<v Speaker 1>Jary Kady and Josh Mix one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I got a couple of stories about the zers. Gen Z,
<v Speaker 2>you give us so much material. Thank you, guys.
<v Speaker 1>According to a new report, gen zs are trying to
<v Speaker 1>enhance their workplace culture with something that they are calling microjoys.
<v Speaker 3>My job has so many micro joys.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, so like looking on the bright side, but they
<v Speaker 4>gave it a fancy word it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, going, is this great? Because I have micro
<v Speaker 2>journeys on me vision Bird.
<v Speaker 1>So it's small moments throughout the day that make your
<v Speaker 1>work day more enjoyable, productive, and sustainable.
<v Speaker 2>So they surveyed about five hundred.
<v Speaker 1>Zers between the ages of eighteen and twenty five, and
<v Speaker 1>they said taking short breaks makes my work day more
<v Speaker 1>enjoyable and it helps me perform better.
<v Speaker 4>Snacks snacks, hoping they'd be on the list because that
<v Speaker 4>was mine.
<v Speaker 1>Snacks is a micro joy for me. But they have
<v Speaker 1>to be like really small chips, because it's micro joy
<v Speaker 1>stepping outside for fresh air, chatting with your cool coworkers,
<v Speaker 1>or enjoying our favorite beverage.
<v Speaker 3>See little things I like that.
<v Speaker 1>Not completing a task or you know, being with a
<v Speaker 1>company for twenty.
<v Speaker 3>Years, those are just things have to work.
<v Speaker 4>But if you can really have a basket of chips
<v Speaker 4>in the kitchen, if you can enjoy moments like that
<v Speaker 4>throughout the day, I feel like you are living at
<v Speaker 4>life because that is the secret to life. I don't
<v Speaker 4>know if you know this, but is Michael joy enjoy
<v Speaker 4>the passing of time. That is the secret to life
<v Speaker 4>is to be able to really enjoy the moment that
<v Speaker 4>you're in right now, me in this room with you,
<v Speaker 4>two fine gentlemen.
<v Speaker 3>I'm enjoying this. I'm enjoying this.
<v Speaker 1>My moment is when the show's over now I have
<v Speaker 1>to see you till tomorrow morning. That's my micro joy.
<v Speaker 1>When I walk out the front doors, I'm like, no more,
<v Speaker 1>no more.
<v Speaker 3>But you love it, You love it. It's micro joy.
<v Speaker 1>We don't really have a lot of micro joys here though,
<v Speaker 1>do we do?
<v Speaker 3>There are snoopsicles in the freezer right now. That is
<v Speaker 3>a micro.
<v Speaker 1>Jordan that we talked to in our promotions Department's microy.
<v Speaker 4>She's a major joy for me. I love Jordan's. So yeah,
<v Speaker 4>we we have a lot of joy in this building.
<v Speaker 3>You just gotta look for.
<v Speaker 1>I have joy joy joy down in my heart, down
<v Speaker 1>in my heart.
<v Speaker 2>Today, I got another Z story for you.
<v Speaker 1>Uh, the alcohol industry is actually kind of struggling right now.
<v Speaker 1>I saw something about how I was down like eight
<v Speaker 1>hundred billion dollars or something because the zers aren't out drinking.
<v Speaker 2>But they've got a cute little name.
<v Speaker 1>If they do go out and have a cocktail, they
<v Speaker 1>call it sober curious.
<v Speaker 2>I'm just sober.
<v Speaker 3>Curious buzzworthy phrase, so that.
<v Speaker 1>That does mean that generally they're not drinking, but if
<v Speaker 1>they do go out and have something, they're looking for
<v Speaker 1>quality over quantity. So they're gonna go out and they're
<v Speaker 1>curious about what y'all are drinking. But you gotta really
<v Speaker 1>wow me with the cocktail. So it's more of a
<v Speaker 1>high end probably in a fancy glass with a whole
<v Speaker 1>bunch of fruit and a pretty sparkly straw.
<v Speaker 4>Well, and businesses took notice because that's why they're charging
<v Speaker 4>thirty dollars for a cocktail.
