<v Speaker 1>Jaring you Katy and Josh six one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Well, it sounds like Josh had a wild night at
<v Speaker 2>the gym last night.
<v Speaker 3>Oh dude, I have never experienced this before. So I've
<v Speaker 3>been a member with VASA and I love it.
<v Speaker 2>They're great.
<v Speaker 3>They do like a month to month thing, and I
<v Speaker 3>was actually one of the first members to sign up
<v Speaker 3>at the gym when it started in my area. So
<v Speaker 3>I've had like the flat rate of like ten ninety
<v Speaker 3>nine for years now. Nice, fantastic, Absolutely love it, but
<v Speaker 3>they have, you know, the people that work there, and
<v Speaker 3>they always try to get you to maybe up your
<v Speaker 3>membership or try to do like the VIP gold or whatever.
<v Speaker 3>So I'm doing just the free weights yesterday, and as
<v Speaker 3>that's going on, one of the team members approaches me.
<v Speaker 3>And I'm still thinking about it because I don't think
<v Speaker 3>this dude actually complimented me, but I think they always
<v Speaker 3>have like these words or phrases to try to make
<v Speaker 3>you feel better about yourself. And I'm doing the free
<v Speaker 3>weights and I'm doing thirty pound curls, okay, so it's
<v Speaker 3>not like anything like super super hard or whatever, but
<v Speaker 3>I'm just doing I'm getting from my reps in and
<v Speaker 3>he looks at me and he goes, dude, that's a
<v Speaker 3>lot of wait for your stature.
<v Speaker 4>And I was like, first of all.
<v Speaker 5>Sir's okay, just say the four year stature part was
<v Speaker 5>completely unnecessary.
<v Speaker 3>Completely backhanded. And also it's not like it's my first
<v Speaker 3>time at a gym ever. I'm like, what are you
<v Speaker 3>talking about, sir. And then after that, he was talking
<v Speaker 3>to me and trying and I had my headphones, well
<v Speaker 3>one headphone in. I took one out to talk to him,
<v Speaker 3>but I have a headphone in. I got music going,
<v Speaker 3>and I'm like half listening to this dude give me
<v Speaker 3>a spiel about the Vasa VIP That's what I was
<v Speaker 3>hearing it was.
<v Speaker 5>And he works there and he said that to you.
<v Speaker 4>First of all, yes, this is a team member. He
<v Speaker 4>works there.
<v Speaker 3>And then he's trying to get me to sign up
<v Speaker 3>for He's like, it was the the whole thing was
<v Speaker 3>essentially for five dollars more, we can do this whole thing.
<v Speaker 3>And I was half listening YadA YadA whatever, and I'm
<v Speaker 3>saying no this whole time. But I feel like he's trying,
<v Speaker 3>I called it, trying to get me to like sign
<v Speaker 3>up for the Cult of like working out and all
<v Speaker 3>this stuff, and I don't know if he actually signed me. Like,
<v Speaker 3>he did not take no for an answer, so I
<v Speaker 3>don't know if he actually signed me up. I'm waiting
<v Speaker 3>for an email being like, hey, you've been signed up
<v Speaker 3>for VIP. Here we go, and I'm like, I said
<v Speaker 3>no like fifteen times, like oh, you know, like maybe
<v Speaker 3>I'm not really interested, not really thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Please go away, please go away. Yeah, And he.
<v Speaker 3>Would not take no for an answer, So I'm just
<v Speaker 3>waiting to see that I actually am signed up for
<v Speaker 3>my free three month trial?
<v Speaker 4>Was his foot to get with it? I have no idea.
<v Speaker 3>I wasn't listening, genuinely, I have no idea the extra
<v Speaker 3>anything that I get with it. He just kept using
<v Speaker 3>those phrases like oh, VIP be ippy, and I'm like,
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure that works for some people, but dude, I
<v Speaker 3>just want to I just want to use my thirties,
<v Speaker 3>which you said was good for my stature, so thank
<v Speaker 3>you very much, and I just want to get out
<v Speaker 3>of here.
<v Speaker 5>I think you just get backhead.
<v Speaker 3>I think I think it, yeah, I think in three
<v Speaker 3>I think it's also you get like, uh, the red
<v Speaker 3>light therapy that they have there and the the what
<v Speaker 3>they get's like a little tenth thing.
<v Speaker 2>Have you ever heard of that?
<v Speaker 4>The red light sauna, what they talk about.
<v Speaker 3>There's extra things that you can do there that like
<v Speaker 3>it's like the gold membership or whatever. So I'm just
<v Speaker 3>waiting to see my credit card statement coming on.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, well yeah, I like it. And I know you
<v Speaker 2>can't say no.
<v Speaker 5>So that's it. It's so hard.
<v Speaker 2>I can't say no. That's why why you both ended
<v Speaker 2>up in the locker room making out. Well, yeah, that
<v Speaker 2>was a different store. I can't say no.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>One of the member benefits there was real quick, A
<v Speaker 2>big old shout out to water World, who just came
<v Speaker 2>in at the fifth best water park in all of America.
<v Speaker 2>Who very nice, splish splash, congratulations to water World. Big day. Today.

<v Speaker 2>But that's kind of exciting. It makes it affordable if
<v Speaker 2>you can get in to go see a little hut
<v Speaker 2>hut Omaha action twenty three bucks? Ye bad.
<v Speaker 3>NFL tickets are astronomical now, and it's rightfully so, just
<v Speaker 3>because of you know, the product they put on the field.
<v Speaker 4>But twenty three bucks to go see the Broncos mean, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I like that.
<v Speaker 2>If you can get in, I bet you. Nickknack's going
<v Speaker 2>to be on there today. He's a big he's a
<v Speaker 2>big sports wall fan. So we shall see other big
<v Speaker 2>news with the Broncos today too, right.
<v Speaker 3>Well, yeah, keeping up with that, the Broncos are starting
<v Speaker 3>training camp officially today, which is so exciting. The first
<v Speaker 3>public training camp that you can go watch for free,
<v Speaker 3>by the way, starts July thirty first. However, in football terms,
<v Speaker 3>I'm gonna call an audible here jar because I just
<v Speaker 3>read this headline that came out about four hours ago.
<v Speaker 2>We need to talk about this.
<v Speaker 3>A hiker walks ten miles down Montana's tallest mountain after
<v Speaker 3>accidentally impaling himself on a pole. What all, to avoid
<v Speaker 3>a costly helicopter evacuation, I had to do a little
<v Speaker 3>bit more research. The thirty two year old er nurse
<v Speaker 3>named David Cafaldi was day hiking the tallest mountain in
<v Speaker 3>Montana with his boys. He accidentally slipped on a rock
<v Speaker 3>near the top of the mountain and impaled himself on
<v Speaker 3>his own trekking pole and it went clean through his
<v Speaker 3>lat So we're talking right side lat okay, with about
<v Speaker 3>eight inches sticking out both sides of his body. Now
<v Speaker 3>he is a nurse, so his nurse brain kicks in
<v Speaker 3>immediately he checks himself.
<v Speaker 4>He realizes that nothing vital is hit.
<v Speaker 3>He thinks he can still breathe fine, Yeah, so he says,
<v Speaker 3>you know what, screw that helicopter Bill, I'm gonna just
<v Speaker 3>start hiking down.
<v Speaker 4>He tracks ten miles.
<v Speaker 3>It takes six hours, as friends are spotting him on
<v Speaker 3>the walkie talkie and a camera even via satellite to
<v Speaker 3>make sure that he's okay. His kids even run ahead
<v Speaker 3>to make sure the families and other kids don't see
<v Speaker 3>the gnarly pole sticking.
<v Speaker 2>Out of his body. There. Hold on, no, it gets better,
<v Speaker 2>put that narly pole away. After about falls.
<v Speaker 3>Left, he realizes, hey, I'm actually gonna make this. He
<v Speaker 3>starts making his own kebab jokes on the radio. This
<v Speaker 3>is totally jer He walks himself down, makes it to
<v Speaker 3>the hospital and is able to get back and get
<v Speaker 3>the poll.
<v Speaker 4>Hold on, hold on, look at the picture.
<v Speaker 2>My god, there's more picture that'll get you no superous things.
<v Speaker 5>Jeremy's head off that picture because I envision you walking
<v Speaker 5>down the trail on the bar. This is you're making goodness,
<v Speaker 5>This is serious.
<v Speaker 2>This is incredible feat incredible feet well, congratulations to that
<v Speaker 2>guy in his pool. Done some awesome action right there.
<v Speaker 5>Really, we've got receipts, we've got drummers, we've got Denver talking.
<v Speaker 1>It's the Mile High Hike with JKJ legends and icons
<v Speaker 1>on makes one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Well, there's a list out this morning about Netflix and
<v Speaker 2>the most streamed shows on there. Hey, pop demon, Sorry moms,
<v Speaker 2>what that's been on in your house? About eight million times?
<v Speaker 2>The number one most watch show on Netflix.
<v Speaker 5>They're like, no, don't say it three times there in
<v Speaker 5>the mirror.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, do it, bloody May. It's approaching seven hundred million views,
<v Speaker 2>so it little hit a billion. I bet eventually.
<v Speaker 5>Wow, what is it? Wow? I've seen that movie. I
<v Speaker 5>saw it when it first came out. Part of it,
<v Speaker 5>like when it was like really hyped up and it
<v Speaker 5>was new, and I was like, oh, this is such
<v Speaker 5>a cute little movie for kids. And then it overtook
<v Speaker 5>our whole lives, Like Baked.
<v Speaker 2>I working at a radio station where we played Golden
<v Speaker 2>all every day, all day.
<v Speaker 5>I know, finally it moved into a subpark category to
<v Speaker 5>where we don't hear.
<v Speaker 2>It is just like that movie subpar. It was fine.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know my daughter really got into it. She
<v Speaker 2>dressed up as one of the characters for Halloween and
<v Speaker 2>kids loved it.
<v Speaker 5>I liked for the females, you know, the little girls,
<v Speaker 5>so they were able to look up to those you know.
<v Speaker 5>It was good. It was all little movie for Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>I have twenty four to seven control of your TV
<v Speaker 5>or any you know.
<v Speaker 2>Thing you're streaming on like now. The second one I
<v Speaker 2>can get on board with it was the Super Mario
<v Speaker 2>Brothers movie.
<v Speaker 5>But again not one that you saw twenty four to seven,
<v Speaker 5>and that.
<v Speaker 2>Was like less than half two hundred and seventy one
<v Speaker 2>million views compared to the almost seven hundred on K Pop.
