<v Speaker 1>One week out from their title match in Toronto, which
<v Speaker 1>is coming up on SmackDown next Friday. We got a
<v Speaker 1>face to face between CM Punk and Kevin Owens, and
<v Speaker 1>it was better than the one that we had between
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk and Cody Rhodes leading into Summer Slim. You know,
<v Speaker 1>I remember talking about that here in the SmackDown review
<v Speaker 1>and how I was looking forward to that first face
<v Speaker 1>to face with Cody and Punk, and I was just
<v Speaker 1>very disappointed. It was very flat. We didn't have that
<v Speaker 1>issue tonight with punkin Ko. That was one of the
<v Speaker 1>highlights of the show. The main event was supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be Cody Roads one on one against Sammy z Ain.
<v Speaker 1>That did not happen when Randy Orton got involved and
<v Speaker 1>then they proceeded to run back virtually the same exact
<v Speaker 1>angle they did on the Road to WrestleMania this year,
<v Speaker 1>just with a little bit of a twist on it.
<v Speaker 1>So we had a little bit of a chaotic ending
<v Speaker 1>there to end the show. Nothing terribly original. When they
<v Speaker 1>went off the air tonight, Chelsea Green, she is the
<v Speaker 1>WWE Women's Champion. No mention of the word interim last week.
<v Speaker 1>No mention of the word interim tonight, so I think
<v Speaker 1>we can officially call her the Women's Champion. The question
<v Speaker 1>is would we be able to still call her that
<v Speaker 1>by the time we got to smack Down tonight because
<v Speaker 1>she suffered an injury last week and there was a
<v Speaker 1>lot of question about the severity of it. Were they
<v Speaker 1>going to strip her of the belt or are they
<v Speaker 1>going to keep the belt on her? We got our
<v Speaker 1>answer tonight and the storyline that they did what they
<v Speaker 1>did at the beginning of the show. I really really
<v Speaker 1>liked one of the highlights of the of the night tonight.
<v Speaker 1>So she is still the Women's Champion for now. That's
<v Speaker 1>the little asterisk next to it for now. And we
<v Speaker 1>had not one, but two title changes on this show.
<v Speaker 1>He actually had three title matches on this show. Both
<v Speaker 1>United States Championships were defended, and the WWE Tag Team
<v Speaker 1>titles were on the line as well. Two of those
<v Speaker 1>three championships changed hands. We have a brand new Women's
<v Speaker 1>United States Champion and we have brand new tag team champions,
<v Speaker 1>which should not be a surprise to anybody. Once you
<v Speaker 1>saw Haku brought in as the manager for the MFTs,
<v Speaker 1>that should have told you right there that the belts
<v Speaker 1>were coming home to the MFTs and it only took
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks. But that's exactly what happened here on
<v Speaker 1>this show. I will say I enjoyed the episode tonight
<v Speaker 1>more than the average SmackDown, even though we got very
<v Speaker 1>little in the way of actual good wrestling on this show.
<v Speaker 1>That was the big thing that was missing. Corbin and Mellow.
<v Speaker 1>They had a US title match that would be the
<v Speaker 1>de facto best match on the show, and even that
<v Speaker 1>wasn't anything terribly special. So we did get we didn't
<v Speaker 1>get any special matches on this show, but again it
<v Speaker 1>was newsworthy in that we had a couple of title changes,
<v Speaker 1>we had a couple of other things going on that
<v Speaker 1>I enjoyed, and so between the opening segment and the
<v Speaker 1>Ko and punk stuff, by and large, I enjoyed this.
<v Speaker 1>Like I said, better than your average episode of SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>We're not going to declare that SmackDown has turned things around.
<v Speaker 1>This is not the beginning of a trend. We need
<v Speaker 1>this to happen a few more times. But better than
<v Speaker 1>the average fair that we get on Friday nights, let's
<v Speaker 1>talk about it. This is your SmackDown review. It is
<v Speaker 1>Friday night, August fourteen, twenty twenty six. I am the
<v Speaker 1>solid Monster. Thank you for being with me tonight, closing
<v Speaker 1>out your week with yours. Truly, do me a favor.
<v Speaker 1>Hit that subscribe button, hit that like button. Superchats are open.
<v Speaker 1>I know we've had a whole bunch that have come
<v Speaker 1>in so far. I will be reading your messages here
<v Speaker 1>in just a little bit. Take the wheel for a spin,
<v Speaker 1>see if we can possibly perhaps do our be the
<v Speaker 1>booker segment a little bit later on here in the stream.
<v Speaker 1>We got a bonus goal going as well. If you
<v Speaker 1>want to drop a super chat, it'll go towards that.
<v Speaker 1>But let's spin the wheel now and see what we
<v Speaker 1>land on. We landed on five point fifteen, so five
<v Speaker 1>hundred and fifteen likes. That is the goal. So say
<v Speaker 1>the wheel. If we hit that, we are guaranteed to
<v Speaker 1>do B to B a little bit later on here
<v Speaker 1>in the stream. Get those thumbs ready, Yeah, spin the bottle,
<v Speaker 1>says Venom Caitets. The bottle has landed, So five point
<v Speaker 1>fifteen is the goal. Let's get into this here, because
<v Speaker 1>this right here was what ended up being, honestly, you
<v Speaker 1>know what, this probably was the best set on the show.
<v Speaker 1>He was certainly one of the top two. But we
<v Speaker 1>opened the show tonight. Nick Alldis, the SmackDown General manager,
<v Speaker 1>was already standing in the ring, and he was in
<v Speaker 1>the ring to address the women's championship situation. Now, for
<v Speaker 1>those of you who do not know, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why you wouldn't know, because you were probably watching
<v Speaker 1>the show last week. If you didn't watch the show,
<v Speaker 1>then you were probably listening to the sound off, And
<v Speaker 1>if you didn't do any of those things, then shame
<v Speaker 1>on you. Last week, Chelsea Green had her championship celebration,
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany Stratton came out, Fatal Influence came out. This all
<v Speaker 1>led to a tag team match. It was Chelsea and
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany against Fatal Influence. In the course of that match,
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea got hurt. She had her orbital bone broken. Now
<v Speaker 1>I believe it happened on the finish when Lany Reid
<v Speaker 1>and Fallon Henley delivered their fatal Flaw finish. Because it
<v Speaker 1>looked very wonky and very dangerous. They credited jac Jane
<v Speaker 1>with the injury because right before that she from the
<v Speaker 1>floor outside she delivered the rolling encore. Going back and
<v Speaker 1>watching it, I don't think that's where it happened. I
<v Speaker 1>think they're just trying to give her credit for it.
<v Speaker 1>But it doesn't matter. She was hurt. It was a
<v Speaker 1>legitimate injury, and it sucks because I mean, it always
<v Speaker 1>sucks to get hurt. But if you're Chelsea Green and
<v Speaker 1>you just had the biggest moment of your career, you
<v Speaker 1>won this big ladder match at Summer Slam that wasn't
<v Speaker 1>even supposed to happen. It only happened because the champion
<v Speaker 1>was hurt, she was entered into the match, she got
<v Speaker 1>to pull down the championship. Chelsea Green is the women's
<v Speaker 1>champion for the first time in her career, and then
<v Speaker 1>her very first show coming out of Summer Slim, not
<v Speaker 1>even one week later, she gets her face broken. And
<v Speaker 1>it's like she said in her promo tonight, and I
<v Speaker 1>think she said it in the social media video that
<v Speaker 1>she put out earlier in the week. If she didn't
<v Speaker 1>have bad luck, she wouldn't have any luck at all.
<v Speaker 1>It's just one thing after another. So here we are now,
<v Speaker 1>nick All, this has a decision to make. Is he
<v Speaker 1>going to strip her of the championship. Wouldn't make a
<v Speaker 1>whole lot of sense if she did need surgery, because,
<v Speaker 1>as we've seen with other champions, if the champion is
<v Speaker 1>not going to be able to defend her title for
<v Speaker 1>a relatively short period of time, then that shouldn't be
<v Speaker 1>an impedance to her holding on to the title. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>he's in the ring and he said, after speaking to
<v Speaker 1>WWE medical Chelsea Green, would you please come on down
<v Speaker 1>to the ring, and he introduced the Women's champion who
<v Speaker 1>came out with a black eye. All this told her
<v Speaker 1>that he knows how hard she's worked and how much
<v Speaker 1>that moment meant to her at SummerSlam, but he cannot
<v Speaker 1>in good conscience allow her to compete with a broken
<v Speaker 1>eye socket. To Chelsea, before he could actually make any
<v Speaker 1>sort of proclamation here, she said, look, I'm begging you,
<v Speaker 1>don't do what I think you're about to do. Right
<v Speaker 1>she's trying to talk him out of it. He hasn't
<v Speaker 1>even announced it yet, but she could see where this
<v Speaker 1>is going, and all this says, this is the part
<v Speaker 1>of the job that I hate the most, but I
<v Speaker 1>need you to relinquish your WWE Women's championship. And the
<v Speaker 1>crowd booed, now, I should point out in coming out
<v Speaker 1>to the ring, and as we got a little bit
<v Speaker 1>deeper into this promo. Here, these people were going nuts
<v Speaker 1>for Chelsea Green. They were loud for her, honestly louder
<v Speaker 1>than almost anything else on the show, because this crowd
<v Speaker 1>in Boston tonight was actually pretty tame and pretty quiet
<v Speaker 1>during some of the other segments on this show, but
<v Speaker 1>they were allowed for Chelsea. They were chanting her name,
<v Speaker 1>they were chanting you deserve it. And so Chelsea at
<v Speaker 1>this point says, I knew it was too good to
<v Speaker 1>be true. She was just waiting for the other's shoe
<v Speaker 1>to drop, because every accomplishment in her career has been
<v Speaker 1>followed by some sort of tragedy. She talked about all
<v Speaker 1>the obstacles and embarrassing moments that she's had to overcome
<v Speaker 1>over the years in WWE, from throwing herself into dumpsters
<v Speaker 1>and breaking bones and having pies put in her face
<v Speaker 1>and all kinds of stuff, and every night she went
<v Speaker 1>to bed, she knew that it was worth it for
<v Speaker 1>the moment of one day becoming the WWE Women's Champion,
<v Speaker 1>and she made it and the crowd cheers, and she
<v Speaker 1>compared her situation to all this is at Summer Slim
<v Speaker 1>and how they both had, you know, proven that it
<v Speaker 1>didn't matter what they thought of them. What mattered was
<v Speaker 1>what we think of ourselves. She said, As far as
<v Speaker 1>she's concerned, the title is hers until someone takes it
<v Speaker 1>from her. So she said that Nick, you were a champion,
<v Speaker 1>your wife was a champion, and you got to share
<v Speaker 1>that beautiful moment in the ring together at Summer sleeven.
<v Speaker 1>If anybody could understand what she was going through, it
<v Speaker 1>was Nick all this, but he had already made the
<v Speaker 1>announcement of what he wanted. She took the belt off
<v Speaker 1>from around her waist. She handed the championship over to him.
<v Speaker 1>The people booed. All this sees her. Halfway down the aisle,
<v Speaker 1>he says, Chelsea. Wait, he said, as the general manager,
<v Speaker 1>I believe I'm doing the right thing, but as a man,
<v Speaker 1>I don't give a damn what medical thinks. It says.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna give you thirty days to do what you
<v Speaker 1>need to do to get yourself cleared. Go get a mask,
<v Speaker 1>do whatever you need to do. But until such time
<v Speaker 1>you will be you will remain the WWE Women's Champion.
<v Speaker 1>If she took back the championship and everybody cheered, everybody
<v Speaker 1>was all happy. Then we hear Now, of all the
<v Speaker 1>music I would have been expecting to hear at this moment,
<v Speaker 1>the music I was not expecting was Gunther's. So Gunther
<v Speaker 1>comes down to the ring. So now we have Nick
<v Speaker 1>all this, we have Gunther, and we have Chelsea Green
<v Speaker 1>all in the ring together. It tells all this, Nick,
<v Speaker 1>it's time that we get some more important business that
<v Speaker 1>people actually care about. And he demanded that all this
<v Speaker 1>tell him, why did you insert Kevin Owens into my
<v Speaker 1>match at Summerslim? And all this told him, first of
<v Speaker 1>all conducting other business here, But you have it all wrong.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't insert you, or rather I didn't insert Kevin
<v Speaker 1>Owens into your match. I inserted you into Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>match because the negotiations with Owens and you know, for
<v Speaker 1>his return that was going on for months leading up
<v Speaker 1>to SummerSlam. And he goes, not my fault that you
<v Speaker 1>didn't get the job done. So Chelsea piped up, she
<v Speaker 1>said I was a good one, and Gunher told Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>to shut up. She asked, oh, did I hurt your fragile,
<v Speaker 1>little male ego, because that's all you have left is
<v Speaker 1>I look around this ring. The only person with a championship.
<v Speaker 1>The only person who is a champion in this ring
<v Speaker 1>right now is me. So Gunther got up at her face.
<v Speaker 1>This prompted Matt Cardona to run down. He got into
<v Speaker 1>the ring to come to his wife's defense, and Gunther
<v Speaker 1>is just looking at him. And Gunther is laughing, and
<v Speaker 1>he said, look at that all the way from catering
<v Speaker 1>to the rescue and the crab may not have reacted
<v Speaker 1>to much tonight, but they did laugh at that line.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, Let's be honest, what are you gonna do
<v Speaker 1>to me? Said, I could call your girl every slur
<v Speaker 1>in the world right in front of you, and there
<v Speaker 1>is nothing that you could do to me. And Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>is trying to back her man down and saying it's
<v Speaker 1>not worth it. Just leave, get out of here. And
<v Speaker 1>that prompted Gunther as it looked like they were leaving,
<v Speaker 1>and Chelsea got out of the ring first. It prompted
<v Speaker 1>Gunther to say, every good dog listens to its owner.
