<v Speaker 1>of Major League Baseball briefly. We're after making that big

<v Speaker 1>trade for starting pitcher Derek skubele the Los Angeles Dodgers, Well,

<v Speaker 1>they looked pretty average. In fact, I could even make

<v Speaker 1>a case they've looked below average because the Dodgers actually

<v Speaker 1>had a seven game losing streak going until they snapped

<v Speaker 1>it on Saturday. Not good. Of course, Now we're getting

<v Speaker 1>all the talking hairdoos on the sports networks telling us

<v Speaker 1>that hey, maybe the Dodgers aren't actually the team we

<v Speaker 1>thought they were. In fact, they might not even be

<v Speaker 1>the best team in the National League. That actually they

<v Speaker 1>could go to the Milwaukee Brewers, maybe even the Chicago Cubs,

<v Speaker 1>who are playing well right now. Hey, this Dodgers' lineup

<v Speaker 1>isn't blending. You can't just throw together all stars and

<v Speaker 1>all of a sudden just make magic. But before we

<v Speaker 1>go down that path, I'm gonna go ahead and remind

<v Speaker 1>everyone that the Dodgers had some relatively long losing streaks

<v Speaker 1>last year too, and then they went on to win

<v Speaker 1>it all. And you know why, Sometimes the Los Angeles

<v Speaker 1>Dodgers struggled during the regular season because they know the

<v Speaker 1>regular season doesn't mean anything. Hey, once the playoffs start,

<v Speaker 1>everyone is zero and zero and then you watch the

<v Speaker 1>Dodgers are going to magically hit their stride. Do not

<v Speaker 1>believe the hype that the Dodgers aren't going to be

<v Speaker 1>as good. Hey, remember last year they got taken to

<v Speaker 1>a game seven. That's all great. We don't have a

<v Speaker 1>team that's going to push them like that. Don't believe

<v Speaker 1>the hype. The Dodgers are absolutely just coasting right now. Oh,

<v Speaker 1>they'll turn it up when it matters. Hey, Today on

<v Speaker 1>the DOSK, we are continuing to get you ready for

<v Speaker 1>the coming football season that is now less than a

<v Speaker 1>month away. We're actually going to be taking a look

<v Speaker 1>at some of the most important players to keep an

<v Speaker 1>eye on when those seasons get started. Also, the Pro

<v Speaker 1>Football Hall of Fame inducted five new members over the weekend,

<v Speaker 1>and that kind of got our daily dose top five.

<v Speaker 1>Thinking going to be taking a look at a few

<v Speaker 1>other players that are going to be joining them in

<v Speaker 1>Canton soon. But first, a little bit of news that

<v Speaker 1>we've got to discuss. And I swear we've got to

<v Speaker 1>stop meeting like this, but we have to discuss the

<v Speaker 1>WNBA again, and it's going to be about dumb things again.

<v Speaker 1>This is going to get a little bumpy hold on

<v Speaker 1>for dear life. Just a few weeks after Any had

<v Speaker 1>feverguard Sophie Cunningham spoke out in controversial fashion I'm putting

<v Speaker 1>controversial in air quotes. The WNBA felt like they had

<v Speaker 1>to respond in a big way. Okay, what did Cunningham

<v Speaker 1>say that was so controversial. Well, she was speaking about

<v Speaker 1>biological men playing in women's sports, and Cunningham said, and

<v Speaker 1>I quote, I am here to extend love, but I

<v Speaker 1>also think that love is truth and being honest, and

<v Speaker 1>I want to protect young girls in a locker room

<v Speaker 1>or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go

<v Speaker 1>against biological men. Now, I realize in this era that

<v Speaker 1>statement might sound controversial, but honestly it is. However, the

<v Speaker 1>WNBA is trying to drum up some business and it

<v Speaker 1>doesn't look like that's going to be due to their game,

<v Speaker 1>so they came out with a hardline stance, condemning Sophie

<v Speaker 1>Cunningham for what she said. The Women's National Basketball Players

<v Speaker 1>Association issued a statement on Friday praising the different lived experiences, cultures, lifestyles,

<v Speaker 1>and opinions in the wake of trans athlete debate reaching

<v Speaker 1>the WNBA. Here's what they said to everyone who loves

<v Speaker 1>this game. The WNBPA represents two hundred plus individual people

<v Speaker 1>with different lived experiences, cultures, lifestyles, and opinions. We embrace justice, equity, diversity,

<v Speaker 1>and inclusion. Those are the values that unite this union

<v Speaker 1>and allow it to protect women's sports while creating transformational change.

