<v Speaker 3>to be eating pizza. Yeah, I was like, okay, I'll

<v Speaker 3>do some thin crust with veggies all over. And then

<v Speaker 3>we all sat around the table and caught up.

<v Speaker 2>And instead of a cracking open some cold ones having

<v Speaker 2>some old fashions, we had hot tea, pizza and hot tea,

<v Speaker 2>and we told our friends. They were like, can we

<v Speaker 2>bring anything, and we're like, bring your favorite tea, and

<v Speaker 2>you know what, we sat around, we had hot tea.

<v Speaker 3>We caught up and I gotta tell you, it was

<v Speaker 3>a great night. We laughed.

<v Speaker 2>We had moments when we had tears coming down our

<v Speaker 2>eyes because we were laughing so much about stories and

<v Speaker 2>just things going on in our lives. And you know

<v Speaker 2>the best part the next day there was a text

<v Speaker 2>thread going back and forth and everyone was like, we

<v Speaker 2>don't feel like crap tea.

<v Speaker 3>Now we feel fantastic. It's amazing.

<v Speaker 2>Isn't it amazing when you don't drink a lot, you

<v Speaker 2>have a great time, you're hanging with good people, and

<v Speaker 2>you don't feel like crap for the next two days. Yeah, No,

<v Speaker 2>I was up peaning about nine times because so much tea.

<v Speaker 4>A little teeny tiny bladder. Yeah sorry, Wow, I got that.

<v Speaker 3>It was a big bladder. I got a big bladder girl,

<v Speaker 2>It was just so nice and we all agreed. At

<v Speaker 2>the end of the night, when everybody's going home, they're like,

<v Speaker 2>you know what, this was so incredibly lame, but it

<v Speaker 2>was so incredibly refreshing.

<v Speaker 3>encourage people to do that every now and then.

<v Speaker 2>Ditch the booze, try to have a dry night with

<v Speaker 2>Now I had to laugh too, because then I hopped

<v Speaker 2>on on Sunday and I saw Katie's lame weekend.

<v Speaker 3>So shocking to me because you've lived here for years,

<v Speaker 4>And everyone has said that to me. I got so

<v Speaker 4>many messages that were like, wait, you've never ridden the

<v Speaker 4>light rail. I'm like, I've never had the need to

<v Speaker 4>ride the light rail. I've just never done it. But

<v Speaker 4>we went to a concert out at Fiddler's on Friday night,

<v Speaker 4>the Sublime concert with three eleven, Slightly Stupid.

<v Speaker 3>Just got a little less lame.

<v Speaker 4>But I know, yeah, the reason I wrote the light

<v Speaker 4>rail was pretty awesome. But it was the first time

<v Speaker 4>I ever wrote it, and I was just like, yeah,

<v Speaker 4>I'm gonna make a video and I sure did, and

<v Speaker 4>it was just like it was.

<v Speaker 3>Fun, what'd you think of it?

<v Speaker 4>It was clean, it was nice and like got me

<v Speaker 4>from A to B super quick, like works just like

<v Speaker 4>it said it was gonna work, stopping every couple yea,

<v Speaker 4>like it stops at every station.

<v Speaker 3>What station did you get on it?

<v Speaker 4>We got on it Lincoln, so the very south, and

<v Speaker 4>then we drove it up to a rapa hose, so

<v Speaker 4>not too many stops because we just went up to Fiddler's.

<v Speaker 4>But it's funny because boy, like, I tell you what.

<v Speaker 4>So we rode the light rail up to a rap

<v Speaker 4>a hose and we walked to Fiddler's. We watched the

<v Speaker 4>entire show For some reason at that show, man, I

<v Speaker 4>don't know if it's all that walking or all that screaming,

<v Speaker 4>but I sure was hungry. So then we walked from

<v Speaker 4>Fiddlers over to shake Shack, and then we walked from

<v Speaker 4>shake Shack back to the light rail station, and then

<v Speaker 4>we rode the light rail back to my friend Violet's house,

<v Speaker 4>and then we walked back to Violet's house. So we

<v Speaker 4>did trouble walking, a lot of walking, but it was nice.

<v Speaker 3>It was a good night. I'm glad to hear it

<v Speaker 3>went well.

<v Speaker 4>And I've never made my way around a concert like

<v Speaker 4>that with the light rail as my transportation, so I

<v Speaker 4>will do that again.

<v Speaker 3>One hundred times. I'll do that again. I'm glad it

<v Speaker 3>worked out well for you. I went to college down

<v Speaker 3>at the Rarea campus.

<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so I had it was two and a half

<v Speaker 2>years or whatever because I've been transferred down there. Of

<v Speaker 2>writing the light rail back and forth from that college

<v Speaker 2>campus each and every day, so you have a lot,

<v Speaker 2>and I vowed to never be on it again.

