<v Speaker 1>It's been a hot day here in New York. Too hot.
<v Speaker 1>This show was not too hot tonight, but it was
<v Speaker 1>the first two hour SmackDown of the year. I'm very
<v Speaker 1>happy about that. I am not complaining about the fact
<v Speaker 1>that we had a two hour SmackDown tonight. I always
<v Speaker 1>said the time may change the quality of the show,
<v Speaker 1>though that's a different story. Honestly, you know what this
<v Speaker 1>show felt like tonight. This felt more like a ninety
<v Speaker 1>minute show that they stretched out to two hours. And
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure part of the reason for that, anyway, is
<v Speaker 1>because they taped Raw on Monday and then immediately taped
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown because they were giving everybody off of the Fourth
<v Speaker 1>of July holiday this weekend, so this was a tape show.
<v Speaker 1>They did two shows in one night, so I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>they piped in some crowd noise. We got some crowds sweetening,
<v Speaker 1>especially during that page. That page Bribella and Lany reidmatch,
<v Speaker 1>And so we ended up with the show that we
<v Speaker 1>ended up with here tonight's. It was not a very
<v Speaker 1>good show, as his part for the chorus would SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>not a good show, but it was instantly better than
<v Speaker 1>every other three hour episode because there was one hour
<v Speaker 1>less of it dyes see, and we get to enjoy
<v Speaker 1>it now for the next six months. That's great. We
<v Speaker 1>do have a new number one contender for the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 1>It was Cody Rhodes and Jay Usso in the main
<v Speaker 1>event of tonight's show, and the winner would go on
<v Speaker 1>to Monday Night. We're on next week in Chicago to
<v Speaker 1>challenge Sammy Zain for the WWE title. So Sammy's ain
<v Speaker 1>got to come out tonight here on this show. He
<v Speaker 1>got to revel in being champion for the first time
<v Speaker 1>in his career. It may be the only time that
<v Speaker 1>Sammy z Ain walks out on SmackDown as the WWE champion,
<v Speaker 1>because it sure feels like he ain't gonna have that
<v Speaker 1>championship after Monday. So I sure hope Sammy has the
<v Speaker 1>chance to enjoy it, however brief it may be, because
<v Speaker 1>it sounds like it's coming to an end on Monday.
<v Speaker 1>We had Cody, like I said in Jay in the
<v Speaker 1>main event tonight, and I'm watching this match, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>they're doing what they do, They're going through the motions
<v Speaker 1>and they're hitting all their usual spots, and I'm like
<v Speaker 1>this doesn't feel like a major Number one contenders match,
<v Speaker 1>and then I laugh at the people who actually and
<v Speaker 1>there were some people I'm sure out there who thought
<v Speaker 1>there was at least a possibility the WWE might do
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Jay at SummerSlam because Jay was gonna win
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring, Brock was gonna screw Oh, but
<v Speaker 1>we were gonna end up with King J And I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>this isn't even a SmackDown main event, And there were
<v Speaker 1>actually people who convinced themselves the WWE was going to
<v Speaker 1>go with that as a night one stadium show main event.
<v Speaker 1>Are you out of your fucking mind? It was barely
<v Speaker 1>a main event here on this show, and it was
<v Speaker 1>the only outcome that you knew we were going to
<v Speaker 1>get because they were going to run back Cody and
<v Speaker 1>Sammy as soon as possible. Chicago is obviously a very
<v Speaker 1>interesting place to do it. And so as we go
<v Speaker 1>along here, we'll talk a little bit more about that. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>the highlight of this show was and I feel like
<v Speaker 1>this is the second or third time now that I'm
<v Speaker 1>saying this, but the highlight of the show was Ray
<v Speaker 1>Phoenix defending his triple A cruiserweight Championship. We've seen him
<v Speaker 1>defend it now against Axiom against Nathan Fraser. Tonight it
<v Speaker 1>was against VIKINGO, and they didn't get a lot of time.
<v Speaker 1>They got about eight minutes. We got to see half
<v Speaker 1>of it because there was a commercial in the middle.
<v Speaker 1>But what we got from that was very good because
<v Speaker 1>they're trying to push Triple A as hard as possible, so
<v Speaker 1>we had two Triple A champions in fact in that match,
<v Speaker 1>only for Ray Phoenix's title. I'll have an update on
<v Speaker 1>VIKINGO as well here in a little bit, and they
<v Speaker 1>have made a United States Championship match for next Friday
<v Speaker 1>show will be Trick Williams defending his title against Carmelo Hayes.
<v Speaker 1>Now that Trick Williams has vanquished Ricky Saints, who was
<v Speaker 1>not on the show tonight, we were moving on to
<v Speaker 1>Trick and Mellow, which may well also end up being
<v Speaker 1>a Summer Slam match. All Mellow has to do is
<v Speaker 1>beat Trick next week because that is a non title match,
<v Speaker 1>the championship will not be on the line. So I
<v Speaker 1>guess the question is, is Ricky Saints done with Trick Williams.
<v Speaker 1>He may not be. He may show up again. Next week,
<v Speaker 1>he may get involved. We may yet end up with
<v Speaker 1>a triple threat match involving all three men at some point,
<v Speaker 1>so they set that up for next week. Outside of that,
<v Speaker 1>they moved some other things ahead. There were other stories
<v Speaker 1>programs that they move forward, but they were all largely
<v Speaker 1>boring things. Happy Fourth of July weekend, everybody. This is
<v Speaker 1>your Friday Night SmackDown review. It is Friday Night, July third,
<v Speaker 1>two thousand and twenty six. I am the Solemn Monster
<v Speaker 1>where it topped one hundred degrees today here in New
<v Speaker 1>York City. Real feel a lot more than that, And
<v Speaker 1>of course, as I am just trying to survive the
<v Speaker 1>day and I am trying to get some work done,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm seeing all of these clips of all of
<v Speaker 1>the closures, the street closures all over the city because
<v Speaker 1>Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey are getting married at Madison
<v Speaker 1>Square Garden, I'm sure with lots and lots of air
<v Speaker 1>conditioning inside MSG my living room air conditioner the compressor
<v Speaker 1>died and so it's just blowing hot air on the
<v Speaker 1>hottest day of the year. So yes, I'm certainly in
<v Speaker 1>a mood today, But I hope wherever you may be
<v Speaker 1>that you are staying safe from this heat, because this
<v Speaker 1>heat kills, especially when it comes to elderly neighbors, family members.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, this is serious stuff here. Certain some of
<v Speaker 1>you may be used to it in certain parts of
<v Speaker 1>the country. Although who was a venom Catetsu? I think
<v Speaker 1>I saw in the chat before it says he lives
<v Speaker 1>in the desert and it only got maybe you didn't
<v Speaker 1>even get into the nineties. It was hotter here than
<v Speaker 1>it was there, and so this is not the kind
<v Speaker 1>of weather that we're necessarily used to. So be sure
<v Speaker 1>to check on neighbors and loved ones because it's a
<v Speaker 1>dangerous situation, that's for sure. Like and subscribe. Super chats
<v Speaker 1>are open. I know a bunch of them already came
<v Speaker 1>in earlier, which I love you guys for it. I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to be reading through all of your messages. We
<v Speaker 1>had a big night on Wednesday. I want to once
<v Speaker 1>again shout out well, I mean there's a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>people to shout out, Boots being one of them, and
<v Speaker 1>Randy Bubandy, but Debtsife gifted almost thirty channel memberships on
<v Speaker 1>Wednesday alone, so I want to thank him again for that,
<v Speaker 1>and I want to use that as an opportunity to
<v Speaker 1>just remind people that you can become a channel member
<v Speaker 1>here on YouTube. If you see people using special emojis
<v Speaker 1>in the chat, whenever there's a feature like rspw rewind,
<v Speaker 1>which you know there are ideas for other features that
<v Speaker 1>I'd like to be working on. Channel members get early
<v Speaker 1>access to that Legends. Tier members have access to some
<v Speaker 1>of the retro audio, the very first episodes of the
<v Speaker 1>sound off from almost twenty years ago. There's some cool
<v Speaker 1>stuff there, So go ahead and consider becoming a member,
<v Speaker 1>or perhaps gifting a membership to somebody else. They're assigned randomly,
<v Speaker 1>by the way. You can't say I want to give
<v Speaker 1>this person. You just gift them and they land where
<v Speaker 1>they land. So anyway, the wheel is not working tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I think the heat shorted it out. So in lieu
<v Speaker 1>of the wheel, I will decree that tonight the goal
<v Speaker 1>to do be the book or the likes goal. We
<v Speaker 1>need three hundred and fifty likes minimum on this stream.
<v Speaker 1>If we could at least do three to fifty, then
<v Speaker 1>we will do be the booker. So that is the
<v Speaker 1>goal for tonight. Now let's get into this program here. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>there's Teensen Zephyr activating super scene to thank you for
<v Speaker 1>the ten spot teen Gen, I appreciate. Happy Fourth of
<v Speaker 1>July to you, brother and super both of you. I
<v Speaker 1>see everyone has their heat stories. It's crazy. It's like
<v Speaker 1>hell on Earth, it really is. I made the mistake
<v Speaker 1>of earlier in the week buying these valued naturals. I
<v Speaker 1>forgot the exact brand. There's a certain brand of these,
<v Speaker 1>like dark chocolate almonds, and I can't do the milk chocolate,
<v Speaker 1>but these dark chocolate almonds. They're so fucking good, and
<v Speaker 1>I made the mistake. I shouldn't have even bought them
<v Speaker 1>this week. I buy them almost every week. I bought
<v Speaker 1>them this week. I have like a little fucking dish
<v Speaker 1>that they're in. I don't put them in the fridge.
<v Speaker 1>I keep them out. I forgot all about them. Boy,
<v Speaker 1>was that a mistake. I no longer have dark chocolate almonds.
<v Speaker 1>What I do have, though, is dark chocolate soup, if
<v Speaker 1>anybody would like some. They open with highlights from Night
<v Speaker 1>of champions in Riod this weekend and Sammy Zain winning
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship, which evidently has made certain people in
<v Speaker 1>the community. It has made their heads explode. You love
<v Speaker 1>to see it, you love to see it. There are
<v Speaker 1>some people who simply have had a meltdown over the
<v Speaker 1>fact that this man has won the WWE title, like
<v Speaker 1>it is the end of civilization as we know it,
<v Speaker 1>crime more so. SmackDown then opened with the new WWE champion.
<v Speaker 1>Did I mention that Sammy's ain making his way down
<v Speaker 1>to the ring, and he got a pretty good reaction.
<v Speaker 1>All things considered, it was mixed but mostly positive, and
<v Speaker 1>Sammy talked about how people in the building are here
<v Speaker 1>to ride or die with the last real good guy.
<v Speaker 1>Said that all the support that he has received has
<v Speaker 1>touched him truly from the bottom of his heart, thanks everybody,
<v Speaker 1>and he acknowledged how he's been booed out of the
<v Speaker 1>building for the past few months, said that it was
<v Speaker 1>ironic because those same people that were booing were people
<v Speaker 1>wanting to see him become champion only a few years ago.
<v Speaker 1>Said that he can be petty to all of those
<v Speaker 1>people who turn their backs on him, and he could
<v Speaker 1>tell all of them to kiss my ass, but he's
<v Speaker 1>not going to do that because he's a good guy.
<v Speaker 1>Sam He said he's holding it because he won't change,
<v Speaker 1>said that people told him to be meaner. They told
<v Speaker 1>him to be cutthroat, said that he didn't listen to them.
<v Speaker 1>He said he did it his way, and he did
<v Speaker 1>it the right way. He said that he can be
<v Speaker 1>petty to all those doubters who don't think that he's
<v Speaker 1>championship material. He could tell all of them to kiss
<v Speaker 1>my ass, but he's not going to do that because
<v Speaker 1>this is a celebration. He said that he will go
<v Speaker 1>down now as one of the all time greats. He
<v Speaker 1>has headlined WrestleMania. He is a Grand Slam champion. No
<v Speaker 1>amount of booing, no amount of hate, no amount of
<v Speaker 1>noise is going to take that away from him. And
<v Speaker 1>that brought out the former WWE champion. Cody wrote after
<v Speaker 1>he got in the ring, Sammy mockingly asked him, what
<v Speaker 1>do you want to talk about. Cody said that Sammy
<v Speaker 1>talked about how when Cody won the championship at WRESTLEMANI
<v Speaker 1>of forty that he was the first in line to
<v Speaker 1>congratulate him. So he wanted to be the first to
<v Speaker 1>come out here and congratulate Sammy on winning the WWE title.
<v Speaker 1>And the two of them shook hands and Cody went
<v Speaker 1>to go leave, and so he stopped him. He told
<v Speaker 1>Cody get back here. He said Cody wasn't just here
<v Speaker 1>to congratulate him. It had to do with him having
<v Speaker 1>what Cody used to have, which, by the way, as
<v Speaker 1>this promo went on, we found out that Sammy was
<v Speaker 1>right and Cody was just lying through his teeth, because
<v Speaker 1>Cody said later in this very same segment that he
<v Speaker 1>was out here looking for his rematch, and so he
<v Speaker 1>wasn't just walk it off expecting nothing here. But he said,
<v Speaker 1>you know again, I have what you used to have.
<v Speaker 1>And before tensions could boil over, we heard Jay USO's
<v Speaker 1>music and he did not come yeading through the crowd.
<v Speaker 1>He came like a normal person walking down the aisle
<v Speaker 1>to the ring. Fans wanted him to run it back.
<v Speaker 1>He said he's not going to run it back because
<v Speaker 1>tonight it's not about him, it's about his oose, It's
<v Speaker 1>about Sammy, and he said he was proud of Sammy
<v Speaker 1>for earning what he deserved. But Jay said he was
<v Speaker 1>out here on bloodline business and that this was his
<v Speaker 1>warning shot to Sammy, said he needed to bring the
<v Speaker 1>gold back to the family. Cody interrupted, He asked, what
<v Speaker 1>year is this? I actually could relate a lot in
<v Speaker 1>this moment. To Cody Rose, I find myself asking this
<v Speaker 1>very question quite often recently, fucking Roman Reigns and seth
<v Speaker 1>Rollins in the main event of SummerSlam. We have edgend
<v Speaker 1>Christian his tag team champions in wrestling at the same
<v Speaker 1>time that the Hardys are the tag team champions in
<v Speaker 1>another promotion in wrestling. I sometimes have to pinch myself
<v Speaker 1>and ask myself that same question, what year are we
<v Speaker 1>living in? So, Cody said he wanted to know. When
<v Speaker 1>Jay reverted back to being an errand boy for Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 1>Cody said, it's time to talk about his rematch. Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>ears perked up. He pointed out that Cody's had his chance.
<v Speaker 1>This is Sammy's time to be champion. He told Jay
<v Speaker 1>that the title is already in the family with him
<v Speaker 1>being an honorary USINOL, and it's gonna stay with him.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy started to leave when the new interim acting general
<v Speaker 1>manager of SmackDown walked out at Pierce has assumed the position.
<v Speaker 1>Because Gunther and Nick all this, they got into a
<v Speaker 1>little tiff after Night of Champions on Saturday. They had
<v Speaker 1>to be separated, and so Gunther was sent home. Nick All,
<v Speaker 1>this was sent home and we were told that he
<v Speaker 1>was placed on administrative leave and that in his absence
<v Speaker 1>for the time being, Adam Pierce will assume the GM
<v Speaker 1>responsibilities for both Raw and SmackDown, which should be easy
<v Speaker 1>enough to do. I mean, look, we've had presidents before
<v Speaker 1>that have run everything and they did just fine. The
<v Speaker 1>esteem Jack Tunney, Guerrilla, mon Soon, Rowdy, Roddy Piper, all
<v Speaker 1>of these men have run WWE. They didn't just run Superstars,
<v Speaker 1>they didn't just run Wrestling Challenge. They didn't just run
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw. They ran the whole thing. I think
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pierce will be okay. What he does on SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>is largely the exact same thing he does on Raw.
<v Speaker 1>We constantly have people crossing over from Raw to SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>to Raw. What difference does it make. It's just one
<v Speaker 1>big giant show. Anyway, this is easy. So he walked
<v Speaker 1>out there and he said his first order of business
<v Speaker 1>is to find Sammy's next challenger. And Sammy wondered if
<v Speaker 1>as the champion, he has any saying who that first
<v Speaker 1>challenger is going to be at SummerSlam, and he said, uh,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't say anything about Summer Slim So No. Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>as it turns out, is going to defend his championship
<v Speaker 1>on Raw this coming Monday. Raw is in Chicago and
<v Speaker 1>Sammy will have his first defense of the WWE title.
<v Speaker 1>All got fucked up up. There goes the tree, There
<v Speaker 1>goes fuck that tree. Yeah, I knew that was coming.
<v Speaker 1>Hey Brandon Proctor, thank you brother. He is destroying the tree.
<v Speaker 1>How we are going to decide the challenger for Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>championship is very simple. In the main event of this
<v Speaker 1>show tonight, it will be Cody Rhodes going one on
<v Speaker 1>one with Jay Usso and the winner will get Sammy
<v Speaker 1>on Monday. So Sammy was not pleased about this development,
<v Speaker 1>and neither am I because I know exactly where this
<v Speaker 1>is headed, and I know all of you know exactly
<v Speaker 1>where this is headed. First of all, in this segment here, Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>he was straddling that line here between heel and Babyface.
