<v Speaker 1>Well, welcome to another Friday Night. It is your Friday
<v Speaker 1>Night SmackDown review, Week two of two hours Smackdowns. I
<v Speaker 1>think someone forgot to tell WWE, based on the ending
<v Speaker 1>of the show tonight and the abrupt cutoff at the
<v Speaker 1>very end, that they were not going three hours tonight.
<v Speaker 1>In fact, they are back to two hours for what
<v Speaker 1>ended up being a very eventful, not a great, but
<v Speaker 1>a very eventful episode of SmackDown, where at least there
<v Speaker 1>were some things, some important things that happened. It wasn't
<v Speaker 1>by any means a throwaway show, the biggest of all
<v Speaker 1>being that we got not just a new Summer Slam
<v Speaker 1>match announs, but arguably the biggest Summer Slam match that
<v Speaker 1>will be on the card this year was made official tonight.
<v Speaker 1>We had the brand new WWE Champion CM Punk in
<v Speaker 1>the house tonight. He is now officially a member of
<v Speaker 1>the Blue Brand for the first time since coming back
<v Speaker 1>to the company three years ago, and that match is
<v Speaker 1>going to be to the surprise of no one if
<v Speaker 1>you've been paying attention, Cmpunk defending the WWE Championship against
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes. This is a match that they have held
<v Speaker 1>off undoing ever since Punk came back to the company,
<v Speaker 1>they've had little moments, interactions and backstage segments or in
<v Speaker 1>ring segments that tease the future match between them. Absolutely
<v Speaker 1>a wrestle Mania match at any Mania you want to
<v Speaker 1>do it in, and we're getting it at Summer Slim
<v Speaker 1>this year. The biggest reason we're getting it at Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slim is because they have a shit ton of tickets
<v Speaker 1>left to sell. And don't let anybody tell you any differently,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm glad that we're finally getting it. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it's a match I've been waiting for for a very
<v Speaker 1>long time. Again, it sucks that Sammy's Ain got shuffled
<v Speaker 1>to the side to do it now of all time
<v Speaker 1>Samy's aim, by the way, not on SmackDown tonight. We
<v Speaker 1>were told that he is taking a mental health break. However,
<v Speaker 1>we do know he will be back next week. And
<v Speaker 1>the reason that we know that is because we finally
<v Speaker 1>got a real match made official for Saturday night's main event. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they realized, oh shit, we have a Madison Square Garden
<v Speaker 1>show coming up on Peacock next weekend. We should probably
<v Speaker 1>put some star power on there, a show that desperately
<v Speaker 1>needed some star Power. And now we have a tag
<v Speaker 1>team match that was also made official, where it will
<v Speaker 1>be Cody Rhodes and see them Punk teaming up to
<v Speaker 1>take on Gunther and Sammy's a that will be our
<v Speaker 1>main event on Saturday Night's made event next weekend. And
<v Speaker 1>not only did we have that, We're going to get
<v Speaker 1>into all of that because there was a show closing angle.
<v Speaker 1>Really the most important things that happened were the beginning
<v Speaker 1>and the end. The beginning is where we got the
<v Speaker 1>announcement of Cody and Punk. The end of the show
<v Speaker 1>is where we got the announcement of the tag team
<v Speaker 1>match next weekend. But also Gunther did not take the
<v Speaker 1>news very well, and Gunther attack nick All this repeatedly,
<v Speaker 1>even though you had twelve people out there who couldn't
<v Speaker 1>pull this man off, put him in the sleep several times.
<v Speaker 1>So we got one Summer Slam match officially announced. We
<v Speaker 1>have the other Summer Slam match. That's all but official.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if you needed any further indication of what
<v Speaker 1>Gunther is gonna be doing on that show, you need
<v Speaker 1>not look any further than that closing segment. We will
<v Speaker 1>be getting the first Nick All this match in WWE
<v Speaker 1>it's only a matter of when they announced it, and
<v Speaker 1>so clearly they are moving forward with him and Gunther
<v Speaker 1>going one on one on that show. So even though
<v Speaker 1>Gunther is going to be involved in this tag team
<v Speaker 1>match next weekend, anybody thinking that this is going to
<v Speaker 1>be some sort of fatal four way situation at SummerSlam
<v Speaker 1>and they're gonna add Sammy and they're gonna add Gunther,
<v Speaker 1>that pretty much went out the window with the show
<v Speaker 1>to although doing a fatal four way I don't think
<v Speaker 1>was ever realistic to begin with. We also had a
<v Speaker 1>non title match on this show between Carmelo Hayes and
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams, with the idea that if Mello could beat Trick,
<v Speaker 1>he would earn the right to challenge him for the
<v Speaker 1>United States Championship. And in the course of this man tonight,
<v Speaker 1>something happened. Something happened that I was not anticipating, which
<v Speaker 1>was the return of a former WWE champion, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't mean world champion, but someone who has held gold
<v Speaker 1>before in WWE, somebody who's been away from the company
<v Speaker 1>now for several years. We got the return tonight that
<v Speaker 1>I think many of us were expecting, but not in
<v Speaker 1>this spot This is not where we were anticipating that
<v Speaker 1>this man was going to pop up. Baron Corbin is
<v Speaker 1>back on SmackDown. Baron Corbin interjected himself in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of this non title match between these two US title competitors,
<v Speaker 1>immediately thrusting himself into the US title picture. When a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people, myself included, were led to believe that
<v Speaker 1>he was going to have something to do with Dan Hausen.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder who's under the sheet now in Dan Housen's laboratory.
<v Speaker 1>He in fact was not under the sheet, Or maybe
<v Speaker 1>he was and he just broke free. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but I was actually very happy to see him here
<v Speaker 1>because it meant that he was not going to be
<v Speaker 1>involved in the silliness with all the Dan Housen stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And if he's going to have a shot at a
<v Speaker 1>serious push this time around, that's not the way to
<v Speaker 1>go about doing it. The fact that they are putting
<v Speaker 1>him immediately in the US title picture tells you that
<v Speaker 1>they hope he can be a player in the mid
<v Speaker 1>card on this show, and I think he absolutely can be.
<v Speaker 1>It's just funny to me that for all the years
<v Speaker 1>that he spent in this company and he went through
<v Speaker 1>so many different gimmicks and just, oh my god, he
<v Speaker 1>went through so many just different nonsensical stories and bullshit
<v Speaker 1>Constable Corbin, King Corbin and Happy Corbin and bum ass Corbin.
<v Speaker 1>The Lone Wolf just feels like a distant memory. Remember,
<v Speaker 1>they sent him off to NXT and he actually had
<v Speaker 1>a good thing going for a while with bron Breaker
<v Speaker 1>the wolf Dogs, and they didn't want bron Breaker doing
<v Speaker 1>the tag team thing on the main rosters, so when
<v Speaker 1>they call Corbin back up, they tried to replicate it
<v Speaker 1>with him and Apollo Cruise, but it just wasn't It
<v Speaker 1>just wasn't the same. But that period of time there
<v Speaker 1>where he was called back up and he was basically
<v Speaker 1>in the babyface role was probably the first time that
<v Speaker 1>he had some real legitimate fan support, and that's when
<v Speaker 1>they got rid of him. So my hope is that
<v Speaker 1>he can kind of recapture some of that. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>this is the first and maybe the only time that
<v Speaker 1>you will ever hear Baron Corbin showered by holy shit
<v Speaker 1>chans from an arena full of people. This man got
<v Speaker 1>holy shit chance because they were so shocked or happy
<v Speaker 1>or both to see him back on this show. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that that moment for him will ever be replicated.
<v Speaker 1>One can hope though, that this run will go better
<v Speaker 1>for him than the last one. But that definitely shocked
<v Speaker 1>the hell out of me. I was expecting him back.
<v Speaker 1>I was not expecting him back in that spot. Jade Cargill,
<v Speaker 1>we know that she is on a collision course with
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte Flair. That is another match that is not yet
<v Speaker 1>official for SummerSlam, but we all know it's going to happen,
<v Speaker 1>and so tonight the sacrifice a Lamb was the bestie,
<v Speaker 1>her best friend, her tag team partner, Alexa Bliss. She
<v Speaker 1>was the victim. She got to play victim to Jade
<v Speaker 1>Cargill and remind everybody that she is double jointed in
<v Speaker 1>one of her arms, and that could be a very
<v Speaker 1>useful thing. Even though this is an angle that we've
<v Speaker 1>seen done at least twice before over the last decade,
<v Speaker 1>it's been a while since the last one, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure all the new fans who have no idea are
<v Speaker 1>looking at this in horror. As Jade Cargill snaps Alexa
<v Speaker 1>Bliss's arm and makes Charlotte Flair watch, she is helpless
<v Speaker 1>to do anything but just sit there and watch as
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss gets taken out and what I thought was
<v Speaker 1>actually a very effective angle, you know, to further things
<v Speaker 1>here between the two of them. But that was kind
<v Speaker 1>of the gist of SmackDown. Really. I mean, when the
<v Speaker 1>show is over, it's kind of weird, like there were
<v Speaker 1>a lot of things that happened, but I can't sit
<v Speaker 1>here and tell you it was a great show because
<v Speaker 1>it really wasn't. Things happened, but I can't. I can't
<v Speaker 1>call this a great SmackDown. Smack that was basically what
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown normally would be. There was bloodline stuff on this show,
<v Speaker 1>which is just boring me to tears. Doesn't seem to
<v Speaker 1>matter what show it is, raw or SmackDown, it's just
<v Speaker 1>it ain't hitting. It ain't hitting the way that the
<v Speaker 1>bloodline stuff used to. This is what happens when you
<v Speaker 1>basically run a different variation of the same angle that
<v Speaker 1>has been going on now for what six years? Seven years?
<v Speaker 1>About six years now? Somehow this company has gotten me
<v Speaker 1>to a point where I actually found myself tonight rooting
<v Speaker 1>for Solo Socoa over Jacob Fatu. What have they done
<v Speaker 1>to Jacob? What have they done to Jacob Fatu in
<v Speaker 1>these last couple of months where I'm sitting here and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, hey, I'm actually rooting for Solo Amazing. Let's
<v Speaker 1>talk about this show. This is your Friday Night SmackDown review.
<v Speaker 1>It is July tenth, twenty twenty six. I am not
<v Speaker 1>Solo Socoa, but I am Sola Monster, and I thank
<v Speaker 1>you for being with me here on a Friday. Like
<v Speaker 1>and subscribe. Super chats are open. Release the Kraken. There
<v Speaker 1>you go, they'll start popping up on your screen. There.
<v Speaker 1>We got a bonus goal going in the live chat,
<v Speaker 1>and I will be reading all of your messages a
<v Speaker 1>little bit later on here in the stream, So go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and get those on in and let's spin the
<v Speaker 1>wheel right now. Find out how many likes we need
<v Speaker 1>to do our be the Booker segment a little bit
<v Speaker 1>later on, Let's take it for a spin, Spin, spin, spin,
<v Speaker 1>here we go. What do we need? Lay it on me?
<v Speaker 1>Three point fifty? I mean, come on, we could do
<v Speaker 1>that sleeping. We're already at two twenty three, three hundred
<v Speaker 1>and fifty likes is all. We need a very modest
<v Speaker 1>goal tonight, and we will do at least one round
<v Speaker 1>of be the bookers, so get those likes on in
<v Speaker 1>as we kick the off here. Hey jk E, welcome
<v Speaker 1>to the channel, brother bliss Fan. I know bliss Fan
<v Speaker 1>is very upset over the treatment of Alexa Bliss. I
<v Speaker 1>am sure that when Jade cranked back on Alexi's arm
<v Speaker 1>on the show tonight, not only did Alexi's arm break,
<v Speaker 1>but I think a piece of bliss Fan's heart broke
<v Speaker 1>as he watched her writhing on the Madden pain. I
<v Speaker 1>felt for you. You were the first person I thought
<v Speaker 1>of when I saw that. I said, I hope he's
<v Speaker 1>not watching live now. After highlights of the Sea and
<v Speaker 1>Punk return in Chicago on raw Monday night and him
<v Speaker 1>beating Sammy's Ain and ending his reign at nine days
<v Speaker 1>to win the WWE Championship, that's how we opened the show.
<v Speaker 1>We cut back live to the ring where Nick All
<v Speaker 1>this was waiting SmackDown general manager who had been sent
<v Speaker 1>home on administrative leave, even though he never actually left.
<v Speaker 1>He was on raw Monday night in Chicago and here
<v Speaker 1>he was in Oklahoma City tonight, and the first thing
<v Speaker 1>he did was he apologized to all of the fans
<v Speaker 1>for his part in the incident with Gunther at Night
<v Speaker 1>of Champions, and while he feels justified for his actions,
<v Speaker 1>he takes full responsibility for his part in the incident.
<v Speaker 1>He is very happy to report that after mediation, he
<v Speaker 1>has officially been reinstated as the GM of SmackDown and
<v Speaker 1>he is now ready to deliver for us the SmackDown fans,
<v Speaker 1>which includes this moment right now, and he introduced the
<v Speaker 1>new WWE champion out to the ring, CM Punk, for
<v Speaker 1>what is technically his debut as a full time member
<v Speaker 1>of the SmackDown roster. Punk was sporting a black eye.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what from. Maybe it was a halluva
<v Speaker 1>kick on Monday, maybe it was the GTS that Sammy
<v Speaker 1>gave him, But in any event, all this welcomed him
<v Speaker 1>aboard and said the floor is yours. As the crowd
<v Speaker 1>began to chant for Punk, Bliss, Ben says, I'm numb.
<v Speaker 1>Bliss Fan is comfortably numb tonight, Bliz Fan is hitting
<v Speaker 1>the bottle hard tonight. You might want to pull yourself
<v Speaker 1>away when I get to that part of the stream
<v Speaker 1>a little bit later on. I don't want you to
<v Speaker 1>relive the trauma of tonight. So Punk says he missed
<v Speaker 1>us over the last two months, he's been negotiating with
<v Speaker 1>WWE management, NBC Universal management, and the USA network, all
<v Speaker 1>spearheaded by Nick All this to bring him here to SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>And there is some truth in that because the reports,
<v Speaker 1>I think it was Wrestle votes that said, this is
<v Speaker 1>something that you know NBC Universal wanted. They wanted Punk
<v Speaker 1>on this show for as long as a year. They've
<v Speaker 1>been dying to get him on the show. Now they
<v Speaker 1>have him. The belief is that he's gonna have a
<v Speaker 1>lengthy run as the champion. Of course, creative is always
<v Speaker 1>subject to change. To me, it doesn't even matter if
<v Speaker 1>he's the champion, Like, if you're NBC Universal, what do
<v Speaker 1>you care if he's the champion or he's chasing for
<v Speaker 1>the title. As long as he's in the mix, right,
<v Speaker 1>as long as he's on the show every week you
<v Speaker 1>put him on the posters you want him doing media,
<v Speaker 1>Does it really matter if he's the champion or if
<v Speaker 1>he's challenging for the title and chasing for the title.
<v Speaker 1>They got what they wanted. They got him on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>and not a week too soon, because if SmackDown could
<v Speaker 1>use anything, Cmpunk is certainly one thing that this show
<v Speaker 1>could use. Believe me, this was the right move to make.
<v Speaker 1>I said that from the moment he lost that championship
<v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania. Get him on Smack that he doesn't need
<v Speaker 1>to be on Raw, Get him away from Roman reigns.
<v Speaker 2>Look, get Richie rich over here dropping all this money.
<v Speaker 2>Who is I just want you to know I think
<v Speaker 2>you rock. I don't mean the rock a rock, and
<v Speaker 2>I just wanted you to know that.
<v Speaker 1>Oh it's my boy James Crawford coming in. Well, they
<v Speaker 1>won one hundred dollars super Chat. Say I love you Solo,
<v Speaker 1>you are my IWC tribal chief. And now he's singing
<v Speaker 1>Cody's Cody's old song smoking Mirrors here were only smoking
<v Speaker 1>mirrors to me is a very catchy tune. Just ask
<v Speaker 1>for John Cena. He loved that song and I love
<v Speaker 1>that super Chat. Thank you James. You heard from James
<v Speaker 1>last week. Look at this, he's back for an encore
<v Speaker 1>this week. We got a bomb. I thought for a
<v Speaker 1>moment there, I'm not gonna lie. I thought it was
<v Speaker 1>a Boots bomb because Boots actually was the very next
<v Speaker 1>message in and I think my eyes kind of conflated
<v Speaker 1>the two. I can't give Boots the bomb credit here,
<v Speaker 1>but I will say thank you to Boots for the
<v Speaker 1>ten he says, Kathy Kelly, Oh my goodness, calm down, Boots,
<v Speaker 1>put your boots on, take a cold shower, buddy. Thank
<v Speaker 1>you to you both. Back to the Punk promo, though,
<v Speaker 1>he said last Monday those negotiations were expedited. He got
<v Speaker 1>a phone call telling him that the WWE champion needed
<v Speaker 1>a challenger. So he said, when championship opportunities fall out
<v Speaker 1>of the sky, Cmpunk catches them. He put his gear
<v Speaker 1>on in his house, he kissed his beautiful wife, and
<v Speaker 1>he drove across town to the All State Arena. And
<v Speaker 1>now he can stand here and ask is it great
<v Speaker 1>to be alive on a Friday night in Oklahoma City
<v Speaker 1>as the new WWE Champion?
<v Speaker 3>Or what.
<v Speaker 1>If we saw what he did on Raw with the
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight title, so that he intends to be that
<v Speaker 1>kind of champion on SmackDown as well, which includes wrestling
<v Speaker 1>on TV, which includes defending the title. He does it
<v Speaker 1>because it puts pressure on him, and it puts a
<v Speaker 1>target on his back. He knows that locker room is
<v Speaker 1>filled with hungry, talented individuals that want what he has,
<v Speaker 1>so He's gonna make this very simple for anybody in
<v Speaker 1>the back. If you think that he has something that
<v Speaker 1>belongs to them, come and get it. He's not hard
<v Speaker 1>to find. Oh, I just realized we don't have to
<v Speaker 1>listen to Cody say that anymore. That's one of the
<v Speaker 1>best parts of Cody Roads no longer being WWE Champy.
<v Speaker 1>We don't have to watch smack that every week and
<v Speaker 1>hear I'm not hard to find, but I'm hard to beat. Well,
<v Speaker 1>you got beat, you got beat. So now we don't
<v Speaker 1>have to hear it for a while. Thank you, Sammy.
<v Speaker 1>He said he's going to defend that championship with blood,
<v Speaker 1>sweat and tears for all of us. Remember said after
<v Speaker 1>the the Rumble in ninety two, after he dumped Hogan
<v Speaker 1>and Hogan got him dumped, and it was a whole
<v Speaker 1>thing in the ring. When the match was over, they
<v Speaker 1>were being separated and there was that one fan in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd that had a sign that said Hulk Who,
<v Speaker 1>and Sid pointed to it as he looks at Hogan,
<v Speaker 1>goes olk who, holk Who. That's what James just did
<v Speaker 1>to Boots. He held the sign up. He's saying, Boots
<v Speaker 1>who boots, who thank you? James and James is on
<v Speaker 1>one tonight. I love it Punk, said Sammy Zain. He
<v Speaker 1>heard what he said about Punk on social media. He
<v Speaker 1>understood how he feels. He gets it. If you want
<v Speaker 1>a shot, you deserve a rematch. I'll give you a shot,
<v Speaker 1>he says. Who else? Who else? In that locker room?