<v Speaker 2>Boss Baby came in third minions and then Leo. I'm
<v Speaker 2>trying to remember which one Leo was, which.
<v Speaker 5>The one about the the basketball player. Right, is this
<v Speaker 5>Steph Curry the Leo one, the goat.
<v Speaker 2>It could be I don't know, goat. They should just
<v Speaker 2>name it the goat. It looks like a lizard.
<v Speaker 5>It's a lizard.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, very similar against Sandler plays Leo. Does the lizard
<v Speaker 2>play basketball?
<v Speaker 5>Oh no, no, no, it's a different movie. But Leo
<v Speaker 5>was the little iguana that Adam Sandler voice, and he
<v Speaker 5>was trying to like teach people like lifeless waiting.
<v Speaker 8>Here's basketball, that's what it's being streams.
<v Speaker 5>Naked cute movie too, that's unworth it. Yeah, I watch
<v Speaker 5>it with the kiddos. I like it.
<v Speaker 2>That's random children watching movies with Adam Sandler movie. Was
<v Speaker 2>it really your twenty year old daughter?
<v Speaker 5>No, it was me watching it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's concerning.
<v Speaker 5>What do you mean it's Adam Sandler?
<v Speaker 2>What children's movie? Should I watch the game? Okay? So
<v Speaker 2>this is un settling. This has been streamed a lot.
<v Speaker 2>There's a six part series on Instagram right now, so
<v Speaker 2>with six different videos showing a woman on a Carnival
<v Speaker 2>cruise scratching her foot fungus with a fork.
<v Speaker 5>I've seen it.
<v Speaker 2>It was filmed secretly by several other guests that were
<v Speaker 2>incredibly grossed out. It has attracted almost thirty million views,
<v Speaker 2>so it's getting up there. Put it on Netflix and
<v Speaker 2>it did force a response from Carnival saying that we
<v Speaker 2>can confirmed that the forks are intended for food, not
<v Speaker 2>foot care. Once we became aware of the situation, our
<v Speaker 2>team quickly addressed it with the guests and removed the
<v Speaker 2>utensils from service. How did they know they got the
<v Speaker 2>right force.
<v Speaker 5>Like we took it out of rotation, it's no longer
<v Speaker 5>in that.
<v Speaker 2>I think they would throw all the forks overboard in
<v Speaker 2>the middle of the Pacific and then buying new force.
<v Speaker 5>You would have to.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, how do you know anyway, she was going
<v Speaker 2>to town with that fork. Videos stuff has fallen off
<v Speaker 2>her feet.
<v Speaker 5>The dryness from that foot is make your stomach lurk.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, if she's gonna do it, I want her to
<v Speaker 2>hold it over my salad like a little parmesan cheese
<v Speaker 2>and shred it over my salad.
<v Speaker 5>And she's gonna do it, more salt, Please.
<v Speaker 2>Make it worth my while, you know, put a little
<v Speaker 2>protein in my salad. Did you imagine? Out? And I
<v Speaker 2>got one final thing. It is local Golden officials and
<v Speaker 2>volunteers are dealing with a growing amount of trash along
<v Speaker 2>Clear Creek as visitors are crowding the water right now
<v Speaker 2>just to escape the summer heat. There's all sorts of
<v Speaker 2>stuff littering, including tubes full tubes, cans, food packaging, clothing,
<v Speaker 2>and other debris being abandoned along the banks and then
<v Speaker 2>carried downstream.
<v Speaker 5>I hate that.
<v Speaker 2>Uh So the public is outraged down there in golden
<v Speaker 2>and I'm a little irritated by this as well. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>the cleanup is not free. I mean they're gonna have
<v Speaker 2>to hire people to get this all clean up, and
<v Speaker 2>then it goes into nature.
<v Speaker 5>I hate it.
<v Speaker 2>Like you don't want a little beaver with an inner
<v Speaker 2>tube around him.
<v Speaker 5>That is I mean that sounds but like that is
<v Speaker 5>one of the biggest rules of hiking. You pack out
<v Speaker 5>what you packed in, pack it in, pack it out
<v Speaker 5>anything where you're going. And the fact that people are
<v Speaker 5>just so casually leaving water bottles and like clothes, like.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, probably do just bailing out on probably tubes that
<v Speaker 2>are ripped up or something.
<v Speaker 5>Do that.
<v Speaker 2>That ain't right.
<v Speaker 5>We don't like that.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, we can be parents all day and waggle
<v Speaker 2>our finger they're still gonna do it. But come on, well,
<v Speaker 2>let's get cry.
<v Speaker 5>We don't like that. We don't like that people are
<v Speaker 5>doing that.
<v Speaker 2>We need to have a designated people along the creek
<v Speaker 2>there with tasers that tasos people.
<v Speaker 5>Do you want to volunteer for that kind that's a
<v Speaker 5>Jeremy job.
<v Speaker 2>I kind of do.
<v Speaker 5>I like that. I do like that a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, let's tas those sobs. Okay, what else is going
<v Speaker 2>on locally.
<v Speaker 5>Hey, we've got some fun stories for you, like the
<v Speaker 5>first ever Fat Marmot Week. Whoa sound fun. So it's
<v Speaker 5>a bracket and everything. It's very similar to the Fat
<v Speaker 5>Bear Week at that National Park and preserve that they
<v Speaker 5>do that at you know where you vote for your
<v Speaker 5>favorite fat bear and it's like a bracket and they
<v Speaker 5>advance to the next round of the bracket based on
<v Speaker 5>the public's votes and everything. That's what they're gonna do
<v Speaker 5>with the first ever Fat Marmot Week. It's happening in
<v Speaker 5>August twenty fourth through the twenty ninth, and it's the
<v Speaker 5>scientists in a gothic Colorado that's where this is taking place,
<v Speaker 5>if you're familiar. But they're inviting the public to vote
<v Speaker 5>for their favorite.
<v Speaker 2>Marmot to the marmot's dress and dials.
<v Speaker 5>I don't think so.
<v Speaker 2>Mascara on, no, no, Marilyn Manson T shirts on why gothic?
<v Speaker 5>Oh, now I get it, get it now, I get
<v Speaker 5>the gothic marmot. He tells you all about his feelings.
<v Speaker 5>Night will be the night that I will fall for you.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Like that's what the marmots walk around like. Don't
<v Speaker 2>talk to me.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah exactly, and then it grows out of it because
<v Speaker 5>it was just a fake. It was totally just a
<v Speaker 5>fake collar on you know, Yeah, I want to vote
<v Speaker 5>for that marmot.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah collar Okay.
<v Speaker 5>August twenty fourth is when we can start. I can't wait,
<v Speaker 5>Like first ever fat marmots, which fun for you, joked okay.
<v Speaker 5>And then so the water levels right out at Green
<v Speaker 5>Mountain Reservoir they ever revealed. Now as you everyone knows,
<v Speaker 5>we are in a crazy drought here in the state
<v Speaker 5>of Colorado and it's starting to reveal things underneath the waters.
<v Speaker 5>I was like, oh, that's where that went. So an
<v Speaker 5>ATV that has been missing for five years, they found it.
<v Speaker 5>Found they found it at the Green Mountain Reservoir. Again,
<v Speaker 5>it is at twenty three percent capacity due to the
<v Speaker 5>current drought. So the lost ATV just kind of revealed
<v Speaker 5>itself there. The people who are in charge of the park,
<v Speaker 5>they got a hold of the owner and everything, and
<v Speaker 5>they're like, okay, so we found this. There's also a
<v Speaker 5>lot of other things that they're expecting to find out
<v Speaker 5>at this reservoir.
<v Speaker 2>Just no body I know.
<v Speaker 5>Well, that's the thing is a lot of history has
<v Speaker 5>passed a lot of things have happened, and it's totally
<v Speaker 5>plausible that they would find something.
<v Speaker 2>Funt bones.
<v Speaker 5>I worked with somebody out in on the Western Slope
<v Speaker 5>and her I don't know if she ever had to
<v Speaker 5>hide a body, but she was very excited to tell
<v Speaker 5>me the story about how if she would hide a body,
<v Speaker 5>she'd do it in the Ridgeway Reservoir because every year
<v Speaker 5>it would get to like crazy low levels and then
<v Speaker 5>when the snow would melt and fill it, it would
<v Speaker 5>fill back up. And so she's like, by the time
<v Speaker 5>I'm like the water levels would uh, you know, succeed.
<v Speaker 5>Like she said, I could be out of town across
<v Speaker 5>the country like Receid. I could be out of town
<v Speaker 5>across the country, like in a whole nother world.
<v Speaker 2>And I was like, yeah, because you get out there.
<v Speaker 2>I took a hole bury it.
<v Speaker 5>She was so proud to tell me about her body
<v Speaker 5>hiding skills. So when this story started popping up, I
<v Speaker 5>was like, same thing. I thought, I wonder if they're
<v Speaker 5>going to find any bodies or just like I should
<v Speaker 5>not laugh that only goodness. But yeah, ATV they found
<v Speaker 5>it no problem five years later, and then we do
<v Speaker 5>I doubt it man if it did, that would be
<v Speaker 5>one heck of a commercial for that ATV company. Five
<v Speaker 5>years and two leagues later, still pump it okay. And
<v Speaker 5>then we have an update on the tatar story.
<v Speaker 1>Though.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, this is what I've been waiting for.
<v Speaker 5>Remember we talked about how a nonprofit found out that
<v Speaker 5>forty two thousand pounds of potatoes were about to be wasted.
<v Speaker 5>And these were potatoes that were grown over the Midwest.
<v Speaker 5>If you're not familiar potato farmers, that's been a weird
<v Speaker 5>year for them because they had like a very high
<v Speaker 5>yield and they can't get rid of all their potatoes.
<v Speaker 5>So these forty two thousand pounds of taters were just
<v Speaker 5>going to be thrown away. And this nonprofit was like, well,
<v Speaker 5>we can't have that, can't have that with those potatoes.
<v Speaker 5>So they brought them here to the Mile High City
<v Speaker 5>yesterday and they had this big thing out in five
<v Speaker 5>Points where they're like, we've got two tons of taters.
<v Speaker 5>You bring bags and trucks and whatever else you need,
<v Speaker 5>and you come get as many potatoes as you need.
<v Speaker 5>And they were having this event from like ten until
<v Speaker 5>twelve thirty one, whenever the potatoes, you know, were all done,
<v Speaker 5>and they thought that they'd have some left over and
<v Speaker 5>they'd have to figure out where to take that. These
<v Speaker 5>potatoes went in ninety minutes. The community showed up and
<v Speaker 5>they were able to save these taters that we're going
<v Speaker 5>to be destroyed.