<v Speaker 1>He got a decent amount of cheers, you know, coming
<v Speaker 1>out his first night as champion came out. He's thanking
<v Speaker 1>the fans from the bottom of his heart. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>very much, all my rider Die fans. You know he's
<v Speaker 1>been doing this, you know, tweeter thing of late trending
<v Speaker 1>more towards Heal than face, but still kind of straddling
<v Speaker 1>that line. So that's what he was doing here. In
<v Speaker 1>this segment Cody came out. Cody's reaction was more mixed.
<v Speaker 1>Wasn't really overwhelmingly positive or negative one way or the other.
<v Speaker 1>If I had to choose between a match this Monday
<v Speaker 1>between Cody Rhoads and Sammy's Ain or Sammy's Ain and
<v Speaker 1>Jay Usso in this circumstance, I wouldn't have said this
<v Speaker 1>about SummerSlam, But in this circumstance, I would go with
<v Speaker 1>Jay and Sammy. And the reason I would go with
<v Speaker 1>Jay and Sammy is because Jay Usso has no fucking
<v Speaker 1>shot at winning the championship, nor did he before. Cody,
<v Speaker 1>on the other hand, is the favorite going into that
<v Speaker 1>match on Monday. I would actually be quite surprised if
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhods does not leave Chicago on Monday night as
<v Speaker 1>the new WWE champion. So at least if we had
<v Speaker 1>Jay and Sammy, I wouldn't worry nearly as much in
<v Speaker 1>this case. If you're a Sammy's Ain fan, you have
<v Speaker 1>very good reason to be worried. About how this is
<v Speaker 1>going to turn out on Monday. But I'm a lot
<v Speaker 1>more sure about Cody in this spot than I am.
<v Speaker 1>I'm Jay you. So, now look, I made the comparison
<v Speaker 1>previously that they're going to do to Sammy what they
<v Speaker 1>did to Christian fifteen years ago. Now, at least with
<v Speaker 1>Christian or Randy Orton, we ended up with a really
<v Speaker 1>great summer program out of it. They had some really
<v Speaker 1>great matches, They flip flopped the belt back and forth
<v Speaker 1>a few times. They paid it off at SummerSlam. And
<v Speaker 1>so I'm not going to say, even if Sammy does
<v Speaker 1>lose the championship this soon, that he's going to be
<v Speaker 1>out of the main event scene and that's it. You know,
<v Speaker 1>He's kind of back down to the mid card and
<v Speaker 1>that's the end of Sammy challenging for the title. But
<v Speaker 1>it probably is. I don't see him following Christian's same
<v Speaker 1>path where he flip flops the belt back and forth,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, I don't see it. I don't have
<v Speaker 1>that same kind of faith that that's what would happen here.
<v Speaker 1>But it feels like we are headed for a very
<v Speaker 1>christian Esque moment come Monday night, at least in the
<v Speaker 1>case of Sammy, he will have held the championship for
<v Speaker 1>longer than Christian did Christian Christian had the title technically
<v Speaker 1>for forty eight hours, even though that smack that where
<v Speaker 1>he lost it didn't air for a few days until
<v Speaker 1>after that. But it feels very much like that's exactly
<v Speaker 1>where we're headed. And that's assuming, of course, Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 1>is the one who is going to ra on Monday night.
<v Speaker 1>I won't give it away yet. We haven't gotten to
<v Speaker 1>the main event yet. We'll talk about that a little
<v Speaker 1>bit later. Let's go on with the rest of this show. Here. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>she's coming up later, Venom Katatsu, you've jumped the gun.
<v Speaker 1>She's coming up a little bit later on. You almost
<v Speaker 1>timed it right. Did I not make myself clear death side?
<v Speaker 1>Apparently I did not, thank you to the both of you.
<v Speaker 1>Longer than Cain. Well, yes, it is longer than Cain.
<v Speaker 1>Cain had it for twenty four hours. I suppose it
<v Speaker 1>could be worse, could be a lot worse. He could
<v Speaker 1>have lost it the same night if they had a
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank. Breave case flow around. Still, he
<v Speaker 1>may have been champion for three minutes. It could always
<v Speaker 1>be Worse Michael Cole. Speaking of Worse Michael Cole and
<v Speaker 1>Corey Graves. They checked in at the desk and pitched
<v Speaker 1>it over to Kathy Kelly, who interviewed Charlotte Flair in
<v Speaker 1>the back and Kathy asked her, why did you interfere
<v Speaker 1>in Jade's US title match a Night of Champions. Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>said that she just returned the favor after Jade got
<v Speaker 1>involved in her business, which is true. I mean, hey,
<v Speaker 1>what one good turn deserves another, right. Jade arguably cost
<v Speaker 1>her a spot in the Queen of the Ring tournament
<v Speaker 1>because of the bad knee, and so Charlotte flew halfway
<v Speaker 1>across the world just to get revenge, because revenge is
<v Speaker 1>the greatest motivator of all that in anger, they are
<v Speaker 1>great motivators. She got on a plane, I don't even
<v Speaker 1>know how many hours that it was at fourteen hours,
<v Speaker 1>whatever it is. She flew all the way to Riod
<v Speaker 1>just to whack Jade in the head with the US tie,
<v Speaker 1>and so she cost her her shot to be champions.
<v Speaker 1>So now they're even. Alexa Bliss showed up. She didn't
<v Speaker 1>seem very happy because she said it would have been
<v Speaker 1>nice to get a heads up that you were actually
<v Speaker 1>going to be at Knight of Champions. Charlotte talked about
<v Speaker 1>Alexa teaming up with Tiffany Stratton without informing her, So
<v Speaker 1>there is trouble. There's trouble here between these two people.
<v Speaker 1>There's trouble in paradise. This led into Charlotte Tiffany, so
<v Speaker 1>she just did it again. She's teaming up with Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>and Chelsea Green against Jade, Cargill, Meechen and Beefab. Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>tagged in a little bit deeper into the match. She
<v Speaker 1>was having her away with the batties until Jade put
<v Speaker 1>her down took control ahead of a commercial break. After
<v Speaker 1>the commercial and Beaching and Bfab they were double teaming Charlotte,
<v Speaker 1>Jade tagged in. She hit her fall away slam into
<v Speaker 1>the kip up that she does. She missed a charge
<v Speaker 1>into the corner though, that allowed Charlotte to get the
<v Speaker 1>tag to Chelsea, who hit a rough rider. Befab, though
<v Speaker 1>was able to break up the pin attempt, so things
<v Speaker 1>broke down. Chelsea avoided Jade's pump kick her unpretty. Her
<v Speaker 1>attempt got reversed into a Jaded attempt that Chelsea then
<v Speaker 1>turned into a roll up bfab ran distraction on the apron,
<v Speaker 1>but she got punched in the face knocked off the apron,
<v Speaker 1>but that momentary distraction was all that Jade needed to
<v Speaker 1>sneak up behind Chelsea, and this time she managed to
<v Speaker 1>hit Jaded and she pinned her to put it away.
<v Speaker 1>So they're still keeping Jade strong as they prepare for
<v Speaker 1>the inevitable showdown at SummerSlam, which is still not official yet,
<v Speaker 1>but you know it's coming. It's going to be Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>Flair one on one with Jade Cargill. It is getting
<v Speaker 1>very tiring seeing these same combinations every single week, and
<v Speaker 1>you know, you look back sort of in the history
<v Speaker 1>of this company and in the history of wrestling. There
<v Speaker 1>are people who are you know, quote unquote married to
<v Speaker 1>each other on television who work together a lot. Right,
<v Speaker 1>These programs that we see and they stretch out over
<v Speaker 1>a period of weeks, sometimes months, with the bloodline years.
<v Speaker 1>If it's good though, if you got people who were
<v Speaker 1>super over, or if you have a story that's really
<v Speaker 1>super compelling and interesting, you can excuse it. Right. There
<v Speaker 1>are certain people who I'm sure you would be you
<v Speaker 1>would consider your favorites. I would consider my favorites, and
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't mind seeing them work a three or four
<v Speaker 1>month program and go back and forth a few times. Right,
<v Speaker 1>That sounds like fun. Unfortunately, fun is not a word
<v Speaker 1>I associate with this show, because this show is generally
<v Speaker 1>fucking terrible. And I mean it's certainly not a case
<v Speaker 1>where everybody on the show is super over. Very few
<v Speaker 1>people on this show are what I would consider to
<v Speaker 1>be super over. And get their programmed together for weeks
<v Speaker 1>and weeks and weeks and weeks and sometimes months on end,
<v Speaker 1>and it just gets tiresome. You see the same combinations
<v Speaker 1>over and over again. It wasn't that good of the beginning,
<v Speaker 1>it's not that good now all to try to get
<v Speaker 1>to whatever the ultimate goal is here, and the ultimate
<v Speaker 1>goal here is Charlotte and Jade, and that's a big
<v Speaker 1>enough match for them to do as Summer Slim. But
<v Speaker 1>in the meantime, we have all these weeks of television
<v Speaker 1>where we're seeing the same combination of Charlotte and Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>and the Baddies and Jade and Meechen and BFAB and
<v Speaker 1>singles matches and tag matches and trios matches, and I
<v Speaker 1>just feel like it's this infinite loop, and it's just
<v Speaker 1>not that interesting. It's just not happy to see Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>green Though getting more reps in the ring as a babyface.
<v Speaker 1>You know, that's nice to see she took the loss
<v Speaker 1>again here. You would think that at some point Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>Stratton might get tired of seeing her take the l's
<v Speaker 1>and who knows, maybe that leads to a heel turn
<v Speaker 1>for Tiffany. We could end up getting that. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know now that they want to turn Tiffany heel though
<v Speaker 1>before they eventually feud her with Blake Monroe. So I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that the end goal here is for Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>and Tiffany to have a program together and with Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>maybe is the heel and Chelsea is the baby face.
<v Speaker 1>I thought maybe that was potentially the plan before, but
<v Speaker 1>now I'm not sure, because I'm sure they're going to
<v Speaker 1>want Blake and Tiffany to work together. Blake is the heel,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure where that leaves Chelsea. Backstage, Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 1>was confronted by Sammy Zain, who was very upset that
<v Speaker 1>he had to defend his title on Monday. He was
<v Speaker 1>very upset that he had to go to work on Monday.
<v Speaker 1>Pierce said that Sammy should be honored that he is
<v Speaker 1>defending on a great show such as Monday Night Raw,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe he would even invite some SmackDown stars to
<v Speaker 1>Chicago to make it a real super show. He left
<v Speaker 1>Samby was about to smack another water bottle when he
<v Speaker 1>spotted Johnny gargano planking. He smacked the water bottle anyway,
<v Speaker 1>went over to Johnny. He was so happy, happy to
<v Speaker 1>tell Johnny that he did it, he won the championship.
<v Speaker 1>And then he asked Candice Lay to take a selfie,
<v Speaker 1>although I guess if she's taking it, it's not really
<v Speaker 1>a selfie, but she he wanted her to take a
<v Speaker 1>photo of him and Johnny. I have to assume maybe
<v Speaker 1>I'm being naive here, maybe I'm giving them a little
<v Speaker 1>too much credit. I have to assume that they this
<v Speaker 1>is leading somewhere. They have something in mind for where
<v Speaker 1>this is going with Sammy and Johnny, gargano I said.
<v Speaker 1>Coming out of a night of champions on Saturday actually
<v Speaker 1>brought up gargano I said, well, where does that go? Right?
<v Speaker 1>It's a minor part of this character makeover that Sammy
<v Speaker 1>has gone through. Is Johnny finally going to wake up.
<v Speaker 1>Is he going to be a lackey for Sammy? Is
<v Speaker 1>that going to be the role for him? Usually Sammy
<v Speaker 1>would be the lackey. Maybe Samue'll have his own lackey.
<v Speaker 1>You'll be Johnny Gargano. Johnny Gargano was still planking. Nothing
<v Speaker 1>has changed. M He won the championship on Saturday, almost
<v Speaker 1>a week ago. Now, nothing has changed. Johnny Gargana was
<v Speaker 1>flying himself around the country and he is laying on
<v Speaker 1>top of boxes. I don't remember when this started. He
<v Speaker 1>has been doing this literally for months, and at first
<v Speaker 1>I can't even say, well, at first it was kind
<v Speaker 1>of funny, Like, no, it was never really all that funny.
<v Speaker 1>It was stupid when they started it. It's even dumber
<v Speaker 1>now because I never would have expected that fucking three
<v Speaker 1>or four months later we would still be doing this shit.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm not really sure. Is he like the mascot
<v Speaker 1>of SmackDown. I have to imagine that there is some
<v Speaker 1>sort of end goal here to him being buried in
<v Speaker 1>this way, because that's what's happening here. You know, What's
<v Speaker 1>the one thing that Johnny Gargana was really good at
<v Speaker 1>other than laying around, literally laying around every Week Wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>We saw it an NXT. We have yet to see
<v Speaker 1>that version of Jonny Gargano on the main roster. But
<v Speaker 1>I have to remind myself also, like all those great
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Gargano Black and Gold matches and this stuff with
<v Speaker 1>Shampa and everybody else he work with, it's almost a
<v Speaker 1>decade ago now, and I don't know that we're ever
<v Speaker 1>going to see that Johnny Gargano ever. Again. He's the
<v Speaker 1>thing with him is he has never been over on
<v Speaker 1>the main roster. Even as a fan of his work,
<v Speaker 1>I can sit here and tell you that it's always
<v Speaker 1>been a struggle for him when he's out there, either
<v Speaker 1>in a singles or a tag, to get any sort
<v Speaker 1>of real meaningful response from an audience. And maybe they
<v Speaker 1>looked at this and they thought, because of that, we
<v Speaker 1>have to go in a different way and this will
<v Speaker 1>be something entertaining and maybe he can get over in
<v Speaker 1>this kind of goofball, cornball type of way. But they're
<v Speaker 1>not doing anything. He's literally laying around doing nothing every
<v Speaker 1>single week, and I'm just like, what is the point
<v Speaker 1>of this. Months of this, months of this, I don't
<v Speaker 1>understand for this. It's just it's it's beyond ludicrous at
<v Speaker 1>this point, what is the point of this? Are they
<v Speaker 1>just running down the clock on his contract? Like I
<v Speaker 1>don't understand. We had Ray Phoenix defending his Triple A
<v Speaker 1>Cruiserweight Championship against the Triple A Latin American champion, Elijo
<v Speaker 1>del Vikingou. They are really in full push Triple A
<v Speaker 1>mode right now. We had a battle here between two
<v Speaker 1>champions from Triple AU. VI Kingo got the jobber entrance
<v Speaker 1>for this Phoenix. He missed a spin kick, but he
<v Speaker 1>caught the Kingo with the lethal injection for a two count.
<v Speaker 1>But Kingo's cell job on this, by the way, was tremendous.
<v Speaker 1>Phoenix went for a baseball slide, but he got trapped
<v Speaker 1>in the apron skirt by the Kingo, who caught him
<v Speaker 1>with a kick and then a springboard moon salt to
<v Speaker 1>the floor. That was ahead of the commercial break, so
<v Speaker 1>they took a break. They were gone for like four minutes.
<v Speaker 1>This was an eight minute match. VI Kingo later hit
<v Speaker 1>Phoenix with a very impressive six point thirty raana off
<v Speaker 1>the top only for two. They ended up on the
<v Speaker 1>top rope. VI king Goo dropped Phoenix with an avalanche
<v Speaker 1>poison Raana only for a near fall. VI Kingo then
<v Speaker 1>missed with the springboard four fifty that gave Phoenix the
<v Speaker 1>opening to hit the Mexican Musclebuster, and he was able
<v Speaker 1>to get the pin to retain the championship. Very much
<v Speaker 1>like the match that Phoenix had with Nathan Fraser, this
<v Speaker 1>was a fun sprint. It had more energy than just
<v Speaker 1>about everything else I would say on this show any
<v Speaker 1>given week. But they got eight minutes. They tried to
<v Speaker 1>make the most of the eight minutes that they were getting.
<v Speaker 1>To be honest with you, if this show was still
<v Speaker 1>three hours like it was last week, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they would have gotten much more than eight minutes. Even then,
<v Speaker 1>they got eight minutes. The problem is they took a
<v Speaker 1>commercial in the middle of the match, so really it
<v Speaker 1>was a four minute match, and they tried to pack
<v Speaker 1>what they could in four minutes. But what the fuck
<v Speaker 1>are you going to do in four minutes? What we got, though,
<v Speaker 1>I thought was fun, even though we missed half the match. Now,
<v Speaker 1>unfortunately the Kingo, who was the only Triple A star
<v Speaker 1>under contract to WWE, he went to NXT on Tuesday,
<v Speaker 1>and I believe he was supposed to be wrestling is
<v Speaker 1>it e K Prosper I believe his name is. He
<v Speaker 1>was supposed to wrestle on that show on Tuesday, and
<v Speaker 1>evidently I am left to assume that they were rehearsing spots.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think he was just walking on by. He
<v Speaker 1>probably was in the ring with him before the show.
<v Speaker 1>They were working out spots for their match. I would
<v Speaker 1>assume he got hurt. VI Kingo got hurt and he
<v Speaker 1>was not able to wrestle on Tuesday. That's why they
<v Speaker 1>shot that angle in the back where he was attacked
<v Speaker 1>I think by Keanu Carver, and that took him out
<v Speaker 1>of the match. He injured his knee and then he
<v Speaker 1>is still swollen pretty bad. I don't know if he's
<v Speaker 1>already undergone an MRI, if they're waiting for the swelling
<v Speaker 1>to go down and then he's gonna have an MRI.
