<v Speaker 2>very unique wine tasting event. Fourteen different hand picked wine stations,
<v Speaker 2>live DJ, photo booth, a lot of fun activities for
<v Speaker 2>Mixed one hundred, and this is going on when they
<v Speaker 2>closed the park. Essentially, it's gonna be nice and quiet
<v Speaker 2>so you can drink in peace. Yeah, you gotta be
<v Speaker 2>twenty one and up to join us at this event.
<v Speaker 2>But we have two different ticket tiers GA General Mission
<v Speaker 2>GA or vip Ooh I think Katie hands out backrubs
<v Speaker 2>with the VIP admission.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah nice.
<v Speaker 2>If you want to buy tickets, all you have to
<v Speaker 2>do is go to mix one hundred dot com slash
<v Speaker 2>wine time to check it out. I saw some more
<v Speaker 2>pictures of Katie Lane and her hammock watching TV.
<v Speaker 1>That was to commemorate five years of hard work. I
<v Speaker 1>just want you to know.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, weekend, well it just Saturday was actually the
<v Speaker 3>anniversary of when I moved back to Denver. I did
<v Speaker 3>not have a job, I didn't have a place to live,
<v Speaker 3>I didn't really have a plan. I just believed in
<v Speaker 3>myself and my abilities. I was like, we're gonna do it, girl,
<v Speaker 3>We're gonna do it. And so that was kind of
<v Speaker 3>it is. I was like, you know, five years ago,
<v Speaker 3>I didn't know where which way.
<v Speaker 1>My life was gonna go.
<v Speaker 3>And now I'm laying in my hammock watching TV for
<v Speaker 3>my balcony. So I think we good.
<v Speaker 2>You did good kids. But that was at Alcahammic. Thank
<v Speaker 2>you World, And then Josh was spouting off about how
<v Speaker 2>you got picked up by a bachelorette party or something
<v Speaker 2>their bachelor party.
<v Speaker 4>Well, yes, that'll.
<v Speaker 5>Princess Pilot had a bachelorette party that she was going
<v Speaker 5>to down in the Springs, and she was like, hey,
<v Speaker 5>like they booked a room all for myself.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not sharing with anybody. Would you just want to
<v Speaker 4>come down?
<v Speaker 5>It was an overnight thing and I was I was like, yeah,
<v Speaker 5>that sounds like a blast. Actually it was at shyan
<v Speaker 5>Mountain Resort, which I had never been to. Beautiful area
<v Speaker 5>first of all, a nice little resort with a golf
<v Speaker 5>course and the Shyanne Mountain View Grill. I believe I
<v Speaker 5>remember that name correctly.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 5>I got to hang out by myself, go golfing and
<v Speaker 5>totally like tag along with her, use the pool, use
<v Speaker 5>the amenities as she went off with her little friends
<v Speaker 5>for a little bachelorette party. It was awesome. That was
<v Speaker 5>so much fun to do. I've never done anything like that.
<v Speaker 5>And uh yeah, then she just came back in the
<v Speaker 5>little you know, tipsy with her friends at like eleven
<v Speaker 5>pm with like, I was.
<v Speaker 4>So much fun. I had a blast. Okay, let's go
<v Speaker 4>to sleep good night. Yeah that's what it was awesome.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, Yeah, it was so much fun though, because I'd
<v Speaker 5>never been able to just have like a kind of
<v Speaker 5>staycation thing just for myself. I got paired with a
<v Speaker 5>random guy named Jared. I went golfing on Saturday. Absolute
<v Speaker 5>jar you super nice guy who oddly enough was kind
<v Speaker 5>of staying away from his wife as she was doing
<v Speaker 5>her uh like sauna spa day thing as well. Absolute blast.
<v Speaker 5>I totally recommend going on a little I'm looking at.
<v Speaker 2>The pictures of it. It's a beautiful, uh little resort
<v Speaker 2>area it is. It's a really nice The pool looks awesome.
<v Speaker 4>I would like, yeah, I would do it again. It was.
<v Speaker 4>It was really cool. I had never been there again.
<v Speaker 5>It's like a couple of blocks away from the Broadmoor anyway,
<v Speaker 5>so I was super familiar with the area itself.
<v Speaker 2>But it's got a four point eight on trip Advisor.
<v Speaker 2>Does it really Yeah? Well that was a lot of
<v Speaker 2>handcrafted stone and big wood beams.
<v Speaker 4>It does.
<v Speaker 5>I give it two thumbs up. Man, it was really fun.
<v Speaker 5>I really enjoyed that they have.
<v Speaker 2>Like indoor tennis courts and stuff, because they got a
<v Speaker 2>big bubble out there.
<v Speaker 5>I did not go to that, so I can't speak
<v Speaker 5>for that. They might it might be some pickleball courts
<v Speaker 5>or something as well.
<v Speaker 2>High acting, but.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, really cool area, really.
<v Speaker 5>Ross was awesome, and yeah, I had a blast, and
<v Speaker 5>I know what it costs.
<v Speaker 4>No, it was covered.
<v Speaker 2>I'm just looking.
<v Speaker 4>I just taxed it a lot. It doesn't express a lot.
<v Speaker 2>I just clicked on two Night's Day and just said, damn.
<v Speaker 2>As we start our day, guys, I just want to
<v Speaker 2>read you something really quick. There's a list out of
<v Speaker 2>the highest paid podcasters this morning. Joe Rogan's making eighty
<v Speaker 2>two million a year, Ashley Flowers Crime Junkie forty two million,
<v Speaker 2>Mel Robbins thirty five million, Jason and Travis Kelcey thirty
<v Speaker 2>five million, Alex Cooper call Her Daddy thirty two million,
<v Speaker 2>Charlemagne they God twenty seven million.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, Charlomagne star it in radio.
<v Speaker 4>So you're saying there's a SAT.
<v Speaker 2>There's that Katie eight seventy five an hour.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, I at least make minimum.
<v Speaker 2>Wait, come on, good for them.
<v Speaker 4>I'm sad.
<v Speaker 1>I know way to start money, start sharing things.
<v Speaker 2>It might be time to start a podcast.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm saying, hope, streets, it's over here.
<v Speaker 2>The market's not float out. I don't think I think
<v Speaker 2>I get hop right now.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, nobody's doing a podcast.
<v Speaker 2>This is a new thing. So I think there's a chance,
<v Speaker 2>all right, Staffords mans Utter sports Uh. Tony Romo, CBS
<v Speaker 2>sports lead, NFL analyst, former Dallas Cowboy quarterback. He's on
<v Speaker 2>leave right now after his DUI arrest in Milliewaukee. Did
<v Speaker 2>you guys see all the video of that, like a
<v Speaker 2>lot of stretching, Yeah, stretch? Why would you when you
<v Speaker 2>got it, you got the world at your fingertips? Why
<v Speaker 2>would you do that?
<v Speaker 6>So?
<v Speaker 5>Why would he lie to a cop about where he
<v Speaker 5>was going? Did you see someone report like an obituary report?
<v Speaker 5>Both of his both sides of his dead parents have
<v Speaker 5>been dead for like twelve years.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And then they found shooters and stuff in his car. Man,
<v Speaker 2>I'll never understand that, you know, when you're that famous
<v Speaker 2>and that well known, that you go and you do
<v Speaker 2>some drunk driving.
<v Speaker 1>Now, especially when there's all the ubers and lifts and
<v Speaker 1>you know, so many ways.
<v Speaker 3>For him to get around, and he's obviously not hurting
<v Speaker 3>for money, so it's like, you have all the options.
<v Speaker 3>There's literally no excuse for this at all. So that's
<v Speaker 3>what's frustrating about it.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, come on, Tony.
<v Speaker 2>Come on, Tony Romo, don't you know No? Yeah, Tony
<v Speaker 2>Romo did a no no, and then finally for me,
<v Speaker 2>I got this story here and it just made my
<v Speaker 2>day because I think about a week ago I went
<v Speaker 2>off on the air about Dinger for your Colorado Rockies
<v Speaker 2>and how he is the worst mascot ever because he
<v Speaker 2>doesn't do anything. He just stands there like a big dummy.
<v Speaker 1>He's adorable.
<v Speaker 2>He looks confused at all times. He's like, what am
<v Speaker 2>I doing here? I have no I have no special
<v Speaker 2>skills or talents.
<v Speaker 1>I want to hug him so bad.
<v Speaker 2>It's like a lot of our interns here. They just
<v Speaker 2>kinda stand around, have no idea what they're doing, and
<v Speaker 2>I want to hug them. And I have no special
<v Speaker 2>skills or talents.
<v Speaker 1>You're gonna be great.
<v Speaker 2>The best mascots in Major League Baseball list was revealed
<v Speaker 2>from Ranker Solid.
<v Speaker 4>Is it gonna support your claim?
<v Speaker 2>Philly Fanatic number one? All day long? That is a
<v Speaker 2>mascot with skills and talents and they deserve it.
<v Speaker 1>Dances Fanatic gets me every time.
<v Speaker 2>Guess who came in at number freaking two.
<v Speaker 1>Dinger.
<v Speaker 2>Dinger came in as the second best MLB mascot.
<v Speaker 4>Are you kidding me?
<v Speaker 1>Are you kidding me. He has horns?
<v Speaker 2>You ridiculous?
<v Speaker 1>Bs.
<v Speaker 4>Is this that rides around on a little trike thing?
<v Speaker 1>No, he's so, you know.
<v Speaker 3>And also when I went to the Father's Day game,
<v Speaker 3>Dinger's dad was there.
<v Speaker 1>He's got a whole.
<v Speaker 3>Family that supports It's where he gets it from, Chip
<v Speaker 3>off the old Block. But no, I'm well, he's a
<v Speaker 3>lot like you, you know what.
<v Speaker 2>He just lays around and eats.
<v Speaker 1>Lets his dinosaur light shine. People appreciate him for what
<v Speaker 1>he is, and he got front to be anything else.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know why you're talking smack over their homie
<v Speaker 3>looking a little lumpy.
<v Speaker 2>Felt right now? Okay, you kidding me?
<v Speaker 4>You kidding.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just saying, don't come here.
<v Speaker 2>I got double if are you kidding me today with
<v Speaker 2>Dinger and Mack?
<v Speaker 3>If you can't take what I'm dish now, don't don't
<v Speaker 3>serve it up to believe me.
<v Speaker 2>You know dishes, I'll tell you that. Should we post
<v Speaker 2>that video of you with the cake.
<v Speaker 1>This is fine, that's fine. I don't know what's wrong
<v Speaker 1>with that. That's a serving cake. I'm fine with that.
<v Speaker 4>I love you.
<v Speaker 2>But everyone's like post the video of the cake. I
<v Speaker 2>want to know what happened with Katie and the cake?
<v Speaker 2>You guys, I've never seen anything like it. I haven't either,
<v Speaker 2>I've never.
<v Speaker 1>Seen anything like what do you mean? I post videos
<v Speaker 1>like that.
<v Speaker 2>All the time, not when you were like mouth and
<v Speaker 2>a cake. I don't.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think so.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't seen that baby cake. Hey, it's an individual
<v Speaker 1>cake for one person.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think it matters. I really don't.
<v Speaker 2>All right, what else is going on in sports?
<v Speaker 1>All right?
<v Speaker 5>Well, yeah, football, NFL, It is in full swing right now.
<v Speaker 5>We actually have our first NFL game this week this
<v Speaker 5>Thursday is the Hall of Fame game. It's preseason, so
<v Speaker 5>it doesn't really matter. But a video was going viral
<v Speaker 5>over the weekend of the arch nemesis of the Denver Broncos,
<v Speaker 5>the Cancer He Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes and this guy
<v Speaker 5>is coming back from an ACL injury, so he's trying
<v Speaker 5>to work his way back and they said he is
<v Speaker 5>full go for a participating in training camp. And this dude,
<v Speaker 5>known for his accuracy, right, he throws a pass that
<v Speaker 5>is so bad I have never seen it in my life.