<v Speaker 1>So Cardona turned around that that was a line that
<v Speaker 1>you know you don't cross, and so he attacked gun
<v Speaker 1>there he knocked him down. Gunther rolled out to the floor.
<v Speaker 1>I thought that this was a great opening segment. This
<v Speaker 1>was very different from your typical opening here on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>It just sucks that it came about due to an injury.
<v Speaker 1>But in the segment, they turned Chelsea Green into the
<v Speaker 1>biggest babyface in that division, one of the biggest baby
<v Speaker 1>faces on the entire show. Like I said, the crowd
<v Speaker 1>in Boston, they were behind her one hundred percent. And
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's got to be music to your ears
<v Speaker 1>if you're Chelsea Green, because that fan response, right is
<v Speaker 1>exactly what she needs. That's exactly what if you're Chelsea Green.
<v Speaker 1>That's exactly what you want the people in the back
<v Speaker 1>to hear, like, hey see, they believe they've bought into it.
<v Speaker 1>They're behind me. You've got to keep that rolling. You've
<v Speaker 1>got to take advantage of that. You just stick with
<v Speaker 1>me here, right, That's what she's got to be thinking
<v Speaker 1>right now. So it was just the perfect time for
<v Speaker 1>her to get that kind of reaction, and it shows them,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you would hope in their mind that you know,
<v Speaker 1>she could succeed in that role. Is the top baby
<v Speaker 1>face at least until Riha comes back. But Rihea is
<v Speaker 1>not going to be around for months. The top babyface
<v Speaker 1>in that Women's Division, And I would also say that
<v Speaker 1>it clearly is a good sign that they are giving
<v Speaker 1>her thirty days to get cleared. At least that's the storyline,
<v Speaker 1>because if she was going to need surgery and it
<v Speaker 1>was more serious than we were led to believe, they
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't be doing this angle like him taking the championship
<v Speaker 1>from her. That would have been a real thing and
<v Speaker 1>that would have been the end of her run. So
<v Speaker 1>I take it as a positive sign that they didn't
<v Speaker 1>get any sort of negative progress report. Maybe they legitimately
<v Speaker 1>are just going to monitor her injury for a few
<v Speaker 1>weeks and then make a determination at that point, but
<v Speaker 1>that's not how this came across. Yeah, the entire way
<v Speaker 1>they did this angle, it struck me as Okay, we
<v Speaker 1>got a sense of how long she'll be out for.
<v Speaker 1>We don't have to take the belt off her, So
<v Speaker 1>let's come up with this story. We'll give her thirty days.
<v Speaker 1>We'll build drama right into the countdown. Every single week
<v Speaker 1>that goes by. Is Chelsea going to be able to
<v Speaker 1>get cleared in time? And then she will, She'll wear
<v Speaker 1>a mask and everything should be okay. That's the sense
<v Speaker 1>that I got from it. But again, there's no reason
<v Speaker 1>to take the title off of her unless she needs surgery.
<v Speaker 1>If she needs surgery, she's going to be out for
<v Speaker 1>an extended period of time, and in that case, there's
<v Speaker 1>not a whole lot you can do. Otherwise, there is
<v Speaker 1>zero reason to take that championship off of her, especially
<v Speaker 1>when they didn't do that for Rheo Ripley. Now, of course,
<v Speaker 1>the fact that they're even putting a thirty day countdown
<v Speaker 1>clock on her or any sort of deadline like a
<v Speaker 1>thirty day deadline on her in storyline is completely preposterous.
<v Speaker 1>Given the fact that we have had not won but
<v Speaker 1>two women's champions in recent months, really going back to
<v Speaker 1>the end of last year, the beginning of this year,
<v Speaker 1>and then more recently with liv Morgan, we've had two
<v Speaker 1>different women's champions on two different shows that have gone
<v Speaker 1>in excess of one hundred days without a single title defense.
<v Speaker 1>So like the fact that what you got to get
<v Speaker 1>cleared in thirty days, not thirty one days, not sixty days.
<v Speaker 1>You got to get cleared in thirty or else I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to have no choice but to take the belt
<v Speaker 1>off of you. Right bullshit. The whole thing is complete bullshit.
<v Speaker 1>But then again, there's a lot of bullshit that happens
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't make any sense on these shows, so why
<v Speaker 1>should this be any different. Gunther I thought was just
<v Speaker 1>a tremendous douchebag here in this segment. I wish he
<v Speaker 1>had a clearer direction. I mean, I guess he kind
<v Speaker 1>of does based on what they did with him later
<v Speaker 1>in the show. But I thought he played his part
<v Speaker 1>perfectly here in this segment. As far as Cardona goes,
<v Speaker 1>it led to exactly what you would imagine it would
<v Speaker 1>because after a commercial break it was Gunther one on
<v Speaker 1>one in an impromptu match against Matt Cardona. Both men
<v Speaker 1>competed here in street clothes. Gunther he power hold on
<v Speaker 1>a second so Ben says, just announced Blake versus Julia?
<v Speaker 1>Did they announce it? I didn't hear them mentioned at
<v Speaker 1>all on this show, come to think of it, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>there was nothing with Blake Monroe on this show at all,
<v Speaker 1>no vignette, nothing backstage. So Gunther again, they're wrestling in
<v Speaker 1>street clothes here in this match. Gunther wrestling in street
<v Speaker 1>clothes is very weird. He power bombed Cardona onto the
<v Speaker 1>announced desk outside, then onto the apron Gunher was ready
<v Speaker 1>to take the count out when cardonas slid back in
<v Speaker 1>just in time. Gunher dropped him with a Larry and
<v Speaker 1>then he's mocking Chelsea because Chelsea is out there in
<v Speaker 1>her husband's corner. He's looking out at her. Look at
<v Speaker 1>your husband. He's mocking her. He delivered a back saido
<v Speaker 1>suplex dropped Cardona right on the back of his head.
<v Speaker 1>He again mocked Chelsea. This time she got up on
<v Speaker 1>the apron and behind the referees back Cardona. As Gunther
<v Speaker 1>turns around, Cardona kicks him right in the dick and
<v Speaker 1>then he hits a rough rider and everybody in the
<v Speaker 1>crowd is buying into the possibility that this could be
<v Speaker 1>the end here, and so he drops him with a
<v Speaker 1>rough rider and he covers him only gets a close
<v Speaker 1>near fall out of it. Cardona. He goes for another one,
<v Speaker 1>but Gunther catches him into a power bomb position. He
<v Speaker 1>slams him, picks him up, hits another power bomb, and
<v Speaker 1>then he transitions into a Boston crab and immediately, I
<v Speaker 1>mean he didn't waste any time at all. Immediately Cardona
<v Speaker 1>begins to tap out, and that is it. A Boston
<v Speaker 1>crab in Boston. The perfect finish here for this match.
<v Speaker 1>After the match Nia Jackson the Lash Legend, they come out,
<v Speaker 1>Nya called Chelsea pathetic for being injured after winning the championship.
<v Speaker 1>She said those thirty days were ticking down and she
<v Speaker 1>wanted a shot at the women's title. So they were
<v Speaker 1>both threatening Chelsea. They were inching closer to her. Here
<v Speaker 1>comes Tiffany Stratton out for the save, but they ended
<v Speaker 1>up putting Tiffany down and they hurt her. This is
<v Speaker 1>right before Tiffany's title defense later in the show against
<v Speaker 1>jac Jane, and she had her ribs all busted up here.
<v Speaker 1>All Chelsea did, all she could do was just stand there.
<v Speaker 1>She's in the ring, standing there. She can't do anything
<v Speaker 1>because she's not cleared, and she's begging for someone to
<v Speaker 1>come out and help put a stop to this. So
<v Speaker 1>at this point, I'm watching this and I'm thinking before
<v Speaker 1>and this is before what even happened later in the show.
<v Speaker 1>I'm watching this and I'm thinking if that leads to
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany losing her title later, which it sure felt like
<v Speaker 1>that's where we were headed after this. Once Chelsea is
<v Speaker 1>cleared to Wressell in thirty or whatever it is, it
<v Speaker 1>would be the perfect setup for Tiffany to turn heel
<v Speaker 1>on Chelsea and then challenge to take her championship away
<v Speaker 1>from her, because that's what she should be anyway, is
<v Speaker 1>a heel, and now she has the perfect story to
<v Speaker 1>set it up. Works out perfectly. Trade the US title
<v Speaker 1>to go after the bigger belt. Now you have a
<v Speaker 1>real reason for doing so, right, She could put all
<v Speaker 1>the blame on Chelsea. This is all your fault. You
<v Speaker 1>wanted to be friends with me, You got me to
<v Speaker 1>care about you, and then me trying to be the
<v Speaker 1>nice friend that I am. I end up losing my championship.
<v Speaker 1>I want yours right. Story sells itself. They showed footage
<v Speaker 1>of Alexa Bliss and Tatum Pasley showing up at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the main event last week between Charlotte Flair
<v Speaker 1>and Jade Cargill. This was Tatum's debut. She is now
<v Speaker 1>officially aligned with Charlotte and Alexa. So we come back
<v Speaker 1>live and Charlotte's in the back with Alexa there walking
<v Speaker 1>down the hallway and Charlotte is thanking her for the
<v Speaker 1>save last week, and alexis as well, don't thank me,
<v Speaker 1>that was all Tatum, and she thanks Charlotte, you know,
<v Speaker 1>for you know, being nice to her. Flare said, look,
<v Speaker 1>that was a one time thing, her being nice to Tatum,
<v Speaker 1>I guess, and Bliss said, well, Tatum has a surprise
<v Speaker 1>for you, really for the both of them. She opens
<v Speaker 1>the door to what looks like the broom closet and
<v Speaker 1>Tatum Paxley is in this very small again closet and
<v Speaker 1>it's made out to look like a shrine where they
<v Speaker 1>have photos of Charlotte, I think Charlotte and Alexa on
<v Speaker 1>the walls. And so they both go into the room
<v Speaker 1>with her. The door closes behind them. I don't know why.
<v Speaker 1>And that was the segment. They both looked very creeped
<v Speaker 1>out by Tatum Pasley. So she's going to be their
<v Speaker 1>weird little friend, I guess. Going forward, we got a
<v Speaker 1>recap of last week promo. Really, that's really all it
<v Speaker 1>was with Cody Roads and Randy Orton. This was the
<v Speaker 1>promo where Cody said to him, I no longer constrained
<v Speaker 1>by the standards of the Championship. I no longer have
<v Speaker 1>to be the good guy. So after that we see
<v Speaker 1>Live in the back Cody walks up to Nick Aldus
<v Speaker 1>and he wants him to book him a match against
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton, and all just said, you know, we have
<v Speaker 1>this event coming up at the beginning of next month.
<v Speaker 1>It's the Sunday before Labor Day, a little event called
<v Speaker 1>Sunday Night's Main Event, which just so happens to be
<v Speaker 1>in Atlanta, GA, which he knows is a very special
<v Speaker 1>place to Cody. Cody's a Georgia guy, and so he
<v Speaker 1>can make the match for that show. And Cody, really,
<v Speaker 1>all Cody is interested in is just getting the match.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't matter to him when it is. Sammy's ain
<v Speaker 1>shows up and he bitches about Cody being the Golden
<v Speaker 1>Boy and getting whatever he wanted. I had to earn
<v Speaker 1>my title shot in a four way match, and yet
<v Speaker 1>Cody just has to say when. So Cody said, look,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not going to have any of this shit. I
<v Speaker 1>told you, I don't owe you anything. He's going off
<v Speaker 1>on Sammy, He's getting all animated and he challenges him
<v Speaker 1>to do something about it, and Sammy said, well I
<v Speaker 1>did what nobody else has been able to do. He says,
<v Speaker 1>I pined you clean in the middle of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and this led to a match being made because Cody said, well,
<v Speaker 1>you want to do something about it. Why don't we
<v Speaker 1>do it tonight. Sammy was like, I can't. I'm hurt,
<v Speaker 1>and he showed he had the brace on for his
<v Speaker 1>carpal tunnels. He had the brace on his hand, on
<v Speaker 1>his wrist and all this says, well, you can't or
<v Speaker 1>you won't. He goes, I'll tell you what I'll do.
<v Speaker 1>I'll sweeten the pot a little bit. You take this
<v Speaker 1>match tonight, you beat Cody Rhodes, you get the winner
<v Speaker 1>of the match next week between CM Punk and Kevin Owens,
<v Speaker 1>and you get yourself a WWE championship match. So he
<v Speaker 1>was willing to give that to sam Bey, zaying if
<v Speaker 1>he would accept the main event tonight, which he did,
<v Speaker 1>and so the main event was made official for later
<v Speaker 1>in the show. After this, we had our first of
<v Speaker 1>three championship matches of the night. We had our first
<v Speaker 1>of two US title matches. It was Baron Corbin defending
<v Speaker 1>the United States Championship against the former champion, Carmelo Hayes.