<v Speaker 1>But the fact that he even needs an MRI on
<v Speaker 1>his knee is not good. There is some sort of injury.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully it's not too serious, even though it sounds serious.
<v Speaker 1>Uh so that's pretty fucking terrible, So all the best
<v Speaker 1>of it can go. I mean, he's had knee issues before,
<v Speaker 1>but this just sounds like a freak accident. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they were going over stuff before the show. They weren't
<v Speaker 1>even on the air, and he got hurt. That's what
<v Speaker 1>happens sometimes. Kathy Kelly interviewed Julia backstage about getting attacked
<v Speaker 1>by Blake Monroe after her win last week over a
<v Speaker 1>Keana James. Julia said that she doesn't back down from
<v Speaker 1>a fight. She said, if Blake stops being a coward,
<v Speaker 1>she'll fight her anytime, anywhere. So Keana James showed up,
<v Speaker 1>she did a little golf clap. She said that Julia
<v Speaker 1>only got lucky in their match. All of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>Blake Monroe she shows up out of nowhere and she
<v Speaker 1>attacks Julia from behind. She threw her heart into a
<v Speaker 1>nearby production case. And then Keana is trying to gloat
<v Speaker 1>on Julia like haha, except Blake then grabbed her and
<v Speaker 1>threw her into the equipment case and so both ladies
<v Speaker 1>were down and at that point Blake walked off. That
<v Speaker 1>was That was Blake Monroe's role on SmackDown tonight. So
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this is leading to it individual
<v Speaker 1>singles matches with Blake and Keana, Blake and Julia. If
<v Speaker 1>you're going to put all three of them in the
<v Speaker 1>ring together. I don't know. Obviously, we're going to get
<v Speaker 1>Julia in Blake at some point, maybe we get her
<v Speaker 1>and Keana. First, they recapped the Roman Reigns seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>segment that closed Raw on Monday night to set up
<v Speaker 1>their championship match at SummerSlam, and then it was to
<v Speaker 1>the live I put that in air quotes since this
<v Speaker 1>show was not live, but we'll pretend that it is
<v Speaker 1>with Jacob fa TWU and Jimmy Usso Jacob fa Tu
<v Speaker 1>stood there. He did not utter a single word on
<v Speaker 1>this show, but he was there. Jimmy said, the OTC
<v Speaker 1>calls the play, we gonna run it, right, I guess
<v Speaker 1>we picked up in the middle of their conversation. All
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden, Royce Key shows up and he sees Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>Now before Jacob left SmackDown to go to Raw. If
<v Speaker 1>you remember, we got a couple of segments in the
<v Speaker 1>back where they were all buddy buddy and they were
<v Speaker 1>talking about how they have history together and they go
<v Speaker 1>back a ways, right, they go back a long ways.
<v Speaker 1>They're both I think from the West Coast, and so
<v Speaker 1>Keys walks in, he sees Jacob and he said, let
<v Speaker 1>me guess. I guess Roman tells Jacob. Now, it was
<v Speaker 1>hard for me to understand what he was saying. Here.
<v Speaker 1>I think he said, Roman tells Jacob who's pot this is?
<v Speaker 1>Now they say pot he is a place? What does
<v Speaker 1>that even mean? I don't know, but he said that
<v Speaker 1>I don't know whose pot is this? I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>You tell me, Jimmy said, hold up. The OTC sent
<v Speaker 1>them on a mission to find Solo. Now, can you
<v Speaker 1>help us find him? Because if you can't, we're just
<v Speaker 1>going to handle our family business. He said. Family. Blood
<v Speaker 1>don't make you family. Loyalty makes you family. He told
<v Speaker 1>Jacob he's been his day one for the last fourteen years.
<v Speaker 1>He's been loyal to him, So guess what. As far
<v Speaker 1>as he's concerned, he is Jacob's family. Jimmy took his
<v Speaker 1>glasses off. He said, not no more right, Jacob off,
<v Speaker 1>goes Jimmy, and then Jacob followed suit. Two things here,
<v Speaker 1>Number one, I just realized that these two schmucks showed
<v Speaker 1>up on the show here on a mission to find
<v Speaker 1>Solo Socoa, and they apparently did fulfill their mission. We
<v Speaker 1>didn't see them again for the rest of the show.
<v Speaker 1>We didn't see Solo, we didn't see Jimmy again, we
<v Speaker 1>didn't see Jacob again. So them being on the show
<v Speaker 1>ended up being completely pointless other than them wanting to
<v Speaker 1>get this interaction that that was the real point of it,
<v Speaker 1>to get this interaction with Roy's Keys, and the reason being.
<v Speaker 1>I think what we're looking at for Summerslim is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a six man tag. I think what we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna get is the USOS teaming up with Jacob Fatu
<v Speaker 1>to take on Solo's Sukoa La Night and Royce Keys,
<v Speaker 1>the two men that Solo has been trying to recruit
<v Speaker 1>now for weeks, and they've turned him down every single time.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't have his MFTs anymore. Eventually, these two were
<v Speaker 1>gonna come around and we're gonna get a six man
<v Speaker 1>tag on that shows. That's what it feels like. This
<v Speaker 1>is all building too. It would be kind of funny though,
<v Speaker 1>if he finally convinces these guys to trust him and
<v Speaker 1>be partners with him, only for Solo to then turn
<v Speaker 1>on them and just side with Roman Reigns in the bloodline. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>that sounds like something that wwe would do. Next up,
<v Speaker 1>we got the United States champion Trick Williams out to
<v Speaker 1>the ring with Lil Yachty before they could say boo
<v Speaker 1>the former United States champion Trick Williams. He made his
<v Speaker 1>way out to the ring or Trick Williams. Carmelo Hayes
<v Speaker 1>made his way out to the ring to join them.
<v Speaker 1>Melo noted that Ricky Saines couldn't get the job done
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday and it was time to run things back
<v Speaker 1>with him and Trick pointed out that Trick won't answer him.
<v Speaker 1>He said, he'll give Trick his flowers. The title looks
<v Speaker 1>great on him and the crowd loves him, but that's
<v Speaker 1>only because Mello hasn't taken it from him yet. Melo
<v Speaker 1>said that he made the championship into a championship, Trick
<v Speaker 1>made the title into an accessory. He said that if
<v Speaker 1>Trick and Yachty want a title, he'll give them a
<v Speaker 1>discount code for a replica on WWE's shop. Mello said
<v Speaker 1>the US title is the workhorse. It's the match of
<v Speaker 1>the night title. Mello said Tricks out there like he's
<v Speaker 1>had too much to eat, so prove him wrong. Mello
<v Speaker 1>asked Trick to put the title on the line against
<v Speaker 1>somebody who knows him better than anybody. He said, Trick
<v Speaker 1>may walk the walk and talk to talk with them,
<v Speaker 1>but he has two left feet and a mouthful of
<v Speaker 1>marbles when he's in there with him. Not a bad
<v Speaker 1>promo here from Mellow. Not bad now, Yachti spoke, Yaty
<v Speaker 1>spoke more than Trick did. Here said the Trick has
<v Speaker 1>been nothing short of pure great and he's making a
<v Speaker 1>short joke now at Carmelo's expense, But Trick has been
<v Speaker 1>nothing short of pure greatness. Yady asked the crowd if
<v Speaker 1>they should give this young small man a match. They
<v Speaker 1>all chanted yes. Yati told Mellow don't blow a blood vessel.
<v Speaker 1>He said Mellow could have his match next week, but
<v Speaker 1>not for the title. Said titles are earned and not given.
<v Speaker 1>He's making the match so that he can get Trick
<v Speaker 1>his reps. And Yadi said that when things get tricky,
<v Speaker 1>Mellow will have no excuses as to why he can't
<v Speaker 1>get the job done. So Trick finally spoke for himself,
<v Speaker 1>and he said that he knows Mellow like the back
<v Speaker 1>of his hand, and then he backhanded him. He bitch
<v Speaker 1>slapped him, and down goes Carmelo. Hayes, Trick and YACHTI.
<v Speaker 1>They exited. They were dapping it up outside when Mello
<v Speaker 1>hit a flip dive out over the top rope on
<v Speaker 1>to Trick to take him out. So we are getting
<v Speaker 1>the match next week. It will be non titled between
<v Speaker 1>these two men, which is fine because I think ultimately
<v Speaker 1>you do the title match at SummerSlam. I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>they could always do it as Saturday Night's main event,
<v Speaker 1>but I think this is a Summer Slim match because
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, there's not enough time to really build
<v Speaker 1>up another program for Trick on that show. If he's
<v Speaker 1>going to defend, it's going to be against either Mello
<v Speaker 1>or Mellow and Ricky Saints. It's gonna be one of
<v Speaker 1>those two matches. I do have to say this. I
<v Speaker 1>want to pay a compliment here to Lil YACHTI because
<v Speaker 1>he came in around the time they were doing Celebrity
<v Speaker 1>Mania in this company, and we had Pat McAfee and
<v Speaker 1>we had Jelly Roll and it was like and then
<v Speaker 1>all of a sudden, Lil YACHTI is out there and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, this is just celebrity overload here, this is ridiculous.
<v Speaker 1>And Pat McAfee went away, Jelly Roll went away. Lil
<v Speaker 1>Yachti state he signed a deal to basically be full
<v Speaker 1>time for them. Now he is a full time manager
<v Speaker 1>in WWA. You'll notice tonight here on this show, maybe
<v Speaker 1>more than any other time that we've seen him so far,
<v Speaker 1>he did most of the talking for Trick. And it's
<v Speaker 1>not like Trick needs help on the mic, so he's
<v Speaker 1>out there doing the talking for him. Yachti does a
<v Speaker 1>really good job in this role. He knows what he
<v Speaker 1>needs to do when he's out there, he speaks on
<v Speaker 1>behalf of Trick. Is almost like he's his agent or something.
<v Speaker 1>He makes all the decisions, he signs the contract, he
<v Speaker 1>gets the deals done, and I think they make for
<v Speaker 1>a good combo. They're in a weird place right now,
<v Speaker 1>where like even here in this segment, they were kind
<v Speaker 1>of more heelish, and we've seen that a few times recently.
<v Speaker 1>The fans still love to chant you know, whoop that
<v Speaker 1>Trick when Trick comes out. He's still booked as a babyface.
<v Speaker 1>I would say, I wonder if they kind of shift
<v Speaker 1>back into more of the heel direction, Like how do
<v Speaker 1>the fans take to Carmelo Hayes if they're going to
<v Speaker 1>play this out, let's say, until summer slim. Are the
<v Speaker 1>fans going to be more behind mellow or are they
<v Speaker 1>going to be behind trick because they just think he's cool.
<v Speaker 1>That was the issue earlier this year. He was supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be a heel, and the fans just organically started
<v Speaker 1>cheering him because he was cool. He was the new
<v Speaker 1>face on the brand. He's super confident. He's coming out
<v Speaker 1>there with his you know, white fur coats and everything.
<v Speaker 1>He's got the catchy phrases when he's on the mic.
<v Speaker 1>But now it's like, Okay, there's got to be more
<v Speaker 1>to it than that. They added Yati to the act.
<v Speaker 1>Would it be better for them to trend more in
<v Speaker 1>the heel direction or should they just kind of stay
<v Speaker 1>the course and run the risk of kind of burning
<v Speaker 1>the act out because it almost kind of feels like
<v Speaker 1>it's already kind of burning itself out. This is where
<v Speaker 1>I say it's a little risky. You got to really
<v Speaker 1>be careful, I think, with where you go with this now,
<v Speaker 1>and you don't want to go too far into babyface
<v Speaker 1>territory because then he's not cool anymore. So I'm curious
<v Speaker 1>to see how this evolves in the weeks to come
<v Speaker 1>if he does take more of a heel approach, which
<v Speaker 1>I think might be the better way to go. You
<v Speaker 1>don't want to force anything, but just kind of naturally
<v Speaker 1>let it kind of run its course. So then it
<v Speaker 1>was backstage two dan Housen's lair with the Miz and
<v Speaker 1>Kit Wilson still shitting there. You know, they are sitting
<v Speaker 1>there looking very zombified and lobottomized, and it is entirely
<v Speaker 1>possible that they are shitting themselves. We just can't see it.
<v Speaker 1>They may well have, I mean, they were electrocuted, so
<v Speaker 1>they may well have lost all control of their bodily functions.
<v Speaker 1>They were sitting there lobottomized. Matt Cardona showed up. He
<v Speaker 1>told dan Housen he saw what happened on Raw with
<v Speaker 1>the judgment day, and Dan Housen told him not to worry.
<v Speaker 1>He got a match with the guy with the big
<v Speaker 1>head who always follows Dominic Mysterio around. They're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>a match on Saturday Night's main event at Madison Square Guarden.
<v Speaker 1>Cardona told them, Hey, if you need backup, I'm your guy.
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen told him, I just got off the phone
<v Speaker 1>with my backup, and Cardona questioned this because Dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>when he walked in was talking on one of these
<v Speaker 1>old timey the candlestick phones. It just from like the
<v Speaker 1>Abbott and Costello days, but the phone wasn't connected to anything,
<v Speaker 1>so he was wondering, are you sure about this? And
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen assured him this person is real. He's from
<v Speaker 1>New York, so he's going to take the train down there.
<v Speaker 1>He's going to explain the whole plan to him. So
<v Speaker 1>there you go. They did all but come out and
<v Speaker 1>tell you that Jalen Brunson is going to be Dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen's backup. It's Saturday Nights made it. It can't be
<v Speaker 1>anybody else. It can be nobody else. It has to
<v Speaker 1>be Jalen Brunson, who is going to be there and
<v Speaker 1>is going to be in Dan Housen's corner for this match.
<v Speaker 1>I am certain of this, So Dan hasn't told Cardona. Look,
<v Speaker 1>while I have you here, you can help finish this experiment.
<v Speaker 1>So he had him twist the knob and all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, his machine started smoking and malfunctioning. He said
<v Speaker 1>the judgment, they must have sabotaged his experiment. While mis
<v Speaker 1>and Wilson are sitting there in the background and they
<v Speaker 1>start shaking uncontrollably like something is going wrong here, So
<v Speaker 1>we have to stop here for a moment, and we
<v Speaker 1>have to keep score. For those keeping score, we have
<v Speaker 1>one mute person on this show every single week who
<v Speaker 1>just planks and lays there while his wife watches helplessly.
<v Speaker 1>And then we have a couple of dudes, one of
<v Speaker 1>whom I should point out as a former two time
<v Speaker 1>WWE champion and wrestle Mania headliner, who sits there every week,
<v Speaker 1>also mostly mute, but for the occasional grunt, because these
<v Speaker 1>two men were previously electrocuted weeks ago and never recover.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, the fact that miss is a two
<v Speaker 1>time WWE champion and wrestle Media headliner, I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to hear anybody ever complain about fucking Sammy Zay ever
<v Speaker 1>again the fuck out of here. But these two men
<v Speaker 1>are on the show every single week and they seem
<v Speaker 1>to be in some state of distress here, and nobody
<v Speaker 1>seems terribly concerned about this. Just for those keeping score,
<v Speaker 1>Then we had Bribella, Oh Joy Bribella against Laney Reid
<v Speaker 1>of fatal Influence somebody asked before about the goal. The
<v Speaker 1>goal is three hundred and fifty likes because the wheel.
<v Speaker 1>The wheel is not working tonight, so I set the goal.
<v Speaker 1>So the goal for be the booker is three fifty.
<v Speaker 1>We have a bonus goal going in the chat, which
<v Speaker 1>we're already halfway there. So there's the update for the
<v Speaker 1>people who were wondering. So we got Bribella. Where's my
<v Speaker 1>bre mode here? We got two of them earlier. Now
<v Speaker 1>Bribella shows up and it's silent Bribella against Laney Reid.
<v Speaker 1>Nearly thirty minutes had gone by since the last match
<v Speaker 1>on this show. We finally get a match and it's
<v Speaker 1>Bribella against Laney Reed. Laney got her chance to shine
<v Speaker 1>here a little bit for the first time in a
<v Speaker 1>singles situation. The match wasn't anything special. Bree got the
<v Speaker 1>yeslock applied fallon, Henley tried to get involved. Paige got
<v Speaker 1>into it with her and jac Jane on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>Bree tried to help, but all that did was put
<v Speaker 1>her in the path of a running knee strike by Lane,
<v Speaker 1>who got the pin and picked up the win. Best
<v Speaker 1>thing I can say about this is at least fatal
<v Speaker 1>influence actually got a win because whatever momentum that they
<v Speaker 1>had when they first arrived on the scene got stunted
<v Speaker 1>by back to back losses here to Page and to
<v Speaker 1>the combination of Page and Bribella in non title action.
<v Speaker 1>So finally, Fatal Influence gets one in the win column.
<v Speaker 1>And they have also announced that they are going to
<v Speaker 1>get their rematch. This time it will be for the
<v Speaker 1>Tag Team Championships at Saturday Nights Made Event on July eighteenth.