<v Speaker 2>By God. Every tater needs a home.
<v Speaker 5>It's such an amazing story. And you talk to the
<v Speaker 5>people who went there to get those potatoes. It's not
<v Speaker 5>just people who don't have food, people who were in
<v Speaker 5>the citguyuation where they don't have food. It's you and me.
<v Speaker 5>It's just the regular Everything is so expensive right now,
<v Speaker 5>so if this is one way that you can save money,
<v Speaker 5>that was people's line of thinking yesterday. And beef Man,
<v Speaker 5>I heard people die, I know, or maybe some veggies
<v Speaker 5>in there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I had a full balanced.
<v Speaker 5>Plate, but no, like people were talking about all the
<v Speaker 5>different potato dishes they were gonna make, and I just
<v Speaker 5>was like, what an exciting day. People want potato curry.
<v Speaker 5>So anyway, there you go. There's my high hype.
<v Speaker 1>Jerry Katy and Josh one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I do want to let you know that today is
<v Speaker 2>National Milk Chocolate Day, not to be confused with National
<v Speaker 2>Chocolate Milk Day, which is on September twenty seventh. But
<v Speaker 2>it's National Milk Chocolate Day today.
<v Speaker 5>You like milk chocolate? I do. Also, I'm starting to
<v Speaker 5>get uh, I like dark chocolate. No, dark chocolate's tending
<v Speaker 5>to be my favorite lately, and I always grew up
<v Speaker 5>loving milk chocolate. Go for the josh.
<v Speaker 4>There's a turning point and everybody's lives.
<v Speaker 5>You watch birds and you like dark dark chocolate. Well,
<v Speaker 5>the flavors just like well yea, and especially like because
<v Speaker 5>the mouth chocolate is so much sugar, a lot of sugar.
<v Speaker 5>But when you try and stay away from sugar, when
<v Speaker 5>you have sugar, it's a turning point.
<v Speaker 2>Well, it's just you. You grow up and you mature.
<v Speaker 2>You mature into a higher quality than running around with
<v Speaker 2>your Cadbury Easter Bunny. You know, you're like, I'll take
<v Speaker 2>the dark chocolate. Well I can see that.
<v Speaker 5>You just like chocolate in general.
<v Speaker 2>What you had never mind, those eggs are so okay.
<v Speaker 2>So there's a new studio too, finding that men. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>if you're out there doing your getting your lift on today, bro,
<v Speaker 2>there you can lift heavier and longer if you are
<v Speaker 2>sniffing dark chocolate in between your sets. It will give
<v Speaker 2>you a boost. Guys who sniffed dark chocolate in between
<v Speaker 2>their reps completed about eighteen more reps than they did
<v Speaker 2>when just smelling like plain water. Yeah, so they were
<v Speaker 2>able to get ooh, they're bul gone by smelling chocolate,
<v Speaker 2>which is weird to me that you'd be standing in
<v Speaker 2>the gym trying to work out and you got a
<v Speaker 2>chocolate bar next to you and you're huffing it in
<v Speaker 2>between sets.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, it's totally weird, Like, that's not the way I
<v Speaker 5>thought you were gonna go with that story.
<v Speaker 2>And then they're smelling it and the chocolate's like getting
<v Speaker 2>all melty on your fingers. Yeah, and then you got
<v Speaker 2>brown all over your fingers and you're grabbing the freeway.
<v Speaker 2>It's getting over the freeways.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, and then you drop them because all the chocolate
<v Speaker 5>on your head.
<v Speaker 2>You probably got a white towel, and then your brown
<v Speaker 2>fingers are all over the white towel.
<v Speaker 7>And people are looking at you like this guy might
<v Speaker 7>have a problem.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, how are you gonna pick up any chicks home?
<v Speaker 2>I swear it's chocolate. I promise you it's just chocolate.
<v Speaker 5>But I'm doing more reps than ever.
<v Speaker 2>Everything is so brown. But I you, it's just chocolate.
<v Speaker 2>You're like, I swear to you, I haven't been eating lettuce.
<v Speaker 2>I promise. Let's rave about our children really quick. I
<v Speaker 2>do have a quick story about my son who went
<v Speaker 2>out with a buddy last night. They disappeared on their bikes.
<v Speaker 2>I don't even know where they were. But about an
<v Speaker 2>hour later, I got a FaceTime thing pop up on
<v Speaker 2>my phone, you know, a call FaceTime call. I was like, hey,
<v Speaker 2>where are you and he's like, well, we're down at
<v Speaker 2>so and So's house. Little we'll call him Eddie. We're
<v Speaker 2>at Eddie's house. And Eddie is known for collecting things
<v Speaker 2>around the neighborhood. He'll get into dumpsters and grab stuff out.
<v Speaker 2>He'll come to my house and if I've got stuff
<v Speaker 2>out by the trash, he takes it back home. So
<v Speaker 2>Eddie noticed that his neighbor down the street had about
<v Speaker 2>fifteen air mattresses out on the curb that said free.
<v Speaker 2>So there was like, I know, Rightie was a camp
<v Speaker 2>they used to campus stuff. So there was at that
<v Speaker 2>point like five boys or something at the house. So
<v Speaker 2>they all went and took the free air mattresses, blew
<v Speaker 2>them up, and then poor Eddie's family had about fifteen
<v Speaker 2>air mattresses laying all around their front lawn. And then
<v Speaker 2>they found another house with like a coffee table that
<v Speaker 2>was free. So they took the coffee table and took
<v Speaker 2>the legs off of it, and so they just had
<v Speaker 2>the flat top there of the coffee table, which they
<v Speaker 2>proceeded to put on like three skateboards, and then they
<v Speaker 2>took one of the giant air mattresses and bungied that
<v Speaker 2>onder the skateboards and the coffee table, and they were
<v Speaker 2>pushing each other around the neighborhood on it. Okay, that's brilliant.
<v Speaker 2>He's like, Dad, check this out. Look what we're doing.
<v Speaker 2>That's just that a guy like it was like a
<v Speaker 2>king size air mattress and they're just getting there pushing
<v Speaker 2>it down the street.
<v Speaker 5>And I was so happy about they're playing outside.
<v Speaker 2>I got off the phone and I looked at Nicole.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, this is what life is a supposed
<v Speaker 2>to be like as a airboy. I am so happy
<v Speaker 2>about this right now that they're out jacking around, causing trouble,
<v Speaker 2>picking up free things and pushing each other around on
<v Speaker 2>skateboards and air mattresses.
<v Speaker 5>Right now, it's funny. The things that make us proud
<v Speaker 5>as parents, isn't it.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, this is old school, like nineties fun here.
<v Speaker 5>There's not a tablet in sight, and you know, motivity
<v Speaker 5>just everywhere else. It makes me proud too. It's not
<v Speaker 5>even my kid. It was so crazy.
<v Speaker 2>And then they like built forts and stuff with the
<v Speaker 2>other air mattresses and they were throwing each other and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, this is awesome them. I just feel
<v Speaker 2>bad for Eddie's parents. I've seen pictures of their garage
<v Speaker 2>and there's it's just it's just trash and junk that
<v Speaker 2>this kid collects.
<v Speaker 5>And they're probably thinking the same thing though. You know what,
<v Speaker 5>Eddie's outside a lot. Eddie used his imagination. He may
<v Speaker 5>be a horder as he gets older, but it's fine.
<v Speaker 2>There was one night I wandered out into the garage
<v Speaker 2>because the camera went off in the garage and him
<v Speaker 2>and Eddie were out there and the tailgate was down
<v Speaker 2>on my truck, and I was like, what are they
<v Speaker 2>doing to my truck? Oh? And I went out there
<v Speaker 2>and they had found like a bunch of old clocks
<v Speaker 2>and various electronics and stuff out of dumpsters and they
<v Speaker 2>were taking them apart to see how they worked on
<v Speaker 2>the inside and trying to rebuild them and do other things.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, okay, that's just don't burn the house down.
<v Speaker 2>That's so early two thousands.
<v Speaker 7>Fun it is.
<v Speaker 2>I love that really good thanking everybody.
<v Speaker 5>Proud and it's fun so funny. My kidd was also
<v Speaker 5>making me proud in a different way. But so her
<v Speaker 5>birthday's coming up on Monday, right, yeah, and she's in
<v Speaker 5>her you know, young twenties. So at that point, you
<v Speaker 5>go out and you party, right, that's what you do
<v Speaker 5>at their stage. But this new generation they're not really
<v Speaker 5>doing that. They're not partying like we did. They're not
<v Speaker 5>going out and wilding out with their friends.
<v Speaker 2>I just saw a stat about the alcohol industry is
<v Speaker 2>down like eight hundred billion dollars because kids aren't drinking
<v Speaker 2>and having fun anymore.
<v Speaker 5>They're not making those dumb decisions that we made in
<v Speaker 5>our young twenties. And in fact, this blew my mind.
<v Speaker 5>You know what kind of parties always wants to have
<v Speaker 5>for this next one in her young twenties?
<v Speaker 2>What is it?
<v Speaker 5>A crochet party? Oh lord?
<v Speaker 2>No, oh no, she's.
<v Speaker 4>Gone too far.
<v Speaker 5>Not even just like crochet, but like crafts in general,
<v Speaker 5>and apparently this is a thing. You can go to
<v Speaker 5>a place and all of your friends can come and
<v Speaker 5>get like a thing a yarn, and they have crocheting
<v Speaker 5>classes and so they'll teach you how to crochet, and
<v Speaker 5>then they'll give you something that you can make and
<v Speaker 5>within this hour and you have drinks and nibblies and stuff.
<v Speaker 5>Right like, you've got stuff you want.
<v Speaker 2>To get tanged. I want to see people get wasted and.
<v Speaker 5>They come up with, oh my god, like a lopsided turtle.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, ang crochet.
<v Speaker 5>That's an idea, so hot.
<v Speaker 2>Idea.
<v Speaker 5>But there are places around us that do this already.
<v Speaker 5>So I was looking up and Colorful Yarns is a
<v Speaker 5>spot where you can host regular crochet. Are you getting
<v Speaker 5>paid passes the Denver Craft Michaels. You can have a party, Michaels.
<v Speaker 5>Nobody's paying me, but you can have up to eight
<v Speaker 5>guests that Michael's and pay one hundred and fifty dollars
<v Speaker 5>and they will supply all the young.
<v Speaker 2>Things. Do they bring there? Do you have to bring
<v Speaker 2>your own? Ni? What do you get?
<v Speaker 5>You get the yarn and the crochet and then the
<v Speaker 5>knitting class, like they're.