<v Speaker 1>The crowd may have been quiet for a lot on
<v Speaker 1>this show, they were loud though. For Mellow, they gave
<v Speaker 1>him a nice hometown welcome he's from the area. Unfortunately,
<v Speaker 1>they could not be bothered to give a shit about
<v Speaker 1>Corbin when he came out, he rode out on stage
<v Speaker 1>again on his motorcycle like the American bald ass. So
<v Speaker 1>the US title unfortunately still has the white fur on
<v Speaker 1>the edges. And if that isn't a sign that they're
<v Speaker 1>just going to put the belt back on trick very soon,
<v Speaker 1>then I don't know what is the law. Like every
<v Speaker 1>week that goes by, and he's now beaten trick twice
<v Speaker 1>every week that goes by, that he does not shave
<v Speaker 1>that shit off, or they don't send him out there
<v Speaker 1>with the old UA title without the white fur. It
<v Speaker 1>just is a dead giveaway that the belt is going
<v Speaker 1>back to trick in the next few weeks. So unfortunately
<v Speaker 1>it is still furry. Hayes connected on a frog splash
<v Speaker 1>about midway through the match. Corbyn, though kicked out first
<v Speaker 1>forty eight, got countered with a Corbyn big boot, and
<v Speaker 1>Corbyn then dropped him with a great looking deep six,
<v Speaker 1>only for a near fall. Hayes recovered. He hit back
<v Speaker 1>to back first forty eights. He tried for nothing but
<v Speaker 1>net off the top, but Corbin shoved him off the
<v Speaker 1>top rope and the idea was. I believe that he
<v Speaker 1>was going to go head first into the barricade. He
<v Speaker 1>was going to collide face first into the barricade, but
<v Speaker 1>he fell just short, so it didn't come off as
<v Speaker 1>quite quite as devastating, I think as they intended for
<v Speaker 1>it to be all the same though, he ends up
<v Speaker 1>back in the ring. Corbyn hits the end of Days,
<v Speaker 1>which is still one of the most protected moves in wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>and I was pretty confident that we weren't getting a
<v Speaker 1>kick out here, and we didn't. And so actually my
<v Speaker 1>belief is that they're probably gonna have Trick Williams kick
<v Speaker 1>out of it. I don't think they're going to be
<v Speaker 1>as protective over this move going forward as they have
<v Speaker 1>been for all these other years. I think they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>give it to Trick to kick out of. But Carmelo
<v Speaker 1>was not as lucky, and so Hayes got pinned, sucked
<v Speaker 1>the air right out of the crowd with that three count.
<v Speaker 1>After the match, Trick appeared on stage. He has his
<v Speaker 1>rotating platform, so he basically got like a full entrance
<v Speaker 1>here and he's rotating around and Corbin is distracted. He's
<v Speaker 1>watching this from the ring. Meanwhile, he doesn't realize that
<v Speaker 1>behind him it's the return of Lily Yati and he's
<v Speaker 1>got his trick stick and he strikes Corbyn in the
<v Speaker 1>back with it, which is more of an annoyance than
<v Speaker 1>anything else, and Corbyn turns around and he goes to
<v Speaker 1>hit him again, and Corbyn takes the stick away from
<v Speaker 1>him and in comes Trick Williams from behind. He takes
<v Speaker 1>a swing at Trick Trick Ducks, it comes off the
<v Speaker 1>ropes and he drops Corbyn with a trick shot knee.
<v Speaker 1>Corbyn rolls out to the floor. So they're setting up
<v Speaker 1>for one more match. Even though he lost two of
<v Speaker 1>them already, he did get hit in the head both
<v Speaker 1>times with the belt, so you would think this third
<v Speaker 1>match has to have some sort of stipulation to it,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe Sunday Night's main event. I don't think we
<v Speaker 1>have another plee until money in the Bank. Money in
<v Speaker 1>the Bank is not until October tenth, so unless they're
<v Speaker 1>adding Wrestle Palooza at the last minute, it's looking increasingly
<v Speaker 1>like there will a be no Wrestle Palooza, and there
<v Speaker 1>may not be a Crown Jewel because we've heard nothing
<v Speaker 1>about Crown Jewel either, so My guess is they probably
<v Speaker 1>saved the match for Atlanta and Sunday Night's main event,
<v Speaker 1>and they switched the belt back to Trick Williams. On
<v Speaker 1>that show, Carmelo Hayes, boy, he came across like such
<v Speaker 1>an afterthought here at the end, And I really hope
<v Speaker 1>that once the belt goes back to Trick we can
<v Speaker 1>kind of get back to the Trick and mellow stuff,
<v Speaker 1>because if not, that's a terrible sign for Carmelo Hayes.
<v Speaker 1>That's my only hope for him. He's not gonna have
<v Speaker 1>anything to do with the world title picture unless it's
<v Speaker 1>like a one off match on TV with Cmpunk. You
<v Speaker 1>have Cmpunk wants to be the defending champion and he'll
<v Speaker 1>defend every now and then against some rando from the roster.
<v Speaker 1>I could see that, But in terms of an actual program,
<v Speaker 1>something consistent a story on this show, the best thing
<v Speaker 1>that Melo could hope for is that the belt changes
<v Speaker 1>back to Trick and then he can kind of resume
<v Speaker 1>things with him because he got beat clean by Corbyn here.
<v Speaker 1>There was no belt shot to the head here. They
<v Speaker 1>protected Trick to that extent in the first two matches
<v Speaker 1>where Corbyn had to cheat to win. Corbyn didn't cheat
<v Speaker 1>to win here, he shoved him off the top rope.
<v Speaker 1>So what he beat the guy clean? Not good? Not
<v Speaker 1>a good sign. In the back, Chelsea Green was talking
<v Speaker 1>to Tiffany Stratton, who was all banged up after what
<v Speaker 1>happened earlier in the show, and she said that she
<v Speaker 1>can still compete tonight, so she's still going out there
<v Speaker 1>to defend her championship against JC Jane. Send that man
<v Speaker 1>to Raw. Well, if he's not going to wrestle Trick
<v Speaker 1>for the US title coming out of this, then I agree,
<v Speaker 1>do a little switcherou send him to Raw. Maybe there's
<v Speaker 1>somebody that can move over to SmackDown somewhere in the
<v Speaker 1>mid card. Do like an even trade between the two gms.
<v Speaker 1>Next up was the face to face in the ring
<v Speaker 1>between the WWE champion CM Punk and perhaps the future
<v Speaker 1>WWE champion, although it feels increasingly unlikely next week, Kevin Owens.
<v Speaker 1>They're big matches coming up in Toronto next Friday, so
<v Speaker 1>this is it the final interaction between the two of
<v Speaker 1>them before the big title match. So Punk was in
<v Speaker 1>one corner, Owens was sitting on top of the turnbuckle
<v Speaker 1>in the opposite corner, and Punk said, look, you're not
<v Speaker 1>a coward. You were about to say something. So because
<v Speaker 1>Owen's had come out first and it looked like he
<v Speaker 1>was about to speak, Punk's music cut him off, and
<v Speaker 1>then he came out, so that's what he's referring to.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, looks like you were about to say something,
<v Speaker 1>so say it to everybody here in Boston. And then
<v Speaker 1>Punk again interceded and did his it's great to be alive,
<v Speaker 1>and you know whatever, whatever his line is. Owen said,
<v Speaker 1>it was ironic that Punk was coming out here talking
<v Speaker 1>about saying things to his face when last week they
<v Speaker 1>were about a foot away from each other, and yet
<v Speaker 1>Punk chose to be all the way down there, all
<v Speaker 1>the way down the aisle with his back turn to
<v Speaker 1>call Kevin what a fat slob said. Of course the
<v Speaker 1>camera caught it. It wasn't quite the language that he used,
<v Speaker 1>but that was the gist of it. Punk said, you
<v Speaker 1>don't think I would say this to your face. Owen said, no, no,
<v Speaker 1>I know you would. But our story actually begins twenty
<v Speaker 1>years ago. I say, here we go, here it comes.
<v Speaker 1>Punk said, you want to educate the fans as to
<v Speaker 1>why Kevin Owens doesn't like CM, Punk go right ahead,
<v Speaker 1>and so ko did. Owen said, twenty years ago, he
<v Speaker 1>and Phil wrestled for the same independent promotion, and Punk
<v Speaker 1>was the big top guy. He was just someone. He
<v Speaker 1>being Owens, he was just someone who was trying to
<v Speaker 1>make a name for himself. And on that night, Punk,
<v Speaker 1>all the ways that he could have decided for things
<v Speaker 1>to go, he chose to be rate Owens and insult
<v Speaker 1>him in front of a whole locker room full of
<v Speaker 1>his peers. Punk said, twenty years you've been holding onto
<v Speaker 1>this twenty years. Owens said, well, I don't like you
<v Speaker 1>for a lot of reasons, but it's also the person
<v Speaker 1>that you've been, the things that you've said, the way
<v Speaker 1>that you've treated people that I care about, good friends
<v Speaker 1>of mine, And Punk said, which friends. I'm gonna need
<v Speaker 1>you to be a little more specific. He's pretty sure
<v Speaker 1>Kevin's friends hate him, Owen said, Punk may think he's
<v Speaker 1>only talking about three of them, but every friend that
<v Speaker 1>I've had in this industry hates you. And Punk said,
<v Speaker 1>being hated by losers is the price that he pays
<v Speaker 1>for not being one of them. Owen said, that's another
<v Speaker 1>perfect example of why I despise you. He sees it
<v Speaker 1>back there, locker room full of people that look up
<v Speaker 1>to Punk, and why he said Punk came back here
<v Speaker 1>and made amends. There's one guy left that still doesn't
<v Speaker 1>like him, and that's Kevin Owens, and he'll never like
<v Speaker 1>him because everything that he says Punk that is, everything
<v Speaker 1>Punk says is performative. And then he walked up to
<v Speaker 1>Punk and he yelled for him, look at me when
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking to you. He got real close at his face, goes,
<v Speaker 1>Punk is a phony. The only reason that he came
<v Speaker 1>back and made everything right is because he had no choice,
<v Speaker 1>because the kind of person he is led to him
<v Speaker 1>screwing things up everywhere else he went. Punk had no
<v Speaker 1>choice and he doesn't respect people like that. And while
<v Speaker 1>Punk was gone, regardless of what Punk thinks about him,
<v Speaker 1>and then at that point he goes, I'm gonna take
<v Speaker 1>a step back here because your breath's a little rough.
<v Speaker 1>Regardless of all that, Owens says, he did pretty well
<v Speaker 1>for himself twelve years consistently in this ring before this injury.
<v Speaker 1>He's won titles, right Universal Champion, something else Punk will
<v Speaker 1>never get to do. He main have vented WrestleMania against
<v Speaker 1>Stone Cold Steve Austin. Punk said, you did, you did? Congratulations.
<v Speaker 1>He was happy for him then, he's happy for him now.
<v Speaker 1>But does Owens really think that he would have been
<v Speaker 1>afforded those opportunities if he was still here, like Punk
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't have been picked before Owens. Owens asked him to
<v Speaker 1>tell him why he thinks he wouldn't have gotten those opportunities.
<v Speaker 1>Go ahead, say it. Why do you think I would
<v Speaker 1>not have gotten those opportunities? Because it's the same thing
<v Speaker 1>you thought about me twenty years ago? What am I? Huh?
<v Speaker 1>He goes, Am I some fat indie slob who should
<v Speaker 1>be on the other side of the guardrail? Punk said,
<v Speaker 1>Is that what I think of you? Or is that
<v Speaker 1>what you think of yourself? He's here tonight in Boston
<v Speaker 1>as the undisputed WWE champion, and he's got a locker
<v Speaker 1>room full of guys that want to be champion. Says Hell.
<v Speaker 1>He's calling out Obafemi, which is what he did on
<v Speaker 1>the Summer Slam post show. He's calling out Obafemi and
<v Speaker 1>instead he gets endometriosis. Now, I don't even get the
<v Speaker 1>joke there, right. First of all, isn't that something that
<v Speaker 1>only women get. I mean, I don't really understand what
<v Speaker 1>he was going for. Like, if you want to make
<v Speaker 1>a fat joke, there's a million other ways that you
<v Speaker 1>could do that. It's like a million other diseases or
<v Speaker 1>things that he could have mentioned there at least make
<v Speaker 1>it make sense. That line didn't really make any sense
<v Speaker 1>to me, Punk says, Owens wants to listen to Punk
<v Speaker 1>disparage him. He looks at Owens and he sees a
<v Speaker 1>tough guy. He really does. He would be a fool
<v Speaker 1>to take him lightly. He sees a guy who speaks
<v Speaker 1>two languages when he can barely speak one, which means
<v Speaker 1>that Owens is smarter than him. But then he also
<v Speaker 1>sees a guy that avoids the work, that doesn't try
<v Speaker 1>to be at least one percent better every single day,
<v Speaker 1>and that makes him stupid. He sees a tough guy,
<v Speaker 1>but he's a bum. Owens avoids the hard work. He
<v Speaker 1>calls Punk a shape shifter. But really, I've evolved. I
<v Speaker 1>want to be better than I was the day before.
<v Speaker 1>If Owen's had done half the work that Punk has
<v Speaker 1>done in his career, maybe he would have been able
<v Speaker 1>to avoid that. Bill Goldberg spear that ended the last
<v Speaker 1>time that Owens had a championship belt around his waist.
<v Speaker 1>Owens asked him, you think I want to be more
<v Speaker 1>like you? I've spent my career avoiding that. He's convinced
<v Speaker 1>that Punk for all the title and all the money
<v Speaker 1>that he has. When he goes home, he looks in
<v Speaker 1>the mirror and he hates who he is him. He doesn't.
<v Speaker 1>He loves who he is. He's always been the same guy.
<v Speaker 1>He's the same guy that Punk screamed at twenty years ago.
