<v Speaker 1>Oh, we knew it. We knew it. We knew it.
<v Speaker 1>We knew it. We knew it. We knew it. As
<v Speaker 1>soon as they announced that Sammy's Ain was going to
<v Speaker 1>be defending the WWE Championship on Monday on a show
<v Speaker 1>that he really had no business putting the title on
<v Speaker 1>the line anyway, because he's a SmackDown star. But as
<v Speaker 1>soon as they announced this match on SmackDown, as soon
<v Speaker 1>as we realized that Raw was in Chicago this week,
<v Speaker 1>you knew something was going to happen. Now, I didn't
<v Speaker 1>know it was going to go down exactly the way
<v Speaker 1>that it did, But I said this on the sound
<v Speaker 1>of and I think most people probably had that feeling
<v Speaker 1>in their stummach and the pit of their stomach if
<v Speaker 1>they were a Sammy's Ain fan, that this championship run
<v Speaker 1>was not going to last very long. Enjoy it while
<v Speaker 1>you can. Sammy's Ain's taking pictures of himself eating pizza
<v Speaker 1>with the title sitting on the table, he's drinking his coffee,
<v Speaker 1>he's riding around town and his convertible with the championship
<v Speaker 1>sitting next to him. It's as if he knew, I
<v Speaker 1>need to enjoy life while I still can because it
<v Speaker 1>will only be a fleeting moment before this championship ends
<v Speaker 1>up on somebody else. Nine days ago, Sammy Zayin won
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship and he won it in Riod that
<v Speaker 1>he had contested for the title earlier this year in
<v Speaker 1>Saudi Arabia and he lost, so he went into Saudi
<v Speaker 1>a second time and he won. For the first time
<v Speaker 1>in his career. He won a world championship here on
<v Speaker 1>the main roster. And I had people saying, well, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the only reason they put the belt on him was
<v Speaker 1>because they were in Saudi, and I said, well, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>that's not the only reason they put the belt on him,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm sure they looked at where they were going
<v Speaker 1>to be and they said, hey, if we're going to
<v Speaker 1>do this right, this is as good a time and
<v Speaker 1>as good a place as ever, because you know the
<v Speaker 1>kind of response he's gonna get. And he won the
<v Speaker 1>championship and everybody there went crazy, and it was this
<v Speaker 1>great moment for him. And now tonight Raw was in
<v Speaker 1>Chicago and there's another superstar who happens to be from Chicago.
<v Speaker 1>All of a sudden, WWE is about these great hometown moments.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe This bodes well for Chad Gable in Minneapolis at
<v Speaker 1>summerslim Let's hope. But they made the match. It was
<v Speaker 1>gonna be Sammy's Ain and Cody Rhoades for the WWE title.
<v Speaker 1>We got a bait and switch. We did not get
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes wrestling Sammy's Ain in the main event of
<v Speaker 1>tonight's show like we were supposed to, because Gunther showed
<v Speaker 1>up and he took out Cody Roads at the very
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the show. He slammed a car door on
<v Speaker 1>his head and Cody had blood coming down part of
<v Speaker 1>his face. This was a show long storyline tonight. Cody
<v Speaker 1>ended up not being medically cleared, and so all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden we had an opening in the main event.
<v Speaker 1>And wouldn't you know if you think back to a
<v Speaker 1>promo that CM punk had with Cody Roads after Wrestle
<v Speaker 1>many of this year, what was it again? Hmm? What
<v Speaker 1>was it that CM punk said to Cody Rhods in
<v Speaker 1>that promo? You never know when a championship opportunity may
<v Speaker 1>fall out of the sky, and many of us were thinking, Hm,
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank. What does this mean? Right? Obviously
<v Speaker 1>it's a foreshadowing of something yet to come. We just
<v Speaker 1>didn't know exactly what it was. I had no idea
<v Speaker 1>they were going to go with my idea for the
<v Speaker 1>Kick of the Ring Finals. I wasn't too far off,
<v Speaker 1>as it turned out, when I was talking about bouncing
<v Speaker 1>Obafemi or bouncing this person out of the King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring and then CM Punk would show up as
<v Speaker 1>a surprise and win the entire tournament so he could
<v Speaker 1>go to SummerSlam and he could challenge for the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 1>I was only off by about a week. They went
<v Speaker 1>with the fucking idea. I was only off by a week.
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhads gets taken out of the main event. We
<v Speaker 1>end up with Cmpunk just coming back on this show,
<v Speaker 1>wrestling in the main event of this show. And you
<v Speaker 1>got to remember, the last time we saw cm Punk
<v Speaker 1>in a wrestling match, he was defending the World Heavyweight
<v Speaker 1>Championship in the main event of WrestleMania as a raw star,
<v Speaker 1>And so the very next time we see cm Punk
<v Speaker 1>in a wrestling ring, he's challenging for the WWE Championship,
<v Speaker 1>which effectively, now that he's won it spoiler, we have
<v Speaker 1>a new WWE champion that now officially puts him on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>So this was their way of basically getting him off
<v Speaker 1>of Raw and making him the new face of Friday Nights,
<v Speaker 1>unless you want to say QB one and QB two
<v Speaker 1>with him and Cody Rhoads. I can't even before I
<v Speaker 1>even talk about Sammy and everything that happened on this
<v Speaker 1>show and everything that happened in the main event tonight,
<v Speaker 1>I can't even sit here and really be too mad
<v Speaker 1>because look at the main event that we got on
<v Speaker 1>this show. How fucking great was that main event tonight?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I can't go any further without putting that
<v Speaker 1>match over that. This is the kind of Raw main
<v Speaker 1>event that I am starved for. Can I just say
<v Speaker 1>that right off the bat, regardless of how I or
<v Speaker 1>you or anybody else feels about the decision to do
<v Speaker 1>a title change tonight, I feel like we are in
<v Speaker 1>an error right now of WWE Television, and this goes
<v Speaker 1>for Raw and SmackDown, where so many times, so many weeks,
<v Speaker 1>I come on here and I talk about the show
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, either it was just a straight up
<v Speaker 1>bad show, or it was a good show, or it
<v Speaker 1>was a show, and it just feels like rarely does
<v Speaker 1>anything of any great significance actually happen. Rarely do you
<v Speaker 1>see a crowd as loud and electric as this crowd
<v Speaker 1>was in Chicago. And I've said before I think Chicago
<v Speaker 1>is the greatest wrestling city in the world, just consistently
<v Speaker 1>over the years. I say that as a New Yorker,
<v Speaker 1>I think Chicago is the best wrestling crowd. Obviously, CM
<v Speaker 1>Punk is beloved because he's, you know, Chicago made, Chicago born,
<v Speaker 1>Chicago Bread. This was his big return. He was gonna
<v Speaker 1>get a big reaction regardless. But from the moment he
<v Speaker 1>got into that ring and the bell rang and that
<v Speaker 1>main event started, the atmosphere in that building it felt
<v Speaker 1>like a pay per view main event. And I can't
<v Speaker 1>remember the last time I watched a Monday Night Raw
<v Speaker 1>and saw a match that had that kind of atmosphere
<v Speaker 1>for a main event. I wish we could get that
<v Speaker 1>more often. I wish you could just bottle it up
<v Speaker 1>and they could take it with them from city to
<v Speaker 1>city every Monday Night. They had a just an excellent
<v Speaker 1>main event. When it was over, it was the predictable outcome,
<v Speaker 1>the moment seem Punk walk down to the ring. I
<v Speaker 1>even pointed out when the match began, you could see
<v Speaker 1>the Pyro laying on the stage in preparation for something
<v Speaker 1>that was going to happen at the end of this show.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't think they were gonna give Cody Rhoades
<v Speaker 1>his full entrance if he was to come out at
<v Speaker 1>some point during this main event, So that kind of
<v Speaker 1>gave it away as far as what the outcome of
<v Speaker 1>the main event was gonna be. Cmpunk is once again
<v Speaker 1>a world champion here in WWE, almost fifteen years to
<v Speaker 1>the day that he won his first WWE championship from
<v Speaker 1>John Cena at Money in the Bank. I believe it
<v Speaker 1>would have been in that building in Chicago. Here we
<v Speaker 1>are in twenty twenty six and Punk. It's like bar hopping,
<v Speaker 1>right and Punk a straight edge that he doesn't even drink.
<v Speaker 1>You're just you're hopping from one bar to the next. Right.
<v Speaker 1>A few months ago, it was the World Heavyweight Championship.
<v Speaker 1>Now he's got the WWE title. Does CM Punk need
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship, No, he doesn't. He didn't need the
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight Championship, but he ended up having what I
<v Speaker 1>thought was a strong run with it heading into WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>So now they put the title on him. Why did
<v Speaker 1>they do this? They did it because they have Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slam coming up at US Bank Stadium and they are
<v Speaker 1>lagging behind what they were doing for last year Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>I pointed this out of the podcast yesterday. Now it's
<v Speaker 1>two different stadiums. This one's a little bit smaller. But
<v Speaker 1>when SummerSlam rolled around a year ago, they had over
<v Speaker 1>fifty thousand tickets sold for Night one and about sixty
<v Speaker 1>thousand for Night two, and at last count, they were
<v Speaker 1>in the mid twenties for each night of SummerSlam. This year,
<v Speaker 1>we're less than a month out. It's a two night
<v Speaker 1>stadium show. WWE wants to go with what they feel
<v Speaker 1>are going to be the biggest possible attractions on that show,
<v Speaker 1>the biggest main events that they could do. We got
<v Speaker 1>Roman reigns in seth Rollins going one on one. It's
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six. We still have Roman reigns in seth
<v Speaker 1>Rawlins wrestling in the main event. That's ridiculous. We have
<v Speaker 1>CM punk in main events. Kind of ridiculous, right, you
<v Speaker 1>gotta admit. And I know a lot of people are
<v Speaker 1>gonna look at this and go, man, why can't we get.
<v Speaker 1>We gotta get something new. We got to get somebody
<v Speaker 1>younger in there. I will point out to you, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, Okay, you can't. You can't talk about age
<v Speaker 1>in this case. Sammy' z aye's forty one years old. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>everybody's talking about La Knight. La Knight's what forty three?
<v Speaker 1>It's less a matter of age and more a matter
<v Speaker 1>of people being sick and tired of the same shit
<v Speaker 1>over and over and over again. It's like WWE is
<v Speaker 1>allergic to giving new people and new faces opportunities to
<v Speaker 1>hold the title or be in these main events. So
<v Speaker 1>we get Roman Reigns, and we get Seth Rollins, and
<v Speaker 1>we get cmpunk, and we get Cody Rhodes and we
<v Speaker 1>get brock lesnar Rinse repeat, right. It's hard to break
<v Speaker 1>the cycle. This, this idea of Cody fatigue, that people
<v Speaker 1>are just so sick and tired of people calling him.
<v Speaker 1>They're calling him the Golden Boy now on television they've
<v Speaker 1>actually turned it into a fucking nickname on TV, always
<v Speaker 1>the Golden Boy. Right, But that's how a lot of
<v Speaker 1>fans field they're sick and tired of Cody Rhads. They
<v Speaker 1>were very happy to see Cody Rhoads lose the championship
<v Speaker 1>at Night of Champions. Maybe not so happy about Sammy
<v Speaker 1>zan winning the belt because there was a lot of
<v Speaker 1>hate coming Sammy's way for winning that belt. But people
<v Speaker 1>are looking for something new, They're looking for something different
<v Speaker 1>in the main events scene. This is a spot that
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's Ain had never been in before. Sammy z Ain
<v Speaker 1>has been with this company at least in terms of
<v Speaker 1>being on the main roster for a decade, and in
<v Speaker 1>that time, he had never been a world champion before,
<v Speaker 1>and at times it felt like maybe it was never
<v Speaker 1>gonna happen. Right, So, even though he's been around forever,
<v Speaker 1>him winning the World Championship was something different, and there
<v Speaker 1>were a lot of people who embraced it, and at
<v Speaker 1>the same time they also felt really happy for him
<v Speaker 1>because here's a guy who worked his ass off, had
<v Speaker 1>great matches, was always very reliable, very entertaining in whatever
<v Speaker 1>role they would put him in. And so finally he
<v Speaker 1>had his moment of glory. Right, he had his moments
<v Speaker 1>than the Sun. And I never expected it to be
<v Speaker 1>a long I mean, I told you guys, man, I said,
<v Speaker 1>don't expect anything long. By summer, Slim he's going to
<v Speaker 1>drop the belt if he even makes it to summer. Slim.
<v Speaker 1>I was thinking maybe Saturday Night's main event. He may
<v Speaker 1>not make it beyond Madison Square Garden. I had no
<v Speaker 1>idea that they were going to take the belt off
<v Speaker 1>of him nine days later. Even I have to sit
<v Speaker 1>here and look at that, and I go, you couldn't
<v Speaker 1>give the guy one successful title defense, not one. He
<v Speaker 1>did not get one successful title defense. And yet there
<v Speaker 1>have been worse. Talk to raymis Stereo. Raymisterio knows what
<v Speaker 1>it's like to go from the highest of highs an
<v Speaker 1>hour one, to go to the lowest of lows an
<v Speaker 1>hour two. Okay, it could have been worse. It's kind
<v Speaker 1>of hard to believe, but it could have been worse.
<v Speaker 1>But I think a lot of the anger that you're
<v Speaker 1>going to see from people, it's not even a matter
<v Speaker 1>of oh, Sammy Zain. It's a matter of we're tired
<v Speaker 1>of Cody Roads. We're tired of the same old, same old,
<v Speaker 1>And it was nice to just get the belt onto
<v Speaker 1>somebody else and let's give somebody else an opportunity to
<v Speaker 1>run with it and see where it goes. And they
<v Speaker 1>never even thought to extend it out until SummerSlam, because
<v Speaker 1>for SummerSlam they want the biggest possible match they can do,
<v Speaker 1>which is very clearly going to be CM Punk and
<v Speaker 1>Cody Roads. Although I would argue there is no reason
<v Speaker 1>that Sammy's ain should not be a part of that match.
<v Speaker 1>My hope coming into this show tonight was that when
<v Speaker 1>it was over, somehow, even though I wasn't I wasn't
<v Speaker 1>expecting it, But my hope was that somehow Sammy Zin
<v Speaker 1>could could squeak by and then maybe we get a
<v Speaker 1>triple threat match. Punk's gonna come back. You get Punk,
<v Speaker 1>you get Cody, you get Sammy triple threat at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>Why not you still get Cody and Punk in the
<v Speaker 1>ring together. They can still do that. Cody Roads is
<v Speaker 1>gonna end up being in a championship match at SummerSlam,
<v Speaker 1>and he wants his rematch, Well, then why would Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>ain not deserve a rematch? Now? Knowing WWE, They'll just
<v Speaker 1>have Cody against Sammy in a non title match on
<v Speaker 1>television in a few weeks and Cody w'll fucking beat
<v Speaker 1>him and that'll be the end of it. As if
<v Speaker 1>this isn't bad enough, they'll shovel some more dirt on
<v Speaker 1>the corpse and they'll do the singles match they want
<v Speaker 1>to do at SummerSlam. But honestly, if you just look
<v Speaker 1>at it, logically, both men deserve a rematch. It should
<v Speaker 1>be a triple threat. That's the only way that Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>Ain is gonna get on this Summer Slam card unless
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Gargano stops planking and he rises from the dead
<v Speaker 1>and they want to do fucking Sammy's Ain and Johnny Gargano,
<v Speaker 1>you fucking I mean, it's a fucking main event match. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>they're not doing that at Summer Slim. The only way
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's Ain gets on that Summer Slam card at this
<v Speaker 1>point is if they turn this into a triple threat scenario.
<v Speaker 1>Otherwise we are looking at a very real possibility that
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't even make SummerSlam this year, which would be
<v Speaker 1>a huge slap in the face because he's been the
<v Speaker 1>best part of that Friday night show now for a
<v Speaker 1>few months. So you really want to kick the guy
<v Speaker 1>in the dick, that's how you do it. So I
<v Speaker 1>get it. I get there's gonna be people very upset.
<v Speaker 1>I said coming into this. I'm torn. I'm torn because
<v Speaker 1>On the one hand, I fucking hate that they took
<v Speaker 1>this championship off Sammy in nine days. Yes, there have
<v Speaker 1>been worse. You could have given him a little more time.
<v Speaker 1>There was no reason not to put the belt on
<v Speaker 1>him and at least let him run with it and
<v Speaker 1>get one or two defenses under his belt. There was
<v Speaker 1>no reason for it, So I hated the idea of
<v Speaker 1>him losing the championship this soon. On the other hand,
<v Speaker 1>the fact that they want to do Cody Rhades and
<v Speaker 1>see him punkin Summer Slam, I get it. It's one
<v Speaker 1>of the biggest matches that they could do. It's a
<v Speaker 1>match I want to see. I was hoping we would
<v Speaker 1>get it at WrestleMania this year. Didn't pan out that way.
<v Speaker 1>If that's the match they're going to do in Minneapolis,
<v Speaker 1>I'm cool with it. It's a big match, But I still
<v Speaker 1>feel like Samy needs to be worked into that match.
<v Speaker 1>Story Wise, it would not be very hard at all
<v Speaker 1>to get him involved instead of just sort of shunning
<v Speaker 1>him to the side. And that's that's my hope now
<v Speaker 1>coming out of this, is that he's not just forgotten about. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>you know, we gave him his little run we gave
<v Speaker 1>him his token title run, so everybody in Riod can celebrate,
<v Speaker 1>and all the people on the internet who love Samy's
<v Speaker 1>ay and they could rejoice. He got his moment, and
<v Speaker 1>now his moment is over, you know, off to the side.
<v Speaker 1>I hope that's not what happens here. Even though I
<v Speaker 1>will tell you this was it for sammy's Ain, his
<v Speaker 1>WWE champion, because he ain't winning his belt back again
<v Speaker 1>that much. I will tell you I don't believe for
<v Speaker 1>a second that samy's Ain is getting his belt back.
<v Speaker 1>So it sucks that the run came to an end
<v Speaker 1>as quickly as it did if it was going to
<v Speaker 1>end tonight though he went out with a bang, because,
<v Speaker 1>like I said, that match, I thought it was just
<v Speaker 1>an excellent main event. There are worse ways that that
<v Speaker 1>run could have ended, in terms of a roll up
<v Speaker 1>something in thirty seconds, some kind of bullshit finish right,
<v Speaker 1>some overbooked mess. These two guys went out there in
<v Speaker 1>the main event tonight. They had a fucking great wrestling match.
<v Speaker 1>It's the kind of match that if you're a performer,
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine that you live for this. You live
<v Speaker 1>for this. So at least they were able to go
<v Speaker 1>out there and have a great match, one of the best, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>if not best TV matches all year. Maybe not the best,
<v Speaker 1>but one of the best television matches of the year.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm torn because they did him dirty tonight. At
<v Speaker 1>the end of the day, they did Samby's Ain't dirty,
<v Speaker 1>and I knew it going in. I was hoping, though,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I was holding out hope. Now here we
<v Speaker 1>are we have another summer of punk. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how many this is. This is what the third one now,
<v Speaker 1>I guess maybe fourth. We had the one in Ring
<v Speaker 1>of Honor many years ago, we had the one in
<v Speaker 1>WWE in twenty eleven, we had one kind of I
<v Speaker 1>guess in aaw this this would be one number four.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but they mentioned that I think on
<v Speaker 1>commentary that we have another summer of punk here. I
<v Speaker 1>just think, you know, in terms of Sammy's ain Sammy
<v Speaker 1>is one of those guys where if you, you know,
<v Speaker 1>keep the belt on him for a little while longer
<v Speaker 1>and have him defended against a few different people, a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people would have expected that he was going
<v Speaker 1>to drop it quickly. I think it was also a
<v Speaker 1>missed opportunity to have some drama, you know in some
<v Speaker 1>of these title matches where there would have been an
<v Speaker 1>expectation going in that he could lose this championship at
<v Speaker 1>any given moment, on any given night, and you've also
<v Speaker 1>taken that away now that could have made for some fun,
<v Speaker 1>you know, title defenses on TV, you know, maybe between
<v Speaker 1>now and SummerSlam. So as I think about this now
<v Speaker 1>my head, that's also something else that we that we
<v Speaker 1>miss out on. CM Punk being back obviously is a
<v Speaker 1>big feather in their cap. It's a big name for
<v Speaker 1>them to get back. There are other people right now,
<v Speaker 1>including your world heavyweight champion on Raw who can't be
<v Speaker 1>bothered to wrestle on TV. Roman Reigns has his belt,
<v Speaker 1>he comes out on television, he wants people to acknowledge him,
<v Speaker 1>and he defends on some of the pls and that's
<v Speaker 1>the best you're going to get at this point. With Punk,
<v Speaker 1>I could see him defending the championship here and there
<v Speaker 1>on television, having some TV title defenses, So that could
<v Speaker 1>be good. SmackDown certainly could use the boost. Look, if
<v Speaker 1>you're talking in terms of sheer star power, Cmpunk gives
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown a boost that Sammy z Ain does not give
<v Speaker 1>that show because Punk is a bigger star than sammy'se Ain.
<v Speaker 1>Is Punk going to SmackDown is the right move. It's
<v Speaker 1>going to inject some new life into this show. I'm
<v Speaker 1>happy that they've made that move, and the match with
<v Speaker 1>Cody would seem to be the play. And by the way,
<v Speaker 1>whatever the title matches at SummerSlam, it will involve Cody.
<v Speaker 1>Cody should not win the championship back because we have
<v Speaker 1>now seen the title change hands twice recently, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>okay with that. I'm not one of these people that's like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>why are you playing hot potato with the bet? Now?
