a while, and he drops the championship to him, right.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it sounds kind of crazy coming off a
<v Speaker 1>big show like Summer Slam, not to do with there,
<v Speaker 1>But who's to say if they really want to build
<v Speaker 1>Wressell Palooza up, is this big deal? Maybe that's what
<v Speaker 1>we're looking at. But they took some big steps to
<v Speaker 1>shake things up going into Summer Slim. Here we got
<v Speaker 1>two big matches. We'll see if we get more announced
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown this week. In terms of what they're doing
<v Speaker 1>with the other championship, I said earlier, that's a little
<v Speaker 1>less predictable, and that's good. That's good. It'll get people
<v Speaker 1>talking right about the different paths that they can take. See,
<v Speaker 1>I'm punk is going to be coming back soon. Where
<v Speaker 1>does he fit into that picture? I find myself a
<v Speaker 1>little more excited actually about the SmackDown title scene of
<v Speaker 1>what they're going to do with that at Summer Slim.
<v Speaker 1>So we'll see. But that was raw from Atlantic City
<v Speaker 1>a little bit earlier than usual tonight because SmackDown is
<v Speaker 1>a taped show tape show on Friday. Hey, we hit
<v Speaker 1>the bonus goll. That's great to say. That guarantees at
<v Speaker 1>least one round to be the booker. Where are we
<v Speaker 1>on the like skull? Oh, we're close, We're close. The
<v Speaker 1>like skull was six hundred See the wheel said six
<v Speaker 1>hundred word five to eighty six. We may be getting
<v Speaker 1>double B the booker tonight. We might just beginning double
<v Speaker 1>be the booker. Well, you guys work on that, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to work on these here. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>go through your messages. This week's episode is sponsored by Wicks.

<v Speaker 1>Just go to wix dot com slash harmony. That's wis
<v Speaker 1>dot com slash harmony death site says, looking back, they
<v Speaker 1>should have had John Cena retire Goldberg, La Night retire
<v Speaker 1>John Cena and c I'm Punk retire aj Styles because
<v Speaker 1>I'm starting to think having Gun to retire them was
<v Speaker 1>a mistake. You think, Aaron, They pretty much made King
<v Speaker 1>of the Ring pointless with Oba saying he's foregoing his
<v Speaker 1>title match. It's like WWE booked themselves in a corner
<v Speaker 1>and had to find a way out. That's exactly what
<v Speaker 1>they did, and it didn't have to be that way.
<v Speaker 1>They overcomplicated it for no reason. Death Side says, what
<v Speaker 1>if they do Brock and Oba Saturday Night's Made Event
<v Speaker 1>and get this feud out of the way so that
<v Speaker 1>Oba can move on to bigger and better things. This
<v Speaker 1>is not a few that they want to get out
<v Speaker 1>of the way. This is going to be a big
<v Speaker 1>attraction that will sell tickets for them on a stadium
<v Speaker 1>show that is being spread out over two nights and
<v Speaker 1>could use the boost in ticket sales. That's number one.
<v Speaker 1>Number two, Brock ain't working Saturday Nights Made Event. That's
<v Speaker 1>why he says that way they could do Brock and
<v Speaker 1>Gunther at Summer Slinking Day. Yeah, that's not happening. That
<v Speaker 1>was never happening. Now we know it's not happening, but
<v Speaker 1>that was never happening. Death Side says, but then again,
<v Speaker 1>WWE is allergic to common sense. Feels like it the
<v Speaker 1>Gary Spear with a ten spot. The internet would have
<v Speaker 1>been calling it the worst creative ever. If Osprey gave
<v Speaker 1>up his title shots to wrestle someone he's already beaten,
<v Speaker 1>but yippie. Instead we get another finisher spam match, but
<v Speaker 1>with a cage. Well it might be finisher spam, but
<v Speaker 1>I will say the matches they've had so far have
<v Speaker 1>been pretty exciting. I don't mind them doing one more match,
<v Speaker 1>blowing it off in the cell. I think it'll be
<v Speaker 1>really good. It's not again how we arrived at this point,
<v Speaker 1>at what they did with the title shot and all that,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not a fan of that. Death Side says. If
<v Speaker 1>they're going to continue this depressing storyline with Johnny Gargano,
<v Speaker 1>can they at least have him do those Tim White skits.
<v Speaker 1>This is not two thousand and six anymore. It was
<v Speaker 1>pretty tasteless and tacky even twenty years ago, although I
<v Speaker 1>laughed my ass off at them, but you wouldn't be
<v Speaker 1>able to get away with that. Today. TV with a
<v Speaker 1>ten says, I don't know what it is about live,
<v Speaker 1>but ever since she came back from her injury earlier
<v Speaker 1>this year, she has had go away heat with me.
<v Speaker 1>She's annoying, keep up the good work. What was she
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be a heel? Every time she comes out
<v Speaker 1>and she says she's the greatest women's champion of all time,
<v Speaker 1>and she just you know, drags it out as long
<v Speaker 1>as she possibly can, like nails on a chalkboard. It's
<v Speaker 1>because she's a heel. That means she's doing her job.
<v Speaker 1>Death Site says, I have a horror video game recommendation
<v Speaker 1>for everyone. It's called Psycho I thought that said Psychodad.
<v Speaker 1>Oh married with Children reference. I would totally play Psycho Dad.
<v Speaker 1>If they made a Psycho Dad game, Oh, I would definitely.
<v Speaker 1>I would play the shit out of that. Psycho Dead.
<v Speaker 1>The demo is out now. It's basically what happens when
<v Speaker 1>you mix Lucy from Elfin Liede and the Necromorphs from
<v Speaker 1>Dead Space. I've played Dead Space. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>Elfinlide is Psycho Dead though, I may have to check
<v Speaker 1>that out. Is it a mobile game only or is
<v Speaker 1>it a Steam game? Nico Samuel says, a solemn monster.