<v Speaker 1>And guess what, that fat indie loser is in the
<v Speaker 1>ring with him right now, and he's facing him for
<v Speaker 1>the WWE Championship next week. And you know what, being
<v Speaker 1>like Punk probably wouldn't have helped, because, after all, Punk
<v Speaker 1>couldn't avoid that Roman reign spear at WrestleMania. Punk says
<v Speaker 1>he looks at keV and he sees himself from twenty
<v Speaker 1>years ago, someone who's stubborn and loud, always thinking he's
<v Speaker 1>the smartest guy in the room. But he still sees
<v Speaker 1>the same guy he saw twenty years ago. And Owen says,
<v Speaker 1>does that bother you? Because I never seeked out your
<v Speaker 1>advice or your guidance. He's regretted for twenty years not
<v Speaker 1>punching Punk in the mouth in that locker room. Punk said,
<v Speaker 1>why don't you do it now? Noen said, you know
<v Speaker 1>why I didn't do it then because I know that
<v Speaker 1>you would have ruined my career and that would have
<v Speaker 1>been it. And he's not gonna do it now because
<v Speaker 1>next week in Toronto, he not only gets to punch
<v Speaker 1>Punk in the face. He's waited twenty years. Okay, so
<v Speaker 1>he could wait another seven days for that, but he
<v Speaker 1>gets to beat his bitch ass for the WWE Championship
<v Speaker 1>after punching him in the face. Punk said, twenty years ago,
<v Speaker 1>Owens was a greenhorn who stepped into his locker room
<v Speaker 1>and thought he could get away with speaking to him disrespectfully,
<v Speaker 1>and he's been crying about the consequences ever since. You say,
<v Speaker 1>you've never looked up to me. That's fine by me,
<v Speaker 1>because in Toronto, that's exactly what he's gonna do when
<v Speaker 1>he puts his fat ass to sleep. You know, Owens
<v Speaker 1>has actually trimmed down from the last time we saw him.
<v Speaker 1>He actually is not as heavy as he was prior
<v Speaker 1>to the injury. So I just want to point that out.
<v Speaker 1>I thought this was largely great outside of that one
<v Speaker 1>weird line from Punk. I thought this was great. The
<v Speaker 1>crowd was pretty quiet for it, which did hurt the
<v Speaker 1>segment a little bit, but they did, they did. They
<v Speaker 1>did bring up the T shirt incident. I was I
<v Speaker 1>was wondering, you know, when I told you guys about
<v Speaker 1>it all those weeks ago, because there were people who
<v Speaker 1>had never heard that story before. I was like, I'm
<v Speaker 1>almost certain it'll be worked into one of these promos,
<v Speaker 1>And sure enough, there it was. We had our T
<v Speaker 1>shirt story here. They just never mentioned the T shirt part,
<v Speaker 1>and we had a Young Bucks reference without actually naming
<v Speaker 1>the Young Bucks. But this was everything I was hoping
<v Speaker 1>the Punk and Cody exchange was going to be, you know,
<v Speaker 1>in the lead up to SummerSlam, and I was very
<v Speaker 1>disappointed in that. But punkin Owens in me or yeah,
<v Speaker 1>punkin Owens, they had more material to work with, to
<v Speaker 1>be fair, they had a lot more material here to
<v Speaker 1>work with. See, it was never really good to work
<v Speaker 1>as well with punkin Cody as it did here with
<v Speaker 1>punkin Owens, because like with these two, there's nothing manufacted,
<v Speaker 1>or at least it doesn't come off that way doesn't
<v Speaker 1>come off as manufactured. This feeling that you have two
<v Speaker 1>men in the ring, as we did tonight, who genuinely
<v Speaker 1>feel like they don't like each other. And it's especially
<v Speaker 1>noticeable how it kind of radiates off of Owens towards Punk,
<v Speaker 1>maybe more than Punk towards Owens, but like, you don't
<v Speaker 1>have to really take the extra step, I think to
<v Speaker 1>convince people that these two might possibly not like each
<v Speaker 1>other in real life, even if that really isn't the case.
<v Speaker 1>With Cody and Punk, it was more like, all right,
<v Speaker 1>you got to try to. That's why we got like
<v Speaker 1>the belt shot to the face by accident. And then
<v Speaker 1>at the live event, you know, when they were teaming up,
<v Speaker 1>they showed highlights of Cody like back elbowing Punk in
<v Speaker 1>the face, and it was so forced and it just
<v Speaker 1>didn't work. You know, I like to see what they
<v Speaker 1>were trying to do, but it just didn't work. Here.
<v Speaker 1>You just let these two go in the ring together
<v Speaker 1>and put a mic in their hands and just let
<v Speaker 1>them go off on each other. And so I thought
<v Speaker 1>this was quite good. Punk Punk came off definitely is
<v Speaker 1>more of the heel in this segment, especially calling you
<v Speaker 1>calling him fat you're a fat ass, although honestly, Owens
<v Speaker 1>was insulting himself more than more than like Oways was
<v Speaker 1>the one who called himself a fat indie slob, like
<v Speaker 1>those words never left Punk's lips. Punk kind of had
<v Speaker 1>a point that one line he goes, is that how
<v Speaker 1>I think of you? Or is that how you think
<v Speaker 1>of yourself? Because you're the one who keeps calling yourself
<v Speaker 1>as so maybe maybe there's a little insecurity on your part.
<v Speaker 1>But I mean, look, that was certainly a criticism of
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens many many years ago that certain people had
<v Speaker 1>and probably people in WWE, which is why there were
<v Speaker 1>many many years that went by where Kevin Stein was
<v Speaker 1>not signed by the company, not until much later on.
<v Speaker 1>And it was people like Punk and Brian Danielson who
<v Speaker 1>helped knock those doors down, that helped usher in an
<v Speaker 1>era of talent that included people like Kevin Owens, who
<v Speaker 1>Vince McMahon and John Lourniis and people like that would
<v Speaker 1>never have given a second thought to There's a reason
<v Speaker 1>why Samoa Joe was passed on by WWE for many years,
<v Speaker 1>and it wasn't until Triple H brought him into NXT
<v Speaker 1>in two thousand, fifteen, which by the way, was only
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be for NXT. And there's a real like
<v Speaker 1>he was able to keep his name, he was able
<v Speaker 1>to work some outside like indie shots. It was a
<v Speaker 1>very weird contractor, like a very weird arrangement they had
<v Speaker 1>with Joe, But Joe got so over It's like, of course,
<v Speaker 1>how are you not going to bring this guy to
<v Speaker 1>the main roster? You out of your fucking mind. So
<v Speaker 1>eventually he made his way to the main roster. But
<v Speaker 1>by that point it was twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, Like
<v Speaker 1>those those prime Joe years were lost to TNA and
<v Speaker 1>Dick tattoos on his face. After that great stuff that
<v Speaker 1>Joe did with Kurt Angle, Like imagine Vince McMahon, WWE
<v Speaker 1>could see the talent that they had in Joe, even
<v Speaker 1>though he wasn't their prototypical WWE star. Imagine bringing him
<v Speaker 1>in years earlier, what he could have done with John
<v Speaker 1>Cena and Randy Orton and Punk and all those guys. Right,
<v Speaker 1>But like, it took years for people like that to
<v Speaker 1>even get a second look. So I'm sure Owen's heard
<v Speaker 1>that criticism Alon, but I'm sure he does carry that
<v Speaker 1>with him. I don't know that I've I've ever heard
<v Speaker 1>Punk refer to him that way or Punk ever did,
<v Speaker 1>like even in the locker room back then, But it
<v Speaker 1>was it was kind of funny that it was Owens,
<v Speaker 1>you know, was the one who was constantly bringing that
<v Speaker 1>up here in this promo without Punk even saying those words.
<v Speaker 1>The other thing is like Punk going after him for
<v Speaker 1>not putting in the work, that rang a little hollow
<v Speaker 1>to me. I mean, unless he was talking about his physique,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I mean, no one is gonna look at
<v Speaker 1>like the fans are not gonna look at Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>and say, oh, this guy, you know, he hasn't put
<v Speaker 1>in the work. You know, the guy's busted his ass
<v Speaker 1>for the last decade. He's had some you know, great matches,
<v Speaker 1>and he's been in all these different feuds and wars.
<v Speaker 1>And so again, that's what I mean when I say
<v Speaker 1>Punk is the one who came off as more of
<v Speaker 1>the heel. And now you're going into Canada, You're going
<v Speaker 1>into Toronto next week, it's gonna be even worse. Not
<v Speaker 1>that Punk is gonna not have any fans there, but
<v Speaker 1>like it's gonna be a very heavily pro Kevin Owen's crowd,
<v Speaker 1>and I think they have to know that, you know,
<v Speaker 1>going into the match next week. So I'm looking forward
<v Speaker 1>to the match. I'm looking forward. It shouldn't make for
<v Speaker 1>a very fun atmosphere, I think in that building, and
<v Speaker 1>if you give them enough time and you know, probably
<v Speaker 1>through two commercial breaks, you know, whatever it is to
<v Speaker 1>go out there and do what they can do, it
<v Speaker 1>should be a great match. I believe this is legit
<v Speaker 1>the first one on one match these two have ever
<v Speaker 1>had in their entire careers together. Too bad it took
<v Speaker 1>this long to get there, but I'm glad we're finally
<v Speaker 1>getting it. Backstage, Finn Balor was having a conversation with
<v Speaker 1>Nick Aldis, who apologize for not giving Baler a heads
<v Speaker 1>up about the change to his Summer Slam match, and
<v Speaker 1>Gunther interrupts. He still wants all this to answer for
<v Speaker 1>pulling a fast one on him at Summer Slam, not
<v Speaker 1>realizing that Balor is standing right there. All this is like,
<v Speaker 1>oh I didn't notice, gunh says, all he sees is
<v Speaker 1>the shadow of what Balor used to be. Balor calls
<v Speaker 1>him a condescending prick, says he's happy to go through
<v Speaker 1>Gunher to get himself another shot at the title, and
<v Speaker 1>Gunther left at that point. So when I said earlier
<v Speaker 1>like Gunther is a man with no direction, he is
<v Speaker 1>still a man with no direction. But at least now
<v Speaker 1>we know we're headed towards a Gunther and Finn Balor match.
<v Speaker 1>At least he has something coming up, something on the horizon.
<v Speaker 1>What was on the horizon next was a three way
<v Speaker 1>for the WWE Tag Team Championship. It was Our Truth
<v Speaker 1>and Damian Priest defending their titles against the Triple A
<v Speaker 1>Tag Team champions, the war Raiders and the MFTs. Tomatonga Tallatanga,
<v Speaker 1>who came out with hak who crowd was quiet for
<v Speaker 1>most of this match, the Vikings, they looked like they
<v Speaker 1>were about ready to end Truth when Priest made the save.
<v Speaker 1>He ended up though, taking a pop up power slam
<v Speaker 1>through the time Keeper's barricade outside back inside. Tomatongo went
<v Speaker 1>for Cutthroat, but he missed, and Truth did all of
<v Speaker 1>his stolen John Cena spots, and then this led to
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs hitting their brothers keeper the double power bomb
<v Speaker 1>finish to pin Truth to win the WWE Tag Team titles.
<v Speaker 1>Wade Barrett on commentary, He mentioned that Haku who got
<v Speaker 1>into the ring and celebrated with his men, his boys.
<v Speaker 1>He mentioned that Haku once held those very tag team
<v Speaker 1>titles with Andre the Giant about three and a half
<v Speaker 1>decades ago. Those were the Colossal Connection days where Andre
<v Speaker 1>could barely move. Andre spent most of his time either
<v Speaker 1>on the apron or tied up in the ropes resting,
<v Speaker 1>and Haku did most of the work. It did lead, though,
<v Speaker 1>I will say it did lead to a big tag
<v Speaker 1>team title change of WrestleMania at the SkyDome, where the
<v Speaker 1>crowd just exploded when Demolition won the belts. That was
<v Speaker 1>their third tag team time. That effectively was the end
<v Speaker 1>of Demolition that night, because within within a few months
<v Speaker 1>they turned them heel, They got the lod into the company,
<v Speaker 1>and at that point they didn't give a shit about Demolition.
<v Speaker 1>That was like the peak of Demolition. I don't mind this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't mind them putting the belts on the MFT.
<v Speaker 1>The MFT is now they're a team. It's not some
<v Speaker 1>you know, garbage faction that they are half assing and
<v Speaker 1>they don't want to put the effort into to get
<v Speaker 1>us to really care about any of those people. If
<v Speaker 1>you are not going to put the effort in to
<v Speaker 1>get me to care about a group of people, then
<v Speaker 1>I am not going to give a shit. That's how
<v Speaker 1>it works. That's why the fans didn't care about the MFTs.
<v Speaker 1>They didn't react to the MFTs when they were out there.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody cared about Solo and Tama and fucking j C.
<v Speaker 1>Matteo and Taalatanga because we were not given a reason
<v Speaker 1>to give a shit. And then came the whole feud
<v Speaker 1>with the Wyat six and it was just one long
<v Speaker 1>six month period of just absolute dogshit. These two is
<v Speaker 1>a tag team managed by Haku. I think is fine
<v Speaker 1>again once they brought Hakku and it seemed pretty clear
<v Speaker 1>they were gonna end up getting those tag team belts. Otherwise,
<v Speaker 1>what's the point If you're bringing in Haku to try
<v Speaker 1>to give these guys a new age or like a
<v Speaker 1>new attitude, it doesn't make any sense. Then put them
<v Speaker 1>in the tag team title picture and just have them
<v Speaker 1>get beat. It also frees up Damian Priest, who can
<v Speaker 1>now do things other than just be stuck in tag
<v Speaker 1>team hell. I don't know what he's gonna do next,
<v Speaker 1>but it can't be any worse than being stuck in
<v Speaker 1>a dead tag team division, So I'm fine with this.
<v Speaker 1>We had Tiffany Stratton up next, defending her women's United
<v Speaker 1>States Championship. Shout out to number one almost sapien I
<v Speaker 1>spotted him in the chat earlier twenty three months of
<v Speaker 1>channel membership, says, what are your thoughts on the reports
<v Speaker 1>that SmackDown is going back to three hours in January?
