[SPEAKER_10]: To do the best-handy work that a person can do in their home and I take you back to maybe I want to say at the very least it was six months ago, but in my living room I moved my chair my favorite chair a lot of men have their chair.

[SPEAKER_10]: They're favorite recliners teacher.

[SPEAKER_10]: No, I kept my chair and I moved my recliner into the front space the little

[SPEAKER_10]: setting room that we have in our house and uh... car alert it's a parlor it's exactly what it's like but it's not i don't know how i don't know a house that would have a parlor it's not big and it's by definition i think it's a parlor although that's ill named you know i don't think they use the phrase it it's like master bedroom you just don't say it the parlor the parlor but it really feels right when you say parlor it feels right well because it's right area for entertaining first time i was there we sat in the parlor

[SPEAKER_10]: I got a big, big, armor bar in there that, you know, I hardly ever used to be honest with you.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't use the, okay, Mike.

[SPEAKER_10]: and I'm sitting in there with the recliner and chatting with Carla months and months and months and months ago and she had we had slid the recliner across the floor into the parlor up against the wall next to the bar the armwar bar do you know what I'm saying with an armwar bar it's a free standing yeah of course a cabinet that has shelves in

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to cabinet now Mike.

[SPEAKER_09]: I know we've probably been dumped this road before, but as a furniture guy, I feel I must ask what is the brand of your recliner do you know I have no idea Is it a park a lounger?

[SPEAKER_09]: Is it my boy?

[SPEAKER_10]: It might be natuzy.

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, that's a good.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's a very that it's leather.

[SPEAKER_09]: It's a it's a high-end leather I'm pretty sure it's natuzy.

[SPEAKER_10]: The news he was in the corner and I remember we're having a conversation and it was, uh, I forgot what it was about, but it was not ultra pleasant.

[SPEAKER_10]: We were in there like talking about Michael's behavior or something negative like that where I was not really paying attention.

[SPEAKER_10]: And as I put the

[SPEAKER_10]: Open as I press the little button I hear

[SPEAKER_10]: And I didn't think anything that I really once before.

[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, no.

[SPEAKER_10]: Now this is the first time.

[SPEAKER_10]: I thought you destroyed a phone.

[SPEAKER_09]: There was a phone and your recliner at once.

[SPEAKER_09]: That was the phone.

[SPEAKER_10]: That was the phone.

[SPEAKER_10]: Great.

[SPEAKER_10]: Great.

[SPEAKER_10]: A sound rob ever came up with was the sound of the phone cracking inside the recliner.

[SPEAKER_10]: This is the same recliner that did that damage though.

[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: That is the same recliner.

[SPEAKER_10]: Now not to be confused with the furniture that replaced the recliner.

[SPEAKER_10]: which does not destroy phones, but it eats phones, it eats remotes, it eats mouse size, full size, laptop computers, it eats pens, glasses, credit cards, wallets, anything you can make of.

[SPEAKER_10]: You name it.

[SPEAKER_11]: And it's a child.

[SPEAKER_11]: We had a couch like that.

[SPEAKER_11]: And I would love it because my dad would lose cash in that couch all the time.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's a dollar bill.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, it's a it's a as we say in New England.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a defect not a defect.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a defect.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it was.

[SPEAKER_09]: Would you ever lose anything that you bought at the packing?

[SPEAKER_10]: uh... the packing the package store i look behind me and i have board a wall uh... whole the likes of which is uh... you know it is probably so you were five inches by three inches i yeah i i open and there was just no resistance at just smashed right into the wall and it was been there the holes been there and you know and then what did i do well i slid the recliner right up in front of it we never use that room anyway

[SPEAKER_10]: left it, but now the task has been over the last couple of weeks to get it going, and to clarify, you knew that the damage had been done, and you just sort of backburner did.

[SPEAKER_10]: because you did a long time.

[SPEAKER_10]: He said as a swallow.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's like hanging a picture over a hole.

[SPEAKER_10]: It is.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's like the Shawshank redemption.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it is a matter of fact, my whole time to escape.

[SPEAKER_10]: My or escape.

[SPEAKER_10]: My, my whole is bigger.