<v Speaker 5>It went directly to the back of the center's head,
<v Speaker 5>like it was so horrific. And I'm like, this guy's
<v Speaker 5>trying to make his way back into the NFL. Roncos
<v Speaker 5>fans were thrilled to see him actually struggle because it's
<v Speaker 5>just like a guy that you never struggle. It was
<v Speaker 5>one of the funniest videos. Check it out online. And
<v Speaker 5>then one more thing to top everything off. Over the weekend,
<v Speaker 5>a minor league baseball game was going and the commentator
<v Speaker 5>has a great call of a home run ball that
<v Speaker 5>you definitely.
<v Speaker 4>Don't want to see as a commentator.
<v Speaker 7>There's a high fly ball, please don't hit my truck
<v Speaker 7>way back there, and it's gone. It's a solo home
<v Speaker 7>run for Compton, is thirteenth of the year and it's
<v Speaker 7>one to nothing.
<v Speaker 2>It was close.
<v Speaker 7>It was close, Like I see my truck and I
<v Speaker 7>see where.
<v Speaker 2>It's almost hit the blue truck out there.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that guy over the fence.
<v Speaker 5>It actually goes out of the stadium, Like this guy
<v Speaker 5>got a hold of.
<v Speaker 4>It truck out there.
<v Speaker 5>You know, that's such a thing, you know, like that's
<v Speaker 5>one of those oh yeah, funny, funny, funny. He know
<v Speaker 5>the question, hold on, what do you do if that
<v Speaker 5>is your truck? Are you like liable for it? Who's
<v Speaker 5>liable for crashing the you know.
<v Speaker 8>What's blowing up.
<v Speaker 1>We've got receipts, We've got drummers, we've got Denver talking.
<v Speaker 3>It's the Mile High Hike with JKJ Legends and icons
<v Speaker 3>on one hundred were.
<v Speaker 2>Let's talk about all the big stories in the morning.
<v Speaker 2>By far the biggest news over the weekend, Spider Man
<v Speaker 2>Brand New Day had the second biggest opening weekend in
<v Speaker 2>domestic box office history, about three hundred and fifty five
<v Speaker 2>million bucks. Joshin saw it and said it was pretty
<v Speaker 2>darn good. There's a lot of web squirting throughout the
<v Speaker 2>whole thing, So, yeah, I hate everybody.
<v Speaker 3>For Spider Man movies, but it was I saw the
<v Speaker 3>popcorn bucket with the hand.
<v Speaker 2>It was like airy hand.
<v Speaker 4>They had his actual head, okay.
<v Speaker 5>And the one thing that I loved about it was
<v Speaker 5>I saw like fifteen or first of all most full
<v Speaker 5>theater I've seen in years, which I love, but there's
<v Speaker 5>about fifteen or sixteen fathers and sons showing up dressed
<v Speaker 5>to Spider Man.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that was the cutest thing ever.
<v Speaker 5>And I was like, that's like the first thing that's
<v Speaker 5>ever in my life made me want to have a kid.
<v Speaker 4>I was like, oh, that's so cute.
<v Speaker 1>I want to dress that.
<v Speaker 4>I do. I think it's adorable.
<v Speaker 2>So that was fun to a grown man dressed as
<v Speaker 2>Spider Man this weekend. Jeremy, you know what, I can't
<v Speaker 2>I can't say anything because I went to the he
<v Speaker 2>Man movie with a he Man T shirt.
<v Speaker 1>Only I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>There's something. There's something different there about full Spider Man
<v Speaker 2>costume versus very T shirt.
<v Speaker 5>It's very tight, I dig it. And those men look
<v Speaker 5>that the thing they're not in the shape that Spider
<v Speaker 5>Man is it.
<v Speaker 2>Whenever you go to comic Hunt or something, there's always
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of dudes dressed as Spider Man and it's
<v Speaker 2>very bulgy. And yes, they're just sh they're down with
<v Speaker 2>the thickness.
<v Speaker 3>Some of them are. Some of them, you know, look
<v Speaker 3>really good in that Spider Man.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's a few for you the last comic there's
<v Speaker 2>a few.
<v Speaker 1>Not everyone looks bad. You can't group everyone in that.
<v Speaker 1>There's some people.
<v Speaker 4>You're right in the park, you know.
<v Speaker 1>And I followed that guy around a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>Let me see that little spidy bed uh Ariana Grande
<v Speaker 2>is in the hype today. I guess she's going to
<v Speaker 2>be stepping away from the public eye once she wrapped
<v Speaker 2>because everyone's too mean. Yeah, this tour. She's also dropping
<v Speaker 2>out of some sort of musical next summer out in London.
<v Speaker 2>Uh outgrow been growing concern for her health. Yeah, she's
<v Speaker 2>kind of withering away, isn't She looks.
<v Speaker 3>Again like people I feel again, there's that comment from
<v Speaker 3>both of you, the fact that you both think you
<v Speaker 3>can talk about her like that is why she's going away.
<v Speaker 2>They think, well, she she's incredibly skinny, she doesn't look good.
<v Speaker 2>But I will say they are saying that the shows
<v Speaker 2>that she is putting on very physical show.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, she's at the height of her career right now,
<v Speaker 3>and I think that people forget that, like she's doing
<v Speaker 3>a lot. So Yeah, I think that, like for her
<v Speaker 3>to have to quit what she's doing because she can't
<v Speaker 3>take the comments, I just feel so bad for her.
<v Speaker 5>Well, it's really I mean, you want to see someone
<v Speaker 5>who's already not like what Jeremy said, down with the
<v Speaker 5>thickness or anything like, lose so much weight.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, there is an obvious concern there, right, I mean.
<v Speaker 2>I mean I think there there might be something there
<v Speaker 2>if she is stepping away, if everything was fired wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>she say screw you, guys, I'm just gonna keep performing.
<v Speaker 5>She has planned this, this, the stepping away has been
<v Speaker 5>planned for a while, she said a while back, after
<v Speaker 5>this album and tour, She's like, I'm taking time off.
<v Speaker 5>It's the same with Ed Sheeron, he said, I'm taking
<v Speaker 5>years off. I think when you tour for decades at
<v Speaker 5>this point for you do want some time off.
<v Speaker 4>So that's been planned. But she just looks very different.
<v Speaker 4>She looks very different than.
<v Speaker 2>She has changed for sure. Absolutely. All right, So here's
<v Speaker 2>some bad news from the American Red Cross. They say
<v Speaker 2>that the national blood supply has dropped to a four
<v Speaker 2>year summer low. They are looking mostly for type OH
<v Speaker 2>positive blood right now, the type that's used for a
<v Speaker 2>large share of trans transfusion patients, and it has fallen
<v Speaker 2>below a one day supply. Oh wow, you guys know
<v Speaker 2>what type of blood you are?
<v Speaker 1>I do not.
<v Speaker 4>I don't either.
<v Speaker 2>I wonder how many people actually know what type of blood.
<v Speaker 4>They think I'm the universal receiver.
<v Speaker 2>Mine's red.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I have to.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, it's just really thick. Everybody call your mom today
<v Speaker 2>and find out what kind of blood you know and
<v Speaker 2>go donate. They say the extreme heat, poor air quality,
<v Speaker 2>and illnesses have reduced donor turnout. I believe it's next month.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be doing my pint for pint again, where
<v Speaker 2>you come out and you donate some blood and then
<v Speaker 2>we give you a voucher for a free pint of
<v Speaker 2>beer for your next visit at whatever brewery. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>choose here, but that'll hopefully help boost some Colorado blood donations.
<v Speaker 2>So keep an ear out for that. All right, Katie,
<v Speaker 2>what you got?
<v Speaker 1>Okay? So, empower Field maybe a park.
<v Speaker 3>Josh Rosenbloom, he's a local who lives out there by
<v Speaker 3>empower Field, and he says he wants the area to
<v Speaker 3>be a place people can enjoy for generations to come.
<v Speaker 3>So he's already created a petition to make it happen.
<v Speaker 3>He told one of the local news stations that for
<v Speaker 3>fans to be able to come back and have it
<v Speaker 3>be concrete boxes and show their kids and grandkids a
<v Speaker 3>concrete box as opposed to a great space with great
<v Speaker 3>memories and hopefully like plaques and statues commemorating all the
<v Speaker 3>great teams that were here, it would really be a
<v Speaker 3>missed opportunity. So he's trying to make something happen. Now again,
<v Speaker 3>all of the new stadium stuff they say isn't gonna
<v Speaker 3>start happening until twenty twenty seven, so next year, so
<v Speaker 3>he's got some time to get it done. But if
<v Speaker 3>you want to sign this petition, if you want to
<v Speaker 3>find out more about it, about what Josh has in
<v Speaker 3>store for it, it's mile Highpark dot org.
<v Speaker 1>But it's definitely pretty interesting.
<v Speaker 3>I think if they are going to tear it down,
<v Speaker 3>I mean they are gonna tear it down and make
<v Speaker 3>room for the new stadium, this is a nice way.
<v Speaker 1>To preserve that property and space.
<v Speaker 3>And yeah, I just I think that downtown is already
<v Speaker 3>undergoing a little transformation.
<v Speaker 1>If you will, I mean, we could use a park
<v Speaker 1>down there. I like the idea of making it a park.
<v Speaker 4>I think it's cool.
<v Speaker 1>He'll being able to get out and enjoy it.
<v Speaker 2>Well, they have four square and tether ball. Oh, I'm
<v Speaker 2>sure parks all about it. Then let's do it. So
<v Speaker 2>there you go, mile ahead a Teeter Totter or.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, we could petition for that, Peter Totter.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we might have to petition.
<v Speaker 2>I want to I'm.
<v Speaker 3>Down, okay, And then Denver among the worst drivers in
<v Speaker 3>the country.
<v Speaker 1>This doesn't surprise me.
<v Speaker 4>We're all out.
<v Speaker 1>There, we're all out there flying. We know how this works.
<v Speaker 3>But in the top thirty or alone, there were a
<v Speaker 3>total of three cities in and around the Denver metro area,
<v Speaker 3>another Colorado city making it quite high on the list,
<v Speaker 3>with Pueblo.
<v Speaker 1>The top spot number thirteen.
<v Speaker 3>For Colorado's I've never been to Pueblo, but I don't imagine.
<v Speaker 3>I can't imagine they'd be driving a little crazy. Great
<v Speaker 3>Lead number twenty seven, Thornton twenty three, and Lakewood nineteen
<v Speaker 3>on this list. But yeah, they did have a total
<v Speaker 3>of twelve Colorado cities in this Aurora fifty six, four
<v Speaker 3>Colins sixty two, Denver number sixty five.
<v Speaker 1>But Memphis is no longer the city with the worst drivers.
<v Speaker 1>They had that for three years straight.
<v Speaker 3>Now it is water Bury, Connecticut, and I thought it
<v Speaker 3>might be It seems kind of fancy over there in Connecticut.
<v Speaker 3>You think they'd take their time on the roads. But yeah,
<v Speaker 3>worst drivers out there. And then a driver list Zamboni.
<v Speaker 3>We've got one right here in the Denver metro and
<v Speaker 3>no one else does.
<v Speaker 1>This is kind of exciting. Means so Weston Wood word.
<v Speaker 3>He is the ice supervisor with South Suburban Parks and
<v Speaker 3>Wreck and the new autotonomous Zamboni is a family sports
<v Speaker 3>center in Centennial, and again it's the only spot that
<v Speaker 3>has one the driverless Zamboni. That's where that makes sense,
<v Speaker 3>that's where they practice. It's like one hundred grand to
<v Speaker 3>get a driverless Samboni.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently. I thought it'd be more than that.
<v Speaker 3>But it really is turning some heads because you see
<v Speaker 3>it out there on the ice and nobody's drying.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's would scare me.
<v Speaker 4>I thought, would last.