<v Speaker 1>He says Gunther. They're not strangers, the two of them.
<v Speaker 1>They both remember what happened the last time they wrestled.
<v Speaker 1>He said, if you think you can beat Punk, come
<v Speaker 1>and try, because he knows that he can beat Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>It's true. Summer Slim last year, not even a year ago,
<v Speaker 1>he beat him to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Who else, says?
<v Speaker 1>Who else is there? Finn back? They went to war
<v Speaker 1>two twice recently. Anytime, any place, if you think you
<v Speaker 1>got what it takes, step up to the plate. Royce Keys,
<v Speaker 1>he said, Damian Prize, Damian Priest. He was avoiding a
<v Speaker 1>certain name. He mentioned Royce Keys and Damian Priest and
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams. And then he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes,
<v Speaker 1>and Cody came out to the ring without his suit jacket.
<v Speaker 1>I was stunned. I was stunned. He grabbed Punk's chin.
<v Speaker 1>He wanted to get a closer look at that black eye.
<v Speaker 1>Just like a little callback there too, Cody and his
<v Speaker 1>black eye. After WrestleMania, when Punk looked at him and
<v Speaker 1>was like, what happened to you, Cody asked him, how's
<v Speaker 1>your eye? Then Punk said, you didn't come out here
<v Speaker 1>to ask me about my eyes, So what do you
<v Speaker 1>want to talk about? And Cody remembers Punk saying, championship
<v Speaker 1>opportunities fall out of the sky last time they were
<v Speaker 1>in the ring together, and there are those matches like
<v Speaker 1>the one we saw on Monday, where an opportunity comes
<v Speaker 1>up and he just seizes it. There's matches like that,
<v Speaker 1>and then there are championship opportunities that have been building
<v Speaker 1>for years. So Punk assumed he was talking about him
<v Speaker 1>against Cody, maybe subconsciously. They've been avoiding each other for
<v Speaker 1>some time because the two of them are friends and
<v Speaker 1>he really doesn't want anything to come between them. He
<v Speaker 1>always thought when this happened, though, it would be in
<v Speaker 1>the main event of WrestleMania. Yeah, so did I. But
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't think the two of them can run from
<v Speaker 1>each other anymore. And Cody said no, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>we can. But when Cody was the champion, he recalls
<v Speaker 1>telling Punk just say when, and so Punk got up
<v Speaker 1>at his face and said when. And so the fans
<v Speaker 1>chanted ok C ok C, which they weren't doing in
<v Speaker 1>the NBA finals this year because okay See was not
<v Speaker 1>in the finals. But nevertheless, so they were chanting ok
<v Speaker 1>see OKC, and of course Cody said Summer Slam, and
<v Speaker 1>that's not what the fans and Okase wanted to hear.
<v Speaker 1>And so there were some booze. But Punk put his
<v Speaker 1>hand out and Cody shook it. Nick Aldos was still
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and he said, it looks like it's official.
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk defends the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam,
<v Speaker 1>And just like that. It was very simple, It was
<v Speaker 1>very quick. It was very simple. We have a main
<v Speaker 1>event for I don't just say main event for Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>If you are of the belief that the bigger main
<v Speaker 1>event is the one that closes the weekend, so the
<v Speaker 1>Night two main event, I give to you your Night
<v Speaker 1>two main event. Because Cody Roads against CM Punk is
<v Speaker 1>a much bigger deal than Roman Reigns against Seth rawlins.
<v Speaker 1>That's Night one again. If you think that it matters,
<v Speaker 1>that's Night one. This is Night two. This right here
<v Speaker 1>is the real main event of Summer Slam Weekend. This
<v Speaker 1>is a match that has not been done in many,
<v Speaker 1>many years. I think the only time these two ever
<v Speaker 1>wrestled each other. I know they wrestled on Raw. I'm
<v Speaker 1>trying to remember what year it would have been. God,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I want to say two thousand and nine,
<v Speaker 1>two thousand and eight, sometime around then. It's been a
<v Speaker 1>long ass time, and those were two very different performers
<v Speaker 1>back then than they are now. Right, They're a lot older,
<v Speaker 1>they are a lot more experienced, they're a lot grizzled,
<v Speaker 1>more grizzled than they were back then. They're both either
<v Speaker 1>world champion now former world champion. So for all intents
<v Speaker 1>and purposes, this is a fresh, first time ever match,
<v Speaker 1>and Ciampunk being on SmackDown obviously they're making that out
<v Speaker 1>to be a big deal because it is. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it is a big That's why, it's why they wanted him.
<v Speaker 1>That's why NBCUniversal wanted him on SmackDown. So I'm just saying,
<v Speaker 1>regardless of what WWE does, and I do think that
<v Speaker 1>they'll close with this. But regardless of what they do,
<v Speaker 1>this right here, this is the big main event of
<v Speaker 1>the weekend. Roman and Seth They're going to have a
<v Speaker 1>great match. It's a retread. It's a retread, you know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, these two have been off and on, They've
<v Speaker 1>been together and feuding for fucking fourteen years, you know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean? Like, who cares? Give me something different?
<v Speaker 1>This feels like something different because it is. They've tapped
<v Speaker 1>dance around this match for a while. I thought maybe
<v Speaker 1>there was a chance we might get it at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>this year at one point, and we didn't. But we're
<v Speaker 1>getting it here and I'm very happy about that. But again,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't get any more straightforward than the way they
<v Speaker 1>laid this out here. And I said this on the
<v Speaker 1>podcast this past weekend. I was like, if they do
<v Speaker 1>this match at SummerSlam, we're less than a month out
<v Speaker 1>from the show, right, We're talking really about three weeks
<v Speaker 1>worth the build here for a major match like this.
<v Speaker 1>Can you adequately promote this match in three weeks? And
<v Speaker 1>the answer is yes, because at the end of the day,
<v Speaker 1>what is going to carry the bill to this match? Right?
<v Speaker 1>The promos we know Punk can hold up his end
<v Speaker 1>on the mic. I mean, Punk can sell ice to
<v Speaker 1>an Eskimo. When he's motivated and you give him a
<v Speaker 1>great opponent or a great story, that's that's undeniable. I
<v Speaker 1>mean even when the punk shit was going on with
<v Speaker 1>aw and all that stuff. I mean, that was one
<v Speaker 1>thing I know. You can't you can't ever say anything
<v Speaker 1>bad about Punk's ability on the microphone to talk people
<v Speaker 1>into the building, right, That's not something that ever left him.
<v Speaker 1>So between his ability on the mic and Cody is
<v Speaker 1>no slouch himself. Honestly, a lot of his promos seem
<v Speaker 1>to just especially now, they sound very same y. But
<v Speaker 1>when he's motivated and when he has good material to
<v Speaker 1>work with, Cody is an a one promo himself. I
<v Speaker 1>think these two working against each other should bring out
<v Speaker 1>the best in each other. I like Cody being in
<v Speaker 1>the chasing spot for a change, when most of the
<v Speaker 1>time it feels like he's in the, you know, defending
<v Speaker 1>champion spot. This is a little bit different for him,
<v Speaker 1>and so I think in three weeks you'll have plenty
<v Speaker 1>of time to you know, build this up in the
<v Speaker 1>way you need to, just by having them go out
<v Speaker 1>there and cut promos on each other honestly, or do
<v Speaker 1>some you know, sit down interview type stuff. What I
<v Speaker 1>was going to say, And it's funny because I made
<v Speaker 1>a little bullet here in my notes about and this.
<v Speaker 1>Mind you, this was at the beginning of the show.
<v Speaker 1>I said, you can do this without all the usual
<v Speaker 1>wrestling tropes. You don't need the can they coexist? Tag
<v Speaker 1>team match, you don't need the contract signing. Right Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>by the time this show was over, we already found
<v Speaker 1>out we're getting the can you coexist? Tag team match?
<v Speaker 1>And you know, Dan, well, we're gonna get a fucking
<v Speaker 1>contract signing, so we're gonna get all the usual tropes regardless.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just saying they don't need it here. And there's
<v Speaker 1>a lot that can be said. I think in a
<v Speaker 1>lot that can be done in three weeks to build
<v Speaker 1>this matchup in the way that you you know, need
<v Speaker 1>to build it up. Ideally you'd have more time. But
<v Speaker 1>it's not like it isn't doable. It's not like that
<v Speaker 1>isn't a big match that's gonna get people very excited
<v Speaker 1>for SummerSlam. And also, here's the other thing I would
<v Speaker 1>say about this. This is the first match of what
<v Speaker 1>may well end up being multiple matches, and I'm not
<v Speaker 1>even saying they do them consecutively. Maybe they do the
<v Speaker 1>first match here, maybe they don't touch again until WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>next year, whenever it may be. My hope is that
<v Speaker 1>the next time we see it, one of them is
<v Speaker 1>a heel. Right now, it's Babyface against Babyface right for
<v Speaker 1>the first one, for the next one, whenever that may be.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even necessarily care who it is, although I
<v Speaker 1>would much rather see Cody go heel right now than punk,
<v Speaker 1>but a heel punk could be fun too. But either way,
<v Speaker 1>the next time, hopefully one of these two is not
<v Speaker 1>the you know, raw raw Babyface. You know I'm here blood,
<v Speaker 1>sweat and tears. I'm here for all you guys like
<v Speaker 1>fuck that shit, right, one of them will hopefully o'heal
<v Speaker 1>at some point, and the next time we see it,
<v Speaker 1>the whole dynamic will be turned upside down. Maybe it's
<v Speaker 1>wishful thinking, but that's my hope anyway. But they've kept
<v Speaker 1>them apart for long enough. These two, the two that
<v Speaker 1>got away from Tony Khan, two of the biggest name,
<v Speaker 1>maybe the two biggest names. Quite honestly, I was gonna
<v Speaker 1>say two of the biggest name, the two biggest names
<v Speaker 1>they got away from Tony Khn. There's a lot of
<v Speaker 1>fun to be had here with these two, but you
<v Speaker 1>can't escape the feeling that the primary reason that we
<v Speaker 1>are getting this at Summer Slam this year, and this
<v Speaker 1>is absolutely one hundred percent. I don't want to say
<v Speaker 1>the only reason, but the main reason that we are
<v Speaker 1>getting this match in three weeks time is because they
<v Speaker 1>have a shitload of tickets to sell for Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>The ticket sales for Summer Slam are not good, and
<v Speaker 1>by the time we get to Summer Slam, they'll have
<v Speaker 1>thirty something thousand, whatever they'll claim, of course, but they'll have,
<v Speaker 1>you know, more than what they have now. I think
<v Speaker 1>this match was going to move a lot of tickets.
<v Speaker 1>I do think the announcement of this will will juice
<v Speaker 1>up the ticket sales, but where they are now, they're
<v Speaker 1>in like the mid twenty thousand range, and Wrestle Votes
<v Speaker 1>had something earlier about how there's some degree of panic
<v Speaker 1>or concern, not that they kind of snuck up on them.
<v Speaker 1>They've known for a while that ticket sales for this
<v Speaker 1>show have been very soft, but they also didn't have
<v Speaker 1>a card announced. Now the card is starting to take shape,
<v Speaker 1>so we'll see, you know how those sales accelerate. But
<v Speaker 1>they need attractions. That's why they wanted to do Obafemi
<v Speaker 1>and brock Lesner inside Hell in a Cell they have that,
<v Speaker 1>They've got Roman in Seth they do their shield blowoff match,
<v Speaker 1>and now we have Cody and Punk, which is a
<v Speaker 1>major match, right, A lot of star power in that match.
<v Speaker 1>That's the reason why they're doing it. Look, I know, oh,
<v Speaker 1>wrestling promoter promotes wrestling match that they think will sell tickets. Yes, duh.
<v Speaker 1>Of course all wrestling promoters book matches that they hope
<v Speaker 1>we're going to sell tickets. But the reason we're getting
<v Speaker 1>this match now is because they have a lot of
<v Speaker 1>tickets to sell for SummerSlam. And we'll see if it works.
<v Speaker 1>As far as Sammy's Ain't is concerned, he was written
<v Speaker 1>off this week under the guise of he himself had
<v Speaker 1>requested some mental health time. You needed a mental health
<v Speaker 1>break is what he needed. Apparently. After if you saw
<v Speaker 1>that crash out when Raw went off the air, he
<v Speaker 1>cut a hell of a promo, very heated promo, which
<v Speaker 1>they did show later in the show very heated promo
<v Speaker 1>on cmpunk. We'll talk about that. We had Finn Balor
<v Speaker 1>against Toma Tonga Taalatanga was out there in Toma's corner.
<v Speaker 1>He grabbed Balor's leg, which gave tom a chance to
<v Speaker 1>take advantage ahead of a commercial break. Balor had the
<v Speaker 1>crowd very solidly behind him, so the match actually had
<v Speaker 1>some pretty good heat down the stretch entirely because the
<v Speaker 1>people just like Finn Balor. But Toma hit a running
<v Speaker 1>splash in the corner. He was setting up for another
<v Speaker 1>one when Balor charged at him and took him down
<v Speaker 1>with a sling blade and then a shotgun dropkick Tallatoga.
<v Speaker 1>He ran distraction which allowed Toma to hit the cutthroat
<v Speaker 1>and got a near fall out of that. Balor sent
<v Speaker 1>Toma out of the ring and then he took both
<v Speaker 1>of them out with a flip dive out over the
<v Speaker 1>top rope. He very quickly rushed Tomatonga back inside and
<v Speaker 1>he finished him off with the Kuda grass pin. Balor
<v Speaker 1>is no more. How about that Finn Balor actually wins
<v Speaker 1>a match here on SmackDown. I'm pleasantly surprised. Now, granted,
<v Speaker 1>of course, you know it was against the MFTs, so
<v Speaker 1>you know, what does it really mean? Because the MFTs
<v Speaker 1>don't exactly have a lot of momentum right now, or
<v Speaker 1>what's left of the MFTs don't really have a lot
<v Speaker 1>of momentum. But if you're Finn Balor, you kind of
<v Speaker 1>take him where you can find him. So it was
<v Speaker 1>nice to see him pick up a win here. It
<v Speaker 1>also looked like Talatoga hurt his leg. It was on
<v Speaker 1>the dive spot when Balor went sailing out of the
<v Speaker 1>ring and took both of them out. As he fell
<v Speaker 1>to the ground, you could see him grab his I
<v Speaker 1>believe it was his left quad on the way down.
<v Speaker 1>And then when the match ended and Balor quickly got
<v Speaker 1>out of the ring, Talatonga stepped over the top rope
<v Speaker 1>into the ring and he was walking, but he was
<v Speaker 1>still grab it at that quad. So hopefully he just
<v Speaker 1>if anything, hopefully he just pulled a muscle. I guess
<v Speaker 1>we'll find out soon enough. Backstage, Our Truth was paying
<v Speaker 1>out on a bet to axie him over Team USA's
<v Speaker 1>loss in the World Cup, and Nathan Fraser said that
<v Speaker 1>Americans are better off at eating hot dogs, but the
<v Speaker 1>Europeans are better at real football. Which is undoubtedly true.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think there's anything there's nothing factually incorrect about
<v Speaker 1>anything he said. There, the war Raiders showed up, and
<v Speaker 1>Eric told well, really both of them were tired of
<v Speaker 1>the bullshit in the games, but Eric is the one
<v Speaker 1>who really did most of the talking here. And he
<v Speaker 1>told Truth that Nick, all this is here tonight. You
<v Speaker 1>wanted all this, Priest had said, let's wait for all
<v Speaker 1>this to come back to make this title versus title
<v Speaker 1>match official. Well, all this is here tonight, so why
<v Speaker 1>don't you go talk to him about us having our match.
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy USO and Jacob Fatu entered, and Jimmy stood up
<v Speaker 1>for Truth, and then the war Raiders took their leave.
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy indicated that he was looking for Solo Socoa, and
<v Speaker 1>Fatu asked Truth if he had seen Royce Keys, and
<v Speaker 1>Truth got very nervous and he claimed that he had
<v Speaker 1>never seen him before Damian pre showed up. Priest said
<v Speaker 1>that he saw Royce Keys, so he knows that he's
<v Speaker 1>in the building tonight. Jimmy and Fatu they left, and
<v Speaker 1>then Truth asked Priest, why did you tell him that
<v Speaker 1>Keys was here? And Priest remember telling Truth previously that
<v Speaker 1>Royce Keys is not their problem. Elsewhere in the back,
<v Speaker 1>Nick Alldos is on the phone and guess who he
<v Speaker 1>is on the phone with. He is on the phone
<v Speaker 1>with Sammy z Ain, who is not present in the
<v Speaker 1>building tonight. Again he is taking a mental health break.
<v Speaker 1>So they really didn't talk about much of anything. This
<v Speaker 1>was just their way of having all this articulate for
<v Speaker 1>us on television. That Sammy told him he's taking a
<v Speaker 1>mental health break. I thought he was maybe be goin
<v Speaker 1>to announce a match right then and there. I thought
<v Speaker 1>he was going to give him his rematch at Saturday
<v Speaker 1>night's main event against Punk. Instead, Gunther walked in and
<v Speaker 1>so that conversation quickly came to an end. Gunther looks
<v Speaker 1>behind all this was a TV screen that had the
<v Speaker 1>match graphic on it for SummerSlam with Cody and Punk,
<v Speaker 1>and so Gunther is just glancing over at it, and
<v Speaker 1>then he looks at all this and he says, you
<v Speaker 1>need to fix this. He wanted all this to give
<v Speaker 1>him a Championshi match, and he gave him until the
<v Speaker 1>end of the night. You have until the end of
<v Speaker 1>the show to fix this, and all this said to him,
<v Speaker 1>I'll take it under consideration. Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso
<v Speaker 1>they were in the ring and they were requesting the
<v Speaker 1>presence of Solo's soca. They didn't get Solo Soca. Instead,
<v Speaker 1>they got Royce Keys. Jimmy said, you don't look like Solo.
<v Speaker 1>Key said that the issue that he has with Jimmy
<v Speaker 1>is last week you mentioned my name. This week you
<v Speaker 1>mentioned my name. So guess what. And this is what
<v Speaker 1>he said, he brought Royce to that ass. Hmmm, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know about that line. I don't know if that's
<v Speaker 1>gonna stick. I brought Royce to your ass, That's what
<v Speaker 1>he told them. But he guesses that Jimmy's here to
<v Speaker 1>handle that family business. He goes that family business is
<v Speaker 1>affecting everyone around here, and it's starting to affect me.