<v Speaker 1>I have no thoughts. This is what happens every year.
<v Speaker 1>I know it's coming. I try not to think about it.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully it will take a long time to get to January.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna enjoy two hours of SmackDown while it lasts.
<v Speaker 1>I don't give a shit how many things end up
<v Speaker 1>being left off the show. Oh don't you think it
<v Speaker 1>needs to it? No, no, I don't If things are
<v Speaker 1>being left off the show, do a better job of
<v Speaker 1>rotating people in and out of the show. You will
<v Speaker 1>never convince me that SmackDown can only be a good
<v Speaker 1>show if it's three hours long. There are still people
<v Speaker 1>out there are some people out there who still believe that.
<v Speaker 1>They still believe that to be true. That's a lie.
<v Speaker 1>Don't believe them. Tiffany Stratton against jac Jane for the
<v Speaker 1>Women's United States Championship. Tiffany came into this at less
<v Speaker 1>than one hundred percent. She had the busted up ribs
<v Speaker 1>from the angle earlier in the show when she attempted
<v Speaker 1>to make the safe for Chelsea Green. After a commercial break,
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea hit ringside to check on Tiffany and she stayed
<v Speaker 1>out there. Tiffany got her second wind. She hit the
<v Speaker 1>cartwheel Alabama slam, headed up top for the Sentan bomb,
<v Speaker 1>and boy, she came down like Jeff Hardy does these
<v Speaker 1>days on the Swantan. She came straight down on top
<v Speaker 1>of jac with all of her weight and just knocked
<v Speaker 1>all the air out of her lungs. So later on
<v Speaker 1>she hit the prettiest moonsalt ever, but Jace got the
<v Speaker 1>knees up on the landing, so she covered and Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>kicked out. Jace tried for the rolling encore Tiffany, though,
<v Speaker 1>caught her with a knee strike instead, and at ringside,
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea starts getting into it verbally with Fallon Henley and
<v Speaker 1>Lanny Reid. Meanwhile, Tiffany heads up top she's gonna finish
<v Speaker 1>things off. She's gonna try for another pme, but she
<v Speaker 1>notices that her friend, her partner outside is being ganged
<v Speaker 1>up on, and so she ops instead to hit a
<v Speaker 1>crossbody out onto Fatal Influence to save her friend. But
<v Speaker 1>that decision proves to be very caught because as Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>gets back in the ring, Jacy Jane is there and
<v Speaker 1>she blasts her in the head in the face with
<v Speaker 1>the rolling encore and she folds her up for the one,
<v Speaker 1>two three, and new and new Tiffany Stratton no longer
<v Speaker 1>the United States Champion as a match. This was not
<v Speaker 1>very good. Uh, but that is back to back title
<v Speaker 1>changes here on this show. And now all three members
<v Speaker 1>of Fatal Influence, they are draped in gold. And to
<v Speaker 1>the point that I made earlier in the review when
<v Speaker 1>I talked about this, you know Tiffany and Chelsea now
<v Speaker 1>that it was very clear the reason that Tiffany lost
<v Speaker 1>her championship is because she decided it was more important
<v Speaker 1>to save her friend. That will create some problems now
<v Speaker 1>between Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green. And so when Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>is medically cleared in thirty days or however long it takes,
<v Speaker 1>the first person who's going to be coming after her
<v Speaker 1>and her Women's championship should be Tiffany Stratton. Tiffany should
<v Speaker 1>blame her, and that is going to be how we
<v Speaker 1>get Tiffany Stratton as a heel. If they know what
<v Speaker 1>they're doing with Tiffany Stratton, that is the direction to
<v Speaker 1>take here. Even Tiffany herself has been asked about this
<v Speaker 1>in interviews and she has said the same thing, that
<v Speaker 1>being a heel, being the bad guy, it comes more
<v Speaker 1>naturally to her. It's still weird for her to be
<v Speaker 1>a babyface. She doesn't really know how to do it.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't seem like she's comfortable in that spot. So
<v Speaker 1>make the move when the time is right. She turns
<v Speaker 1>on Chelsea, probably'll end up being the one to take
<v Speaker 1>that championship from Chelsea, and then by the time Rhea
<v Speaker 1>Ripley comes back, we may be looking at Rhea trying
<v Speaker 1>to get the belt back, not from Chelsea but from
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany Stratton. Story is right there. Our main event was
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes one on one with Sammy's A. This, of course,
<v Speaker 1>if you looked at the clock when this match was
<v Speaker 1>going to the ring, was very unlikely to actually happen
<v Speaker 1>because we had about five minutes left in the show.
<v Speaker 1>So our main event was actually not to be, because
<v Speaker 1>before Sammy's Ain could even hit the ring, Cody was
<v Speaker 1>already in the ring. Before Sammy's Ain could even hit
<v Speaker 1>the ring, Randy Orton attacks Cody from behind. I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>be surprised if there was shit that had to be
<v Speaker 1>cut from this show tonight. It did kind of feel
<v Speaker 1>like they were rushing a little bit towards the end
<v Speaker 1>to make sure they got in what they needed to
<v Speaker 1>get in. And again they went off the air. I
<v Speaker 1>mean maybe it was intentional, but they went off the
<v Speaker 1>air and there was still stuff going on. But Randy
<v Speaker 1>comes in right away and he delivers a draping DDT
<v Speaker 1>to Cody. Then the bell hasn't rung, so this match
<v Speaker 1>never officially got started. Now he's setting up for the RKO.
<v Speaker 1>Cody avoids it, and he counters into what is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a crossroads. Randy reaches up though, and gouges
<v Speaker 1>his eyes, puts his thumbs in his eyes. Is able
<v Speaker 1>to break that up, and he tosses Cody out to
<v Speaker 1>the floor. So Orton goes outside and he picks up
<v Speaker 1>the steel steps hits Cody in the face with the
<v Speaker 1>steel steps. Orton then places the steps the top part
<v Speaker 1>of the ring steps up against the announced desk. It's
<v Speaker 1>very similar to what they did many months ago when
<v Speaker 1>they were building to wrestle Many. He leans him up
<v Speaker 1>against the announced desk. So meanwhile they end up in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd and Cody threw a drink in his face
<v Speaker 1>and there, you know, he hits Randy in the head
<v Speaker 1>with a garbage can and they're just kind of fighting
<v Speaker 1>through the cry a little bit deeper and deeper into
<v Speaker 1>the crowd, you know, not up the stairs or anything,
<v Speaker 1>but just kind of around and on the main floor.
<v Speaker 1>And then they fight their way back to ringside, right
<v Speaker 1>over by the announced desk, and they go to do
<v Speaker 1>the same exact spot that they did pre wrestle Mania.
<v Speaker 1>This is before McAfee got involved and infected the WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>main event, where you had Cody laying on top of
<v Speaker 1>the announced desk. Orton has his head placed in the
<v Speaker 1>crevice of the ring steps, which are leaned up against
<v Speaker 1>the desk. Randy grabs a chair, he stands on top
<v Speaker 1>of the announced desk and he is going to smash
<v Speaker 1>this man's brains in. Now, there are officials that are
<v Speaker 1>out there and they're not doing a damn thing to
<v Speaker 1>stop him. So Orton is standing on top of the
<v Speaker 1>desk and he raises the chair into the air like
<v Speaker 1>he's going to kill this man, and Cody kicks him
<v Speaker 1>right in the crotch. By the way, we get far
<v Speaker 1>too many of these, Can I just say that it
<v Speaker 1>feels like we get an over abundance of low blows
<v Speaker 1>in this company these days. They rely on that spot
<v Speaker 1>way too much, Way too many dick kicks going on.
<v Speaker 1>I know it's an easy way you kick somebody in
<v Speaker 1>the dick, but like you got to dial it back.
<v Speaker 1>It's too much. Cody stands up now on the desk.
<v Speaker 1>He has the chair. He hits Orton in the back.
<v Speaker 1>He's very careful in hitting Orton in the back with
<v Speaker 1>the chair because the last thing you want to do
<v Speaker 1>is reinjure Randy Orton's back. So but he hits him
<v Speaker 1>in the back with the chair. And now Orton very
<v Speaker 1>gently he lays down, and now he's in that position
<v Speaker 1>where his head is in between the crevice of the
<v Speaker 1>ring steps. Cody lifts the chair above his head. He's
<v Speaker 1>gonna bash his brains in. But now Davari, one of
<v Speaker 1>the agents, he jumps up on the desk, and he
<v Speaker 1>snatches the chair out of his hands and saves Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton's life. And now all the agents they grab Cody
<v Speaker 1>and they pull him off the top of the announced desk.
<v Speaker 1>Now the credits are rolling as they're holding Cody back.
<v Speaker 1>Cody breaks free, he gets back up on the desk,
<v Speaker 1>and at that point they ran out of time. Where's
<v Speaker 1>Tony Shavanni would say back in the day, We're desperately
<v Speaker 1>out of time, and they fade out. And so in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of all this, the show just ended. I
<v Speaker 1>do love how they were going to allow Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>to murder this man with the chair, but when Cody
<v Speaker 1>holds the chair up, no we can't allow this. We
<v Speaker 1>got we got to pull that shit out of his hands.
<v Speaker 1>We got to save Randy Orton here. We don't give
<v Speaker 1>a fuck about Cody getting his brains bashed in or
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton. No, no, no, we got to put a
<v Speaker 1>stop to this. So they reshot the same angle that
<v Speaker 1>we just saw five months ago, or at least some
<v Speaker 1>variation of it. Not very creative. I would have liked
<v Speaker 1>to have seen them do something completely different come to
<v Speaker 1>the same result, But they just ran the same angle back.
<v Speaker 1>At least we got some real action between these two.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't the action we were promised. We were promised
<v Speaker 1>the main event and we didn't get it, which I
<v Speaker 1>thought was actually very lame, even though it does feed
<v Speaker 1>into the hole like Sammy's ain, you know, justice for
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Sammy is screwed gimmick, It feeds right into that.
<v Speaker 1>But we didn't get a lot of good wrestling on
<v Speaker 1>this show. So if ever there was a show where
<v Speaker 1>we could have used the Cody Roads Randy Orton main
<v Speaker 1>event and give those guys like ten minutes, this was
<v Speaker 1>the night for that, and unfortunately we didn't get that.
<v Speaker 1>I did enjoy the show, though, more than the average SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>largely because of the opening segment in the Cody and
<v Speaker 1>Punk segment, or rather the the Owens and Punk segment,
<v Speaker 1>and then that plus the two title changes, at least
<v Speaker 1>made the show newsworthy, even though I didn't think in
<v Speaker 1>either of the two title changes the matches were particularly good.
<v Speaker 1>Toronto next week should be fun, though with the championship match.
<v Speaker 1>The only thing is, you know, with Sammy getting screwed
<v Speaker 1>out of what would have been had he won a
<v Speaker 1>guarantee title shot against either CM Punk or Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>coming out of next week. Now he gets nothing because
<v Speaker 1>he was screwed again, which in my mind all but
<v Speaker 1>guarantees like maybe it was gonna happen anyway before if
<v Speaker 1>you really think about it, But now like all but
<v Speaker 1>guarantees that this match is getting fucked next week by
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's a. Samy's Ain is gonna get involved. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to be beside himself. He's been screwed one too many
<v Speaker 1>times now he's not even getting the shot, so he's
<v Speaker 1>going to fuck everything up next week. I am convinced
<v Speaker 1>that this, But that was backdown there you go. Still,
<v Speaker 1>you're a women's champion for now, Chelsea Green. Now the
<v Speaker 1>goal before I get into your superchats, the goal from
<v Speaker 1>the wheel was five point fifteen. We're about one hundred away.
<v Speaker 1>What are we We're four four sixteen less than one
<v Speaker 1>hundred away. Can we do it? I don't know. We'll
<v Speaker 1>find out in a little bit. Get to the superchats first.
<v Speaker 1>We'll find out shortly. We didn't do be the Booker
<v Speaker 1>on Wednesday. We did it on Monday. We didn't do
<v Speaker 1>it Wednesday. At this rate, it may be it may
<v Speaker 1>be Monday before we get back to it, Sammy winning
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank. I've had people tell me that
<v Speaker 1>they think Dominic Mysterio is gonna win money in the
<v Speaker 1>bank because he's been booked so poorly. Hey about, how
<v Speaker 1>about they just don't know what the fuck to do
<v Speaker 1>with Dominic and he's being punished. How's that for an answer?
<v Speaker 1>It's like me happy to hear people for years now,
<v Speaker 1>La Knight's gonna win money in the bank. La Knight's
<v Speaker 1>gonna win money in the bank. How'd that work out
<v Speaker 1>for you? Joseph Stewart is with us on a Friday.
<v Speaker 1>Happy Friday, Joseph, could you see the Undertaker starting up
<v Speaker 1>a wrestling promotion? Uh? No, it's called Triple A. It's
<v Speaker 1>the one he's running right now. What the hell does
<v Speaker 1>he need to start up a wrestling promotion for. He's
<v Speaker 1>already got one. He's in a great position actually, because
<v Speaker 1>he basically runs the company but not the business end.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't have to worry about any of the business decisions.
<v Speaker 1>He doesn't have to worry about investing his own money.
<v Speaker 1>You want to lose money, go ahead and start a
<v Speaker 1>wrestling promotion if you like burning money. Starting a wrestling
<v Speaker 1>promotion is a great idea. Otherwise, I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>you would ever want to do it. Is the reason
<v Speaker 1>why the Undertaker wore sunglasses and a bandana out in
<v Speaker 1>public was to stay in disguise. No, he's like a
<v Speaker 1>biker guy. That's just what they wear. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>don't think it had anything to do with him trying
<v Speaker 1>to disguise himself. It's kind of hard to disguise yourself
<v Speaker 1>when you're walking around. He you're six foot ten and
<v Speaker 1>you look like you look like the Undertaker, looks like
<v Speaker 1>you're not going to be able to really hide yourself.