<v Speaker 1>I know exactly.
<v Speaker 2>He's like no, no, yeah, or is that a steamroller?
<v Speaker 3>But they say that it's able to scan the ice
<v Speaker 3>and make sure it's thick and safe enough. So it's
<v Speaker 3>all like new technology that's able to like put a
<v Speaker 3>beam down on the ice and see exactly what's happened.
<v Speaker 2>Pretty neat is a funny word, isn't it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah? Oh yeah, one of the I like the Z words.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I named the name. So I really like
<v Speaker 1>the the Z word. But they should have.
<v Speaker 2>A sandwich shopper in there and call it Zamboni baloney,
<v Speaker 2>They really should. That would be the story.
<v Speaker 1>Somebody was up all night. Yeah, they do have a
<v Speaker 1>few people in this story.
<v Speaker 3>That's kind of funny though, because they talk about how
<v Speaker 3>some of the people are a little sad because it
<v Speaker 3>hurts their soul because they've always had the dream of
<v Speaker 3>driving a zam I mean that's sad for them, exactly,
<v Speaker 3>the driver.
<v Speaker 1>Taking their jobs.
<v Speaker 2>They slowly walk over to their vision board and boarded
<v Speaker 2>in these picture of the zamboni and crumple it up
<v Speaker 2>and single tear rolling down their no more zamboni dreams
<v Speaker 2>for me.
<v Speaker 3>You get to know the zamboni drivers and we all
<v Speaker 3>become friends.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, literally in this story that's yeah and kudos.
<v Speaker 2>And your name is Tony and you drive a zamboni.
<v Speaker 1>Zamboni the facilities here.
<v Speaker 3>So they told the local news folks that nobody's losing
<v Speaker 3>their job. It's still able to be driven just like
<v Speaker 3>any of the other ice okay.
<v Speaker 1>Exactly, So you can jump on in that zamboni. Don't
<v Speaker 1>you WORRYMONI. But there you go. There's the latest girl city.
<v Speaker 1>It's your mile high hut.
<v Speaker 2>Well you're doing tonight, huh? Will meet me on the
<v Speaker 2>ice resurface, play with my zamboni really quick on the
<v Speaker 2>heels of all the local stuff going on today. If
<v Speaker 2>you want to go out and celebrate Colorado's one hundred
<v Speaker 2>and fiftieth birthday, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife is saying
<v Speaker 2>that today is the day that you want to get
<v Speaker 2>out to any of Colorado's national parks because they're all
<v Speaker 2>free today. That's kind of nice. Oh that's really cool.
<v Speaker 2>State parks and national parks, I believe, and I'll look
<v Speaker 2>that up. At least it's state parks anyway. There's others
<v Speaker 2>that are going to remain in effect though, like camping reservations,
<v Speaker 2>boat and off highway vehicle registrations, hunting fishing licenses. All
<v Speaker 2>those fees stay in effect. But if you want to
<v Speaker 2>roll into a state park today, they are free. And
<v Speaker 2>check this out. They are also saying that you can
<v Speaker 2>have free admission to all Colorado State parks throughout the
<v Speaker 2>month of August if you are an active duty military member,
<v Speaker 2>a VET, and a National Guard member. That's really neat,
<v Speaker 2>isn't it very much? Thank you very much for your service,
<v Speaker 2>jar you, Katy.
<v Speaker 8>And Josh six one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Just a heads up, it's gonna be trip digch today, bro,
<v Speaker 2>trip digg triple digits again in the Mahi City one
<v Speaker 2>hundred degrees today. There's all sorts of Colorado health data
<v Speaker 2>out this morning talking about heat related illnesses that have
<v Speaker 2>been affecting people this summer. It was the second hottest
<v Speaker 2>July on record. If I recall, I think I saw
<v Speaker 2>that story. Anyway, they say keep an eye out for
<v Speaker 2>heat exhaustion. It can begin with heavy sweating, nausea, dizziness, weakness, headache.
<v Speaker 2>I had all of that last night when I was
<v Speaker 2>eating my try tip off the smoker, a lot of
<v Speaker 2>heavy sweating. It can involve confusion, fainting, seizures, high blood,
<v Speaker 2>high body temperature. So be careful while you're out there.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe stop by a lemonade stand, right, Katie, and get
<v Speaker 2>you some lemonade from kids? Boy, why are you so.
<v Speaker 1>Mad at w wallet?
<v Speaker 3>Why I'm not okay? So I was trying to be
<v Speaker 3>a nice neighbor. There were some kids set up in
<v Speaker 3>my neighborhood with a lemonade stand, and I walked up to.
<v Speaker 1>It, like, you guys are adorable. Oh my gosh, what
<v Speaker 1>do I owe you?
<v Speaker 3>Fifty cents two dollars AUP a cup of lemonade that
<v Speaker 3>was watered down.
<v Speaker 1>You could tell it was the end of the picture,
<v Speaker 1>and they're like, just have more water, it's so warm,
<v Speaker 1>and then they haven't.
<v Speaker 3>Like these kids are like, do you need a three
<v Speaker 3>dollars bag of chips to go with that?
<v Speaker 1>And it's like the little mini You know, they probably
<v Speaker 1>got it from their lunch box and just saved it
<v Speaker 1>then charged me three dollars for it.
<v Speaker 2>So did you say, yeah, no, I did it.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, you know, I only have two dollars
<v Speaker 1>on me.
<v Speaker 3>Sorry, kids, But man, I just really got me thinking
<v Speaker 3>because I know inflation things get more expensive, but two
<v Speaker 3>dollars for a half a cup of the styrofoam cup
<v Speaker 3>of lemonade.
<v Speaker 1>You can imagine the styrofoam cup. Those are not big.
<v Speaker 1>What are those three dounses?
<v Speaker 2>They're tiny? Half of that for two dollars and the
<v Speaker 2>parents did you negotiate?
<v Speaker 8>Now?
<v Speaker 1>What are you gonna do with you negotiate?
<v Speaker 2>You teach us kids about negotiation, and I'll give you
<v Speaker 2>fifty cents.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like that's on the parents to be like
<v Speaker 3>two dollars might be a little much, like why are
<v Speaker 3>you charging people two?
<v Speaker 1>Everything is so expensive and.
<v Speaker 2>It's because the parents bought all that crap and they
<v Speaker 2>want their money bag.
<v Speaker 1>I guess this is what it is.
<v Speaker 3>But I just feel like, as like an adult, you
<v Speaker 3>kind of it's on you to not throw out a
<v Speaker 3>completely unreasonable price for a cup of lemonade.
<v Speaker 1>I mean it was just way too much.
<v Speaker 3>But at the time, like I'm up there, they tell
<v Speaker 3>me it's two dollars, and then what do I say,
<v Speaker 3>never mind, turn around and walk away absolutely drin and
<v Speaker 3>then I'm an awful person.
<v Speaker 2>You got to teach them disappointment and rejection. This is
<v Speaker 2>these are all life lessons. This is why they're out there. No,
<v Speaker 2>I think this is business.
<v Speaker 1>That falls on the parent.
<v Speaker 3>You don't charge somebody two dollars for a crap prop Again,
<v Speaker 3>it was water.
<v Speaker 1>It was essentially yellow water.
<v Speaker 3>I didn't know it until I walked away and I
<v Speaker 3>took a drink.
<v Speaker 1>I just feel like, yeah, like they just did me
<v Speaker 1>dirty right there.
<v Speaker 2>Business If something is a better price, if you're shopping
<v Speaker 2>at Target and it's a better price at Walmart, you
<v Speaker 2>leave and you go to Walmart. You tell those little girls, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, down the street there was a stand for
<v Speaker 2>fifty cents a cup. That's fine, cut me a deal.
<v Speaker 3>There wasn't a stand down the street, but What I'm
<v Speaker 3>saying is that I will if those kids are set
<v Speaker 3>up today with elemonade stand or any day in the
<v Speaker 3>near future it and I'm gonna tell everybody else don't
<v Speaker 3>trust those kids.
<v Speaker 1>They're gonna charge you two dollars for yellow waters.
<v Speaker 2>I dare you to stand like mouth just a little
<v Speaker 2>bit down from and be with a sign.
<v Speaker 3>If they don't want to be, you know, on the
<v Speaker 3>up and up, and they want to do me dirty
<v Speaker 3>like that, then more of mouth goes.
<v Speaker 1>A long way.
<v Speaker 2>I say, you get on next door. Yeah, you get
<v Speaker 2>on your Facebook today. You tell everybody where these horrible
<v Speaker 2>children are and say do not go near them.
<v Speaker 1>Those kids are gonna take all your money.
<v Speaker 2>You gonna take this lemonade stand down. Well, I'm sure
<v Speaker 2>a lot of parents are wanting the kiddos to get
<v Speaker 2>back to school, mostly because it's so damn expensive every
<v Speaker 2>single weekend. A new report out this morning talking about
<v Speaker 2>how the average American spends about four hundred dollars on
<v Speaker 2>summer activities each and every weekend, and they broke it
<v Speaker 2>down to like dining out, attending celebrations, and having to
<v Speaker 2>get gifts, a lot of birthday parties and stuff, hosting gatherings.
<v Speaker 2>You're hosting birthday parties and barbecues, entertainment, movie theaters, concerts,
<v Speaker 2>theme parks. Then they broke it down into camping and boating, hiking, fishing,
<v Speaker 2>and then there's self care and then transportation, just driving
<v Speaker 2>everybody around. You're spending about four hundred dollars a weekend,
<v Speaker 2>and that seems about right. There's a funny meme that's
<v Speaker 2>going around that says, why is every day two hundred dollars? Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>You know, it really is wild.
<v Speaker 1>For a single person.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I told myself I was not going to
<v Speaker 3>spend a single cent all weekend.
<v Speaker 2>Good for you.
<v Speaker 3>Six later I broke my promise to myself, and is
<v Speaker 3>those little things it just starts piling up, right?
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely? So kids go back to school because you're expensive.
<v Speaker 2>We did not spend that much this weekend because my
<v Speaker 2>sweet wife, Nick Knack, stumbled upon the Denver Art Museum
<v Speaker 2>doing a free day this past weekend, all in honor
<v Speaker 2>of the one hundred and fiftieth for Colorado. So we
<v Speaker 2>packed up the old family suv and went down to
<v Speaker 2>the Denver Art Museum, which I got to thinking, I
<v Speaker 2>don't think I have been there since elementary school on
<v Speaker 2>some sort of field trip.
<v Speaker 4>It has been.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, like, who is like, hey, we got to
<v Speaker 2>get down to the art museum, Like nobody ever says that, right,
<v Speaker 2>And we did this because actually my daughter went down
<v Speaker 2>for a school field trip and she told us that
<v Speaker 2>she didn't really feel like she saw enough, and she's
<v Speaker 2>really into art and stuff. So we're like, yeah, it's
<v Speaker 2>a little day for you. Then let's go down to
<v Speaker 2>the art museum. And I will tell you, when you
<v Speaker 2>go down there, wear some good walking shoes. We put
<v Speaker 2>on five miles oh walking around two different buildings down there,
<v Speaker 2>looking at all the delicious art. And it was good,
<v Speaker 2>it was nice, It was, you know, somewhat busy. What
<v Speaker 2>fascinated me is how they have these priceless pieces of
<v Speaker 2>art just right there on the wall and you can
<v Speaker 2>essentially just go up and lick them if you want.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you can get right up on them.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure they frown upon that.
<v Speaker 2>There is a few signs that says, please don't lick
<v Speaker 2>the art.
<v Speaker 1>So don't do that.
<v Speaker 2>There's a Monee there that is part of some sort
<v Speaker 2>of water lily series that he did or something.
<v Speaker 1>Up you shut up, seriously, there's a.