<v Speaker 1>So Jimmy said, tonight it's all about OTC business. He said,
<v Speaker 1>OTC the man that you run the place for, the
<v Speaker 1>man who's not even here. So Jacob objected to this,
<v Speaker 1>and so Jacob stepped up to him. That's his boy, right,
<v Speaker 1>That's what they've told us, that these two are just
<v Speaker 1>thick as thieves. They go back a long time. So
<v Speaker 1>he steps up to Keys and Fontsu says, you know
<v Speaker 1>the two of us are tight, so let's keep it
<v Speaker 1>that way. Keys can say anything else about anyone, but
<v Speaker 1>when it comes to the OTC, he said, please, I'm
<v Speaker 1>begging you, please don't go there. Jimmy told Keys that
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't tell them what to do. He's not part
<v Speaker 1>of his family. Key said, the blood doesn't make your
<v Speaker 1>ass family. It's loyalty that makes your ass family. You
<v Speaker 1>know how many family members he lost? Said, your family
<v Speaker 1>has fighting brother and cousin, fighting cousin. I wish I
<v Speaker 1>had family that I could text and call. But Jacob
<v Speaker 1>knows this. He knows I ain't got no family. Jacob's
<v Speaker 1>been a brother to him and he refuses to let
<v Speaker 1>him fall. So Jimmy said the Keys was about to
<v Speaker 1>cross a line that he can't come back from. Do
<v Speaker 1>you understand me? And Key said, I didn't come here
<v Speaker 1>to fight tonight, but guess what it looks like. There's
<v Speaker 1>a line right there. And he took a step and
<v Speaker 1>he said, and I just crossed it. Jimmy said that
<v Speaker 1>he and Jacob will put a beating on him worse
<v Speaker 1>than anyone has ever beaten on him, or beaten him whatever,
<v Speaker 1>I've just completely lost my marbles here. They're gonna beat
<v Speaker 1>him worse than he's been beaten before, is basically what
<v Speaker 1>he said. And Jacob said we he goes there ain't
<v Speaker 1>no we here, Big jim this one's on you. I'm
<v Speaker 1>out and Jacob left the ring. Jimmy said, I then
<v Speaker 1>Nick all this, get a referee out here. Let's make
<v Speaker 1>this thing official. And he told Keys, you can't come
<v Speaker 1>back from this because that line right there, and then
<v Speaker 1>he went to go cheap shot him. Keys though, stopped him,
<v Speaker 1>and he sent him out over the top rope with
<v Speaker 1>a clothes line and they cut to commercial. This was
<v Speaker 1>a very boring segment. This was a very boring television segment,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't really have a whole lot to say
<v Speaker 1>about it. I mean, I'm glad that Royce Keys is
<v Speaker 1>getting some promo time, but this bloodline stuff. Man, Ugh,
<v Speaker 1>this was very dull. But it did lead to the
<v Speaker 1>next match, which was Jimmy Usso against Royce Keys. Now,
<v Speaker 1>what this match should have been was Royce Keys laying
<v Speaker 1>a beat down on his ass. That's what this match
<v Speaker 1>should have been. That's not what this match turned out
<v Speaker 1>to be. Jimmy flew out of the ring at one
<v Speaker 1>point with a pretty bad suicide dive before tossing Keys
<v Speaker 1>over the announced desk. They took yet another commercial break.
<v Speaker 1>After that break, Keys landed a pop up power slam
<v Speaker 1>for a two count, and then down came the straps
<v Speaker 1>and out goes Jimmy. He rolls out to the floor.
<v Speaker 1>He goes out after him. He picks him up. He
<v Speaker 1>drops him not once but twice on top of the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk with the world's strongest slam, and then Keys
<v Speaker 1>hoisted him up on his shoulders. Jimmy, though, sent him
<v Speaker 1>face first into the ring post. And now Jimmy is
<v Speaker 1>leaned up against the timekeeper's barricade. He's trying to catch
<v Speaker 1>his breath. He's trying to collect himself, and all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, out from behind the barricade we see Solo Socoa.
<v Speaker 1>He really loves those red the pants, right, the red pants.
<v Speaker 1>He's been wearing red for weeks. I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't have blue. You wear red on Monday, you
<v Speaker 1>wear blue on Friday. But red is the only color
<v Speaker 1>that apparently he has in his wardrobe right now. But
<v Speaker 1>there he is behind the timekeeper's barricade and he attacked Jimmy.
<v Speaker 1>He was about to spike him when they played Jacob's music,
<v Speaker 1>so he spared him and out comes Jacob Fatu. Solo
<v Speaker 1>wasn't running away, met him right at rings. As Jacob
<v Speaker 1>came down, they met outside the ring, they started going
<v Speaker 1>at it. They ended up over the timekeeper's barricade. Actually
<v Speaker 1>Jacob went kind of to the side of it, but whatever,
<v Speaker 1>they ended up getting taken out in that area. All
<v Speaker 1>of this, though, distracted Royce Keys long enough that when
<v Speaker 1>he turned around, he ate a spear from Jimmy Uso,
<v Speaker 1>and Jimmy Uso went ahead and pinned Royce Keys to
<v Speaker 1>win the match, Good Lord. After the match, fa Tu
<v Speaker 1>got Solo in the ring. He stomped him in the corner.
<v Speaker 1>He spun him around and fat two didn't hit him.
<v Speaker 1>He was very upset though the two of them were
<v Speaker 1>actually was more Keys there was talking to him. Fatsu
<v Speaker 1>looked remorseful, but then he superkicked Keys and then he
<v Speaker 1>gave him a running standing sent on here, Jimmy slid
<v Speaker 1>a chair into the ring. Two plays the chair around
<v Speaker 1>Solo's head. Solo was sitting in the corner. Fatu backed
<v Speaker 1>up and he was going to go for the running
<v Speaker 1>hip attack. As he came in, though, he put on
<v Speaker 1>the brakes, and I'm watching this and I'm like, I
<v Speaker 1>thought he was all gassed, no brakes wit it Apparently not,
<v Speaker 1>because tonight he put the brakes on and then he
<v Speaker 1>knelt down in front of Solo and he said, you
<v Speaker 1>better listen up on Monday when we speak to you,
<v Speaker 1>because next time he won't stop. And Wade Barrett on
<v Speaker 1>commentary said, the message that was being sent is that
<v Speaker 1>Solo should come to Raw on Monday so that they
<v Speaker 1>could speak to him on behalf of the tribal chief
<v Speaker 1>and Joe Tessiturus said that Raw would be fascinating given
<v Speaker 1>what just happened. No, no, it won't. There's nothing fascinating
<v Speaker 1>about any of this. They actually, I said at the beginning,
<v Speaker 1>they actually found a way to get me to cheer
<v Speaker 1>for Solo, so coen. And it's the weirdest thing here
<v Speaker 1>because I don't know who anybody is supposed to be anymore.
<v Speaker 1>There's so much in the way of like shades of
<v Speaker 1>great and shades of gray could be a good thing,
<v Speaker 1>but like it's kind of like the Death Riders stuff.
<v Speaker 1>After a while, you don't know, like, am I supposed
<v Speaker 1>to like these people because I really don't like them,
<v Speaker 1>but like they're putting them in there against heels or
<v Speaker 1>the people in the audience are like cheering them, or
<v Speaker 1>they're split, and I don't know what this is supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be. That's basically where we're at right now with
<v Speaker 1>the bloodline. From one week to the next. Roman never changes,
<v Speaker 1>right Roman reigns has always been a heel and the
<v Speaker 1>fans can cheer and they could chant otc all they
<v Speaker 1>want to. He's a fucking heel. Okay, that hasn't changed.
<v Speaker 1>That's very well established. He's an asshole, so we know that.
<v Speaker 1>So then we have the ussos and again it seems
<v Speaker 1>to change from week to week. The people love to
<v Speaker 1>yeat when Jay Uso comes out, but even Jay like
<v Speaker 1>sometimes he gets all like riled up about something or
<v Speaker 1>he gets up in like La Knight's face or whatever
<v Speaker 1>it may be. And we don't know if he supposed
<v Speaker 1>to be a healer, a babyface, Jimmy, same thing, Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the fuck is going on with Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>It's sad. It's sad that I was more into seeing
<v Speaker 1>what Solo Sokoa was going to do tonight than Jacob Fatu.
<v Speaker 1>But this is where we are Solo like, is he
<v Speaker 1>gonna go Babyface or not? I don't know, but it
<v Speaker 1>seems pretty clear to me that come Summer Slam it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be a six man tag because all of
<v Speaker 1>these men are intertwined. Right tonight it was Solo and Keys.
<v Speaker 1>The only person who was not on the show tonight
<v Speaker 1>and involved in all this was La Night. And if
<v Speaker 1>they're saying that they want Solo to come to RAW
<v Speaker 1>on Monday, then that's probably when we see La Night
<v Speaker 1>get involved in this and we'll get a six man
<v Speaker 1>tag and it'll be Jacob Fatu in the USOS against
<v Speaker 1>Royce Key, Solo, Socoa, and La Night at SummerSlam. Right
<v Speaker 1>It's it's it seemed very likely for the past week
<v Speaker 1>or so that that's the match that they're building towards here.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, watching Jimmy, you know, beat Keys in
<v Speaker 1>this match with a fucking spear, it was just depressing.
<v Speaker 1>It was I was really hop hoping this match was
<v Speaker 1>not going to go that way, and then they did
<v Speaker 1>it and I was like, oh God, speaking of Oh God,
<v Speaker 1>there he is. There's Vince say he loot of Vince McMahon,
<v Speaker 1>everybody on your screen? Who is that? Who set that
<v Speaker 1>super chat in Raheem Cody Raheem Cody says Punk's chest
<v Speaker 1>hair is his waxer on leave. I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't really paying much attention to his chest, Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>Raheem Cody. Sammy's ain his social media video from after All,
<v Speaker 1>the one that I referenced earlier, the crash out. They
<v Speaker 1>showed it here on this show. He was complaining about
<v Speaker 1>cm Punk, you know, ruining not just his title, reigning me.
<v Speaker 1>He said, after twenty four years, how could this guy
<v Speaker 1>come back when he's been gone for two months? He
<v Speaker 1>hasn't even been around. He just shows up and just
<v Speaker 1>like that, he's the new WWE champion. They censored him.
<v Speaker 1>He called Punk a motherfucker. So Kathy Kelly interviewed Punk
<v Speaker 1>in the back and she asked him about Sammy's comments
<v Speaker 1>and Gunther's comments. I just noticed we are one away
<v Speaker 1>from the bonus goal. Very good. By the way, for
<v Speaker 1>those of you who are joining late, there's the wheel.
<v Speaker 1>Three hundred and fifty likes was the main goal. We
<v Speaker 1>have surpassed that. We are now at four oh nine
<v Speaker 1>so we are guaranteed one round, possibly two. We're nine
<v Speaker 1>out of ten on the bonus goal. We'll see how
<v Speaker 1>that goes. But Kathy asked him about the comments being
<v Speaker 1>made by Zay and by Gunther, and Punk said he
<v Speaker 1>hopes everyone is upset that he's wrestling Cody Road at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>Said that he wants everybody to be upset about it
<v Speaker 1>because they can get in line behind them. And Punk
<v Speaker 1>said he's been called much worse, especially on social media,
<v Speaker 1>than what Sammy's aint called him. So Punk turned and
<v Speaker 1>he saw Johnny Gargano what else, planking on a crate
<v Speaker 1>and Candace Loray was standing right next to him. Candace
<v Speaker 1>says that, you know, sammy'se a might be annoying, but
<v Speaker 1>he never gave up on Johnny. There was hope for
<v Speaker 1>people like them because of Sammy's ain't and Punk stole
<v Speaker 1>that from them. And Punk says, you know, he hopes
<v Speaker 1>that Johnny can hear him. He remembers the real Johnny,
<v Speaker 1>Johnny wrestling, and Candace too. He says that they should
<v Speaker 1>be in the ring doing what they do best because
<v Speaker 1>this this isn't working. It hasn't been working for months.
<v Speaker 1>But that hasn't stopped them from continuing to do it.
<v Speaker 1>So he turned to go leave, and standing there is
<v Speaker 1>Finn Balor smiling in his face, and Balor welcomes the
<v Speaker 1>champion to SmackDown. I look forward to the inevitable third
<v Speaker 1>encounter when Punk beats Balor again. I said before, you know,
<v Speaker 1>pinn Balor is gone, but I didn't say pin Balor
<v Speaker 1>was gone forever. Pin Balor is gone for one night.
<v Speaker 1>He's gone for one week. He'll be back. Oh, he'll
<v Speaker 1>be back, Pinn Balor. From what I understand, I got
<v Speaker 1>some breaking news here. This isn't even news that Meltz
<v Speaker 1>had or Sap or anybody else or Wrestle votes or
<v Speaker 1>Wressel votes or anyone. I hear from my birdies and
<v Speaker 1>my sources that pin Balor is actually away on vacation Ireland.
<v Speaker 1>He's gone back to go you know, visit the family
<v Speaker 1>and you know, just do what you do in Ireland.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't been to Ireland. It is one place I
<v Speaker 1>would like to go to one day. But he'll be back.
<v Speaker 1>Oht believe me, he'll be back, and it won't be
<v Speaker 1>very long before he's back. After this, we had Alexa
<v Speaker 1>Bliss with Charlotte Flair in her corner, taking on Jade
<v Speaker 1>Cargill who had the batties meechin and BFAB in hers.
<v Speaker 1>Later in the match, there was an attempt by Bliss
<v Speaker 1>at a high cross body. She got snatched right out
<v Speaker 1>of the air, caught by Jade, but she reversed out
<v Speaker 1>of that into a sister Abigail DDT attempt and when
<v Speaker 1>she did boy she got a nice pop for it too.
<v Speaker 1>She couldn't follow through though on the move. Jade was
<v Speaker 1>able to counter out of that. The batties got involved here,
<v Speaker 1>so Charlotte reciprocated, and then Meetchen went after Charlotte. Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>took out Meechen, but then Bfab took out Charlotte. Bfab
<v Speaker 1>at that point gets up on the apron. Alexa then
<v Speaker 1>knocks Bfab off the apron, but then she turned and
<v Speaker 1>walked right into a pump kick and then Jade put
<v Speaker 1>her down with Jaded to win the match. Now, when
<v Speaker 1>the match was over, the batties they were going on
<v Speaker 1>a three on one assault here basically on Charlotte. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>Jade grabs a steel chair or they grab one for her.
<v Speaker 1>Alexa is still down. She places Alexa's left arm in
<v Speaker 1>the chair, and I thought she was gonna stomp on
<v Speaker 1>it like pilmanize it. She didn't do that. She begins
<v Speaker 1>to bend the chair backwards a little bit, and you
<v Speaker 1>can see the angle of Alexa's elbow is. It's all
<v Speaker 1>like the torque is being put on it. It's bending
<v Speaker 1>at this, this disgusting angle. And again, for those of
<v Speaker 1>you who don't remember, or if you weren't watching SmackDown back,
<v Speaker 1>then she is double jointed. They've done a couple of
<v Speaker 1>angles before. It's definitely more than once they've done the
<v Speaker 1>angle where excuse me, somebody does something to her and
<v Speaker 1>they try to break her arm, snap it whatever, and
<v Speaker 1>then she can just kind of, I guess, you know, whatever,
<v Speaker 1>like just twist it in such a way that makes
<v Speaker 1>you want to vomit. Right, it looks great, It looks
<v Speaker 1>devastating and looks disgusting. It looks painful. I do wonder though,
<v Speaker 1>if that is uh any of our double jointed people
<v Speaker 1>can tell me if there is any any real pain involved.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I am not double jointed. Even if
<v Speaker 1>I was, I don't think I would have the balls
<v Speaker 1>to even try something like that. But anyway, so she
<v Speaker 1>begins to wrench back on the chair and then Alexis
<v Speaker 1>starts turning with her. So it didn't really like the
<v Speaker 1>last thing Jay did was she gave it like one
<v Speaker 1>good snap down to the mat and Alexis sold it
<v Speaker 1>well and everything. But like when Alexa started moving her
<v Speaker 1>own body and kind of rolling over because she was
<v Speaker 1>on her stomach and now she's I don't know, it
<v Speaker 1>just it felt. I don't know if it was meant
<v Speaker 1>to come off that way or not. That part didn't
<v Speaker 1>look too great. But at the end of it, she's
<v Speaker 1>selling the arm and they're showing the arm. They get
<v Speaker 1>a close up view and it's at this disgusting angle,
<v Speaker 1>and it was great. I thought it was actually a
<v Speaker 1>very effective way of putting heat on Jade. She went
<v Speaker 1>after Charlotte's partner, She went after her best friend. They
<v Speaker 1>did something very similar earlier this year. Oh yeah, with
<v Speaker 1>Jade and Rhea going into WrestleMania. I said, the only
<v Speaker 1>card they really have to play here, if they really
<v Speaker 1>want to put some heat on Jade and get some
<v Speaker 1>sympathy for Rhea wanting to get revenge, you have Jade
<v Speaker 1>go after EO, try to believe is what she did
<v Speaker 1>to try to get to to Ria. So they're just
<v Speaker 1>running the same angle back here. They're just doing it
<v Speaker 1>with Charlotte and Alexa instead. But I thought what they
<v Speaker 1>did was actually very effective. Jojo says, it's not painful
<v Speaker 1>for me, Okay, good, good, Well you know who it
<v Speaker 1>was painful for. Although this was not double joint. This
<v Speaker 1>is something completely different. But it made me think of
<v Speaker 1>Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon when his shoulder goes out.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's the thing where he did It's SummerSlam last
<v Speaker 1>year and he has to find like a wall or
<v Speaker 1>something or a pole, and he smashes his shoulder and
<v Speaker 1>put his shoulder back into place that I would imagine
<v Speaker 1>that has to hurt like a fucking bitch. Oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>that's very different. Though I had my arm pulled out
<v Speaker 1>of the socket when I was very young, it did
<v Speaker 1>not from what I remember, it did not feel too good.
<v Speaker 1>In the back, Uh, here we go, Here we go.
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams is in the back, and Trick is very
<v Speaker 1>concerned because he seemingly has misplaced his United States Championship
<v Speaker 1>Lil YACHTI comes in and he says, actually he got trick,
<v Speaker 1>a new title, a legacy version of the United States Championship,
<v Speaker 1>which now has a white fur strap. I want you
<v Speaker 1>to look look at this thing. I have lifted these
<v Speaker 1>photos directly from WWE shop dot com. Oh, they time
<v Speaker 1>this out. I would imagine this went live tonight at
<v Speaker 1>some point, unless it's been up for a while and
<v Speaker 1>we're only first seeing it on TV. But hot off
<v Speaker 1>the presses. This is what the United States Championship now
<v Speaker 1>looks like. Would you look at this thing? Look at
<v Speaker 1>this fucking belt. They have turned the United States Championship
<v Speaker 1>into gandolf. Also, they can sell them for seven hundred bucks,
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred dollars for this, and believe me, they will,
<v Speaker 1>Oh they will. They're guaranteed to sell out of these things.
<v Speaker 1>They just put up the Crown Jewel Championship as a
<v Speaker 1>replica for two thousand dollars. They're almost sold out of those.
<v Speaker 1>This is the front of the belt. Look at the back,
<v Speaker 1>Look at the strap. Look at this. My god, what
<v Speaker 1>an ugly fucking belt. They actually they made it worse
<v Speaker 1>the United States Championship. Is that a fairly nice looking belt,
<v Speaker 1>and they actually found a way to make it worse.
<v Speaker 1>I know you know the champions get custom belts. I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't really a fan of the Spinner all those years ago,
<v Speaker 1>but there have been some custom belts that I've liked.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like the Smoking Skull is still like the
<v Speaker 1>iconic I mean, I guess he's in the million Dollar belt,
<v Speaker 1>but like the million Dollar belt, the Smoking Skull belt, right,
<v Speaker 1>there have been some really cool custom belts. This is
<v Speaker 1>not one of them. Yes, it looks like a fucking Ferbie.
