<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam twenty twenty six is in the books. Overdone,
<v Speaker 1>both nights all wrapped up from Minneapolis. Tonight was night
<v Speaker 1>number two, and we had a night that was better
<v Speaker 1>than Night one. I enjoyed Night two a lot better
<v Speaker 1>than I did Night one, not without its imperfections, of course,
<v Speaker 1>but definitely a step up from what we got. Which
<v Speaker 1>if you would have told me that coming into this weekend,
<v Speaker 1>I would have been like, what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 1>On paper? Night one was much better than Night two.
<v Speaker 1>That's funny how it works out. Sometimes. We had Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns and Seth Rollins in the main event, and we
<v Speaker 1>had fourteen years of history behind this match. This match
<v Speaker 1>was really built around the shield, the symbolism of the shield,
<v Speaker 1>the shared to the back, all the history between these men,
<v Speaker 1>going back to the very beginning. It's all culminating in
<v Speaker 1>this match. Because Roman Reigns could not beat Seth Rawlins
<v Speaker 1>the big stage, whenever there was a championship on the line,
<v Speaker 1>whenever there was like a big, big match, he has
<v Speaker 1>not been able to beat this man. That was the
<v Speaker 1>story coming into this match, and I was of the
<v Speaker 1>belief up until maybe I don't know, a week ago,
<v Speaker 1>ten days ago, see I'm punking Cody Roads. They should
<v Speaker 1>have closed the weekend because that just felt like the
<v Speaker 1>bigger match until we saw the back and forth on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown and everything, and it became very clear to me
<v Speaker 1>last week, I said, you know what, this doesn't really
<v Speaker 1>feel as big as I feel like it should feel.
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Seth has been built up like a major
<v Speaker 1>main event. So I think they got it right as
<v Speaker 1>far as the positioning of the main events. And as
<v Speaker 1>it turned out, the match with Cody and Punk last night,
<v Speaker 1>while it did pick up towards the end, and I
<v Speaker 1>did end up thinking it turned into a good match,
<v Speaker 1>was not as good, not nearly as good as I
<v Speaker 1>was expecting it to be. It was actually quite boring
<v Speaker 1>for the first half Tonight, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>went out there for even longer that match last night
<v Speaker 1>was I think twenty nine minutes. They went out there
<v Speaker 1>for thirty three minutes in the main event tonight. Because
<v Speaker 1>you know, Roman is always going to get as much
<v Speaker 1>time as he needs. They gave him thirty three minutes
<v Speaker 1>in the main event tonight. They went out there and yes,
<v Speaker 1>there were a lot of you know, there was a
<v Speaker 1>lot of finisher spam and they one thing that they
<v Speaker 1>did a lot of, and this is actually a hallmark
<v Speaker 1>of Summer Roman's matches, but it was very apparent watching
<v Speaker 1>this match here tonight was the fact that Roman and
<v Speaker 1>Seth they were using each other's moves. So it's not
<v Speaker 1>enough for Roman to use the spear, then Seth uses
<v Speaker 1>the spear, Roman uses the stomp. We had a lot
<v Speaker 1>of that sort of thing in this match. But I
<v Speaker 1>got to say, you know, Roman's really good. Roman is
<v Speaker 1>really good at doing a Roman reigns match. There's there's
<v Speaker 1>a certain formula to it, and more often than not,
<v Speaker 1>like on a big stage like this Mania Summerslim, it works.
<v Speaker 1>It worked at WrestleMania, you know, he went out there,
<v Speaker 1>would see I'm Punk. They had an excellent Night two
<v Speaker 1>main event, and it worked with Rollins here on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it didn't for everybody, but it did for me.
<v Speaker 1>It certainly resonated more than anything I saw last night,
<v Speaker 1>including Brock and Oba, including Cody and Punk. They went
<v Speaker 1>out there, they had an all timer in the Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slam main event. I say all timer, I don't mean
<v Speaker 1>that it's gonna rank, you know, in my top ten
<v Speaker 1>or anything like that. But in terms of just excellent
<v Speaker 1>summer Slam main events, this one will be up there,
<v Speaker 1>certainly for summer slams over the last decade or so.
<v Speaker 1>And it puts to bed the whole Shield lore once
<v Speaker 1>and for all. I love the symbolism at the very
<v Speaker 1>end when they shared the fist bum and they had
<v Speaker 1>the old shield half mask, the skull mask that they
<v Speaker 1>used to wear. I mean, they look they were putting
<v Speaker 1>on an example for people long before the pandemic recovery.
<v Speaker 1>Half we had the skull masks laying on the floor
<v Speaker 1>in the ring with them. I saw it as kind
<v Speaker 1>of the the symbolism of Dean Ambrose, who couldn't be there,
<v Speaker 1>he was there in spirit, So the masks sort of
<v Speaker 1>represented Ambrose. And there you had rollins, there you had rains,
<v Speaker 1>and so finally we could put the shield in the
<v Speaker 1>rear view. Is this going to be the last time
<v Speaker 1>these two ever stepped in the ring together one on one?
<v Speaker 1>Probably not. It kind of felt like the closing of
<v Speaker 1>that chapter. Though if we do circle back around to
<v Speaker 1>this at some point, it's probably going to be a
<v Speaker 1>very long time, and good it should be a very
<v Speaker 1>long time. We don't need to see Roman and Seth anymore.
<v Speaker 1>They put a nice button on it in that main
<v Speaker 1>event tonight, where Seth Rollins goes. I don't know where
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns goes next. I have a few ideas for
<v Speaker 1>where that may be, and we'll talk about that when
<v Speaker 1>we get towards the end here. But I thought an
<v Speaker 1>excellent main event. The other thing I was looking forward to,
<v Speaker 1>actually the thing I may have been looking forward to
<v Speaker 1>the most, frankly on this night too, Chad Gable was
<v Speaker 1>in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I've been waiting for
<v Speaker 1>Chad Gable as a fan of his work. I've been
<v Speaker 1>waiting for a very long time to see Chad Gable
<v Speaker 1>get what he deserves. And what I felt like this
<v Speaker 1>man was overdue for was to win a championship which
<v Speaker 1>he had never done. Singles. Singles championship he had never
<v Speaker 1>done over a decade in this company, going back to
<v Speaker 1>his days in developmental as part of American Alpha. And
<v Speaker 1>you saw the work that he did in TRIPLEA, you
<v Speaker 1>saw the mask match he had with Kaiser a few
<v Speaker 1>months ago, and everything was just set up perfectly for tonight.
<v Speaker 1>They're in his hometown. He has this Redemption Arc. He's
<v Speaker 1>a babyface again. He's going around completing the twelve Steps
<v Speaker 1>and apologizing to people for past indiscretions. They're trying to
<v Speaker 1>get this clap over that he's doing, the new music.
<v Speaker 1>All of it right. Everything was set up perfectly for
<v Speaker 1>him to walk into his hometown tonight and finally have
<v Speaker 1>that big moment. They had one job, and they did
<v Speaker 1>what they needed to do, and Chad Gable for the
<v Speaker 1>first time in his career, finally the Intercontinental Champion. He
<v Speaker 1>did what Seamus could never do. He won the Icy
<v Speaker 1>title before Seamus Dashy. Seamus will never win the Icy
<v Speaker 1>title now, but he won the Intercontinental Championship. It was
<v Speaker 1>a family affair, his wife, his kids, I think his parents,
<v Speaker 1>they were all there, invited them into the ring. When
<v Speaker 1>the match was over, he got some mic time, like
<v Speaker 1>this was everything that I had hoped it would be,
<v Speaker 1>except for the fact that they only got about as
<v Speaker 1>much time as Oba and Brock did last night in
<v Speaker 1>the main event, which is to say they didn't get
<v Speaker 1>a lot of time for their match. So I wish
<v Speaker 1>I could sit here and tell you that. Oh man,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Gable and Penta, they went out there and
<v Speaker 1>they had like a Match of the Year contender, they
<v Speaker 1>had an all timer at SummerSlam. They didn't. They didn't,
<v Speaker 1>and they didn't have enough time to on a show where,
<v Speaker 1>you know, we have a lot of other things going on.
<v Speaker 1>We have long entrances, and we have long commercial breaks,
<v Speaker 1>and so we can only fit in so much wrestling
<v Speaker 1>on this show. I'm not asking for an overabundance of it.
<v Speaker 1>But if there was one match on this show that
<v Speaker 1>I really wish could have gotten another seven to ten minutes,
<v Speaker 1>it was that one. That's really the only critique of
<v Speaker 1>that match that I have. Those two were unable to
<v Speaker 1>go out there and put on the kind of match
<v Speaker 1>I know they can. But Chad Gable finally got his moment.
<v Speaker 1>Very cool to see Chelsea Green. Speaking of moments, we
<v Speaker 1>had this ladder match for the Interim Women's Championship, and
<v Speaker 1>as big of a moment as it turned out to
<v Speaker 1>be for her here tonight, I stand by what I've
<v Speaker 1>been saying, which is that the Interim Championship is completely unnecessary.
<v Speaker 1>You could have had a big ladder match on this
<v Speaker 1>show to crown a number one contender or something, and
<v Speaker 1>if you wanted to give her that moment. You could
<v Speaker 1>have given her that moment. The way things worked out,
<v Speaker 1>though they opted to go the interim title route. They
<v Speaker 1>chose five women for this match, and of all the
<v Speaker 1>five women in that match, they went with the one
<v Speaker 1>who I expected the least to walk out with the championship.
<v Speaker 1>But I was very happy to see her have her moment,
<v Speaker 1>and that is Chelsea Green. You will not find anybody
<v Speaker 1>in that company with a bad word to say about
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea Green. You will not find very many people whose
<v Speaker 1>opinion I would even care about, who have really a
<v Speaker 1>bad thing to say about Chelsea Green. She's very entertaining.
<v Speaker 1>She's never been positioned at the top of the card
<v Speaker 1>or in the world title mix or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>But she went babyface not that long ago, and the
<v Speaker 1>fans seem to enjoy her. They are entertained by her
<v Speaker 1>and the fans of Minneapolis. And they had about thirty
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the they didn't announce the attendance
<v Speaker 1>on either night, which speaks volumes. I actually think they
<v Speaker 1>had more people in the building for Night one than
<v Speaker 1>they did for Night two, But they had thirty five
<v Speaker 1>thousand whatever it was in the building, and they all
<v Speaker 1>went crazy when Chelsea Green pulled down the interim Women's
<v Speaker 1>Championship that they panned out and they had that wide
<v Speaker 1>shot and everybody is jumping up and down and going nuts,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm sure Matt Cardona was in the back going nuts. Right.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody is happier I'm sure for her than he is.
<v Speaker 1>And it was just a great moment, and it was
<v Speaker 1>a great, you know, crowd pleasing finish to what was
<v Speaker 1>not a very good match. I told you guys coming in,
<v Speaker 1>there's no in betweens on this that ladder match is
<v Speaker 1>either going to turn out to exceed expectations and be
<v Speaker 1>really really good, or it's going to be really really
<v Speaker 1>bad and it's going to be a mess. And for
<v Speaker 1>the most part, that's what it was. But we got
<v Speaker 1>the crowd pleasing finished there. So another moment, right, the
<v Speaker 1>Gable moment, the Chelsea moment. We got more moments on
<v Speaker 1>this show than we did last night. Another moment we
<v Speaker 1>got because we had no title changes at all last night.
<v Speaker 1>Tonight we had a few. One of them was Baron Corbin,
<v Speaker 1>who just came back to the company recently. This was
<v Speaker 1>his first match, his first match back. He was wrestling
<v Speaker 1>for the United States Championship and he is the United
<v Speaker 1>States Champion. I know there's gonna be a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people who scratch their head. Why would they do this?
<v Speaker 1>Why would they take the belt off of Trick and
<v Speaker 1>of all people, put it on Baron Corbin. I don't
<v Speaker 1>mind the move. I actually I didn't just predict it.
<v Speaker 1>I endorsed it. And we'll get into the match and
<v Speaker 1>you know what it can mean and all that. So
<v Speaker 1>that was another moment on this show. But then one
<v Speaker 1>of the bigger, if not the biggest moment on the show,
<v Speaker 1>actually came in the opening contest, and it was the
<v Speaker 1>return of a former I go I was gonna say
<v Speaker 1>former ww champion, but I guess he's never won the
<v Speaker 1>WWE title yet. Yet it may happen. It actually may
<v Speaker 1>finally happen because Kevin Owens. We've been waiting so long
<v Speaker 1>for Kevin Owens to make his return. He's been out
<v Speaker 1>for almost a year and a half. And let me
<v Speaker 1>tell you, my god, if anybody has been missed on
<v Speaker 1>that SmackDown brand, it is Kevin Owens. I've certainly missed him.
<v Speaker 1>That show could certainly use him. And now he's back
<v Speaker 1>and he looks great, looks slimmer right. It looks like
<v Speaker 1>he's dropped some weight. He was added as a last
<v Speaker 1>minute addition to the Number one Contenders match, and Kevin
<v Speaker 1>Owens is going to be challenging CM Punk when we
<v Speaker 1>don't know, but he is next in line now to
<v Speaker 1>challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship. I've been talking
<v Speaker 1>about this for a while. I said, Man, if there's
<v Speaker 1>one match that I have been waiting to see since
<v Speaker 1>Punk came back to the company in twenty twenty three,
<v Speaker 1>it is CM Punk and Kevin Owens. Not only are
<v Speaker 1>we on the precipice of it here, but it will
<v Speaker 1>be for the WWE Championship. And no one is happier
<v Speaker 1>about that than I am. That put a smile on
<v Speaker 1>my face. That was a great way to open the
<v Speaker 1>show today. Another moment the return of Kevin Owens. Last night,
<v Speaker 1>it was the return of Randy Orton. Tonight it was
<v Speaker 1>the return of Kevin Owens, who we actually had wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>Orton didn't wrestle last night. Kevin Owens wrestled on this
<v Speaker 1>show unannounced, unscheduled, not promoted. Nice surprise there for the
<v Speaker 1>fans and the building. Nice surprise for the fans at home.
<v Speaker 1>So again, when I look back at this night too,
<v Speaker 1>there were just more of those moments that I can
<v Speaker 1>look at and say, Okay, this made for a more
<v Speaker 1>enjoyable show than Night one, and I thought the matches
<v Speaker 1>on the whole were better. I thought that you compare
<v Speaker 1>it to like last year, you know what? It reminded
<v Speaker 1>me of actually last year now that I think about it.
<v Speaker 1>The Night two main event at MetLife, John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes. They went out there and then they had
<v Speaker 1>a bad match at WrestleMania, but they went out there
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam. It was like Sina had something to prove
<v Speaker 1>that was actually like his last truly great match of
<v Speaker 1>his career was the one against Cody. They went out
<v Speaker 1>there and had an almost forty minute main event that
<v Speaker 1>was fucking awesome. One of the matches all year. Roman
<v Speaker 1>in Seth was very similar to that. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Seth is going to be, you know, the
<v Speaker 1>match of the year at the end of the year
<v Speaker 1>or anything like that. But they went out there on
<v Speaker 1>Night two and they had this thirty plus minute, you know,
<v Speaker 1>epic encounter that was clearly their goal going out there.
<v Speaker 1>So very similar to Night too of Summer Slim last year,
<v Speaker 1>I would say that this was this Tonight was the
<v Speaker 1>thumbs up show on the whole, which I think makes
<v Speaker 1>it overall the thumbs up Summerslim because I said last
<v Speaker 1>night the show was not bad, it just wasn't all
<v Speaker 1>that good. It was very middle of the road. Last night,
<v Speaker 1>I said six out of ten. I would say with
<v Speaker 1>tonight's show, SummerSlam overall, if I had a I think
<v Speaker 1>it bumps it up to a seven out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>I can't go higher than that, but I think seven
<v Speaker 1>out of ten is fair. So in the end, you know, Summerslim,
<v Speaker 1>it was always going to come down to how much
<v Speaker 1>time do they give the talent to go out there
<v Speaker 1>and do what they need to do. I think that
<v Speaker 1>score would have been a bit higher had some of
<v Speaker 1>those matches been given more time to marinate. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>saying give them too much time, because you can go
<v Speaker 1>overtime and then you kind of lose the crowd. But
<v Speaker 1>like that Gable and Penta match is a prime example
<v Speaker 1>of Man, if those guys just could have had another
<v Speaker 1>five or six or seven minutes to really kind of
<v Speaker 1>whip that crowd into a frenzy, that would have made
<v Speaker 1>it so much better. So if there was one really
<v Speaker 1>noticeable critique, and there is more than one, but if
<v Speaker 1>there's one that really I keep coming back to for
<v Speaker 1>this weekend. You know, these matches, there've got some very
<v Speaker 1>short matches on these shows. I don't want to see
<v Speaker 1>all these matches is going twenty minutes. But the ones
<v Speaker 1>that you would think should get twenty minutes or fifteen minutes,
<v Speaker 1>they didn't get it, you know, they didn't get it,
<v Speaker 1>and they didn't get it for reasons that I don't
<v Speaker 1>think are acceptable. These long extended breaks. And obviously they
<v Speaker 1>have all the commercials and everything, and it's kind of
<v Speaker 1>the era that we're in that never used to be
<v Speaker 1>a thing when it came to the pay per views
<v Speaker 1>in the pl E era, it's no different than a
<v Speaker 1>television show, right. See, it's littered with commercials and you
<v Speaker 1>gotta find time for all that. And I understand it.
<v Speaker 1>We have the elaborate entrances and that takes ten to
<v Speaker 1>fifteen minutes, you know, per match, But you have two nights,
<v Speaker 1>and you would think by having two nights it would
<v Speaker 1>allow them some breathing room to give some of these
<v Speaker 1>matches more time. And there were multiple instances on this,
<v Speaker 1>not just tonight, but really this weekend where I felt like, man,
<v Speaker 1>this thing is just really getting good and then it
<v Speaker 1>was over. That's how I felt with brocket Obal last night.
<v Speaker 1>It was just about to kick into that next gear
<v Speaker 1>and then it was over. It's like, well, there could
<v Speaker 1>have been so much more there, but you'll left some
<v Speaker 1>meat on the bone, but on the whole. I have
<v Speaker 1>to give this weekend a thumbs up. This is your
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam Night two review. It is August second, twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty six. I am a solemn monster. Thank you guys
<v Speaker 1>for the second straight night for hanging out with me.