<v Speaker 2>Lost revenue.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, Well, and they know that they'll pay for it
<v Speaker 4>because if they're only getting one and it's gotta be
<v Speaker 4>worth it thirty dollars for it.
<v Speaker 1>Today my micro joy was being sober curious.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, but it's funny too, because it's like they know
<v Speaker 4>what they're talking about because they've seen all the warnings
<v Speaker 4>about alcohol. I mean there's one today about regular alcohol
<v Speaker 4>use and how it could ac celebrate brain aging, and
<v Speaker 4>that is by like disrupting your sleep and your brain function.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, anyone knows if you like get a little tipsy, right,
<v Speaker 4>and then you say you pass out, you're really not sleeping.
<v Speaker 3>That is not quality sleep.
<v Speaker 4>You're only passing out, gonna wake up dehydrated, completely worn out. Uh,
<v Speaker 4>And it can really like do damage on all of
<v Speaker 4>the things in your body. And the younger generation figured
<v Speaker 4>that out. I believe it's because the Internet told them
<v Speaker 4>their whole life, right. We didn't necessarily had that. We
<v Speaker 4>had all the commercials telling us how fun it was,
<v Speaker 4>how you're gonna mess out if you don't to the
<v Speaker 4>speech party and everyone's in bikinis, Like you're gonna miss
<v Speaker 4>out on the fun stuff life.
<v Speaker 3>That's what we were told.
<v Speaker 4>They were told that it's gonna shorten their lifespan, that
<v Speaker 4>they're not gonna be and it's expensive, and they listened
<v Speaker 4>because again, yeah, that this new one just coming out,
<v Speaker 4>it's gonna aid your brain way faster than what you think.
<v Speaker 2>It is you stop drinking.
<v Speaker 3>Oh my god, could you imagine?
<v Speaker 1>I'll be honest with you, I've cut out like all alcohol,
<v Speaker 1>and I plan on moving forward here with I don't.
<v Speaker 2>Think I'm gonna honestly drink anymore. Yeah, I don't, really,
<v Speaker 2>I don't. I don't think.
<v Speaker 1>So I've got I've got an anniversary thing planned for
<v Speaker 1>me and Nick Knack that involves me like some wine
<v Speaker 1>tasting and stuff, and I'm trying to decide if I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna even participate, if we're gonna do something else well.
<v Speaker 4>And it's funny just to think about. Like for me,
<v Speaker 4>it'll be nine years since I drank anything.
<v Speaker 3>And I really call.
<v Speaker 4>It the Forest Gump effect because I the more I
<v Speaker 4>did it, the longer I went without it, I realized
<v Speaker 4>how great my body feels.
<v Speaker 3>And I kept telling myself, well, this far.
<v Speaker 1>As well came out that literally is yeah, line.
<v Speaker 3>Kept going with it, and it has just served me
<v Speaker 3>so well.
<v Speaker 2>So the best decision you make.
<v Speaker 1>It's so true, like like when you get to your
<v Speaker 1>advanced age, Katie, there are times when you wake up
<v Speaker 1>in the morning after you've had one too many, and
<v Speaker 1>it truly is like three days of like I am
<v Speaker 1>just off and I don't feel good.
<v Speaker 2>You're dying, and I'm tired of having the recovery time.
<v Speaker 1>I know it doesn't sound cool like, oh, I didn't
<v Speaker 1>go out and party and then get drunk. I just
<v Speaker 1>don't want the recovery time anymore.
<v Speaker 2>I don't have time for that.
<v Speaker 3>You don't even have to be ancient like you, Jeremy,
<v Speaker 3>look at this.
<v Speaker 2>Throwing it back. It's the only thing you're throwing back.
<v Speaker 1>All right, shout out to all the gen Zers listening
<v Speaker 1>this morning. All right, we are going to be talking
<v Speaker 1>about right now the weird things that you've seen at
<v Speaker 1>somebody's house. Phone lines are already ringing. I'm wondering if
<v Speaker 1>we already get calls, and Katie, you've got some stories
<v Speaker 1>to set us up right.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, because that's the thing is you You have heard
<v Speaker 4>some of the things I've seen in men's homes just.
<v Speaker 2>On this show, right generally other women.