<v Speaker 1>You know what, hot potato with the WWE title would
<v Speaker 1>be changing at three, four or five times in the
<v Speaker 1>span of a few months. We're not there yet, but
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry, Like, these are shows that for the longest
<v Speaker 1>time have been a fucking bore. So you know what,
<v Speaker 1>if they want to spice it up a little bit
<v Speaker 1>and have a title change here and there, I'm not
<v Speaker 1>opposed to that, but I also don't want them to
<v Speaker 1>go overboard with it. And like we go to Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slam and Punk defends the title and Cody gets the
<v Speaker 1>belt back we can't be doing that. You took the
<v Speaker 1>belt off Cody, keep it off of him. What they
<v Speaker 1>did was they wanted to use Sammy as a transitional
<v Speaker 1>champion to get the belt on Punk without Punk beating
<v Speaker 1>Cody for it. Sammy was the conduit for that. He
<v Speaker 1>is the definition of a transitional champion. That is what
<v Speaker 1>he will go down in history. But now that Punk
<v Speaker 1>has the belt, you got to keep it on him
<v Speaker 1>for a while. I don't want to see Cody Roads
<v Speaker 1>with his belt back at Summer Slam. I'm willing to
<v Speaker 1>bettle out of you have no desire. They have no
<v Speaker 1>appetite to see Cody Rose. Just get the belt back
<v Speaker 1>at Summer Slim to me, if that's where we end
<v Speaker 1>up at the end of all this, then what the
<v Speaker 1>fuck was the point of any of this? What would
<v Speaker 1>the fucking point of any of this be if at
<v Speaker 1>the end of Summer Slam Cody Roads is standing there
<v Speaker 1>with the WWE title. So this is going to be
<v Speaker 1>a very interesting period. Now, if they can control themselves
<v Speaker 1>and not have a belt on Cody, what do they
<v Speaker 1>do with him when he's not the champion? Are they
<v Speaker 1>more open to the idea all of a sudden of
<v Speaker 1>a Cody roads Heel turn. Certainly feel like we're closer
<v Speaker 1>to it now than we were six months ago, where would,
<v Speaker 1>in my mind, would have been completely stupid. Now can't
<v Speaker 1>discount the possibility that maybe we could finally build to
<v Speaker 1>something like that that would certainly add a new dimension
<v Speaker 1>to his character and make him a little more interesting
<v Speaker 1>to people. But I just think, again, at the end
<v Speaker 1>of all this, they put the belt back on Cody,
<v Speaker 1>then I have absolutely no idea what the point of
<v Speaker 1>any of this was. It was certainly a very eventful
<v Speaker 1>close to the show tonight. There'll be a big post mortem,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure on this title reign, if you can call
<v Speaker 1>it that of Sammy's ain. But we have a new
<v Speaker 1>WWE champion, and that was not the only title that
<v Speaker 1>changed hands on this show tonight. We also have new
<v Speaker 1>tag team champions the Vision. This is not what I
<v Speaker 1>was hoping for. In fact, there have been reports of
<v Speaker 1>like that the Vision could potentially be going the way
<v Speaker 1>of the Dinosaur, that there is an internal discussion, and
<v Speaker 1>maybe there still is an internal debate in WWE about
<v Speaker 1>do we split them up, do we keep them together?
<v Speaker 1>Either way, bron Breaker and Paul Hammer are going to
<v Speaker 1>be kept together, which is fine. I think the Vision
<v Speaker 1>it's past its expiration date. Let me fuck you could
<v Speaker 1>say the same thing about the judgment at this point,
<v Speaker 1>just blow him all up. What they did tonight on
<v Speaker 1>the show was the exact opposite. They made it seem
<v Speaker 1>like the Vision is going to be not only kept together,
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna add new members to the Vision and try
<v Speaker 1>to make it even stronger. They put the tag team
<v Speaker 1>belt right back on them. Maxine Dupree turn heel, so
<v Speaker 1>I guess Maxine Duprie now was the first official female
<v Speaker 1>member of the Vision, so the Vision ain't going nowhere
<v Speaker 1>for a while. Bron Breaker was back on the show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I was hoping to see him out there spearing theory
<v Speaker 1>out of his boots. Instead he's I mean, he's just
<v Speaker 1>doing what he usually does. I mean, he lost to
<v Speaker 1>seth Rollins. He doesn't seem terribly bothered by it. He
<v Speaker 1>didn't seem terribly pissed off or upset, and the focus
<v Speaker 1>wasn't even on him tonight. The focus was on Maxine Dupree.
<v Speaker 1>Of everybody in the vision, the focus tonight was on
<v Speaker 1>Maxine Dupree and bron Breaker like Logan Paul was just
<v Speaker 1>sort of in the background, not a fan of that.
<v Speaker 1>I am a fan of them doing this gauntlet match
<v Speaker 1>on the show next week. We're gonna find out next
<v Speaker 1>Monday who the number one contender is going to be
<v Speaker 1>for the Intercontinental title at SummerSlam. And there's like seven
<v Speaker 1>guys in this gauntlet. One of those men is Chad Gable.
<v Speaker 1>And I will tell you now if anybody and Javan
<v Speaker 1>Evans is in there too, and Dragon Lee and Russev
<v Speaker 1>and Ethan Page, if anybody but Chad Gable wins that
<v Speaker 1>gauntlet next week, I don't know what the fuck we'red
<v Speaker 1>and that includes Javon. I don't know what the fuck
<v Speaker 1>we're doing here. Javan Evans should not be going to
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam to wrestle Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. One
<v Speaker 1>man should be going to Minneapolis, in his hometown to
<v Speaker 1>wrestle for that championship, coming off all the momentum he
<v Speaker 1>had with the Triple A match, which was only a
<v Speaker 1>couple not even a couple of months ago. That man
<v Speaker 1>is Chad Gable. They have one job next week on
<v Speaker 1>the show, which is to put Chad Gable over in
<v Speaker 1>the Gauntlet and send him to Minneapolis to wrestle for
<v Speaker 1>the Intercontinental Championshipfully that is the way that will play out.
<v Speaker 1>But that Gauntlet next week, considering some of the talent
<v Speaker 1>that's in there, that should be really good. Like they've
<v Speaker 1>done gauntlet matches on Raw before, some of them have
<v Speaker 1>been eh, kind of a bore, and then some of them,
<v Speaker 1>some of them could go the length of an entire hour,
<v Speaker 1>and some of them have been really good. There was
<v Speaker 1>actually a really good one many years ago that Seth
<v Speaker 1>Rollins was in. I don't think he won, but I
<v Speaker 1>don't remember what the what the match was or what
<v Speaker 1>the circumstances were. So that's coming up on the show
<v Speaker 1>next week. We had no Roman Reigns, we had no
<v Speaker 1>Brocklesner on the show tonight. We did hear from their
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam opponents they were on the show. I will
<v Speaker 1>also point out it was yet another week without a
<v Speaker 1>single Women's World Championship defense by liv Morgan since she
<v Speaker 1>won the title of WrestleMania. They have just completely given
<v Speaker 1>up on the idea of her putting the belt up
<v Speaker 1>against anybody. They're just gonna wait until SummerSlam. She'll defend
<v Speaker 1>it against EO Sky and hopefully she will fucking lose
<v Speaker 1>because this is by far the worst Women's Championship run
<v Speaker 1>that I have ever seen. Like, this is awful. This
<v Speaker 1>is absolutely all they have given her, nothing, nothing to
<v Speaker 1>work with. Stephanie Viquier is unavailable, whatever the issue is, visa,
<v Speaker 1>whatever the fuck it is, She's unavailable. They have no
<v Speaker 1>idea what to do with this woman. You talk about
<v Speaker 1>being caught flat footed. I could just imagine when the
<v Speaker 1>news was delivered to them in the meeting. Hey, we
<v Speaker 1>don't have Stephanie. We may not have her back for
<v Speaker 1>a while. What do we do, Well, We'll just have
<v Speaker 1>her come out with the other members of the judgment
<v Speaker 1>day every week. She'll be a manager. We got nothing
<v Speaker 1>better for her to do. It's unbelievable. Yet another week
<v Speaker 1>of no title defenses. Amazing, We got a lot to
<v Speaker 1>get into here. It was a very eventful show. I
<v Speaker 1>will say that that we need more raws like this.
<v Speaker 1>I actually thought on the whole I would say it
<v Speaker 1>was a good show because it didn't bore me. This
<v Speaker 1>is how I grade these WWE shows now, because so
<v Speaker 1>many of them are just so lackluster and it just
<v Speaker 1>feels like, if I missed this show, I really didn't
<v Speaker 1>miss anything, right. I like it. When shit goes down,
<v Speaker 1>that's important that we can talk about. Whether it makes
<v Speaker 1>you happy or it pisses you off. At least something happened,
<v Speaker 1>and there were multiple things that happened on the show.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to talk about them. This is your Raw
<v Speaker 1>on Netflix review. It is Monday night. It is July sixth,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six. I am the solemn monster speaking of
<v Speaker 1>things that have happened on TV shows over the years
<v Speaker 1>or pay per views. July sixth is a very special
<v Speaker 1>day because twenty nine years ago on this day, one
<v Speaker 1>of the greatest matches in WWE history took place at
<v Speaker 1>the Calgary Stampede. It was at the Canadian Stampede pay
<v Speaker 1>per view. It was the Heart found It against Team USA.
<v Speaker 1>The building was literally shaking. Kudos to the Vault. By
<v Speaker 1>the way, WWE Vault, they uploaded the entire match, all
<v Speaker 1>thirty plus minutes of it, earlier today on the Vault channel.
<v Speaker 1>So if you want to watch it and start with
<v Speaker 1>the entrances, you talk about an electric atmosphere. Holy shit.
<v Speaker 1>So that was twenty nine years ago on this date,
<v Speaker 1>but also On this day twenty eight years ago, and
<v Speaker 1>this was on free TV on Monday, Nitro, we had
<v Speaker 1>Goldberg beating Hollywood Hogan at the Georgia Dome to win
<v Speaker 1>the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. It was the peak of Goldberg,
<v Speaker 1>It was the peak of Nitro. It was the peak
<v Speaker 1>of WCW's like Darby Allen reaching the summit of Mount
<v Speaker 1>Everest and then when you reach the summit you begin
<v Speaker 1>your descent. That was the beginning of the descent of WCW.
<v Speaker 1>But what a match that was. People in the Georgia
<v Speaker 1>Dome lips Hogan up for the jackhammer pins them. You
<v Speaker 1>look out the sea of fans, everybody, they're high five
<v Speaker 1>in each other. They're so happy. Oh my god, the
<v Speaker 1>nWo is dead, or so they thought. So you talk
<v Speaker 1>about historic moments in wrestling history, that was certainly one
<v Speaker 1>of them twenty eight years ago. Today, how about that
<v Speaker 1>hit that subscribe button, hit that like button. I sure
<v Speaker 1>would appreciate it. Super chats are open. I see, we're
<v Speaker 1>already more than halfway to our bonus goal, which is
<v Speaker 1>very cool. You know what else is very cool? I
<v Speaker 1>got to give all you a shout out. How about this.
<v Speaker 1>How about this Cody Rhoads. They talk about Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 1>finishing his story at WrestleMania a few years ago. Guess
<v Speaker 1>who finished his story today? Oh yes, check this out
<v Speaker 1>as of this morning, number one on the Apple Podcast
<v Speaker 1>Charts for Wrestling podcasts, the latest episode of The Solemn
<v Speaker 1>Monster Sounds Off, Episode nine seventy. We've finished the story.
<v Speaker 1>We finally topped Cornett's number one. That doesn't happen without you, guys,
<v Speaker 1>So I got to give all of you a big
<v Speaker 1>thank you. Thank you for downloading and streaming and supporting
<v Speaker 1>and listening to the podcast. It was a good one yesterday.
<v Speaker 1>So I could not go any further without just bringing
<v Speaker 1>that up and ah saying thank you. We have finished
<v Speaker 1>the story. Hopefully this is not the peak of the SoundOff.
<v Speaker 1>You know, WWE. Ever since Cody finished his story a
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania forty, it's been all downhill. They have not been
<v Speaker 1>able to find a story since then to match that one.
<v Speaker 1>I would like to think that this is this is
<v Speaker 1>only the beginning, that this is not the peak. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>solo Monster number one before GTA six, I pulled it off.
<v Speaker 1>Let's do it again next week. How about that also,
<v Speaker 1>I want to just mention for those of you who
<v Speaker 1>may have missed it, I did get a video up
<v Speaker 1>yesterday because of course I dropped the sound off, and
<v Speaker 1>as soon as I did, as soon as the podcast
<v Speaker 1>went out, this fucking shamous news broke. So I decided
<v Speaker 1>to record a separate video with what we know about
<v Speaker 1>the shameless situation and went on camera for that. That's
<v Speaker 1>up on the YouTube channel as well, so if you
<v Speaker 1>miss that, you can go back and check that out.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's bring it back to me. Let's bring
<v Speaker 1>out the wheel. The wheel is out of the shop.
<v Speaker 1>The wheel is working again, So we're gonna spin it
<v Speaker 1>find out how many likes we need. It'd be kind
<v Speaker 1>of funny if it lands on a number we've already beaten.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see, three hundred and ninety. We need three one
<v Speaker 1>hundred and ninety likes, so if we hit three ninety,
<v Speaker 1>then we are guaranteed at least the one round of
<v Speaker 1>be the booker a artist A J. Moore, Hey J,
<v Speaker 1>what's going on? Brother? Thank you for the sub Hit
<v Speaker 1>that sub button. If you are lurking in the shadows
<v Speaker 1>that well, you can be a part of our little
<v Speaker 1>community here. Well, we've already hit the goal. So now
<v Speaker 1>I guess we're just working on the bonus goal. See
<v Speaker 1>what you guys can pull off there. All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>get into this show. We're gonna take it from the top, because,
<v Speaker 1>like I said, there was a lot that went down here.
<v Speaker 1>It was basically a show long storyline with the Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>and Cody road stuff, and it started right from the top.
<v Speaker 1>It started right Oh thank god, we had no Bremode tonight.
<v Speaker 1>We saved that for SmackDown. You know, Brie was very upset.
<v Speaker 1>I know on her podcast she talked about only getting
<v Speaker 1>three minutes for her match with You know, at this rate,
<v Speaker 1>I think she may get more airtime on this stream
<v Speaker 1>than she does on WWE television. Actually, I think we
<v Speaker 1>just did we Yes, we did. Oh my god, we
<v Speaker 1>hit the bonus goal. Son of a bitch. How about that?
<v Speaker 1>My god? We did? We hit the bonus goal. Well,
<v Speaker 1>here's what we're gonna do. Because we already hit the
<v Speaker 1>bonus goal, we got we have to uh, we have
<v Speaker 1>to up the ante here. So before I before I
<v Speaker 1>move on here, it's kind of anti climactic if we
<v Speaker 1>already we already got the job done. We set a
<v Speaker 1>new goal. Maybe we'll get three rounds to be the
<v Speaker 1>booker tonight. Let's see if we could start a new one.
<v Speaker 1>Steve lets me here we go. All right, this is
<v Speaker 1>the bonus bonus. We're gonna do a whole car to
<v Speaker 1>be the booker if we hit this goal. All right,
<v Speaker 1>So Sammy's aying he arrived to the arena in a convertible.
<v Speaker 1>He's been riding around in a convertible now for a while.
<v Speaker 1>You can follow him on social media. You'll see all
<v Speaker 1>the I think he posted a video or images of him,
<v Speaker 1>and the belt is in the driver's seat, or he's
<v Speaker 1>in the driver's seat, the belt in the passenger seat. See.
<v Speaker 1>Arrives at the building and Cody was standing backstage. Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>of course, was all smiles. Things got heated between the
<v Speaker 1>two of them when Gunther showed up. Now, Gunther was
<v Speaker 1>not supposed to be there. Gunther was supposedly sent home
<v Speaker 1>after his little brujaha with Nick all this after night
<v Speaker 1>of Champions. But here he is, and so Gunther is there.
<v Speaker 1>He power bombs Cody through a table that happened to
<v Speaker 1>be nearby, and he looks at Sammy. He goes, you're welcome,
<v Speaker 1>and he tells Sammy that Cody is no longer your problem.
<v Speaker 1>I am Gunh told Sammy that he was coming for him.
<v Speaker 1>So then Gunther looks over, he sees Cody is crawling
<v Speaker 1>towards Sammy's car, and he goes over and he kicks
<v Speaker 1>the driver's door, the driver's side door, right into Cody's head,
<v Speaker 1>and Cody had some blood kind of you know, coming
<v Speaker 1>down his head a little bit there, and yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>looking at this and I'm like, uh oh, angle alert.
<v Speaker 1>Are they going to swap him out for somebody else
<v Speaker 1>in the main event? Michael Cole and Corey Graves wondered
<v Speaker 1>the same thing. They wonder what does this mean for
<v Speaker 1>the main event here on this show seth Rollins was
<v Speaker 1>then out to the ring to address the Chicago crowd.
<v Speaker 1>He was promptly met by chance of CM punk. You know,
<v Speaker 1>my favorite thing on this show was listening to Michael
<v Speaker 1>Cole and or Corey Graves have to feign surprise when
<v Speaker 1>CM punk showed up at the end of the show
<v Speaker 1>and also talk about how Sammy's ain seemingly had no idea.
<v Speaker 1>He's he's shocked, he is absolutely shocked that CM punk
<v Speaker 1>would be on the show, even though the fans have
<v Speaker 1>been chanting CM Punk the entire night off and on,
<v Speaker 1>including when Sammy's ain came out to the ring. So
<v Speaker 1>I always love it when they have to just play stupid.
<v Speaker 1>They just have to play dumb. But yes, they were
<v Speaker 1>chanting for CM Punk here. In this segment, Rolin said
<v Speaker 1>he couldn't care less about him because Punk is not
<v Speaker 1>his business right now. The World Heavyweight Championship is. Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns is his business, and the fans didn't like hearing that.
<v Speaker 1>The fans the fans are the fans are funny man.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously you would expect them to cheer for Punk here
<v Speaker 1>in Chicago, but they cheer for Roman Reigns even though
<v Speaker 1>he's a heel. They chant otc anybody who speaks ill
<v Speaker 1>of Roman Reigns. They boo that person. La Night got booed.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know where they were, but a few weeks
<v Speaker 1>ago on TV. He hates Roman Reigns, he hates the bloodline,
<v Speaker 1>and they love La Night except when he bashes Roman
<v Speaker 1>and then they bow him, and then he's got to
<v Speaker 1>turn it around and be like, oh, I get it,
<v Speaker 1>I get why you guys would like him. I got it.
<v Speaker 1>But you know he's up there a little bit. He said,
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is not here tonight. Man. He doesn't like
<v Speaker 1>it either. But Roman didn't show up because he didn't
<v Speaker 1>think it benefited him. Either that or the check wasn't
<v Speaker 1>big enough. From day one, Roman has been the chosen one.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody ever wants to hold him accountable. The Shield debuted
<v Speaker 1>as a trio, but it was made very clear that
<v Speaker 1>Roman was the chosen one. Roman was the one who
<v Speaker 1>was going to be the big star, no matter if
<v Speaker 1>he couldn't cut a promo or wrestle his way out
<v Speaker 1>of a wet paper bag. That didn't sit right with Seth.
<v Speaker 1>He points out a little boy in the crowd somewhere
<v Speaker 1>in the front row. He goes, that was me. I
<v Speaker 1>was that boy he sat in the stands. He wanted
<v Speaker 1>to be a pro wrestler his entire life. He wanted
<v Speaker 1>to main event wrestle Mania is he wanted to be
<v Speaker 1>the biggest star in the industry. To watch those dreams
<v Speaker 1>be handed off to somebody else broke something in him.
<v Speaker 1>Every decision he made after that is in response to
<v Speaker 1>watching his dreams get handed to somebody that he didn't
<v Speaker 1>think deserved it. He broke up the shield he cashed
<v Speaker 1>in at WrestleMania in the main event to stick close
<v Speaker 1>to Roman raids. He believed that if he put in
<v Speaker 1>the work and believed in himself, that he could still
<v Speaker 1>achieve those dreams. But they weren't running in the same race.
<v Speaker 1>A couple of years ago, Roman said something about him
<v Speaker 1>that changed everything for him. He admitted that Seth worked
<v Speaker 1>ten times harder, but Roman made ten times the money
<v Speaker 1>that Seth did. Isn't that the thing about life? You
<v Speaker 1>could have somebody who doesn't work nearly as hard as
<v Speaker 1>you do, and yet somehow they'll find more success than you,
<v Speaker 1>or they'll make more money than you. Right. I think
<v Speaker 1>that's a wrestling thing. I think that's a life thing.
<v Speaker 1>Believe me, there's a lot of very frustrated people out
<v Speaker 1>there who could probably relate to that. So in this case,
<v Speaker 1>it just it just irked him to no end. He
<v Speaker 1>said that he was bullshit, is what he called it.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't about the money. He wasn't about living in
<v Speaker 1>a mansion. The reward was the work, the ability to
<v Speaker 1>come in and make something of himself. Roman has to
<v Speaker 1>beat Seth at Summerslim because he needs to justify what
<v Speaker 1>he's been trying to prove to himself for the last
<v Speaker 1>fifteen years. And that's not a case of him being
<v Speaker 1>the tribal chief for the OTC or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>To Roman, Roman has to prove that he is not
<v Speaker 1>a fraud. He has to do the one thing he
<v Speaker 1>hasn't been able to do in a big match, beat Seth.
<v Speaker 1>If he can't beat Seth and he's a fraud, Seth
<v Speaker 1>needs to beat Roman just as much. He needs to
<v Speaker 1>prove to himself and his five year old self that
<v Speaker 1>through sacrifice, hard work, and dreams you can still achieve greatness.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm not gonna lie. This promo was boring me.