<v Speaker 1>The Disney Convention is happening this weekend. Marvel is supposed
<v Speaker 1>to have a panel on Avengers Doomsday tonight. Hell, if
<v Speaker 1>there's any movie coming out that you know, could potentially
<v Speaker 1>make the money that Spider Man made or even beat it,
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna be Doomsday. I'm still not convinced that it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna beat what Spider Man did, though. We have a
<v Speaker 1>super pony. Gunther is ice cold right now. I feel
<v Speaker 1>nothing when I see him, nor do I take him serious.
<v Speaker 1>He needs to take time off or something, because this
<v Speaker 1>ain't it. Yeah, they just don't have a real direction
<v Speaker 1>for him. I mean I thought he was great again
<v Speaker 1>is that douchebag heel and that opening segment? But he
<v Speaker 1>doesn't have a real direction right now. Broley says, nine
<v Speaker 1>thirty seven and still two matches left, you know, one
<v Speaker 1>of which we didn't get. Kratis Grado says, as Jim
<v Speaker 1>Cornett says, how do you make five million dollars in wrestling?
<v Speaker 1>Start with ten? It's true he would know. I mean
<v Speaker 1>he ran a promotion, not for very long. How long
<v Speaker 1>does Smokey Mountain last? Three years? Dried Chicken says goodbye,
<v Speaker 1>Carmelo hayes he should have left SmackDown when he had
<v Speaker 1>the chance last year. Mellow is dead un SmackDown. I
<v Speaker 1>cannot feel sorry for him now. Well, he doesn't control
<v Speaker 1>the booking. I mean, he can't transfer himself to Raw.
<v Speaker 1>How are you gonna blame him? Come on, dude, he
<v Speaker 1>doesn't make those decisions. Super Pony Sammy one hundred percent
<v Speaker 1>is costing Owens after that ending, they're really telegraphing it
<v Speaker 1>a lot. Either that or Nick adds him and makes
<v Speaker 1>it a triple threat. Yeah, I'd rather we not be
<v Speaker 1>continuing to add people to matches. At the last minute,
<v Speaker 1>like it's SummerSlam. That was fun, but like, can we
<v Speaker 1>not do that? Please? Dry Chicken says, I laugh when
<v Speaker 1>Paul Levec and the creative challenge and defy logic. It's
<v Speaker 1>challenge and defy logic at sometimes that the McMahon family
<v Speaker 1>is strange. I think you kind of butchered the super

<v Speaker 1>Oh man, I missed the whole Okay, let me go
<v Speaker 1>back here. I missed the whole bunch of from here. Uh.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph Stewart, oh man, these we're all. Joseph, My god.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph says, who do you think was more like Batman,
<v Speaker 1>the Undertaker or Sting? Well, I'm gonna say Undertaker who
<v Speaker 1>literally came down from the heavens at Madison Square Garden
<v Speaker 1>dressed like Batman one year at Survivor series, and thankfully
<v Speaker 1>he never did it again because that was fucking awful.
<v Speaker 1>Remember we had the bat Wings in ninety six. Who
<v Speaker 1>is Undertaker's Joker mankind or Caine mankind? Easily mankind? And
<v Speaker 1>Scarlett Johansson is playing Poison IV in The Batman Part two? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there's so many pieces of news leaking like
<v Speaker 1>I don't even pay attention to most of it. I'll
<v Speaker 1>rely on you to keep me posting. Why is Triple
<v Speaker 1>H booking dom to look bad because he's being punished
<v Speaker 1>for comments that he made publicly a few months ago
<v Speaker 1>about his terrible booking, of which he said nothing that
<v Speaker 1>was false. He's clearly being punished. Adam Driver has been
<v Speaker 1>cast as the villain in the X Men movie. Another
<v Speaker 1>x Men movie. Huh, Joseph, thank you death syth what's
<v Speaker 1>your favorite Hulk Hogan's real American bullshit fable? Mine is
<v Speaker 1>the one which involves Simon Cowell traveling back in time
<v Speaker 1>to the eighties. I like the fact that Hogan had
<v Speaker 1>the chance to become a Pride fighter in the seventies,
<v Speaker 1>even though Pride fighting didn't exist back then. Can we
<v Speaker 1>go with that one? Flamethrower fluff Saulsberry? Two things. Number one,
<v Speaker 1>that Chelsea promo was fire And number two, my oldest
<v Speaker 1>son got engaged today on his twenty ninth birthday. Well,
<v Speaker 1>congrats to your son. That is very cool, that's a
<v Speaker 1>very cool feeling. I said, this is where, for whatever reason,
<v Speaker 1>I skipped over all those and we picked up with
<v Speaker 1>super Ponies. So let's now go back to where we
<v Speaker 1>left off here. And I'm not gonna say that name
<v Speaker 1>thank you for the dollar ninety nine, Jeremiah, the four
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine, the Chelsea Green and Punk KOs segments are
<v Speaker 1>what they call a good piece of business. Yeah, the
<v Speaker 1>Chelsea stuff at the beginning I thought was the best
<v Speaker 1>part of the show. I thought that was great and
<v Speaker 1>it's really cool that the fans responded to her as
<v Speaker 1>positively as they did. Venom Ktetsu says, how can hog
<v Speaker 1>be called wrestling when there's no ads on the turnbuckle pads,
<v Speaker 1>no ads on the canvas and the audience wasn't being
<v Speaker 1>bombarded by commercials thirty seconds into every match? Wasn't sure
<v Speaker 1>what I saw on Friday? Confused? Yeah, I guess we're
<v Speaker 1>sports entertainment, I guess, and not wrestling. I guess that's
<v Speaker 1>what you would call it. But hey, if Dudewipes wants
<v Speaker 1>to have a conversation about a sponsorship, we're all ears.
<v Speaker 1>We're all ears. Did you hear about that the new
<v Speaker 1>Dude Wipes sponsorship that TNA picked up. They're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>the dude Wipe sponsor who's called Deuce. It's a giant
<v Speaker 1>pack of dude wipes with arms and legs. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to be appearing on TNA television. Soon they're going to
<v Speaker 1>integrate Deuce into a TNA storyline. I can't wait not
<v Speaker 1>to watch Dried Chicken says Gunther is not white, He's albino. No,
<v Speaker 1>that's shamous Misfit Wrestling podcast. I love how WWE all
<v Speaker 1>of a sudden gives a shit about the thirty day
<v Speaker 1>title rule, Like, why wasn't this rule applied to brock
<v Speaker 1>Lesner and Roman reigns. It's called selective enforcement. Only when
<v Speaker 1>it is convenient for them to do so do they
<v Speaker 1>abide by the rules. Very inconsistent. Thank you, though for
<v Speaker 1>that thirty dollars drop. I appreciate that super Pony with
<v Speaker 1>the nine ninety nine. I thought Ko won the promo
<v Speaker 1>battle tonight. Punk constantly fat shaming Owens is not impressive
<v Speaker 1>at well, I mean, to be fair, I mean Owens
<v Speaker 1>was fat shaming himself. He's the one who kept bringing
<v Speaker 1>it up. I expect more from the so called best
<v Speaker 1>promo guy in the business. But I think Ko is
<v Speaker 1>better on the mic. Ko is fantastic on the mic.
<v Speaker 1>There's an authenticity to him and to Punk. But honestly,
<v Speaker 1>like more so Ko these days that Jason Jason Tar
<v Speaker 1>with that fifty dollars gunhar bomb Jason, thank you. I
<v Speaker 1>love the name. We we almighty with a ten. Did
<v Speaker 1>you see that worked ass trash can that Cody hit
<v Speaker 1>Orton with? That motherfucker was filled with nothing but white
<v Speaker 1>paper plates and napkins, not one bottle can or piece
<v Speaker 1>of actual trash in sight. You know, with Orton these days,
<v Speaker 1>you gotta be very careful. He's very delicate Lakers, Pats.
<v Speaker 1>Why did Triple H want to work SmackDown four when
<v Speaker 1>he did two and eight? I mean four right, he
<v Speaker 1>was in the middle of his reign of terror. Why
<v Speaker 1>would he want to work SmackDown He already had the
<v Speaker 1>belt on raw dry Chicken. If Tiffany Stratton turns heel
<v Speaker 1>on Chelsea pop the eye out. I have no idea
<v Speaker 1>you oh you mean oh the uh yeah, the the
<v Speaker 1>Rollins and raymystereo angle, they could pop the the eye
<v Speaker 1>right out of that orbital huh. Venom Ktetsu did enjoy
<v Speaker 1>watching my first hog show last week in all seriousness,
<v Speaker 1>Still not confident in the industry overall, but it was
<v Speaker 1>fun and hopeful. You guys in Triple A are keeping
<v Speaker 1>a pulse going much appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully we'll be streaming on YouTube again for our next show.
<v Speaker 1>I'm working to make sure that that happens. But I
<v Speaker 1>believe High Intensity is up to eighty thousand views and
<v Speaker 1>counting on the YouTube channel, So if you haven't seen it,
<v Speaker 1>go check it out. Misfit Wrestling podcast. Hiromu Takahashi has
<v Speaker 1>been revealed as Shinsky Nakamore's partner. Really just like that?
<v Speaker 1>Where was that also announced on Twitter? Like? Apparently the
<v Speaker 1>blakeman Roe Julia match was? I gotta see when that
<v Speaker 1>blakeman Roe Julia match was announced? See her? Because I
<v Speaker 1>didn't see anything about that. But then again, I was
<v Speaker 1>getting ready to go live, so I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>I would have seen that. I still don't see anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. Let's see Blake Monroe, nick All, this informs
<v Speaker 1>Blake Monroe and she will make her SmackDown debut again?
<v Speaker 1>Did this? This? Did this the nare on the show?
<v Speaker 1>Did it? Did I miss this? I mean this had
<v Speaker 1>to be an exclusive, an online exclusive, because I didn't
<v Speaker 1>see this on the show. Wait a minute, fan, hold
<v Speaker 1>on a second here, Julia lost to Miechen on main event.
<v Speaker 1>Miechen took on Julia on main event and beat Julia.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look, I already told you guys, she's done.
<v Speaker 1>I told I told you that last time. What was
<v Speaker 1>I talking about? Uh? What was last week? Probably the
<v Speaker 1>week before? I already told you she's done. Julia is done.
<v Speaker 1>She's cooked. And it almost doesn't even matter whether she
<v Speaker 1>stays on SmackDown or she goes to Raw. She's done.
<v Speaker 1>She's finished. It's over. So her losing to Michen and
<v Speaker 1>if she's gonna be wrestling Blake Monroe, I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>already know the outcome of that. She's done. It's over.
<v Speaker 1>But what is this? What is this hero moving? I
<v Speaker 1>know we got that segment with the knackamoora last week.
<v Speaker 1>Let me see. Okay, so there was there was a video. Again.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this was maybe bumped from the show,
<v Speaker 1>but wwe posted this at eleven twenty three pm. Let
<v Speaker 1>me see. I don't have the audio here, but let
<v Speaker 1>me watching this video. Oh yeah, that's yeah, Yeah, that's him.
<v Speaker 1>That's definitely him. So basically it's it's Knackamore cutting a
<v Speaker 1>promo and then in the back behind him there's some
<v Speaker 1>sort of screen or something and you see a silhouette
<v Speaker 1>of somebody and you see like the shoulder length, like
<v Speaker 1>stringy hair. That's totally Heroma. Oh yeah, all right, so
<v Speaker 1>they're bringing in Hiromo Takahashi to the main roster. Wow.
<v Speaker 1>So they sent Evil to NXT and Heroma was going
<v Speaker 1>to the main rock. There was a report though that
<v Speaker 1>Evil had requested to start in NXT, so I wonder
<v Speaker 1>if there's any truth to that. Arabian Night is Ilia
<v Speaker 1>and Jordan just done with WWE Also, Blake Monroe is
<v Speaker 1>almost in julia territory. What a waste. Jordan needs to
<v Speaker 1>leave and Ilia would kill it in aew. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what's going on with Ilia Dragonov. His career has
<v Speaker 1>basically just come to a standstill. Jordan Grace. I feel
<v Speaker 1>the same way about Jordan Grace that I do Julia,
<v Speaker 1>which is unfortunate to say, but it just seems like
<v Speaker 1>it just seems like they have nothing for her, And
<v Speaker 1>that's a death spot to be in. That is not
<v Speaker 1>a spot that you want to be in because that
<v Speaker 1>makes you expendable because ultimately, the decisions on whether or
<v Speaker 1>not people need to be cut, they don't come from
<v Speaker 1>necessarily Nick conn even. I mean, if there are people
<v Speaker 1>that need to be cut. It could be a TKO
<v Speaker 1>thing where they kind of give you the directive like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we got to shed some we got to trim the
<v Speaker 1>fat here and shed some weight from this roster. Pick
<v Speaker 1>some men and women to get rid of. And at
<v Speaker 1>that point you have the directive and you kind of
<v Speaker 1>look at what you have and if there are people
<v Speaker 1>who aren't being used, you're going to be the first
<v Speaker 1>one gone. I wouldn't want to be in a position
<v Speaker 1>like that. That's kind of where they are at this point.
<v Speaker 1>It's said, it's inexplicable to me, inexplicable spray JC jokes
<v Speaker 1>on the career killer Cardonah showed up DOA, so Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>Gunther has no career to kill, is what you're saying.