<v Speaker 1>Don't get this thing. Oh my god. Now, I can't
<v Speaker 1>wait for him to lose this championship. But the fact
<v Speaker 1>that they're selling these, you know he ain't losing that
<v Speaker 1>title anytime soon. I can't wait, though, for him to
<v Speaker 1>lose his belt now so we don't have to look
<v Speaker 1>at this anymore. We had Trick Williams though, in a
<v Speaker 1>non title match after this against Carmelo Hayes. Now, early
<v Speaker 1>in this match, they showed Ricky saying, yeah, they're not
<v Speaker 1>shipping it until November. It's a good point offman, so
<v Speaker 1>I'm not expecting him to be dropping this title anytime soon.
<v Speaker 1>These belts don't even ship out until November. Falcon Star
<v Speaker 1>says the million Dollar Belt was the million dollar belt
<v Speaker 1>was awesome. The million dollar belt was very very cool.
<v Speaker 1>I actually know it was really cool about the million
<v Speaker 1>dollar belt is when DiBiase finally went into the jewelry
<v Speaker 1>shop to pick up the belt after weeks and weeks
<v Speaker 1>and weeks of vignettes, and he busts into the shop
<v Speaker 1>and he's wearing a cape for reasons that I still
<v Speaker 1>don't understand. He's wearing a fucking cape, and he just
<v Speaker 1>busts through the doors and he says, I'm here, and
<v Speaker 1>everyone's all spooked. He almost gave my heart attack. And
<v Speaker 1>then the guy's like, yes, mister Dibias, we finally were
<v Speaker 1>finally finished. We finally have a championship belt ready for you,
<v Speaker 1>worthy of you. And we never see what the belt
<v Speaker 1>looks like, but they have this great shot, very over
<v Speaker 1>the top. The guy is like opening the box or
<v Speaker 1>whatever that it's in, and we see a point of
<v Speaker 1>view shot from like looking up at DiBiase's face and
<v Speaker 1>he's just looking at it and he did that maniacal
<v Speaker 1>like cackle and laugh. It was like so over the
<v Speaker 1>top and cheesy, but it was so fucking great. And
<v Speaker 1>then they debuted the belt and it looked it looked tremendous.
<v Speaker 1>It looked tremendous. Not worth a million dollars. I think
<v Speaker 1>he said the belt was made for about forty thousand,
<v Speaker 1>but still that's a hey to me. A forty thousand
<v Speaker 1>dollars belt is still a very expensive belt. They showed
<v Speaker 1>Ricky Saints on a television in the back watching this
<v Speaker 1>match these two. I thought we were actually having a
<v Speaker 1>pretty solid match that was building nicely. I can't fault
<v Speaker 1>them for not wanting to give too much away here.
<v Speaker 1>I think they gave just enough away. But I can't
<v Speaker 1>fault them for not wanting to give too much away
<v Speaker 1>if the plan is to run this back at SummerSlam.
<v Speaker 1>But about that. About that, Hayes first forty eight got
<v Speaker 1>countered into a year in Agie. Hayes the counter that
<v Speaker 1>into a roll up for a two count. So Mellow
<v Speaker 1>was looking for another frog splash after he had hit
<v Speaker 1>a successful one earlier in the match. It was a
<v Speaker 1>great one too, He got some great height on it
<v Speaker 1>this time, though he crashed and burned and outside the ring.
<v Speaker 1>They ended up outside the ring, Hayes shoved trick into
<v Speaker 1>Lil YACHTI, and YACHTI took a bump, went down back inside,
<v Speaker 1>Mellow connected with the first forty eight and he headed
<v Speaker 1>up to the top when all of a sudden, we
<v Speaker 1>hear this commotion from the crowd and I'm like, is
<v Speaker 1>Ricky Saints coming out? Like What's what's happening here? And
<v Speaker 1>Baron Corbin is on the apron. I'm like, what the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>What's he doing here? We knew he was coming him back, right,
<v Speaker 1>He just I think had to vacate one of his championships,
<v Speaker 1>tag team title. I think in MLW it seemed pretty
<v Speaker 1>clear he was on his way back. But I just
<v Speaker 1>had it in my head that he was going to
<v Speaker 1>be involved in some comedy bullshit and certainly was not
<v Speaker 1>going to be involved in any of this. And all
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden, there he is in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>this match, and he is standing on the apron and
<v Speaker 1>Hayes looks down at him, and Hayes ends up, you know,
<v Speaker 1>getting knocked off the ropes, and the referee basically just
<v Speaker 1>throws the match out. So he gives Carmelo the End
<v Speaker 1>of Days. He gives Trick the End of Days. He
<v Speaker 1>goes outside, he grabs the Ferbie, the Ferbie belt, and
<v Speaker 1>he brings it into the ring, drops it over Trick's
<v Speaker 1>body and then he leaves some generic music that they
<v Speaker 1>played for him. The match was going fine, and then
<v Speaker 1>he showed up, and it was a legitimate surprise to me,
<v Speaker 1>not that he would come back, but that he would
<v Speaker 1>come back in this spot that I did not see
<v Speaker 1>coming because of the stuff with the gurney and dan
<v Speaker 1>Housen's laboratory. And again there were no reports about what
<v Speaker 1>he was going to be doing. It was just we
<v Speaker 1>see the Dan Housen stuff every single week. There's this
<v Speaker 1>long body, this big guy laying on a gurney. You
<v Speaker 1>hear rumors that Baron Corbin is on his way back.
<v Speaker 1>You put two and two together and you're like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 1>he must be under the sheet. And then he wasn't
<v Speaker 1>under Maybe he was under the sheet. Maybe he just
<v Speaker 1>finally woke up and he decided, Okay, I'm back. I
<v Speaker 1>want to go after the US title. I shouldn't say
<v Speaker 1>that we don't know for sure that he was under
<v Speaker 1>the sheet, but it doesn't look like it's him under
<v Speaker 1>the sheet. So I'm a much bigger fan of reintroducing
<v Speaker 1>him in this way because at least here he's being
<v Speaker 1>introduced into a serious program in the mid card, you know,
<v Speaker 1>for their second biggest men's championship on the show, instead
<v Speaker 1>of being reintroduced as part of some kind of comedy
<v Speaker 1>goof So already, this is a much better spot for
<v Speaker 1>him to be in than the one I thought they
<v Speaker 1>were going to give him. What this means for Summer Slim,
<v Speaker 1>We'll have to see. Now you look at this, he
<v Speaker 1>attacked Trick and he attacked Mellow, So you start to
<v Speaker 1>think triple threats because now they're both going to have
<v Speaker 1>issues with him because he laid them both out. Is
<v Speaker 1>that what we're looking at here? Right? But then they
<v Speaker 1>showed Ricky Saints watching on in the back earlier. Even
<v Speaker 1>though Ricky Saints got beat clean by Trick at Night
<v Speaker 1>of Champions, they showed him for a reason. Does Ricky
<v Speaker 1>end up being a part of this at Summer Slim.
<v Speaker 1>I don't really see the need for it. He was
<v Speaker 1>already beaten. You could do it like if you wanted
<v Speaker 1>to do a four. I mean, we're getting ahead of
<v Speaker 1>ourselves here, but I'm just saying, you have a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of people now that are involved in this US title picture.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure that we're going to end up getting Trick
<v Speaker 1>and Mellow in the ring together at Summer Slim. But
<v Speaker 1>are they going to introduce Corbin into that and turn
<v Speaker 1>it into a three way based on what we saw here,
<v Speaker 1>I think that's a pretty safe assumption. As far as
<v Speaker 1>Corbyn being back, you know, when he got released, he
<v Speaker 1>went on an indie run. He found great success in
<v Speaker 1>MLW actually as part of that team with with de Jack,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like the New Skyscrapers. You know, he did
<v Speaker 1>a shot for Hog, but he worked you know, different
<v Speaker 1>different indies and it was doing very well for himself.
<v Speaker 1>I know he had the gig on the Sirius XM,
<v Speaker 1>so we had a few different things going on. I
<v Speaker 1>hope for his sake that this time things will be
<v Speaker 1>different than they were the last time when they called
<v Speaker 1>him up from NXT to the main roster and it
<v Speaker 1>seemed like that was the worst possible thing they could do.
<v Speaker 1>Funny enough, I remember Donovan de Jack saying something similar
<v Speaker 1>that when he was in NXT and he was chosen last.
<v Speaker 1>I believe in the supplemental draft to go back to
<v Speaker 1>Monday Night Raw, he knew it was over. He got
<v Speaker 1>called back up and before he even made it to
<v Speaker 1>Raw he knew it was over, and it was, and
<v Speaker 1>so for Corbin's sake, you know, him coming back, hopefully
<v Speaker 1>it'll be a little bit better for him. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>expecting anything radically different for him, just like I wasn't
<v Speaker 1>expecting anything radically different from Matt Cardona. Cardona is exactly
<v Speaker 1>in the spot that I expected him to be in.
<v Speaker 1>I suspect Corbyn will be in a very similar spot
<v Speaker 1>to what I anticipate he'll be in. But like, could
<v Speaker 1>he end up having a US title run and maybe
<v Speaker 1>at some point. I still don't see them taking the
<v Speaker 1>belt off trick anytime soon, But I mean, this is
<v Speaker 1>a good spot for him to be back in, and
<v Speaker 1>I think he's a perfectly solid, you know, pickup for
<v Speaker 1>that mid card on SmackDown. Yeah. I've ragged on Corbin
<v Speaker 1>before just because of some of the shitty gimmicks that
<v Speaker 1>he had. I mean, god, it just got to a point,
<v Speaker 1>like the constable stuff and the happy Corbin stuff. Dude,
<v Speaker 1>it was fucking awful. I mean, he tried to make
<v Speaker 1>the most of it. What are you gonna do, right,
<v Speaker 1>You try to make it work. You try to turn
<v Speaker 1>chicken shit into chicken salad as best you can. I
<v Speaker 1>still say that I was the biggest fan of his
<v Speaker 1>when he was you know, bum as Corbin in the street,
<v Speaker 1>down on his luck, you know, with spaghetti sauce on
<v Speaker 1>his fucking shirt, and that there was more meat on
<v Speaker 1>the bone there. There was more they could have done
<v Speaker 1>with that to turn him into an even bigger babyface.
<v Speaker 1>But now he's back and we'll see, we'll see where
<v Speaker 1>they go with him for SummerSlam. But based on what
<v Speaker 1>they did here, I think it seems pretty clear where
<v Speaker 1>he's going to end up. So then to close the show,
<v Speaker 1>close the show, we had Gunther make his way out
<v Speaker 1>to the ring and he called out Nick Aldis, who
<v Speaker 1>raced out to the ring and said that he had
<v Speaker 1>time to think about it and he was going to
<v Speaker 1>give gun Through exactly what he wants by having CM
<v Speaker 1>Punk and Cody Rhodes at Madison Square Garden next weekend,
<v Speaker 1>and he announced it will be CM Punk and Cody
<v Speaker 1>Rhads together as tag team partners taking on Gunther and
<v Speaker 1>the last real good guy Sammy's a. Gunh told all this,
<v Speaker 1>I warned you to fix this mistake. All this said.
<v Speaker 1>The only mistake that needed to be fixed was me
<v Speaker 1>thinking that you would not be a giant pain in
<v Speaker 1>my ass after I signed you to this brand. All
<v Speaker 1>this then announced the crowd that the Summer Slam main
<v Speaker 1>event would remain CM Punk against Cody Rhoades for the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Championship, which again should put to bed any notion
<v Speaker 1>of Gunther or Sammy Zain or anybody else being added
<v Speaker 1>to that match. So Gunther had enough of this shit,
<v Speaker 1>and as all this was making this announcement, Gunther ambushed
<v Speaker 1>him from behind. Then he picked him back up, and
<v Speaker 1>he dropped him with a clothesline. Then he put him
<v Speaker 1>in a sleeperhole. So here come referees and producers and
<v Speaker 1>they're trying to, you know, pull this guy off, and
<v Speaker 1>finally they get Gunher to release the hold. But then
<v Speaker 1>Gunher laid all this out with a big boot. When
<v Speaker 1>he gets back up to his feet and he reapplies
<v Speaker 1>the sleeper and he refuses to let go. All of
<v Speaker 1>these men are trying to pull him off and they
<v Speaker 1>are unable to do so they're powerless to do anything
<v Speaker 1>about this until finally we hear Cody Roads music and
<v Speaker 1>Cody comes out. He did not seem in any great
<v Speaker 1>rush to get to the ring and help Nick. All
<v Speaker 1>this I'd be very upset if I was Nick all this.
<v Speaker 1>Cody didn't sprint down to the ring. He came out
<v Speaker 1>very casually. He took the time to take his track
<v Speaker 1>jacket off, and as he's in the middle of making
<v Speaker 1>his way, he did not even hit the ring. He
<v Speaker 1>was on his way to the ring, but before he
<v Speaker 1>could even hit the ring, and Joe Tessitur was in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of speaking, he was in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>a sentence, the show just cut off that They had
<v Speaker 1>put the copyright box and the producer credits on like
<v Speaker 1>a lot earlier, I think when Gunther had all this
<v Speaker 1>in the sleeper hold, so that was already shown earlier,
<v Speaker 1>but they just very abruptly just cut the show off again,
<v Speaker 1>like oh we forgot, We're not three hours anymore now.
<v Speaker 1>On social media, they have since posted the clip of
<v Speaker 1>what happened when the show went off the air, which
<v Speaker 1>is absolutely nothing. Gunther left the ring, Cody got the mic,
<v Speaker 1>he wanted to wrestle Gunther right here, right now, send
<v Speaker 1>out a referee, and instead Gunther just walked to the
<v Speaker 1>back and everybody booed and that was the end of that.
<v Speaker 1>So we didn't really miss much of anything. But it
<v Speaker 1>was very very odd. It didn't strike me as something
<v Speaker 1>they did on purpose. This is actually something we would
<v Speaker 1>occasionally see back in the day on like Raw or Nitro,
<v Speaker 1>especially Nitro. This was like very abrupt though. This was like,
<v Speaker 1>there's no way they were anticipating going off the air
<v Speaker 1>when they did with Joe tessitour in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>a sentence, So that was just very very strange. They
<v Speaker 1>seem to have missed time the end of the show.
<v Speaker 1>But for the official Summer Slim match that we got tonight,
<v Speaker 1>there's this other Summer Slim match that is not yet official,
<v Speaker 1>but basically we know it's going to be based on
<v Speaker 1>what we just saw because now there can be no
<v Speaker 1>doubt even though he's already been reinstated, he's back in
<v Speaker 1>the GM role. Nick All, this is going to wrestle
<v Speaker 1>his first match in WWE unless he picks a surrogate
<v Speaker 1>to take his place, but I don't see any reason
<v Speaker 1>to do that. The issue was between him and Gunther,
<v Speaker 1>and they've built it up now to where people are
<v Speaker 1>going to want to see that match. You know, they
<v Speaker 1>gave us a pl match last year between Gunther and
<v Speaker 1>Pat McAfee if they could do gun Through against Pat McAfee.
<v Speaker 1>They could do fucking gun Through against Nick All this,
<v Speaker 1>and he'll finally get to wrestle a match. And of
<v Speaker 1>all the people for him to get in the ring with, like,
<v Speaker 1>there are fewer names I could think of that would
<v Speaker 1>be a great opponent for him than Gunther. You know,
<v Speaker 1>there was a period of time where I thought we
<v Speaker 1>were going to get him against Drew McIntyre, and I'd
<v Speaker 1>probably would like to see that match even more. I
<v Speaker 1>think the promos would be great too, But gun Thro
<v Speaker 1>is not a bad opponent for him to have if
<v Speaker 1>this is going to be his one and only match.
<v Speaker 1>So we're just waiting on the official announcement after what
<v Speaker 1>we saw tonight because we know it's coming. Because think
<v Speaker 1>about it, like what else will Guntherer even be doing
<v Speaker 1>on that show? And for the people who say, well,
<v Speaker 1>you know he could be he could be included into
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship match. A no B. Why would they
<v Speaker 1>give him a title match? Why would they reward him
<v Speaker 1>with a championship match? Why would Nick All this reward
<v Speaker 1>him with a championship match after he was physically assaulted
<v Speaker 1>by this man? It makes no sense. So that went
<v Speaker 1>out the window tonight. The only match that makes sense
<v Speaker 1>is the obvious one. And so the SummerSlam card now
<v Speaker 1>is starting to take shape. Roman and Seth Cody and
<v Speaker 1>Punk Charlotte and Jade Gunther and all this trick and
<v Speaker 1>mellow maybe with Corbin thrown in Live Morgan in EO Sky.
<v Speaker 1>How many is that? Because I think they were saying
<v Speaker 1>something about thirteen or fourteen matches this year between Oh
<v Speaker 1>Well Penta. We'll find out on Monday, hopefully Chad Gable
<v Speaker 1>challenging Penta for the Intercontinental title. What else do you
<v Speaker 1>think we're looking You think we're looking at maybe Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>Stratton defending the US title, Maybe maybe Blake Monroe. What
<v Speaker 1>else do you think we're looking at? Any tag team
<v Speaker 1>matches out oh the six man Tag, the blood Line
<v Speaker 1>against La Night, Solo Socoa and Royce Keys. I still
<v Speaker 1>feel like I'm missing something though, Am I missing? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, but that seems to be the Summer Slam
<v Speaker 1>card right now that they have sketched out for this show.
<v Speaker 1>If Petter be Chad Gable against Pentus, as I am
<v Speaker 1>Kendall I said it on Monday after Raw, they have
<v Speaker 1>one job. They have one job. This is only it's
<v Speaker 1>the easiest thing in the world. In that Gauntlet match
<v Speaker 1>on Monday, send Chad Gable to Minneapolis. Simple, Oh, I'm
<v Speaker 1>Brock and Oba. I forgot the Oh yeah, I just
<v Speaker 1>the one match I forgot is the Helen is Cell
<v Speaker 1>match on the show. Sure, how could I forget that?
<v Speaker 1>Gunther and Brock inside Helen is Cell. Yeah. We still
<v Speaker 1>have no update on Rhea Ripley. It's so weird they
<v Speaker 1>don't say anything about her on the show. Now for
<v Speaker 1>the last few weeks. She's the fucking WWE Women's Champion
<v Speaker 1>and we don't even have a clue she's going to
<v Speaker 1>be defending the title at summerslim. We have no idea
<v Speaker 1>could be j C. Jane. I was gonna mention there
<v Speaker 1>was a fatal influence pre tape video promo on the show,
<v Speaker 1>but I mean, you know whatever, they didn't say much
<v Speaker 1>of anything, so I glossed over it. Sue me. Super
<v Speaker 1>Pony says Ko against Sammy. I just have a feeling
<v Speaker 1>i'd love that. I don't think so. I think you're wrong,
<v Speaker 1>but I certainly wouldn't mind that. I feel like the
<v Speaker 1>only hope at this point for Sammy's aying to have
<v Speaker 1>a match on that show is going to be Johnny
<v Speaker 1>Gargano rising from the crate and I'm sorry, but that's
<v Speaker 1>not a Summer Slim match. Joseph says, do you think
<v Speaker 1>Missy Hyatt is underrated in the wrestling community? I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's probably a lot of people that aren't familiar with
<v Speaker 1>her work, and I think she was. Yeah, she was
<v Speaker 1>a good She wasn't just a manager. She did other things,
<v Speaker 1>but she was a good manager there for a while.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if I would say she's underrated, though.
<v Speaker 1>D you see Keana James in ae W in the future?