<v Speaker 2>Teaching you how to do this teaches it.
<v Speaker 5>They're teaching a class. I just thought this was genius
<v Speaker 5>because the thing is is, you know baby, no, no,
<v Speaker 5>she was having a little anxiety about like parties and
<v Speaker 5>stuff because it's not really her thing, Like she doesn't
<v Speaker 5>like to go out and get tanked and just like
<v Speaker 5>yeah people.
<v Speaker 4>People, she just like, well she's got a serious boyfriend.
<v Speaker 3>There's when you have that, you don't feel the need
<v Speaker 3>to go crazy.
<v Speaker 5>Whatever tearing it up.
<v Speaker 2>We weren't worried about, yeah, exactly, but I love that again.
<v Speaker 5>It's just another one of those things that makes me
<v Speaker 5>proud as a current, right, Like you want to go
<v Speaker 5>out and create something versus going out and tearing things down.
<v Speaker 5>Well you're all liquored up, like there's a you.
<v Speaker 2>Need some air mattresses and skateboards creating something. They still
<v Speaker 2>have like so as anybody party.
<v Speaker 5>All of her friends are about that into it.
<v Speaker 2>I feel sorry for her.
<v Speaker 5>Even her guy friends are like this sounds like fun,
<v Speaker 5>like okay, like that you know they really love her
<v Speaker 5>and they're there to support her.
<v Speaker 2>And maybe that's yeah, but all those guys are like
<v Speaker 2>talking to their buddies. Dude, you're not gonna believe. But
<v Speaker 2>I get to go jellous, but.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, truly, it's mostly girls. I'm just you can
<v Speaker 5>absolutely come. You haven't got the invite this weekend, our
<v Speaker 5>next weekend.
<v Speaker 2>Is there a pattern? Big middle finger?
<v Speaker 5>You know what? If there is, I'm sure you'll find
<v Speaker 5>a Jeremy.
<v Speaker 2>Well bless her little anxiety riddle heart sounds like a
<v Speaker 2>good time.
<v Speaker 5>I love it.
<v Speaker 2>I got a couple stories this morning, all about our
<v Speaker 2>incredible seniors. How about this. There's a seventy one year
<v Speaker 2>old grandma and she had to jump into a river
<v Speaker 2>to rescue a man half her age, despite only learning
<v Speaker 2>to swim after she retired, so she had not really
<v Speaker 2>learned to swim in her youth. She waited until way
<v Speaker 2>later in life to learn how to swim. And she
<v Speaker 2>was standing by this river and she heard this guy
<v Speaker 2>screaming for help, and without hesitation, she entered the river
<v Speaker 2>using a life preserver to reach the man who resisted help. Actually,
<v Speaker 2>which is kind of weird. I don't know if he
<v Speaker 2>was like, no, I'm not I don't you know, I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to harm you, or I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>bring you under because you're a little old lady. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>she ended up overpowering the guy and pulled him to shore.
<v Speaker 2>She admitted she was exhausted, and her quote was, it
<v Speaker 2>was not a big deal for me. I did not
<v Speaker 2>tell my family for the that they would worry about me.
<v Speaker 2>But there is some surveillance footage and she was identified
<v Speaker 2>and then her brother recognized her, and then he scolded her.
<v Speaker 2>She said. Video went viral of this little old lady
<v Speaker 2>wading into the water to save a man who was
<v Speaker 2>getting pulled downstream.
<v Speaker 5>Oh. I love that she didn't frag about it either.
<v Speaker 5>So many people just like immediately post their good doings
<v Speaker 5>and she's like, no, it's fine, I say.
<v Speaker 2>She immediately died sadly passed away.
<v Speaker 5>To stop it.
<v Speaker 6>I went in that water and I got him and
<v Speaker 6>he was how A powered him, bunched and took him
<v Speaker 6>back to the show. I said, sure, you need to
<v Speaker 6>learn how to swim.
<v Speaker 7>I can't be doing this. I'm shaving you.
<v Speaker 2>On years old.
<v Speaker 5>You should say thank you.
<v Speaker 7>I can't get in the water like this all the time. Show.
<v Speaker 7>You just need to be more responsible. And then I died.
<v Speaker 2>Stop and then how about this? I love the name.
<v Speaker 2>Kermit and Betty of Saint Cloud, Minnesota recently marked their
<v Speaker 2>eightieth wedding anniversary, surrounded by family at their daughter's home.
<v Speaker 2>They are both ninety nine years old. They share two children,
<v Speaker 2>five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
<v Speaker 2>Relationship began as teenagers living across the street from each other.
<v Speaker 2>Kermit enlisted in the Navy during World War Two.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, I think all talking.
<v Speaker 2>I'll Jordan the Navy. He did survive a Kami Kazi
<v Speaker 2>strike and they got married afterward. The story goes on
<v Speaker 2>and on and on and on and on. Anyway, they
<v Speaker 2>did reach out to Kermit, and his actual quote is,
<v Speaker 2>we still love each other. Oh, we still loving each
<v Speaker 2>oldren miss Betty, Miss Betty, I love you, Betty. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Can you imagine being with the same person for eighty years? No? No,
<v Speaker 2>I would love to pick their brains though.
<v Speaker 3>Those are people that you just want to sit down
<v Speaker 3>and talk with them because the stories that they don't know.
<v Speaker 5>Tell me what secrets? Why?
<v Speaker 2>Because they'll be like, what, oh, come on, I'm sorry
<v Speaker 2>what you say trying to.
<v Speaker 5>Pick your brains, sir? I don't care for the rain.
<v Speaker 5>How long have you been married?
<v Speaker 2>Not not that Harry, thank you. I'm not picking their
<v Speaker 2>brain at all. You're crazy, Josh, grab your phone.
<v Speaker 1>The sun starts now with Fast five.
<v Speaker 9>I'm gonna be happy to hear mom on the radio.
<v Speaker 5>How fast can you be?

<v Speaker 2>forty nine, Katie, give us some examples for cod six.

<v Speaker 5>besties or five ways to say goodbye. Oh, and then
<v Speaker 5>the one I want to yesterday Leah, who named five
<v Speaker 5>sounds that would scare you? Anight, you never know what's
<v Speaker 5>gonna be, asked, Jeremy. It's all over the place.
<v Speaker 2>The worst sound you can hear at night is if
<v Speaker 2>you sleep with a cat and you wake up and
<v Speaker 2>the cat's going, that's the worst sound.
<v Speaker 5>Stuff's about to happen.
<v Speaker 2>Do I ever tell you about the time that we
<v Speaker 2>had the cat doing that on the bed in the
<v Speaker 2>middle of the night, and I woke up, and I
<v Speaker 2>leaped out, and I grabbed the cat and I swung
<v Speaker 2>her around to get her into the bathroom on the
<v Speaker 2>harder floor, you know, not carpet. And as I swung
<v Speaker 2>her around, she went all the way across the wall.
<v Speaker 5>Oh ah, that's gonna make me.
<v Speaker 2>That's a kiddy cat fail right there. It is.
<v Speaker 5>Oh my goodnesses, he never know what you're gonna ask
<v Speaker 5>you you really don't.
<v Speaker 2>All five places? You don't want your cat to throw

<v Speaker 2>be a good done. What kind of coffee do you have?
<v Speaker 11>I got some Starbucks home homebrew.
<v Speaker 2>All right, I'm mad at that cream and sugar. You

<v Speaker 2>Oh wow, this guy is tough, straight up. You're hardcore man.
<v Speaker 2>I never I can never understand people who just drink
<v Speaker 2>their coffee black. Yeah, it's too harsh for me.
<v Speaker 5>No, a little bit of sweeteners all the taste that way.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, yeah, he smoked cigarettes. No, okay, I just
<v Speaker 2>always envisioned a guy with a cigarette and his drinking
<v Speaker 2>his black coffee. Give me a couple of clocks.
<v Speaker 7>About his wife of thirty years.
<v Speaker 2>Mortgaging, my mortgaging, my kids. They're not talking to me anymore. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>give me another hit of that. And his coffee pot

<v Speaker 10>to work right now.

<v Speaker 10>work out, so he gets to get more familiar with things.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, that's not bad at all. One of the best
<v Speaker 2>jobs I ever had was I worked at a gym
<v Speaker 2>for like three years or something. That was the best gig.
<v Speaker 2>Just met so many great people, free workouts, and I
<v Speaker 2>learned a lot about my body. Awesome.
<v Speaker 10>That's always good.
<v Speaker 2>To know.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, he's always so happy to tell us too.
<v Speaker 2>All Right, I need I don't need actors or movies
<v Speaker 2>or anything like that with it one. I just need traits,
<v Speaker 2>any sort of five traits, appearances, powers, anything, five traits
<v Speaker 2>that have to do with vampires.
<v Speaker 9>Go with umpires.
<v Speaker 10>I don't know, Honestly, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Really, fangs and drinking your blood is big garleg I'm
<v Speaker 2>gonna hold on to Michelle. That was really bad.
<v Speaker 13>That was really bad.
<v Speaker 2>That was so bad, Michelle, Traits that have to do
<v Speaker 2>with vampires.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, like characteristics you know.
<v Speaker 2>Well, we're gonna reuse it though, I'm not gonna tell
<v Speaker 2>you anymore.
<v Speaker 10>That was so bad. I'm so sorry.
<v Speaker 2>Again, It's all right. It's fun. It's very embarrassing for you, but.
<v Speaker 10>It was fun getting through to you guys. You guys
<v Speaker 10>every day. You guys are amazing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh you're so right. I love you so much. Michelle,
<v Speaker 2>You're okay.
<v Speaker 9>Bye, by.
<v Speaker 2>Liz un will you win this stupid game? For God's sakes,
<v Speaker 2>I got to go to the bathroom.
<v Speaker 13>Well, I was hoping you were saving the vampire one
<v Speaker 13>for me.
<v Speaker 2>I got it so bad.
<v Speaker 5>That is a good one.
<v Speaker 2>That was so easy you know a lot about vampires.
<v Speaker 13>Huh, I don't, but everybody knows something about vampire.
<v Speaker 2>I know, right, you know.
<v Speaker 5>I don't think you said the question.
<v Speaker 2>It is the problem. But you played before, Liz. I
<v Speaker 2>feel like you've played before.
<v Speaker 13>I played a lot of times, Jeremy. I really want
<v Speaker 13>to win. I need to win for my daughter.
<v Speaker 2>So you failed many, many times every time. All right, well,
<v Speaker 2>this one might sound familiar to you. Are you ready?
<v Speaker 5>No?
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, all right, in ten seconds, I need the
<v Speaker 2>names of five different jewelry stores.