<v Speaker 1>We had fun last night. Let's have some fun tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I already see some red bombs here. I'm gonna get
<v Speaker 1>to those guys here first, and then I'm gonna get
<v Speaker 1>to your superchats a little bit later on as we
<v Speaker 1>go along. Superchats are open for those who want to
<v Speaker 1>drop some support. If you have questions, comments, what did
<v Speaker 1>you think? How would you great? Night two? Night one?
<v Speaker 1>Let me know so get them on in special donation
<v Speaker 1>amounts we're in the description down below, and welcome to
<v Speaker 1>all of our new subscribers. We recently broke ninety three thousand,
<v Speaker 1>So thank you to all of the new subs and
<v Speaker 1>hit that like button. We are going to spin the
<v Speaker 1>wheel right now, and we're going to find out how
<v Speaker 1>many likes we need on this video to do our
<v Speaker 1>Be the Booker segment. If you've never been a part
<v Speaker 1>of it, it's a lot of fun. I feel like
<v Speaker 1>we had some fun with it last night, some interesting
<v Speaker 1>matchup that we booked four hundred likes. You know what,
<v Speaker 1>I just realized I shouldn't have even bothered spinning the wheel.
<v Speaker 1>I should have just assigned a big number. We're already
<v Speaker 1>at four fifteen, so we have to spin this again
<v Speaker 1>because we've already hit the goal. That's not fair. We
<v Speaker 1>can't do that that happens again. I'm just gonna okay,
<v Speaker 1>all right, So we're gonna put the wheel away. You know,
<v Speaker 1>on like big nights like this, I shouldn't use the wheel.
<v Speaker 1>Say here's what we're gonna do. I'll make the goal
<v Speaker 1>seven fifty. We're going to do that seven hundred and
<v Speaker 1>fifty likes minimum. We hit that, we'll do be the Booker.
<v Speaker 1>That's the goal. Hey, Eric Henry, welcome to the Channel
<v Speaker 1>and all of our other new subs. Uh, but we
<v Speaker 1>had where is it? It just came in? Uh? No message.
<v Speaker 1>But King Nader, King Nator is in with a one
<v Speaker 1>hundred dollars super chat bomb, and we actually had a couple.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, we had a couple of other bombs. I
<v Speaker 1>want to mention them and nimb'll we'll get into it
<v Speaker 1>here Buck that tree Jersey authentic. That's right, thank you
<v Speaker 1>Jersey authentic. But before I went live tonight, Hey, Joshua,
<v Speaker 1>I want to say thank you to josh josh dropped
<v Speaker 1>not one, but two one hundred dollars bombs. Hey, Solo
<v Speaker 1>just wanted to get your thoughts on. Rather than Brock
<v Speaker 1>versus Oba in Helen of Cell should have been Roman
<v Speaker 1>reigns against seth Rawlins inside the cell, with their history,
<v Speaker 1>I think that would have been a good blowoff match
<v Speaker 1>to their feud. Oba and Brock did not need the cell. No,
<v Speaker 1>they didn't, And I had to spend part of my
<v Speaker 1>day batting away. You know a bunch of people who
<v Speaker 1>insisted that I was wrong in my opinion. Apparently I'm wrong.
<v Speaker 1>I don't get the lore. Don't you see what Brock
<v Speaker 1>was trying to do? Solomon, Yes, I do, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't give a shit. The match did not need the cell,
<v Speaker 1>So you're one hundred percent right about that. The idea
<v Speaker 1>of Roman and stepping in the cell, Yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's enough history there. And I'll tell you one thing
<v Speaker 1>I can guarantee you if Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>went with the Helen of Cell stipulation, they would have
<v Speaker 1>made that hell and a cell a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>lot more entertaining than Brock and Oba did in their
<v Speaker 1>match last night. So as Helen of Cell matches go,
<v Speaker 1>we would have gotten a much better one this weekend.
<v Speaker 1>So I agree with you on that one hundred percent.
<v Speaker 1>And then he also says I'm a stone cold e
<v Speaker 1>T and JS Warrior nineteen. I have sent super chats
<v Speaker 1>in the past. I just wanted to thank you and
<v Speaker 1>JD for your coverage of the product in its worst times.
<v Speaker 1>You watch it so I don't have to. When do
<v Speaker 1>you think the product peaked? Oh, after Cody finished his story. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>after WrestleMania forty and that big epic main event, that
<v Speaker 1>was the peak. That was the peak for sure. Right,
<v Speaker 1>They're still doing good business, but they're not doing the
<v Speaker 1>kind of business they were doing a year ago, or
<v Speaker 1>you know, in the aftermath of that wrestle media it
<v Speaker 1>started to trend downward. So but thank you, brother, I
<v Speaker 1>very much appreciate the love. Let's get into the review.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to take you through everything that happened here
<v Speaker 1>in nine two, and again I thank you the nearly
<v Speaker 1>two thousand that are already congregated here with us here
<v Speaker 1>this evening as we Uh boy, I probably should have
<v Speaker 1>set that like skull a little bit higher. Anyway, Night
<v Speaker 1>two opened with a number one contenders match for the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Championship. Now it was supposed to be Sammy Zain
<v Speaker 1>one on one with Finn Balor. Before the match was
<v Speaker 1>about to begin, both men are in the ring. Out
<v Speaker 1>comes Nick Aldis once again the general manager of SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>Because if you didn't see the post show last night,
<v Speaker 1>Triple H he handed him his letter of resignation. Uh
<v Speaker 1>not that Triple H. Oh, I probably got a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of you excited right there. Triple H did not hand
<v Speaker 1>in his letter of resignation. Nick allD Is handed in
<v Speaker 1>his letter of resignation as the SmackDown GM because he
<v Speaker 1>felt like by taking I get taking the match with Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I guess he felt like Triple H
<v Speaker 1>would feel he was derelict in his duties or couldn't
<v Speaker 1>be unbiased from now on. I don't I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what the logic there was, but Triple H ripped it
<v Speaker 1>up and said, you're reinstated. I'm not going to fire you.
<v Speaker 1>I'm I'm not going to or or I'm not going
<v Speaker 1>to accept this resignation. So he's back to being the
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown GM and he walks out on stage and he
<v Speaker 1>announces that in the interest of fairness and doing what
<v Speaker 1>is best for business, there was an addition that he
<v Speaker 1>has made to the following contest. An outwalked Gunther, the
<v Speaker 1>man who beat all this last night in Night one,
<v Speaker 1>which I thought was one of the more enjoyable matches
<v Speaker 1>frankly of Night one. Gunther walks out. He's playing double
<v Speaker 1>duty this weekend. He walks out, he's laughing at all this,
<v Speaker 1>he's mocking the black Eye that all this was sporting.
<v Speaker 1>But he put his hand out for a handshake and
<v Speaker 1>all this shook his hands and down to the ring
<v Speaker 1>goes Gunther. And I'm thinking to myself, you know, it's
<v Speaker 1>only fair if you think about it because he did
<v Speaker 1>fuck this guy over at Madison Square Garden. He interfered
<v Speaker 1>in the tag match. He cost Gunther the chance to
<v Speaker 1>be a part of a World Championship match at Summerslim.
<v Speaker 1>So he's owed a rematch for the title and or
<v Speaker 1>a match I should say for the title. And so
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, all right, all this is making amends for
<v Speaker 1>the mistakes that he's made. It's only fair right you
<v Speaker 1>give gun Through the chance to become number one contender.
<v Speaker 1>But he wasn't done yet. He I never said I
<v Speaker 1>was done adding people here to this match. So this
<v Speaker 1>was a triple threat match for about sixty seconds, and
<v Speaker 1>he goes there's one more name to be added, and
<v Speaker 1>we had the long dramatic pause, and then they play
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens music and all thirty five thousand plus inside
<v Speaker 1>the US Bank Stadium they went crazy. And I had
<v Speaker 1>a big smile on my face because the reports were
<v Speaker 1>out there, and I think Meltzer was the one who
<v Speaker 1>really broke it. In The Observer on Friday said that
<v Speaker 1>it appears to be sources are telling him that both
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are very close to a return.
<v Speaker 1>That was the language he used very close to a return. Well,
<v Speaker 1>we got Randy Yorton on night one, and we got
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens on night too, so I would say that
<v Speaker 1>report was pretty bang on. He comes out, he's definitely
<v Speaker 1>slimmer than the last time we saw him, and the
<v Speaker 1>place is just showering him with love, and he's taking
<v Speaker 1>it all in. Sammy's ain't is in the ring. He
<v Speaker 1>is floored by this. He's not even like expressing happiness
<v Speaker 1>or sadness or anger. He's just stunned. He had no
<v Speaker 1>idea that this was coming. So it's been almost a
<v Speaker 1>year and a half he's been out with or following
<v Speaker 1>nex fusion surgery. I don't think it's quite eighteen months.
<v Speaker 1>They said eighteen months a few times. I'm pretty sure
<v Speaker 1>the last match he had would have been the elimination chamber,
<v Speaker 1>which I think was March first of last year. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think he actually had the surgery even until a
<v Speaker 1>year ago, like in July. But it's been too long.
<v Speaker 1>It's been far too long. So I was very happy.
<v Speaker 1>They showed a woman in the crowd crying and it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't his wife or anything like that, just some random
<v Speaker 1>female fan in the crowd. She was in tears as
<v Speaker 1>she was filming this with her phone. She was so excited.
<v Speaker 1>So Owens took out Balor and gun Through with cannon
<v Speaker 1>balls in the corner, and then he and Zane came
<v Speaker 1>face to face for the first time and the two
<v Speaker 1>of them embraced and then they started firing shots at
<v Speaker 1>each other because they will indeed fight forever. So they're
<v Speaker 1>slugging it out in the middle of the ring. So
<v Speaker 1>when all three opponents ended up on the floor, Owens
<v Speaker 1>went to the top. He took them all out with
<v Speaker 1>a flip dive from the top back inside, Owen's hit
<v Speaker 1>gun Through with a swanton. Owens went for a stunner.
<v Speaker 1>Gunther countered into a sleeper and Sammy and Balor they
<v Speaker 1>broke that up. So then we got a nice exchange
<v Speaker 1>briefly between Gunther and Balor. I would not mind seeing
<v Speaker 1>that as a program coming out of this show. Gun
<v Speaker 1>Through power Balor he locked him in a Boston crab.
<v Speaker 1>Owens broke that up. So then on the ropes, Baalor
<v Speaker 1>tried for a superplex, Owens countered into a twisting Fisherman superplex.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy then dumped Owens out of the ring. He tried
<v Speaker 1>to steal the pin. It did not work. Later on,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy went for the halluva kick to Owens, but Gunther
<v Speaker 1>intercepted him. He was outside and he slid in just
<v Speaker 1>in time to interrupt. He applied the sleeper balor, though
<v Speaker 1>came off the top with a double stump. He covered Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>who was either supposed to kick out or I think
<v Speaker 1>Gunther was supposed to kind of throw an arm over
<v Speaker 1>and break things up. He did, but it was after
<v Speaker 1>the three count, so he did technically get the three count.
<v Speaker 1>The referee had to hold up the count, so you know,
<v Speaker 1>we'll pretend that it wasn't three. Owens had a stunner
<v Speaker 1>on Gunther. He tried for one on Sammy, who countered
<v Speaker 1>into a blue Thunderbob. He tried for another halluva kick. Owens, though,
<v Speaker 1>cut him off with a superkick and then dropped him
<v Speaker 1>with a stunner, and he got the pin to become
<v Speaker 1>the number one contender to the WA title. Excellent sprint
<v Speaker 1>here for an opener and welcome back Kevin Owens. So
<v Speaker 1>not only do we get him back on SmackDown, but
<v Speaker 1>they are not wasting any time in giving us the
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens CM punk match that I've been waiting to
<v Speaker 1>see for a very long time. We're going right to
<v Speaker 1>double jeopardy here. The game just started. We're already in
<v Speaker 1>the final round. And I don't know if they're going
<v Speaker 1>to do it on TV in the next few weeks.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this is something they might want
<v Speaker 1>to save. They don't have another pl this month, and
<v Speaker 1>the next big event quote unquote big event would be
<v Speaker 1>Sunday Night's main event, which is not for another month.
<v Speaker 1>It's not until the Sunday before Labor Day, so I
<v Speaker 1>don't know exactly what the day. I mean. I assume
<v Speaker 1>it's not going to be this Friday. I hope not,
<v Speaker 1>although I'll tell you what, boy, would that be in line? Right?
<v Speaker 1>Because if they did a WWE title match on SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>this Friday, that would be the third time this year
<v Speaker 1>I would be missing one for a House of show.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I should be expecting it to take place on Friday.
<v Speaker 1>They would do that. Hopefully they delay it to the
<v Speaker 1>following Friday. If they're gonna do it on TV, Sammy's ain. Look,
<v Speaker 1>it feeds into this new gimmick, right justice for Sammy.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy once again gets screwed. This was supposed to be
<v Speaker 1>a singles match. He was already pissed that he even
<v Speaker 1>had to do this match in the first place, and
<v Speaker 1>then at the very last minute he's already in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and all this adds two more people to the match.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, everything Sammy says is right. He has been
<v Speaker 1>screwed over time and time again. I stand with Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>So I mean, his crusade will continue, his crusade for justice.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if you know, it would be interesting
<v Speaker 1>to see the interaction between him and Owens come smack
<v Speaker 1>down on Friday. My only critique, and this is again
<v Speaker 1>my overall critique of a lot of different matches this weekend,
<v Speaker 1>but especially this match. Here they went eight minutes. I
<v Speaker 1>could have used another ten from these guys. Give me
<v Speaker 1>another eight to ten minutes from these four. Look at
<v Speaker 1>the four guys you had in this match. You had Gunther,
<v Speaker 1>you had Balor, you had Owens, you had Zane. You
<v Speaker 1>give them eight minutes this this went far too short.
<v Speaker 1>I was wanting more from these guys. That's really the
<v Speaker 1>only critique I have. Otherwise, I thought this was an
<v Speaker 1>excellent opener. Look, get Richie rich over here dropping all
<v Speaker 1>this money on me. Hey, I just want you to
<v Speaker 1>know this from earlier. I think you rock. I don't
<v Speaker 1>mean the rock a rock, you rock. And I just
<v Speaker 1>wanted you to know that. There he is, King King
<v Speaker 1>Nader dropping a bomb, no message, just wanted to show
<v Speaker 1>some love. Hey, who's that commissioner guy being pushed around here?
<v Speaker 1>I don't like that. I think that guy should stand
<v Speaker 1>up for himself. What do you think? There you go? Say?
<v Speaker 1>There you go. You got to stand up for yourself.
<v Speaker 1>You got it. Sometimes you just have to fight back.
<v Speaker 1>When life wants to fight you, you gotta say fuck you
<v Speaker 1>and fight back. I like that guy. So the next match,
<v Speaker 1>we had Trick Williams defending the United States Championship against
<v Speaker 1>Baron Corbin in Baron Corbin's first match in a WWE ring.
<v Speaker 1>Since when was he released? Twenty twenty four? Right, he's
<v Speaker 1>been gone for a couple of years. I think you
<v Speaker 1>know who else was back? He's been missing for the
<v Speaker 1>last few weeks. Lil YACHTI he was back. He got
<v Speaker 1>his own entrance too, came out on stage, and it
<v Speaker 1>was very brief. He came out to introduce Trick Williams
<v Speaker 1>so early on here Trick pulled out a slim gym table.
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking like the first minute or two of the match,
<v Speaker 1>he went to the floor and he pulls out a
<v Speaker 1>slim gym table, and I was fuse because first of all,
<v Speaker 1>the match just started, and second of all, it is
<v Speaker 1>not a notice qualification match, so I wasn't quite sure
<v Speaker 1>why we were already getting tables in this match, But
<v Speaker 1>it was to set up a very dumb spot at
<v Speaker 1>the finish with Little Yachti. But because Trick was fots
<v Speaker 1>and around outside with the table, he ended up getting
<v Speaker 1>caught by Corbin with a deep six on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>So Corbin got in Yati's face outside he shoved him down.
<v Speaker 1>Yachti grabbed his trusty kendo stick and Corbin retreated back
<v Speaker 1>into the ring where Trick was waiting for him. So
<v Speaker 1>we got a leaping neck breaker and a bookend for
<v Speaker 1>a two count Yadi then hit Corbin with a kendo
<v Speaker 1>stick from the floor as he was running the ropes,
<v Speaker 1>and the referee didn't see it. A little bit later on,
<v Speaker 1>Corbyn grabbed the US title and Yadi confronted him and
<v Speaker 1>Trick nailed him, or Trick nailed Corbyn. That is not YACHTI,
<v Speaker 1>but in doing so, because Corbyn was out on the
<v Speaker 1>apron and YACHTI was on the apron. Trick nails Corbin,
<v Speaker 1>Corbin nails Yadi. Yadi goes flying off the Apron through
<v Speaker 1>a table, the slim gym table that I mentioned from earlier,
<v Speaker 1>and I say he went through the table kind of
<v Speaker 1>so when he collided with the table on the way down,
<v Speaker 1>the table did technically break, but he didn't really go
<v Speaker 1>through it so much as he bounced and rolled off
<v Speaker 1>of it. You know what, it actually reminded me of,
<v Speaker 1>and it wasn't nearly as bad. It reminded me of
<v Speaker 1>Stokely Hathaway and the spot from the FTR match with
<v Speaker 1>the Bang Banggang at World's End last year where Stokely
<v Speaker 1>got bumped off the Apron and he literally bumped off
<v Speaker 1>of the table. There was a table on the floor.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think the table broke at all. He literally
<v Speaker 1>bounced and slid off of it. He took this horrible
<v Speaker 1>bump to the floor. This wasn't quite that bad, but
<v Speaker 1>watching Yati kind of bounce off the table, it reminded
<v Speaker 1>me very much the first thing I thought of with Stokely.
<v Speaker 1>It's a Trick. He looks shocked. Yeah, he's looking down
<v Speaker 1>at YACHTI. He's very like, oh my god, I can't
<v Speaker 1>believe this happened. And off that distraction, Corbyn grabs the
<v Speaker 1>US title and he blasts Trick in the head with it.
<v Speaker 1>The referee was focused on YACHTI, so he didn't see it.
<v Speaker 1>Corbin followed up with the end of Days, and I
<v Speaker 1>knew right then and there the match was over because
<v Speaker 1>the end of Days is the most protected move in
<v Speaker 1>all of wrestling. I've only ever seen somebody kick out
<v Speaker 1>of it once, and that was Drew MacIntyre at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>That's it. The most protected finish in wrestler. We don't
<v Speaker 1>have too many of those these days. Unfortunately, we are
<v Speaker 1>in an era of wrestling in all companies where everybody
<v Speaker 1>kicks out of everything. So there's no finishing move that's
<v Speaker 1>really protected or valued anymore to where when somebody hits it,
<v Speaker 1>it truly is a finish. There really aren't any finishing
<v Speaker 1>moves anymore in wrestling. I think we should stop calling
<v Speaker 1>them finishing moves because more often than not, they don't
<v Speaker 1>finish anybody, you know, when it takes Cody Rhodes three
<v Speaker 1>times to hit a crossroads and be able to pin somebody.
