Hello, my name is Candida Yates and I'm excited to let you know about my new podcast: Psychocultural.

The podcast brings together voices from clinical practice, universities, arts and media to explore the conscious and unconscious meanings of key words, themes and ideas that currently circulate and which shape our experience of the world.

We've some great speakers and the conversations are accessible and free associative, and each episode discusses the meanings of words, cultural concepts, and phrases that we often encounter but rarely examine, including, for example, identity theft, manifesting, complicity, conspiracy, and AI intimacy.

We'll also be exploring the emotions, affects and psychological defences that underlie those words and ideas.

I'd say that the podcast is for curious, culturally engaged minds, offering a psychodynamic lens to make sense of contemporary culture.