<v Speaker 1>What the fuck? I just woke up a few minutes
<v Speaker 1>ago and I see Oba gave up his King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring title opportunity to face Brock. I'm shocked, but
<v Speaker 1>I am intrigued. And how long does Sammy hold the
<v Speaker 1>WWE title? In my humble opinion and wishful thinking, he
<v Speaker 1>holds it until October. I mean, the way the WWE
<v Speaker 1>does things, he'll be lucky to make it out of
<v Speaker 1>the week with the championship. He'll be lucky to make
<v Speaker 1>it out of tonight with the championship, or next week
<v Speaker 1>at the latest. So I don't know. I mean, if
<v Speaker 1>he if he doesn't lose it, you know, like in
<v Speaker 1>the next couple of weeks or something stupid like that,
<v Speaker 1>at least summer slim. I mean, why not just keep
<v Speaker 1>it on him, let him run with it until Summerslim.
<v Speaker 1>At least, there's no need to take it from him
<v Speaker 1>before then. GMB says meh Oba Roman better than shield
<v Speaker 1>Lore in twenty twenty six. Look, I don't disagree with
<v Speaker 1>you that we're still doing Roman and Seth fucking fourteen
<v Speaker 1>years later. It's a great promo tonight. But you're not wrong.
<v Speaker 1>We're still doing Roman reigns and seth rollins in twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty six, Like, what the fuck are we doing here?
<v Speaker 1>Carlos Galvan get ready for the shield chair, Nico says solo.
<v Speaker 1>Whenever Naomi comes back, would you want to see her
<v Speaker 1>as a face or a heel? Gotta be a heel.
<v Speaker 1>She was such a great heel that she was finally
<v Speaker 1>getting into, like she finally found her voice with that character,
<v Speaker 1>that heel persona, and then she had to go away.
<v Speaker 1>I hope she can pick back up with him when
<v Speaker 1>she comes back. Barry MK says, SummerSlam is two nights.
<v Speaker 1>Why can't Oba have the title match on one night
<v Speaker 1>and the cell match on the other. This is so stupid.
<v Speaker 1>Lost but found says King of the Ring lasted two
<v Speaker 1>years for a title shot. Lol a record? Yeah, in
<v Speaker 1>peace to the King of the Ring stipulation Sidrow with
<v Speaker 1>a five gave the rest of my pastry to pigeons, says,
<v Speaker 1>I guess I filled two birds with one scone. You suck.
<v Speaker 1>An adjective for metal is metallic, but not so for iron,
<v Speaker 1>which is ironic. It's true, never really thought about that.
<v Speaker 1>But he's not wrong. Misfit Wrestling Podcast with A ten
<v Speaker 1>not putting any spoilers here, but I read the spoilers
<v Speaker 1>and it's not looking good for Samby's name. Well, there
<v Speaker 1>you go. I'm not surprised. I'm gonna take this fucking
<v Speaker 1>belt from him, aren't they? Very? Very very imminently. I
<v Speaker 1>feel like, remember Christian, Remember when Christian won the World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight Championship from Alberto del Dipshit in that ladder match,
<v Speaker 1>and then literally that not even that Friday. I mean
<v Speaker 1>they taped SmackDown at that time, so it would have
<v Speaker 1>been forty eight hours later. At the SmackDown taping he
<v Speaker 1>lost it to Randy Orton and the rage and fury
<v Speaker 1>coming out of that. At least they went on to
<v Speaker 1>have an entertaining feud. But man, there were a lot
<v Speaker 1>of pissed off people when that happened. Are they gonna
<v Speaker 1>Christian sam He's ain? Is that what they're gonna do?
<v Speaker 1>Sidru police stopped me and said papers, I said scissors,
<v Speaker 1>I win, and I left. I think he wants a rematch.
<v Speaker 1>He's been chasing me for forty five minutes. Glad you
<v Speaker 1>liked my new beat. I like all your beats. He's
<v Speaker 1>very talented. You gotta share your face a little more often.
<v Speaker 1>My friend Philly Harden for the four ninety nine says,
<v Speaker 1>have you read or heard of the Titan Book Trilogy
<v Speaker 1>covers nineteen ninety five to ninety eight? WWF listened on audible,
<v Speaker 1>have to recommend? Made me a Brett mark. Oh, there's
<v Speaker 1>Jalen Brunson. We'll all be doing the Jalen Brunson dance.
<v Speaker 1>On July eighteenth. The Madison Square Garden says ninety seven
<v Speaker 1>was Brett's best year. I have I've not heard of
<v Speaker 1>the Titan Book Trilogy. I don't know who authored it.
<v Speaker 1>I may have to look into that, but no, I've
<v Speaker 1>not heard of it. Ninety seven was a huge year
<v Speaker 1>for Brett. Ninety seven. Obviously he had one of the
<v Speaker 1>greatest matches of all time in WrestleMania with Steve Auston
<v Speaker 1>arguably arguably the greatest match from WrestleMania history, and then
<v Speaker 1>formed the Heart Foundation, had a great summer selet may
<v Speaker 1>have been with the Undertaker, great finish to that match,
<v Speaker 1>won the Championship for a fifth time, and then obviously
<v Speaker 1>everything happened with Montreal. So yeah, ninety seven was a
<v Speaker 1>huge year for Brett. I'm a little partial to like
<v Speaker 1>as far as like I don't know, just like in
<v Speaker 1>ring and like his peak. I feel like physical peak
<v Speaker 1>ninety four I might have to say ninety four bread.