<v Speaker 1>Can you really call the crossroads his finishing move. It's
<v Speaker 1>a move, it's one of his signature moves, but can
<v Speaker 1>we really call it a finishing move. I don't think so.
<v Speaker 1>The end of days, though, that's a finishing move. And
<v Speaker 1>so he wins the United States Championship second straight match
<v Speaker 1>of less than ten minutes here on this show. I
<v Speaker 1>thought the match was It was decent. Yeah, it was
<v Speaker 1>decent to best. Honestly, I felt the same way about
<v Speaker 1>Trick's match with Sammy that WrestleMania. It was okay, you know,
<v Speaker 1>but it really wasn't anything special. I'm still waiting for
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams to have that one match on the main
<v Speaker 1>roster that really grabs my attention and I can look
<v Speaker 1>at it and go, wow, Okay, that's the best match
<v Speaker 1>I've seen him have so far here on the main roster.
<v Speaker 1>He hasn't had it yet. I don't know who it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be against. I don't know how much longer
<v Speaker 1>we have to wait to see it. You know. I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't say Trick is terrible, but he's clearly not as
<v Speaker 1>advanced in the ring as a lot of the other
<v Speaker 1>people that we have seen, you know, gotten called up
<v Speaker 1>over the last couple of years. So again, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it was decent to best, but it was Corbin's first
<v Speaker 1>match back, and so why would you beat him? You know,
<v Speaker 1>why even put him in this position if you're just
<v Speaker 1>going to have him go in there and lose. So
<v Speaker 1>I felt like him winning. That's why I said coming
<v Speaker 1>into the show, Corbyn will win the US title because
<v Speaker 1>it just made sense to me. Now you could say,
<v Speaker 1>well that's you know, why would you end Trick's rain,
<v Speaker 1>Why would you have him lose to Baron Corbyn of
<v Speaker 1>all people? Well, because Corbyn's the one they've chosen to
<v Speaker 1>go with as the heel for him to chase. And
<v Speaker 1>I think Trick and Chase mode works. I think now
<v Speaker 1>that Corbyn has the championship, you have Trick and you
<v Speaker 1>have Carmelo Hayes in Chase mode. And yes, I'm throwing
<v Speaker 1>Carmelo Hayes in there because he needs to be a
<v Speaker 1>part of this. He wasn't on the car tonight, which
<v Speaker 1>was ridiculous. Hopefully that just means they're saving him to
<v Speaker 1>kind of reinsert him into things now starting on Friday,
<v Speaker 1>coming out of this show. Only now the title is
<v Speaker 1>on you know, the heel, and he's gonna have to
<v Speaker 1>fight Trick for that spot, and maybe at the next
<v Speaker 1>pl we end up getting a triple threat with all
<v Speaker 1>three involved. Even Corbin himself on social media was agreeing
<v Speaker 1>with fans and saying, hey, he should be a part
<v Speaker 1>of this match. Carmelo Hayes should be a part of
<v Speaker 1>this match, but he wasn't, so now they can chase
<v Speaker 1>for it. But here's here's the better reason that I'm
<v Speaker 1>very happy that Baron Corbin won that championship tonight because
<v Speaker 1>now he can shave that shit off the belt. He
<v Speaker 1>looked completely ridiculous when he won this title and he
<v Speaker 1>was holding it up and it's got all the fur
<v Speaker 1>like off the sides of it, and if Trick is
<v Speaker 1>holding it a fit, it's the gimmick. But for Baron
<v Speaker 1>Corbin to be standing there with that belt, he looked,
<v Speaker 1>it looked preposterous. So I hope the first thing we
<v Speaker 1>see him do on Friday is he shows up on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown and he gives that belt a haircut. That's the
<v Speaker 1>first order of business. Come smack Down. No more furry belt. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>no more furbies on the show. Then we had the
<v Speaker 1>five way ladder match to crown an interim women's champion
<v Speaker 1>because Rhea Ripley is hurt and they're too afraid to
<v Speaker 1>take the title off of her. She is uber protected here.
<v Speaker 1>We don't want to take the championship away from her.
<v Speaker 1>She could be back any week. So instead we're going
<v Speaker 1>to create this fake belt, which again we already have
<v Speaker 1>the one fake belt, but this is even more fake.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to create another fake belt here and have
<v Speaker 1>a pretend champion until the real champion is able to
<v Speaker 1>come back. And we had qualifying matches on TV, and
<v Speaker 1>so we ended up with Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratt,
<v Speaker 1>Minnesota's own Tiffity Stradden, and we had Chelsea Green and
<v Speaker 1>we had Lash Legend who beat Julia in two minutes
<v Speaker 1>flat on SmackDown this past Friday. I wonder how the
<v Speaker 1>cookies and cakes were in catering backstage. I'm sure Julia
<v Speaker 1>was back there tonight. Perhaps she can maybe start a
<v Speaker 1>food blog. Maybe she could start like a food vlog
<v Speaker 1>on her ig stories or TikTok or something, and she
<v Speaker 1>could take us through all of the different catering options
<v Speaker 1>they have in the back. I would watch that. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Roberts, just subscribe. I think Jeff would watch that too. Jeff,
<v Speaker 1>would you watch Julia since she's not doing much in
<v Speaker 1>the way of wrestling on the actual television show. If
<v Speaker 1>they had Julia do a foodvlog, I would watch that
<v Speaker 1>may as well, if she's not really doing anything else.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, that's how lash Legend qualified here. Not much
<v Speaker 1>of a reaction for Tiffany Stratton coming out. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if it was maybe maybe it came across better
<v Speaker 1>in the building, but I was expecting something, you know,
<v Speaker 1>given that she's a Minnesota girl. Wasn't as loud as
<v Speaker 1>I thought it would be. Jade Cargill came out. They
<v Speaker 1>said she was wearing an outfit that was inspired by
<v Speaker 1>Prince a lot of purple in the outfit. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>that's not what I was really looking at in the outfit,
<v Speaker 1>but she was wearing purple in her outfit. And they
<v Speaker 1>said that Charlotte's gear was a tribute to Scarlett, who
<v Speaker 1>was the little girl with brain cancer that she grew
<v Speaker 1>very close with, who sadly passed away recently. Apparently her
<v Speaker 1>family was in attendance, so I thought that was very cool. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I said earlier coming into this, this is going to
<v Speaker 1>be really good and exceed my expectations, or this is
<v Speaker 1>going to be a mess. There's no one between. This
<v Speaker 1>was largely a mess. It was pretty much in the
<v Speaker 1>line with what I expected it to be. And you
<v Speaker 1>had they said, like Jade for the first time in
<v Speaker 1>a ladder match. Jade had never been in one before.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this was Lash's first ladder match.
<v Speaker 1>It may not have been. Maybe it was, no you
<v Speaker 1>know what I think it was. Lash was in War
<v Speaker 1>Games for the first time last year, so maybe that's
<v Speaker 1>what it was. But anyway, so, yeah, this was a mess.
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany Stratton, she had some of the biggest bumps in
<v Speaker 1>this match. There was one spot that they did where
<v Speaker 1>she was on the ropes with Lash and she went
<v Speaker 1>to go give her a raana off the ropes, and
<v Speaker 1>there was a ladder that had been set below like
<v Speaker 1>a ladder bridge, but it was like a ladder that
<v Speaker 1>they laid flat in between the ropes right below them,
<v Speaker 1>like a little platform, and so instead of Lash going
<v Speaker 1>over for the raana, she held on to Tiffany and
<v Speaker 1>She just power bombed her straight down hard onto the ladder,
<v Speaker 1>and Tiffany took this hillacious bump, bounced off the ladder.
<v Speaker 1>She landed on the mat, rolled out of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and she was screaming in agony. Charlotte climbed the ladder.
<v Speaker 1>This was a few minutes later. This was the other
<v Speaker 1>I guess big Spot, if you want to call it,
<v Speaker 1>that one of them. She's climbing and she grabs the belt.
<v Speaker 1>She's got her hands on the belt, but she's got
<v Speaker 1>to slow herself down, right because the spot was that
<v Speaker 1>Jade and Lash we're gonna each grab one of her legs.
<v Speaker 1>They're gonna pull the ladder away, which they did. Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>is now dangling in the air. Jade is gonna grab
<v Speaker 1>one of her legs. Lash is going to grab the other,
<v Speaker 1>and I think it was the leg that Lash grabbed.
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte has the brace on her knee, so I'm looking
<v Speaker 1>at that brace and I'm like, oh, God, Like, if
<v Speaker 1>they pull her down, I hope the plan is not
<v Speaker 1>for her to just come straight down on her legs
<v Speaker 1>because she's got that fucking brace on. You know, she's
<v Speaker 1>had the knee problems before. The spot was that they
<v Speaker 1>were going to yank her down and they would catch her.
<v Speaker 1>That was the idea. I will say, this could have
<v Speaker 1>This could have ended a lot worse. They didn't really
<v Speaker 1>catch her, you know, cleanly. She still kind of lands
<v Speaker 1>that on her feet a little bit. They kind of
<v Speaker 1>caught her. At least they avoided catastrophe, because, like I said,
<v Speaker 1>this could have ended very badly. But they catch her,
<v Speaker 1>and so Jade has her, and Jade basically sort of
<v Speaker 1>swings her into lash and Charlotte ended up getting slammed
<v Speaker 1>on another ladder that was leaned up in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>and then she rolled out of the ring. Stratton climbed
<v Speaker 1>the ladder. She was reaching up for the championship. She
<v Speaker 1>was right there. Chelsea Green rolls into the ring and
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany looks down at Chelsea and Chelsea looks up at her. Right.
<v Speaker 1>They've been they've become friends in recent months. And Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>tips the ladder over, and when she tips the ladder over,
<v Speaker 1>Stratton flies down to the other three women who were
<v Speaker 1>all congregated outside below, basically did a cannon ball and
<v Speaker 1>everyone in the pilo is down. So now the crowd
<v Speaker 1>is loudly behind Chelsea green because they realize, oh shit,
<v Speaker 1>everyone's down. This is her chance, this is her moment.
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea could do this. Holy shit. And Chelsea begins to climb,
<v Speaker 1>and you hear the booze because here come the batties.
<v Speaker 1>B Fab and Meechen come down to the ring. Nobody
<v Speaker 1>wanted to see Beefab or Mechin in this match, so
<v Speaker 1>they come down and they stop Chelsea from climbing, and
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea gets caught in between the rungs of the ladder
<v Speaker 1>and they hang her upside down basically like at a
<v Speaker 1>tree of woe, but in the ladder, and they start,
<v Speaker 1>you know, putting the boots to her and working her
<v Speaker 1>over while she's hanging upside down. So they helped Jade
<v Speaker 1>back into the ring. They try to help Jade climb
<v Speaker 1>this ladder. Charlotte gets back into the ring, she takes
<v Speaker 1>out Beefab, she takes out Meechin. Charlotte eventually joins Jade
<v Speaker 1>on the ladder right there on opposite sides. Now Here
<v Speaker 1>comes Tiffany and here comes Lash, so they joined them.
<v Speaker 1>They end up getting knocked off, and then Flare and
<v Speaker 1>Jade they took this kind of awkward bump. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what they were trying to do, but they kind
<v Speaker 1>of they went flying off the ladder at the same time.
<v Speaker 1>Down below. It was just a very weird bump. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know how else to really describe it. It was
<v Speaker 1>just a weird bump and a weird landing. Chelsea is
<v Speaker 1>still now the only one in the ring, but she's
<v Speaker 1>still hanging upside down in between the rungs of the ladder,
<v Speaker 1>and everyone's cheering for her and they're chanting her name,
<v Speaker 1>and all of a sudden, Chelsea she sits up and
<v Speaker 1>everyone's going crazy and she starts climbing the ladder. There's
<v Speaker 1>nobody else around. Chelsea reaches up and she pulls down
<v Speaker 1>the championship and again they got that wide shot and
<v Speaker 1>everybody is jumping up and down and going crazy. It
<v Speaker 1>reminded me of I just watched this not that long ago.
<v Speaker 1>They actually have had some summer slim marathons that they
<v Speaker 1>have been running on their Vault channel on YouTube, so
<v Speaker 1>it was probably on there. I saw the Rock Triple
<v Speaker 1>H ladder match for Madison Squarego, which was a much
<v Speaker 1>better match, by the way, but the finish was very
<v Speaker 1>similar in that you have this babyface and the fans,
<v Speaker 1>you're cheering for him, and he's reaching up and he
<v Speaker 1>grabs the belt, and as soon as he pulls the
<v Speaker 1>belt that you just see everybody in the background just
<v Speaker 1>go nuts, right, They start jumping up and down. They
<v Speaker 1>had more people in the building here than they did
<v Speaker 1>in Madison Square Garden that night. But that was a
<v Speaker 1>much better match than this one. But it was just
<v Speaker 1>a great moment. And Chelsea is sitting on top of
<v Speaker 1>the ladder and she's got the title. And again, I
<v Speaker 1>wish I could tell you that the match itself was better,
<v Speaker 1>but it really wasn't. It really was, and it was
<v Speaker 1>not a great match. I was happy for Chelsea. That'll
<v Speaker 1>see here get that moment. Now. Of course, it's only
<v Speaker 1>an interim title, so I'm not even sure that it
<v Speaker 1>will officially count. I mean, did they address that on commentary?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they didn't. I missed it. But do we know
<v Speaker 1>if they're actually going to ignowl like when she inevitably
<v Speaker 1>faces Rhea Ripley and loses, will Chelsea Green go down
<v Speaker 1>in the record books as a former WWE Women's Champion.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. She shouldn't. That's not usually how this
<v Speaker 1>interim stuff is supposed to work. But see, now you're
<v Speaker 1>kind of muddying things up a little bit. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>they'll have to clarify that, I think. I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>you and I both know inevitably how this ends. The
<v Speaker 1>only way this doesn't end in Chelsea Green losing to
<v Speaker 1>Rhea Ripley when Ripley comes back is if the fans
<v Speaker 1>really take to Chelsea in a way that they've never
<v Speaker 1>taken to her before and they start to rally behind her,
<v Speaker 1>which is gonna be tough, just because like the fans
<v Speaker 1>love Rhea, Rhea is still super super popular, so I
<v Speaker 1>don't think they're gonna turn on Ria per se, but
<v Speaker 1>they would have to really really like Chelsea enough to her.
<v Speaker 1>When she shows up on TV this week, the people
<v Speaker 1>are just chanting her name NonStop, and they pop for
<v Speaker 1>her and they're loud for her, and they won't even
<v Speaker 1>let her speak when she tries to cut a promo
<v Speaker 1>because they should be giving her promo time. And it's
<v Speaker 1>going to have to be that way every single week.
<v Speaker 1>Everywhere they go. There has to be this like ground
<v Speaker 1>swell of support for this woman, and then maybe that
<v Speaker 1>opens their eyes to like, hey, wait a minute, here,
<v Speaker 1>we got we got something here. You see this, Michael, Hey, Michael,
<v Speaker 1>take a look at this, Look at Chelsea, and there's
<v Speaker 1>just this ground swell of support, and maybe they say,
<v Speaker 1>maybe we'll keep the belt on her a little bit longer.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe we'll have her beat Rhea win the actual title,
<v Speaker 1>and then we'll circle back to Riha at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Very unlikely, very unlikely, because I think they have their
<v Speaker 1>eyes on Crown Jewel in a few months. You know,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think we have an official date for it yet,
<v Speaker 1>but they have their Crown Jewel Championships. They do it
<v Speaker 1>every year, so we're likely going to get it October November,
<v Speaker 1>you know, sometime around then, and it's champion against champion,
<v Speaker 1>And I just don't think that they want Chelsea Green
<v Speaker 1>to be their WWE Women's Champion against liv Morgan or
<v Speaker 1>whoever the champion is going to be at that time.
<v Speaker 1>They're gonna want Rhea Ripley in that spot. And if
<v Speaker 1>she's healthy and she's able to work, I mean, it's
<v Speaker 1>not gonna be anybody else, But that's the only way
<v Speaker 1>you want to get their attention. Hey, Triple H said
<v Speaker 1>it last night in the post show scrum. He went off, well,
<v Speaker 1>get yourself over right, we gotta listen to the crowd,
<v Speaker 1>get yourself over Okay, great, Let's see what happens. Because
<v Speaker 1>if the crowds really start chanting Chelsea Chelsea, and they're
<v Speaker 1>like up for her when she's out there, won't even
<v Speaker 1>let her speak, you would think that in the back
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna hear that. And then we'll see. We'll see
<v Speaker 1>if they practice what they preach. We'll find out. But
<v Speaker 1>it just seems very unlikely to me. So if you're
<v Speaker 1>a Chelsea Green fan, my recommendation to you would be
<v Speaker 1>enjoy this while it lasts, because this may be as
<v Speaker 1>good as it gets. Very unlikely that this is going
<v Speaker 1>to last for too much longer. I want to say, welcome,
<v Speaker 1>my boy. I was just going to welcome everybody who's here. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>King Solomon, I see your brother. Thank you for the love.
<v Speaker 1>Fuck that tree was a wonky super chat there, Hey
<v Speaker 1>death Si, thank you. Welcome to the twenty three hundred
<v Speaker 1>that we have in here with us, not the twenty
<v Speaker 1>three hundred arena in Philadelphia, the twenty three hundred in
<v Speaker 1>this live chat. What did I say? The goal was
<v Speaker 1>seven fifty. We already beat it, man, I should have
<v Speaker 1>raised it. I'm going to raise it to nine hundred.
<v Speaker 1>How about that. I'm like Nick All adding people to matches. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>this is in interesting, says hey, Solo watch Summer Slim
<v Speaker 1>in the Dome at is it cos It's Cosm? Right,
<v Speaker 1>It's not Cosum. It's Cosm in the Dome at Cosm
<v Speaker 1>A cool experience. Everyone loved rollins and rains, including me,
<v Speaker 1>But I feel it went a few minutes too long
<v Speaker 1>at the end. Yeah, I mean that's fair, that's fair.