<v Speaker 2>There's a water lily Monee there and I believe it's
<v Speaker 2>the most expensive piece at the museum. And we looked
<v Speaker 2>it up and they say, essentially, these things are priceless
<v Speaker 2>when they are in the museums. But other paintings in
<v Speaker 2>this series. I looked up the values when what they
<v Speaker 2>sold for eighty four million, seventy million, sixty five million,
<v Speaker 2>and fifty four million. So this one that they have
<v Speaker 2>hanging at the Art Museum is somewhere within that bubble.
<v Speaker 2>So they could have an eighty million dollar piece of
<v Speaker 2>art hanging right there and you literally just walk up
<v Speaker 2>and touch it if you want it. They've got some
<v Speaker 2>little thin glass barrier on him, but it's like it's
<v Speaker 2>just right there. That's love Monet a picture of it.
<v Speaker 1>His water lily features, Like because.
<v Speaker 2>I'm should go look at it.
<v Speaker 4>That's like his most famous series.
<v Speaker 3>I have a fake Monette in my living room. I
<v Speaker 3>got it at TJ Max.
<v Speaker 2>That's worth well, you should go check it out. It's
<v Speaker 2>really neat no idea.
<v Speaker 1>That's what they were rolling with at the Denver Art Museum.
<v Speaker 2>They've got so much neat stuff and it is kind
<v Speaker 2>of you know, you look at these things and you
<v Speaker 2>kind of tried to decipher in your head, like what
<v Speaker 2>it all means and what they were going when they
<v Speaker 2>painted or sculpted, and then you go read the little
<v Speaker 2>plaque on the wall and you're like, wh I was
<v Speaker 2>way off and it is just kind of neat, you know.
<v Speaker 2>I was standing there at one point just watching other
<v Speaker 2>people stand there and look at the art and just
<v Speaker 2>how involved they get in it. Like there was one
<v Speaker 2>guy that he stood at each piece and stare at
<v Speaker 2>it for like ten minutes, like he got into it.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, what's this guy's deal? Is he stoned or.
<v Speaker 4>Is he is he really?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Like he stood there and you can just see
<v Speaker 2>the wheels turning, Like, what am I looking at right?
<v Speaker 2>Share me?
<v Speaker 1>Oh you fancy? Huh?
<v Speaker 2>I know, I felt pretty fancy.
<v Speaker 1>You're watching people look out.
<v Speaker 7>I was.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it was an experience, you know, It's something
<v Speaker 2>that I don't ever typically do, but I would highly
<v Speaker 2>recommend it. There's some great observation decks on the top
<v Speaker 2>of the original art museum down there that gives you
<v Speaker 2>some great views of the city. And one final thing,
<v Speaker 2>after all this raving about the art and the people
<v Speaker 2>watching and the experience, I don't go downtown a lot because.
<v Speaker 4>I hate it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe maybe you've experienced this and I haven't. The best
<v Speaker 2>part of the day was the parking garage.
<v Speaker 1>Which one did you go?
<v Speaker 2>The parking garage that is basically connected to the Denver
<v Speaker 2>Library down there in the art museums. It's the one
<v Speaker 2>right there and to it all. And the best thing
<v Speaker 2>about this parking garage is looking at the ceiling because
<v Speaker 2>they've got these little i don't know how you would
<v Speaker 2>describe it, like little power lines that go up and
<v Speaker 2>over your car on the ceiling and then they hook
<v Speaker 2>down just a little bit. And when they hook down
<v Speaker 2>on the end of the hook, they've got a little
<v Speaker 2>tiny led light and it's either red or green. And
<v Speaker 2>you look, you know, down the hallway of the parking garage,
<v Speaker 2>and it's like lights all the way down. The green
<v Speaker 2>ones mean that the spot is empty. The red runs
<v Speaker 2>mean that they are taken, so as you're driving through
<v Speaker 2>you don't have to do this slow like and when
<v Speaker 2>you get up on it and you're like, oh, there's
<v Speaker 2>a little car in there. Look at the ceiling, and
<v Speaker 2>when you see a little green light, you're like, there's
<v Speaker 2>one right there. So you just zip up to it
<v Speaker 2>and pull in and then boop, it turns red.
<v Speaker 1>That's so perfect.
<v Speaker 2>And the other part is, you know when you navigate
<v Speaker 2>your way like like a quirk screw up those parking garages,
<v Speaker 2>you know, around and round, there's a sign with you know,
<v Speaker 2>go this way pointing up and on the sign it's
<v Speaker 2>digital it says level two has nine spots open. Level
<v Speaker 2>three has one hundred and forty spots open. So there's
<v Speaker 2>no like guessing in those stress of like is there
<v Speaker 2>enough spots in here? Where can I park?
<v Speaker 1>It was the neatest thing ever.
<v Speaker 3>They Bucki's bathroom to the parking ground exactly.
<v Speaker 1>What is genius? Its brilliant.
<v Speaker 3>They need to do that to all the parking garages,
<v Speaker 3>all of them.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe a beaver and.
<v Speaker 3>Also put beavers in their exactly beaver nuggets.
<v Speaker 4>It's a good day.
<v Speaker 1>That's amazing.
<v Speaker 2>It's really neat. I'll post some pictures of videos of
<v Speaker 2>the parking grod.
<v Speaker 5>Five five.
<v Speaker 1>The fun starts now with Fast five.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, fine, fine, it's time to play Fast five.
<v Speaker 1>Last five How fast you be?
<v Speaker 2>With Jeremy, Katie and Josh. It is definitely time to
<v Speaker 2>play Fast five. First one of the week if you'd
<v Speaker 2>like to call a three O three six nine one
<v Speaker 2>one mix three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine.
<v Speaker 2>On a personal note, I want to thank everybody who's
<v Speaker 2>been listening for many, many years to this morning show.
<v Speaker 2>I hit my twenty second anniversary here Katie yayy.
<v Speaker 1>I know, twenty two years out twenty one station.
<v Speaker 3>I think that is such a huge flex radio people
<v Speaker 3>don't get that.
<v Speaker 1>We don't.
<v Speaker 4>We don't do it.
<v Speaker 3>You don't stay at one station for usually more than
<v Speaker 3>five years. So the fact that you've been hanging on
<v Speaker 3>for twenty two years.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see, we'll see what happens.
<v Speaker 1>Love and cherish the way they do very kind of view.
<v Speaker 3>So congratulations, congratulations, I really appreciate that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, twenty two years in various capacities, from producer to
<v Speaker 2>executive producer to co hosts, a host. I was doing
<v Speaker 2>the math. It's it's something like fifty two hundred shows.
<v Speaker 2>If you do you know, if you factor in weekdays,
<v Speaker 2>take out some holidays, vacation time. I think I'm right
<v Speaker 2>around there. Fifty two hundred shows and fifty two hundred
<v Speaker 2>times waking up at three thirty.
<v Speaker 3>In the morning, I know, and I love how people
<v Speaker 3>were saying, we need to make a big celebration for
<v Speaker 3>your fifty two eighty shows. All that would be what
<v Speaker 3>kind of fun will we need to do? We need
<v Speaker 3>to make a big cake, we need to make it happen.
<v Speaker 1>And here's to twenty two more years.
<v Speaker 2>Sure, let's not get crazy. I might kill over at
<v Speaker 2>any moment, Katie, I don't know you got this some
<v Speaker 2>early mornings you got anyway. A very heartfelt thank you
<v Speaker 2>to everybody who has been listening for so many years,
<v Speaker 2>as I essentially grew up on this radio station, dating
<v Speaker 2>to an engagement, to marriage, to two kids, to all
<v Speaker 2>sorts of fun life stories. Really really appreciate you guys.
<v Speaker 2>In turn, we give you some good entertainment, including Fast five.
<v Speaker 2>I see the phone lines ringing like crazy. Three oh
<v Speaker 2>three six nine one, sixteen forty nine will get you
<v Speaker 2>on the air, get to know you, find out what
<v Speaker 2>you did over the weekend, and then I'll toss a
<v Speaker 2>category at you and start a ten second timer. Within
<v Speaker 2>those ten seconds, you got to give me five things
<v Speaker 2>that have to do with that category right now, one
<v Speaker 2>open line, Come on, call in and play three oh three,
<v Speaker 2>six nine one sixteen forty nine Katie examples.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, you've asked for all kinds of stuff, like five
<v Speaker 3>types of engineers.
<v Speaker 1>You've also asked to name five kinds.
<v Speaker 3>Of docos, and the one that wanted on Friday, Kevin
<v Speaker 3>could name five things that might break up a marriage,
<v Speaker 3>No problem, no word on if he's been there before, Ben,
<v Speaker 3>very correct, feel listen very quick.
<v Speaker 1>But you're all over the place when it comes to
<v Speaker 1>what she asked.
<v Speaker 2>So Colin, have some fun, especially if you've never done it.
<v Speaker 2>We'll turn around to make this a podcast so you
<v Speaker 2>can download it and hear yourself on the radios. Yeah, three, three, six,
<v Speaker 2>nine one a sixteen to the forty nine. What are
<v Speaker 2>we playing for?
<v Speaker 3>Okay, mixed one hundreds all access. Summer is hooking it
<v Speaker 3>up this week with sold out Noah kN tickets. He's
<v Speaker 3>gonna be at Course Field this coming Sunday, so we
<v Speaker 3>want you there as well when he entertains you all.
<v Speaker 3>And that's what you're winning with fast five all week.
<v Speaker 2>With his singing and his dancing, No con he's really good,
<v Speaker 2>one of my favorite good so good. Three oh three,
<v Speaker 2>six nine one sixteen forty nine. We will start with
<v Speaker 2>holding Hi, Holding more than Buddy what'd you do this weekend?
<v Speaker 9>I had a garage sale, which turned out to be
<v Speaker 9>a bad idea because it was way too hot.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, it was pretty toasty. Did you make some money?
<v Speaker 9>And did? Actually sold a bunch of stuff, so that
<v Speaker 9>was good.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right, how much money did you make?
<v Speaker 5>Uh?
<v Speaker 9>Six and forty something dollars?
<v Speaker 2>Too shabby, not too shabby, impressive. You can go buy
<v Speaker 2>some electrolytes now and rehydrate.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 9>I was just going to take it all over the Goodwill.
<v Speaker 9>So yeah, yeah, money.
<v Speaker 2>Good for you, buddy, good for you. Well, let's do
<v Speaker 2>some fast five with you holding oddly enough? Your letter
<v Speaker 2>is h like holding well, and I need five restaurants
<v Speaker 2>that start with that letter.
<v Speaker 8>H go.
<v Speaker 9>Hula hand Hooters.
<v Speaker 2>Oh boy, hurry, well it was quick to make Hooters though,
<v Speaker 2>now yeah that one. Hold it all right, have a
<v Speaker 2>good day, buddy, Bye bye. Oh we hung up. He's like,
<v Speaker 2>you know what, my wife's listening. I gotta go exactly.
<v Speaker 3>Should have never said Hooters parties next time, holding hard.
<v Speaker 2>That's a good one, honey, bake dam hi dab hi. Hey,
<v Speaker 2>what'd you do this weekend?
<v Speaker 3>Well?
<v Speaker 9>I had a garage cell too.
<v Speaker 2>Actually, no odds how much did you make?
<v Speaker 9>Just like three.
<v Speaker 6>Fifty not as much as the last guy, that's all right.
<v Speaker 2>So it's it's you know, three d and fifty dollars
<v Speaker 2>that you didn't.
<v Speaker 6>Have exactly and got rid of stuff.
<v Speaker 3>Right.
<v Speaker 2>You know what's funny is I drove my wife's vehicle
<v Speaker 2>today and the entire back end is full of stuff
<v Speaker 2>that I have to drop off at good will to Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's like I gotta get this done. I got to
<v Speaker 2>get it out of the base.
<v Speaker 3>It's a good feeling when you do it, though, right,
<v Speaker 3>So Tony, or get rid of stuff at a garage sale,
<v Speaker 3>it's like you feel like you can accomplish it anything.