<v Speaker 1>But ninety seven Brett was phenomenal. It's just too bad
<v Speaker 1>he was injured for part of it. He had that
<v Speaker 1>knee injury. I have like a knee scope. And the
<v Speaker 1>tree is back. Oh wow, the tree is back. The
<v Speaker 1>trees they're sprouting up all around me. It's turning into
<v Speaker 1>a forest. I can't see the forest from the trees.
<v Speaker 1>Sidrow says, Cop, why didn't you report your stolen credit card?
<v Speaker 1>Man says the thief was spending less than my wife.
<v Speaker 1>Cop says, so why are you reporting now? Man says,
<v Speaker 1>I think the thief got married. And this guy's just
<v Speaker 1>he's just full of jokes. Oh that's right. The ten
<v Speaker 1>Man tagging Calgary too. Yeah. Ninety seven was a special
<v Speaker 1>year for Brett. Imagine in that year, Man, you have
<v Speaker 1>that match with Austin at WrestleMania, and then you're part
<v Speaker 1>of that ten man tagging Calgary, both in the same year.
<v Speaker 1>Prince Mageta, after seeing his match on Saturday No one
<v Speaker 1>is more over over the top of kicking out of
<v Speaker 1>finishers than Rollins. He's worse than Rains and Cody like
<v Speaker 1>him kicking out of the top rope Crossroads in October. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean he's He's hardly the only you know, offending
<v Speaker 1>party though when it comes to that stuff, I just
<v Speaker 1>saw a match less than twenty four hours ago that
<v Speaker 1>would qualify that kind of irked me. The Uffman with
<v Speaker 1>the five Oba will win the title at the pl
<v Speaker 1>e that TKO loves so much, Wrestle Palooza. I'm telling you, man,
<v Speaker 1>the more I think about this, especially if Roman is
<v Speaker 1>sticking around through the summer, I would not put it
<v Speaker 1>past them to have Obi go for the championship in
<v Speaker 1>September and Wrestle Palooza, because you know they're going to
<v Speaker 1>bring back Wressell Palooza. It's like their new baby. They
<v Speaker 1>want Wressell Palooza to become basically what money in the
<v Speaker 1>Bank has become over the years. I would argue that,
<v Speaker 1>at least for a while, their money in the bank
<v Speaker 1>really supplanted Survivor series as like the Big Five or
<v Speaker 1>the Big Four Big Four. Nick rosso with a nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine after tonight. I could see Roxanne costing Live
<v Speaker 1>her match at SummerSlam, just like Live Dom and ballor
<v Speaker 1>did Terrea in Prease two years ago? Also, did you
<v Speaker 1>watch the entire Great American Bashment? Because Tatum and Zaria
<v Speaker 1>was great too. I've not watched the entire thing yet.
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to see the Kendall Gray match. I've watched that,
<v Speaker 1>I have not watched the other stuff yet. Hopefully I'll
<v Speaker 1>be able to get to that. And yes, I could see. Look,
<v Speaker 1>they've been teasing some sort of blow up with Roxanne
<v Speaker 1>and Live now for a while. It's going to happen.
<v Speaker 1>It's just a matter of where. If liv is losing
<v Speaker 1>her championship on that show, then that would make sense
<v Speaker 1>for it to happen there, and that sort of the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the end between Living Rock Sand. That site
<v Speaker 1>says the biggest wasted opportunity in Horror was not having
<v Speaker 1>Jamie Lloyd is the killer after Halloween four. I agree, man,
<v Speaker 1>there was a lot of potential there for that Danielle
<v Speaker 1>Harris character, that little girl the way they ended part four,
<v Speaker 1>for her to be the new killer in part five,
<v Speaker 1>and they chickened out. They chickened out Tonester good, Gunther
<v Speaker 1>doesn't deserve. Oh it's as good. Gunther doesn't deserve the
<v Speaker 1>top tap to j Man, one tap out to Jay Usso,
<v Speaker 1>and that's it. This man is ruined. He is branded
<v Speaker 1>for life, lost but found. What if the Royal Rumbl
<v Speaker 1>winner gets hurt and comes back two weeks before WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>and wants his title shot back, Well, then I guess
<v Speaker 1>we would suddenly have a triple threat match. That would
<v Speaker 1>be my guess that Sithe says, what if it ends
<v Speaker 1>up being Cody, Punk, Sammy Orton at Summerslime Because it
<v Speaker 1>does four things. It gives Sammy a brief run with
<v Speaker 1>the belt, It gives Randy number fifteen, It gives us
<v Speaker 1>a taste of Punk and Cody for wrestle MANNI of
<v Speaker 1>forty two, and it keeps Punk and Cody in the chase.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think Orton factors into this at all. I
<v Speaker 1>get the impression that he is hurt. I don't really
<v Speaker 1>see him factoring into this at this point. It's lost
<v Speaker 1>a lot of steam, all the interest I hadn't seeing
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Randy they really they were very successful in
<v Speaker 1>diminishing my enthusiasm for it. With that WrestleMania fiasco this year.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I know the way they left it. Cody
<v Speaker 1>got punted in the head, so they can always come
<v Speaker 1>back to it. But I don't. I don't see it.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't, and I star they wouldn't want them
<v Speaker 1>to use a four ways a way to put the
<v Speaker 1>belt on Randy Orton. I would see that more as
<v Speaker 1>a way for Sammy to sort of eke out a
<v Speaker 1>win if they did that. Brody with a nineteen ninety
<v Speaker 1>nine Okay, Brody coming in with the orange super chat
<v Speaker 1>here for another live stream. Don't get to do these often,
<v Speaker 1>but I always listened this to the next day. Thanks
<v Speaker 1>for being a great distraction in life. Also, if Hog
<v Speaker 1>comes to Maryland, I want to buy you a beer
<v Speaker 1>as a thanks for everything you do. Well. If we
<v Speaker 1>ever come to Maryland, that may take you up on that.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing on the calendar just yet, but I'm sure we'll
<v Speaker 1>venture over there at some point. Hopefully you'll be there
<v Speaker 1>when we do. Thank you, Brody. Rakeish. It's like when
<v Speaker 1>Jim Ross used to call Rakeishi when he debuted with
<v Speaker 1>the Rakishi gimmick. He was Rakishi, but he called them Rakishi.