<v Speaker 1>It will be Paige and Bribella defending their titles against Fallon,
<v Speaker 1>Henley and Laney Reed. Now how we came to them
<v Speaker 1>getting a championship match, I don't know, because, as I said,
<v Speaker 1>the last time they were in the ring together at
<v Speaker 1>a tag match, the champions won in a non title match.
<v Speaker 1>And yet here we are, and they're gonna get a
<v Speaker 1>tag team title match and probably win the belts as
<v Speaker 1>they should on Saturday Night's main event. And here I
<v Speaker 1>thought that earlier in this show, I mean, Lil Yachtie
<v Speaker 1>told me that title matches are earned. Apparently he lied.
<v Speaker 1>Did he not just say that in the previous segment?
<v Speaker 1>Literally at the previous segment he said, tit titles or
<v Speaker 1>title shots? Are earned, they're not given away. Maybe it
<v Speaker 1>only applies to the US title that Trick is holding now.
<v Speaker 1>As far as j C. Jane is concerned, j C.
<v Speaker 1>Jane was rumored to have been Rhea Ripley's opponent either
<v Speaker 1>at Night of Champions had she now gotten hurt, or
<v Speaker 1>possibly SummerSlam. It is still possible that she could get
<v Speaker 1>a title match at SummerSlam. The fact that we still
<v Speaker 1>have not seen Rhea Ripley and there's been no word
<v Speaker 1>on her status is troubling. So we don't know what
<v Speaker 1>her status is going to be for SummerSlam. If there's
<v Speaker 1>even going to be a Women's Championship match on that show,
<v Speaker 1>we don't know. Jac Jane is in the conversation though,
<v Speaker 1>with somebody who could potentially be challenging for that title.
<v Speaker 1>If she is, then what they should be doing right
<v Speaker 1>now is putting her in the ring. It's more important,
<v Speaker 1>I think, to get her in the ring than Landy Reid,
<v Speaker 1>although I understand this was to push the tag title match,
<v Speaker 1>but if jac is possibly going to be involved in that,
<v Speaker 1>and you know we're now a month out from that,
<v Speaker 1>ple let's start getting her in the ring on this
<v Speaker 1>show and let her rack up some wins. We go backstage.
<v Speaker 1>Our Truth, one half of the Tag Team Champions, and
<v Speaker 1>Nathan Fraser are having a hotel gating contest as Damian
<v Speaker 1>Priest and Axiom look gone. Truth won and he offered
<v Speaker 1>Priest a dog. The war Raiders showed up the Triple
<v Speaker 1>A Tag Team Champions, and Eric wanted an answer to
<v Speaker 1>their challenge from last week when he said that they
<v Speaker 1>should wrestle Champions versus Champions title for title, So he
<v Speaker 1>wanted an answer. Ivar snatched Truth's hot dog away from
<v Speaker 1>him and he bit into it, and Truth told Priest,
<v Speaker 1>he just bit your wiener. Ivar then spat the food
<v Speaker 1>out and Truth said, you're supposed to swallow good lord.
<v Speaker 1>So Truth agreed to a hot dog eating contest with
<v Speaker 1>the tag team titles on the line. I mean you
<v Speaker 1>may as well. At this point the titles don't mean anything.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, shit, what the fuck right? I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>may as well do a hot dog eating contest, the
<v Speaker 1>fucking arm wrestling contest, the dick measuring contest. I mean
<v Speaker 1>you may as well. Can't get any of these titles,
<v Speaker 1>can't get any lower than they are already, Priest told Eric.
<v Speaker 1>He said, look all, this isn't here this week, so
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't know when, and it has to be on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>but we accept your challenge. So at some point we
<v Speaker 1>don't know when. It will be Champions against Champions, title
<v Speaker 1>for title. And if they actually have a decisive winner
<v Speaker 1>in this match, this is going to be so fucking terrible.
<v Speaker 1>This is such an awful fucking idea, just an awful, awful,
<v Speaker 1>terrible idea, because again, if we're going to have a
<v Speaker 1>decisive winner, and this is not a way to introduce
<v Speaker 1>some new team that's going to take them both out,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and we get a no contest or something,
<v Speaker 1>then it's going to be Damian Priest and Our Truth
<v Speaker 1>who are going to walk away the winners, and they're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have tag belts from SmackDown. They're going to have
<v Speaker 1>the Triple A tag belts all for what to get
<v Speaker 1>them on Triple A? Send them to Triple A anyway,
<v Speaker 1>you don't need tag team titles around their waist to
<v Speaker 1>send them to Triple A. Or send Damian Priest if
<v Speaker 1>you want to to Triple A. I'm sure Undertaker would
<v Speaker 1>love to do some booking for Damian Priest, but I'm
<v Speaker 1>looking at this, and I'm like, is this the only literally,
<v Speaker 1>the only reason why they put the belts on Eric
<v Speaker 1>and Ivar was to then transition them over to a
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown team. By the way, Joey Chestnutt going for his
<v Speaker 1>eighteenth championship tomorrow in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
<v Speaker 1>It is going to be ninety three degrees tomorrow, which
<v Speaker 1>is actually a cool down from what it was today.
<v Speaker 1>But it's gonna be ninety three degrees in New York
<v Speaker 1>City tomorrow. His goal is to eat at least seventy
<v Speaker 1>six hot dogs. He wants to eat more than seventy
<v Speaker 1>six hot dogs. If I ate three hot dogs on
<v Speaker 1>a ninety three degree day, I would just puke it
<v Speaker 1>all up. I cannot imagine. I cannot fathom stuffing seventy
<v Speaker 1>six hot dogs into my gullet under any conditions, let
<v Speaker 1>alone ninety three degrees outside. But somehow, every year this
<v Speaker 1>guy finds a way to do it. He's looking for
<v Speaker 1>his eighteenth championship. He's he's like fucking the Rick Flair
<v Speaker 1>of the Nathan Tot Dog Eating Contest. Hopefully he doesn't
<v Speaker 1>pull his out and do the helicopter with it after
<v Speaker 1>a break we got our second raw recap of the night,
<v Speaker 1>this time for the Obafemi brock Lesner stuff from Raw
<v Speaker 1>on Monday. In the back, Cody Rhodes was walking and
<v Speaker 1>he runs into Finn Balor. I uh, look there it
<v Speaker 1>is here. It is basic solo nomics. There you go.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you be man the champ, thank you for the five.
<v Speaker 1>He's walking, he bumps into Finn Balor. This always like
<v Speaker 1>amuses me because Finn Balor is just randomly standing around
<v Speaker 1>in the back. Finn Baler did not wrestle on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Finn Baller did not have a promo on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Finn Baller didn't do a damn thing on this show.
<v Speaker 1>I guess if you kind of just look at it
<v Speaker 1>from a cafe perspective, he's just randomly standing around backstage.
<v Speaker 1>And he's not only that, he's in his gear. So
<v Speaker 1>I guess that's why sometimes I say it's almost like
<v Speaker 1>a two K cut scene where you know you're in
<v Speaker 1>the back and people are just standing there. You have
<v Speaker 1>to decide which person you want to walk up to
<v Speaker 1>and engage in conversation with. I just imagine that Finn
<v Speaker 1>Balor shows up to work and you know, he gets
<v Speaker 1>all dressed and he's just standing around in the back
<v Speaker 1>with nothing to do. He's probably the happiest man in
<v Speaker 1>the world that Cody Rhads came over to talk to him,
<v Speaker 1>because otherwise he wouldn't have had anybody to talk to.
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhoads is getting ready to come out for his
<v Speaker 1>main event. He walks over to Balor and basically Balor
<v Speaker 1>said to him, you're the reason I came to smack Down,
<v Speaker 1>not just to wrestle you, but I wanted to wrestle
<v Speaker 1>you for the championship. So he told Cody go get
<v Speaker 1>your belt back, and Cody walked off. Toma Tonga shows
<v Speaker 1>up and he says to Finn, I was thinking about
<v Speaker 1>what you said last week or whenever. It was that
<v Speaker 1>they interacted in the back and they spoke with the elders.
<v Speaker 1>They got to go through the elders now, I guess
<v Speaker 1>to get permission to to do anything, I guess, you know,
<v Speaker 1>to feud with someone or wipe their ass or whatever
<v Speaker 1>it may be, they gotta go to the elders. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know who the elders are, well, I guess wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>the Rock be the elder at this point? Right off
<v Speaker 1>and Seeker are no longer there. Who would the elders be.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, if not the Rock, but anyway, maybe Tongalow,
<v Speaker 1>maybe Toangalo is the elder. But they went to the elders,
<v Speaker 1>and he was about to tell Finn what the elders said.
<v Speaker 1>But as he's saying this, Tallatga sneaks up from behind Balor.
<v Speaker 1>He ambushes him, holds him down like he's choking him
<v Speaker 1>on top of an equipment case, and tom A leans
<v Speaker 1>in and he tells him he's closing the book on
<v Speaker 1>his past, and that includes Balor. You know, outside of
<v Speaker 1>a passing comment here and there from Shinsky Nakamura when
<v Speaker 1>they were doing all these segments that ultimately really went
<v Speaker 1>nowhere with Nakamora and Talatanga, they may have done a
<v Speaker 1>TV match that nobody really remembers, but outside of like
<v Speaker 1>Knakamura and Taalatanga or Tama Tangka briefly interacting and kind
<v Speaker 1>of referencing their past in Japan, very very briefly and
<v Speaker 1>without any context whatsoever. Outside of that and a comment
<v Speaker 1>like this where they're alluding to Balor and Tama having
<v Speaker 1>a history together like in Japan, WWE has not bothered.
<v Speaker 1>They have not taken any measures whatsoever to educate their
<v Speaker 1>audience about the history, the real history here between these
<v Speaker 1>two men. They have not done a damn thing that Look,
<v Speaker 1>I understand they don't have access to the footage from
<v Speaker 1>New Japan if they wanted to show highlights from the
<v Speaker 1>Bullet Club days or of past you know, interactions between
<v Speaker 1>these two men. And frankly, even if they did have permission,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not convinced they would care enough to even go
<v Speaker 1>to New Japan and ask for permission to run anything.
<v Speaker 1>They think it's sufficient enough to just tell people about Japan.
<v Speaker 1>That's like the keyword for them. Just say Japan. We
<v Speaker 1>have history in Japan, and so in their minds people
<v Speaker 1>will fill in the blanks. Oh okay, they must have
<v Speaker 1>wrestled each other, or oh okay, they must have been
<v Speaker 1>partners or have been part of the same group, or
<v Speaker 1>they were in a tag team. Right, we don't know
<v Speaker 1>because WWW doesn't bother to tell you. They just sort
<v Speaker 1>of dance around it and they're like, oh, well, there's
<v Speaker 1>there's history here between these two men. And you're talking
<v Speaker 1>about an In terms of WWE fans who buy and
<v Speaker 1>large have no fucking idea what that history would be.
<v Speaker 1>They don't know what Bullet Club is. They don't know.
<v Speaker 1>They don't know, right, they don't know what they don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but they want to bring it up without actually telling you.
<v Speaker 1>I look at this, and maybe I'm aware of it, right,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm looking at this and I'm like, well, okay,
<v Speaker 1>I don't give a shit. Who cares. They're not doing
<v Speaker 1>anything to really get you excited about the fact that, oh,
<v Speaker 1>my goodness, there's history here between these two men. It's like,
<v Speaker 1>is that's supposed to impress me? Is that? Is that
<v Speaker 1>the level of storytelling that we have here where it's
<v Speaker 1>okay to just say, oh, these two have history. Don't
<v Speaker 1>worry about what that history look like, don't worry about
<v Speaker 1>what that actually means. Well, we're just telling you that
<v Speaker 1>they have history together, and so you should care. Why
<v Speaker 1>should I care? Who gives a shit? Who cares? They're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have a match next week? They announced that on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown next week, Finn Balor is going to wrestle Tomatonga.
<v Speaker 1>Who gives a shit? Who cares? Why should I care
<v Speaker 1>that these two men are gonna have a match on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown Last week? Because Tomataga has attacked him backstage and
<v Speaker 1>said the elders have sent him after finnbat What does
<v Speaker 1>that mean? What does that even mean? The bare minimum
<v Speaker 1>level of effort that they can put into this is
<v Speaker 1>what you can expect to get out of these people.
<v Speaker 1>When it comes to these mid card stories on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>they cannot even be But like even I mean even
<v Speaker 1>the Royce Keys and Jacob Fatu stuff, and in that situation,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not even sure what they would have to show us.
<v Speaker 1>They're just telling us that these two have been friends
<v Speaker 1>for fourteen years. I don't even know if that's true.
<v Speaker 1>But they're telling us that these two friends they go
<v Speaker 1>back aways and everything. It's like, we have the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>It's the same fucking story on the same show. It's
<v Speaker 1>the same story on the same show where they are
<v Speaker 1>telling us that these two people have history together and
<v Speaker 1>we're supposed to just look at that and filling the
<v Speaker 1>blanks ourselves with whatever that's supposed to mean. Royce Keys
<v Speaker 1>is showing up on this show and he's looking at
<v Speaker 1>Jacob and saying, you and I, you and I were
<v Speaker 1>like Thicke as thieves man fourteen years. That's family, right,
<v Speaker 1>blood is not family. It's about loyalty, and you're my family. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I'm taking his word for it. And so here now
<v Speaker 1>we have Tomatonga and Finn Balor, and then we have
<v Speaker 1>history too. Everything's such a big fucking secret on this show.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what they're doing is not working in
<v Speaker 1>terms of getting people excited. I'm sorry, it's not. I
<v Speaker 1>don't see anybody getting overly excited about any of this shit.
<v Speaker 1>They closed with Cody Rhodes against Jay Usso and number
<v Speaker 1>one contenders match for the WWE Championship, and again, some
<v Speaker 1>people actually were concerned that the match for SummerSlam might
<v Speaker 1>just be Cody Roads and Jay Usso. Are like, again,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just blown away by Look. Look, I was worried
<v Speaker 1>that we were gonna get jay Uso maybe against Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns or something. But give me a fucking break. They
<v Speaker 1>have a stadium to fill on back to back nights.
<v Speaker 1>Do you honestly believe they were gonna do Cody Roads
<v Speaker 1>against jay Ussotse? Do you do you believe you understand
<v Speaker 1>something right now? That SummerSlam last year? Not to be fair,
<v Speaker 1>they had John Cena on Night two, and so John
<v Speaker 1>Cena sold a lot of tickets for them last year,
<v Speaker 1>but they had between fifty and sixty thousand seats sold
<v Speaker 1>for SummerSlam last year both nights. I think the number
<v Speaker 1>they claimed for Night two is like sixty legitimately, though
<v Speaker 1>it was in that fifty thousand range. Right now, they're
<v Speaker 1>tracking at like twenty three thousand each night for SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>For one of the reasons why they wanted to do
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi and brock Lesnar and a hell in a Cell
<v Speaker 1>match on one of these shows Cody Roads and Jay Usso,
<v Speaker 1>I mean that was that was not going to cut.
<v Speaker 1>It's probably one of the reasons why Sammy's Ain may
<v Speaker 1>not end up in the main event a SummerSlam either.
<v Speaker 1>But it's not up or shut up time now. He
<v Speaker 1>got a month ago and they got a lot of
<v Speaker 1>tickets to sell. Although they'll make their money because the
<v Speaker 1>tickets are still very high. So even if they don't
<v Speaker 1>sell fifty thousand seats to SummerSlam this year, they're still
<v Speaker 1>going to make quite a lot of money. But Jay
<v Speaker 1>went for a superkick that was avoided though into a
<v Speaker 1>Crossroads attempt. Jay countered out of that, Cody got sent outside.
<v Speaker 1>Jay hit a suicide dive. So late in the match,
<v Speaker 1>Jay hit the USO splash. That wasn't enough though for
<v Speaker 1>the win. Neither was the Cody cutter that followed. There
<v Speaker 1>was a disaster kick attempt that was met by a
<v Speaker 1>superkick followed by a spear by Jay only for a two.
<v Speaker 1>Jay headed to the top. Cody rolled out of the way, though,
<v Speaker 1>and then hit Jay with a spear, followed by a Crossroads,
<v Speaker 1>which looked good too. It looked like he really spiked
<v Speaker 1>Jay with it on the landing that should have been it,
<v Speaker 1>like he hit his finisher. It looked good, and Jay
<v Speaker 1>still kicked out. This is one of those things where
<v Speaker 1>I think we're so conditioned in wrestling today where every
<v Speaker 1>finish has to be kicked out of that when I
<v Speaker 1>see something like this where Cody hits his finish and
<v Speaker 1>even Jay Usso has to kick out of it, I
<v Speaker 1>just sit here and I just shake my head, like,
<v Speaker 1>was it really necessary for Jay Usso to kick out
<v Speaker 1>of the Crossroads or could you not like hold off
<v Speaker 1>on the Crossroads until later in the match, Because we
<v Speaker 1>see Cody so many times, he's got to hit it
<v Speaker 1>fucking two three, four times before somebody finally goes down.
<v Speaker 1>Did we really need to waste a near fall on this,
<v Speaker 1>Jay Usso? Really? Cody headed to the top for what
<v Speaker 1>looked like his own version of it USO splash, Jay
<v Speaker 1>got the knees up. Both men struggled to their feet.