<v Speaker 13>Go change your at Hellsburg, Coles, Target, J Pennies, Fine
<v Speaker 13>has a.
<v Speaker 2>We're going to accept Target as a jewelry.
<v Speaker 5>Store, Scott. I don't know what jewelry.
<v Speaker 2>Store you wonder get your engagement ring.
<v Speaker 5>I buy most of my earrings from Target, though, I
<v Speaker 5>can tell.
<v Speaker 10>Jere will you please blame me?
<v Speaker 2>I didn't even have to ask you, Queen, please say
<v Speaker 2>please say please one more time? Please? Okay, now you don't.
<v Speaker 2>You don't have to call in ever again.
<v Speaker 8>That is.
<v Speaker 10>Never win anything.
<v Speaker 13>You guys are so amazing.
<v Speaker 2>And you're so right. You're so right.
<v Speaker 5>You did all the hard work.
<v Speaker 2>You good today, Liz with your JC panty jewelry. All right,
<v Speaker 2>So I'm gonna put you on hold. We're gonna come back,
<v Speaker 2>tell you all about your prize. You're gonna go to
<v Speaker 2>a concert at Red Rocks, Jaredy, Katie and Josh one hundred. Well,
<v Speaker 2>I want a puke right now. I walked back the
<v Speaker 2>past the sports station a little bit ago, and their
<v Speaker 2>sports guys are and they're doing their little sports stuff,
<v Speaker 2>points and stats and points and stats, hit nose balls
<v Speaker 2>with the baseball bats. And Mark Moser is over there him.
<v Speaker 2>He's a good guy. He's one of our friends. Knuckles
<v Speaker 2>deep in his nose. Oh no, he is going to town.
<v Speaker 2>He's the same one who did the farmers blow with
<v Speaker 2>you and we left that thing. He's got a boogie
<v Speaker 2>feed put a little boogie in it, and then he
<v Speaker 2>just walked by. I guarantee you he's not walking to
<v Speaker 2>the bathroom to wash his hands. Was he so right
<v Speaker 2>in sunglasses inside? I don't know, but he was knuckles
<v Speaker 2>deep in there.
<v Speaker 5>I want to see you look at him.
<v Speaker 2>No, But I mean, I've got water out of the
<v Speaker 2>fridger in the kitchen and I went eime, I made
<v Speaker 2>it physical. Get any other guys sitting there there's they're
<v Speaker 2>just sitting there. They don't even notice.
<v Speaker 5>Normal Tuesday. This is what happens.
<v Speaker 2>Nicole Vardy's in there today too, special day, you know what.
<v Speaker 5>I just like they are at home. They feel comfortable
<v Speaker 5>in that studio so much so that everything's blocked out.
<v Speaker 5>He didn't know you were here. He's just like, I
<v Speaker 5>am so comfortable, my hand is in my face.
<v Speaker 2>Thanks for hanging out with us. You get some riveting
<v Speaker 2>content this morning with Jeremy Katie and Josh Denvers makes
<v Speaker 2>one hundred. I hope you stick around. At about a twenty,
<v Speaker 2>we're going to read a listener email that came in
<v Speaker 2>a lady who snapped. Oh she snapped, but it's who
<v Speaker 2>she snapped at that is kind of freaking her out
<v Speaker 2>a little bit. So we'll give you all the details
<v Speaker 2>on that coming up right around eight twenty with jk Ja,
<v Speaker 2>we got a little fat America for you. There's some
<v Speaker 2>McDonald's hacks out this morning, coming from somebody who's to
<v Speaker 2>work at Mickey D's. She is saying, if you want
<v Speaker 2>fresh fries, not French fries, but fresh fries with your order,
<v Speaker 2>all you have to do is say, make me some
<v Speaker 2>fries with no salt, and they've got to make a
<v Speaker 2>special batch for you to get fresh fries, but then
<v Speaker 2>you don't get the salt on them.
<v Speaker 5>And not only that, but this has been a trick
<v Speaker 5>that's been going on for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>Oh.
<v Speaker 5>Having worked at McDonald's when I was younger, I will
<v Speaker 5>tell you when people ask for that immediately makes everyone
<v Speaker 5>mad and they don't go out of their way to
<v Speaker 5>make sure. I'm not saying every McDonald's.
<v Speaker 2>You know what, I would do.
<v Speaker 5>McDonald's fine, but no.
<v Speaker 2>I would take the fries and I would just lick
<v Speaker 2>each fry and I would lick the salt off. Not
<v Speaker 2>that they do that. This is just me personally, if
<v Speaker 2>I was working at a random fast food dress exactly,
<v Speaker 2>just lick the salt off.
<v Speaker 5>But be careful with that one.
<v Speaker 2>The poor man Big Mac. They say, if you order
<v Speaker 2>a Mac double with no ketchup or mustard, but add
<v Speaker 2>the Big Mac sauce and shredded lettuce, it's cheaper than
<v Speaker 2>an actual Big Mac.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, that's a good one.
<v Speaker 2>The multiple orders hack. I guarantee you they didn't have
<v Speaker 2>this when Katie was there. It's an app thing, so
<v Speaker 2>you have to have multiple accounts that you circulate through.
<v Speaker 2>So you log out, order the deal, you log back out,
<v Speaker 2>log in with a new name an email, get the
<v Speaker 2>deal again, log out, log in with a new nail.
<v Speaker 5>It's too much for some McNuggets to do.
<v Speaker 2>You have.
<v Speaker 5>Wow.
<v Speaker 2>So the last thing isn't really a hack, but the
<v Speaker 2>just there's a difference between the folded egg and the
<v Speaker 2>rounded egg. I guess there's a pre made folded egg
<v Speaker 2>that they put on their biscuits and make griddles, So
<v Speaker 2>if you want that one, you have to request it.
<v Speaker 2>Other than that, the rounded egg is literally a fresh
<v Speaker 2>cracked egg that goes on the mcmuffins.
<v Speaker 5>Why wouldn't you want the fresh cracked egg with fresh crack.
<v Speaker 5>That's why I like the mcmuffins and McDonald's breakfast sandwiches,
<v Speaker 5>because that's a real egg right there.
<v Speaker 2>Who's the monsters ordering the folded ey? Yeah, coming from
<v Speaker 2>the factory.
<v Speaker 5>Why crack me a real egg?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Ronald, I want to meat the chicken. Yeah, make
<v Speaker 2>me a sandwich, grimace. You had some other hacks when
<v Speaker 2>it comes to cooking, too, don't you.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, there's a you know a lot of pro chefs
<v Speaker 5>out there giving tips as far as eating at home
<v Speaker 5>and why A lot of times when you make something
<v Speaker 5>at home, it doesn't taste the same as if you
<v Speaker 5>ordered it in a restaurant. Meat is a big thing
<v Speaker 5>when it comes to that, but all around general preparing too.
<v Speaker 5>So one of the biggest tips here is to have
<v Speaker 5>everything ready when it is time to cook, because that
<v Speaker 5>will throw you off more than anything. If you have,
<v Speaker 5>say your burger in the pan, or your meat or whatever,
<v Speaker 5>and then you you need veggies to put in there,
<v Speaker 5>you didn't cut up the veggiees, so now you're cutting
<v Speaker 5>ve as the meat is cooking, You're gonna overcook that,
<v Speaker 5>you know what I mean. Like to have everything ready
<v Speaker 5>before you go into prepareing the recipe. That is such
<v Speaker 5>a power move that chefs use and it makes a
<v Speaker 5>big difference.
<v Speaker 2>You know why. I like doing that too, because I
<v Speaker 2>feel like I'm on a TV show where I'm the
<v Speaker 2>chef and I'll have my bowl of peppers, my bowl
<v Speaker 2>of onions, my bowl of whatever, and it's all lined
<v Speaker 2>up Bobby or whatever. I know, I'm an emerald.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, you have your spices in little individual rabbits. You're
<v Speaker 5>like adding the paprika like your professional I know. I
<v Speaker 5>love that too. I also love. They have a term
<v Speaker 5>in cooking. It's called don't crowd the mushrooms. Okay, okay,
<v Speaker 5>And it's a really big tip because when you do
<v Speaker 5>put too much in a pan, okay, it changes things
<v Speaker 5>when it comes to the science of the cooking. You
<v Speaker 5>are steaming instead of uh, instead of browning. It's a
<v Speaker 5>big deal. And so it changes.
<v Speaker 2>Crowd ushrooms of the dish.
<v Speaker 5>So if you even don't crowd the mushrooms, but even
<v Speaker 5>if it's as much as scrambling and egg, you don't
<v Speaker 5>want to put too much egg in the pan because
<v Speaker 5>again the surface area and the heat.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, big deal, amateur crowding the mushrooms Again, look at
<v Speaker 2>you crowded the mushrooms. To my wife, she'd be like,
<v Speaker 2>what the hell are You should.
<v Speaker 5>Just work it in a conversation today.
<v Speaker 2>Just don't crowd the mushrooms. I'm gonna work that in.
<v Speaker 2>Like if I'm at water World standing in line and
<v Speaker 2>people are all up in my business and don't.
<v Speaker 5>Crowd the mushrooms. You sit here in the building, like,
<v Speaker 5>can we do that?
<v Speaker 2>Get away with it.
<v Speaker 5>Let's let's do you know.
<v Speaker 2>We sit at those little tables at the All Stars
<v Speaker 2>and people come sit around us because we're so popular,
<v Speaker 2>we can be like, don't crowd the mushrooms. Yeah, then
<v Speaker 2>we'll get called.
<v Speaker 5>H is weird again? Got one more. This is the
<v Speaker 5>big one, and this is about your meat. Kay, You
<v Speaker 5>got to take care of your meat.
<v Speaker 2>This is the biggest onis.
<v Speaker 5>This is the biggest difference when it comes to home
<v Speaker 5>cooking as opposed to going out to a restaurant. When
<v Speaker 5>you get a steak, right, a lot of times that
<v Speaker 5>steak isn't gonna taste as good as if you order
<v Speaker 5>it from a restaurant. And the big reason is because
<v Speaker 5>you're not resting your protein. Gotta rest your protein. Rest
<v Speaker 5>your only after a lot of people think this is
<v Speaker 5>just after you cook it. You need to make sure
<v Speaker 5>it rests for five minutes or so so the juice
<v Speaker 5>is distribute evenly. You need to do that. That's a protein.