<v Speaker 1>Rakish says what's up. I still think Oh believes SummerSlam
<v Speaker 1>with a title, Cody and Sammy go to war, Sammy survives,
<v Speaker 1>and then Oba cash is in his opportunity a La
<v Speaker 1>Bautista scene at twenty ten. Who knows he might even
<v Speaker 1>have an advocate by his side. That's a very creative
<v Speaker 1>scenario that you've laid out there that absolutely, one hundred
<v Speaker 1>percent will not happen. As I recall, the scene of Batista,
<v Speaker 1>thing had to do with Batista being in Vince McMahon's pocket,
<v Speaker 1>so that was a very different situation. And Oba with Hayman.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I suppose if he beats Brock and Brock
<v Speaker 1>really does retire, then possible, but just seems completely unnecessary.
<v Speaker 1>It's just not needed. Oba doesn't need Hayman, Johnny Bernie
<v Speaker 1>Jay loses King of the Ring but gets Sammy before Oba. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I said, like as soon as he said those words,
<v Speaker 1>it's like, I'm going to SmackDown. He needs a challenger.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, fuck out of here, man, get the fuck
<v Speaker 1>out of here. With this nonsense, Prince Vegeta, we are
<v Speaker 1>definitely regressing back. Ever since media Bron gets beat, Jacob
<v Speaker 1>gets beat, Oba throws his title shot Away Welcome Back
<v Speaker 1>twenty sixteen. Yeah, it's not good. I mean when you
<v Speaker 1>have all of these guys that are just losing, and
<v Speaker 1>not just losing once, but losing multiple times. So the
<v Speaker 1>same person I had even forgotten about, Jacob Jacob got
<v Speaker 1>beaten both matches by Roman last month. It's terrible. But
<v Speaker 1>these guys in the end, when all of a sudden done,
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna come out okay. On the other side, I
<v Speaker 1>believe that I have to believe that they're too talented
<v Speaker 1>not to uh ja mind you, Punk didn't need Paul
<v Speaker 1>Hayman either. Yeah. I mean, look, if MJF were to
<v Speaker 1>ever come to WWE, does he need Paul Hayman. No,
<v Speaker 1>But you gotta put Paul Hayman with MJF. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you talk about a natural combo. Come on, man, if
<v Speaker 1>MJF ever comes to WWE and I it's in the
<v Speaker 1>next few years, MJF and Hayman is is a gimme.
<v Speaker 1>It's a gimme. So yeah, there are certain people who
<v Speaker 1>you could say, well, this guy doesn't need Hayman. They
<v Speaker 1>don't need a manager right now at the moment. OBA
<v Speaker 1>doesn't need anybody else. Oba's fine on his own down
<v Speaker 1>the road. Who knows right now, he doesn't need him.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy says, imagine Row next week in Chicago, CM Punk
<v Speaker 1>returns out of the crowd, Jack Perry attacks him. Do
<v Speaker 1>you think it's possible Punk would would Why would Jack
<v Speaker 1>Perry be there? Jack Perry is not going anywhere. Jack
<v Speaker 1>Perry still has not signed a new deal with AW.
<v Speaker 1>But Jack Perry is not leaving AW. They're gonna work
<v Speaker 1>it out if they haven't already. He's not going anywhere.
<v Speaker 1>I know there was some rumors about that he's not.
<v Speaker 1>He's not going to ww A. Hayman can be. Mjf's
<v Speaker 1>a rabbi, It's true. I mean yeah, he likes to
<v Speaker 1>come up with a different descriptive term depending on like
<v Speaker 1>who the person is. So like for Brock, he was right.
<v Speaker 1>He's Brock's advocate. For Roman, he was his wise man.
<v Speaker 1>He's in the oracle, right, the oracle for Seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 1>So what would he be for MJF. They'd have to
<v Speaker 1>come up with a totally new day. Would he be
<v Speaker 1>is rabbi? I don't know. Aaron says, wonder if the
<v Speaker 1>OBA title shot will be one of those things? Triple
<v Speaker 1>H will forget or drop or hope the fans forget,
<v Speaker 1>and he'll just win the Royal Rumble for a wrestlemaniavent.
<v Speaker 1>Probably that would be a very Wwe thing to do. Sure, uh,
<v Speaker 1>we got Death Side. If they are going to do
<v Speaker 1>war games at Survivor series, why not do the Bloodline
<v Speaker 1>against the Judgment Day because it's the only thing they
<v Speaker 1>haven't done yet with these two groups. Have you have
<v Speaker 1>you seen the states of the Judgment Day lately? It's
<v Speaker 1>mostly a women's faction. Bod Line has no women. What
<v Speaker 1>are you gonna do in a war Games match? You're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and the Ussos against
<v Speaker 1>Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough. Boy, that's gonna be a
<v Speaker 1>terrible fucking war Games match. I don't want to see that.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody wants to see that. Come on, man, If you
<v Speaker 1>wanted to see the Bloodline in the Judgment Day, then
<v Speaker 1>you do it when the group was at its full strength,
<v Speaker 1>which it hasn't been in a very long time. They
<v Speaker 1>missed the boat. That ship has sailed the Judgment Yes,
<v Speaker 1>the Judgment Day is dead Arabian night. So during a break,
<v Speaker 1>did Ray challenge Penta at SummerSlam. If this happens instead
<v Speaker 1>of Gabled and Triple h needs to be axed asap.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think so, unless I stepped away and I
<v Speaker 1>missed it. I think I did see that promo. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think he challenged him for Summer Slim God, I
<v Speaker 1>hope not not over Gable. Death Side says, what would
<v Speaker 1>happen if Dan Housen tried to curse either Roman reigns
<v Speaker 1>or brock lesnar nothing? Their aura is too powerful for
<v Speaker 1>the dan Housen curse to work. The dan Housen curse
<v Speaker 1>only works on you know, people like a Matt Cardona
<v Speaker 1>or a JD. McDonough or Kit Wilson with a miz.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't work on Roman rains. Ron talks tabletop ten
<v Speaker 1>dollars super Chad just showing some support Ron. I appreciate that.