<v Speaker 1>That is what they said in their statement. Hate abuse

<v Speaker 1>and demonization of any person or group of people, including

<v Speaker 1>transgender people, only fuel fear, division and harm. We will

<v Speaker 1>continue to have hard conversations, but we will not be

<v Speaker 1>used as political pawns. Okay, well, not so fast because

<v Speaker 1>immediately following those statements, that WNBPA was actually used as

<v Speaker 1>a political pawn because former NBA players Enis Cantor and

<v Speaker 1>Royce White stated that they are now trans and they

<v Speaker 1>have declared for the WNBA draft. On Monday, Cantor formally

<v Speaker 1>submitted his letter to be eligible for the draft. Well,

<v Speaker 1>now the WNBA has some decisions to make. Hey, they

<v Speaker 1>can reject both players, and they can just not give

<v Speaker 1>a reason. It's not a great choice, but this is

<v Speaker 1>a league that makes poor choices. So it tracks number two.

<v Speaker 1>They can reject the two players as cisgendered men. For reference.

<v Speaker 1>I don't know that I've ever used the words sis gendered.

<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure I used it right. Feel free to

<v Speaker 1>correct me if I didn't. I don't know. But the

<v Speaker 1>WNBA can say we will not allow biological men to

<v Speaker 1>play in the Women's National Basketball Association. I mean that

<v Speaker 1>would seem to make sense, but again, not right now,

<v Speaker 1>and the WNBA isn't exactly known for their ability to

<v Speaker 1>think rationally. Okay, so that's option number two. Third, they

<v Speaker 1>can kind of scramble and add a clause into the

<v Speaker 1>rule book that outlines who can and cannot play in

<v Speaker 1>their league. For example, they could say something along the

<v Speaker 1>lines of trans women can only enter the draft after

<v Speaker 1>I don't know, showing proper transition history or hormon love

<v Speaker 1>or something like that. I know they've kind of done

<v Speaker 1>some of that in the Olympics, and the league could

<v Speaker 1>create some sort of criteria and then they could kind

<v Speaker 1>of get out of that mess this way. But that

<v Speaker 1>isn't exactly falling in line with what they're saying in

<v Speaker 1>their statements, because they're saying you have to be inclusive

<v Speaker 1>to everyone. But then can you go back and say, well,

<v Speaker 1>we're only inclusive to certain hormone levels or transition levels.

<v Speaker 1>I don't know. That kind of seems dicey. Lastly, they

<v Speaker 1>can allow the six foot ten, two hundred and fifty

<v Speaker 1>pound canter and the six eight two hundred and sixty

<v Speaker 1>pounds white to join their league and play in their league.

<v Speaker 1>I'm a little worried that someone might get their stirnam cracked,

<v Speaker 1>that they might end up regretting that decision. But either way,

<v Speaker 1>the WNBA has some decisions that they're going to have

<v Speaker 1>to make, and I'm gonna be honest, I probably won't

<v Speaker 1>watch a single minute of any of their games. They

<v Speaker 1>just talk too much. They're always trying to get in

<v Speaker 1>the news for something other than their play. However, I

<v Speaker 1>am going to watch how they handle this. I'm not

<v Speaker 1>saying I'm going to watch their games, but if Cantor

<v Speaker 1>and White are allowed to play, oh then I'm all in.

<v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm gonna watch. I want to see what's

<v Speaker 1>gonna happen. I'll pick a favorite team, I'll do it all.

<v Speaker 1>If they actually allow that to happen, I'm pretty sure

<v Speaker 1>they're gonna have to contradict themselves and ban these two

<v Speaker 1>from entering their league, or else just ignore it and

<v Speaker 1>act like they'd never heard about it. Anyways, I'm done

<v Speaker 1>talking about the WAA for a while. Okay, we're going

<v Speaker 1>to be talking some college football later on the dose,

<v Speaker 1>but we have a few stories to touch on first

<v Speaker 1>and for one, the very first Coach's Poll was released

<v Speaker 1>this week in college football, and Ohio State will be

<v Speaker 1>starting the season as a number one team in the

<v Speaker 1>Coach's Poll. Side note, the Coach's poll after the first

<v Speaker 1>one is primarily stupid because coaches don't watch other teams. Anyways,

<v Speaker 1>it's the first time the Buckeyes will start number one

<v Speaker 1>in the Coaches Pole says twenty fifteen. Another Big Ten team,

<v Speaker 1>Oregon is number two, followed by Georgia, Texas at four,

<v Speaker 1>and Notre Dame at five. Defending national champion Indiana, who

<v Speaker 1>did go sixteen and all last year and won their

<v Speaker 1>first title in school history. We'll start at number six.