<v Speaker 2>That is something a lot of people miss. Yes, you
<v Speaker 2>got to rest your meat. When I do my five
<v Speaker 2>hour six hour tri tip on the smoker, I bring
<v Speaker 2>it inside, wrap and foil, and then I wrap like
<v Speaker 2>two or three hand towels. Then you put it in
<v Speaker 2>a cooler, close the lid, and let it sit in
<v Speaker 2>there for about thirty minutes you have to. And then
<v Speaker 2>I look at the children and I go, don't you
<v Speaker 2>the meat is resting.
<v Speaker 5>No, it's such a big deal because you have to
<v Speaker 5>take that meat out of the fridge. You can't just
<v Speaker 5>take a chicken breast from the fridge and slap it
<v Speaker 5>in a pan.
<v Speaker 2>Amateur move.
<v Speaker 5>A lot of people do that, Josh, And honestly, when
<v Speaker 5>you want to that, you know you When you take
<v Speaker 5>it straight from the cold fridge into the pan, it
<v Speaker 5>for cooks the outside before the center ever catches chicken.
<v Speaker 5>It's a big, unevenly dry cooks piece of meat.
<v Speaker 2>Nobody likes that, Nobody wants to drive me.
<v Speaker 5>Sure, you take it out of the fridge for at
<v Speaker 5>least fifteen minutes before you cook it. Yeah, let that
<v Speaker 5>baby sit there and rest, contemplate its feelings, and then
<v Speaker 5>you throw it in the pan. And then when you're
<v Speaker 5>done there, let it rest.
<v Speaker 2>You can make it your be a lot of.
<v Speaker 5>Resting when it comes to your meat.
<v Speaker 2>So you might tell my wife that today too. Don't
<v Speaker 2>crowd the mushrooms. I'm resting my meat. She's gonna love
<v Speaker 2>you so turned on.
<v Speaker 5>Be careful, honey, careful the meat.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not a machine. All right, since we're talking about food,
<v Speaker 2>I got one more food related story for you guys, okay,
<v Speaker 2>and it truly I was not surprised by this. It's like,
<v Speaker 2>why did it take this long for the fad diet
<v Speaker 2>to kick in? A lot of doctors are out there
<v Speaker 2>this morning. You know, you all are trying to lose
<v Speaker 2>weight and all, but they say you should not be
<v Speaker 2>doing the diarrhea lettuce diet right now that believe it
<v Speaker 2>or not, there are a lot of posts out there
<v Speaker 2>right now encouraging people. I mean, I'm sure these are
<v Speaker 2>TikTokers or whatever real brain acts, you know. The doctors
<v Speaker 2>on TikTok they're saying, if you want to lose a
<v Speaker 2>ton of weight in a hurry, that you need to
<v Speaker 2>go out and just eat lettuce like crazy in hopes
<v Speaker 2>that you'll get that cyclospora or whatever it's called, and
<v Speaker 2>it's called cyclospora skinny. Right now, they're encouraging people to
<v Speaker 2>get out, eat a bunch of lettuce, blow your bowels
<v Speaker 2>out essentially, and just drain yourself of fat and any
<v Speaker 2>sort of nutrients and you'll drop two or three dress sizes.
<v Speaker 5>Oh and hate your life of it. Everyone else I've
<v Speaker 5>talked to who has had this or experienced it. It
<v Speaker 5>is like non ending.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the doctors are saying, you're gonna lose so much
<v Speaker 2>of your electrolytes in your body. You're gonna have muscle cramps,
<v Speaker 2>You're gonna have headaches, you're gonna have dehydration. They say,
<v Speaker 2>you get to a state where your heart just can't
<v Speaker 2>pump enough blood because there's no water in there, because
<v Speaker 2>you're draining yourself. You can literally die from this.
<v Speaker 5>But I'm skinny, but oh my god, I'm.
<v Speaker 2>So good in my casket.
<v Speaker 5>No to me that people think that's okay.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, you know, are you shocked by this at all?
<v Speaker 12>Though?
<v Speaker 2>That the fat diet, This fat diet has blown up
<v Speaker 2>on TikTok.
<v Speaker 5>We've had crazier diets for sure, but this one just
<v Speaker 5>seems like a little unnecessary. Like you can totally avoid
<v Speaker 5>this and just forgot.
<v Speaker 2>God's sakes, get on a treadmill and maybe.
<v Speaker 5>Fasting would work for you. I know a lot of
<v Speaker 5>people who swear by that. You know, yeah, not me,
<v Speaker 5>but a lot of people.
<v Speaker 2>If you're thinking about it, if you've seen it, probably
<v Speaker 2>talk to your kids about this. Honestly, don't do the diarrhea,
<v Speaker 2>lettus diet. Okay, come on the.
<v Speaker 5>Fact that you just had to say those were right.
<v Speaker 2>I never thought I would have to say, just let's
<v Speaker 2>be grown ups. Okay. Kind of a lengthy message that
<v Speaker 2>came in from Mel. I'll try to zip through it here.
<v Speaker 2>But Mel says, hey, guys, I've been going to the
<v Speaker 2>same hairstylist for about seven years. The best I've ever had.
<v Speaker 2>The problem is is she never stops talking. Couple she
<v Speaker 2>is Katie her hairs. A couple of A couple of
<v Speaker 2>weeks ago, I had one of those days where everything
<v Speaker 2>that could go wrong did and I had a pounding migraine,
<v Speaker 2>hadn't slept much the night before, and I was mentally
<v Speaker 2>exhausted and bloated. Oh boy, to TMI. All I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to do was sit in the chair, close my eyes
<v Speaker 2>and enjoy two hours of piece in quiet. But instead,
<v Speaker 2>the second I sat down, it was NonStop conversation. How's work,
<v Speaker 2>how's your husband? Did you book that vacation? What are
<v Speaker 2>your weekend plans? She goes. I just didn't have the
<v Speaker 2>energy for it, and after about twenty minutes I snapped
<v Speaker 2>at her and said, can you please just stop talking?
<v Speaker 2>She laughed a little like I was joking. I said, no, seriously,
<v Speaker 2>I just need some quiet today, she said, Then the
<v Speaker 2>entire salon got quiet.
<v Speaker 5>Oh no.
<v Speaker 2>She didn't say another word for the rest of my appointment,
<v Speaker 2>and for almost two hours. It was one of the
<v Speaker 2>most uncomfortable experiences I had ever had. When she was finished,
<v Speaker 2>I apologized. She quietly replied, it's fine, but I could
<v Speaker 2>tell it wasn't. Now it's about a month later and
<v Speaker 2>I called to make my next appointment. Usually she's upbeat
<v Speaker 2>and happy to talk, but this time she sounded cold,
<v Speaker 2>and I got off the phone as quick as possible,
<v Speaker 2>and I honestly nervous. She said, m this is the
<v Speaker 2>part I thought about before I read this, But she says,
<v Speaker 2>I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but this woman has scissors, razors, bleach,
<v Speaker 2>and my hair in her hands. I keep wondering if
<v Speaker 2>she's still mad enough that she's going to accidentally cut
<v Speaker 2>my banks too short, or take off more than I
<v Speaker 2>asked for, or give me a style that I didn't
<v Speaker 2>quite want. She says. My husband thinks I'm crazy, and
<v Speaker 2>he says a professional would never risk a reputation over
<v Speaker 2>one awkward interaction. My sister says, canceled the appointment immediately. Kind,
<v Speaker 2>don't you lose trust in someone who's responsible for your appearance?
<v Speaker 2>It's over. That's a solid line. She goes, So, guys,
<v Speaker 2>what should I do? Maybe you can use this on
<v Speaker 2>your show. Do I keep the appointment, apologize, trust everything
<v Speaker 2>will be fine? Or should I find a new stylist
<v Speaker 2>because I'll spend the entire appointment wondering if she's about
<v Speaker 2>to get a little revenge. Love the show. Hope this
<v Speaker 2>makes the air. And that's from sweet Mel with her
<v Speaker 2>roots showing right now, she's like to sound off about
<v Speaker 2>Mel's situation with her stylist. What should she do? Phone
<v Speaker 2>lines are open three oh three six nine one mix
<v Speaker 2>three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine. I
<v Speaker 2>feel bad for her, I really do. I do too.
<v Speaker 2>I mean she's stress and for sure well and.
<v Speaker 5>When it comes to your hair and as you just
<v Speaker 5>said in that email, your appearance, I mean you really
<v Speaker 5>get kind of anxious about that. You don't want to
<v Speaker 5>make someone mad who's in charge of that?
<v Speaker 2>I know, especially for as much money and time is
<v Speaker 2>involved in ladies' haircuts.
<v Speaker 5>Hundreds of dollars. I am not kiddies.
<v Speaker 3>Well, and Katie, I just go back to when you
<v Speaker 3>tried to hair go blonde a little bit and how
<v Speaker 3>much it affected you when you didn't love it when
<v Speaker 3>you didn't and it's that's months and months and months
<v Speaker 3>of regrowth and trying to fix it.
<v Speaker 2>And she's a professional who's making money and she doesn't
<v Speaker 2>want anyone to bad mouth her.
<v Speaker 4>You know, No, you're right, she's accident.
<v Speaker 5>You're right, like when something goes wrong with your hair,
<v Speaker 5>like so you don't want to upset that person. But
<v Speaker 5>for me, like this whole situation, I guess it's just
<v Speaker 5>because I talk for a living. I like talking to
<v Speaker 5>people for the most part. But when I'm in those
<v Speaker 5>situations of you know, getting my hair done or getting
<v Speaker 5>my nails done, when it's silent, it's awkward to me,
<v Speaker 5>Like I want to talk to the person just to
<v Speaker 5>be the you know, I feel like they need someone.
<v Speaker 2>To talk to as well, talk.
<v Speaker 5>Here to say. I just feel like I'm doing my part.
<v Speaker 5>The us come in to play a part absolutely real.
<v Speaker 2>Right now, to save we enjoy the quiet, So you
<v Speaker 2>honestly don't trust yourself out over that. You're fine being
<v Speaker 2>quiet in the morning, off the air. Yeah, don't even worry.
<v Speaker 5>You know why we are fine. Any other time I
<v Speaker 5>would take that, but now you know, you need that banter.
<v Speaker 5>You need to be able to feel like you are,
<v Speaker 5>you know, in a situation where you trust that person
<v Speaker 5>they trust you. You're both playing a part. I feel
<v Speaker 5>like and if you're not going into that situation ready
<v Speaker 5>to play your part.
<v Speaker 3>Well, and I feel like you, Yeah, Katie, You and
<v Speaker 3>I both have our moms as hairdressers who have done
<v Speaker 3>this for years and years and years. And I feel
<v Speaker 3>like the hairdresser, especially a woman, is like you're confident,
<v Speaker 3>like you can tell them things you've been going to
<v Speaker 3>them for years. I know my mom has stories for
<v Speaker 3>days about things that people have told her while they're
<v Speaker 3>getting their hair did up.