<v Speaker 1>They exchange strikes. Jay got a sleeper applied. Cody backed
<v Speaker 1>into the corner to break it, and then he hit
<v Speaker 1>Across Roads again and this time, thankfully, he was able
<v Speaker 1>to pick up the win. And so Cody Roads, to
<v Speaker 1>the surprise of absolutely nobody, is going to Chicago on
<v Speaker 1>Monday night. He will challenge Sammy's Ain and he will
<v Speaker 1>likely beat Sammy's Ain to win back the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 1>As far as this match, it was a very mid
<v Speaker 1>main event. This is, you know, exactly what you would
<v Speaker 1>expect it to be. It was ten minutes of Cody
<v Speaker 1>Roads and Jay Usso. They had exactly the kind of
<v Speaker 1>match you would expect Cody Rose and Jay Usso to have.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing special. Cody wins. Cody is going to run Monday Night.
<v Speaker 1>I can see Cody winning straight up. You know, if
<v Speaker 1>it's a matter of does somebody get involved, you know,
<v Speaker 1>what are they going to do the finish of this match?
<v Speaker 1>I really don't think we need to overthink this. I
<v Speaker 1>think that they're going to be in Chicago. I think
<v Speaker 1>there's been talk for a while now that you know
<v Speaker 1>CM punk is going to either come back on the show,
<v Speaker 1>or that he's been pushing and lobbying to make his
<v Speaker 1>return on that show, even though he's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a SmackDown star most likely when he does come back,
<v Speaker 1>which he should be, but it doesn't matter because he
<v Speaker 1>had Adam Pierce for Christ's sake in the Back to
<v Speaker 1>Night talking about, well, maybe we'll make it a super
<v Speaker 1>show on Monday, and we'll have talent from Raw and
<v Speaker 1>we'll have talent from Smackdowns. So see, it's okay now
<v Speaker 1>for CM punk to show up, even if he's going
<v Speaker 1>to be on SmackDown. I don't think we're looking at
<v Speaker 1>a situation where CM punk gets involved in this matter.
<v Speaker 1>Why would he get involved, Why would CM punk interfere
<v Speaker 1>in this match? It doesn't even make any sense. Cody
<v Speaker 1>Roads is going to go in there and probably beat
<v Speaker 1>sammy' z ain straight up, prove that Saturday was a fluke,
<v Speaker 1>and then we're going to hear cult of personality when
<v Speaker 1>the match is over and CM punk is going to
<v Speaker 1>come out. It's going to be the exact same thing
<v Speaker 1>that they did fifteen years ago in twenty eleven, when
<v Speaker 1>Punk beats Senif to win the WWE Championship, and he
<v Speaker 1>went away for all of like a week, but when
<v Speaker 1>he returned and he showed up on Raw, which I
<v Speaker 1>believe was the night that John Cena ended raymis STEREO's
<v Speaker 1>rain as WWE champion. After an hour, he beat him,
<v Speaker 1>he won the belt back, and then you heard for
<v Speaker 1>the first time, actually the first time in WWE, you
<v Speaker 1>heard Cult of Personality, and Punk walked out, and Punk
<v Speaker 1>came to the ring. He still had the belt. They
<v Speaker 1>had made a new one, and they both held up
<v Speaker 1>their belt. We're gonna get something similar on Monday. I
<v Speaker 1>think Cody beat Sammy. We hear the music and outcomes
<v Speaker 1>Punk and they set up what will likely be the
<v Speaker 1>main event for one of the two nights of Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slim this year, Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk and that is a match that I have
<v Speaker 1>wanted to see for some time. I think it's one
<v Speaker 1>of the biggest matches outside of Rock and Roman and
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Oba. It is one of the biggest match.
<v Speaker 1>It probably is the biggest match outside of those two
<v Speaker 1>were right alongside Roman and Oba. That they could do
<v Speaker 1>is Cody Roads against CM Punk. I want to see
<v Speaker 1>that match. If that is going to be the main
<v Speaker 1>event of Night one or Night two of Summer Slim,
<v Speaker 1>I think that's great. I think that's fine. To do
<v Speaker 1>so at the expense of sammys Ain one week basically
<v Speaker 1>roughly one week after winning the WWE Championship, that would
<v Speaker 1>be disappointing. I'm sure that would be upsetting, probably to
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people who even work there, who genuinely
<v Speaker 1>love Sammy'sey, They love working with him, They think the
<v Speaker 1>world of him and his in ring work, and so
<v Speaker 1>to see him get his moment the way that he
<v Speaker 1>has and then take it away from him a week
<v Speaker 1>later would be very shitty because I'm not convinced he'd
<v Speaker 1>be getting it back maybe. Ever, the reason that it
<v Speaker 1>would be disappointing, though, is also because I don't see
<v Speaker 1>another spot for him on the Summer Slim card. It
<v Speaker 1>is entirely possible that if Sammy's Ain loses the WWE
<v Speaker 1>title on Monday, he will not be at SummerSlam. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know what else he would be doing, or where
<v Speaker 1>else he would fit in on that card if not
<v Speaker 1>for the WWE title picture. So would he be involved
<v Speaker 1>in a match with the two of them, I think
<v Speaker 1>that's certainly a possibility. But I think the match that
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna want to do is Cody and Punk because
<v Speaker 1>that is a big attraction. That is an attraction that will
<v Speaker 1>help really sell tickets for SummerSlam. I can understand the
<v Speaker 1>desire to want to do that match, but if it happens,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be at the expense of Sammy's an
<v Speaker 1>unless you can sort of worm him in there somehow.
<v Speaker 1>I don't like what the future holds for him comes
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam if he loses that championship on Monday, and
<v Speaker 1>I think right now there's a very very real possibility
<v Speaker 1>that's exactly what's going to happen. So I'm glad he
<v Speaker 1>got his moment, and I knew it wasn't going to
<v Speaker 1>be a long run to begin with. But men, he
<v Speaker 1>may not thought that he may not even make it
<v Speaker 1>to Saturday Nights, may event let alone Summer Slam as
<v Speaker 1>a champion. That's pretty shitty. But Punk is coming back,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm expecting him to show up as a surprise
<v Speaker 1>at the very end of the show. Assuming they do
<v Speaker 1>that as the main event and they close the show
<v Speaker 1>with it, I expect him to walk out when that
<v Speaker 1>match is over and we get that big face to
<v Speaker 1>face and all right, buy your tickets. Now you got
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Seth on night one, you got Cody and Punk.
<v Speaker 1>On night two, you got Brock and Oba inside hell
<v Speaker 1>in a cell, Sorry Sammy. How long did Sammy hold
<v Speaker 1>the NXT Championship? Not very long, not very long at all.
<v Speaker 1>How long did he hold the NXT Championship? Three months?
<v Speaker 1>Two months? He wanted in December at our Evolution. I'm
<v Speaker 1>pretty sure he lost it to Kevin Owens in February.
<v Speaker 1>Two months. Yeah, I don't even know if he defended
<v Speaker 1>it against anybody other than the Kevin Owens. Yeah, that's
<v Speaker 1>the way it goes sometimes. But that's SmackDown. We got
<v Speaker 1>the first two hour show out of the way. It's
<v Speaker 1>two hours the rest of the way here until the
<v Speaker 1>end of the year before we have the return of
<v Speaker 1>the three hour Nightmare. So even though these shows are
<v Speaker 1>still largely not good, I will appreciate the fact that
<v Speaker 1>we have one hour less of SmackDown every week. This
<v Speaker 1>is good. This is a good thing. All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>go ahead and check out your superchats here because we
<v Speaker 1>got a bunch of them to go through. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>guys for hanging out with me here on the eve
<v Speaker 1>of July fourth, on a very hot day. I hope
<v Speaker 1>wherever you are you are staying cool. We are doing
<v Speaker 1>one round to be the Booker. By the way, the
<v Speaker 1>goal was three fifty. We were at four, which is great.
<v Speaker 1>And uh oh, we're nine out of ten. Look at that,
<v Speaker 1>nine out of ten on the bonus goal. We might
<v Speaker 1>do two rounds of be the Booker. We'll see. We'll
<v Speaker 1>see how that goes. Joseph Stewart, who is not with
<v Speaker 1>us on Wednesday, but he's with us here on Friday.
<v Speaker 1>What's going on, Joseph? Oh my goodness, it's six in
<v Speaker 1>the morning in Norway. G boujar Are you in Norway?
<v Speaker 1>You're in Norway? Wow? Six am. What's the weather like
<v Speaker 1>in Norway? I'll bet it's not ninety eight degrees like
<v Speaker 1>it was today. That's ninety eight fahrenheit. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>I have to remember we have a lot of international viewers.
<v Speaker 1>Some of them are in Celsius ninety eight fahrenheit. What
<v Speaker 1>would ninety eight fahrenheit be in Celsius, I don't know offhand. Gabriel,
<v Speaker 1>Boss Gabriel is the bows. He says after the Willow
<v Speaker 1>Nightingale Vignette from Collision, it is confirmed that Willow against
<v Speaker 1>Monette will be the match at all in and the
<v Speaker 1>outcome will be a mess, with neither woman affording to lose. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's not official, but I said this in
<v Speaker 1>my Dynamite review. I think Willow is returning in the
<v Speaker 1>Casino Gauntlet next Wednesday. I think she's gonna win it,
<v Speaker 1>and I think she's gonna beat Teckler for the Belt
<v Speaker 1>of Redemption, and I think she's going to defend against
<v Speaker 1>Monette at all In. But he says, you can't have
<v Speaker 1>Willow lose again a title after only one month, and
<v Speaker 1>Monette can't just keep coming short of the world title twice,
<v Speaker 1>wasting the owen. I agree on her wasting the owen twice.
<v Speaker 1>That would be a waste of the owen. And I
<v Speaker 1>am expecting Mercedes is going to get the championship at
<v Speaker 1>some point and probably a Wembley. But if you were
<v Speaker 1>to ask me, is there a better chance of Willow
<v Speaker 1>losing or Mercedes losing. I'm not convinced that Mercedes is
<v Speaker 1>gonna win the championship. I don't know what her long
<v Speaker 1>term plans are. Who's to say that this doesn't become
<v Speaker 1>her story, you know, where every time she challenges for
<v Speaker 1>that title she falls short. But the Owen thing, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you got a good point on the Owen thing. To
<v Speaker 1>have her win two years in a row, even though
<v Speaker 1>this year she was supposedly not even gonna be in
<v Speaker 1>the tournament, and that everything worked out the way it did,
<v Speaker 1>that was not the plan, so she would not have won.
<v Speaker 1>Willo probably would have won for the second time. But
<v Speaker 1>to have the same person win the Owen twice, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and then lose, that would be pretty lame. I don't
<v Speaker 1>disagree with you on that. This week's episode is sponsored

<v Speaker 1>com slash harmony. That's wis dot com slash Harmony Leo, Well,
<v Speaker 1>I guess I should be happy. On one hand, I
<v Speaker 1>was really convinced Keana was not going to be seen
<v Speaker 1>for a very long time after last week, because on
<v Speaker 1>the other hand, I don't really know how to feel
<v Speaker 1>about her booking still, and that's kind of where I'm
<v Speaker 1>at right now. And guess, given the booking in WWE,
<v Speaker 1>you have every right to not know how things are
<v Speaker 1>going to end up for Keana James because everything is
<v Speaker 1>just sort of all over the place right now. He says,
<v Speaker 1>Thank god for the Daredevil Born Again season three leaks.
<v Speaker 1>They have been cheering me up, which I've needed because
<v Speaker 1>WWE has been letting me down lately. Wasn't there some
<v Speaker 1>sort of Avengers endgame leak? What was it that leaked?
<v Speaker 1>Was it the script that leaked? Something leaked? It was
<v Speaker 1>like a major Hollywood leak recently. Everybody was freaking out
<v Speaker 1>about it. Broley says they hot shot of the Cody
<v Speaker 1>and Sammy title match because the US faces Belgium in
<v Speaker 1>the knockout stage in the World Cup at the same
<v Speaker 1>time as Raw. Yeah. I don't know if that's the
<v Speaker 1>reason why. I think they're timing it with the return
<v Speaker 1>of cmpunk. That's what I think. I think that has
<v Speaker 1>a hell of a lot more to do with why
<v Speaker 1>we're getting that match on Monday. Bossmo Jackson, what's going on? Brother?
<v Speaker 1>He says, what's up? My guy? Hope all as well.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's ain't as champion is quite refreshing, he says. I
<v Speaker 1>love it. Well, you can love it for a few
<v Speaker 1>more days. It may not be so refreshing after Monday night.
<v Speaker 1>You may not feel so refreshed anymore, says Top three
<v Speaker 1>most hated or disliked sitcoms. Oh, disliked sitcoms. I don't
<v Speaker 1>really have any because the sitcoms that I tried to
<v Speaker 1>watch and didn't like, I just I didn't stick with it.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't watch them, so I can't tell you how
<v Speaker 1>awful they really are there. I mean, there have been
<v Speaker 1>some sitcoms over the years that I've tried and I
<v Speaker 1>just never even gave them a chance because they just
<v Speaker 1>didn't appeal to me. It's a lot easier for me
<v Speaker 1>to tell you which sitcoms I liked, were loved, you know,
<v Speaker 1>or like what my favorite ones would be. I tell
<v Speaker 1>you right now. Seinfeld married with children, curb your enthusiasm,
<v Speaker 1>and I'll throw Golden Girls on there too. Golden Girl,
<v Speaker 1>don't make fun of me. Golden Girl's a great fucking show.
<v Speaker 1>I will fight anybody who denies that. That just tells
<v Speaker 1>me you've never watched. There you go, he says my
<v Speaker 1>Mount Rushmore of aw. Oh, he said, I thought you
<v Speaker 1>were gonna tell me what yours was. I think he
<v Speaker 1>means Mount Rushmore of aaw. I hate the Mount Rushmore question.
<v Speaker 1>Fuck Mount Rushmore. I would blow it up with dynamite
<v Speaker 1>if I could all these Mount Rushmore questions. I'll give you.
<v Speaker 1>I'll give you the w CW one, though, because the
<v Speaker 1>WW one for me is a lot easier. Sting Flair Hogan.
<v Speaker 1>I think Hogan has to be on there as important
<v Speaker 1>a piece of that company as he ended up becoming
<v Speaker 1>Sting Flair Hogan, and honestly, probably Goldberg. He was the
<v Speaker 1>one through White Hot Star that they ever made. It's
<v Speaker 1>odd to say on the fourth I would like to
<v Speaker 1>blow up Mount rut Well, if you got your seventy
<v Speaker 1>seventh email with Mount Rushmore questions or forty eight super
<v Speaker 1>chat with Matt Rushmore questions, you two would want to
<v Speaker 1>blow up Mount Rushmore. Uh, one eight seven Trapper Die
<v Speaker 1>does punk turn heel Monday and cost Cody the title?
<v Speaker 1>Or just come out after the match as the new
<v Speaker 1>He just comes out after the match. He's not getting
<v Speaker 1>involved in the match, has no reason to. He's not
<v Speaker 1>a heel shapey. It should be the usso's and Jacob
<v Speaker 1>against Solo, La and Keys at SummerSlam. That's exactly what
<v Speaker 1>I said her all rights, fuck a lot and great
<v Speaker 1>minds think alike. I think that's exactly what the match
<v Speaker 1>is going to be. Fuck that tree, Suck that tree.
<v Speaker 1>That's right, you tell them Death's sithe. Drew mackincock is
<v Speaker 1>back with us with the four ninety nine. My birthday
<v Speaker 1>is July fourth? Can I get a birthday shout out
<v Speaker 1>from the legend? Been a fan for ten years and
<v Speaker 1>we'll be a fan for ten more. Well, I guess
<v Speaker 1>I have to do the show now for another ten years.
<v Speaker 1>Now that you went and said that, do you realize
<v Speaker 1>that if I do the podcast for another ten years,
<v Speaker 1>I will be one year shy of thirty years doing
<v Speaker 1>the sound though. That's crazy, that's crazy, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>look a day over thirty, especially with this hat. Let's
<v Speaker 1>put a backpack on my back. I look like I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to college of all Drew A Happy birthday, Happy fourth,
<v Speaker 1>May the fourth be with you. I know it's not
<v Speaker 1>the right month to be saying that, but I hope
<v Speaker 1>you have a great birthday. A what a great day
<v Speaker 1>to celebrate it too. You're gonna have fireworks and shit
<v Speaker 1>going off. You could pretend that it's all for you.
<v Speaker 1>I hear it outside my window right now. We already
<v Speaker 1>have fireworks going off here. I don't know why anybody
<v Speaker 1>would want to be outside. Although I think it rained
<v Speaker 1>a few hours ago, so I think it. I think
<v Speaker 1>it broke the temperature. I think it's down to like
<v Speaker 1>only eighty now. Literally, up until like two or three
<v Speaker 1>hours ago, it was still like ninety three degrees outside,
<v Speaker 1>just sickening temjin Zepha is with us with a nine
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine. I look like a frat boy. What's that
<v Speaker 1>group in Evolve? I well, I guess they're an n
<v Speaker 1>XT now Brad Baylor and those guys, what's what's what's
<v Speaker 1>the name of that group? I could be part of
<v Speaker 1>that group. I could be part of that faction. Tempgen
<v Speaker 1>says saw Obsession last night. What a movie reminded me
<v Speaker 1>of a time my mom went to see The Exorcist
<v Speaker 1>when it came out. Would you consider Obsession to be
<v Speaker 1>this generation's version of the Exorcist. I can't say that
<v Speaker 1>because I of the Vanity Project. Thank you, Yes, I
<v Speaker 1>should be part of the Vanity Project. Yeah, I think
<v Speaker 1>they do. They have a similar group in a Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor. I believe it might be called the frat
<v Speaker 1>House now that I think about it. Yeah, I didn't.