[SPEAKER_10]: Look out the Shawshank redemption hole.

[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: You know, you can lean over and go, you can lean over and go.

[SPEAKER_10]: But it was, I always forget the name, the amount of yardage that it was.

[SPEAKER_10]: Was it 300 yards of filth of foulness?

[SPEAKER_09]: I think it was 200, because I'll lean all look out.

[SPEAKER_10]: And they do frame crawl through 300 yards of 500 yards.

[SPEAKER_11]: It says 500 yards, uh, just under half a mile.

[SPEAKER_10]: Boy, just under half a mile.

[SPEAKER_10]: Five football fields for anti-dry and football fields for anti-dry and they do frame.

[SPEAKER_10]: Then he was free.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: That means he can already read.

[SPEAKER_10]: So yesterday, the last couple of days has been acquiring the right product.

[SPEAKER_10]: I have a, I don't know what the names of the tools are, but I have the big wide thing that you can pack.

[SPEAKER_10]: How do you know that?

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, the big big one though, big flat one.

[SPEAKER_10]: I got a smaller one because the big one makes it hard to get the little packaging to come out, right?

[SPEAKER_10]: So here's what's wonderful.

[SPEAKER_10]: There's a whole point in me saying because I'm always out for consumers to improve their lives.

[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you Mike.

[SPEAKER_10]: I want people to be happy.

[SPEAKER_10]: I got this wall patch and when I bought it at the Marta wall and I'll get to them later, I'll get to that shiit hole later.

[SPEAKER_09]: So there's layers to this story.

[SPEAKER_10]: Like a wall patch.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: I use this sticker patch or something that goes inside the wall.

[SPEAKER_10]: This is two different stores.

[SPEAKER_10]: I went to the Sunshine San Carlos Ace Hardware store, find out fit.

[SPEAKER_09]: Is that the one that you've always established?

[SPEAKER_09]: I know you love Ace Hardware.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's your host store.

[SPEAKER_10]: to be honest with you, last year or two, little slippage, and right now they're in the middle of a remodel, and that's really what they give a shit about.

[SPEAKER_10]: Well, they don't give a shit about consumers.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, they'll have one solution for your problem, maybe two.

[SPEAKER_11]: So they'll have what you need, but they'll have one flavor, right?

[SPEAKER_09]: And that's the place for the help for hardware store.

[SPEAKER_10]: to help you out to help you out to help you get it wrong.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, it's a place for the help of hardware.

[SPEAKER_10]: What man.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, I thought it was space because I thought it rhymed with place.

[SPEAKER_10]: Ace is the place where the helpful hardware man.

[SPEAKER_09]: I think it's man, I should be correct.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, it's not gonna stop store.

[SPEAKER_10]: Let the patch, I got a little, it's a sticker that goes on the wall, and it's mesh.

[SPEAKER_10]: And you put the compound on top of it.

[SPEAKER_10]: It didn't stick.

[SPEAKER_10]: So when I went to do my spaccling today, I was able to get away with it because there was enough glue, shit.

[SPEAKER_10]: inadequate glue on the back that I was able to at least get the compound over and if you can get the compound over it, you don't need the the stick.

[SPEAKER_09]: How about about how deep is this hole?

[SPEAKER_09]: This for us.

[SPEAKER_10]: Well, it's the size of a hole in drywall.

[SPEAKER_10]: How thick is drywall?

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, so it went all the way through.

[SPEAKER_09]: I thought it was just a dent.

[SPEAKER_10]: course it went all the way through what was I just saying did you listen to the show yeah I thought Mike I listened to every episode you don't you know the chair the color of the recliner but you didn't listen to the I said it was a five-inch by by three-inch and it was a whole that you could see like Andy do frame what is the main thing about Andy do frame they look through the whole because he climbed through it of course it went through it just made a dent in his

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: And what I would think they found out that Denton smashed his head and got caught by the authorities.

[SPEAKER_09]: No, I was envisioning a dent.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry, that was seeing what I wanted.

[SPEAKER_09]: No, one all the way through is horrible.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's bad.

[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, really, if I hadn't hidden it, it would have been embarrassment.