<v Speaker 1>That's very cool. Thank you you guys. Are you guys
<v Speaker 1>are showing up tonight? I appreciate that a lot. June
<v Speaker 1>was a very weird month. I'm kind of glad it's over. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>death Site says, watched Psycho three last night. The phone
<v Speaker 1>booth scene was a lot more violent than the shower scene.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing worse than being stuck in a small space, being
<v Speaker 1>stabbed and standing on broken glass barefoot. And yet that's
<v Speaker 1>we're watching three hours of SmackDown. It's a coin toss.
<v Speaker 1>Brian Finelli, bonus goal. I think Brian was the one
<v Speaker 1>who put us over the top. Thank you, Brian. I
<v Speaker 1>think Brian helped get us there. Bass Barris's Femi is
<v Speaker 1>oba rated joking. You better be Misfit Wrestling podcast. I'll
<v Speaker 1>say this. By next week's raw, you'll know what the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Championship match for Summer Slim is. Well, we'll find
<v Speaker 1>out soon enough. Asylumn Nutcase Solo, would you rather watch
<v Speaker 1>a very good match with a dead crowd or a
<v Speaker 1>bad match with a loud electric crowd. I would rather
<v Speaker 1>watch a bad match with a loud electric crowd, especially
<v Speaker 1>because that bad match would probably give me a lot
<v Speaker 1>of really good material to work with, but it might
<v Speaker 1>actually still be fun to see if you have a
<v Speaker 1>really loud, energetic crowd. So, as weird as that is
<v Speaker 1>to say, I feel like that that is what I
<v Speaker 1>would rather see. Let's refresh here and get all the
<v Speaker 1>latest ones in here, and then we got a couple
<v Speaker 1>of b the book to do we do? We do
<v Speaker 1>we do? Paul Carpenter? When is your aw review? Tomorrow
<v Speaker 1>the Uncrowned Wrestling Podcast. I will have full thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden Door audio only Pseudo TPK. I spilled spot remover
<v Speaker 1>on my dog and now he's gone bass beer as
<v Speaker 1>I used be the booker emoji. When Sammy hits the
<v Speaker 1>blue Thunderbomb, it's a great move, man, It's a great
<v Speaker 1>move blue thunderbomb. Ricky Sosa and TNA has the Blue Thunderbang,
<v Speaker 1>It's a great move. Death Syfe and death sythe is
<v Speaker 1>he's on one tonight. Ps. I mentioned Elfin a while
<v Speaker 1>ago on the stream when I said Randy Orton must
<v Speaker 1>have watched the anime in the late two thousands, and
<v Speaker 1>he looked at Lucy and said to himself, that's my
<v Speaker 1>gimmick going forward. Heard I've heard of Elden Ring. I've
<v Speaker 1>just I've never heard of Elfin lied. I'm sure you
<v Speaker 1>mentioned it before. I'm just I'm still not like I've
<v Speaker 1>never played it before. I'm not familiar with what it is.
<v Speaker 1>As far as like the story the characters. I have
<v Speaker 1>no idea. Is it about someone named Elfin who lied?
<v Speaker 1>And I'm being very simplistic here with the with the explanation,
<v Speaker 1>tgn Oba should have done double duty at SummerSlam, could
<v Speaker 1>have done something unprecedented postponing his title cheft for Roman
<v Speaker 1>versus Seth. I found safe and lame. Well, Safe and
<v Speaker 1>lame is the slogan of Triple H's WWE most of
<v Speaker 1>the time, so no one should be surprised. Misfit Wrestling Podcast.
<v Speaker 1>Remember Ray versus Sina in twenty eleven. Just keep that
<v Speaker 1>in mind for the next few days. I'd put nothing
<v Speaker 1>past these people, I said, Christian man. This used the
<v Speaker 1>Christian example from twenty eleven, same year. Funny enough, they
<v Speaker 1>pulled that shit twice in the same fucking year. Terrible
<v Speaker 1>the Shawnathan says, when I hear people say Jay should
<v Speaker 1>challenge Sammy for the championship, I think of that scene
<v Speaker 1>from Ricky Bobby. Don't you put that evil on me?