<v Speaker 1>I was surprised I didn't start dozing off here. This
<v Speaker 1>was not the most exciting Seth Rollins promo that we've
<v Speaker 1>gotten out of him. Not that anything that he was
<v Speaker 1>saying here was wrong. I mean, he's trying to throw
<v Speaker 1>some more gasoline on the fire for his summer Slam match,
<v Speaker 1>and there's only so much you can do when your
<v Speaker 1>opponent doesn't show up to work. So he did what
<v Speaker 1>he could hear in this promo to make the key
<v Speaker 1>points he wanted to make. But yeah, this wasn't working,
<v Speaker 1>and it wasn't working in Chicago because again, you know
<v Speaker 1>CM punk chants during a Seth Rollins promo. Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>doesn't like ciampunk. He's cutting a promo on Roman rains.
<v Speaker 1>Roman reigns super popular with the crowd. Fans didn't want
<v Speaker 1>to hear it. They're very quiet. They did not want
<v Speaker 1>to hear what this man was trying to sell them. Thankfully,
<v Speaker 1>it was boring La Knight as well, who interrupted and
<v Speaker 1>he came out to save the day. He said that
<v Speaker 1>there was no way that for two weeks in a row,
<v Speaker 1>he was just gonna sit there and listen to this again.
<v Speaker 1>He said, Roman and Seth bore everyone to sleep every
<v Speaker 1>week with the same old trash. Yip be Skippy, he said,
<v Speaker 1>put that on a T shirt. I'll buy that Yip
<v Speaker 1>be Skippy with the La Night logo on the back.
<v Speaker 1>He said. They bloviated all over each other. What a
<v Speaker 1>great cheat code. All they had to do was talk
<v Speaker 1>about how great they were, and Seth gets a title shot.
<v Speaker 1>Night remembers when you had to win matches in tournaments
<v Speaker 1>to get title shots. They both lost in the first
<v Speaker 1>round of the King of the Ring, but the difference
<v Speaker 1>between them is that Knight's not making a claim to
<v Speaker 1>the title for nostalgia's sake. These two guys come out there, brother, brother, brother, brother,
<v Speaker 1>I gotta beat you brother, brother, brother. He was morphing
<v Speaker 1>into Hogan here for a second that or Russo. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I guess Russeau would be bro. Yeah, morphin
<v Speaker 1>into Hogan. You don't. You don't do that. You don't
<v Speaker 1>want to morph into Hogan. Say he's mocking them, you
<v Speaker 1>know again, brother, brother, brother, brother, this brother, that they're
<v Speaker 1>the greatest of all time, greatest of what he said.
<v Speaker 1>Night hasn't been here as long as Seth has, and
<v Speaker 1>he'll never catch him as far as world title shots go.
<v Speaker 1>But when business was starting to peak a couple of
<v Speaker 1>years ago, who is the man on top? He said,
<v Speaker 1>He'll give some credit to Cody Rhodes. But everybody was
<v Speaker 1>saying and everybody chants, la Knight. He said he was
<v Speaker 1>making his rise, but he got cut off by the
<v Speaker 1>blood Line, and he got cut off by the Vision.
<v Speaker 1>Here we are again. The Bloodline is trying to hold
<v Speaker 1>him down again, but they can't. Roman and Seth are
<v Speaker 1>the two biggest vomits in the business. They can't stop
<v Speaker 1>La Night because he must rise. So Seth goes, are
<v Speaker 1>you done? He says, I don't like you, but I
<v Speaker 1>respect Knight is a shining example of everything that he described,
<v Speaker 1>hard work, hustle, and grind. He believes his time will come.
<v Speaker 1>That's very very optimistic of him. Right now, Seth can't
<v Speaker 1>worry about La Night because he has to go to
<v Speaker 1>SummerSlam and get the belt back that he never lost.
<v Speaker 1>But after he gets it back, Night can be the
<v Speaker 1>first person he puts in the dirt and so Rollin's
<v Speaker 1>He goes to leave, and after Night turns around, Jimmy
<v Speaker 1>Usso is in the ring and Jimmy is waiting for him,
<v Speaker 1>and Knight eats the foot off the superkick, and then
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy retreated into the crowd. He was mouthing off as
<v Speaker 1>he was leaving. You know, keep my family's name out
<v Speaker 1>of your mouth. I should point out to you that
<v Speaker 1>it was already twenty five minutes past the top of
<v Speaker 1>the top of the hour. Really since the show started,
<v Speaker 1>it was like eight twenty five. We had a lot
<v Speaker 1>of a lot of talking on this show. We had
<v Speaker 1>yet to have any actual match. I guess we had
<v Speaker 1>some action in terms of Cody getting bloodied up backstage.
<v Speaker 1>We got a power bomb through a table backstage by Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>That was the extent to which we had any action
<v Speaker 1>up to this point on the show. Seth Rollins. Here's
<v Speaker 1>the thing about the Seth Rollins promo. Seth Rollins is
<v Speaker 1>the the de facto babyface, right, got fut fuck that tree.
<v Speaker 1>That's right, You tell him, you tell him death sith,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you brother. What I was gonna say is that
<v Speaker 1>in this segment, Rollins was only the fourth most over
<v Speaker 1>guy who was mentioned or appeared Punk Roman La Knight.
<v Speaker 1>Rollins was number four. Rollins is the one who's going
<v Speaker 1>to Summer Slam to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship.
<v Speaker 1>It was a bad look. It was a bad look
<v Speaker 1>that he was only the fourth most over guy in
<v Speaker 1>this entire segment. Looks It's hard for me to sit
<v Speaker 1>here and get excited about, oh, you know La Knight
<v Speaker 1>is you know, giving it to Seth Rollins because the
<v Speaker 1>promo that night cut here was so much better than Seths.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm looking at this and I'm like, maybe they're
<v Speaker 1>positioning him for some But then I catch myself and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, you got to stop doing that because we've
<v Speaker 1>been here before, Like we have been here before multiple
<v Speaker 1>times where Night comes out in the middle of a
<v Speaker 1>segment like this, or he confronts you know whoever it is,
<v Speaker 1>the top heel or babyface or whatever, and it's like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they're maybe they're planning something with him, right, maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe there's something in the works. There's nothing in the works.
<v Speaker 1>You know what's in the works. A six man tag
<v Speaker 1>is in the works. That's what's in the works for
<v Speaker 1>him at summers and coming out of summer, Slim, I
<v Speaker 1>don't expect anything to be any different. For if it
<v Speaker 1>is great, I'll be the first to come on here
<v Speaker 1>and say I didn't see it coming. But you know,
<v Speaker 1>when you would like to see someone kind of elevated
<v Speaker 1>to a position higher than the one that they're in,
<v Speaker 1>doing something more meaningful to what they have them doing,
<v Speaker 1>and time after time after time, it just doesn't happen.
<v Speaker 1>Despite the reactions that he continues to get, after a while,
<v Speaker 1>you're like, Okay, you know, fool me ones, fool me twice,
<v Speaker 1>fool me seven times after that. Yeah, I'm not really
<v Speaker 1>going to expect much out of it. So he was
<v Speaker 1>the star of this segment here. But beyond that, do
<v Speaker 1>I think it's actually leading to something tangible, meaningful for him?
<v Speaker 1>I don't. I don't. We go to the back Adam Pearson, guntherer.
<v Speaker 1>They were arguing as Gunther was being escorted out of
<v Speaker 1>the building. But hold on a second, Nick, All this
<v Speaker 1>is here. It's as if he was he never sent
<v Speaker 1>home in the first place, even though he was he
<v Speaker 1>was sent home on administrative leave. He showed up to work.
<v Speaker 1>Anybody who does that, who gets sent home and just
<v Speaker 1>shows up to work anyway, if you're sent home on
<v Speaker 1>administrative leave, I guess technically you're still being paid, I
<v Speaker 1>would guess. But anyway, So here he is, and so
<v Speaker 1>he's yelling at Gunther. Pierce is getting in between them,
<v Speaker 1>trying to keep the two of them apart. Gunh says,
<v Speaker 1>all this was a failed wrestler and now he's a
<v Speaker 1>failed general manager. So after Gunther left Pierce and all
<v Speaker 1>this they got into it. All this was very upset
<v Speaker 1>that Pierce poached his main event and was doing it
<v Speaker 1>on Raw instead of doing it on SmackDown, which he's right,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, the WWE Championship, there's no real reason
<v Speaker 1>for it to be defended on this show other than
<v Speaker 1>it was going to be CM Punk in the match.
<v Speaker 1>So he was very upset about this, and Pierce said, well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm running both shows now because of you and all
<v Speaker 1>this said yeah, and you're doing a really crappy job,
<v Speaker 1>he said, Cody getting injured and potentially being out of
<v Speaker 1>tonight's main event. That's on you. Where has this been,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, where we need more of this? We
<v Speaker 1>have these general managers that are generally they're very deferential
<v Speaker 1>to each other. They work together, they don't really do
<v Speaker 1>a lot in terms of trades and things of that nature.
<v Speaker 1>We need more, you know, we need more animus like
<v Speaker 1>this between the two gms, right, it sparks good competition
<v Speaker 1>between the brands. We need to see more of this
<v Speaker 1>between these two. We have the Street Profits finally a match,
<v Speaker 1>Street Profits defending the World Tag team titles against bron
<v Speaker 1>Breaker and Austin Theory representing the Vision. During the commercial break,
<v Speaker 1>the Street Profits they got the jay usso interests they
<v Speaker 1>were they were or the death Rider's entrance. They were
<v Speaker 1>coming through the crowd and I don't know what was
<v Speaker 1>going on with montez Ford. He gets to the barricade
<v Speaker 1>at ringside, and the security guard is sitting there right
<v Speaker 1>right up against the barricade in a chair, and Ford
<v Speaker 1>gets right up in his face. Basically, his crotch is
<v Speaker 1>level with the security guard's face and he starts thrusting himself.
<v Speaker 1>He's thrusting his pelvis into the security guard's face. He
<v Speaker 1>is gyrating in this man's face. I think he was
<v Speaker 1>trying to break him. And the security guy is just
<v Speaker 1>looking at him and he's just kind of shaking his head.
<v Speaker 1>He has no idea, you know what's going on here.
<v Speaker 1>Dawkins is looking at Ford. He's got to look on
<v Speaker 1>his face like, what the fuck are you doing? He
<v Speaker 1>was on something. I don't know what was going on here.
<v Speaker 1>So in the back after the break, Jackie Redman was
<v Speaker 1>about to interview bron Breaker Austin theory logan. Yes, another
<v Speaker 1>NDA is about to be signed here in WWE. We
<v Speaker 1>already have a lot of them. We probably have somebody
<v Speaker 1>more than we don't even know about. What's another non
<v Speaker 1>disclosure agreement. But Jackie is about to interview the vision
<v Speaker 1>when Paul Hayman shows up. He tells bron Breaker, don't
<v Speaker 1>worry about that. Spear through the barricade a few weeks ago,
<v Speaker 1>tell Breaker, you didn't even take out seth Rollins. Then
<v Speaker 1>he looked at Austin Theory and he said, you you
<v Speaker 1>didn't even take out Joe Hendry, as if they can't
<v Speaker 1>bury Joe Hendry any more than they already have with
<v Speaker 1>the way he's been used tag team titles. He says
<v Speaker 1>street profits. He says, come back with something worthy of
<v Speaker 1>your wise men, or don't come back to me at all,
<v Speaker 1>and he walked off. Late in the match, the Prophets
<v Speaker 1>hit the Doomsday blockbuster to Theory. Bron Breaker broke up
<v Speaker 1>the pen attempt that followed. Logan Paul was out there
<v Speaker 1>and he tried to pass the brass knucks to Theory.
<v Speaker 1>Referee was right there, so the referee caught him. Referee
<v Speaker 1>put his foot on the knucks and he went to go,
<v Speaker 1>uh remove them. But it was all a decoy because
<v Speaker 1>Logan passed another set of knucks to bron Breaker. Dawkins,
<v Speaker 1>though was able to get them before he could use them.
<v Speaker 1>He was about to use them on Theory, referee was distracted.
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember exactly where the referee was at this
<v Speaker 1>exact moment, but Maxine Dupre crawls into the ring from
<v Speaker 1>behind Angelo Dawkins and delivers a low blow and Austin
<v Speaker 1>Theory then covers Dawkins one two three, and the Vision
<v Speaker 1>are once again the world Tag Team Champions. Bron Breaker
<v Speaker 1>is yet again a tag teamampion, as if he needs
<v Speaker 1>that tag team champion with Austin Theory. As they're leaving,
<v Speaker 1>they're in the isleway, Maxine races over, the Theory jumps
<v Speaker 1>up in his arms, and they start making out. They
<v Speaker 1>are swamping spit. They're smooching right there in the isleway.
<v Speaker 1>So they're the new it couple, I guess in WWE,
<v Speaker 1>And again the focus was on Theory in Maxine, focus
<v Speaker 1>was not on bron Breaker here. That's why I said
<v Speaker 1>bron Breaker just felt like a bit player in the
<v Speaker 1>background here. So the Street, you know, we talk about
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zain being the WWE Champion for nine days. The
<v Speaker 1>Street profits, they got the titles for two weeks, and
<v Speaker 1>now the Vision has the belts back, which means, unfortunately
<v Speaker 1>they are not being disbanded anytime in the near future,
<v Speaker 1>which is terrible. That's a double whammy of suck right there,
<v Speaker 1>because this is not a group that needs to be
<v Speaker 1>together anymore. As far as Maxine finally going heel, I'll
<v Speaker 1>say this, this may be the best role for her.
<v Speaker 1>She may excel in this role. I'd rather see her
<v Speaker 1>in this role than have her back in the ring
<v Speaker 1>attempting to have you know, matches every single week that
<v Speaker 1>are not going to be very good because she's just
<v Speaker 1>not getting enough time in the ring to improve and
<v Speaker 1>get better at the rate that she would need to.
<v Speaker 1>This might be a role that she excels in. I'm
<v Speaker 1>just happy they paid off all of these little, you know,
<v Speaker 1>backstage teases and these little backstage segments that they've been
<v Speaker 1>kind of dropping on us over the last few months.
<v Speaker 1>At least we finally got some kind of payoff to it.
<v Speaker 1>So it's the best I could say about that as
<v Speaker 1>far at least as far as she goes. Not a
<v Speaker 1>bad role for her to be in. I do wonder,
<v Speaker 1>I do wonder if they got the Belts off the
<v Speaker 1>street profits. Bianca bell Air I think is due any week.
<v Speaker 1>Right when she when she showed up a WrestleMania, she
<v Speaker 1>was six months alone, so she's probably due to give
<v Speaker 1>birth very soon, and so I wonder if maybe that
<v Speaker 1>played a role in them losing the Belts if we're
<v Speaker 1>we're not going to be seeing the street profits on
<v Speaker 1>TV for a bit. I know Angelo Dawkins and his wife,
<v Speaker 1>they were also expecting their third child, I think, but
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that's until September. But they both have
<v Speaker 1>they both have you know, babies on the way. That
<v Speaker 1>could have factored into you know, them getting the belts. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>let's put the belts on them and get them a
<v Speaker 1>win and then get the belts off because they may
<v Speaker 1>not be available soon. That's just my that's my Austin
<v Speaker 1>theory about this. So anyway, there was a doctor in
<v Speaker 1>the back who was checking on Cody and Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 1>comes in and the doctor looks at Pierce and he goes, sorry,
<v Speaker 1>I I can't I just I can't sign off on this.
<v Speaker 1>I can't clear him. And Cody of course is like no, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 1>I'm fine. I'm fine, I'm fine, And Pierce says, okay, look,
<v Speaker 1>we have to get scans. Now. We have an ambulance outside.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe we can get him to the ambulance. We can
<v Speaker 1>do the scans here and let's see before you make
<v Speaker 1>a final diagnosis or a final decision, let's get him
<v Speaker 1>into the scans. And see what they say. And so
<v Speaker 1>off they went. But it didn't look good Elsewhere in
<v Speaker 1>the back, the Vision is in a very celebratory mood.
<v Speaker 1>Logan Paul tells the other Vision members how happy he
<v Speaker 1>is and proud he is of them. Paul Hayman shows up.
<v Speaker 1>He says, that's a good first step. But it's only
<v Speaker 1>a first step. But he admits, you know, maybe I'm
<v Speaker 1>being too harsh. At least somebody accomplished something tonight in
<v Speaker 1>Theory looks at him and goes, thank you, Paul, and
<v Speaker 1>Hayman tells him, I wasn't talking about you, I was
<v Speaker 1>talking about her, and off he goes. So Haman left
<v Speaker 1>and then the other members of the Vision they got
<v Speaker 1>into their suv. As soon as the suv pulled away,
<v Speaker 1>that's when Otison tells Zawa SHOWEDO. They came running out.
<v Speaker 1>They watched as the suv drove off. They were they
<v Speaker 1>were crestfallen. They were devastated at this turn of events.
<v Speaker 1>With Maxine Dupree, I can't wait until they confront her
<v Speaker 1>next week, and she smacks the She pulls a Stephanie
<v Speaker 1>McMahon and smacks the shit out of them. So yes,
<v Speaker 1>the Alpha Academy is uh greatly dismayed at this turn
<v Speaker 1>of events. A Melick Gayman screams for Kyrie, thank you
<v Speaker 1>for the twenty bucks brother theory accomplishing something. Yes, you
<v Speaker 1>had a good laugh at that, didn't you. Roderick oh
<v Speaker 1>Man Alpha Academy Vision feud for the rest of the summer.
<v Speaker 1>Why why, why why even bring that up up? Theory
<v Speaker 1>is so much better as a babyfit. I don't disagree
<v Speaker 1>with you on that. I think he's been miscast for
<v Speaker 1>a while now. I thought, coming out of the Waller stuff,
<v Speaker 1>we were gonna get a babyface, right, that would have
<v Speaker 1>made a difference and worked. Who knows. I think he's
<v Speaker 1>got a good babyface run in him, but they just
<v Speaker 1>insist on keeping him as a heel. Now next week,
<v Speaker 1>this is where they made the announcement on the show.
<v Speaker 1>Next week, we're gonna be getting a gauntlet match to
<v Speaker 1>crown a number one contender for Penta's Intercontinental title at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>And in this gauntlet we have Chad Gable, Dragonly Joe Hendry,
<v Speaker 1>which means he's actually gonna get a fucking entrance next week.
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit, I just realized his first official entrance, so
<v Speaker 1>I'm not counting tonight. We'll get to him in a
<v Speaker 1>little bit, but Joe Hendry will be in there, Javan Evans,
<v Speaker 1>Dominic Mysterio, Ethan Page and Russev. One of those men
<v Speaker 1>will challenge Penta for the intercontinental title of SummerSlam. There's
<v Speaker 1>only one option here. They have one job. Don't fuck
<v Speaker 1>this up. Jackie Redman interviewed the Intercontinental champion Penta, who
<v Speaker 1>was interrupted by Ethan Page and Russev. Paige said that
<v Speaker 1>Raymisterio is not going to be in the Gauntlet because
<v Speaker 1>he's on the shelf. After being in the ring with him,
<v Speaker 1>what was it, Raymisterio just on the triple aishaw looking fine,
<v Speaker 1>introducing Damian Priest. He looks okay to me. Wouldn't call
<v Speaker 1>that on the shelf. So Dragon Lee showed up and
<v Speaker 1>he told Paige, watch what you say about Ray. Russev
<v Speaker 1>said that Dragon Lee better learn English or he would
<v Speaker 1>squash him too. Chad Gable showed up, he got in
<v Speaker 1>Russev's face, Page pulled Rusev. He said that they could
<v Speaker 1>talk to Adam Pierce about making a tag team match tonight,
<v Speaker 1>which actually ended up being up until the main event
<v Speaker 1>was the best thing on the show in ring wise.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously this ended up being number two best thing on
<v Speaker 1>the entire show. But they set that matchup for a
<v Speaker 1>little bit later on in the night. And oh, my goodness,
<v Speaker 1>we have got another goal unlocked. You guys got to
<v Speaker 1>help me keep track of this. You guys have already earned.
<v Speaker 1>You guys have earned five. God got five rounds to go.
<v Speaker 1>My goodness, Oh my god. Soul Ruka, let's talk about
<v Speaker 1>Soul Ruca against Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
<v Speaker 1>Soul missed the moon, salt to the floor, landed on
<v Speaker 1>her feet, though then she hit a springboard twisting body
<v Speaker 1>press onto Raquel, who was on the floor. Back in.
<v Speaker 1>Soul flipped out of a choke's limb attempt, but she
<v Speaker 1>got wasted, I mean absolutely wasted. Holy shit, this clothes line.
<v Speaker 1>She got wrecked by a clothes line by Raquel, and
<v Speaker 1>that took us into a commercial break. They showed a
<v Speaker 1>slow mow replay of it. Man, it looked it looked brutal.
<v Speaker 1>So Roxanne Perez showed up late in the match. She
<v Speaker 1>got up on the apron to distract the referee. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>Lived Morgan tripped up Soul on the ropes when she
<v Speaker 1>went for a soul snatcher. Raquel then dropped Soul with
<v Speaker 1>a side slam that was a good in near fall.
<v Speaker 1>I thought she might have it there. Eo Sky's music
<v Speaker 1>hit and she came from the crowd to take out
<v Speaker 1>Perez and Morgan. She got Raquel's attention briefly as she
<v Speaker 1>was standing on the apron, and when Raquel charged at her,
<v Speaker 1>Eo hit an Asaii moonsol and she wiped out the
<v Speaker 1>other two members of the judgment day out on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>It all always scares me when she does that, especially
<v Speaker 1>when she does it on the side where the announcers are.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I don't like that. You got that podium
<v Speaker 1>there with the belt, you got the edge of the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk. She always comes like so close to it.
<v Speaker 1>She's gonna hit the back of her head on there.