<v Speaker 2>You're donating it to a place where people can scoop
<v Speaker 2>it up that need it. If I don't need this stuff,
<v Speaker 2>I need the space and give it to somebody else
<v Speaker 2>passing on. Don't be paralyzed by stuff I hate that
<v Speaker 2>can take it with I can't. You know what? We
<v Speaker 2>just all have too much stuff? So true?
<v Speaker 4>Deb?
<v Speaker 2>All right, sweet Deb, I'm gonna give you a movie one.
<v Speaker 2>Are you ready?
<v Speaker 8>I think so?
<v Speaker 2>No cheating and no sequels, but I need five movies
<v Speaker 2>starring the delightful Sandra bullet go.
<v Speaker 6>Oh man, I'm gonna draw a plank.
<v Speaker 9>I even see her in the movies and I can't
<v Speaker 9>think of the name.
<v Speaker 1>Are you gonna hang on to that one?
<v Speaker 2>I didn't hold on to that one. I'm not gonna lie.
<v Speaker 2>I really like Miss Congeniality.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I was gonna say.
<v Speaker 3>So that's a good movie I saw.
<v Speaker 6>I can see it.
<v Speaker 2>Once you start thinking about it, you're gonna be like,
<v Speaker 2>oh my god, there's a ton of them. We actually

<v Speaker 6>I'm a camp counselor well, how.
<v Speaker 2>Old are you?

<v Speaker 2>and no help. Do you have people in the car
<v Speaker 2>with you?
<v Speaker 6>I do, but will help.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.

<v Speaker 8>Quiet?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, thank you? Quiet? Be quiet mom?
<v Speaker 4>All right?
<v Speaker 2>In ten seconds, I need you to give me five
<v Speaker 2>presidents of the United States with four letters in their
<v Speaker 2>last name. Go trum close Trump. That's five. Oh, Bella,
<v Speaker 2>you didn't do good in history class. You can't think
<v Speaker 2>of one president with four letters in their last name. Nothing?
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 4>Well you maybe laugh so r Bella.
<v Speaker 2>Hopefully you're a better camp counselor Bella. Tell your mom
<v Speaker 2>we said hi, all right, Bella, have a good day. Well,
<v Speaker 2>bless her heart. Kara, Hello, did you name? This isn't
<v Speaker 2>your category, but could you this one has been driving
<v Speaker 2>people nuts for two weeks. Could you name any presidents
<v Speaker 2>with four letter last names?
<v Speaker 4>Ford?
<v Speaker 1>Huh, that's one, okay, and that's pretty good.
<v Speaker 2>Times all right, let me mark off my Sandra Bullock movies.
<v Speaker 2>I did that, I did the restaurants with h I
<v Speaker 2>did my president. What'd you do this weekend?
<v Speaker 3>A little hot time by the pool.
<v Speaker 2>A little hot time, cool down time.
<v Speaker 5>It was trying to get cool, but it was more
<v Speaker 5>hot than cool.
<v Speaker 2>You gotta be careful with all that, you know, make
<v Speaker 2>sure you're drinking your liquids. I sound like your mother,
<v Speaker 2>but drink your bottom but straight. Wear a large hat
<v Speaker 2>so you don't get the wrinkles. I don't know why
<v Speaker 2>your mom sounds like, why does the mom sound like
<v Speaker 2>she's from Jersey? She really does, Karra, lather up, honey.
<v Speaker 2>You don't want those sagon kneecaps.
<v Speaker 1>Never, never, saggy kneecaps. Is that what happens when you
<v Speaker 1>don't put on sunscreen?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Tan and wrinkly, and then you get that weird
<v Speaker 2>fat that rolls over your kneecap. You haven't screened on
<v Speaker 2>the knee, You've never seen.
<v Speaker 8>The weird names buy extra.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's just weird tan, fleshy bubble that goes over
<v Speaker 2>your kneecap. Knee here, yeah, thanks son, Yeah, spf them knees.
<v Speaker 2>All right, ladies, all right, what do I have? And fellas? Okay?
<v Speaker 2>So in ten seconds, Kara, I need five things that
<v Speaker 2>are shaped like a triangle.
<v Speaker 9>Go, a street sign, a yield sign.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, a triangle.
<v Speaker 1>Triangles in the the instrument.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I played that in band. I would have given it. Well,
<v Speaker 2>there's a couple more biggies, but I'm gonna hold on
<v Speaker 2>to that. We appreciate you playing. Have a great mondays,
<v Speaker 2>it was really go bad. If her knees look like that.
<v Speaker 1>You know, everybody's looking at their knees.
<v Speaker 2>Everyone right now is grabbing that little sat chunk above
<v Speaker 2>their kneecap.
<v Speaker 1>Please tell me my knees are okay.
<v Speaker 2>I would think that's a simple operation. If you want
<v Speaker 2>to get rid of that, right, you just slice it
<v Speaker 2>open and zip it up.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>No, it's not a knee. It's just taking the fat
<v Speaker 2>out that's rolling over your kneecut. Tighten them upft. There's
<v Speaker 2>a doctor in town that would do that for you.
<v Speaker 2>I guarantee, Hi, Elizabeth, hiy any interest in seeing Noah Khan?
<v Speaker 1>Very much?
<v Speaker 9>So I'd take my best friend.
<v Speaker 2>Who's your bestie? Her name's Kay. Oh, that's Okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know what the best part would be the k
<v Speaker 2>would owe.
<v Speaker 1>You big time, take you out for dinner.
<v Speaker 2>You could hold this over her head for years.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, these are pretty sweet tickets. You could use
<v Speaker 3>this for a minute. You know, remember I got you
<v Speaker 3>those tickets for Christmas? What you doing for me for
<v Speaker 3>my birthday?
<v Speaker 4>Like?
<v Speaker 2>You could use it buy me a new course, Michael
<v Speaker 2>COR's purse or something.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Elizabeth, this would be great for you. All right,
<v Speaker 1>you ready?
<v Speaker 2>You're pretty fired up? Elizabeth? Hey, Elizabeth, your hair is
<v Speaker 2>on fire. Yeah? Okay, and Jim seconds, Okay, here you go.
<v Speaker 2>I need five things shaped like a triangle.
<v Speaker 8>Go shaped like a triangle.
<v Speaker 2>Some Christmas ornaments are shaped like a triangle.
<v Speaker 9>It's the instrument.
<v Speaker 2>Now you got to yea christ ornaments is We're gonna
<v Speaker 2>let you go relax because you seem a little wound up.
<v Speaker 2>Have a good Monday, okay. H By Elizabeth Amy wrote
<v Speaker 2>in and said, Jeremy, I call that my elephant's skin.
<v Speaker 1>Is that what it is?
<v Speaker 2>It's Amy? So that's her elephant skin.
<v Speaker 1>Really self conscious about my knees now, I know?
<v Speaker 3>Right?
<v Speaker 2>Joshua, Hey, what's up? Oh you're up? Playa how old.
<v Speaker 6>Are you good? How about you got?
<v Speaker 2>We're fine? How old are you?

<v Speaker 4>Josh thank you?
<v Speaker 1>You got a birthday over the weekend? Right?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah?
<v Speaker 6>Just ye?
<v Speaker 2>Well your psychic?
<v Speaker 1>How did you know that?
<v Speaker 2>Let me give you my little birthday thing here? Birthday?
<v Speaker 2>What did you get for your birthday? Anything?
<v Speaker 4>Good?
<v Speaker 2>Oh?
<v Speaker 6>Well, I didn't get much. I just got some cash
<v Speaker 6>and I got a new TV.
<v Speaker 2>Yay, sounds like a good birthday to me. Body.
<v Speaker 3>It's my daughter's birthday today, and I'm also giving her cash,
<v Speaker 3>so that seems like the thing to give young people.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah, bet ye bet.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, I feel like that's what most Uh it's an
<v Speaker 6>easy gift because they can get whatever they want.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly bet Bet is right, Joshua, you interested in going
<v Speaker 2>to see Noah Khan?
<v Speaker 6>Yes, I'm very What do you like.
<v Speaker 2>About this show? Out of curiosity? Really quick?
<v Speaker 6>I just like, uh, I think exactly, so many like
<v Speaker 6>there's so much. I like the He's just a very
<v Speaker 6>I like his him as a person and a stage
<v Speaker 6>presentation like him, like he's a very cool person. And
<v Speaker 6>I like his music.
<v Speaker 2>Oh we're talking about no kan All right, never mind
<v Speaker 2>a fantastic All right, buddy, uh in ten seconds, I
<v Speaker 2>need you to give me five things shaped like a triangle.
<v Speaker 6>Go the triangle instrument, A dueto, pizza, come on, a pie, candy.
<v Speaker 2>Pie, and candy.
<v Speaker 6>I don't know that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like a piece of pie. I'd give you that.
<v Speaker 2>But what candy is shaped like a triangle? I would need.
<v Speaker 1>Gummy pizza's candy? It was.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like it's too broad, But I also want
<v Speaker 2>to be done with this.
<v Speaker 1>I think I think it's done to be doing multiple
<v Speaker 1>candies that are shaped.
<v Speaker 2>Like, Hey, Joshua, who would you like to take to
<v Speaker 2>Noah Khan with you?
<v Speaker 6>I was trying to take my dad.
<v Speaker 2>Oh all right, all right, all day long, I'll give
<v Speaker 2>it to you. I'm in a good mood today.
<v Speaker 6>Thank you, what all? Thank you?
<v Speaker 2>Oh you did all the hard work, buddy, You and
<v Speaker 2>your dad have a very fun time at Cornsfield to
<v Speaker 2>go see the sold out Noah Coon. Courtesy of Jeremy
<v Speaker 2>and Katie and josh Thanks so much, Thanks buddy for
<v Speaker 2>calling in. Absolutely you know, I was just raving about
<v Speaker 2>how great it's been to be here for twenty two years.
<v Speaker 2>If there's one thing, what happened that I would I
<v Speaker 2>would say is not the best part is the text
<v Speaker 2>line sometimes, Oh, everyone coming at me right now? Because
<v Speaker 2>I gave that sweet nineteen year old boy tickets to
<v Speaker 2>go see Noah con with his dad because I wanted
<v Speaker 2>things with a triangle and he just said candy. And
<v Speaker 2>now you're all mad at me because he said candy
<v Speaker 2>doesn't work. I's too generic, you sack. Well, now you
<v Speaker 2>say it to Blarone totlarone.
<v Speaker 5>I think it's toblerone bolone, Tony the tiger speak.
<v Speaker 2>Listen, think about it. It's that chocolate bar shaped like
<v Speaker 2>a triangle. It's long, it's mountains toll blarony baloney. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's all I got to say, even though none of
<v Speaker 2>us know how to say it. That is candy shaped
<v Speaker 2>like a triangle.
<v Speaker 1>All day?
<v Speaker 2>I love you all sure, Maybe just back away from
<v Speaker 2>the text.
<v Speaker 1>Line, Back away the phone.
<v Speaker 2>Listen, you want me here a few more years, Just
<v Speaker 2>back away from the text A deep breath, everybody. It's
<v Speaker 2>as a silly game and we're talking about triangle shaped
<v Speaker 2>candy this morning. All right, things are going to be
<v Speaker 2>Things are gonna be fine.
<v Speaker 1>Today, Jery, Katy and josh One hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I did not know that today should have been a
<v Speaker 2>national holiday, right our congers person, I had no idea.
<v Speaker 2>Who do we talk to that today was baby Nana's birthday,
<v Speaker 2>the non birthday.
<v Speaker 3>Gay gay, I know, I celebrate like it's a national holiday.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, hey, yes, it's my birthday day day.
<v Speaker 3>You know.
<v Speaker 1>We used to do it's my birthday is.
<v Speaker 3>On her birthday, we would go get the pictures done right,
<v Speaker 3>like the J. C.
<v Speaker 1>Penny portress. Oh, we will go rolling.