<v Speaker 1>The Hoosias were actually among six teams that did receive

<v Speaker 1>first place votes and had the second most with fourteen

<v Speaker 1>first place votes. You know what that tells me? That

<v Speaker 1>tells me other coaches are jealous of Kurt Signetti and

<v Speaker 1>they're trying to curse him. Oregon got six first place votes,

<v Speaker 1>Georgia got seven, Texas got two. I'm not sure who

<v Speaker 1>voted for them besides their own head coach, Steve Sarkasan

<v Speaker 1>at Notre Dame got five first place votes. The SEC

<v Speaker 1>led the way with nine teams in the initial coaches

<v Speaker 1>poll and half of the top ten. The Big Ten

<v Speaker 1>had eight teams, the Big Twelve had four, and the

<v Speaker 1>eight ACC had three. Can the SEC get back on

<v Speaker 1>top this year? It's not gonna be easy. Hey. One

<v Speaker 1>brief update to the college football playoff format. The ACC,

<v Speaker 1>Big Twelve, Big Ten, and SEC champions now must get

<v Speaker 1>automatic playoff bids. That means a powerful champion no longer

<v Speaker 1>has to be one of the five highest ranked conference

<v Speaker 1>champs to get in. Wait, there's more. The group of

<v Speaker 1>five schools now must scroun before one shared conference champion spot.

<v Speaker 1>Oh and also the College Football Playoff gave Notre Dame

<v Speaker 1>their very own rule. If the Domers finished in the

<v Speaker 1>top twelve, they automatically get in. You know, I can't

<v Speaker 1>figure out why people hate Notre Dame so much. It's

<v Speaker 1>really really weird. One last story that you will also

<v Speaker 1>not believe that I'm not making up, but I swear

<v Speaker 1>I'm not. It sounds fake, it's not. Thanks to an

<v Speaker 1>idiot judge from my home state of Colorado, the NC

<v Speaker 1>DOUBLEA took a massive hit to their new five and

<v Speaker 1>five eligibility rule that was implemented earlier this month. Judge

<v Speaker 1>Charlotte Sweeney of the US District Court of Colorado has

<v Speaker 1>granted a preliminary injunction that is class wide and orders

<v Speaker 1>the NC DOUBLEA to create a blanket waiver that grants

<v Speaker 1>all athletes an additional year of eligibility for the upcoming year.

<v Speaker 1>Now I say Charlotte Sweeney's name specifically because I know

<v Speaker 1>we do have a lot of listeners here in Colorado,

<v Speaker 1>and I want you to remember that name when it

<v Speaker 1>comes time to vote her out, because she clearly knows

<v Speaker 1>nothing about athletics in any capacity. Here's what local idiot

<v Speaker 1>Sweeney said. All persons in the United States who began

<v Speaker 1>play in collegiate sports in the twenty twenty two twenty

<v Speaker 1>twenty three season competed in nc DOUBLEA Division one sports

<v Speaker 1>and completed four years of eligibility and are therefore barred

<v Speaker 1>from playing a fifth year. Dude, the NCAA's adoption and

<v Speaker 1>immediate implementation of the five year eligibility rule that means

<v Speaker 1>players who already completed their playing careers, declared for the draft,

<v Speaker 1>were drafted, may have even played at a professional level,

<v Speaker 1>are now eligible to come back and play again. You're

<v Speaker 1>not hearing that wrong. That's absolutely what's happening. It is idiotic,

<v Speaker 1>and it makes a mockery of the entire process. But

<v Speaker 1>what else is new that seems to be all college

<v Speaker 1>athletics are now just a joke. But here's the thing.