<v Speaker 1>I was not old enough to go. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>I was here when it came out in movies. But
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see The Exorcist in a movie theater, so
<v Speaker 1>I can't vouch for what that experience was like seeing
<v Speaker 1>that movie in the theater. It may have been a
<v Speaker 1>similar kind of experience where people were just like shocked.
<v Speaker 1>I don't really have anything to compare it to. It's
<v Speaker 1>a very unique movie going experience. I kind of wish
<v Speaker 1>I would have gone to see it again in theaters,
<v Speaker 1>But the way these movie tickets are these days, it's
<v Speaker 1>so fucking expensive, and I have so many movies that
<v Speaker 1>I want to see this year, I couldn't. In my mind,
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, I can't justify paying for another ticket to
<v Speaker 1>go back to the theater just to see it amongst
<v Speaker 1>other people to get their react, Like, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>I'll wait until if I'm not concerned about like other
<v Speaker 1>people's reactions to the movie, I'll wait until it's out
<v Speaker 1>on digital. And you have these like YouTube movie reviewers
<v Speaker 1>that do reaction videos to movies they've never seen before,
<v Speaker 1>or they claim they've never seen before. If I'm so
<v Speaker 1>interested in people's reactions, I'll just watch those reaction video
<v Speaker 1>for free. We'll just do that, super Pony says. So
<v Speaker 1>they pretty much gave Sammy the title and said here
<v Speaker 1>you go, but we don't really mean it. That's what
<v Speaker 1>they think of one of the best wrestlers of his generation.
<v Speaker 1>Fucking assholes. Well, he hasn't lost the belt yet. I'm
<v Speaker 1>just saying I think he's going to lose it. I
<v Speaker 1>think he's on borrowed time, but he has not yet
<v Speaker 1>lost the championship. But you had look when they put
<v Speaker 1>the belt on him in the first place. You had
<v Speaker 1>to know that this is where it was going to
<v Speaker 1>end up. I said it the night he wanted I said,
<v Speaker 1>this is this wonderful moment for him and this character
<v Speaker 1>that he's kind of evolved over the past few months.
<v Speaker 1>This last real good guy stick. But he was never
<v Speaker 1>going to have it for an extended period of time.
<v Speaker 1>He was never going to be the guy on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>He was always going to be the guy right below
<v Speaker 1>the guy. That was never going to change. You could
<v Speaker 1>put all the belts, you could put all the belts
<v Speaker 1>on him, like that Triple H meme from many years
<v Speaker 1>ago where he's posing on the ropes. He's doing that
<v Speaker 1>pose and he's got like the Diva's belt is on him,
<v Speaker 1>and ever you could put all the gold on Sammy's am.
<v Speaker 1>He will never be the guy. He will never be
<v Speaker 1>that lead performer who's going to be headlining all the
<v Speaker 1>plees and maybe one or two and that's gonna be it.
<v Speaker 1>You know. The WrestleMania main event that he got that
<v Speaker 1>one year was a Night one tag team match, and
<v Speaker 1>that's about as good as it's going to get for
<v Speaker 1>him when it comes to WrestleMania. That's just how it is.
<v Speaker 1>But for him to even win the belt at all
<v Speaker 1>and get that moment was very cool. It was very
<v Speaker 1>for him. You could tell it meant a lot to him.
<v Speaker 1>But it's not a matter of well, let's just give
<v Speaker 1>it to him as like a participation trophy because he
<v Speaker 1>deserves it. It was like he has been consistently the
<v Speaker 1>most entertaining thing on SmackDown now for a few months,
<v Speaker 1>and so Cody can win and lose the belt another
<v Speaker 1>five times, it doesn't really matter. Why do we need
<v Speaker 1>the championship on Cody right now? Let's put it on
<v Speaker 1>Sammy and give things a little bit of a shakeup
<v Speaker 1>heading into summer, Slim, what's so wrong with that? You
<v Speaker 1>know what's so bad about that? But I don't think
<v Speaker 1>that you ever should have really been expecting for him
<v Speaker 1>to have it for very long. A week would be ridiculous,
<v Speaker 1>but at most maybe Summerslim. I never really expected him
<v Speaker 1>to hold it longer than that. Fast Eddie Happy fourth solo,
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to Dark Side of the Ring Season seven's reviews.
<v Speaker 1>Always a big fan of your reviews every season, Well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad you enjoy them. There was a clip that
<v Speaker 1>they posted on the YouTube channel, like a seven minute
<v Speaker 1>kind of teaser clip talking about Karen then Karen Angle
<v Speaker 1>meeting Jeff Jarrett and how they ended up in a
<v Speaker 1>relationship together in this misconception that she was still married
<v Speaker 1>to Kurt and she had an affair and that's how
<v Speaker 1>her and Jeff ended up together. But she sat down
<v Speaker 1>for an interview to set the record straight for the
<v Speaker 1>first time as she was talking about it. So that's
<v Speaker 1>going to be part of these initial TNA episodes that
<v Speaker 1>are going to be airing. The show is back on Tuesday,
<v Speaker 1>and I have every intention of watching them and reviewing
<v Speaker 1>them as I do every season. So I just got
<v Speaker 1>to figure out where I'm going to watch them because
<v Speaker 1>I do not have Vice TV. But we'll figure something out.
<v Speaker 1>We'll figure it out. Uh, super Pony says, how do
<v Speaker 1>these people book Cody like this and expect the fans
<v Speaker 1>not to turn on him? These people cannot book a
<v Speaker 1>face of the company babyface for shit. I mean, look
<v Speaker 1>at Roman. They got Roman going around and the fans
<v Speaker 1>are chanting no TC and they're you know, acknowledge me,
<v Speaker 1>and they go nuts and everything and the guy's a
<v Speaker 1>fucking heel up is down? Left is right? Nothing makes
<v Speaker 1>any sense anymore. But yes, they have done a very
<v Speaker 1>bad job over the years when it comes to booking
<v Speaker 1>a lot of their baby faces and really forcing it
<v Speaker 1>or staying with the pat hand for too long until
<v Speaker 1>people just sour on them Bosmo Jackson with the four
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine. Frankly, I'm sick of Cody. I'm burned out
<v Speaker 1>on him. It's always Cody all the time. I love Cody,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm tired of seeing him in the title programs.
<v Speaker 1>WWE is killing me. Yeah, I mean, look, I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't be opposed to keeping the belt on Sammy
<v Speaker 1>a little bit longer. But if the plan is to
<v Speaker 1>go with Cody and Punk at Summer Slam, I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>that's a big match to do. I can understand them
<v Speaker 1>wanting to do it. Our cook one. What sense does
<v Speaker 1>it make to have a SmackDown title match on Raw?
<v Speaker 1>It just goes to everything I was just saying. Where
<v Speaker 1>in WWE they don't sweat the small details. To them,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't matter. That's why we have guys going back
<v Speaker 1>and forth constantly between the two shows. There's no rules
<v Speaker 1>that they enforce. We just had a King of the
<v Speaker 1>Ring tournament where the winner was supposed to get a
<v Speaker 1>championship match of their choosing at Summer Slam, not a
<v Speaker 1>championship match of their choosing period, a championship match at
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam, And evidently they knew going into it that
<v Speaker 1>they wanted o But to win, but not give him
<v Speaker 1>the title match. They don't give a shit, they don't care,
<v Speaker 1>they don't care. Why Sometimes do we have a referee,
<v Speaker 1>a second referee run out because someone had their foot
<v Speaker 1>on the rope or someone cheated, and a second referee
<v Speaker 1>come out to tell the first referee, and the first
<v Speaker 1>referee goes ahead and continues the match or reverses the decision.
<v Speaker 1>But then other times, oh, the referee's decision is final. Well,
<v Speaker 1>which is it? Is the referee's decision final or not?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. It's it's just whatever's convenient for them
<v Speaker 1>in the moment. They don't give a shit, they don't care.
<v Speaker 1>To them, it doesn't affect their bottom line, so they
<v Speaker 1>can they can just pretty much do whatever they want. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>king of the bank. It's king of the bank. Now.
<v Speaker 1>The only difference is Oba can't like I don't think,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I shouldn't say, I don't know, but like
<v Speaker 1>Oba can't literally cash it in like any time he wants.
<v Speaker 1>But he'll be able to basically just go to the
<v Speaker 1>GM and say, you know what, I think I'm ready
<v Speaker 1>for that title match. Let's do it at Survivor Series.
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready, let's do it at the Rumble. I have
<v Speaker 1>expect them to just forget about it at this point
<v Speaker 1>and just have Oba win the Rumble and then he'll
<v Speaker 1>just go to WrestleMania anyway to challenge for the title.
<v Speaker 1>Brandon Proctor actually super Pony. Super Pony says Mike Ko
<v Speaker 1>versus Sammy prediction has come true now, or has to
<v Speaker 1>come true now, has to come true now. If that's
<v Speaker 1>not the match at Summer Slim, Sammy won't be on
<v Speaker 1>the show. There's nothing else for him to do. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I just I just said, like, if he loses that
<v Speaker 1>title on Monday, unless you keep him in that mix
<v Speaker 1>and do a triple threat, there is no other obvious
<v Speaker 1>role for him at Summer Slim. There's no other title
<v Speaker 1>for him to challenge for. And so if he's not
<v Speaker 1>in a title match, it would be a regular singles match.
<v Speaker 1>And what regular singles match would there even be for
<v Speaker 1>him on that show? What would that be? Now? Now,
<v Speaker 1>we had a segment and it may be inative of
<v Speaker 1>absolutely nothing. But when Chad Gable came back to Ron
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown after the Mask versus Mask match, the first time
<v Speaker 1>we saw him on TV was backstage at SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 1>the first person that he had a little face to
<v Speaker 1>face interaction with was Sammy's ain't They literally came face
<v Speaker 1>to face and it was very brief. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they revisit that they're on different brands though, so again,
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but that
<v Speaker 1>never stopped them from doing that before, so who knows. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if Chad's not wrestling for the Icy title,
<v Speaker 1>super Pony, I agree, I mean, what the fuck are
<v Speaker 1>we doing here? I half expected to be a multiman
<v Speaker 1>match at this point, so it wouldn't even just be
<v Speaker 1>Chad and Penta, which I think it should be just
<v Speaker 1>Chad and Penta, but they'll probably throw everybody in. Then
<v Speaker 1>they'll have Chad, they'll have Penta, they'll have Russev, they'll
<v Speaker 1>have Ethan Page, they'll have McDonough. Well, we'll just put
<v Speaker 1>Dragon Lee, We'll just put every buddy and the Raymistereo.
<v Speaker 1>Brandon says, we don't get enough learning tree these days.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks guys. In all seriousness, I hope Sammy is champion
<v Speaker 1>until Summer Slam, but I won't hold my breath at
<v Speaker 1>this point. Well that's good. I don't want you to
<v Speaker 1>because if you do, you'll probably die. Do not hold
<v Speaker 1>your breath when it comes to WWE booking. It is
<v Speaker 1>bad for your health. Venom Ktetsu with the twenty five
<v Speaker 1>happy Fourth of July weekend. My dude, hope the AC
<v Speaker 1>gets fixed sooner than later. I hope it fixes itself.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just kind of hoping that the compressor switched off
<v Speaker 1>because it was just so hot. I think they're built
<v Speaker 1>to maybe do that automatically if they overheat, or because
<v Speaker 1>I don't think these like these window and wall air conditioners,
<v Speaker 1>we're not talking about central air here, Like, I don't
<v Speaker 1>think these units were really designed for this kind of heat.
<v Speaker 1>I could be wrong, so I'm hoping that it's just
<v Speaker 1>kind of a temporary thing. I already paid four hundred
<v Speaker 1>and fifty bucks to fix it. It was either try
<v Speaker 1>to fix it for four point fifty or buy a
<v Speaker 1>new one for sixteen hundred dollars. That's how much it
<v Speaker 1>would it cost for the same one. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>it's the same exactly air conditioner. Those were my options.
<v Speaker 1>I said, I think we'll try to fix it. Let's
<v Speaker 1>do that. So on May nineteenth, they reinstalled it and
<v Speaker 1>it's worked fine ever since until today when it was
<v Speaker 1>one hundred degrees outside and then it stopped. Said, did
<v Speaker 1>you catch Stevie Richards and Peanuts Peanuts Show talking about
<v Speaker 1>how the Rains and Rollins promo felt more like a
<v Speaker 1>go home angle to a pay per view than a
<v Speaker 1>feud starter. Well, it's not really a it's not a
<v Speaker 1>feud starter. I mean, my god, they've been feuding off
<v Speaker 1>and on for years. I didn't look at it as
<v Speaker 1>a feud starter. I looked at it as, Okay, we're
<v Speaker 1>we're revisiting something that kind of was left open ended,
<v Speaker 1>and now it's time to end it. Rolin said it
<v Speaker 1>in his promo, this may be the last time, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they're they're closer to the end than the beginning. This
<v Speaker 1>may be their last time to dance together. So I
<v Speaker 1>didn't I didn't look at it as a feud starter.
<v Speaker 1>As far as it being more like a go home
<v Speaker 1>angle to a paper, I mean, I could see that,
<v Speaker 1>I could see where they would have felt that way,
<v Speaker 1>but it's it's definitely not a feud starter with these two.
<v Speaker 1>I've been feuding for fucking how many years now? Yes,
<v Speaker 1>sixteen hundred dollars for an ac I said, I said
<v Speaker 1>May nineteenth. I only said it once, though, I guess
<v Speaker 1>that's twice. No debt sith. I was thinking, what if
<v Speaker 1>MJF actually beats Omega next week? Then Kenny convinces MJF
<v Speaker 1>to give him one more shot than MJF agrees, but
<v Speaker 1>under one condition and says that Redemption, when I beat you,
<v Speaker 1>your career is finished. Yeah, I don't. I just don't
<v Speaker 1>like this idea that we're gonna do MJF and Kenny
<v Speaker 1>OMEGANX Wednesday and then we're just gonna run it back
<v Speaker 1>again at Redemption. I don't know why they're doing this.
<v Speaker 1>It's very weird. I don't know why they're doing this.
<v Speaker 1>We already saw it once this year, and so Redemption
<v Speaker 1>was the obvious place to do it in Montreal. So
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna do it on Wednesday and then probably run
<v Speaker 1>it back again, whether it's Kenny defending or MJF defending
<v Speaker 1>for a second time. It's like, why are you doing
<v Speaker 1>it twice in one month? Why would you do that?
<v Speaker 1>Just save it for the pay per view. I'm hoping
<v Speaker 1>after Wednesday it'll all make sense. Takeshta and Fletcher just
<v Speaker 1>being randomly announced for Beach Break next week. At least
<v Speaker 1>I can understand that because Takesha is about to go
<v Speaker 1>to Japan for an entire month. He's in the g one.
<v Speaker 1>He's not going to be at Redemption, so this is
<v Speaker 1>it for him. Probably gonna take the belt off of
<v Speaker 1>him and then when he comes back, he'll fight to
<v Speaker 1>get it back. That would be my guess, be Man
<v Speaker 1>the champ. I guess Corey for good that Samy's held
<v Speaker 1>other titles because he said that this is the first
<v Speaker 1>time he's been the hunted, like no one wanted the
<v Speaker 1>titles that he had before. Well, I mean to be fair,
<v Speaker 1>at the time he held the Intercontinental title, I think
<v Speaker 1>that well he had he had it three times, but
<v Speaker 1>like there were different points where he would have been
<v Speaker 1>the Intercommental champion where that championship really didn't mean much.
<v Speaker 1>But when he was the US champion last year doing
<v Speaker 1>the open Challenge stuff, that was everybody was fighting for
<v Speaker 1>that belt. Man, it was a pretty coveted belt. I
<v Speaker 1>would say, yeah, they kind of buried their other championships
<v Speaker 1>by saying that we got death Sithe with a bomb.
<v Speaker 1>Since WrestleMania forty three is in Saudi how much money
<v Speaker 1>do you think WWE is gonna throw at Steve Austin
<v Speaker 1>to do one more match, possibly with cmpunk. We can't
<v Speaker 1>rule out that possibility since they want that show loaded.
<v Speaker 1>If by some chance it happens, how would you book it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think you need to do much. It's the battle.
<v Speaker 1>Just let them battle in the lead up to the
<v Speaker 1>show on the mic and their promos basically just cutting
<v Speaker 1>promos on how one is better than the other. Punk's
<v Speaker 1>whole shtick is best in the world. Austin's thing is
<v Speaker 1>the best of all time. Some people look at him
<v Speaker 1>as the best of all time. Right, it's the best
<v Speaker 1>in the world against the best of all time. They
<v Speaker 1>could even brand it that way. For me, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>that ship sailed a long time ago, and Austin seems
<v Speaker 1>very content in retirement with his cats and his cars
<v Speaker 1>and on his ranch doing his thing. And you know,
<v Speaker 1>he got back in the ring at thirty eight against
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens, and I think that was a great sendoff
<v Speaker 1>in the same city where his career started. I think
<v Speaker 1>for the right money, anybody will come out of retirement
<v Speaker 1>and wrestle if you throw enough money at them. Can't
<v Speaker 1>tell you it's not absolutely positively gonna happen. No way.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it needs to be done. I think
<v Speaker 1>that ship it's like Undertaker and Sting. You just get
<v Speaker 1>to a point where there was a point in which
<v Speaker 1>maybe it still could have happened, but it was like
<v Speaker 1>it's it's over, like the time passed. You gotta let
<v Speaker 1>it go. It's not gonna be what it could have been.