<v Speaker 1>I mean the future is there's a lot yet to
<v Speaker 1>come in the future. It's impossible to say you're already
<v Speaker 1>putting her in aw No, I think she's going to
<v Speaker 1>be in WWE for some time to come. Happy birthday
<v Speaker 1>to Nick Wayne. So how old is he now? Twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty one? How old is Nick wayn? I see, I
<v Speaker 1>just guessed twenty one. Wouldn't that be something if I
<v Speaker 1>was right? Let's see Nick Wayne is? How old is
<v Speaker 1>Nick Wayne? Nick Wayne is twenty twenty? I was off
<v Speaker 1>by one boy? Did they abandon that whole feud with
<v Speaker 1>Christian didn't they so much for that? And Justph says,
<v Speaker 1>do you know why Nick Wayne and his mom haven't
<v Speaker 1>been on AW television in a while? I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but I've missed Mother Wayne on TV. I think they've
<v Speaker 1>been stuck in Ring of honor. Mind the gaps is
<v Speaker 1>I have shirts older than Nick Wayne. Yeah, it's even crazy.
<v Speaker 1>I've almost been doing the SoundOff for as long as
<v Speaker 1>Nick Wayne has been alive. November will be nineteen years
<v Speaker 1>of doing the SoundOff. Nick Wayne is only one year
<v Speaker 1>older than the SoundOff. So you believe that? Now? That's crazy?
<v Speaker 1>That is crazy. Joseph said, did Raven and Brian Pillman
<v Speaker 1>Junior ever have a match? Brian Pillman Junior? No, I
<v Speaker 1>did not know that. Thank you, Joseph Buyer, Sell, Bruce
<v Speaker 1>Wayne or Peter Parker. Bruce Wayne, of course says, I
<v Speaker 1>am looking forward to your Dark Side of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>review on TNA. I hope so, I hope. So it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be big one. It's a double episode I'm reviewing.
<v Speaker 1>I got a lot to say about TNA and Jay
<v Speaker 1>that'll be on Sunday. One of the many reasons to
<v Speaker 1>look forward to the SoundOff every week that TNA didn't
<v Speaker 1>make the mistakes they did and was very successful. Would
<v Speaker 1>AW still exist? Well, that's one of those one if questions.
<v Speaker 1>Isn't it very possible that AW doesn't exist? If the
<v Speaker 1>stars align and TNA ends up doing a lot better
<v Speaker 1>than they ended up doing, very possible AW doesn't exist.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, we're really creeping up on that bonus bonus goal,
<v Speaker 1>aren't We were three out of five. Misfit says, I
<v Speaker 1>know people like to make dark side of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>episode predictions. I want an episode on the Stardom incident
<v Speaker 1>where then World of Stardom champion Yoshihiko off script on
<v Speaker 1>act Yasukawa beating her to a pupil. Oh no, I
<v Speaker 1>said Yoshihi go. I read that as Yoshihika. No, yosh Yoshiko,
<v Speaker 1>not Yo. That's very I shouldn't laugh. That was a
<v Speaker 1>very serious That was a very serious incident. That was
<v Speaker 1>a very serious incident beating her. She beat her pretty bad,
<v Speaker 1>actually fractured her her face. She did. God, I forgot
<v Speaker 1>about that. I know why, I said Yoshihiko. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>know Yoshihiko had done that to somebody, But I see,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that getting a whole episode out of
<v Speaker 1>that one incident, though that seems like a stretch. I
<v Speaker 1>feel like that that's the sort of episode they might
<v Speaker 1>do at the very tail end, when they really are
<v Speaker 1>just running on fumes and have no other ideas. Joseph says,
<v Speaker 1>what will Deborah McMichael's legacy be and what will she
<v Speaker 1>be remembered for? I think she'll mostly be remembered for,
<v Speaker 1>I mean within wrestling. Me personally, I would remember her
<v Speaker 1>more for being with Jeff Jarrett and WCW. But I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure a lot of people would say her time with
<v Speaker 1>Steve Austin and baking cookies and you know, all the
<v Speaker 1>things that she did when she was part of the
<v Speaker 1>Alliance period on TV. But for me, I just remember
<v Speaker 1>her coming out dressed up as like, you know, the
<v Speaker 1>what state was she from? I was gonna say miss whatever,
<v Speaker 1>but I forgot what she look at the prom queen,
<v Speaker 1>you know, coming out and everything with Jeff. She had
<v Speaker 1>the gloves on and everything, the white gloves actually with
<v Speaker 1>Mango and then Jeff. It was Mango and then Jeff.
<v Speaker 1>Beyond that, she doesn't really have much of a legacy
<v Speaker 1>in wrestling. It's not a knock on her personally, she
<v Speaker 1>just didn't She didn't do anything else. She won the
<v Speaker 1>women's title in WWFF, nobody remembers. It wasn't like she
<v Speaker 1>was an actual wrestler. She had no business being in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. Thank you, Joseph. I hope you have a
<v Speaker 1>great weekend, brother, wherever you may be. Was she from Alabama?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know what state she was
<v Speaker 1>from or where they were living at the time. Death
<v Speaker 1>Scythe says, looking back at WrestleMania twenty five, it should
<v Speaker 1>have been Edge Sina Jeff for the World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 1>because Edge won the WWE title back from Jeff for
<v Speaker 1>the Royal Rumble, Jeff pinned Edge in the WWE title
<v Speaker 1>elimination Chamber and Edgepenn Sena in the World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 1>Elimination Chamber. Actually, I'll do you one better. It should
<v Speaker 1>have been John Cena against hul Cogan like they originally planned,
<v Speaker 1>because that would have been the big match to do.
<v Speaker 1>And you headlined Mania with Hogan seen in the back
<v Speaker 1>of the two Generations and then Undertaker seaw Michaels, and
<v Speaker 1>then you have your title matches and a what a
<v Speaker 1>card that would have been but just from like a
<v Speaker 1>promotional perspective, on the silver anniversary of WrestleMania, it would
<v Speaker 1>have been big to have Hogan in there in a
<v Speaker 1>match with Sina, and that would have been a good
<v Speaker 1>match for him to go out on, but he had
<v Speaker 1>back surgery and it didn't work out that way. He
<v Speaker 1>also says Big Show being in the World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 1>triple Threat was so forced and Matt and Jeff was underwhelming.
<v Speaker 1>Instead of instead have Matt cost Jeff the match and
<v Speaker 1>have Matt and Jeff feud after WrestleMania and seen a
<v Speaker 1>Big Show still feud after Backlash, I would never have
<v Speaker 1>had Jeff in Matt feud. I wouldn't have done that
<v Speaker 1>to begin with. That was that was not the way
<v Speaker 1>to go. Death side with A twenty says Hbka Taker
<v Speaker 1>would have still been the match of the night, but
<v Speaker 1>Edge Sina Jeff would have had a better chance of
<v Speaker 1>following it as the WrestleMania twenty five main events than
<v Speaker 1>Triple h and Orton and we would have been spared
<v Speaker 1>that stupid Edge Vicky Big Show Love Triangle. Well, I
<v Speaker 1>definitely agree with that. I think it would have had
<v Speaker 1>a better chance of not dying after Undertaker Sean than
<v Speaker 1>Triple H and Orton did plus during the match, he says,
<v Speaker 1>when Edge is briefly boy, he's really thought this out here.
<v Speaker 1>When Edge is briefly taken out of the equation, I
<v Speaker 1>think the moment in crowd reaction when Sena Jeff would
<v Speaker 1>have got when they do their stare down and exchange yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean again better than Triple Ah Orton the fuck yeah,
<v Speaker 1>of course that would have been. That would have been
<v Speaker 1>ten times better. Nick got like, look like tornado moving
<v Speaker 1>in with all these super chats, look at this kind
<v Speaker 1>of see Evil Dead burn tonight with my best friend.
<v Speaker 1>I'll let you know how it is. Please do Somebody
<v Speaker 1>else asked me about the Evil Dead movie, I'd have
<v Speaker 1>to see the other ones before I see the new one.
<v Speaker 1>I just never I just never saw any of them solo.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think Sammy should be the one to win
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank. He's definitely a favorite I think
<v Speaker 1>right now for money in the bank, he's a favorite
<v Speaker 1>of mine to win it. He says, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if you saw Seamus's tweets, assuming he's a free he
<v Speaker 1>is a free agent. He is, indeed, and I will
<v Speaker 1>leave it at that Solo. Who wins the aw Women's
<v Speaker 1>World Championship at all in Tecla, Willow or Mercedes. Right now,
<v Speaker 1>I'm leaning towards Willow defending against Mercedes and possibly winning
<v Speaker 1>and retaining the title. Talk to me in a month,
<v Speaker 1>I may feel different. I do think will I was
<v Speaker 1>getting the belt though, and he says, looking forward to
<v Speaker 1>your Dark side of the Ring reviews. I like hearing
<v Speaker 1>that there is a lot of interest in these reviews.
<v Speaker 1>You never know when, like the latest season might be
<v Speaker 1>the last, and I put a lot of time and
<v Speaker 1>effort into them, so hopefully you guys enjoy him. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Oscar says Punk WWE Champion, Omega ae W Champion. It's
<v Speaker 1>the summer of Unks. It is actually the summer of Unks.
<v Speaker 1>Roman's not too far behind them, by the way, Roman,
<v Speaker 1>I would say, Roman is up there in Unk territory.
<v Speaker 1>They got Nemath. There's the TNA champion. How old is Nicknameath?
<v Speaker 1>He's been around for a minute. Nico says, Hey, Solo,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna see Toy Story five tomorrow afternoon. I'll give
<v Speaker 1>my review on the next live stream, please do. It
<v Speaker 1>was one of my favorite movies of the Year. Not
<v Speaker 1>my favorite movie of the year, but one of my
<v Speaker 1>favorite movies of the year. He says. Did you know
<v Speaker 1>that Billy Crystal was Pixar's first choice to voice Buzz Lightyear?
<v Speaker 1>He declined, but later on regretted it to how bet
<v Speaker 1>he did and then he got the voice in Monsters Inc. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's one of those things where you look back on
<v Speaker 1>it and go, man, I shouldn't have said no to that.
<v Speaker 1>Have I seen any other Pixar outside of the Toy
<v Speaker 1>Story movies? Was that movie up? Was that a Pixar movie?
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure I saw that one. No, not too
<v Speaker 1>many other Pixar movies. Though I saw Wally. Was Wally
<v Speaker 1>a Pixar movie? I think it was. I saw Wally
<v Speaker 1>when it came out. Browley says, I know WWE is
<v Speaker 1>not great right now, but watching them after only watching
<v Speaker 1>World Cup for a month feels way more depressing than usual. Lol,
<v Speaker 1>I can't sit through it. You mean to tell me
<v Speaker 1>that SmackDown is not as exciting to you as the
<v Speaker 1>World Cup? Is that what you're telling me? Chicago for MBK, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>that punkin Cody promo was not good. I mean it was.
<v Speaker 1>It was not their best work for sure. There was nothing.
<v Speaker 1>There was no meat to it, because I would hope
<v Speaker 1>they're setting up for that in the next few weeks
<v Speaker 1>they have to, But like, this was not seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>coming out a couple of weeks ago and confronting Roman
<v Speaker 1>and getting into all their history, and they really just
<v Speaker 1>made this as basic as possible, Like, hey, you know
<v Speaker 1>when I told you a few months ago that if
<v Speaker 1>you wanted a title shot, just say the word when,
<v Speaker 1>and Punk was like when, and then they shake hands
<v Speaker 1>and that's it. Not a whole lot to it. Prince
<v Speaker 1>Begeta says Molina against Alicia Fox is the greatest match
<v Speaker 1>of all time, Happy Friday. There is probably some you
<v Speaker 1>know girl out there right now who would agree with you,
<v Speaker 1>because it's probably the only wrestling match they've ever seen,
<v Speaker 1>and so therefore it's the greatest of all time. Super
<v Speaker 1>Pony with the nine ninety nine, they really fucked over
<v Speaker 1>Sammy big time. At least Christian was on TV the
<v Speaker 1>next week after he lost the title and got a
<v Speaker 1>four month long program with Randy Orton. Feel awful for Sammy, Well,
<v Speaker 1>he's taking a mental health break, super Punk and at
<v Speaker 1>least he'll be in the main event of Madison Square Garden.
<v Speaker 1>Where he goes after that match is the question that
<v Speaker 1>I don't know the answer to. I don't know the
<v Speaker 1>answer to that. It just seems to me like with
<v Speaker 1>him out of that scene, I can't I mean, outside
<v Speaker 1>of the Johnny Gargano stuff, what else has he even
<v Speaker 1>been connected to? I mean, nothing else. That's why somebody
<v Speaker 1>wrote him before and said that him and Ko that's
<v Speaker 1>as good a guess as any. Not sure what else
<v Speaker 1>he'd be doing. Someone's saying the chat that The Furious
<v Speaker 1>is out on digital. Yeah, I wanted to see that
<v Speaker 1>in the I wanted to see that in the theaters
<v Speaker 1>and it was just out of the theaters when I
<v Speaker 1>wanted to go see it. I'm going to add that
<v Speaker 1>to my watch list. I wish I could see that
<v Speaker 1>on the big screen, but I'll definitely have to check
<v Speaker 1>that out if it's out on digital. Super Pony says,
<v Speaker 1>welcome back Baron Korb, Welcome back Corbin Corbin. I think
<v Speaker 1>he meant Baron Corbin, Mellow and tricks sounds like a
<v Speaker 1>banger triple threat. I'm down for that. At Summer Slow,
<v Speaker 1>I see what you said. Welcome back Corse, see you
<v Speaker 1>misplaced the comma. It changed the whole meaning of the superchat,
<v Speaker 1>or you're missing one. You missed the comma there. And
<v Speaker 1>you see how important punctuation can be. That's why I
<v Speaker 1>was so fucked up when I was reading your superchat.
<v Speaker 1>Puncture proper punctuation very important. Niko says, can they coexist?
<v Speaker 1>As I roll the eyes in the back of my head,
<v Speaker 1>do you think this would lead to a fatal four
<v Speaker 1>way Summer Slime? No, it will be no fatal four
<v Speaker 1>way misfit wrestling podcast with a ten. Someone actually saw
<v Speaker 1>Nick All just get the crap kicked out of him
<v Speaker 1>by Gunther and said, yeah, it's a four way it's
<v Speaker 1>Are you picking on Nico now? Yeah. You can't watch
<v Speaker 1>the end of that show tonight and still think that
<v Speaker 1>they're doing a four way at Summerslim. The answer is no,
<v Speaker 1>nor should they. I gotta be honest with you, Like
<v Speaker 1>like Gunther with the world title scene and everything, I'm done.
<v Speaker 1>I'm done. Let him do something else. I don't want
<v Speaker 1>him in that match at Summer Slim. Even if he
<v Speaker 1>was available to be in the match, I would not
<v Speaker 1>add him to the match. I would keep it one
<v Speaker 1>on one flamethrower. Fluff's Salisbury would not ever happen. But
<v Speaker 1>I would love to have Pco as Dan Housen's creation
<v Speaker 1>under the sheets. So you saying under the sheets kind
<v Speaker 1>of threw me off there a little bit, uh, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean the gimmick would fit. Holy shit Wrestling says,
<v Speaker 1>Vince is back and you cannot convince me otherwise. What
<v Speaker 1>was it that gave it away to you that you
<v Speaker 1>think Vince's back? Was it the return of Baron Corby?
<v Speaker 1>Was it something else? Craig Humphreys, what's going on? Craig says,
<v Speaker 1>I've never seen Nick all this wrestle. Is he any good? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I mean he's he's a he's a solid wrestler. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean he's good. Former NWA champion, former TNA champion,
<v Speaker 1>although his run at nw A was better than his
<v Speaker 1>magnus stuff in TNA, carried himself well, I thought was
<v Speaker 1>the NWA champion actually has a great a couple of
<v Speaker 1>matches with him, but there's a there's a great match
<v Speaker 1>at all in that he had with Cody Rhodes many
<v Speaker 1>years ago. Not a flashy wrestler, He's not the kind
<v Speaker 1>of wrestler who's going to be out there doing all
<v Speaker 1>kinds of like flips and moves that make your jaw
<v Speaker 1>drop or anything like that. He's a perfectly you know, competent,
<v Speaker 1>you know technical i'd say technical in ring wrestler. We
<v Speaker 1>got Sea guy is here always like Korb, and he
<v Speaker 1>deserves a solid mid run. Well, mid is a good
<v Speaker 1>word to describe much of his last run. Hopefully this
<v Speaker 1>time they'll go a different way with him. Raheem Cody
<v Speaker 1>Solomonster hoping to see the Creed Brothers get a big
<v Speaker 1>push suit. Now that WWE said that they are committed
<v Speaker 1>to rebuilding the tag team division, Who's who? Where did
<v Speaker 1>they say this? I would point me to the statement
<v Speaker 1>where they said this. I don't believe it. I don't
<v Speaker 1>believe they're committed to shit. Actually, shit is the one
<v Speaker 1>thing they've been committed to in the tag team division.
<v Speaker 1>I don't believe them. Venom Kittetsu. Every time you say
<v Speaker 1>one on one, I keep expecting you to follow up
<v Speaker 1>with with the great one. I've been attitude error programmed
<v Speaker 1>by the Rock. I thought you were going to say
<v Speaker 1>one on one with the Undertaker. That's that's ruthless aggression
<v Speaker 1>era though Saint James says, can we expect an l
<v Speaker 1>a night promo at CM punk next? Why would he
<v Speaker 1>cut a promo on CM punk because of what he
<v Speaker 1>said last week? I guess it would be consistent with
<v Speaker 1>some of the other things that he has said about
<v Speaker 1>people getting opportunities that they haven't earned. But no, he's
<v Speaker 1>going to be a little bit busy with Bloodline Drama
<v Speaker 1>and Bloodline Lore. He's still stuck in that vortex. JD
<v Speaker 1>was talking about them rebuilding the tag teams a few
<v Speaker 1>months ago. Well, yeah, he's out to lunch on that.
<v Speaker 1>They're not rebuilding shit, Jeremy. I mean the reports about
<v Speaker 1>them bringing back casen End Zone. All of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>everybody thinks they're rebuilding the tag team division. Now they're
<v Speaker 1>bringing back a tag team act that was over because
<v Speaker 1>they had a lot of catchy catchphrases and they could
<v Speaker 1>sell a lot of merch. That does not equal them
<v Speaker 1>having a desire to rebuild the tag team division. Jeremy says,
<v Speaker 1>this company could have had a fire SmackDown by doing
<v Speaker 1>something big like Cody or Punk Heel Turn, but instead
<v Speaker 1>it was I want a title shot. Well, why would
<v Speaker 1>they do the heel Turn tonight? That would be lame.