[SPEAKER_10]: And there are a lot of, I think a lot of houses have little things that if you didn't cover them up, that would be an embarrassment to them.

[SPEAKER_10]: People would see it and all that.

[SPEAKER_11]: So especially with kids.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, because kids trash a house, they always do, and then when you have a dog, a Boston Terrier, that, you know, considers the entire domicile, his fucking toilet.

[SPEAKER_10]: Is there any chance he could use the hole?

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, could he shut in the hole?

[SPEAKER_10]: No, not a chance.

[SPEAKER_10]: Let's see, jump up on the recline.

[SPEAKER_09]: You know who'd love the hole is your snake?

[SPEAKER_09]: Jake could get in the hole and live within the wall.

[SPEAKER_10]: So this patching compound that I purchased, here's the cool thing.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know if anybody's ever experienced this, but it goes on pink.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it dries what you know what I'm talking about.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, it goes on pink and dries white.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, so you know what it's dry.

[SPEAKER_10]: You know what it's ready to be.

[SPEAKER_09]: Is it the depth of brand I've used this before?

[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, no.

[SPEAKER_10]: It is not that depth.

[SPEAKER_10]: But that's a big yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: Congratulations.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, it's a very popular product.

[SPEAKER_10]: That is a very very popular product.

[SPEAKER_10]: uh... you know what there was dapp in the aisle i don't think this is the dapp did you think it's a product that was similar to dapp perhaps less costly this is great dappage uh... that's uh... the one more brand so that the dapp is still pink

[SPEAKER_10]: in the very center where the deepest part of the hole is that is still white.

[SPEAKER_10]: I did a little sanding around the outside and I said, it's coming off too easily.

[SPEAKER_10]: I got to wait till it really dries up.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, probably to put just a little time.

[SPEAKER_10]: You know how to speed that up.

[SPEAKER_10]: How do you do a hairdryer?

[SPEAKER_10]: Your hairdryer.

[SPEAKER_10]: There it is.

[SPEAKER_10]: Take the hairdryer off the hook.

[SPEAKER_10]: I'm Mr.

[SPEAKER_10]: Handy.

[SPEAKER_10]: I know all the answers.

[SPEAKER_10]: I do.

[SPEAKER_09]: But you'd have to hold a hand dryer.

[SPEAKER_09]: You know it'd be better as a fan.

[SPEAKER_09]: Put a fan of hair dryer.

[SPEAKER_09]: No hair dryer.

[SPEAKER_11]: The fan wouldn't be hot.

[SPEAKER_11]: You don't hold it much because it's the heat of the hair dryer.

[SPEAKER_09]: I think that a slow cure might be better in this case.

[SPEAKER_09]: You're making that out of your pulling that out of your ass.

[SPEAKER_09]: You don't believe that.

[SPEAKER_10]: I do for a second.

[SPEAKER_09]: I do.

[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think you don't want it to get up and seeing what comes up.

[SPEAKER_09]: That heat is what does it.

[SPEAKER_09]: No, the air flow air flow is dry.

[SPEAKER_09]: No hair dryer.

[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, you know what the problem is.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just jealous because I don't have a hair dryer because I don't need one.

[SPEAKER_10]: know a lot of times professionals will use the heat gun to dry it so then they can paint it right away and in a couple hours in hardware stores they actually have a you know a super hot version of our dry-up one you've got one of those that really heats things and it'll burn you you don't think his hair just happened to do you I think it stays on burns a few strands every time he's doing his hair you can always tell when he's bathing

[SPEAKER_10]: was the whole big amount that you had to use a screen when applying the show that is correct.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that's what I said, Jerka, I put the I put the screen mesh on top of it and I am awaiting the completion of the drying process to see whether I need to put a little more.

[SPEAKER_09]: Sparkle or or I you know wait in just Josh have you ever done the old school repair on a wall whole where you actually put like a piece of wood behind it or cardboard behind it and And the mesh and a new sheet of drywall.

[SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to yeah my times because sometimes it's too large

[SPEAKER_09]: It is too large.

[SPEAKER_09]: We had a hole in our house for years that I finally fixed.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was just cardboard.

[SPEAKER_09]: I put it behind it.