<v Speaker 1>One day, so she took them out, and then Soul
<v Speaker 1>came out of nowhere and hit the soul snatcher to
<v Speaker 1>put it away. I like how the camera angle for
<v Speaker 1>this was zoomed out in the event that she fucks
<v Speaker 1>up the move. I'm almost positive that's why they did that.
<v Speaker 1>But she didn't fuck it up, she nailed it, and
<v Speaker 1>she retains her championship. This was a solid match here
<v Speaker 1>from these two. You know, if Soul was not so
<v Speaker 1>early into her reign as champion, because she's had the
<v Speaker 1>belt since what clash in Italy, I believe, so it's
<v Speaker 1>been a little over a month, as sammy' zane weeps somewhere,
<v Speaker 1>but she's still very early into this run. I would
<v Speaker 1>say put the belt on Raquel, but the timing just
<v Speaker 1>isn't right for it. I don't think the timing is
<v Speaker 1>right anyway for this story that they seem to be telling.
<v Speaker 1>What the Judgment Day. I always think like things are
<v Speaker 1>going to finally blow up between Live and Raquel. And
<v Speaker 1>the thing with the Judgment Day is they just they
<v Speaker 1>drag everything out. Everything is just dragged out until it
<v Speaker 1>either doesn't happen or it doesn't mean anything. And the
<v Speaker 1>Judgment Day has been around now for literally for years.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you talk about a faction that has outlived
<v Speaker 1>its usefulness. It was very useful for a while, very
<v Speaker 1>very beneficial to Damian Priest where Ripley dom JD McDonough Raquel.
<v Speaker 1>I think Raquel really benefited, you know, from being a
<v Speaker 1>part of this crew. I mean it benefited Live. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that Live needed it per se. But again
<v Speaker 1>it's it's mostly a women's faction. Now you know you
<v Speaker 1>got Dom and you got JD and that's it, and
<v Speaker 1>it's like all right, it's kind of like running on
<v Speaker 1>fumes now. So we highlights of the brockles Ner Oba
<v Speaker 1>Femi stuff from the show last week. When Obo was
<v Speaker 1>about to talk about which championship he was going to
<v Speaker 1>challenge for at Summerslim. Oh, psych, there will be no
<v Speaker 1>title match for him at Summer Slim. He will challenge
<v Speaker 1>brock Lesnar inside hell in his cell. So fuck the
<v Speaker 1>King of the Ring. We come back live after a break.
<v Speaker 1>Paul Hayman is already in the ring. He's by himself.
<v Speaker 1>He says, I'm out here to talk about now. I
<v Speaker 1>gotta say it the way he says it, Oba fem me.
<v Speaker 1>I love how Hayman talks to us like we're all
<v Speaker 1>four years old. He's been doing this for years. We're
<v Speaker 1>all toddlers. So he has to over enunciate every single
<v Speaker 1>word and stretch for time as he cuts these promos.
<v Speaker 1>Paul Haman is the best guy you could possibly send
<v Speaker 1>out there to do promos in WWE because he I mean,
<v Speaker 1>he could talk all night, but he doesn't even have
<v Speaker 1>to have a lot to say. He just says it
<v Speaker 1>really really slow, you know, and pauses a lot. So
<v Speaker 1>he's out here talk about Oba Femi. Oba came into
<v Speaker 1>WWE like he owns the joint, which he does. He
<v Speaker 1>saunters down the aisle like he's King Schlong. That's what
<v Speaker 1>he called him, King Schlong until he got punted in
<v Speaker 1>the Little Femis by brock Lesnar. But the bad news
<v Speaker 1>for Oba is that's nothing compared to the pain he's
<v Speaker 1>going to suffer inside hell in a cell. Yes, Aaron
<v Speaker 1>says Paul Hayman's promos are at zero point five speed.
<v Speaker 1>It's a good point. They are. They are at half speed.
<v Speaker 1>And lives in a relationship. So she's breaking up with
<v Speaker 1>Dom on TV, guarantee, What does that have to do
<v Speaker 1>with anything? You know, how many people are in relationships
<v Speaker 1>on TV and real life at the same time. That
<v Speaker 1>doesn't mean anything, Maxine dupre I think she might be married.
<v Speaker 1>If not, I know, she's definitely in a relationship. And
<v Speaker 1>there she is on TV. She's, you know, playing tonsil
<v Speaker 1>hockey with Austin theory doesn't mean anything. They'll keep LIVDM
<v Speaker 1>together for another year if they want to. So. Obafemi,
<v Speaker 1>he says, has inspired Brocklesner. Obafemi has compelled the beast
<v Speaker 1>to emerge from brock Lesner. Obafemi has motivated brock Lesner.
<v Speaker 1>He has made Oba has the biggest mistake of his
<v Speaker 1>life by accepting this challenge. You're not coming out of
<v Speaker 1>helen a cell. He said, no way, no how, brock
<v Speaker 1>Lesner will destroy Obafemi inside Helen is cell. And then
<v Speaker 1>he flipped his mic like he was about to leave.
<v Speaker 1>So again he said nothing. He said nothing in this promo.
<v Speaker 1>He's about to leave and the lights go out. Oba
<v Speaker 1>comes out and he struts down to the ring and
<v Speaker 1>he said he felt bad for Paul. He wanted to
<v Speaker 1>at least give him a face that he could talk
<v Speaker 1>to when he's out here. Hayman said, Oba learned last
<v Speaker 1>week talk shit, get hit, but he'll talk facts. You
<v Speaker 1>know why I'm valuable because I prevent people from making
<v Speaker 1>bad mistakes. Not at WrestleMania, he said, at WrestleMania, you
<v Speaker 1>prove to the world that brock Lesner is beatable. And
<v Speaker 1>then in Italy, brock Lesner proved that Oba Femi is
<v Speaker 1>also beatable. So now comes the trilogy match, and they
<v Speaker 1>have to find out which one of them goes on
<v Speaker 1>to be that unbeatable superstar, even though they've both already
<v Speaker 1>been beaten. So let's examine who's stepping into the cell.
<v Speaker 1>He says, Oba is stepping into the cell with Brock Lesner,
<v Speaker 1>who was a UFC heavyweight champion. There's no one who
<v Speaker 1>fights in a cage like Brock Lesner. He ended the
<v Speaker 1>Undertakers on defeated streak at WrestleMania. Undertaker the man who
<v Speaker 1>invented hell and his cell, and Brock didn't just beat
<v Speaker 1>him once inside the cell, he beat the Undertaker twice
<v Speaker 1>inside hell cell. Oba didn't accept a challenge for a
<v Speaker 1>cage or for a cell. That cell is the broctagon,
<v Speaker 1>and inside that broctagon, Lesner is the bringer of pain,
<v Speaker 1>the beast Oba cannot beat, the mountain that Oba cannot climb.
<v Speaker 1>Only one man will leave SummerSlam with that reputation intact
<v Speaker 1>that he is truly the unbeatable superstar in WWE, and
<v Speaker 1>that man is Brock Lesner. And the beatable one is
<v Speaker 1>going to be Oba Femi. And again Hayman chucked the microphone,
<v Speaker 1>Oba said. Brock Lesner showed up last week. After weeks
<v Speaker 1>of Oba calling him out and calling him names, Brock
<v Speaker 1>finally shows up. He says, that tells me that every
<v Speaker 1>word that I said got to him, every single thing
<v Speaker 1>I said about him got under his skin. And now
<v Speaker 1>he can pretend like he doesn't watch the show. The
<v Speaker 1>fact that he showed up tells me he definitely watches
<v Speaker 1>the show. Uh oh, but I got news for you.
<v Speaker 1>He don't watch the show. He definitely doesn't watch the show.
<v Speaker 1>But then Hayman here is doing his usual damage control,
<v Speaker 1>and he's writing all of these checks that Brock probably
<v Speaker 1>can't even cash. Hayman is less than an advocate. He's
<v Speaker 1>just a mouth. And that's the thing about a mouth.
<v Speaker 1>Mouths need to be fed, But how can you feed
<v Speaker 1>one if you have no head. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>he was trying to rhyme here. I have some Doctor
<v Speaker 1>Seuss shit going on here. He's out here talking about
<v Speaker 1>Randy Catore and the Undertaker when neither of those men
<v Speaker 1>are Oba Femi. Hayman is scared. Every man knows when
<v Speaker 1>his time has come, whether it's the beginning or the end,
<v Speaker 1>and he goes, trust me, Paul, this is the end.
<v Speaker 1>This is the final chapter. This is where the book closes.
<v Speaker 1>And what bigger stage to do it than summerslim in
<v Speaker 1>Minneapolis in front of his friends, in front of his family,
<v Speaker 1>in front of Brock's wife. He'll beat him in front
<v Speaker 1>of his children. And he's learned a very valuable lesson.
<v Speaker 1>You have to walk through hell to get to heaven.
<v Speaker 1>So tell your client, I'll see him in hell. So
<v Speaker 1>good promo, the Hayman stuff, by Hayman's standards, was very
<v Speaker 1>paint by numbers. OPA's a very good promo. It's one
<v Speaker 1>thing that he has showed on the main roster this year.
<v Speaker 1>You know, he doesn't come across as being timid. He doesn't,
<v Speaker 1>you know, seem to get nervous or lose his train
<v Speaker 1>of thought or trip over his words or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>He's very he's very focused. He brings a level of
<v Speaker 1>intensity to his promos that not everybody does. And again,
<v Speaker 1>he's a very intimidating guy to look at if you're
<v Speaker 1>in the ring with him, right, I mean, you might
<v Speaker 1>shit a brick if a guy like that was getting
<v Speaker 1>really really pissed off at you, Right, he plays the
<v Speaker 1>part well, he carries himself well, so I thought this
<v Speaker 1>was good. Now brock is going to be back on
<v Speaker 1>the show next week, so we'll see, you know, if
<v Speaker 1>there's any sort of physical interaction or do we just
<v Speaker 1>get another very basic, you know, Paul Hayman Brock Lesnar promo.
<v Speaker 1>If you've seen one, you pretty much seen most of them.
<v Speaker 1>I thought when Lesner was on the show last week,
<v Speaker 1>not that he had a ton to say, but I
<v Speaker 1>actually thought his delivery and everything was one of the
<v Speaker 1>better Brock Lesnar promos that I've ever seen, which is
<v Speaker 1>wild considering how long he's been around for. We'll see
<v Speaker 1>what he does on the show next week. At least
<v Speaker 1>they'll be back in the same building. In the back,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's ain was taping up his fists. He was getting
<v Speaker 1>ready for the main event tonight. Jackie Redman broke the
<v Speaker 1>news to him that it's now been confirmed Cody Rhoades
<v Speaker 1>will not be medically cleared for the main event. Sammy
<v Speaker 1>was shocked. His mouth was a gape. He asked her,
<v Speaker 1>is he really out? He goes that's terrible. I was
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to testing myself against QB one, but he
<v Speaker 1>goes this night. Honestly felt cursed from the start, and
<v Speaker 1>to to be honest with you, I'm not sure why
<v Speaker 1>I had to defend my title on raw to begin with.
<v Speaker 1>So it's best to wait until Friday and we'll regroup.
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pierce walks in, he tells him, we promised the
<v Speaker 1>fans in Chicago a championship match, and that's what we're
<v Speaker 1>going to give them. So it is official. And so
<v Speaker 1>at that point you could hear the CM Punk Chance
<v Speaker 1>ring out inside the arena. It was it was very
<v Speaker 1>clear where this was headed. And the fans of the building,
<v Speaker 1>they were here for it, they were waiting for it.
<v Speaker 1>We had Chad Gable and Dragon Lee against Ethan Page
<v Speaker 1>and Russev. We got Rusev day chance. Who chanced that anymore?
<v Speaker 1>Why are we getting Rusev day chance in twenty twenty six?
<v Speaker 1>So there was a crazy spot here ahead of the
<v Speaker 1>commercial break where Gable gave Dragon Lee an overhead belly
<v Speaker 1>to belly out of the ring and he wiped out
<v Speaker 1>russevn Page on the landing outside the heels got the
<v Speaker 1>heat on Gable for a while until he made the
<v Speaker 1>hot tag to Dragonly Lee caught a Page with a
<v Speaker 1>tornado DDT. At one point, he missed the ropes as
<v Speaker 1>he was trying to push off the ropes. He missed him,
<v Speaker 1>and somehow he was able to build up enough momentum
<v Speaker 1>to spin around and hit the DDT anyway. Lee hung
<v Speaker 1>Page upside down and then came off the top with
<v Speaker 1>a double stomp. Things broke down at this point. Gable
<v Speaker 1>caught Page with an angle slam, Russev hit him with
<v Speaker 1>a Machka kick. Dragon Lee caught Russev with a snap German.
<v Speaker 1>He came off the top rope. Russev caught him on
<v Speaker 1>the way down and planted him with a Urinagi. Russev
<v Speaker 1>hit him Maschka kick and then locked in the accolade
<v Speaker 1>and Dragonly very quickly tapped out. I can't believe that
<v Speaker 1>Russev won a match. See, I should give that. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not gonna do it, but I should. I should give
<v Speaker 1>this the the air horn for that alone, Russev actually
<v Speaker 1>won a match on TV. It's pretty transparent why that is.
<v Speaker 1>They want you to believe that he is going to
<v Speaker 1>be the monster that's just gonna tear through this gauntlet
<v Speaker 1>next week, so it's like, oh, we better give him
<v Speaker 1>a wing on TV. We better give this guy some credibility.
<v Speaker 1>We haven't been doing much of that lately, so at
<v Speaker 1>least here they made him look like a monster. He
<v Speaker 1>won the match. When the match was over, he refused
<v Speaker 1>to release the hold. Gable came in. He tried to
<v Speaker 1>help break it up. Ethan Page jumped Gable, russev denlock
<v Speaker 1>Gable and the Accolade, but Joe Hendry ran out to
<v Speaker 1>make the save. Now they played his music. He came
<v Speaker 1>out from the back. He raced down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>This is not a proper entrance, but it's the closest
<v Speaker 1>thing to an actual entrance that Joe Hendry has been
<v Speaker 1>given since he debuted on this show a few months ago.
<v Speaker 1>It's the first time that I can remember his music
<v Speaker 1>actually being hit and him coming out. It's July. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why it took this long, but he ran
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring. He got inside, and he very
<v Speaker 1>quickly got overwhelmed. I mean he got a few moves off,
<v Speaker 1>he did the fallaway slam. They did the camera zoom
<v Speaker 1>in on him. He was setting up for I think
<v Speaker 1>the standing ovation. I don't know. It almost looked like
<v Speaker 1>he was gonna give him a rock Bottom or something.
<v Speaker 1>But anyway, he got overwhelmed and he ended up being
<v Speaker 1>trapped in the accolade as well. This was a good match,
<v Speaker 1>like this was a good tag team match. They kept
<v Speaker 1>Russev strong because he's in this gauntlet next week and
<v Speaker 1>he clearly is going to be the destroyer. Right, He's
<v Speaker 1>not going to win. But if let's say Gable, who
<v Speaker 1>I think Gable should open the gauntlet. I mean Gable
<v Speaker 1>should be one or two, but they have seven guys
<v Speaker 1>in this gauntlet. If Gable is anything but one or two,
<v Speaker 1>I think it's a mistake. You I think would want
<v Speaker 1>him to work from underneath and have to overgo maybe
<v Speaker 1>not number one necessarily doesn't have to be number one,
<v Speaker 1>but he should have to overcome a shit ton of
<v Speaker 1>adversity in this gauntlet, and he'll have to run through
<v Speaker 1>Russev at some point. They just wanted to build him
<v Speaker 1>up strong. But again, there's only one option for this gallet.
<v Speaker 1>It's gotta be Gable, Gotta be get That could be
<v Speaker 1>his new catchphrase, It's gotta be Gable. You get one
<v Speaker 1>shot at this Minneapolis SummerSlam, the title that he could
<v Speaker 1>never win, right, Seamus will never get his moment, Chad
<v Speaker 1>Gable should get his for the IC title and plus
<v Speaker 1>Chad Gable and Penta is a singles match at Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>Is fucking awesome. That was Pentce's first match on TV
<v Speaker 1>when he debuted was against Gable. Talk about a full
<v Speaker 1>circle moment. What a great match that would be. We
<v Speaker 1>got highlights of La Knight beating Jimmy Usso on Raw
<v Speaker 1>last week with an unexpected assist from Solo Socoa, and
<v Speaker 1>then they showed the super kick from earlier tonight when
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy's superkick Knight in the face backstage live. Jackie Redman
<v Speaker 1>is actually outside the building. She's racing to catch up
<v Speaker 1>with Jimmy as he was leaving, and she asked him
<v Speaker 1>what kind of message were you trying to send? And
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy said, it's time for Big Jim to step up
<v Speaker 1>for the Bloodline. He's going to go to SmackDown to
<v Speaker 1>get his hands on Solo Soca. La Knight could be
<v Speaker 1>seen coming out of the building. He's in the background.
<v Speaker 1>He's coming towards Jimmy. Before he could get to him, though,
<v Speaker 1>he gets cut off by Jacob Fatu who comes from
<v Speaker 1>out of nowhere and he lays Night out on the ground.
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy and Jacob they left together, clearly operating on the
<v Speaker 1>same page. So it looks like La Night he's gonna
<v Speaker 1>need some help if he wants to fight back here
<v Speaker 1>against the Bloodline and enter Solo's Socoa and enter Royce Keys.
<v Speaker 1>That's what we're gonna get at SummerSlam. We're gonna get
<v Speaker 1>a six man tag team match because La Knight and
<v Speaker 1>Solo Socoa they're all by themselves even though they want
<v Speaker 1>to have anything to do with each other, right strange.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking of strange, strange, strange bedfellows, that's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a tag team at Summerslin. They're gonna wrestle Jacob Fatu
<v Speaker 1>and the Ussos. It's not official yet. By the way,
<v Speaker 1>I may as well mention this here. No jay Usso
<v Speaker 1>on this show. He is dealing with a personal matter
<v Speaker 1>that broke today on TMZ, so you can look that
<v Speaker 1>up if you care to do so. But no yeat
<v Speaker 1>for jay Uso. We had a video promo from Bailey
<v Speaker 1>where she talked about how Lyra Valkyria waited in line
<v Speaker 1>for hours to meet her when she was younger, and
<v Speaker 1>they even had the photo Lyra became her best friend
<v Speaker 1>and was there for her during one of the toughest
<v Speaker 1>years of her career. Helped her become the best version
<v Speaker 1>of herself every single week. She never questioned Lyra's trust
<v Speaker 1>and wanted to help her. They couldn't have an honest conversation.
<v Speaker 1>She took the easy way out. Bailey is gonna give
<v Speaker 1>Lyra one chance to show that she's not like everybody
<v Speaker 1>else and meet her in the ring next week. And
<v Speaker 1>so for RAW next week in Dallas, they have announced.
<v Speaker 1>This always pops me when they do this. Roman Reigns returns.
<v Speaker 1>How many returns are we up to over the past
<v Speaker 1>year for Roman Reigns, Like he misses one week, maybe two,
<v Speaker 1>and then he's back and it's like the return of
<v Speaker 1>Roman Raigns, the return of Roman Reigns. I mean, he
<v Speaker 1>hasn't been gone for that long, the return of Roman Reigns.
<v Speaker 1>So he'll return again next week. Braka Lesner will also
<v Speaker 1>be back. That'll be in Houston. We have the Gauntlet,
<v Speaker 1>as I mentioned, and then we have Roxane Perez is
<v Speaker 1>gonna wrestle Eo Sky and I guess Bailey is going
<v Speaker 1>to wait for Lyra Valkyria to come out to confront her,
<v Speaker 1>and we'll get our first real opportunity to see Lyra
<v Speaker 1>like in a live in ring promo setting as a heel.
<v Speaker 1>I'm very curious if she's got the chops to be
<v Speaker 1>a heel. I don't know the WWE is going to
<v Speaker 1>really give her the opportunity to really run with it.
<v Speaker 1>They're not giving her a whole lot of TV time
<v Speaker 1>to begin with. I don't see Lyra as a heel.
<v Speaker 1>I would like to see if she can make this work.
<v Speaker 1>I'm curious what kind of heel she's going to portray.
<v Speaker 1>In the back, Nick all this walked up to Adam Pears,
<v Speaker 1>he's still hanging around, said that I placed a phone
<v Speaker 1>call to a certain someone while you're off talking to nobody,
<v Speaker 1>and I found a replacement for Cody Rhoades in the
<v Speaker 1>main event tonight. That superstar is in the building right now.
<v Speaker 1>All Adam needs to do is say you're welcome. And
<v Speaker 1>that led into our main event and the Champion entered first,
<v Speaker 1>his one and only entrance for a match as the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Champion. I hope he soaked it up. I hope
<v Speaker 1>he enjoyed it. As he made his way down to
<v Speaker 1>the ring, it was Sammy's saying. He gets in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>the music stops. Who's it gonna be? Chance? Ring out
<v Speaker 1>in the arena of CM Punk. They cut to the
<v Speaker 1>back and of course it is cmpunk. He was standing
<v Speaker 1>outside the arena, like right where the SUVs and everything
<v Speaker 1>come down the ramp and pull into the building. I
<v Speaker 1>think the door was down and they kind of raised
<v Speaker 1>the garage door and he's standing there in his wrestling gear,
<v Speaker 1>no music, and he starts to walk through the back.