<v Speaker 1>This Charlotte Sweeney who did this, she's doing it and

<v Speaker 1>she's thinking it's not a victimal situation. She's wrong because

<v Speaker 1>there are young kids, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen year old kids

<v Speaker 1>that are going to miss out on opportunities because this

<v Speaker 1>idiot judge that knows nothing about athletics thinks she's doing

<v Speaker 1>something beneficial, but she's hurting kids. As usual, I say

<v Speaker 1>it all the time, it isn't the kids that screw

<v Speaker 1>things up for the kids, it's the adults that screw

<v Speaker 1>things up for the kids. Again, that name is Charlotte Sweeney.

<v Speaker 1>We are now just a little over two weeks from

<v Speaker 1>college football getting underway, and today on the podcast, I

<v Speaker 1>wanted to continue to get us ready for the season,

<v Speaker 1>and this week I want to focus on the most

<v Speaker 1>important position in all sports. Honestly, spin it however you want,

<v Speaker 1>but if you have a quarterback, you got a chance

<v Speaker 1>to win it all, and if you don't, your odds

<v Speaker 1>are not going to be good. Today, we are going

<v Speaker 1>to be giving you our five best college football quarterbacks

<v Speaker 1>for the upcoming season, in no particular order. And I

<v Speaker 1>know there will be people that do not like my list.

<v Speaker 1>I understand completely, but here we go. Number five. I'm

<v Speaker 1>going to put Michigan sophomore Bryce Underwood. Now, I don't

<v Speaker 1>want to compare him to some of the greatest quarterbacks ever,

<v Speaker 1>but I will say this, this kid has some of

<v Speaker 1>those same physical tools. He just looks like he might

<v Speaker 1>be special. Last season, as a freshman, Underwood threw for

<v Speaker 1>twenty four hundred yards. He wasn't great. He ran for

<v Speaker 1>four hundred yards, okay, and he had twelve touchdowns. Well

<v Speaker 1>that was basically all done just on his physical ability.

<v Speaker 1>This season, he has a new head coach in Kyle Whittingham.

<v Speaker 1>He has a new offensive coordinator in John Beck, who

<v Speaker 1>has produced big numbers wherever he's coached. Oh and, by

<v Speaker 1>the way, his quarterback coach Koy Detmer, yet he knows

<v Speaker 1>a little something about playing the position too. Now, Underwood

<v Speaker 1>will need his receivers to grow up quickly, but we

<v Speaker 1>know that Whittingham is going to upgrade that offensive front.

<v Speaker 1>If Michigan's run game can improve and take some of

<v Speaker 1>the pressure off of Underwood, get ready for a big

<v Speaker 1>sea because this kid is talented. Next is a guy

<v Speaker 1>that has spent the past four seasons in Dallas Fort

<v Speaker 1>Worth with Sunny Dykes at Texas Christian, where he threw

<v Speaker 1>for nearly ten thousand yards and seventy one touchdowns. Well

<v Speaker 1>in the modern New era of college football, Josh Houver

<v Speaker 1>isn't done because he is now transferred to Bloomington, Indiana

<v Speaker 1>and will be playing for Kurt Signetti and the defending

<v Speaker 1>champion Indiana Hoosiers. And I know Indiana lost some people,

<v Speaker 1>but Indiana is going to be a title contender again

<v Speaker 1>this year. They do have some of their offensive lineback,

<v Speaker 1>they do have some of the receivers back. Can they

<v Speaker 1>get a tight end because we remember last year Riley Nolakowski,

<v Speaker 1>he made some big plays for them. If so, Josh

<v Speaker 1>Houver is gonna have a big season. Hey, remember Fernando

<v Speaker 1>Mendoza threw for over thirty five hundred yards last year.

<v Speaker 1>Josh Hooper might be better realized. Chris Signetti is kind

<v Speaker 1>of a jerk, is a really good coaching jerk. He

<v Speaker 1>might make Hoover a better player. Yet, the next guy

<v Speaker 1>on my list, Hey, I'll be honest, it might be

<v Speaker 1>a system pick. But Lane Kiffen has made guys like

<v Speaker 1>Jonathan Crompton, Matt Barkley, Jason Driscoll, Matt Krall, and Trinidad

<v Speaker 1>Shambles into top passers. So what in the world can

<v Speaker 1>Lane do this year? With former Arizona State quarterbacks Sam Levitt.

<v Speaker 1>Remember Levitt threw for twenty five hundred yards and twenty

<v Speaker 1>four touchdowns two years ago and he led the Sun

<v Speaker 1>Devils to the College Football Playoff. Well, the key for

<v Speaker 1>Levitt is going to be eliminating some of his boneheaded plays.