<v Speaker 1>I'll just give everything away. If Cody or Punk was
<v Speaker 1>gonna go heal, you do it at SummerSlam. You don't
<v Speaker 1>just throw it out there on a random fucking SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>That would have been terrible. I agree, though, like them,
<v Speaker 1>it was a very basic promo. I mean, there wasn't
<v Speaker 1>much to it, but turning heel. No, you don't do
<v Speaker 1>a heel turn on the show tonight, that would be counterproductive,
<v Speaker 1>Prince Vegeta says, Jacob FAUGHTU gives me cartoon villain of
<v Speaker 1>the weak vibes with this, with his stupid catch phrases
<v Speaker 1>and his shaking thing or whatever the fuck you call it. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it just it makes me sad though, that they've really
<v Speaker 1>cooled him off. I mean, I'm sure at some point
<v Speaker 1>the plan is to heat him back up months from
<v Speaker 1>now and Roman will be back on vacation and maybe
<v Speaker 1>Jacob will take a spot. But I don't like the
<v Speaker 1>way they've cooled him down. I really don't. It's it's
<v Speaker 1>just it's terrible, Jeremy says. So since SummerSlam, Gunther has
<v Speaker 1>beaten down Cole McAfee and all this retired old guys
<v Speaker 1>like Sena aj Goldberg and lost every title match. Great job.
<v Speaker 1>Ww A, he's the career killer, are you not? Are
<v Speaker 1>you not entertained by the career killer? He wasn't even
<v Speaker 1>the one who ended McAfee's career in w W. McAfee
<v Speaker 1>did that himself. He's the one that made that stipulation
<v Speaker 1>for WrestleMania. James Crawford, there's that first one hundred dollars
<v Speaker 1>bomb which I read earlier. James, thank you. He was
<v Speaker 1>not done yet though. There was another one. This was
<v Speaker 1>this was Boots losing his mind here over Kathy Kelly.
<v Speaker 1>James though with that double bomb JFC, thank you, James. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we got a bunch of Oh my god, is that
<v Speaker 1>is that? Oh my god? Look who it is? Look
<v Speaker 1>who just gifted a channel membership in the chat? Do
<v Speaker 1>my eyes deceive me? It is Bulu? Fatulu Bulu? Where
<v Speaker 1>have you been? We haven't heard from Bulu in forever?
<v Speaker 1>Are we starting to fear that he left us? Thank
<v Speaker 1>you for the membership, Actually, scum dog, I think gifted
<v Speaker 1>a whole bunch. I think five channel memberships earlier. Scum dog?
<v Speaker 1>Are you still here? Thank you? Scum dog. Brandon Procter says,
<v Speaker 1>I Love You solo or almost a ninety three thousand
<v Speaker 1>subscribers acknowledge the number one wrestling podcasts as we were
<v Speaker 1>last week. Thank you Brendon. Yes, we are getting ever
<v Speaker 1>ever so close to ninety three thousand subs, only seven
<v Speaker 1>thousand away. Yeah, I do plan on resuming the classic
<v Speaker 1>Sounduff uploads for the Legends Tier channel members right now.
<v Speaker 1>It's the first thirteen or fourteen episodes that I ever
<v Speaker 1>did of the sounduff. They're all up there. You can
<v Speaker 1>listen to them if you're a Legends Tier member, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to pick up with those. And the first
<v Speaker 1>two episodes of SE Scoops Live, which many of you
<v Speaker 1>are like, what's that? I was doing a call in
<v Speaker 1>show with my buddy Noah, the mark for SE Scoops
<v Speaker 1>after Raw on Monday nights starting in two thousand and eight.
<v Speaker 1>First two episodes are also up for Legends Tier members.
<v Speaker 1>We have Venom Catetsu the twenty five dollars super Chat.
<v Speaker 1>There was a new trailer for Godzilla Minus zero yesterday,
<v Speaker 1>shorter than the first one, so not much new stuff
<v Speaker 1>to ponder. Do you have a favorite Godzilla movie Japan
<v Speaker 1>or US? As a New Yorker, how was surviving Godzilla's
<v Speaker 1>attack in ninety eight. I didn't see the ninety eight
<v Speaker 1>one when it first came out. I saw many years later.
<v Speaker 1>If I had a favorite one, man, I really enjoyed
<v Speaker 1>minus one, which is why I want to see minus zero.
<v Speaker 1>I might actually go minus one as my favorite one.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see all of them. There were some that
<v Speaker 1>I miss but of the ones that I've seen, I'm
<v Speaker 1>thinking minus one minus one was really good. And we
<v Speaker 1>just hit the double bonus. The double bonus goal has
<v Speaker 1>been achieved, which means that we have three. We have
<v Speaker 1>three rounds. Do I even have enough left in the cup?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but we've got three rounds. Would be
<v Speaker 1>the booker coming up on tap. Hey, you guys have
<v Speaker 1>just you've unlocked the Beast. Tonight for shits and giggles,
<v Speaker 1>we'll put one more goal up here. We hit four,
<v Speaker 1>we actually match what we did. I get was it
<v Speaker 1>Monday when we did four? I believe it was. I
<v Speaker 1>wish that they gave more flexibility in these in these goals,
<v Speaker 1>like if you wanted to make it three three of
<v Speaker 1>three of this or three of that, it's like one, five, ten, fifteen,
<v Speaker 1>twenty fifth. The weird increment it will do five. What
<v Speaker 1>the hell Jeremy Rose's Summer Slim has gone from fifty
<v Speaker 1>seven thousand to now barely selling twenty thousand. Hello, TKO,
<v Speaker 1>time to panic. Now they got to sell more furry
<v Speaker 1>belts and merch because tickets don't sell. They'll sell, they'll
<v Speaker 1>sell tickets. They're just not going to come close to
<v Speaker 1>what they did last year. And it's a combination of
<v Speaker 1>different things. You can't ignore the John Cena effect. John
<v Speaker 1>Cena was on the card at least for Night Too
<v Speaker 1>last year and it was his final Summer Slam. This
<v Speaker 1>was announced and known in advance. We saw the effect
<v Speaker 1>that Seena had on ticket sales when it came to
<v Speaker 1>the weekly TVs. So that's part of it. But also
<v Speaker 1>they just, you know, business was business was still booming
<v Speaker 1>in a way that it is not. They're off the peak. Eventually,
<v Speaker 1>you have to come down from the peak. And it's
<v Speaker 1>also what happens when you price yourself out. So while
<v Speaker 1>there are still plenty of people who are willing to
<v Speaker 1>enable to spend on the tickets and the furry belts
<v Speaker 1>and all the stuff they're putting out, a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people can't, you know, And so there are people that
<v Speaker 1>might normally go to SummerSlam who are going to be
<v Speaker 1>priced out. That hasn't really changed, you know. The ticket
<v Speaker 1>pricing is still very much an issue, even when they
<v Speaker 1>have these ticket discounts twenty five percent off, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like they did for the America two hundred and fiftieth anniversary,
<v Speaker 1>So you got the twenty five percent discount. For some
<v Speaker 1>of the live events this year, they've tried to discount tickets.
<v Speaker 1>It's not enough, though, and eventually their greed will catch
<v Speaker 1>up to them. But it hasn't yet because they still
<v Speaker 1>have plenty of people who are willing to pay those prices,
<v Speaker 1>and until that changes, they don't really have any incentive
<v Speaker 1>to change. But eventually it'll have to. It'll have to.
<v Speaker 1>What goes up must come down. Venom Catetsu says, I
<v Speaker 1>am the learning Brie. Thanks GenZ, thank you, Venom Caitetsu.
<v Speaker 1>Raheem Cody, I read your message earlier. I don't have
<v Speaker 1>a good answer for you, Dark Effect. When are they
<v Speaker 1>going to give Jacob his manhood back? Let him get
<v Speaker 1>Romans junk out of his mouth? And he puts that
<v Speaker 1>this is family here. You're talking You're talking about an
<v Speaker 1>incestuous relationship. Let him get Romans junk out of his
<v Speaker 1>mouth and he puts down his purse before he talks
<v Speaker 1>any more crap. They've completely made Jacob look like a
<v Speaker 1>limp noodle. Oh nope, nope, let us not forget what
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole said after he lost to Roman Reigns the
<v Speaker 1>last time. Right, what did he say the what was
<v Speaker 1>the exact quote? The werewolf has been neutered, right? I
<v Speaker 1>think I think neutered was the word that he used.
<v Speaker 1>That's what he said on commentary. They neutered him. That's
<v Speaker 1>a shoot. Boomerang says, do we see it? Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 1>return at Summerslim as a babyface to join the fight
<v Speaker 1>against the Bloodline. I don't know if I'm ready for
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre as a babyface. I don't think I like that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know how I feel about that.
<v Speaker 1>The Uffman says, Bonus be the booker. Let's go. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we got three rounds coming our way. We're almost there.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy says, Well, TKO realize their shitty storylines are half
<v Speaker 1>the problem with ticket sales. Got to fire the old
<v Speaker 1>Vince guys like Bruce and ps Hay, I noticed you
<v Speaker 1>didn't mention the Vince's son in law in that you
<v Speaker 1>ignored him. You went right to the Vince guys. Is
<v Speaker 1>he not technically a Vince Guy misbit wrestling podcast? So
<v Speaker 1>like Big Cast is under Dan Housen's cloth, right, I'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you what. And I think JD mentioned this on
<v Speaker 1>TNT the other night when Dan Housen spoke to Matt
<v Speaker 1>Cardona and told him that he had been on the
<v Speaker 1>phone with somebody who was going to be his backup
<v Speaker 1>at Saturday Night's made event. My initial thought was, okay,
<v Speaker 1>well that's that's the Jalen Brunson spot. And then Jalen
<v Speaker 1>Brunton went and had wrist surgery, so he may still
<v Speaker 1>make it appearance, but he's not going to be able
<v Speaker 1>to really play a role. He's not really going to
<v Speaker 1>be able to do anything physical. And you know his
<v Speaker 1>thought was, well maybe because it was in the way
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen said it, something like, oh no, no, like
<v Speaker 1>the person he was on the phone with was real.
<v Speaker 1>He's real, right, Well, Enzo is real. It's his name
<v Speaker 1>on the NDC real one. So it could be a
<v Speaker 1>spot where they're going to reintroduce casin Enzo in New York,
<v Speaker 1>which would make sense, and they're going to reintroduce them
<v Speaker 1>at Madison Square Garden and they're going to be part
<v Speaker 1>of the Dan House and JD McDonald match segment. So
<v Speaker 1>I could absolutely see that. In fact, I think that
<v Speaker 1>sounds pretty likely. But why would that mean Big Cast
<v Speaker 1>is under the sheet? Though? Where's Enzo? Then? Why would
<v Speaker 1>only big Casts be under the sheet and not Enzo?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what they're doing with the sheet. Be
<v Speaker 1>Man the champ, great Boring Corbin is back. Well, well, well,
<v Speaker 1>hold on, now, let's give him a shot. Corbin did
<v Speaker 1>some good stuff there at the end, and then they
<v Speaker 1>just got rid of him. So I'm hopeful that this
<v Speaker 1>is not just gonna of your return to the same old, boring,
<v Speaker 1>boring Corbin bullshit that you know he was doing there
<v Speaker 1>for a while. I'm I'm trying to be optimistic about that.
<v Speaker 1>Orbin does have something he can contribute to the mid
<v Speaker 1>card on that show. Misfit Wrestling Podcast. I blame Naomi
<v Speaker 1>for the trend of shitty custom straps on titles, Well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, she didn't invent it, can't really just blame
<v Speaker 1>her for it. Retro Koh Trick Williams new gimmick is
<v Speaker 1>being a furry. Apparently his belt looks like a strawberry
<v Speaker 1>that has been left out in the sun for a
<v Speaker 1>few days. Trust me, I know, Philip Bowman. Jeff Hardy's
<v Speaker 1>custom TNA belt looks better than the first strap. I'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you what. That purple Jeff hard He belt from
<v Speaker 1>TNA does look better than this. Punch Perfect says you
<v Speaker 1>missed the Fatal Influence vignette solo. No, I didn't. I
<v Speaker 1>intentionally skipped over it. Ragnarok with a five Happy Friday brother,
<v Speaker 1>The boys and I got tickets at the g One
<v Speaker 1>show in Chicago tomorrow, my first g One. Not sure
<v Speaker 1>what to expect, but very excited for it. That is
<v Speaker 1>very cool. What you can expect is some really good wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>I believe is Takeshta going to be on that show.
<v Speaker 1>I think he is. Yeah. They're kicking off the g
<v Speaker 1>One this year in Hoffman Estate's, Illinois, which is where
<v Speaker 1>All Out is this year, just on the outskirts of
<v Speaker 1>Chicago at the Now Arena. That's where the g One
<v Speaker 1>is kicking off this year, and then it should be
<v Speaker 1>off to Japan for Kenoski Takeshta for the next month.
<v Speaker 1>Misfit Wrestling Podcast. WWE should upload the off air promo
<v Speaker 1>from Halloween Havoc ninety six from Piper and Hogan on
<v Speaker 1>the WCW Vault channel as the pay per view feed
<v Speaker 1>cut mid promo. They should, and I'm sure they have
<v Speaker 1>it in the vault and it'll probably pop up one day.
<v Speaker 1>It's just very random when they upload these things. They
<v Speaker 1>just uploaded a dark match from Boston between John Cena
<v Speaker 1>and Cmpunk. I don't know what the year was on
<v Speaker 1>it though. I don't know if it was twenty eleven,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twelve. What about the Fiend Face Belt? Oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>I forgot about that. You mean the Fiend Belt that
<v Speaker 1>they initially sold for six thousand dollars. I gotta tell
<v Speaker 1>you there's a There was a famous phone call that
<v Speaker 1>I got on one of the streams many years ago.
<v Speaker 1>It was on how to Be one of the Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>reviews because thunder Rose at the time was in the
<v Speaker 1>NWA and I think she was the NWA Women's Champion
<v Speaker 1>and she appeared on Dynamite with the belt. I'm pretty
<v Speaker 1>sure it was. Was it thunder Row? I think it
<v Speaker 1>was thunder Rosa. This was Alison k Now I think
<v Speaker 1>it was thunder Rosa anyway, So she had the belt,
<v Speaker 1>and this caller was he was insistent that the belt
<v Speaker 1>was made of plastic. And he had a very extensive
<v Speaker 1>belt collection, replica collection, and he just was convinced that
<v Speaker 1>this belt was plastic. I can't believe they would allow
<v Speaker 1>her on TV with this plastic looking belts. And I
<v Speaker 1>was like, I mean, it might be plastic. I couldn't
<v Speaker 1>really tell, but he was insistent that it was plastic,
<v Speaker 1>and I want to say that in the course of
<v Speaker 1>our conversation, he said that he had bought the Fiend belt.
<v Speaker 1>I think he had the Fiend belt, which at the
<v Speaker 1>time they were selling for six thousand dollars, and I
<v Speaker 1>was just I was blown away by this a that
<v Speaker 1>somebody would spend six thousand dollars for a belt. But
<v Speaker 1>I know there were people like if you get like
<v Speaker 1>an originally handmade belt, yes, there are belts that will
<v Speaker 1>go for that much, obviously, but why that belt. It
<v Speaker 1>was an ugly fucking belt. I wouldn't pay six dollars
<v Speaker 1>for that belt. That's what blew me away, Like, why
<v Speaker 1>would anyone spend six thousand dollars on that, Randy, thank
<v Speaker 1>you for the fifty dollars bomb. Armchair critic ten ten
<v Speaker 1>because he murdered the first nine. A favorite attitude or
<v Speaker 1>rivalry outside of Austin versus McMahon slash Rock, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>would undertaker a mankind count? I mean not really though
<v Speaker 1>probably right because it started in the in the new era,
<v Speaker 1>Rock and Triple H was was a great rivalry and
<v Speaker 1>it was real. I mean there was some real competition
<v Speaker 1>going on between those two Rock and Triple h Is
<v Speaker 1>up there. But if I if not Austin McMahon or
<v Speaker 1>Austin Rock, I have to go Rock and Mankind. Rock
<v Speaker 1>and Mankind would would be my number two. James again
<v Speaker 1>with another one hundred dollars bomb, telling Randall so feel
<v Speaker 1>left out. Randall cutting promos on guys left and right
<v Speaker 1>cuts a better promo than half the people on TV
<v Speaker 1>right now. Venom cantats you, James paid for some of
<v Speaker 1>your new ac hewnon or a fuel pump. I have
<v Speaker 1>a new thing now where I noticed the other day
<v Speaker 1>whenever I hit the the the brake pedal to decelerate,
<v Speaker 1>it makes this very weird noise, like they check the
<v Speaker 1>brake pads and everything ever they say everything looks okay,
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, all right, as long as you say it
<v Speaker 1>looks okay. I put sixteen hundred dollars into Breakwork last year.
<v Speaker 1>There shouldn't be anything wrong with them. Misfit Wrestling podcast
<v Speaker 1>with a fifty dollars super chat. I know some people
<v Speaker 1>like to make dark Side of the Ring episode predictions,
<v Speaker 1>and we read this one already. Yes, the one that
<v Speaker 1>I botched when I said Yoshihiko when it was Yoshiko. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I talked about that also on the sound off when
<v Speaker 1>it happened. I talked about that whole incident. It was terrible.
<v Speaker 1>What an asshole Deputy Dog thinks he's a comedian now
<v Speaker 1>he says solid monster all guess no breaks, son of
<v Speaker 1>a bitch. Brandon Procter talking about the million dollar title.
<v Speaker 1>Whyan kfa did Debiassi make the title? Was it because
<v Speaker 1>he couldn't beat Hogan? No, it was because he didn't
<v Speaker 1>need it. He didn't need the WWE Championship because he
<v Speaker 1>was the million dollar man. He could pay for an
<v Speaker 1>even better title, one that was more expensive, one that
<v Speaker 1>was more glamorous. That was the basic gist of it.
<v Speaker 1>Prince Vegeta. I've watched Sopranos twice and my mom has
<v Speaker 1>even started watching it and is on season two. So
<v Speaker 1>what is JD's excuse? I don't know. I've been telling
<v Speaker 1>him this now for a couple of years. How have
<v Speaker 1>you not watched the Sopranos. It's just it's insane to me.
<v Speaker 1>But he hasn't seen Obsession either. What a weird guy,
<v Speaker 1>fast Eddie says Solo. I'm a big fan of your
<v Speaker 1>Dark Side of the Ring reviews. When are you gonna
<v Speaker 1>review this season this weekend? First episodes didn't air until Tuesday,
<v Speaker 1>so this will be the first sound off coming up
<v Speaker 1>this Sunday since Dark Side returns, So it's a safe
<v Speaker 1>bet I'll be talking about the first two episodes on
<v Speaker 1>Sunday and then every week thereafter. You know, they have
<v Speaker 1>new episodes that drop on WECE every Tuesday. I will
<v Speaker 1>catch up with them during the week, take some notes,
<v Speaker 1>review them on Sunday, and then the clips will hit
<v Speaker 1>the YouTube channel a couple of days later. I want
<v Speaker 1>people to download the sound off stream it listen to
<v Speaker 1>it there, but they they'll hit YouTube as well at
<v Speaker 1>some point, probably on like a week delay and there's
<v Speaker 1>a playlist, by the way, so if you ever want
<v Speaker 1>to go back and listen to any of my previous
<v Speaker 1>dark Side reviews from the previous six seasons, these will
<v Speaker 1>be added to the existing playlist. This is a playlist
<v Speaker 1>section here on the YouTube channel. A bunch of different
<v Speaker 1>playlists my raw reviews, SmackDown reviews, pay per view reviews,
<v Speaker 1>dark Side reviews, countdowns I've done. I have them all
<v Speaker 1>organized there, so I'll make sure these get added to
<v Speaker 1>that playlist. And Alex says brother solo. Did you see
<v Speaker 1>Big Show's return before Dynamite went live? I love the guy,
<v Speaker 1>but it's time to hang up the boots. Oh did
<v Speaker 1>he have a match at Beach Break? I didn't see it.