<v Speaker 2>So they're the therapists, they really are, right, Yeah, So
<v Speaker 2>what should mel do?
<v Speaker 5>You?
<v Speaker 2>Guys? I know there's a lot of ladies listening who
<v Speaker 2>has stylists that they're pretty solid with. What if you
<v Speaker 2>snapped at one of them told them just please stop talking.
<v Speaker 2>I need some quiet today. Did you get a couple
<v Speaker 2>of messages Kanie? Yeah, Well we definitely text line blew
<v Speaker 2>up on this.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, absolutely, and from I think this is Cindy. She said,
<v Speaker 5>I have a really good relationship with my hairdresser, Like
<v Speaker 5>we hang out outside of my hair appointment, So maybe
<v Speaker 5>it's because of that. But if I'm having a bad
<v Speaker 5>day or not feeling well and not up to talking,
<v Speaker 5>I just talked to them beforehand, so it's like I'm
<v Speaker 5>usually a peppi polite person, but they'll give me a
<v Speaker 5>pass if I just need some quiet that day. So
<v Speaker 5>that may be because of her.
<v Speaker 3>Relations good advice for the next time exactly because pull
<v Speaker 3>her opposite curiosity texted in Nope, I could never go
<v Speaker 3>back every time she picked up the scissors, I'd be flinching.
<v Speaker 4>Just take that l and find a new stylist.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, yeah, well, and I mean like a few of
<v Speaker 5>those as well, like we got. I think it's a
<v Speaker 5>good move for her to cancel or move the appointment.
<v Speaker 5>I that when you go to a business that has
<v Speaker 5>to protect their reputation, they probably won't run it on purpose,
<v Speaker 5>but it won't be an enjoyable experience. So I think
<v Speaker 5>that's a good tip as well, Like if you've already
<v Speaker 5>ruined it, I don't know if there's any going.
<v Speaker 2>Back, right, And that's the ones I pulled off the
<v Speaker 2>text line. I had one, two, three, four that I
<v Speaker 2>read that was essentially move on on every single one
<v Speaker 2>of them. This one said I once told my nail
<v Speaker 2>tick that I hated my nails, and I was trying
<v Speaker 2>to be honest. She burst into tears. I feel awful
<v Speaker 2>about it. Now I drive thirty minutes to a different
<v Speaker 2>salon because I can't face her. Yeah, you got to
<v Speaker 2>move on. Somebody else wrote in and said I feel
<v Speaker 2>bad for the stylist. Imagine spending years building a relationship
<v Speaker 2>with someone and then basically getting told to shut up.
<v Speaker 2>I would question every future visit. I would run from
<v Speaker 2>that style.
<v Speaker 5>And I like that the point of view from the stylist,
<v Speaker 5>like they that can't make them feel good at all,
<v Speaker 5>you know, jeez?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, really quick. I do want to talk to Clara,
<v Speaker 2>who wrote in Hi Clara, or called in high Clari, Hi, Hi, Hi.
<v Speaker 2>What do you think Mel should do about this situation?
<v Speaker 9>I think I think she can still go through her hairstylist,
<v Speaker 9>but I do think both options kind of leave out that,
<v Speaker 9>like Mel's not being accountable for what she did. It
<v Speaker 9>was rude of her to snap at her hairstylist like that,
<v Speaker 9>and I think that she owes her an apology. You know,
<v Speaker 9>I think it's totally okay. I get migraines too, so
<v Speaker 9>I totally understand that. But I think going into that appointment,
<v Speaker 9>I think had she just communicated that, like, hey, I'm
<v Speaker 9>not feeling super great today, is it okay? If we
<v Speaker 9>just kind of sit in silence, I think that would
<v Speaker 9>have been fine. Instead of like chucking it out for
<v Speaker 9>twenty minutes and then snapping. I think that wasn't great.
<v Speaker 9>And so at the very least she owes her an apology,
<v Speaker 9>and yeah, like if she's been going to her for
<v Speaker 9>that long and they've built a relationship, like she kind
<v Speaker 9>of owes her like repairing that relationship too. And also
<v Speaker 9>it's like she's a professional. I think if you apologize
<v Speaker 9>and go back, like maybe bring her a knife, stiff
<v Speaker 9>basket or something.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's exactly what I was gonna say.
<v Speaker 5>That's a good movie.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, this has been seven year relationship, you're
<v Speaker 2>both adults. Come in with one of those edible baskets
<v Speaker 2>that the fruit the flowers made out of the fruit edible,
<v Speaker 2>bring an edible arrangement and a Starbucks gift card and
<v Speaker 2>say I am so sorry that I was bloated and angry.
<v Speaker 9>Explain what happened, and then I think she would understand
<v Speaker 9>and say, like, no, it's totally okay. You know, it's like, hey,
<v Speaker 9>we're yeah, yes, I still like you. Oh, I still
<v Speaker 9>trust you. Like I think that's fine, you know, but
<v Speaker 9>take it ability.
<v Speaker 2>And then you'll embrace and everything will be fine and
<v Speaker 2>they make it right.
<v Speaker 5>You'll make it, But I do. I think that's it though.
<v Speaker 5>The extra effort on that level is what it's going
<v Speaker 5>to take.
<v Speaker 2>Clara, You're very wise.
<v Speaker 9>Six guys.
<v Speaker 2>I wish we could. I wish we could buy you
<v Speaker 2>a Starbucks I know would get good advice. Enjoy your day, Clara,
<v Speaker 2>thank you so much for calling it. If you guys
<v Speaker 2>ever have a dilemma you want to share with us
<v Speaker 2>Jeremy Katie Josh on Facebook and Instagram.

<v Speaker 3>year without any type of football.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, we have.
<v Speaker 3>Training camps starting up for the Broncos two day as
<v Speaker 3>the Veterans reported, the first public training camp that you
<v Speaker 3>can go to.
<v Speaker 4>All you gotta do is reserve tickets. You don't have
<v Speaker 4>to buy them there.
<v Speaker 2>Can you yell at them if you're out there?
<v Speaker 5>Oh absolutely, playing at them for that.
<v Speaker 2>Know, maybe they dropped the ball or something. When they're throwing,
<v Speaker 2>you can doing their little press throws. It just would
<v Speaker 2>you want to be kicked anyway?
<v Speaker 5>That's it.
<v Speaker 2>I also my nipples blue at that.
<v Speaker 5>I do it.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, man, I don't know. Yes.
<v Speaker 4>The first football game.
<v Speaker 5>Is permission, Sorry, we got it.
<v Speaker 2>Please continue. This is important stuff. But also the.
<v Speaker 3>First preseason game is actually next Thursday, so that's how
<v Speaker 3>kills me or and then after that for the rest
<v Speaker 3>of the year, every single week we will have some
<v Speaker 3>type of football game pre season. Well, it's the Hall
<v Speaker 3>of Fame game that starts starts a little, but watch
<v Speaker 3>game season game.
<v Speaker 5>Football is upon us.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, you know it should be in the Hall of Fame,
<v Speaker 2>my blue nipple.
<v Speaker 1>Please. You thought you'd heard.
<v Speaker 2>It all, Just when you think you've shot everything, not.
<v Speaker 1>Even close spiraling, who's getting an what's the local buzz?
<v Speaker 5>What can we expect?
<v Speaker 1>We're diving headfirst into the chaos. It's the mile high height.
<v Speaker 13>Yeah, what's up?
<v Speaker 1>What's what's up with?
<v Speaker 2>Yay? What is up? Homies? Okay, So just to give
<v Speaker 2>you a little bit of anxiety this morning. Ninety five
<v Speaker 2>days until Halloween, one hundred and twenty one days until Thanksgiving,
<v Speaker 2>and one hundred and forty nine days until Christmas. Good morning, everybody,
<v Speaker 2>Time to put the tree up.
<v Speaker 5>Ah.
<v Speaker 2>There's a story out this morning about the most watched
<v Speaker 2>movies on Netflix, and the old K pop Demon Hunters
<v Speaker 2>came in at number one, almost seven hundred million views
<v Speaker 2>of that silly little movie you know.
<v Speaker 5>In someone's living room. It's still on repeat. It is
<v Speaker 5>still going strong.
<v Speaker 2>There was a time when it first came out it
<v Speaker 2>was it was seriously NonStop for probably a week. At
<v Speaker 2>my house. It was just on all the time.
<v Speaker 5>I watched it and I don't even have a child, Like,
<v Speaker 5>I think everybody watched that movie.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, got bits and pieces of it for sure. There's
<v Speaker 2>a actually, speaking of views, a six part series on
<v Speaker 2>Instagram right now showing a woman on a Carnival cruise
<v Speaker 2>scratching her nasty foot fungus with a fork. It was
<v Speaker 2>secretly filmed by several passengers and believe it or not,
<v Speaker 2>a lot of people were grossed out by this. It's
<v Speaker 2>up about thirty million views on the foot scratching.
<v Speaker 5>It's funny. I don't know if it needed to be
<v Speaker 5>six whole parts, but.
<v Speaker 2>It would have been fine.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Anyway, Carnival got a hold of it and they sent
<v Speaker 2>out a statement that said we can confirm that forks
<v Speaker 2>that we have are intended for food, not foot care.
<v Speaker 2>Once we became aware of the situation, our team quickly
<v Speaker 2>addressed it with the guests, Hey knock it off, will you?
<v Speaker 2>And we were we removed the utensil from service. How
<v Speaker 2>do they know they got the right one? You get
<v Speaker 2>the catcher in the act?
<v Speaker 5>Does this one look different? There's flakes when you see
<v Speaker 5>this video, I mean it, and things are falling off
<v Speaker 5>wound Like I looked at it and I was like,
<v Speaker 5>that is incredibly satisfying.
<v Speaker 2>I bet like it looked really like oh man, like
<v Speaker 2>like you're doing that. While you're doing it.
<v Speaker 5>Go get a pedicure.
<v Speaker 2>I guess that I wanted to do it over like
<v Speaker 2>a salad or maybe like a plate of spaghetti for me,
<v Speaker 2>like a top of spaghetti all covered.
<v Speaker 5>With craving salt over.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's like almost like farmers on cheese on top
<v Speaker 2>of your sketty get over there, say win. It's like
<v Speaker 2>the olive garden thing where they're you know, and they're like, say.
<v Speaker 5>Win, never need cheese.
<v Speaker 2>Never scratching.
<v Speaker 5>Keep scratching, lady, that's not it.
