[SPEAKER_04]: He says he has a thrifted home, which means much of the stuff in the house I assume is thrifted.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you suppose there's a, there's no, is there a certain smell that you can identify Josh when you go into a thrift store?

[SPEAKER_04]: And if so, do you fancy the fact that Dave and Mr. Pennington live in a house that smells like a thrift store?

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, because it seems to be a lot of second-hand stuff in there.

[SPEAKER_02]: A thrift store's got like a dusty musky smell.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I would go so much as to go further and say that these two gentlemen

[SPEAKER_03]: his talent that he had regardless of the obstacles he had in his life and over overcame it and overcame it to the point where I've never seen anyone play fiddle like this.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is a guy named Michael Cleveland.

[SPEAKER_03]: He is a bluegrass fiddle player.

[SPEAKER_03]: He I believe is blind since birth and I read that he has 80% hearing loss in one ear.

[SPEAKER_03]: That may not be the only issue he has from birth, but I'm not quite sure.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's really mad.

[SPEAKER_04]: Current is he from some years ago.

[SPEAKER_04]: What does he still work?

[SPEAKER_04]: He's played with Billy Strings.

[SPEAKER_03]: So that would tell me he's relatively current.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he is in his 40s.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he's current.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's take a look at, if you like this, if you like bluegrass, you're going to love this.

[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't, pound sand.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's take a look at Michael Cleveland right here.

[SPEAKER_02]: What happened are we getting a is that a video from I think it's cutting off right there for some reason if you can retrieve Something longer.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the exact video that Josh I didn't tell Josh which one to grab of this guy And that's the exact video that I wanted and if you can get a longer version of that that would be awesome I really really love to share that with everybody

[SPEAKER_04]: is about speed and not only is he fast, there is a sweet tone to that because if you play a violin too fast, a lot of time they come off harsh, but he got such technique there.

[SPEAKER_03]: Have you ever had the opportunity to pick up a violin and see what it sounds like?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, play with it and stuff.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it always struck me as something that the precision required to hit the notes has to be so flawless, because otherwise you'll get that screechy nasty, off-tone thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: And if you're using a bow on four strings that are basically in a row, I mean, they have different levels, but it's just the very fact you can hit one string as skill, and the fact you can hit them at that speed is crazy.

[SPEAKER_04]: I love it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I love it.

[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see how they look, I know, I beg to differ Michael Cleveland.

[SPEAKER_03]: Delivers them right into your home and I was absolutely I must have watched that that one particular tape where he's playing live I must have watched it ten times the other night.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was that fabulous.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know very fun to watch his face because he knows He knows what he's doing.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's been doing it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, she was a pop

[SPEAKER_03]: it's a fantastic really.

[SPEAKER_04]: And Bluegrass is a fun genre nowadays and country was like this for a while, but Bluegrass is I think the last standing genre of music pop music that it drives and sounding clean and clear with a beautiful capture.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, relatively relatively new to me still is Billy Strings, who is, you know, tours with everybody, everybody knows who he is now.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I enjoy that too.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just it's just refreshing pure pure.

[SPEAKER_04]: And that's a great work for.

[SPEAKER_03]: music, you know, and in this day and age, it's something that when you see it, you appreciate it, you know, it's like, it's like watching our friend Fred Vigdor play the sacks live.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the guy is just absolutely incredible.

[SPEAKER_03]: All the things you said, I think pure is the best description of that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let me tell you what's not pure.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: And this, I want to, I want all the feedback I can get from people.

[SPEAKER_03]: I can't fit you says I'm glad Mike's algorithm has steered away from Russian death videos and on his home, that is good, that is good, that is good, all we could do is, all right, so I don't know it was three days, four days ago, I think maybe four days ago.

[SPEAKER_03]: We come in and it's averaging about 95 to 100 degrees here in Southwest Florida, it's what we're used to, it's where we live, we get it, that's the way it works.

[SPEAKER_03]: uh... still doesn't take away from the fact that if you have a house with no air conditioning uh... you're gonna have a problem on your hands and so when i came in i believe it was uh... probably friday of last week or or saturday uh... and i look and on the thermostat you got a black screen there's nothing on there is nothing and you had to happen before oh yeah well i think a lot of people have down in this part of the world

[SPEAKER_03]: And I look at this thing and it's a dead, dead, dead, dumb, dead, dumb, dead in the water.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I have an idea of what it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's the little drain tube that comes off the, it's a condensation drain that all these units have.

[SPEAKER_03]: And well, it's so humid.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so Michael's home,

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm out, Carla's out, no one's home, but the guy's coming up by in short, because you want to get him as soon as you can.

[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, credit to all these HVAC companies down here, a lot of them do the 24-7 thing where you should get somebody out there to deal with you.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, this works out well for a service plan, or do you just have a guy you call?

[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't have a service plan, the company that I purchased my air conditioning system from a couple of years ago, has been bought up by a new company that happens all the time too.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's somebody bumper sticker says it's hard for the AC to cool 6,000 square feet.

[SPEAKER_03]: I wish I had that, yes, it's hard to cool the West and the East wing.

[SPEAKER_03]: very very difficult as you don't you choose you have to just like a uh... mr. freeze just have those little regions and we had to stay in the warm area so carla handles the call through my son with this guy uh... on a over the phone and the way it's explained to me at a later hour is that he uh... clean the drain

[SPEAKER_03]: and said we could probably use a some sort of unit to put out disinfectant in it, but that's the DIY people that say we'll get to that in a second, but he says to make a long story story, Kyle is only quote, God bless her heart was he tried to sell me something and I did buy one thing he bought the service plan.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now the service plan essentially is you pay one number to get them to come out and clean your system twice a year.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it is.

[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't, but a month and a half ago that you guys gave me all kinds of grief for having a service plan for my air conditioning unit.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, because and basically I haven't had any problems with it since we had it installed a few years ago But he does come out and service it every spring and every fall and I think it's important that you maintain it So I'm glad you did that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I I haven't finished yet.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm just letting I'm so I'm doing I'm commenting in real time.

[SPEAKER_03]: I understand You know, but Rob, I'm happy that your guy is working out for you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: I really really am but

[SPEAKER_03]: I come home, we have air conditioning that's functioning, and the temperature says 76 degrees.

[SPEAKER_03]: And our later 76 degrees.

[SPEAKER_03]: Then an hour later than that, 70s, then it's night time.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, quite a good and bad temperature goes on.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and turn off that fireplace.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know temperature goes down.

[SPEAKER_03]: Temperature goes down at night.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wake up in the morning.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm out of the house before I know what's going on.

[SPEAKER_03]: Next evening, 76, then we get a little bit of a break.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we don't really notice it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then yesterday, I looked up and I came out from doing this very show.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I sit down and my spot, my well-warned spot in the 6,000 square foot home.