<v Speaker 4>We've already talked about the crazy things I've seen, but
<v Speaker 4>I've never alluded to this one, which I don't think.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think you're ready for this, Jeremy, I don't
<v Speaker 4>think you are all right. Hold me back, okay, because
<v Speaker 4>it has kind of set me up for my whole
<v Speaker 4>life to be just anxious about this setting because this happened.
<v Speaker 3>I was like nineteen.
<v Speaker 4>This is before the baby Nanas is before I dated
<v Speaker 4>her dad. I mean, I was young when this happened,
<v Speaker 4>and I was dating this guy named Tanner, right, and
<v Speaker 4>it was time for me to go back to Tanner's
<v Speaker 4>home and see what it was all about. Right, And
<v Speaker 4>I walked into Tanner's room, and I am not kidding.
<v Speaker 4>There is a full replica size thing of a paper
<v Speaker 4>mache tree, right. And in this paper mache tree that's
<v Speaker 4>almost as big as the room. The middle is cut
<v Speaker 4>out right like the hole in the tree. And in
<v Speaker 4>that hole in the tree there is a curtain so
<v Speaker 4>you can pull it back and have your very own
<v Speaker 4>puppet show.
<v Speaker 2>Well you win, We're start out now.
<v Speaker 5>I could not let my words, couldn't come to my face.
<v Speaker 5>I was like what, And here's the story from it.
<v Speaker 5>This is like a childhood thing of Tanner's that.
<v Speaker 4>His mom like he just loved, and his mom and
<v Speaker 4>dad were talking about getting rid of his puppet show
<v Speaker 4>tree and he wasn't having it. So the puppet show
<v Speaker 4>tree to his house and had it in his bedroom.
<v Speaker 5>And then he's like, do you want me to do
<v Speaker 5>a puppet show for you?
<v Speaker 6>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>Like I was just like, did you say yes?
<v Speaker 3>I don't think I came.
<v Speaker 2>I would have said yes all day long.
<v Speaker 4>No no, no, no no. I kind of broke up with
<v Speaker 4>Tanner right then and there. I was just I can't
<v Speaker 4>even come.
<v Speaker 1>I wish you know you should have done is put
<v Speaker 1>a puppet on your handbacker.
<v Speaker 3>I don't anymore.
<v Speaker 7>This is over.
<v Speaker 3>It's not me, it's you and your puppet. Try. It
<v Speaker 3>totally threw me off.
<v Speaker 4>So now anytime I go into a man's room, I'm
<v Speaker 4>just anticipating that there's going to be a paper machee
<v Speaker 4>tree in there with a bunch of puppets.
<v Speaker 2>You get all cry before you even it.
<v Speaker 3>Was so bad.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, set me up for a lifetime of romance fails,
<v Speaker 4>I've learned now in hindsight.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, you're scarred from the paper mache pretty good. Right,
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god, I love that story. That is a
<v Speaker 2>new one.
<v Speaker 3>Thank you for that, one of many, many, many things.
<v Speaker 1>All right, So do you have something that you were like,
<v Speaker 1>what the frick when you walked into somebody's house and
<v Speaker 1>saw it? We want to hear from you guys three
<v Speaker 1>three six nine one, sixteen forty nine. Three oh three
<v Speaker 1>six nine one, sixteen forty nine. There was a Christine
<v Speaker 1>that rode in while we were teasing this and said
<v Speaker 1>she dated a guy who had a fish tank, a
<v Speaker 1>large fish tank in his living room, but it was
<v Speaker 1>completely filled with empty mountain dew cans. She went over
<v Speaker 1>to his house, she was not a fish in site,
<v Speaker 1>but the whole thing was filled with empty mountain dew cans.
<v Speaker 2>That guy is a keeper right there. At least. There
<v Speaker 2>was a Jinny I think your.
<v Speaker 1>Name was Jenny Ginny wrote in as well and said
<v Speaker 1>she was at a friend's house and she went into
<v Speaker 1>the bathroom and he had a full size freezer in
<v Speaker 1>his bathroom for some reason, and he said it wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>fit like down the stairs to his basement or something,
<v Speaker 1>and it had to go in the.
<v Speaker 2>Bathroom, so that's where it goes. So that's where it was.