<v Speaker 1>I mean I really enjoyed the match. Also. Yeah, every
<v Speaker 1>time they show Cosm on that big screen and they
<v Speaker 1>have like special cameras for it where like brings you
<v Speaker 1>into the ring, it looks really cool. They don't have
<v Speaker 1>that New York though, they have one. They said in
<v Speaker 1>Atlanta they have one. I think in Dallas, maybe Vegas.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know where else they have those. They had
<v Speaker 1>one in New York. I mean maybe I would. I
<v Speaker 1>probably wouldn't. I have to be here, but I would
<v Speaker 1>love to check that out one day. But I just
<v Speaker 1>don't have any of those around here. So but thank you, brother,
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate the love. Just like Solo to be moving
<v Speaker 1>the goal posts, I'm telling you that's the new goal.
<v Speaker 1>We just hit eight hundred, nine hundred. Did I say
<v Speaker 1>nine hundred? I meant a thousand. A thousand likes is
<v Speaker 1>the goal. A thousand likes is easily attainable. Come on,
<v Speaker 1>you'll notice I'm doing everything in my power to avoid
<v Speaker 1>talking about this next match. How's the weather by the way, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the weather's been awfully hot here in New York even now.
<v Speaker 1>You know I turned the AC off before. It's like
<v Speaker 1>seventy eight degrees outside. Still, yeah, it's a little uh,
<v Speaker 1>it's a little humid, you know, But uh, all right,
<v Speaker 1>I guess I have to get to this match. We
<v Speaker 1>had Dan Housen against Dominic Mysterio in a human monies
<v Speaker 1>on a pole match. Yes, think of all the names
<v Speaker 1>that were left off the Summer Slam card this year.
<v Speaker 1>Sitting in the back watching Dan Housen and Dominic Mystery
<v Speaker 1>with a human money bag on a pole, can only
<v Speaker 1>imagine what must have been going through their heads. They
<v Speaker 1>had a pole in the corner and it actually was
<v Speaker 1>not terribly high. I feel like dom probably could have
<v Speaker 1>just reached He could have just stood on the ground
<v Speaker 1>in the corner and reached up and probably grabbed the bag,
<v Speaker 1>but the white bag had a dollar sign on it,
<v Speaker 1>just so we knew that there was money in there.
<v Speaker 1>And that was hanging in the corner with the one
<v Speaker 1>hundred thousand dollars that Dan Housen allegedly stole from the
<v Speaker 1>judgment day many many, many, many many many weeks ago.
<v Speaker 1>This story's been going on for quite some time. So
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen made his entrance in his little dan Housen
<v Speaker 1>Mobile and then he made his way down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Dan Housen he was able to avoid a six y
<v Speaker 1>one nine early in this match, and he Ray dropped
<v Speaker 1>Ray dropped Dom with a souplex. Dom came back though
<v Speaker 1>with the three Amigos. Yeah, when he was doing the
<v Speaker 1>three amigos, it really hit me. They're in Minneapolis. That's
<v Speaker 1>where Eddie died. He died in a hotel room in Minneapolis.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, Dan Housen started to climb. JD. McDonough runs out,
<v Speaker 1>we are two minutes into this match and already we
<v Speaker 1>are getting the run ins, and I'm okay with that
<v Speaker 1>because that tells me that this match is not going
<v Speaker 1>to be going for much longer, which would be great news.
<v Speaker 1>So McDonough runs into the ring to cut him off,
<v Speaker 1>and then all of the mini houses show up, so
<v Speaker 1>they climb into the ring and they attack JD and
<v Speaker 1>he's fighting him off. And then we had another one,
<v Speaker 1>and this one they referred to as Torrito Housen. Now
<v Speaker 1>Elle Turito is awesome, like as a wrestler, he's great,
<v Speaker 1>and so he was doing some spots in there with McDonough.
<v Speaker 1>McDonough was selling for him. There was like a spike
<v Speaker 1>DDT spot where he sold it like death. So he's
<v Speaker 1>actually quite great tourto We don't get to see him
<v Speaker 1>as much anymore, but there was a spot here where
<v Speaker 1>he sent McDonough out of the ring with Irana and
<v Speaker 1>then Torito Housen he hits the ropes, he comes off,
<v Speaker 1>he does a topay out of the ring, a low
<v Speaker 1>to pay obviously, and he does the topay out of
<v Speaker 1>the ring and he goes face first into the barricade.
<v Speaker 1>Now he hit the move, but just the momentum sent
<v Speaker 1>him face first careening into the barricade, almost knocked himself out.
<v Speaker 1>If you would have done I would have pissed myself laughing.
<v Speaker 1>So Dan Housen tried to go from the money again.
<v Speaker 1>McDonough stopped him. Then we hear say his name. He
<v Speaker 1>appears Joe Hendry. Was this his summer slim debut? I
<v Speaker 1>believe it was. So Joe Hendry comes out, He's got
<v Speaker 1>a guitar with him. McDonough meets him in the aisleway
<v Speaker 1>of the ramp whatever it was, and he breaks the
<v Speaker 1>guitar across mcdonnaugh's back, which was very dangerous to do
<v Speaker 1>over there because when the guitar shattered, pieces of it
<v Speaker 1>flew into the crowd. Hopefully they didn't blind anybody splintered
<v Speaker 1>off into the audience. So Dan Housen in the mysteria,
<v Speaker 1>they're they're trying to climb in the corner of the
<v Speaker 1>ring where the pole is, and he crotches dan Hausen.
<v Speaker 1>So dan Hausen is sitting right on the top rope
<v Speaker 1>and now Dom's got a clear path. All he's got
<v Speaker 1>to do is reach up and he's got to grab
<v Speaker 1>the sack. Dan Hausen is looking at him and he goes,
<v Speaker 1>you ah, cursed, and then Pyro shoots up from the
<v Speaker 1>ring post, blinding Dom, who falls down to the match.
<v Speaker 1>And then dan Housen reaches up and he grabs the
<v Speaker 1>human monies to win the match, and when the match
<v Speaker 1>was over, Dan Housen went around ringside with the Minie
<v Speaker 1>Housens and Joe Hendry and they threw the money out
<v Speaker 1>to the crowd and it wasn't real money. It was
<v Speaker 1>Dan housend dollars or whatever he calls it. And that's
<v Speaker 1>how things ended. And the best thing I can say
<v Speaker 1>about this is they kept it short. But then again,
<v Speaker 1>they kept most of the matches on this show short.
<v Speaker 1>This was not exclusive to this match, But I don't
<v Speaker 1>think I would have been able to accept them having
<v Speaker 1>given this match ten minutes or more if it would
<v Speaker 1>have gone that long. Can you imagine they would have
<v Speaker 1>given this match longer than Gable and Penta like that?
<v Speaker 1>That would have been unacceptable. As it was, this match
<v Speaker 1>went about six minutes, so at least they kept it
<v Speaker 1>short six or seven minutes, maybe maybe it was seven.
<v Speaker 1>We knew what this was gonna be. We knew what
<v Speaker 1>this was going to be. This was gonna be the
<v Speaker 1>silly match of the night, and we were going to
<v Speaker 1>get JD McDonough and we were going to probably get
<v Speaker 1>Joe Hendry after that stupid segment they did on Monday
<v Speaker 1>where we're going to get the mini houses. Maybe there'd
<v Speaker 1>be some surprise person popping up. I guess they completely
<v Speaker 1>abandoned the whole thing of who's under the sheet in
<v Speaker 1>the laboratory. I guess that's out the window. But this
<v Speaker 1>was exactly what you know you had to expect that
<v Speaker 1>it would be. Mcdonoughh tried to make this as entertaining
<v Speaker 1>as he could. Tarto, Hey, Tarto's great, But you know,
<v Speaker 1>other than that, what's to say? What's left to say
<v Speaker 1>about this? The fact that this feud is even still going,
<v Speaker 1>Like he took the bag of money. Are we supposed
<v Speaker 1>to believe that that's it, the story's over. Until I
<v Speaker 1>see evidence of this, I'm going to assume that the
<v Speaker 1>feud is going to continue because this should have been over.
<v Speaker 1>It's Saturday Night's main event. Instead they dragged it all
<v Speaker 1>the way to summer Slim. I hope it's over. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that it is. If it is over, who
<v Speaker 1>does Dan Housen feud with next? Because you know that
<v Speaker 1>they're not gonna want to take him off TV? Who
<v Speaker 1>gets the feud with Dan Housen? Now? Is dominic buried?
<v Speaker 1>Says Thomas. I don't want to use that word with
<v Speaker 1>I will use that word with Julia. I will not
<v Speaker 1>use that word yet with Dom, but I will say,
<v Speaker 1>you know, a year ago where Dom was compared to
<v Speaker 1>where he is now is quite the fall from grace.
<v Speaker 1>And you can say that about a lot of people.
<v Speaker 1>You can say that about Fatu, you can say that
<v Speaker 1>about bron Breaker. Look at what they had Dom doing
<v Speaker 1>on this show. And he's the Triple A Mega Champion
<v Speaker 1>by the way, who just lost to Dan Housen. Good
<v Speaker 1>luck with Triple Mania. I have nothing else to say
<v Speaker 1>about this. They showed some legends in the front row
<v Speaker 1>or whatever. They were in the crowds. Maybe there wasn't
<v Speaker 1>the front row, but they were in the crowd. They
<v Speaker 1>showed the Killer Bees. They had their masks on, and
<v Speaker 1>then when they introduced them, they pulled the masks up.
<v Speaker 1>So Brian Blair jumping Jim Brunzell. A lot of history
<v Speaker 1>in the Twin Cities from those two, as well as
<v Speaker 1>Greg Ganya who was there, and Molly Holly who works
<v Speaker 1>for them as a producer behind the scenes. She had
<v Speaker 1>her Hall of Fame ring on, and the model Rick
<v Speaker 1>Martell was there. He didn't have the arrogance bottle with him,
<v Speaker 1>but he was kind of he was pantomiming like he
<v Speaker 1>had arrogance. Looking good, looking good, Always good to see
<v Speaker 1>the model. The model should be in the Hall of Fame.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully they will be able to make that work one
<v Speaker 1>of these years. I doubt next year because they're going
<v Speaker 1>to be in Saudi unless they do the Hall of
<v Speaker 1>Fame here in the States before they fly to Saudi,
<v Speaker 1>which they probably should do. But it was good to
<v Speaker 1>see him. Can we get more of this place, Let's
<v Speaker 1>get more legends we of these D list celebrities that
<v Speaker 1>they show. Let's see some more legends. You know, last
<v Speaker 1>night they had Sean Waltman, they showed him, they showed
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy Hart, Dan Spivey, Mark Henry. Let's get more of
<v Speaker 1>the legends. Penta and Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship.
<v Speaker 1>I was a little worried when I saw that this
<v Speaker 1>match was being slotted in the penn ultimate slot here
<v Speaker 1>on this show, right before the main event. I was
<v Speaker 1>a little worried that they were not going to give
<v Speaker 1>it adequate time, And as it turned out, I was right.
<v Speaker 1>They did not get the time that they deserved. Unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>I was hoping that this would go a little bit
<v Speaker 1>longer than it did. But what we did get I
<v Speaker 1>thought was very good. Now Gable's wife and kids, they
<v Speaker 1>showed them in the front row, as were other family
<v Speaker 1>members we were told who were there. Actually, maybe the
<v Speaker 1>people that were in the ring after were in his parents.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he was his in laws. I don't know. But
<v Speaker 1>Penta tried for an early Penta driver and Gable was
<v Speaker 1>able to escape. Gable was able. Hey, that could be
<v Speaker 1>his catchphrase, Gable is able. He escaped, He delivered some
<v Speaker 1>rolling German sup plexes, he went for a moon salt,
<v Speaker 1>Pentado super kicked him in the face right out of
<v Speaker 1>mid air. One of the stories of this match early
<v Speaker 1>on was that Gable had hurt his shoulder and so
<v Speaker 1>he was selling the shoulder for pretty much the rest
<v Speaker 1>of the match. Here, Gable went for another ankle lock
<v Speaker 1>after trying one earlier. Pentado kicked him to the ground
<v Speaker 1>and pent To followed that with a TOPEI out to
<v Speaker 1>the floor and he had an awkward landing when he
<v Speaker 1>almost looked like he nearly landed on top of his
<v Speaker 1>own head. But he was okay. So back inside, Pena
<v Speaker 1>hit the Penta driver only for an ear fall, so
<v Speaker 1>then he caught Gable with a superkick, but then he
<v Speaker 1>charged right into an overhead belly to belly supplex into
<v Speaker 1>the corner. Gable dove off the top rope and Penta
<v Speaker 1>they did a spot here where he's just snatched him
<v Speaker 1>out of midair right into the sacrifice armbreaker, which is
<v Speaker 1>just another spot. I almost wish he just wouldn't do
<v Speaker 1>it anymore, you know, I know, it can never be
<v Speaker 1>like it was in Luca Underground, where he was like
<v Speaker 1>breaking people's arms every time he would do it. They're
<v Speaker 1>never going to do that. They've already killed the spot.
<v Speaker 1>It's just another spot in the match now, you know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he snaps the arm and everyone's like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god, they snapped the arm, and then you know,
<v Speaker 1>fifteen seconds later he's muscling somebody up for a supplex
<v Speaker 1>like nothing even happens, so it's like, what's the point
<v Speaker 1>of even doing it? But whatever, he snaps the arm. Here.
<v Speaker 1>I noticed Gable came up bleeding from the forehead. Not
<v Speaker 1>a lot, but it was noticeable. Penta tried for a
<v Speaker 1>Mexican Destroyer. Gable, though countered out into an ankle log
<v Speaker 1>that was able to work out of, and then he
<v Speaker 1>tried for a Mexican destroyer on the apron. Gable countered
<v Speaker 1>that though with a German suplex on the apron instead,
<v Speaker 1>So Gable came off the top with the moon salt
<v Speaker 1>to the floor onto Penta. Back inside. He came off
<v Speaker 1>the top with a diving headbut and he came up
<v Speaker 1>selling the injured shoulder in the process. There was a
<v Speaker 1>spot where Penta came off the middle rope with a
<v Speaker 1>Mexican destroyer to Gable on the apron, and Gable was
<v Speaker 1>just he was dead. He was dead, but not dead enough.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently Penta tried for another destroyer, this time inside the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and Gable was able to get an ankle lock applied. Penta.
<v Speaker 1>He grabbed at the bottom rope, he touched it, he
<v Speaker 1>made contact with it, but Gable just dragged him to
<v Speaker 1>the center of the ring and he graped vined the
<v Speaker 1>leg and Penta instantly tapped like no delay or anything.
<v Speaker 1>You know. This reminded me of It reminded me of
<v Speaker 1>Gunther at WrestleMania last year with jay Uso, where jay
<v Speaker 1>Uso got him in the sleeper and then he just
<v Speaker 1>didn't try to like sell it or anything like that,
<v Speaker 1>Like he just immediately tapped out. And that's what Penta
<v Speaker 1>did here, he tapped out. It would have been nice
<v Speaker 1>to build some drama maybe before the TapouT. But look,
<v Speaker 1>beggars can't be choosers here, I said, coming in, they
<v Speaker 1>have one job. Don't fuck this up. I mean, this
<v Speaker 1>is the easiest layup of the weekend, right, this can't
<v Speaker 1>possibly go any other way. And they did the right thing,
<v Speaker 1>and Gable picks up the wind and he is the
<v Speaker 1>brand new Intercontinental Champion. After the match was over, Penta
<v Speaker 1>he strapped the belt around Gable's waist again. Gables either
<v Speaker 1>it was his parents or his in laws. They came
<v Speaker 1>into the ring along with Gable's wife and his son
<v Speaker 1>and his daughter. Gable introduced himself to the crowd. My
<v Speaker 1>name is Chad Gable, born and raised and still residing
<v Speaker 1>in Minneapolis, Minneso. So everybody cheered. They shot off Pyro
<v Speaker 1>Forum as they did earlier. I forgot to mention for
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea Green and this was a great moment. And then
<v Speaker 1>they followed up this heartfelt family moment. It was so beautiful,
<v Speaker 1>I mean really like, it's an emotional moment. And Gable
<v Speaker 1>is still in the ring, his family is still in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. And then I see a fucking mascot on
<v Speaker 1>the apron. It's this thing. I don't know. Is it
<v Speaker 1>a bear? I don't remember off him? What is it?
<v Speaker 1>It's a fucking bear whatever it is, the giant head.
<v Speaker 1>It's a mascot. It's the mug root beer mascot. Because
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna work in a sponsorship plug in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of this heartfelt family celebration. Yes, they used the Chad
<v Speaker 1>Gable celebration to plug more shit on this show. And
<v Speaker 1>so was it a bear? It bulldog? Oh's the bulldog? Whyt?
<v Speaker 1>I say bear, it's a dog. Okay. I don't drink
<v Speaker 1>fucking mug root beer, so I don't know it's a bulldog. Fine,
<v Speaker 1>it's fine. So the bulldog gets on the apron, not
<v Speaker 1>the British one, and he hands Gable two cans of
<v Speaker 1>mug root beer. I guess it's in the contract that
<v Speaker 1>he has to drink it, and so he basically like
<v Speaker 1>stone cold, he slams them together and he downs them
<v Speaker 1>and they got their plug in there, and then they
<v Speaker 1>promoted it, you know, on commentary. So that was just
<v Speaker 1>fucking lame. I see this thing get on the apron.
<v Speaker 1>I think they're shooting an angle here with this person
<v Speaker 1>who's going to attack Gable. I thought he was gonna
<v Speaker 1>pull the head off. It's gonna be like big cast
<v Speaker 1>or something, because you know he's returning on Raw this Monday.
<v Speaker 1>But no, it's just no, we're gonna we're gonna work
<v Speaker 1>a plug in here. It's like, okay. Well, up until
<v Speaker 1>that point, though, it was a nice moment until it
<v Speaker 1>was commercialized like every other fucking thing on this show.
<v Speaker 1>Up until that, it was a nice moment. They gave
<v Speaker 1>them eleven minutes. They gave them eleven minutes. Eleven minutes
<v Speaker 1>is what brock Lesnar and Obafemi had for their main
<v Speaker 1>event last night, and eleven minutes was not nearly enough
<v Speaker 1>for these two to be able to go out there
<v Speaker 1>and do what I know they could do. Again, I
<v Speaker 1>could have watched them for another five, six, eight minutes
<v Speaker 1>and it would have made the match so much better.
<v Speaker 1>But again, they have too many ads to where you
<v Speaker 1>know you can't fit in any more wrestling on these shows.