<v Speaker 1>Did they put it on their YouTube channel? Because how
<v Speaker 1>else would I have seen it? I did not see it.
<v Speaker 1>I thought he was going to bring back this whole
<v Speaker 1>Captain Insano thing. Wasn't he all excited about that? And
<v Speaker 1>Tony Kahm bought the rights to it? Did he come
<v Speaker 1>at as Captain Insano? Tla Mark Bannon? How about a
<v Speaker 1>dark side of the Ring for Hannah Hanna Kamara. It's
<v Speaker 1>still a little fresh. I think it's worthy of one
<v Speaker 1>for sure. I just think it's a little too fresh.
<v Speaker 1>They might not want to do it just yet although
<v Speaker 1>it's been has it been five years? I think it's
<v Speaker 1>been five years now. At some point I would say absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't know that they're in a rush to
<v Speaker 1>really get to that alex Ochoa. Fun fact, Baron Corbin's
<v Speaker 1>end of Day's theme was the last ever WWE entrance
<v Speaker 1>theme composed by Jim Johnston. No wonder it was his
<v Speaker 1>best one. Now it all makes sense, Sylvester Dog, who
<v Speaker 1>just became a channel member, I believe, Thank you, Sylvester Solomoster.
<v Speaker 1>If it wasn't for your content, I would stop watching
<v Speaker 1>wrestling completely because it is so boring. And do you
<v Speaker 1>think think Cody should turn heel? I do? I do.
<v Speaker 1>For a long time there I didn't because time wise
<v Speaker 1>it just didn't make any sense. Like even when the
<v Speaker 1>Rock wanted his soul, the timing wasn't right. But we're
<v Speaker 1>at a point now where they could pull it off
<v Speaker 1>and it would make Cody a lot more interesting frankly
<v Speaker 1>than he is right now. There he is Bulu fatulu ah.
<v Speaker 1>That puts a smile on my face seeing Boolu back.
<v Speaker 1>Now we just got to get Abk back and Fahad.
<v Speaker 1>I hope they're doing well wherever they are. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>heard from those guys in a while. Boulu says Oba
<v Speaker 1>Femi or Jacob Fatu? Who will WWE champ first? Opa
<v Speaker 1>Femi Oba Femi? Die Hard or lethal Weapon? Buy or sell?
<v Speaker 1>Die Hard? Diehard is one of my favorite the original
<v Speaker 1>It's one of my favorite movies of all time, but
<v Speaker 1>so was the third one. Third One is great, So
<v Speaker 1>many quotable lines in that one. It's really a bummer.
<v Speaker 1>You know what's happened to Bruce willis super pony with
<v Speaker 1>a fifty. There's a magenta bomb. What do you think
<v Speaker 1>of the idea of gun the getting suspended and Sammy
<v Speaker 1>needing to find a new partner and it ends up
<v Speaker 1>being Kevin Owens. I don't like it because it would
<v Speaker 1>be ridiculous for Owens to lose his first match back.
<v Speaker 1>No Punjabi prison this time. Oh yeah, so you've you
<v Speaker 1>just kind of stuck that in there. That's a be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker reference. That's what we're talking about, putting Kevin
<v Speaker 1>Owens and Punjabi person. Hey Kevin, I know you've been
<v Speaker 1>gone for a year after serious spinal fusion surgery or
<v Speaker 1>whatever whatever next surgery was. And so in your first
<v Speaker 1>match back, we're gonna put you inside the Punjabi prison
<v Speaker 1>because reasons. Yeah, I don't like that idea either. Sylvester
<v Speaker 1>Dogg Solo Monster heard you're a big horror fan. Have
<v Speaker 1>you seen it? Welcome to Derry. Only nominated for two
<v Speaker 1>Emmys is shameful. Horror still gets disrespected. It's on my
<v Speaker 1>list of things to see. I have not seen it yet.
<v Speaker 1>And yeah, horror does not tend to get a lot
<v Speaker 1>of love at these award shows. I'm hoping that is
<v Speaker 1>going to change with Obsession though, because if nothing else,
<v Speaker 1>I mean really, the entire cast was great, even the
<v Speaker 1>actor Michael who played Bear in the movie. He was
<v Speaker 1>very good. But Indian ever ready, if she doesn't, first
<v Speaker 1>of all, she doesn't get a nomination, then this whole
<v Speaker 1>fucking thing is rigged. Number one, number two. She should win,
<v Speaker 1>but at least be nominated. She would she was incredible
<v Speaker 1>in that movie. Nick Grosso says, if Ria can't get
<v Speaker 1>cleared in time for Summer Slam, then she needs to
<v Speaker 1>vacate the women's championship. And if that's the case, maybe
<v Speaker 1>Jade versus Charlotte for the title at SummerSlam. I guess
<v Speaker 1>that would It would make sense in that Jade was
<v Speaker 1>the last champion, so you can, and I mean Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>is Charlotte, so I mean sure you could. You could
<v Speaker 1>definitely do that. You could definitely do that because realistically,
<v Speaker 1>what are you gonna What are you gonna add to
<v Speaker 1>the show for the women's championship, you know what I mean? Like,
<v Speaker 1>if you wanted to cry on a new champion at
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam, what are you gonna do. You're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>a tournament in two weeks. You're gonna have a small
<v Speaker 1>little battle Royal. You're gonna have a random match between
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss and her one arm and JC Jane, Like,
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't make any sense. They would almost have to
<v Speaker 1>do that. They would almost have to put the belt
<v Speaker 1>up in that Charlotte and Jade match. Super Pony says,
<v Speaker 1>if Kevin Owens is back in time, he should win
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank and successfully cash in on Punk
<v Speaker 1>to start their feud. You can't draw it up any
<v Speaker 1>better than that. To call it revenge for Sammy, I
<v Speaker 1>can get behind that. Jeremy Rose with a ten. How
<v Speaker 1>is Punk or Cody heel turned or hint of one
<v Speaker 1>counter productive. Isn't the job to sell Summer Slim. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it's QB one versus the best in the world, but
<v Speaker 1>we need more than that. Plus it makes SmackDown intriguing
<v Speaker 1>for three fucking weeks. Dude, Like, you got three weeks
<v Speaker 1>to build this match. You're not rushing a heel turn
<v Speaker 1>on a random SmackDown. That's terrible booking. You do it
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam to create interest coming out of the paper view.
<v Speaker 1>You only have three weeks between now and then, so
<v Speaker 1>you don't blow a heel turn on TV between now
<v Speaker 1>and then. Yes, that's to me, that's counterproductive. So you
<v Speaker 1>try to make the next three weeks of SmackDown interesting
<v Speaker 1>with a heel turn when you could really set up
<v Speaker 1>a major moment, and then coming out of Summer Slam,
<v Speaker 1>set up and exciting next three, four or five weeks
<v Speaker 1>whatever it is, until you get to wrestle Paloza and beyond.
<v Speaker 1>I don't need a heal turn in the next three weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I certainly didn't need one tonight. I'm okay with waiting
<v Speaker 1>three weeks for the big match at Summer Slam and
<v Speaker 1>not even giving us a hint about if anyone goes
<v Speaker 1>hel who's it gonna be? Right? Make people wonder maybe
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get a heel turn at SummerSlam. Right, Well,
<v Speaker 1>then who's it gonna be? Is it gonna be Cody?
<v Speaker 1>Is it gonna be Punk? And you create some intrigue
<v Speaker 1>that way. She don't just give that shit away in
<v Speaker 1>a random SmackDown like this. Bulu Batulu says Solomonster. I
<v Speaker 1>work at Low's. My preferred name is Sina. Everybody loves it.
<v Speaker 1>You get a preferred name at Low's. You can call
<v Speaker 1>yourself anything you want. Interesting if I worked at Low's,
<v Speaker 1>I would I would call myself Obafemi. Do I look
<v Speaker 1>like an oba fem? I feel like I can make
<v Speaker 1>a work and retro koh. My pet canine had a
<v Speaker 1>birthday today? Now it is a cat ten? Am I
<v Speaker 1>missing something here? My pet canine had a birthday today.
<v Speaker 1>Now it's a cat ten? Get it? What am I
<v Speaker 1>missing here? I feel like I'm missing the punchline? What
<v Speaker 1>I strut? Of course I would I If I call
<v Speaker 1>myself Obafemi a lows, I would have to do the shrut.
<v Speaker 1>I would be strutting through Lows like if somebody asked
<v Speaker 1>me for help, like they have to pull something off
<v Speaker 1>the shelf on like Aisle seventeen or something, I would
<v Speaker 1>struck my way over. I mean, when you're on the job,
<v Speaker 1>you got to entertain yourself somehow. Cats have nine lives, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but what my pet canine had a birthday today? Now
<v Speaker 1>it's a cat ten. I know cats have nine loves.
<v Speaker 1>I I don't get it went right over my head.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph Brooks, you said recently that brock Lessner is mister
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slim. So does that mean that it is no
<v Speaker 1>longer Brett Hart as mister Summer Slim. Well, Brett Hart
<v Speaker 1>is like co mister Summer Slim. They both have great
<v Speaker 1>success at Summer Slim. You can't go wrong with either one.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm just looking at Brocks had more matches than
<v Speaker 1>Brett at this point at Summerslim, and I have a
<v Speaker 1>feeling there'll be another really great one this year because
<v Speaker 1>their first two or i'd say, pretty exciting stuff. So
<v Speaker 1>I feel comfortable having Brock in that spot. But if
<v Speaker 1>you wanted to say that Brett was, because for me
<v Speaker 1>it was for a long time, I have no issue
<v Speaker 1>with that. I mean, look at the matches that Brett
<v Speaker 1>had a couple of great tag team matches in eighty
<v Speaker 1>nine and ninety classic matches in ninety one and ninety two.
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed the match with Jink in ninety three. Ninety
<v Speaker 1>four is my favorite Summers Slime match of all time.
<v Speaker 1>Ninety five was like, eh, he missed ninety six and
<v Speaker 1>then ninety seven. Frankly, ninety seven was one of the
<v Speaker 1>best main events in Summer Slim history. So he's got
<v Speaker 1>a pretty strong case, you know. But Brock had that
<v Speaker 1>great match with Rock, great match with Kurt. Then the
<v Speaker 1>next one I guess wasn't until twenty they're now twenty twelve, right,
<v Speaker 1>But the squash with Sina, the match with Undertaker, the
<v Speaker 1>four way for the Universal title, that was great. That
<v Speaker 1>was twenty seventeen. That was that was great stuff. Last
<v Speaker 1>Man Standing with Roman, I know I'm missing one, and
<v Speaker 1>then this year with Oba. We can't go wrong. You
<v Speaker 1>really can't go wrong with either one of them. Brett
<v Speaker 1>Hart against Brocklesner for Mister SummerSlam. We may book it
<v Speaker 1>and be the booker tonight. They're both in there could
<v Speaker 1>very well happen. Jeremy says, it's more than just three weeks.
<v Speaker 1>It can set up possibly WrestleMania, a WrestleMania match. Sure,
<v Speaker 1>if you do it as Summer Slim, there's your Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slam moment there. It is because think about it, like
<v Speaker 1>Punk's not losing the belt at Summer Slam. And if
<v Speaker 1>we assume that's the case, let's say Cody win heel
<v Speaker 1>right tonight, boom, he's a heel. He attacks Punk. Okay, great,
<v Speaker 1>So now you go into Summer Slam and he doesn't
<v Speaker 1>win the belt, Punk retains. You've already done the heel turn, Like,
<v Speaker 1>what's the big moment going off the air, what's the
<v Speaker 1>big moment to close off this big Summer Slam show
<v Speaker 1>and be the big hook you know to tune in
<v Speaker 1>for SmackDown that Friday. You've already given the heel turn away.
<v Speaker 1>You gotta save it like they did with Sena. The
<v Speaker 1>elimination chamber would be like doing the Scena heel turn
<v Speaker 1>on a random episode of Raw. Why would you do that?
<v Speaker 1>Why would you do that? I want these ples to
<v Speaker 1>feel premium, and sometimes you got to give us a
<v Speaker 1>premium moment on a premium live event. I'd rather we
<v Speaker 1>get some more like great matches on the TV shows,
<v Speaker 1>we went an entire the entire first hour basically just
<v Speaker 1>one match. The second match I think kicked off like
<v Speaker 1>the very end of the first hour. The one thing
<v Speaker 1>these shows need more of are just fucking kick ass
<v Speaker 1>matches that we can get into. I'm not saying it
<v Speaker 1>has to be filled and flooded with matches the way
<v Speaker 1>that they do on Dynamite sometimes, but God, these shows, man,
<v Speaker 1>you can go a fucking hour with one match and
<v Speaker 1>then a bunch of terrible promos, and I'm like, what
<v Speaker 1>are we doing here? No wonder people are tuning out
<v Speaker 1>of these shows. You gotta give us more than that.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy says, Summerslim ends with a crazy alliance like Drew
<v Speaker 1>joining Cody. So then Cody goes heel by linking up
<v Speaker 1>a Drew at the end of SummerSlam, united by their
<v Speaker 1>hatred for cmpunk. It's an interesting twist. Hey, I'm all
<v Speaker 1>in favor of anything that's gonna shake things up at
<v Speaker 1>this point. Armchair critic I was surprised to know rock
<v Speaker 1>Mankind drew similar often higher ratings than Austin, Vince and
<v Speaker 1>Hogan in ninety eight was a bigger ratings draw than
<v Speaker 1>even Austin Well. He was still Hogan Hollywood Hogan in
<v Speaker 1>the nWo until Goldberg finally took him down on that
<v Speaker 1>one night Troil. Hogan was still a draw super pony.
<v Speaker 1>Dragonov is cooked by the way for the time being. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>if I have to assume it's a visa issue, nothing
<v Speaker 1>else makes sense. They would at least be using him,
<v Speaker 1>and we would be complaining about the booking, but he
<v Speaker 1>would be used. For them to not even use him,
<v Speaker 1>it's got to be a vis issue, and other wrestlers
<v Speaker 1>have had visa issues recently. We just got Mark Davis
<v Speaker 1>back on Dynamite. Apparently Commander is finally over his visa issues.
<v Speaker 1>We'll be seeing him back on TV soon, probably on
<v Speaker 1>Collision and Ring of Honor. But like Dragon of Stephanie Vicaire,
<v Speaker 1>this has got to be a visa issue. There's nothing,
<v Speaker 1>There's no other way to explain it. If they're not injured,
<v Speaker 1>then what else would it be? What else would it be?
<v Speaker 1>I hope they can get it all worked out. And Jeremy,
<v Speaker 1>this product sucks. I just want some new shit. I
<v Speaker 1>do too, and in three weeks that would be a
<v Speaker 1>great way to reinvigorate things. On Smackdom. But I'm not
<v Speaker 1>even convinced they're going to do that. How long could
<v Speaker 1>a visa issue possibly to It's a new world today.
<v Speaker 1>Things aren't exactly functioning the way that they used to
<v Speaker 1>when it comes to the visa process, so it could
<v Speaker 1>take quite some time. It's all backed up right now.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see it getting any better, all right, I
<v Speaker 1>think I'm caught up on your messages. At long last,
<v Speaker 1>we have arrived and what you guys have been waiting for?
<v Speaker 1>Here three rounds of be the booker. Jeremy Rose with
<v Speaker 1>a five. Cody creates a stable of Punk haters Cody, Ko,
<v Speaker 1>Drew and Sammy. I could get behind that. That's kind
<v Speaker 1>of a powerful group, though, Like how how would Punk
<v Speaker 1>fight back against that? Who would punkin list on his side?
<v Speaker 1>You got Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sammy's Ain and Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre all in a group together. I mean, who does Punk?
<v Speaker 1>Who does Punk come at them with? Who's his backup?
<v Speaker 1>I know he's friends with Dan House. Maybe you can
<v Speaker 1>get Dan House and put a curse on them. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's be the booker, ladies or gentlemen, it is now
<v Speaker 1>time to be the Booker. Here we go round number
<v Speaker 1>one of three. Come in your way. We give books
<v Speaker 1>some incredible matches over the past week. Man, we've been
<v Speaker 1>on a roll. I want to see this continue into
<v Speaker 1>Raw on Monday night. We got more matches to book.
<v Speaker 1>Our promotion is starting to boom. Business is starting to
<v Speaker 1>pick up. We're selling more tickets than we were selling
<v Speaker 1>a year ago. Business is up year over year. Here
<v Speaker 1>in the be the Booker Federation. All right, we have
<v Speaker 1>the Holly cousins kicking us off Hardcore and Crash the
<v Speaker 1>super heavyweights. I enjoyed that act, and we stepping into
<v Speaker 1>the ring home like. This is a cursed image right here,
<v Speaker 1>That's what this is. I will give it the bell, though.
<v Speaker 1>I will give this the bell because I do think
<v Speaker 1>that this would be one hell of a match. You
<v Speaker 1>got Bob Holly in there with Crash against Brett Hart
<v Speaker 1>and Bill Goldberg, who were in fact, at one time
<v Speaker 1>WCW Tag Team champions. This is this is Brett and
<v Speaker 1>Goldberg in happier times. Brett is he's seieving right now
<v Speaker 1>as he sees this image. This is the before photo,
<v Speaker 1>not the after photo. Yes, yes, the good old days.
<v Speaker 1>What a cursed image. That is, we have Roxanne Perez.
<v Speaker 1>I'm a Roxanne Perez fan. She is going to be
<v Speaker 1>stepping into the ring with Stephanie Vicaire, except she's not
<v Speaker 1>because Stephanie Vicaire is not clear to wrestle because she
<v Speaker 1>doesn't have her visa paperwork in order, so therefore she
<v Speaker 1>has to be replaced in this match. We must replace her.
<v Speaker 1>She is legally not allowed to wrestle and be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>I tried everything I could, but the government works at
<v Speaker 1>a snail's there's nothing I can do, too much bureaucratic
<v Speaker 1>red tape. So instead, Roxane Perez will have to find
<v Speaker 1>a new opponent and it will be Rhea Ripley. Except
<v Speaker 1>it won't because Rhea Ripley is currently out injured and
<v Speaker 1>therefore can't wrestle. So we have to find another opponent
<v Speaker 1>for Roxane Perez. This is not going well. Please, let's
<v Speaker 1>get an opponent for rox Enne. There we go, Well,
<v Speaker 1>we have Alexa Bliss. That would not be a bad match,
<v Speaker 1>except we're ever going to see it because Alexa Bliss
<v Speaker 1>was taken out tonight by Jade Cargill and her arm
<v Speaker 1>was out of the socket, so she is unable to compete.
<v Speaker 1>This is not going well for Roxanne Perez. Can we
<v Speaker 1>please get her an opponent that is legally able to
<v Speaker 1>wrestle and medically cleared, please, for the love of God. Finally, unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>that's not a match that really appeals to me. But
<v Speaker 1>we did land on Ivy Nile. But I have to
<v Speaker 1>give that a buzzer. I'm sorry. And now, finally, eighty
<v Speaker 1>four years later, we get to the main event. This
<v Speaker 1>is only card number one. By the way, we got
<v Speaker 1>two more of these the book. There we go. We
<v Speaker 1>have the former. This feels like a lifetime ago, doesn't it,
<v Speaker 1>The former WWE champion, Kofi Kingston, who was not even
<v Speaker 1>in ww A anymore. But Kofe Kingston is back in
<v Speaker 1>the main event here defending that WWE Championship against the TNA.