<v Speaker 3>It did well. I don't want to bash the light rail.

<v Speaker 2>There was some clientele on there that I was just

<v Speaker 2>uncomfortable with on numerous occasions.

<v Speaker 2>Lot, you know, I'm a bit of a germophobe, and

<v Speaker 2>there was at times, you know, especially when schools starting,

<v Speaker 2>schools letting out works, you know, going and letting out.

<v Speaker 2>There's just a lot of body on body action in there,

<v Speaker 2>you know. I was wasn't it comfortable.

<v Speaker 3>With non consensual rubbing against just a lot of rubbing

<v Speaker 3>against each other, have people urinating on it, which was me, but.

<v Speaker 2>No, so I just kind of bowed. I was like,

<v Speaker 2>I used public transportation for a couple of years and

<v Speaker 2>I just so I was curious to see how your

<v Speaker 2>right or left or whatever, and somebody's belly was like

<v Speaker 2>days ago. He had the best one that he told me. Sadly,

<v Speaker 2>he had a little niece pass away in his family.

<v Speaker 2>So they had a funeral for the niece and everything.

<v Speaker 2>And at the funeral, they I think she was like

<v Speaker 2>six years old or something like that, five five.

<v Speaker 3>Maybe it was five, I don't remember.

<v Speaker 2>Anyway, they released five red balloons up into the sky

<v Speaker 2>at the funeral because she loved balloons and she loved

<v Speaker 2>the color red.

<v Speaker 3>He said, no joke.

<v Speaker 2>The next five days at her house, at the niece's

<v Speaker 2>mom's house, every day a balloon landed in their yard.

<v Speaker 3>It was a red balloon.

<v Speaker 2>So it's almost like the red balloons went up in

<v Speaker 2>the air, the wind caught them, whatever. But every day

<v Speaker 2>for the next five days, a red balloon landed somewhere

<v Speaker 2>in their yard.

<v Speaker 3>That just came my whole body chills, wild, isn't it?

<v Speaker 3>I was like shit after making that up, He's like,

<v Speaker 3>oh no.

<v Speaker 2>And it got to the point like where on the

<v Speaker 2>fourth and fifth day, like they were waiting to see,

<v Speaker 2>like where are the what time?

<v Speaker 3>What's it happened? When are they gonna land where?

<v Speaker 2>And sure enough he said, they got pictures every day,

<v Speaker 2>five different days of these balloons that landed in the yard,

<v Speaker 2>and they're like, these have to be the ones from

<v Speaker 2>the funeral. This has to be the niece, you know,

<v Speaker 2>speaking to us from the great beyond.

<v Speaker 3>Isn't that a wild story? It's just so sweet.

<v Speaker 4>And heartwarming for such a situation that's heavy and just

<v Speaker 4>impossible to deal with. So yeah, I love that those

<v Speaker 4>parents were able to have a little love sent back

<v Speaker 4>to them.

<v Speaker 3>Yeah, because they needed that. So do you have stories

<v Speaker 4>I saw everybody with their fathers, and my dad was

<v Speaker 4>a huge Spider Man fan, and so the fact that

<v Speaker 4>this movie's come out and it's so big this year

<v Speaker 4>makes me think of him a lot. But there was

<v Speaker 4>a little kid in a Rockies jersey and purple hair,

<v Speaker 4>and he had Spider Man shoes on right in front

<v Speaker 4>of me, and immediately it made me think of my dad.

<v Speaker 4>So even again, we're talking about signs where you know,

<v Speaker 4>you just can't help but think of them, and you know,

<v Speaker 4>that entire day, I just like was just brought to

<v Speaker 4>tears with that thought of those you know, little Spider

<v Speaker 4>Man shoes lighting up in front of me, because it

<v Speaker 4>really made me think of my dad and really put

<v Speaker 4>a smile on my face. But yeah, those things happen

<v Speaker 4>all the time with him.

<v Speaker 3>She says, yes, I totally have one.

<v Speaker 2>She says, my dad passed away about a month ago,

<v Speaker 2>pillow kind of slid down and it looked like somebody

<v Speaker 2>was laying there like sleeping.

<v Speaker 3>And she's like, it looks like my dad was there

<v Speaker 1>dead asleep. I woke up and I looked and I

<v Speaker 1>saw this like white figure floating above me, and it

<v Speaker 1>kind of startled me a little bit, and I knew

<v Speaker 1>it was him because he then like put his hands

<v Speaker 1>like on his cheek and like tipped his head like

<v Speaker 1>telling me it's okay, just go back to sleep, because

<v Speaker 1>he never wanted me to be scared or anything. And

<v Speaker 1>what was also really crazy is my father was in

<v Speaker 1>a wheelchair from the time I was fourteen days old,

<v Speaker 1>and here he was standing, and so that was that

<v Speaker 1>was that was cool. But I just knew it was him.