[SPEAKER_09]: I actually put it on the wall with a piece of tape on the other side.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_10]: I'm going to take a picture of the wall and I'm going to send it to Josh because it is a particular type of texture and I never knew that this would work.

[SPEAKER_11]: Florida homes are a pain because they texture the wall, they texture the seal and everything's textured.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, back.

[SPEAKER_10]: And so this is called.

[SPEAKER_10]: I found this out because there's a product that's out there that's going to make this job.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think Perfectimundo.

[SPEAKER_10]: We have the wall paint.

[SPEAKER_09]: We have a little bit of the leftover from the from the builder.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's left over from the re-paint.

[SPEAKER_10]: They did right before we moved in.

[SPEAKER_09]: Have you checked to make sure it's still liquid?

[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, no.

[SPEAKER_09]: I went to do a repair and I had the paint that the guys had left behind when they painted our house and when I opened it, there was a soda can and some fuzz food wrappers.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_09]: They had just used it for trash and then closed it.

[SPEAKER_11]: But then you can still take that can and get the match.

[SPEAKER_11]: That's what I'm going to try to do is get the match if I know to hear a wall.

[SPEAKER_11]: There it is.

[SPEAKER_11]: That is the same texture I have on my wall.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's called orange peel.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_09]: So here's the product.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, the product, the spray cam that has the texture and tell me.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know that.

[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, you haven't tried it, but I've seen that.

[SPEAKER_10]: I'll probably be trying it before you will and I'll let you know whether that works out.

[SPEAKER_10]: because that I'm going to get done with the sanding and then I will just spray that on there and hopefully everything will work out.

[SPEAKER_09]: Is there anything more Florida than a wall called orange peel?

[SPEAKER_11]: Orange peel is better than a what you guys have up north with the popcorn sealants.

[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know that I hate all my sealings are smooth.

[SPEAKER_09]: No, it's very smooth, we have no, they're a little soft, you don't want to hit them because they're smooth.

[SPEAKER_10]: Something smooth, you know, that's a radio team that was on one of the, what was this format?

[SPEAKER_10]: I think it was a modern country format, soft and smooth, you know, it would be good on that situation as Alex Miller.

[SPEAKER_10]: Alex Miller would be fantastic on that if you remember yesterday's show and congratulations if you do.

[SPEAKER_09]: So I think they don't need you gradually.

[SPEAKER_09]: They've already been rewarded.

[SPEAKER_10]: The key is to press it down after you spray it in.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't understand Jimmy, I'm really trying to think it's the, I think the, I think the orange peel spray.

[SPEAKER_11]: You spray it and then there's a thing where you flatten it because it's not going to get those big clumps of orange peel unless you flatten it.

[SPEAKER_11]: So how do you flatten?

[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_11]: I haven't looked.

[SPEAKER_11]: I've just seen the product at home.

[SPEAKER_09]: You know it might be effective is to just do the best you can with your orange peel and then put your chair in front of it again.

[SPEAKER_10]: And there they go, somebody never waits.

[SPEAKER_10]: Ted Lasso, uh, you know, coming back after a few years, uh, both Rob and Josh were giving it a full-out rave yesterday on the show.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I am here to pile on and say absolutely 100% and I want to second episode last night.

[SPEAKER_10]: I watched both episodes and I'm going to say this about the entire enterprise.

[SPEAKER_10]: It is not suspension of disbelief is required because it is a little drive and it is very broad.

[SPEAKER_10]: But at the same time, I don't know what formula they have hit on to bring out humanity and bring the kindness of the world into one little sitcom.

[SPEAKER_10]: It is so.

[SPEAKER_10]: moving to me.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a very warm fit, touching.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it is, it's just hard to describe how much we need that and how it makes me feel.

[SPEAKER_10]: I am, I get emotional almost every

[SPEAKER_10]: episode because it's just so sweet and kind and nice and they've done a great transition into a storyline to get us back to Richmond, England.

[SPEAKER_10]: I all love it.

[SPEAKER_09]: Did you believe how big his son was?

[SPEAKER_09]: I didn't even process that.

[SPEAKER_09]: I really don't agree.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't remember the sun being that far from that.