<v Speaker 1>He made too many of them last year, and I

<v Speaker 1>think some of those plays were made because he was

<v Speaker 1>just trying to do too much, because he lost too

<v Speaker 1>much of his supporting cast. But Levitt is going to

<v Speaker 1>inherit a monster of a tight end in trade as Green.

<v Speaker 1>He's a giant guy that runs like a deer. And

<v Speaker 1>this lsa team. They will have more talent than ever

<v Speaker 1>hadn't Tempe. Can he be a leader? Can he bring

<v Speaker 1>people together because they have a lot of transfers and

<v Speaker 1>get them to Bland to become a team. This says

<v Speaker 1>a gimme. But Sam Levitt should be very very good.

<v Speaker 1>I've got him at number three. Now I'm going to

<v Speaker 1>say my number two quarterback, and some of you are

<v Speaker 1>going to scoff and I completely understand, but hear me out.

<v Speaker 1>Last season, in his final eight games, he faced five

<v Speaker 1>top twenty teams. He went seven to one, with twenty

<v Speaker 1>touchdowns and averaged two hundred and fifty yards passing per game. Hey,

<v Speaker 1>I realized the Arch Manning started slow last year at Texas,

<v Speaker 1>but he bounced back in a big way. Don't believe

<v Speaker 1>that hype again that he is only getting talked about

<v Speaker 1>because of his last name, because it is true. Arch

<v Speaker 1>finished a so called bad season by throwing for over

<v Speaker 1>three thousand yards as a sophomore. Now, what if he

<v Speaker 1>eliminates some of his bad plays? What if he eliminates

<v Speaker 1>some of those bad plays that weren't even his fault

<v Speaker 1>because Arch had twenty two wide receiver drops last year. Hey,

<v Speaker 1>if Arch Manning is more consistent, he's going to be

<v Speaker 1>one of the top quarterbacks in the country without a doubt.

<v Speaker 1>He could play. And I will finish our del those

<v Speaker 1>top five quarterbacks for the coming college football season with

<v Speaker 1>the guy that I honestly I probably like him the most,

<v Speaker 1>and that is Oregon quarterback Dante Moore. I actually think

<v Speaker 1>Moore could have been a very high pick had he

<v Speaker 1>declared for this past season's NFL draft, but he stayed

<v Speaker 1>and he might be even better this year. I mean,

<v Speaker 1>Moore is just a junior and he threw for thirty

<v Speaker 1>six hundred yards last year. He had thirty touchdowns. Last year,

<v Speaker 1>he led the Ducks to the College Football Playoff, where

<v Speaker 1>they thumped Texas Tech but then lost to eventual champion Indiana. Now,

<v Speaker 1>does more need to perform better in big games this year? Yeah,

<v Speaker 1>without a doubt. But this team, they might be the

<v Speaker 1>most talented team on both sides of the ball this year.

<v Speaker 1>And Dante Moore should have a monster season. Hey, if

<v Speaker 1>I didn't mention your favorite quarterback, believe me, it wasn't

<v Speaker 1>a slight. We have a monster quarterback classes here. Think

<v Speaker 1>about the guys that just missed this list. Ole Missus

<v Speaker 1>Trinity at shambless, Ohio State's Julian Saying, Notre Dame CJ. Carr,

<v Speaker 1>Miami's Darien Mensa, Oklahoma's John Mattier was having a huge

<v Speaker 1>season last year when he got hurt. Marcel Reid of

<v Speaker 1>Texas A and m had some big moments. Dunnar Stockton

<v Speaker 1>will have Georgia in big games. Rock o'beck is now

<v Speaker 1>at Penn State from Iowa State, and Leonora Sellers at

<v Speaker 1>South Carolina is going to be really fun to watch

<v Speaker 1>this year. Know the biggest takeaway I have the NFL

<v Speaker 1>Draft could be historic next year for quarterbacks. Speaking of

<v Speaker 1>that NFL, let's now move over to the NFL where

<v Speaker 1>we are going to give you our daily those top

<v Speaker 1>five quarterbacks going into this season. Now, I will warn

<v Speaker 1>you ahead of time. You might not like my list,

<v Speaker 1>you might disagree, but here is my quarterback ranking of

<v Speaker 1>the top five NFL quarterbacks. What did I base it on?