<v Speaker 1>Randy Bobandy, thank you again for that fifty dollars bomb.
<v Speaker 1>Just showing love O message be Man the champ Boys.
<v Speaker 1>Saturday Night's main event seems like it's shaping up to
<v Speaker 1>be a weekly main event show. Sounds like a must miss.
<v Speaker 1>You mean you don't want to see Jalen Brunson in
<v Speaker 1>the co owner of Dan Housen, Saturday Night's main event
<v Speaker 1>is largely amiss now once they took it off NBC,
<v Speaker 1>it's like it killed their libido. They have no reason
<v Speaker 1>to perform anymore. They've lost all their mojo now that
<v Speaker 1>it's not on TV anymore. It's just they got to
<v Speaker 1>fulfill the Peacock contract. By doing these, they took away
<v Speaker 1>a lot of the retro elements. Some of them are
<v Speaker 1>still there. A lot of them are gone. They don't
<v Speaker 1>even bring Ventura in anymore. Whatever charm the show had
<v Speaker 1>is fucking gone. They have some other garbage theme now
<v Speaker 1>that they're using for it. They still have the microphone
<v Speaker 1>that they lower though from the ceiling, which actually will
<v Speaker 1>be appropriated this next show because that's the old Madison
<v Speaker 1>Square Garden microphone they used to lower for like Howard Finkel,
<v Speaker 1>and they're back at Madison Square Garden for this show.
<v Speaker 1>So I kind of feel like if there was ever
<v Speaker 1>a time to really emphasize those retro elements again, this
<v Speaker 1>is the show to do it. Ossi of Steele. Hypothetically,
<v Speaker 1>let's say we get Ria JC at SummerSlam. Do you
<v Speaker 1>belt j c Up? I say yes. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>she's been established enough yet. I don't mind them doing
<v Speaker 1>the match. I just I don't know that I feel
<v Speaker 1>like now is the right time, especially if they are
<v Speaker 1>going to do another Crown Jewel show let's say in October,
<v Speaker 1>I would think that they would want a bigger name
<v Speaker 1>in that match. I e Rea to wrestle whoever the
<v Speaker 1>raw champion would be, which by the way, could very
<v Speaker 1>well be Eo Sky. So you are potentially setting up
<v Speaker 1>a match for Crown Jewel where we get Ria in
<v Speaker 1>EO non title, but they have the story of Rhea's
<v Speaker 1>never been able to be d O and then she
<v Speaker 1>could finally go in there and be too right. So
<v Speaker 1>you have that story that you could tell. It's a
<v Speaker 1>lot more powerful than just j C. Jayne going in
<v Speaker 1>there as the SmackDown Women's Champion. So I mean, I'm
<v Speaker 1>all in on JC eventually winning the belt. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know that SummerSlam is the best time for it. I
<v Speaker 1>think you got to wait a little longer because they really,
<v Speaker 1>if you think about it, they really haven't done much
<v Speaker 1>with her. You know, she came in and I like
<v Speaker 1>the way that they debuted them, and then they've really
<v Speaker 1>cooled fatal influence down a lot since then. Reea is
<v Speaker 1>not even around right now because she's still trying to
<v Speaker 1>get better. If she gets healthy, we don't even know
<v Speaker 1>when she'll be back on TV. Can you imagine if
<v Speaker 1>Ria is not ready to come back until two weeks
<v Speaker 1>before SummerSlam. So she hasn't even been around, and now
<v Speaker 1>you're putting her in there against somebody who's unproven in
<v Speaker 1>that spot on SmackDown, who's still basically a new beet
<v Speaker 1>and hasn't even really racked up all that many wins
<v Speaker 1>on TV. Doesn't seem like the right time to me.
<v Speaker 1>MGM ballin with a nine nine, says Hope. Tony Soprano
<v Speaker 1>was included in the updates. His curb stump is more
<v Speaker 1>devastating than Robin. Now, you know what I should That's
<v Speaker 1>actually not a bad idea. I should put Tony Soprano
<v Speaker 1>and al Bundy him be the booker. We should put
<v Speaker 1>Tony Soprano in there. His curb stump was pretty devastating.
<v Speaker 1>He is not in there though. Nick Grossoa and Talatoga
<v Speaker 1>keep mentioning the elders. Maybe it's leading to Roman's bloodline
<v Speaker 1>against the elders. And oh my god, why in war
<v Speaker 1>Games later this year? Oh god, loll he should put lol.
<v Speaker 1>I was I thought you were being serious. I was
<v Speaker 1>about to throw you right out of here. Roman's blood
<v Speaker 1>line against the elders. Roman is the elder at this point.
<v Speaker 1>You look at Roman when he first came in, bright
<v Speaker 1>eyed and bushy tailed. You look at him now and
<v Speaker 1>he looks he looks like the elder now and some shit,
<v Speaker 1>Francis Loop newsflash, my world is on ring of Honor
<v Speaker 1>TV tonight. Ring of Honor does not have TV. They
<v Speaker 1>have a streaming show. Mayo World needs to be on
<v Speaker 1>Collision as she was this week, and she needs to
<v Speaker 1>be on Dynamite. That's where she needs to be. She'll
<v Speaker 1>be on Dynamite next week. As a matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>she's gonna be in that women's Gauntlet. I believe it's
<v Speaker 1>Athena and My World starting the Gauntlet at number one
<v Speaker 1>and number two. Devin from NJ two thousand. Why doesn't
<v Speaker 1>bron Breaker or Jacob Fatu have the same protective booking
<v Speaker 1>as Oba. Why is WWE allergic to pushing more than
<v Speaker 1>one person at a time to be their top star
<v Speaker 1>because they're focused on Oba being the top guy right now.
<v Speaker 1>You can only focus on one at a time. You
<v Speaker 1>also can't give everybody the Brock push or the Oba push.
<v Speaker 1>That is something that you really do want to say
<v Speaker 1>for someone special who you have more immediate, big plans for.
<v Speaker 1>Can't do that with everybody. And by the way, you
<v Speaker 1>can book people strong and protect them even if they're
<v Speaker 1>not getting the Obafemi push. There's different ways of like
<v Speaker 1>booking people strong, but beating Jacob faught to twice in
<v Speaker 1>the same month is not how you book somebody strong.
<v Speaker 1>Having bron Breaker lose his few to seth Rollins is
<v Speaker 1>not how you book someone strong super pony with a
<v Speaker 1>nine ninety nine. God forbid they let Sammy hold the
<v Speaker 1>belt until Summer Slim and drop it to Punk. That's
<v Speaker 1>too much to ask for. God for Big Cody sit
<v Speaker 1>out one major plee, because if that happens, the world
<v Speaker 1>will end. Cody's their guy. They're not leaving him off
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slim, and nobody should have expected that Cody was
<v Speaker 1>going to be anywhere other than the main event at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>It was always going to be in one of the
<v Speaker 1>two main events. Ron talks table top with a ten.
<v Speaker 1>Too busy watching great FIFA World Cup action and playing
<v Speaker 1>games to watch SmackDown. Felt like I missed nothing. You
<v Speaker 1>miss nothing. You missed absolutely nothing. That's why I'm here
<v Speaker 1>to fill you in death, Sithe says in horror, which
<v Speaker 1>is worse the killer or the monster slowly heading towards you,
<v Speaker 1>or them appearing out of nowhere to give you a
<v Speaker 1>big fat boo. I kind of feel like it's I mean,
<v Speaker 1>the jump scares. Of course, the jump scares can get
<v Speaker 1>to you. But I kind of feel like it's that
<v Speaker 1>moment where let's say the monster is kind of stalking
<v Speaker 1>towards you, or you see Jason Vorhees or Michael Myers
<v Speaker 1>and they're coming towards you, right that moment of dread.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like if I was in that position, that
<v Speaker 1>would be worse, the anticipation that I'm about to get killed,
<v Speaker 1>as opposed to just popping out of nowhere and just
<v Speaker 1>doing it. I feel like the first one would be worse.
<v Speaker 1>Nick Rosso with a nineteen ninety now one idea for
<v Speaker 1>the title match on Monday, Punk comes out for commentary,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy gets mad, provokes him, causing Punk to hit Zane
<v Speaker 1>in front of the referee, causing a d Q, which
<v Speaker 1>upsets Cody and he gets in Punk's face, and then
<v Speaker 1>we get a three way at Summer Slim, you could
<v Speaker 1>do that. Punk would have to come out at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the show as a surprise instead of saving
<v Speaker 1>him as a surprise for the very end of the show.
<v Speaker 1>You could do that. That would if you wanted to
<v Speaker 1>get to a triple thread, then there's no reason for
<v Speaker 1>really Sammy not to go in as the champion, so
<v Speaker 1>to keep the belt on him. You got to get creative.
<v Speaker 1>How do we do this, you know, in a way
<v Speaker 1>where we can get punk involved, and that would be
<v Speaker 1>one way of doing that. Sammy feels like the title
<v Speaker 1>is slipping away. He gets desperate and then you kind
<v Speaker 1>of go into what you just suggested you could do that.
<v Speaker 1>Death Side says, I watched Lake Placid for the first
<v Speaker 1>time in years, and I gotta say this is I
<v Speaker 1>gotta say this will always be the best crocodile horror movie.
<v Speaker 1>Rest in Peace. Betty White. Yeah, that little role she
<v Speaker 1>had in that movie. She was great, feeding the alligators,
<v Speaker 1>getting them all big and fat. HEJ. Slamp Brett was
<v Speaker 1>better looking, had better hair, a nicer smile, and did
<v Speaker 1>more charity work than O Cogan, Do you agree. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that he did more charity work than Hogan.
<v Speaker 1>Did a lot of make a Wish and charity stuff
<v Speaker 1>at the height of Hulkamania, So I can't I can't
<v Speaker 1>say that for sure. Was he better looking, That's not
<v Speaker 1>for me to say. Did he have better hair, absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>without a doubt. That site says John Cena went from
<v Speaker 1>Helena Sale twenty eleven to WrestleMania twenty nine a year
<v Speaker 1>and seven months without holding the top title. Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>went from Money in the Bank twenty sixteen to SummerSlam
<v Speaker 1>twenty eighteen, two years and two months without holding the
<v Speaker 1>top title. Yeah, and if Cody did the same, he
<v Speaker 1>would still be in a very good spot, right, But
<v Speaker 1>they keep this whole QB one nonsense. They always have
<v Speaker 1>him talking about QB one. QB one's got to be
<v Speaker 1>in the title hunk. QB one's got to have the belt.
<v Speaker 1>That's just their their philosophy, it's their way of doing things.
<v Speaker 1>If Cody went six months without the championship, would it
<v Speaker 1>really hurt him all that much? No? I actually feel
<v Speaker 1>like it might help him. But it's almost like they're
<v Speaker 1>not incapable because they did it with Punk and Drew.
<v Speaker 1>But like it's hard for them to book a really
<v Speaker 1>good feud that isn't based around the championship. But we
<v Speaker 1>see this a lot in the mid card. We see
<v Speaker 1>this a lot with the women if there's no title involved.
<v Speaker 1>They don't know how to book a real feud, a
<v Speaker 1>real feud that you can invest in. They just don't
<v Speaker 1>know how. And it shouldn't be that hard. You just
<v Speaker 1>got to come up with a story that can really
<v Speaker 1>grab people. It doesn't always have to involve the championship,
<v Speaker 1>but they do a very poor job of doing that.
<v Speaker 1>Death Side says, So Cody Rhodes is not going to
<v Speaker 1>crumble to dust if he went the same amount of
<v Speaker 1>time without holding the top title. No, he will not.
<v Speaker 1>He will not crumble into sta dust. See what I
<v Speaker 1>did there? He also says, I mentioned Steve Austin earlier,
<v Speaker 1>but I also have to mention the Rock which is
<v Speaker 1>more like? Which is more likely? And if he ends
<v Speaker 1>up having a match of WrestleMania of forty three, who
<v Speaker 1>would you rather see him wrestle the most? Roman or Cody?
<v Speaker 1>I would rather have him wrestle Roman, just so people
<v Speaker 1>shut up about it already. Just give him their damn
<v Speaker 1>match that they'll fucking shut up about this Rock and
<v Speaker 1>Roman nonsense. Just get it over with. I also say Roman,
<v Speaker 1>because then it doesn't have to involve the championship. If
<v Speaker 1>Cody is involved, chances are Cody will be the champion.
<v Speaker 1>And EJ. Slimp, What do you know about Joe McHugh,
<v Speaker 1>the WWWF Allentown ring announcer. I kind of like him.
<v Speaker 1>Why was Allentown used for so many tapings? It seems random.
<v Speaker 1>I think they must have had some sort of deal
<v Speaker 1>with the building. And they also, I mean, they were
<v Speaker 1>running a lot of East Coast places back then, so
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't just Allantown. They ran White Planes and you know, Boston,
<v Speaker 1>but they would do these marathon TV tapings in Allentown,
<v Speaker 1>so it was something about it was something about that venue.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know too much about Joe McHugh, honestly, I
<v Speaker 1>can't really. I don't really remember much about him, and
<v Speaker 1>I can't tell you too much about him. He stumped
<v Speaker 1>me on that. I may have to look more into
<v Speaker 1>his work. And if you worked for any other promotions,
<v Speaker 1>all right, Well, the like skull was smashed and the
<v Speaker 1>bonus goal was smashed, which is awesome because that means
<v Speaker 1>we get two rounds of be the booker, just like
<v Speaker 1>we did the other night. What a great way to
<v Speaker 1>ring in the fourth of July. Let's do it, ladies
<v Speaker 1>and gentlemen, it is now time to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Let's do it. And we still got a thousand people
<v Speaker 1>in here to join us for it. Have I seen
<v Speaker 1>the comedy horror twenty fifteen slasher movie The Final Girls?
<v Speaker 1>I have not never heard of it. All right, here
<v Speaker 1>we go be the booker tag team action going on. Here.
<v Speaker 1>We're booking our own Saturday night's main event, That's what
<v Speaker 1>we're doing. And we have got the Mean Street Posse,
<v Speaker 1>Peak Gas, we got Rodney, and we got the fuck
<v Speaker 1>is his name? Joey Abs? There you go. I'm staring
<v Speaker 1>at his face and I'm like, the name is escaping me.
<v Speaker 1>The Mean Street Posse. I enjoyed the Mean Street Posse.
<v Speaker 1>What a great gimmick. And the Mean Street Posse is
<v Speaker 1>gonna get their asses handed to them by the Midnight Express,
<v Speaker 1>Sweet stand Lane and beautiful Bobby. I can't bring myself
<v Speaker 1>to buzz the Midnight Express. If I do, Cordnet may
<v Speaker 1>come after me from the mean streets of Greenwich, Connecticut.
<v Speaker 1>All right, women's be the booker now, good squash you
<v Speaker 1>mean the Midnight Express is gonna get squashed. We have
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch. Where's Becky Lynch been? Becky Lynch is on
<v Speaker 1>all these posters, and Becky Lynch is nowhere to be found.
<v Speaker 1>Is Becky Lynch even gonna have a match at Summer Slim?
<v Speaker 1>We don't know. Becky Lynch against two ooh, Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 1>against Techla. See, now that's one of those inter promotional
<v Speaker 1>matches that that would be very cool to see Becky
<v Speaker 1>Lynch cutting promos on Techla tech TECHL. I feel like
<v Speaker 1>we're just trounce her and Becky can be a good promo,
<v Speaker 1>but Becky's gonna go into the hole. You know, I'm
<v Speaker 1>not the only one saying. You don't have to take
<v Speaker 1>my word for it. Sports Illustrated said it the bleacher
<v Speaker 1>and Tecla would just be like, shot the fuck, like
<v Speaker 1>she would just start cussing up a storm. Shut off,
<v Speaker 1>you bitch when I'm speaking, that is that's a forbidden
<v Speaker 1>door match. We just booked more of a forbidden door
<v Speaker 1>match than we got frankly on most of the actual
<v Speaker 1>forbidden door card this year. That is a forbidden door
<v Speaker 1>match that people would like to see. And our first
<v Speaker 1>of two main events tonight, let's see what we're dealing
<v Speaker 1>with here. We have the viper Randy Orton, who totally
<v Speaker 1>is not injured, and Dave Meltzer doesn't know what he's
<v Speaker 1>talking about. Even though Randy Orton, when he responded to
<v Speaker 1>those reports, if you paid any attention to it, never
<v Speaker 1>actually refuted anything that Dave Meltzer said that kind of
<v Speaker 1>got lost in the conversation there, and it just so
<v Speaker 1>happens that Randy Orton is still nowhere to be found
<v Speaker 1>after punt kicking Cody Roads in the head at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>But that totally has nothing to do with any kind
<v Speaker 1>of injury. I'm sure sure. Well, guess what, Randy, you
<v Speaker 1>may be hurt, but you have to come back to work.