<v Speaker 2>Don't ever stop locally.
<v Speaker 5>Saying Okay, well, we're gonna make you happy because it's
<v Speaker 5>the first ever fat marmot wake walk with a bracket
<v Speaker 5>and everything, and I am you're a fat I am
<v Speaker 5>fascinated by marmots right now. Actually, do you know it's
<v Speaker 5>the largest member of the squirrel family. Yeah, I had
<v Speaker 5>no idea. And they can put up to three times
<v Speaker 5>their body weight on in summer before hibernating for five months.
<v Speaker 5>So what they do is just fum root for the
<v Speaker 5>chunkiest marmot I know I wish I had a bracket,
<v Speaker 5>I would be I would be the champion and you
<v Speaker 5>know it, fat Katie contest.
<v Speaker 2>Winning that out day nine days until Christmas. Get your
<v Speaker 2>hibernation weight on.
<v Speaker 5>That's kind of what they're doing here.
<v Speaker 2>So can I get you a T shirt? This is
<v Speaker 2>fat Marmot on it? Would you wear it or else?
<v Speaker 5>I would wear it every day like I would wear
<v Speaker 5>it a lot. You should give me that T shirt. Actually,
<v Speaker 5>if no dish spach other things none taking?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, good, make sure.
<v Speaker 5>Gil like to put all that on.
<v Speaker 2>Come on.
<v Speaker 5>But the first ever Fat Marmot Week again, this is
<v Speaker 5>from the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. So it's coming up
<v Speaker 5>August twenty fourth through the twenty ninth, and it's very
<v Speaker 5>similar to Fat Bear Week. How they do it up
<v Speaker 5>there at that nature park and preserve up in cat
<v Speaker 5>to my I don't know, but you bet this Great
<v Speaker 5>Marmit Week. This it's gonna be in Gothic Colorado. So
<v Speaker 5>they're inviting the public to vote for their favorite Marmot
<v Speaker 5>in a bracket style showdown. And it has been a
<v Speaker 5>tough year for Marmot's chair.
<v Speaker 2>Thats it sure has.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, the scientists who studied them found out that the
<v Speaker 5>snow melted so much earlier, which left them susceptible to
<v Speaker 5>predators for longer. They're thirsty, and roughly one hundred involved
<v Speaker 5>in the study sadly passed away over the winter.
<v Speaker 2>Thanks for that horribly.
<v Speaker 5>So I'm to say they're really trying to raise the
<v Speaker 5>spirits of the Marmot community and say this right now,
<v Speaker 5>and so yeah, this is fun though. Right August twenty
<v Speaker 5>fourth through the twenty ninth, mark your calendar so you
<v Speaker 5>can take place in the Fat Marmot Week challenge, all bright,
<v Speaker 5>All right, okay, and then just one more here, let's see,
<v Speaker 5>Oh the twenty one tons of taters.
<v Speaker 2>We got to talk about. Yeah, we need an update.
<v Speaker 5>Well, because yesterday we talked about how the forty two
<v Speaker 5>thousand pounds of potatoes came to the Mile High City
<v Speaker 5>because over in the Midwest they were just gonna throw
<v Speaker 5>them away. So we had a local nonprofit that was like,
<v Speaker 5>wait a second, we can help you with those potatoes.
<v Speaker 5>So they brought them to the Five Points area and
<v Speaker 5>yesterday they just opened up the Potato Fair. It's like
<v Speaker 5>potato poaloozo over there, exactly.
<v Speaker 2>Just bring your friends grab a potato.
<v Speaker 5>Get your free papas fritos over here. And so they
<v Speaker 5>came and in ninety minutes cleaned out the two tons
<v Speaker 5>of potatoes here in the community. So shout out to
<v Speaker 5>everyone who heard, and you know, made it a thing
<v Speaker 5>because you got rid of those potatoes. No problems.
<v Speaker 2>Pretty that they went that fast though.
<v Speaker 5>I just love that, you know they need.
<v Speaker 2>There's cars in town right now making turns this morning,
<v Speaker 2>and there's potatoes rolling across their back seat. I guarantee
<v Speaker 2>you you know it is the great potatoes cater Experiment.
<v Speaker 5>There you go, so some good news today and you
<v Speaker 5>thank you, you little welcome fat marmot.
<v Speaker 1>Unlitt scrolls celebrity gossip, TV movies.
<v Speaker 10>You know my answer?

<v Speaker 12>So my name is Carrie. I am the shoe Marvel,
<v Speaker 12>you know, and I have an entire room dedicated to
<v Speaker 12>Marvel and Iron Man.
<v Speaker 2>No way. You know what's funny is I actually have
<v Speaker 2>a Marvel question today.
<v Speaker 11>I kid you, not really, you already told me I'm winning.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so you might really do good today. Can you
<v Speaker 2>send us pictures of your Marvel room later when we're
<v Speaker 2>done with this?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 11>Absolutely, Yeah, I'm very proud of it.
<v Speaker 2>Like, do you have all sorts of like action figures
<v Speaker 2>and really neat things comics?
<v Speaker 12>I have over one hundred funkos. I have like movie
<v Speaker 12>posters and all the comics books.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Faces, I'm I'm not mad at this at all.
<v Speaker 2>I'm a he man dork, so I would totally have
<v Speaker 2>a he man room. But my wife will says she
<v Speaker 2>would leave me.
<v Speaker 11>So that's the glory of being single.
<v Speaker 2>Well, yeah, you're a surprise, you're single. Okay, So what's
<v Speaker 2>the most valuable thing you got in that room?
<v Speaker 11>Ooh, his glasses Tony Stark's glasses.
<v Speaker 2>From like actual movie prop classes.
<v Speaker 12>No, but they're the like four hundred dollars you can
<v Speaker 12>see inside and his screen and everything.
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, they're really cool.
<v Speaker 2>That's really neat. Yeah, send us some pictures and we're done.
<v Speaker 2>Same phone number. Okay, okay, right, here's what's gonna happen.
<v Speaker 2>You're perfect for this because this is a pop culture
<v Speaker 2>trivia questions best out of five wins, ties go to Katie.
<v Speaker 2>You'll each get the same questions. Anything you want to say.
<v Speaker 5>I'm a little scared. Not gonna lie carry exactly. That's
<v Speaker 5>why you sound so confident. But good luck anyway.
<v Speaker 2>You know what. My only worry is, Carrie, the question
<v Speaker 2>I have about Marvel I hope is correct.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>If not, you're gonna you're gonna school me. All right,
<v Speaker 2>Katie's gonna leave the studio right now. She goes into
<v Speaker 2>a room where she can't hear anything. I come up
<v Speaker 2>with the questions, so there's no cheating, and we will
<v Speaker 2>find out if you are right or wrong on these questions, Carrie,
<v Speaker 2>once we bring her back in. All right, she's in
<v Speaker 2>locked away in her little room. Let's do it. What
<v Speaker 2>Outdoor Apparel Company is known mostly for its footwear, especially
<v Speaker 2>they're big yellow boots that have become a global pop
<v Speaker 2>culture icon.
<v Speaker 11>They count yeah, uh hunter, Hunter.
<v Speaker 2>All right, here's your second question. What was the name
<v Speaker 2>of Ross's monkey on the show Friends?
<v Speaker 12>Oh my god, is uh Marcel Marcel?
<v Speaker 2>Your third question? What Marvel film features a snap that
<v Speaker 2>wipes out half of the universe?
<v Speaker 11>Infinity end games or the vendors end games?
<v Speaker 2>Sorry, m Josh, look that one up while we're doing this.
<v Speaker 2>What social media platform was originally called musically before being rebranded?
<v Speaker 11>Uh that's no idea. Uh yeah, words are not mate.
<v Speaker 11>Just think of any social media Instagram.
<v Speaker 2>I g got a really loud turn signal, Carrie. All right,
<v Speaker 2>people like turning? All right, here's your final question. What's
<v Speaker 2>the name of the Tonight show band?
<v Speaker 12>I don't see that lately.
<v Speaker 11>Don't wake up this barely A lot of.
<v Speaker 13>A lot of excuses right now.
<v Speaker 2>What are you gonna say?
<v Speaker 11>Jimmy Camel's Friends.
<v Speaker 2>Jimmy Animals friends. Okay, let's get Katie's making her way
<v Speaker 2>back in here. Okay, Hi, Hi, How was your adventure?
<v Speaker 5>It was good? Yes, I made some friends, had some coffee.
<v Speaker 9>All right?

<v Speaker 5>I'm ready?
<v Speaker 2>All right, Katie. What outdoor apparel company is mostly known
<v Speaker 2>for their footwear, specifically their big yellow boot that's become
<v Speaker 2>a global pop culture icon. Big yellow. They're yellow ish.
<v Speaker 5>Outdoor company. I don't know are you talking about uggs?
<v Speaker 5>I don't think so.
<v Speaker 2>God, I want a pair of ugs, but I don't

<v Speaker 9>No way he's making that shape too.
<v Speaker 2>What Marvel film features a snap that wipes out half
<v Speaker 2>of the universe?
<v Speaker 1>Ah?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what the right answer is on this,
<v Speaker 2>and I'll be honest with you.
<v Speaker 5>Marvel. Is that I see?
<v Speaker 2>Don't?
<v Speaker 5>Is it like Iron Man?
<v Speaker 2>Josh? Did you look it up? Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>So what was uh Carrie's answer?
<v Speaker 2>Again? It was Infinity end Game or something.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, so that's where it was confusing than Life disappears
<v Speaker 3>in Avengers Infinity War.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I put down that it's in Infinity War. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>so you're raw.
<v Speaker 12>Oh I'm so ashamed.
<v Speaker 2>Because I was second guessing it because like you were
<v Speaker 2>so like you're the Marvel fan, so I wrote down
<v Speaker 2>in War so you.
<v Speaker 11>Know I have a big fan. I'm sad.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's really embarrassing for you. That's all right, Okay, good,
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad we cleared that up. Fourth question, what social
<v Speaker 2>media platform was originally called musically before it was rebranded?
<v Speaker 5>That's TikTok.
<v Speaker 2>Carry, you said, I g Final question, what's the name
<v Speaker 2>of the Tonight Show band?
<v Speaker 5>Is it not the Tonight Show Band?
<v Speaker 2>And then Carrie said, Jimmy Kimmel's Friends, which is long
<v Speaker 2>anyway because it's Jimmy Fallon anyway, But it is the
<v Speaker 2>roots that the roots is what we're looking for. All right.
<v Speaker 2>So Carrie, you got one. Katie, you got to today too.
<v Speaker 2>You've officially been crushed by Katie for Harry.