<v Speaker 1>Eelson City, Iowa star off at number five. And I

<v Speaker 1>will tell you that I almost left this guy off

<v Speaker 1>the list completely because he just can't seem to stay

<v Speaker 1>on the field. And that, of course is Cincinnati Bengals

<v Speaker 1>quarterback Joe Burrow. Yes, I realize Burrow keeps missing time.

<v Speaker 1>He has now missed significant time in three of his

<v Speaker 1>six seasons. He has only played in every game on

<v Speaker 1>the Bengals schedule once that was in twenty twenty four,

<v Speaker 1>and since he went just nine and eight. And I'm

<v Speaker 1>starting to get really concerned that this is just who

<v Speaker 1>Joe Burrow is. And yet when he is on the field,

<v Speaker 1>he is spectacular. In six seasons in limited playing time,

<v Speaker 1>Joe Burrow has gone forty three, thirty three and one.

<v Speaker 1>Not as good as some other guys, but still okay.

<v Speaker 1>And remember he's doing this in Cincinnati. That does count

<v Speaker 1>extra but on average, even while hurt, Joe Burrow throws

<v Speaker 1>for forty six hundred yards and thirty five touchdowns every year.

<v Speaker 1>Oh and by the way, he's gone five to two

<v Speaker 1>in the postseason. He has beaten the Kansas City Chiefs

<v Speaker 1>in Arrowhead, he has beaten Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

<v Speaker 1>He has gone to a Super Bowl, and in that

<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl he was like a player two from pulling

<v Speaker 1>off the upset and beating the Los Angeles Rams and

<v Speaker 1>winning a Super Bowl for Cincinnati. I mean, Burrow has

<v Speaker 1>to prove he can stay on the field, and he

<v Speaker 1>really needs a supporting cast to step up and give

<v Speaker 1>him some help. But I've got Joe Burrow at number five.

<v Speaker 1>It's a little tenuous, but I'm gonna keep him there.

<v Speaker 1>We're going to put Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson at

<v Speaker 1>number four. All this guy does is put up MVP

<v Speaker 1>like numbers every single year, and he has won the

<v Speaker 1>MVP Award twice. On average, his team goes twelve and

<v Speaker 1>five every single year over eight years. He throws on

<v Speaker 1>average for thirty three hundred yards, he runs for another

<v Speaker 1>three hundred, and he's responsible for thirty two touchdowns a year. Also,

<v Speaker 1>he only throws eight interceptions per year. Those are some

<v Speaker 1>seriously elite numbers. Okay, but why do I have him

<v Speaker 1>at number four. That's probably because he's only gone three

<v Speaker 1>and five in the playoffs and he's never made a

<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl. Oh when also in those playoff games he's

<v Speaker 1>crashed back down to earth a bit. In eight postseason games,

<v Speaker 1>I've got Lamar Jackson at number four. At number three

<v Speaker 1>I have, Well, I kind of have the exact same

<v Speaker 1>player as I have at number four. He just plays

<v Speaker 1>for a different team and he has a different style.

<v Speaker 1>But Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is another guy that

<v Speaker 1>puts up MVP numbers every year. Allen is going into

<v Speaker 1>his ninth season in the NFL, making me feel old

<v Speaker 1>saying that, and as a starter he has gone eighty

<v Speaker 1>eight and thirty nine, pretty impressive. He throwst for nearly

<v Speaker 1>four thousand yards a year. He has an average of

<v Speaker 1>twenty nine touchdowns. He is also a short yardage monster

<v Speaker 1>because Josh Allen runs Robert six hundred yards and he

<v Speaker 1>scores an additional ten touchdowns with his legs. So again,

<v Speaker 1>why is Josh Allen only at three? A lot of

<v Speaker 1>people have Josh Allen at one. He might be the

<v Speaker 1>best quarterback in the league. Well, because once again in

<v Speaker 1>the playoffs, Josh hasn't done very well. He's eight and

<v Speaker 1>seven as a starter now. He has had some rough

<v Speaker 1>losses that were absolutely not his fault, and he has

<v Speaker 1>also been completely outplayed by guy's name Bo Nix and

<v Speaker 1>Deshaun Watson. Hey, I'd be glad to move Josh Allen

<v Speaker 1>up this list, but he's got to produce something in

<v Speaker 1>the postseason. So I've got Josh Allen at number three.