<v Speaker 1>Finally they hit his music. Everybody in the building is
<v Speaker 1>losing their minds. He comes out just an electric entrance
<v Speaker 1>place going nuts. His first appearance since the Raw after WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>and they're in Chicago. So he gets in the ring
<v Speaker 1>and things got a little salty. Sammy got up in
<v Speaker 1>his face, he kind of face washed him. Referee had
<v Speaker 1>to get in between them. He took the championship, he
<v Speaker 1>held it up for all all to see, rang the bell,
<v Speaker 1>and the crowd was just again. They were molten hot
<v Speaker 1>here for the beginning of this match. And this is
<v Speaker 1>where I noticed, Oh shit, they got the pyro set
<v Speaker 1>up on stage. They're not setting the pyro up for
<v Speaker 1>sam Be's aying to retain the WWE title. So right there,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if I didn't already know, right there, I
<v Speaker 1>knew this is not gonna end well for Sammy's ain,
<v Speaker 1>it is. It is preordained. So for those curious, for
<v Speaker 1>those who may not have seen the show yet, you
<v Speaker 1>remember there were a lot of stories about CM Punk
<v Speaker 1>and his physical condition and Jim photos going around from
<v Speaker 1>people who were just being creepers and taking pictures of
<v Speaker 1>him at the gym without him knowing, talking about oh
<v Speaker 1>my god, Punk is swollen. Man. Look at Punk. He's
<v Speaker 1>all jacked up. He's on steroids, this guy. But we
<v Speaker 1>know what he's been doing in his time off. And
<v Speaker 1>it was just soberdging and I said, wait until Punk
<v Speaker 1>comes back. And he doesn't look really any different than
<v Speaker 1>he did the last time we saw him. I can't
<v Speaker 1>tell you he looks. He doesn't look like fucking Bruce Banner. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't look radically different. He's in good shape. He
<v Speaker 1>clearly has not just been sitting at home on the
<v Speaker 1>couch eating ice cream for the past two months. He's
<v Speaker 1>been putting the work it. He's in good shape. Nothing outrageous,
<v Speaker 1>nothing like all these dingbats online. Oh he's uh, you know,
<v Speaker 1>he's shooting up. You know, he's a wrestler who's in
<v Speaker 1>good shape. News at eleven there was a commercial break
<v Speaker 1>here in the middle of his main event, and after
<v Speaker 1>the break, Punk was looking for the GTS. Sammy slipped
<v Speaker 1>out standing switched by Punk into a big clothesline, and
<v Speaker 1>I mean he reached deep for that one. Only got
<v Speaker 1>a two count loud cm Punk chance as he made
<v Speaker 1>the slow climb up to the top, Sammy, they'll cut
<v Speaker 1>him off, and Samy took him down with a massive superplex.
<v Speaker 1>This then took us into a second commercial break in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of this main event. And I'm like, dude,
<v Speaker 1>they have got to do I have no problem with
<v Speaker 1>there being ads. It's kind of the necessary evil. I
<v Speaker 1>get it. You got to do a better job of
<v Speaker 1>spreading this shit out, like you can't be doing this
<v Speaker 1>during your main events. You know, you got a two
<v Speaker 1>and a half hour show here. This is your main event.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure that, And maybe it would make things a
<v Speaker 1>little miserable in other parts of the show if you
<v Speaker 1>had to move things around. If they even have control
<v Speaker 1>over it, I don't know, But in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>the main event, dude, like come on, man, come on.
<v Speaker 1>I will say this. It is one thing I will
<v Speaker 1>always give Russo credit for because he's talked about this before.
<v Speaker 1>And it's true if you think back to those main
<v Speaker 1>events in the Attitude era, and we had some big
<v Speaker 1>television matches in the Attitude era on TV, and it's
<v Speaker 1>not like those shows didn't have commercials. Very rarely, if ever,
<v Speaker 1>did they have commercials during the main event. And I
<v Speaker 1>think he even said, like to the extent that he
<v Speaker 1>had any sing in the matter, because he wasn't a
<v Speaker 1>TV guy. He would make sure there were no main
<v Speaker 1>event breaks like you have big like Stone Cold Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>main event. They weren't going to fucking commercial in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the match, you know what I mean. Like,
<v Speaker 1>there were just some matches that you should not constantly
<v Speaker 1>be interrupting, and I just wish they would do a
<v Speaker 1>better job of spreading it out. Now. Look, I I'm
<v Speaker 1>using the ExpressVPN, so I can see what goes down
<v Speaker 1>during the commercial breaks, but it's still ridiculous for the
<v Speaker 1>people who don't. Sammy came off the ropes. This was
<v Speaker 1>during the break. Came off the ropes and Punk Drop
<v Speaker 1>kicked him out of mid air on the way down.
<v Speaker 1>Then Punk came off the top with a high cross
<v Speaker 1>body for a near fall, and then the two of
<v Speaker 1>them had a collision, ribs first coming off the ropes
<v Speaker 1>at the same time just as the break ended. So
<v Speaker 1>when they came back live, both men were down. I
<v Speaker 1>just realized I used the word collision when I was
<v Speaker 1>talking about CM Punk here, and now Sammy's Ain is
<v Speaker 1>banned from collision? Is that joke still still things? Is
<v Speaker 1>that joke still work in twenty twenty six. So now
<v Speaker 1>they're slugging it out from their knees. Now they're on
<v Speaker 1>their feet. He's going for a GTS but nope, Slammy Slammy.
<v Speaker 1>Well I like that Slammy's Ain. He elbows his way out.
<v Speaker 1>He went for a blue thunderbomb that got stuffed. Punk
<v Speaker 1>hit the step up knee in the corner. He was
<v Speaker 1>going for the running Bulldog, but Sammy turned it into
<v Speaker 1>a blue thunderbomb for a near fall, and it didn't
<v Speaker 1>look pretty. He had to really muscle him up for
<v Speaker 1>that one, but he did land it. So then there
<v Speaker 1>was another step up knee by Punk and he hit
<v Speaker 1>the running Bulldog. Now Punk races to the top in
<v Speaker 1>his Hitman colors, as Michael Cole said, and he hit
<v Speaker 1>the very un hit man like diving elbow. Brett. To
<v Speaker 1>be fair, there were times where Brett would hit a
<v Speaker 1>diving elbow from the middle rope. I mean he did
<v Speaker 1>the okay, So to be fair, he did the diving
<v Speaker 1>elbow from the middle rope in pretty much every match,
<v Speaker 1>and then he would do it in a different way
<v Speaker 1>where you knew he was gonna miss it. I never
<v Speaker 1>saw Brett hard hit an elbow off the top rope.
<v Speaker 1>That's something that was not in his arsenal. That was
<v Speaker 1>very unhit man like. But he came off with the
<v Speaker 1>diving top rope elbow. Now, the Anacon device is locked
<v Speaker 1>in and I'm just I'm watching this. I'm going reach,
<v Speaker 1>reach Sammy, reach, and he's in the middle of the
<v Speaker 1>ring so there's nothing to really reach for it. He's
<v Speaker 1>flailing around and I'm like, don't tell me, they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have him fucking tap to the anacon device. But he
<v Speaker 1>uses his legs, he wraps him around Punk's head to
<v Speaker 1>break free. Punk did go for a sharpshooter Sammy, though
<v Speaker 1>very quickly, you know, he fought out of that. So
<v Speaker 1>here comes the GTS, but no again, Sammy slips out.
<v Speaker 1>He got the same roll up now on Punk that
<v Speaker 1>he used to pin Cody to win the championship in Riod,
<v Speaker 1>but this time he only got a close two count
<v Speaker 1>out of it, so that was a very good near fall.
<v Speaker 1>So again GTS no. Sammy gets Punk up on his
<v Speaker 1>shoulders and he hits the GTS flush. Sammy covers Punk
<v Speaker 1>kicks out. Punk ended up down in the corner. Fans
<v Speaker 1>are booing because they know what's coming up next. Sammy
<v Speaker 1>is setting up for the halluva kick. Punk catches him though,
<v Speaker 1>as he charges in and he hits a Sammy move.
<v Speaker 1>He hits an exploder into the corner. Now we have
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk in the opposite corner and he is setting
<v Speaker 1>up for something. He's setting up for a halluva kick
<v Speaker 1>of his own. Sammy though, catches Punk with another GTS.
<v Speaker 1>He nails it in to a blue thunderbomb and he's
<v Speaker 1>got him pinned and Punk kicks out. Punk kicked out
<v Speaker 1>of a GTS Blue Thunderbomb combo, and I'm like, what
<v Speaker 1>am I watching him? I feel like I'm watching aew
<v Speaker 1>Sammy starts ripping off the wrist tape. Now he smacks Punk,
<v Speaker 1>smacks him a second time. He smacks him across the
<v Speaker 1>face for a third time. He's telling him, I'm the champ.
<v Speaker 1>Now do you understand that I'm the champ. Now he's
<v Speaker 1>punching Punk. Punk now has a bloody mouth. Now Punk
<v Speaker 1>is pissed, and he starts the fireback another step up knee.
<v Speaker 1>Then Punk runs into the opposite corner. Sammy, though followed
<v Speaker 1>him in, but Punk moved out of the way when
<v Speaker 1>Sammy went for the hallula kick. Punk comes in though,
<v Speaker 1>He nails a hallula kick of his own, and then
<v Speaker 1>comes the go to sleep. All it took was one
<v Speaker 1>although to be fair, he hits Sammy with his own
<v Speaker 1>finisher first, then he hit his own and then he
<v Speaker 1>covered him and he gets the one, two, three and
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk for the eighth time in his career is
<v Speaker 1>world champion. I say eighth time in his career, not
<v Speaker 1>counting aew is an eight time champion, because now this
<v Speaker 1>is his third I believe, right, third WWE championship. And
<v Speaker 1>I want to say, the original version, the OG version
<v Speaker 1>of the World Heavyweight title, did he hold that three times?
<v Speaker 1>And then I think the most recent version twice? Right,
<v Speaker 1>So that adds up to eight. I believe that's what
<v Speaker 1>they're counting. Michael Cole on commentary referred to Sammy Zane's
<v Speaker 1>run as the shortest World Championship reign in five years.
<v Speaker 1>He almost certainly had to mean WWE title, because we
<v Speaker 1>have had World Heavyweight Championship reigns in the last five
<v Speaker 1>years that are a lot shorter than this. Drew McIntyre WrestleMania, Hello,
<v Speaker 1>oh cm Punk a year ago, not even a year ago.
<v Speaker 1>It's summerslim. We beat Gun there. He got cashed in
<v Speaker 1>on fucking five minutes later he lost the championship, So
<v Speaker 1>in terms of the WWE title, that may well be
<v Speaker 1>the case. Punk hops the barricade very reminiscent of what
<v Speaker 1>we saw fifteen years ago in that very building Money
<v Speaker 1>in the bank twenty eleven. After he beat John Cena, right,
<v Speaker 1>he retreated over the barricade into the crowd, up into
<v Speaker 1>the stands, swarmed by all of the Chicago fans and
<v Speaker 1>celebrating with his people as they go off the air.
<v Speaker 1>This was an incredible main event. The atmosphere, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>even just as a match, forget the atmosphere for a second.
<v Speaker 1>It was a fucking really good match. But then you
<v Speaker 1>got a factor in just the energy and the building.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, everybody they were dying to see Punk win
<v Speaker 1>this belt, and they were hanging onto every near fall,
<v Speaker 1>and it was just it was so good. It was
<v Speaker 1>so good. That's why it's hard for me to be
<v Speaker 1>too angry about anything or upset about it. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I am upset that, you know, Samy only had nine days.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I think that's bullshit. But what a great
<v Speaker 1>fucking match to go out on, you know what I mean,
<v Speaker 1>Like if this was gonna be his one and only
<v Speaker 1>title defense, he went out in like the best possible
<v Speaker 1>way in terms of en ring because probably wasn't gonna
<v Speaker 1>have a better match than this. So I love the match.
<v Speaker 1>There's the best match on Raw in a very long time.
<v Speaker 1>But again, nine days, after ten years of chasing the
<v Speaker 1>dragon and finally capturing the dragon, and then he dropped
<v Speaker 1>it and just like that, it's gone and it ain't
<v Speaker 1>coming back. Because I got news for you. I don't
<v Speaker 1>see Samy's in winning this championship back. I don't. I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I think they put the belt on him not just
<v Speaker 1>to give him a moment, but in the process of
<v Speaker 1>giving him a moment. It served a purpose, and the
<v Speaker 1>purpose was to trans position that belt onto somebody else
<v Speaker 1>for a much bigger program and a much bigger match
<v Speaker 1>that they have in mind and the real money in
<v Speaker 1>their eyes, and I'm not even saying they're wrong about this.
<v Speaker 1>The real money here is in Punk and Cody, because
<v Speaker 1>they are two of the biggest stars outside of Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns in the entire company, and whatever order you want
<v Speaker 1>to put them in, it's Roman, it's Cody, It's Punk.
<v Speaker 1>Those are the three. Those are the three guys. And
<v Speaker 1>you would hope in the next three years or less,
<v Speaker 1>Frankly Oba, Femei, bron Breaker, at least those two, Jacob Fatu,
<v Speaker 1>maybe Trick Williams, maybe his inn ring has to catch up,
<v Speaker 1>but you would hope that we have some new faces
<v Speaker 1>in the mix and we're not still talking in three
<v Speaker 1>years about Roman Reigns, Cody Rhoades, brock Lesnar, CM Punk
<v Speaker 1>hogging up the same fucking spots. The money match right
<v Speaker 1>now to do is one that has not been done yet.
<v Speaker 1>It's Cody Rhods and CM Punk and they've teased this
<v Speaker 1>match off and on now for a few years. They've
<v Speaker 1>had some backstage interactions. They had an in ring promo
<v Speaker 1>after WrestleMania this year. It's very interesting to think about
<v Speaker 1>is it just going to be straight Babyface against Babyface?
<v Speaker 1>Is one guy gonna lean more into the heel role,
<v Speaker 1>even if it's just for the one match. You know
<v Speaker 1>who's going to play heel? Is there going to be
<v Speaker 1>a heel turn? If so, who's it going to be.
<v Speaker 1>We've seen Punk play heel. We know Punk could be
<v Speaker 1>a heel. We haven't seen Cody in that spot since
<v Speaker 1>he became the guy, right. I mean, we've had pass
<v Speaker 1>versions of Cody star Dust and you know, the grooming tips,
<v Speaker 1>like that's like a whole other person. That person doesn't
<v Speaker 1>even exist anymore. This version, the American Nightmare version of
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes has yet to go heal and play bad
<v Speaker 1>guy in ww A, and it would be very interesting
<v Speaker 1>to see him in that role. It would freshen him
<v Speaker 1>up in a way that I think he could definitely use.
<v Speaker 1>But they've just got to have somebody there to take
<v Speaker 1>that spot. I don't know that Punk is that guy,
<v Speaker 1>not that he's not a big name, but ideally you
<v Speaker 1>would replace Cody with somebody who can really take that spot.
<v Speaker 1>Is the top babyface on the brand for the future.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Punk punk is not the future. Do they
<v Speaker 1>have another babyface who can kind of step into that role?
<v Speaker 1>You know? On SmackDown right now? The answer is no,
<v Speaker 1>they don't, So turn Cody heel at your own risk.
<v Speaker 1>It's not like I wouldn't love to see it. But
<v Speaker 1>what's the plan for SmackDown? If you do that, it
<v Speaker 1>can't just be cmpunk. Who else are you going to
<v Speaker 1>rely on or try to elevate or have in that spot,
<v Speaker 1>lean on as the top babyface on Fridays and be
<v Speaker 1>that guy. That's something they have to figure out is
<v Speaker 1>who they want that person to be. If they can
<v Speaker 1>figure that out. Fuck, I would love to see Cody
<v Speaker 1>Rhods go heel. I would love to see what that
<v Speaker 1>looks like. And maybe the fans will just sort of
<v Speaker 1>naturally gravitate towards Punk. If they do punkin Cody, they
<v Speaker 1>may boot Cody anyway because they like Punk just that much.
<v Speaker 1>The dynamic will be very interesting. But you can't deny
<v Speaker 1>that that is the biggest possible match they could do
<v Speaker 1>right now on SmackDown. Unfortunately, that leaves Sammy's Ain't out
<v Speaker 1>in the cold. Because if they don't include him in this,
<v Speaker 1>if he's not involved in that match, to turn it
<v Speaker 1>into a three way situation. I don't see another obvious
<v Speaker 1>path for him to even be on the SummerSlam card
<v Speaker 1>this year, and to go from winning the WWE Championship
<v Speaker 1>at the end of June to literally not even a
<v Speaker 1>full two months later, be completely left off the card
<v Speaker 1>would be To call it a slap in the face
<v Speaker 1>would not even be adequate. I don't even think that
<v Speaker 1>those words are adequate enough to describe what a show
<v Speaker 1>of disrespect that would be for someone who has really
<v Speaker 1>elevated SmackDown in recent months, which is a shit show,
<v Speaker 1>but elevated it in a way where if he wasn't there,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the fuck I would be looking
<v Speaker 1>at on that show. It's like the best thing on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown to look forward to every week. Johnny Gargano planking,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you tell me now. I guess you could
<v Speaker 1>argue it's this occasional Ray Phoenix triple A cruiserweight title defense.
<v Speaker 1>It's defending a championship that doesn't even belong on the
<v Speaker 1>main roster, doesn't even it belongs to a different promotion.
<v Speaker 1>You know, you try to pick and choose the things
<v Speaker 1>that you like, and you look forward to the most.
<v Speaker 1>Carmelo Hayes, let's get him going again, you know, Dragon
<v Speaker 1>of hopefully they'll get him back soon wherever he's been.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, my god, So of course it's great now
<v Speaker 1>to have CM punk on SmackDown. Thank God. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they could use that shot in the arm. Sammy just
<v Speaker 1>doesn't fit into that, seemingly doesn't fit into that. We
<v Speaker 1>know what the direction is going to be. But I
<v Speaker 1>do think it's a missed opportunity. You could have had
<v Speaker 1>title matches with Sammy where it's like man every night
<v Speaker 1>that he's defending that belt be his last, but somehow
<v Speaker 1>he finds a way to hang on. They didn't have
<v Speaker 1>any interest in doing that. They never did. We know
<v Speaker 1>that now, so it sucks. I do feel bad for
<v Speaker 1>him that he never had a chance to really run
<v Speaker 1>with it. I think that I think he would have
<v Speaker 1>done fine. I understand people who were not a fan
<v Speaker 1>of putting the belt on him. They don't like him,
<v Speaker 1>they don't think he looks the part. They think it's unrealistic,
<v Speaker 1>or you know, whatever their thoughts and opinions are on it.
<v Speaker 1>But again, you can find examples of people over the
<v Speaker 1>years that have held the championship in this company that
<v Speaker 1>would fit the same mold, you know, and some of
<v Speaker 1>those cases they did just fine. I have no doubt
<v Speaker 1>that Sammy's ain could have carried the belt for a
<v Speaker 1>couple of months. He got nine days. Now we'll see
<v Speaker 1>what the Summer Slide match is going to be. For
<v Speaker 1>his sake, I just hope they don't blow it off.
<v Speaker 1>It's Saturday Night's main event, you know, because if they do,
<v Speaker 1>then he ain't going to Summer Slim, not in anything
<v Speaker 1>meaningful anyway. But it was a great main event. I
<v Speaker 1>will say that. I will say that that was Monday
<v Speaker 1>Night Raw kind of a big deal. With Punk being
<v Speaker 1>back and now having the championship, that that certainly takes
<v Speaker 1>things in a different direction than they were a week
<v Speaker 1>ago when we were talking about this show. Well, we
<v Speaker 1>blew past all of the early goals and you guys
<v Speaker 1>were on fire, and I've lost track. I want to say,
<v Speaker 1>we have five rounds. I believe it would be the
<v Speaker 1>Sammy planking with Gargano at SummerSlam. You actually think Johnny
<v Speaker 1>Gargano would get a Summer Slam match. What drugs are
<v Speaker 1>you on? I want what he's having. Maybe they could
<v Speaker 1>have a planking match. I may have to add that
<v Speaker 1>stipulation to be the booker a planking match. At the
<v Speaker 1>end of the day, it becomes a lot easier to
<v Speaker 1>understand when you look at it from the perspective of
<v Speaker 1>they go where the stars are, WWE and TKO. They
<v Speaker 1>go where they feel the money is going to be,
<v Speaker 1>and for their second biggest show of the year, the
<v Speaker 1>money is going to be in CM Punk and not
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's a. The money is going to be in CM
<v Speaker 1>Punk against Cody Rhodes. Although you could have kept the
<v Speaker 1>belt on Sammy and had him defending against Punk and
<v Speaker 1>or Cody, they felt differently. They wanted that belt more
<v Speaker 1>important to them to have the championship on Punk, even
<v Speaker 1>though him just walking in and getting a title shot
<v Speaker 1>is kind of ridiculous, But in their view, he's Cempunk,
<v Speaker 1>so you can excuse it. And that's just the reality
<v Speaker 1>of it, all right. So I think we're doing four.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's four rounds of be the booker. You
<v Speaker 1>guys will keep you posting on that. Hey, Joseph Stawer,
<v Speaker 1>thank you brother for being with us. Tonight, A Happy
<v Speaker 1>Monday to you as well. I did read through these
<v Speaker 1>messages that you sent in earlier, because you were the first,
<v Speaker 1>so I am aware of everything that you have written here.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't actually not know about any of this. I
<v Speaker 1>get my Batman updates from you on what's going on
<v Speaker 1>with this new movie and some of these past trivia facts.
<v Speaker 1>I did want to mention this one though, the nine
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine I've mentioned to you before. I have not
<v Speaker 1>seen the animated series, but I definitely want to watch
<v Speaker 1>it before the clay Face movie comes out in October,
<v Speaker 1>because apparently on the animated show, I think in the
<v Speaker 1>first two or three episodes, right, they have a double
<v Speaker 1>I think a double episode covering the clay Face character.