<v Speaker 1>I felt it was him just telling me it's it's

<v Speaker 1>it's okay, you don't need to be scared and go

<v Speaker 1>back to sleep. And another.

<v Speaker 2>I can tell by your voice you're like still like

<v Speaker 2>kind of choked up, and it's kind of an intense

<v Speaker 2>feeling for you.

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it is pretty well. The second one was we

<v Speaker 1>used to have a great day lab named Dixie, and

<v Speaker 1>she unfortunately passed away from bone cancer. Well, my husband

<v Speaker 1>had fallen asleep on the couch and in the middle

<v Speaker 1>of the night he woke up and he felt her

<v Speaker 1>laying on him.

<v Speaker 2>And there's all sorts of paranormal activity going on with them.

<v Speaker 2>Maybe we got to hit a couple more calls because

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So the first time happened was when my sister

<v Speaker 1>passed away from cancer and the lights were like flickering

<v Speaker 1>for like about a week in my kitchen and I'm like, huh,

<v Speaker 1>I think that might be her. And then my second sister,

<v Speaker 1>we knew she was going to pass soon, and so

<v Speaker 1>I said, hey, you know, Sarah flickered the lights, Go

<v Speaker 1>ahead and flicker the lights when you know, get across

<v Speaker 1>and tell us that you're okay. I didn't tell anyone.

<v Speaker 1>That was not a conversation between me and her and

<v Speaker 1>The next day, I was staying home from work and

<v Speaker 1>my kids, who were like five and seven, I'm running upstairs. Mo, Mo, Mom,

<v Speaker 1>there's a ghost. The lights are flickering really crazy in

<v Speaker 1>the kitchen. And I was like what, And I was like, well,

<v Speaker 1>that's just your aunt Wendy. She's just telling us. She's okay,

<v Speaker 1>oh okay, that no big day. She loved so, she

<v Speaker 1>loved holidays and she then so that was early November.

<v Speaker 1>Then Thanksgiving Day they flickered for like twenty minutes and

<v Speaker 1>not just like the but like sentences and like bright

<v Speaker 1>and then low, like the light's never easy. And then

<v Speaker 1>also on Chris say So, then I videotaped it, so

<v Speaker 1>I've got video of this conversation that you know, she

<v Speaker 1>was having with us. I just don't speak flickering lights.

<v Speaker 6>Well, my father had fallen ill in the early nineteen

<v Speaker 6>eighties and his health was was really going downhill, and

<v Speaker 6>he passed away on Labor Day weekend in nineteen eighty one,

<v Speaker 6>and we were faced with having to wait a little

<v Speaker 6>while to don't do the burial because of the holiday.

<v Speaker 6>But on September ninth, we had his memorial Mass and

<v Speaker 6>everything else, and I got home to my folks house

<v Speaker 6>and my backyard. My folks backyard was a huge garden

<v Speaker 6>and my dad took so much pride in it and

<v Speaker 6>fruit trees and everything else. And shortly before he died,

<v Speaker 6>this little tiny peach tree in the backyard had a

<v Speaker 6>single peach on it, and it's gotten bigger and bigger

<v Speaker 6>and bigger, and my dad had admired it and watched

<v Speaker 6>it and everything else. So when we got home from

<v Speaker 6>the memorial service, the peach had fallen onto the ground.

<v Speaker 6>It sent me a message kind of like, you know,

<v Speaker 6>it's time, and uh, you know, I'll always remember that very.

<v Speaker 3>Much, John. I was kind of hoping there was a

<v Speaker 3>bite out of the beach. That is very sweet.

<v Speaker 2>Though the peach was ready, you know, the peach had fallen.

<v Speaker 7>I heard it one day, just going going upstairs, back

<v Speaker 7>and forth down the hallway, and I hallowed. I was like,

<v Speaker 7>Grandpa stop. And I didn't hear nothing for the rest

<v Speaker 7>of the night.

<v Speaker 7>Being dead serious. And then the next morning, whenever I

<v Speaker 7>woke up, I heard it again and I ran upstairs

<v Speaker 7>because I was like, man, somebody's got to be here,

<v Speaker 7>and nobody's there, Like the house is completely empty. I'm

<v Speaker 7>the only one there. I was like, oh no, I

<v Speaker 7>can't and do this like nope. And then I told

<v Speaker 7>my mama. I was like, hey, I'm going to go

<v Speaker 7>back to my apartment. I can't. I can't say here

<v Speaker 7>like this. I can't do it.

<v Speaker 7>She hears it every night, literally every night to this day,

<v Speaker 7>walking up and down the hallway, and then she'll video

<v Speaker 7>her talking to her dad and stuff. And there's also

<v Speaker 7>she believes that there's this blue jay that comes up