<v Speaker 3>I would set the appointment for noon because she was
<v Speaker 3>born at twelve oh six.
<v Speaker 2>No, then you get like pictures right around the We.
<v Speaker 3>Got pictures right when she turned the next age.
<v Speaker 1>So we did that every year up until she.
<v Speaker 3>Was ten, and then she was like, mom, my friends
<v Speaker 3>make fun of me right on my birthday. So we
<v Speaker 3>did that for like the first ten years.
<v Speaker 1>But oh yeah, I love today, you.
<v Speaker 2>Know, and you should go today and do it just
<v Speaker 2>for the hell of it.
<v Speaker 1>Well, here's the thing, let me tell you about today.
<v Speaker 3>And it made me a little upset because I was
<v Speaker 3>talking to the baby Nana because usually on her birthday
<v Speaker 3>she has the same thing. She goes and gets breakfast
<v Speaker 3>with her best friend. They do that each and every year,
<v Speaker 3>and then at some point during the day, I'm able
<v Speaker 3>to meet up with her, give her her birthday gifts
<v Speaker 3>and her kids as and her hugs and Mama, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>me much.
<v Speaker 1>The baby Nana.
<v Speaker 3>But I was talking to her and she was like,
<v Speaker 3>remember I told you she had a plan to go
<v Speaker 3>do the craft thing with her friends. So she was
<v Speaker 3>gonna get They have those craft parties, go like crochet
<v Speaker 3>and and then you have like little drinks and Nibley's
<v Speaker 3>and you know, you have a good time. You have
<v Speaker 3>a party, and then the plan was to go get
<v Speaker 3>juicy seafood after that, and so I was all about it, right,
<v Speaker 3>Like I was looking forward to this like it was
<v Speaker 3>my birthday because I love juicy seafood. And I was
<v Speaker 3>talking to her yesterday and she's like, well, actually, Mom,
<v Speaker 3>that's just for me and my friend Boom.
<v Speaker 1>Was uninvited to my own child's birthday. And I threw
<v Speaker 1>the line. I was like, did they give birth to you?
<v Speaker 1>Is that? Is it their the obligation to be with
<v Speaker 1>you on your birthday?
<v Speaker 3>No. She made me feel like I was so wrong
<v Speaker 3>about this, like she's gonna be twenty.
<v Speaker 2>Three her friends.
<v Speaker 3>No, but it's on the actual birthday, like she can't
<v Speaker 3>go with her friends tomorrow.
<v Speaker 2>You can't go tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>That's what's happening now.
<v Speaker 3>I've been demoted to the not on the actual birthday,
<v Speaker 3>birthday kind of thing, like I feel. And I even
<v Speaker 3>threw this out there, and I felt like kind of
<v Speaker 3>a jerk, I know, and she told me that too. No,
<v Speaker 3>I felt like such a jerk because I said, today's
<v Speaker 3>kind of about me too.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I'm the one who did all the work,
<v Speaker 1>Like it been stretch mark that did not. I said,
<v Speaker 1>you bruned my body.
<v Speaker 2>Soul center pictures of your stretch marks, like this is you? Now,
<v Speaker 2>give me some damn juicy s.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe that wasn't the best thing to say to her,
<v Speaker 3>because she's like, I don't know why you're trying to
<v Speaker 3>make me feel bad about my birthday.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, I don't know why I am either,
<v Speaker 1>but this makes me mad. You were pretty fired up
<v Speaker 1>early because I was fired up, and I like, here's
<v Speaker 1>the thing. I feel like I'm wrong. I do. I
<v Speaker 1>feel like there's this like.
<v Speaker 4>A six year old so I think there's a.
<v Speaker 3>Small part of me that's like, this is not the
<v Speaker 3>normal reaction to have when your twenty three year old child.
<v Speaker 1>Says, you can't go to their birthday dinner.
<v Speaker 3>But also a part of me is like I gave
<v Speaker 3>birth to you, I should be able to come eat seafood.
<v Speaker 2>I want some crawfish or.
<v Speaker 1>Whatever you're thinking about crab like crab.
<v Speaker 3>And then now that i'm I don't get to be a.
<v Speaker 1>Part of it.
<v Speaker 3>It's not only that, but she's going to have juicy
<v Speaker 3>seafood tonight.
<v Speaker 1>That is not a meal you do back to back.
<v Speaker 2>You gotta get you. You don't want to do that.
<v Speaker 1>I'm in between for that to give you.
<v Speaker 3>Since I got to go to like Olive Garden or
<v Speaker 3>something and literally enjoy her.
<v Speaker 2>Her enjoy her day with her friends. She's twenty some
<v Speaker 2>years old. She wants to go out with her friends.
<v Speaker 3>Mommy, I just feel like I am.
<v Speaker 2>I do have you.
<v Speaker 1>You're shaking your head. I feel like I have a
<v Speaker 1>right to feel this way.
<v Speaker 4>It's not a mother's reaction.
<v Speaker 2>I've never is she still expecting a gift today? Yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 2>all right, and that'll fire me up.
<v Speaker 3>She has sent me links to things that she wants,
<v Speaker 3>and these are not cheap things. It has sent me
<v Speaker 3>like bookshelf speakers, like headphones that are two hundred dollars,
<v Speaker 3>Justin Bieber vinyls that are raise dollars.
<v Speaker 1>No, I did not.
<v Speaker 2>There was no twenty five dollars gift card to Target.
<v Speaker 3>No, she is not a twenty five dollars gift card
<v Speaker 3>to Target kind of girl.
<v Speaker 4>So for that stuff she does, Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 3>No, she expects it from all of us. But then
<v Speaker 3>I'm not invited to the seafood party, and well he.
<v Speaker 2>Phone for her, No, Justin Beaver vinyls for her. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>she gets the twenty five dollars gift card, which is
<v Speaker 2>all you really need.
<v Speaker 1>I know.
<v Speaker 3>If I don't get to go to your seafood party, well, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>from what I recall, you're going to be going to
<v Speaker 3>Sublime here soon, right, and she was going to be
<v Speaker 3>going with you.
<v Speaker 2>You had the extra ticket.
<v Speaker 1>For her going on.
<v Speaker 2>Guess what, Oh, mom can enjoy a night out with
<v Speaker 2>her friends too, right, that's how you do it.
<v Speaker 1>The way your thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Right now, my daughter can go out with right, she
<v Speaker 2>can go to gccafood again that night.
<v Speaker 1>You're right, actually, because she.
<v Speaker 2>Because you were stressed. Because I'm trying to remember how
<v Speaker 2>it all went down, but you were stressed because you
<v Speaker 2>wanted to go with somebody else. But she had already
<v Speaker 2>requested the ticket or something like that.
<v Speaker 3>Because when I went to Sublime at Red Rocks earlier
<v Speaker 3>than this year, I didn't bring her because I didn't
<v Speaker 3>want to have to be a mom at Red Rocks
<v Speaker 3>at the concert.
<v Speaker 2>I wanted to.
<v Speaker 3>Enjoy my time my friends. So she didn't come to
<v Speaker 3>that show with me. So now that Sublime is coming
<v Speaker 3>to Fiddler's Green or Fiddler's Amphitheater, she was like, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>you have.
<v Speaker 1>To bring me. You didn't bring me the Red Rock.
<v Speaker 1>We almost say it now, I almost.
<v Speaker 3>Said it like that, but no, so like that truly,
<v Speaker 3>she told me I had to bring her on Friday.
<v Speaker 2>You don't, right?
<v Speaker 4>Maybe?
<v Speaker 1>Now do you know what.
<v Speaker 2>I spent my.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 6>Are you?
<v Speaker 1>I know? I don't know if I can.
<v Speaker 2>Did you buy a cake or anything for today?
<v Speaker 1>Or you know I bought a cake?
<v Speaker 3>You know I did, and I got mad and I
<v Speaker 3>ate it all to.
<v Speaker 2>You guys. There's a video that I'm dying for Kitty
<v Speaker 2>to post now. She bought a little mini cake, mini
<v Speaker 2>cake that could probably feed four people still, and she's
<v Speaker 2>so mad at baby Nana that she ate the cake
<v Speaker 2>with no utensils and made a video about it. She
<v Speaker 2>put her face into the cake and then I'm mad
<v Speaker 2>at my baby Nana video.
<v Speaker 1>It's amazing and you're watching it.
<v Speaker 2>And you're like, I have no idea why you're single.
<v Speaker 2>This all has to do with a viral story. I
<v Speaker 2>saw it over the weekend and I posted as a
<v Speaker 2>little story on our Instagrammy's. But it's the latest controversy
<v Speaker 2>centered on parents who are sending out birthday invites, and
<v Speaker 2>within the birthday invite, there including a Venmo QR code,
<v Speaker 2>cash app, other QR codes, and there may be a
<v Speaker 2>zell link or something like that asking for guests to
<v Speaker 2>leave a tip or a cash contribution towards the birthday party.
<v Speaker 2>And I posted it. I was like, what the heck
<v Speaker 2>is going on right now? Yeah? Anybody seen this and
<v Speaker 2>it's funny write in my messages. Alicia wrote us and said, Jeremy,
<v Speaker 2>it's happened to me and I want to read you guys.
<v Speaker 2>The message that she sent us. She says, my eight
<v Speaker 2>year old was invited to one of her former classmates'
<v Speaker 2>birthday parties and when I opened the invite, I honestly
<v Speaker 2>thought it was a joke. It's this huge, over the
<v Speaker 2>top party at one of those indoor adventure places. There's pizza,
<v Speaker 2>a balloon, artist's face painting, a dessert table that looks
<v Speaker 2>like it belongs at a wedding. She said. The whole
<v Speaker 2>thing At the bottom of the invite, right underneath RSVP
<v Speaker 2>was the mom's venmo QR code, with a note that said,
<v Speaker 2>if you'd like to help offset the cost of this
<v Speaker 2>special day, contributions are greatly appreciated. And then she just wrote,
<v Speaker 2>excuse me, in all caps, I'm already buying your child
<v Speaker 2>a birthday present. Now I'm supposed to venmo you well
<v Speaker 2>because you decided to throw a party that you probably
<v Speaker 2>can't afford. I did go ahead and text other moms
<v Speaker 2>to see if I was overreacting, and some of them
<v Speaker 2>admitted that they fired off twenty five bucks because they
<v Speaker 2>didn't want to look cheap. I was always taught that
<v Speaker 2>if you're hosting the party, you in all caps, pay
<v Speaker 2>for the party. If you want to keep it simple, great.
<v Speaker 2>If you want to spend one thousand dollars on bounce
<v Speaker 2>houses and custom cookies, that's your choice, but don't send
<v Speaker 2>me the bill. Tell me am I being unreasonable or
<v Speaker 2>has birthday party culture officially lost its damn mind?
<v Speaker 1>Right?
<v Speaker 2>It is a quote. Has it officially lost its damn mind?
<v Speaker 1>Dang?
<v Speaker 2>I love you guys, love your topics. And that's from Alisha.
<v Speaker 2>And I wrote back, I said, Lisha, where you at?
<v Speaker 2>She said, she's out in little Fun, So she's out
<v Speaker 2>by me. So Alisha in Littleton got the whole QR
<v Speaker 2>code on the birthday invite to chip in. I luckily
<v Speaker 2>have not experienced this with my kids. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>what I would do.
<v Speaker 3>You're just at the age where these parties starting to
<v Speaker 3>be important though, that's the thing, especially with your younger,
<v Speaker 3>with your young girl.
<v Speaker 2>My son's starting to get out of it.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, yeah, but girls are different. But the level
<v Speaker 3>of expectance when it comes to a girls party, it
<v Speaker 3>just keeps growing and growing and growing. And you know,
<v Speaker 3>Manny petties for I mean, those are like one hundred
<v Speaker 3>dollars for me. So when you add that to every
<v Speaker 3>kid who's gonna and I give you a little bit
<v Speaker 3>of a discount, but it.
<v Speaker 1>Starts to add up. That's just the activity.