<v Speaker 1>We moved next to number two, and we have the

<v Speaker 1>guy that is the eldest member on this list. But

<v Speaker 1>he has longevity, and he has the winning and he

<v Speaker 1>has the stats. Yes, Through his first twelve seasons in

<v Speaker 1>the league, Matt Stafford went just seventy four ninety and

<v Speaker 1>one as a starter, but that was when he was

<v Speaker 1>a member of a very dysfunctional Detroit Lions franchise. Since

<v Speaker 1>leaving Detroit and going to the Los Angeles Rams, Hey,

<v Speaker 1>Stafford has been dominant. He has gone forty six and

<v Speaker 1>twenty eight as a starter in LA On average, he

<v Speaker 1>throws for forty six hundred yards a year, thirty touchdowns.

<v Speaker 1>He's seven to three in the postseason as a Ram,

<v Speaker 1>and in twenty twenty two he won a Super Bowl.

<v Speaker 1>And don't look now, but this season the LA Rams

<v Speaker 1>are the Las Vegas favorite to win it all. I've

<v Speaker 1>got Matt Stafford number two, and at number one, we

<v Speaker 1>have a guy that I still rank up the top spot.

<v Speaker 1>But I do want to say he's got some big

<v Speaker 1>work ahead of him this year because Patrick Mahomes is

<v Speaker 1>coming off that knee injury. His receivers have a number

<v Speaker 1>of questions. The offensive line has to get better. The

<v Speaker 1>Kansas City Chiefs just went six and eleven. Their offensive

<v Speaker 1>coordinator is currently missing training camp on a disturbing personal matter.

<v Speaker 1>But who else can go here? At one? Get this?

<v Speaker 1>Mahomes is now ninety five and thirty one as a starter. Impressive.

<v Speaker 1>He's also seventeen and four in playoff games, and in

<v Speaker 1>those postseason games he is thrown in insane forty six

<v Speaker 1>touchdowns with only ten interceptions. This is what separates him

<v Speaker 1>from the rest of the pack. His ability to come

<v Speaker 1>through in the clutch in the biggest games, and his

<v Speaker 1>ability to take care of the football in the clutch.

<v Speaker 1>That is why I still have Patrick Mahomes as the

<v Speaker 1>top quarterback in the NFL until proven otherwise. And believe me,

<v Speaker 1>as a Broncos fan, I really really want to be

<v Speaker 1>proven otherwise. Now, as we do so many weeks here

<v Speaker 1>at the Daily Dose, we need to get over to

<v Speaker 1>our daily dose top five. The twenty twenty six Pro

<v Speaker 1>Football Hall of Fame Game took place last Thursday. We

<v Speaker 1>actually got a really good game. The Carolina Panthers rallied

<v Speaker 1>in the fourth quarter to beat the Arizona Cardinals thirty

<v Speaker 1>three to thirty in a game that honestly might have

<v Speaker 1>been more fun to watch it in the past Super Bowl.

<v Speaker 1>And then on Saturday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame

<v Speaker 1>officially enshrined five players quarterback Drew Brees, running back Roger Craig,

<v Speaker 1>linebacker Luke Keikley, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, and kicker Adam

<v Speaker 1>Vinatieri into its halls. But the twenty twenty six NFL

<v Speaker 1>regular season is going to be starting in less than

<v Speaker 1>a month. So here's my question. Which current NFL players

<v Speaker 1>are already a lock for the Pro Football Hall of

<v Speaker 1>Fame when they retire Today, he does top five. He's

<v Speaker 1>counting down five players that are already set to be

<v Speaker 1>enshrined among the greats. It's just a matter of time.

<v Speaker 1>We start off at number five and we get to

<v Speaker 1>a guy that I just spoke about, But I think

<v Speaker 1>Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford is already a lot