<v Speaker 1>What did did you see in somebody's house that was
<v Speaker 1>really really weird? Three oh three six nine one, sixteen
<v Speaker 1>forty nine. I'm gonna go ahead and take Danielle's call really
<v Speaker 1>quick because she's.
<v Speaker 2>Been holding the minute.
<v Speaker 1>Hi Danielle, Hi, Hi, good morning. Okay, what did you see?
<v Speaker 6>Okay, Now, this happened when I was in middle school.
<v Speaker 6>I'm like, like over thirty years ago. I'm old. Anyway,
<v Speaker 6>Oh my gosh, this is like the grossest thing ever.
<v Speaker 6>So my sister and I we were going to spend
<v Speaker 6>the night at our friend's house. Right, So we go
<v Speaker 6>over to her house and we're all excited and stuff,
<v Speaker 6>and then she takes us into her room. My sister
<v Speaker 6>and I look at each other like what the heck?
<v Speaker 6>We were freaked out because on her wall, like I'm
<v Speaker 6>serious even telling you this, I'm like, oh, like she
<v Speaker 6>had she had a pair of underwear stapled to her
<v Speaker 6>wall and it looked like she had had her monthly
<v Speaker 6>in them.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, come.
<v Speaker 6>Said serious, no, Las, And my sister said it she
<v Speaker 6>just came out. She was like what the hell is that?
<v Speaker 6>And I was like, I can't believe she said that.
<v Speaker 6>So we were.
<v Speaker 1>Like tiptoe around this because I don't know who's listening,
<v Speaker 1>but keep it PG.
<v Speaker 2>Gross but gross.
<v Speaker 8>It was so gross.
<v Speaker 2>Why did she do that?
<v Speaker 3>The reason she.
<v Speaker 6>Said, because my sister asked, she said it was because
<v Speaker 6>she was so proud of herself. Okay, So I was
<v Speaker 6>like proud of you.
<v Speaker 1>It was like a memory, like she's like I become
<v Speaker 1>a woman maybe type thing.
<v Speaker 6>Yes, so my sister faked being sick and my mom
<v Speaker 6>came to picked us up and we never went over
<v Speaker 6>to our house.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't think i'd have to fake.
<v Speaker 6>That she gave us. There you go.
<v Speaker 1>That's a big Daniel That is almost as shocking as
<v Speaker 1>the paper mache tree. You know, right, I don't even
<v Speaker 1>know if it's beat that, but that's a good one. Danielle,
<v Speaker 1>thank you so much for calling in.
<v Speaker 2>We appreciate you.
<v Speaker 1>What did you see at somebody's house that, like Danielle said, gave.
<v Speaker 3>You the Yeah, that'll do it though.
<v Speaker 1>John said, I went to a co worker's house and
<v Speaker 1>noticed they had over two hundred TV remotes and a
<v Speaker 1>big rubber made bin. They somehow got into collecting TV
<v Speaker 1>remotes from garage sales.
<v Speaker 2>That is very, very weird.
<v Speaker 3>That is weird.
<v Speaker 2>Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, was it Jimmy? They might have been
<v Speaker 2>a Jimmy.
<v Speaker 1>My girlfriend had a giant collection of hotel room bibles
<v Speaker 1>in her place. She admitted that she takes one from
<v Speaker 1>almost every hotel she's ever stayed in. She had stacks
<v Speaker 1>and stacks of Bibles in her room.
<v Speaker 3>That's an ironic thing to steal, isn't it.
<v Speaker 2>That's that's a really, really weird one.
<v Speaker 3>I'm really gonna send today.
<v Speaker 1>Cathy wrote in and said, my boyfriend a long time
<v Speaker 1>ago had a giant map of the United States on
<v Speaker 1>his wall in his apartment, and he had push pins
<v Speaker 1>in it and it marked every taco bell he had
<v Speaker 1>ever eaten. He's looking for some of that diarrhea.
<v Speaker 3>I like that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, phones are ringing, so three O, three, six nine one,
<v Speaker 1>sixteen forty nine. What's the weirdest thing you've seen at
<v Speaker 1>somebody's house? It's mercury, Hi, Mercury.
<v Speaker 9>Hi, guys, good morning, Hey, good morning.