<v Speaker 1>There's not enough time for wrestling on these shows. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not asking for a lot more. I actually disagree with
<v Speaker 1>people who were up and there are people on social
<v Speaker 1>media who were upset that, like this show was basically
<v Speaker 1>like more or less it was like three minutes long
<v Speaker 1>or three three hours. I'm sorry, I mean it kind
<v Speaker 1>of felt like the show maybe it was three three
<v Speaker 1>minutes long. No, the show was three hours long more
<v Speaker 1>or less. I'm okay with that. I don't need these
<v Speaker 1>shows to go overly long, but in the three hours
<v Speaker 1>is definitely on the shorter side. But they also divide
<v Speaker 1>it up into two nights, so if you do three
<v Speaker 1>hours on one night, you do three hours on another,
<v Speaker 1>that's six hours total. Like that's not unreasonable. I'm okay
<v Speaker 1>with that, But some of these matches, there's no reason
<v Speaker 1>you can't give them a few extra Why do all
<v Speaker 1>of these undercard matches have to be so short? I
<v Speaker 1>understand the main event went very long, but so what
<v Speaker 1>that's one match. You know, you had this guy in
<v Speaker 1>his hometown against Penta, two baby faces. People love Penta.
<v Speaker 1>They would have loved to have seen these guys get
<v Speaker 1>some more time to do their thing and really just
<v Speaker 1>take that time to tell that story. And that would
<v Speaker 1>really be my only criticism of the match. It went
<v Speaker 1>eleven minutes. It's terrible, but what we got was good
<v Speaker 1>to be able to do that with his family present
<v Speaker 1>for it in his hometown, and you know, coming off
<v Speaker 1>the match he had with Kaiser in Mexico and the
<v Speaker 1>whole again, it's a redemption arc for him. It was
<v Speaker 1>a beautiful payoff. Long May He Rain. I want to
<v Speaker 1>see him take on all comers. I want to see
<v Speaker 1>him have a very fruitful, long run as the champion
<v Speaker 1>until they find the right heel to come along and
<v Speaker 1>take it away from him, and then they confude over it.
<v Speaker 1>Long May He Rain. That's what I said. When I
<v Speaker 1>saw the time that they gave this match, I said, enough,
<v Speaker 1>this is ridiculous. They will do matches on television. They
<v Speaker 1>will do matches on Ron's SmackDown occasionally that are longer
<v Speaker 1>than what they gave Gable and Penta at Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, come on. But it was all because the
<v Speaker 1>main event. They needed their time, and that is what
<v Speaker 1>we had. Next. It was the main event of this show.
<v Speaker 1>It was Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against
<v Speaker 1>seth Rawlins. Now for Rollins entrance. They played the Shield
<v Speaker 1>intro Sierra Hotel. You know the rest, but they didn't
<v Speaker 1>play the shield music. They just played that little intro
<v Speaker 1>and they got people's ears all perked up. But then
<v Speaker 1>it just went right into the usual burn it down
<v Speaker 1>intro and Seth Rollins came out. He entered. He was
<v Speaker 1>wearing the old shield half skull mask. I mentioned this earlier,
<v Speaker 1>and he was wearing an outfit. You know, he had
<v Speaker 1>dialed it back in recent months since he came back.
<v Speaker 1>He was dressing more normally, and here he comes out
<v Speaker 1>and he was wearing something that looked like it would
<v Speaker 1>have been more appropriate to wear for like when WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>goes back to New Orleans. He looked like a fucking courtester.
<v Speaker 1>And I know Michael Cole on commentary had this whole
<v Speaker 1>explanation that Seth I'm sure gave him about what this
<v Speaker 1>color means and what that color represents, and I'm like, dude,
<v Speaker 1>you look like a fucking court jester. You know, the
<v Speaker 1>only thing missing with the clown shoes. So it was
<v Speaker 1>a very colorful outfit that only Seth Rollins would be wearing.
<v Speaker 1>Roman got his usual long entrance. After about fifteen minutes
<v Speaker 1>of entrances, the bell sounded. I marked it down. Eight
<v Speaker 1>thirty one PM eight thirty one PM. The show started
<v Speaker 1>at six eight thirty one and the main event was
<v Speaker 1>already underway. Is this a SummerSlam or is this in
<v Speaker 1>your house? I don't know. I don't know. But again
<v Speaker 1>I hey, three hours and change three fifteen. I'll take it.
<v Speaker 1>I'll take it. I don't need no five hours show.
<v Speaker 1>So they brawled into the crowd. I'd say about I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, six minutes or so, maybe into this. They
<v Speaker 1>brawled into the crowd. Rollins hit him with a stanchion
<v Speaker 1>right in the gut. When Rollins tried to superlex him, though,
<v Speaker 1>Roman reversed it and slammed him down onto the diamond
<v Speaker 1>plate that was on the ground. So they fought back
<v Speaker 1>to ringside. Rollins caught him with a neat right to
<v Speaker 1>the side of the face. He dove off the timekeeper's barricade.
<v Speaker 1>When Roman got back to his feet, Rollins he came
<v Speaker 1>charging in. He was gonna spear him through the barricade,
<v Speaker 1>only Roman caught him briefly in a guillotine and then
<v Speaker 1>he quickly transitioned to a power bomb position and he
<v Speaker 1>power bomb Rolins through the Spanish announced desk and Roman
<v Speaker 1>he is one of the funnier moments from the match.
<v Speaker 1>Roman looked over. There were a bunch of I guess
<v Speaker 1>of Minnesota Vikings sitting in the front row behind the announcers,
<v Speaker 1>and Roman's like smiling and he's laughing, and he's looking
<v Speaker 1>at them, and he says he's laughing. He goes Rollins
<v Speaker 1>played high school football. This guy played high school football.
<v Speaker 1>So then he cleared off the English announces. Rollins, though,
<v Speaker 1>ended up getting him up for a power bomb and
<v Speaker 1>he puts Roman through that desk, so now both desks
<v Speaker 1>have been obliterated. Roman barely beats it back in before
<v Speaker 1>the count of ten. As soon as he gets back
<v Speaker 1>into the ring, Rollins grabs him. He gives him a pedigree.
<v Speaker 1>He goes for a pin. Roman kicks out, so Rollins
<v Speaker 1>went for a stump instead, though he ran right into
<v Speaker 1>a superman punch. There's a cover. Rollin's got the shoulder
<v Speaker 1>up in two. So Roman he tried for a spear.
<v Speaker 1>We got a leap frog by Rollins. Roman ends up
<v Speaker 1>eating the middle turn buckle and seth comes off the ropes.
<v Speaker 1>He hits him with a curb stump very close near
<v Speaker 1>fall and they got the fans. So the fans are
<v Speaker 1>into this. The fans are really biting on these near falls,
<v Speaker 1>and there were a lot more yet to come. There
<v Speaker 1>was already a bunch of near falls by this point,
<v Speaker 1>but there was more coming here. So Rollins brought him
<v Speaker 1>to the ropes. He's gonna go for the Superplex. He
<v Speaker 1>delivers the Superplex, he rolls through. He's gonna go for
<v Speaker 1>the Falcon Arrow but no. Roman gets the guillotine locked
<v Speaker 1>in deep because fuck superplexes. I guess it's like, I'm
<v Speaker 1>not sure what's more egregious when I see the Superplex
<v Speaker 1>being no sold or when I saw that four to
<v Speaker 1>fifty splash being no sold by Nick Jackson at Redemption.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure which one irritated me more. Probably the
<v Speaker 1>four fifty. But anyway, he's got him locked in the guillotine.
<v Speaker 1>Seth is fighting it. Roman though, takes him to the mat.
<v Speaker 1>He's got his legs now wrapped around him like a snake. Rollins, though,
<v Speaker 1>manages to get back to his feet right. He's fighting
<v Speaker 1>his way back up to his feet. Roman catches him
<v Speaker 1>with a spear, though, and then there's another big near fall.
<v Speaker 1>Crowd is feeling it. Roman starts shit talking because he's
<v Speaker 1>like talking to himself. He goes, he's a two, I'm
<v Speaker 1>a one. So he stood Rollin's up, bounces off the ropes.
<v Speaker 1>He's coming off the Roy's going to go for a
<v Speaker 1>spear instead, Seth spears him before Roman can spear, Seth
<v Speaker 1>covers him. Roman kicks out. So now it's Seth who
<v Speaker 1>is doing the shit talking here, and he goes, you
<v Speaker 1>think I'm a number two. He goes, I'm I own
<v Speaker 1>your ass, picks him up for a buckle bomb. He
<v Speaker 1>delivers the buckle bomb. Seth goes for a stomp. Roman
<v Speaker 1>avoids it. He hits a buckle bomb of his own,
<v Speaker 1>and then we get a stump by Roman reins and
<v Speaker 1>he covers him and Rollins gets a shoulder up. And
<v Speaker 1>at this point, I mean, they were basically just spamming
<v Speaker 1>each other's moves, and the fans were buying into it
<v Speaker 1>because they're big moves, and you know, these are big
<v Speaker 1>stars doing big moves, so yeah, they'll they'll bite on anything.
<v Speaker 1>But that's basically what they were doing here during this
<v Speaker 1>whole sequence. So now they're on their knees and they're
<v Speaker 1>talking to each other and Roman is looking at me.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, it's always been us goes, It's always been
<v Speaker 1>me and you ever since the motherfucking red Rooster. It's
<v Speaker 1>always been me and you. And I'm like, did I
<v Speaker 1>just hear that? Well, like, excuse me? Did we just
<v Speaker 1>get a red rooster reference in the middle of this
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam main event here in twenty twenty six. I
<v Speaker 1>thought maybe I was losing my mind. I was not
<v Speaker 1>expecting that. And actually, when the match was over, Jackie
<v Speaker 1>Redman was interviewing on the post show. She was interviewing
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns, and she asked him, like, there was a
<v Speaker 1>certain point in the match you were talking to Seth,
<v Speaker 1>Like what were you saying to Seth? And and Roman said,
<v Speaker 1>he goes, it's always been me and you since the
<v Speaker 1>FCW days, and the red Rooster was bitching at us.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm like, okay, he did say red rooster. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not going crazy here. We got a Terry Taylor red rooster,
<v Speaker 1>red diference in the middle of this match. Now, the
<v Speaker 1>only thing that this main event was missing was a
<v Speaker 1>red rooster running. You imagine Terry Taylor running down to
<v Speaker 1>the ring with that fucking red streak right down his hair,
<v Speaker 1>runs into the ring, He's like clucking like a fucking rooster,
<v Speaker 1>and he hits him with a chair. That's the big
<v Speaker 1>swerve at the end of the match. Fucking red rooster.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, the meltdown. I would have five thousand
<v Speaker 1>people in here right now. It would be glorious. Like
<v Speaker 1>the people, the people that would be losing their minds.
<v Speaker 1>If the fucking red rooster had interfered in this main event,
<v Speaker 1>this would have been This would have been a generational stream.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god. Now now I'm kind of sad it
<v Speaker 1>didn't happen. They probably had. The sad part is they'd
<v Speaker 1>probably sell a lot of red rooster merch. These days,
<v Speaker 1>people will buy anything. What kind of merch could you
<v Speaker 1>sell though, for the red rooster? I mean, other than
<v Speaker 1>like an action figure. He didn't really bring anything down
<v Speaker 1>to the ring with it. We can sell like eggs.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know, I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>I'm still talking about this. So anyway, they start slugging
<v Speaker 1>it out, and in the course of them going back
<v Speaker 1>and forth, Rollins I think accidentally kind of threw a
<v Speaker 1>back elbow on like the recoil as he was throwing
<v Speaker 1>a shot, and the referee got clipped. So the referee
<v Speaker 1>went down. Now he's not out cold, he just sort
<v Speaker 1>of down in the corner trying to regroup. Rollins with
<v Speaker 1>what Michael Cole called the wacky line. God, I haven't
<v Speaker 1>heard that reference in a long time since the Big
<v Speaker 1>Dog days. We got a wacky line from Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>and Michael Cole says, hello, Dean Ambrose. Rollin's set up
<v Speaker 1>for a Moxley paradigm shift. Roman though hits one instead
<v Speaker 1>and owede. Michael Cole said to the third shield member
<v Speaker 1>who he had just identified, but here he didn't say
<v Speaker 1>his name, He just said the third Shield member. So
<v Speaker 1>Rain's he sets up for a spear, but he ends
<v Speaker 1>up spearing the referee by accident when Rollins moves out
<v Speaker 1>of the way. So there's your ref bump. Now let
<v Speaker 1>the fuckery begin, is what I'm thinking, right, because we
<v Speaker 1>had the same situation last night in the CM Punk
<v Speaker 1>and Cody Roads match. When the ref goes down, right,
<v Speaker 1>shit goes up and we have to wait and see
<v Speaker 1>who's gonna run in what's gonna happen? So Rollins he
<v Speaker 1>goes outside and he retrieves a chair, he brings it
<v Speaker 1>into the ring with him. He's gearing up. Roman is
<v Speaker 1>pulling himself up using the ropes, and they have this
<v Speaker 1>perfectly framed as Rollin's doing what he did all those
<v Speaker 1>years ag go, twelve years ago, whatever it was when
<v Speaker 1>he put the chair in Roman's back, right, He's going
<v Speaker 1>to do it again. But that hesitation as he's waiting
<v Speaker 1>and waiting and waiting instead of just doing it, and
<v Speaker 1>that hesitation ends up costing him because Roman turns around
<v Speaker 1>and catches him with a thrust right to the face,
<v Speaker 1>and so down goes Rolins. Now Roman sees the chair
<v Speaker 1>laying there on the mat and he reaches down he
<v Speaker 1>picks up the chair. Now Seth is over pulling himself
<v Speaker 1>up using the ropes, and Roman is contemplating here. He's
<v Speaker 1>thinking about do I want to do this? Do I
<v Speaker 1>want to use this chair? Do I want to become
<v Speaker 1>him and do what he did to me Roman? He
<v Speaker 1>ends up tossing the chair away, and he's standing there.
<v Speaker 1>He's waiting for Seth to turn around, and he does
<v Speaker 1>and Roman says, right here, right here in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of the ring, me and you no chair. And I
<v Speaker 1>looked at the clock. We had just hit the thirty
<v Speaker 1>minute mark in this match, and they start slugging it
<v Speaker 1>out again, and I'm thinking to myself, where is the referee?
<v Speaker 1>The referee has been down now for several minutes. And
<v Speaker 1>it's not like, I mean, he didn't take a fucking
<v Speaker 1>buckle bomb or something here. I mean he didn't get
<v Speaker 1>I mean he took a spear, I guess, but it
<v Speaker 1>had been a while and I was at least looking
<v Speaker 1>for the referee to like start waking up here. There's
<v Speaker 1>no referee, So Seth is slapping him. You know, be
<v Speaker 1>a man, Roman, be a man, Little Randy Savage, there
<v Speaker 1>be a man. Helped Rains fires back, Rolin starts giving
<v Speaker 1>him kawata kicks to the head. Roman, though, strikes back
<v Speaker 1>with a superman punch. Seth stays on his feet, though
<v Speaker 1>he's wobbly, but he's on his feet. Roman goes for
<v Speaker 1>a spear, but when he dives for the spear, he
<v Speaker 1>dives right into a pedigree. We've seen this spot before
<v Speaker 1>from from Rollin's Countless Times. He hits the pedigree. Seth
<v Speaker 1>is waiting, goes for the stomp, but no. Roman moves
<v Speaker 1>out of the way, but then he hits the stomp anyway.
<v Speaker 1>That was kind of weird, so he ended up stomping
<v Speaker 1>him anyway. So now Seth is climbing to the top rope.
<v Speaker 1>He's gonna go for a super stomp. Comes off the top,
<v Speaker 1>Roman moves out of the way. Roman hits a spear.
<v Speaker 1>Seth eventually makes his way back up. Another spear connects,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm thinking, now, I'm thinking, like, where is this
<v Speaker 1>fucking referee. There's still no referee. Where is this ref
<v Speaker 1>Roman's in the corner. He hits a third spear, as
<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole said, the death blow to the shield, and
<v Speaker 1>finally there's the referee. Roman makes the cover. He gets
<v Speaker 1>the pin thirty three minutes in to retain the World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight Championship. It was nine oh four pm. Seth is
<v Speaker 1>sitting in the corner. He's staring at Rome and he
<v Speaker 1>looks very dejected. Roman is sitting in the opposite corner,
<v Speaker 1>looking right across at him, and they're staring each other down.
<v Speaker 1>So now Roman comes to the middle of the ring
<v Speaker 1>and he puts his fist out. It's like the old
<v Speaker 1>shield days, right, he puts the fist out. Seth joins
<v Speaker 1>him in the middle of the ring and they bump
<v Speaker 1>fists and they have the shield mask that Rollins had
<v Speaker 1>brought out earlier. The half mask, the skull mask is
<v Speaker 1>sitting on the mat in between them on the canvas.
<v Speaker 1>You have Roman on the right, you have the mask
<v Speaker 1>on the ground in the middle, and you have Seth
<v Speaker 1>on the left. And I believe the mask is supposed
<v Speaker 1>to represent Dean Ambrose, at least I hope it is,
<v Speaker 1>because I love the symbolism there, So I assume that
<v Speaker 1>was the whole purpose behind doing it that way, because
<v Speaker 1>obviously he couldn't be there, and so this was their
<v Speaker 1>way of kind of representing him. And we got that
<v Speaker 1>parting shot, you know, of the shield, you know, one
<v Speaker 1>last time here and there's your match of the night.
<v Speaker 1>There's your match of the night. There's your match of
<v Speaker 1>the of the weekend. Much better than the Cody Road
<v Speaker 1>c On Punk match that we got. I felt like
<v Speaker 1>on Night one. There is a formula to these Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns matches. I mean to some degree. I mean everybody
<v Speaker 1>has a formula, right for some people the formula is
<v Speaker 1>more exciting than others. Roman has a formula to these matches.
<v Speaker 1>If you watch them, you kind of pick up on it.