<v Speaker 1>Bace Beers says, no, yeat and Mike with a ten
<v Speaker 1>dollars super chat. I just want Brock to be done
<v Speaker 1>for good. Sena is retired, Batista is retired. Sheldon well Shelton,
<v Speaker 1>but I'll excuse it. Sheldon is an attack team in
<v Speaker 1>aw and Randy is hurt. Let's officially start the new
<v Speaker 1>generation and after SummerSlam, the new generation. It's like a
<v Speaker 1>razor and Diesel gold dust the Undertaker. It's the only
<v Speaker 1>new generation I know. Death Site says, I'm glad Vince
<v Speaker 1>McMahon is no longer in WWE because can you imagine
<v Speaker 1>him yeating with jay Usso I don't want to. I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to think about that. Link Master says Batista
<v Speaker 1>versus Big Show, bad match, electric crowd, that's that's a
<v Speaker 1>great example. Batista and Big Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom
<v Speaker 1>was a fucking disaster, but it was so funny to watch,
<v Speaker 1>and of course that crowd there was very vocal. It's
<v Speaker 1>one of those matches you can't turn away from. It's
<v Speaker 1>definitely not boring. And Money just watched King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring nineteen ninety eight yesterday and the Raw the night
<v Speaker 1>after earlier today. As someone turning twenty five next month,
<v Speaker 1>I wish I was alive to witness it. I'm glad
<v Speaker 1>I was alive to watch all of that stuff as
<v Speaker 1>it was happening, and I was that many I wasn't
<v Speaker 1>at those shows specifically. I want to say that wrest
<v Speaker 1>wrestle Mania, I want to say that King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring was in Pittsburgh, right, and then Raw the next
<v Speaker 1>night was in Cleveland, So I wasn't there, but dude,
<v Speaker 1>like I went to so many raws from that time period,
<v Speaker 1>like ninety eight and then ninety nine, and it was
<v Speaker 1>it just like I can't even describe it. Like it
<v Speaker 1>was especially at that age. It was like it was
<v Speaker 1>like a party, you know, and it was just a
<v Speaker 1>lot of It was also the demographics. So if you
<v Speaker 1>go back and you watch those shows, you see signs everywhere,
<v Speaker 1>and you look at the crowd and you see a
<v Speaker 1>lot of teenagers and college age kids, and so those
<v Speaker 1>are the ones that are getting drunk and rowdy and
<v Speaker 1>they're there to scream and act like idiots and just
<v Speaker 1>have a good time. And I don't know, it's just
<v Speaker 1>this perfect blend of characters and had Austin and DX
<v Speaker 1>and the Rock and the Nation and Undertaker and Kane
<v Speaker 1>and the Outlaws and everybody was over. It was just
<v Speaker 1>this perfect storm. Like you get better wrestling, like in
<v Speaker 1>ring wrestling move for move now than you did back then,
<v Speaker 1>especially on weekly television. But it was just it was
<v Speaker 1>just a different time, you know, and everything it's just
<v Speaker 1>it was different. It was different, but as somebody who
<v Speaker 1>was there for a lot of it, I can vouch it.
<v Speaker 1>It was a lot of fun. And those were also
<v Speaker 1>the days where it didn't cost you three hundred and
<v Speaker 1>fifty dollars to go to the show unless you were
<v Speaker 1>sitting in the front row or something. You could have
<v Speaker 1>to go to the shows back then. Alexander, thank you
<v Speaker 1>with the nine ninety nine. You know what, Jay should
<v Speaker 1>wrestle Sammy for the title. I'm all for it, so
<v Speaker 1>long as the stipulation is that he no longer is
<v Speaker 1>allowed to challenge for any championship as he as long
<v Speaker 1>as he draws breath if he loses, I still don't
<v Speaker 1>want to see it. How's that for an answer? All right,
<v Speaker 1>you guys? Hit the main goal. Main goal was six hundred. Yep,
<v Speaker 1>six hundred likes. We are currently sitting at almost seven hundred,
<v Speaker 1>and then we get the bonus as well. So here
<v Speaker 1>we go. Let's be the booker, ladies and gentlemen. It
<v Speaker 1>is now time to be the booker. Cass was under
<v Speaker 1>a dollar a gallon, was it, I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>it was. It was definitely cheaper than it is now.
<v Speaker 1>Back in my day, back in my day, all right,
<v Speaker 1>tag team beat a booker, Love me some tag team wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>That's how you know I'm not Paul Lavec. Here we go.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking of Paul Lavec, say his name and he appears.
<v Speaker 1>He's on my screen. Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin,
<v Speaker 1>the Two Man Power Trip, they had all the gold.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody can stop the Two Man Power Trip. I don't
<v Speaker 1>care who ends up being booked here as their opponent,
<v Speaker 1>and it definitely ain't these two guys the Killer Bees.
<v Speaker 1>But I will tell you what, Brian Blair and Jim
<v Speaker 1>Brunzell against Steve Austin and Triple H would actually be
<v Speaker 1>a pretty good wrestling much. They're gonna get murdered, but
<v Speaker 1>it would be a good wrestling match. So I have
<v Speaker 1>to give that the bell. I have to. All right,
<v Speaker 1>women's be the booker. We have the Princess of Staten Island. God,
<v Speaker 1>I forgot all about her, Carmela. Do you all want
<v Speaker 1>Carmela to return to w W. I don't see anybody
<v Speaker 1>asking for the return of Carmela. They're asking when is
<v Speaker 1>Oscar going to be back? When is Naomi going to
<v Speaker 1>be back? I don't see anybody asking about where's Carmela.
<v Speaker 1>When's Carmela going to be back? Carmela is going to
<v Speaker 1>be taking on Harley Cameron. I do love Harley Cameron.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not in love with that match though. There will
<v Speaker 1>be no clean sweep in round number one, but all
<v Speaker 1>is not lost. We have a main event here in
<v Speaker 1>the book. Oh it's one of my favorites, and I
<v Speaker 1>know it's a favorite of yours. It is Votto Sting.
<v Speaker 1>There have been many incarnations of Sting over the years,
<v Speaker 1>crow Sting, Surfer Sting, Uh, what was the team with
<v Speaker 1>him and the Warrior, Blade Runner Sting, Jokers Sting, Grandpa
<v Speaker 1>Sting in aw but never forget Vatos Sting without face.
<v Speaker 1>Paint this guy right here. You do not fuck with
<v Speaker 1>this because he'll cut you. Look at him. Look at him.