<v Speaker 1>And apparently the new movie is based or inspired by
<v Speaker 1>those episodes of Batman the animated series. So I would
<v Speaker 1>like to check out the series at some point. It's
<v Speaker 1>got a pretty high score too on IMDb. Yeah, Batman
<v Speaker 1>the Animated Series. Happy eightieth birthday to sel Val. Are
<v Speaker 1>you serious? Is Sylvester stallone eighty years old today? Oh?
<v Speaker 1>My god? Eighty years old looking the way he does?
<v Speaker 1>And eighty first for Bert, I didn't even know Bert
<v Speaker 1>Ward was still alive. Today's the anniversary of Goldberg beating
<v Speaker 1>Hogan at the Georgia Dome. I did mention that from
<v Speaker 1>the very top of the review tonight, buy or sells
<v Speaker 1>Sting against Hogan, it's star K ninety seven or Goldberg
<v Speaker 1>against Hogan on Nitro? I mean, how is this even
<v Speaker 1>a question? Joseph? Come on now, how is this even
<v Speaker 1>a question? Are you kidding me? Goldberg and Hogan in
<v Speaker 1>ninety eight is one of the best matches in the
<v Speaker 1>history of the company, not because of anything that they
<v Speaker 1>did in the ring per se, but just it is
<v Speaker 1>truly one of the biggest, if not the biggest match
<v Speaker 1>that they have ever done. Sting and Hogan meant more
<v Speaker 1>to the by rate, but the match was fucking terrible. Obviously,
<v Speaker 1>I'm selling on that. Do you remember when Raven had
<v Speaker 1>his therapy sessions with his family on nitro? Sandman appeared
<v Speaker 1>during the therapy session, says Raven's best for I actually
<v Speaker 1>don't remember. I don't remember that. I don't remember Sandman
<v Speaker 1>being there for that. Man Bain Bain's pretty high up
<v Speaker 1>there on my list of Batman villas. Where I rank
<v Speaker 1>him is probably something like maybe like four maybe anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I hope you had a wonderful fourth a July solo
<v Speaker 1>monster and have a blessed in safe day today you
<v Speaker 1>as well, Joseph, I hope you had a happy fourth.
<v Speaker 1>Philip Bowman was Swerves blade Job at Forbidden Door worse
<v Speaker 1>than Eddie Guerrero's Judgment Day Blade Job? I would say
<v Speaker 1>yes it was. It was quite disgusting how much blood
<v Speaker 1>he and Osprey lost, but Swerves was much worse. Death side.
<v Speaker 1>How does Sonic get a hold of the ladies. He
<v Speaker 1>gives them rings? Gives them rings? The real CS two
<v Speaker 1>with a nine ninety nine, with guys like new Day
<v Speaker 1>and Shamous leaving due of refusing to accept a pay cut.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder how long until names like Natty, miss is
<v Speaker 1>It Truth, et cetera are either cut or asked to
<v Speaker 1>take a pay cut. I would be willing to bet
<v Speaker 1>that some of them have already been asked to take
<v Speaker 1>a pay cut, and if they're still around, they probably
<v Speaker 1>said yes. I'm sure there are talents that have said yes.
<v Speaker 1>We hear about the ones that say no. That doesn't
<v Speaker 1>mean that there aren't that have said yes, and they're
<v Speaker 1>probably still making very good money. They're just making a
<v Speaker 1>lot less than they used to make. But you know,
<v Speaker 1>some of these people that have been working there for
<v Speaker 1>so just so many years, they're probably making a lot
<v Speaker 1>of money, to the point where even taking a forty
<v Speaker 1>or fifty percent pay cut is more than they would
<v Speaker 1>make pretty much anywhere else. We don't hear, but we
<v Speaker 1>don't hear about the ones that said yes. We only
<v Speaker 1>hear about the ones that say no. Uh gmb with
<v Speaker 1>a fort ninety nine. I think the profits dropped the
<v Speaker 1>titles is because Bianca and Dawk's wife are due soon.
<v Speaker 1>I feel bad for bron though he's above this awful
<v Speaker 1>faction he is. I just feel like it's it's just
<v Speaker 1>diminishing him. Every week that goes by, it's just diminishing him.
<v Speaker 1>It's beneath him. Thank you. Brother Rizzo says, yes, Sammy
<v Speaker 1>lost the belt. He's very excited that Sammy's Ain is
<v Speaker 1>no longer the champion. Death Side says Stan Stasiac, who
<v Speaker 1>was also a Canadian, held the WWE championship for nine days. Interesting,
<v Speaker 1>so Sammy's Ain is not the first Canadian to hold
<v Speaker 1>the belt for nine days. Johnny Bernie says, for me,
<v Speaker 1>the action is in the juice. He has this in quotations,
<v Speaker 1>a quote from someone. He says, Yeah, we can tell
<v Speaker 1>Big Papa Punk, Big Papa Punk crazy says, I laugh
<v Speaker 1>my so off when Michael Cole said we are all
<v Speaker 1>shocked at Punk's return. Well, I mean, Michael Cole is
<v Speaker 1>an idiot, so he has said you kind of expect
<v Speaker 1>that he's gonna say a lot of stupid shit on TV.
<v Speaker 1>None of this should be surprising. Andre Jefferson. Actually, Johnny
<v Speaker 1>Bernie says, watch Sammy end up on a crate like
<v Speaker 1>Johnny for months? Oh my god, I hadn't thought about that.
<v Speaker 1>What if Sammy's new gimmick is that he is so
<v Speaker 1>depressed over losing the belt he's planking next to Gargano
<v Speaker 1>every week. Andre Jefferson says, Triple H's booking is so atrocious.
<v Speaker 1>We were so focused on Sammy. Who knew the street
<v Speaker 1>profit Oh, who knew the street profits were about to
<v Speaker 1>suffer the same thing. Well, I told you earlier why
<v Speaker 1>I think they may have dropped the belts. I think
<v Speaker 1>they may be going away soon. And if they do,
<v Speaker 1>congrats to them. You have to go away. It's not
<v Speaker 1>a bad reason to go away. Unlike Kyrie saying that
<v Speaker 1>was a very bad reason that she went away. They
<v Speaker 1>never even finished their own story. Death Sithe dropping some
<v Speaker 1>bombs here. You've got a magenta bomb this guy. On Friday,
<v Speaker 1>you mentioned that Punkin Austin a wrestlemanie of forty three
<v Speaker 1>would be best in the world versus the best of
<v Speaker 1>all time. All they need now is the best there is,
<v Speaker 1>the best, there was, the best there ever will be
<v Speaker 1>to be the moderator for the contract signing. I think
<v Speaker 1>if he was asked, he would do it. I think
<v Speaker 1>Punkin and Austin are probably two of his favorite people
<v Speaker 1>in wrestling. But again, I see no need to do
<v Speaker 1>the match. I see no need to do the match
<v Speaker 1>at all. I was just asked the hypothetical. I said,
<v Speaker 1>if you were going to do it, this is how
<v Speaker 1>it should be builled and promoted. I think that ship
<v Speaker 1>sailed a long time ago. Everyone's talking about wanting something new,
<v Speaker 1>something fresh. I know, let's do Stone Cold and CM
<v Speaker 1>punk your WrestleMania. Sure, fifteen years ago we got the
<v Speaker 1>working Man. I love you, Solo Monster, he says in
<v Speaker 1>the Jacob Fatu voice, Thank you, my friend. The working
<v Speaker 1>man is always hard at work. Bucky freaking dent with
<v Speaker 1>a five dollars super chat. When you hear the phrase
<v Speaker 1>the Big Red Machine, do you think of Cain or
<v Speaker 1>the Cincinnati Reds. I think of I think of that gum.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, what was that gum? And they're red
<v Speaker 1>and white. It was a brand of gum. I actually think, oh,
<v Speaker 1>big Red duh. I think of big Red gum, and
<v Speaker 1>then I think of Kane. Death Side says Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 1>won the WWE title in an empty warehouse at wrestle
<v Speaker 1>Mania at thirty six, he failed to win it back.
<v Speaker 1>At WrestleMania at thirty seven, he won the World Heavyweight
<v Speaker 1>Championship and then had his moment immediately ruined at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>of forty. It feels like they're giving Drew Nito's ten
<v Speaker 1>year Wrestle Kingdom story arc with WrestleMania. Well, let us
<v Speaker 1>hope that by the time we get to the payoff
<v Speaker 1>for his arc, he can move a little bit better
<v Speaker 1>than Nito does, because Nito is washed. You know what,
<v Speaker 1>I just realized, if McIntyre is going to be back
<v Speaker 1>soon and Sammy has nothing to do, he could just
<v Speaker 1>lose to Drew McIntyre again. He can go like zero
<v Speaker 1>for twelve. Death Site says, hopefully a baby Phace Drew
<v Speaker 1>will win the WWE Championship in the WrestleMania of forty
<v Speaker 1>six nine two main events, and his opponent should be Cody,
<v Speaker 1>because I believe Drew was supposed to be the one
<v Speaker 1>to de throne Roman and become the FOTC. If Cody
<v Speaker 1>did not the FOTC, what does that mean the Sheltered Kid?
<v Speaker 1>Remember the John Cena classic? Neither do? I? Yeah, whatever
<v Speaker 1>happened to that? I mean, we were told it was
<v Speaker 1>gonna happen at the end of the year, so I
<v Speaker 1>guess they're they're working on it. Why did it need
<v Speaker 1>to be announced so early in the year. They had
<v Speaker 1>absolutely nothing planned out for it. It's like, quick, we
<v Speaker 1>got to make the announcement. So then they go and
<v Speaker 1>they have seen him make the announcement and they talk
<v Speaker 1>about fan voting and stuff, and then a few weeks
<v Speaker 1>ago I see seen as an interviews talking about how
<v Speaker 1>we really have to figure out this fan voting concept
<v Speaker 1>because I really don't want people to like hijacket and
<v Speaker 1>troll the shit out of it. And I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>why didn't you think this out before you went and
<v Speaker 1>publicly announced that you were going to have fan voting.
<v Speaker 1>Alexander says punk should wear an Uffa Lafa on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>Now that's La Knight's gimmick. Spooky Electric thirty one, twenty one.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't until I saw an interview with Raimi Sebby
<v Speaker 1>that I realized what a great character Sammy's saying. The
<v Speaker 1>person and the wrestler are very different. He has created
<v Speaker 1>a fabulous character, serious props. He tries to pay attention
<v Speaker 1>to a lot of the like nuances, like he ever
<v Speaker 1>listened to him talk about wrestling. He's very cerebral. He
<v Speaker 1>clearly puts a lot of thought into what he does
<v Speaker 1>and how he presents himself, even even when he was
<v Speaker 1>doing the bloodline stuff. You know, the the honorary used
<v Speaker 1>and all that. The sheltered kid. What is something that
<v Speaker 1>WWE does all the time that makes no sense logically?
<v Speaker 1>For example, I hate when the gms don't plan for
<v Speaker 1>the fucking main events. Oh I hate when they are
<v Speaker 1>hold on a second. The fresh Makers carry your mentos
<v Speaker 1>always see this is why Sammy Zan lost the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 1>If he had one of these in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>the match. Tonight with punk. He could have been like ah,
<v Speaker 1>and then he could have just busted out his mentos
<v Speaker 1>and he would have kept the title. He would have
<v Speaker 1>figured out some ingenious way to like roll him up
<v Speaker 1>or something and keep the belt. You need your mentos,
<v Speaker 1>Hey Yuki Oh rules with the thirty dollars mentos the
<v Speaker 1>fresh Maker super Chat. It's still one of my favorite
<v Speaker 1>all time commercials. I said, I got to make a
<v Speaker 1>super chat, thank you brother. But to go back to
<v Speaker 1>the Sheltered Kid in his question here, I did a
<v Speaker 1>whole video. It was a segment actually on the sound
<v Speaker 1>of but I pulled the video for the YouTube channel,
<v Speaker 1>so you should go check it out if you missed it.
<v Speaker 1>This was months ago on Common Wrestling. Trappes that just
<v Speaker 1>bug the shit out of me or just make me laugh,
<v Speaker 1>So go check out that video. But like for example,
<v Speaker 1>there are so many times on these shows where the
<v Speaker 1>GM will make multiple matches throughout the night for the show.
<v Speaker 1>Like it's one thing. If let's say you make one match,
<v Speaker 1>there are legitimately weeks where like Nick all this usually
<v Speaker 1>it's all this, but it could be Adam Pierce. They
<v Speaker 1>will legitimately make three or four new matches in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the show, and it's like, did they not
<v Speaker 1>have anything planned? Who got bumped? Do they just sit
<v Speaker 1>around all week doing nothing, hoping that during the course
<v Speaker 1>of the show every week matches will just naturally sort
<v Speaker 1>of materialize. Like, what a terrible general manager. It makes
<v Speaker 1>no sense to me, you have all week to plan
<v Speaker 1>a card g Barry Free. I don't know if I'm overreact,
<v Speaker 1>but that Seth promo was excruciating. Never been more happy
<v Speaker 1>to hear La Knight's music. I wouldn't say excruciating. It
<v Speaker 1>was boring. It was a boring promo. You know, he
<v Speaker 1>didn't have anything of any real interest to say. It
<v Speaker 1>doesn't help that his opponent wasn't on the show. What's
<v Speaker 1>he supposed to do? Thankfully we had La Night come
<v Speaker 1>out to interrupt San Juan Wolf with the nineteen ninety
<v Speaker 1>nine in k fabe. Adam Pierce is the worst general
<v Speaker 1>manager in WWE history. Dude can hardly run his own show,
<v Speaker 1>hardly has his world champions defend their titles, yet decides
<v Speaker 1>it's only fair that Sammy's ain defends his he should
<v Speaker 1>be fired. So then you're gonna have no general manager
<v Speaker 1>for any show. He's running both shows. You're gonna fire him?
<v Speaker 1>You going to replace him with gotta have a backup plan?
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit wrestling. I have CM punk in Chicago fatigue. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>well I have more Cody fatigue than I do CM
<v Speaker 1>punk in Chicago fatigue death sithe. At least Brock and
<v Speaker 1>Roman have the excuse of being part timers. What is
<v Speaker 1>Live Morgan's excuse? Terrible booking in kfab But I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what her excuse is. She's not injured, She's just
<v Speaker 1>a terrible champion. Aaron says Live should have feuded with
<v Speaker 1>Bailey and Lyra and she could have been the catalyst
<v Speaker 1>to cause Lyra to turn against Bailey. Well, you've just
<v Speaker 1>done a better job than WWE did and trying to
<v Speaker 1>think of something for Live Morgan to do. Congratulations, You've
<v Speaker 1>just put more thought an effort into it then Triple
<v Speaker 1>Ah and his merry band of misfits? Did Prince begeta
<v Speaker 1>ninety five? I gotta say bron Breaker is absolutely neutered.
<v Speaker 1>Dude went from being the Royal Rumble favorite and a
<v Speaker 1>possible WrestleMania main event position this year to being stuck
<v Speaker 1>in a tag team and barely getting Mike time. That's
<v Speaker 1>why I said, man, like this, this whole vision thing,
<v Speaker 1>for the sake of bron Breaker, it needs to end.
<v Speaker 1>It's not benefiting him in any meaningful way at all
<v Speaker 1>at all. He was neutered. People may disagree with me.
<v Speaker 1>I would have put the World Championship on him in November.
<v Speaker 1>I would have just taken it. I would have taken
<v Speaker 1>a flyer and said, Okay, look he's he's still a younger,
<v Speaker 1>newer guy, but so what this is what we need?
<v Speaker 1>Fuck it. You can argue, oh, when he's not ready yet,
<v Speaker 1>or you got a way to give him his big
<v Speaker 1>moment at wrestlem it a fuck that fuck that. You
<v Speaker 1>could have put the belt on him on Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event November first, twenty twenty five, right after he
<v Speaker 1>booted Seth Rollins out of the vision. You could have
<v Speaker 1>scrapped the rocket to him. You could have ran with it.
<v Speaker 1>You could have ran with it. What's the harm? What's
<v Speaker 1>the harm? They didn't do that. He's been neutered ever since.
<v Speaker 1>Paul Carpenter says, if you build it, it will come.
<v Speaker 1>Congrats on the story. Yes, I finish my story. Fill
<v Speaker 1>fill with the nine ninety nine Hey, Solo, would you
<v Speaker 1>be open to sammy' z ain being added to the
<v Speaker 1>SummerSlam main event with Cody and Punk. I would save
<v Speaker 1>Cody versus Punk for a later date. Also, I think
<v Speaker 1>Maxine Dupries still sucks. Thank you, Phil, Yes, I would
<v Speaker 1>as much. As much as I really do want to
<v Speaker 1>see Cody and Punk one on one, I really hope
<v Speaker 1>they add Samy ts that match. If Cody it deserves
<v Speaker 1>a rematch. There's no good reason why Sammy doesn't, because
<v Speaker 1>Cody lost Farren Square a Night of Champions and Sammy
<v Speaker 1>lost Farren Square's and why does Cody need a rematch
<v Speaker 1>and not Sammy. My guess is we're gonna get Cody
<v Speaker 1>against Sammy at Madison Square Garden. Cody's gonna win, and
<v Speaker 1>then he's gonna get Punk at SummerSlam. They need some
<v Speaker 1>big matches for that Saturday. I mean that Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event show is dying on the vine, like fucking
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen against j D McDonough and Paige and Bribella
<v Speaker 1>against Fatal Influence. That's all they have announced so far.
<v Speaker 1>That's it. So they have to be saving some kind
<v Speaker 1>of big match for the main event at least fucking
<v Speaker 1>Madison Square Garden. What are you kidding me? Shows less
<v Speaker 1>than two weeks away. That's the card you put together?
<v Speaker 1>Oh we got Hassen Cargbow with a magenta bomb. Sammy
<v Speaker 1>deserves better. He summed it up very succinctly. I'm sorry, brother.
<v Speaker 1>I know he didn't enjoy the outcome of that main event,
<v Speaker 1>and that I could tell. Phil says, hey, Solo, did
<v Speaker 1>you ever get your AC fixed? I figured out what
<v Speaker 1>the issue was. Once the heat wave ended, it started
<v Speaker 1>functioning again. I don't think these window and wall AC
<v Speaker 1>units are really equipped to deal with one hundred degree
<v Speaker 1>heat waves and running constantly for twenty four to forty
<v Speaker 1>eight hours. I feel like they overheat and they probably
<v Speaker 1>shut the compressor off just to kind of protect itself.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a self preservation thing. So thankfully I didn't
<v Speaker 1>have to bring it in anywhere. I just had to
<v Speaker 1>sweat it out a little bit. Thankfully the heat wave
<v Speaker 1>has broken. Justin g why not do the bonus while
<v Speaker 1>we're He contributed to the bonus, which one though we
<v Speaker 1>had like four bonuses, we have four rounds. I believe
<v Speaker 1>be the booker coming still to come. Don't go nowhere.
<v Speaker 1>Phil says, we ain't playing around tonight solo. We want
<v Speaker 1>Double be the Booker. Oh my god, he wanted double
<v Speaker 1>How old is this message? How many? How many more
<v Speaker 1>do we have? Says Come on, let's get Triple Be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker. I got a long day of work tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>I need this review to be long. The sheltered kid,
<v Speaker 1>you have no idea how happy I'm proud I am
<v Speaker 1>of you being number one. I literally watch you every day.
<v Speaker 1>You're my favorite podcast and YouTuber. All the Monster sounds
<v Speaker 1>up for life. I love hearing that. Man, that's really cool.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate that. I'm glad you enjoy the content. It
<v Speaker 1>can be a slog sometimes I enjoy it. It's not hard,
<v Speaker 1>it's just it's very time consuming. So it's nice to
<v Speaker 1>know at least that people do like it and appreciate it.
<v Speaker 1>So when I get a message like that, it's very cool.
<v Speaker 1>Justin says Yippy Skippy versus suffering Sucketash book it, brother.
<v Speaker 1>I'll take Yippie Skippy over suffering suck Atash any day
<v Speaker 1>of the week. Justin activated Triple Be the Booker, so
<v Speaker 1>you're the one I can credit. Death Side says when
<v Speaker 1>it comes to La Night. It pains me to say.
<v Speaker 1>The only way I can see him winning the WWE title.
<v Speaker 1>Best case scenario, he holds onto it for a month.
<v Speaker 1>Worst case scenario, he is immediately cashed in on. I
<v Speaker 1>think the only way that La Night is gonna win
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship is if he accidentally wins it in
<v Speaker 1>the referee fucks up the count. It's gonna be the
<v Speaker 1>only way. At this point, it would have to be
<v Speaker 1>by accident. Fill with a nine ninety nine. Imagine being
<v Speaker 1>at a company for thirteen years, finally getting the promotion
<v Speaker 1>that you've always wanted and then having it taken away
<v Speaker 1>just nine days later. That's exactly how I feel about Sammy. Well,
<v Speaker 1>yes and no, it's not like he's making any less
<v Speaker 1>money now than he was twenty four hours ago. It
<v Speaker 1>is important to keep perspective on these things, though. I
<v Speaker 1>think when you're the champion or you're involved in the
<v Speaker 1>main events scene, you get more screen time, which means
<v Speaker 1>you get more opportunities to be on the show and
<v Speaker 1>maybe do stuff outside the ring as well. So you know,
<v Speaker 1>wins and losses in championships they do mean something, right,
<v Speaker 1>They're not real, You're not winning anything. We know this right,
<v Speaker 1>it's all a work, not a real sport. We get it.
<v Speaker 1>But it does mean something, so you're not wrong about that.