[SPEAKER_09]: He came over to England in season when he talked to him a lot, but when he got into talking to his son and talking about his father, it'd been a while since I'd been struck in it.

[SPEAKER_09]: It hits you when you don't expect it.

[SPEAKER_09]: It did make him cry.

[SPEAKER_09]: The one made him cry.

[SPEAKER_09]: The dad action really did.

[SPEAKER_10]: The one character who I have a little problem with is the assistant coach.

[SPEAKER_10]: No, the old one with with all the hair.

[SPEAKER_10]: He's in the future, the rear and the long hair.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, you haven't seen coach beard.

[SPEAKER_10]: The attorneys in episode two.

[SPEAKER_10]: Coach Beard is Harry in this episode.

[SPEAKER_09]: Why do you not like, I think, his character is so funny.

[SPEAKER_10]: But I even like him more now than I did before.

[SPEAKER_11]: Also everything about it too, we got our first new character to the show.

[SPEAKER_11]: And it's perfect cast in again.

[SPEAKER_10]: Is it the actor that we're no or not, it's flawless, it's flawless, it's a

[SPEAKER_10]: it's cliche doesn't matter.

[SPEAKER_10]: It is still just warm and fuzzy.

[SPEAKER_09]: You know, the very fact that it is so much the way it is, I think it prevents it from being cliche.

[SPEAKER_09]: Because he's not a lot that's out there like it now.

[SPEAKER_09]: It is.

[SPEAKER_10]: I want to offend here.

[SPEAKER_10]: I want to, I don't want to offend, but when you're talking cliches.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think that, you know, you talking about cliches, you are a man who probably loves cliches more than any broadcaster I've ever worked with.

[SPEAKER_10]: So it might not get to you as much as it gets to me.

[SPEAKER_09]: And why would that hurt my fear?

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't.

[SPEAKER_10]: But I also don't think cliches the right word.

[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, all right because it would be what would be the right word.

[SPEAKER_09]: It's it's it's pretty perfect I think everything out and granted a cliche is nice every now and then, but when I think cliche It's sort of like the easy route to telling a story and I don't think they take the easy route It might be jive, but I don't think it's expected in any way

[SPEAKER_10]: It's not it's very expected in my opinion and and don't get me on a road that I'm going to put down Ted last No, I love it.

[SPEAKER_10]: with sports and women and sports in particular, where everybody seems to be all to have their titty and a ringer about this men playing women sports, where it's just women who still have to struggle to get the attention that men get in sports.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I think that some women sports, a lot of women sports can be extremely compelling and soccer certainly.

[SPEAKER_10]: is at the top of that list.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think we've had a lot of great, great vibe on soccer.

[SPEAKER_10]: I like the whole thing.

[SPEAKER_11]: It just makes me feel as if they're even going to address the fact that women's sports is tough to make money in.

[SPEAKER_11]: Most shows when they come back after a long push like this, it feels like it's fan service and they're trying to get cameo's in and fall callbacks and

[SPEAKER_11]: this show manages to bring in so many old little small characters that you love but not like it feel like it's for fan service Robert my son love the show as much as anybody I think you watch the entire run tour three times he loved it and he said I dad I'm just scared it's going to be a cash grab

[SPEAKER_09]: And after one episode, and it does not feel like cash.

[SPEAKER_10]: How is he, uh, you mentioned that it was cool that he had the, uh, the black on his, uh, you know, that he's now, uh, officially, uh, a teacher.

[SPEAKER_09]: teaching assistant in his mom's classroom like how great is that out.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, he has his hands a career now.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's so waste the kid and now he's got a career.

[SPEAKER_11]: So he's in a different school from your wife.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he is.

[SPEAKER_09]: He is his uh his uh high school's closer to Ashburn.

[SPEAKER_09]: But he's going to have new TAs around him working under him.

[SPEAKER_09]: He's got to have a, you know, new principal to work with.

[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's another family's ability.

[SPEAKER_09]: Well, there's a there's a message board and they said that the news the new teacher Mr.

[SPEAKER_10]: Does he like the faezy met the faculty that he's working like everyone he's met?

[SPEAKER_09]: And he's done stuff this week like almost like pepper alleys where they get county-wide teachers in to do like big energetic power points and guest speakers and all that stuff.