<v Speaker 1>I am not buzzing Vatos Sting. He'll be taking on
<v Speaker 1>the Jet Kevin Knight. Two for three, not bad, not bad,
<v Speaker 1>And because of you guys, we get an extra round
<v Speaker 1>where we may yet be able to get the sweep.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like we haven't had the bonus round in
<v Speaker 1>a while. Bikers thing in Walker Texas Ranger was that
<v Speaker 1>a thing? I must have missed that. Did he play
<v Speaker 1>a biker on that show? First Blood? Of course Moxley
<v Speaker 1>is in this image. First Blood match. Uh, usually we
<v Speaker 1>do a tag First Blood First Blood tag. We'll do
<v Speaker 1>a First Blood tag team match. We could do that,
<v Speaker 1>all right, first Blood tag team match. We have got
<v Speaker 1>the Wolves, the American Wolves debut Richards and Eddie Edwards.
<v Speaker 1>Eddie Edwards is still going. Eddie Edwards just wrestled Moose
<v Speaker 1>It's Lammiversary last night. First Blood with the Wolves against
<v Speaker 1>who against the Ultimate Maniacs, Macho Man, Randy Savage and
<v Speaker 1>the Ultimate Warrior. I don't recall the Ultimate Warrior ever bleeding.
<v Speaker 1>I don't recall him ever blading at any point in
<v Speaker 1>his career. Am I just completely blanking? Did he bleed
<v Speaker 1>at some point and I'm just not remembering? That would
<v Speaker 1>be a very interesting match. And of course the Wolves
<v Speaker 1>are The Wolves are not winning this. I can tell
<v Speaker 1>you that right now. Texas Death Mault. Boy, We're going
<v Speaker 1>from First Blood to Texas Death. Oh my god, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. I was gonna do a women's match, but
<v Speaker 1>I mean a women's te I guess, I guess we
<v Speaker 1>can a women's Texas Death match. Okay, he bleeds power,
<v Speaker 1>says Sheboygan. Yes, that and anabolic steroids. They seep out
<v Speaker 1>of his sweat pores. He sweats that stuff out. This
<v Speaker 1>is a Texas Death Match, everybody. I hope we get
<v Speaker 1>some tough ladies here. That's not exactly what I was
<v Speaker 1>expecting the first image. The first image is the fucking
<v Speaker 1>butterfly belt. We didn't have any women's tech, says death
<v Speaker 1>matches in the Divas era, but we do have Michelle McCool.
<v Speaker 1>This is not good for Michelle McCool. This is not
<v Speaker 1>the kind of match Michelle McCool wants to be in.
<v Speaker 1>This is not good Michelle McCool and Trish Stratus in
<v Speaker 1>a Texas death match. I'll give it for Trish. I'll
<v Speaker 1>give it for Trish. I kind of want to see
<v Speaker 1>what that would look like. Honestly, Okay, you guys, get
<v Speaker 1>one more match. We got to make it a good one.
<v Speaker 1>It's going to be man. Be the Booker is just
<v Speaker 1>in some sick, sadistic mood tonight. We went from First
<v Speaker 1>Blood to Texas Death to Monster's Ball. What the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker has been watching some some horror movies lately.
<v Speaker 1>I think too many horror movies. I think he's mad
<v Speaker 1>that we haven't done the Bonus Round in a while.
<v Speaker 1>That's why he's very upset. Monsters Ball, Here we go.
<v Speaker 1>The Big boss Man. Big boss Man was a good
<v Speaker 1>hardcore champion. Let me tell you something, Big boss Man,
<v Speaker 1>he took a picture. I assume it was glass, maybe
<v Speaker 1>sugar glass. I don't know whatever kind of glass it was,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't matter. There was a picture of I guess water.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it was a candy dish. I think
<v Speaker 1>it was an actual picture of water that was on
<v Speaker 1>the announced desk. One night he was having a hardcore
<v Speaker 1>match with Bob Holly and Bob Holly, I'll never forget
<v Speaker 1>this as long as I live. I wish I remember
<v Speaker 1>what episode it was. Bob Holly. He reached over and
<v Speaker 1>he grabbed that picture and he fucking smashed it into
<v Speaker 1>boss Man's face, right in his eye, and it shattered,
<v Speaker 1>and I think, of course, boss Man I think was bleeding,
<v Speaker 1>and ever it was terrible. It was awful, it sounded awful,
<v Speaker 1>it looked awful. You couldn't pay me enough money to
<v Speaker 1>do that. So the boss Man is hardcore. Don't you
<v Speaker 1>doubt that for a second. Oh my God, poor boss Man,
<v Speaker 1>Big boss Man against New Jack in a monster's ball.
<v Speaker 1>I see now. I feel bad now for the boss Man.
<v Speaker 1>Even the hardcore boss Man of ninety nine is no
<v Speaker 1>match for New Jack. This is not gonna end well
<v Speaker 1>for the Big boss Man and of all people, for
<v Speaker 1>Newjak to be in the ring with a corrections officer
<v Speaker 1>from Cobb County. I don't think he's gonna let boss
<v Speaker 1>men get out of there alive. Can you imagine the
<v Speaker 1>New Jack from Smoking Mountain Wrestling cutting promos on the
<v Speaker 1>white Southern corrections officer from Cobb County, Georgia. They would
<v Speaker 1>be thrown off the air for those promos. The show
<v Speaker 1>would be canceled Chicago for MBK. Thank you, brother for
<v Speaker 1>the two bucks. I hope you're doing well, Aaron with
<v Speaker 1>a four ninety nine. What would you think of Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns winning clean at SummerSlam and then him and Seth
<v Speaker 1>shake hands, finally burying the hatchet and closing the Shield story.
<v Speaker 1>I think that sounds very boring, just being honest. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna close this story either way, but that just
<v Speaker 1>sounds boring to me. I would hope they can come
<v Speaker 1>up with something a little more exciting. Oh it was
<v Speaker 1>a clean sweep. Damn it, damn it, hold on, hold on,
<v Speaker 1>there you go, you got you got your sound effect.
<v Speaker 1>I forgot it was a clean sweep. There's your sonic.