<v Speaker 1>But at the same time, like you get a promotion,
<v Speaker 1>usually get a pay raise. It's not like they took
<v Speaker 1>his pay raise away. He's still making the same money
<v Speaker 1>he was making. Well, I guess unless TKO comes to
<v Speaker 1>him asking for a fucking pay cut, he's still making
<v Speaker 1>what he was making before. I just hope that he's
<v Speaker 1>not shunned away so quickly. He should still be in
<v Speaker 1>that main picture on Smackdow Phil, thank you again for
<v Speaker 1>the nine ninety nine we got melic gaming. Would this
<v Speaker 1>make sense? Says Punk beats Cody at SummerSlam, Cody then
<v Speaker 1>turns Homelander after Cody feud. Punk feuds with Gunther after
<v Speaker 1>Gunther finish off twenty twenty six, with him losing to
<v Speaker 1>Sammy or returning Drew McIntyre. Would it make sense? Sure?
<v Speaker 1>Do I want to see it play out that way? No,
<v Speaker 1>We've already seen punkin McIntyre. You blew it off in
<v Speaker 1>the best possible way inside hell in a cell. I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to see them go back to it, Sammy.
<v Speaker 1>I think Sammy is done as far as the world
<v Speaker 1>title this year, at least this year. He's not getting
<v Speaker 1>that belt back. I don't think he's gonna get the
<v Speaker 1>belt back again, so cross that off the list. Cody
<v Speaker 1>and gunh are a Punk and Gunther. We've seen it already.
<v Speaker 1>I honestly don't really want to see it again. We
<v Speaker 1>saw it at Summerslim last year. That's good enough for me.
<v Speaker 1>I need something something better than this. I need something different.
<v Speaker 1>You can make it make sense what you've just laid out,
<v Speaker 1>but it's not what I really want to see. You
<v Speaker 1>know what I really would love to see now that
<v Speaker 1>Punk has the belt, if he's gonna have it for
<v Speaker 1>a while, we need a Kevin Owens return, like in
<v Speaker 1>the worst way on SmackDown. And I know they've been
<v Speaker 1>very off and on over the years, but as happy
<v Speaker 1>and proud as he was of his friend winning that championship,
<v Speaker 1>now you've given him a reason to have beef with
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk for showing up unannounced and taking the championship
<v Speaker 1>away from Sammy's ain. Or maybe he comes at it
<v Speaker 1>from from a different perspective and says it should have
<v Speaker 1>been me taking the belt away from Sammy's inane and
<v Speaker 1>so there you go. You got you already have an
<v Speaker 1>inspiration for a CM punk. Kevin Owens viewed. I really
<v Speaker 1>hope we get him back soon. Death Site says, can
<v Speaker 1>we get all this in Piers in a bar fight
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam? See that's unfair though, because all this all this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if he's a teetotaler, but Pierce is
<v Speaker 1>clearly an alcoholic, so he would be distracted in a
<v Speaker 1>bar fight. That doesn't really feel fair to me. Prince
<v Speaker 1>Maga says, I gotta say thank you Seamus Main event,
<v Speaker 1>upper mid card or tag team. He always knocked it
<v Speaker 1>out of the park. In my opinion, he deserved the
<v Speaker 1>IC at least once. Whatever role you put in men,
<v Speaker 1>he always excelled. Randy Bobandy with a forty nine to
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine. Well, I missed the show, got drunk, started
<v Speaker 1>to rewatch shameless while making some viscous spaghetti. Hmm. Just
<v Speaker 1>wanted to drop in, show some love and send a
<v Speaker 1>bow bandy bomb. He's gonna try to get that over.
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna try to get a bull bandy bomb over
<v Speaker 1>as a thing works for me. I love the bow
<v Speaker 1>bandy bombs. Enjoy your viscous spaghetti. It's kind of an
<v Speaker 1>odd way of putting it. Jeremy Rose says, Pierce will
<v Speaker 1>accuse all this of stealing punk from Raw Good. Let's
<v Speaker 1>get a feud going between the two general managers. Not
<v Speaker 1>for this, mister nice guide bullshit death Side says Maxine
<v Speaker 1>and Theory as the IT couple. There's only one IT
<v Speaker 1>couple in WWE all time, and that's Macho Man and Elizabeth.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, man, we went from the days of Macho
<v Speaker 1>Man and Elizabeth now to the the even better days
<v Speaker 1>of Austin Theory and Maxine Dupree. Jeremy says this leads
<v Speaker 1>to more contention between the gms. I'm all for it.
<v Speaker 1>Let's build it up. I'm sure all this has indulged
<v Speaker 1>in the occasional pint of the London fog. Freddie McCrae, congratulations,
<v Speaker 1>Sola Monster. Like Sammy's a, nobody can ever take this
<v Speaker 1>moment from you. That's right, No one's gonna be beating
<v Speaker 1>me for this moment. I can fall back down to
<v Speaker 1>number two, number five, it don't matter. I got that
<v Speaker 1>number one spot. Unlike Sammy's Ain, nobody can take that
<v Speaker 1>away from me, he says, a transitional champion is still
<v Speaker 1>a champion. The Summer of SoundOff. I like that. I
<v Speaker 1>like that Summer of SoundOff. As we rapidly approach episode
<v Speaker 1>one thousand. Thank you, Freddy Jim. Oh I thought this,
<v Speaker 1>said Jim JM. Maybe his name is Jim. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what'll claim JM. Knowing WWE, they'll have Cody beat
<v Speaker 1>Punk so they can run Cody versus Roman. It crowned jewel.
<v Speaker 1>Oh God, what is your crown jewel predictions for men's
<v Speaker 1>and women's Well, I mean I would hope EO beats
<v Speaker 1>Live so we can end this horrendous reign. And Rhea
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what her injury status is, but I
<v Speaker 1>would love to see EO and Rhea a crown jewel.
<v Speaker 1>As far as the World Heavyweight Championship, Roman will be
<v Speaker 1>the champion. God, I mean, the Roman and Punk seems
<v Speaker 1>very likely to me. Right now. I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>see the belt back on Cody, Not right now. I
<v Speaker 1>just I don't want to see that to take the
<v Speaker 1>belt off Cody, to put it on Sammy, to put
<v Speaker 1>it on Punk, to put it back on Cody. Like
<v Speaker 1>I'm getting dizzy just saying that out loud. What is
<v Speaker 1>the purpose of this? James Crawford with the one hundred
<v Speaker 1>dollars Red of the night. So I love you Solo,
<v Speaker 1>You're my IWC tribal chief. It's mutual, James, thank you
<v Speaker 1>for the love. Who place my ula falla around your neck?
<v Speaker 1>As Roman did to Jacob? Can we talk about that too?
<v Speaker 1>By the way, Jacob fat to someone who actually had
<v Speaker 1>real momentum after beating Drew McIntyre coming out of WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>went on to get beat twice by Roman Reigns, and
<v Speaker 1>Jacob Fotu has been a complete non factor on television
<v Speaker 1>ever since. He's just another guy on the show. It's terrible.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy Rose says, Saturday Night's main event is looking like
<v Speaker 1>it is now WWF Superstars, not even superstars, dude, it's
<v Speaker 1>freaking velocity. They better shape that card up real quick.
<v Speaker 1>I have to imagine they have something up their sleeve,
<v Speaker 1>because for a Madison Square Garden show, that is an embarrassment.
<v Speaker 1>Death Side says it's funny how Dan Housen says he's
<v Speaker 1>very evil. I think nineteen ninety one. Jake Roberts two
<v Speaker 1>thousand and three, brock Lesner two thousand and eight Chris
<v Speaker 1>Jericho and two thousand and nine Randy Orton would disagree.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody says he's very nice as well. He goes back
<v Speaker 1>and forth. He's very nice, very evil. There was nothing
<v Speaker 1>nice about any of the men you just mentioned. Freddy
<v Speaker 1>Ciampunk lost his first championship when Cody and Legacy attacked
<v Speaker 1>him in the head before he could defend his title
<v Speaker 1>that night hashtag poetic justice. Oh that was the night
<v Speaker 1>they did the scramble right and Chris Jericho won a
<v Speaker 1>terrible scramble match. Never a fan of that stipulation. The
<v Speaker 1>Shaunathan I think as of right now, with Sammy's Ain
<v Speaker 1>kind of playing between face and heel, should be a
<v Speaker 1>favorite for Money in the Bank in October by evolving
<v Speaker 1>the last good guy. Sammy's Ain winning the briefcase actually
<v Speaker 1>does make a lot of sense. But honestly, like they
<v Speaker 1>probably would have him cashing to lose, I don't see
<v Speaker 1>him getting it back, dude. Bass Beers says, hell in
<v Speaker 1>a Sale seems like a big escalation. It is. It's
<v Speaker 1>the perfect blowoff to a feud. That's why I said before,
<v Speaker 1>like to go back to punk and McIntyre, like no
<v Speaker 1>been there done that, you had the perfect ending to it.
<v Speaker 1>Leave it alone. Base bears. Thank you for the the two,
<v Speaker 1>and there's another two, he says. Hey Yo Desai says
<v Speaker 1>buyer sell on these two matches that should have gotten
<v Speaker 1>five stars from Meltzer, but on one match of the
<v Speaker 1>year in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated. The other one match
<v Speaker 1>of the year in the Observer Rock versus Hogan at
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania eighteen, or Angle Ben Wir versus Edge and Ray
<v Speaker 1>at No Mercy. Oh, that was two thousand and two.
<v Speaker 1>That was a great match, Rock Hogan. I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>just want to if you want to go based on
<v Speaker 1>work rate, then you go with the tech match. If
<v Speaker 1>you want to go based on what I think is
<v Speaker 1>an example of a five star professional wrestling match, it's
<v Speaker 1>Rock Hogan WrestleMania eighteen. Just the psychology of it, the
<v Speaker 1>way they were able to just play the crowd, Rock
<v Speaker 1>having to sort of a adapt as the match went
<v Speaker 1>on once he realized that he was the villain, even
<v Speaker 1>though he really wasn't the villain in the story, but
<v Speaker 1>he sort of went with it and just building to
<v Speaker 1>that moment where Hogan hulked up and nostalgia it's a
<v Speaker 1>hell of a drug. Man, everything just the stars aligned,
<v Speaker 1>Like that match is pro wrestler, it's great, super pony.
<v Speaker 1>How do you think Sammy feels right now? Not too good.
<v Speaker 1>You know, he got a lot of really genuine messages
<v Speaker 1>all week long from colleagues, probably tons of phone calls
<v Speaker 1>and text messages and dms and people who work with
<v Speaker 1>him who were genuinely happy for and I'm sure they're
<v Speaker 1>all bummed. I mean they they're all wrestlers, they all
<v Speaker 1>work there, they get it, they understand it, and yes
<v Speaker 1>it's a work, but they know him, they obviously like
<v Speaker 1>him and respect him, and they probably all feel really
<v Speaker 1>shitty for him right now. You know, he should feel
<v Speaker 1>really good about that match he had tonight. But I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure a big part of him is also like, man,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like nine fucking days, really nine days? Nick
<v Speaker 1>Grosso with the nine ninety nine. I think I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>like unhinged Lyra. Also next week, she goes face to
<v Speaker 1>face with Bailey in Texas, where Tatum Pasley is from.
<v Speaker 1>Does Tatum make her main roster debut and beat down
<v Speaker 1>Bailey with Lyra? I actually like that idea a lot.
<v Speaker 1>I think that would be a great way to debut
<v Speaker 1>Tatum Pasley. I like it super Pony. After tonight, I
<v Speaker 1>realized I shouldn't get excited about Ko coming back. They're
<v Speaker 1>not going to do anything good with him. He's forty
<v Speaker 1>two coming off a neck injury. Who's to say they
<v Speaker 1>don't ask him to take a pay cut. It's true,
<v Speaker 1>That's why they went to Seamus and asked him to
<v Speaker 1>take a pay cut. Older guy out with an injury,
<v Speaker 1>not really doing a whole lot making really good money,
<v Speaker 1>as I'm sure Owens is. I wouldn't be shocked if
<v Speaker 1>Owens was asked to take a pay cut at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Death Si says, just like Mankind, Sammy won the title
<v Speaker 1>in a triple threat and then dropped it on bra.
<v Speaker 1>That's right. He wanted it to SummerSlam the new one.
<v Speaker 1>I'm calling it now. Brock will lose to Oba in
<v Speaker 1>the Hell in a Cell. An undertaker will come out
<v Speaker 1>after the match and in Duck Brock Lesner into the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Hall of Fame Class of twenty twenty seven. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna say no, I don't think they've ever announced the
<v Speaker 1>Hall of Fame induction that early. I mean, look, I
<v Speaker 1>mean being in Minnesota. I guess, I mean, it could
<v Speaker 1>make for a nice moment for him if he gives
<v Speaker 1>a shit. I'm gonna say probably not, though. Retro Koh
<v Speaker 1>says Trivia, how long was Sammy's ain WWE champion Tony Kahan?
<v Speaker 1>Nine days, nine days, nine days? Yeah, what what was
<v Speaker 1>up with him that night? Man? Yeah? Those are the
<v Speaker 1>early days of the Dynamite reviews. Those are those are
<v Speaker 1>the COVID Dynamite reviews. From Daily's place, nine days you
<v Speaker 1>have nine days. Death Side says Oba should be the
<v Speaker 1>guy if Cody turns heel. Yes, Oba's on raw, But
<v Speaker 1>let's be honest, the brand split is about as meaningful
<v Speaker 1>as the Andre Battle Royal. I feel you, but they're
<v Speaker 1>building to Roman and Oba, so Oba's not going to
<v Speaker 1>be the guy who would have to take Cody's place
<v Speaker 1>as the top babyface on SmackDown. They probably have him
<v Speaker 1>already slotted in. On the other side, Devin from NJA says,
<v Speaker 1>buy your cell. Fans sing Roman Reigns or they sing
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes. Dude, I am fucking done with both of them.
<v Speaker 1>I'm at the point now where I just I can't
<v Speaker 1>stand either one when they sing, when they sing the names.
<v Speaker 1>It's very annoying, not not not annoying like the what chant,
<v Speaker 1>but it's it jumped the shark with me a while ago.
<v Speaker 1>We have Hercules. Hernandez is with us. Wow, from from
<v Speaker 1>the great Beyond, I have my Hercules Hernandez LJN somewhere
<v Speaker 1>in a box twenty dollars super chat. Just want to
<v Speaker 1>ask if you are sick of Roman in the Bloodline
<v Speaker 1>and how long are we going to keep getting Roman
<v Speaker 1>headlining WrestleMania listener since twenty eleven, Thank you, Hercules. Am
<v Speaker 1>I sick of Roman in the Bloodline? I'm I'm kind
<v Speaker 1>of over it, or at least I wish they would
<v Speaker 1>evolve the story into something actually interesting. Roman headlining WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>He's going to headline a whole bunch of more WrestleManias.
<v Speaker 1>We're not anywhere close to being done. In fact, I
<v Speaker 1>dare say we're in the oh. I don't know, sixth inning.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he's probably got at least four or five more
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania main events. Yu ki oh Rules, Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>everything you do solo. Also, does your brother have any
<v Speaker 1>favorite wrestlers from when you uh, when you all grew
<v Speaker 1>up together? Or currently from when we were growing up.
<v Speaker 1>I mean he was I think pretty much a fan
<v Speaker 1>of a lot of the same people I was, as
<v Speaker 1>far as you know, macho man, you know, mister perfect
<v Speaker 1>people like that. I don't think he had any like
<v Speaker 1>one person that like head and shoulders above the rest
<v Speaker 1>that he was like a massive fan of. Today he doesn't,
<v Speaker 1>I mean he barely pays attention to. He doesn't give
<v Speaker 1>a shit. So death Site says f OTC means face
<v Speaker 1>of the company. Okay, I don't know why some people
<v Speaker 1>were shocked. I didn't know what that means. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>does everybody know what FOTC means? Am I like the
<v Speaker 1>only one? Some of you make me feel like a leper.
<v Speaker 1>How do you not know what FOTC means? There was
<v Speaker 1>somebody before fuck me out of g I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I thought it meant fuck the OTC. And keep track
<v Speaker 1>of all these acronyms, He says, buy cell rent. What
<v Speaker 1>would hurt worse being bitten by a vampire, a zombie
<v Speaker 1>or a werewolf? What would hurt worse? I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>would imagine being bitten by a werewolf right beyond the
<v Speaker 1>actual bite. Like then when you have to like change
<v Speaker 1>into the werewolf. If you've seen somebody these like werewolf
<v Speaker 1>transformations in movies, like with the cgi effects and everything,
<v Speaker 1>it looks it looks awful, looks like looks like torture.
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't want to have to turn into a werewolf.
<v Speaker 1>Edward Brooks Bailey said Lyra was the person that kept
<v Speaker 1>her level headed. Perhaps voices come back and we will
<v Speaker 1>get Crazy Bailey against Angry Bird at SummerSlam Boy. They
<v Speaker 1>forgot all about Crazy Bailey and the voices, didn't they? EJ.
<v Speaker 1>Slump I consider you a top wrestling historian into history
<v Speaker 1>beyond wrestling? Am I into history beyond wrestling? Did you
<v Speaker 1>like history in school? I was a history major, and
<v Speaker 1>that's why I asked I did like history in school?
<v Speaker 1>I did? Yeah, I took even in college, I think
<v Speaker 1>I took I took politics history. Yeah, not like a
<v Speaker 1>savant or anything like that, but I took an interest.
<v Speaker 1>It's too bad more people don't. Mystic J forty four.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think that we'll get evolution again this year?
<v Speaker 1>No Deaths says why did Sonic dump Amy because she
<v Speaker 1>wanted to take things slow? Hmm. Paul Carpenter says, Lyra's
<v Speaker 1>not a bird girl anymore. She's a call call girl,
<v Speaker 1>a caca. I see, I see what you're saying. Don't
<v Speaker 1>quit your day job, Paul. I gotta leave it to
<v Speaker 1>the experts. Super Pony says, do you think Owens and
<v Speaker 1>Zane would get proper world title runs in ae W?
<v Speaker 1>I mean maybe not. They'd have a better chance at it,
<v Speaker 1>but not necessarily. There's so many more belts in aw
<v Speaker 1>that they don't have to be a world ship. Tony
<v Speaker 1>would just put the continental title on them. He'd have
<v Speaker 1>like Owen to win the Continental Classic or something. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't mind seeing Shamus in there. I'm not gonna lie
<v Speaker 1>in the C two. Death Size says if Amy Rose
<v Speaker 1>was a villain, I guarantee her theme song would be
<v Speaker 1>hammer smashed face by Cannibal Corpse. And super Pony says
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Steen MJF promo battles. I need it. That would
<v Speaker 1>be something, wouldn't it. Oh my god, those promos would
<v Speaker 1>be incredible. Death Size says, speaking of werewolves, I highly
<v Speaker 1>recommend the horror movie Dog Soldiers. I've not heard of
<v Speaker 1>that one. You know what? Movie actually kind of stuck
<v Speaker 1>with me for a while. I'm not even saying it's
<v Speaker 1>like a great movie. It's not like a horror movie.
<v Speaker 1>Actually at all. The situation is kind of a horror.
<v Speaker 1>But it was a movie with Justin Timberlake that came
<v Speaker 1>out probably like six or something. Maybe maybe it was earlier,
<v Speaker 1>Alpha Dog, which was either inspired by or based on
<v Speaker 1>an actual story, which makes it even worse. Man that
<v Speaker 1>movie that fucked me up. Man, just knowing that was
<v Speaker 1>a real life situation if you know the premise of
<v Speaker 1>the movie. That movie stuck with me. Actually Timberlake was
<v Speaker 1>not bad in that movie, but that movie, I know
<v Speaker 1>you mentioned you mentioned dogs. For some reason, I thought
<v Speaker 1>of Alpha Dog. I haven't seen that movie in forever,
<v Speaker 1>but yeah, that movie messed me up for a while. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I think we have gotten through. I believe all of
<v Speaker 1>the messages, all of the super chats man you got. Guys.
<v Speaker 1>We had a big week last week, and you guys
<v Speaker 1>have started this week off in a way that I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that we're gonna be able to top, although
<v Speaker 1>we do have a big dynamite coming up. Beach Break
<v Speaker 1>on Wednesday. Kenny Omega MJF for the aw World Championship
<v Speaker 1>and the Women's Casino Gauntlet should be a big show
<v Speaker 1>on Wednesday as well. But we have I believe, correct
<v Speaker 1>me if I'm wrong, four rounds, four rounds of be
<v Speaker 1>the booker to do. So we're not gonna waste any
<v Speaker 1>more time. Let's get into it. Here we go, exciting,
<v Speaker 1>exciting time to be the booker. Oh, I'm excited. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna book some matches. We're gonna book some good matches too.
<v Speaker 1>I can feel it. I got a good feeling about this.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna get started with the Butcher and the Blade,
<v Speaker 1>who were no longer employed by AW by the way,
<v Speaker 1>I believe they are free agents. Never won the tag
<v Speaker 1>team titles in AW For as many titles as they
<v Speaker 1>have in that company, they never were able to capture
<v Speaker 1>those championships. They were there in the early days and
<v Speaker 1>then they kind of fizzled out after a while. The
<v Speaker 1>Butcher and the Blade. Oh, this this is a I mean,
<v Speaker 1>this is a fucking rampage match against the Outrunners. I
<v Speaker 1>mean that's I like the Outrunners at all, But my god,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, can we can we book something above the
<v Speaker 1>level of rampage? That's this is a straight out of
<v Speaker 1>that show. Come on now, man, wwe is doing a
<v Speaker 1>terrible job of booking Saturday Nights made event. I would
<v Speaker 1>like to take over and the show at Madison Square Garden.
<v Speaker 1>So I need I need some big matches here. Man,
<v Speaker 1>we got to do better. Choose four women and book
<v Speaker 1>a tag team match. Okay, we can do that. We
<v Speaker 1>can do that Women's tag team belt. Hey Brian in
<v Speaker 1>the chat, what's going on, Brian? I see you. We
<v Speaker 1>have Ruby Soho. This is all aw talent so far.