<v Speaker 2>What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen?
<v Speaker 9>Okay, and this is this was when I was little
<v Speaker 9>with my little brother, we used to live with our
<v Speaker 9>aunt and when we first actually went to go walk
<v Speaker 9>into her house for the first time, we had seen
<v Speaker 9>all all her walls, in the bathroom and the kitchen, everywhere,
<v Speaker 9>these porcelain dolls.
<v Speaker 4>No no, no, murder death cute in the bathroom, murder death.
<v Speaker 9>Cue what yes, even in the bathroom. I'm just like
<v Speaker 9>I have my art. Why do you have these everywhere?
<v Speaker 9>You're like, I love having my collection, I love showing
<v Speaker 9>it off. I'm like, well, we don't like it. It's
<v Speaker 9>it's creepy and weird.
<v Speaker 2>It's super creepy.
<v Speaker 9>So I swear I felt like one of them followed
<v Speaker 9>me one day, you know, yeah, actually turned my back.
<v Speaker 1>Well well like in the bathroom too, like all those
<v Speaker 1>eyes looking at Yeah, I think I'd have shy bladder.
<v Speaker 2>I wouldn't be able to go.
<v Speaker 9>When I was tall enough to reach them. I actually
<v Speaker 9>took them off the self, actually threw them in and
<v Speaker 9>I was done that put them back.
<v Speaker 2>You know what's funny.
<v Speaker 1>I was going to ask you if you actually, like
<v Speaker 1>ever took one, like took one home, or hit them
<v Speaker 1>or turn them around, because I totally would.
<v Speaker 9>Other than that, it was like I was afraid to
<v Speaker 9>touch them. I was afraid they were, you know, do
<v Speaker 9>something to me or you know, curse me or something.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I want to talk to Holly here on the
<v Speaker 1>second she's she's holding on the line. In a second,
<v Speaker 1>did your did your aunt?
<v Speaker 9>I'm still here?
<v Speaker 2>Okay?
<v Speaker 6>Yes?
<v Speaker 2>Has she willed down the dolls? What's gonna happen to
<v Speaker 2>the dolls.
<v Speaker 9>I hope that she didn't wiell them down where, because
<v Speaker 9>if you did, I was like, I'm gonna make sure.
<v Speaker 9>I'm im gonna make sure they're buried in the ground.
<v Speaker 3>I buried with you.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's mercury. Thank you so much. That's a very
<v Speaker 1>funny call.
<v Speaker 4>Good one.
<v Speaker 2>Hi Holly called back, Hi.
<v Speaker 1>Holly, hello him.
<v Speaker 2>Well we're really good. I saw your story and I
<v Speaker 2>was bummed that you dropped off.
<v Speaker 1>But please tell us about the weirdest thing you've seen
<v Speaker 1>in somebody's house.
<v Speaker 7>So a while back, I had a friend and they
<v Speaker 7>had a family dog that I was super familiar with,
<v Speaker 7>and I stand up for about fifteen years and.
<v Speaker 8>The dog passed away, and it was it was it
<v Speaker 8>was so sad, and you know, so I had hadn't
<v Speaker 8>gone over there, you know, for like a year, but
<v Speaker 8>I went over to their house and the dog is
<v Speaker 8>sitting on the couch and I'm like, I just kind
<v Speaker 8>of took me aback, and then.
<v Speaker 7>She said, yeah, I had him stuffed, and I just.
<v Speaker 8>He's there sitting on the couch.
<v Speaker 2>No, it is.
<v Speaker 7>Her dog is her dog has been dead for like
<v Speaker 7>a year. She had like had him stuff and just
<v Speaker 7>sitting on her couch.
<v Speaker 8>I've never seen anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>And I was just like, I mean, I get it
<v Speaker 1>if it was your best buddy, and that's like there's
<v Speaker 1>something special about that, But there's also something special about that,
<v Speaker 1>you don't.
<v Speaker 8>I was like, I hope your grandmother is not like
<v Speaker 8>sitting in the other room somewhere.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my, she stuff that's almost as creepy as all
<v Speaker 1>those porcelain dolls staring at you.
<v Speaker 2>I'll tell you that much.