<v Speaker 1>You got your sonic. You happy super Pony. If Sammy
<v Speaker 1>drops the title before Summer Slam, what does he do
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam? Would be brutal if they take the belt
<v Speaker 1>off him and leave him off the show. He's not
<v Speaker 1>gonna be off the show if he was to have
<v Speaker 1>the championship taken from him before Summer Slam, unless he
<v Speaker 1>was back in the title match on that show. I
<v Speaker 1>could see him in CM Punk having an undercard match.
<v Speaker 1>Mike says Texas Death match between Solo Monster and Michael Cole.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think you could take him Solo? I know
<v Speaker 1>I could. I've seen him wrestle before. I know I
<v Speaker 1>could take him and Death's side. My advice is watch
<v Speaker 1>Elfin Lie Elfin Liede when you have time. You're either
<v Speaker 1>gonna really like it or really hate it. But we
<v Speaker 1>can all agree Lucy is fucking badass and could easily
<v Speaker 1>be the wife of Jason Vorhees. Now you say watch
<v Speaker 1>Elfin Lie, you make it sound like it's a movie.
<v Speaker 1>Is it a game or a movie? What was my
<v Speaker 1>favorite Sonic game? Probably the original, but the second one
<v Speaker 1>is actually really good. Whichever one had that casino zone level.
<v Speaker 1>Oh it's an anime. Okay, I thought it was a
<v Speaker 1>video game. It's an anime. Oh, it's pronounced lead elfin lead.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, then it should be spelled that way. Elfin
<v Speaker 1>lead is a dark anime. Dark animes are like Eon
<v Speaker 1>flux hey Reekinson fifty five months of channel membership, Vato's
<v Speaker 1>thing will Avenge Darby for night turning? Heel ps, did
<v Speaker 1>you see that Sodo error inside the park? Homer earlier?
<v Speaker 1>It's okay, my Yankees are sucking bad, right? I actually
<v Speaker 1>I have no idea anything that's happened today with the Mets,
<v Speaker 1>So this is the first I'm hearing of it. Mike says,
<v Speaker 1>sent you another another super chat solo I could see.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, Mike. It's a whole bunch of them. Tonight,
<v Speaker 1>Navy forty one eighty one says changed the money in
<v Speaker 1>the bank pl to human moneys in the bank. My god,
<v Speaker 1>can you imagine they have Dan housen Win money in
<v Speaker 1>the bank. And then he walks around all year with
<v Speaker 1>a briefcase and death site. There are thirteen episodes. That's
<v Speaker 1>a very unlucky number, thirteen episodes of elfin lead. It's German.
<v Speaker 1>The Germans know how to produce good television. There's a
<v Speaker 1>German show called Dark on Netflix. It's only three seasons
<v Speaker 1>but very very good. Fucked up. It's like this, like
<v Speaker 1>time travel involved. It's an interesting concept, but it's a
<v Speaker 1>really really good show. Anyway, I think I'm all I
<v Speaker 1>think I'm all caught up here. Thank you guys. This
<v Speaker 1>has been a fun night, fun stream coming off night
<v Speaker 1>of Champions the Raw after we have the SmackDown after
<v Speaker 1>which has already been taped. But we'll be doing our
<v Speaker 1>usual stream on Friday, nonetheless, and tomorrow we have a
<v Speaker 1>brand new episode of the Uncrowned Wrestling Show. That is
<v Speaker 1>where I will have my full thoughts and review on
<v Speaker 1>Forbidden Door and we'll talk about all the WWE fallout,
<v Speaker 1>talk a little bit of TNA as well coming out
<v Speaker 1>of Slammiversary. So that's on Uncrowned tomorrow. Keep your eyes
<v Speaker 1>peeled for that Tomorrow night over on JD's Channel, Tuesday
<v Speaker 1>Night Titans and then Wednesdays kind of a big dynamite
<v Speaker 1>because we have MJF defending the world Championship against Mark Briscoe,
<v Speaker 1>and we're going to crown a new t or rather
<v Speaker 1>a TBS champion because we have the six way women's
<v Speaker 1>Survival of the Fittest match, which is elimination style, so
<v Speaker 1>we're guaranteed to crown a new champion. So that will
<v Speaker 1>be very interesting to see who winds up with that championship. Yah,
<v Speaker 1>the Uncrowned Show. Remember you can get the show. It's
<v Speaker 1>on the Ariel Hellwani Show podcast feed, but there's also
<v Speaker 1>a dedicated feed for it, so on Apple and Spotify.
<v Speaker 1>If you go in there and type in the Uncrowned
<v Speaker 1>Wrestling Show, there is actually a feed just for that
<v Speaker 1>if you want to filter out like all the MMA stuff,
<v Speaker 1>because Ariel has a bunch of other shows as well.
<v Speaker 1>Either way, subscribe there when a new episode drops, which tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>I usually I mean I get it to them earlier
<v Speaker 1>in the day, but by the time it's process and
<v Speaker 1>they post it and everything, it's usually six or seven
<v Speaker 1>in the evening, so that's probably when you should just
<v Speaker 1>keep your eyes peeled for it. But anyway, so that'll
<v Speaker 1>be tomorrow and then all the rest of the usual
<v Speaker 1>streams during the week. That's all I got for you,
<v Speaker 1>so be well, stay safe. Brian says, I'll be listening
<v Speaker 1>in the hot tub with a margarita. That's the way
<v Speaker 1>to do it. I wouldn't have the margarita to have
<v Speaker 1>something else in the hot tub. With a margarita in
<v Speaker 1>one arm and a beautiful woman in the other, that's
<v Speaker 1>the best way to listen to the sound of I
<v Speaker 1>will see you guys tomorrow for more content, and back
<v Speaker 1>here on the YouTube channel on Wednesday. Until then, take care, guys,