<v Speaker 1>Cardona was already DOA when he came in. Joseph Brooks,
<v Speaker 1>do you think Sean Oliver and Bill Apter should have
<v Speaker 1>worked with WWE? They could have been either color commentators, interviewers,
<v Speaker 1>or even on the creative team. I mean, I have
<v Speaker 1>no idea what their creative ideas would even be. Would
<v Speaker 1>they even be qualified to be on the creative team?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, should they have worked for WWE? They obviously
<v Speaker 1>didn't want to where WWE had no interest in them.
<v Speaker 1>But no, I don't think they had to work for WWA.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think Bill after in WWE would have worked.
<v Speaker 1>Bass Beers says they botched Seena's retirement run and now
<v Speaker 1>Gunther Yeah, pretty much, Libido bell. I know nothing about baseball,
<v Speaker 1>you know nothing about Halo, but just know we both
<v Speaker 1>share the feeling of being let down over and over
<v Speaker 1>and over again. How do you know I may be
<v Speaker 1>the best Halo player around? I just keep it a secret.
<v Speaker 1>You don't know. Combat Theater with A nine ninety nine.
<v Speaker 1>I uploaded new content on my channel all combat sports related.
<v Speaker 1>I want to start this journey due to my passion
<v Speaker 1>for combat sports. Any support means the world from the community. Solo,
<v Speaker 1>what's the name of it? Is a combat theo? I
<v Speaker 1>guess it would be combat theater. Stupid question. Well there
<v Speaker 1>you go, go, check that out. Combat theater. That's a
<v Speaker 1>theater as in tre at the end, not ter combat theater.
<v Speaker 1>I wish you all the luck, brother. It's not easy.
<v Speaker 1>It's not easy to start a new YouTube channel and
<v Speaker 1>get in now. It's actually very difficult. But I wish
<v Speaker 1>you all the best. If you're passionate about something and
<v Speaker 1>you're consistent and you're putting out quality content, obviously your
<v Speaker 1>content has to be good. Just grind it out and
<v Speaker 1>hopefully you'll find success. Browley seven shout out to HBK
<v Speaker 1>for believing in j C. Jane and her improving so
<v Speaker 1>much in a year. In a perfect world, all of
<v Speaker 1>fatal influence our world champion material. I think Fallon Henley.
<v Speaker 1>I still feel like I haven't seen enough of Laney
<v Speaker 1>Reid to really judge, but Fallon Henley could absolutely have
<v Speaker 1>single success. At some point, Jeremy Rose thought Gunther was
<v Speaker 1>going to get his heat back by power bombing Chelsea,
<v Speaker 1>and then I remembered I'm watching WW. Well, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>she's not even medically clear. Dude her, You want empower
<v Speaker 1>bombing Chelsea with a fucking broken orbital bone. It's the
<v Speaker 1>matter with you. We don't do man on women violence
<v Speaker 1>in WWE, but you know what, why don't we do
<v Speaker 1>it tonight? And we'll do it with the woman who
<v Speaker 1>has a broken face. That'd be a great. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>let's have Gunther give her a lariat. How about that?
<v Speaker 1>That's a great idea. The real CS Is it fair
<v Speaker 1>to say that Tatum is a modern day Daphne. She
<v Speaker 1>gives off that vibe to me. I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>say that. I don't want to say that. Let her
<v Speaker 1>be the first Tatum Pasley. I don't like making these
<v Speaker 1>comparisons unless it's just so overt, and I'm not ready
<v Speaker 1>to say that. It's a similar kind of look and everything,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like a kind of goth look. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>heard her scream, though Daphne was a screamer on that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the real comparison would be. Jeremy says,
<v Speaker 1>buy or cell. Jada comes to the main roster as
<v Speaker 1>Jade's newest baddy, but eventually realizes Jade is using her
<v Speaker 1>and it leads to a feud, a big pl e.
<v Speaker 1>There are better ways to introduce Jada Parker. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why you would introduce her as just like a
<v Speaker 1>lackey for Jade. She's already got two of them. I
<v Speaker 1>think that debuting her in a different way, where she's
<v Speaker 1>not like a follower would probably be the better way
<v Speaker 1>to go. Jeremy says, Chelsea should should have said fuck
<v Speaker 1>your thirty days live in Jade never defended their titles.
<v Speaker 1>Have you ever heard the expression don't look a gift
<v Speaker 1>horse in the mouth. She should have just been happy
<v Speaker 1>that she was able to keep her championship for another
<v Speaker 1>thirty days. You gotta pick and choose your battles. Jeremy
<v Speaker 1>Solo is actually a top five Halo player, Damn right.
<v Speaker 1>Bace Beer is punk used to be skinny fat. That's
<v Speaker 1>what they call them. Fioria's Nation, what's up? Solo? Can't
<v Speaker 1>believe I'm turning thirty this Sunday. Much love to you
<v Speaker 1>and jd Well. Happy birthday, Furious Nation. You're hitting the
<v Speaker 1>big three to zero. You're washed. That's it. Your best
<v Speaker 1>days are behind you now. I hope you have a
<v Speaker 1>great birthday. Even better you turn thirty On SoundOff Sunday,
<v Speaker 1>you'll get a brand new sounduff to enjoy. Libido Bell.
<v Speaker 1>What are three pros and cons of New York? Hello
<v Speaker 1>from Georgia. Cons definitely the weather. The winters fucking suck
<v Speaker 1>in New York. I know it's worse in certain other places,
<v Speaker 1>like oh woe is me, but like fucking fuck winter, man,
<v Speaker 1>fuck winter, fuck the snow, fuck the ice. Just fuck
<v Speaker 1>it all, man, fuck the snow, fuck ice, funk fuck
<v Speaker 1>everything about it. So that's a con what's a pro. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know, living in the city city, being
<v Speaker 1>any of the five boroughs, easy access to whatever I need.
<v Speaker 1>I could literally like I'm within walking distance of basically
<v Speaker 1>everything I need. I technically do not need to use
<v Speaker 1>my car to pretty much do all of the essential
<v Speaker 1>things that I need to do. And that is very convenient.
<v Speaker 1>You could probably say that about any you know, city,
<v Speaker 1>any major like metropolis, but I live in this one,
<v Speaker 1>so I can't speak to others, so I like that.
<v Speaker 1>And also like in New York, I mean there's a
<v Speaker 1>lot to do. Yeah, you want to make a day
<v Speaker 1>of in goo in the city and go hit up
<v Speaker 1>different landmarks or different activities, whatever it may be. You
<v Speaker 1>got plenty to do, so I would say that's a pro.
<v Speaker 1>It's also very it's like the biggest media market, so
<v Speaker 1>if you're a sports fan, like there's no shortage of
<v Speaker 1>like games you could go to. You might not have
<v Speaker 1>that luxury in a smaller market. So when you're in
<v Speaker 1>a bigger market, I mean that could be an advance.
<v Speaker 1>But then again, it's also noisy and it's dirty, and
<v Speaker 1>I have a love hate relationship with New York death
<v Speaker 1>side says, didn't Hogan also say he once killed ANOCHI No,
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember him saying that. He said a lot
<v Speaker 1>of stuff. I don't know about him ever. Saying that
<v Speaker 1>though Furious Nation with the four ninety nine SmackDown was decent,
<v Speaker 1>but hate that it got cut out at ten pm
<v Speaker 1>makes me wish SmackDown was off USA Network. Sure, Triple
<v Speaker 1>h would rather book two and a half hours than three,
<v Speaker 1>Like you've said, I don't even want two and a
<v Speaker 1>half hours of smack Down. I don't want more than
<v Speaker 1>two hours of SmackDown. I accept that in January it
<v Speaker 1>will become three hours. Again, I don't want more than
<v Speaker 1>two hour hours of SmackDown. This show has largely sucked.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want more of this show. They have not
<v Speaker 1>demonstrated to me that they can consistently book SmackDown as
<v Speaker 1>a show that is exciting and interesting to watch. Every
<v Speaker 1>now and then you'll get a good SmackDown. Tonight was
<v Speaker 1>better than the usual one show. That's all it is,
<v Speaker 1>and then it'll be right back to the usual nonsense.
<v Speaker 1>So keep it at two hours. Two hours is fine again.
<v Speaker 1>You can rotate people in and out as needed, But
<v Speaker 1>whatever goodwill they had with me when it came to
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown died years ago, Super Pony. Do you think it
<v Speaker 1>would be better if Sammy causes a DQ next week
<v Speaker 1>instead of screwing Ko and having him eat a pin?
<v Speaker 1>I think we get a triple thread at Sunday Night's
<v Speaker 1>main event where Sammy eats the pin. I'm already expecting
<v Speaker 1>some sort of lame, fucking, you know, shitty finish next week,
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, I would rather you not beat Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>clean and then preserve it to run it back with
<v Speaker 1>another match. I think that's fine. I'm already kind of
<v Speaker 1>I'm already conditioning myself to the fact that that's probably
<v Speaker 1>the finish we're gonna get. Try check and Julia should
<v Speaker 1>take a picture with Tony Kah. Could be the fastest
<v Speaker 1>way to her getting out of her contract. Gary Sean
<v Speaker 1>with a nine ninety nine, just showing some love. Thank you,
<v Speaker 1>ah bd O is with us my first time catching
<v Speaker 1>a stream in age is happy to see familiar faces.
<v Speaker 1>Where have you been? He was on a secret mission overseas.
<v Speaker 1>Worry you hmm, I go. He doesn't want to share
<v Speaker 1>the details of it, but me territory over there he
<v Speaker 1>had to take care of some stuff, but now he's back.
<v Speaker 1>Joseph Stewart, Hello, Solomonster, I'm back with breaking news. They
<v Speaker 1>just released the new trailer of Avengers Doomsday and Robert
<v Speaker 1>Downy Junior looks awesome. Is doctor Doom? I heard his
<v Speaker 1>Doctor Doom voice. He's got the accent and everything. Victor
<v Speaker 1>von Doom Gary with another nine ninety. I see Gary
<v Speaker 1>assisted in getting us to the ten out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>Just noticed on the bonus goal. And Joseph says the
<v Speaker 1>new X Men movie will be released in theaters in
<v Speaker 1>May of twenty twenty eight. Oh oh, wait a minute,
<v Speaker 1>and Indie Navaretti has been cast as Rogue. Really see
<v Speaker 1>that I did not know. I'm very happy to hear that.
<v Speaker 1>I'm a big Indi Navaretti fan after obsession, think she's great?
<v Speaker 1>Is that confirmed? I have to I have to see
<v Speaker 1>this is confirmed, though, I hope. So that's great. Ah, yes, ah,
<v Speaker 1>that's great. That is great news. I'm a big Indie
<v Speaker 1>never Ready fan. Is that the right character for her though?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but I'm glad she got the part.
<v Speaker 1>Good for her. I know she says she wanted to
<v Speaker 1>be in a Marvel movie. So that is very cool,
<v Speaker 1>Gary Man, thank you again for all that love. And
<v Speaker 1>we have death sythe death Side says I just did
<v Speaker 1>some research and he said he accidentally killed Anochi with
<v Speaker 1>his axe bomber and U sepr to bring him back
<v Speaker 1>to life. Then I've never heard him say that. If
<v Speaker 1>it did, then you could add to the pile. You
<v Speaker 1>can add it to the pile of hoganisms from over
<v Speaker 1>the years, because I bet you one hundred thousand dollars
<v Speaker 1>that did never actually happened. EJ slimed with the four
<v Speaker 1>and ninety nine breaking Indy Navaretti cast as Rogue in
<v Speaker 1>X Men twenty twenty eight. Adam Driver will also play
<v Speaker 1>mister sinister boy. That you talk about a quick rise
<v Speaker 1>to fame from one role in a movie that costs
<v Speaker 1>less than a million dollars to make, to go from
<v Speaker 1>that to fucking rogue in X Men. Good for her man,
<v Speaker 1>that's awesome. For those who don't know, Indy Navaretti's the
<v Speaker 1>one who played Nicki, the the main character in the
<v Speaker 1>movie Obsession, which if you still have not seen Obsession,
<v Speaker 1>shame on you. I don't know what you're waiting for.
<v Speaker 1>And she will be nominated for Best actress. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know she'll win. She should, but it would be impossible
<v Speaker 1>for me to fathom her not getting an domination. A right,
<v Speaker 1>we hit the ten out of ten bonus goal and
<v Speaker 1>the main goal. What was the main goal? Oh, we
<v Speaker 1>beat that too, Look at that two rounds be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't realize that. Vitty, good vity, good vity, goood
<v Speaker 1>we have two rounds coming up. Obsession left me absolutely crushed. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, I got to rewatch it. I've only
<v Speaker 1>seen it like thirty times so far. So my new
<v Speaker 1>favorite thing to do is, like every time there's a
<v Speaker 1>new reaction, like an Obsession reaction video on YouTube where
<v Speaker 1>people watch it for the first time, I have to
<v Speaker 1>watch it. They always pop up in my recommendeds and
<v Speaker 1>I always watch. I've so through those now. I've literally
<v Speaker 1>seen the movie like thirty or forty times at this point,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm still not tired of it. It's so great.