<v Speaker 1>We need a WWE person in here. Ruby Soho and
<v Speaker 1>Mako Sadamora are going to be a tag team. She's
<v Speaker 1>retired by the way. Ruby and Mako are going to
<v Speaker 1>be taking on Shana Basler, who we just announced is
<v Speaker 1>coming into House of Glory for High Intensity coming up
<v Speaker 1>on August seventh, the Queen of Spades. It's coming back SHANEA.
<v Speaker 1>Basler and not Timeless, but Tony storm Man. We have
<v Speaker 1>not had a single like WWE main roster star yet
<v Speaker 1>through two rounds, but I do like that match. Tony
<v Speaker 1>storm and SHANEA. Basler is a tag team against Mako
<v Speaker 1>Sotamora and Ruby. That's a good match right there. All right, now,
<v Speaker 1>we have our first of four main events, four of
<v Speaker 1>them this is what you guys have unlocked tonight. That's
<v Speaker 1>basically a full Saturday Night's Made event card. When you
<v Speaker 1>think about it, it's four matches right. Yes, this has
<v Speaker 1>been very aw heavy. We need we need some WWE
<v Speaker 1>influence here. Well, I don't know, I mean, what do
<v Speaker 1>you what do you say? This is kind of still aw.
<v Speaker 1>We have the American Nightmare. We can't escape him, Cody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 1>Is it fair to say now that we have some
<v Speaker 1>WWE flavor because it's kind of it's kind of still aw.
<v Speaker 1>He was, he was an EVP. He's one of the
<v Speaker 1>founding fathers. You may not like him, but you can't
<v Speaker 1>escape him. He may not be hard to find, but
<v Speaker 1>he's hard to beat. Cody Rhodes is going to be
<v Speaker 1>stepping into the ring with John Moxley. John Moxley, this
<v Speaker 1>is wow. Be the Booker is I think Be the
<v Speaker 1>Booker has has been converted into a sicko. I think
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker has gone full sicko tonight. Wow, Be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker has made its choice on which side of
<v Speaker 1>the fence it wants to go. Well, that's only round
<v Speaker 1>number one. Now we have stipulations. The whole rest of
<v Speaker 1>the way. But remember before we get to that. If
<v Speaker 1>you remember the first Superjack goal, it was for an
<v Speaker 1>intergender round of Be the Booker. So before we actually
<v Speaker 1>get to the stipulations, we actually have to book an
<v Speaker 1>intergender match. Don't think I forgot about that. Retro says,
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker is all elite. All right, we get
<v Speaker 1>one intergender match and then we move on to round
<v Speaker 1>number two. It's going to be well. I mean, we
<v Speaker 1>call her Daria where we call her Sonia Blaze, Sonia Blade,
<v Speaker 1>Sonya Deville, Sonia Deville against who against VIKINGO. I feel
<v Speaker 1>bad for VIKINGO. I'm going with Sonya to win this match.
<v Speaker 1>I think Sonya would actually probably give him a pretty
<v Speaker 1>tough fight. It's unfortunate though, it's kind of funny. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>oh not funny. But like we land on VIKINGO. Here
<v Speaker 1>we got an update. We got an update on VIKINGO.
<v Speaker 1>It's not good. He injured himself last week prior to
<v Speaker 1>the NXT show, like earlier that day. I guess maybe
<v Speaker 1>going over his match or something, and he hurt his knee.
<v Speaker 1>He had wrestled Ray Phoenix on SmackDown the night before,
<v Speaker 1>which was taped, and they had a really good match.
<v Speaker 1>He was fine. He got hurt during the day on Tuesday,
<v Speaker 1>had an MRI done. Don't have an actual diagnosis, but
<v Speaker 1>he's having surgery. So whatever it is, it's serious, because
<v Speaker 1>if it wasn't serious, he wouldn't be having surgery. So
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it's a torn acl or exactly
<v Speaker 1>what the injury is. His leg is in a brace.
<v Speaker 1>He posted pictures on his social media and he's going
<v Speaker 1>to be having surgery. So I don't know what that
<v Speaker 1>means for the Triple A Latin American title, but he's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be gone for a while. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>that means for Omas. Omas has nobody to look after
<v Speaker 1>now in Triple A. All right, now, let's move on
<v Speaker 1>to round number two and from here on out we
<v Speaker 1>have stipulations that we will pick at random for each
<v Speaker 1>of these matches. So we're going to begin with man.
<v Speaker 1>I'm telling you mail is what is going on? Would
<v Speaker 1>be the booker tonight first stipulation, and we see a
<v Speaker 1>hangman just drenched in blood. It is a Texas death match.
<v Speaker 1>This this is just this is out of control tonight. Uh, well,
<v Speaker 1>we'll start with the men then, I mean we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>do a Texas Death Match. We'll do it with the
<v Speaker 1>with the men, Big Bronzon Reid. If you've seen pictures
<v Speaker 1>of him online, he's not quite as big anymore. But hey,
<v Speaker 1>we finally got a WWE guy man Big Bronson reading
<v Speaker 1>at Texas Deathmatch. Oh oh no, this is this is
<v Speaker 1>very depressing. This is very depressing. How can we land
<v Speaker 1>on this tonight? Oh man? Ah, this is just a
<v Speaker 1>bummer of an image here, man, I mean, look, this
<v Speaker 1>is happier times. This is much happier times for Sammy's day.
<v Speaker 1>This was only a few days ago. This be the
<v Speaker 1>booker is very cruel, man, this is like a sick joke.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, that is very very cruel. Tonight of all nights.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we need a stipulation now for a women's match.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, first ever female Punjabi is in match.
<v Speaker 1>Are you ready? Are you ready for some Punjabi prison
<v Speaker 1>with the ladies. Jordan Grace? Who's that? I don't know
<v Speaker 1>who this person is. Who's Jordan Grace? Is she a wrestler?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but she's in the Punjabi prison. Well,
<v Speaker 1>there she is again, Jordan Grace against makeup Sodomore in
<v Speaker 1>a Punjabi prison match, and despite the awful stipulation, I
<v Speaker 1>actually think that would be a very good match. I
<v Speaker 1>think they would just sort of, you know, have themselves
<v Speaker 1>a great wrestling match and when the time was right, Now,
<v Speaker 1>what is the stipulation, you gotta climb out, right, We'd
<v Speaker 1>get a great wrestling match out of it, and then
<v Speaker 1>when the time was right, they would they would climb out.
<v Speaker 1>She's pulling double duty tonight though she's supposed to be retired.
<v Speaker 1>Not only is she out of retirement, now she's put
<v Speaker 1>pulling double duty on this show. We're going in reverse
<v Speaker 1>if you couldn't tell, because now we're going to do
<v Speaker 1>a tag team match. This tag team match is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a tag team lions Den match. Hmmm, now
<v Speaker 1>these are I'm still on the stipulations. All right, here
<v Speaker 1>we go. We have a lions Den tag team match
<v Speaker 1>with Big Show and Miss Miss show Biz. I don't
<v Speaker 1>remember their tag team name, and they will be taking
<v Speaker 1>on the Street Profits. Also did not have a very
<v Speaker 1>good night like Sammy's Ain. But here we are with
<v Speaker 1>the with the Street Profits. I have to bel that one,
<v Speaker 1>just because of how fascinated I am at the prospect
<v Speaker 1>of a tag team Lions. That match doesn't seem like
<v Speaker 1>there would be a whole lot of room to maneuver
<v Speaker 1>with four people, especially if you had someone like Big
<v Speaker 1>Show in there. Oh Show Miz. I was totally wrong.
<v Speaker 1>I was totally wrong. What a terrible name. How fucking
<v Speaker 1>lazy have they gotten with tag team names in the
<v Speaker 1>last decade? Good lord? All right, Well we're halfway there.
<v Speaker 1>We are halfway there. We have round number three? Was
<v Speaker 1>that a sonic? Oh? Right? Okay, I'm sorry I could
<v Speaker 1>have sworn I buzzed one of them. I guess not.
<v Speaker 1>All right, so we got one sweep. We have tribal combats.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, it's gonna be the Battle of the Ulafalla everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Tribal combat is about to go down. And even better,
<v Speaker 1>we're doing tribal combat with the ladies because we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>start with the women this time. I don't even know
<v Speaker 1>if that's allowed. Are the women allowed to have tribal combat?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there may be rules against this sort of thing.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. Oh, it's Ley ying Lie, the former
<v Speaker 1>Zaia Lee and the now former TNA Knockouts champion Okay
<v Speaker 1>in tribal combat against MEDUSA Nothing about this match makes
<v Speaker 1>any sense. Why would they be in tribal combat. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's a that's a miss. That's a misfire, is what
<v Speaker 1>that is. We have a tables match. See this, This
<v Speaker 1>is one we could do with the tag teams. We
<v Speaker 1>have a tag team tables match. Here we have Hollywood
<v Speaker 1>Hogan and the Worm Dennis Rodman, both WWE Hall of Famers,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, in a tables match with Met Johnson
<v Speaker 1>and Stevie Ray. There's Clarence may Who is that in
<v Speaker 1>the background? I asked, Clarence Mason in the fourth that's
<v Speaker 1>not master ps Uh, Clarence Mason there in the foreground. Man,
<v Speaker 1>this is not going well. This might be the first
<v Speaker 1>reverse sweep that we have of the night. This is
<v Speaker 1>not going well. Oh, we have another intergender you know,
<v Speaker 1>I just realized that tag team match is like Hulk
<v Speaker 1>Cogan's worst nightmare, if you know, you know, intergender match.
<v Speaker 1>We have an intergener We just didn't intergender match. Now
<v Speaker 1>we get to do another one. Aren't you excited? Well,
<v Speaker 1>we should be able to do better than Sonya Deville.
<v Speaker 1>What was the one we just did? Sonya Deville? Thank god?
<v Speaker 1>I already forgot what the match was well, whatever that
<v Speaker 1>match was that we booked three minutes ago, Zoe Stark,
<v Speaker 1>there's another one here. Never really got the chance to
<v Speaker 1>come back and tell that comeback story in WWE. It's
<v Speaker 1>going by Zoe Serrano on the independen scene. Now, oh VIKINGO,
<v Speaker 1>thank you. Yes, we had Sonya Deville against the King Goo.
<v Speaker 1>This time we were going to have Zoe Stark just
<v Speaker 1>back from a devastating injury, about to be put on
<v Speaker 1>the shelf with another devastating injury. Oh, this was just
<v Speaker 1>oh man, this round was just all over the place.
<v Speaker 1>This was what round number three? This? This was this
<v Speaker 1>was not it? This round was not it. Poor Zoe Stark,
<v Speaker 1>by the way, just came back from injury. Now in
<v Speaker 1>there with the world's strongest man, the Hall, the Hall
<v Speaker 1>of Pain. It will not end well for Zoe Stark.
<v Speaker 1>All right, this is it round number four. We need
<v Speaker 1>to come back, We need to come back. Here we're
<v Speaker 1>kicking off with a tag team parking lot brawl. Here
<v Speaker 1>we go. The fuck is wrong with Be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. Something something off with Be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>Tonight we have pretty deadly Kit Wilson and Elton Prince
<v Speaker 1>poor Kit Wilson is just sitting around now after being
<v Speaker 1>electrocuted a few weeks ago. Nobody seems to give a shit.
<v Speaker 1>Elton Prince, I don't know when he's going to wrestle again.
<v Speaker 1>Tag Team parking Lot Brawl with pretty Deadly against the
<v Speaker 1>Judgment Day, Damian Priest and Finn Balor. The parking lot
<v Speaker 1>brawl is I think a potentially very fun stipulation if
<v Speaker 1>it works the way that the original one worked with
<v Speaker 1>Cina and Eddie. You have all these cars in a
<v Speaker 1>circle and everybody is just kind of hanging around. They're
<v Speaker 1>honking the horns and they're chairing them on and you
<v Speaker 1>just have a giant brawl. Now. They had a parking
<v Speaker 1>lot brawl in aw that was really good with I
<v Speaker 1>want to say, what was it? Best Friends against Lax?
<v Speaker 1>Is that what? Or Proud and Powerful? I think that
<v Speaker 1>was the match. I remember that one being very good,
<v Speaker 1>So I mean this one has potential. I give that
<v Speaker 1>a bell. Yeah, that's a that's a total Judgment Day
<v Speaker 1>win right there. You guys got to be picking winners
<v Speaker 1>as we go along. Here we have all the dread
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, oh my goodness, Oh you're the dreaded
<v Speaker 1>Yappa pie strap match. Get ready for the strapation, everybody.
<v Speaker 1>I hope the ladies are ready. We have a women's
<v Speaker 1>Yappa pie strap match on the way. Nobody wins here.
<v Speaker 1>There are no winners, only losers. We have Koraje Aide
<v Speaker 1>Korra What is that? Don't you know what? If you
<v Speaker 1>don't know what a Yappa pie strap matches, don't even
<v Speaker 1>bother asking. It's very real though. Ronda Rousey in a
<v Speaker 1>Yappa pie strap man. God, that sounds absolutely awful, absolutely dreadful.
<v Speaker 1>Coorage Aide against Ronda Rousey a in a Yappa pie
<v Speaker 1>strap match. It all comes down to this. This is it.
<v Speaker 1>We're almost three hours in. This would be like the
<v Speaker 1>main event of a three hour SmackDown. You've made it
<v Speaker 1>this far. We need to make it worth your while.
<v Speaker 1>We need a good stipulation. We have a submission match,
<v Speaker 1>not a bad stipulation. Could be a lot worse. I
<v Speaker 1>like it. So here we go, no pin falls, submissions only.
<v Speaker 1>This is the longest and largest, by the way. Addition
<v Speaker 1>to be the booker that we have ever done. This
<v Speaker 1>is tremendous.
<v Speaker 2>We have oh no, oh boy, oh boy, it's back Yoshihiko.
<v Speaker 1>Yoshihiko the blow up Doll is in the main event
<v Speaker 1>of be the Booker in a submission match. I cannot believe.
<v Speaker 1>I cannot believe that Yoshihiko has We just had Yoshihiko
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago, ring the bell. No, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 1>we got to find an opponent first. What is that?
<v Speaker 1>There's so many people who are uncultured in this shadow
<v Speaker 1>of no idea. Fuck this, he's getting a second drum roll?
<v Speaker 1>How do you not know Yoshihiko. Gotta know your wrestling history.
<v Speaker 1>Yoshihiko and Shingo Takagi. There you go. What a fucking
<v Speaker 1>main event. Yoshihiko and Shingo in a submission match. That's it.
<v Speaker 1>That's it. What do you think of the overall card?
<v Speaker 1>Is it better than Saturday Night's main event? I think so.
<v Speaker 1>I would say so yes. Super Pony says, would they
<v Speaker 1>ask Randy to take a pay cut? No? There are
<v Speaker 1>certain people who I think they know better, and I
<v Speaker 1>cannot imagine going to Randy Orton and asking him to
<v Speaker 1>take a pay cut. Who goes over Yoshihiko. Clearly, Yoshihiko
<v Speaker 1>strikes the main event seen again. You know Yoshiko is
<v Speaker 1>going over. Kevin says, CM Punk, CM Punk. I like Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm glad that Punk won. So is everybody else
<v Speaker 1>in Chicago based on the sounds of it. Tonight, super
<v Speaker 1>Pony says, am I wrong to feel like bron Breaker
<v Speaker 1>and Gunther are dead characters? I don't feel anything when
<v Speaker 1>I see either one of them on TV anymore. No,
<v Speaker 1>you're not wrong. I wouldn't say I don't feel anything
<v Speaker 1>like when Gunther's on screen, but he's definitely lost a
<v Speaker 1>lot of the aura that he had earlier in the year.
<v Speaker 1>He just feels he's lost something, and Breaker has absolutely
<v Speaker 1>lost something. Jacob Fatu, I mean he's worse off now
<v Speaker 1>than he was going into that feud. But Roman, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>this is this is a problem. This is a problem
<v Speaker 1>with multiple people right now in WWE. It's not good
<v Speaker 1>and Navy forty one eighty one. Send Sammy to Triple
<v Speaker 1>A as l Generico. It did wonders for Kaiser. Plus
<v Speaker 1>he'll be in good hands with the under Taco. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why he called him the under Taco, but
<v Speaker 1>that is fucking hilarious. That would be the most hilarious
<v Speaker 1>auto correct in the history of auto correct the under Taco. Wow.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know what to say to that. EJ.
<v Speaker 1>Slim says, as Yoshihiko's number one fan is much which
<v Speaker 1>is I love Shingo and Okada. I wish Yoshi Yoshihiko
<v Speaker 1>is facing American talent instead. Well, maybe Yoshihiko could go
<v Speaker 1>on the excursion. Send Yoshihiko on excursion to the States.
<v Speaker 1>The only thing is like to get Yoshihiko's work visa
<v Speaker 1>taken care of. It might take some time. I don't
<v Speaker 1>I don't know where that that's what it says. It's
<v Speaker 1>what it says in the super chat Mikey claiming why
<v Speaker 1>don't we see submission matches anymore? I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>mean there's a decent number of people I feel like
<v Speaker 1>who who have submission finishers gun through with the sleeper.
<v Speaker 1>Look at Russev tonight he won with the Accolade Punkasniana
<v Speaker 1>con device. I mean, there are others, so if they
<v Speaker 1>could do it, it's just not a very popular stipulation.
<v Speaker 1>You have to save it for I guess, the right
<v Speaker 1>occasion and preferably have two people who are either submission
<v Speaker 1>specialists or they have a submission move and then you
<v Speaker 1>can do it. But it's not a very sexy stipulation.
<v Speaker 1>You're not gonna sell any tickets or ESPN app purchases
<v Speaker 1>with a submission match. Ooh book Yoshihiko to h Og.
<v Speaker 1>That's interesting. Could be some tough negotiations going on. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna need an interpreter first. I may have to look
<v Speaker 1>into that. And Super Pony, we never got Ko again
<v Speaker 1>Seamus one on one that sucks. That does suck, and
<v Speaker 1>they spent many years together on the main roster and
<v Speaker 1>they never they never had a singles match. That's crazy,
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit wrestling. Have you ever seen the one hundred
<v Speaker 1>and eight man Japan Rumble in twenty eleven? I have not.
<v Speaker 1>I am unaware of this. That's a lot of people anyway,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you guys. This has been a blowaway stream here.
<v Speaker 1>We just passed the three hour mark. It is almost
<v Speaker 1>two fifteen in the morning here on the East Coast.
<v Speaker 1>Big raw and we got a big dynamite coming up
<v Speaker 1>on Wednesday again. MJF Kenny Omega. If Omega does not win,
<v Speaker 1>he can never again challenge for the AW World Championship.
<v Speaker 1>Why are they doing this on television and not saving
<v Speaker 1>it for Redemption. Hopefully that will become clear at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the show on Wednesday, because on the surface
<v Speaker 1>it seems very stupid. Takeshta is defending his international title
<v Speaker 1>against Kyle Fletcher. Takesha is on his way to Japan
<v Speaker 1>very soon to be a part of the g One,
<v Speaker 1>so I would keep an eye out for a title
<v Speaker 1>change there. Jericho and Shampa and then the Women's Casino
<v Speaker 1>Gauntlet Athena enters in number one, Maya World enters in
<v Speaker 1>number two. The winner will challenge Tekla for the Women's
<v Speaker 1>World Championship at Redemption. So big show coming up on Wednesday.
<v Speaker 1>Any new movies that you are going to be seeing soon.
<v Speaker 1>I have my tickets already purchased for The Odyssey next week,
<v Speaker 1>I believe on Thursday. Wish me luck. It's a three
<v Speaker 1>hour movie. You know how long it took me to
<v Speaker 1>finally see The Batman. I was very intimidated by the
<v Speaker 1>runtime of that movie. But I will be seeing The
<v Speaker 1>Odyssey in It's not even real Imax. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 1>what they call limax. It's an Imax screen, but it's
<v Speaker 1>not like it's not real imax. It's like maybe a
<v Speaker 1>slightly bigger regular screen. It's the best I could do.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, that'll be the next movie I see, so
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking forward to it in Nolan, I trust. I'll
<v Speaker 1>just say that it's Christopher Nolan movie in Nolan. I
<v Speaker 1>trust that'll be the next one. All right, be well,
<v Speaker 1>stay safe. Thank you guys again for this. Again, we
<v Speaker 1>were number one on the Apple podcast charts. A nice
<v Speaker 1>thing to wake up to this morning. Being in the
<v Speaker 1>number one spot was very cool. If you haven't listened
<v Speaker 1>to episode nine seventy of the sound Up, please go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and check that out. And also tomorrow I'll be
<v Speaker 1>working on this in the morning after I have breakfast,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to be recording a brand new episode of
<v Speaker 1>The Uncrowned Wrestling Show that'll be dropping tomorrow on the
<v Speaker 1>aerial hell Wani show feed wherever you get your podcast from,
<v Speaker 1>so hopefully you can help us climb the charts there
<v Speaker 1>as well. Can't do it without you, guys. And then
<v Speaker 1>tomorrow night I'll be live with JD A lot to
<v Speaker 1>talk about on a brand new episode of Tuesday Night Titans.
<v Speaker 1>What else did I miss? We have the Shamus video
<v Speaker 1>that I did breaking news up on the channel as well.
<v Speaker 1>We got more clips from the pod hitting the channel
<v Speaker 1>in the next couple of days, including my retort to
<v Speaker 1>Triple H after his recent comments on the stephen A.
<v Speaker 1>Smith Show. That'll be going up tomorrow afternoon, so please
<v Speaker 1>go ahead and check that out. And that's it. That's
<v Speaker 1>all I got for you, Thank you for the love.
<v Speaker 1>I'll see you back here on the stream on Wednesday.
<v Speaker 1>Until then, take care, guys.