<v Speaker 2>My daughter was invited to one of those sleepovers where
<v Speaker 2>it was like a where they like hire somebody to
<v Speaker 2>come in and make it a bomb like settings and
<v Speaker 2>stuff the tents over each individual sleeping area and the
<v Speaker 2>snacks and it's a princess party and all that crap,
<v Speaker 2>and you're like, oh my god, how much did this cost.
<v Speaker 1>It's a lot of money.
<v Speaker 3>It's like over one thousand dollars to get someone to
<v Speaker 3>come in, depending on how many kids you have, But
<v Speaker 3>it's expensive.
<v Speaker 2>If you are a parent listening right now and received
<v Speaker 2>one of these, or you're thinking about like sending one
<v Speaker 2>out call us three oh three six nine one one
<v Speaker 2>mix three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine,
<v Speaker 2>or if you just want to sound off about like
<v Speaker 2>what you would do in this situation. Yeah, if you
<v Speaker 2>received one of these invites, I would love to talk
<v Speaker 2>to you. Three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine.
<v Speaker 2>Apparently we're not. Alicia's friend is not way off base
<v Speaker 2>with this, because there was an actual story this weekend
<v Speaker 2>all about it. The thing that caught my eye was
<v Speaker 2>when she reached out to the other moms and they said, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we tossed. She said twenty five bucks or or something
<v Speaker 2>like that. Within the message the guilt factor or you
<v Speaker 2>didn't want to look cheap, so you just do it
<v Speaker 2>anyway because you know that mom will be talking about
<v Speaker 2>you if you don't chip in.
<v Speaker 4>That's the part I don't especially if you're the only one.
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, And I think tipping in general always has that
<v Speaker 3>air to it, right, like if you don't do it
<v Speaker 3>like Kizz, you're almost being pressured into doing it or
<v Speaker 3>you're gonna look it's like cheat your cheap, you know.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't like it.
<v Speaker 3>I was looking into the parents' website parents dot com
<v Speaker 3>because this whole thing is a trend now, and they're
<v Speaker 3>saying that some of the reasoning behind it is if
<v Speaker 3>you plan to bring your child and they plan to
<v Speaker 3>eat and play, please send along cash with your kid
<v Speaker 3>for the tip bucket to go towards party expenses. So
<v Speaker 3>they're laying it out as to what the tips go towards.
<v Speaker 3>But I'm with you, if you're deciding to do all
<v Speaker 3>that for your kids party, it should be on you
<v Speaker 3>to pay for it.
<v Speaker 1>Right right, Yeah right, I mean that's how it's always
<v Speaker 1>been done.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah again, I don't know. And Hi Dean, welcome to
<v Speaker 2>the show.
<v Speaker 8>Hello, how are you well?
<v Speaker 2>We're super dupes. What are your thoughts on this.
<v Speaker 8>Absolutely not. If you don't have the funds to host
<v Speaker 8>a party, don't even invite me. I mean that I
<v Speaker 8>just can't do that, right.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, don't be such a cheap skate, Dean.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that's not that like party is like, sir, it is.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, that's I agree with you, Dean.
<v Speaker 3>I think that that's just asking a little too much
<v Speaker 3>from people.
<v Speaker 2>Let me play Devil's Advocate with you, Dean. Say you
<v Speaker 2>got a family with a small kiddo and they've fallen
<v Speaker 2>on some hard times and they can't afford a really
<v Speaker 2>nice birthday for their kid. Isn't this a nice community
<v Speaker 2>gesture to chip in twenty five bucks per person to
<v Speaker 2>help you throw a party for your kid because you've
<v Speaker 2>hit hard times.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah?
<v Speaker 9>Well, I mean sometimes we've all been in that situation
<v Speaker 9>and I've gone through it, and hey, maybe we'll get
<v Speaker 9>you on the next year.
<v Speaker 3>You know.
<v Speaker 2>So you're still not going to do it? Come on, right,
<v Speaker 2>here's the problem, Dean, is it's it's what it is.
<v Speaker 4>Though.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that's very nice to me to throw that
<v Speaker 2>out there. I think, good job, Jirehi, But a lot
<v Speaker 2>of these like yeah, it's very noble and very humble
<v Speaker 2>of you, Jeremy. But Alicia is saying, the person that
<v Speaker 2>sent this QR code out is doing one of these
<v Speaker 2>huge places with one thousand dollars worth of desserts, and
<v Speaker 2>it sounds like they can afford all the So that's
<v Speaker 2>kind of when you're.
<v Speaker 4>Like, what the heck?
<v Speaker 9>Yeah, I mean if you're if you got that kind
<v Speaker 9>of desserts out there, then you should be able to
<v Speaker 9>cover the kids.
<v Speaker 2>It's right. You know what My thing too is, Dean.
<v Speaker 2>If I'm chipping in twenty five dollars there, damn well,
<v Speaker 2>better be some to go containers there, because I'm taking
<v Speaker 2>some of those cookies hard. Yeah, thank you so much.
<v Speaker 2>You take your money's worth exactly. Yeah, so funny. We
<v Speaker 2>appreciate you listening and calling in, buddy. You have a
<v Speaker 2>great Monday.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah you too.
<v Speaker 4>All right, bye bye.
<v Speaker 2>What do I feel like I can see maybe not
<v Speaker 2>not doing something like this? Well my birthday?
<v Speaker 1>Hate I think you made a really good point in
<v Speaker 1>the sunset.
<v Speaker 3>If somebody's not able to make that happen, If like
<v Speaker 3>a community gets together and they're like, we want to
<v Speaker 3>make this happen, you deserve a party like that. But
<v Speaker 3>if it's just like you know, this has been a
<v Speaker 3>hard year for you and your family. Maybe it's a
<v Speaker 3>birthday at the park. Maybe you get a bit che Yes,
<v Speaker 3>you go to the park.
<v Speaker 2>And you have a birthday there and try to do
<v Speaker 2>your best to.
<v Speaker 3>Come and hang out on the slide, you know what
<v Speaker 3>I mean, Like, maybe it's one of those birthday parties
<v Speaker 3>this time around.
<v Speaker 2>I think part of this is like Venmo has just
<v Speaker 2>kind of normalized asking for money.
<v Speaker 1>And tipping culture and tipping culture.
<v Speaker 2>Everybody's got their hand out, and it just seems normal
<v Speaker 2>now to throw my Venmo out there, give me money,
<v Speaker 2>you know, because it's so easy now just to fire
<v Speaker 2>money back and forth that you're kind of like, well,
<v Speaker 2>why why not, you know, I'll ask for money.
<v Speaker 3>I mean I have seen so many different instances. One
<v Speaker 3>in particular, the graduation speaker had a whole billboard out
<v Speaker 3>there about the Venmo and everything. If you'd like to
<v Speaker 3>tip me for my graduations, No way, I'm not kidding,
<v Speaker 3>like it happens.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that this is just another instance of
<v Speaker 1>that getting out of control.
<v Speaker 3>And I saw a few people write about how they're like,
<v Speaker 3>if I have to tip for any kind of party,
<v Speaker 3>I'm not bringing a gift, like if.
<v Speaker 1>I have to tip, you don't get a gift.
<v Speaker 3>Like, so I think people are gonna have to start
<v Speaker 3>expecting that. Like if you want cash money for your primy,
<v Speaker 3>maybe you don't get something.
<v Speaker 2>You should throw up a QR code on our Facebook
<v Speaker 2>image and just say scan it if you want to
<v Speaker 2>send us money. If you enjoy entertainment each and every morning.
<v Speaker 2>My final thought on this is again Devil's advocate. If
<v Speaker 2>your kid is getting a day away, you get a
<v Speaker 2>little piece and quiet. They're gonna go have a ton
<v Speaker 2>of fun and when they get home, they're gonna be
<v Speaker 2>so tired that they fall asleep. They've been fed. Isn't
<v Speaker 2>it worth twenty five bucks?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Here's twenty five dollars. I get a mommy day again.
<v Speaker 3>You have five kids in the group right, one of
<v Speaker 3>them is having a birthday party today.
<v Speaker 1>It's on that mom to host those kids.
<v Speaker 3>When the other kid has a birthday party, now, the
<v Speaker 3>onus is on that mom. Like that's how it works.
<v Speaker 3>You trade responsibility when it is your kid's birthday. But
<v Speaker 3>I don't think a tip is necessary. I think it's
<v Speaker 3>going to it's doing.
<v Speaker 2>Too much jar You know what the bottom line is
<v Speaker 2>I think I know the bottom line. What just don't
<v Speaker 2>have kids? The ding sport That sound means it's time
<v Speaker 2>for real quick makes one hundred sports up date. What
<v Speaker 2>you got, Josh?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, Well, the Rockies played a baseball game yesterday and
<v Speaker 5>it was a mid day game. They're trying to keep
<v Speaker 5>their hot streak going as they got a couple wins
<v Speaker 5>in a row here, but it was also recorded as
<v Speaker 5>the second hottest first pitch temperature in Coors Field history.
<v Speaker 5>It was officially ninety nine degrees, and they said yesterday
<v Speaker 5>is at about four fifteen. It even reached up to
<v Speaker 5>one hundred and three degrees. When you're out there playing baseball,
<v Speaker 5>it feels like it's one hundred and ten degrees.
<v Speaker 4>It is so flipping hot out there.
<v Speaker 5>They did, however, get the win, so the Rockies hot
<v Speaker 5>streak keeps going as well. We're going to keep it
<v Speaker 5>right here with baseball and send us down to the miners.
<v Speaker 5>Here as a baseball game was going on over the
<v Speaker 5>weekend and the commentator was calling the game and he
<v Speaker 5>sees a fly ball go out there and he says
<v Speaker 5>it's going way way way back, and it actually ends
<v Speaker 5>up leaving the stadium and listen to what he had
<v Speaker 5>to say about it.
<v Speaker 7>There's a high fly ball, please don't hit my truck
<v Speaker 7>way back there, and it's gone. Well home run for
<v Speaker 7>Compton is thirteenth of the year and it's one to nothing.
<v Speaker 2>It was close.
<v Speaker 4>It was close, Like I see my truck and I
<v Speaker 4>see where.
<v Speaker 2>It's almost hit the blue truck out there.
<v Speaker 4>You know, first of all, laugh but that's scary.
<v Speaker 5>I mean you're watching the ball go out there, You're like, oh, man,
<v Speaker 5>I'm just a commentator.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know about there.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 5>You know, do you think his uh has to pay
<v Speaker 5>for that? Does he just have to if it breaks
<v Speaker 5>his window, that's all on him.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, his insurance covers up, know right, take care of that. Noah, No, absolutely.
<v Speaker 4>Thinks it's funny though. One know there.
<v Speaker 1>Please, you thought you'd heard it all.
<v Speaker 2>Just think you've seen everything?
<v Speaker 1>Not even close. Who's spiraling? Who's getting canceled? What's the
<v Speaker 1>local buzz? What can we expect? We're diving headfirst into
<v Speaker 1>the chaos.
<v Speaker 6>It's the mile high height.
<v Speaker 5>You know.
<v Speaker 2>What's up?
<v Speaker 1>What's up? What's up with jkj on mixed one hundred?
<v Speaker 2>Well, the celebreakers go goofy rectangles. One hundred and fiftieth
<v Speaker 2>birthday the Colorado Parks and Wildlife. They're saying that today
<v Speaker 2>is a free day at all state parks. Get out
<v Speaker 2>there and have some fun park Some park fees do
<v Speaker 2>remain in effect, like camping and boating and hunting and fishing.
<v Speaker 1>What's your favorite state park?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Chaffie Lemon Mine's Rifle Falls.
<v Speaker 1>There's three waterfalls coming out that mountain.
<v Speaker 2>Whoa what we got a gusher?
<v Speaker 1>We have a lot of.