<v Speaker 1>You can kind of know what's coming. Lots of spears,
<v Speaker 1>lots of Superman punches. Sometimes other people will give him
<v Speaker 1>the spear. We see a lot of that, but he
<v Speaker 1>is very good at pulling out kind of these matches
<v Speaker 1>every now and then anyway that feel epic. And he
<v Speaker 1>did that with Punk at wrestle Mania this year. It
<v Speaker 1>takes two to tang. Oh, I mean, you gotta give
<v Speaker 1>credit to Punk also, but he did that at wrestle
<v Speaker 1>Mania this year. That was an excellent main event. And
<v Speaker 1>he did it again here with Rollins. And I don't
<v Speaker 1>know that I would say this was better than MANI
<v Speaker 1>this was not better than Mania. The Mania match was better,
<v Speaker 1>but I thought that this ended up being an excellent
<v Speaker 1>main event. I'm glad that we can close this chapter
<v Speaker 1>once and for all, as far as the Shield goes,
<v Speaker 1>we can move on from this. As far as what's
<v Speaker 1>next for Seth Rollins, I don't know. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>right now. I don't know certainly. I hope it's not
<v Speaker 1>the Vision or anything to do with them, So I'm
<v Speaker 1>not quite sure what's next for him For Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 1>it all depends on how much longer he plans on
<v Speaker 1>sticking around. Because he told us many months ago after
<v Speaker 1>he won the championship of WrestleMania. He said on the
<v Speaker 1>post show, you got me for the summer, no more
<v Speaker 1>of this part time shit like you got me for
<v Speaker 1>the summer. Okay, so shut the fuck up was basically
<v Speaker 1>his message. Well, the summer is not over yet, right,
<v Speaker 1>the summer is not technically over until later next month,
<v Speaker 1>but at least the rest of August, beginning of September. Right,
<v Speaker 1>they say Labor days the unofficial end of summer. He
<v Speaker 1>should be sticking around for a while. And actually they
<v Speaker 1>announced a bunch of dates for him. He's not going
<v Speaker 1>to be on very I don't know that he's going
<v Speaker 1>to be on really any raws in September, but he
<v Speaker 1>does have days he is going to be at money
<v Speaker 1>in the bank. So maybe plans have changed, you know,
<v Speaker 1>maybe he's not going to completely like go away for
<v Speaker 1>two or three months at a time. It doesn't look
<v Speaker 1>like we're going to be getting him terribly consistently on TV,
<v Speaker 1>but he is going to be at money in the bank.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see if they add, you know, a wrestle palooza
<v Speaker 1>or something in September. A lot of it will depend
<v Speaker 1>on that, you know, how how long is he going
<v Speaker 1>to be around for or is he going to disappear
<v Speaker 1>mostly and then resurface in time for war Games and
<v Speaker 1>we get another Bloodline wargames? Like, is that what we're
<v Speaker 1>headed for? Very possible? How much longer is you know,
<v Speaker 1>Jacob Fatu going to play lapdog in the Bloodline before
<v Speaker 1>they pick things back up with him in Roman. I
<v Speaker 1>mean there's been no indication lately that anything is going
<v Speaker 1>to change. I mean he just became subservient to him
<v Speaker 1>in what may probably going to keep this going into
<v Speaker 1>next year. So in the meantime, it feels like Fa Tou,
<v Speaker 1>they've really cooled him off. So what's next for him?
<v Speaker 1>You would think that Roman is not going to be
<v Speaker 1>very happy about the fact that Fatu and the USO's
<v Speaker 1>lost on Night one, So is there going to be
<v Speaker 1>some sort of conversation that happens on Raw this Monday?
<v Speaker 1>As far as that goes, l A Knight in that
<v Speaker 1>six man tag last night, he got the win, you
<v Speaker 1>know he pinje Uso. Does that set him up for
<v Speaker 1>a one and done? Because if he gets a title shot,
<v Speaker 1>you know it's going to be a one and done.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe he'll get a world title match with Roman out
<v Speaker 1>of it, you know, and then Roman can beat him
<v Speaker 1>and they can move on. So maybe we you know,
<v Speaker 1>we we see something like that. I could see him
<v Speaker 1>maybe being in line Drew McIntyre. You know, he's another
<v Speaker 1>one where Drew is going to be back at some point.
<v Speaker 1>He was on SmackDown last time we saw him. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>he ends up on WRAW. You know, maybe they they
<v Speaker 1>kind of resume the whole bloodline Hunter gimmick that he
<v Speaker 1>was doing there for a while. You know, that could
<v Speaker 1>be something Roman and Oba is the ultimate match. It
<v Speaker 1>just it doesn't feel to me like that's a match
<v Speaker 1>they're going to want to go to in the next
<v Speaker 1>couple of months. Could it be wrestle Palooza, Could it
<v Speaker 1>be Money in the Bank. Sure, But I would be
<v Speaker 1>very surprised if at this point, you know, because they
<v Speaker 1>didn't do it on this show, if they don't just
<v Speaker 1>wait until WrestleMania next year and just do it there,
<v Speaker 1>because you know, Mania for them is still like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's the end all, be all, and they want to
<v Speaker 1>give them the big WrestleMania moment. I just I worry about, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>what are they going to do with Oba in the meantime?
<v Speaker 1>It almost doesn't make any sense for him to do
<v Speaker 1>anything else but challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. Like,
<v Speaker 1>logically speaking, that should be the next match. The next
<v Speaker 1>match should be Roman and Oba. I don't know that
<v Speaker 1>they want to go to it that quickly, though, you
<v Speaker 1>know I would. I wouldn't. I wouldn't wait until WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>next year. But that's probably, you know, something that they
<v Speaker 1>would want to do, and then it's like, Okay, well,
<v Speaker 1>what do you do with these guys in the meantime?
<v Speaker 1>Right That's the big question. As I said at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of the review, there was a lot more to
<v Speaker 1>like about Night two than there was about Night one.
<v Speaker 1>Both Knights had their flaws. We kind of went over
<v Speaker 1>what those were. The time management could have been a
<v Speaker 1>lot better on some of these undercard matches, and not
<v Speaker 1>even just the undercard matches, even the main event last night,
<v Speaker 1>where it just felt like it was about to kick
<v Speaker 1>into that next gear and then it just ended abruptly,
<v Speaker 1>and what could have been like a couple of classic
<v Speaker 1>matches maybe this weekend we never got that. That's not
<v Speaker 1>a word I would use to describe anything that we
<v Speaker 1>got on these shows this weekend. You know, even though again,
<v Speaker 1>I really like the main event tonight. You know, on
<v Speaker 1>the broadcast, Michael Cole's always throwing words like that around
<v Speaker 1>an instant classic an instant. I paid less and less
<v Speaker 1>attention to what he says or what they tell him
<v Speaker 1>to say, because it's just so over the top when
<v Speaker 1>you start throwing words like that around when it's undeserved,
<v Speaker 1>or you throw them around like you know, every month
<v Speaker 1>there's a new classic match like it doesn't mean anything
<v Speaker 1>after a while. Not a word I would use to describe,
<v Speaker 1>you know, any of this. But Night two was better
<v Speaker 1>than Night one. The matches were better on the whole.
<v Speaker 1>We got some memorable moments sprinkled in with a really
<v Speaker 1>great main event thumbs up show, which makes it a
<v Speaker 1>thumbs up Summer Slam overall. I can't say that it's
<v Speaker 1>an overly enthusiastic thumbs up, like man, my favorite Summer
<v Speaker 1>Slam in ten years. Like no, I would go seven
<v Speaker 1>out of ten on the whole. If I was six
<v Speaker 1>out of ten last night, I would say this bumped
<v Speaker 1>it up maybe to a seven. I think that's fair.
<v Speaker 1>Bronson Reid through a tweet taking a shot at Obafemi. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>I love that match, Oba Femi and Bronson Reid Bronson
<v Speaker 1>read should be back very soon. He should be act
<v Speaker 1>very soon. So yes, sign me up for that, man.
<v Speaker 1>I would love to see that. We're still ten likes
<v Speaker 1>away from one thousand. We did hit the bonus goal though,
<v Speaker 1>so we're guaranteed at least one round of be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>I just noticed that. But yeah, seven out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's more than fair here for these shows. Hey,
<v Speaker 1>link Master, thank you, says Seth is to Roman what
<v Speaker 1>Randy was to Sina. Well, yeah, I mean they've just
<v Speaker 1>been linked so closely for so long. The thing with
<v Speaker 1>Orton and Sena, it just got to a point where
<v Speaker 1>I didn't want to see them in the ring together
<v Speaker 1>for like at least ten years. I was like, I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to see this anymore, you know, because we
<v Speaker 1>saw it so many times. You just kind of burned
<v Speaker 1>people out on it. But the thing about it was
<v Speaker 1>like Orton and Sena, relative to the number of matches
<v Speaker 1>they had, they did not bring out the best at
<v Speaker 1>each other. There are certain people that will work together
<v Speaker 1>and they have great matches and they just bring out
<v Speaker 1>the best in each other when the bell rings. They
<v Speaker 1>never really brought the best out of each other, like
<v Speaker 1>Orton had his best matches with people not named John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>and John Cena had his best matches with people not
<v Speaker 1>named Randy Orton, right, he had his best matches with
<v Speaker 1>Edge and Punk and AJ You know, for Orton, Christian, right,
<v Speaker 1>Christian would be one god? Who else did? Who else?
<v Speaker 1>Would I say, Randy Orton had some of his best
<v Speaker 1>matches with. Who are some of Randy's best opponents? It's
<v Speaker 1>a good question. Other than Christian, I don't know. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I know sick Sincrow says eleven minutes, Penta and Gable
<v Speaker 1>got eleven minutes. I know, I know. You're preaching to
<v Speaker 1>the choir here. See now, all of you were saying
<v Speaker 1>cactus Jack mc foley, Yes, but you're going back to
<v Speaker 1>two thousand and four though it was one match. That's
<v Speaker 1>kind of sad if like, all we can think of
<v Speaker 1>is Christian and Cactus Jack. I think about how long
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton's been around for Undertaker? All right, Undertaker, they
<v Speaker 1>had a few, They had a few matches, right, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Polaris cheers brother the military. You guys, you guys do
<v Speaker 1>too much. Check out your super chats here, bring them
<v Speaker 1>up here. We go. Hey, Larry Jester, thank you again, Joshua.
<v Speaker 1>I gotta thank you for those two big bombs that
<v Speaker 1>he dropped on me. I already read them earlier. Brother,
<v Speaker 1>I gave those top priority. Thank you again. Actually, let
<v Speaker 1>me there were something that came in before the Super Pony.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah he had, Yeah, Murph's he had some good ones
<v Speaker 1>with AJ. I mean, I feel like it would be
<v Speaker 1>impossible for people to not have good matches with AJ styles,
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, I would say AJ was one of them.
<v Speaker 1>Super Pony says Listen, I don't care what bullshit they
<v Speaker 1>want to give me about Punk being the bigger star
<v Speaker 1>and the bigger draw. Kevin Owens needs to win the
<v Speaker 1>w W whe title, end of story. He is one
<v Speaker 1>of one, a special yes he is. And honestly, you
<v Speaker 1>know what, for all the times that he challenged for
<v Speaker 1>the championship and didn't win against Roman and against Cody
<v Speaker 1>and he just came back, I would put the title
<v Speaker 1>on him as well. I agree with you one hundred percent.
<v Speaker 1>Put the title on Kevin owns. I endorsed that. GMB says,
<v Speaker 1>I wish Chelsea wasn't bad in ring and people only
<v Speaker 1>relying on that. Pentam Madge from a decade ago to
<v Speaker 1>dispute that for a huge heat, have JC beat her
<v Speaker 1>for the title, beat her for the interim title. If
<v Speaker 1>you were going to do that, why not just have
<v Speaker 1>jac in the ladder match and win the interim title there.
<v Speaker 1>That's what they should have done. Actually, what they should
<v Speaker 1>have done is had Blake Monroe in the ladder match
<v Speaker 1>and then they can kind of branch off with her
<v Speaker 1>and Tiffany in feud for the US title. But they
<v Speaker 1>had a different idea. The Shawnathan says the Fatal four
<v Speaker 1>way of the Mount rushmore of NXT Black and Gold. Lol.
<v Speaker 1>Love seeing Ko back, but storyline, Sammy has every right
<v Speaker 1>to be pissed, Yes he does. I did notice Balor
<v Speaker 1>and Owens being in there. It reminded me of like
<v Speaker 1>it's been ten years. Not only did Balor win the
<v Speaker 1>Universal title on this show ten years ago, but because
<v Speaker 1>he got hurt and was stripped, the person who benefited
<v Speaker 1>from that and ended up winning the championship was Kevin Owens,
<v Speaker 1>And so here they were in the ring together ten
<v Speaker 1>years later. Joshua had another nineteen ninety nine. I only
<v Speaker 1>watched WWE from January through August. My next question is
<v Speaker 1>when do you think the peak was. My opinion was
<v Speaker 1>Alimitation Chamber twenty twenty five, with the rest of the
<v Speaker 1>year held up by Johnsteen his retirement and overpriced ples.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah again, they peaked after the after the main event
<v Speaker 1>of WrestleMania forty. You want to know it creatively anyway,
<v Speaker 1>you want to know what the peak was. That was
<v Speaker 1>the peak, and they haven't been able to recapture that
<v Speaker 1>since Party on SPARTI realistically, Oba should get Roman next.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely absolutely nothing else really makes sense. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna do that. They're gonna have to figure out
<v Speaker 1>a side quest for him in the meantime. But Oba
<v Speaker 1>should have nothing else on his mind but the championship.
<v Speaker 1>Although it's his fucking fault that he didn't get a
<v Speaker 1>title shot on this show, but that's on him. Death
<v Speaker 1>Side says they add Gunther, who competed on Night one,
<v Speaker 1>to the number one contenders match on night two. They
<v Speaker 1>add him, Yet they can't add Oba to the World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight Championship match so he can beat both Seth and
<v Speaker 1>Roman well, because it interferes with the Shield lore. This
<v Speaker 1>is the Shield story and it's Roman reign. So yes,
<v Speaker 1>they're not going to put him in there to just
<v Speaker 1>beat Roman. They want Roman to have that belt. Roman
<v Speaker 1>is their guy more than Cody, more than Punk. Roman
<v Speaker 1>is the number one star in this company. Roman is
<v Speaker 1>the one who they have effectively built everything around. He
<v Speaker 1>is still the anchor of the Bloodline story. Roman's not
<v Speaker 1>going to do what Roman doesn't want to do, and
<v Speaker 1>I doubt the company wanted to take the belt off
<v Speaker 1>of Romans. So that's why we didn't get the match,
<v Speaker 1>says that money in the bank. I can now see
<v Speaker 1>sammy's Ay winning the briefcase and Kevin Owens winning the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Championship, and Sammy Cash is in on the same
<v Speaker 1>nights to win the title, and we get a Ko
<v Speaker 1>Sammy feud over the belt. What are your thoughts? I
<v Speaker 1>love it. I love it, but Punk is still going
<v Speaker 1>to be the number one guy in that brand. So
<v Speaker 1>Punk realistically is not going to be involved. So I
<v Speaker 1>don't hate what you just proposed, and I think that
<v Speaker 1>it's actually very realistic, but Punk is still going to
<v Speaker 1>have to be involved in some way. I don't see
<v Speaker 1>him not being involved that. Jeff Jeff Bray, thank you, Jeff,
<v Speaker 1>Yovanni Padilla, Hello Solo, thanks for the review. What are
<v Speaker 1>wrestling pet peeves of yours? Mine are when wrestlers did
<v Speaker 1>their opponents, finishers and finishers spam brother. I have too
<v Speaker 1>many to but you're in luck because I did an
<v Speaker 1>entire video on this, So what I would recommend that
<v Speaker 1>you do? Because I can't possibly remember them all off
<v Speaker 1>the top of my head, but I laid them all out.
<v Speaker 1>I went on this like ridiculous rant. It wasn't even planned.
<v Speaker 1>It was like a mailbag question that somebody sent in
<v Speaker 1>on one of the podcasts, and it just turned into
<v Speaker 1>this whole list of grievances and all these wrestling pet peeves.
<v Speaker 1>It's on the channel. I clipped it for the channel.
<v Speaker 1>So if you just go to the search and I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, type in solemn monster pet peeves or whatever,
<v Speaker 1>it should come right out. People seem to really enjoy it,
<v Speaker 1>so hopefully you will too. Darryl Strawberry is back with
<v Speaker 1>us tonight. Little roller up along first behind the back,
<v Speaker 1>It gets through Buckner, here comes night and the Mets
<v Speaker 1>win it. Those are words that you don't hear too
<v Speaker 1>often these days. And the Mets win it. The Mets
<v Speaker 1>aren't going to be winning anything when they have this
<v Speaker 1>baseball lockout death site says we need a faction that
<v Speaker 1>kills other factions called the Extermination Squad. Yeah, that's probably
<v Speaker 1>not a good idea. Alexander with a four ninety nine
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea winning had me quoting Drew McIntyre. I prayed for
<v Speaker 1>this and it happened. I was worried that they would
<v Speaker 1>play it safe with Jade or Charlotte. I was convinced
<v Speaker 1>they were going to give it to Lash. I'm glad
<v Speaker 1>they didn't. I was happy to be wrong about that. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>it was wrestling troup. Is that what it was? Wrestling tropes? Well,
<v Speaker 1>some of the wrestling tropes, though, I think there were
<v Speaker 1>some pet peeves in there. I mean, again, there's so
<v Speaker 1>many different pet peeves. It's a pet peeve of mine
<v Speaker 1>when you have the fucking champion who enters first and
<v Speaker 1>the challenger enters second. Unless the challenger it's like a
<v Speaker 1>you know, like a legend or like there's a really
<v Speaker 1>good reason for it. I'm a believer that the champion
<v Speaker 1>should always be entering last. I guess you would call
<v Speaker 1>that a pet beeve prince vegeta Michael Cole is like
<v Speaker 1>Roman reigns and Seth Rowlins, what careers and legends they
<v Speaker 1>are and oh yeah, that one dean guy. He's saying
<v Speaker 1>what he's told. I'm sure they're in his ear where
<v Speaker 1>they're talking to him before the show. Rubin Constantino first time,
<v Speaker 1>long time, loved the show. So though, thank you Ruben
<v Speaker 1>first time. Huh, don't be a stranger death sithe after tonight. Seth.
<v Speaker 1>Rolins should be in the role that aj Styles was in,
<v Speaker 1>a utility guy that can be played into any role
<v Speaker 1>instead of hogging the main events. Yeah, but you don't
<v Speaker 1>really do that with a top guy when he's not
<v Speaker 1>like washed up yet. You do that with somebody when
<v Speaker 1>he's like a few steps off. You really want to
<v Speaker 1>demote them. Rollins is still one of their key guys.
<v Speaker 1>Why would you do that? Why would you turn him
<v Speaker 1>into a utility guy. I'm okay with him now being
<v Speaker 1>in the main event for a little bit and feuding
<v Speaker 1>him with somebody new, But to turn him into a
<v Speaker 1>utility guy, I don't know that I would be doing that.