<v Speaker 1>So I am forcing him back into the ring and
<v Speaker 1>in this main event he is going to be taking
<v Speaker 1>on Tired Mike Tyson. That you may ask yourself, why
<v Speaker 1>would I give that a bell? Because it's Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>against Mike Tyson. Even if it's tired Mike Tyson and
<v Speaker 1>not iron Mike Tyson. That's a match that'll sell some tickets. Ah,
<v Speaker 1>interesting card. Becky Lynch against Tekla is my favorite of
<v Speaker 1>the bunch, but that is a that's a weird card.
<v Speaker 1>It's about to get weirder though, because now we have
<v Speaker 1>to pick some stipulations. It's about to get very wild
<v Speaker 1>in here be the Booker. Not Wednesday, but it was
<v Speaker 1>either Monday or maybe it was last Friday. Got very hardcore.
<v Speaker 1>We had hardcore, we had Monster's Ball, we had all
<v Speaker 1>kinds of just fucked up stipulations, So I am kind
<v Speaker 1>of curious what we're gonna end up with here. We're
<v Speaker 1>going to start with a casket match, and the problem
<v Speaker 1>is I can't do a tag team casket match. It
<v Speaker 1>just doesn't really work. So we're gonna start with the ladies.
<v Speaker 1>This time. We're gonna have a women's casket match. How
<v Speaker 1>does that sound? It was the Monday stream, Thank you, Ricky.
<v Speaker 1>It was the Monday stream. We have Camille. Very appropriate
<v Speaker 1>that Camille would be in a casket match, considering how
<v Speaker 1>she has been buried in aw She has been buried
<v Speaker 1>so deep we don't even know where she is anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Her career belongs in a casket, so it's quite appropriate
<v Speaker 1>that she would end up in this match. Let us
<v Speaker 1>find out who her opponent is going to be. Is
<v Speaker 1>going to be Camille against China, And you know, that
<v Speaker 1>is a very interesting match because Camille's whole gimmick for
<v Speaker 1>years when she was in the NWA was basically honestly
<v Speaker 1>Nickol whatever the faction that nick all this had, it
<v Speaker 1>was basically their version of China. She never spoke. She
<v Speaker 1>was like the enforcer of the crew. A lot of
<v Speaker 1>similarities between China and Camille from the early days of
<v Speaker 1>that Camille character. I kind of liked that. Nope, HITCHI
<v Speaker 1>trigger finger. I may have just jinxed it. I thought
<v Speaker 1>we're headed for a double sweep, and I jumped the gun,
<v Speaker 1>and now I feel like I may have drink it.
<v Speaker 1>We're doing well so far, though, we got the first one.
<v Speaker 1>Now we're gonna have ourselves a barroom brawl. But not
<v Speaker 1>just any barroom brawl. We're gonna have a tag team
<v Speaker 1>barroom brawl, because that's the next match here, a tag
<v Speaker 1>team barroom brawl with Randy Orton. Man. Let me tell you,
<v Speaker 1>this guy's back is in bad shape. I forced him
<v Speaker 1>back into the ring against Mike Tyson of all people.
<v Speaker 1>He's still recovering, and I'm like, get back to work.
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna earn that contract. So now he's in a
<v Speaker 1>tag team match and it's a barroom brawl of all things,
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton an edge. I'm trying to end this man's career. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I'm definitely gonna end this man's career against the macho man,
<v Speaker 1>Randy Savage and the ultimate Warrior, the ultimate maniacs See.
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine I see Randy Savage is somebody who
<v Speaker 1>I could see as having a few barroom brawls back
<v Speaker 1>in his day. The ultimate Warrior, I can't envision that.
<v Speaker 1>I can't even envision the Warrior just kind of hanging
<v Speaker 1>out at the bar like with the boys and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I just he feels more of like
<v Speaker 1>a loaner to me, based on all the stories that
<v Speaker 1>people have told, young Randy Orton would probably just tear
<v Speaker 1>up the bar and incur thousands of dollars in damage.
<v Speaker 1>We're two for two so far. We may well be
<v Speaker 1>heading or the rare double sweep doesn't happen very often.
<v Speaker 1>Kind of match what we're gonna have. We're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>a lions Den match. We're gonna enter the lions Den
<v Speaker 1>and then we're gonna be reading the final superchats. So
<v Speaker 1>if you have any messages to send, get them on in.
<v Speaker 1>I'm here with you for as long as we got messages.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna leave anyone and no man left behind. All right,
<v Speaker 1>who's going into the lions Then it all comes down
<v Speaker 1>to this. We have the tribal chief. Everyone put your
<v Speaker 1>fingers in the air. It is Roman reigns for the
<v Speaker 1>first time in his career is going to enter the Lions.
<v Speaker 1>Then this is already a major main event here, Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton against Dave Bautista. Well, we did it, we got
<v Speaker 1>the double sweep, we pulled it off. How are we
<v Speaker 1>feeling about that main event? By the way, Randy Orton?
<v Speaker 1>Not Randy Orton. Roman reigns against the Dave Batista in
<v Speaker 1>a Lions then match who wins? Who wins the Lions?
<v Speaker 1>Then that's the question. Drats the destroyer. Roman ain't beaten
<v Speaker 1>the animal Dave Dras will kill a Roman. Wow. Roman
<v Speaker 1>doesn't get a lot of votes here for this. Cameron
<v Speaker 1>Spencer four ninety nine. Sanity is the goat stable of NXT,
<v Speaker 1>slightly ahead of the Undisputed era. I'm a huge fan.
<v Speaker 1>Talk about what Sanity meant to you and how they
<v Speaker 1>entertained you weekly. I would if they actually entertained me weekly,
<v Speaker 1>which they did not. I did not like Sanity. I
<v Speaker 1>was not a Sanity fan. I I just wasn't a fan.
<v Speaker 1>Got nothing against them. I think they were definitely screwed
<v Speaker 1>over on the main roster. They were never really even
<v Speaker 1>given a chance. They deserve that much, but I never
<v Speaker 1>really I can't even say I hated them, but I
<v Speaker 1>just I was not. I was not a big Sanity fan.
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad you were, though, I just I can't. I
<v Speaker 1>can't say the same. Eric Newton celebrating two months of
<v Speaker 1>channel membership. When is the time for Triple H to
<v Speaker 1>be fired? His booking is no better than Vince and
<v Speaker 1>I'm really tired of the bloodline and the same shit
<v Speaker 1>week after week. I think they're off their business peak.
<v Speaker 1>They already peaked business wise, they already peaked. Ticket sales
<v Speaker 1>are down. They're still very strong, but they're down, and
<v Speaker 1>so it depends on how much further they decline. Right now,
<v Speaker 1>I think his job is safe. If business really starts
<v Speaker 1>to take more of a downturn, I feel like he
<v Speaker 1>will be in the hot seat. You know, he, more
<v Speaker 1>than Nick Con for example, would be the one to
<v Speaker 1>fall first if anybody was going to fall, and he's not. Really,
<v Speaker 1>He's not anywhere close to that right now. I can't
<v Speaker 1>say that it won't happen at some point. This is
<v Speaker 1>not a family owned business anymore. T KO runs the
<v Speaker 1>show and Triple H is not grandfathered in there. If
<v Speaker 1>they become dissatisfied with the job, he's doing. If the
<v Speaker 1>numbers aren't reflecting the performance that they're looking for, he
<v Speaker 1>may be out of a job at some point, but
<v Speaker 1>the idea that he is going to be gone anytime soon. Look,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying that the booking right now is not
<v Speaker 1>very dull, boring, paint by numbers, over reliance on the bloodline,
<v Speaker 1>all those things. Check check check, you're you're right about
<v Speaker 1>all that stuff. What's it going to take though, It's
<v Speaker 1>just going to take. It's going to take the numbers
<v Speaker 1>going down right now. The numbers aren't going down enough
<v Speaker 1>for them to make any kind of move. Uh, super pony.
<v Speaker 1>Why would they have Randy punt Cody if they knew
<v Speaker 1>he was hurt and would be going away for a while.
<v Speaker 1>Do they not think before they do stuff? Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why they did that. Maybe they just didn't
<v Speaker 1>know It's entirely possible they didn't know that his Let's
<v Speaker 1>assume there is a back injury. It's possible they didn't
<v Speaker 1>know how severe it was, so they wanted to kind
<v Speaker 1>of keep the program alive by doing that. I saw
<v Speaker 1>the punk kick and I said, Okay, well, Cody's got
<v Speaker 1>to be off TV for a little bit and then
<v Speaker 1>he wasn't, so even like right away, they basically just
<v Speaker 1>disregarded the entire thing and Cody, Cody had a black eye,
<v Speaker 1>but it wasn't, and they tried to make it like
<v Speaker 1>it was from the punt kick. It wasn't. It was
<v Speaker 1>from an errant punch that Orton had thrown at him.
<v Speaker 1>They credited it to the punt kick, so it kind
<v Speaker 1>of all worked out, but they basically ignored it, you know,
<v Speaker 1>having Cody come back as if nothing really had happened,
<v Speaker 1>and yeah, Orton hasn't even been mentioned since, so what
<v Speaker 1>sense did it make. That's the only thing I could
<v Speaker 1>think of is that they didn't realize that the injury,
<v Speaker 1>if he has let's say a back injury, was as
<v Speaker 1>severe as it was that he would have to be
<v Speaker 1>out for an extended period of time. The punk kick
<v Speaker 1>is like the tonguan death grip. Now it's useless. I look,
<v Speaker 1>I still laugh about that, Like they work their asses
<v Speaker 1>off to get that tongue in death grip over as
<v Speaker 1>like this lethal maneuver, and to this day, I don't
<v Speaker 1>believe Jacob Fatu has won a single match with the
<v Speaker 1>tongue in death grip. But You're also dealing with a
<v Speaker 1>company that doesn't think wins and losses matter anymore. So
<v Speaker 1>that's kind of what happens. Uh. Don Stony Esquire shout
<v Speaker 1>out to Don Tony Wrestling Soup and Spitball Media and
<v Speaker 1>as always, rip Kevin Castle, Cheers, Don Stony, Absolutely happy
<v Speaker 1>fourth Sean Dee twenty nine months of channel membership. You
<v Speaker 1>might as well add Randy the ram to macho man
<v Speaker 1>Randy versus Randy. I should put Randy the ram and
<v Speaker 1>be the booker, now that I think about it, Actually
<v Speaker 1>that's not a bad idea. Maybe I will. Maybe I'll
<v Speaker 1>put Randy the ram from the wrestler and be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>What do you think? Gotta give him the uh, gotta
<v Speaker 1>give him the ram, Jam Navy forty one eighty one.
<v Speaker 1>Buy or sell Jeff Jarrett putting Beetlejuice in the figure
<v Speaker 1>four leglock or Scott Steiner putting Beetlejuice in the Steiner recliner.
<v Speaker 1>Neither neither. I'm gonna buy on Jeff Jarrett smashing a
<v Speaker 1>guitar over Beetlejuice's head. Beetlejuice used to be about three
<v Speaker 1>foot eleven, and then after Jeff smash him in the
<v Speaker 1>head with the guitar. He was about three foot four.
<v Speaker 1>E J. Slimp. Speaking of Batista, how many times have
<v Speaker 1>you been asked that infamous you shoot Batista question via
<v Speaker 1>email or on social media? Zero zero? Because I don't
<v Speaker 1>have a good answer for you. I'm not clued in
<v Speaker 1>on the answer to that question, nor do I care
<v Speaker 1>to be. I'm the wrong person to be asking about that.
<v Speaker 1>But it's a funny. I'm pretty sure it was a
<v Speaker 1>you shoot. And I mean there have been some great
<v Speaker 1>there have been some great you shoot moments in history,
<v Speaker 1>but still my my all time favorite one, my my
<v Speaker 1>all time favorite you shoot moment, UH was when Al
<v Speaker 1>Snow was on and UH and the question came in
<v Speaker 1>and it sounded like a very serious question at first,
<v Speaker 1>and he said, you know you've you've commented before. I
<v Speaker 1>don't want I don't want to I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>bungle this. I want to look it up and I
<v Speaker 1>want to make sure that I recite this exactly exactly
<v Speaker 1>the way that it was written, because I think the
<v Speaker 1>name it was a fake name, but like the name
<v Speaker 1>that the person used also was kind of funny. I
<v Speaker 1>want to make sure I do this the right way
<v Speaker 1>it is. It is still the greatest. It's the greatest
<v Speaker 1>question ever submitted in the history of you shoot. Let
<v Speaker 1>me see here Neville Neville, South Hall from Merseyside, England
<v Speaker 1>and al. You have been quoted as saying a good
<v Speaker 1>match is one that draws, is the one that draws
<v Speaker 1>the most money. By your own very logic, is it
<v Speaker 1>fair to say that you haven't had a good match
<v Speaker 1>in your entire career? I could not believe. And the
<v Speaker 1>look on their face as they're kind of looking at
<v Speaker 1>the screen as the question is like put on the
<v Speaker 1>screen and they're reading it. That is the greatest question.
<v Speaker 1>It is the greatest question of the history of you shoot.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think there will ever be There will never
<v Speaker 1>be a better question asked than one of those. I
<v Speaker 1>don't even think he's doing the U shoots anymore, Sean Oliver,
<v Speaker 1>But my god, it was so great. His reaction was
<v Speaker 1>just so great. You've been quoted as saying a good
<v Speaker 1>match is one that draws the most money. So by
<v Speaker 1>your own logic, is it fair to say you've never
<v Speaker 1>had a good match in your career? Holy shit? What
<v Speaker 1>a question? Ah and Mikey Claiman says Are you going
<v Speaker 1>to play the new Halloween game? Yeah? I think that
<v Speaker 1>comes out in September. I would like to, I would
<v Speaker 1>like to. I'm gonna say yes, We'll wait until it
<v Speaker 1>comes out and see. But I saw the trailer for
<v Speaker 1>it and it looks pretty good. Looks pretty good. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>now that's how you troll. That's right, That's that's what
<v Speaker 1>you call a roast. Actually, you know what I was
<v Speaker 1>gonna say, roasting. That's not a roasting. That's a that's
<v Speaker 1>what that is. Forget the roasting. Halloween game. Yeah, there's
<v Speaker 1>a Halloween. There's a Michael Myers Halloween game coming out. Yeah. Again,
<v Speaker 1>I want to say, it's in September. Look it up.
<v Speaker 1>Looks pretty good. Do you need some alo vera for
<v Speaker 1>that burn? So the sound Off this weekend is episode
<v Speaker 1>nine to seventy. That will be dropping as per usual
<v Speaker 1>on Sunday afternoon, brand new episode of the SoundOff, And
<v Speaker 1>then next week, I believe is a normal week. Right,
<v Speaker 1>there's no more international shows, there's no more weird Wacky Times.
<v Speaker 1>Raw Monday night is a big one in Chicago, the
<v Speaker 1>likely return of cmpunk and possibly Sammy z Ain's final
<v Speaker 1>night as the WWE Champion. Tuesday will be a brand
<v Speaker 1>new on Crown, brand new TNT Wednesday. Actually, Wednesday's a
<v Speaker 1>big dynamite. They're loading up that Beach Break episode. We
<v Speaker 1>have Kenny Omega and mjf for the world title. We
<v Speaker 1>have Takeshtan Fletcher for the International title. We have a
<v Speaker 1>women's casino Gauntlet. We have Jericho and Champa. It's their
<v Speaker 1>Beach Break show and they're at this interesting venue in Florida.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm hoping that one of these matches is gonna
<v Speaker 1>fill outside and maybe into a nearby body of water.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. We'll see Falcon Star. Go ahead, you
<v Speaker 1>keep asking me, you can you ask me a question,
<v Speaker 1>Just ask your question. So that's a big raw, it's
<v Speaker 1>a big dynamite. And then SmackDown next week is back live.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it's a big SmackDown, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we should be hitting all of our usual streams, so
<v Speaker 1>should be a big week. I'm hoping you guys come
<v Speaker 1>up and show out. I want to have a I
<v Speaker 1>want to blow June June was I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>felt oft in June. I want July to blow June
<v Speaker 1>out of the water. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.
<v Speaker 1>Falcon Star says, how you know? That was his question,
<v Speaker 1>how you know? I just do? I know everything? All right?
<v Speaker 1>There has been a great stream, a lot of fun,
<v Speaker 1>great week. We had a great dynamite stream on Wednesday too.
<v Speaker 1>I am going to get out of here. I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to try to cool down here again. Be safe wherever
<v Speaker 1>you may be, especially if you're in the heat, because
<v Speaker 1>the heat can be fatal. So make sure you check
<v Speaker 1>on elderly neighbors and family members if you have any.
<v Speaker 1>It's very easy even for a non elderly person to
<v Speaker 1>get dehydrated in this kind of weather. I was going
<v Speaker 1>to go to the gym earlier today to do cardio.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, what are you out of your fucking mind.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, that would have been me. I would have
<v Speaker 1>been passed that on the floor. So just stay safe
<v Speaker 1>and hit that like button on your way out if
<v Speaker 1>you have not already done so. Again. Channel memberships are open.
<v Speaker 1>We picked up a bunch of new channel members this week.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate all of you new subscribers, and then join
<v Speaker 1>me for the SoundOff dropping on Sunday, and then back
<v Speaker 1>here on the Channel live on Monday night. Happy Fourth,
<v Speaker 1>don't blow your fingers off, have a great week. I'll
<v Speaker 1>see you back here for the sound off. Until then,
<v Speaker 1>take our guests