<v Speaker 1>I mean it just I'm talking like not even the
<v Speaker 1>movie itself, like in the fact that it's an original
<v Speaker 1>story and all that, but just like the acting in it,
<v Speaker 1>the sound, the use of shadows, the music, the mood,
<v Speaker 1>the light, like everything about it. It's just so well done.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's be the booker. Ladies and gentlemen. It
<v Speaker 1>is now time to be the booker. It is time
<v Speaker 1>to be the booker. And shout out Curry Barker Man,
<v Speaker 1>all this obsession love. He's a YouTuber. Maybe I should
<v Speaker 1>write a screenplay. I'm on YouTube. I'm obsessed. Yes i am,
<v Speaker 1>I'm obsessed with obsession. Yeah, it's funny about that. That
<v Speaker 1>was total word of mouth. I didn't even know that
<v Speaker 1>movie existed two weeks before I went to go see it,
<v Speaker 1>but everybody wouldn't shut up about it. I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>I guess I have to go see it. And it's
<v Speaker 1>my favorite movie of the year. It's one of my
<v Speaker 1>favorite movies period. It has moved to believe it or not,
<v Speaker 1>it has moved up my list. I don't know where
<v Speaker 1>it ranks, but it's pretty high up through on my
<v Speaker 1>list of all time favorite movies. All right, tag teams,
<v Speaker 1>be the Booker. Here we go. We are going to
<v Speaker 1>begin with I'll wait a minute, Nick, all this calls
<v Speaker 1>for you to add a stipulation. We just started. We
<v Speaker 1>just started already, we're adding stipulations. All right, Well, we're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have the first ever tag team fight pit match.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think we've ever actually had one of these
<v Speaker 1>in real life. I don't remember if we've had one,
<v Speaker 1>and be the booker before, I don't think so. I
<v Speaker 1>don't believe so, he shout out. Since when said cycle
<v Speaker 1>Channel member for sixteen months, would you have any suggestions
<v Speaker 1>for a Lado Oscuro del Ring Lucha Libre edition my
<v Speaker 1>great uncle Russell del Santo in the seventies. Cheers. That's
<v Speaker 1>very cool. I'm not sure. Do you mean lady Oscuro?
<v Speaker 1>You mean like, I'm not sure what the question is.
<v Speaker 1>If it is, I don't know. I don't know who.
<v Speaker 1>I'd have to think about that as far as who
<v Speaker 1>I would pick in that role. But maybe you can
<v Speaker 1>clarify for me. All Right, we have a fight pit
<v Speaker 1>match with the Guns Austin and Colton Gun. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think fight pit when I think of the Guns. Oh
<v Speaker 1>dark side of the Ring? Okay, so you're saying a
<v Speaker 1>dark side of the Ring Lucha Libre edition? Is that
<v Speaker 1>what you're saying? Well, in that case, Oh my gosh,
<v Speaker 1>who is there? Oh god? His name just popped out
<v Speaker 1>of my head. The wrestler who died many years ago
<v Speaker 1>in the match. Remisterio went to give him six one nine.
<v Speaker 1>He was in the ropes Paris del Mal. God, who
<v Speaker 1>am I thinking of? Why did his name pop out
<v Speaker 1>of my head? They should do they could do one
<v Speaker 1>on him, because that was incredibly sad what happened with
<v Speaker 1>him the New Day against the Guns. Do you realize
<v Speaker 1>that this could be an actual match very soon, just
<v Speaker 1>without the fight pit stipulation. Thank you, Pero Aguayo Junior.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know why his name just popped out of
<v Speaker 1>my head, Pero Aguayo Junior. I mean, that's a video
<v Speaker 1>I wish I had not seen. Women's be the booker
<v Speaker 1>Ivy Nile. I can't remember the last time Ivy Nile
<v Speaker 1>was even on TV. Ivy Nile and Camille, speaking of
<v Speaker 1>which it's a battle between two women who couldn't buy
<v Speaker 1>television time. I can't I can't remember the last time
<v Speaker 1>I saw Camille on TV. Either she came back and
<v Speaker 1>then she just disappeared again, and now it's been months
<v Speaker 1>and again I don't remember when it was the last
<v Speaker 1>time that we actually saw her on TV. So if
<v Speaker 1>Ivy Nile and Camille were to wrestle each other, it
<v Speaker 1>would obviously be off the air somewhere they might actually
<v Speaker 1>fight in the locker room. This is not going well, guys.
<v Speaker 1>This round to be the booker is a fail so far,
<v Speaker 1>an epic fail. The Catering title match. Yes, they're going
<v Speaker 1>to have a food fight in Catering. We need the
<v Speaker 1>main event to save it. Okay, this is a good
<v Speaker 1>start right here. We have Kenny Omega, the reigning aw
<v Speaker 1>world champion. Save us Kenny, save us Kenny Kenny Omega
<v Speaker 1>against j Huso. Yes, yes, I hit the wrong sound effect.
<v Speaker 1>But then we corrected ourselves. We corrected our ourselves. I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>Juso in the main event is just an automatic fail.
<v Speaker 1>We needed a strong main event and then you give
<v Speaker 1>me jay Usso in the main event. I'm giving that
<v Speaker 1>the buzzer. I don't give a fuck what you say.
<v Speaker 1>That was an awful round. I don't know what else
<v Speaker 1>to say. That was an awful, awful round. But thankfully
<v Speaker 1>because we hit the bonus goal. We're not done yet.
<v Speaker 1>We are not done. We get another bite at the apple,
<v Speaker 1>we get another crack at it. Yes, we do, just
<v Speaker 1>push all the buttons. I'll head every sound effect that
<v Speaker 1>I have. We get to try again. Guys, we get
<v Speaker 1>to redeem ourselves. You know, Kenny Omega was supposed to
<v Speaker 1>win the aw World title at Redemption. We're going to
<v Speaker 1>get our own redemption here. I could feel it. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have a blindfold match, all right, Maybe I was lying.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna have a blindfold tag team match, which sounds terrible.
<v Speaker 1>This sounds like an awful idea. This is a terrible idea.
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Gargano and Tomaso Champa. Wow, look at this. This
<v Speaker 1>is going back, man, This is old school. This is
<v Speaker 1>them is tag team Champions on SmackDown, back when Johnny
<v Speaker 1>Gargano actually wrestled. Do you remember that? Do you remember
<v Speaker 1>when Johnny Gargano actually wrestled? My memories are a little fuzzy,
<v Speaker 1>but I think he actually used to get in the
<v Speaker 1>ring and do wrestling moves. But it might not matter
<v Speaker 1>here because they're gonna be blindfolded against Chronic a blindfold match.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, what is wrong with be the booker tonight?
<v Speaker 1>I think be the booker is it's it's like protesting
<v Speaker 1>Gargano and Champa against Chronic in a blindfold match that
<v Speaker 1>might be worse than anything I booked in the first round.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, this is this is not going well. Be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker has been cursed by Dan Hausen. It feels
<v Speaker 1>like it three stages of Hell. I feel like we're
<v Speaker 1>in three stages of hell right now. You could never
<v Speaker 1>return to this territory. We have a three stages of
<v Speaker 1>hell women's match. There we go, all right, we might
<v Speaker 1>be on the right path. Here we have Tony Storm,
<v Speaker 1>not timeless, but we have Tony Storm. I have a
<v Speaker 1>good feeling about this. I think we're back on the
<v Speaker 1>right path Tony Storm, and we have dar you right,
<v Speaker 1>that's her name now? I forgot her wwe name Sonya Deville.
<v Speaker 1>I was I was stuck there for a moment. I
<v Speaker 1>had to unstick myself. I was frozen. I was frozen today. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's a buzz. That's a buzz. Guys. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know what to tell you.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what to tell you. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what to say. But all I know is that we
<v Speaker 1>have one match left to try to save this thing,
<v Speaker 1>or we get the dreaded double sweep. But it's like
<v Speaker 1>the double opposite sweep. What are we look at here?
<v Speaker 1>We're looking at a barroom brawl. I think Be the
<v Speaker 1>Booker might have been hanging out at the bar for
<v Speaker 1>a little too long. This is the sixth match that
<v Speaker 1>I'm booking here. Can we get one? Can you give
<v Speaker 1>me one? At least? Can we do that? We have
<v Speaker 1>a barroom brawl with Ah Finally, finally, finally, Brett the
<v Speaker 1>hitman Heart, the best there is, the best that there was,
<v Speaker 1>and the best that there ever will be. He's going
<v Speaker 1>to save us, save us, Brett. Finally, finally, Brett Hart
<v Speaker 1>against Hollywood Hulk Hogan in a bar room brawl. We
<v Speaker 1>are saved. We are saved. We got one, guys, we
<v Speaker 1>got one. Brett's gonna beat that ass. That's for Summer Slam, motherfucker.
<v Speaker 1>The Summer Slam that never was but should have been.
<v Speaker 1>Hogan's getting his ass beat by little teeny Brett Hart.
<v Speaker 1>We went one for six. I think Be the Booker
<v Speaker 1>should try out for the Mets. I think it would
<v Speaker 1>fit right in. At least, look, at least I gave
<v Speaker 1>you one. At least I gave you one. Siam, Welcome
<v Speaker 1>to the channel. Came in at just the right time.
<v Speaker 1>We just booked a hell of a match. Dried Chicken.
<v Speaker 1>They should do a dark Side of the Ring episode
<v Speaker 1>on Sexy Star and so that's not a bad one.
<v Speaker 1>That's another good one. Although I mean, if that's the
<v Speaker 1>only thing for them to really cover that was overly negative,
<v Speaker 1>that's going to be a very boring episode. If it's
<v Speaker 1>just what she did in that match, you know, fucking
<v Speaker 1>up Rosemary's arm. I don't know that that's enough to
<v Speaker 1>do a dark side of the Ring episode on. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>consider a different career path besides booking. I mean, let's
<v Speaker 1>be honest, here, is my booking really that much worse
<v Speaker 1>than what we're getting on TV from week to week?
<v Speaker 1>Let me cut me some slock link Master says no yeat, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>no no yeat, no yeat. In the main event, Venom
<v Speaker 1>Catetsu says, be the booker not as bad as the
<v Speaker 1>Wyatt and Gangrel night. Yeah, at least Gangrel wasn't watching
<v Speaker 1>us tonight. That's good. Dry Chicken says Tony Storm against
<v Speaker 1>Sonya Deville, Booker T and Vic Joseph on commentary that's sithe. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that would probably be on WWE Radio. Death Site says, oh,
<v Speaker 1>it gets better than After reviving in Noki, Hogan had
<v Speaker 1>to secretly flee Japan to hide from the Yakuza says, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I smell bullshit. Bro. Where did he say this in
<v Speaker 1>his book? His book is in the fiction section of
<v Speaker 1>the bookstore. Retro Koh. Tom McGee versus jenn Moraska in
<v Speaker 1>a mixed match would be better than this. Tom McGee
<v Speaker 1>and Jenna Morasca. They're gonna end up hooking up. It's
<v Speaker 1>going to be the couple that we all never expected
<v Speaker 1>and didn't know we needed. Tom McGee and jennim Raska.
<v Speaker 1>They become happily ever after, right. Super Pony says, what
<v Speaker 1>is your preferred finish for punk and Ko Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>wins the WWE Championship. That's my preferred finish package pile
<v Speaker 1>Driver one, two three? Uh? Since when said Clyde? Why
<v Speaker 1>do I say Clyde? Since when said cycle my eyeballs?
<v Speaker 1>I think that said Clyde? Google Granda r N in
<v Speaker 1>TRIPLEA and Video Insane Physique Granda Gronda RN? What the
<v Speaker 1>hell Acetaliana went? What Dark Side of the Ring episodes
<v Speaker 1>on Alberto del Rio and Patrick Clark? I think both
<v Speaker 1>of those would also be good subjects. Link Master, Dark
<v Speaker 1>Side of the Ring, Jay Jay Usa and Dried Chicken.
<v Speaker 1>Brett Hard against Hogan. Loser has to buy beer for
<v Speaker 1>the boy. I'm telling you, man, thank god we got
<v Speaker 1>that match at the end, at least we guess we
<v Speaker 1>saved it there a little bit at the end. R
<v Speaker 1>n as in right now. Google Gronda right now. There's
<v Speaker 1>someone named Gronda in triple A. Granda, triple a. What
<v Speaker 1>the fuck? What is this? What is this a real?
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god? Who is this? Wait, there's more than one,
<v Speaker 1>because Luca Wiki says Gronda too, there's more than one.
<v Speaker 1>This doesn't look he's wearing a body suit. Dude, that's
<v Speaker 1>not real. That's like a body suit that he's wearing.
<v Speaker 1>It's gotta be Yeah, that's a body that's like, that's
<v Speaker 1>gotta be a body suit. Yeah. I've never heard of
<v Speaker 1>this person, but that that physique is wild. Anyway, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>you have to go ahead and google. You'll see what
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking about. Thank you, guys for hanging out with
<v Speaker 1>me here on a Friday night. I will be back
<v Speaker 1>with you on YouTube on Monday for the Raw post show,
<v Speaker 1>as I will be for Dynamite on Wednesday and a
<v Speaker 1>big SmackDown next week. They're gonna be in Toronto. We
<v Speaker 1>got the WWE Championship on the line. Before that, we
<v Speaker 1>have episode nine seventy six of the sound off coming
<v Speaker 1>up on Sunday, including my Dark Side of the Ring
<v Speaker 1>recap on mister Wonderful Paul Orndorf, Super Pony Jay usso
<v Speaker 1>equals EDP. I'll come on now, No, EDP is slime.
<v Speaker 1>Do not make that comparison. That is that is a
<v Speaker 1>disgusting human being, is EDP. Hopefully he'll get what's coming
<v Speaker 1>to him soon enough. Anyway, Be well, stay safe, have
<v Speaker 1>yourselves a great weekend wherever you may be. Hit that
<v Speaker 1>like button, leave a comment on the video underneath, get
<v Speaker 1>the discourse going, and I will see you for the
<v Speaker 1>sound off on Sunday, and then back here on Monday
<v Speaker 1>night live on YouTube for the raw post show. Brian,
<v Speaker 1>You're very welcome. Thank you. Until then, take care, guys,