[SPEAKER_09]: And he's like we just got to get through this dad.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just ready to teach.

[SPEAKER_09]: it's so cool I mean like he is going to the dollar store and buying games and activities and you know ordering stuff to set it and all the kids are going to be you can always tell if you look through the window you don't have to see Robert you just see the kids looking straight up at the tallest teacher he had to find the high school that had

[SPEAKER_09]: That's very good to be pulled out a little dartboard thing to take the pool.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'd like to remember you probably had these when maybe when Michael was little It's like a ping pong ball almost with Velcro strips on oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_09]: Well, he's got a big one of those for his classroom as because you know What's the age group going to be these are high schoolers these will be from like each 15 and I think because they're special needs They can stay until they're 20.

[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, but

[SPEAKER_09]: they have I mean he's got some that need help with motor skills he'll have some that are literally non-verbal that he'll need to communicate with and he's learned with carry that there are little activities and things that he can have them do that bring them out of their shell and and there's going to be he'll also be involved in what is known as the transition program where I believe his school actually has like

[SPEAKER_09]: a setup like an apartment where people can go in and learn how to wash clothes, how to make a bed, all the stuff that will help them function in the real world.

[SPEAKER_09]: They go on field trips to grocery stores to learn how to shop, just to help them incorporate themselves into society and not be totally dependent.

[SPEAKER_09]: And I've said it before and he'll be embarrassed if he hears this so Robert turn your podcast and machine off.

[SPEAKER_09]: Because he went through so much with his leukemia when he was a kid and dealing with other kids at camp and seeing them and all the struggles they go through He is easily the most empathetic person I've ever met.

[SPEAKER_09]: He if you hurt he feels it and if you're sad He feels it and if you're happy he feels it.

[SPEAKER_09]: He is gonna be so great for these kids He got that from carry, right?

[SPEAKER_09]: Certainly not me

[SPEAKER_09]: because I they can all go piss off.

[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care because you have a path to become Carrie's boss.

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, wouldn't that be something?

[SPEAKER_10]: Be very exciting.

[SPEAKER_09]: I can only speak to Carrie because, you know, he's a TA up until now, so he didn't have a lot of teacher interaction.

[SPEAKER_09]: It is definitely a case by case basis, and there are some parents that are less likely to be helpful in the situation, but the vast majority of them are fantastic.

[SPEAKER_10]: With domestic revenue already around $6.2 billion through August 2nd.

[SPEAKER_09]: I find that so hard to believe because the movie prices are high, high, high, high, and also everyone clamoring to see the Odyssey and IMAX tickets are $40.

[SPEAKER_10]: Well, what at my point is that the Odyssey, which I did go to the theater to see, is an anomaly for me, because I hardly ever go to the theater anymore.

[SPEAKER_11]: But if you write the prices, it's been a big year with the new Toy Story movie, the Michael Jackson movie, the Spider-Man movie.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yep, you're right.

[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, so it's up 15% from last year, but fewer people are actually buying tickets.

[SPEAKER_10]: The money is being driven by bigger blockbusters.

[SPEAKER_10]: We just said premium formats, higher ticket prices as Rob mentioned.

[SPEAKER_10]: In other words, Hollywood has figured out how to make more money from people while convincing them to go to the movies less often.

[SPEAKER_10]: They figured it out.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's pretty good.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's something you're watching at home a lot sooner and every movie gets a podcast.

[SPEAKER_10]: So what it is folks is the restaurant model, which means good luck when there's the time you want to head out to see the cinema because you're going to play out the ass for it and you're going to get less quality for more money speaking of which Mike did you I don't you I know you didn't see it in the theater have you stream the movie Michael yet the Michael Jackson movie

[SPEAKER_10]: I haven't had the pleasure.

[SPEAKER_09]: I saw it in the theater and I just rewatched it on streaming and it is a perfect background movie because while it was great in the theater at home, you can look in on the musical stuff.

[SPEAKER_09]: But when his head catches on fire in this movie, spoiler alert, when he's doing commercial, it is so horrifying that I really had to look away.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just curious if it will affect you the same way when you see it.