<v Speaker 1>Jersey authentic. I think Chelsea Green is going to get
<v Speaker 1>the Zach Ryder treatment. Win a championship in the ladder match,
<v Speaker 1>lose it on the next show, losing it to Naya Jack.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, why why, why? Why would you do that?
<v Speaker 1>Why would you suggest that? What are you doing? I mean,
<v Speaker 1>if that's the case, who said jac Jane before? I'd
<v Speaker 1>rather they go with J. C. James. But apparently jac
<v Speaker 1>is going into the US title King Nader with a
<v Speaker 1>New Zealand one seventy, which was a one hundred US
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, King Nader. I saw the one seventy, I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I should be so lucky. Holy shit, I got thrown
<v Speaker 1>off there. When I saw that, I said, wait, wait, wait,
<v Speaker 1>that's a different denomination. Willis Wheeler WWE has no black
<v Speaker 1>champions on the roster right now. Interesting they did it
<v Speaker 1>one time. They had I think a bunch of them
<v Speaker 1>all at once. Don't worry about it. Oba Oba's getting
<v Speaker 1>that belt. It's just a matter of Wayne, It's not
<v Speaker 1>a matter of if. It's only a matter of time.
<v Speaker 1>Jade had the belt only a couple of months ago,
<v Speaker 1>thinking about tag teams. The Street Profits had it and
<v Speaker 1>then they lost it. Paul Carpenter, who did it better?
<v Speaker 1>The love storyline Phineas or Phineas and Sonny or Otis
<v Speaker 1>and Mandy or Otison Maxine Otison Maxine. There was no
<v Speaker 1>love story with Otison Maxine. There was no story with
<v Speaker 1>Otison Maxine. Who did it better? I mean Otis and
<v Speaker 1>Mandy was very entertaining. Death Site says after Rhea beats Chelsea,
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea should be recognized as an official WWE Women's Champion
<v Speaker 1>because it would be an insult if she is not.
<v Speaker 1>It's an interim title. Brother. My guess is it won't count.
<v Speaker 1>Prince vegeta ninety five. I wouldn't put Ko in another
<v Speaker 1>world title match unless he wins it. He's lost too
<v Speaker 1>many title matches. Well, that's why he said I endorsed
<v Speaker 1>the idea of him winning the title, because we've seen
<v Speaker 1>him countless times before, like Challenge for the WWE Championship,
<v Speaker 1>and he always fails. I don't understand why you would
<v Speaker 1>bring him back and vault him into a title match
<v Speaker 1>and just have him lose again. But Sammy's ain't is
<v Speaker 1>in the wings, and he's probably not very happy with
<v Speaker 1>what happened tonight. Maybe Sammy screws him over. Aaron says
<v Speaker 1>Nick con eyes lit up when he saw the human monies.
<v Speaker 1>I'll bet reborn later. I know it's an awful song,
<v Speaker 1>but the Gable theme has grown on me. I kind
<v Speaker 1>of like it, loving the streams solo Thank You Reborn Later.
<v Speaker 1>I get what they're trying to do with it. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they want people to get into the chorus where it
<v Speaker 1>goes Gable and they chant his name. Yeah, obviously they
<v Speaker 1>were doing it here in Minneapolis. I don't know that
<v Speaker 1>it's catching on everywhere else, but that's the idea behind it.
<v Speaker 1>Super pony Punk should be the heel in this KO program.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think anybody who is going to cheer him
<v Speaker 1>over Kevin. I also think Kevin Owens is going to
<v Speaker 1>tear him to shreds on the microphone. I think it's
<v Speaker 1>going to be very entertaining on the mic. I'm looking
<v Speaker 1>forward to the promos as much as I am any
<v Speaker 1>matches that they're gonna have Saint James fiance and I
<v Speaker 1>dislike Roman to where they were actually rooting for Seth,
<v Speaker 1>who they also hate, but less we're really bummed out
<v Speaker 1>by the Uh, we're really bummed out by the Finally,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what you mean. You mean finale, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. We got a couple of Roman reignentators here
<v Speaker 1>though the bloodline fans are not gonna like hearing about
<v Speaker 1>that solo Monster's lost son is back with us tonight
<v Speaker 1>with a four ninety nine. Dad. I can't believe that
<v Speaker 1>Ko returned tonight, my second favorite wrestler. I was shaking
<v Speaker 1>my ass to his theme song when he was coming out.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think I needed to know that son debt sith.
<v Speaker 1>I did enjoy Randy Orton coming out at Night One
<v Speaker 1>like he was James Earl Cash from the Manhunt video
<v Speaker 1>game and Slade Cody. So hopefully their program is orton
<v Speaker 1>just making Cody's life a snuff film. A snuff film. Well,
<v Speaker 1>you guys have some wild ideas here. This is a
<v Speaker 1>PG product, sir. We don't do that type of stuff.
<v Speaker 1>We wee almighty with a ten. It Brock shows up
<v Speaker 1>tomorrow night on Raw wearing a hot pink snakeskin suit
<v Speaker 1>with matching cowboy boots. I'm changing the channel, not falling
<v Speaker 1>for that retirement speech again. It's a salmon snakeskin suit.
<v Speaker 1>It's not hot pink. Jeremy Rose, this got a lead
<v Speaker 1>to Sammy and Drew in a partnership. I think that
<v Speaker 1>could be interesting. I think that could be it. I
<v Speaker 1>thought maybe Owens would be a part of it, but
<v Speaker 1>obviously not. Death Site says twenty twenty six. Sambys Ain
<v Speaker 1>is nineteen ninety seven. Brett Hart Um I look, look
<v Speaker 1>nineteen ninety seven. Brett Hart is goaded twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 1>Sambys Ain is not in that league right now. There
<v Speaker 1>are similarities in the gimmick, but I am I'm not
<v Speaker 1>going to compare the two. Death Side says, if God forbid,
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre ever got injured, he should adopt Randy Orton's
<v Speaker 1>art and call it DNN have vignettes featuring him talking
<v Speaker 1>about his condition and interrupting other segments. So you want
<v Speaker 1>him to just copy what was done before? That sounds
<v Speaker 1>very unoriginal. He's got to put his own spin on it.
<v Speaker 1>It's got to figure out a way to make it
<v Speaker 1>unique to him. Jay Warren with a nineteen ninety nine
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to support my favorite content creators being here
<v Speaker 1>during my downtime. Keep up the great work, hey, Jay,
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate that very much. Thank you for the support.
<v Speaker 1>Hot Pink Brother is fucking blind. Yeah, it was not
<v Speaker 1>a hot pink suit. Mark Henry was not wearing hot pink.
<v Speaker 1>I could tell you that the average grunt. I suggest
<v Speaker 1>we start calling them signature moves. I endorse that they're
<v Speaker 1>not finishing moves. Finishing moves don't exist anymore. Finishing moves
<v Speaker 1>don't finish anybody, so you can't call them finishing moves impractically, Christopher,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for the COSM super chat. We read that
<v Speaker 1>one earlier. Hopefully one day I get to check out
<v Speaker 1>that place. Alexander Chelsea should beat Rhea, then go on
<v Speaker 1>to feud with Blake Monroe, and then let Chelsea drop
<v Speaker 1>the belt to her. Ria does not need the belt
<v Speaker 1>in my opinion. Oh no, no, she doesn't need it,
<v Speaker 1>but they're gonna want her to have it for Crown
<v Speaker 1>Jewel would be my guess. Jeremy says, you're sleeping on
<v Speaker 1>a live Chelsea program, am I. They're not even on
<v Speaker 1>the same brand. James Crawford with a one hundred dollars
<v Speaker 1>super chat bomb and then a thirty on top of that.
<v Speaker 1>But he says, I love you, Solo. You are my
<v Speaker 1>IWC tribal chief. It's nice to be acknowledged. R D
<v Speaker 1>beats with a twenty Hey, Solo r D beats here. Yeah, well,
<v Speaker 1>I kind of got that wanted to let you know
<v Speaker 1>I've got the biggest match of my career this Saturday
<v Speaker 1>at the AAPW Arena against Blaylock in a dog collar
<v Speaker 1>grudge match on our biggest show of the year. I
<v Speaker 1>always enjoy your podcast, well, I always enjoy the updates
<v Speaker 1>from you, and I think that's awesome. A dog collar
<v Speaker 1>grudge match, well, look, be safe, try not to get
<v Speaker 1>too banged up there, and hopefully you win your match.
<v Speaker 1>You have to right back when it's over and let
<v Speaker 1>us know how it goes. And a dog collar match,
<v Speaker 1>those are rough. See what I did there, Nicholas Darling
<v Speaker 1>fifteen dollars. I know you said you can't do pizza,
<v Speaker 1>but you should accept that it's gonna be a bad night,
<v Speaker 1>although not as bad as watching Raw and get lay
<v Speaker 1>Industry one slice of fig jam and bacon. Congrats on
<v Speaker 1>your well earned success, Lay Industry. I've not heard of
<v Speaker 1>this before. One slice of fig jam and bacon. Man,
<v Speaker 1>I'm getting hungry. Thank you, Nicholas. I may have to
<v Speaker 1>look into that. Death Site says bron Breaker should just
<v Speaker 1>give his tag team title to Logan Paul because he
<v Speaker 1>doesn't he doesn't The Vision aka TMU Maximum Male Models
<v Speaker 1>did you leave a word out of that super chat.
<v Speaker 1>I think he meant doesn't belong in the vision, which
<v Speaker 1>he does not. He does not belong in the vision anymore. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>The longer he stays in that group, I mean, bron
<v Speaker 1>Breaker is just and he's dying on the vine. Dying
<v Speaker 1>on the vine, says. Can you imagine if they tried
<v Speaker 1>to plug the mug root beer mascot when brock Lesner
<v Speaker 1>was giving his endorsement to Obafemi. Oh, I would have
<v Speaker 1>loved it, because Brock would have fucking murdered him. Brock
<v Speaker 1>would have picked him up for an F five, dumped
<v Speaker 1>him on the wooden boards. You try that and see
<v Speaker 1>what happens. We have Enigma three sixteen to be fair,
<v Speaker 1>seventy five percent or so has to be ad placement
<v Speaker 1>these days. Yeah, I mean, that's what these shows are.
<v Speaker 1>So I can either just repeat myself over and over
<v Speaker 1>again and talk about how terrible these shows are relative
<v Speaker 1>to how they used to be because of it, or
<v Speaker 1>we just sort of except that, Okay, this is the
<v Speaker 1>format of these shows and all the wrestling that we
<v Speaker 1>do get, what little bit of wrestling we get in
<v Speaker 1>between all of the various plugs and various ads. Is
<v Speaker 1>it good enough? And sadly it's not always because they
<v Speaker 1>just don't get enough time. You would think on the
<v Speaker 1>premium live events that they would get a little more
<v Speaker 1>than eleven minutes, you know, for a big title match
<v Speaker 1>like that, but evidently not. You know, why, why give
<v Speaker 1>them fourteen minutes when we can give them eleven and
<v Speaker 1>we can have another Dojorno's pizza ad? Why not do that?
<v Speaker 1>Shift and shive wwe is all hype and no substance,
<v Speaker 1>all hat and no cattle, A polished turd if you will,
<v Speaker 1>a man of man of very interesting words. There, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>death Sith coming in with another five. Pizza Hut anyone? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>pizza hut used to be a favorite of mine. James
<v Speaker 1>Crawford with another thirty because you love it so love? Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I do. I love that super check I had. I
<v Speaker 1>had a lot of fun making that one. James, James
<v Speaker 1>is like the mailman. Look at this guy, he's always delivering.
<v Speaker 1>Nicholas with another five, can't wait for the next season
<v Speaker 1>of Unreal With a scripted scene of Michael Hayes pitching
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea's win for pr appearances she earned this moment. Yeah
<v Speaker 1>he'll take credit for it. He'll take credit for the idea.
<v Speaker 1>Bass Beer Seth is to Roman what Randy was to
<v Speaker 1>Sina mentioned that one before retro koh Sell Roberts for
<v Speaker 1>the red rooster, like the one that got thrown that
<v Speaker 1>got thrown at Cody. Oh my god, I forgot about
<v Speaker 1>the rubber chicken from WRESTLEMANI at thirty nine. Oh man,
<v Speaker 1>I forgot about that. It just it landed so perfectly too,
<v Speaker 1>like right next to him, Jeremy Rose with a ten.
<v Speaker 1>I thought the Knight should have ended with Oba confronting Rome.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I was wondering about that as they were
<v Speaker 1>getting ready to go off the air. I was waiting
<v Speaker 1>to see if the lights were going to go out
<v Speaker 1>and then Oba was going to come out and we
<v Speaker 1>were going to get a big face to face. But
<v Speaker 1>if they're not going to do the match soon, then
<v Speaker 1>I guess there's no point in teasing people like that.
<v Speaker 1>If you're gonna do that, then you have to go
<v Speaker 1>to that match. Next said, tonight was way better than
<v Speaker 1>last night, but the bar is super low. Hopefully punk
<v Speaker 1>Ko and Orton Cody Fuse picked things up, but I
<v Speaker 1>doubt it. Look I hope so because SmackDown needs all
<v Speaker 1>the help it can get, and Raw, honestly is has
<v Speaker 1>not been much better. Now that Summer Slim is in
<v Speaker 1>the books, hopefully we get some new stories and starting Monday,
<v Speaker 1>we'll see what the direction is going to be. Schiff
<v Speaker 1>is back again, glad to see Chelsea get her due.
<v Speaker 1>She brings fun and shows up ready to work even
<v Speaker 1>when injured. Now do Solo Soca and La Knight? Well?
<v Speaker 1>La Night? Of course, the jury is out on that one.
<v Speaker 1>Solo Socoa though, again, I really hope they just let
<v Speaker 1>him keep doing his thing. He will continue to get over.
<v Speaker 1>Just let him continue to do his thing. Jeremy says,
<v Speaker 1>don't know how we get there? Give me Penta and Seth. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they haven't worked together yet, have they? Solo Monsters lost Son.
<v Speaker 1>I can't believe my top five favorite are all on
<v Speaker 1>the same brand. Ilia. Ilia, Who's that? I don't know
<v Speaker 1>who that is? Who is this Ilia that you speak of?
<v Speaker 1>He says, Ilia, Punk, Randy Ko, and Cody, Now please
<v Speaker 1>just bring Ilia back to TV. Yeah, I just I
<v Speaker 1>stopped even thinking about it. Jeremy rose with a ten
<v Speaker 1>What if the story is Roman says, Oh, but you
<v Speaker 1>ain't ready rookie and avoid he ain't ready. He ain't ready.
<v Speaker 1>He beat the Beast twice, he won King of the Ring.
<v Speaker 1>Roman says, Oba, you ain't ready and avoids the match.
<v Speaker 1>Oba continues to destroy the roster. Roman shows up every
<v Speaker 1>three weeks and says, not enough, delaying the until WrestleMania. Boy,
<v Speaker 1>that sounds so exciting. That sounds so exciting. Roman shows
<v Speaker 1>up every three weeks and says, not good enough, and
<v Speaker 1>we just drag things out until we get to April
<v Speaker 1>of next year. That sounds like exciting TV. That site says,
<v Speaker 1>I just hope they don't have Oba win the Royal
<v Speaker 1>Rumble and have Oba give his shot to the Rock,
<v Speaker 1>because that would be stupid. Oh wait, they already did
<v Speaker 1>that with Cody. Oh. I fully expect Oba is winning
<v Speaker 1>the Rumble next year. You know, in his rookie year,
<v Speaker 1>Brock won King of the Ring, he won the championship,
<v Speaker 1>he beat Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell, and then
<v Speaker 1>he won his first Royal Rumble. And I think they're
<v Speaker 1>going to follow, maybe without winning the title this year,
<v Speaker 1>but they're going to follow the same blueprint with Oba. Femi.
<v Speaker 1>Larry Jester says, how do you think a boss Man
<v Speaker 1>Intercontinental title run would have gone. I think he would
<v Speaker 1>have been very popular, and I think he would have
<v Speaker 1>probably held it for I don't know, six months or
<v Speaker 1>less and then dropped it to you know, whoever the
<v Speaker 1>new heel was they were trying to get over, but
<v Speaker 1>he was very popular. He's a very popular babyface. I
<v Speaker 1>think it would have gone fine. I think it would
<v Speaker 1>have gone well. Derek J speaks, what if when they
<v Speaker 1>do Rhea and Chelsea, Tiffany cost Chelsea the match and
<v Speaker 1>officially turns heel, then we get a Chelsea Tiffany feud
<v Speaker 1>as a clear face versus heel. Sure, and you could
<v Speaker 1>do that for the US title if Tiffany still has it.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy Rose, imagine how Kevin Owen's winning the title will
<v Speaker 1>set off Sammy. Oh, he's not going to be very
<v Speaker 1>happy about any of this. Has his breaking point. Bace
<v Speaker 1>Beer is taker not Austin showing up at WrestleMania forty
<v Speaker 1>was confusing. Yeah, it should have been Austin, but he
<v Speaker 1>didn't want to do it. What are you gonna do?
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna have a stone Cold look alike go out there.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna have Stone Cold et show up at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>gonna have Will Sasso in a bald cap. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>what are they supposed to do? He doesn't want to
<v Speaker 1>show up. He doesn't want to show up. Schiff says
<v Speaker 1>my boy Finn's face when Gunther and Ko came to
<v Speaker 1>the ring basically whatever, Yeah, because he knew his goose
<v Speaker 1>was cooked at that point. He's like, oh, well, I'll
<v Speaker 1>be hitting the showers in the next seven minutes. Bace
<v Speaker 1>Beer says they missed a chance to have an ad
<v Speaker 1>on the wood under the ring back Pine Sol where
<v Speaker 1>something would have been appropriate. Well, now you're giving them
<v Speaker 1>ideas for next time. We have cn M with a
<v Speaker 1>nine ninety nine and Seth looked exactly like buzz Lightyear
<v Speaker 1>with that entrance jacket and the pants. Well the difference,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, buzz Lightyear is cool, So that's the difference.
<v Speaker 1>I very much enjoyed that main event and very happy
<v Speaker 1>to see Gable get his moment, appreciate all the hard work.
<v Speaker 1>Seldom thank you. CNM Basce bears. Is Nightbot in be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker? No, Nightbot is in the chat. Night Bot
<v Speaker 1>is not in be the Booker. I believe Nightbot is
<v Speaker 1>in the chat. Uh. Yes, Nightbot is in the chat.
<v Speaker 1>How's it going, Nightbot? Everybody say hello to Nightbod. Always inspecting.