<v Speaker 2>And if you're a National Guard member active due to
<v Speaker 2>duty military, you get the entire month free. Yeah, courtesy
<v Speaker 2>of the Colorado Parks and.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for your service.
<v Speaker 2>Very nice. Be careful while you're out there, though, because
<v Speaker 2>it's going to be a trip ditch day.
<v Speaker 1>Brot.
<v Speaker 2>We got them trip diges today and they say the
<v Speaker 2>amount of heat related illnesses this summer in Colorado, the
<v Speaker 2>roof thy rockety. It was the second hottest July on record.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like there's been a few days where I've
<v Speaker 1>gotten kind.
<v Speaker 2>Of heat exhaustion, heavy sweating.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, well it's no no, no, no no.
<v Speaker 2>While I was out the sun, confusion, well, typical nausea, dizziness, symptoms.
<v Speaker 2>I just weakness and headache period.
<v Speaker 1>He also, yes, like I think that I may have
<v Speaker 1>suffered from it. It was hot in.
<v Speaker 3>July, like like I like the sun. I love to
<v Speaker 3>be out there just basking in it. But man, it
<v Speaker 3>was hard to lay in my hammock A few times.
<v Speaker 2>I was outside yesterday just trimming trees and mowing the
<v Speaker 2>lawn and doing the whole thing and all that, and
<v Speaker 2>I was at one point I was like, I need
<v Speaker 2>some water. I need so much water. Right, I was dripping.
<v Speaker 2>I'm straight dripping. Bro anyway, trip ditch today? What else
<v Speaker 2>is going on?
<v Speaker 7>CA?
<v Speaker 3>Okay, So our field may be turned into a park
<v Speaker 3>if one local resident has his way.
<v Speaker 1>Josh Rose in Bloom.
<v Speaker 3>He says he wants the area to be a place
<v Speaker 3>people can enjoy for generations to come. As we know
<v Speaker 3>the Broncos are look looking at wrapping up their time
<v Speaker 3>there and moving on to the new stadium.
<v Speaker 2>Who's this guy.
<v Speaker 1>He's just a local resident. He's just some guy who
<v Speaker 1>lives there in the area. And he was like, when
<v Speaker 1>you guys are done using this.
<v Speaker 3>I knew you'd like it, Josh, but he said, when
<v Speaker 3>you guys are done using it for the broncos he
<v Speaker 3>really wants to make it into a park versus the
<v Speaker 3>buildings and all the you know, downtown stuff that.
<v Speaker 1>Is already there. He wants to make it.
<v Speaker 2>Into something better.
<v Speaker 3>You know what they've they've got just the makings of
<v Speaker 3>it going now. So you've got a petition you're going
<v Speaker 3>to put in the general woman exactly.
<v Speaker 2>Suggestion box Teeter totter.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, but could.
<v Speaker 2>Question when's the last time you were on a Teeter totter?
<v Speaker 1>Just this last week?
<v Speaker 3>You have my friends, Yeah, it must just be the
<v Speaker 3>thing to do.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, they.
<v Speaker 5>Haven't been Denver Pilot Totters.
<v Speaker 1>Are fun.
<v Speaker 3>At the top, and then you get a ridiculous right,
<v Speaker 3>and then if you really want to be a jerk,
<v Speaker 3>you get off and make them fall on the ground.
<v Speaker 3>Do that, yeah, Teter Totter drama. Okay, So then Josh here.
<v Speaker 3>He told the local news stations that for fans to
<v Speaker 3>be able to come back and have concrete boxes and
<v Speaker 3>show their kids and grandkids that that's not fun. He
<v Speaker 3>wants a great space with great memories and hopefully plaques.
<v Speaker 2>Is that what he calls buildings commemorating Yeah? Boxes yet, well,
<v Speaker 2>I mean buildings He's right.
<v Speaker 3>Like when it comes to like looking at something and
<v Speaker 3>like remembering it and appreciating it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't do that with the.
<v Speaker 3>Buildings Custard, Yeah, I don't do that, but I do
<v Speaker 3>that with nature. And so he has a whole petition
<v Speaker 3>going and everything to turn in power field into a
<v Speaker 3>park versus concrete buildings. And you can go sign that
<v Speaker 3>to a petition mile high park. I've also got this
<v Speaker 3>new list about Denver Metro amongst the worst drivers in
<v Speaker 3>the country, I mean top thirty alone. There are a
<v Speaker 3>total of three cities in and around the Denver metro area,
<v Speaker 3>and then another one on the list farther south. Pueblo
<v Speaker 3>scored the highest on this number thirteen. Apparently they drive
<v Speaker 3>like crazy in Pueblo. Lakewood at number nineteen, and then
<v Speaker 3>Thornton and Greeley twenty three and twenty seven. But Memphis
<v Speaker 3>was no longer the city with the worst drivers. They
<v Speaker 3>were for three years in a row, but now that
<v Speaker 3>goes to water Berry, Connecticut. And then one more story,
<v Speaker 3>just a driveless samboni. We've got one here in the
<v Speaker 3>Denver metro and no one else in the Western hemisphere does.
<v Speaker 3>Weston Woodward. He is the ice supervisor with South Suburban
<v Speaker 3>Parks and rec And he's got that new autotonomous samboni
<v Speaker 3>at the Family Sports Center in Centennial. So if you're
<v Speaker 3>there and you see a zamboni without a driver and it,
<v Speaker 3>do not be alarmed. It's not going to crash into
<v Speaker 3>the boards. It's gonna be just fine. But it's kind
<v Speaker 3>of neat, just the entire science behind it. And it
<v Speaker 3>costs like one hundred thousand dollars, So just go out
<v Speaker 3>there to see it.
<v Speaker 1>It is quite impressive. A driver list zamboni right here
<v Speaker 1>in the no Bloni. There's my high hype here.
<v Speaker 3>She's got the mic, the mocksie, and a brand full
<v Speaker 3>of Doctor Phil reruns.
<v Speaker 4>She's on me like a dust on a gym bug.
<v Speaker 2>But can you take down Katie in pop culture?
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown?
<v Speaker 2>This is Katie Crush? That is a big question.
<v Speaker 1>Can you get it done?
<v Speaker 2>Kevin is up to the challenge today. What's up, k Dog?
<v Speaker 8>Hey, I'm doing excellent, Thank.
<v Speaker 2>You good Boddy. Tell us a little bit about yourself, Kevin.
<v Speaker 8>I have a business that makes breakfast burritos for local
<v Speaker 8>coffee shops, and I'm out just picking up supplies and
<v Speaker 8>dropping them off, and.
<v Speaker 2>Why haven't you brought us a fat stack of breakfast burritos? Ever,
<v Speaker 2>that's the question.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I don't know what the studio is.
<v Speaker 2>Well, we'll let you find out. We will let you know,
<v Speaker 2>Kevin right there. So I'm guessing you make different varieties
<v Speaker 2>of burritos.
<v Speaker 8>Your standard like terreso, green chili, stuff like that.
<v Speaker 2>Which one is your best one? Your biggest seller, the
<v Speaker 2>green chili one? Absolutely Colorado. I like your business, Kevin.
<v Speaker 2>How do I make a business like this?
<v Speaker 8>And I kind of sell into it but it keeps
<v Speaker 8>so busy.
<v Speaker 2>Good for you falling into burritos. I want to fall
<v Speaker 2>into a bed made of burritos.
<v Speaker 1>Fall into bacon.
<v Speaker 2>Well, good for you out there hustling, Kevin. We appreciate
<v Speaker 2>you calling in, buddy. I'm gonna give you and Katie
<v Speaker 2>the same five pop culture trivia questions, best out of
<v Speaker 2>five wins. Ties go to Katie because she's a diva
<v Speaker 2>monster that made up the rules. Anything you want to
<v Speaker 2>say to barrit he no, boy, you.
<v Speaker 3>Just made me hungry now, So I hope you can
<v Speaker 3>deliver the pop trivia knowledge like your burrito's over there, Kevin, let's.
<v Speaker 1>Go, huh.
<v Speaker 8>I'll do my best. You're you're pretty good at this.
<v Speaker 2>Well, you're right, she's hungry for a wind. I am
<v Speaker 2>hungry for yes, all right, Kevin, she is going to
<v Speaker 2>get out of this studio and go into a room
<v Speaker 2>where she can't hear anything. I come up with the questions,
<v Speaker 2>so there's no cheating, and we'll find out if you
<v Speaker 2>are right or wrong once we bring her back in.
<v Speaker 2>So looks like she's in there. Let's get it on.
<v Speaker 2>What fast food restaurant quote supersized their meals starting in
<v Speaker 2>the nineties.
<v Speaker 8>McDonald's.
<v Speaker 2>Your second question in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, what
<v Speaker 2>is the name of the prince that turns into the Beast?
<v Speaker 8>I can't remember. I'm too old, all right, I'm just.
<v Speaker 2>Right too old. Next to that one, your third question,
<v Speaker 2>which country singer started out one of her mega hit
<v Speaker 2>songs with the lyric Let's Go.
<v Speaker 8>Girls, Shania Twain winging it up?
<v Speaker 2>Your fourth question for Katie Crush, Please tell me what
<v Speaker 2>soft drink boasts that it's made from twenty three flavors.
<v Speaker 10>Doctor pepper, doctor pepper baby, And your final question, the accent,
<v Speaker 10>the Santa Fe and the palisade are all car models
<v Speaker 10>by what company.
<v Speaker 8>Hyundai?
<v Speaker 2>All right, let's get Katie capped back in here. She's
<v Speaker 2>gonna work her way back in Kevin. Is your car
<v Speaker 2>just full of burritos right now? Kevin?
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I've got like eighty pounds of potatoes.
<v Speaker 2>That's awesome. Is car is like low riding it?
<v Speaker 6>All right?
<v Speaker 2>Katie? You ready to ready?
<v Speaker 6>All right?
<v Speaker 2>I will say Kevin did pretty durn good, Katie. What
<v Speaker 2>fast food restaurant quote supersized their meals starting back.
<v Speaker 1>In the nineties, Well, I was McDonald.
<v Speaker 2>Kevin got that one too, Kevin. In Disney's Beauty and
<v Speaker 2>the Beast, what is the name of the prince that
<v Speaker 2>later turns into the Beast?
<v Speaker 1>I just I just always known him as Prince Prince Beast.
<v Speaker 2>No, And Kevin said, I'm too old. Prince Adam is
<v Speaker 2>what we're looking for.
<v Speaker 9>Him?
<v Speaker 2>Nobody has right, it's just the Beast. Nobody very popular.
<v Speaker 2>That was a tricky one. I'm silly all right? Which
<v Speaker 2>country singers started out one of our mega hit songs
<v Speaker 2>with the line let's go.
<v Speaker 1>Girls Go winner tone.
<v Speaker 2>That Kevin also knows his shni twin me. What do
<v Speaker 2>I feel like you seeing that in your car? Sometimes? Kevin?
<v Speaker 8>I was just singing it earlier.
<v Speaker 2>Let's go girl, all right, Katie, what's soft drink? Boasts
<v Speaker 2>that it is made from twenty three flavors.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, doctor pep Ba.
<v Speaker 2>Kevin also said that you guys know your soft drink,
<v Speaker 2>we do just call cool, hi, Ktie. The accident, the
<v Speaker 2>Santa Fe and the Palisader are all car models manufactured
<v Speaker 2>by what company?
<v Speaker 1>Issadia? Oday?
<v Speaker 2>Together?
<v Speaker 1>In my brain, that wasn't my answer?
<v Speaker 2>Too bad? You last? Yay Kevin? One today fair If
<v Speaker 2>you say it, I'm marking that down. Kevin got four
<v Speaker 2>k Katie got three.
<v Speaker 1>Yay Kevin.
<v Speaker 8>I thought Katie was gonna win for sure.
<v Speaker 2>No, no, no, you won and you're you're winning in
<v Speaker 2>life because you make breakfast burritos an Apple a solid
<v Speaker 2>flex