<v Speaker 1>Now that's not the international title, but he is the
<v Speaker 1>reigning I do believe TNA International Champion still Mustafa Ali.
<v Speaker 1>And you know what, that, my friends, is actually a
<v Speaker 1>hell of a wrestling match. I'll accept that we don't
<v Speaker 1>get the sweep, but I accept that as my main event.
<v Speaker 1>There you go, two out of three. We didn't get
<v Speaker 1>the women's match, but we got two out of three
<v Speaker 1>not too shabby. All right, Now we move on to
<v Speaker 1>around number two. We have one more to go after this,
<v Speaker 1>unless somehow we hit that other goal. But I just
<v Speaker 1>I put that up for shits and giggles. But here
<v Speaker 1>we go. Stipulations. We have stipulations for all of our
<v Speaker 1>remaining matches. Hell in a Cell. I gotta get the
<v Speaker 1>voice right for it, hell in a Cell. And after
<v Speaker 1>brock Olesner kicks Obafemi in the balls again, it would
<v Speaker 1>be how it is sound so Oba has been sounding
<v Speaker 1>over the past week. So usually I would start with
<v Speaker 1>a tag team match here, tag team Helen a Cell?
<v Speaker 1>Mash that. What do you think you could do it? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we could do that. We'll do tag team Helen a Cell?
<v Speaker 1>Why not tag team Helena Sel? Why not? I make
<v Speaker 1>the rules. I can book any damn match. I will
<v Speaker 1>please the North Ethan Page and Josh Alexander, the former
<v Speaker 1>Impact Tag Team Champions, a very good team who I
<v Speaker 1>think would have done very well if they ever got
<v Speaker 1>an NXT run back in the day. Helena Sell, the
<v Speaker 1>North taking on Red Dragon, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly.
<v Speaker 1>How's that for a match? The North and Red Dragon.
<v Speaker 1>That'd be a very good match. Where's the lie? There
<v Speaker 1>is no lie. That would be a very good match.
<v Speaker 1>Now we're gonna pay. Uh yeah, we have landed on
<v Speaker 1>Mountain de pitch black match. We're going to glow in
<v Speaker 1>the dark for this one. It is a women's match.
<v Speaker 1>It is a Mountain Dew pitch black match, and it
<v Speaker 1>will feature Becky two belts. Becky Lynch, who doesn't even
<v Speaker 1>have a match at SummerSlam this year. Becky Lynch in
<v Speaker 1>the dark against who, Becky Lynch against Mighty Molly. I'll
<v Speaker 1>take some Molly. That's a fine choice. Not a fan
<v Speaker 1>of the stipulation, but you know what, I'm willing to
<v Speaker 1>overlook it in this case because I feel like I
<v Speaker 1>feel like they would find a way to make it work.
<v Speaker 1>Why was Becky on the Summer Slam poster. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't make the poster. I can't tell you. Plans
<v Speaker 1>change as they say. And now our main event, our
<v Speaker 1>second of three main events in fact, is going to
<v Speaker 1>be a hair match, so we can't land on any
<v Speaker 1>bald men. Otherwise this stipulation doesn't really work, and there
<v Speaker 1>are a lot of bald men in be the bookers.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know about this we're starting out with,
<v Speaker 1>of course, a bald man. Fucking course, I knew it.
<v Speaker 1>I fucking knew it as soon as I landed on
<v Speaker 1>the stipulation. Mhm. So we're gonna pick a different stipulation
<v Speaker 1>because this ain't gonna work. Wipe it clean, try again,
<v Speaker 1>Inferno match. Good, that's better, more dangerous, but that's better.
<v Speaker 1>We'll start over. There we go, Here we go. We
<v Speaker 1>have Booker T. It was definitely not bald. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>he's gonna have to be careful. He's got he's got
<v Speaker 1>longer hair, so he's gonna have to tie it back
<v Speaker 1>or something. I don't want it to get caught in
<v Speaker 1>any of the flames. Booker T in an Inferno match
<v Speaker 1>against the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. There you go. Did
<v Speaker 1>Booker T ever wrestle Cody Rhoads. I don't think so.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that's a match that ever actually happened. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>shout out to Chris near Fall Podcast. Six months of membership,
<v Speaker 1>six months in this fine establishment, my good sir, love
<v Speaker 1>the sound Off, love TNT. Shout out to the SoundOff
<v Speaker 1>crew and the OTS family as well. Yes, thank you, Chris,
<v Speaker 1>super Pony says this fucking Cody guy won't go away.
<v Speaker 1>You can't get rid of him. Set Cody on fire boy.
<v Speaker 1>You guys are just you guys are really extreme. Tonight,
<v Speaker 1>all right, we got one more round. This is it.
<v Speaker 1>It all comes down to the final three. Here we go,
<v Speaker 1>brawl for all. We're skipping the tag team match this time.
<v Speaker 1>These stipulations lend themselves better to singles matches, So I
<v Speaker 1>think we're gonna go. We'll book, we'll book, and we'll
<v Speaker 1>book a few men's matches, but we'll do the men's match.
<v Speaker 1>It's going to be a brawl for all, which was
<v Speaker 1>a terrible concept from the mind of one Vince Russo.
<v Speaker 1>So here we go. Oh this is I feel I
<v Speaker 1>feel badly for whoever the opponent is, because this match
<v Speaker 1>is already over. We have Al Boom Boom Bundy, Al
<v Speaker 1>Bundy in a brawl for all. Man. I know who
<v Speaker 1>I'm picking is a winner. I know who's going all
<v Speaker 1>the way to the end of this thing. Look, he's
<v Speaker 1>already got the fists up in the image. He's ready
<v Speaker 1>for a fight. You want to fight this man? You
<v Speaker 1>really want to step in there against this guy? I
<v Speaker 1>don't think you do. Al fucking Bundy all match. Does
<v Speaker 1>it get any more perfect than that?
<v Speaker 3>Albund Oh my god? Oh he's dead.
<v Speaker 1>Oh he's dead. Oh, oh my god. I have to
<v Speaker 1>compose myself. Adam Cole is going to fight Al Bundy.
<v Speaker 1>Adam Cole is going to die against Al Bundy in
<v Speaker 1>a brawl for all mat. I forgot to hit the
<v Speaker 1>bell on this. I was out of my mind. Ah,
<v Speaker 1>you talk about a mismatch, You talk about a mismatch.
<v Speaker 1>Poor Adam call He's gonna be right back on the
<v Speaker 1>injured list. I love it. I love it. Now tell
<v Speaker 1>me you wouldn't pay money, decent money. I'll pay TKO
<v Speaker 1>ticket prices to be there live to see that match.
<v Speaker 1>Our next match? What is our next match going to be?
<v Speaker 1>Our next match? Why is this not working? Why is
<v Speaker 1>this not working? I think when I leaned over, I
<v Speaker 1>think I think I jammed the button. Oh there we go,
<v Speaker 1>hardcore match. We have a hardcore match. I did actually
<v Speaker 1>lean on the button when I lead nough. Ah. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think anything is going to top what we just booked,
<v Speaker 1>but we're gonna try. How about this one we make?
<v Speaker 1>We make the women's match, the hardcore match. It's to
<v Speaker 1>be different and then we'll go back to the guys.
<v Speaker 1>We have a women's hardcore match. Ooh, we have Zaria.
<v Speaker 1>See that's the face of someone who's gonna be in
<v Speaker 1>a hardcore match. Got that mean look on her face
<v Speaker 1>with the makeup and everything. Zaria. Well, I think this
<v Speaker 1>is back from her Delta days. Zaria though in a
<v Speaker 1>hardcore match against Look at this. This is uh this,
<v Speaker 1>this is Natty knighthearts here. That's who this is, got
<v Speaker 1>the mouth guard and everything. Those are two faces right there,
<v Speaker 1>these images that are perfect for a hardcore match. This
<v Speaker 1>is this is blood Sport Natty. We got blood Sport
<v Speaker 1>Natty and Zaria in a hardcore match. Hey, we're doing
<v Speaker 1>pretty good so far. We got one, We got one
<v Speaker 1>last match to go. I'm kind of sad that we're
<v Speaker 1>at the end here. We need a sweep. We need
<v Speaker 1>a sweep. Oh no, why why? Why? Why you do
<v Speaker 1>like landing on the stipulation? Why are you torturing me?
<v Speaker 1>Punjabi prison is back? You know why? Because I was
<v Speaker 1>just talking about it before. That's why. Because somebody had
<v Speaker 1>to shoot their mouth off and one of the super
<v Speaker 1>chats and I brought it up. I can pun Jabi
<v Speaker 1>prison in the same week, by the way, where the
<v Speaker 1>Great Collie was a guest on Chris Van Vliet's podcast.
<v Speaker 1>It's only appropriate that we have a Punjabi prison match.
<v Speaker 1>You god, it funny if we got Al Bundy against
<v Speaker 1>Adam coleopis oh as if Adam Cole was not in
<v Speaker 1>for it bad enough in bral for all, we'll put
<v Speaker 1>him in the Punjabi prison against Al Bundy. All right,
<v Speaker 1>we have Oh my god, this is not that much
<v Speaker 1>better Ken Shamrock. Ken Shamrock can a Punjabi prison match.
<v Speaker 1>I kind of feel the same way I did about
<v Speaker 1>Al's opponent, where I don't want to be the other person.
<v Speaker 1>Ken Shamrock is going to wrestle Ken Shamrock did Punjabi
<v Speaker 1>prison You heard me correctly, Ken Shamrock against Ken Shamrock.
<v Speaker 1>If that is not the most batshit, intense, crazy Punjabi
<v Speaker 1>prison match that we have ever seen. What happens? Now,
<v Speaker 1>here's my question here. If you remember Ken Shamrock when
<v Speaker 1>he would get in the zone right usually in his matches,
<v Speaker 1>like when he got in the zone, he got all crazy. Now,
<v Speaker 1>what happens when you have Shamrock and Shamrock and they
<v Speaker 1>both get in the zone. What happens then? I feel
<v Speaker 1>like bad things are going to happen. Clean sweet, We
<v Speaker 1>got a clean sweet. That's all that matters. That's all
<v Speaker 1>that matters. He said that AutoZone, Alexandra get in the zone.
<v Speaker 1>Auto Zone. Well this was certainly this was quite the
<v Speaker 1>edition of be the books. Now. Aren't you happy that
<v Speaker 1>we hit the goals and we were able to do that.
<v Speaker 1>You will forever remember where you were on the night
<v Speaker 1>that we landed on Al Bundy and Adam Cole in
<v Speaker 1>a brawl for all match and Ken Shamrock wrestled himself
<v Speaker 1>inside the Punjabi prison. Don't ever forget this night as
<v Speaker 1>long as you live. We still got a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>super chats here to get through. So let's get through,
<v Speaker 1>and we have Bulu Fantulu Bulu. I don't know who
<v Speaker 1>these people are, but I'm going to go with John Booger.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph is back, Joseph saw Bulu. Man. If we can
<v Speaker 1>get Joseph and Bulu in the same place together, how
<v Speaker 1>amazing would that be? Batman Jurassic is his handle. We
<v Speaker 1>know he's a big Batman guy. I'm back, solid monster
<v Speaker 1>with breaking news. The Dark Order has re signed with AW.
<v Speaker 1>Seems like we're getting a lot of breaking news on
<v Speaker 1>AW today. You got a Hangman on Collision tomorrow. Now
<v Speaker 1>the Dark Order have re signed. Do you remember when
<v Speaker 1>Dustin Rhodes was Black Rain in TNA. I do, and
<v Speaker 1>it sucked. It was terrible and he was not in
<v Speaker 1>a good state physically or otherwise. Do you remember the
<v Speaker 1>TV show Blossom? I do. I do. In fact, they
<v Speaker 1>had a crossover with the with the stell Getty's Sophia
<v Speaker 1>Petrillo character from from The Golden Girl? Was it Blostom?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I'm thinking of Empty Nest. I take that back.
<v Speaker 1>I think I was. I think I got my shows
<v Speaker 1>mixed up. I don't remember now, but the Sophia Petrillo
<v Speaker 1>character definitely was on one of those two shows. And
<v Speaker 1>watching Space Jam with Michael Jordan, he's talking about v
<v Speaker 1>Michael Jordan, He's not talking about Michael B. Jordan. Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph retro Koh says Stephanie Viquier can't be in due
<v Speaker 1>to visas, but Crash Holly can be resurrected for a
<v Speaker 1>tag team match. Peak booking. Yes, that's how we do things.
<v Speaker 1>That's how we do things. Joseph says, could you see
<v Speaker 1>them doing a space Jam movie with Hulk Hogan or
<v Speaker 1>Stone Cold Steve Austin back in the day. Well, if
<v Speaker 1>they did, I think that would be a terrible business
<v Speaker 1>decision because it would not have made any money. Have
<v Speaker 1>a good night, Solo Monster, have a great weekend, you too, Joseph.
<v Speaker 1>Space Jam with Hulk Hogan. I don't think that would
<v Speaker 1>have worked. Hey, Chicago for MBK, have yourself a good night, brother,
<v Speaker 1>Oh Joseph. He amended his question from earlier. He said,
<v Speaker 1>I met Raven against Brian Pillman SR. I don't believe
<v Speaker 1>they would have wrestled, unless it was back when Raven
<v Speaker 1>was Scotty Flamingo in WCW. I have no recollection of
<v Speaker 1>them having a match. I can't say it never happened,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't believe so venom ktetsu add Brian Zane
<v Speaker 1>to be the booker. If he greases the palms a
<v Speaker 1>little bit, I might add him in there. And Joseph says,
<v Speaker 1>Hangman returns tomorrow night on Collision. Yes, thank you, Joseph.
<v Speaker 1>I did mention that earlier. Hey, Navy, maybe forty one
<v Speaker 1>eighty one, not two fifty. Count Rugan the hell does
<v Speaker 1>that mean? Thank you Navy. I'm totally out to lunch now.
<v Speaker 1>Claymation is an underrated animation style. I missed that. I
<v Speaker 1>like claymation. The whole sequence with ED two nine in
<v Speaker 1>the original RoboCop movie was I'm pretty sure that was claymation,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm sorry. I still think it holds up pretty
<v Speaker 1>well today. I won't say it's great, but like I
<v Speaker 1>enjoyed it. I like it. It didn't take me out
<v Speaker 1>of the movie or anything like that. Uh, super Pony,
<v Speaker 1>I paid fifty two streams in a row for Putnjapi prison.
<v Speaker 1>I'm cursed. We could blame super Pony. See if you
<v Speaker 1>paid one hundred now, it would have gone the other way.
<v Speaker 1>Cam stl with a five is the Albundi Adam Cole
<v Speaker 1>Brawl for All match, the greatest match and be the
<v Speaker 1>Booker history. It's if it's not, it's it's pretty high
<v Speaker 1>up there. I gotta say, oh, stop motion, what did
<v Speaker 1>I say? I said claim I say claimation. I got
<v Speaker 1>claimation mixed up with stop motion. Stop motion animation is
<v Speaker 1>what I was referring to. Stop motion animation was using
<v Speaker 1>that movie and a lot of other ones as well,
<v Speaker 1>and I like stop stop motion animation, but I like
<v Speaker 1>claymation too. But anyway, so is it the greatest match
<v Speaker 1>and be the booker history? Hard for me to say
<v Speaker 1>it's the greatest, but it's pretty high up there. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that I've laughed harder at one than I
<v Speaker 1>did that one, so it might well be the best one.
<v Speaker 1>And Alexander says, do you have Dan Severn in be
<v Speaker 1>the booker? I do not. I do not. I'm pretty
<v Speaker 1>sure the reason he wrestled in WWF with a T
<v Speaker 1>shirt is because Vince McMahon wanted him to wear a shirt.
<v Speaker 1>So I just realized whenever I remember him wrestling there,
<v Speaker 1>he always had a shirt on. I always just found
<v Speaker 1>that strange. I'm pretty sure Vince told him to put
<v Speaker 1>the shirt on. Should I add him in? What do
<v Speaker 1>you think I don't have? There are some people I
<v Speaker 1>leave out and there are other people. Maybe I forget
<v Speaker 1>certain people. I could always add him in there, but
<v Speaker 1>now Dan dan Severn is not in there, Tank Abbott
<v Speaker 1>is not in there. I'm in there, though, as we
<v Speaker 1>found out the other night, that's all that matters. Thank
<v Speaker 1>you guys for a very fun stream here tonight. Can't
<v Speaker 1>oh this, can't believe we've been two hours and forty
<v Speaker 1>five minutes. My god. See that's how you know you're
<v Speaker 1>having fun when you go almost three hours. SmackDown may
<v Speaker 1>not be three hours anymore, but now I've taken the
<v Speaker 1>mantle of being three hours. But you have to admit
<v Speaker 1>three hours of solo Monster is a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>lot more entertaining than three hours of SmackDown. I think
<v Speaker 1>we can all agree. And one last super chat here
<v Speaker 1>from Power Spying Games by Rent cell be the Booker
<v Speaker 1>matches Bundy versus Cole, Hunter and McCall versus Hall and
<v Speaker 1>Oates Heal Brett agains JD from New York. That was
<v Speaker 1>a pretty good one. That was a pretty good one.
<v Speaker 1>I think I might go with Bundy and Cole. I
<v Speaker 1>think we may have peaked with Bundy and Cole. Let's
<v Speaker 1>try it again on Monday. How about that? Bring the
<v Speaker 1>heat on Monday and we'll do it all over again.
<v Speaker 1>Next time you hear from me, though, will be Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>brand new episode of the Sound of episode nine to
<v Speaker 1>seventy one. And yes, I will be reviewing both episodes
<v Speaker 1>of Dark Side of the Ring from this past Tuesday
<v Speaker 1>and talking all the news of the week. I got
<v Speaker 1>your mail, beg questions all queued up. It's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>a good time. Misfit Wrestling podcast. Zaia Lee trying to
<v Speaker 1>be booked on be the Booker was hilarious. What was
<v Speaker 1>it that she kept popping up or something? We did
<v Speaker 1>land on her the other day? But it wasn't as
<v Speaker 1>Zaia Lee. It was as Lee ying Lee from TNA.
<v Speaker 1>I think that was on Wednesday. I think she popped
<v Speaker 1>up there on Wednesday, Misfit said. I'm talking about the
<v Speaker 1>multiple times that she showed up in that one be
<v Speaker 1>the book Oh okay, I was wondering. Yeah, well, I
<v Speaker 1>mean for a period of time there, it was the
<v Speaker 1>only way she was going to possibly get booked. It's weird, though,
<v Speaker 1>Like I'm pretty sure Britt Baker is in to be
<v Speaker 1>the booker and we don't even land on her here.
<v Speaker 1>She can't even get booked and be the booker. It's terrible,
<v Speaker 1>all right, Be well, stay safe. Check out the dark
<v Speaker 1>Side reviews on the sound Off this weekend, and then
<v Speaker 1>back here for the Raw Post show coming up on Monday,
<v Speaker 1>where apparently Solo Sokoa is going to get an ultimatum
<v Speaker 1>from the bloodline. Ooh, I'm sure he's shaking in his boots.
<v Speaker 1>I'll see you Monday night.