<v Speaker 1>In the chat, Aaron says, did you see WWE is
<v Speaker 1>putting exclusive raw and smackdowns on Club WWE? I guess
<v Speaker 1>they aren't going to put the raws on Netflix and
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna Nickel and dime people in STU. That's the
<v Speaker 1>that's their mo. They're gonna Nickel and dime ye until
<v Speaker 1>they get every fucking penny out of your pocket. They've
<v Speaker 1>had a raw vault on Netflix now for what a
<v Speaker 1>year and a half, whatever it's been two years. It's
<v Speaker 1>it's pathetic. The selection of raws are pathetic on the
<v Speaker 1>Raw vault. The worst thing that ever happened was the
<v Speaker 1>WWE network going away. Bace Bears says, is La Night
<v Speaker 1>above Dominic in the rankings? Now? I mean you should be.
<v Speaker 1>He lost the fucking Dan Hausen and La Knight pinje Uso,
<v Speaker 1>so why wouldn't he be above him in the rankings
<v Speaker 1>if there were rankings. I meant to say, bron doesn't
<v Speaker 1>need the vision. Yes, I you and I so I
<v Speaker 1>knew exactly what you meant. Death Saith also says, I
<v Speaker 1>know live in Chelsea are on different brands, but I like,
<v Speaker 1>but like I keep saying, like that matters. Oh, it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't matter. They could do whatever they want. Alex brother
<v Speaker 1>solo for a very brief moment when Roman and Seth
<v Speaker 1>were doing the shield fist thing, well they were fisting.
<v Speaker 1>That's what they were doing. You could you could say it.
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Seth were fisting in the middle of the
<v Speaker 1>ring at the end of SummerSlam. I mean, you just
<v Speaker 1>got to call it what it is. But he says,
<v Speaker 1>for a very brief moment, and when the music faded,
<v Speaker 1>I thought rock would come out. I keep telling people
<v Speaker 1>like they're like, oh, because there were some people even
<v Speaker 1>going into Summer Slom. Maybe the rock is going to
<v Speaker 1>come out. Maybe that's why they're doing Roman on night two,
<v Speaker 1>and the rock is going to come out. Like you guys,
<v Speaker 1>you got to give it up. You got to stop
<v Speaker 1>doing this to yourself. When will you learn? When will
<v Speaker 1>you learn your life? Bace Beers says, waiting for the
<v Speaker 1>next season of Raw Underground. They still do the underground
<v Speaker 1>stuff in NXT, don't they. NXT Underground. Nick Rosso glad
<v Speaker 1>to see Kevin Owens back, and I love that he
<v Speaker 1>showed love to Rebel during his post show speech and
<v Speaker 1>speaking of rebel love that aw was doing a rebel
<v Speaker 1>theme Dynamite and Britt Baker needs to be on that show. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they have a Rebel Heart edition of Dynamite coming up
<v Speaker 1>in early September to raise awareness and I think money
<v Speaker 1>for als to Ko shout her out on the post show.
<v Speaker 1>That's very cool. You know, Tony Kahn did the ice
<v Speaker 1>Bucket Challenge the other day and I was kind of
<v Speaker 1>low key hoping that he would nominate, like Paul Levek
<v Speaker 1>and Nick Kahn put them on the spot. They should
<v Speaker 1>totally do it. If there's one thing that I think
<v Speaker 1>all of this tribalist or competitive bullshit should be set
<v Speaker 1>aside for that's the sort of thing that should trump that.
<v Speaker 1>Jeremy says, so OVA wins Royal Rumble and then says
<v Speaker 1>that I'm owed two title shots now and we'll be
<v Speaker 1>in both nights main events and wins both belts. Goat. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>let's not do that. Let's not do that. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think that's a good idea. We have. Link Master is
<v Speaker 1>miss top one hundred of all time, excellent career, dude.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even have a top one hundred list. Is
<v Speaker 1>he top one hundred on my list if I had one, No,
<v Speaker 1>But I mean in WWE history, if you were basing
<v Speaker 1>it on accomplishments, sure, Sure, WWE Champion, twice, Intercontinental Champion,
<v Speaker 1>United States Champion, Tag team Champion, headline WrestleMania, money in
<v Speaker 1>the bank, the longevity that he's had in that company
<v Speaker 1>over twenty years. You know he's a WWE Hall of Famer.
<v Speaker 1>Is he in my top one hundred. No. There's been
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people that have been wrestling over these decades.
<v Speaker 1>Not everybody is going to be in the top one hundred.
<v Speaker 1>Big g say, he's not even in the top five hundred.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look, you said it. I didn't say you
<v Speaker 1>said it. Aaron says buy or sell better, attires Sean
<v Speaker 1>Michaels or macho man. Oh, macho man. See the thing
<v Speaker 1>with macho men is he would wear some ridiculous outfits,
<v Speaker 1>but it just it worked for him because he was
<v Speaker 1>a fucking psycho, and you would think that a crazy
<v Speaker 1>guy like that would probably wear something like that. With Seth,
<v Speaker 1>when he does it, it's like he's trying to be
<v Speaker 1>macho man. He's trying too hard. For Macho. It just
<v Speaker 1>felt like it came natural. Does that make sense, didn't
<v Speaker 1>feel like he was playing a part, like that's who
<v Speaker 1>he is. Like I could believe that if he was
<v Speaker 1>walking around in his everyday life, he would have that
<v Speaker 1>like ridiculous hat on his head because he was probably
<v Speaker 1>trying to protect, you know, cover up the balding that
<v Speaker 1>he was going through. So I could picture him wearing
<v Speaker 1>a hat like that. All right, So the likes goal
<v Speaker 1>was a thousand. We are currently over eleven hundred, and
<v Speaker 1>we hit the bonus goal, which actually I'm going to start.
<v Speaker 1>We do these. We do these occasional bonuses where you know,
<v Speaker 1>if we hit it, we uh toss out bonus for actually,
<v Speaker 1>we might even toss out an intergender about that intergender round. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's an ambitious one. I just throw that out there
<v Speaker 1>one super chat, but it's a big one. So anyway,
<v Speaker 1>that'll be the bonus bonus goal. But we did hit
<v Speaker 1>the bonus. You guys are awesome, and so let's go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and do it. It's time to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>You're over two hours into this stream, and it is
<v Speaker 1>finally time to be the booker. A wink the cosmic Grandma,
<v Speaker 1>It says domter Ray. They're putting me over Sina Ray
<v Speaker 1>to Dom, so you can put over Dan Housen. That's right,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I forgot. I forgot that Dom did beat
<v Speaker 1>Seena at Survivor Series last year. Man and the Saint
<v Speaker 1>Claire says back at the Hotel from Summer Slim, it
<v Speaker 1>was good six out of ten. Yeah, I mean that
<v Speaker 1>sounds about right. I'm willing to go as high as
<v Speaker 1>seven for the for the entire weekend, but I can't
<v Speaker 1>go and that's I feel like that's being generous, but
<v Speaker 1>I can't go higher than that. It was not a
<v Speaker 1>great Summer Slim, but it had its moments, more so
<v Speaker 1>tonight than Night one. All right, here we go, tag
<v Speaker 1>Team be the booker. We have for Axiom, Nathan Fraser
<v Speaker 1>and Axium, the former NXT Tag Team champions. They were
<v Speaker 1>a great team in an X tape. They really were.
<v Speaker 1>We have Phraxium against the real Americans Cesaro and Jack Swagger.
<v Speaker 1>I think that would be a great match. I feel
<v Speaker 1>like those four would really work well together. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Phraxium is a smaller team. These guys are are bigger.
<v Speaker 1>They have the size advantage. Nathan Frazer is just ridiculous
<v Speaker 1>this when it comes to the speed that he wrestles,
<v Speaker 1>it's ridiculous. I think that could be a fun match.
<v Speaker 1>I do. All right, Women's be the booker. We have
<v Speaker 1>got Mayu Ewa Tani, a legend in her own right.
<v Speaker 1>Some people want to see her in WWE I don't
<v Speaker 1>not after the booking of Julie. Yeah, Mayu Ewaitani against
<v Speaker 1>the lovely Maurice. Always have a soft spot for Maurice.
<v Speaker 1>Her character work more than her in ring. Her character
<v Speaker 1>work was on point. And now we have our first
<v Speaker 1>main event and in the main event Ricky Saints who
<v Speaker 1>wrestled Carmelo Hayes on main event last week, Ricky Saints
<v Speaker 1>said did not make his first Summer slim. Maybe next
<v Speaker 1>year Mayu would murder Maurice. Well that I mean that
<v Speaker 1>goes without saying Ricky Saints against c Punk and funny enough,
<v Speaker 1>we actually have seen that match before. That is a
<v Speaker 1>match that we have gotten before. I believe we were
<v Speaker 1>supposed to get that in a strap match, weren't we
<v Speaker 1>But we ended up getting him and Danielson instead because
<v Speaker 1>Punk Punk, Left Punk Went Away? Is that the sequence
<v Speaker 1>of events? Am I remembering correctly? Okay, you guys have
<v Speaker 1>unlocked a bonus round. You get one more round of
<v Speaker 1>be the booker. Can we do the double sweep? I
<v Speaker 1>got the chime ready and waiting if we do. Our
<v Speaker 1>first match is going to be a buried alive match.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking of Julia, I feel like we should start with
<v Speaker 1>the women in tribute to her. We're gonna have a
<v Speaker 1>women's buried live match. You know Julia is in here.
<v Speaker 1>It would be very appropriate if we landed on her.
<v Speaker 1>You hear me, be the booker, I'm talking to you.
<v Speaker 1>I know you can hear me. Some of the people
<v Speaker 1>that we land on sometimes you can hear every word.
<v Speaker 1>I'm saying, we need Julia in this buried live match.
<v Speaker 1>Bianca bell Aire, God, I miss Bianca? Oh? I missed
<v Speaker 1>Bianca Belair. Did she have her baby yet? She looked
<v Speaker 1>like she was ready to pop Like over a week ago.
<v Speaker 1>Bianca in a buried live match against Who against Ivory
<v Speaker 1>Bianca and Ivory. See Ivory was a good wrestler. People
<v Speaker 1>don't realize that she goes back to the glow days.
<v Speaker 1>This was a shitty gimmick. But ginam already. I mean
<v Speaker 1>she was a good wrestler. Her and Bianca. I think
<v Speaker 1>they could put together a very good match. Our second match,
<v Speaker 1>a brawl for All match. Oh god, yeah, Naomi. I
<v Speaker 1>forgot about Naomi too. Yeah, where's Naomi? It's been over
<v Speaker 1>a year. Actually it actually, no, it hasn't. It's been
<v Speaker 1>about a year. It's been about a year. All right,
<v Speaker 1>brawl for all match. There are some people who just
<v Speaker 1>don't belong in a brawl for All match. Let's hope
<v Speaker 1>we don't pick those people tonight. Now, this guy looks
<v Speaker 1>like he just came from a Brawl for All match.
<v Speaker 1>We have Eddie Kingston, the Mad King. You'll be able
<v Speaker 1>to see him this far in the main event of
<v Speaker 1>House of Glory, challenging Charles Mason for the World Championship.
<v Speaker 1>I may have to insist that we get this version
<v Speaker 1>of Eddie when he shows up. Take I mean, look
<v Speaker 1>at this guy. Does he not look like he would
<v Speaker 1>belong in a Brawl for All match? Come on, it's
<v Speaker 1>very appropriate. Eddie Kingston and Buddy Matthews. I think Eddie
<v Speaker 1>is going down. I'm sorry, Eddie, but I think you're
<v Speaker 1>done for I think we can. I think we can
<v Speaker 1>all agree on the outcome of this match. All right,
<v Speaker 1>last one. Here we go, the final main event of
<v Speaker 1>the evening. We are so close to perfection. We are
<v Speaker 1>so close. I could taste that, I could feel it.
<v Speaker 1>A Texas Death match. I mean, we've seen so many
<v Speaker 1>of these. I feel nothing. We know it's gonna be violent,
<v Speaker 1>we know it's gonna be gory, we know it's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be bloody. I know. We got Hangman floating around in
<v Speaker 1>here somewhere right. He's been in some Texas Death matches
<v Speaker 1>in his day. We have Cruse Montana as he is
<v Speaker 1>currently known to me, he will always be Mike Santana.
<v Speaker 1>Mike Santana, Cruz Montana in a Texas death match against
<v Speaker 1>Jack Perry. Oh boy, Jack Perry is going to suffer
<v Speaker 1>a grizzly fate here in this Texas deathmatch. I'm going
<v Speaker 1>with Cruz Montana. He's my pick to win. See, he's
<v Speaker 1>in New Yorker. He's in New Yorker. This guy right here,
<v Speaker 1>he's from Hollywood. He don't stand the chance. Yeah, real glass.
<v Speaker 1>He'll get some glass, all right, He'll get some glass
<v Speaker 1>in his eye. That's what he'll get. Man, I love
<v Speaker 1>that chi, I love that chime. I love it when
<v Speaker 1>we go back to back like that with the sweeps.
<v Speaker 1>That's awesome. All right, final super chats here we have
<v Speaker 1>Holiday one ninety seven. Punk versus Owens had the potential
<v Speaker 1>to be great, especially if they turn it or I
<v Speaker 1>think you mean has the potential if they turn it
<v Speaker 1>into a heated feud and extend it over a few matches.
<v Speaker 1>But Owens won't win the title, even though he deserves it. Well,
<v Speaker 1>he should win the title. I endorse a Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>run as the WWE champion, and so does Deadly Ace,
<v Speaker 1>right right, Welcome to the channel. Look how excited Cody is.
<v Speaker 1>And then we have link Master. Never forget Shinsky Nakamora
<v Speaker 1>won a royal rumble. Indeed he did. Don't forget that.
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens has never been the WWE champion, and he's
<v Speaker 1>been on television here for about a decade. But Ginder
<v Speaker 1>Mahal has always remember that. Let that seep into your brain.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you guys for hanging out with me two nights
<v Speaker 1>in a row. We had a big night on night one.
<v Speaker 1>We had a bigger night here on night two. You
<v Speaker 1>guys killed it. Well over eleven hundred likes killed it
<v Speaker 1>on the super chats, a lot of great questions, some
<v Speaker 1>weird ones. I'm not gonna lie, there were some weird
<v Speaker 1>ones in there too. But that was a very busy
<v Speaker 1>weekend of wrestling. If you missed the Sound of Today
<v Speaker 1>episode nine seventy four, yes there was a sound off
<v Speaker 1>sandwiched in between all of this Summer Slam madness covered
<v Speaker 1>a lot of ground on there. I didn't get to
<v Speaker 1>the aw stuff. I'm gonna save that. I have a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of aw thoughts coming out of Dynamite last week.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna save that for the Uncrowned Wrestling show on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>That's the beauty of having Uncrowned on Tuesdays. Not only
<v Speaker 1>talk about all the big news stories, but anything I
<v Speaker 1>didn't have time for or anything that may have broken
<v Speaker 1>after the Sound of We'll cover that on Tuesday, but
<v Speaker 1>go check that out. It includes my dark Side of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring review on the Big boss Man episode from
<v Speaker 1>this past week. Tomorrow we start a brand new week
<v Speaker 1>and we have the Raw post show, first Raw coming
<v Speaker 1>out of Summer Slam, so we're gonna and the debut
<v Speaker 1>the return of Big Casts on Raw will he have
<v Speaker 1>Enzo with him. Are they saving Enzo as a surprise
<v Speaker 1>or are they truly gonna bring him in on his
<v Speaker 1>own as a single I hope they do. Tuesday will
<v Speaker 1>be as I mentioned, Uncrowned. That'll be dropping later in
<v Speaker 1>the day and then live on Tuesday Night for Tuesday
<v Speaker 1>Night Titans. Wednesday is the Dynamite post show, which is
<v Speaker 1>also the Grand Slam Mexico post show, which is looking
<v Speaker 1>very stacked. I will not be here on Friday for SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>I will be live at the NYC Arena. For House
<v Speaker 1>of Glory, we are gonna be streaming the entire show
<v Speaker 1>live and free for the first time on the House
<v Speaker 1>of Glory YouTube channel, So if you want to drop in,
<v Speaker 1>you'll hear me on commentary for that show. We got
<v Speaker 1>a lot of big names coming in. It's gonna be big.
<v Speaker 1>So it's gonna be a very busy week. Let's have
<v Speaker 1>a very strong month of August. I can't do it
<v Speaker 1>without you, guys. Navy forty one eighty one do you
<v Speaker 1>think Gunther's Boston crab on Finn was an homage to
<v Speaker 1>Rick Martel, who was in attendance. I hope it increases
<v Speaker 1>the chances of a Hall of Fame induction. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I think I've seen I mean, Gunter's done that move before,
<v Speaker 1>so I'm gonna say no. I mean, it would be
<v Speaker 1>kind of cool if it was. I don't think so, though. Youause,
<v Speaker 1>somebody mentioned in the chat before about Seth's entrance, and
<v Speaker 1>I thought I saw something. I didn't comment on it
<v Speaker 1>because I wasn't sure it was. So it was so
<v Speaker 1>quick when they did the shield intro bit before they
<v Speaker 1>played Seth's current theme music, I thought I saw a
<v Speaker 1>silhouette over by the stage where it looked like Seth
<v Speaker 1>might be coming out in the tactical gear, and then
<v Speaker 1>they just played his current music and then he just
<v Speaker 1>came out in his clown outfit. So, I mean, it
<v Speaker 1>looked to me like I thought Seth was maybe in
<v Speaker 1>the shield gear. But maybe maybe I just was seeing things,
<v Speaker 1>or maybe they was some decoy that they had dressed
<v Speaker 1>up as Seth from the shield but you could kind
<v Speaker 1>of just barely make it out. I did notice that,
<v Speaker 1>but I thought maybe I was just imagining things. You
<v Speaker 1>saw it too, okay, so I wasn't the only one. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, maybe they had somebody dressed up as Seth.
<v Speaker 1>And whoever it was, you just saw the outline of them.
<v Speaker 1>It's weird, though, because how many people even picked up
<v Speaker 1>on that, Like the people in the stadium, did they
<v Speaker 1>even see that? Would they even have noticed? Hey, Saint Clair,
<v Speaker 1>you were there, did you even notice that? Anyway, the
<v Speaker 1>shield is dead. Now we could finally move beyond that.
<v Speaker 1>It only took fourteen years. It's time to move on.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I'm gonna do right now. Have yourselves a
<v Speaker 1>good night. I'll see you for the raw post show
<v Speaker 1>tomorrow and all the other content. Thank you, guys for
<v Speaker 1>the love. I appreciate it.