<v Speaker 1>to get into that Hall of Fame. Now, my only

<v Speaker 1>question is has he ever been the top quarterback in

<v Speaker 1>the NFL during his career? No? Probably not, although he's

<v Speaker 1>currently in that conversation. But in his seventeen year career,

<v Speaker 1>Stafford has thrown for over sixty four thousand yards and

<v Speaker 1>four hundred and twenty three touchdowns. That ranks him in

<v Speaker 1>the top seven. Ever, that should do it. Oh, the

<v Speaker 1>add onto that resume the fact that Stafford is a

<v Speaker 1>three time Pro bowler, a Super Bowl champion, a league MVP,

<v Speaker 1>and I mean he's getting in. It's just a matter

<v Speaker 1>of time. Matt Stafford comes into date at number five,

<v Speaker 1>we go next to number four, and we go to

<v Speaker 1>a guy that will be starting his ninth season in

<v Speaker 1>the NFL. Drafted number six overall out of Notre Dame

<v Speaker 1>back in twenty ten, offensive guard Quentin Nelson has been

<v Speaker 1>a Pro Bowler in every single season of his career

<v Speaker 1>so far with the Indianapolis Colts. Well, that's a surefire

<v Speaker 1>way to get in. He is also a three time

<v Speaker 1>first team All Pro for an offensive lineman. Yeah, that's

<v Speaker 1>a done deal. Add into the fact that in his

<v Speaker 1>eight season so far, Nelson has yet to miss a game,

<v Speaker 1>and you can see how easily he makes our list today.

<v Speaker 1>Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Quinton Nelson. Yeah, he's going to

<v Speaker 1>the Hall of Fame. He comes in today at number four.

<v Speaker 1>We arrive at number three, and we have another guy

<v Speaker 1>here that is already a lock for the Hall of Fame,

<v Speaker 1>but he's only thirty, so he's going to do more.

<v Speaker 1>And this year is going to be one of the

<v Speaker 1>biggest tests of his career because, like we just said,

<v Speaker 1>Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is coming back from

<v Speaker 1>that knee injury. The Chiefs are coming up of their

<v Speaker 1>worst season since twenty fourteen. But I mean mahomes record

<v Speaker 1>is already Hall of Fame WORDB. In his nine seasons,

<v Speaker 1>Mahomes is ninety five and thirty one As a starter.

<v Speaker 1>He has already thrown for thirty six thousand yards and

<v Speaker 1>two hundred and sixty seven touchdowns. He's a six time

<v Speaker 1>Pro Bowler, a two time League Most Valuable Player, and

<v Speaker 1>he has won three Super Bowls and in all three

<v Speaker 1>of those Super Bowls he has been named the game's MVP. Hey,

<v Speaker 1>Patrick Mahomes doesn't have to play another snap. He's getting

<v Speaker 1>into the Hall of Fame. And he comes in to

<v Speaker 1>day at number three. We reached number two and we

<v Speaker 1>get to another guy that has racked up a really

<v Speaker 1>impressive NFL career. He has now played all thirteen seasons

<v Speaker 1>in his career for the Philadelphia Eagles. They actually selected

<v Speaker 1>him number four back in twenty thirteen. Well, Lane Johnson

<v Speaker 1>has been the best right tackle in football for most

<v Speaker 1>all of his career, and that is usually an automatic

<v Speaker 1>pass into the Hall of Fame. Now Here are two

<v Speaker 1>things that might hinder Lane Johnson. One, he's had a

<v Speaker 1>lot of injuries. Two he's had some ped suspensions. Now

<v Speaker 1>Johnson himself has said maybe he shouldn't be in the

<v Speaker 1>Hall of Fame, and I'm sure there will be voters

<v Speaker 1>who won't consider him, but I believe, as usual, people

<v Speaker 1>will kind of forget about that. They'll look at the numbers,

<v Speaker 1>they won't have actually seen him play, They'll just see

<v Speaker 1>the stat sheet. They'll go, my goodness, he was the

<v Speaker 1>best right tackle in football for most of his career,

<v Speaker 1>and they'll focus on that body of work, and as

<v Speaker 1>a result, Lane Johnson will eventually get into the Hall

<v Speaker 1>of Fame. He comes into it at number two. So

<v Speaker 1>we reach the number one current NFL player that is

<v Speaker 1>already a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame,

<v Speaker 1>and we get to a guy that is rubbings with

<v Speaker 1>people the wrong way, and his career has definitely been

<v Speaker 1>on the decline. But after playing twenty one seasons in

<v Speaker 1>the NFL, Yeah, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, He's going

<v Speaker 1>to get his gold jacket. It is just a matter

<v Speaker 1>of time. Over sixty six thousand yards, crazy, five hundred

<v Speaker 1>and twenty seven touchdowns, insane. He's a ten time Pro Bowler,

<v Speaker 1>a four time League MVP. He does have that won

<v Speaker 1>Super Bowl, and he is without a doubt, one of

<v Speaker 1>the most athletic quarterbacks to ever play the game. Love

<v Speaker 1>him or hate him, Aaron Rodgers is going to the

<v Speaker 1>Hall of Fame. It is just a matter of time. Hey,
